Best there is.. I have had the AmpKit+ app and AmpKit Link since Christmas and it's been great! I've only found one bug and contrary to the other reviews latency isn't it. The bug I found has to do with music playback problems and I am an odd case as I have very large files that may not be compatible just yet. I have contacted the AmpKit support and they are on top of the problem and will have it resolved (Lord willing) in the next update. AmpKit has been great, the sound is great, the support is great. I used to play in a couple touring bands and this really makes an excellent practice tool as well as allowing you to record if you need.

Unable to restore purchases.. Similar to other comments, some of which got resolved, I’m unable to restore my purchases. I reported the bug and hope to hear back soon on a solution.

Absolutely no support. I attempted to contact them 4 times for a bug found in the app that was preventing switching between amp set-ups. Twice through their website, once using the "in app" feedback, and once by direct e-mail. I never even got an automated response saying they received anything. For the price of this app I would certainly expect better support than this.

Cvm1983. Pretty dope. Authentic guitar modulation. As far as people complaining about the feedback. Hello the setup is supposed to represent real high wattage heads meaning two things. You can either turn down the volume on your phone or apply the built in noise gate pedal. The technology behind this app is astounding and I can't wait for more updates. Update: Careful about buying the full expansion. Not that there's anything wrong with it. It's awesome. However I just switched phones and it did not save the purchases in my iTunes which means I'd have buy them all again. I think that's pretty whack and that they resolve this issue.

OK, but not very useful beyond the gimmick. I got the ampkit along with the LiNK. Setting it up was easy and I tried it through an amp, headphones and PA. The first thing I noticed was the noise. This is one of the noisiest effects I have ever used. I can see why they prefer the noise gate on ALL the presets. Even clean sounds have noise. The second thing I encountered was feedback. Even using the headphones, feedback was present on any high gain sound. The sounds were a mixed bag. Heavy metal sounds were very accurate with easy pick harmonics and lushly broken up chords. All other sounds were so-so or just bad. One thing that was consistent was that all sounds were very bright. No tweaking corrected this. I just couldn't get a nice full sound out of it. Maybe I needed the extra downloaded content. I didn't have problems with saved presets. After power down the iphone and powering back up, all presets were still there. Maybe they fixed that in a patch. Overall, this is a decent little app for someone who doesn't want to carry a bunch of gear. I would dream of using this app live or in the studio though. The noise alone would be a problem along with the feedback issue.

Great app, needs Bluetooth out. Love this app It's fun and sounds awesome, and is a great value. I've tricked it out with the three biggest combo packs, and it's fun just noodling on different presets; it gives me musical ideas, like calling up patches on a synth. I do with they'd add support for Bluetooth out, though. I'd love to use it with wireless headphones, or my JamBox. I can handle the latency, dealing with it is just part of "playing the effects". Anyone else want this? :) Anyway, great product, and they don't nail you twice. Works GREAT on iPad too with a wonderful layout that puts all that screen space to good use, and all the stuff you buy works on all your iDevices. Well done.

It's getting there...but a few issues. Ok, I'm pretty hardcore about recording guitars. So this was a tough sell. I didn't expect to be blown away. And I wasn't. But it's a nice practice tool and a way to play around with ideas. Here's the 2 major issues for me: feedback. And I'm talking feedback with the $200 Alasis IO Dock. And there's just NO reason for that. But even that falls way under THIS raging showstopper...I can't scrub through my backing track. What?!?! If I'm working on a solo and need to do multiple takes, there's no way to fast forward through the audio file to get where you need to be. I have to literally copy/paste my song from Goodreader (via Dropbox) to TwistedWave (iPad WAV editor), crop the solo part out and cut/paste that part back in to work with. Good Lord. At least this app supports the IO Dock. I just can't believe how long it's been since an update. Come on guys!

CAN’T RESTORE PURCHASES. I paid for everything to be unlocked but after getting a new phone it will not let me restore the amps and pedals I bought. Total scam.

Dead App?. I was an early adopter of this app back when it was Peavey’s ampkit. Overall, this is a nice app with lots of versatility. I own ALL the upgrades and have used this extensively. However, it seems like Agile is letting this die on the vine. No updates to the app in two years. No new amp or effects models. No response to basic questions from their support website. I have to conclude they’ve decided they can’t compete with IK or Positive Grid (two good options).

Stopped Working. Used this for years with my iRig interface, spent a bunch of money on all of the add-ons, and it quit working. Irig works fine with Garage Band and Amplitube, but not Ampkit. Not impressed.

Can not restore purchases. Use to love this app. Just bought a new iPhone Xs and there is no option to restore all of my purchases. Avoid this app until the developer decides to do an update. In its current state you will be ripped off!

Not worth it. I bought the Ampkit+ and Ampkit Link. The Ampkit Link iPhone to guitar interface is poor quality - the Link did not work right, had poor output levels, and had lots of static right out of the box. I'm returning it - and I wish I could get a refund for Ampkit too. Altogether it was a waste of $50. Noisy, lots of clicks and pops, and useless for learning songs – you can import songs but you always have to start them over from the beginning – there is no way to scrub the track playback position, adjust playback speed, or set up loops to learn songs. Not what I expected from Agile. - Guitar Toolkit is great, and I thought I'd be getting the same quality stuff in Ampkit.

App is not bad but company is shady. Buy at your own risk. I bought tons of content in their other app Lick of the Day. I bought a new phone and iPad and they won’t let me install it on my new devices because I reached “device limit”. Sold my previous devices. When I try to contact support via the app or through their website they never respond. Been trying for 6 months. I’m sure they are happy to take the money and run. Do yourself a favor and find another product from a more reputable developer.

Rockin' and Rollin'. Sound is great. Out of the box presets shine, especially heavy distortion ones. Find other apps require more external EQ/filtering before they give you the sound you want, but Ampkit sounds polished as a stand alone app. For me, only 2 things I'd like to see added to the effect options: 1- option for wider stereo sound (I think it would be some type of optional headphone mode, because when linked direct to an amp you don't necessarily want this) 2- a positive octave pitch shifter (app has a lower octaves effect, but no upper octave pitch shift.). Come on, I want 12-string effect! (but with flexibility to harmonize at different pitches also)

Outstanding!. This app is GREAT! It works perfectly. I use it with Apogee's jam and output with a 1/8" cable with a 1/4" adapter plugged into a travel amp with the overdrive and effects shut off and everything sounds amazing. You can play and tweak your settings for hours searching for that perfect sound then save it and move on to the next one and have them all sitting on your shelf just a finger tap away. Also sounds great going direct into my PA and headphones to of course. If you play guitar and have a iPad this app should be on it. Thanks for a great app!

I PLAY IT LIVE!!!. Ampkit+ is the best iPhone Amp hands down. I made a strap holder for my phone & run straight to the PA, amps, even my stereo at home, killer sound wether it be my Martin OM or my custom Strat. First buy some of the FX Packs (Gear) you get a whole lot more to work with, then take the time to write you're FX. Between all the amps, stomp's & mic's it's endless. *IMPORTANT* don't pug in the iPhone power cord this creates noise, doesn't matter if it's Ampkit+ or Aplitube this creates noise! If you don't like the Ampkit plug try the iRig plug they all work the same way. I've played for 26yrs, a GIT grad, lots of amps in my time & it's it's lighter than my Peavey Vypyr 120 by about 6000lbs. Just turn everything off on your iPhone but the Amp & read the instructions!!! Then f___Ing rock or whatever you do!!! And apple can we get some mini tubes in these things maybe the iPhone 5? WHAT THEY DON'T TELL BASS PLAYER'S SORRY IT SOUNDS LIKE AMPLITUDE!!!!

Not so good for bass. Please note that I'm using this for bass, not guitar, so your mileage may vary. All in all it's usable as a headphone practice amp but only if you have good headphones that can accurately produce bass. I even went ahead and bought the bass amp model and it's really not much better than the included Marshall clone. I found using this through a bass amp (transparent, set flat) or powered speakers resulted in a noisy sound with a lack of volume. Some of the effects are nice on bass, particularly the Elevenizer, the chorus and delay. So if you're a bass player and evaluating AmpKit, don't expect to use for anything other than a private practice tool.

Electric violinists can get in on the action. I am not a guitarist at all, but I do have a violin with a Realist pickup. I was looking for a quick and cheap way to add effects to my sound. I downloaded the + version of the app, added the effect bundle, and bought the ampkit link. Bearing in mind that I know next to nothing about effects and amp settings, this app is very easy to use. Plugging in is incredibly easy. It works great with headphones or connected to an amp through the auxiliary input. Some of the effects sound awesome! Distortion, fuzz, and delay seem to work the best with the violin sound. Unfortunately some of them don't work for me at all or are very difficult to hear even after spending some time fiddling (no pun intended) with the settings. There is also a significant amount of signal loss with the ampkit link since it connects through the headphones. I noticed that my pickup puts out relatively little signal compared to my friend's guitar though, so guitarists may not experience these issues. Considering that this app was intended for use with a guitar I'm very pleased that I was able to use this with my violin.

Stopped working with Garageband. Can’t get it to work using Apple’s Inter-App Audio API and as of writing this, the app hasn’t been updated in 4 years! Agile Partners should be ashamed. I regret giving them my money. They haven’t kept their end of the deal.

Awesome program, huge update!. The reason I was using Amplitube was that Agile Partners seemed to have halted development on AmpKit+ due to the lack of updates since the end of last year. When I found out a new version had been released I quickly went through the list of what was new and decided to buy it. They did manage to pack quite a lot of new features during the long wait to version 1.2 (they were definitely not idle since 1.1). I have now used it for a few days with my Apogee JAM interface and just sold my old iRig and got rid of Amplitube (which by the way does not support the JAM and forces you to buy all add-ins TWICE: once for the iPad version and a second time for the iPhone version - definitely not a consumer oriented business practice). Not only are the models, features and interface great, but the attention to detail really sets this one apart from the competition. I bought all the bundles and the Peavey 6505+ amp which was left behind after buying all of them. I am really happy I bought it and highly recommend it. Also do yourself a favor and give the Apogee JAM a try. The AmpKit+ with JAM combo is a winner!

No option Restore in-app purchases... This was my favorite app to play guitar. I liked it so much that I spent $50 to buy all Amps & FX. I was excited to use this app on my new iPhone X. I was quickly let down when I found that there was no way to restore my purchases on my iPhone X. If they fix this issue, I will fix my rating. Until then it’s a 1 star.

Was my favorite app until ios16 and iPhone14pro. Please fix the OTG audio input problem and I’ll update the stars for the review.

Amazing app restores just fine these other reviews are by idiots. app is amazing and does amazing job .can restore just fine if you pay attention just was moved. says so in one of the reviews just pay attention. wish they would do new update and add a few more effects and or features though. overall great sound and great app. these other people are morons

Does not work with air pods. No update since AirPods came out. Can’t use with a modern phone in a sensible manner. Used to be good, be don’t buy this until they bring it up to date.

Wow, just Wow!. I recently purchased my first electric guitar after playing acoustic for about three years. I do not have a fancy amp or any pedals. I bought the iRig 2 for the iPad along with this app and have been extremely pleased with the kind of sounds I have been able to make. The possibilities are endless. This combination has just made my journey into playing electric guitar so much more exciting and I have not even scratched the surface of what I can do with this app. It does take a little time to setup and adjust to get what you like but for me that was part of the fun and a learning process to be remembered.

Fantastic. This is simply the best amp sim available on the iPhone right now. The amp models and effects are great, there is no latency, and recording is quick and easy. The dry signal is recorded as well as the processed signal, and it lets you reamp and change the effects after the fact. This is a huge advantage over its competition. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it lacks support for any kind of audio copy and paste. I'm told this feature is in the works; that'll make this app nearly perfect.

Absolutely AMAZING! Seriously!!!. I actually gave a rather unfavorable review on version 1, when I was using the iRig, as well as trying out the AmpKit Link (a little better). I just bought the Apogee Jam last week, and it really brought this app to life!!! Now that I can delete the noise filters, the amps and effects really open up and sing. If you would have told me five years ago that I would be plugging my guitar into my phone, much less having it sound this good, I would have thought you were nuts! Well the combination of this app, and the apogee jam, you could probably get by gigging with this plugged straight into a p.a. I'm using an old Altec 2.1 speaker set I bought at Target 5 years ago for $50 (they don't make that model anymore), and the sound is monstrous, clear, and devastating. My new practice tool, I LOVE IT!! If they ever add a multitrack recorder to this, I could get rid of a bunch of apps. Also, to the developers, can't wait to see more sims (Orange? Ampeg? GK? Trace?) THIS APP ROCKS! Get it! By the way, this app is so good, I'm thinking about selling my current practice rig, a VOX VT20+ :)

The best iOS Amp Simulator. PERIOD!. If you are looking for something portable for guitar practice, need Hi-Gain Guitar tones and you have an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, your search is over! AmpKit is the best solution. You'll find very good simulations of famous HI-Gain amps like Marshall® JCM900, Peavey 6505+ and Mesa/Boogie® Dual Rectifier, plus their respective cabs and a good selection of Mics. Also, you'll find an extensive repertoire of famous pedal models and you can eve set them in front of the amp, after the amp (Send/Return FX Bus) of even after the Cab! Also, I would recommend to get AmpKit Link because it has lower feedback crosstalk and it's cheaper unless you have a Guitar Plug that goes directly to the Dock Connector, which would be the best option to avoid feedback crosstalk. Furthermore, You'll have a metronome, a tuner, can jam with the music you have in your device, you can record, re-amp your previous recording and even send the recording (either dry or wet) by email, to another iOS app that supports Audio Copy/Paste or even to SoundCloud! You don't loose anything. Try the Free version and hear it yourself!

Want a refund... Seriously. I travel a bit and practice my guitar nearly every day ad I'm a serious amateur musician. Of course I don't expect to use this for a live show, are you kidding? I just want it to sound decent--not even good--through headphones so I can practice with playalong tracks, songs from iTunes, etc. I had been using an ancient korg pandora's box, which was fine and dandy but of course meant carrying an extra box 2x the size of the phone, and 4 aaa batteries or bulky power supply. Since I love most apps on my iphone4, I thought this 4-out-of-5 star app would be great....certainly on par if not better than my old cheap pandora, right?? Wrong!! An dang was i dissappoonted. My axe-fx ultra does such an amazing modeling job...but this app has so many things wrong: ...Missing key features, lag, bad interface with iTunes, lackluster recording, unbelievable noise issues to deal with, Scratchy, poppy peavey interface 50 bucks for software and hardware???!!! Needless to say I'm back to the old pandoras box If you are an even somewhat serious guitarist you won't be able to stand the lag.

Very nice!. Just purchased Ampkit+ and the link. Very happy with it. I think the sounds are much better than Amplitube. It also seems to be more stable. I only have 2 minor issues: 1) the noise gate has an unnatural quality about it when it cuts out that seems odd. 2) I wish you could record multiple tracks. The new version of Amplitube does this and it's the only feature I strongly desire. Very strongly desire! even if I have to pay for it. Agile are you listening? All in all though...fantastic app!

Great app but iPhone X not showing restore purchase or my purchases option in store???. Great app but iPhone X not showing restore purchase or my purchases option in store??? You still get five stars but that little gray line at the bottom to restore purchases.....really? Slick Willy

No Restore Purchase. Have iPhone XS. No option to restore purchases. Had everything unlocked and now only bare essentials available. Needs a quick fix please. Update: seems the fix is on the bottom of the gear page as you slide it all the way up, you have to tap at the bottom of the screen in a very thinly sliver of grey. Purchases are now restored. Review back up to 4 Stars. This app is still great. I’d like to see an update sometime soon though.

Best yet. I have every guitar and amp app and hardware to go with them. I have to say I like this the best but I have found that they all are really impressive considering a couple of years ago I would have thought it to be a dream to be practicing at this quality through my headphones. So thanks to everyone who worked they're tails off cause I really appreciate it even if I think the in-app purchasing is a bit much after the 20 dollar entry fee but I still love ya

I gave Agile Partners apps 5 stars prior. They were quite on top of their game and I paid for all of them and the IAPs. Something has happened in the last year or so and they don’t seem to respond quickly and don’t seem to be adding to the Apps nor developing new ones. Not sure why as they were quite good at it.

Like it a lot. I picked up an iRig HD and bought the Fender package from amplitube and it worked pretty well but the interface is kind of fiddly on the iPhone. Tiny knobs and hard to hit buttons. Ampkit works great with the iRig HD interface and the app itself is easier to use and the sound is much better than amplitube. I am able to get some very good clean tones, which I could never really manage to get with amplitube. (I tried the free version of the app as well as the Fender version that I paid $15 for.) It's easier to adjust settings for all the amps and pedals because ampkit has nice big sliders rather than the "actual" knobs on the amplitube amps and pedals. There is also a very good system for storing and recalling presets that is clearer and easier to manage. Overall I like ampkit much more than amplitube.

Awesome!!!!!. I had been using the Jamup app , but I didn't like having to make my own chains and I wanted one with more presets, so I reluctantly purchased this app and OMG was i impressed, it was like night and day!!! The signal is clean with almost no background noise ( I couldn't get rid of the feedback/hum on the Jamup app no matter what I did) and the presets are absolutely amazing!!! I would recommend this to any iOS user who plays guitar. I can't believe I almost passed on this app, that would have been a huge mistake. I no longer have any use for the Jamup app, kind of a waste of money but what are you gonna do, right? Wish I had seen this one first...,,,

AmpKit Pushed Their Paying Customers Off a Cliff. They apparently sold to a TAB company and they tied the app to their tablature business. Always know that this can happen with any app. Another common practice is to claw back features and sell them back to you. Not to mention the new “RENTAL” craze. “You will own nothing and be happy.” “A steering wheel? You want a steering wheel? That’s another hundred dollars a month.” I bought the whole package what feels like a decade ago. It was the best sounding app at the time. Now? Abandonware.

My secret weapon. First of all, to anyone complaining about the in app purchases - you do realize how expensive these pedals are in real life, right? I'd say spending a few bucks for an echo effect that would otherwise run around $170 isa pretty good deal, especially when they sound pretty darned good. I kinda like the idea of only having to spend around $50 for a full suite of effects, amps, and presets that I can then run not only my guitar through, but anything that can be run through an Audio interface -- vocals, piano, even other apps and synthesizers thanks to Audiobus integration -- and record either inside of Ampkit or with a professional grade DAW like Cubase. All for less than the cost of a practice amp. And by the way, when I cranked this up on my ipad speakers, my wife thought I was blasting my 65 watt amp. Finally, for my favorite use -- in conjunction with the TabToolkit by the same company. I love muting the guitar out of the tabs and playing in top of the drum, bass, and keys through Ampkit. I even did exactly this when I played for a funeral (long story, but it worked really well). Right now I'm working on my first full length album, and I plan on producing the entire thing with my ipad. So again, for anyone complaining about spending $3 on a pedal or an amp, please remember: this is not a toy, or a gimmick. This is the real deal. And like a real guitar, it will reward you in equal measure to what you put into it.

UPDATE: NO RESTORE PURCHASES OPTION!!!. PREVIOUS: There is no Restore Purchases option on iPhone Xs. I previously paid for ALL available and future items. I feel ripped off, to say the least!!! DO NOT BUY THIS APP UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED!!! UPDATE: I contacted SUPPORT, and they responded with the solution. Though not at all obvious, their solution worked, and ALL PURCHASES WERE RESTORED!!! If you are having this same problem as I had, contact SUPPORT online directly, as I did, for the solution. SUPPORT promised to fix the RESTORE procedure in their next update. They called the current problem “a bug”. Considering that it has been a year since the last update, I consider the current RESTORE “bug” a major support flaw. I updated my rating from one star to three stars today, but will not give this App five stars until the UI is updated with an OBVIOUS FUNCTIONAL RESTORE BUTTON. It’s a matter of loyalty and respect for the customer, and it’s about doing good business. My best regards.

Huge update. Truly awesome update. Models are seriously improved and far better sounding then anything else right now in the app store for amp simulation. The new amps sound great , too. The star of the new update is multitasking, though. Finally able to jam with other apps! Have not tested whether it will record with audio from other apps. If they would just allow you to slow down recordings so you can phrase train, it would be a perfect five. However, I have other apps now to do that and can play along with them! You guys are awesome thank you!

This is AWESOME. I bought the Amp Kit Peavey adapter and then the full version of Amp Kit for my IPAD - I was very impressed with the sound and response and the ability to change things easily and develop sounds. I will admit I went and bought other amps and cabinets and 1 effect pedal - I was disappointed that those do not transfer to your Itunes and allow you to load them to say another device - "my Ipod Touch" sorry I just had to see... But overall I am very impressed and I think soon with more tweaking this could be used for live pieces - now guys you need to make some kind of a foot pedal to change to your different presets. I loved the backing tracks and the expanse on that would be a good idea too - maybe get some professional artists to allow backing tracks to be installed?? And let us not forget recording - got an idea -you can capture it. Next text - run this into my Pro Tools rig and cut a guitars track or 2 - I think it will ROCK.

Great tones. Running iOS 4.1 on an iPhone 4 with the Link... Sounds great and looks great! Now while it may be true that the base app and add-ons might seem a bit pricey at first... If you compare those prices to what you would have to spend to buy a multi-effects processor or plugin for your pc/Mac...let alone buy the real equipment... The price is not bad at all. I have had great customer support so far from the vendor. Could use some vocal specific setups and copy/paste, but other than that is a great way to have a versatile rig in the palm if you hand. Also, the Peavey Link does a great job of eliminating feedback and interference as advertised... So break down and buy them both! You will be happy you did.

Awesome!!! Seriously. I have purchased to my knowledge, most of or all the amplifier apps, amplitube, GarageBand (both I still use), and one or two others I don't remember since I deleted them a while back. This is by far the best, the price is right and if you have an adapter already a good investment, definitely worth a buy before a try. I play a mix of 70's rock lead, old metal, thrash, speed, and anything challenging, this not only handles it, but the sound you can achieve is way above the quality of any other apps. There's tons of effects that come with it, and the extra in app purchases are inexpensive, I really wish I had looked at this before wasting money on amplitube, GarageBand still stands close to me because of my iPad, but this takes the cake.

Best Sounding App by Far. This is the best sounding guitar app by far for me—it has a huge sound to it. The Peavey Valve King amp sounds spectacular, even the clean channel. I play mainly blues but was previously into hard rock/metal and the Valve King is bringing that back into my playing. The Colonel amp which models a Marshall is great too. The other features are great and the effects are nice too. Although I wish it would have come with a delay pedal—it's an in-app purchase, along with many other effects and amps. The recording feature is awesome, but I wish you could adjust the beginning and ending loop points. Get this app (or at least try the free version), you'll have a blast. I haven't stopped using it!

Pleasantly Surprised. I work with a lot of acoutsics, and acoustic guitars. Ran it through my Washburn 6 String, Martin 12 string and a clasical guitar, using line out into an amp, and line in to an iMac, and it surprised me. The sound quality was good, no latency - on the iPad that is. When I used the iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.3, it "hiccupped" a little. This may be because of the phone, and not the app itself. Well worth the money. On the road a lot, and I can record stuff to email home. The only downside - there's a lot of pedals for Distortion, and not a lot for acoustic guitars. LESS Distortion pedals please! It's pretty bad when I can make a 12-String Acoustic sound like Van Halen. Some people may think that's awsome though.

iOS 16.5.1, iOS 16.6 Feedback and distortion. On my one device that has iOS 16.5 I have no issues with the app, but on my other iOS 16.5.1 and iOS 16.6 devices the audio comes out with this digital distorted with some feedback sometimes. It's also affecting bias amp 2 so I assume it just needs an update since the latest OS version broke something on these apps.

Fixed! ... was: Broken: in-app purchases...Help!. Update: With the latest update, when you click Restore Purchases, it works. Several days after contacting the developer, a new version was released and it's fixed. ... ... Old comments, that can be ignored: I "unlocked everything" with an in-app purchase on my iPad. *My account was charged the amount stated in the offer.* I deleted the app, the re-loaded. When I click "Restore Purchases" an error pops-up: "Purchase Failed The operation couldn't be completed (SKErrorDomain error-2005.)" Nothing was unlocked. There's no response from numerous queries to Agile Partners Support now for days. I even tried purchasing it again. The second transaction shows up, though forutnately as $0.00. The app works on my iPhone and I had years ago unlocked everything on it. As far as I know that one still works. I hoped to get a bass amp on my iPad. I can only give it one star. If Agile Partners fixes this, I'll change this review. If they even respond, I'll update this review. Help!

Where’s “restore purchase“?. I bought all effects and amps but got a new iPhone and now the option “restore purchase” didn’t show!

Best guitar app ever!!!. My guitar amp broke so I was thinking of buying another one but I saw this app decided to try the free version and loved it so I bought the full and now it is WAY better than my old amp its got many different settings and great for recording and when I connect it to my speakers its awesome I was not expecting this to be so great and I play guitar and bass for a hobby so this suits me well. But imagine playing on stage with your guitar connected to your iPod instead of an amp haha.

Worth every penny.. I have Fenders, I have Peaveys, I have Marshalls, I store-bought and custom-made pedals and on and on. What I didn't have before this app was a way to take them with me. The Ampkit Link is better than the iRig for ease of use and sound quality and the app itself is better written than all of the other ones currently available. It works flawlessly and predictably. I have already tried the new Trace Elliot amp with my Mike Lull P4 (Death Cab For Cutie hand-me-down) tonight and it impresses me more than any of the amazing guitar amps I've been using since the app launched. I've actually played it live from an iPad thru FOH in a pinch one night when asked to get up and do something for a "guest spot" in a cover band. Good on Hartley Peavey for partnering with these guys. AWESOME engineering and manufacturing quality.

Awesome guitar app!. This app is really something. It works well in every area. And you can record which is cool! Only thing I am not pleased about is that for $23 you get somethings but not enough to justify the purchase. If I had known that I would have to pay extra for over priced amps, cabs and pedals that should have been inclusive for the price paid. I would have reconsidered. Don't get me wrong great app, just be aware that you don't get everything. As you do with amplitube.

Very simple, very user friendly, very effective.. It says it all in my title.

Mello. I've had this app for a few years now after trying several others first and I just LOVE IT! I have tried a few of the new apps to see if something better's this but nothing comes close, it's sounds are fantastic and the graphics and layout make it very easy to use, to find your way around and mix and play around with all the sounds. My opinion is that this is the best App in it's class. Rock on \---/ A+

No option to restore purchases. This feature has suddenly disappeared and the agile support crew don’t answer. I unlocked all amps and have been a loyal user for many years and now all my amps and pedals are gone with no option to restore. Emailing support has been futile. With vague answers referencing past app versions. I’ll be seeking a refund and letting Apple know how misleading and slow to respond the app developers are. This was the best app. Now it just steals money. Don’t upgrade your phone you’ll lose everything.

2 stars. Restore purchases button is hidden at the very bottom of the gear store, basically impossible to see.

Nice app. Lots of options and sounds good A little noisy with my 'unofficial' interface but still is accaptable for jamming or late night sessions on headphones. Lots of extras and well worth the money.

Simplicity and cost efficiency. I rarely write reviews for products i purchase, however this application is worthy of some praise!!!!! Firstly I like the interface, the simple way i can choose and view the various effects etc, the sound is good, i am not a veteran guitarist so my review may be more suited to a novice like myself. If you are seeking something which is cost effective and yet allows you to grow your guitar knowledge and provide new sounds and develop your skill i can highly recommend this. As for the cost, i feel the cost is a fraction the effects would cost me and i can purchase more in the future, so i have an effects platform i can use now and develop as my skill increases.

Needs midi foot control. Fantastic sounding with Peavey Amplink hardware. Best sounding amp sim I have used by far but desperately needs some way to change channels on amp and engage foot pedals with foot! (useless for live use without this). Midi control support please!

Fantastic (and cheaper) alternative to buying a practice amp!. This has amazing sounds from it. For $20 you get many amp, cab, pedal and mic models to create sounds from pristine cleans to raw fuzz! Love the addition of backing tracks and ability to import and export tracks in this manner… My ONE big request! Please link up the app to file sharing in iTunes…. I would love to be able to move backing tracks to and from the device using iTunes instead of having to import them into my iTunes library and then use the app to import them into the backing tracks library. Thanks for this app and keep it up!

Griffin Stompbox compatibility please?!. This app is amazing, only thing I hope they bring in is compatibility for Griffin Stompbox! That would make this app 100% perfect and make performing live much easier!

Junk. This is one of those apps where to use it properly if at all requires buying additional bits and pieces which then start to cost real money. I also purchased Amplitube and Pocket Amp a few months back which both work with the iRig set up, and have many effects and amps built in. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU THINK THE iRIG SET UP WORKS WITH THIS. I've chased the costs of this heap and with the additional bits and pieces, the others far outweigh this app value wise. Pocket Amp is okay but invest in the Amplitube instead. Waaayy better value for money. And no, I have no affliliation with any of the software developers.

Ampkit rocks. Really really great app for guitarists wanting to Jam anytime anywhere. No bugs I've found yet. It's easy to use and I'm actually using this live it sounds that great and realistic! I would call it top I'd the line for interfaces and software I'm currently running the iRig with it as I like it better than the peavey one. All round amazing app. Future of guitar

It just got better.... Some nice additional features in the latest update. With such a huge preset selection that actually sounds great without feeling the need to tweak it any further I have found AmpKit+ very easy to use if you want to just quickly plug in and play. If you wish to tweak it further you of course can. Great quality sounds with stereo effects.

180 Top Darts. If you want a way above average way of practicing and keeping track/recording the new riffs you come up with don't overlook this. Heaps of cool stuff and even with the free version you ready to go. So far I've only bought the upgrade and one delay pedal and am happy as. Good stuff....... YIPPA

Bad Experience. Don't do it! It looks ok until you pay to unlock the content...and it doesn't unlock. Then you try to re download and get charged again for the same content. At which point the "helpful" people at Agile disappear and refuse to respond to support requests.

Good app. This is an awesome app but it would not let you play music from your iPod I hope the next update will allow music from your iPod be playing while using this app

Awesome app!. This app is amazing! I have had it for about two years and it keeps getting better with frequent updates. The sounds are awesome and extremely realistic. VoiceOver support, while quite good is now fantastic after the recent upgrade. Keep up the great work and I do recommend this app to all my friends.

Great but greedy!. So after spending $23.99 on this app I was extremly upset. I was under the asumption that you get all the Amps & FX. Not the case.. you don't get any of the classic amps or even the delay pedal!!!. How about some clear infomation on what you get for your money. I have wasted that money because the things I wanted arn't even there!! So now I have to keep spending??? Ripped off!!! GREAT BUT GREEDY!!

its a good app. the only prolem i have is it says parental controls are on but i turned them off and i cant buy any amps.

First class app!!!. The last time I was able to play with so many amps, cabinets, effects... was in a music store. As soon as I heard the sound quality and authenticity, I bought all possible bundles and I'm glad I did. One thing I hope they include in the next update is a preset sharing database between users where we can upload and download among each other, that would the best thing ever. First class app!

Not Bass Player Friendly without Spending Extra $$$. I bought this ap and, although it is very guitar friendly,I was annoyed it had no bass guitar specific amps included. If you want thoseit cost extra. They should make a bass player version of this paid ap. Also you can not play along with your own iPhone music collection which is a huge oversight. The AmpKit LINK was difficult to source at retail and when I got the first one, it was defective - DON't buy online for this reason. The AmpKit LINK is cheap and poorly designed. It costs as much as some entry level mixing boards, which by comparison have way more componentry and higher quality parts. In short the AmpKit LINK is very overpriced. It also lacks a belt clip which would seem like a obvious nessesity. Over all, am very dissapointed and believe the door is wide open for a more professional attempt at this type of device. I wasted $70.

Best thing that will ever happen to your ipod. I just got the app and I can't put it down!! It's amazing!. This is a great app for ANY guitar player. I brought the ampkit home thinking it was going to be "okay" but No its awesome. Its still not as good as playing through a real amp but it's pretty close. the ONLY bad thing I can say about this app is that it's not that cheap but if you love playing guitar get the peavey ampkit you will love it

Not as good as amplitube. But not horrible. The guy below is right, no bass amp included but that doesn't matter because the iPhones mic input can't do anything below 100 hz so if you play bass forget it, look somewhere else. I like that it let's you record and the way the effects are laid out but other than that amplitube sounds way, way better.

This App totally ROCKS!. I spent the better part of 5 hours comparing "Guitar Apps" the other day and "AmpKit" totally Rocks! 5 Stars ***** It's by far the BEST sounding of all guitar Apps to date, designed to be very portable, the interface is very intuitive/easy to use and the guitar amps modeled are based on 'real life' classic guitar amplifiers. Imagine playing a Fender Twin Deluxe and in a matter of seconds changing to a Messa Boogie....Groovy!! Combine Amps with a veritable cornucopia of Effect Pedals and/or swap Amp Cabinets too for a virtually limitless soundscape extravaganza ranging from super clean tones to modern day shredding..... The limit is your imagination. My gear at home includes my iPad, the AmpKit+ (application bundle wickedly priced including all you need and more to get you Rocking fast), AmpKit LINK (I got mine at a local guitar shop in town for $32 bucks & PEAVY even includes the 2 AAA batteries required..Wicked), a Line 6 Spider III amplifier (You can run the App through headphones too), a shielded electric guitar cable and a Fender Standard Stratocaster plus an extra 1/8" double male cable to run from the LINK into my Amp instead of using headphones. The Application is literally "plug and play" simply download the App, install the AAA batteries, hook up the AmpKit LINK to your IPod Touch or IPad, plug in your electric guitar, plug in your headphones or amp and start Rocking Out!! Their online support team is really there for you too. I simply sent an email congratulating them on creating such a fantastically fun Application for electric guitar & iPad plus made a small suggestion. My small suggestion was to increase the "low end Bass frequency response" to compliment the treble in the High Gain Amplifier models in future updates. They got back to me the very next day saying their Techs are aware of the "Bass issue" and are working on the situation....now that's what I call "online support"!!...Nice. On a side note: The PEAVY "AmpKit LINK" dongle seems to work fine on all other guitar amplifier emulated Apps too......incase you feel the need to use more than one application.

Good app but pricy. All in all fun app for guitarist but really no big difference between free and paid app. Should just make flat amount for all equipment within app. Otherwise pretty cool app

Lost all my purchases. Honestly I love this app used it allot a while back then I stop (long story) but just recently I got a new bass and no amp so I downloaded the app again and tried to restore purchases but nothing.. same Apple account and all.. this sucks

Incredible app. The models can sound very similar but other than that, this app is quite nice. Flexible routing options let you place pedals before or after the amp. Getting to choose your head, cab, mic, mic axis and pedals...all on your phone really makes the price worthwhile.

Wow. Best dam amp app going👿

Great App- Wish there was more bundles or an all in one kit. What a great little app. What used to take bringing my Pod XT Live to the pc and hooking everything up to practice quietly to backing tracks or music can now be done with my ipad/Ipod and the ampkit link and a cable and headphones. The quality of the sound and ease of use of the GUI is great. I tried the Amplitube app and the sound quality can't touch this app. My only small beef is the number of amp/effect kits available for purchase. There are so many. I picked up the Summer Special kit for $9.99 and a delay pedal for $5 but I wish there was an option just to buy the whole package as a bundle. Nothing like seeing a cool preset and then finding you need a $5 amp or pedal to use it.

New wave of audio recording has officially now begun....... It's about time. Finally a track recording amp simulator where you can MONITOR THE RECORDING OUTPUT SIGNAL. It's the only one in the entire app store that has this feature. Also you can set a precount when you are recording so your loops line up properly. I haven't found another app that can do that either. In addition: -You can play over your recorded tracks which are called background tracks.(great for mode practicing) -you can use an irig (what I use) or other 3rd party input devices (make sure they have a monitor output on the device). You can use line signals with impedance adapter if there is no line-in (dynamic mics, synths, mixers etc.) -you can pick actual instruments for your click track. (kick drum, hi-hat) -it sounds incredible and with the right settings you can get musical sounding feedback, just like a real amp. (I was drooling, this is a very difficult feature to attain with software) -you can reamp your dry signal in re-amp mode -you can e-mail yourself or others your recordings. -it's a cinch to upload and download to your computer and it sounds great. When you open the URL and choose the download option, control click and choose download linked file. It will then appear in your downloads folder. Copy the file into an audio file in logic or protools and whoala! Imported. You can choose the wet, dry or both recordings. Do the same thing to import your sampled drums or whatever (bounce first within locators). Suggestions: -multitasking support please.

Amazing sound but .... Ok...in first the sound is amazing but the amp can't be control by midi. All of others guitar amp simulator can be controled see amplitube, Isherd, and JamUp. In this time I thing to change for JamUp pro for the amazing song trainer and footswitcheable. Agile you don't listen your fans and for me "vous aller manquer le train"

Ampkit. I can't imagine playing with this app in a PA, it sounds really digital, no tube feeling at all. I want my $20 back. No good clean sound nor distortion. You can get GarageBand for $5 with all the bonus if you really want to be able to get a kind of guitar sound...

Amazing. I never thought I'd say this about a virtual amp/effector sim but this is just amazing! I was a bit dissatisfied with the hardware so switched to apogee jam(90 bucks) and it just sounds beautiful. The tone possibilities are endless with various amps, cabinet, effector, and even mics! Sounds are crisp and clear with apogee Jam. It was a very worthwhile payment considering the fun me and this app is going to have!! Keep the ideas coming agile partners. We love em. One suggestion is to adapt amplitube's song section looping feature, which would just make this app perfect.

Awesome app. Please add audiobus support!!! I love the tones in this app and have bought all gear. Now to just route it to the multitrack recorder

Lacks a delay. Not bad, but I find it hard to ajust the input and it lacks a delay. Seems to me like a basic effect to throw in.

Already purchased effects. I had already purchased all effects and amps. The restore license button is gone. I was advised to use the little white bar st the bottom under purchased. It does not work and I was then advised to waite for a next update. This app has been there for a long time, updates at this point to restore my purchases is not a solution. Ps: after reinstalling other guitar effects apps, I was prompted to restore my purchases upfront no fuss. So I moved on to use the other apps, just as good. Disappointed

My favorite amp app. First of all a word about gear: if you expect sound from the 1/8 headphone jack adapter to be as good as one going through the 30 pin digital, you are setting yourself up for disappointment and frustration. Trust me, you can hear and feel the price difference. I’m a bass player and have an iRig and an iRiffport. Actually, no, I just gave away my irig to a friend. Among Amplitube, Pocket GK, Mobile POD, Ampkit is my favorite. You get tons of tones, useful tools like a tuner and metronome, a simple recording interface, and my favorite: background audio/ ios multitasking. This basically enables you to dial in your tone, hit the home button and run a sheet music app like forScore or iRealb while still hearing yourself. Amplitube as a better 16 track recording interface but only works with the irig. And yes, Ampkit works with the iRiffport. The Trace Elliot sounds really good, but my big fingers have a hard time using the tiny 12 band EQ buttons!

Multitasking Rules!. I love this app. Other than its amp modelling and recording abilities, the feature that sells this app for me is its ability to multitask. That is, once you have set up your rig, Ampkit allows you to run another app while it plays in the background, i.e. you can still monitor your guitar while watching a video lesson, following a tab app (Sonsterr+), or slow a song down to learn it (Anytune). The addition of the Multitasking tool took this app from just being on my iPad to being used hard every day. It might seem a little pricey, but it is worth every penny for such a workhorse app.

Stick With the Free Version. Not enough additional effects for the price. You think you're getting lots of effects included, but you have to buy the more useful ones individually. Also needs multitrack recording. Poor value

, Ampkit+le top. J’ai essayer plusieurs apps, dans le apple store sans doute le meilleur pour sa sonorité facilité utilisation

SCAMMERS !!!!!!. For 27.99 ( cdn ) you can purchase Ampkit +. After that, you can purchase more gear. BUT AFTER YOU PAY YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS.... U NEVER GET THE GEAR. WHAT A GREAT DEAL EH??? TONESTACK or JAMUP is much better than this $$$ THIEVING hunk of crap.

The best. This is the best app out there for your guitar, the sound is incredible, the graphics in the app are far superior to anything, the logic and simplicity is extraordinary and now there is only one app for my iPhone and iPad, i can share the effects that i buy with the two devices, access my iPod music, etc... The price is more than fair, for example, if you buy amplitube you need an app for iPad and one for iPhone, that is at least 40 bucks! And the support is the best one! Every time i ask something in mail, or in the app, on in twitter they answer me right away in the greatest way. Buy this app, you wont regret it. Remember you need ampkit link to take advantage of this

Great app. Very useful presets and sounds, specially the distortions, close to zero latency, nice interface but little confusing, I could almost use it live with ampkit.. The only drawback in my opinion is that there are no stereo effects, everything is in mono! Hence minus one start, keep up the good work and the updates.

What they don't tell bass players is.... …the new Trace Elliot bass amp they make such a big deal about IS NOT part of the app - you need to buy it as an extra add-on! In fact, neither of the bass amps they offer come as part of the app. BOTH are extra add-ons. That said, it is an excellent app which pretty much blows the others away. If you are a bass player though you should check out the Pocket GK app. Not nearly as full featured as this…but, it is modeled on the GK amp. I was going to give it 4 stars BUT they lose a star for no free bass amps……….

great app but one guitar has bad feedback. I was having all kinds of feedback problems even with the sound turned low so I switched guitars and had no problems with the next 3 I tried . Only the one guitar had feedback

Wow!. I personally LOVE this app! Great for practicing and writing sessions. If you can get the perfect tone, you could probably play through Ampkit, which would then go through a PA system! Awesome app! I use the peavey 6534+ amp! I started off with the presets, and worked my tone from there. But the presets sound good already.

excellent. this app is great. i find the sound quality to be excellent even on my low quality guitar. my only complaint is that the fuzz pedal sounds horrible. it adds only harshness and no "warmth" as is claimed in the description. otherwise its phenomonal good job AP!

The most diverse guitar effects simulator. I own both the ampkit+ and amplitude apps and while they are both really good, the AMPKIT app lets you achieve a much higher level of diversity in tone and crazy sounds than the other apps. The new rocktron HUSH pedal is awesome at eliminating the digital hiss of direct guitar recording. p.s. This app makes it alot easier to save and handle your own effect settings and user presets.

Fun. I would give it two more stars if you would able to play your music and run the app at the same time (Re review) wrote this review and less than a day later ampkit emailed me and told me how to import songs from my library. So from 3 Stars to 5

Great but could be better. First review: Great sound quality. However every time you adjust anything on a preset like volume... It saves it under your presets. That is sooo annoying. You guys have to put in the ability to scrub backing tracks. Have to have that. If you wanna work on a bridge or a solo you have to replay song in its entirety . That is a little ridiculous. Please fix this next to perfect amp simulation Thank you. As a side note: A friend and I were having an ampkit jam last night. I was using the amplkit connector and he, a box a friend made for him to connect. I never realized how much cross talk the ampkit connector cancels out. Both using 3GS. Not only did I have minimal cross talk in comparison but more volume as well. Glad I purchases the ampkit connector. New review: Needs an update badly!!!! You have to give us the ability to scrub tracks period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How hard is that to do????????????? I will reinstate the 5 star when you give us a common sense update !!! Thank you

Wow!!!. Yes... This is expensive for an app, but with the guitar bud cables ($30) is far superior to my $60 practice amp (+ $100 in pedals & cables). I use logitech surround w/headphone jack for my computer & sounds amazing. Ampkit+ has the best icon in the AppStore!

By far my favorite. Update - audiobus compatibility added, back to 5 stars By far my favorite of this type of app - if the price puts you off try the free version first and compare it to the free versions of the other amp-apps. Night and day in terms of sound and user experience.

Meh...it's okay.. Like I said its okay...it's actually WAY better than I expected... But it is sort of a rip off like everyone else ways saying, that even when you pay for ampkit+, you still need to buy more items. Buying this ampkit+ will really only unlock you a quarter of everything else they have to offer. So in conclusion, amazing app but it is so annoying that I have to keep paying money to unlock more and more stuff when we could just buy it all at once.

Brilliant App !. Bought this with the AmpKit Link, and have been having a terrific amount of fun with it! Great options, clear instructions, easy to use, what's not to love? I'm not a professional musician, so for my needs this is brilliant! Definitely recommend it.

Awesome. Super cool app. worth the money. i was confused by the App logo, it looked cheap, and I so never really gave it a try. However, after buying, it way beyond Amplitube in so many ways. This app is the app you have been looking for if you own an iOS device. I wish more pedals came with it, kind of lame that you pay $10 and only get a limited amount of pedals...either way....5 stars for getting it right!

I feel ripped off. Whats the point in recording if you can't transfer your recordings without moving a mountain? You can't email them in most cases because the file is too big. You can use sound cloud, but it costs more money. Too get all the features in this app - you will have to pay well over $80. I bought this thinking I'd get all the amps and peddles, Nope. They are kind of deceptive in the way the present this. The free app is practically the same as the $10 app.

Great amp collection and sound quality!. I go back and forth whether I prefer the amps in JamUp XT or AmpKit, but it doesn't have to be either/or. AmpKit has great full-sounding amp models and gives more freedom to mix and move effects. They also have great licensed amps from Peavey, Fargen, etc. Hope to see even more amps and effects for sale in the future. Works great for recording via AudioBus, too!

Finally!. Someone made a good one. This app rocks! Works for guitar and bass. Would be cool if they added a few more bass amps though. Tones are pretty accurate to the real thing!

Fantastic Ampsim!!!. Just got this app a couple hours ago and it's hard to put it down; the included amps and effects sound OUTSTANDING. The ONLY thing keeping it from 5 stars in my opinion is the ridiculously high price of additional purchases; knock the amps down to $2.99 and I'll buy all of them, maybe a nicely-priced combo package to make it complete with all available items. Knock those add-ons down and I revise my review to 5 stars... Yes, this app is THAT good!

Update anytime soon???. I am in love with this program I honestly like the sounds more than amplitube I sucked it up and purchased some good heads and was totally blown away the quality of the high gain is excellent great job agile! I would love to have a vht pittbull ul120 on this thing or an engl powerball if that's possible and a looper pedal would be great

Delete and then reinstall. Flyinjack, I hear your problem. Just delete your Ampkit app (also make sure which version yours is, Ampkit +, or just Ampkit), then reinstall...afterwards all you have to do after signing into iTunes to reinstall, is go to my gear and there then you will see "my purchases", and down below, "restore purchases"....voila! You're done!

bgl. AmpKit is a decent processor. It's not too noisy at all. It is extremely inexpensive, even when factoring in the Link and additional in-app purchases. - There is a need for a few additional models, such as a warm, clean tube amp, like a Mesa Boogie. It needs some more effects, like Vowel-Wah, parametric EQ, some additional pro reverb parameters and a studio compressor. All in all a decent processor.

All around excellence!. This is the easiest and best guitar app I've ever used, and the customer support is second to none. I had some questions about MIDI products and other iOS devices, they responded to every question, and they also offered possible solutions and suggestions. Would recommend this product to anyone that wants to experiment with different sounds, and for experienced rockers that just want an easy portable solution.

Expensive full iOS equipment. I bought this because of reviews and because of an affordable full Mac version. I bought all the iOS extra; price is much higher than Mac. Couldn't get myself to buy the amplink hd, I went with irig hd because of reviews of the originals.

Amazing. I was so skeptical that I would like & really use any of these sounds. But I was genuinely amazed. The sounds are so compelling I have used them on my latest recordings & even use the sounds live. I can't get over how much stuff is in this app. Every amp, every stomp box every popular mic, seems like $10,000. worth of stuff for the price of an app. Technology is a blast.

incredible potential. far and away the best headphone amp i have ever used. great tones, easy to use. can't wait for the iPad-optimised UI. and the potential for this app is staggering -- it'll be very ineresting to see where this technology goes. and the support is outstanding -- prompt, helpful and they act like you are doing them a favor by asking for support. it aint perfect (yet) but for me it absolutely blows away, say, the line 6 pocket pod for a fraction of the price (assuming you already have your not-so-cheap iDevice). last thing -- i also tried the iRig hardware and the LINK interface is better (and cheaper). both hardware devices work for both amplink and amplitube.

The Best on iOS. I have tried all the guitar amp apps and this one sounds the best. I ran them through headphones and through the effects return on an amp/cab (disabled the cab in the apps). Ampkit is really impressive! This won't replace my VH4 but for what it does it is amazing. Definitely better than a Pod, and convenient for practicing. Just two complaints. I don't see how to save my own preset. Looks like it only allows the factory presets. The "setups" are ok but I'd like to save presets also. And it would be better if the pedals are grouped by type rather than alphabetically. Delays, mods, overdrives, etc. Neither are dealbreakers. This app is the one to get. It sounds the best!

Ampkit+. This has ranked as the best birthday gift EVER! I got this home AND a gift certificate for the app and have not put it down. My 1983 Fender Strat came out of the case and has melted my fingers! Easy to use, GUI is simple to follow and intuitive. It was so simple to record and email to friends in my excitement what I had learned with full effects that it encourages playing guitar past your limitations! Great job, looking forward to playing many hours into the night and be sleepy eyed at work :) TT

Great App. After spending a great deal of time with the popular Guitar Amp apps, I made my decision to go with AmpKit+. This software lives up to all it’s claims. The Vintage Brit is dead on!!! LOVE IT. The ability to apply effects after the amp is awesome!!! For those of you who have latency issues… Watch the number of pedals your using. I’m using this on iPod Touch 4 with little to no latency issues with up to 6 pedals. Lots of cool sounds to be found with some knob time. Highly recommend it.

Great sound. I'll rate it 4/5. It should have been perfect but there's one flaw; of not being able to load tracks directly from your Ipod. Please update and take a note of this Agile. Thanks.

Great software, a musicians friend. Many of the interface cables being noisy, along with wrong gain settings are what cause most complaints I'm reading. Since I've several interface cables from quality components, I can enjoy the depth and breadth of AmpKit. I use it with an iPhone 4 and my son has an iPad 1. We both enjoy the variety of amps and stomp pedals. Yes, it's a bit difficult using on an iPhone because of the screen size but I have had no problems with the software.

Sweet. Love it. I bought the Peavey Ampkit Link HD today and have been noodling around all night. Sounds better than my Line 6 POD. Unfortunately it doesn't come with any bass cabs so I purchased those separately, but was happy with the results. Sounds great both bass and guitar. Combined with garage band and my phone is a functional little studio. Stoked.

Sounds great and looks great, some features missing. The new version is great, sounds great, looks great on iPad 3 retina display. The possibility to share setups works great. On the other hand I felt a lack of playback control of back tracks: pause, time bar, looping, velocity and maybe pitch. The reamp implementation is brilliant. Amplitube just added MIDI support that allows control of the presets while on stage using midi stomps. This is a must have for Ampkit.

The Best!. I love this app! I'm a working musician and run it on my IPad 2. I've had no problems with it. I use it with my PA and with a FOH system. The added effects are great and I love the multitask feature. If I need to read a score or lyrics, it's there for me. Kudos for a job week done! BTW, support is top notch. Bradley promptly answered my emails and was extremely helpful. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with Ampkit+, no matter what style of music you play!

AmpKit plus. Great tones! Pristine sound quality. Only disappointment is that you don't get an acoustic amp and a delay pedal with your purchase initial purchase. Otherwise…buy it and spend the extra 6 bucks to get what you want.

Great app!. I have come close to running the battery down using this app. It is great to make thousands of head/cabinet/pedal/mic combinations and being able to record to a click or to a preset drum beat. The only thing this app is lacking is to be able to record one track on the other and do a mix down. Maybe with the next software update?

In App purchase doesn't transfer. Been using this app on my iPhone. Really like it, but the phone is a little small to work with. Have made a bunch of in app purchases; I finally got an iPad and NONE of the in app purchased transferred to the iPad. Very LAME...while the Amps/Effects are far less expensive than the real deal...they still cost $$$. Will not be making any further in app purchases, as this just leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

Blows away the compitition. I was using the other iPad amps and was just getting totally frustrated with poor design, pop up ads, and bad sound. Ampkit+ with additions and user created and shareable setups is just awesome.

Ungodly tone.... I was kind of tentative about buying the app. But once I did, and I started playing around with it, I found the PERFECT Mesa boogie tone that you usually have to pay 5 grand for. There are a couple little things that I would like to be changed, but that being said, they have a place in the app to where you can send feedback of what you'd like to see in the later updates, which is awesome! All in all, 5 star app all the way

Almost unusable.. I was very excited to purchase this, as I travel extensively and usually take a electric guitar or bass with me. I immediately spent perhaps another $60 on various models and effects, wanting some versatility for different styles. After trying this extensively with multiple quality electrics and basses, I consider it a horrible waste of money. Sound quality is very poor whether over quality headphones or line out. Virtually every sound is thin and artificial sounding. Input gain always has to be dimed and still is too low. New models are slow to be released. Slight latency and occasional just odd sounds surface. This was true on my 3gs and now on my 4 as well. This is the first bad review I've given, and I'm pretty annoyed. A waste of $100 plus. Ampkit link will be sold and I'll delete this. Very disappointing.

Good sounds, pricey, but flexible. In app purchases are pricey, but can be used on multiple devices under the same appleID. One purchase can be used on all iOS devices. And you don't have to repurchase if you reload your iOS device.

Works with USB Dual Pre. I noticed on the Ampkit website that they will be releasing a digital input later this year, but I didn't want to wait. So, I purchased a ART USB Dual Pre Computer Interface. Works nicely with the Ampkit app. I plug the guitar into a Sidekick passive d.i. box and use its low z output to connect to the Dual Pre. It's a little extra money for equipment (about $110 for both boxes) but the sound is clean.

Please add Bluetooth audio output. I am very disappointed that I can't use my bluetooth headset with this app. There are already too many wires involved. Otherwise, it's a 5 star app. Good sounds and features. I recommend this for any guitarist with an iPhone.

Great sound, overpriced. First off, I have to say that this app features some of the best amp modeling out there. Unfortunately I feel as though there really isn't much offered through the paid version to justify the price. Only 4 amp models. And if you want the full featured app through purchasing the add ons you'll end up spending about $100. It was probably a stretch at $10, so I certainly can't recommend spending the current $20 price tag for what I feel is a minimal upgrade over the free version.

Incredible!!!. What's not to like? Works great with powered monitors and PAs. Also works great with super clean amps like a Roland JC120. The amp models are as good as it gets as are the effects. The recording part is good. A little sparse but still good. The beauty is its live ability. The tones are so good. The only things that need to be added are more amps and more effects. Keep the updates constant and continuous. The biggest thing needed is a foot controller. With that I would use AmpKit for everything. Excellent!!!

Metal tone. Can someone please help me out w| a good metal tone? i want to get a early metallica tone but i cannot make that sound. i keep spending money on the other amps/pedals and i feel like im wasting my money

A million times better with my new guitar!. So I got a guitar with active humbuckers and now i have no issues with feedback and I can crack it as much as I want! When playing metal with this with a guitar with passive pickups it is a bit of a pain but eventually you can get a great sound but with active pickups this is the best app in the world. If you play clean then this should be your favorite app even without that!

Ampkit +. When I heard of Ampkit + I was so amazed on how the technology of the app worked with an electric guitar. I purchased all of the amps and pedal and it was worth it. There are many combinations you can create. By Playing your electric, acoustic or base guitar, you can create a genre of music. I give this app a 5/5. Agile partners keep up the good work.

Well Done. Like all the products from agile partners, this represents the best of IOS programming. Great tool for experiencing different equipment sounds without becoming a slave to GAS.

Awesome. Amazing app. Must buy. But the price is outrageous. Need to lower the price or make more bundle packs and make everything 99 cents

Keep up the Good Work!. I love this app. I'm actually using my irig for this. I've found ampkit to be a bit more high quality than amplitube. Keep up the excellent work and I'll keep spending my money here. Oh yeah sometimes theres nasty feedback switching to lead.
