this app needs to do better at communicating to the people. So i’m rarely on this app tbh unless i’m actually going grocery shopping and if i see things i need them i’ll use it and i’ll scab my receipt to earn some points. So the first time i do it i submit my receipt and it says it’ll take 48 hours to process so i can receive my kicks tell me why it took more than 5 days and i had to send an email too. The first email i sent NEVER got answered so 2 days later i sent another one and another 2 days they finally responded and they gave me my points. I’m just confused on why you’re gonna say “you’re kicks are getting processed and it’ll take 48 hours” when it takes WAY longer. Like please be more honest or precise on how long it will really take because it came to a point where i was like do i really even want these points and wanted to stop using this app. Also when i sent my emails they always say we’ll get back to you when we’re available and i’m just confused do you guys only have 2 people working like there should be someone always available waiting to help or serve others JUST LIKE ANY OTHER APP OR BUSINESS. Please do better because i’m tired of sending emails.

Updates are crappy. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years without too many issues. However, recent updates have been disappointing. First the scan function...you used to be able to click scan and have time to align your camera to the barcode, now as soon as you click scan it opens and clicks for you with absolutely no time to align. This causes me to not be able to capture the scan and I can’t get any points. Very frustrating!! More recently the new format is an issue. You can’t tell if there are new items to discover or if you’ve already clicked on them and got the surprise kick inside. There used to be check marks showing you’ve already viewed it. Also, even when there are new ones, there are rarely surprise kicks in them. Really don’t care for this new format and that it keeps getting harder and harder to get rewards. May stop using if they don’t fix these issues. ☹️

Receipt rejections. I recently started using the app to take advantage of scan receipts for kicks offers. They almost always get rejected with the reason that no valid purchases were found or invalid receipt image. I read the developer response to a similar review complaint but the reason of the store address didn’t apply. I purchased Impossible Burger from Ralph’s which is 0.4 miles from my house. It was the only item on the receipt. After the rejection, I contacted support and they credited me with the kicks which is great, however, this happens more frequently than not. This gets rather tedious and makes it a lot more work to get the credit. You really need to work these bugs out, otherwise it is becoming not worth the effort. There are several other rebate apps that work flawlessly, like Ibotta.

Can’t get my old account back and can’t redeem the new one for my brother either.. This is the original owner of this device. A few years back I got an account and everything was fine. C19 hit and I stopped doing it for a year and a half. I lost my old account but by now I have a job and I am no longer interested in walking an extra mile for this so I never bothered to get it back. I let my brother have my phone(I’ve got a new one). Lo and behold, he finally gets enough for $15 dollars and it won’t work without a phone number. The phone number is still attached to my old and lost account so I emailed them and a whole week later(what took so long?) I got a email saying I was banned because of multiple account abuse. According to the terms of service, we can’t share devices. Ok. THIS DEVICE HAS A NEW OWNER!!! It’s not sharing the same way giving someone a brand new device is a gift and not sharing. Ugggh, might as well go pick up bottles and sell them. $30 a month for some casual pickups is still better than this albeit dirtier and more tiresome. Edit: Was just showing my brother and he says that they’ve been giving him the wrong amount of kicks from receipts like many others with no reason at all. Oof, glad I left before this mess happened.

Ibotta is much better. This is an okay app but it has taken me SO LONG to earn even the slightest amount of money in gift cards. I sometimes buy the ridiculous items they suggest (waste) for kicks and twice now have not been given credit. It says the item is not on my receipt when it clearly is!!! Happened today so I resubmitted it with my fibger pointing to the stupid line where it clearly shows the item. Customer service doesn’t address the issues when you contact them (if you can figure out how to do that). I’ll mostly stick with Ibotta. They respond much quicker and always either explain or resolve any issues. I can earn AT LEAST $20+ per month with ibotta and actually buy things we truly use regularly. I’m up to $12 this month and it’s not even midway through February. Took me several months to get only $10 through shopkicks and it has to be used on gift cards. So not horrible but don’t waste your money on actually purchasing the weird products.

BEST APP EVER. This app allows you to make money by watching videos or walking into stores. It is so easy and fun, you never have to worry about making enough or not enough money. All you have to do is watch videos and earn kicks(kicks are what they call points) or walk into stores and scan food items. If you buy the item you can scan a receipt and get more kicks. This is the best money app I have ever tried! You don’t have to take surveys about your personal info you just put your email and sign up. This is the easiest money app ever! You should definitely try this app. This app is also great for kids who need to make money on their own!

Had it for years but now deleting it. I’ve had this app for 6 years now. At first it wasn’t too bad. We were able to get some deals and collect points. After almost 6 years I was able to get a$100 cash card. Nice right? Well not really. At first we had no problem getting points but after awhile it was not recognizing when I was in a store. At first it was maybe 10% of the time more out or almost 90%. Very frustrating to have to open the app only to have to restart the phone to maybe get the points. This has been over three different phones so this is not the phone. I have checked the settings. Their set properly. I have contacted their support. No good there either. This app is not worth the effort. There are plenty of other shopping apps that work fine. So this app, if installed, should just be deleted

False Advertising. On Black Friday, they should know with advertising more kicks than normal with a lot of shops, and with a lot of people shopping today, that there will be a lot of people using the app all at once. Of course in the middle of the day on Black Friday when we actually went out to shop at a lot of stores, it says they are having technical issues or I’m offline. You should know on a day like today that you need more bandwidth, and yet you are too cheap to do it. This is false advertising. Yes, this is a free app, and I have earned gift cards, but I’m not driving out of my way anymore to get Shopkicks. Also, some of the reviews talking about their accounts getting suspended with no explanation, especially before getting higher value gift cards scares me. From now on, if I’m going to a store any way that will earn me kicks, I will still use this app, but at this point, I don’t trust this app, and will not go out of my way to do anything in the app, and I would recommend based on the reviews to cash out smaller value gift cards frequently to keep them from engaging in any shenanigans to deprive you of what you earn.

Banned for no reason. So I use to have a shop kick account that got banned out of no where. I was an avid user and got on it almost daily because I live in an area where I am able to do that, I got banned for basically using my account. This was back in 2017, I emailed asking why my account got banned and each time they stated I broke the “rules” of which I had not. Not a single one of the rules had a broken, yet when I went to ask for a specific one they claimed I broke the support person literally just made a generalizations again. So it’s been two years since then, I got a new phone, new email, and accidentally got signed into my old banned account, so I went to make a new one. (Mind you it has been 2 years since I was originally on my old account that was banned.) MY NEW ACCOUNT GOT BANNED RIGHT AFTER IT WAS CREATED. I didn’t scan a single thing, I didn’t do any walk ins, I just created the account and it got banned. Honestly this is all a Ridiculous mess and as much as I used to love the app, to me it is a waste of time if they are just going to ban your account for actually using it.

Only good for purchasing point anymore. This app used to be great to those who used it. I've used it for nearly 10 years! You used to get 1-3 kicks per every new ad look book and for sure 3 kicks for each new video you watched. The ad look books haven't had a single kick in almost 3 months! You're lucky if a video ad has one point and can maybe get 1 point from the 1 ad video that's a daily offering. Scan points are becoming a joke. Starting out they were 25 kick minimum. Now the average scan item is 5-15 kicks at most. In summary, the only way to earn kicks quick is to buy what you can get kicks back for and visit every store on the list to scan every possible scan request. But be careful since those scans can only be scanned at one brand store and will be invalid at a different brand store. Despite both offering the scan reward (another thing that changed). Change your able to a rebate only app if you're not going to honor the scan and read options anymore! Stop trying to trick people into thinking they don't have to purchase to earn!

Many Getting terminated. Read the reviews of many people complaining about a sudden termination right before a large payout; most are getting an email about the termination but are not provided a reason of how they violated the terms. The fact that I keep seeing the same generic response from the developers, that they have to maintain this policy to keep the app free, but STILL doesn’t offer any way for users to find the REASON for their termination, shows me that these complaints are legit and a major red flag. It’s not right to withhold points and not give a reason, hiding behind “this is how we keep the app free” excuse; fine if they terminate, but the very least, they should still provide a reason. And their response that “you violated the terms” is NOT reason enough. It is pretty obvious from these developer responses, that their customer service is horrible; it’s like they don’t bother to read. One customer complained about “server errors” despite having wi-fi, and the developer response was, “this sometimes happen if the person doesn’t have wi-fi.” Beware of this app; many have already stated that they wouldn’t be surprised if there was a class-action law suit later.

Too many bugs. Used to love this app but im not the biggest fan now. The app has issues where it will not let you scan a product more than once, sometimes once a week. This means you have no idea before you submit the receipt where it is an acceptable product or not The fine print says something but the scan wont accept it and the customer service will not do anything. I had two products that the fine print said ‘clean scent’ and showed the exact product and size and wouldnt let me scan for the week. After purchasing customer service tells me ‘sorry, not an eligible product’ when the image with the item is the exact same scent and size. Same with another product where it said any variety of a drink and customer service basically tells me sorry, unacceptable. Its unfair that the fine print says one thing, your scanning is grayed out for those products. Wht is the customer supposed to do? Keep returning the ones that dont match the scan because your description and fine print is wrong?

Good first then gone downhill. I was doing quite a bit of scanning almost everyday I went to stores, even ran to other stores I didn’t intend to shop. Was collecting around 4 to 6 little gift cards from Walmart regularly. Then it started. Suddenly there is hardly anything to scan around the area I live in. Figure part of it must be because I’ve not bought or scanned anything for the big points. Sorry people, don’t know about y’all but I don’t buy 99 percent of what they have customer scan. Plus the walk in points dropped dramatically, very scarce now. If you want walk in points now have to drive farther. I’m very disappointed and hunting for better more transparent apps. This is now second review. Strange it won’t let you start another separate from others. Anyhow thought I’d give it another chance. Well it’s worse now because as before the scan points have basically dropped off. I noticed the excuses they are feeding the public but anybody with common sense knows it’s a lot of crock. Friends and I stand along side each other and compare our apps. We see the difference as in how the company favors someone who can afford doing everything thing on this app verses someone who is financially limited.

Redeemed kicks for cash. I give it 3 stars because I’m so dissappointed right now with this app. I redeemed my kicks after all year I was saving them for Christmas season and I got nothing but a headache. I redeemed my kicks for cash but the money went nowhere. I reported it several times and the only reason I got a response was because I posted it on Facebook. I got emails on how to but not what I was expecting as response as resolve the problem. Find out what happened and where the money went because it didn’t go to my PayPal account. Even PayPal said they never got anything from you guys. So now you see I’m upset because I lost all my kicks without getting rewarded. I got most of my kicks from shopping not just for doing scans or walk ins. Dissappointed and upset with this app. Would I recommend to someone else now probably NOT.

This app attacks those who work hard to get Kicks. I’m a college student in a large city with many stores. When I found out about this app I downloaded it and started taking the transit often to get to these stores. The best part is that some stores are really close together like BestBuy, Ulta, Target, and Walmart are at walking distance from one another. As a result I gained a lot of kicks, I was so close to getting a $50 Walmart gift card to buy food and essentials. Than out of the blue I get my account suspended. I don’t understand I followed the rules and the comments before me also mentioned that there are problems with checking in on the app. I used to love this app and was about to reap the rewards for dedicating my time to going into these stores and scanning items. This happened today and I want answers as to why my account was banned and why many accounts that work hard to get kicks are getting the boot too. I am afraid of getting terminated. I’m scared because I don’t want to get banned and lose my ability to use the app. I want to save as much money to pay for college and this app was reassuring that a Walmart gift card could help with getting food while the money I make from my job actually goes into college. This app is not student friendly. Extremely Disappointed

Banned after 4 months of use. I would have rated it one star if it didn’t work, it does. The app is truthful and honest when it works. I was able to redeem about 20 dollars worth of gift cards and that was great but when I decided to save up my kick for a 15 dollar gift card, I was banned without any specific reason. I emailed customer support twice, there was no back and forth. Only a “Read the terms of Agreement” spiel that reads like an automated response/ copy and pasted answer. I asked to reconsider after scanning, walking, and buying products to submit receipts and get kick. They wouldn’t even reconsider after asking nicely. I would have suggested that I was banned because their “shop beacon” signal for a models near me registered a block away from the actual store but seeing as there was no back and forth, I was not able to prove my innocence and was charged guilty. You will be banned for their systems check for scammers and banned for playing honestly. There is no win win here unless you get open the app from within the store, heaven forbid you take a look at stuff outside of one of their affiliates stores. It’s worth a try, just be warned, they dont have great customer service or a really general require for what they consider “bannable”.

Beware-they’ll kick you out w/out a reason. When you are given a moving violation ticket, the officer tells you exactly what you did wrong. You have removed me from Shopkicks telling me nothing other than I did something wrong. That tells me nothing. Your response to my comment is that you have to remove people that violate your rules to keep Shopkicks free and fair for all. I am part of “all” and by not telling me what I have done, because I have done EVERYTHING according to your rules to the best of my knowledge, you are not being fair to ME! WHAT DID I DO TO VIOLATE YOUR RULES??? TELL ME!!!! My husband and I were doing Shopkicks just like all of you. One day, without any warning, I get kicked out. I contacted them to find out what I had done wrong and they told me to read the rules. Fair enough. I read them line by line and STILL could not find why they would kick me out and contacted them again about it and was told the same thing, I had broken the rules but they would not tell me what rule I had broken. I guess I was guilty of collecting just enough points to get a free Starbucks and starting over for my next cup. This is a scam.

Response to reviews. The response to these people’s reviews are ridiculous. Seldom, do you say you will fix the issue. Just blanket excuses and generalizations! I’m giving a review for that reason only. I’m here bc I got an email from shop kicks asking why I haven’t been using the app. One reason, like another said, it talks soooo long to accumulate any points only to get 5.00 gift card. After visiting Walmart so many times a month, and yes I go to Walmart that many times regularly a month the app will block you bc you went too many times. After the limited time has passed, you can go again so many times per month. I just got tired of it. The email appeared asking like where you been and ask me to take survey. Soooo, decided to give one more chance until I saw the reviews AND this generalized blanket response to the reviews. Ridiculous, Improve the app, give real tech support, make the app better and your reviews will change, but fir now, I’m passing on downloading the app. YES, SHOPKICKS, REVIEWS MATTER!

Not Happy With This App!!!. I went inside of 4 different stores in last evening and scanned enough items to earn about 1,200 shopkicks. The following morning my account was suspended without warning. I emailed the developer and they responded with a copy/pasted text email that I violated a policy. But, they cannot / will not tell me what I did wrong. I’m assuming that I scanned too many items in one evening by going to stores that were either open until midnight or open 24 hours. Maybe they assumed I was cheating the system by going to an all night grocery store? If it was because I earned too many points from 4 stores in one night, then maybe they shouldn’t allow the app to scan so much in one night. I was scanning with other people at the same time. We all scanned the same items / earned the same points and none of them were suspended. So, why just me? UNFAIR! It bothers me that they will not take the time to tell me what policy I violated to get suspended. This is POOR customer service!

Great but could use some improvements. The overall experience is great. Don’t get me wrong. But the 2 improvements that I can see happening to make it even better are: 1, letting you scan some special events/bonus products at any store that carries it. Like during the recent “football/Superbowl” promotion, there was a few items that were available to scan. The issue was that the items were “locked” to certain stores. I was at my local store (the other stores are roughly 45 minute drives each way and personally don’t like shopping at those couple of places) and tried to scan the items but it wouldn’t allow me to. The 2nd improvement could be the addition of scanning most to all receipts. Even if you can only get 2-25 points per receipt. Like 2 points for restaurants, 6 points for businesses that aren’t qualified in the app yet, 10 points for each business that is available in-app, 18 points for spending $100 or more at places that are in-app, and 25 points for $1,000 or more at the same places. And maybe the addition of Uber and Lyft receipts for points too? Not a lot of points but it could be something. But anyways the app is great and no issues with it other than the 2 suggestions.

Account was suspended. As i have been a big fan of this app i was once to recommend them to my friends and family because its the coolest app out there while your shopping in the mall or even doing your grocery but all of a sudden my account was suspended and i have tried downloading it again. Gave it a shot one more time but gave me the same result. I am not the type of person that usually complain as all my apps was amazing i just wanted to share my experience because i know others rely to reviews and willing to read it for a better outcome. I still support the company but im hoping to get my account active if that is possible. Thank you so much! I appreciate it

Really cool but has some issues. I've been using it for over a year now and I really like it but it does have some issues. Lately, once you're in the store ready to scan, something happens and it changes the entire list of items. To me it's no big deal because I only use it when I'm shopping, I don't go anywhere I don't need to but it could be a problem for the kick hunters. The receipt submission is flawed because it never accepts them but customer service did let me know that they are working on it. Sometimes there's poor connection and you don't get the kicks you thought went through so you have to go back and re-scan. I've never had a problem with redeeming the points or the gift cards. I love that they have specials often and double or triple the kicks. Overall, it's free money for doing something you would already do so I will continue using it and recommend!

Earned kicks disappear after trying to use them. I’ve been using this app for a few years now. I loved it from the beginning, a little patience, answering some mini surveys, scanning or buying products you would never see unless you used this app. I would go to my local target and scan the crap out of everything! And earned credits or “kicks” for gift cards. All around great! I would stop by a store just because it was a great “kicks” day. But for last few months or so, the bugs have taken over! I now get a black screen that says “sorry our servers are down” way too often. Waste of a trip. So I gave it a few days to clear up. Sometimes I stopped using it for weeks, yet I’ll get a message such as “you’ve exceeded your times visiting ——— store “. The most frustrating part has been redemption of gift cards. I earned a $25 gift card (that takes a while to earn) and tried to use it at the register. It never loaded even though it was clearly in my “earned rewards”. Once again “ we’re having difficulties, please try later”. Come back to it later, the 6000 plus kicks I earned disappeared. Gift card also gone! I send a message to their help center and explained the situation. I got the generic “ we’ll do our best to fix it”. It’s been two months, and I’ve gotten nothing. Not a reply, credits back or gift card. Please get your servers and bugs taken care of. I’ve been very patient because I really did use this app for years and it worked great.

Ripped Off. So I’ve been using this app for a very long time and I haven’t personally had any issues but I don’t use it very often however I have several friends and family members that have been using this app for at least 3 years building and saving points and out of the clear blue sky for no reason at all their account has been suspended. It tells them they broke some kind of rule but we all looked at the rules and we can’t find anything they did wrong. They have reached out to shopkicks and get no response. I’m not sure how much they had saved I do know one friend had over $100 saved up and now it just got stolen from him. This is so wrong!!! A lot of these people are single moms or disabled or out of work and to work so very hard to earn this money then have it stolen from them that’s just wrong, immoral and possibly illegal. If they don’t get their apps deactivated real soon I’ll personally be looking into taking legal action against this company.

Great app, but.... I absolutely love this app! It's so easy and fun to use, I've even recommended it to use. There's only one flaw that I've notice recently... when ever I go to submit a receipt with the items I've bought from a store. I always get a notification saying, "Opps... it looks like we've seen this receipt before. Make sure it's a different receipt and try again.", this has happened to me 3 times already and it's always a different receipt. This has never happened before, up until a few months ago. I wish there was customer support or an agent to talk about these issues with. I try and try again and I've made sure to try again at a later time and day, but I always get the same notification. I'm losing out on extra points and I don't know why it happens so often that I've just given up. It's to the point where I steer away from submitting receipts anymore, due to the sheer fact that I'm possibly not even going to get the points for it anymore. I'd love to give this app 5 stars, but until there's a solution for this. I'm going to have to give it 3 stars.

Don’t use. Thieves. Me and 3 other people, all elderly, would go shopkicking together because we live in the same house and it was fun going together. We started switching phones because a couple of us hated our phone. We put our sim in each other’s phone and used it until we all decided which one we would keep. Signed out of the app and entered the sign in for each of us on the phone we would keep. Come to find out all of us got suspended because that was breaking their rules. They kept or I should say they stole all our earned kicks that between the 4 of us totaled close to $200. So if you get a used or refurbished phone and the previous owner had this app on it at any time, they will block you. Even though you need a confirmed phone number and matching SIM card, they will still block you. I emailed them explaining all this to them, but they still said we broke the rules and will not lift the suspension. They get paid by every company on the app and the companies pay for the gift cards for the people redeeming kicks. So this app is keeping earned money from suspended accounts, AND getting their pay also.

Does not credit correctly. I would advise that if you were scanning something in the store that you make sure to submit your seat receipts right away because if you do not you are getting screwed out of the things that you bought that you may not normally buy except for the fact that you’re getting rewarded so you may want to try it on more than one occasion I have bought some things that I wanted to use spent more money than I could afford to buy in the items but I did it because I was going to get a lot of kicks because of bonus points and it was a bundle it was going to save me a lot however I have an alarm set to submit my receipt at 8 PM that night after I got home from the store when I went to submit my receipt half of my items that I had just scanned in the store and bought were no longer there and I could not get rewarded for buying them also I have had before where there was pending kicks coming in from purchases that I had made with linked cards and months later it still said that they were pending I never got those rewards watchers stuff on this app other than that the app usually works pretty good except for when I try to go to TJ Maxx and target which is right next to each other when I go to TJ Maxx my walking cakes will not show up my target ones however will show up when I’m at TJ Maxx not at target

Banned?. I’ve been using this app for a long time, telling others to use it too. But recently my account got banned for no apparent reason. I went to walmart far from my house because that’s usually the one with almost everything to be able to scan; however, I got a pop-up saying that my account was suspended while trying to scan something. All the people that I referred also got banned which is around 10 people. So, I contacted the support team explaining my situation of how a lot of people got banned because of something that is not explained to us. I haven’t gotten a response back which upsets everyone around me. I really enjoyed the app but when I tried to contact them, there was no response. I would like for the people that got banned by me to at least get unbanned or let them redeem their points. I also tried to create a new account because of something happened like a bug to ban the old account, it shouldn’t affect any new accounts, right? Apparently I’m wrong because my friends and family that got banned cannot create another account without getting it suspended like me. I don’t know why any of us got suspended however i would like to able to still use the app even if the account that got destroyed is not in my possession.

ISSUES!. I just tried to redeem my kicks for Target and kept getting an error message and told to try again. Tried several more times and kept getting the same message. Tried to email SK support and filled everything out properly but was told my phone number was not entered when it was! Tried to several more times and still was told my number was not there! THEN tried to delete my account and was told to confirm my Facebook. I DON’T HAVE FB! So it appears they want people to connect to FB so other people will see it and they will use SK too. But they are having all these issues and won’t let me delete my account!! So I just deleted the app and will NOT be using it anymore. FIX YOURSELF! EDIT- Just read other reviews on here and people are getting suspended and not being told why but I cannot delete my own account??? I had this account since 2011 and I used to love it but no more!

What a joke!. I was a huge fan of this app. Then I started having trouble with walk-ins and videos. It was annoying but I continued on with it. 2 days before I was to receive pending kicks that would have allowed me to cash in for a $50 reward, my account gets suspended! I honestly have no idea why, as I played by the rules. And you truly cannot say that I didn’t. Over the past 3 weeks, I have sent 4 emails asking for assistance because I believe it was a mistake. I never received a response. At least have the courtesy to tell people if they are doing something wrong! The lack of customer service is beyond disappointing! Furthermore, it seems that there are a lot of recent complaints of the same issues I have experienced. Your generic response of saying sorry but you can’t be specific on what rules were broken, is a dishonest and cowardly move. If you cannot give a reason as to what a user did to cause a suspended account, then how do you justify suspending them? Is it that you are running out of money to pay people out? Is it that you just don’t care? Regardless your customer service and generic responses speaks volumes.

No politics. I love this app use it all the time to get gift cards and PayPal cash. I only have 2 complaints one is that sometimes it has a hard time using the location and takes to long to load I store for kicks but maybe that is about cell service and the second was just responded to me by the developer for political ads but sounds like that is fixed or not allowed so I am happy about that. Totally worth it. I do all the ways to earn kicks walk in, in store, receipt, and also watching videos and today I got a political video to earn a kick. I am not interested in the app if the videos I watch are political. Other than that I love it but it could be enough to not really want the free money or gift cards. I don’t care what the political side they come from they are all trash.

It’s not too good to be true!!!. This app is so fun, literally you earn gift cards for walking into stores you are going into anyway... my kids love to scan the items featured in the app, so running errands is less torturous for all of us. You earn “kicks” quickly if you keep Bluetooth on and remember to open the app upon running errands. I’ve earned and already used TJ Maxx gift cards and Bed Bath and Beyond gift cards, etc. I was really skeptical of course, but it’s true ladies- paid to shop!!! What??? Just be careful when you go to “redeem” I accidentally deleted one of my accrued GC once, I was rushing at the checkout and pushed the wrong button, so make sure you read carefully at transaction time, other than that LOVE this app!

Suspended account without given specifics. I too have been enjoying the time being a Shopkicker with my husband and in-laws over the last few years. I had become qualified for a $50 gift card and I thought about pushing myself to go for a $100. Then, out of the blue, I received a notification when I opened up the app that my account was suspended. I reached out to the company to inquire about any violation. They sent me a form letter saying that I violated one of their rules. I looked over the ones on the list, and I asked for them to provide specifics so that I could understand. They did NOT provide me with any documentation but said that they reviewed my account again and that I had violated a rule. This is like being arrested and the police officer not needing to give you the reason for being arrested. This has left a sour taste in my mouth. It seems like they are above giving explanations when pressed for specifics. Very disappointed in their customer service. Word to the wise....if you chose to download this app and spend time getting points, when you qualify for the smaller gift cards, cash in your points right away and get the gift card. Once you have the card, you can still use it if/when they suspend you. I left a $50 gift card on their app that I am not able to transfer and use at a store. Beware. Maybe with all of these issues being brought up on this forum, they may reconsider and readdress their actions.

Can’t redeem kicks for gift card. I used this app for a couple of weeks and ran around like crazy one weekend trying to get enough kicks so I could cash out. Here it is a week later and I have tried multiple times to redeem my kicks and all I get is an error message every time. It doesn’t matter what method I try to use it still gives me an error message. A couple of nights ago I thought I finally got lucky. It said that it was successful and wait for an email to verify. We’ll email never came and when I went back into the app my kicks had been refunded back my account. I have emailed them at least 20 times and cannot get a response at all. I even contacted the BBB who reached out to them on my behalf and they haven’t received a response either. Today I did get an email encouraging me to collect more kicks due to the new opportunities they have available. Yeah right!!!! Why don’t you try fixing your stupid app so people can redeem their kicks before adding new things for us not to get paid for.

Walk Ins. With the price of gas it is frustrating to go to a store for walk ins and have it not work. Once in awhile isn’t bad but I can go everyday for a week and only maybe get kicks once at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I feel like if we go there and you can tell we are there because you have that attached to the app I think we should still get the kicks. Even if it takes a day or two for you to figure out that we were there. I report it every time that I am there and that it doesn’t work and the next time I go it still doesn’t work. It is very frustrating. We are all on budgets and can’t afford to make multiple trips to a store for kicks just for it not to work. Once in awhile I can see but TJ Maxx and Marshalls seems to always be a problem.

Issues.. Let me first say I love the app, but I am having some minor issues. Like scanning I will walk into a store and open my list of items that I can scan but even when I find thinks that “obviously are” the product that I’m supposed to be scanning and a message will pop up saying that I am not scanning the correct product, but it will let me scan the same product in a different flavor for example let’s say 4 pack of the flavored Red Bull energy drinks, and the other issue that I’m having is some items that you get kicks for buying them I will buy them then upload my receipt but then it will tell me that I didn’t buy what I claimed to have bought, when I upload the correct receipt. So frustrating, so far these are the only frustrations I have with the app thanks.

Easy to use, but annoying at the same time. This app is very easy to use. I love how I am able to just get points towards getting free gift cards. However, the only annoying thing I wish this company would do is update more items to scan to get more points. I find it annoying that you can only get more points if you scan certain items/buy with receipt. What if I don’t buy these items they list? Then I am screwed basically. Unless they have a walk-in option then I can get points that way. Also too, I wish there wasn’t a silly restriction on how many walk-ins you can have at a store. I wish they would take away that limitation, however I understand why they put those limits so people don’t abuse it. I recommend using this app, but be careful how you go about it. I just wish there was easier ways to get more points. I feel like it will take forever for me to get a higher gift card because of all the restrictions.

Updated review. This app customer service/support is horrible. If you are planning on saving your points for a larger gift card,DONT DO IT! Your account will go missing and the app will try to force you to create an account. Before re my review below the app worked as promised, but if you are the person that banks points for a larger pay out, this app is not for you. I would stay clear. It’s been over a month, no one has contacted me, support does not respond and using social media to get their attention doesn’t work. Be warned. Previous review. This app gives you kicks/ points for walking into stores , scanning products and purchasing. The kicks can be redeemed for gift cards. Wish they made the earn when you shop more understandable when you are using a linked card in store. Otherwise the app is ok. Takes a while for points to build up but earning a little through gift cards is possible.

Randomly Banned for collecting Kicks “too fast” I suppose. Just as I was about to cash out on a $10 PayPal gift card my account was suddenly “locked”. I happen to work right next to three stores (CVS, ACME, TJmaxx) all literally in the same shopping center as me. Naturally it became very easy to collect my kicks daily as I know where exactly to go for each store as some scans will allow you scan again for kicks the very next day. As I’m about to cash out I get a pop up that my account is suspended (literally just as I acquired 2566 kicks for the $10, go figure). I have sent multiple messages and emails to customer service about the account suspension but no response in weeks to my situation. The irony of this is they usually respond to inquiries in about 2-3 days whenever I had technical related questions when my account was in good standing. But becoming wrongfully suspended they don’t seem to care or respond. Bottom line if you happen to be located near a shopping center and collect Kicks at a quick pace they’ll just outright ban you out of fear you’re cheating. I thought I had a good setup for myself being my job is conveniently located to their partners, but I was obviously wrong. Don’t waste your time.

I enjoyed using this app! Great opportunity to save cash!. I heard about this app few years back and I enjoyed it tremendously cause all I had to do walk in stores and scan couple item and even buy items just to earn more. I even referred some people to use this . it was well worth too. I have gotten my first gift card! I am seeing some reviews stating that their account were suspended or terminated for whatever reason and they don’t know why. I have read the rules and I believe some people didn’t comply with the rules cause they try to abused it and by them saying they don’t know why they were terminated. To me I highly doubt that they could not have known what they done to have that happen because I believe they knew and they got caught. People don’t believe the hype and see it for yourself.

Good concept but shotty delivery- Unreliable. Be very careful with this app because they will offer you some thing and when you submit your receipt they will give you zero kicks this has happened to me many times. Sometimes when I write customer service they will award the kicks but I’ve had more kicks not awarded then awarded. Many times I did’nt even get a response or explanation. The products you have to buy are quite expensive so without the rebate you’re really out a lot of money. Another thing that they could improve on is honoring the offers amounts. What they will do is offer a certain amount to buy a product and it could be 20 minutes later and they put the points down by 90% of what they were offering. So by the time you get home and submit your receipt you could only be getting a couple of cents after you purchased an expensive product and spent your time and gas money. I don’t know if it’s actually worth the stress when there are so many other apps out here. because it’s a 50-50 chance that something can go wrong and you get zero points for something you spent $40 on.I literally have a pile of returns that I have to return because I got zero kicks for them.

Disappointing. I was probably one of early users years ago when this app started. It was great for someone who lives in a big city because all the stores were with walking distance within a few blocks. And when your not working you have all the time to walk around. I was killing it with the points. I was making hundreds in gift cards a year. Enough to get an iPad every year. Than ones at it started with the points value reduced for scanning or lack of items to scan than the app was not working great anymore. When I enter the shop it says the shop is across the street which. It is not their GPS was not working great than one day I was locked out with still about almost $200 with of gift cards that I did not Cash out yet. I reached out to customer service and wanted to know what happened to my account? why I’m not able get into my account. They told me it was some Fraud activity. I don’t know how I can cause fraud by just walking into a store or just scanning as the app suggests it’s what makes it unique. This happened as the app was getting very popular and too many people were using it and not enough points to credit néw users. When I referred many of my friends to download and use the app same thing happened to them they would get big points on scan items or walk Ins and a few weeks later the kicks as they call them were dwindling to nothing. That’s why I deleted the app and found many other really easy and legit apps making way more on them than I did with this app

Stellar customer service. Updated: After sending my complaint via email an hour, I got the problem resolved. That’s super fast right on Thanksgiving day. Thanks! ———- I have been really enjoying your app until yesterday. Yesterday in the app, I saw that uploading the receipt of Burt’s Bee Towelettes at Walgreens would help me earn 1000 kicks. That was why I decided to purchase it. However, after I uploaded the receipt, the kicks for that receipt was changed to only 125. I feel this is do deceiving. I tried to contact customer but the website doesn’t even allow me to send the complaint email. Really disappointing!

The best app on my phone.. It's basically all free. I go to Walmart a lot and I easily get a 100% free $5 gift card every time. It's so easy it's like a scavenger hunt, all you do is click on the store your at and turn on Bluetooth then boom great your in the store, you can get up to 200 point (they refer to them as kicks) just by walking in. Then you can take your phone off Bluetooth and click on any item and scan it you can get up to 500 points this way. If you choose to purchase the item you can scan your receipt and then you can get up to 5000 points. If you link a credit card (Your choice) for every $1 spent you get 3 points plus the receipt you scanned. After you leave the store you can click on the number that indicates your points then then click rewards and a whole online store of gift cards will pop up. Once here you select the gift card you wan then the amount of money you want. Afterward it will ask you to verify your phone number this will only take one text then type in the number it gave you and your gift card is on the way. (Once you verify your phone you will not have to again) The gift cards are online so after it is fully developed all you do is click the number of points you have and click gift cards and all your cards are there.

PLEASE LISTEN. Listen, I love how you can save money and get free gift cards and all but I hear a lot of bad reviews! I have never had enough kicks points because I just started so I don’t know if they actually send the gift cards or not. Do you send the gift cards via mail? Or what? Do we have to pay for shipping? Very disappointed. I have now realized many users went through the same thing as me... never saw it through the years of usage until today. Without warning, my account was terminated. I just so happened to be a few stops away from a $50 gift card today... odd coincidence? My account was terminated without me violating any rules! I have had trouble collecting kicks at the stores... walking in and around stores without being credited for walking in. Certain scans would mysteriously disappear as I arrived at the stores... those are a small amount of issues with the app. I let those all go because it was free and I was grateful for the gift cards. Today after walking through three stores and working toward this gift card and being robbed of my reward, I realized it is all a scam. This app has had me in places I didn’t plan to shop at - had me running around getting tempted to buy unnecessary items- which I often did. All for nothing. I do not recommend this app any longer. After convincing a handful of friends to join, I now warned them to close their accounts since they most likely will not collect their rewards. Nothing in life is free. Mama was right.

Don’t recommend. So I was kicked out of the app because I allowed my husband to sign into his account since his account wasn’t working on his phone. When I tried to claim a reward they told me my account and his was cut off for going against community guidelines. I never had agreed to anything, and neither did he, when signing up. It never prompted me to read any agreement. Now I can’t do anything to get my reward. I can’t even create a new account or anything. Maybe they should post the terms and conditions when you first sign up. I’d been using the app since 2018 and never had an issue. Now I’ll make sure that anyone I know doesn’t use this app. I was completely understanding that this was a policy after it was brought to my attention. I was willing to abide by that now that I am aware of this. Their inability to work with someone who is genuinely unknowing and who is willing to accommodate is sad.

Gone downhill. I have used this app for at least five years. You used to get a lot of points for walking into stores and the app would remind you to open it if you were close to one of the stores that had points. Now you’re lucky to get 10 points and there are like four or five stores that offer even that. You used to get points looking through all of the stuff on the app but now there is maybe one or two items you get one point for. It’s gotten to the point of being almost useless. You should do what others have recommended and do what Fetch did- offer points for all of the store receipts scanned. I had a linked card but it was a debit card and my points never counted because it wasn’t used as a credit card. However since their machines recognized it as debit, I was just out of luck.

Poor Customer Service. It takes a ridiculously long amount of time to receive a response when there’s an issue. I’m a bit frustrated because on several occasions when I have purchased items that were giving kicks within the app I did not receive those kicks. I made sure to scan the item to be sure it was the right thing and earned the points for scanning it but then wouldn’t earn points purchasing. When you click on the receipt icon it would clearly show the item would give you kicks but then you just wouldn’t earn them. I have submitted receipts and contacted customer support but they take a ridiculous amount of time to email you back. And then they enjoy arguing with you about whether or not your item qualified. I always make sure I have the right item before ever purchasing it and follow all guidelines so it’s pretty frustrating when somebody emails you back and argues about if your purchase qualifies

Needs a little work. Overall great app I earn a good amount with it but two things. One is a lot of the time my reciept will not credit me for certain items or the amount creditted will be changed from the time I bought it say I bought something for 1200 kicks and submit for it while it’s in review for days it goes down to 300. They would try to give me 300 instead of 1200. I have to email almost every reciept to get kicks added they did not credit me. They have good customer service and give the kicks back but it’s tedious and irritating keeping track of if I got the right amounts back if I need to email them etc. Then you used to get 500 kicks for a refferral which was $2 and now they changed it to a lousy $1. That’s greedy if you ask me. Im introducing people to your app where you make money and you can only spare $1 to give me. $1 is the lowest referral rate I’ve seen for a rebate app. Fetch and ibotta both give higher amounts out than that.

The definition of insanity is... Free money is great but when you have to work hard to get the kicks & the gift cards, you have to stop and ask yourself what your time is worth. I’ve been using this app since 2018. Starting in 2021, I would take 4-5 screenshots during the purchase to show that I was doing it through the app because they weren’t showing up in my pending kicks. Then I’d wait 3-4 days and then send an email to customer service about them not showing up. They’d email me back with a scripted response (having clearly not read my email to understand the issue) and I’d email back re-explaining the issue and a different person would reply & take care of it. You never get the same person responding to the same issue twice. Later in 2021, the kicks started appearing on their own (yay!) but now they never post. I have to email to have them pushed through to available and it generally takes 2 emails with responses from two different customer service people, the first usually telling me to wait another week (though I now wait a couple weeks before inquiring) and the second person making them available. Why do I continue to do this? Is my time really worth a $25 gift card?

Amazingly Astonished!. Wow! This brilliant app has an amazing purpose- to get you money! Well, in a way. What happens is you go to a store and scan the items such as beauty products, books and food and the app gives you kicks! Kicks are one-of-a-kind points you get when you scan an item. When you reach a certain amount of kicks, you get a gift card. My family is saving up for a trip to Walt Disney World in November of 2020! It has helped us get many Disney gift cards. This app is very fun and requires an internet connection. It is a true blessing to my happy family! I highly recommend it for all ages!

This app has always been phenomenal. I have been using this app for about 10 years. It is hands down the best out there for rewards (and I use a lot of reward apps). Customer service is great, friendly and quick to get back to you if there are issues. My only “complaints” are scans are always the same (but you get a system down INSTORE) and that kicks get awarded a little faster. Sometimes takes days BUT I get it: you guys are busy like everyone else. Keep it up! Love the app.

Lost $200- Suspended account with no reason!. Don't use this app, they will lock your account whenever they want. I have $200 in my account but they don't let me redeem kicks for gift card. The error message is we're having a technical difficulty, and try later. I chat to customer service that I can't redeem my kicks. And they told me to log out and log in again. I did but I couldn't redeem my kicks. I tried several time and my account is suspended because I tried to redeem my kick. That's so crazy, when I tried to contact customer service again, they did not want to reactive my account. They only copy and paste the auto reply for suspended account. It made me so mad and disappointed. Don't waste your time with this app.

RIP OFF!. I have been using this app for years. I center my shopping around it. Recently I uploaded my receipt. Something happened. I reported the issue. The response: Unfortunately, as we let you know, our team is unable to respond individually to this inquiry. We are so sorry, again, for the inconvenience this has caused. We really appreciate your patience and understanding! Apparently customer service no longer exists with Shopkicks. Their app screws up. I have proof. And resubmitted. They refuse assistance. 1 star is too high. I am done supporting this app. They lie and don’t stand behind their product. This is the 2nd time in a month or so. The first was a referral to the app. I never got my points then either. They changed the way to get them once I reported the issue. Made no sense.

Great enhancements - keep working to perfect. Love the online shopping option and submitting receipts for purchased items. Please keep working on the scanning of receipts as I often get “item not found” on receipt when it is clearly circled. I then have to email customer service and they have graciously acknowledged the error and credited. That is the much improved customer service I’ve been waiting o see again. THANKS FOR THAT!! But....it is a hassle. Please keep working on the back end system that scans the receipts. Love the app! After 7 years!

Overall very good, some walk-in scans don't work. Overall, I have been very happy with this app. There have been occasional times when, even with my Bluetooth on, the walk-in scans do not work. I have had this happen most recently in Walmart, but have also had problems with it working in Old Navy and Macy's, along with some others. Have been able to get several Starbucks gift cards! Also recently they have really limited the amount of kicks you can get from walk-in, scan and video kicks!

Beware. This app will give you gift cards but you better make sure you cash out. Eventually you’ll receive a message that says your account has been suspended. They’ll also claim that they’ve manually reviewed your account and that it showed that you’ve violated one of their rules. The reason users should be cautious is because I’ve broken none of the rules, yet they they claim that I have. This hasn’t only happened to me. Take those warning seriously. It’s sad because I’ve spent extra time looking for the items to scan only for them to suspend my account. Also, if you email them regarding your account, be prepared to receive a template response. They basically copy and paste their response. I’ve never posted a review because I’ve never really felt the need to until now. I did not break the rules and I’m going to make it known.

Good App - Warning about Gift Cards. I am one the early users of this app. It was always fun and easy to use. I always enjoyed scan products and getting walk-in points. However, I noticed lately that when you redeem the GC to use and go out the app for any reason… For example I hit the button and redeemed the points for my chosen GC .. I swiped out of the app to get my store membership info and I went back to Rewards Center to use my GC …. It disappeared into thin air…I stood there with egg on face and purchased without it. This has happened more than once. The creators need to realize that they have a great app but a person spends time and effort and is extremely frustrated when this occurs. I can’t enjoy something I can’t trust….

Why ruin a good thing?. Why did you change the discover page? It’s pretty terrible. It takes way too long to look through them in hopes of finding maybe one or two surprises kicks now and there’s not even a check mark to show us which ones we’ve already looked at. And looking at the comments on the Facebook page, everyone is in agreement. And the scans have dwindled down to nothing. There’s too much emphasis on scanning receipts and purchases. I use the app because I need the gift cards to help pay for things like groceries and prescriptions. It used to be such an amazing app, then it went to crap, it improved tremendously, and now it seems it’s turning back to crap. Half the time the walk in kicks don’t even work. I’m about ready to delete the app again.

Shopkicks you off the app. I wouldn’t even give this app a 1 star. I have been using this app long enough to get a gift card. I even linked my card to the app. When I finally was able to redeem my card (bc it wouldn’t show on my rewards page) I couldn’t get kicks anymore or use my gift card that I EARNED. I emailed the company because there is no phone number anywhere. They finally responded saying I was using multiple accounts and everyone has to play fair. I made another account bc I forgot my password. I don’t see what the big deal about two accounts is, it’s not like you can send points anyway. I see multiple reports like this…so apparently they’re the only ones not “playing by the rules” and not being fair. Stingy and fraudulent!!

Didn’t even open it. I downloaded the app because I saw it on Facebook and it looked interesting, overall I though I could save money. I immediately came to the review section to see if it actually worked and was real. And from what I read I don’t think I’ll be using this app. I’ve read about how poor and unreliable customer service is and what strikes me the most is when people put on here that they were kicked off with NO EXPLANATION they get a response from a developer saying they have to keep it “fair” for everyone but still does not address the problem and say why they were kicked off!! And all of the points going uncredited?? All you have to do is read the most recent reviews to see that this is a waste of time and a scam.

Kicks you out if you have been a long time user. They let you continue using the app (collect data from you) but won’t let you redeem any kicks all of a sudden by simply saying that I am violating terms by using it on multiple devices. If they are able to see that, they should tell you which devices you are using it on! It seems as though they are weeding out the long term users with false claims and no proof. Let users no as soon as you detect a violation and NOT when they try to redeem! Also, give the user details to protect their privacy! I want to know who is using my account on a different device (serisuky, if 2 devices are using it, I would have a lot more kicks). Don’t lie, just tell king term users there is a lifetime limit. Don’t lie - it’s wrong.

Glitchy but fun. Let me say right out of the box, this is probably the glitchiest app I’ve ever used. On the other hand it’s also the most fun and rewarding. On the glitchy side, the app would crash or freeze for no reason. Constantly give the message that I was offline even though I had full signal. And of course the latest to rear it’s ugly head, when an item is scanned, it will still show as an available scan until you close the app and reopen. Very irritating!! In a previous occupation, I worked with disabled adults and this app was perfect to assist them in identifying products and where they were located in the store. I’ve also been able to buy some pretty cool thing with the gift cards!!

Waste of your time. The game keeps freezing every time I press something this app is a disgrace and nothing else do not download! After I deleted the stupid game I went to see what other people thought of it people were getting kicked out for no reason and the developers just said rules are rules! This game is a scam don’t waste your time and effort with this game plus when you buy for kicks your pretty much losing money since they give you like 5 kicks for a 5$ thing and you need around 500 kicks to get you a five dollar gift card so pretty much instead of gaining cash your losing hundreds of dollars this game is the worst game on the whole App Store please don’t waste your time and download this game just get a job then it might be harder but at least it gives you money peace out. P.s developers your scams not gonna work with all these bad reviews good luck ha ha hahaha and by the way I hate you

Every update makes it harder to get kicks.... I’ve been using this app for a few months & every update seems to make it worse instead of better. It keeps getting harder & harder to get kicks. There used to be “surprise” kicks all over the discover pages & now there are hardly any. I can’t remember the last time I saw that I could get kicks just for viewing something through the app. There are also a lot less items available to scan for kicks (or at least items I can actually find). Please give us more ways to earn kicks or at least offer more kicks for the things that are available. It’s taking me waaaaay longer to earn my next reward than it has previous rewards.

Kicks. I love this app but it used to give you kicks when you purchased something at tjmaxx and Marshalls. Now because it he card chooses it has a debit not a credit . They want give you the kicks. Which is very disappointing. When you shop a lot at stores it adds up. I always run my card as a credit. But it picks it up as a debit. I guess where the store Knows what kind of card you have. For returns is I’m guessing. Know one believes you when you contact them . So I don’t know how to let them understand. My debit is never run as a debit . It’s always run as credit. Simple as that that’s a glitch in the system. Does it really matter what it is as long as the card is linked?

How do you sleep at night, developers?. I have kept this app for a few months now and had no idea how horrible it really is. I knew it was too good to be true to begin with, but a blantant scam seems like it should be automatically removed from the App Store. What they are doing is completely illegal. I feel so sorry for the people who spent over a year on this and suddenly got “suspended” for literally nothing and got th same automated messaged as a reply in the reviews. I took the countless advice. I deleted the app right away. I’m glad I didn’t even make an account with these clowns, they are probably stealing and selling your information to get money to begin with. Thank you to each and every truthful, not bought-out reviews that warned people like me into signing up and starting misery. Absolute bs. Take care everyone; AWAY from this God forsaken app “:)”.

Don’t even bother!. I’ve been signed up since 2017. Recently tried to redeem two offers, (higher kick offers), and the app kept freezing, tried multiple times and it flagged my receipts as being redeemed already. I had no kicks and they were not showing up as pending. I tried to submit a support request on their app, “would lose connection”, tried it online, same. Finally was able to send them an email, it’s been a a week and nothing. I never remember them being so bad at support communication. I sent several emails and deals are no longer in the app. So disappointed. I would suggest to just use fetch, Ibotta, all the other apps and not bother with spending money on a deal that you will never get rewarded for.

Suspended with out a reason.. Do not allow any other kickers to check their account on your phone after a suspension either!!! They block your device so any account logged on will be suspended. If you purchase a used phone there is chance you will already be suspended!! Love how a family can all go kicking and ONE of us gets suspended for not following rules. Rules were followed and after several attempts for an explanation was told for security reasons they couldn’t tell me why and to refer to the rules. Um I have referred to them and none were broken. Simply my account was suspended for nothing and they wouldn’t admit it. Wow what a company and what a generic excuse. So if you do kick don’t save up for big cards bc you may be suspended for no reason and your kicks will be worthless.

Just downloaded. It seems like after reading the reviews that I’m probably going to cancel this. I’m not trying to sound mean but it’s NOT a security risk, to allow a person to know what they did wrong. Also they could send out a warning or something. I’m aware this is a free app... but I feel like they are using its customers by suspending accounts right before they collect! Seems shady and suspicious. The fact that they refuse to give an explanation- makes me think there is no explanation. That the person did nothing wrong and they just don’t want to pay up. The fact that they don’t care enough about their users to provide an exclamation makes me not want to join this!

A good game. I’ve recently been getting into checking reviews before I download an app and this is probably a good one. I’ve seen that people have been having trouble when buying a gift card that costs a lot, but so far this has been a good app. The only problem I have with this app is the marketing, when I watched an ad for this I thought you could scan ANYTHING in any store and it would automatically change it into “kicks” but what really happens is the app gives you things to scan, and there are only certain stores (I live on Kauai, and this is a problem because there is only a Safeway and Walmart that registers with Shopkicks) but so far this has been a good app with only slight problems.

Reduced points = Reduced activity. I used to always tell my friends about this app as I would constantly earn gift cards to Walmart/Amazon. I would even make trips out of the way to collect big bonuses and scan things. But since the point values have reduced considerably… and since many of the items are unavailable at the locations they say they’re at… it’s become pretty much a waste of time. I know some items still have decent payouts… 30, sometimes 50 kicks for a scan… but to offer 5… and even TWO kicks for a scan… why should users scan the store to look for these products? Especially when several items are either out of stock, or worse, not even sold in these locations!! It used to be often where I would accumulate 500ish kicks on a Walmart trip. Now it says I have 1100 kicks I can earn at Walmart and I’m MAYBE getting 200 a trip and it’s taking longer than before to get that 200. I’m not gonna spend an hour scanning stuff in a store for $1. That’s far below min wage… even in NH. Was great while it lasted and still a decent time kill if you need one, but if you’re expecting to pay for your holiday gifts with this app… those days are sadly long gone.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. I was very excited about this app at first when I just got it installed. I’ve been using this app since last 2021. I was able to accumulate points watching videos, scanning products in stores, and scanning receipts easily and I was able to redeem a $25 gift card once. For the past 6 months I have accumulated tons of points doing the same routine but every time I process to redeem any gift cards or even PayPal money it kept saying “an error has occurred.” I try to contact the shop kick team nothing had ever been solved and still dealing with same issue each time I request to redeem my points and it is very frustrating. I am extremely disappointed.

Scanning items. Today I was scanning items that I had that were the product for able to get the points and it said that I claimed them but they don't show that I got the points I don't know if that's a glitch or that it needs to be re-updated but it did not show that at all it's a little messed up if y'all fix it that would be lovely because I love using your guises app and I've never had an issue before until today. I only gave you a one star review because of not getting the points that I deserved from scanning the items that I had from the store that I was trying to scan it from. If y'all fix it and it works again I will give you all our five star review and a great review.

Good as far as I know. I have explored the app and as far as I know it seems great, i haven’t used it yet but when I do I will update my review. The only thing that seems to be a concern is all of the issues being stated in the app reviews continually, so my only request to the creators of this app is to try to keep up with others reviews because though some of us seem frustrated it will over all improve the app and the idea of this app is incredible for both the creators and the people who use the apps. Amazing! Does what it says. It’s fairly easy to gain kicks! If you actually went out to try and scan everything you’d be able to earn them fast! If I try I can get about 500 in a day. (2500 for a $10 gift card). It would be even easier if you hook up your card to the app, which I haven’t done yet. I recently redeemed a $10 gift card for target and it was easy to use! No problems what so ever while trying to use it! I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for some extra cash.

Cvs. Within the last month except for one time I received no kicks for in-store visits for various CVS stores. I did get a message that said when the reception was better the kicks would be put on my account that didn’t happen either. I did get a kick on last Friday at a CVS in Cayce South Carolina but other than that one’s by my house they don’t work at all and so I have not received at least four or five kicks in the last couple of weeks please adjust my account thank you

Easy to use. I used to enjoy using Shopkicks because there was quite a bit of variety. However, lately there has been less and less opportunities to receive kicks. This is a time when we need them the most. Every little bit helps however, that has not been the case. It seems like they are going the opposite direction. Also I am having a hard time receiving my kicks which is very frustrating. They come back and say they can’t read the receipt right or something to that effect and its completely unfounded. I've been using Shopkicks for quite some time so I know how to submit my receipts. Anyhow, it's just not as rewarding as it used to be.

Video won’t play. I have lost track how many days this has been a problem. Is has been AT LEAST 2 wks that I have been unable to get my Quick Kicks because the video will not play. All other videos play but the Quick Kicks videos have had “…trouble loading …” for wks now! I have — cleared my cache; uninstalled the app; reinstalled the app; all updates have been downloaded; reset network connections; all troubleshooting efforts on my end have done nothing to fix this. That is because there is nothing to fix on my end. What troubleshooting efforts has SK completed in an effort to fix this? Why is it that all other videos play except Quick Kicks? And because ALL OTHER videos play it is a safe assumption that it’s not me … it’s you! Why?

Constantly does not award for receipt purchases. It’s works fine to collect online purchases (although it takes over a month to credit them), scans and walk ins. But literally every time I have submitted a receipt it has told me at least one of the items is not on the receipt and there is no way to request it be reviewed again. I’ve even tried doing a separate order and putting only the purchases I want to collect on the receipt and whatever they use to verify will still deny the offer. You can collect rewards which is why I’m giving it 3 stars and not 1, but don’t count on it as a coupon app because there is a high likelihood you won’t get reimbursed.

App is too inconsistent. It’s frustrating to scan an item that fits a description, but “can’t be found” for one item, then works for the next item, but can’t be seen on the receipt after purchase (the exact same item that worked for the in-store scan). There is no incentive to use the app or buy the promoted products if you repeatedly pull this bait and switch on users - while taking multiple days to process receipts. I like finding new products to try, but to jump through hoops and end up with scans/receipts thrown out days later and have no way to contest that rejection? I would rather start over with a new program/app.

Too much emphasis on the market and not the consumer!. When I first started using this app years ago, there were kicks galore. And even before the most recent update, you could get tons of kicks under the “kicks at online stores” tab by allowing the app to take you to the stores page. But now there’s just emphasis on scanning your receipt for kicks and buying things for kicks. I may just delete this app because there’s just too much emphasis on the market now instead of the consumer. 1 kick per surprise are you kidding me? And now even by watching the ads you’re only guaranteed 3 kicks. What the heck? Videos used to be worth like 10 kicks, then decreased to 5 kicks, now 3. It’s just taking up space in my phone at this point. The creators or whoever has control over the app has gotten greedy like everyone else.

Can you let us watch 1 video a day for 100 points that would help so much. Can you make it every time you go on to the app you get 10 points that would help me a lot it’s taking way to dam long to get to $25 can you make it faster let us watch 1 video a day for 25 points please and every time we go into Walmart or target or Costco or 99cent store or Walgreens or bestbuy or other places it automatically gives you the points when you walk thru the stores I do not want to go and click a button every time I go to a store ok please do this

Poor customer service. Update: It took a few emails and some patience but customer service was finally able to resolve my access issues and my kicks are still available. I recently upgraded my phone and now cannot log into the app. I have selectes “forgot password” several times in the last week and never received the emails with instructions how to change it. Now the app says I am trying to log into the app from an unrecognized device and to check my email to authorize the device but I still have no emails. I have emailed through the “contact us” from their support page three times with no response. I guess I will just lose my 7,000 kicks and find a better app.

No app support and unreliable Shopkicks. Lately the walk in points rarely work and even with reporting, nothing happens. You can be inside the store and it still won’t register. Finding kicks in a store is like a wild goose chase to find the specific product, that often is non-existent in the store. After you scan it it takes you back to the top of the page so you are forever scrolling through everything to get back to where you were. So much wasted time. You can contact them but nothing happens. They do not respond to questions or comments. I was excited to use this app and earn some money but the amount of effort to get rewards is not really worth it.

Good and bad. Hi folks, you know I love you dearly and I'veemailed you several times now; usually good stuff! But this time I need to bring up a sore subject, the app seems to like to freeze up and it always covers the things I need to press to get the app to refresh. That is incredibly frustrating. It does seem to happen more and more often. I would appreciate it very much if you could do something to help me! Thank you for your site which helps me stay happy and sane as a shut in. Anne.

It’s just meh…. The only thing I like about the app is that the reward redemption is instant. But unless you primarily shop at Walmart & maybe Target, this is not the rebate app for you. Right now my choices for all the stores I shop at are krill vitamins, cat food, and scented trash bags, that’s it. It’s like the more you use it, the less deals you get. It’s takes 4-5 days to have your receipt processed and half the time it doesn’t get accepted, even when it’s the exact item you scanned before you purchased it! Walking around stores looking for items to scan to get 10 kicks is a waste of my time. Its just not worth the effort, when there are apps like ibotta & Fetch.

Poor in items. I tried 10 times this app to work with that but always I saw this app hasn’t enough items or products from stores. For example in fruits department There is only frozen blueberries item to scan and buy it in Stop & shop and ShopRite. Also shows me scan in only candies and magazines, I don’t need to buy candy or magazine from Stop and Shop , so other items are not enough, it is poor in items. I am sorry i gave only one star , if I am wrong please let me know maybe I don’t know how do I use this app. Thank you very much.

Offline????. For the past 10 days, whenever I open the app, even at home it says “Sorry. Your phone cannot seem to connect. Check your network”. It also says even though I’m offline I can still scan. Untrue. The other day I did exactly that and was not given kicks for any of the scans. Each product that I scanned says “It appears to be a problem with this scan”. Or something like that and no kicks are given. There is nothing wrong with my phone. Even while on WiFi at home it says this so it’s not a connection problem. Not to mention everything else works on my phone and in the stores. My Ibotta app works just fine using WiFi and data.

R.I.P Shopkicks. App is going downhill fast. Has issues opening in store as well as loading issues navigating through the 3 pages. Store do not properly register walk ins. Everytime you scan something it takes you all the way out to the home page and you have to go back to the section you were just at to scan the item again. While all this is going on it has the nerve to ask you to take a brief survey after certain scans. I dont have any time to waste taking a pointless survey after standing in one spot in the store for nearly 5 minutes trying to get the app working again. Someone else will get this process working correctly and develop a better user friendly app soon. I hope. 2tar app. 3 stars if you want to be generous

What happened to the Target gift card option?. I was close to getting a $25 Target gift card and now the option is no longer available. I was automatically switched to a Walmart gift card (I’m not a fan of Walmart). I have been using this app primarily to get gist cards for Target (where I shop the most. I used to love this app 😢 UPDATE: The app developer sent me an email stating that the option for a Target gift card should be back soon. The really do read these reviews and respond quickly to any complaints. Great customer service, so I have updated my review to reflect that. 😁

Improvements needed. Latter none of my walk ins are working, every point counts & I have missed at a minimum of 100 points just in a few weeks because there is an issue. Also I am wondering why some items are left on the site when the companies know darn well no one can find them anywhere but it lasts for months. Don’t get me wrong I love shop kicks & find it entertaining & great exercise too . I have noticed once an item gets to the stores now we no longer get kicks for it. Very annoying w the high gas prices now. Thank you but I still love my shop kicks.

Anyone able to talk to customer service?!. So far the app is great until I had a problem verifying my phone number (which apparently you have to do to receive the gift cards). Turns out I downloaded the app with an email I deleted years ago! Now I can’t receive the gift card till customer service helps me. I have emailed them MULTIPLE times (there is no phone number to contact them) within a couple of weeks time, and no response in return. If they would help customers when requests are made i would love this app. But as of right now I’m sitting waiting to redeem my hard earned gift card all because no one will answer any of the emails I sent asking for help.

Banned/suspended as well. I noticed a lot of the users who have had the app for a long time have been getting banned. I joined in 2015 and I was banned this year when I finally had enough to get a gift card. Wasted my time running around the store to scan products and buying them. Save your time and money and join a different app to get rewards it’s not worth it on here. You will not get a explanation or notification your account is suspended or you are banned you will simply not see kicks added to your amount. Also Even though they have suspended your account they won’t allow you to at least get the ones you accrued if you have enough to get your reward after they suspend/ban you smh! So I highly advise do not download this app and go elsewhere!! There are other apps that will treat you better and will not be a waste of time.

Suspended account, Zero Customer Service. Used the app for a year and throughout had problems. Upload a receipt, “Sorry we’re having tech difficulties”. Make an online purchase through one of their sponsor sites and get zero kicks, then told part of purchase may not qualify. Just never told which part. Scan an item, kicks don’t register, scan it again and it says “already scanned and gotten kicks”. Just submitted a receipt and received kicks only to receive a suspension notice a few hours later. Message on app says to contact support if you believe it’s a mistake, which I did 2 days ago with no response. Tried to hang with this app and refer to friends as all have growing pains but this is ridiculous.

Have never loved app. I’ve been using this app for about a year. I’ve never been in love with it since I don’t scan products in the store and the products I can get kicks for are items I never buy or doesn’t even exist in that store. However, I’ve stuck with it since with walk-ins and discover I was able to cash out quick. I’ve now watched walk-ins go from 25 points to 10 and now 0 unless I go to elite stores which are not in my area. Grocery stores are now 0 and discover now will show me 2-3 when I go look that’s it - no points for opening. Surveys use to give kicks and now they don’t. Unless it changes back to where I can get walk-in points I’ll stay till I can cash out than drop the app. It has become a waste of time and at this rate even at 359 points it will take years to get to 500 to cash out!

Great but Glitchy. The app can take forever to load in stores and lags after getting kicks. There’s also a weird glitch that when you open up the app even if you have earphones in it starts playing whatever you have playing on your speaker. This has created many awkward moments in stores when I open the app up. There seems to be no way to stop it. I hope this is fixed and then my rating will go up. Also this lie people are telling about “I don’t break rules but the app kicked me out before a large reward” simply isn’t true. I’ve noticed the common thread in these stories is that people gather up all the scannable items and then scan them at once which is against the rules.

Review. I’ve been having problems with my walk in shop kicks. It doesn’t do anything when I walk in the store. I reported to you guys but not sure If you guys even see our requests. I took over a well and several times going back to the stores to see if it worker. Also the items I get to scan are not even the stuff I need to buy to get the additional kicks points buy submitting my receipt. I really wish you would actually put things we actually buy. Like eggs, milk, toilet paper, shampoos, body soaps, groceries, socks etc……… So I’m kind of sad about this right now.

Scam. Make sure you do not try to purchase the products in their high payout bundles. The second you do a few in a row, as according to what each bundle is described to purchase, they suspend your account, keep the kicks where you can’t cash out or they suspend your account when you question why they have not honored the offers they advertise. Your lucky if you get your kicks. Luckier if you get paid out. Stick with an app that knows what they are doing… like Ibotta. Even Swagbucks is shady sometimes. I wish they would all get their programs straight they way Ibotta has. But, I’d also appreciate if this app would just “warn” you when they are about to suspend your account and keep your money instead of just saying you violated their policy… which is making the purchases just as they advertised.
