Great app for repair on the road. I am on my first day of Biking Across Kansas and my brake has been dragging all day. I bought the app and fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes. The week will go much better now.

Good app- could be better. Much if what the app does cover it covers well, with good illustrations. I would like to see some more advanced topics, and less "visit you bike shop." I'm not much of a mechanic- but this is why I have this app, and much of the tutorials are on very basic things. Also would love to see some info on fixed gear bikes- maybe switching from freewheeling to fixed, etc. But mainly, more info and less suggestion to visit my shop.

Good for basic adjustments. Good decision tree to isolate the problem. Nice full-screen pictures. A good source for folks who are new to doing their own wrenching. Looking foreward to the addition of a tutorial on wheel truing. Please consider an update for the iPad. Using the 2X function pixelates things pretty badly.

Great app, not only for repair, but also keeping track of parts.. I have been using this app for a while now and have found it very handy to remind myself of the procedure for most common bike repairs/adjustments. This app does not have guides for more advanced repairs, but what it does have it does very well. Clear pictures and instructions. I especially like the "My Bikes" section, and was really the main reason I bought the app. I had been using a spreadsheet to keep track of all the parts on my various bikes, but this makes it much simpler to organize. And with the addition of the ability to duplicate and archive a section it makes it very easy to keep track of disposable components as well. The only reason I gave it four stars rather than five was a few interface quirks here and there, and the general feel that this app is not quite as polished as some others. I'm almost reluctant to knock it a star just cause the developer is extremely responsive and it is clear that this app is only going to get better and better. For me it has been very useful.

Gorgeous app. I'm sure that there are shortcomings in the content that will temper this effusiveness eventually. Nonetheless the pictures in the app are so superior to any of the three bike repair books I have that those alone make the app worthwhile. About the biggest complaint I could make and it was only by luck that it didn't bite me is that after the last upgrade the app required a separate download of new photos in order to open. Had I been without a fast connection or worse yet no connection and had to refer to the app I would have been stuck. That sort of thing should be part of the update process. Still I heartily recommend buying this app both on content and presentation.

Awesome app!!!. I love this app it is super useful. I haven't worked on my bike in ages I was too lazy so I just paid someone to do it for me. Well I got tired of waiting for my bike to be returned so I tried it myself and thanks to this app my Bike has a fresh tuneup with same day service. Great photos and simple step by step instructions. If you ride a bike and want to save a ton of money then buy this app and do it yourself. Truly awesome IMO!!!

Detailed step-by-step guides. This app is easy to navigate. It also gives you very detailed pictures to guide you step-by-step through the process of maintaining each part on a bike. I find that the My Bikes feature is also extremely useful and well worth the slight additional cost for the application. One thing that people should keep in mind, is that if they need to see a larger view of each picture, they can use iPhone Settings-General-Accessibility to enable the 'magnify' gesture. This app is a bargain at twice the price.

Mountain bike. Easy to lean to fix your bike. I have fixed my brakes on my mountain bike.

Just Ok. Task reminders Don’t work. Other than that it’s not a bad app.

Bike Repair 3.01 Good Job, some size limits. I just updated the instruction photos for Bike Repair, and I am very impressed. I used to run a used bicycle store, and I know that the major way to get the point across is to see a good picture or point out something on the bike itself. Many bicycling mechanical terms are unusual, and only apply to bikes. So any straight text explanation will be very confusing. Bike Repair has really good close-up photos, to look at before getting grease on your hands, so it's much easier, with likely success. They've put a lot in, while keeping the app fairly small. I gave the app 5 stars, as encouragement for the developers. It's a 4-star app that's headed in the right direction. Thus: 5 stars. Good Job.

Gonna cost you more$$$. Really nice and easy to follow. The best feature is the ability to keep track of your own bikes. Similar to a lot of car maintenance tracking apps. Be prepared though; this feature is required as an additional purchase. So in total this app will cost you more than just the initial price. I felt a little cheated. It's still really nice and worth having. I just wish I would have known up front. I still would have bought it but just don't like the feeling of being cheated. Either raise the price an extra dollar for full access or disclose upon purchase of the additional "my bike" option. Due to this alone it lost a star in my book but it truly is 5 star worthy.

This just works. Every problem I've ever had to deal with has always been covered by this app. Instructions are excellent step by step, and allow me to tackle maintenance issues as they arise without going to a shop needlessly. One of the best apps I've ever purchased, regularly updated too.

this app keeps getting better and better. I'll start by saying I rarely ever write reviews. I wanted to take a couple minutes to congratulate the people who have made this app. It keeps getting better and better. The tutorials are so helpful. I love the fact that you use Ultegra and XTR component as this is what I ride. Maintenance and repair steps are clearly documented and visualized with pictures. The app as a whole bunch of new items. Keep up the awesome work!!!

A Lifesaver!. The photos are clear, the instructions easy to see and understand. However, it really shines when you're out on the road twenty miles from home and something goes wrong. The photos and directions are easy to read in the sun. It'll get you back on the road quickly (but it won't keep your hands clean!) You can get help for most anything that needs fixing. Highly recommended.

Brilliant. I can think of nothing to make it better. I use this app and the My Bikes feature several times a week. Well worth the price. My Bikes helps you keep track of all the parts on all the bikes in your quiver, along with dimensions (seat tube diameter, for example), and relevant serial numbers. It has become my favorite part of this app. Someone complained the guides weren't clear or comprehensive, but that must be in comparison to one of the mighty books out there. As long as you keep in mind this is a hip-pocket app, you should be as happy as I am with it.

Must Have!!. I am on a police department where I ride a lot of bike patrols, and often times our bikes need some kind of repair before riding. Now I have everything I need to get the job done. It's a great app and so user friendly. You have both a written description as well as photo's making it so easy to understand. This is a great investment for any bike enthusiast!!

Why on earth did I buy this?. Seriously, I thought this was free and didn't look closely. Not worth it even if free. Total waste of money. Waste of my time even opening the app. Why does this even exist?

Done. This app has some useful features but don't count on it hanging on to anything you enter. Ever. I’ve lost the data I’ve entered/accumulated three times now and the developer always says it’s the ‘other guys fault’...whoever that may be. In some cases the developer simply blames the user - anything other than himself! You know, other developers have managed to figure out how to write apps that synchronize across devices and have data sanctity. None of that here! Every now and then a new and mostly useless feature is added instead!

Lacks Focus, Very Basic. I get to the point.. It could be much better focused. Not enough depth. I'm not so concerned as what to wear in the cold or links to online cycling mags. These seem like filler. I want more in depth of what the title says, Bicycle Repair. Yes a journal for ones bicycles is useful and the app looks nice but I need to rebuild my bottom bracket and nothing about that or many other subjects here. I guess I'm expecting a Park Tool guide but honestly the title should be called something different sorry.

Limited. Great Still. This app has great potential. Really am impressed with it but feel that it's limited with repair guides. I would think that the purpose of the app is to provide users a "all in one app" experience of repair guides to pretty much any part of a bike that might need repair such as replacing cable housing or other parts shown in the glossary page of the app. There is also the useful tips that should be included for someone unsure what kind of a bike they should get. The differences between hybrid, mountain, road, etc. I would hope that the updates of the app would be addition of repair guides than just fixing bugs.

Useless. This app is a waste of money. I was unable to find a bleeding hydraulic brakes and removing cassette - basic procedures. Instead it has a bunch of useless features like what to wear, notes, weather, etc etc that I can find on a million other apps.

Awesome resource. This is the second time in about five or so years that I’ve had to change the rear tube and tire. Both times, I get the wheel off, replace the tube and tire and then am mystified about how to get the wheel back on. There’s always a bit more to figure out (because I’ve never set the derailer correctly before taking the wheel off!) but your pictures and description are a lifesaver. Within just a few minutes the mystery has been solved. Thank you so much!

Excellent Bike Repair Resource. I'm a guy, who for years, bought and used bike manuals for repair and maintenance of my road and hybrid bikes. Since buying this ap, it's all I use now. It's easy to follow, gets right to the problem or issue, and solves those problems and issues with ease. If you like to take care of your bikes, buy this ap, period. Don't waste any more time thumbing thru books and not finding exactly what you need to get your bike on the road or trail again.

Good quality and photos very helpful.. The training modules may occasionally seem rather basic (Not necessarily a bad thing). But they are well thought out and straight forward with great photos. I don't usually rate apps, but I have used this one and it is very effective.

A great resource, for weather, repair, and maintenance. Half of my ride group uses this app for planning what to wear, each time we ride. Particularly the 10,000+ mile per year cyclists. It is easy to see what combination of clothing will keep you warm, from 30F on up, in roughly 5 degree increments. The maintenance section covers tasks from helmet and rider fittings to free hub overhauls. Then you can configure your bike in the app to log your own maintenance.

Practical App. This is a good practical app. I think the editing of your bike can improve, maybe export the information or a solid save function. When you input all the information the app has a search function for you bike. This is a nice feature but if I go to one site I would like to open it full screen. Easy to read directions with pictures could only improve by using videos, watching things in motion allows a better understanding of the material. Just some thoughts to improve an already excellent app for the bike enthusiast.

Good basic guide. I've been curious about the level of detail in this app and when it went on sale I went ahead and downloaded it. This app is not anywhere near Zinn-level detail. If you are hoping for that level, you will be disappointed. But it is a good guide for people who are at the level of "how do you adjust a derailler."

Best bike accessory for the money. I am a casual mountain biker and don't spend as much time riding as I would like. In spite of that, this app is one of my very favorite. It has given me the confidence to use my moderate mechanical abilities to repair my family's bikes. The money saved in a couple weeks has been considerable. The developer responded within a day to a request for directions on bleeding hydraulic brakes. I look forward to getting that in the next update. By the way, the graphics are great too!

Such a useful tool when talking to anyone about your bike. I use this when I am finding parts. I use this when I am airing up my tires. I use this when checking the pressure and setup of my front fork. This app is so useful! The latest update has made it even more amazing. Love this app.

Great resource for this "newbie". Although I've been riding since I was 5, only recently decided I have to learn to take care of my bike myself and not rely solely on my husband to keep my bike in shape. This app is a great tool for quick trouble-shooting on the road and also provides really useful tips for better form and trouble-shooting pains caused by bad form. Thank you!

Great way to keep track of parts and maintenance. Since I have seven bikes, always in various stages of repair, this is a great tool to keep track of parts and maintenance. However, I stopped using it because I could not get it to sync via the cloud across devices. Though I intend on updating the records on my phone, since that is the most portable and useful device of mine for this application, repeating the info in my iPad is rather tedious so I may not bother. It's unfortunate because I prefer using that visually when I am home. I see no recent reviews of this app here, which kind of makes me feel like the developers are not updating this and may have abandoned the project. This is a shame, it's truly a helpful tool and has a lot of potential.

Great of wilderness travel. Thanks I love your app as we are bike travelers and many time have to do repairs we really don't understand because we don't have tools and we are in the middle of no where.  Our last adventure was mileage over 1000 with almost all on dirt in Northern Canada. Had a question and he was very quick to answer. Great app just to look at during a break while biking. Keep up the exceptional work. Thanks for all your work.

AWESOME APP. Equally useful for both mountain and road bikes. This guide is excellent for beginners. Detailed descriptions of general maintenance and even dives into more advanced repairs. When "serious" problems are encountered the app might suggest you go to a bike shop so you don't ruin your bike :) This app has saved me several trips to the shop. Easy to navigate and well laid out. You won't be disappointed.

This is great. Very reasonably priced way to track every for all the bikes.

Useful tool for everyday maintenance. I ride every day, and do most my own upkeep on my two bikes. This app won't replace more comprehensive books, but it does a great job at showing step by step instructions for basic repairs with clear images to assist. I liked this enough that I bought the iPad version as well - the larger pictures make a difference when looking at complex parts. Kudos to the developer for being so responsive to users. This alone makes it worth the purchase price!

Great App for bike riders. Would like to see an update with more information added.. Great app for anybody who loves to ride a bike, but sense I upgraded to IOS6 it locks up. Please fix soon.

An essential tool. Besides a spare tube, patch kit, tire levers and a multi-tool, I carry this app prominent on my iPhone. It's my teacher and maintenance coach. On those few occasions I'm in a bike repair shop it gives me street cred with the bike mechanics! V5.0 suggests what to wear at any temperature range. I like this new feature as it takes the guesswork and endless second guessing what layers of clothing should make up my ride outfit for the day. At the end of the ride I can edit my choices so the next ride better matches the conditions.

Smart Simplicity. So far I'm really enjoying this app. I just recently purchased my bike and used this app to get to know my equipment. Plus it will come in handy in the event I need while out on a ride. With all it's helpful insight and depth they have managed to keep the user interface clean and simple which makes navigation a breeze. Highly recommended. Thanks!

Great easy quick repair reference.. For home bike repair, this is a great reference. Easy to view pictures, well thought out layout and easy to read text. Very intuitive fault tree and overall user interface. Nice to have in garage or on bike trail for an easy to reach reference source. Nice feature includes having variety of brake and stem design options for selection. Be nice to merge bike sizing with this app, and to add wheel truing tutorial as mentioned before. In time, look forward to more complex and detailed tuning and adjustment tasks. Good job Patrick.

It good help on the go. Good app to get you out of trouble while on the go. It forces you to become familiar with your bikes, which is great.

Great Ride Insurance!. A complete and easy to use app. I don't get to ride as much as I like, so it is reassuring to have this app in my pocket for the things I forget how to do or just need a little advice for emergencies or proper maintenance. Lots of apps out there, but this is the best. Constant updates and improvements keep it up to date.

Amazing!. This app is truly incredible. The step by step text is easy for a non mechanical person. The pictures are really accurate and relevant. Recently I have been clocking about 30 miles a day and have come across many problem that I have had to go to the local bike repair shop to fix. Just looking I've this app shows that if only I had this app before hand I would have known how to deal with the issues.

Organized. It forces the bike owner to become familiar with the various components in order to complete the My Bike section. I'm impressed the evolution this app and would heartily recommend biker's of any skill level. In it's earlier releases a lot of the information was pretty basic but has become more advanced with each subsequent update. Great app.

Saved me time & $$. I just bought a Tri bike package deal, but have no experience with road bike... Instead of having to take my bike back up to the shop for my first tune up, I was able to tighten brakes, rear derailer and adjust front fork alignment with easy to follow step by step instructions! Awesome... I was doubtful at first, but now I am a believer.

One of my biking "musts". Heard about this app via a FB post by a local bike shop. Probably the best 3 bucks I've spent in quite a while. Lots of pictures, and steps are explained in plain English without using esoteric terminology. Well organized, tons of info. Have recommended this to other cycling friends.

Awesome. I got this app a long time ago, and had not used it. I needed it today, and there it was on my phone. It is awesome. Easy navigation so that I could easily diagnose the problem, and then to fix it there were clear instructions and photographs. Excellent App!

Good price. Nice app can save money for sure....if you have an iPhone or iPod touch and later buy an iPad contact the developer about the iPad version for a copy of it. :). Still think this should be a universal app with a higher price to compensate for it but this is fine too, just like as few apps as possible to manage.

Repairing beats calling. As a first-year road biker, I am somewhat intimidated by the possibility of being stranded on a country road with a broken bike that could easily be fixed by someone with a little know-how, which is not me. Using my phone to solve the problem rather than calling my wife to retrieve me is the better option. That’s why I was excited to find an App for my iPhone that lets me carry on rides an easy-to-understand, step-by-step, visual guide for fixing just about anything on a bike. New interface is a step down. Whilst the new menu looks ok the guides are now a pain to read due to the dark blue shading & has an ugly look overall. Thankfully you can revert to the old interface via the settings menu yet that has its issues too - it could be slicker and more professional The information within the app is invaluable though so its hard to criticise it too much

A must have for any cyclist. A fantastic app and easy to understand even for those with no mechanical knowledge can now do most bike adjustments with total confidence, will save hundreds of dollars and eliminate those niggles in between times.

Not bad. Pretty good app. Some more in depth guides, like removing the bottom bracket and adjusting hydraulic disc breaks would be great.

Doesn't work - don't buy!. The demo only has info on handlebars and it looked pretty good so I took a punt and paid for the full version. It didn't work at first so I deleted restarted my iPhone and reinstalled it. But still no luck. This app doesn't work at all. Until it does, don't come near it.

Great little app. As someone getting back into cycling after 20 years, this is a great little app. Lots of it is common sense. But having a central little place to go check so something out is a great idea. No issues from me and if you are a novice or just need a little help I'd highly recommend it.

The best bike repair app out there!. This app makes it very easy for me to repair my bike without having to take it in for $$ services. Instructions are very clear. If you have problems with your gears clicking this is the app you need!

Worth it. A great app for the price - it won't ever completely replace a book or someone showing you how to do it, but definitely the best app out there for DIY bike maintenance.

Not really excited that you need to get additional module for My BIkes - I think this is cheating... When we buy apps on iTunes we expect upgrades to be free not sold as modules.

Easy to use. I love how you have the text steps to get started and then a visual guide if you need it. Super useful app.

Very helpful. This app has pretty much every problem on your bike, rehanging from small problems to larger problems, it also gives helpful tips to take better care of your bike.

Good app. Interface and general polish could be improved, but it has saved me a few times and actually covers a very wide array of topics.

Great. If you know a lot about bike repair you may not need this. Although it does help you track all the parts you have added or upgraded on your all your bikes. If you just need some help to fix your bike this can show you step by step all the way.

L'application velo à avoir!. J'aime trop cette app. C'est sûrement l'application d'entretien de Vélo la plus complète. Actualité, entretien, réponse à des questions, gestion de problème, comparateur de prix et plusieurs autres sont de la partie.

Excellente app, très utile. Très pertinent pour l'apprenti mécano. Explique étape par étape, avec des photos, comment ajuster, entretenir ou réparer les principales composantes du vélo. Propose parfois des alternatives à certains outils spécialisés. Très bien fait!

Very helpful. Everybody has occasional problems with their bike and this app helps fix the problems whether it be tightening a bolt to repairing the brakes. Highly recommended app

Bike Data does not Persist. Too often when I enter data or new data fields, the text gets lost when I click 'done.' There's already little value to storing so much info; with the text not persisting, this app has been only a waste of time. YouTube repair videos are equally searchable.

Looks good. Just looked it over. Looks good but pretty basic. Look forward to an update that may include pulling BB's bleeding brakes tubless tire tips suspension fine adjusting replacing hub bearings etc.

Too basic. I guess if you are new to the sport, this app would be beneficial, but if you have the basic skills its not for you...

Application utile et pratique. Fonctionnent amélioré depuis la dernière version. Plus on utilise l'application plus on découvre le potentiel utilitaire lorsqu'on possède plusieurs vélo. Tous les composants peuvent y être enregistrés avec les dates de service faits, ce qui est pratique lorsque nous avons besoin de pièces de remplacement. Ça devient alors facile de connaître la durée de vie de pièces qui s'usent et de planifier l'entretien avec la fonction rappel. Je ne m'en passerais plus. Charles E. Langlois

Great again today. I don’t repair my bike myself every time. But today I had to adjust my front derailleur and the app told me exactly how to do it with nice pictures and everything is working great now! I reach for this when needed and over the years it has proved its worth more than almost any other real world app. Thanks!

Awesome, i recommend it :D. I needed to adjust my front gear because it was rubbing against my chain and causing noise and friction. At first, I though it would be really hard but thanks to this application I learned an easy way to fix it. It worked great. If you want to know how to fix a problem (like mine) use this app ;)

Very very useful. U do 90% of all my own work cars boats etc, but the holy derailiuer was something I would not touch, until now this app walked me through and Ended up with a fantastic shifting set up! East app great price !

Great app. This app is amazing.. It really helped me tune up my bike after a year where i logged a few hundred miles on it. It was also great because I love to mess with my bike to make it run better and this was the perfect app for it.

Takes forever to load new pictures. No pictures in the app because I have to load them. Took forever then it restarted when u switched to another app. Looks like it would be good with photos of course.

I like it. I can usually fix bikes when something breaks. This is great for the necessary adjustments where i dont do so well.

Very handy. This is very handy and I love having all this data in my pocket! It's very easy to use and has a lot of info that I have used when diagnosing random issues I've had.

Useful. Good info and easy to follow, even for someone w little repair experience. Some curious phrasing in the instructions sometimes- "your will get dirty" for an arrow pointing to dirty fingers, and "turn clockwise the screw" but this does not get in the way. Well done

Very basic. This app is ok if you're brand new to biking. It shows you things like cleaning your chain, etc., but if you need something more difficult, yet common, like fixing a bent derailler hanger it refers you to your local bike shop. Addendum: sorry, I had not opened every part of the app. It actually covers much more than I thought. I apologize. If ur a mountain biker the mountain bike app is better, but this one is also good.

Bike app. It's been great.... Especially when you're not anywhere near a bike shop... In fact, now I can tune up my bike with more precision then a bike shop... Easy to follow instruction with pictures for us amateurs... It's like a bike repair for dummies!

Improvements would go a long way. Under My Bikes, Needs to pull stock parts of a bike from a database so I don't have to enter the, manually for each bike. Would be useful if it could record distance traveled based on phone GPS for mile based reminders.

Great app. This app is very handy to have around. It gives me confidence to take on small projects by myself instead of running to the bike store for every little thing. Well worth the relatively small cost.

Best all-around cycling information app. If you need cycling information quickly on almost anything, this is the place to go. If I could have one cycling app, this would be the one.

Don't waste your money. For the money I thought this would be more complete. I've been wrenching on my bikes for quite a while now and am disappointed with the lack of detail. Also in many cases there are missing key steps, or just plain wrong statements. The Internet is free and is waaaay more helpful than this app.

Great App. It has instructions for most of the basic maintenance. The info is step by step with clear photos. There are other features which I haven't explored. Overall, I think the app is very helpfull

Great app!. Saved me a lot of money on repairs and allowed me to diagnose and repair problems (like disc brake wear and derailleur adjustment) that I thought I would just have to live with. Video would be a nice feature, but the current app is solid.

Best App I Ever Bought!. While not mechanically inclined, the step-by-step guides and diagrams make things easy! My kids now think I can fix anything wrong with their bikes - and with this app...I can!

Very Cursory Content for Paid-app. Layout/Design good. But the content (eg, instructional guides for various maintence/upgrade/repair jobs) is limited to the most basic of tasks. And the instructions for tasks that are available are very cursory (almost no options to specify particular systems, like bottom bracket types). Good layout but there are a bunch of free apps that are much more helpful. Seacrest Out.

Great help to me. This app is a great help to me whenever I need to fix my bike. It's picture based instructions help me know exactly what to change and what to leave alone. All in all a very helpful app.

Well worth it!. My bike was recently given a "deluxe service" recently at a cost of over $100, but came back making a weird sound when shifting. I'm a bike enthusiast but not particularly mechanically inclined - this app helped me sort it out - it was well worth it! Highly recommended

Needs an update for IOS 6. It worked fine before I updated my Iphone. Now, the initial screen appears and seems to hang since I can swipe to submenus. This happened just when I had a problem with my derailleur and wanted to use it of course.

Excellent for any road bike owner. The step by step guides with photos are great. The grammar could use some improvement, but it doesn't interfere with the usefulness of the app. I would love to continue to see more added but it's great as it is. Get it!

Fantastic App. This app has it all. Got a problem and don't know the vocabulary to search for it? There's easy-to-follow directions for most bike issues. In addition, there's a glossary, clothing suggestions, and a place to update your own bicycle parts.
