Last update broke it-again. I can’t understand how you can release an update that breaks a core feature of the program. A tap on my iPad screen used to generate a mouse click at the point of the tap. Now all it does is BLINK on the screen. The cause was turning on a standard feature built into the system. Please stop doing updates without proper testing. Every update that you do makes the app worse. Pretty soon it won’t open at all.

Works great with iPad Pro. I rarely sit at my PC or MAC SCREEN any more because I can use my iPad Pro on my lap in my recliner. Helpful to start maintenance tasks and be able to check back occasionally on stays. Have used Splashtop personal for years and it keeps incrementally improving quality and responsiveness of connection. I have recommended it to my friends.

Pay for Pen Pressure?. I decided to give this app a try to see if I can use my PC art programs with a more portable tablet option. The app on its own is great and functions very well. I recommend it to anyone who needs to access their PC at home but aren’t able to physically reach it. My issue comes in when I can’t get my apple pencil to function as a tool rather than another finger. Looking into it, I found it’s a pay-to-use feature to have stylus support. While this alone isn’t a big issue, I don’t want to have to pay a regular fee for a feature that could be a single transaction. It’s more a kick of sand in the consumers’ face that the enterprise version seems to be the only version of the app that actually supports the use of styluses.

Amazingly great. This is so awesome the setup is easy I’m able to connect to my sons machine when in the office to assist with his zoom classes when he has issues connecting to them, I can use my iPad and connect to all my home media machines and my iPad becomes a high powered PC or MAC just connect a Bluetooth mouse and I’m set. Very satisfied customer.

Stay Away—Far Away. I have tried this application on two occasions when I was away from the home computer for periods of 10 weeks to 10 months. In both cases the application failed after a few days—it proved to be less reliable than free remote offerings. Tech support was terrible—they don't seem to read the emails carefully, and invariably ask you to try something you have already tried (and addressed in the initial email) or they ask you to check something on the remote computer: HOW CAN THIS BE DONE WHEN I AM USING SPLASHTOP TO ACCESS THE COMPUTER. (For the record, I tested the streamer before leaving). Even for a hobbyist, this application does not make the grade. And, to top it off, after several fruitless email, I receive an email marking the problem as “solved.” I fear the only solution is to find another application.

Simplicity!. Splashtop Personal is very easy use and navigate - it’s a great remote access tool. The support staff is also accessible to assist with issues - unlike Google Chrome Remote Desktop, which has problems that have solutions very technical in nature, but Google support for it is nonexistent.

New update added new bugs. This app is amazing, but there are some things that prevent me from giving it a 5 star. The app worked fine until it got the new update. While it did make the app look a lot better than before, it made the app slower to use and more tedious than before. It added some lag and whenever I use the trackpad option, which is what I always use, whenever I move my cursor over something and the mouse indicates what it hovering over by changing its image, It moves the mouse to the bottom right which makes clicking on certain things very annoying.

Ok but doesn’t work well with ipad multitask mode. The app in general is ok to use. Not as good as teamviewer in terms of connection quality, but overall experience is good. However a big issue for me is that whenever I drag another app as a small window hover on the side of the screen, the keyboard input to the remote desktop is disabled. And this issue remains even I closed the other small window. Then I have to disconnect and reconnect with my remote desktop again.

Excellent for logging on to home computer while away. I love this app. I used it years ago, and remembered it when my current job allowed me to work from home or travel with my spouse. When I checked the App Store, there it was! I’ve had a little trouble adapting to all the extra security, but finally got it. Now I can work from anywhere at anytime!

Best features behind subscription. App is fine. Works consistently. Uses Touch ID/Face ID. Easy wake-on-LAN. Easy connecting to computers on your local WiFi if you turn off your VPN on both the host and guest device. The productivity pack is feature-packed, but most of the features should be included with the purchase of the app, since they run locally and have only been maintained, not expanded. The app would get five stars if every feature of the productivity pack were free, except for syncing your custom UIs across devices, which should be bundled with the Access Anywhere Pack or work through iCloud, rather than being its own subscription. IMO syncing UIs only makes sense from phone to phone and tablet to tablet. If remoting in from a desktop it is a niche feature requiring a touchscreen or inking to make sense. The effective price of the app is $10 + $7 per month or $34 per year for the best experience. I have had the app for several years and have not maintained either subscription, except when I need remote access, which is rare, and growing rarer with the expanding capabilities of iPadOS and the immanence of cloud game streaming. Not a knock on Splashtop specifically, but using Remote Desktop apps to game from anywhere off your local network is often unworkable. Productivity apps, sure, but gaming is rough with the screen taking a long time to fully refresh and input lag being high.

Great app from home or away. Just got this app before going on vacation and am amazed at how well it works. Had a few things I knew I wanted to try and get done and sitting here in the Cayman Islands it connected right to my home computer and works great. It also works well if you need to do something while home from the living room. I paid for a month but the year charges are so inexpensive that I may just get that and not worry. You will love this app.

Just works. This app has worked from day one and just keeps on performing great. I when traveling the remote access is so convenient. Over the years I have had the app, I have had small problems when Apple updates their Macos, but always downloading their latest streamer on my computers have got it working again. The only other gocha is when traveling you might need to check that it auto reboots after a power failure and have at least one computer that never goes to sleep. It wakes up computers locally, but not remotely. A first class product. My only wish for a missing feature was always At you had to upgrade business version to transfer files, but now with iCloud, it is easy to put your remote file on the iCloud Drive (if it is not already there) using Splashtop and you have access to it where ever you are. No more forgotten files. Wonderful.

It Does What I Need It To Do. I have been using Remote Desktop software as long as it has been around. This is the only one I have used for the Mac. It makes it simple. For no cost, I can access my Mac anywhere in my Wi-Fi area. For a nominal cost, I can access it anywhere in the world, as well as handle dual screens and some other advanced features. Easy to set up. I can’t remember the last time I have used a monitor connected to the Mac - it’s easier to just use this. Note: Review based on accessing a Mac Mini remotely using a 2021 model of the iPad Pro (M1 Processor).

Awesome. Not only does this app allow me to control an old Snow Leopard app running on a 2008 MacBook Pro (some software I use for photography studio stopped working after Rosetta), on any IOS device, but it works flawlessly to control my current MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro from anywhere. Even through LTE! This software rocks!

Great RDA. I have used this app for several years to access my work computer. It is easy to setup and easy to use to connect to your computer even if they aren’t on the same network. There’s a small charge for connecting on different networks. Highly recommended.

Best Work App I Have!. Primary purpose for purchasing SplashTop was to TCB when away from home. It's amazing how from California I could literally use my home computer to download jobs from email and Internet and even print invoices in Maryland. On a convenience level I can sit in kitchen in the morning and use iPad Air to play Webkinz via SplashTop to PC. I will be renewing license come June. Amazingly this works just as well on my Moto X2! There was no additional monthly payment for wi-fi use but I bought the Anywhere use so even in the middle of a parking lot I can use cellular service to connect to home. Couldn't be more pleased. Even taking care of just one work crisis while away from the office makes the yearly fee well worthwhile! LOL it works as well from Hong Kong to USA! If I could only have one app it would be SplashTop! A++++

Working okay (with random slowness to respond.). I have a great Network setup in my home and it is still very slow. Some days it works flawlessly, and some days it takes more time to use it than it would to drive home and work without it. Also, it’s very difficult to learn the shortcuts. Hard getting used to controls.

I use it daily. I’m disabled and can’t use keyboard and mouse so I work through Splashtop. It’s a lot better than RDP, but many issues have remained for years with no fix. frame rate stuttering is still a problem, as is issues with some software’s mouse polling. It’s also developed new problems on iPad Pro, the on-screen buttons (which I pay subscription for) can’t be deleted, and sometimes get culled when outside of the normal iPad resolution. I’d jump ship if I knew a fitting replacement.

In-app purchase doesn’t work. App won’t let me connect to a service outside my network, says I need to upgrade....but I’m already a subscriber, I’ve already upgraded. When I try to repurchase in the app, apple says, via a dialog box, I can’t do it because I’ve already subscribed. There is no ‘restore purchase’ option. Support for Splashtop has been worthless. They wanted proof via a receipt. I emailed them the receipt from Itunes, then they wanted a screen shot of the very same receipt. It has been weeks. I’m done. I’m sure the app itself is fine, but there are payment bugs, hence I can’t use it....and I spent $17 for the annual subscription. Frustrated and moving on to a better solution (or at least a company with better support).

Remote Access Costs Extra But Worth It. I used Splashtop for about three years with mutliple computers, tablets, and phones with great success. I use it mainly when I want to watch a movie/show that is downloaded on my computer, that I want to watch in bed on my tablet. I also use it commonly for streaming live sports from certain web sites on my tablet (the tablet can't play video on its own since it doesn't have flash built in but using splashtop bypasses this hindrance)

Subscriptions!. When i try to connect subscriptions will show up anywhere pack: needs be removed man type need steam your laptop but you do get this anywhere pack this needs do be removed RIGHT NOW!!! Productivity pack: yes yes this needs to stay because you want do play games on iOS without getting app you want steam games so get this pack! It help you get it! it has shourtcut gamepad (keyboard) and if you want do a white board on your iOS well you got a whiteboard on this pack! This pack this needs stay! Anywhere pack gets a rating of a 0/10 productivity pack gets a rating of 10/10 winner is productivity pack! So keep this pack not the anywhere pack plz remove the app plz!

Latest verision introduces blurry screen. Using Personal version which has worked great forever but with latest update, Excel spreadsheets are blurry and not readable when initially going to them. They clear up after 5 seconds or so but this is extremely annoying and I cant find a workaround when searching online.

I finally found it. I have been looking ALL over the App Store for a Remote Desktop app that is compatible with iOS 9.3.5 AND is easy to use. I think I found it. This app is AMAZING! There's no "FrEe TrIaLs" or anything like that. And since stuff like emulators and customization aren't around in the App Store, this is the closest thing you're gonna get.

Worked for a few months... now it won’t connect.. I have reached out to support team several times and been given the same instructions several times even after telling them I’ve already tried those things! They keep telling me to uninstall the program and reinstall. I’ve done that 3 times already and it still doesn’t work. I’ve asked for a number to call and they told me they don’t provide phone support for my version. I have cancelled my subscription until they resolve this problem. I am a teacher who used this app for my classroom and it was very helpful in keeping my students engaged, but not when it won’t work! I also have 2 teacher friends who are experiencing the same thing. I will renew my subscription IF my problem is resolved but until then, Splashtop has lost a loyal customer (and a lot of my respect).

Parental Control. Thanks so much for this program! It is a great way to make sure my kids are doing their homework and not playing games. I've seen them switching screens when I walk by. It has been so frustrating trying to get them to finish homework that I know should only take 30 minutes. Also if they are struggling with something, I'll know and can help them. When I take other privileges away, I can still allow them to use the computer for homework without having to sit and watch over their shoulder. I can get my other responsibilities done. This is such a blessing! Thankful mom of two

One of my most trusted apps. Keeps getting better and more stable. I rely on this app to access and retrieve files from my office system when I'm "on the road" visiting clients, etc. It has saved my skin on numerous occasions, and I recommend Splashtop to others frequently. Great job!

Can’t Say Enough Great Things About SplashTop. I’ve used SplashTop Personal since their initial offerings were available - they have always been reliable and their product just works! Don’t hesitate if you need a better option than their competitors like GoToMyPC and others. SplashTop is much better!

Works Great, But Wish I Could Transfer Files. I’ve been utilizing this app for a few months now and am loving it. With that, I really wish there was a way to transfer or share files without having to upgrade to a business account. If they would add this feature on, even as an additional subscription, such as with the mouse or whiteboard, I would change my review to 5 Stars. Other than this, it’s very user friendly and extremely simple to setup. Anyone needing a Remote Desktop Program should definitely utilize this app.

The Best App That Actually Works!. I actually thought that this app is not going to work, but decided to try it anyway. Ive always wanted a fastest way to get a computer on your Ipad. After that I downloaded it and created a account unconvinced that this is going to work, then it told me to download streamer on my computer which made me think that this is too much work, so I uninstalled this app and after a few days later, I decided to try to install Streamer. After I did, I logged in to my account and it worked! My dream has came true, all because of one app. I used this app day after day and kept thinking this was the best app EVER. Thanks a lot!

Works great. I’ve tried several apps that remote-in to my computer, but Splashtop is head and shoulders above the rest. The only problem with the app is me—after I have not used it for a while, I forget that to remote in I need to have Splashtop open and running on my computer as well :-) . I just injured my leg, and am pretty confined to sitting in my lazy-boy downstairs. Nice to have my iPad running Splashtop to check my email and run some programs on my computer upstairs. Remote doesn’t need to be far away! ** I just dropped this review by one star. After submitting the original review, I received 4 identical emails from the same person thanking me for my review, and asking me if I want to update. Well, that’s really annoying and an invasion of my privacy. **

Magic Keyboard support!!. Yay! Thank you for adding mouse/trackpad support! I’ve been so annoyed the past few months since getting the Magic Keyboard and trying to use Splashtop...I had to use my fingers or the Apple Pencil which was tedious. The change is fantastic, I think I was logged in for 5 minutes before I realized I was still using the trackpad. Wonderful QOL change!

You can use Mathematica with this. This app singlehandedly turned my iPad into a notebook. Bravo. Edit: Everything was going fine but after 24 hours I encountered a huge bug in this app where the screen as well as audio is highly distorted despite being on my home network with a strong connection. Hopefully we will get a patch for this because its kind of a let down considering how good this app can be if it actually works. The day after I submitted my bug report the app was back working appropriately and I have since updated my rating to four stars. May not be perfect but it has its uses and the support team seems to be responsive enough to hold things together. Hope this helps.

Awesome on iPad Pro. This app just works great! I can access my macbook through my iPad from basically anywhere with a WiFi or cellular connection and so I can use my iPad as literally as a laptop replacement for when I need certain apps that just work better on a laptop (MS Office suite or Adobe Acrobat Pro for example). The yearly subscription price is reasonable enough as well. The support for GT Swiftpoint mouse is great and provides even more functionality, although using the virtual mouse isn’t too bad if you don’t mind using screen touch. WISHES: now that the iPad supports the magic keyboard with trackpad, I wish that Splashtop would also support the trackpad features to be able to control remote sessions using the trackpad instead of having to use the GT Swiftpoint mouse. JULY 2020 UPDATE: The app now supports the magic keyboard with trackpad! It works so well and makes navigating so much easier.

Totally dissatisfied. I honestly want a refund! The first year everything worked perfectly but last August when I purchased the upgraded version (two things) it stopped working! I’ve asked tech support for assistance only to see that it is still not working! Then I forgot to unsubscribe and they charged me again this past month so I said that I would try it again only to see that I am having the same issues! I need a technical support phone number to speak to a representative. At this point all I want is my money back not resolutions sent to my email that don’t work. And to think that I was trying to the school to purchase this for everyone two years ago. 🤨

Exceptional reliability and value. After almost a decade using Splashtop I can say I have never had a complaint. It simply works, and the features are great. I usually come up with at least one thing I think a software design team could add or improve, but I am not sure what else they could do to make it better. I have only tried a couple of other desktop streamers, but I keep coming back to Splashtop.

Love the Convenience. I had been looking for a remote mouse app, not expecting to be able to access my desktop. But this app allows both and the convenience is beyond my expectations. There is a split second delay in trackpad responsiveness between iPad and desktop that makes precision clicking frustrating at times, but I deal with it. That’s the only flaw I’ve found so far in my limited use.

Works with IOS 11 and Win 7. Updated: with 11.0.3 the resolution broke and all was very low resolution. The screen on the ipad wouldn’t scroll rendering the app useless. I uninstalled on the ipad and reinstalled and it works fine now. Have a 4k monitor and although mouse movement is clunky ( I use the trackpad mode with left/right click on the left side of screen), it does work super well. Color me impressed. Setup was very simple, just create a free account, download and install the streaming software onto the Win 7 machine, and login both on the ipad and Win 7 machines.

Use to be a Good app. This was a great app when you could buy it outright but the new subscription method turned into a way to drain money from you instead of paying all at once. All of us that once did are strewed on top of that. Just use the wired service until they start to charge for that.

So close to perfect. Its now been about a year since mouse functionality has been added to the ipad and splashtop, and with the release of the magic keyboard i would love to see a few very simple changes that would make splashtop the perfect experience for me. 1. There is a bug when using a mouse and trying to click on the icon that brings out the menu for the trackpad etc. when you click it, it quickly springs out the settings then closes immediately. It only works by tapping it with my finger. 2. The most important thing would simply be an option to hide the on screen trackpad as it takes up way too much real estate and is completely unneeded for some of us. 3. This would be potentially the hardest to get done as im not familiar with apple's permissions or whatever and its also has lowest priority, but in accessibility settings you can configure right clicks to your mouse, so right click and scroll wheel support would be great as well.

Nice product. Works great! Nice interface. The free trial is free if the iPad and PC are on the same network. If you intend to access your PC from somewhere outside of your network, you will need to buy their Access Pack for a monthly charge of $4.99. Not bad. I was concerned that I would need to leave my computer on and my user logged in. Not the case. A PC cannot be awakened without doing some homework and adjustments, but if you’re OK leaving it on, but logged off, then no problem. I left a negative review a few days ago and took it down. It was inaccurate. (Just in case that old review is still floating around out there)

Amazing tool!. I love this app. It has allowed me to use my iPad for all of my work. It was the missing link. *The one hope now is that they will make support for a mouse. In iPads most recent update, they made the iPad work with a mouse. It doesn’t work to scroll, and right click. I hope this can be fixed! Thank you for the amazing app! You guys are awesome!

Actual Concept Is Great, Lots of Bugs. The actual concept is great, but there are a few bugs that will literally ruin your work. The main bug is random text entries being sent at later times because the HTTP packet was denied by the server, or never sent, resulting in a string of words being applied minutes after the typing. Example: First attempt: Keyboard Entry: “The apple is red.” String: “” The REST API sends, but the text doesn’t populate. Attempting to retry request. Second attempt: Keyboard Entry: “The apple is red.” String: “The apple is red.” The REST API sends, and the text populates. Third attempt: Keyboard Entry: “The orange is orange.” String: “The apple is red. The orange is orange.” The REST API sends, and the text populates. Delayed API: After retry, the first attempt is successful and populates the current string. Keyboard Entry: NULL (no entry) String: “The apple is red. The orange is orange. The apple is red.” I think the easiest solution to this bug is to drop failed requests and never attempt retry. Or if a request exceeds 3 seconds, drop the request. So if you type and nothing shows, you try again instead of waiting.

Still has the magic.. I have been using Splashtop for many years, however my computer started to act up and in the last year it was not functioning as it should. I finally got a new computer and downloaded the streamer just like the app prompted me to do and.... Walla!!!! It works perfectly just like it always did. I work in one state and live in another so was desperately in need for service such as this. I am happy that this company has remained consistent and that their services work just as advertised. It's a win win; and means it's good for their reputation and it is GREAT for production.

Been using this app for years with no real issues.. When I first got the app it was very impressive, then some connection issue creeped up. It took a few weeks for the developers to address the issue, but once it was fixed, the app has been running nearly flawlessly ever since. If anyone needs remote desktop access to their Mac or PC, then SplashTop is for you. The fact that is supports remote sound sets is apart from others. —— Now, years later it is still a great app. I have used the app since it was first added to the App Store.

Goodbye TeamViewer. TeamViewer recently updated their algorithms so that everyone gets flagged as “commercial user” and they know this is happening. So after failed attempts to get MS to reset my FREE status I looked for a reasonable alternative. To be honest I tried Splashtop years ago and wasn’t very impressed. Recently though I gave Splashtop another look and WOW it is really an improved app! I opted for the paid service- which is very cheap compared to MS TeamViewer rates. But best of all, the Splashtop app works better than TeamViewer. So if you’re currently encountering the same “commercial user” struggle with TeamViewer - check out Splashtop - you won’t regret it!

## UPDATED ## Doesn’t Work. iPad Pro, iOS 15.5. 2 Macs running Splashtop Streamer. App crashes trying to connect. UPDATE: After playing around with it, I got it to work in local mode by setting a security password on the Streamer (Mac) side and in the configuration on the client (iPad) side. If the configuration has a blank password, it just crashes when it should prompt for password. Also, the password isn’t always saved in the configuration and must be entered again.

Does not work and no support. I purchased the application to view MacBook Pro desktop on my IPad. I am very computer savvy having used Apple products for 25 years. I am on the latest operating systems for both devises. There is virtually no on line support for the personnel application. There is verbal and chat support for Business only. It does not work. The limited FAQ available provides recommended settings that do not work. That is it, I have no where to turn with exception to submitting a trouble report. Not very impressive. I will ask Apple to refund my account and try another application.

Just 30 minutes in .... Just installed the Personal version. I’m impressed. I have to go through a short learning curve for the finger motions; may look for mouse emulators, but for now I am elated. Now I can actually work certain issues from anywhere in the house. Next will be the version that I can go away, outside of my home network, and get updated data from my home pc while on the road.

➡️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⬅️. Yes, this is the one you're looking for. Simple to setup, simple to use and frequently updated. This has got to be a passion for these guys, because over the years of owning this app it just gets better all the time but more importantly SOLID. Each release has worked spot on for me. Without any hesitation I highly recommend Splashtop!

Great product. Only one bug that Needs to be fixed. Overall Great product is very useful. The one bug that has a work around but would be nice to see fixed in the future updates is that it keeps on locking the caps lock so typing in passwords can be tedious. I’m using the iPad Pro 12.7 with the Magic Keyboard. Other than that one bug needing to be addressed Great product. I use it daily :)

Best remote app for bargain price. I was very impressed with this remote app, especially being able to stream video and sound at a smooth rate to my iPad. The most useful app at a very low cost. I haven't tried connecting to my home pc through 3G connection yet, but even without this feature, it's still worth the money. I don't know how you could go wrong with compatibility issues, as you can try the free version first before buying.

Amazing!!. This is an excellent application! I have been looking for a remote desktop app, and inadvertently stumbled upon this app. I was instantly delighted when I downloaded it, with both the iPad and windows software downloads being small, I was able to control my windows machine within less than 5 minutes. A smooth running, easy to use, delightful app all for less than a chocolate bar at the supermarket. Superb, big pat on the back to the developers! 5 out of 5 stars!

Great product but recent update broke more than fixed. Great app which i use all the time for various computers around the home. The latest update though seemed to have broken the mouse location tracking on my computer (windows 8 machine). At times the mouse pointer is directly under where you press, lift your finger and go somewhere else on the screen and the pointer is to the right of your finger and do it again and its to your left. The pointer tracking is just all over the shop and at the moment is not usable. Hope you guys release a fix fast!!! So yeah great product but recent update kinda messed things up a little. Keep up the great work thoug!

Doesn't work on Mac. WARNING This app has major connectivity and network issues with Mac's. For over a year the company has been unable to solve the problem. The software on my Mac mini believes there is always someone connected to splashtop and therefore I always get a 'someone is already connected' error message on my iPad. Read up on any forum and everyone has the same problem. On pc it works a charm. Considering this is on apple's app store you'd think it'd function well on apple computers. I'd love to know how much money this company has made off people who haven't even gotten it working from day 1. Who's going to give me a refund? Use that money to get better developers to solve the problem

Great app but a few bugs. This is a great app but whenever I connect, my cursor disappears on my computer, which is very annoying.

Love it!. What can I say but, it’s by far the best! I use this on my iPad to hook into my PC’s on a daily basis. I also get notifications instantly when ever a new device tries to connect!

Perfect access!. This works so seamlessly over my home wifi network. Being able to work with files and manage my office pc with my iPad sure beats sitting in the study. Responsiveness is excellent and connections made very quickly. I've already recommended it to workmates and will happily recommend in future. Can't wait to try it on the work network. Works great on the work network too. Got a few workmates using it too. Tried out the blanking screen & lock feature of the updated software. Wish I hadn't! Ever since it locked the first time I haven't been able to connect AT ALL! Have tried resetting ports, security password.... Nothing! What the hell! Wait.... Let me login, had to change port numbers...no wait... Won't work again! HELP!

Awesome features and amazing price. I had been looking around for a while reading reviews of remote desktop apps looking for one that would support sound as well as working well with videos. I was willing to fork out the $30 (that other apps charge) to do this, then I came across splashtop which offered the same functionality but for only $4. I was skeptical because of this price but figured $4 is worth a look and I haven't looked back, this was the best decision I made, the app is truly amazing allowing me to watch movies from my pc, listen to music I have downloaded or streamed from the Internet from flash sites. My experience has come from using the app within the LAN so the responses have been fast without any lag, having sound play through my pc and iPad while they are linked they were in sync!

I'm sick of it!. What happened to this app? I purchased it when it was 1st released and was 1.19 it was brilliant I never thought anything like it was possible. But these last few months/updates have ruined it! Everytime I connect or try....it says cannot connect to computer. I switch it off on the computer and back on and it works once...now I don't need to be told to do anything else to fix it because I have tried everything and as far as I'm concerned NOTHING should need to be done to fix it. It used to work fine. I'm gonna delete shortly I'm over it..rubbish

What happened to the free stuff. Get this you had a app known as play minecraft pc on iPad and you can make your own gamer controller and shortcut. Now you pay 2.99/mo for it. Pointless bye bye I’m no longer a client of you making money I like it when company’s aren’t trying to make loads of money from there users so they remove stuff that was free. I like companies to let theta users get feathers that’s free and stays that way and don’t make there users pay for stuff that should be free and only pay for stuff that businesses need. Make it free again please

The best so far. This app is by far the easiest app I've ever used, that's designed to mirror your pc (and I've tried lots). It's so user friendly... And not just that but 10x times smother and more responsive then other apps too... It's a bit of a shame you can only use it if on the same network as the computer your trying to access, but hey, for the price compared to other apps its still great, and at least work, which many dont if your company's IP address are protected etc like mine is and hard to remote log in. Though you can always pay a little more if you want this feature on this same app to be able to remote access a pc from a different server ect. Which is at least an option.

Fast and reliable: a great desktop experience. I use Splashtop to connect to a mac mini running various development tools. Graphics refresh is far faster than any other remote app I have tried, and the experience is generally flawless. I did have some complaints about keyboard combinations when connecting to a mac. I received a prompt response from the support team, and the issues have been resolved perfectly in the latest update. A quality app, with great support.

Can't stream Windows Media Centre. Can't stream Windows Media Centre I brought this app to mainly stream content from windows media centre to my iPad but It it just keeps on crashing and then it shows an error message stating "splashtop Streamer currently does not support applications that require direct screen access" - so the app that states it can stream content...CAN'T --- now why do they not tell us that in the app description - I guess if they did then it would then go against the app being able to stream content remotely to other devices and so we would not buy the app if we knew about this Major Fault - so this way they are hoping you will get sucked in like me and give them lots of your hard earned money only to get this message and end up deleting the app and wishing you could get a refund for false advertising

Very useful but a little glitchy. One of my favourite apps on the apps store. However, there are a few little things that are stopping me giving it a 5 star rating, such as no screen lock so that when I drag with two fingers it doesn't zoom instead. I've also only got it to work over 3G about twice; maybe a guide with the app or program might be useful as well. Another thing is the lack of support for full screen programs, but I'm sure that'll be here soon. It might just be my computer running the Windows 8 Developer Preview but I can't get sound to work either. But for the average user, this is definitely worth it.

Great app. Excellent app - has essentially turned my iPad into a laptop by giving my remote access to my Mac Mini. It took a little while to iron out all the problems, but the support desk were good. They not only got back to me quickly, but also sent a follow up email if they had not heard back from me. The functionality of this app does depend on internet speeds, so it can be a bit slow to use at times when I am on different networks and the connection is poor. When I am at home there is little difference between using Splashtop and using my Mac itself.

Worst ever. I paid for this app some six years ago, used it twice. Didn't know that it was a subscription. My Apple ID used to purchase the app has changed five years ago, have no access to the mailbox associated with previous Apple ID. I have no subscriptions with current Apple ID. It's up to the developers of the app to cancel my subscription as I am unable to do so. I have deleted the app from iPad and will never use again.

Good app - but. It’s a good app, works well with iPad. However the resolution setting need fixing. You need to offer 1600x1200 which is the best resolution for Ipad pro 12.9.

Highly recommend!. An essential app for me. Have tried various RDP apps and Splashtop2 is by far the most responsive and useful. The ability to stream HD media via local wifi helps circumvent some of iOS's inbuilt limitations i.e. lack of Flash, and the ease of establishing consistent reliable connections is almost flawless. Through the use of this app more than 50% of my desktop [Windows] work & usage is achieved via an iPad 2. Have used Splashtop2 for the last couple of years and now consider it one of the most well designed, well coded and truly useful utilities on the App Store. Excellent job to the team behind it!

Useful. I originally gave this an unfavourable review as it was very sluggish even with a new Mac desktop. I was using an ipad 1 but didn't twig that maybe the processor speed of the ipad was the problem. I have a new ipad pro now and it is very responsive. So the speed of your processor is important. The developer response below is to my original review.

Difficult to set up remote 3G. If this was easier to connect remotely through 3G would give it 5*. Managed to get it set up a while ago for 3g but after update only works for me through wifi. Also tried the google account but it doesn't recognize my google password. Pity, it would be my choice app for remote use but not without 3G. :( ***UPDATE...I found it worked for me with gmail account details. Was hoping to use to access live stream conferencing program on my PC while out but on 3G it is way to slow.

Excellent app. Splashtop is a great tool. It works very well on my iPad2 both in 3G and WiFi mode, connecting seamlessly my Windows XP computer. It is a little bit tricky to get it running, but you would not want to miss it thereafter. With Splashtop I move files on my computer to SkyDrive or Dropbox and pick them up on the iPad with the resp. Apps. No more slugging around bulky laptops, with Splashtop Remote on the iPad and free Splashtop Streamer on the Computer, I am now as mobile as I never thought was possible.

This app is unbelievably amazing!. It solved all the qualms I had about an iPad and it allows me to just sit back and relax with my iPad and be able to use it for everything! While my computer sits over at it's desk. I I especially love it now it's winter and I can snuggle up in bed and watch movies and play games from my computer. This is a definite recommend especially to people who are wanting to use Flash based web stuff on your iPad and have a computer around all the time.

Best remote desktop app. I still use my first generation iPads and this app turns them into a powerful desktop. By remote viewing, it allows me to do everything I need to with ease. Watch a movie, browse the net, download music and working on docs.

Mobile Convenience. I have been surprised at the fuss free connection from various remote locations. I also use a terminal server connection, but there are still some things that are best having a connection direct to your actual PC Desktop. At the PC level the Splashtop installation and updates are clean and simple, and the background program does not appear to take resources or processing power. I would recommend this if you are away from your PC in the next town or the next room.

Fantastic remote connect app. App works exactly as described. I think it's more advanced than using standard RDP &Vnc. The main reason I wrote this app review though is some people have rated it low because of the need to run a desktop program as well. Without the desktop addon we wouldn't get the advanced features such as the smooth streaming of videos and games. I think it's a bit rough to give them a bad review when the program does exactly as advertised it would do. The fact it needs software on the computer your are connecting to is clearly stated in the product description and is needed to provide the extra features that make splash top better for me than standard RDP. The ability to use a gmail account to access your computer remotely over the Internet is an extremely easy way of setting up remote access too. With many competing products configuring remote access over the interet can be tricky, splashtop simplifies this process. Apart from a keen splashtop user, I'm in no way associated with them

Brilliant. Connected straight away to a MacBook Air, Lenovo laptop and a windows PC including over the Internet and wireless. All very quick and easy. Requires a google account which is fine, would also be good to include log in via Facebook. The $10 annual subscription to connect to computers via the Internet is reasonable. Would also be good if they included an app to hook an iPhone up as a track pad mouse or to run a Bluetooth mouse connected to the iPad. Have seen other apps with this capability. But overall it's a great app. Does what it says it will.

Best remote app. I’ve been using Splashtop for years; it’s still far and away the best remote desktop app in this price range by a mile. Very smooth, intuitive and user friendly. Highly recommend!

Wouldn’t be without it!. I’m a Teacher in a multi-grade classroom setting. I use this App daily to seamlessly flick between lesson concepts and tasks. This App means means that I don’t teach from the front of the classroom - I move around. I love it!!!

Gabrielle. I find the only real issue is the speed on my Optus wireless sim when connecting from iPad to home office PCs. It is fantastic in that I can generate invoices and print them from remote locations so picking can be done easily. I can access my many emails on MS Outlook send and receive remotely, edit Word, Excel etc, Photoshop, Picassa etc etc email to my iPad ready for whatever I need to forward or use as iPad is restrictive with many program's not available. We have Teamview also but this is not an iPad App as far as I know but I will check and compare apples :)

Truly Brilliant!!!!. This app is truly brilliant if you are at home using wifi! You can sit in bed and access the files on your computer in the living room. It's simple to set up and gives you immediate access to your home computer. Finally I can use Microsoft Word on my iPad. The downsides are that your home/work computer has to be on all the time, you have to deactivate sleep mode and it doesn't work outside of the home, even if you have the same networks. You need to pay for the Go Anywhere Coverage, which is really cheap. Then it works, but the pages change over a little slowly.

Good app - minor issues. This makes a really good app. I'm not sure what people are talking about when they say it doesn't work for Mac OS X - it's been connecting and working perfectly. Even though my upload speed is terrible - around 20kb/sec, I have had no lag. There has only been one issue for me, though. It isnt big enough to really merit the loss of a star. After I disconnect and go back to my Mac, anything with mouse over detection doesn't work. This tends to be a pain in the neck when it comes to menus etc. it's not too bad now, but please fix it ASAP!!! Other than that, a well-made app. I just wish you could put such responsiveness into xdisplay's Mac version....

Mostly brilliant. It has a few issues here and there, but on the whole, I have loved the app and use it very regularly. If I want to do something I can't easily do on my iPad, this tool makes it possible to do it on my Mac at home and send documents to Dropbox or wherever so I can get the end result on my iPad. Basically, any restrictions that an iPad has are overcome by using this app to access my Mac. I have amazed friends and family when I've been overseas (China) or interstate, or just away from home and logged into my computer for some reason remotely. I also use it to remotely fix my family's PCs. It has been worth far more to me than I paid for the anywhere access function, and the occasional times it goes down, I really miss it. Brilliant app, can't praise it highly enough.

The fastest remote control app. Have tried many other remote control apps and I can confidently say that this is the fastest remote control app. The dev team just added a function that supports nVidia GPUs to enhance the performance so if your graphics card is nVidia's you should def get this. Although this function does not work for me well and I had to disable it, the support team is superb. I always write emails to devs when I encounter problems and Splashtop support team replied within couple of hours to both my emails. This app is useful when you want to email a file thats inside your computer from outside. When you are in the same network, you can use your ipad to view flash, play videos etc. Seems that any program that uses Direct X 3D does not work which doesnt bother me at all as if i wanted to play 3D games I wouldnt use ipad as a proxy device anyways. Highly recommended.

Big improvement for new iPad. Compared to v1 splashtop, v2 is a lot more responsive, and doesn't have the washed out look - much better! The ui is nicer and it looks way better on retina display, especially when connected to a remote desktop. Haven't tried remote access via 3G but for connecting via local network it works great. I can play games via my PC using a wireless Xbox 360 controller - too good... Great for gaming in bed :) I am using wireless G so there is a little bit of latency when playing but that's to be expected. Be interesting to compare to wireless N...

Very impressive. Was a bit skeptical at first but this app is amazing, I can't believe it only cost me a dollar! I'm running Windows XP on my computer and I had no issues at all with setup, it was really easy and quick to do. This is definitely a must-have :) One suggestion though: when I'm controlling with my iPad, it seems to screw up the screen resolution on my computer. Not to the point where you can't still see what's happening but enough that it's annoying if you're also watching from the computer. Would it be possible for this to not happen?

Awesome!. I don't often review apps but felt like this one deserved it. I'm running windows 7 home and purchased this by mistake not knowing that I couldn't use remote desktop to connect to it. I saw this app and was sceptical about it's ability to let me connect to my desktop from my iPad but thought I would try it based on previous reviews. I downloaded the app, installed the software on my home computer and connected instantly. I played around on my desktop running programs through my iPad. This app is just awesome. Does what it says and is simplicity to install and setup. Big thumbs up to the developers, great work guys. Thanks ;)

Yyy. I like Splashtop but it’s a bit too Lagi

Good but needs login reliability. When it works (more on that later) this app works well. It is easy to connect to computers even when hidden behind corporate networks etc. I have found it reasonably fast, even when running over 3G using it to display moving trend charts. The one issue I've had with it is the computer client seems to lose its login details periodically. This means unless I've checked that I'm logged in before I leave for the weekend I will sometimes not be able to find my office computer when I try to log into it. This can be very annoying! Only seems to happen on a fresh boot, if you've made sure it's logged in it doesn't log out while the computer is running as far as I can tell.

It Just Works (a treat). Splashtop is a fantastic app that just works. It literally took 5 minutes to set up on the network at work without any need for instructions. Got home tonight and it worked over my home network first time. Really easy to use my laptop (XP) with one finger remotely. Gives my iPad2 a major increase in work-related uses - including access to all my files stored on the network and laptop...... Great when you forget a document for a meeting!

Best Remote Desktop. I have used TeamViewer as well as the new Microsoft Remote Desktop app but this is still the best. Video playback in HD and music streaming is far superior, faster and smoother. The interface design has more options and easier to navigate. But the main reason why I would pick this app is because out of the 3 Remote Desktop apps I have Splashtop is the only one that works over 3G (requires in app purchase). Works great on my ipad and iPhone used to connect to my windows8 pc. It also has the option to'WOL' which means I can wake my computer when it's in sleep mode.

Update has issues. After updating, iMac cannot be connected to when in standby, older version woke it up. Means computer must be logged in and the screen running when connecting to it remotely. Additionally, it will no longer connect to work PC as it requires login to access. As the work PC is not kept logged on it cannot see the PC and fails to connect. On top of that, there is no updated remote for the PC so my work PC can no longer connect to the home iMac. Just because that is not enough, you have also completely the option to connect via IP. I am now trying to get the programs reverted back to the old version as everything i use it for is broke. Beware updating.

Just perfect!. This app is great, does exactly what I need and some. I also found that if I used my Nvidia control panel to create a custom 2048x1536 resolution and set that as my native res on my PC, then when start the app I set it to use my computers native res and then Bobs ya uncle, u have a very nice, clear and crisp HI-Res Retina picture on a New iPad. There are a few things I found like the fact that you computers display is extremely blurry due to it not really being a native res but other than that it works great. 5 Stars from me

Harassment to upgrade AND you are forced to create an account with them. Do you still have to create an account with you OR have you reintroduced the ability to work in a LAN without that or any other external connection? My rating won't change until you fix that. I loved V1 but I have been harassed by prompts to upgrade both my iPad and pc versions... DON'T DO IT... After the upgrade you are forced to create an account with them otherwise you cannot use the software. I have no intention of opening up my home network to the world and have no interest in creating an account that I have no interest in and will never use. I was extremely happy with it operating in my home network only and now, as I cannot reinstall V1, have wasted my money. I am extremely annoyed that I had no option on the upgrade unless I was happy to be constantly harassed to upgrade.

Brilliant app that works perfectly. This is a fantastic app for remote desktop use. I’ve been using it for years and it has always worked superbly well.

Pretty Good!. This is a pretty good app. It does basically what it says. It now makes the iPad an incredibly functional device, considering you can do just about anything your PC does. No more mucking around with glitchy apps to access music and video - just listen/watch on the PC. Loving that! My personal hope for an update is that they cater to multiple screens, as I have 3 running (at widths 1680|2560|1680) which means lots of programs don't appear on the middle (2560) screen. Maybe I can control this from within Win7 - I'll have to experiment - mind you a gesture swipe between multiple screens in this app would be nice! I'm now thinking the process of remotely accessing the PC on an iPad would benefit hugely from a bluetooth keyboard and mouse as the on-screen keyboard/mouse is a little clunky and gets in the way - it's not terrible though. No longer works properly on iPad OS 13.3. I have to uninstall and reinstall before it works on my iPad. Been that way since IOS 13. Grrr! Works fine from my Win10 laptop to my PC.

Prettttty cool. Wow great app. Great graphics, i can actually feel like I'm looking at a computer screen. The sound and video streaming isn't great quality, but that may be an issue with my Internet connection, and overall i don't really use it for that anyway. But i have found I need to revert to using team viewer (pretty much the same thing, except the screen doesn't fit the iPad and the controls are a bit less intuitive) for logging into my computer before using splash top when i am logged. Overall, really really worth it.

Disapointed. Sorry but I've updated by error with all update form in Apps store and figure I did a mistake after it. No access remotely anymore without paying fee. Frustrating. App works when I'm sitting right in front of the computer with my ipad, but not when it counts. I purchased the anywhere access pack, and was told the transaction was not confirmed- then receive a receipt from apple saying it was. I still do not have access. Very unreliable app, teamviewer worked much better, for free

Great App! (re-updated review). UPDATE 2: Wake On LAN feature has been reinstated to this app, and it works just as well as it did the first time round, hence bumping up the rating back to 5 stars. Good to know that the developers are paying attention. End of update 2. UPDATE: With this latest version (2.0), I am no longer able to access my PC when it is in sleep mode (I could do so with the earlier version). This functionality has been removed completely! But that was the reason I bought the app in the first place! It is useless for me now. Downgrading the rating from five stars to one. End of update. (Initial review) I was hesitant when buying this since I was doubtful that it would be able to wake my PC from sleep mode, which is how it usually is when I'm not at home, but it wasn't a problem at all. The FAQ section on their website is very useful in solving any problems you might have. Definitely recommend this for anyone interested in a remote desktop type app.

I never really leave reviews because I'm pretty critical of apps but th.is one blows me away...absolutely love it and the price is perfect....note to the developer......don't ruin it, you did a good job I still use logmein but I'll never pay 30 for it on iPad. Splash top as far as I'm concerned is the best out there even better then logmein. I'd give it 6 stars if I could

Feel cheated.. When this app was remade into this mark 2 version the core aspect of its usage, the ability to use my computer at a remote location, was fundamentally altered to this payed subscription nonsense. I purchased this app a long time ago strictly because it had this functionality for what was at the time an expensive purchase ($15). Now you want me to pay another dollar a month for something the app already did? This app has been shelved.

Great. This is a fantastic program. If it was fast enough to game it would be 100% perfect. But this is by far the best program I have gotten and i use it everyday.

Excellent. Very stable, easy to set up and understand. Once installed and (quickly) configured, it runs without fail. A couple of options for mouse control, audio output, resolution, but the defaults work great. Highly recommended.

Best Quality/Price Out !. This app is amzing,and for the price why would you resist?! The only thing that should be improved is the video fluidity and the commands ! The only thing i wich there was is the ability to disconnect from the computer and return to the main menu ( if there's a way i dont know it) Keep up the good work !

New update black screen. Since the new update my iPad just shows a black screen when connected to my MacBook pro running Lion OS. I can still control the pointer but no visual on the iPad.

Bugged on iOS 12. Something has been preventing my Bluetooth speaker that I use to listen to podcasts from going to sleep at night. I checked the battery setting and it’s showing that splashtop is constantly running in the background. Please fix

Black screen since the update. The application does not work anymore since the update. I have a blackscreen on the ipad always. I had to delete the app and reinstalled and it fixed the issue.

Crashes after iOS 8 upgrade.. Was working great, but since upgrading to iOS 8, it crashes every time I try to connect to my desktop. Needs an update, ASAP!! I paid good money for this app and expect it to work.

Greedy cheats!. I paid for your app. It's a feature I needed and I got. I don't need access to my computers from my iPad on my home network! I need it remotely. That's why I bought it. Before that was included in the app as part of the features. I upgraded as I do all my apps.... Now I have to pay a buck a month or 10 bucks a years for a feature that was included in the app before as part of the payment. I can't even downgrade!!! This is greed. Nothing more. It's not the cost, it's being duped into something against my will. Being given a fun little surprise after i've already downloaded and installed the new app. That's just shady and wrong. I'll be making a complaint to apple directly.

Crashfest. Absolute crap since the last update. Will not stay open long enough to connect, it keeps crashing. This used to be an amazing app, but now I can't even use it. Very disappointed.

Extremely laggy and unusable. Bought the 1 month subscription to connect remotely to my Windows desktop. However, it is laggy and basically unusable. I switched to a free service called TeamViewer and it works much better. Could not receive a refund as requested either.

Feel ripped off. Used free/demo version with 5 minute access using remote remote access. Purchased full version thinking that I would have the same features without the five limit access. Once I upgrade, the app prompted me to pay for remote access. Probably written in the somewhere in the fine print but not what I expected.

Great for the price. Works really well over wifi. Even video streaming is smooth and clear. Tried this over 3G and it's bearable. I'm sure there will be some updates and improvements in the future but in it's current state I have no complaints. I prefer this to teamviewer as it resized to fit the ipads screen.

Just what I wanted. This app works great with everything I have tried - Photoshop is a bit difficult to maneuver but with a pen, I'm sure it will be better (my next purchase). Just so cool to be able to access stuff on my computer from the iPad. My kids will do anything on the iPad, it makes everything fun. I haven't had any problems with audio or pictures but we don't use it for movies. Download the free version to see if it works for you. Love it!

Amazing. this app is amazing I was able to access my computer in minutes and it was really cool to be able to use it to play online games and watch videos without taking up extra space on my iPad. the responsiveness and clarity in outstanding and at only $1 it's a phenomenal deal. you should definitely buy this before the sale is over

Update = failure. Since interface update, only a black screen on remote machine. Worked great prior to update.

Keeps crashing. Have been using the app flawlessly for several years. Now whenever I try to use it starts to load then crashes. I have reset network settings, uninstalled and reinstalled with same results. Disappointing as this was my go to app to remote control and access my pc.

So easy to use. Anyone can use this yet it performs amazingly! I am blown away by how cheap it is. Not to mention flash runs great when you remote in to your PC. Seriously I guarantee this is worth every penny without a doubt.

Missing HD iPad Resolution Option. Please add a 2048x1536 option for default resolution when connecting. Right now I have to open the settings every time I connect on the PC and change the resolution to get an HD full screen experience. It works great after manually setting it, but it would save time & be much more convenient if the option was there.

I have a problem.. So I been remoting controlling my computer and it been great. But somehow, on my iPad, it just freezes. I thought it crashed unto, it went back to the choose the computer. Every min it freezes. How do I fix this?

Love this app. I’ve been using this app since it’s inception and is spot on the best. Desktop looks beautiful on my iPad. No need to have the computer with me when I have this. Splashtop is the best.

New version. The new version works great but it gave me a black screen, removing the app from my iPad and re-installing it resolved the issue.

Awesome, but.... The app has a tendency to hold onto old devices though they are offline and the app no longer remains on that device. There is no option to just remove any device from the list. Quite disappoint for me and my need for cleanliness and order.

A must have app. Very functional and well designed. Is straightforward and works precisely as advertised.

Best app. It’s really good, you’re not forced to pay a subscription and you can just access your computer on the go, it’s easy to figure out and use and it deserves a 5 star rating.

Stable - just works. There when I need it. Works well for Mac, Linux and Windows. Has saved me a few times when other solutions didn’t quite work.

Quit working. I can no longer click on an icon and get it to work. I can move the virtual mouse on the virtual desktop on my iPad, but when I should be able to select (single tap) or open (double tap) nothing happens. I have redownloaded.

Good, but also.... It is good over all, but when you connect it, it has a wide black border which i couldnt figure out how to get rid of. Other than that, it works well

Still missing external monitor support. I think this is the last Remote Desktop app that's missing external monitor support. Otherwise, everything works well.

Need full screen support for 12.9 iPad Pro. When I try to mirror the PC screen on my 12.9 iPad Pro, about 1/4 of the bottom screen is black. The resolution is also not 1920x1080p

Buyer be ware. If you want to try this, buy just the 30 period. Of course they will auto renew once decide it isn’t worth it. This is an absolutely terrible product. And good luck getting any hone support, because they won’t speak to you about this upgrade or show you how to unsubscribe. Deleting doesn’t tend the subscription. Shame because the first Splashtop was the best deal in the App Store and this pack is all about taking your money and not standing behind the product.

I love this app!. This app enables me to go onto any of my computers no matter where I am. The yearly fee is very low and worth every penny!

DISTORTED AUDIO ON IPAD. Super useful app. The only way for me to have a headless Mac mini setup for playing live midi VSTi. Only issue is, that it does something to the audio sample rate and any audio coming from the iPad sounds distorted. So I have to close this app before I play any audio plugin or any other audio source. I hope it gets fixed soon. Three stars until then from me.

It's the best (PC user). I'm a PC user and I use this to make iPad works as a tablet. I used Project Blue before but they have ended the beta version and now offering Astropad Studio with a ridiculous subscription price. Splashtop is definitely the best alternative and I'm really happy with it!

Was expecting different. It seemed like a really good low latency app, but I needed a free alternative so I could use my tablet as a new tool for graphic designing. I don’t have the money for the subscription but it’s good so far!

Has Worked great for several years for me.. I’ve used Splashtop fo several years to run an Excel spreadsheet remotely for my job, mostly when traveling. Works great! I’ve recently moved to an LTE iPad mini. Works fantastic!!!

Great remote access to computers,. Use it to all the time to acesss various computers from a print server to gram as computer to undo things she did. Desk top app is a buggy and will crash starting up a few time a week. But once it gets running, it is stable

Forget It. Tried to buy a one-year subscription and the on-screen keyboard failed to come up. When it finally did, it only worked for the first password entry. Would not appear for the confirmation password. I cancelled it but bet Apple will try to charge me for it. I was never able to activate this product but was indeed charged for it. Don’t take a chance on these jokers!

Overall it seems very good, but…. My only problem is the keyboard/mouse support on my iPad Pro 12.9” w/Magic keyboard is lacking. When I remote in to my Mac and try to use my development IDE, IntelliJ/VSCode, key combinations like Cmd+Shift+B and Cmd-Click, don’t work. Once this is fixed, this software would be my go to for using my Mac remotely from my iPad. Any help would be appreciated.

Don’t waste your money and time. All these 5 star reviews are fake!!!!! Don’t waste your money and time. The product does not work. The instructions are not clear. The website will take you in circles. The link does not download. I have been trying to get this 5hing to work for over 2 hours. This should not be difficult and time consuming. Honestly! Products like this should not be in the App Store.

Last update broke it. I can’t understand how you can release an update that breaks a core feature of the program. A tap on my iPad screen used to generate a mouse click at the point of the tap. Now all it does is BLINK on the screen. There are no mouse clicks anymore connecting to Windows 10 from iPad Pro. Please stop doing updates. Every update that you do makes the app worse. Pretty soon it won’t open at all.

Too many attempts to login. I have to get this program to sync with my tablet and pc several times and get kicked out too much. It pretty much works when it wants to. It wastes a lot of time for me trying to troubleshoot every time I want to use this program. I am not sure if I will continue my subscription. It would be great if it worked on the first try.

Cya LogMeIn Splashtop is the way to go. Works great to check up on computer of older people. Also works great with work computer to check up on it to see how processing is going.

Works great iPad Pro 10.5. Really happy with this. Bought anywhere access option and allows me to hook up to my 2 home Win 10 PCs. Streams video & audio just fine - other popular free app I tried would not stream audio from a connect device.

Good when it works. Needs update to fully support trackpad on iPadOS.. App works well but sometimes has issues. I wish they would update it more often. Now that iPad OS supports mouse and trackpad it would be so much more useful if the trackpad gestures actually worked when remote controlling a computer via Splashtop.

Resolution not fixed for iPad. Please don’t advertise in your pictures the iPad Pro Remote Desktop as full screen if it is not going to be opitimized for the iPad resolution. There is a massive black bar at the bottom because the resolution on iPad Pro isn’t optimized. Other than that it runs great but I just can’t ignore the fact the massive black bar that takes up a quarter of my screen.

Great for remote access. I’ve used this app while being driven down a country road in Argentina. I’ve used it on airplane WiFi. I’ve used it in hotels all over the world. Easy to use, stable, works great anywhere you have any kind of reasonable (3G or better) bandwidth.

No full screen mode, huge amount of wasted space on ipad 12.9. Fairly useless if you have the magic keyboard, doesn’t appear to be a way to use the entire ipad screen like any other RDP app, so about a quarter of the screen is wasted black space at the bottom. This seems to be a bug with the option for 2048x1536 resolution missing?

Laden with bugs...Won’t stop crashing. I wanted to love this app. It’s a great idea. However, it crashes every time I try to open up the shortcuts bar. Really irritating. This is the reason why I went with this app over Screens, so if that feature isn’t going to work, then I am going back to Screens...How do I get my money back?

Works great for DAW control. After having one DAW control app become obsolete due to ios11, and trying two others that didn’t work, Splashtop works wonderfully for controllingCakewalk Sonar on a PC.

BLOWN AWAY. FINALLY a Remote Desktop solution from the 21st century. This thing shines especially on Windows. Make sure that you enable the Windows 10 native touch feature in the App Settings. Do that, and magic happens: Pinch and zoom, iOS-like scrolling turns your iPad into pretty much a Surface. And if you're using it within the same network, the lag is minimal. Thank you Splashtop! Now excuse me while I go find my jaw that fell somewhere...

Almost perfect. The app is great but sometimes it doesn’t show if a computer is online or not. A problem for wake on LAN.

Latest Update Crashes. Using iPad Air M1 connecting to Mac Mini. Has worked without issue for over a decade. Crashes when initiating connection to Mini. I use it everyday, all the time and now I’m stuck

Previously this app was greatness. This version has been a complete pain. I liked having the auto suggestion keyboard… gone. And now when I get disconnected from my sessions and try to reconnect, the soft keyboard does not work.

ZERO stars. Warning to Apple Pencil users: do not use this app unless you want to ruin your iPad. Splashtop hijacked my Apple Pencil and disabled it. Even deleting the app, rebooting my iPad and installing the latest IOS did not restore it. I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THIS IPAD PRO AND PENCIL AND NOW I CANNOT USE IT 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 My only hope is that Apple can help me, but they will probably want to reset my ipad to factory. TWO YEARS WORTH OF WORK DOWN THE DRAIN! Thanks a lot. 😖
