Won't load. I'd consider buying a subscription since I love the print magazine, but I'd like to experience the ipad version before committing. The free sample issues will not load (despite the fact that is says it's loading).

Doesn't work. Love the magazine but now it never opens up. I get to the first screen, blue which says 'Islands' then after about 15 seconds it just closes down and goes back to my library! So aggravating!

Won't work. I subscribed and the issue will not open I want my money back!!!!!

Enjoy preview magazine because that's all you'll get.. Downloaded preview loved it, so I ordered subscription. I can't get new issues to load. And every time I try to look at my first magazine I get a blue screen. So just enjoy your first magazine till they get the bugs worked out. To bad it's my first digital subscription and now I don't know if I ever want to try another. Complete and total waste of money. To bad the magazine looks great if only you could view it!

Would maybe consider buying. But still will not open...

Ios8 broke my magazines. It's been two weeks since ios8 came out and I can read or download new magazines. Today I canceled ALL of my subscriptions. Very disappointed...

Needs attention will not open.. This will not open on my 6 plus. It does however open on a iPad Air 2. So this is not an IOS 8 issue. Also, it would or should work in landscape view. As long as you keep it like that, the paper version is better. Would be nice to see two pages together.

Problematic. Ever since I subscribed to this magazine it has been a pain to open and read. It either opens then crushes or won't open at all, just goes blank for a couple of seconds then reverts to newsstand box. I definately will not renew-shame it is a good magazine but what's the point if you can't read what you buy!

Frozen when online. Recently, will need to open and close the app a few times before it actually starts, then it crashes after 1 min, problematic since I subscribed to it more than a year ago, like the magazine, but poor app, I hope it can be as stable as those for T&L, F&W, or New Yorker, please fix the bugs. Otherwise I may not continue my subscription.

performance issues. The AP update to resolve the locked screen only worked the 1st time I loaded after downloading fix, pls apply more fixes or refund my $$$!

ios8 doesn't work. Since the ios8 update none of my magazines will update. All I get is an error that says "close the app and redownload your purchases." Very disappointing since I'm planning my trip to the Bahamas.

Frozen on download. Tried one free download... Worked great. Tried others and i am stuff in limbo. Deleted and reinstalled. No change. Doesn't bode well for spending money. Shame. It's a great mag in hard copy. Deleting the app permanently now.

Not sure why so many 2 stars. I personaly have had only good experiences with this magazine, it always starts up and doesn't crash. "Islands Magazine" so far has had good informative articles on many destinations and the accompanying pics look so vibrant and beautiful on my 3rd gen iPad that I just want to pack up my bags and travel to those destinations every time I open up this magazine.

Great Application. This is a great application reader for Islands magazine. The issues available to download are the same that you will find on the magazine rack so you will be able to download the editions that you are interested in. The reader is free. Each edition costs $2.99. I'm looking forward to seeing more magazines come available to the iPad.

Will Not Open with iOS 8.1 Upgrade. This app no longer works with the iOS 8.1 upgrade (on the iPhone 6 Plus.) 'Just opens to a blank white screen. Please fix the app or refund my paid-for subscription a.s.a.p.

Another IOS 8 Failure!. "Groundhog Day" wasn't just a movie!....Same issue over and over and over and over again....Clean up in aisle IOS 8 please!

Still down - Oct 4. This was a great app. It is still useless under iOS8 as of Oct. 4. Funny, they still collected my money for October. Need to get it in gear or start issuing refunds.

Needs work. Two downloads won't install after downloading, the Premiere issue won't load and neither will the Hawaii pictures. Also the downloads take forever! Should have an option of doing this at a computer and syncing vs waiting for a 10 min download.

Greedy. Print subscribers are not given access to the iPad version.

Very Nice. I had the same experience. I bought the annual subscription but the issues were still listed at $3.99. I sent an inquiry into their support group and they took care of it right away. Now, I can download with no problem and the iPad issue is beautiful.

Good content and layout, needs a little tweaking. Very good layout and content. Needs a little work on functionality. Biggest need - for app to remember your place when you close it. Need to open back up to where the user left off.

Doesn't work on ios8 yet. The review title is the story. I can't download my subscription issues. And the my account link doesn't do anything but display FAQs, which refer to functionality that doesn't even appear. If they don't fix it soon, I'll be looking for my money back.

Won't open. I love this magazine so much! I receive it in the mail too, but having it on an iPad to read is so much easier to bring around. It's a shame that it doesn't even load on my iPad. I hope this will be fixed soon.

Don't bother. I just downloaded the latest version so I could (finally) subscribe. Unfortunately, once I successfully subscribed (paid), no issues became available for download. That's a pretty serious "bug", isn't it guys? If it doesn't work soon, and I mean soon, I am going to seek a refund via my credit card company. It's the 21st century. Get with it.

App freezing. This app just started freezing, can't get past the blue "Islands" screen before it closes. Beautiful magazine and subscribers should get the iPad version as part of their subscription. Please fix!

Terrible update. Reloaded app 4 times and it still crashes. Replace your technical team.

Islands Magazine App. I would like to subscribe to Islands Magazine on my iPad, but the application insists on crashing, even after deleting and reinstalling it. Hope the developer resolves this discrepancy. Until then, I won't be subscribing.

Freezing ISLANDS??. While it is a quality magazine once you get in, the constant freezes and needs to exit/reenter is too annoying. Needs a fix soon.

Total waste. Bought subscription and then nothing will work. worst part is they want to automatic renew!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME UNTIL IT'S FIXED

Does not work!. The only thing working is the App store page. Could not get anything to load. Deleted it. Waste of time!

Two page pictures. No crashing (yet). Only complaint is that many of the beautiful pictures in the magazine go across two pages but in the iPad edition there does not seem to be any way to display the pages side by side.

App doesn't work. I gave it 1 star caus it won't let you give zero My annual islands subscription is not working! I have tried to delete the app and reinstalling it and restoring purchases several times to no avail! Please help as I really loved this magazine!

Islands aren't suppose to freeze. The app is continuously freezing. Please fix

Waste. Not much content. Just trying to sell you their overpriced magazine. You can get a print subscription much cheaper.

Stay away. As soon as you download it freezes. Stay away. What a waste.

Not impressed. Only one download worked. The other one just has black pages.

Issues.... - Downloads don't finish; if they do, they don't install. - Resume option does not work.

Issues download blank. Appears lovely, but you have to wait several minutes for each issue to download, and after all that waiting, they're just blank anyway! Sadly deleted. Was really looking forward to reading these on an upcoming flight.

Keeps shutting down!. The photography is gorgeous and I do enjoy this app quite a bit. BUT, it keeps shutting down on me! It can happen as quickly as 30 seconds or as long as 20 minutes. Extremely frustrating! And now I can't even seem to post a review on this page either? Hmmm... Think I need to drop this down to 2 stars??

Great for the island traveler. This is a great app for anyone planning an island vacation (real or imaginary). I don't understand the negative reviews. So far all content has been for free and I'd pay the subscription price for new magazines as the iPad is the perfect delivery system for this content. The photographs are much richer with the background lighting, and you have access to so many more pictures. I use one of the photos as my wallpaper. Even the ads are outstanding as you get to explore hotels and resorts in a much more engaging and interactive format than with a paper magazine or even a website.

What is the purpose of this app?. I used to subscribe to Islands magazine and I loved it; I was so disappointed when they shut it all down. This app just tells me that I have no WiFi connection when I actually do and there’s nothing to see or log into. Is it supposed to be online magazine issues? Photos? What is the point?

Always frozen. Waste of money. App is always frozen.

I Loved The App BEFORE Newsstand!!. This app worked really well, but since the advent of Newsstand, it freezes and doesn't allow the publications to be viewed. I am SO glad that I waited to see if this would work with the free publications before signing up for the subscription! PLEASE fix this!

Magazine Crashing. Basically unusable after upgrade to IOS 8.

Stick to the print copy!. App downloads but crashes when you try to use it. Boo.

Won't open. This is my first-ever review on the app store, and I'm sorry it is so negative. However, after only one day of having Islands (and having it work), the app no longer responds. It crashes immediately. This is a shame, too, because I subscribe to the paper edition and was looking forward to perusing the iPad version with my wife next week on our beach vacation. The biggest irony is that my renewal letter for Islands magazine just arrived in the mail!

Very confusing. Locks up, in app purchases reads incorrectly, basically a terrible app. Do not download or purchase this!

Just doesn't work. Heaven help you if you've purchased an online subscription! This app freezes and crashes. I keep waiting for a fix, apparently it is not a priority. Apple should review this app and pull it from there store, it is an embarrassment.
