Disappointed. I downloaded this app as I am an RN for a VAMV. It was working great until last Friday. It suddenly disappeared and I have shut down my iPhone completely and sent message for help from an old email I received from them a while back. I keep getting the message their was an error as I need to connect to the internet. How is that even possible if I have internet working perfectly. All I have is the main page only able to access their news. Nothing else. I have sent messages to their customer support center. No response. Now unable to work from home or do my video calls. That is not good service.

Best app for video visits. I have been very happy with this app. Great way to mask my number for phone calls when I’m on call. Also by far the best HIPAA compliant video app I’ve used for telemedicine. Very easy to use and patients find it extremely easy. Nothing for the patient to download, so you can connect on video virtually instantly. I highly recommend this and the app developers do a great job of taking feedback. Updates have been helpful and really improve the product each time. Very happy to now see an iPad version in the works too!

Saved my practice during Covid. I’ve been using this app for quite some time and have watched it go from great to excellent. I used to use it 2-3 times per day but during Covid I’ve started using it 10-12 times per day as we now use it for entire tele-visits, whether it be via phone or video. My hospital’s preferred tele-health solution is cumbersome for patients and we would have lost MANY visits had it not been for this app. The hospital’s concern is that this is so simple that patients may not realize it’s a visit but a little communication from the front-end staff has eliminated that concern. Keep up the excellent work and updates! Features in beta at the time of this review are needed and excellent so feel free to roll them out!

Allows me to call from my office and be anywhere. No longer do I have to worry about calling patients after hours or on the weekend from my house and exposing my privacy. It allows me to easily communicate with patients originating a call from my office number. It makes the patient feel much safer when he sees that number and recognizes it and allows me to have privacy. Game changer!

Amazing product. This app provides the most user friendly HIPPA compliant two way audio visual communication I have found. With the added benefit of calling the patient from my cell phone with caller ID showing my office number. And with the phone call option I can actually walked him through the process of connecting with a video call. With the addition of the Hyppa compliant fax this product could be your all in one patient communication solution. It is user-friendly for both the provider and patient. I have found very very few patients that were unable to connect to the two way audio visual portion of this app as long as they have a smart phone or computer with a camera and microphone attached. I have also use this app to call patients after hours showing my office number, for this reason alone it is worth getting this app.

Issue with abstract reading. The most recent version has an issue when reading abstracts. If I click the “Read More” button to expand an abstract, then the whole app freezes. This has REALLY hindered the functionality of the app, as this is its main purpose in my life. This is one of two functions I utilize, the other being the dialer (which is great for calling patients from my personal phone, but comes up with my office phone number in their caller ID). I’d be happy to change this review, should this problem be fixed in the future. In fact, the app could be even better: if I click on an article, it’d be great if the entire abstract was immediately expanded for my review. (Less clicks would be great.)

Good app, major glitch. I would give this app five stars, because it’s a very good app in most regards. However, there is one major glitch, which warrants a low star rating to alert the development team to the problem, so it may be fixed. The residency navigator section has a drop-down at the top of the screen that allows you to select a different specialty to view programs’ sizes, avg step scores, reputation, etc. However, sometimes when you go to the residency navigator section there is no drop-down at the top of the screen, just the header, “residency navigator.” As such, you’re stuck looking at the same specialty and cannot navigate to another specialty even if you want to. This has happened to me twice. The way I fixed it the first time was by deleting the application off the phone and reinstalling it. I wish I would not have to do this and the glitch was fixed

Wonderful app. Update: Doximity has begun charging for Dialer calls of >40 minutes, so I have started paying for the service. I am still really happy with it.——————- I am very much a fan of Doximity. I was originally mildly interested in it for connecting with old classmates, and somewhat interested in the news. But now, particularly since I’m practicing from home and exclusively online, I use it daily. I understand it is HIPAA-compliant: 1) I use Dialer to call patients. I use my own cell phone, but Dialer disguises my phone number, using my office number as the Caller ID. 2) I use another service sometimes, but many of my patient visits are using Dialer. I can place only an audio call, or can send a link to my patient’s cell phone. They click on it and we have a video call. The quality of the connection is overall good, of course often limited by the cell signal my patient is experiencing. 3) I can send and receive faxes. Just yesterday, I had to complete an FMLA form. I scanned it, saved the images, and securely faxed the images. It was quick and easy. And this is FREE!! I imagine Doximity is using and selling my data somehow, but I really have no complaint.

Correcting mistakes during Texting. Hello. When I am in an unsent message and trying to correct typos after writing a colleague a text message , the text box takes me back to end of message every time even if I tap the message and get my cursor there in body of message where I want to correct.. After getting cursor to my correction spot, typing any key ( even backspace) , takes me back to end of message. And I have to scroll up to the area I am correcting every time I type every letter or space or back space etc. Ugh . Too tedious.

This App Has Changed My Professional Life. This app is amazing! I am a NP that found it hard to call Patients away for The clinic or office. Before I was able to call my patients through Doximity patients would not take my call because my personal cell number was blocked or came up as an unknown number and it was very difficult to reach them. Now when I call patients they pick up because they see is that office calling and they actually pick up the phone. I used to get so frustrated when patients know I would be calling them back and they wouldn’t answer the phone. This has decreased my level the frustration a great deal!! Now my patients know exactly who’s calling them! I am so happy with this app. Thank you

Doesn’t Cater to Rural Health Clinics. I downloaded the app on a recommendation from a colleague. It would be a good resource to utilize when I am on call, as some won’t answer a call from a blocked phone number. It seems that the app itself is very limited to who can use it. I work at a new rural health clinic. We are very small and do not have the luxury of a email system with a .edu / .org, etc., we also don’t have the luxury of picture IDs for our clinic...on top of that, a license verification from my Board wouldn't cover the verification process either. This app has the potential to reach and help a lot of providers, who need access to resources for clinics in impoverished areas...but right now, it doesn’t meet those standards.

Great for doctors. Nick and hopeful application for a doctors and has relevant articles and you can specialize as to which field do you want me in salary and new doctors I want of the most underrated features is the dialer where you can use it to call patients and families and mask your cell phone number so it appears I guess coming from the office that is an awesome feature and free not to mention Hyppa compliant and you can use it for a video or phone call or director voicemail

Lack of Free Discussion-Removes Comments From Medical Peers. I noticed recently that peer comments and even my own had been removed whenever the material didn’t match the article agenda. I discovered this while trying to locate a research link from a colleague’s comment. Doximity is pushing very specific agenda with incredibly opinionated (and non-scientific) articles with a pseudo appearance of encouraging medical discussion through the comment section where they freely delete opposing views. I’m incredibly disappointed in Doximity and will not promote or purchase from them in the future. Freedom of speech is important especially among the medical specialties. I’ve never seen a medical site accept posts from NPR, NYTimes, Washington Post, etc as equivalent to medical journals or peer reviewed research. At first I saw glimpses of their pushed agenda but now it’s so blatant - few articles are actually research now, with most articles trying to cause division in the medical field. Don’t waste your time or money on this app.

Love this!!. i’ve been using this app for several years, but now with COVID-19 I have transitioned to telemedicine and working from home so I am using this daily now. this app is wonderful, i use the dialer so patients see our office phone number when i call a patient for an appointment or if I'm on-call. This is great because through personal experience I've learned patients do not pick up if they do not recognize the phone number or if its a restricted number (hey, I'm the same way too). I can also fill out and sign forms electronically via my personal doximity fax number....and all from my cell phone . I love this.

Best App ever. I have for years wanted the ability to call patients back when on-call without exposing my personal cell number. In fact, I used to change numbers every couple of years for this reason. Many patients’ phones block calls from blocked numbers. This app allows me to call and the Caller ID shows up as my office number. We also now use this for HIPAA compliant virtual visits with patients and they don’t even have to download an app. They just get a text with link to tap and we are connected. Just love this app.

Such great help during the pandemic. As we have all moved to virtual appointments with our patients, a restructuring of the work flow had been needed . With Documity’s help, I am now able to call my patients on my cell and my office phone will show on the patients caller ID. This has been so helpful as patients often don’t pick up the phone when they see unfamiliar numbers. Thank you Doximity for your help During this difficult time.

Serves a bare purpose. Why is there no time stamp on outgoing faxes? Every fax has a date, time sent and the amount of pages delivered, which are crucial confirmation for documentation purposes. The platform reliability is mediocre at best, both through the app as well as website. I have used Doximity for years and it seems to have gotten worse, not better. Some days the service does not work at all and the faxes come in bulk a day or two later. There is no option to port the fax number out to another service, so we are stuck using it or changing our main fax number. The fax search option needs much work. I would only recommend this for occasional use, not reliable or efficient otherwise.

Keep your cell phone number hidden from patients. I previously used *67 when calling from my cell phone, but patients would often not answer calls from an anonymous caller. With Doximity Dialer, I can make it look like I am calling from the office or the hospital so they answer promptly. Doximity Dialer is EXTREMELY helpful for contacting patients from my mobile while keeping my personal number hidden.

You can’t use this as a dialer if someone else in your office does. Docility got back to me and absolutely DID NOT understand the problem- so disappointed-i am not upset about caller ID- I am upset that I cannot use my practice number because Doximity only allows one person to use each unique call out number and since one of my partners uses this already, I cannot use this app! because my practice’s phone number is already in use! *previous review* To clarify- I practice at a large hospital and we have a just a single outgoing number that shows for most outgoing calls. My patients recognize it and will pick it up even if they won’t answer any other incoming number. However obviously one of the many physicians in my practice already is using that number and the secondary numbers are all taken too so I can’t use this app. Very dissatisfied- I was so excited. I can’t believe I am the only physician with this problem. Docility- you need to let physicians from the same practice call out from the same number. (My patients would not recognize nor pick up calls from my direct desk line)

Great App, new update took away phone call log. Still enjoying it. Before the update it kept a log of your phone calls and the time spent, which was very useful for billing level for telephone consults. Now it shows up immediately after the call but if you don’t note it, I have not been able to find the place where it logs the calls like it use to.

Excellent. I like using my cell phone, through this app. Instead of my personal number showing up, my office number appears on my clients caller ID. I have had clients in the past, save my personal number from their caller ID, next thing you know they are using it as if they have been given the privilege to text/call any time. Professional boundaries are overlooked & difficult to uphold, in this current day and age, especially when medical providers are expected to make every one happy.

Outstanding app, except…. This app has been wonderful, especially in the days of virtual visits and staff interviews! I also appreciate the medical news, CME, and ability to contact other providers that way. Here is the only problem, consistent since I 1st used the dialer years ago: The screen is not very responsive to touch once the call has been made. When I call a patient, it takes multiple taps to switch it over to speaker, by which time my patient may have assumed it’s a robo-call. Even worse, when I am done with the call, it takes about 4 taps to hang up. Sometimes I think I have ended the call and then realize the patient is still on the line, which is a set up for the patient to hear something I didn’t want the patient to hear. I worry about inadvertently heading into the bathroom with a patient still on speaker! Please fix!

Needs a proper search function. The dialer feature is great, use it all the time on call and it has worked flawlessly. The only complaint I have is that you cannot search or sort articles in the app. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to sort articles by specialty, and to search specific titles or keywords. The search tab seems to be designated only to find colleagues — not to search within the collection of articles curated on the home page.

Excellent app!. I make so many calls to patients after hours. I don’t want them to have my personal number. Some would take advantage of it!! I used to have to have a second phone. It was expensive to have a second plan but if I bought minutes it seemed like I either never had enough or I bought too many and they expired. Some of my patients don’t answer if they don’t recognize the number so I’d end up having to call again from the office. It was so frustrating! This app lets me use my office number so patients are more likely to pick up, saving me time later, and they don’t get my private number! No more carrying a second phone, paying for minutes I don’t use! I tell all my doctor friends about this app!

Video Phone Connection. Although I appreciate the option I’ve been able to contact clients without revealing my cell number… I sure wish the video capabilities were a little better. About 15 to 20% of the time went on a video call, within 10 or 15 minutes we have to change over to telephone only because of poor connection. If that is only about my clients cell phone coverage, I can understand. That is why I’m giving a four instead of three.

First review ever. This is my first review in the App Store. I had to say something as this app really saved our business! Thank you for catering to healthcare providers especially nurse practitioners. I really appreciate all the features doximity has to offer and refer EVERY healthcare provider to this program. I appreciate that I can have a fax number and the ability to text patients to connect via video chat without installing any apps. It’s difficult to afford a paid app that has these features and doximity is destroying the competition with its capabilities! I am so grateful and please always keep these functions without a fee as I will constantly bring providers to benefit from your excellent program. God bless and thank you for this app from the bottom of my heart.

great!!!. This app is great it has allowed me to start my own practice and cut down on overhead costs. I can speak to patients from my phone and it shows up as the office number. I have a fax that free and all of the referrals come thru my fax line which allows my office manager to run things right from home and I can do things on the go. I only wish when i used it online i still had the same signing capability that the phone app allows.

Doximity is great. Been using it consistently for the past month and it has been working very well. It is straightforward, no need for email all you need is a smartphone, works by clicking on a link from a text message to connect by video chat with provider, process can take a few minutes during which time the provider can review patient chart or catch up with messages

Indispensable. This app is essential to modern clinical practice. It lets me control how I communicate with my patients any time of day. With patient portals, email, and my inboxes accessible on my phone 24/7, it’s become necessary to reach out to patients on the go, and with Doximity caller I can do just that. Keeping my private number private means my patients will be safely routed to the on-call physicians when I finally do carve out time for my family. It’s a great app every clinician needs.

Excellent app, what happened to iPad video?. This app has been an invaluable tool for contacting and evaluating patients. Thank you for the changes to make it easier for patients to do the video interface. Holding me back from 5 stars is that I previously could forward my video calls to my iPad from my iPhone, but with the latest upgrade this ability seems to have disappeared. As I do neurological exams on patients it was highly useful to see patients on the bigger screen. I hope this comes back with the next upgrade.

App. Doximity is by far the best app for doctors. You can review, reply, compose and even forward your faxes. No more waisted paper to shred and discard. You can use your smart phone to call anyone, and the phone call will show up as coming from your office phone number. It’s called a dialer. You can also have a HIPA-compliant video call using your smart phone to connect with any patient or with anyone with a US number and a smart phone. There’s not a single day, where I don’t use this app. You can follow your colleagues on a social-media-type format using a smart phone or a computer. BEST OF ALL, EVERYTHING IS FREE. Doximity IS THE BEST APP FOR DOCTORS period

I’m not happy.... I just downloaded the app. It took me to the Doximity dialer with an offer to try it through the Doximity app. It didn’t give the specification the using your own cell phone blocks other functions on the phone, for example. It gave me a number to dial and link. I decided to try it and changed my mind. There was no way to just cancel it. I’ve wasted over an hour and I’ve sent messages to Doximity. I’m waiting for an answer now.

Very very happy. I’m very please with the app: 1) I love that I can call the patient using my cell phone and they caller ID on the patient’s phone shows my office number (so they don’t have my cell number) 2) I love that I have my own personal fax number so that if I’m away from the office, I can ask the lab or radiology to fax me a report and I can read it on my phone. 3) I love that I can do a video chat during this COVID situation. Thanks, thanks, thanks for developing that feature so quickly. One minor suggestion/request. If you could please inactivate the link that they get in the text so that they don’t click on it 3 days later and I get a text saying that my patient wants to videoconference w/ me. 24 hours should be plenty. Thank you!

Not secure.. This forces clients to use a web browser. This app is only for services providers and forces patients to use the web. How this app was allowed on hipaa is beyond me. There are no phone number to call on their website. I refuse to use a web browser to speak to my doctor over video. I do not know what they are using for video. I am web software developer. I ran the link I was provided through basic security scans and found major vulnerabilities. I told my doctor no. I would not use this. I tried to call the company. No one to contact. Just some random website with a postal address. I am reporting this to both the state of Illinois and department of health.

Game changer. The Doximity app continues to evolve. I utilize their tools through the app and website on a daily basis to improve patient care and streamline workflow. As a physician in private practice the free fax is a game changing feature and with the Dialer and virtual calls I can monitor my patients and incoming results and correspondence from anywhere at any time. I can’t wait to see what new features are in the works. Thanks Doximity team!

Makes my job 10x easier!!. I am so grateful for this app as I try to continue providing psychotherapy amidst this pandemic. Being able to obscure my personal cell phone number is amazing and appear as if I’m calling from my office is amazing! The video call feature has worked seamlessly and my patients have found it extremely easy to use as well. I never expected to be a tele-therapist but now that I am I’m so glad I have Doximity as my preferred platform!

The app I begged for since 2018. This truly is a game-changer for me. I do more than half my work for one of my two jobs from my cell. My office manager always instructed people that I would be calling from a blocked number, and therefore to remove features preventing blocked calls from going through. It was still a problem on a regular basis because people didn't know how to do that, which led to much wasted time and delays. The video calling feature was just a little confusing because I didn't know what to expect, and I should have tested it first as I did with the audio. The instructions that pop up, particularly those saying it's ok to hang up, enabled me to get it working on the first try anyway.

Great medical App!. When I first signed up on this App I was amazed at the number of physicians on file. I was instantly updated with over half of my medical school class from 35 years ago. I have enjoyed giving my personal fax number to labs and other sources when I want immediate access to the data, like being on call on the weekend and I can then simply forward it to my office for filing. Saves me interrupting phone calls and scrambling to write down data. I am using it with my residents and faxing them information about patients we are co managing. This saves them multiple visits to my office to pick up printed records and reports. I appreciate the subscription service to journal abstracts, too. Bravo on this App.

Don't Stop Feeling Like A Doctor!. Similarly to what a colleague wrote, I'm no longer in practice. I now work for the State, which can entail being at up to 5 different locations in the course of a work week. "Retirement" from practice should not have to mean feeling that you've lost the "privileges" of being part of so noble a profession. And, let's face it, after nearly 35 years of getting the VIP treatment, it's hard to let go of that. Doximity's e-fax capability helps you maintain that status and professional independence. It's nice to have your office ("private practice") in your pocket. Recently I had to see three specialists and it involved a lot of imaging and labwork. To have virtually immediate access upon request or getting CC'd to your private, secure and virtual "office" is truly a luxury. While e-faxing has existed for years, using it in the Doximity context / community also helps keep me linked professionally. With regard to the quality of the articles and subject matter, I can definitely use an easy read from time to time. Grateful for the excellent job you're doing!

Phone calling is good. I dislike being updated with several dozen people that may have been associated with me through medical school association or previous appointment association. I don’t know all of them and most of them are so far away- sometimes on the other coast. I dislike the notifications. Had to make sure they are off. I don’t want to know about these unrelated CME opportunities. I don’t want want to know about these related CME opportunities. I like the phone call masking my number for the Office number. That is worth all the cumbersome unused other features.

The best app for a healthcare professionals.. What can I say? Are you. All the time and found it to be useful in communicating with my patient, my colleagues and I have a team family from it as well. Ihad difficulties, I’ve been able to communicate with the staff who have helped me. When the pandemic happened they upped their game and made their app even more useful. I kind of view it as a Facebook for medical professionals.

Some great things, app needs a proper search function. Overall I love Doximity and the content. However the app’s search function seems extremely poor. When I try and search for residency rankings, it doesn’t give me any applicable results, rather it gives a list of doctors and practices whose names and specialties match what I searched. When I google search it gives me the correct results - then when it guides me to open the app for the full list, it brings me to the App Store, and when I click on the “open” button it brings me to the home page of the app. This is disappointing.

Ridiculous. Nurses do an enormous amount of calls to patients for MD’s, PA’s, NP’s (who are busy actually caring for sick people). But no access to dialer for nurses. Why don’t you allow providers to at least “co-sign” for us, like MD’s do for NP’s and PA’s when orderings medications? What a failure during these covid - times, and trying to work from home. So disappointing, and frankly, insulting. Rita G, RN, BSN, CPAN, NCMP Northwestern Medicine Chicago, IL *I would like to I would like to edit my review.* The Doximity team quickly responded to my complaints. The next morning I received an email notification - Doximity dialer now accepts nurses, social worker’s “and all licensed professionals”. It took less than 5 minutes to re download the app, and add the MD/medical director as my “supervisor”. I was able to call patients (and they actually answered) within 10 minutes! Personal cell calls now show as clinic calls. Working as a nurse from home was never, ever expected. Thanks you for your swift adjustments! Rita G.

Janice Tran. Wonderful app which has been a lifesaver for me when I have to call patients using my personal cell phone (especially during the weekends or after hours when I have already left clinic). With this app, the number that appears when I call patients is my office/clinic number, rather than my personal cell phone number. Prior to this, if I had to use my personal cell to call a patient, I would have to “call block” my number using *67 and patients would never answer or I would have to call directly. Often, some of those patients who I would call directly, not using the call block option, would save my number and later call me directly and/or text me. Also, I was able to fax an order to another physician’s office using this app on my cell! Wow!! Who would have thought we would ever be able to do this? To The individuals that developed this application, you have made a significant difference in how we can now communicate with patients and other providers!! You all are absolutely brilliant!! Thank you so much!!

Clinical Psychologist. I’ve tried various apps to connect visually with my older adult patients, many whom don’t have WiFi or desktops or email. However, the majority have smart phones, and they are familiar with receiving texts. Patients click the link the answer just two simple questions by selecting yes or no. Then we are connected. Great product for technically challenged patients. Plus it’s secure and HIPAA compliant. Thanks Doximity for making my life as a provider easier during this pandemic. If only you could do something to upgrade cellular service for my rural patients!

Best option for physicians and patients. I love ability to connect to my patients via HiPpa compliant Doxymity! It has easy, reliable interface and connection. I am using their faxing option on the run as well. They always respond to feedback and provide updates that are practical and serve physicians and patients. Doximity is good example of app that does not require patient and doctor’s training before it can be used!

It disguises your number.... So it disguises your number, as promised. However, I’ve had patients say their phones say I’m calling from the hardware store, the Virgin Islands (a common location for scammers), and numbers other than the one I’ve entered. This has happened numerous times, so I don’t think it was just a fluke. Other times, patients have said their phone just doesn’t ring during our scheduled appointment. These are patients who faithfully attended appointment in clinic, so I tend to believe them. I guess I shouldn’t expect too much from a free app.

Doximity works better than others with cell. I’ve been using other software to do telemedicine and once I tried Doximity it became clear that this software works much better than the others I’ve tried. Very little if no lag, easy for older less computer tech folks to navigate and connect. I use it every day at least 25 times with little to no problems. It is dependable, easy, and the patients love it as I do.

Does not consider veterinarians as health professionals. PSA veterinarians are health professionals. We are doctors. We go through same exact medical school and residency training programs as MD/DO doctors. We help protect against disease outbreak (including but not limited to SARS-CoV-2, brucellosis, tuberculosis, the bubonic plague, etc…) we have patients who can’t tell us what’s wrong. We have to rely on the pets owners to tell us what has been “off” with their furry family member. We ARE health care professionals and we were even called on to administer COVID vaccines when staffing was short. So please tell me why Doximity cannot verify DVM (doctor of veterinary medicine) accounts? The response from them was “not likely to verify” veterinarians within the next year. I’m totally stunned this is even an issue.

I am so frustrated. Contacted support, no help at all. I sent them a screen shot so they can see I don’t have an option. It won’t save numbers I put in either. I tap to start a new fax. I put in a phone number. Then I am on a screen with the choice to add another recipient or cancel. I can’t click anywhere to scan the document or do anything else???????? It’s too the point that the frustration of wasting my time on this makes it not just worthless but into the negative category. I have to find a solution that works and this isn’t it. I think in desperation I wasted 45 minutes today using this program.

Used to love this app. I used to love this app! The dialer is still great. Recently an update separated inbox from outbox which was great. Unfortunately it also stopped allowing me to share PDF from other apps. Writing Rx in a PDF editor then sharing directly to fax through doximity was use but now I have to save the PDF, go into oximity to fax section, find file, then fax. Many extra steps which make it usually not worth it and instead I just share to my secured email and my office faxes them. That work around saves me time but not them!!

Love it, helps a lot with covid and tele visits. Really wonderful app, helps a lot with tele medicine and video calling. Wish the video interface was just a little easier for patient however. The text link often makes it difficult for some patients to connect.

iOS app is terrible. (1) This app crashes A LOT on my iPad Air 2. The constant crashes when clicking on messages make it almost unusable now. (2) Doximity is chalk full of censorship and self appointed thought police – yes, Paul M (psychiatry), I am looking at you. (3) It still has limited utility for sending Faxes and bringing articles to my attention, especially on the medicolegal front – for instance the recent SCOTUS decision not to criminally prosecute doctors for narcotics prescribing. Thank you Doximity for linking those articles to me. (4) Two stars awarded for being a click-bait, low value social media platform with terrible iOS software. The only thing that keeps Doximity from being 1-star are the positives described in #3 above. Otherwise, it’s a complete waste of my time and I mostly ignore it.

Very useful app that I use nearly every day. There is the networking, and the articles, etc, but, far and away the most useful feature is one that allows me to make calls to patients on my cellphone that look like they are from my office. It allows me to call patients from home without sharing my number. So useful!

Great for calling patients. Love this app for the ability to call my patients “from” our clinic phone number so that they have the number readily available if they need to call back with questions. I’ve only ever used the free version for calls <10 minutes long or so, so can’t speak to any paid version.

Works well. Very useful. Patients know the call is from my clinic with this app. Most patients have screening on their phones that block unidentifiable callers. This way I am identified in a way that does not surrender my feel phone number but encourages the patient to take the call because they know it is the doctor calling.

Dialed update. I’m a PA working at a covid tent. I use the Doximity dialer to mask my personal cellphone number when I call patients back with their results. I overall like your app but the new ring tone to the dialer when I’m calling a patient is annoying, can’t I just hear a normal ringing tone so I know the call is going through?? My other pet peeve is asking me to rate my call quality, after. every. single. call....get real, that’s obnoxious. Please change these functions.

Pls put back the call history. Need the call start and end time for billing, had to check the phone call log every time, then end up mistakenly calling patient directly using my cell instead of through Doximity, very inconvenient. Please consider putting the call log function back to the dialer, thanks

Garbage video platform. There is nothing redeeming about the video platform here. Connecting to patients (hoping they get or answer the text) is the first roadblock. Getting a connection after using the call nudge feature is next to impossible. If you do manage to connect the video quality is generally grainy and audio cuts in and out. It does not work nearly as well as FaceTime and the quality of connecting is worse than Google Meets. It seems to be on par with Zoom. And, yes, my iPhone is up to date. It has to be for dual encryption apps to work on my phone. This is a lousy clinical tool that does not work nearly as well as FaceTime.

A savior. Doximity has been a savior on many levels. It gives me the ability to call patients without giving out my personal cell phone number. With telephone-medicine, the video capability will be paramount. Plus, there are excellent articles and a way to connect with friends from throughout the years. I appreciate all it does.

Great!!. I use this app so that patients know who is calling, rather than an unknown number or random cell number. On occasion, I have had the problem that the number is no longer configured correctly. When that happens, simply close the app in your phone, and then click on the doximity dialer icon to open a new window. That solves the problem.

Pediatrician. I have enjoyed using Doximity for the past one week My favorite part is not using *67. With Doximity the office phone number is what the patient sees and they actually pick up the phone I don’t have to call 3 times or get a response where the patient is upset about a blocked number or there is an APP that can undo *67 and the patient will call you back on your phone Many problems solved

Video Problems. This app is great for phone calls but the video service needs improvement. My patients receive a text from an unknown number and don’t open it out of fear (spam, malware etc.). This would be better if the display on the text was from the same number I set to display for telephone.

Poor Customer Service. Doximitry does not have an email or phone number. I have searched with no results for an email address or phone number. Several times the app removes my demographics, so I have to enter it again in order to use the Dialer Service. The fax number that I was informed would be mine, was suddenly removed. I don’t have access to my saved fax documents. When I enter my demographics again, Doximitry assigns a new fax number. This is a review but also a request for someone from Doximitry to please contact me. Thanks, Dr Dean Taylor Reid

Lack of customer support. I have been trying for days to get verified in order to use the dialer. The verification email will not go to my primary email address so I added a secondary address. I clicked the link and it said I was verified but I still can’t make calls. I’ve been trying to join a care team to see if that fixes the problem but none of the links work. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled my app. I’ve reached out to customer support but I haven’t had any communication whatsoever. Very frustrating and not user friendly at all.

Hearing. This is been A great advantage using this app especially during the COVID-19 emergency. I was using an app which scrambled my phone number but clients weren’t answering. Now they see the office number and they do. The only problem I have had is I have to speak very loud into the phone sometimes for the clients to understand so there must be some distortion.

Awesome. The dialer is an amazing feature and the newly added video call is a phenomenal addition to my practice that I’ve been using numerous times daily to see patients during the covid19 pandemic. One piece of feedback: I would recommend make the link to the video chat expire after a certain amount of time as patients can use the same link to restart a chat at any time Keep up the great work!

Extremely useful app – use it 20 times a day. This app is invaluable. Allows free and easy telemedicine, even the ability to connect to people that are not very tech savvy. The dialer feature also allows me to send messages straight to voicemail so I do not have to wake people up early in the morning. Functions flawlessly

Chaplain. Because of the Pandemic it has required using various means to maintain contact with patients; and out patients in particular. Too many Robocalls out there with no identifying mechanism unless the caller is in the recipient’s directory or I am calling from the office. So, this allows me to “call” from my office when I am working from home or out of the office; yet the office line appears and the recipient knows it is from a source they know not a Robo sales call. GREAT TOOL!

Diversity of Doximity.. Staying connected and at times anonymous are important for both the healthcare providers as well as our patients. Utilizing the phone app during this pandemic that doesn’t give my personal phone number away is a fantastic option

Poor quality after recent update. This app saved my medical practice during covid. Worked perfectly. After this recent update unusable. The call quality is so poor. I rate the call quality a 1 after every call. Wont pay for something that doesn’t work.

What a work saver necessity. I use this app to call my patients when I am not in my office or even when I am in office. This way patients know it is my office calling and answer the call. Also they do not get my personal number and call backs get documented by my front desk staff. What a work saver !!!

Helps but the lag is annoying at times. I use the Dialer function to answer pages and the lag that exist with what appears to be a non HD call can be very distracting. It’s worse at certain times of the day. I also wish there was a function that gave a number for people to call you back on. Should be simple with the fact that the IPhone Max and many apps are able to do that now.

Lacking phone number pasting function. One of the major features of Doximity is the Dialer. The old dialer app was way more convenient as it lets me to copy a phone number from a text message, then paste it onto the dialer. Now the new app is lacking this function. So when I receive a text from my answering service, I now have to either write down or memorize the number, then enter it manually to dial it. The developer needs to fix this. I will stop using it until then.

Able2 CallShield from Text. On iOS, if you have the Doximity app running in the background, then you can directly call from your cell phone by tapping on a texted number, but it will show the number of your office to your patient. this is a real time saver when you’re paged

Works pretty well but..... The app works well using cell phone to cell phone voice and video calls. What would be useful is a way for me to “call” into a patient’s tablet or iPad say via email link. This would allow contacting patients who have access to WiFi or data plan and a tablet but not a cell phone or smartphone. This is coming up more frequently in our trying to provide remote services during the Covid era.

Fantastic service. Doximity has been a great help to me in my Pre-retirement years. I have been able to make a smooth transition while maintaining fax contact with all of my payors and what a convenience to get all of my laboratory and imaging reports directly to my cell phone. It allows me to continue to work without the expense of maintaining an office.

Increasingly unable to complete calls. I have used this for years and love however perhaps due to higher volume I am having only about 1/10 calls go through. Busy signals, dropped calls, unable to complete call at this time messages! Super frustrating Help!

Thank you. I really like and enjoy working with the Doximity platform for video and regular phone calls. It is easy to use for both patients and physicians! The quality of sound and video is overall good and mostly dependent on the WIFI band width/speed in the patients’ homes. Great job by Doximity to offer this service! Thank you very much!

App still needs to fix a major bug. I hate when I get a email summary of content, click a link to go directly to the article, then it takes me to an option to view on app which I click but the app opens to its homepage, not the article I clicked on the email. Then I have to search for the article. Because of that problem alone, I just browse the email and rarely go read the actual article. Fix this!

Dialer function is awesome. The dialer function is awesome since our personal number comes through as our clinic number etc (and you can have more than one “caller ID” for those who have multiple sites to cover). No more need for *67, and that also means more patients picking up call first time (vs “unknown number”). During this COVID crisis, Doximity also allowing our clinic staff (non-MD or APP) to use it. Thanks so much Doximity!!

Great service. It works well 90% of the time. Recent glitch includes busy signals requiring back to back calls. This began on day 3 of use and occurs approximately every 3 Rd call. Love the straight to voice mail feature. Overall a great tool to have when working from home

An app I use often- Facebook for physicians. Is an app I use regularly has allowed me to keep better contact with my colleagues and former medical school friends. The ability to receive faxes and communicate with others and comply with HIPAA has been very useful. The one thing I would like to see added is the ability to read articles holding my phone in the horizontal mode. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with this app.

Works Great!. The Covid -19 precautions prompted me to work at home. I was having problems because some of my clients blocked all *69 calls, Doximity solved that problem. It also has a feature where I can get directly connected to someone’s voicemail which I like. I would highly recommend Doximity!

App works well if you are an individual provider or physician. I have been using this app to call patients outside the office. With the recent need for telemedicine with the onset of the covid-19 epidemic my team needed access to calling from their cell phones. My practice is run by APNs with physician backup. Because an APN is the team leader, I could not invite my staff to be a part of my team. It took 6 days for my support email to be answered and by that time I had figured out the issue and thus found another app to use for my team. Very disappoointed.

Gotta love the Doximity Dialer. This one feature makes this a 5 Star app! For MDs who have to call patients back, this app allows me to keep my cell phone number private without using the *67 feature (which some people have blocked from calling their phones). All the other stuff with Doximity is great as Medical social media platform.

Dialer alone is incredible. I use this app solely for the dialer, which is incredible for remote patient calls, video conference or secure text. I can “call” patients from the hospital, my office, or either of my two clinics all from my cell phone instead of calling with caller ID disabled. Highly, highly recommend.

Excellent tools for Doctors. This is one of the most valuable applications for busy physicians. Always you get important update on topics pertinent to practice. Excellent and easy communication with your staff through e-fax. Valuable tool to call my parents from my mobile phone with still displaying my office number as caller ID.

Not for all. The idea behind this app is great, but the execution if far from perfect. This kind of third party calling app is nothing new, but I decided to check it out because my team was looking for something to use in the office. The app has restrictions, which limits how productive a team can be when not everyone can use the full purpose of the app. They limit most functions on the app for only certain healthcare professionals, and are not looking into expanding their client base to all healthcare professionals any time soon. I cannot comfortably promote an app which is not inclusive. There are far more options out there, and this one is not worth waiting on for my team.

Love this physical app. Not only a great way to stay in contact with colleagues and have relevant news, articles and op-eds delivered to my in box. It’s also a wonderful source of relevant, quick and periodic CME, and also a built in fax and dialer for calling patients remotely though the office number. Feels like Doximity considers doctors’ busy lifestyle and what we need to do a better job helping patients.

Awesome dialer!. Excellent when you are on call. If you block your cell number, patient won’t pick up (even though you are calling right back after they have contacted the service). With this app, the name of my practice with the number of the practice is what the patient sees on their phone. This allows me to leave ‘show my caller ID’ on, so that my personal calls are answered.

Unable to verify CS no response. Wife does medical billing and coding and I found this app for her to easily contact patients, insurance companies and have easier access to Hippa complaint fax service. Unfortunately she works for a private practice for three doctors and is unable to Verify via email since its not recognized as an official email and she doesn’t have a medical/professional license but has 20+ years of on the job experience. Its strange there is no other way to verify especially since they have the option for medical billing and coding under job options.

Clinician. I am a clinician who works in the medical setting, multiple locations, at times I am also remote. This app was recommended to me by a colleague, nurse practitioner, specifically for the dialer feature. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize until after I downloaded the app that the dialer is not available to anyone other than physicians. This would have been an incredible tool to have as I am making phone calls to patients and families all day, everyday and often need to call from my cell phone. I hope they offer the dialer to other providers/clinicians with NPI’s soon.

Dialer is useful. Great concept, useful for providers to not divulge their personal phone number, able to make the call from the “clinic” phone number so patients are not spooked by out of state call. I wish the latency of the calls could be improved, the slight delay between when someone says something and the other person’s response can be a little awkward and cumbersome to work around.

Beyond Quarantine. We subscribed to this service to increase patient safety during the current pandemic and allowing us to do some work from home. When we go back to our normal routine I will continue to use the service as there is really no time to answer patient phone calls during clinic hours and Doximity will allow me to answer my patient phone calls from home.

Excellent resource in a virtual world. Doximity has been an excellent tool for telemedicine and working virtually while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Allows e-faxing, calling patients from the cell phone while presenting the office number as caller ID in addition to easy telemedicine platform. One thing I wish it had was picture-in-picture or floating window capability for telemedicine. Hopefully that is coming in an update.

Please get rid of close button. It is really annoying to have to manually push close after every single phone call, I should have direct access to the dialer, you should not make me push extra buttons, your app should be making my life easier not harder

Pretty good but unpredictable. It works as advertised BUT: 1) often (not always) there is enough lag time I ask to call directly from my phone (I'm not trying to "hide", just trying to get patients to answer a call from an unknown number and 2) lately I've gotten a number of messages not going through because the "number is no longer configured to support the intended call location" or something like that. Very frustrating and I have just emailed customer service.

Facebook/LinkedIn For Doctors. Doximity itself is fantastic. A virtual community for doctors. A great way to keep in touch. Two things primarily keep me from giving it 4 or 5 stars: 1) while the iphone app is great the version for the ipad is just an enlarged version of the iPhone app. It doesn’t even support landscape view! Which makes it a pain for those who use their iPads more like a laptop. 2) the jobs feature is great but needs to be expanded and include more postings and more granular information on salaries to be truly useful. It is a great start though!

For a pharma funded thing….. It works, and unlike the JAMA and all the associated journals, this service seems to keep integrity, and let’s you know if it’s an ad or legit research. AMA has no idea what that would look like. The dialer is a huge help to the clinician. It’s amazing, it works, and worth the 100$ a month — oh wait, it’s still free!
