Cumbersome. I would much rather be able to pinch larger or smaller as the other readers on the iPad allow me to do. Trying to get the menu to appear can also be an exercise in frustration as the pages then jump ahead or back. I found that just one of the incremental iPad updates helped stabilize the reader too early on.

Great reading app!. Very user friendly, all the options. I love the bar showing how far you are into the book at the bottom, and you can just click on the screen to get a % and see options 😁

Disappointed!. I'm regularly using eBookreader on macOS. I never find any issues or problems. But in iOS, I got an issue that screen blue. When I tap to read pdf book full screen blur if I zoom that still on blur. And if I open in iBook, it's fine!

It is an excellent app.. This Ebook Reader is one of the best out there. I use several different types for various uses including graduate school. This one is the most universal by far. The best part is, that it is free without all of the messy adds. Thank you for providing such a wonderful reading tool.

Barely adequate. I want to be able to read ebooks without supporting large corporations, and this app is one of the few ways to do that. Unfortunately, the app is terrible. *No option to view in 2 columns (like a physical book) *Progress and bookmarks don't sync across devices linked to the same account *Progress frequently resets, meaning I lose my place if I didn't recently bookmark *No dictionary or web search capability *No capability to search selected text within the book (you can type in a word or phrase to search within the book, but not select and search) *No capability to copy selected text *Highlighting is difficult to place the cursors; it seems like more effort was put into making the end result look like a "real" highlighter than into the functionality of highlighting I give it two stars because I will continue to use it. But if there were another independent online bookstore with as large a catalog, I'd ditch this one.

Works also on older iDevices. This app supports also iOS 8 which means you can use it on that old iPad mini, giving it a new life as eReader.

Edges of pages getting cut off. I’m using both an iPhone and iPad with this app. There are control bars top and bottom that cut off several sentences. I have to take the font down to 75 percent to read the edges. Not good, considering these are textbooks.

#DABEST. I adore this app almost every day I read it and it is amazing The only bad thing is some pages are a bit shaky everything else is awesome ❤️❤️❤️

Love it…..BUT. Love this e reader in my humble opinion it’s the best one on here. It’s free and easy to use however when I try to delete books that I don’t need it puts them right back on my shelf after deletion. I wish you would fix this. If I want to get rid of it it should stay gone.

I Like it!. I really like the book shelf view. The only reason I am not giving a higher rating is that I have not been able to focus on reading more often until now. I will give a better review as I learn everything I can about it’s limitations. I would love to have all my ebooks, ibooks, and audiobooks on this book shelf format so I can experience it as I do my study with its multiple book shelves. So, an ebook shelf, an ibook shelf, and an audio book shelf with an interface that you could view them all and select the shelf you wanted to open a book from would be really cool.

Worth downloading but.... I got this app to supplement iBooks. It works great. Easy to use interface and the variety of formats you can download from are what drew me to it. I have used it for only 1 month and noticed an issue. I can’t see the reference pics that my ePub books have. Might just my inexperience. Worth the download.

It has possibilities, but the iOS interface is clunky. Upon downloading, I opened one of the pre-loaded books by accident and can find no obvious way to close it. The documentation addresses installation but not use. The Kindle interface looks better, but I’m ditching this app altogether.

Can not switch between devices. I like to read on a tablet when home and pick up where I left off on my phone when out. But this app will not sync read pages between devices.

Unusable on my older ipads. Among several defects, what earns this app the 1 star and the judgement "unusable" is the top line of every page is unreadable! Using the larger font, and oriented either way, there is no way to get rid of the menu items and colored bar at the top of each page. There used to be the same problem at the bottom of the page, so the last line was obscured by the menu bar, but clicking in the middle of the page in this new version properly disappears that lower menu bar. So this version is "twice as good"! Still unusable.

Hate the display. Tried to change from a light background with dark writing to the opposite, and it only works for the title pages, which is worthless. I find the vertical scrolling very annoying, given that I am used to other reading formats where you scroll left and right. So far I hate this, but the books that I bought for it are only available on this and not on Kindle. :(

It's over - find something else. After updating to iOS 11.1.2 from iOS 10 this app kept crashing. Updated to the latest version of this app today and now I cannot open any of my pdf files. Time to find another application. This used to be an excellent app but it appears those days are over!

Great Possibilities. I use this app a great deal and I enjoy it. Some of my books do not have the cover art. That would be nice. Otherwise, the latest updates work well. I still use this app everyday. The latest update has significantly changed the font sizes. The difference between 100% and 125% seems extreme. It is more like 300 or 400%.

So any glitches can’t even use it. It has so many glitches it’s impossible to use. Every time I want to turn to the next page it keeps flipping back to the previous page. I sometimes have to flip the same page 5-7 times before it sticks. I got 660 pages to read for school, this is a total time waster. Then it doesn’t let you highlight sections. It freezes. It’s just so not worth it. I updated my software, turned off and on my iPad, the glitches remain. Wished I could give a better review, seems like a great program if it would just work.

A very good private library.. I ve always wanted my own library, now I ve even have a nice one with (always dusted) shelves in the library. Now I just need to find a suitable chair and per chance a wine cooler. I know that my books are maintained professionally and are available on a moments notice. 20 August 2019: This app keeps getting better and better as time goes on. What I enjoy is being able to change both the background color and the text color. There re times when the color white gives me a major headache and inverting the white background doesn t really work because I white text. While the color change works for most of the books, it doesn t work for PDFs. However, doing a smart invert with the PDFs does change at least the white to a dark, dark blue background and a pale ivory text which (IMO) an immense improvement over most of the apps which only use black and white colors.

App crashes. This app worked great until it updated to the latest version and now when removing previous bookmarks or changing fonts, the app crashes. Please fix this.

Frustrating. This does NOT always save my place where I left off. I bookmark it and it always goes back to Ch 3 and when I look at the page bookmarked (thankfully it does that) I have to manually go to that page because there’s no way to click on the bookmarked page! And the slider at the bottom - when you slide to certain page it takes a few times to connect that you have to click arrow button! Sooo frustrating! 😡

Easy to use!. Easy to use! Can load most books and PDF Files. I don't care if a book fries not have a cover ....still nice!

New version has issues but not bad. The book now goes all the way to the Top of the screen so you can’t see the first line without dragging it down each time you turn your page and you can’t see the page number because that’s blocked by the bottom of the iPhone screen. Also in order to check the time you have to minimize the app.

Simple and Convenient. This my favorite ebook reader. The ebooks are easily and quickly reached and read. My only gripe is...when I download free pdf ebooks is that it is a fight to get this reader to come UP so the ebook can be sent to it. But...... once it is on oh how wonderful this reader is. Get it you won’t be disappointed.

Ebola reader. Flash for Apple: fix iBook. I'm retro-- I like click and drag. Adding ePub files is almost impossible...or I'm too stupid. Don't care. This solves the problem neatly and completely.

Disappointed customer. App shortcomings: can’t change font size, pages cut off at bottom of page when scrolling, page scrolling is terrible should be a page turn function and when returning to book after closing app my page is lost. Very poor quality product.

Best overall.. I downloaded this app because it was the only one to handle PDFs and EPubs. It became my preferred ebook reader! It looks a little dated, but works great! For some reason it doesn't remember the PDF page where I left off.

Update. Is there a reason your new update excluded iPhone users? I updated, then went to log in...pretty sure I had the right password....you said no. I hit the button to get my password and a continuous error comes up saying my device is rejecting the application.......answers please. I’ve got several $’s worth of books bought that I can’t access....,

Amazing portability but needs work on the pages. The app is great when it comes to portability and clarity of book pages but needs work on page by page user interface. Some of the paragraphs are cut off when you switch from a smaller font to a bigger font. Which is very important for your clients that have difficulty reading small prints.

It is a basic ereader app. It does what I supposed to do and uploads from apps or websites that allow you to download books. It is very good at having the books there when you open the app. Though, sometimes the books take awhile to open. And you can’t delete books once they have been added but I think that might be a new bug. While reading, it has some nice features you access like customizing the text, switching from light to dark modes, and changing the brightness. The biggest issue for me is the highlighting feature. It is slow, not accurate when trying to do the highlighting and erratic. And it doesn’t have a dictionary but you can save bookmarks and take notes.

No dictionary. No lookup words, no dictionary. When you select a word, you get only two options: cancel and highlight. There’s no copy command either maybe because of copyright? Copy right or DRM doesn’t make a lot of sense for law-abiding readers. DRM can not stop any one from using a second phone the display of another phone and run it through a scanner app to make a searchable content. I think I will stick with iBool.

Crash after ios11. After upgrading to ios11; it doesn't work well with my pdf books and crash during opening these files.

Very disappointing app. Unfortunately, I did not read the fine print when I bought a book from this seller. I am only able to read it, without paying for another app, on the website or it’s related app. Here’s something frustrating: I can enlarge the font, but the app is unresponsive to my touching the screen to scroll either up or down. No matter where I touch the screen, in the center, along the side of the screen, it doesn’t scroll. I tried to read the book on the website - for some odd reason I had to resign in to do so - and the text scrolls, but the site doesn’t provide a night version. There goes this month’s money on a new book. I will rebuy it - I assume there isn’t a refund option on eBooks given it’s limited Help and FAQ pages - next month for reading on one of the usual major corporation readers I use. Live and learn.

Love the App. I just add a PDF to the app and I can read I'm very satisfied with the app. I don't have to pay for books and it auto saves my page. I can take note and all that.

Didn’t have the book I was looking for. I gave this book 3 stars because it didn’t have the book I was looking for. I was looking for Seventeenth Summer and there weren’t any results maybe it’s because it is an old book also there wasn’t a wide rage of books to choose from but other than that it was good

Share and sync would make it perfect. Would really love to be able to share and sync my 3rd party added books across multiple devices. Aside from that, it’s a great app. Also, for some reason, it keeps having to be reauthorized, which means if I’m not near a WiFi connection, I can’t read my books. This is beyond frustrating!

Syncing issues and terrible interface. This app looks like an app made 8 years ago, the interface is absolutely terrible. On top of that, I downloaded a book onto my iPhones and when I went to download it onto my iPad it only had 150 of the 479 pages it’s supposed to have.

Page cutoff. This was my first purchase of a book to read on ereader. It’s a textbook. The page top and bottom are cutoff, print small, no way to enlarge the page to view charts etc. No response from the purchase company when I submitted a statement and asked for help or to offer a link to use with iBooks or Kindle

Update for new phones. On my old phone it was great but on iphone X i cannot read first two lines if I don’t move text. I hope you will fix it and put clock and other data in that upper part of screen like most of apps do

Poor. When I try to change the font size of the book I am reading it only changes the font size of a portion of the book (i.e., the preface, introduction, etc.). It does not actually change the font size of the chapters. Very frustrating. Additionally, the only way to scroll down to the bottom of the page and to continually see the bottom of the page is to keep my finger on my screen. If I don’t, the page scrolls up automatically and I cannot see the bottom of the page. Give me a break!

GREAT APP. I like this because not all my books are kindle and as I have a vision problem I can read them all by fixing the font

Not up to snuff. This reader offers tiny, medium, and very large text with big size jump between them. When I go from the two small text to one that is more comfortably sized, it leads to highly distracting gaps in the page because the app insists that the text be justified. My opinion on whether it should be justified or not it’s really the only one that counts, and in this case, removing the justification and letting it just flow normally from the left side of the page would make a far more readable document. I simply cannot see ordering any more items that I have to read with such an irritating viewer that is so missing the simple features that many many other apps have already made standard.

Not quite right for my iPhone XR. I have an iPhone XR and find it frustrating that to be able to get a larger font, the top line of the page disappears into the notch. I have to pull down the screen to read that line. I enlarged the font because the default size is around a 9. Small fonts are one of the reasons I moved to digital books as they can be so hard to read. Otherwise, so far, the app is ok although I love my other reading app used for libraries. This is for books I need to purchase for my book club that the library may not have in digital format. 4 stars because of the notch.

Glitchy. I wish the app was more simplified. I don’t need an entire color wheel just give me a handful of background choices. The app also would randomly skip forward or backward by dozens of pages and the options to return never worked.

It brings reading into an easy format.. I have found online, what can be an exhausting experience trying one reader and then another, the satisfaction in finding a comprehensive display eBook reader. Often, for me, the search has ended in further frustrations finding readers apps that are almost always accompanied with certain idiosyncrasies, a mixture of certain inconsistent rules that do not fit most all our varied choices. So far, in the 4 months of using this app on my iPad 3, this app has performed without fault. I deliberate on so many different subjects offered, that having a reader that does not have these common bugs ( so far in my experience ), it is a delight to have the confidence that what I download will nest itself in such a worthy reader. How I do desire that they would allow a search for titles or better yet displaying the titles with authors in single sentence list. Even a single sentence display list would be less annoying then to have to scroll through the vast collections of items I have imbedded into the reader. If you have not tried it, do! Super convenient and easy interface. I am reading my first eBook, one I received as a PDF, and downloaded this and the Kindle app to try to read. This app was convenient to download the PDF, it saves my place, I can read how I want, and it allows me to take notes and highlight. The Kindle seemed to only allow notes and highlights on their "official" downloads, and if I backed out of the program it did not keep the file. I also prefer the way the pages link together vertically so that I can smoothly transition between pages without having to do a sudden switch to horizontal swiping after scrolling vertically the whole page. Minus a star because sometimes highlighting can be awkward, and it's too easy to accidentally erased a highlight if two passages are close together, but that's a minor annoyance. This app for the win. P.S. Would be awesome if an update allowed for highlights of multiple colors!

Mostly Good. Not a bad e-reading app at all. I really like how much control I have over background and text color. The thing I wish they would change the most is scroll capabilities. I prefer to scroll down rather than “to flip” the page. I find it’s less of a break/distraction from reading.

Problem loading bookmark, highlights, notes.. When a page is bookmarked or notes are taken it reads as if it was never bookmarked and the reader has to start from the beginning in search of information highlighted or bookmarked.

Love this. App especially PDF files. I really enjoyed this app. It works very well when you have a PDF file. There is another app that has me open it in different places. “Sometimes kindle does not work well“ then I go to this app. I like the fact that I have my books in different places. I’m trying to work on other things but it is usually very navigational.

Reading experience poor. I bought the latest Lee Child novel which I want to read on my iPad. The text displays with no margin, meaning it extends to the black surround of the iPad screen, on all sides. Ifind this disconcerting. The displayed page is longer than the depth of the screen and has to be dragged up to see the next bit. Usually this is 2 or 3 Sections. If you tap on the right to turn the page before reaching the bottom you have missed a section or more. The font size control does not work on the text content, nor do the background and foreground colour controls. They work only on the list of chapters at the front. Not on the text content where they are needed. I found the text too small but couldn’t make it bigger. I won’t be buying any more books from this source.

Review. This app is so unfriendly and extremely difficult to use. I hate it. Sooooo frustrating.

Ok, but it keeps losing my page. The app seems ok, but whenever I re-open a book or look at a footnote, it returns me to the beginning of a chapter (if I’m lucky). Frequently losing my page like that is not an enjoyable way to read a book. The situation is not good when I’m even able to say that “paper would be better”. It unfortunate that buying books through this store locks me in to this reader. It pushes me to use other electronic book stores instead.

Don’t buy textbooks from site. Don’t waste your money buying textbooks from this site if you have an iPad Pro. I have to use this for uni - and I cant read the first 1-2 lines of each page top and last 1-2 lines bottom of each page.

Problem with search feature. The search feature doesn’t work in one of the two books I bought, i.e. “The Native Plants of the Sydney Region” by A Fairley and P Moore. I specifically bought the ebook to make searches easy so I am quite disappointed. Can you fix please.

Lacking compared to Apple Books. This works well with the demo books but the book I purchased doesn’t adapt to the app. The font doesn’t go big enough, the dark/light background doesn’t work, you scroll down a single page for a full chapter and have to keep your finger on the screen to keep your place. I doubt I’ll have the patience to finish the book I purchased.

Unable to change font size. As above. Layout for reading top to bottom cuts out words. Font size too small, unable to enlarge even after hit the buttons

Too small to read. Font resize doesn’t work. Please fix or refund my books.

Awful product. As other reviewers have said the top and bottom lines of the book are off the screen and it is very difficult, if not impossible to read a book using this app. I paid $17 for a book from Europe that in a digital form is only available via this app, so I shall be requesting a refund from eBook reader, because I cannot read the book

Better reader apps out there. This app doesn’t have a dictionary function and also had issues with skipping pages and losing the page I was up to after closing the reader - I asked for a refund and only received half back in return even though I requested it within the 7 days of purchase .... absolute pathetic customer service

Terrible. Most annoying thing about using this app is words being cut off at the end of the line and continuing onto the next line. Really needs updating to make more user friendly.

Barely usable. This app seems stuck in 2008. One could forgive the poor user interface but it is hard to suffer through its inability to keep track of the page you were reading when you lock your phone.

Ebook reader review - not much good. The line height chosen by the ap is too small. You can’t adjust the font size directly, but only small or too big. I found this a clunky reader.

Hopeless. Had to get this read for a book I purchased. Utterly useless. I can’t get it to do anything other than bring up the cover. Not happy as I had to use this app with my book purchase

Ebook reader. A dictionary is sorely missing

Good book library without Amazon’s silly country limits, but still frustrating to use. The library is good, but the origram is primitive and underdeveloped, and very frustrating ti use, as it keeps jumping to other chapters instead of the next page, bookmarks don’t work well and the top of the page is obscured in the latest iPhones. I am only uding it because there are so many books you can’t access in Amazon’s kindle because of its stupid country restrictions.

The print is too small. Not only the print is too small but I find when you're trying to scroll down, it jumps all over the place and won't let you pause to read the lines adequately, you have to hold the page in the place you want to read.

EReader. Easy to use with basic computer knowledge. No bells or whistles which I like.

Was great but.... It was a really good app but now it keeps force closing before I can even open a book

Prepare to be annoyed. The main problem I have with this app is how it scrolls pages. Instead of allowing you to gradually scroll down, it makes these fixed jumps and I instantly lose my thought process and where I was. It has basically made using the app extremely annoying and I wish the book I purchased wasn’t bound to this piece of software.

If you enjoy pain you’ll love this app. Mate, the pain I have suffered due to this apps inability to display a book on a screen. I ought a tell ya.. UNREAL

Not user friendly. Clunky to use and not user friendly. When scrolling down, have to scroll in chunks/pages, can’t scroll line by line. Also the page number doesn’t correspond to the hard copy. Regret buying the ebook, should have stuck to hard copy.

Scrolling. The app does not have a scroll feature. So you cannot continually read without having to “flip the page”. I like that you have a wide colour palette of font and background colours to choose from. You can also easily see all the text you’ve highlighted in a special tab.

Second rate reader. This reader is quite poor and buggy. It is very frustrating and I have stopped buying books from them. It does not perform anywhere near as well as the rival bookseller apps. This one should be replaced with a more professional app.

Menu bars. The menu bars are hard to find and once you've found them, hard to hide, cutting off the top and bottom few lines of the page. I keep losing my place. I have used better apps for this type of thing, but could only use this one for the book I wanted to read, so had to go with it.

Could be better. Why have so many different fonts? Why so many different colours for backgrounds and typefaces? Always have trouble finding my books but getting used to it now. Seems a little complicated when it could be more simple, for example; most people just want to find a book easily, pay for it, and read it. Not all the rigmarole in downloading, choosing different options etc.

Awful!. I can’t download e-books purchased from 3rd party sites as specified in the app description. The user interface is not very friendly either!

Okay sometimes. This app is okay for most books but there are some books where there is no control over font size and the chapters are one continuous page with no margins. I find Lee Child books often at fault but there are probably others. Also synchronisation doesn’t work so can’t swap between devices to read same book. Some fixes to this app need to be applied.

Great app. All my books look and work wonderfully. This app is definitely well worth it.

Abomination. After using this application I started to appreciate DRM removal softwares The application will give you different page numbers between desktop view and iPhone view for example if you are reading using your desktop and stoped at page 51 and you won’t continue reading using your iPhone page 51 is a different page than desktop. Slow, not responsive and if your finger rich the side of the screen it will take you up the very far end of the book. Search bar is the worst ever it won’t recognise your search unless you type exactly what’s in the book

Never saves page. This app spoils my reading pleasure as it never save the page. When you bookmark a page it shows it listed, however it only ever takes you back to page 1 I am using an ipad mini.

Font sizing not working on script. Hi, we found when using adjustable font size this only works across title pages and not the script itself. This is very frustrating as I am not able to read the standard size.

Very frustrating. The app is really difficult to use as it doesn’t hold your place on the page. When you scroll and remove your finger from the screen the page scrolls by varying amounts. I wouldn’t choose to use it again unless I know this aspect has been improved.

Frustrating and awful to use on iPhoneX. I have to use this Ebook reader for studying from a postgraduate university text and the only device I can read from, except from a laptop, is my iPhoneX. This app is not designed with this phone in mind. The text starts at the very top of the screen meaning you can’t read the first 1 or 2 lines because of the cutout. The menu is at the very bottom of the screen meaning the home ‘button’ of the phone triggers instead of the scroll bar. It’s impossible to navigate the book I’m using as the table of contents is blank in the menu. Incredibly frustrating!!!!

POOR. Not a very user friendly app.

Average. It's a reader without many bells and whistles. Basically, it's not a kindle.

Great app. One of the features I appreciate most is the ability to read on tinted pages, rather than blinding whitescreen. This is what keeps me using this as my 'go to' reader

Really needs a dictionary. In most other apps I can highlight a word and look it up. Why not this one?

Better than Adobe DE. The eBooks app works for me was expected every time and supports reading on a small screen better than most other readers, like Adobe Digital Editions.

Has stopped opening. My E book reader has suddenly stopped opening. Closes straight away. Was previously very good.

Moonstone. The inability to be able to change the case and size of the script is very annoying. If you can make changes the experience would be more enjoyable.

Terrible!!!!!. Do not waste your money on this app!!! Bought an E Book, not cheap & all I get is 30 seconds of a blank page ever time I try to read it. If I could have given no stars I would have.

No books. Almost no books

Sorry but this is the worst ebook reader I've ever had the misfortune to use. Terrible usability. Doesn't sync across devices. Font size erratic. Just plain annoying.

scrolling does not work!. Please fix this, I have bought books that cannot be read easily because of this, surely ensuring text is not lost at the margins (top/bottom) of the pages is a basic requirement of such an app

Really awful on ipad. You can change the font (with way too many options) but not the line spacing or the padding around the page, so you end up with a Great Wall of text. Lines break in the middle or words making it impossible to read without jerking between lines. Probably the worst ereader I’ve seen and wouldn’t use if the book I wanted was availability on any other platform.

Really annoying. I purchased this app because it was the option given for a specific book I wanted to purchase. I wish I could’ve selected a different app. The bookmark is super annoying. It doesn’t stay on the page I’d bookmarked when I exit the app and so every time I go back to continue reading, I have to keep scrolling through all the pages trying to remember where I left off.

Appalling. Find any other way of securing an eBook. App is dreadful, virtually unreadable.

App crashes - no support. I downloaded two books but haven’t been able to read them because the app crashes when I try to open them. Support is nonexistent.

Love it! Does more than my previous ereader. It works pretty similar to the one I used to use but this one has a few more options. I especially like the ruler at the bottom that gives you an idea of where you’re at in the story without having to go to the main screen, it’s always there, something that only a paper book could give before. I find this app much more user friendly as well. Great job!

Happy but could be better. My favourite reader, but I wish I could rename and/or re-edit piles, if it can be done I haven't found the way to do it yet. If by mistake I put an article on the wrong pile or stack, it stays there forever and if I want to rearrange it is not possible But in general I find this a grate tool which helps me find other literature, I would otherwise never know the existence.

It’s ok. No dictionary, & difficult to go back mostly if there is a map to follow. I would like to be able to put a mark in order to go back don’t know how

Ereader. Easy to use. Wish I can align widow/orphan function and link to a dictionary. Appealing to the eye

Better than iBooks. There are so many customization options available. Love the ability to change page/font colours. Unable to change font style--app crashes when I select that option (happened after updating to iOS 8). Would love to be able to create different "bookshelves" or collections, to better sort the various books I have.

Don’t buy from “ebooks” in the first place. If you do, this seems to be the only option. Trying to even get the menu up in the book feels like trying to perform some mysterious magical trick that works SOMETIMES and very rarely. Then trying to figure out how to get it on another device….. I’m not particularly skilled at these things but I have never had this much trouble. The instructions appear to be completely useless.

Good but could be amazing. Thinks I'd like to see: - ability to convert or export highlighted notes into email/doc/PDF - ability to enter page number (I'm reading a 1270 pg textbook and need to jump around to different pages during lecture quickly) - ability to sync and share files with other devices that also have Ebook reader on it - ability for links within a document to be accessed and directed to website/this app doesn't recognize links within a document - sometimes crashes or get a fail message when trying to transfer a PDF to Ebook reader It's almost perfect but I find that I still need to keep iBook app on my devices for certain features.

Souvent des documents que l'on ouvre l'application sont titrés avec une série de chiffres qui rend difficile l'identification de l'ouvrage. Il s'agirait de permettre de saisir un titre additionnel et également permettre de sélectionner ce titre ou le titre original aux fins de classement et de repérage.

Works perfectly. Excellent app. Simple, intuitive and robust. Just right.

Font won't adjust. Type is too small for comfortable reading. Using the font size control has no effect on it. Changing the font had no effect. I contacted ebooks and they recommended I switch to Bluefire Reader. It was a good app, but now ebooks won't download to Bluefire. Going to give up on ebooks.com altogether soon - not responsive to problems.

Alright 🙃. It's ok text could be bigger and maybe a voice so I can click and listen would be awesome!

Jan 2018 update deleted everything. That was pretty weird, removed everything and replaced the books with the collection of their stock Free books

Good but they messed up. Chapters being treated as one big page. Said they are "on it" however last update came out 5 months ago. Wasted good money on a book that's more inconvenient to read and not supported by other formats.

Difficult Formatting but Otherwise Fine. As an older reader, I’d have preferred a more book-like format that allowed for a brighter screen and bigger margins around the edges. But despite these minor inconveniences, I could still read what I bought!

Does the job!. Needed something I could open PDF files in and read, hi light and all that with ease. Works perfect and was easy too figure out :)

Stopped working. I was using it a lot and loved the app until it just stopped working. Now it's there but I can't access my books. Grrrrr! What can I do?

Just use iBooks.. I don’t really like the app because there just aren’t as many features as iBooks. It may sound like my review is just an ad for iBooks/Apple, but I’m just saying what I think.

Irritating. I find it awkward to navigate the app - like when I want I put a bookmark it'll try to highlight text instead. I get frustrated often with that kind of user unfriendliness.

Not easy reading. I do not like using this app for reading books. It does not keep my place when I have put a bookmark. If I touch the wrong place on the page, it will forward me to the next chapter, but when I go back to the previous chapter where I had been, it does not go to the place where I was last reading. Instead, it goes back to the beginning of the previous chapter. I find this app extremely frustrating when wanting to pick up a book to read on the go.

Why?. Why won't it open my highlights or bookmarks? It just kicks me out the app. It’s not even opening the book for ios11

Worse than Apple built in. Got books through a conference which can only be read or downloaded on this reader… used to Kindle and Apple Books reader. Does not seem to do next page correctly… tap on right side and on the book I’m reading it doesn’t always register like I’m at the end of the book or something… when a scroll past… if I accidentally press the edge it actually goes back to where it thinks the end is even several pages later. Very annoying to read this way… wish we could just upload the epubs to Apple Books or sync with Kindle reader

Limited books. There aren’t any good books

Does A Good Job. I don't know or care about bells and whistles! Nice choice of fonts, colours and bookmarks work! I recommend this to anyone.

Great app. Easy to use. Does exactly what I need it to do.

Ebook reader. It's lost some features that were useful, such a having the option of hiding books. There were other options in the original app that are lost in the following updates.

Book disappeared. The book i paid for disappeared, I wouldn’t be mad if i didn’t pay 30$ for a book

Bad UI. The app has a tendency not to split books into pages and instead treats each chapter as a giant page that you have to scroll through to read. As a result, it loses your page constantly if: (a) you rotate your device, (b) you leave the app for awhile and it refreshes, (c) you change books. Bookmarks do not help.

Very good app. The only problem for me is this app has no dictionary included it would have been very appreciated.

Pas mal. Les pages glissent rapidement. La synchronisation des signets ne s'effectue pas entre iPad et iPhone. Les marges sont inexistantes donc moins de confort de lecture. Il manque quelques paramètres pour être vraiment fonctionnel et d'agréable compagnie.

Pleased so far. Nowadays, many free apps are crippled or “bait ‘n switch” with in-app purchases, but not this one! It works well with side-loaded Ebooks overall and only hung up once on me (but after a quick app restart, I was on my way again).

Minor Bug. App is great, love the bookshelf layout and it’s super easy to add books to it. Only issue is, when I try and delete book files from my library, they disappear, when i close the app and reopen it, the files are there again. I have deleted them in my files app so they shouldn’t have reinstalled. Please fix this!

Crashes. I loved this app until I download the new iOS for my iPhone. Now the app will open, then crash/close before I can click on one of my saved readings. I deleted the app and downloaded it again but just lost all the books and readings I saved. Not happy.

Near to perfect. If only you add extra few colours of highlighting and rearrange the books by its type

Terrible. Avoid this app if you can. It constantly reverts to the beginning of a chapter, it doesn’t support text to speech and just generally is not close to ease of use of its competition.

Crashes constantly. Besides being completely unusable, the colors seem nice, but it is hard to tell, it crashes immediately.

Garbage. Contents doesn’t work. If download PDF have to use adobe crap, but at least content pages work. Wish this ebook was sold somewhere else.

bordering on illegibility. the tightness of the line height renders the copy unreadable. scaling the font size up and down, no help. changing the typeface, also next to useless. with movable type existing since the 15th century, i don't understand how this can be this awful in 2023

Can not switch between devices. I like to read on a tablet when home and pick up where I left off on my phone when out. But this app will not sync read pages between devices.

Needs work. Can’t adjust the font size on the iphone app. Het ready for severe eye strain!

Must Join. You must sign up, login, and get your books from them. I see no way to add books I already possess to this library.

Pronlem with pdf. App dosn’t work well with my pdf books and can’t open this type of files

The worst app ever. The worst app ever. Print on the book is too small to read. Can’t reset password. No help desk available. Cant connect with their server for 7 days now! Can’t register my account.

Can’t highlight or look up words. I can’t use the highlight function—it does nothing on my iPad. I am also unable to copy/paste text into google in order to look up words/phrases. The text isn’t selectable.

Hate it. I hate how it scrolls. It’s like it jumps paragraphs rather then a smooth scroll or even a single page flip. I wish I would not have wasted the $13 on the book to read in this. Never again

Crashing under IOS 11.1.2. Great program when its not continually crashing on startup.

Need improvement ASAP!. This app needs to offer options for Font and Space Control. It’s very difficult and strenuous to read at times, with the words so small and packed together.

Not bad but no auto format. Books are hard to read with paragraphs overlapping and bottom of the pages lost. It's like a glorified pdf reader.

Can’t increase font size. Seems like a bug, but that makes it a no go, especially since the last update was over 3 months ago.

Soooo buggy. The app just wont respond when applying settings. For example, i would change the font type, when i tap CLOSE on the window, it would not close. Tapping anywhere else doesn’t solve the issue, also. So forces me to force close the app, and reopen. Happens every single time. Fix!

Not bad.... But needs an option to increase font size. I mainly use this on my phone, and even with reading glasses the font needs to be a little bigger. Adjustable would be ideal.

Syncing issues and terrible interface. This app looks like an app made 8 years ago, the interface is absolutely terrible. On top of that, I downloaded a book onto my iPhones and when I went to download it onto my iPad it only had 150 of the 479 pages it’s supposed to have.

Buggy on iOS. Buy PDFs instead. June 3, 2022 You can easily make bookmarks in this, but then try to jump to one of them. If there’s a way to do it, it’s not obvious. Documentation is poor. This is frustrating beyond words.

Iffy. Part of the time this app performs as expected. The rest of the time it does things like not accepting downloads from some sites.

IOS 11. It seems ever since the IOS 11 update, pdf files crash the app. No word on fix. Uninstalling. Use to be #1 go to app

Whats the Password Protection for?. Must of entered my password 10 times for this stupid App. And still it’s asking me again for it before I can read the book I just bought. Never would have purchased it had I know. I mean why do I need a new reader, I have 4 already.

50/50. Worked well for my first book two months ago, but for my next book it became perpetually stuck at 2% “paginating.” I gave up and am trying a different app.

Really bad. So, I figured this might be a good way to access my content on the website. I was wrong! I’m pretty sure this app interface was last updated around the time iOS 4 was released. You are better off downloading the ePub and importing into Apple Books or any other ePub reader in the store. Thank god it was free.
