Ruined by ads and repetitive info. I echo the same observations as most recent reviewers... I used to use this app and read the news regularly. The articles were always a bit annoying due to the same info being repeated 3-4 times in the synopsis, under photos, and in the article itself — but at least the app was usable. Suddenly it’s become completely unusable due to a wonky interface and a tidal wave of ads. Clicking on any article no longer opens the article itself, but takes you to a second Newzit page where you have to scroll again to find your article headline — all while being besieged by popup ads that continuously refresh the screen, knocking you out of place while reading. I’ve had enough — I’ve deleted the app and will never again bother with the site.

BIASED AS PHUCK!. This website is full of fake journalist who has a writing educational level of a 3rd grader. Their headlines are always racially charged to invoke anger and will take a news story that has nothing to do with race and turn it into what they need to fit their agenda. They claim to have "news" stories that are not news at all and have nothing to do with anything. If your comments on their articles don't fit their agendas they don't post them. They put their own personal opinions and claim them to be facts, or they just put whatever they think will get people's attention, such as making a generative racially charged article. They have no real "sources" to anything they write and literally just make stuff up as they go, without proofreading and sometimes even literally just copy the same paragraphs over and over to take up space on the page. These people are a joke who think they know everything about America yet are based in Europe.

Miserable pop-up interference. It is so unbelievably frustrating that thus app allows constant harassment of pop-up for their viewers. It started that they would pop up and you could immediately close them. Then you had to wait 5 seconds to be allowed to close. Just now it was 25 seconds and they are popping up every 30 seconds or so. It’s just miserable when you are trying to read an article and it is constantly being broken up. The thing I find incredible is that any of these marketing “professionals” think you will actually purchase these stupid games! I would never even consider it, no matter how appealing they may be, because of the way they are being shoved down our throats. Idiots! It’s too bad because the content is timely and excellent.

Use to the 1 stop news shop until the adds. This app use to be the absolute best ever until they put all of the pop up adds on it. You can’t click on pictures without at least 4 pop up adds interrupting your screen. Which your forced to watch and wait until their done playing before you can even close them out. Most times there’s no X and if there is you can access it until you watch the add. I find myself closing the screen more than I do open it and I use to be in this site all the time. It’s a shame they allowed pop up adds to completely take over their site! Don’t waste your time it’ll just irritate you and waste your time because you won’t even be able to fully see any of the pictures without being interrupted and irritated a hundred times!!!!

Content often suspect, but app is down right annoying.. While Mail online content is often suspect as they draw from many different sources and rarely fact check they do have a good round up of the news which I then check against more reliable sources. And don’t ever expect the articles to be written with good English. The main reason I’m giving this app a low rating is for the constant advertisements that they throw at you. They are highly annoying. Videos pop up and Banner ads pop up constantly interfering with the reading of the material in the app. While I’ve been able to block the majority of these annoying ads on my home computer I am unable to do so on my iPad and iPhone. Furthermore the app constantly freezes on me. At first I thought it was because my phone is about four years old, but I have a new iPad and the app still freezes on there. I’m constantly deleting and reinstalling it. Just going to give up with it on the smart phone and the iPad and just going to read it on the computer.

This is 80% ads, with bits of poorly edited copy in between. I stopped reading online and switched to the App (which DM pushed readers to do) because the online site was perpetually susceptible to bugs and page detour traps. The App loads easily, but the Ads are out of hand. The upper and lower ads cover 80 percent on my phone viewing screen. This obscures the articles to the point you can’t read the stories and goodness help you trying to find a way to click back or if you accidentally touch one of these ads trying to escape. The paper’s editing and proofing has been poor since they developed the app, but the ads are the final straw. Get your act together, DM. You get the news so quickly but you screw up the easy part of the reporting. I would pay to remove the ads but then I’d be really mad if you didn’t start trying harder to be s better quality product.

Good news app, though lots of typos and repetitive wording. This is one of my few go to daily news apps and I check it multiple times a day. Great variety of stories including many I see here before they show up on other sites. So it is great to have and I recommend downloading it. On the negative side, many articles seem to be hastily or automatically generated, or dictated with transcription errors. They are full of sloppy language errors, unclear references, and the same sentences repeated multiple times in the same article. Also, videos often load very slowly so there can be a long wait before they start - even for very short videos.

Take note, editors. Variety of stories is interesting and entertaining. Facts are not always prioritized as highly as they should be. Writers appear to have limited knowledge of content , for example, describing an actor with a recent affiliation rather than what he has been known for. Headlines are way too inflammatory. Best news app for photos and details surrounding a news worthy event. Worst thing is adding content onto an existing story and not updating prior content. For example, the story was updated to say someone has died, but lower paragraphs still say the person is in critical condition in the hospital.

No longer my favorite news app. I usually use this app several times a day to read my news. Not any more. One of my favorite parts about this app was flipping through an articles images once I finished reading. For a couple of weeks now, loud 30 second adds pop up every couple of images that I flip through. Part of my evening routine was reading my news on MailOnline while putting down my 2 year old, but those obnoxious loud advertisements pop up out of the blue and scare the bejeezus out of her and I every 2 minutes. Not to mention that even if you exit out of ad, the loud sound continues to play for up to 15 seconds sometimes. Kind of a huge bummer.

Good. I enjoy getting my news from DM since they include around the world issues but the only draw back is that they clearly are not objective when it comes to certain people and it shows in their headlines. They obviously hate Republicans & a few celebrities. It would be nice to read news where the headlines and stories were more objective then reading the story and knowing the writer does or doesn’t like the person. They get news at fast as well but need to take more time editing the content since so many errors are found & relying to much on “sources” instead of facts. But no news media is perfect but find I like DM the best.

Used to be my favorite, uninstalled it. I used to love this app however now the app is force feeding me video ads every 3 seconds. I uninstalled because that’s crap. This is garbage now. I could deal with the poor editing and simple spelling errors but video ads so often I can’t even read the article...pointless and obnoxious Edit: I tried to get the app again because I enjoy the stories. how did this get worse? Now I am force fed a noisy and LONG ad for garbage games every three seconds. It’s not even worth it. I’m uninstalling for good. Apple news will work for me I guess. I’d rather pay for a subscription than have ads shoved down my throat ever couple of seconds. Get it together.

The Ads are Killing Me!. This app use to be awesome! The Daily Mail reports many U.S.-based news stories before the mainstream media in this country does. But I’m about two minutes from pulling the plug on this app due to the ads. I get it. They need to make money. But the ads have become so annoying they that dramatically detract from the app. And many times you are forced to watch a 2-3 minute video ad just to see the 20 second clip the story is about. I can hardly take it anymore! And now they have video ads just pop up for apparently no reason at all. They need to get their act together or they will lose a lot of their audience.

All they do is divide people. No news. They moderate the comments to the point of causing them to lean left most of the time. They must really think people are stupid. Every article is about who did something wrong. They should also include na na na na in the middle of articles. Can you imagine how popular they would be if they actually reported real news and not to just spew lies and hate? It’s so shameful to the British that they allow this propaganda garbage around the world. Lastly, the folks who work there must be extremely bitter inside to write only hateful and spiteful articles. Is it really worth it? Today, I down vitrr something and it immediately was erased. I copied and pasted the url to an different browser and down voted again. Guess what. They erased it in the spot. They don’t even care if you know they moderate vote counts. It’s so funny to see these kids moderating the comments to their view faster than the comments are coming in. It’s easy to spot. They must think their readers are stupid.

Technical issues in late 2019 are now corrected. Hangs and crashes that were seen starting in September 2019 have now been corrected. With its relatively high-res photos, and great comments boards, this is my go-to news source. Yes, there are still some technical issues, such as de threading in the comments if you post replies from your profile instead of from the article, and the Daily Mail is well-known for its typographic errors. But really, it is all wonderful. And almost unbiased. Almost.

Farewell old friend.... Recent changes to the experience in the app have me saying “Bon voyage!”. Let me start with how much I loved this app. I used it every day, checked it morning noon and night for updates. However, I recent noticed how poor quality the app really is. You have to press the ‘X’ several times when trying to close an ad, and I mean SEVERAL. The ads they make you watch before seeing a video won’t load, which in turn means your video doesn’t load. THE WORST PART OF THIS APP is the most recent changes where scrolling through stories they force video ad to open up, taking over your entire screen. You close the video, barely scroll any and POOF it opens again... yeah not putting up with that. Not worth it. Hopefully for the sake of other users they will fix these issues, otherwise they will lose more viewers, such as myself.

Was pretty good....no longer. When I first started reading the Daily Mail, it was informative and fair and always something interesting to read about. The comments section was always one of my favorite parts of the publication. Different views and discussions. In the past few years it has turned into a leftist biased site that no longer seems to give the reader the facts and allow the reader to make their own opinions. Certain articles are moderated with total predictability and others, anything goes. Just no longer fun to read with such biased angles. Nothing ever stays the same and the fun has left this app. DM...you can’t moderate these comments.

Annoying Ads. I love the app but get frustrated with some of your game ads that purposely freeze the time and do not allow you to close them, forcing me to have to close out the app completely and hope that the article that I was previously reading is still available. Please remove ads that are not working properly so that we are able to better enjoy the app. I recently had some issues with the app crashing after viewing a video via the app so I deleted the app and redownloaded it and have been unable to log back into my account even though my credentials are saved in my phone. App support was unable to give me any assistance in resolving the issue.

Too many ads!. I have read Daily Mail online for many years. I have had the app on my phone for a few years as well. They now have ads that pop up and take over the screen while you are swiping through the photos of each article. It used to be every few articles would have one ad. Now it seems that almost every article has at least one ad, but I have had 4 pop up in one story. The latest ad for one of those stupid games won’t let you close it until you have watched the entire thing which is close to a full minute. I’m fed up with having to close the app and reopen it to get back to the articles. I’m uninstalling the app now and will move on to something else.

Ads make it impossible to read any article.. This is the only news app I have that produces this many trashy articles that last for minutes to the point where I am actually frustrated. I am unable to finish one article. Which is now forcing me to delete this app. I was actually excited to have it when I downloaded it only to find out it was going to be completely- and I mean completely over spammed with ads. I even paused this review to delete it, it’s that unusable. Unfortunate but no one has time for that in today’s world where we must stay informed on what is going on in this world. To give a recent example, the mass school shooting in Texas. Horrible, sickening, and truly heartbreaking, however it is news. News should be accessible to all. Now do you see how silly these ads are?

Forever The Best News App!!!. I’ve been a DM app reader for 10 years now! Tons and tons of stories, photos, and videos. You could sit for hours reading the news every day on this app. And the comments section is incredible. I like that you never know what to expect there and seems to be an even mix of political views among the users. This paper reports on many political stories that USA networks censor. At the same time, they don’t let either side off easy! I love the sections of US news, world news, Hollywood, womens interest, etc. This app will keep you constantly informed and entertained!

Ridiculous pop up ads. As others have stated, there are pop up video ads no matter what you are viewing and they repeat over and over. Sometimes seconds apart. Making it impossible to read anything at all. Even if you finish watching the ad, another is right behind it or it repeats. Broken. Also, yes they do moderate the comments...Heavily. And as others have also said it is based around censoring viewpoints, not content. I’ve tested this over years. The news is generally faster than other outlets and it’s presented well if it weren’t for the ads. The writing is always flawed but whatever. If these ads continue I’m out. It’s just way too much.

Comments. Enjoy the app read it all the time. I find your new stories are very timely, interesting, and you cover a lot of different topics and definitely significantly better than the useless Apple app, which is extremely liberal, you guys are as well but not nearly as one-sided and you do cover all the stories for the most part. It’s a news app we’ve learned that there’s nothing you can do about reporters who almost always lean left. My wife just started using it as well. Just be fair, it is all we ask!!

Mixed experience. I’m fine to simply ignore the rightist political content, but it is maddening to get 2/3 of the way into a story, scroll a bit further down and find myself abruptly launched into the next story. Somebody fix this! The reader should be able to scroll without being swiped to over the next story. If I want to read the next story I can click on the vertical feed to the right of the page, so the swipe feature is redundant. I sometimes have to return to the story I wanted to read 4 or 5 times before getting to finish it. Frustrating. And I don’t want to share my location, and I’m a bit tired of all the Kardashian content.

An unavoidable dumpster fire. The app brings news from around the world at lightning speed, and provides perspectives that are interesting even if I don't agree with them. The focus on the Royals is relentless. One must suspend any hope for proper grammar or lack of misspellings, because the focus is on quantity, not quality. Sometimes full sections of an article are repeated later on in the article, just to fill up space. The app itself is continually littered with bugs. Every release brings major UI problem, such as freezing, duplicated items, blank spaces, crashes, etc. Yet I use this app several times every day.

Ads...ads...ads...🤯😡. I get it. You need ads to make additional money for your company but come on. I have to close and open the app for it to be useful. It’s annoying when you just want to read the “news” and sip some “coffee” in the morning. I only have 2 stars because of the content. Please give us a break on the ads. You have enough on your website. Btw it has to load 50+ ads if you don’t have an adblocker. Which they’ve now blocked browsing the site if you have it enabled. There’s always something running in the background. If you want people to use your app and view your site, give us a break on the ads. I hate myself for making this next statement.... or make it a .99 subscription for ad free content (ducking all the stones being thrown🤷🏾‍♀️🙍🏾‍♀️) At least we’d get to view something in peace.

Lots of content, poor writing. So, DM is a rag. Plenty of freshly uploaded content, but I’m convinced that the articles are written by non-English speakers; I would even guess the words are recorded and then transcribed by a non-English speaker, because typos, poor grammar and words inserted without proper context are common. I doubt articles are proofread, but if I happen to read a well-written article, I’m sure to mention it in the comments. If you’re looking for pictures of awards shows or the royal family, DM does a pretty good job there. What annoys me about their picture captions is that it’s the exact same verbiage in the article, with the same typos and incorrect wording. Often, you don’t have to read the article; flip through the pictures and read the captions. Another annoying aspect of the site is that videos start playing on the lower right if you scroll past it. I’ve tried looking for an opt-out feature, to no avail. If an article has several videos, I’m always clicking the X as I scroll to make it go away. Bloody annoying. Stop forcing this feature!!! Don’t take any information you read on DM as gospel. If you see an intriguing headline, get the gist from DM and go to a reputable news site for confirmation.

My #1 Go TO App. Want to be the smartest person in the room? Want to appear like you are worldly and know what is going on in the world & nation? Download this app now!! You won’t regret it. This is by far my favorite app! I check it at least a few times a day. I get world and national news 8 hours before anyone I know including my father who super smart. He is up way earlier than me, reading many different news sites online and newspapers while listening to a podcast and watching the news and yet I still get important news a good 8 hours before he does because of this new app! I just wait until later in the day for him to read “breaking news” and want to discuss it which I already knew hours ago all bc of this app. It is worth it to look pass the grammatical errors and repeating sentences, because the Golden news nugget is buried between these minor issues.

You guys race bait… Terrible!!!!. You seem to promote a significant number of articles promoting white anger. From Critical Race Theory to articles saying whites should be eliminated to articles promoting a democratic effort to encourage immigration votes to sway elections to articles about confederate monuments…. This list of articles is as long as the space available on the web app to show any articles. I know that chaos sells, but to promote chaos is borderline criminal. There are far more instances of love and harmony in the world than the ratio of poor race-baiting reporting that you guys promote. I would have to assume the editors of this site have some deep seated insecurities about themselves to continue to clear these articles. Or, God forbid, they are evil and want to see people die. No one can deny the cruel and murderous history of America, but there is no plot being planned to eliminate white people. There are however efforts to live in a more just society, valuing each and every life with the same love and concern. I would ask that you stop race-baiting, and start highlighting more love and paying more attention to articles highlighting those who are fighting against a more just and loving society/county. God bless the USA.

The ads are a problem. I like daily mail as they often have information available quickly. I also use other news sites but I do enjoy the layout of their app. Lately, I close it as quick as I open it because the ads are so inconvenient. I don’t want to watch a 15-30 second Ad just to watch a quick clip. I get my news in between doing other things and I would like to be able to do it without wasting time watching a countdown between photos. I like the app but I am now trying out others to use and will likely delete it when I decide on another.

Too many ads and pop ups. I originally have this app 4 stars; I loved it. There may have been one pop up every now and then, but you could close it right away and get on with browsing the articles and pics. But lately there have been so many game ads popping up that u have to watch before you can close. It’s really irritating. You can’t read an article without getting one every 15-20 seconds. It’s so annoying that I don’t finish the article and just close the app. It’s the same few video ads over and over and over. I could overlook the inaccuracies in articles before but it’s just not worth it with all of the pop up video ads.

Pleasantly Surprised. So, I had never even seen the daily mail prior to downloading the app. I downloaded all the news apps I could find. I wanted to see what had interesting content as well as informative. Daily mail is now my go to news site because they have the political news mixed with the salacious news stories you cannot find anywhere else. All the stories are highly, highly detailed and comprehensive often with videos and always with probably more pictures than you need, although I appreciate them as they help to put you inside the story. This might be my second online review. I wish I didn’t like the daily mail and it was the Wall Street journal I liked better so I sound more sophisticated, but not so... anyway. Just go to the website, check out both the UK and Us sections... oh and us citizens, vote in Nov (regardless of your political leaning go vote).

Get More News!. The U.S. version of the Daily Mail online often provides both American and international news that I don’t see elsewhere. In addition, stories are updated quickly and it’s often the best source for breaking news details. The comments are my favorite! They frequently number in the thousands on popular articles and reveal a wide array of strong opinions. One word of caution: If you are a Grammar Queen or King, the DM can be exasperating! They have actually improved, but some articles are still rife with errors. Try the DM for a week or two. I think you’ll enjoy it!

What happened?. I used to love DailyMail, but the omnipresent & intrusive pop up ads were the deal breaker. I deleted the app & the web version is even worse. Also, they have an inscrutable filtering practice for comments. Most comments are never posted & the interface on the app offers you no easy way to see your posted comments or revisit then & only occasionally would I get emails that someone had replied to a post, but the link takes you to the story header not the comment. I’m not going to sift through 1,000 comments to find mine. Anyway, it’s far more entertaining for me to get my news on other online sources with better interfaces & tremendously more subtle ads. Too bad. Despite the appalling lack of journalistic standards in writing, spelling & editing for clarity, I still did find DM worth it for a time. No longer. *App Happily Deleted*

Getting comments posted. For some reason my fairly conservative comments rarely get published by the DM. Why is it, as a regular reader/ commenter, that I see the same people’s comments get posted for different stories, sometimes multiple times for the same story, and mine are not. Is this woke “journalism”, or you don’t like my account name? It certainly isn’t the content of my posts, as I see some very offensive, even threatening posters constantly appearing on this site. There is one poster in particular who says he’s from “Spain”;comments in all capital letters and challenges fellow posters to give out there addresses so he can “deal” with them in person if he doesn’t like that they challenge or down vote his comments! What’s the deal?!?!

Still redundant commercials!!. After I posted a year ago that they have redundant 30 second commercials you would think they would have fixed it. Especially since I know that many many others have posted the same thing. I don’t want to watch the same 30 second clip 20x while trying to read the news. And it is appalling to have a 30 second video trying to sell you something before you watch a video of a crime, victims or accidents. I can’t believe you are trying to make money off of those things. It’s really sad. I will never buy the product of the video I have to watch over and over and over. It’s a waste for BOTH of us!! Ughhh. I used to love this app. And now it dos not my fave. Which is really sad. And I’m also tired of reading one sided news. I definitely know who this app stands behind and who it doesn’t. And I wish it was just NEUTRAL!! But good luck finding that anywhere!! Frustrated big time!!!

Ridiculous Pop-up Ads, Poor English. I was able to overlook the absurdly poor English, assuming that most articles were hastily written by wannabe journalists or that Daily Mail was unable to employ a competent editor. 60% of the content was interesting news, and 40% was rubbish gossip. I typically opened the app once or twice a day to check headlines and browse stories. However, DM recent implemented pop-up video ads that occur so frequently that one cannot complete a single paragraph. I attempted to overlook this annoyance (free news app and all), but gave up after several days. It seems that someone at DM is intentionally sabotaging the app and user experience. I have deleted this app, and don’t plan to reinstall.

DM: You Just Lost a Daily Reader. I’m Deleting this App.. I love DM, and I’ve commented on many articles throughout the years. Yet, today is the 2nd time, in about a month, I have been banned (for life) from commenting with no explanation given, whatsoever. I can be opinionated, but I do not curse, or personally insult others. I see many commenters get away with offenses like these all the time, btw. I’m done. This is a stupid move on their part, as they really were my favorite online paper. I checked this app regularly, everyday. NO MORE. I’m deleting it. I encourage anyone else who is against the recent rise of censorship, in Western nations, to do the same. The moderators must not like my politics. That’s been getting people banned from various platforms. I’m not one-sided. In fact, I’m very open-minded, but I am Libertarian. This is still too far right (I guess)? #StopTheBias

Barely literate. The writers at this are semi-literate, the commenting section is impossible- this feels like an app in development, it’s pretty bad. Most things just throw error comments, even though I’ve had an account for this over a year, I’ve still never been able to make a single comment. It throws error messages constantly, whether trying to make changes to my account or even post a comment- error, error, and more error messages. I’ve also run across about a gazillion errors in the writing- their reporters & photographers cannot seem to get their act together with captions for pics constantly mismatched. All in all, this needs a ton of work to fix it. I do reas ig but laugh at how awful common spelling errors and grammar screwups surface. It’s actually pretty bad.

Addicting. I like the format where I can look at pics and read everything I need to know right under it. Also, doesnt seem to be too politically motivated or full of fake news. They do jump on the Trump bashing trupé tho. You will see all the crazy shti that happens everyday though. Promise you that. Tragedy after tragedy, but they just report it. People, please start taking care of and listening to your kids. All kids. And, think about what all of this unrest, bickering, and violence does to a young brain.

Used to be great. I used to love this app, I opened it first thing in the morning and again in the evening when it would update. What is going on with these pop up videos though? They make it impossible to read an article as three will pop up at a time and when you exit out they just pop up again. I mean you CANNOT read anything in here anymore the app seriously doesn’t work. It is so frustrating. They pop up whether you watch the whole thing or click out immediately. It’s become completely unusable. Before all that happened though I loved daily mail. The grammar and actual content is pretty bad, but they break stories before anyone else and have pictures most others can’t seem to get. I barely read the articles, because they’ll post the same one literally verbatim everyday. However if you just skim through the title and bullet points and a few pictures you’ll get the jist of what’s going on. If they could fix whatever is going on with their ads I would give a better rating but this bug is ridiculous.

Daily FAIL can’t handle the TRUTH. Finally decided to delete the DM. Getting a message that my comment was removed because of the "number of complaints" is an absolute lie. Didn't insult or use abusive language. All I did is call out the Daily Fail on the fact that they push the narrative into hating Meghan for a massive amount of comments—7k on this particular article. I have read so many hateful and disgusting comments, yet mine gets removed?! I also stated that Diana and Kate have worn expensive outfits from designers and price tags were never pointed out. Yet it's done to Meghan constantly! That's why I feel that this rag pushes the hate towards her. And they also pick and choose what comments they post. GOODBYE!!

Too many pop up ads. I’ve had this app for a few years now and I used to really love it. Yes, there were plenty of editing errors within the articles but nothing you couldn’t overlook. What’s the absolute worst, which is fairly new, are all the pop up ads. They really are unbearable. Pop up ads can be expected but these are over the top, way too frequent, and too long. They are also often difficult to “X” out of. I really wish DM would rethink their advertising strategy because I won’t be able to take much more.

Ridiculous pop ups. I read the Daily Mail for entertaining myself. They do get stories on everything quickly, which is great. That said, the articles are always poorly written. Paraphrased multiple times. It’s like reading the same thing 6 or 7 times followed by dame info in the blue box. I guess the writers went to a school of repeats. Then you have the names and spelling incorrect throughout the articles. My job is to spot as many problems per article. That’s the fun part! The annoying pop ups every few seconds has left me to stop reading. Why? Because you can’t read a single article. Fix it quickly please. There is no fix on this end on a mobile device.

DM app is very flawed; now it freezes up.. I read DM almost every day. This latest build is the buggiest yet. It freezes every few minutes, and the only way to break the freeze is to quit the app, turn off the phone, and try again. Just quitting the app doesn’t do it because it doesn’t actually quit. No other app I have ever used is as buggy as the Daily Mail app. I wish they’d fix this, because they really do get the latest news (faster than my hometown news app, sometimes by days) and mix in interesting articles on the main page, with links to categories like Science.

Mail on Line is invaluable. This is a website where you can stay informed on so many diverse topics worldwide. Ive seen so many stories on the morning news hours after I’ve already read it on Mail On Line! Also the educational information and the choices of areas are truly something worthy of your time. I’ve recommended this site to many people — who now are daily readers

A Bug I cannot get rid of!. As I am navigating around the Mail on Line all of a sudden a drumming noise starts, sounds like an audio from a video maybe? I have contacted DM and uninstalled and reinstalled, Closed the phone completely, cleared the cache. If I navigate back to the main page it stops but if I click on an article I start reading and boom! this audio drumming starts again. Normally I love DM but this makes it so annoying I cannot read the articles! HELP!! I re-rated back up to 4 ⭐️ as the bug as finally disappeared. Back to one star as it just happened again! No one has gotten back to me a out this. Interestingly when the whoosh noise followed by drumming started again when I pulled down the page and held it as it was loading then it stopped but something is wrong and it is very annoying. Does not happen on my Samsung tablet Back to 2 stars as someone finally replied and it has not happened yet today. This has only started since installing ios 16.1

Ads & grammatical errors. It’s getting very frustrating to swipe through photos and have ads pop up every few seconds - now they even show up back to back. There is no option to have a paid subscription to make the ads go away. The app itself generally functions fine but I would love for their editors to show up to work and actually proofread articles before publishing them. They make blatant errors on a regular basis which distracts from the content.

Stolen minutes of my life.... The news is good, only if you don’t care about editing. Sometimes the stories could use a little more substance and the writing could actually be done by journalists instead of what seems like elementary students. The ads are the worst though. The Newzit ads that they sold out to, are trashy and you see them in every article. Images pop up that I wouldn’t want my kids to see. It’s clear that the DM has no standards. Their regular ads are inconvenient and noisy as well. You might be really into a touching news story, and while you scroll through the pictures some loud video selling some irrelevant product pop up. And when you try to hit the “x” to close it, it’s only a fake one, so it takes you to the website instead. So much for the story you were reading. At this point you just want to throw your phone against the wall out of frustration. Why do I use the app? It used to be good. Everyday I hold on to the dream that the DM will return to their ideals and create journalism that changes us as a society for the better. Not just click-bate stories that are inconclusive and speculative at best.

Used to be the best! Keeps freezing up!!. PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!! It is mind blowing that the DM would allow for this terrible functioning of an app to be available with as many readers as they have. I can’t go 15 secs into an article without it totally freezing up. I then have to shut it down completely & then reopen. Most of the time it freezes while scrolling through the articles after that. This has been going on for MONTHS!!!! I have not seen a single update for this app. I keep hoping an update pops up when I go to the App Store but alas, I’m disappointed every time. As an American, I love the DM because they report on things that are not reported on in the US. I just wish they would get their crap together & FIX THE APP!!!!! Surely it wouldn’t take much to get this issue resolved. They’re upsetting a great number of their readers with this!!!

DM writers need remedial journalism courses.. DM strongest point is the wide diversity of topics and countries it attempts to cover. It’s weakest point is that the articles and stories lack specific cites to authoritative sources. In many instances, vague and generalized sources are used for information within the stories. Without specificity, the stories are little more than propaganda or whack jobs. The general thrust of the stories indicate DM has its own agenda independent of the stories themselves. This makes DM little better than a supermarket tabloid. Because of this, I don’t trust DM for truthful and balanced reporting. The writing is weak. Misspellings frequently occur. Incomplete sentences and sentence fragments are common. Further, subject-verb agreement mistakes are also common. Misuse of words such as affect and effect occur regularly. Stories don’t flow in a logical sequence but instead tend toward being “choppy.” In sum, the artwork is good and the writing is bad. Clearly, you have good paparazzis working for you. However, you need to fire your current writers and find new ones.

Unfortunately….. Unfortunately had to delete the current version of the app. The ads have become too disruptive, to point of making it unusable. Too consistent. And video ads interrupting basics like scrolling headlines. Causing to freeze also (have a new iPhone, so a not a hardware problem).

Whyyyyy. I cannot stand the ridiculous amounts of ads. I have no clear indication on how to pay to get rid of them. Seems like you’re money hungry to include multiple 1 minute advertisements in a quick story or 10 pictures. Also, the app refreshes to the top when I’m scrolling the articles and while reading them. Annoying!!!!

Annoying feature. I don’t mind this app in general but I get really annoyed when I am reading an article and then it decides to go to the next article. It happens all the time - so it appears to be deliberate (maybe for more views??) If this is the case, it’s wrong and misleading to companies who choose to advertise with DM as data shows more clicks than it should.

Another app that has become advert hungry.... I understand the need for adverts however the app is now unusable. It is such an unpleasant experience that multiple times adverts appears when scrolling through a single set of photos on a news article. I check the news multiple times a day and can’t cope anymore. Bye Mail Online!

Too had to actually read an article. Just downloaded this app today. I have tried to read 3 articles and it was impossible. It keeps redirecting to ads. I understand you need adverts to pay the bills but the readers have to be able to read the articles. Very disappointing.

Forced to choose between a terrible format or a website so unstable it crashes every two minutes.. The good thing about the Daily Mails normal homepage is that it looks and reads like a newspaper, with different subjects mixed in together. The app is articles bunched together in an annoying way like an archive or something. The reader comments and the fact that they allow comments on a wide range of subjects was the best bit about Daily Mail, but I’ve noticed lately that it’s become much more PC, making it annoyingly like all the other news media out there. The webpage allows you to see your profile and your previous comments, and gathered all your comments together so you can see if people agree or disagree with you. That is completely lacking on the app. On the app, if you want to see how a comment was received you have to scroll through sometimes literally thousands of other comments to find yours.... in short, Daily Mail is a newspaper. Why not make the app look and read like a newspaper? Free hint.

Stories freeze. Please fix the issue on certain articles, it freezes on that page and I have to download the app again on my iPad, otherwise a good site.

Frustrating. I am a great fan. However the new comments sites are awful. They look awful, I like to see where the comments come from eg what country. They constantly freeze and I have leave and come back again. I like the old comments that are still being used for anything that is not entertainment.

Issue with Ads popping up. In the last week I am constantly getting ads/apps pop up while I’m reading an article. I understand you have ads in your feed but when they pop up with me clicking into them that is intrusive. The pop does not go away it continues to pop up until I shut down your app

Advertising is the priority. Looks like they have added a feature that diverts you to the App Store about 8 times per article which makes it impossible to read an article without being interrupted. Also, the journalists are lazy and the articles often include spelling and grammar mistakes. Will be deleting this app.

Ads. The ads destroy this app. Constant pop ups, video clips, side ads. Getting in the way of news articles, take you to pages you don’t want to go, the news articles disappear or fail to load. Fix it already. Extremely annoying and is turning viewers away in droves.

The pop up adds lock you out of the app. When you looks at a picture or Video usually a 30 second pop up ad comes up and locks me right out of the app. I have to delete and re-download the app to get back to the articles!

Videos are unwatchable now. Because of the stupid ads that now come up when a clip is played this site I has gone from good to terrible. Because you cannot click past them. I get this stupid French game ad of water going down a drain for 30 seconds ten times a day. Remove the ads. Your videos were a highlight now unusable.

Don’t waste your battery. Terribly cumbersome app littered with pop ups that are designed to get around ad block soft ware. The content is garbage with glaring spelling and grammatical errors even after it’s been ripped off from proper news sites.

Too many pop up ads and spelling/grammatical errors. Whilst I like the ability to view local and world wide news, I find the pop ups incredibly frustrating and inappropriate. Ie reading about a DV related murder and a gambling ad pops up. I don’t play games, so the game ads are super annoying. Also the grammatical and spelling errors are rookie are best

Latest Version Just as Flakey As The Last One. This latest version of the app is supposed to contain bug fixes however I’m still having to kill the app almost every other day because it freezes in the Conversation screen. Fix the key issues. Do better.

Constantly freezing. If you go to read the comments the app freezes and you can’t get back to the article so constantly having to close app. Can’t add comments either

My favourite app but please stop crashing. This is the second time I have had to install it as app just crashes. Remove the ads to they come on sometimes so easily and you can’t turn the sound off. So annoying.

Moderation. The moderators who work on this publication are far too partisan, it’s supposed to be a commentary section but if you are constructively critical of Republicans or Mr DJT, you have zero chance of the comment being published. You are going to need to follow Elon Musk and open the comments section up to people who are critical of others, it won’t physically hurt you and those you are protecting probably don’t care either way.

Up to date news. Always the best for current news

OK, Still Needs Improvement. We all know and love the Daily Mail so this review is purely based on the app’s performance. This is an adequate app, but it is starting to feel dated and in need of a facelift and a few streamlines. For one, any app in 2021 should be able to switch from dark to light mode based on the phone’s system, having to do it manually is such a pain, especially when the bright white comes and nearly burns your eyes out in a dark room at night. Also, the whole Topics and Channels system is really clunky. It would be so much more pleasant and quick to just have a scrolling feed, where articles and pictures from each followed channel/topic come up one after the other, instead of having to navigate to a dedicated channel for each subject. I want to effortlessly see all the news I want to see as soon as I open the app, not have to hunt for it. Lastly, some of the topics and channels are clearly outdated, such as events from 2018 and celebrities who have since remarried and have a new name etc., please fix all the above and it will be a perfect news app.

Miss Lyons. I love Mail Online in keeps me up to date with most of the news that I am interested in. Please try and print the open letter to Prince William that was printed in Daily Mail it needs as much exposure as possible. I’m sure you will see why.

Crash. Since the last update, the app constantly crashes after a few minutes of reading.

Very basic journalism skills required to get a job with the DM. I don’t think you could even call the writers at the DM journalists. Most of them are social media stalkers who stalk someone’s Instagram page and rewrite their posts as ‘news’. Even then the article is often full of spelling and grammatical mistakes and is repetitive. I have also noticed that text is often covered up by a photo, thereby making it unreadable. I’ve also learned to never click on a photo unless I want to see a 30 second ad.

13yr old journalists staff the Daily Mail. Zero proof reading is done on the stories before they are published suggesting they are penned by thirteen year olds. Grammar and spelling is non existent. The non stop pop up advertising is littered throughout the app so much so that I don’t even bother to watch a video linked to a story, I go find the video elsewhere to view if I’m that keen. I do enjoy it for the commenting section which is more fun and interesting than the stories themselves, probably only thing that keeps this app from dying off.

Unusable. Constant glitching and freezing. Especially on their new “conversation” pages. Drains battery. The daily mail seems to employ journalists who can’t write, spell or manage punctuation and news items (if you can call them that)must have bikini clad girls when ever possible whilst at the same time calling for diversity and equality

Not working lately. My app not working. It keeps jumping to the same story over and over again. I deleted the app then re installed it again and it’s doing the same thing. I have had to go on the google version to look at stories.

Please give us an ad free version!. I love daily mail but really REALLY dislike all the ads. I usually read it while in bed, so the ads really ruin the experience. I'd pay for an ad free version - please give us an option! I've had the ap for over 5 years now, and to compare then and now is ridiculous. I can't even read a full story including pics without at least two ads popping up. Ad. Free. Paid. Ap. Please.

Too loud!. I hope SAS are paying a lot for ads they run because they are ruining the user experience and turning me to other news outlets. The auto start video & general loudness of this ad is one of the reasons I am rarely using MailOnline these days.

Journalism made funny!. I enjoy the Daily Mail every day, and i have been a journalist for 42 years. The DM’s strengths are also it’s weaknesses, and these failings are often highly amusing. No one else in the world dares pen a 30 word headline. And if it comes with 3 spelling mistakes and an abysmal lack of understanding of the subject matter, all the better. Good grammar, correct syntax, accurate apostrophes, lack of repetition, and brevity are not expected, and what would they add anyway? The DM is truly a digital rag for the people, and the people love it!

Another article in a article. Lately when I read an article something from another article is in it. Today every article I read has Ariana Granda info in it. It’s beginning to be annoying cause you can’t read the full article

Jams up. Layout better than web based version but it keeps on freezing and locking up sometimes I just give up as it just will not load stories

Freezes on new comments format. I have reached the end with this app at least on my iPad. Not sure if it is the upgrade of the comments format but every 2 or 3 sessions it freezes and the only way of getting back to the story page is to delete the app. Have gone back to Readly

Don’t bother posting comments. It sure seems that unless you’re on the woke left don’t even bother posting comments because DM will not post them. I keep all my comments respectful, without insulting anyone or offensive but my opinions are sometimes against this woke left movement and they rarely ever get posted.

Ads. The ads are so irritating, some times appear every few minutes. Otherwise good

ARGH THE ADS!!!!. Didn’t mind the odd ad, but now they are so constant I can barley read a paragraph before another ad takes over. When I do finally close the ad, it has taken me back to the beginning. I have to try and remember where my article was and then scroll back to where I was originally. Try doing this before another ad pops up. Sooooo frustrating, I’ve given up! I’ll try another news app. 😞

Pop-up ads have ruined it. Its good as far as being able to access stories goes, however its VERY laggy and often pictures don’t load (i have 5G). It’s the adds that do it, try an open a picture and adds for 1 min. It has become virtually unusable due to adds.

Ok for Football but otherwise it’s a fascist rag. I’m a football fan so it’s great for the EPL and CL. If you want actual balanced news about politics and public affairs though look elsewhere!

Issues with ads and crashing. Trying to read an article it diverts me to the App Store 3-4 times in one article!!! It is most annoying and they are mostly gambling apps which are being promoted. Crashing is a problem as well which is frustrating. Fix these issues please.

App doesn’t work. Worst censorship.. This app is the worst functioning app I ever had on my phone - i could be scrolling on the app and then my phone randomly turns off and on. It freezes and constantly lags, the app is essentially unusable. After constantly uninstalling and re-installing the app literally dozens of times, I’ve finally deleted the app for good now. Rubbish app! Also the censorship on there was getting bad, my comments would get deleted without notice and my arrow count was clearly being fiddle around with.

This app overheats my phone. Also, I am unable to comment anymore / has the Daily Mail blocked me? I haven’t said anything terrible!

Therose. 'Kevin Hart talks greatest accomplishment since his terrifying car accident on Ellen: I'm about 65% to 75% back to my physical self.' So Kevin Hart had a terrifying car accident on Ellen? Was Ellen hurt also? Could someone please give these people some help with grammar? It's an assault on the eyes, and it seems to be an epidemic. What is wrong with the education system, that these cringeworthy mistakes are made by supposedly well educated people? For goodness sake...

Advertising stupidity. Either sort your advertising within the app out or at least offer a paid version. Quite often you have to sit through the SAME 30 second advertisement to watch a 10 second clip only to have to sit through it AGAIN on every preceding video you click.

Logout not functional.. When I select logout on my device and re-enter later, device is logged in without my input or permission.

It works, less pop-ups than the web page. It’s easier to get to your profile to review comments (or to find out how many have been moderated out because you’re not close enough to a right-wing nut job to pass muster. But from there it starts feeling like the work experience kid in IT did the rest of the work. It needs to have the forward/back buttons exposed/available in iPhone app - long-term users will give the app that little half-flick, half-scroll up to expose them, and nada, *then* you realise you’re in an app not on the website and have to reach for the top left of the screen. But the *real* reason for 4/5 is that when it prompts you for a review of the app, it throws a dialog - that bit is fine. BUT, *read* the dialog: “Rate this app 5 Stars”, and an OK button. If you just mindlessly click thinking it’s going to take you to the *real* rate my app - Nup. You just handed out 5 stars. Yes - you have the option of coming to the App Store app and changing the rating ... DM grabs a bunch of - under the circumstances - undeserved 5-star ratings for 3-star app. (I started at 4/5, but this bit annoys me so much, they can lose a star IMO.

Unpolished. So many ads that will just randomly pop up whilst looking through photos in stories. The journalistic level is just laughable with typos, incorrect words used and sentences that just don’t make sense. For it being advertised as the “au” version, there are a lot of UK stories and then stories have UK pounds amounts. Tends to copy information and stories from other sites (with or without credit I don’t know) but days later! Good for a laugh tho.

It’s free and that’s it’s main selling point. It’s slow, half the text in a page is hidden by overlaid photos, advertising and other links. The writing is repetitive, there’s no spell checking or apparently any subeditor to check how many times the same lines are repeated. Three times per article is the average. There’s bugs which after multiple reports are still not acknowledged let alone fixed. Although there’s the ability to report a comment it’s very hard to do on an iPhone as the ‘I’m not a robot’ checks don’t fit on the screen so you have to hope the relevant squares are on the right hand side of the picture. I could go on but you get the general idea.

App freezes. App freezes 9 out of 10 times i read comments. Will not allow me to return to articles. Very frustrating as I have to delete app and reinstall. Sometimes this doesn’t even work. I then have to wait a couple of days before the app refreshes itself.

Extremely annoying ads.. I was happy to put up with the ads that would pop up every now and then but the latest update they are popping up every 5 seconds without me even looking at anything. Very annoying. Would be happy to pay a fee to get ride of these. Stay away!!!!!!!!

Ads and view. Way, way, way too many ads and pop ups on your app and website. And for gods sake why can’t you read the whole headline on the apps view, even when the font is small! If I can’t read the headline I won’t read the article. Issues with both formats. Neither great.

Republican / Conservative all the way. If you want an unbiased report on news, do not read DM

Very disappointing experience. It is impossible to read the news with current version with pop up advertisements every second even after you close them they keep popping up- surely it’s an issue? Very disappointing experience.

Freeze me out. Hard to read as app constantly freezes or is overwhelmed by unwanted adverts.

Vile. This news page is a plague of disinformation & ran by disgusting rats.

is this news???. there is mo news on this app. garbage. gossip.

Used to love this APP. I used to really love this APP until the past week; an advertisement pops us as soon as I start to read a story; Star Trek Fleet Command with audible loud firing noises. The most annoying experience ever!

Crashes. App keeps freezing or crashing. Many restarts required

Love the app for my celeb fix... but keeps crashing!. This app is great for a quick fix on celeb or other news (though a bit trashy at times), but it’s so frustrating as it keeps crashing every few minutes! It also drains my battery like crazy. Please fix!!

Memory Hog. After reading a few articles or solving a couple of the puzzles in the Puzzles category, the app and the iPad I use it on become sluggish and eventually unresponsive. Each time they introduce a new version of the app, the issue seems to get worse. It is extremely frustrating when for example you had been working on a crossword puzzle only to have it crush as you were about to complete it and you have to start it again from the beginning. Get rid of those video articles that you introduced not too long ago and which play whether you want to watch them or not.

Advertisements make the app unusable. Every time I open an article to read, safari auto launches to some random spam or advertisement I have no interest in. It has become impossible to read an article. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app but your advertisements make the app unusable ....

More time crashing then reading.. Not sure what you did, but read above!!

Fix the app. Every time I read anything on this app, it keeps scrolling back to the very first article at the top. It’s really frustrating and I don’t have that with any other other news app that I read. Maybe you want to follow another platform and copy what they’re doing?? or I think this is intentional so we have to keep reviewing the ads maybe?? Technologies come so far I can’t imagine why this keeps happening and it hasn’t been fixes.

Awful. App stops working after a couple stories or takes ages to load

not great. theres a pop up ad every 5 seconds that you have to sit through, beyond annoying and pointless im sure everyone has deleted it by now. a million ads, constant spelling mistakes, calling people by the wrong name, and false information is what to expect from this app and these articles

Trump Story. Shame on you on writing such s blatant bunch of lies about the Trumps in the middle of the chaos on the 6th! What a blatant bunch of lies! Now I know to never listen to a word you say. I dream of a world where journalists tell the truth. God Bless President and Melania Trump the best President the States ever had!

Fix the bugs. Love the stories but the app keeps opening web pages and taking me to the mobile App Store

Horrible App. I enjoy reading DM, but the app constantly closes itself or interrupts my reading by kicking me over to my App Store or some other ad. Over and over and over and over. Extremely irritating.

Ads ads ads. Pop up ads. Ads that automatically open App Store. Ads you can’t close. Ads that cover what you’re trying to read. Plus the writers consistently misspell basic works and write poorly. Could be good but it’s not

Fix it please. What have you done? One of my favourite news apps previously. Now, horrible arcade music starts randomly playing when I look at a story and anyone near me thinks I'm playing some ridiculous game on my phone. Way to wreck a great app.

Read the reviews before downloading!. I downloaded this app about 30 minutes ago and am now deleting it after reading several reviews. I selected the “most recent” filter and read through as far back as three years ago. Almost all reviewers gave one-star ratings due to the fact that they are forced to watch ads lasting 30-40 seconds, with no option to skip, that occur MULTIPLE times during a single article. Users of this app consistently complain that the repetitive ads are not just incredibly annoying due to their length and frequency—they’re also of no relevance whatsoever (arcade games, for god’s sake). Subsequently, the reading experience becomes extremely frustrating, and many find the flippant nature of the ads to be in very poor taste when the article is of a more somber/serious nature. Many reviewers have stated they’d be happy to pay a fee to support the app, as would I, but given the fact that the developers have not responded to even ONE suggestion or complaint makes it crystal clear that they don’t give a crap about their readers and that their main objective isn’t journalistic integrity but the almighty dollar. GOODBYE DM.

Stop trying to spam us with download app and web site. I want to read the news. I love the fact that they are always first to inform us. However, using the app... it keeps making us open links to download apps and it’s non stop. It’s spam at this rate and it’s annoying. It’s just to bad as I enjoy daily mail.

Can’t read any article due to constant pop-up ads. I love this app more than anything but it has become absolutely impossible to click on an article, with the intent on actually reading it!!! It’s insane. I tried to read an article today, and each time I closed the pop-up, another one popped up, this went on 5-7 times minimum until I had to close the app. This is extreme overkill, I can’t even be bothered anymore. I get the need for pop-up ads but to this level is stupid.

TOO MANY POP UP ADS. Your news app is one of the best around in terms of analysis and coverage but man, you now have a world record umber of VERY annoying pop up ads within each news subject. Not only do you put ads in the main page but you now have MULTIPLE pop ups in each subject. That’s WAY TOO MANY. Disgusting.

Great app. The app is great when it’s working, I love it! I have used this app for many years and will continue to use it

Spam ads. The ongoing spam ads are super annoying

You have no integrity. The daily mail is a pice of crap with stories that are untrue and outright lies, this will be the last time I delete this app but hope More People delete you and your dad little lying paper that is crap !!!!!!

Meh. So the popups are annoying FOR SURE but the worst part of this app is: since the latest update, half the article is gone. There’s a paragraph, maybe two and then the 3 or any subsequent paragraphs are cut off. Even when one pulls down, the article doesn’t refresh to make it legible. Quite disappointing

Ads for kids games. Whilst reading any news getting interrupted by a loud childish annoying long video game very annoying. I usually have to delete the app instead of listening to that RUBBISH. I would give less than one star but couldn’t. Why do you force that upon readers? Annoyed beyond belief

Too many adverts almost unwatchable. Too many adverts

Good news. Enjoy the stories but intensely dislike outdated terms like ‘songstress’ and other misogynist language.

Annoying. Non stop annoying advert/music now causing me to delete and it use !!!

Obnoxious and unwanted commercials.. We should have the option to stop these. You make us go through this horrible experience

Causes crashes and force opens app sites. App will close spontaneously. It will also force safari or the App Store app to open flipping through a dozen web addresses before stopping. Sometimes it will open more than one safari window in a split second. Garbage.

OMG WORST FOR SPAM ADS OUT THERE!. Here’s your workaround... download any of the free adblocker apps out there and just use your browser to browse this site. It’s a revelation! This app is virtually unusable. I’m not opposed to a few ads peppered in here and there for using a free app BUT THIS ONE IS FREAKING INSANE! Every second picture? And a 30 second stupid video ad for literally every video on the entire site! I am not exaggerating. I’m uninstalling this app now, I just wanted to provide this handy psa to anyone that needs it. Because DM has gotten so greedy and ridiculous, they deserve it.

Irritating cartoon ads. The ads are incredibly long and you can’t exit or bypass them. This is disruptive and I always close the app once they start. I would happily pay a subscription if it means I don’t have to watch these 40 second ads for cartoon games.

App has become unusable. You can not view any article without being bombarded with adds, so the app has now been deleted!

Fake news. I shared a story from your site about trans people wanting the song I’m a natural born woman banned from TikTok and Sony and pasted it to Facebook. Facebook slap me with a warning telling me if I do it again my posts will be knocked down the list. I have lost complete faith in your online news. Granted, I did make a mistake myself last year and I was wrong but at first I admit to my mistakes and on up to them. Daily mail is hypocritical jumps ahead of stories, posting things that aren’t true or happened to get the lead just to get more readers. Get your facts straight before posting them. You know what I know it. And so to many other readers. I have trashed the site, but will never share anything from your website again. Not that you care. But your conduct is unbecoming for a news organization. I understand Mistakes do happen at the hop in many instances where hypocrisy and you walk hand in hand, and you know it.

Stop the spam/scam. Keeps opening safari pop-ups telling me to install apps to remove a virus, what is this garbage? Uninstalled this awful app.

Not Working!. What is happening with your app? It won’t open up any articles.

Excessive long ads. Did y’all reset your algorithm?

Too many pop up ads. I’m deleting this app. Can’t read the news with out being interrupted several time with pop up useless videos!! Let me know when you fix the problem!! CNN here I come !!

Lags and heats up phone!. Beware! Turns phone into a hand warmer! Devs need to fix this asap!

Flipping. I open a story. Then when I finish, the feed goes all the way back to the beginning of the column. You are continually starting over and over again. So annoying!

Waste of time. The spam of ads is ridiculous. Never ending.

Don’t like. Used to read daily mobile version no longer supported. Deleted app!!

Too many adds. All these pop up adds make it so difficult to scroll through . Not enjoyable reading

Too many adds. I like daily mail but I can’t use the app anymore. Too many adds and pop up every time you open an article click a picture it’s an add every 5 seconds. I have to delete this app

Full of pop up ads. Will pop up ads or just start playing audio randomly. Opens up app store in its own. Real piece a crap here.

Terrible. Randomly opens “forbidden” webpages as you’re reading an article and not pressing anything!

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

News for bigots and racists. It’s quite sad and ridiculous! The Meghan and Harry hate train was mind boggling a week ago but the fact that they feel so superior for a Biden tripping headline, that they claim US media is ignoring, has made me delete this trippy app. Guess what, a man tripping is NOT news, regardless of his position/title! You know what else? Blacks will ALWAYS support H&M! We know the core of this whole experience is Meghan’s race, and we know those across the pond hold her race against her in every argument. Get some better writers and edit these wack articles, and for the sake of all humanity, find a better way to advertise ads, barely touching the Twitter ad and it somehow always pops up!

Way too partisan. I like the site and visit it several times a day because it seems they get breaking news faster than everyone else but man it’s so evident that they have such an extreme tilt to the left that I contemplate discarding the app. I wish we could just have news with no agenda. Just give me the facts please. The fact that I have to visit multiple sites to try and sift through the hyperbole and then try to calculate what’s real and what’s not is becoming tedious. It’s sad to know that you’re getting brain washed and you’re too tired to do anything about it.

Crashes constantly, won't attach description of photos to Pinterest, full of trolls. 1. The app crashes constantly. 2. For over a year on iPhone & Kindle it's stopped including descriptions of photos you want to post to Pinterest. I've complained many times, no one does a thing about it. 3. If you think Facebook is full of nasty Russian trolls, just read the comments sections. Even regular comments violate posting rules of racist, nasty, hate speech, but again, they just keep allowing them or the person makes another fake name & keeps going. No you can't prevent them all, but I think a lot of it is encouraged by DM as it's click-bait for ad revenue.

Constant pop ups. First let me say, I like the app and have been following it for the past two years or so, but I’m not happy about the ads, I get it, however these new pop up videos are extremely annoying. Not only do they pop up, forcing you to view a brief video advertising, but it takes up the whole screen, you have to “x” out of it every time which is quite often and at one point (and I’m not exaggerating) I had 4 videos pop back to back and whenever I closed one the other was playing 😑 Beside these pesky video pop up ads, I Ike the news and all the follow through with current events as well as the photos 🙂

Good content, ads block content. Always been a fan of the app. Recent update leaves me frustrated as 700 ads now pop up and block the content I’m reading. Every single story has sentences and paragraphs cut off and hidden by ads. I come for the content and you cover up your own content with irritating ads that I refuse to look at and causes me to quit reading the stories. I understand the need for ads, layer them properly so I can see the words for which I use the app. Without a fix, I’m going elsewhere.

Propaganda dog whistle with added sexism. The App works well, apart from crashing at least once a day. However the content of this “news” App is littered with inaccuracies and questionable opinion. The undertone is one of seething resentment to all things progressive, including a tendency towards the sexism, racism and homo/transphobic nature of which the Mail is notoriously guilty. Pseudo intellectualism, hard right propaganda, “ample assets”, “pert derrière” and other such phrases are the order of the day. The comments section is a cesspit of poorly spelled, grammatically incorrect, hostile trolling of an order belonging to outlets whose intent is less cloaked in the glossy exterior of Hello magazine meets Mein Kampf with which the Mail has become known.

The Five Star Ratings are Solicited. I was driven to this app due to self-imposed partisan censorship by American news outlets. While UK Mail Online provides some news weeks or months before American outlets, it has multiple and severe flaws. First, articles do not appear to be reviewed or edited. They often contain numerous inaccuracies and misspellings. It appears some articles are written by people who are not familiar with English. Second, many stories have articles that attempt to divide people on the basis of race and sexual preference. Third, the app has several technical glitches. Among them are before and after pictures that have slides that pop you out of the app when you attempt to use them. Also, ads for child online games lock up the app on occasion. Fourth, the multiple five star ratings you see are due to a constant pop up that asks you to give them a five star rating.

Solid app. Obviously the stories are a little over the top. Articles are sensationalized however many times they are first to a story. My only issue is the comment section, it's one of the best features & for the most part it works, my problem is the moderating and censorship of some comments. That's what the arrows are for. If someone is offensive, racist or just a complete moron they are called out. Let your readers decide!! I would definitely recommend the app

Annoying pop up ads. It USED to be a great app until the totally annoying pop up ads started happening. For a while the sound of the ads would be on too, I would be reading and the annoying ads would start talking, SO annoying and frustrating! Now the ads just constantly pop up when you’re reading and you just give up. What’s the point? No one is going to sit and watch the same stupid ad every time it pops up. Not a great strategy. The ads in the articles are fine, the ads popping up are just flat out ANNoYIng!!!!

Terrible app interface!. I love going to daily mail for content but the app is HORRENDOUS! The constant ads that pop up when scrolling through the photos are annoying but what’s even worse is how hard it is to close them. Additionally, there are always glitches and the screen constant freezes! What is the most annoying thing is that there is something in the app that stops either my music or podcasts from playing in the background. I hate this app! It should be called Daily Frustration, because frustration is what you are guaranteed to get. I have also tried several times to contact them via IG to no avail.

Issue scrolling to the bottom. Anytime I try and scroll to the bottom you have to press ‘more’ to see more articles but it keeps glitching and sending me back to the top it’s been doing this for about a week now and I’m not sure how to fix it as the app is updated. I wish daily mail would get rid of the ‘more’ feature as it’s annoying; of course I want to see more or I wouldn’t be scrolling down..

HORRIBLE!. If you like ads every 5 seconds, this is the app for you!! They play back to back 30 second ads that you are not able to X out of, you have to close the app, and will do it way to frequently. I understand this is how they generate money, however, this is extremely excessive. When you send them feedback about it and voice your frustration, they thank you, this is the first line of the email I got back: Wonderful to hear that. We are pleased you're happy again and a loyal app user. Then they asked me to leave positive feedback, yeah, no!

App crash after viewing video. I have noticed in the last two weeks or so that the app crash after viewing any of the videos. Not sure why this happens but, it’s worth the developers looking into as it is very inconvenient to have to restart the app and resume where you left off every time. The hassle is annoying because it happens every single time. Fix the issue or remove videos from from the app.

Love but began to freeze and close constantly. This has been my biggest screen time for years. I have stuck through the maddening ads, though I cut back my reading when that started. I close out as soon as one began. The problem I have now is that the app will freeze then close. This happens so often that I may have to give up on my favorite app. I am so sad. I guess it’s time to find a new favorite if this doesn’t get fixed.

Pure propaganda just like all the rest. It’s the norm nowadays that most news outlets if not all of them are biased and pushing their own propaganda. I still used and read Daily Mail online and few others cause you need to read propaganda from different sources to at least get a little bit of truth from the truth. But now mail online is censoring most comments they don’t like on the app. If it goes against the/their narrative, they won’t show it. Like you can’t disagree with most of what they saying. I did the only thing I could do, delete the app. I know they probably don’t miss me. It’s mutual.

This is a fave. This is one of my fave news apps anymore. I love to read the comments that are missing on so many apps now. I think if more had seen what people were truly saying there would have been no surprises when it came to votes. Or about public issues. Also you can tell bots lololol. So I really like this rag app. Fun to read. Keeps me young. The editing on DM is awful! But like reading different languages you soon adapt! The key to survival.

Good news most of the time.. I like the Daily Mail and read it every morning and evening. I do wish however they would dispense with some of the grammatical hyperbole like all caps headlines and strongly opinionated pieces in their general news forum. Otherwise I have to admit it’s a frequent daily read and a decent source of news. The most stunning thing to me is that this news source often reports events I see in no other US based news agency.

Audio ads are absolutely the worst. Hey I get that everyone needs to make money and your need to advertise, but having audible ads pop up is just too much. Please reconsider- if you are READING an article to have audible (loud) ads pop up its unusable. Reading anywhere isn’t possible when an ad starts blaring unexpectedly. Ads fine, video ads with no audio more annoying but fine, video ads with audio when you aren’t playing a video-is obnoxious and makes me obnoxious to people around me. Uninstalled and will not visit your site until this is changed. It’s too bad because the app and articles are pretty good. Bye.

Don’t like the long ads. I will tap on a 34 sec video and would have to watch a 30 sec video! Why? I don’t even watch the videos no more I’ll have to google the videos and watch them that way. I don’t be having time to watch an ad that I’m not interested in just to watch a video that’s as long as the ad. But overall the daily mail is a good news source for the world I love it but just not the ad.

Video ads keep coming up that make me wait for 30 seconds before I can get out of them.. And there is No way to X out. They come up over and over. For more than ads used to. Update: I was told to download the app again and instructions on how to fix their advertising. It does not help. The car commercial will restart 25 times in 10 minutes. Prior message: I can’t even read the full story before a truck car commercial pops up. It does it over and over again even if you let it play all the way through. I don’t know if this is a glitch as it has started recently but it is making me not want to use this anymore.

Love the app, BUT..... It CONSTANTLY GETS STUCK, you have to leave the app and go back, re-scroll down and find where you were when it stopped! Extremely annoying, it is a constant peculiarity with this app, which causes me to unsub from it. You read an article and scroll down only to have it STOP and not move, you cannot get it unstuck unless you sign out of the app, then go back in again, only to have this happen countless times. It’s too time consuming to deal with and too difficult to read. Repair this function, Maybe I’ll sign up again. For right now, screw it. It’s been like this for TOO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotten to bad to use.. This used to be my go to mail app. For the past few months the app randomly freezes and stops working. I can’t scroll or back out of an article. I have had to force shut it down and reopen it. It has gotten so bad that in have now deleted the app. I was being pushed out anyways with the ads. Whenever a video was available, you would have to watch a 15 - 30 second ad before you were able to watch a 4 second video on something. It has just really went south.

MailOnline used to be my go to news source.. I have always loved all the pictures, with a small description of what is going on; however, it seems as the reporting is going downhill. There are a lot of missed spelled words, and the articles seem to repeat what was said a few paragraphs earlier. I have the app set to US news, but I still get a ton of British news and even Australian news. Ok, so maybe some people obsess over the Royal wedding, but there is no need to have 50% of current news about any wedding. MailOnline news app, has gone down hill.

Too many ads & shoddy commenting. This ap would be nice if they didn’t bombard one with ads when you look at pictures. Sometimes it’s multiple intrusive ads back to back that take a while to play. Also the comments are broken. If you write more than one comment on a story, all of your comments become replies to your own first message regardless of which posting/user you were actually replying to! To top it off, both when reading other people’s comments & your own (profile), they get cut off and you only see a portion of the message.

Great app. I love the format of the app and they seem to get breaking news even faster than Drudge. I also love reading the comments to see how people feel about the stories. The writing could be a little better though. There is a lot of cut and pasting going on so some of the articles become very repetitive within the same article. That’s annoying.

Ads forced upon you, every few seconds.... You are not given a choice to view any ad. THEY ARE FORCED ON YOU!! Try looking at an article or a picture... multiple ads pop up, and keep popping up, with no way to close them. And they are long!! You have to sit there and wait til its over, just to view ONE picture, only for it to happen again. Those STUPID game ads. Its beyond aggravating. I wish for the good ole days, when we had a choice to read an ad, or not to read it. This app FORCES YOU TO. Oh, and the people Daily Mail hire to write their articles... They have to be 3rd graders. I shake my head at the pure illiteracy...

Snapchat. I use daily mail on Snapchat and I only downloaded the app so that I can leave a positive review. Daily mail is the first news source I read in the morning. I like that fact that it shares a variety of stories. But my biggest thanks is THANK YOU DAILY MAIL FOR THE SPIDER WARNING! I am terrified of spiders(even in pictures) and the spider warning is a huuuge plus for me; so again, THANK YOU GUYS/LADIES.

Pop Up Ads Appear to Be Under Control. Now that they seem to have fixed the issue with pop up ads, the app is useful again. Rating four out of five stars because they seriously need some copy editors to improve the quality of the paper, but the app itself works great. You can search for articles and view your user profile, as well as read articles through this app. Definitely one of the better ones on the market currently.

The app is okay if you like reading only half an article.. It’s frustrating to have an ad block half the article on my phone screen and no amount of Xing out or rotating my phone to portrait will fix that glitch...arrgghhh. Other than that I enjoy reading the DM articles on my laptop; you can count on them to break the latest news before anyone else.

Easy to get around the endless ads. The DuckDuckGo browser can easily and successfully block ALL of the DM's sellout nonsense ads and pop ups with zero effort from the user, making the site once again usable by avoiding what their advertisers pay them to over saturate their "content" with. Thank you DM for no longer being terrible (not by your own choice) with the workaround that the App Store provides and enables, for free. P.s. I would have subscribed to a paid - no add version, had one ever even existed but no need to now, no need for anyone to ever even consider it. "Cheers mate."

Freedom of speech. Comment Censors should check with Elon about the meaning of this principle! I have been banned from having my comments posted for years although I have never used bad language, insulted anyone or in any way threatened another party. I apparently have opinions with which some of your censors disagree. I have a doctorate level education and have a great deal of knowledge after 83 years and I think I should be able to express myself in this forum. I have continued to comment so you should have a large file on record in your “dead” file to review.

Entertaining and fast news but.... The blatant obvious bias is off-putting. some articles are fantastic and others are so poorly scrapped together and lean so heavily to the liberal left that they are unreadable. Please stick to the news and try to weed out the partisan and obviously biased “news” articles. Stop creating headlines that make the article appear to be pure fact and convicting when the article later reads “it is thought by un-named sources..” or something similar. We get it. Your editors don’t like the US President. They are entitled to their opinions. Please keep them at bay and allow the readers to have their own.

STOP WITH THE VIDEO ADS. Every article has too many video ads in the pics! It’s ridiculous. I won’t sit through a minute of game app ads to see a photo! This app forces you to sit through TWO of these back to back with no option to skip. Every article has the exact SAME game app ads! Over and over. The same ads. Also! Why do your ads and photos cover up ARTICLE TEXT on this app??? It’s the most ridiculous thing. And “Nasquashanda” below needs to grow a pair. Not everyone has to think the same way and negative opinions are just as valid as positive ones. Weak people…

The censorship is ridiculous. I like the app itself. Ads are actually better than before but they still pop up at the wrong times quite frequently. The censorship is ridiculous and I get the U.K. is not a champion of free speech, but it’s to the extreme. You can tell when can or can’t add comments bc if DM thinks it’s a sensitive subject they automatically turns the comment section to ‘moderated’ mode and forget about it if you have a ‘negative’ point of view. The articles are poorly written and the truth or unbiased opinions are rarely found. I mostly have it for the entertainment and read the news as entertainment.

Horrible, glitchy nonsense full of typos. This is the worst news organization on the planet. Their articles are constantly full of typos and misinformation. These people's journalistic integrity is in the toilet and they don't even care. Meanwhile, the app itself is glitchy and loves to freeze up. When it doesn't freeze, it takes nearly a full minute at times to launch itself and then freeze! Don't try to click on more than one thing within a ten second time frame, or guess what, that's right, FREEZE. Truly worthless. Don't waste your time and energy. One star. Toilet paper.

Horrible Horrible App and the Online Web based is just as bad. It’s almost as though the Daily Mail does not want to be read by anyone, the app freezes up constantly, doesn’t scroll correctly and if you do manage to open an article that then freezes up as well. You can’t use the web based version because it constantly freezes, has annoying pop up ads that you can’t get rid of that hover over whatever you are trying to read and then the whole website crashes. Good God Almighty hire some decent web and app developers.

App Keeps Freezing. Great for guilty-pleasures. Pretty terribly written with loads of grammatical errors, but I kind of don’t care. What I do care about is that the App Keeps Freezing. Incessantly. Particularly when you switch from US Home to UK Home. Please fix this so we can continue to indulge. Otherwise I’ll have to read smart things that I should be reading anyway, such as the Economist and the WSJ.

Crashes and Drains Battery. The app is constantly freezing up and crashing, which is annoying and redundant to scroll back to where I left off. I have tried reinstalling it several times to no avail. Also, if I have a good look through the articles, 30-40 min, it drains my iPads battery by 50%, or more. I really enjoy reading the articles, but am frequently frustrated by these issues. It is becoming much easier to just go the website to read.

Unusable due to ads with audio. This is one of my favorite apps, but I will be forced to remove it from my phone if something isn’t done QUICKLY to address the issue in this review. Upon opening the app, advertisements with loud, annoying audio automatically play. You can’t see the ad or close out of it, you can only hear it. This happens whether you are on the homepage or even if you’ve clicked into an article to read. I don’t mind seeing ads, but this has gone way too far!!! PLEASE stop this from happening, or you’ll lose me and other “daily” users of this app. Thanks.

Very Helpful But Defective for Tolerating Censorship. I have enjoyed news at DailyMail for many years. Frequently it brings news that other news outlets do not bring. But there is a very SERIOUS problem. Whenever I want to express my opinion, for example, on a report about Muslims invading Europe or raping European girls, DailyMail NEVER publishes my comments against the perpetrators. For years I have tried to comment about it but the censorship machine at DailyMail does not approve comments that are not favorable to Islam and its violent adherents. Please, abolish this censorship machine!

The app keeps crashing, please fix it. I love Mail Online app, but I’m tired of having to go through multiple crashes just to read one story. It seems that every update makes the problem even worse. I noticed that the iPad app has the same issue. And devs, you need to fix the interface of the iPad app - I’d like to be given the choice what I want to read rather than being forced to look at a busy screen with stuff I don’t care about - so please remove the columns or at least make a way to be able to turn them off. But most of all, PLEASE FIX THE APP SO IT STOPS CRASHING every 2 min, it’s very annoying

Great update. Finally added system auto dark/light mode! Much much better viewing at night. Just need to still fix bugs. Sometimes the app crashes…..and sometimes the app will automatically go back up to the top while I’m scrolling down the articles for some reason. Also, how about adding a monthly/yearly payment to get rid of all ads?

Horrible Advertisements. The video pop-ups are TERRIBLE, and they create such an awful user experience. What is your customer acquisition rate? I can’t imagine anyone who would want to download these “choose your own adventure games” when they’re shoved down your throat four times per article. They’re entirely too long, at almost a full minute. It’s torture. I have to close out the app and restart every time they come on, which I’m sure the majority of readers do as well. Please cut them down to 10 seconds. We get the point and people may be more intrigued to download.

This app will infuriate you at times. I have a love/hate relationship with this news app. The pros include that they’re first with many stories and do a good job adding onto original articles to update them, so for news it’s what I want. Plus, the app used to crash all the time and it doesn’t do that nearly as much anymore. The cons are the ads. Don’t bother clicking on a picture in an article because the ads pop-up will run over a minute most of the time. Sometimes the ads dont close and you’ll have to restart. If you have headphones on, the ads have sound and will BLAST your eardrums if you’re not prepared. Another con is the awful QA team who proofreads the articles because there are more misspellings/errors in these than any other news source I read. I was going to rate it 3 but after the latest ad I was so annoyed I had to come here to vent my frustration.

Pop ups. Please fix your pop up ads bug! I can't read the articles because the ads constantly pop up. Please fix. This is my fav news app and it's to the point I can't use it anymore. Update: within a week of writing this review the app has gone 2 days without this being an issue. Makes me so happy!! Yah! Thank you . Fingers crossed it stays fixed.

Trouble. No help. Told to delete in cloud. Now phone can’t get the app at all. Was given those directions. Very upset. Used for years. The last few months are awful. Constant freezing. Not Apple problem. Comes from your end. Fix fix fix The worst app I ever owned. The last six months is torture. Not Apple issue. Your issue. Freezes every few minutes. Ugh

My daily news until autoplay music infested the app. Daily Mail has an uncanny knack for being on top of local US news—often closer to the sources and more timely. Last week they broke a local school district scandal two days before locals dared report it. But about two days ago, every time I open the app I get annoying electronic music playing over the ads. No way in heck will I keep the app of that keeps up. Their endless splash videos on the website are bad enough along with the stupid Google ads that cover the top of the story. Give us a clean app or don’t give us any app.
