Cool, but could be better. I love this app, but it’s fairly limited in what it can do. I would expect more from an app you have to pay for. More filters, custom colors, more abstractions, etc. That being said, it’s great and I’ve been using it frequently since I bought it.

This app is great. This latest update has it all! I've had this app for well over a year now and it still keeps me entertained with it's versatility and intuitive navigation. Still one of my favorites. I apply this experimentally to many of my existing pictures and get delightful results. The new update is great. New cartoon effects are a nice bonus. I've used this at parties and it's always a hit. Solid!

Really really cool. I'm not normally impressed, but this app is amazing. Not all pics look good with certain filters but if you play around with the settings you can make some truly awesome art. I would pay allot of money to have an artist do some pictures like this and now I don't have to.

Nice, simple, and intuitive.. Easy to use with decent features. Maybe not the most robust photo editor, but it does the job well in many situations while remaining very easy to use.

Fun but wishing for more. I like the app and it’s fun but it doesn’t record the images as video, just as pics. Update: Wow!!! A developer messaged me and totally addressed my question. I’ve never had that happen. Super cool! Changed my rating and thank you so much!

Easy and fun. The images are cool looking but there’s a lot of room for improvement too. It could provide more detail and better image clarity. It’s fun and I like it.

Best cartoon app in the App Store. This is hands down the best cartoon app. It is so far above any other program that it's incredible. It does everything well and the ease of use is like a dream come true. I use it to take photos using the pencil and then use those photos on t-shirts.

Too glitchy.. The first time I used the app there was no sound on the video. I force quit the app and reopened it and magically there was video. Yet the next time there wasn’t. I took a video of my infant daughter and no sound. That moment has now come and gone. I shouldn’t have to continually force quit the app to get sound. This is ridiculous. UPDATE in response to the developer’s response... I deleted and reinstalled. Same issue.

Pretty cool!. Honestly I don’t buy a lot of apps. But sometimes I’ll find something that seems interesting and take a chance. So I took a chance on this app and so far I really like it. It’s very simple gives you a small selection to choose from when it comes to styles. But it’s pretty cool to see everything you take photos of or video in toon mode. My kids like it as well so for the price honestly it’s worth it. :)

Great and fun app. I got this years ago when it first came out. Intuitively easy to use. I’m not a professional artist or photographer so I can’t comment on the Apps technical quality, but it produces more than satisfactory images for my needs. Can’t find anything to be critical about the app.

Fun and innovative. this app has a lot of versatility and is a very creative experience helping people to think out of the box and create in cartoon some new ideas.

No longer records sound. I love this app. However, in the last couple of weeks a couple of issues have arisen. It will no longer record sound and it is having a difficult time sharing to Photos on my iPad.

ToonCamera. Absolutely love this app! I use it all the time. Most often I use it on pictures I’ve already taken but right from its camera is great too. Most often app I use!!

My favorite photo altering app. There’s no app I use more often to give my photos an artistic look. “Toon camera” isn’t descriptive enough for the flexibility and options this app offers.

I’ve used this app since it came out.. It’s terrific and only boring if what you’re using it on is. I don't just use it for Toons. It has a way of bringing collages together that is terrific. I really only use the color filters so it would be nice to have more of those! (I have used the line drawing to turn my art into coloring pages for my nieces). Sometimes I use it only on sections or a layer!

Great app!. Adds a new area of creativity to explore. I like to use some of the brushes/ pens as layers in photoshop for more control on the results. Fun to use!

Top 10 Photo App. Hi, Folks When will you make use of the iPhone 11 Pro lenses or is it possible? Your app support links to you site, but there is no link. This is so common among developers and a majority of app support links lead nowhere. That’s not to say that I own all of your apps since day one and I love everyone of them. Toon camera is unique and plenty of creative potential.

Latest update glitch. I use this app all the time, but with the last update it's crashing every time I try to save a third image to my camera roll.

Crashed my photos and erased my photo library. I tried to edit a photo in my album then save the resulting file, which crashed my entire library and wiped clean my photo album on my phone. I had to restore everything from iCloud and was lucky I got most of the photos back, but did not get my album organization back at all so that photos I previously sorted into albums were never recovered. I had to pay for this as well since the app costs 99 cents; so at minimum I need my money back from the publisher. Just a warning to everyone that it could crash your software and photos can be erased.

Lots of fun to make cool images of new grandkids. I wish they had a mode that allowed me to make a simple coloring book page from an image without any infill. Just take a simple image and have ability to enhance outline of mail subject and print pages for kids to color. Would be 5 stars if this feature was included. But fun app for sure. Great deal. Also, did not see and tutorial or help tabs? Any chance of a developer response? Thanks!

Fun effects!. This app is great if you're looking to add a cool element to your photos. Easy to use and even allows real time photo editing! Highly recommend.

So Much FUN!. I Love this app! Took a few minutes to figure out how to apply it to photos in my album, so new users, plz expect a little learning curve. I read that the IT staff r very helpful, but some trial and error practice resulted in the creation of a very cool rendition using a photo from my own album (w/o their assistance)! Hints...Make ample use of the info icon in the upper right corner and when in doubt “double click”! I anticipate playing with this new app for awhile today. Feels like Christmas as a kid when you find the one toy that finally works the way it was demonstrated on TV! Lisa B.

I’m too old for this !. Despite the fact that I’m 61 years old , I’m in joying the hell out of this app ! I Toon almost every picture I take to the point my kids are getting very annoyed at me ! Who cares right ! That’s what I’m living for ! Anyhow keep up the good work ! Maybe in the future you can add a self timer, it would be fun to get in some pictures myself !

Incredible! - BUT needs to support GIFs. I tried to convert a GIF into a cartoon, but it turned into a still image. Since this app supports transforming video into cartoon, I figure it would be even more powerful to do the same with GIF files.

Endless possibilities!. I live to be able to try out a sequence in video and see it in animation almost instantly. I started in animation 40 years ago and never believed I'd be able to have the whole studio operating from my phone one day!

Toon Camera is awesome!. With the new comic filter on iOS 12, some of my friends don’t have comic filter because their phones and iPads don’t support it. I’ve been using Toon Camera for a long time and it is great. It has lots of ways to adjust the filters, and there are a lot of them. It’s just as good as the comic filter that is built into iMessage on iOS 12- so I recommend it to anyone who can’t get those filters. This is a solid app. It allows you to save the photos in high or regular resolution to your camera roll. Highly recommend Toon Camera! You can even make videos using it with the filters, and you can use photos that you’ve already taken and make adjustments in the app! How cool is that? Very cool!

A little too simplified. You control the type of filter you apply by tapping through a selection of various pen and paintbrush icons, but they don’t describe what you’ll get. You just have to try them all through trial and error. Within the filter, you can change the degree of filtering by tapping a “line” icon. It cycles through a range of changes but gives you no indication of when you have looped back to the beginning of the selection. You just keep tapping until you recognize a pattern or find a look you like. A slider bar or some kind of progress marker would be nice. For the price of a soda, you get a fun little app to turn your photos into cartoons.

My book comes to life!. I love ToonCamera it is amazing technology for Authors wishing to do their own illustrations. It has enabled me to do drawings that I never thought possible. I highly recommend it!📷

Great App For Quick Designs. Awesome app for certain effects to make your pictures just have that little extra kick to make it really pop. Tons of options. Best cartoon animation in the apps on the App Store. By far. And it’s free! A+++++

Bogus. This doesn’t turn anything into cartoons. They are mediocre filters that you can get on pretty much every free editing app. There is no filter on here that truly turns you into a cartoon or anything close to. The video filters are horrible and the choices are extremely limited. It is a complete waste of money

Mediocre app. Yes the app will stylize a photo into a cartoon however, the quality and range of options is limited and mediocre at best. Extremely limited options and the options present produce basic limited results.

Buyers be aware! Scammers!!!. I was offered a free 3 day trial to use this app. After 5 minutes I knew it was not for me and canceled it immediately. They still billed my credit card a few days later. Be aware and pay attention to this company's billing. They will shamelessly try to make you pay for a subscription you have not requested and even if you cancel immediately their free trial they will pretend that didn't happen and charge your credit card anyway.

Sweeeeat (Cartman’s voice). This app is radical. If I were single, between my “fantaaaastic, (Nacho Libre voice) dance skills and the editing I can do on this app, I would need a human sized fly swatter to keep, “The Ladies” (Lady’s Man voice) off of me. My point is, I like it. A LOT!

Fun App. This is an easy to use app with lots of fun. When I first downloaded it, I thought I might use it about once a year. But now I use it all the time. I love the various cartoon drawing styles it can create from photos. And best of all: it also can convert film clips. Love it!

Almost gave up but I didn’t and I enjoy it.. I had purchased the app on my iPhone XR and everything worked except pulling up a photo from my album and I was frustrated but it was only $1.99. I reached out to tech support and after several things to try, they finally solved the problem. And being in IT I understand it takes patience and a lot of people don’t have it when it comes to electronics. But you know what you are the people that need to be thankful for people willing to put up with your crap and appreciate those that try and help. So thank you so much Mike and the tech support team for your help. I love the app and look forward to other features to be added in the future. It amazes me how people complain about the app but you give them something with so much stuff then they are complaining then. Keep up the good work and no I have no affiliation with your company so this is from a true happy customer.

Prompt support. Very pleased with the prompt support for the problem with saving of photos. Problem is still there but they are very involved in fixing and it seems the fault is being isolated. My faith in the app now lifted.

Surprisingly great!. Was really impressed with this app. Spent about 2 hours playing with my existing gallery as soon as I downloaded it. Seems to do everything it promises. I've already had my $1s worth and I haven't even gotten to taking new pics or videos yet!

This version doesn't do video and save only small images. I hope the ability to record video with this app is coming soon - it the reason why I purchased the app as I saw the video clip on the website that it will do video, (should have read everything on iTunes before I purchase it)! Also with this version the photo saved in the Album is a TINY 480x320 (a little useless to me). I hope the new improve version is out soon. I would give it a 5 start if it will do video and save full size images.

Fantastic comic effects app. I love this app! I have a few photo-effects app, and a measure of how good an app really is, is if you return to it time and again after the initial play, and how useful it really is. The comic effects are excellent and is great for the occasional pop-art effect on Instagram or similar. Well worth it!

one of the best apps for interesting photo making. i love this app, for creating interesting photos. only thing i wish you could do it simultaneous unfiltered original photo AND the pic with effects so that i dont have to switch between native camera to take a natural photo as well as the cool toon camera one. otherwise super awesome app and i have framed photos in my house From using this app; superb!

Where is version two ??. Video is choppy - and needs more styles - only has three real styles with a option of line thickness x3 each making nine styles. I wouldn't advertise that as nine different styles. It's three with line options ... Love the colored look - rest are so so. Looking forward to the next updates! Well done guys!

A LONG time user.. I have been creating ‘paintings’ for my friends and family for years using this app. I usually use the in camera editing controls to bump up the exposure and saturation, then use this ToonCamera’s coloured pastel effect to create a ‘Van Gogh’ look. Sometimes I do several ‘layers’ of effect to really enhance the look. Over the years I have had hours of fun creating!

creative any image. I thought it was a gimmicky app until you just use it to transform images. Just the filter to remove wrinkles is worth it to buy this app. Simple and effective.

Simply wonderful!. Great fun and outstanding effects with no hassle. One of if not my favourite apps!

Usable but poor. I can understand the reason of reduced frame size (1384 x 1038) and frame rate (15 fps). It can be improved with editing software. But why the only option is 4:3 instead of common today 16:9? Another issue is that textures are related to frame borders but not to image itself — to reach the perfect results iPad must be fixed on tripod or any stand.

Just started with this app, so will review again.. As I use this app more I will review again, more stars or less, but far liking it.

Surprised and fun. I have all sorts of work this comes in handy for. Instant organic conversion of any product photo. There are varying degrees of effect available and I still feel I have artistic control of the project.

way way cool. if your an artist, this is a very neat little app to play with and despite what others are saying, you can load pictures from your camera roll buy clicking three times on the circular arrow until you get to an icon that looks like a photo album. Try it ... definitely worth it!

Warning, Do not download!. App slowed my phone to a crawl to the point that it was unusable. Could not make voice calls. iPhone application battery usage will not display. Uninstalled app and phone works perfect again.

Not creative. When o got this I got the reviews and descriptions led me to new life I could be creative with the photos but instead I am stuck using templates rather than being able to independently do creative things with my photos. Very disappointed.

Waste of money - many better free apps. Just a total waste of your money. Download any one of the free cartoon app’s available and you can get a better product. Turns normal pictures into blurry pics that are vaguely cartoon-like. Totally useless..
