Lost my package and then claimed it was delivered. Vestiaire lost my item. According to the courier it never left the vestiaire’s warehouse, but according to vestiaire, there was a bug in the system and the item was delivered successfully! No one gave me any explanation as to when the item was supposedly delivered, who signed off, the details of delivery, … nothing! They refuse to give my money back and i am left without an item I was really looking forward to receiving and without a refund. I used to love buying with them, even though there are many negatives (high fees, and counterfeit items that can be spotted from miles away make it onto their platform), the positive of finding some great pieces with a bit of patience and research weighted out the negative. The app is easy to use and overall it is a positive experience, except for stealing my money, losing the prospect of wearing an item i really wanted and vestiaire refusing to take any responsibility whatsoever. The customer is on its own. It is shameful.

Awful for selling. I already have quite a well known shop on depop so I thought I’d sell my more higher quality items on Vestiaire. I’ve had Vestiaire for two years now and I’ve had an issue on almost every item I’ve sold, with abysmal customer service and a very long response time. This most recent sale has made me pull all my items from Vestiaire because I’m sick of it. I sold a wallet and shipped it. Seven days later I get an email from Vestiaire saying that my sale has been cancelled because I didn’t ship the item. I contact the buyer, who says she received the item and does not know what’s going on. Over the next MONTH, I communicate with Vestiaire back and forth, asking for my payment. Vestiaire continued to elude my questions for weeks at a time and only until I started being quite rude did they begin to take me seriously. I sold my item on April 24th, 2023. I finally got my payment on May 23rd, 2023. I am tired of being ignored on Vestiaire by their customer support and lack of organization. I will no longer be selling on this app, and will remain on depop where I have been selling for the past four years with significantly less drama.

The WORST customer service!!!. PLEASE do not try to sell any item here, they have one the poorest customer service I’ve ever encountered. I fully regret the decision I made to let go of such a special item for me. If only I had known of all the trouble that this company has created. I have a month trying to understand what happened with a pair of Manolos that I sold. They stopped sending me updates of my item once it arrived to the department of authentication. No update, no payment, no response from customer service. I have sent various emails, try to solved it through their chat and when I tell you this is horrible, it’s HORRIBLE. Their answer to my item being lost is that “by now it should of been fully paid to you” yes I know that, that’s why I’m contacting customer service because I can’t get an answer, it’s seriously so frustrating. DO NOT SELL OR BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE.

Great way to buy real brands. Great way to buy and sell real silver, gold, and name brands since you have the items sent to a jeweler who inspects it first and verifies everything. I didn’t give 5 stars because I just sold a piece and I’m a little confused about how the whole process works from here. I printed out the shipping label to mail, and then I mail it to the company who will verify it and if everything is ok the deal is completed and I get my money and the buyer gets the jewelry. But I can’t pull up info in my account that I think should be there that provides the details about the sale and how it’s calculated and more. Hopefully I can find out if I’m doing everything right today

Disappointed!. Was using and loving this site but received a request to change password. Tried to change password and it would not let me do so, then because it would not let me change it my only option was to deactivate thinking I would sign back up..., now I cannot get in at all. I get an error message. There are no contacts listed for helping you with app problems.... Bad business when you cant contact anyone to get issues fixed with an app. I was notified today that issues were resolved and can now log back into this app. I still cannot get back in and cannot get anyone to contact me to help resolve this issue! In the message they said I could contact them with a live chat, I tried this and a “robot” said it couldn’t help with this....I am SO frustrated!! Worst app EVER for trying to get a real person to help fix.

May be good for buyers terrible for sellers. Extremely difficult to use. Sometimes they will request more photos but will not give any further information so you don’t know which ones were not good or how to improve them so they can list your item. (Made even more ridiculous by the fact that they were the same photos that they had accepted previously). Extremely low suggested pricing on NWT items and if they deem your price too high they also will not accept it. If someone makes an offer on your item and you accept it the offer is not binding and immediate payment does not happen they give them 24 hours to pay with no repercussions if they do not meanwhile all other offers have expired while you were waiting for nothing. Tried to pull my items and it wouldn’t delete them so I ended up just deleting my entire account. Definitely will not be using this app/site ever.

Big Scam. I am giving one star because it deserve it. I am having a message saying “hey, our shipping fees has decreasing ! start shopping” I said ok, let’s see this wonder happening, and when I try to put some item in the shopping cart, the actual fee it’s higher than before :)) I am sending them a message to ask them why they do this, why they lie in this way and I get a message “we’re sorry that you are not happy with out shipping fees”. Now they said that their commissions has decreased but they raised the shipping fees for the customers which is the most expensive shipping that you can find on any other shopping platform. I would recommend to anyone who want to sell anything to go to ebay or whatever something else because VC it is a big scam and money waste for both sellers and potential buyers. Very disappointed !

Hard to return items with defects. They’re being ignored and disregarded.. I have purchased 4 items that came with defects. Missing shoulder pads which are critical to the look and function. Sleeves have been drastically shortened. Hem lines have been shortened. One coat I purchased came with one shoulder missing a shoulder pad and both sleeves shortened. I filed many disputes and the company makes me send them back to France from USA. Customer service is nonexistent. Individually they have told me things that are conflicting and made empty promises. The software itself has problems letting you watch an item. It doesn’t always work as it should, very buggy. Charges of item verification keeps going up and there isn’t a choice to skip that “quality control”, during which they fail to find critical problem areas multiple times.

NEVER HELPED ME OUT WHEN I LOST MY ORDER. I made a order on a pair of Versace sport jeans which they made me put down a users name and when it was time to pick up my order from the local Walgreens they said I couldn’t get my package because the users name that I put on there did not have a identification card. So they forced me to have to call FedEx which was giving me the runaround stating that I needed to get a hold of this company. I tried reaching out to this company multiple times and I have yet heard back from anyone who runs this company. So now I am taking action into my own hands by placing a lawsuit towards them. My advice to anyone who is using this app…. Please reconsider another website because they will gyp you out of your money and never reach out to you to see if anything can be resolved

Scam. Beware of this app they don’t tell you that you do not get paid directly, and that you have to wait on them to approve your payment before seeing your $. I sold a piece back on the 4th it was delivered the 10th and still I have yet to be paid for it (it’s the 16th). Their “help center” if you can even call it that is just a robot feeding you prompts until it runs out of options and says sorry I couldn’t help. Not to mention the ridiculous percentage they take out of your earnings. This app is honestly worst than just getting on Depop and crossing your fingers - at least there’s an immediate payment. This app is supposed to be some kind of designer luxury app but it just feels like a company wanting to get their hands on designer pieces that they can determine the pricing for.

App is usually a mess. I have a love- hate relationship with VC because they have really Good stuff with decent prices. However, the App constantly logs you out on its own, and when you try to log back in, it becomes a big problem. A very big one! Also, the new update is a complete mess. Can’t read notifications, can’t view your favorites, can’t sort / filter. Whatever update was done needs to be reversed or improved, but as it is now, it is a serious headache. Another thing is what I call “Rigid Template”. VC doesn’t give sellers enough freedom when it comes to description of their items (that includes pictures), which makes it a little difficult when buyers are searching. All in all, there needs to be some serious improvements with the App. VC has a lot of potential to be bigger than the likes of Poshmark & Mercari, and I am hoping they can tap into it properly.

Authentication, Customer Service, etc. Issues Aside.... It needs to be said more. The overall UI amd experience of using this app is (in my opinion) slightly less painful than using the desktop site, but that’s generous. The authentication process is shoddy, customer service is awful, process of even putting up listings is extremely tedious. Not to mention the fees are higher than most other resale platforms, and Vestiaire has NOTHING to show for the higher fees. But aside from that! Their UI is near unusable, constantly crashing, freezing, it’s impossible to navigate your own items, message potential buyers, there’s so much unnecessary flagging of messages too because they’re afraid people will move sales to other platforms. And I don’t blame them. This app is just awful. 0 stars if I could.

Worst customer service of all time. I bought an item a couple months ago. It was shipped from France to the US via FedEx. For some reason the package has been stuck at the import hub and hasn’t moved in 1.5 months. I called FedEx and they said only the shipper can request the package to continue on. I’ve tried several times to get help from vestiaire and they often no help. They want me to give them a copy of my ID, which I could see if I was asking for money or something, but all I want them to do is call FedEx! They refuse to assist and I’m not sending my ID to anyone especially since they are behaving so suspiciously. I have NOTHING good to say about this company. I feel totally scammed. Update: Another month passed and still no help. Contacting the federal trade commission, the BBB, and leaving negative reviews everywhere I can

The WROST selling app. For the last 6 months I had bad experience selling on VC. I uploaded all the pictures they required. After 2 days they sent me email says they can’t list it And they need more pictures. As the same time I listed on Marceri , they already already authenticated my item and published. Totally a waste of time. Wonder who is their expert ? A real humanbeing or just a robot? Last week i sold 1 item and customer received the item and told me she regret to pay too much and wants her money back. All my description are correct. No wrong info. VC just decided to return for her without even notice me. Paid each sold item 15% commission fee think they will protect seller at least fair to everyone. But They took your money and not support seller at all. In the end. They decided to downgraded me , removed my expert seller badge for this return, I mean , excuse me. What did I do wrong ??

Items being labeled as “Sold” when it is not really sold. I’ve been using Vestiaire Collective for a few years now, and I’ve never experienced what I am currently experiencing. There is clearly a bug or some sort of malfunction when it comes to items being listed and labeled as “sold” when it is indeed not sold. Sellers are legitimately confirming how the item that they have listed is being labeled as “sold” but the item is still available. I have been trying to buy a few items that is experiencing this malfunction and it has been completely stressful and such a big inconvenience for both parties involved. Also there should be more resources and different ways to contact customer service from a buyer point of view because the options that we have to manually pick from is not ENOUGH! Please fix this issue ASAP, this is very unprofessional and very disappointing!

Worst Customer Service Experience. Not phone calls at all on USA, if you get in the chat they show up 30 minutes later, sometimes the next day. Slow to release sellers money. Annoying with the item have to be relist it or they removed, and asking to low your price almost everyday. Also very bad experience when they increased sellers fees I received an email saying all the items were listed before the rate increased date, will be charge the previous low fees and that was never like that, must of my items have been listed before the rate change it to 15% and I don’t don’t get the lower one.

No edit button? Really?. I transferred my closet from Tradesy and posted some items. It takes far too long for Admin to figure out the name brand even when it’s written on the item clearly and the list to choose from is anything but extensive. Also, it would make it more detailed if I could include specifics about the item rather than the limited list provided. So the item shows as non-signe or no name. If I make a mistake on the description, I can’t go back and edit! Additionally, there’s no way to edit the price! I strive to list a fair price for my items. But if I list an item at $225, then don’t send me a message encouraging me to drop the price to $37. Wherein if I did drop the price to $37, I’d be encouraged to drop it again. Not much assistance from the site regarding these issues. Im about to remove my items and leave this app.

Worst customer service, beware.. I used to be a fan of Vestiaire but first their app is terrible, if you do saved searches, it doesn’t really update on the searches you get notifications for right away by the time you go click items are gone. It’s constantly spamming you. If you sell they are constantly bothering you to lower your prices, their commission fees are high, on top of that you can correct your listings and it doesn’t let you add more photos like it kinda picks what it wants, which if you are trying to sell / buy an item is better to have as many photos of it as possible with the item worn! I had an issue recently with buying a pair of shoes that when I got them they were not the size marked in the shoe, I contacted costumer service, which is the worst, every time you get a response from a different person who seems to not have an idea of what you are contacting them about, their only job is basically to tell you “our experts have refused your claim and request for a return” only to then offer you “re-list your item for sale on your account with small amount of selling fee” not even for free, you pay for this quality control and they can’t bother to check something very important that the size is correct. If you google this company they have terrible reviews.

Trash. I wish there was an option for 0 stars. Not only do they sell fake designer merchandise, their customer service is a joke. I paid full price for a Prada bag that was supposed to come with authentication cards and a dust bag - it came with none of the above and was a clear fake - crooked logo, no lining, rusting zippers. It was nearly impossible to contact a customer service representative, and the phone number they gave me to contact them was invalid. After months of trying to contact them via email, I was given a prepaid return label for them to “reassess” the bag. After shipping it back, they emailed me 1 month later that the bag was authentic and they would not refund me, but rather mail it back to me. 3 months later, I have not received a tracking number nor the item. Luckily, my credit card refunded me since the entire transaction process was proven illegal and fraudulent. Save yourself the headache and delete this app.

Good Product Options but HORRIBLE Customer Service. At first, I loved shopping on Vestiaire - they have good product options over a variety of sellers and types of products. But BEWARE, they have the worst customer service out of any platform I have ever seen. I purchased a product that, shortly after purchasing I realized was gravely misrepresented in the listing (I basically thought I was buying a purse and it was in fact the size of my palm”. I reached out to Vestiaire immediately about the issue to see if we could cancel the order before the item was shipped. I was told that, although they agree that the item was misrepresented, the Seller is the only one that can cancel the order. I reached out to the seller and she refused to cancel in order not to hurt her “selling reputation”. Once I actually received the item, I reached out to Vestiaire again. I have been tossed around with about 5 representatives for a complaint that I filed. Finally after days, they just told me that they agree the item is misrepresented but I didn’t reach out within 72 hours of receiving the item so there’s nothing that they can do. Plus, I reached out before the item was even shipped. Many other sites will give you a one time leeway but not here! Anyways, what I am saying is you can find some good stuff on this site. There’s also a chance that you will pay $300 for a keychain that fits absolutely nothing. If you have money to waste, go for it.

Do not buy they don’t really authenticate or don’t know how to. I paid the extra money for the authentication and they said they did so but when I received the shoes they were counterfeit. I had to argue go back and forth with them and even send pictures comparing an authentic item. They even admitted previous buyers returned the shoe due to sketchy authentication. Don’t buy from here. This is the response I received they will never see my money again: Thank you for returning this item and for your patience while we investigated your recent order. Our team has now checked the item again, and we agree that the item does not perfectly match the seller’s description. We will therefore be issuing a full refund, and you should see this reflected in your account within the next 5 working days. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologise for our mistake with this item, and thank you for raising the issue with us. We want Vestiaire Collective to be a place where our community can buy and sell with absolute confidence, so we’re genuinely sorry that this experience did not live up to expectations. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. l got a pair of shoe mentioned VERY GOOD CONDITION but when l received them they had two parts of leather peeling off and the seller didn’t mention it. l emailed Vestiaire collective and they asked me to send some photographs clearly showing the problem areas. FINALLY GOT A GREAT REPLY “Vestiaire Collective does not exchange or return of items bought from individual seller. l have gone ahead and enabled the put back on sale button on this item. Which means you can put it back on sale with just a few clicks and at a lower price than the commission would have been for this item. l hope this is helpful, but don’t hesitate to get back to me if you have any questions regarding this. Alejandro for vestiaire collective” So, why did they ask for pictures if they weren’t even going to do anything about the problem? They charged me for authentication and control fee when they didn’t check the product before sending it to me. When l find the problem, it’s my fault. Nobody can use this app to buy things with that service.

Designer Heaven. My latest Louis Vuitton dream has come true, the bag I purchased on this site is in NEW condition and the latest model. To top this off it was at a lower cost than on any other internet seller or site. Believe me, it was the lowest cost and best condition I shopped this handbag for months. When I saw the Louis bag on this site, I sealed the deal. The seller sent the bag, along with receipts to the company for authentication and to make sure it matched the description. It is an A+++ bag, in diamond condition, the company inspector tagged it and it was sent from France to New York, the handbag is flawless. I hope you find what I did; the best quality and price on a high end item. What more can be said? Fabulousness on all fronts.

How is this app so bad….. I deleted this app 6 months ago because of how frustrating it is to use and more importantly I do not trust selling on this site.. Tradsey now converting with this garbage company forces sellers to transfer listings. Re download and shocker it’s still awful.. can’t login, can’t reset password can’t do anything without getting error codes. Make a new profile on the website then log in on the app which still had glitches just to find out you still can’t upload photos 🤣 like what?… choose upload photos and you get the last photo in your album and that is it.. same as 6 months ago. Clearly it is not well maintained or developed. Try using your own app and see how easy it is!! Took me 20 minutes to post ONE listing on their website… not seamless not user friendly. curtsey and mercari way better……….. DEVELOPERS- how am I supposed to list an item when the picture function does not work! One large photo shows up… and you have no help or contact area! Took 30 minutes to list one item on the website which was refuse with ZERO EXPLANATION (check email well I checked and there is nothing) same item I have listed on Tradsey so why would it be refused… Why is everything so difficult with no help options!? website and no better! Can only upload 1 photo at a time… dumb and takes forever! The most frustrating selling app/site! Get it together!!!

Horrible customer service. I tried to buy a ring on this app. After a week, the seller never shipped the item and removed the item from their sales page. I was charged for the item and Vestiaire never reached out to me to let me know the item was no longer available. I had to contact them. All I got was a reply that basically said the item was no longer for sale and that they would get back to me in THREE DAYS to let me know how to resolve the issue. But like.... why not just refund me the same day you realize the item you charged me for isn’t available? Like what other solution could there possibly be, and why does it take 3 days to come to a solution? It’s just so stupid. I just want my money back.

Not user Friendly, quite bad service and unprofessional vendors.. A month in, and I’m using the Affirm app to pay for my purchases (3), here to say that I have a chunky loan to pay for 3 months now. After all the processing and such coming from overseas, and it still hasn’t arrived, yet I still have this loan. - Finally a response back saying one of the items are disclosed because it doesn’t ship to my location, yet the payment arrangement has been intact. (Not sure how I can get my refund). - One vendor aparently has sent the item to ship back to their location...which is a definite scam...once again, my payment arrangements are STILL in tact. Have yet to hear back if they’ll actually ship it to me this time around. - One other item hasn’t arrived just yet. On the other hand I really do hope my experience will change, I spent a chunk of my paycheck on small items. Cons: Bummer for me. Either processing takes awhile or there was some type of error that’s been overseen. Very long wait time. Not really great up to date updates on the processes, processing, or processor. Better yet not detailed enough. Not the best app out there. Pros: Easy app, easy fish, easy payment options.

Vestiaire needs to hold sellers accountable. It’s great that Vestiaire authenticates for you so at least you know that what you’re getting is authentic when you get it. The problem is that Vestiaire allows sellers way too much time to ship items out once the item is sold, 30 days is a ridiculous amount of time to allow someone to ship something! In what world other than Vestiaire is it okay for someone to pay for something and then have to wait 30 days for it to come if it comes at all?! Vestiaire do better! Hold your sellers to a higher standard, the buyer has no recourse in this system other than to wait for a seller to respond or flake out! That is just wrong! If sellers are flaking or taking 2/3 weeks to ship flag them as non complaint sellers so the us buyers can avoid them!

The bad outshines the good. Great idea, unfortunately the terrible selling experience has outshined any positive aspects of Vestiaire. All of the other negative reviews are spot on. I’ve been going back and forth with customer service for over two months now about an item that I sold, which was seemingly lost due to the shipping label Vestiaire provided me. During this process, after somehow swapping my case with that of another customer, and in doing so revealing our personal information to each other (a huge violation of the company’s privacy policy which they have barely acknowledged), they are now asking me for a photo of my ID to open a report on the lost package with the carrier. This basically puts me in the position of deciding if it’s worth risking my personal information again to possibly recoup the value of the item that was lost due to Vestiaire’s incompetence. At seemingly every turn, the user-hostile experience of this app is pushed back onto the customer, leading me to ask, why bother with this good-intentioned but poorly executed platform, dear reader? There are better alternatives.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered something from this app over a month ago, it got returned to the seller, and I have been fighting to get a refund for the last three weeks. Every few days I get an email saying the case will be resolved in 24 hours, but it’s been weeks and still nothing. I even got DM’s on Instagram from the seller who said the package got returned to her, and still all I get from the customer service representatives is that the “investigation is ongoing”. They don’t have a phone number and you can only contact them through email or chats, which get disconnected half of the time you use them. While it seems like a great app, it’s only okay as long as everything goes smoothly. I’m out $100 and doesn’t look like I’ll ever get it back.

They sell fakes!. I’ve done a lot of research on realisation par dresses specifically, comparing details on the authentic ones vs the dupes made by Chinese manufacturers, in order to safely buy them second hand from other apps. However, I was excited to begin using Vestiaire Collective with the assurance I would 100% receive authentic pieces. Very quickly, I realized there were many obvious fakes listed, and one particular seller was labeled “expert seller” and had sold multiple fakes. I contacted their customer service and they denied the possibility of one of their specialists ever letting that many fakes process and said they would leave a note for the warehouse... what about all the poor buyers that have already been scammed?? This company has built false trust and clearly has no validity. I’ve even heard of other buyers receiving fake LV bags. They are a scam.

Terrible App/Experience. Several times I have ordered an item, only to have the order cancelled because there was a flaw that they didn’t even run by me. I silent been fine with the flaws, especially since these are often items I cannot and will likely never be able to find again. It’s genuinely infuriating, and giving you a $15 off coupon for orders over $100 is a laughable compensation. They need to go back to actually utilizing the quality control and reaching out to customers because why else are we paying for it?! It’s absurd. They also updated saved searches to no longer take you to the item you were notified for. It just lumps them all together, and often I’ll get a notification singing was uploaded, click on it, and it doesn’t even show up despite just getting the notification. Awful experience for app navigation, I hate the update. Don’t use this service if you have high expectations when you spend lots of money.

SCAMMER CITY. Your app is trash in terms of weeding out scammers. You don’t allow for customers/users to flag account as scammers or items as fake when someone posts items with pics taken off eBay listings that isn’t their account and you also filter out comments on items when someone tries to warn others that a particular sale is a scam. You review the posts BEFORE allowing them to be made and then don’t publish them. How is anyone to know when they will get scammed. I’ve tried to buy multiple items off one person and both times they held onto the money for 5+ days and never sent the item, yet you allows them to do business like this. That’s absolute bad business as a service you provide because you’re protecting the scammers and not the buyers!!! You need to address this problem. Let people report scammers or let people write unfiltered comments on items or seller account so other can see when there’s a problem!!!!

Not a fan as a seller. I’m coming exclusively from a sellers perspective. I’m still new to the app but a few things I’m not a fan of. First the seller fees are way too high the service involved. They claim it’s a 15% fee but they quietly tack on extra processing fees which Jack it up slightly, some offers on items I received were so low I would literally have made zero commission. Sadly one of the sales I made, the customer destroyed the item to claim a return and when I tried to dispute the issue I was ruled against even though I was able to back myself up with both photos and videos of the item in question and the condition it was sent out in. The authentication process needs a lot of work, I have had two genuine pieces fail the authentication program even though o have the authentication paperwork to go with the items so I’d honestly be nervous as to how many fake pieces fall through the cracks (buyers be careful here) My biggest peeve is the amount of customers who send offers then don’t bother to pay. Almost every single offer that’s been sent to me has gone un paid. It’s just frustrating and quite frankly a waste of time. I had wanted to experiment with this app as I sell full time and often have designer and vintage pieces to sell but sadly I don’t think I’ll be keeping this app and my account up and running.

Vestiaire Collective scams their sellers. So apparently since all labels are generated from Vestiaires account, if a buyer refuses delivery and an item is returned it is returned to Vestiaire as the shipper. That item is not returned to the seller but is returned to the shipper which is Vestiaire. BUT THE VESTIAIRE representatives were not clued in on this. So here I am going back and forth with these people, through a chat window mind you because there is no other way to communicate with this company and these people are telling me they have no way to trace an item that was returned to them as the shipper. WHY IS VESTIAIRE HAVING UNDELIVERED ITEMS SHIPPED TO THEIR WAREHOUSE INSTEAD OF BACK TO THE SELLER??? Meanwhile the tracking on the label clearly shows that the item was shipped from one location but returned to another, it clearly shows it was returned to VESTIAIRE NY FRONT OFFICE, SIGNED FOR BY FD. ALL IT TAKES IS ONE PHONE-CALL TO UPS. These people have been investigating this matter for weeks and still cannot locate my item. UPS CONFIRMED IT WAS DELIVERED TO THEIR WAREHOUSE. I am unable to open a claim with UPS because I am NOT on account as the shipper. At this point, I believe this company is scamming us as sellers. Neat little trick to fictitiously order expensive items through direct ship. Then claim the buyer refused delivery and have them returned to their warehouse. I am truly disgusted and disappointed with this company. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS

Terrible customer service. I’m having a terrible time with this site. There is some confusion with my account so they closed it and won’t let me back in. But the issue was actually resolved several months ago. I buy handbags for a collection and spend quite a bit of money. I have tried several different ways to contact them but no one will help me. The phone number and emails don’t work. The people on the chat say someone will get back to you but no one ever does. It’s the worst! I wanted back on because they have decent selection but now I don’t think it’s worth it. I’ve asked repeatedly for them to send a record of my transactions because I can’t log on to get it for myself, and I get no response. It’s very insulting. I don’t cause any trouble. I go on there and buy bags. I don’t know who the business genius is there who thinks it’s a good idea to treat your paying customers like garbage.

Absolute WORST Customer Service- a Joke!!!. This is literally the WORST customer service I have ever experienced after making over a $1000 purchase! They are money hungry and once you pay, DO NOT EVER EXPECT TO RECEIVE A REFUND!!!! Clearly theyre system was not working properly at the time of my payment and they refuse to refund the money they over-charged for. Instead- they offer a coupon to use on my next purchase. HAAAAA! What a JOKE! Like I will ever make another purchase through VC!!! Right! I will NEVER do business with them again, and I hope you do not either. Awful experience to have spent so much money. Ive reached out multiple times for a resolution but theres no phone number or email…and the live chat is a joke. VC- Please dont reply to this review suggesting I reach out for a solution. Been there, done that. Yall failed and lost a customer for life.

Great for Shopping, Selling needs Work. I have been a vestiaire user for over a year now and use it very frequently. I love purchasing from the website but have had numerous issues with selling there, all having to do with unpaid shipping fees on vestiaire. Unfortunately, at this point it has cost me a few hundred dollars out of pocket when I was supposed to have everything paid for. They are slow to respond to claims and only give you three days to sort your end before closing out the issue, despite some items being sent cross country and being lost completely. Recommend them for buying products, but you’ll have a much easier time selling elsewhere.

App bugs and customer service. I like the purpose of the app but when there is an issue with an order or you actually want to talk to customer service it is extremely difficult. You have to go through a whole preset response menu and hope you find a way to say you need more info connect to a person. Then sometimes the app bugs out and when it asks for your order number before connecting you with a representative they keyboard disappears so you can’t type in the order number. I’ve tried restarting my phone and the app and for some train it won’t let me open a new chat it just keeps taking me to the broken one. I submitted a request because my order has been stuck with Vestiaire with a status of quality control within 2 days for 2 weeks. But it can’t get an answer from them, a chat person told me they would contact me by email with more detail about getting my order moving but it’s been a week and nothing has happened..

Not ideal to sell here. I understand that this app is supposed to be for thrifting designer but designer is definitely not supposed to be that cheap! Have you ever seen a used, stomped on nasty looking “vintage” Louis Vuitton for anything less than $1200? That’s how it feels that this company rates your luxury items which I definitely think should be reconsidered ESPECIALLY if your seller difference rates are so high just to sell here. The app itself is pleasing to the eye and I do like how one picture is transparent so you could see just the item itself however again as a seller, the low ball prices from customers already for lightly used items or even NEW items should be enough to make some changes and not being able to edit your price higher if you wish to do so is not ideal for the seller. If I want to put it up higher again I should be able to.

Absolutely Horrendous for Selling…. All I get are offers all day long and no one proceeds to actually buy anything… I’ve given up on following up with them. They ALL ghost. I truly don’t understand why they send offers to begin with… The very little sales I actually made all have had issues. The packages are either super delayed or lost, and I’ve had to file package claims every time, which all resulted in super delayed payments and numerous follow-ups. One sold item that I previously purchased from the RealReal came back as inauthentic, so I lost all my “badges” and had to pay them to get my item back… I even provided a certificate of authenticity for the item. This app is a completely headache… I’m so sad they took over Tradesy. Tradesy was SO much better.

Customer service needs to improve. I bought 2 things from them. A clutch bag and a wallet. For the clutch bag it was easy buying but the last part from shipping to usa. It was bad because apparently they put the wrong address on my package, which the carrier was FedEx. and I check and it’s my address so in the end I haven’t gotten my package because only the sender can request to drop it off at a FedEx drop-off location so I can pick it up . The wallet is another story. It says it takes 2 days to authenticate but it’s been 4 days already. I contacted them and they told me they would look into it but haven’t responded. and it’s their job to authenticate as soon as possible because it’s what they are claiming. So I hope who ever is reading this doesn’t happen to them. Juts expect to wait around a month for your things to arrive because i haven’t gotten my stuff.

Needs work. authentication fee of $15 on all items to make extra money.. I am both a buyer and seller on the app. Vestiaire has lots of potential but they still have lots of work to do. For example, they won’t let you submit professional pictures that you edit yourself. I’ve had many photos taken down for them saying it was taken from online when in fact I took the picture and edited it. Whoever is in charge of cropping and editing the photos after you submit fired. They look horrible. Another thing is only select items are available for international shipping. I tried to buy sunglasses from a seller and Italy and they said they would ship to me. However it is not allowed by Vestiaire. All Vestiaire said is we are working on it. This is not appealing to customers. Your hurting yourself and losing money. Get together with your operations director and figure it out.

I’m reporting them to The Federal Trade Commission for THEFT and Fraud. I like many of you went onto Vestaire to sell and buy products. I like you was misled, they either allowed the buyer of my first sale to keep my bag without paying….. Or they kept it themselves . Needless to say I was never payed and my sale went out December 18th. When I contact them on the stupid chat line their agents follow the same strategy . They play dumb , Nee dreferwnce numbers, etc. well truthfully each of them knew exactly who I was. If your trying to get your property or payment back I suggest you stop wasting your time and add your complaint to mine …. Contact Federal Trade Commisssion and Put These Thieves in their place! Don’t stop there, make formal complaints to apple. There are hundreds of us, they won’t ignore everyone . Get them taken off the App Store so they can or steal from innocent people Any more !!!!

Horrible authentication. I’ve purchased a lot of clothing on the RealReal and eBay over the years and finally decided to give Vestiaire a go as well. Huge mistake. I purchased 6 different items each labeled as new with tags and had issues with 3 of them that were missed during Vestiare’s authentication. Two of the items were visibly damaged and the 3rd was 3 sizes larger than the listing. Opening a ticket with Vestiaire to dispute the transaction is painful and returns generally aren’t allowed from private sellers. On the two visibly damaged items I eventually got them to take the items back but the mis labeled one I’m stuck with despite being 3 sizes larger than listed in the measurements. I’m now stuck trying to sell this enormous jacket on my own and am out hundreds of dollars until it sells. I have zero confidence in their ability to properly look over items in the authentication process and less faith in them as a company fixing an issue. I can’t imagine how unreliable their authentications are for used clothes. As a buyer I would steer clear of this site. There isn’t enough protection for you even when the item clearly doesn’t match the description.

Obnoxious, the effort it’s not worth the results. To start it takes about 35 to 45 minutes to do one post with the details. They are looking for once you gather all the information and you take the pictures exactly as they want a half of the posts get rejected because of whatever vetting process they have for your items they deemed to not be authentic. Despite having the receipt gift box, retail bag, that item comes with it still deemed not authentic when in reality, there’s nothing more to prove its authenticity than the receipt at the store it came from. So you’ve wasted 35 to 45 minutes of three or four times just to continue getting the same item listed. The other glitch is when you have a very desirable item(as I do) you are spammed a ton by people who want to contact you outside of the app and when you report it does you get any further this app has like me down so many dead ends wasted so much of my time and out of nine items I have attempted to sell only four of them are and out of the 41 has sold. The one that sold was only listed after I wrote this review. I wish I had my time back. And I can’t see any of my items out of my closet, going any further than the short fallings, where my profile has landed.

If only there was a 0 star button.... I ordered three items all in my size according to Vestiaire’s size chart. One was completely wrong, and the other two were stretched out to the point that I could not wear them. Two of them also did not meet the quality of what was stated in the description. I have been trying to return them for 3 days. They have been in contact with me, however they “are waiting to receive the pictures of the discrepancies in the items.” I sent in multiple pictures for each item WITH the original request to return the Items. I spent $70 on items that I can not wear and to resell them on Vestiaire will cost me $60 in total! I am very disappointed not only in the quality of the items that I received, but in the customer service practically refusing to let me get a refund OR simply return the items. Of course I want a refund, the size guide ON THE APP was incorrect. I did not just spend $70 on items that are useless to me, just to take time out of my schedule to contact them and be refused to do anything about it. I AM DONE. Ps. If the issue is fixed in the future I will gladly remove this review.

Pros and Cons selling and buying. BUYER: I was happy with what I bought from Europe. It arrived fast. I don’t like how the search works as it is hard to find what you are looking for. I don’t like that seller descriptions are moderated because it makes it harder to find what you are looking for and moderators make certain items not available to purchase e.g. leather goods that they would state are exotic while it is just the print or kashmir (as wool product) or fur. Yes there is high customs fees almost double the price of the item which was added recently if you buy from abroad . Again this is a deterrent for a lot of buyers. Adding items to favorites not always works. SELLER: you items are exposed to large number of buyers globally. Again seller description moderation is not good idea as they may prevent your items from being available globally or not show up in search. Selling fees could be described clearer on the website They charge 15% in most cases (12% plus 3% processing). Overall I had a good experience with VC as a buyer and seller. hopefully they can figure out how to improve search and eliminate the moderation.

I received a counterfeit. DON’s use this app. I bought a Messika necklace and paid for 15 usd authentication service, but I received a counterfeit I later knew it doesn’t even match the original design. I contacted the customer service, and they said it’s authentic because they checked it. Then I sent them the detailed pictures of the differences between the counterfeit and the authentic one on official Messika website. Now they sent me a return form and said they would check it again for me. But if they decide it’s authentic, they will keep it in their hub and resist it on my page to resell it for me. Even a non- professional authenticator can tell the huge differences just by looking at the pictures. But their professional team can’t. I strongly suggest you google “ vestiaire counterfeit ” before you decide to pay for anything. This company isn’t trustworthy I swear to God.

Don’t take my money if the item isn’t for sale. I ordered 11 items from Vestiaire in 4 separate orders over a week. All but 3 of my items were canceled by the seller more than a week after my money had been taken by Vestiaire with the explanation given being “The item is no longer available.” We had to wait another 5 days for the return to hit our account. One of my orders was for 4 sweaters that I wanted to take on a vacation to somewhere cold. Every single item was canceled after more than 8 days. Vestiaire, don’t take money for items that aren’t available. I’m not happy giving anyone an interest free loan for 2 weeks. Confirm the items are available BEFORE taking the money! If the seller doesn’t deliver, REMOVE the seller from your platform. Until that changes, I’m sticking with ThredUP.

CUSTOMERS, look at company response.. GTA V San Andreas “Simeon” once said, “You tell me what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be.” First review that appeared for me was “SCAMMER CITY” and it wasn’t what the user said within his context but more so the company developer team response that helped me dodge a bullet by downloading this app. When coming face-to-face with a thought out and well explained paragraph(s) they didn’t only, in summary, tell the person that it’s out of their hands and everything is moderated AUTOMATICALLY. Which is an incredibly red flag for a LUXURY app that people are spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on to get scammed. But they accept that fact and do nothing to change it but explain their badge might get hurt for taking your money after grueling hours of work and you want to look nice and you see reviews that might be from competitors and buy the item not knowing they’ve been stolen from. The app and the company and website itself is a failure and with that being said, they have full potential to hire a customer service team as a luxury application that can help battle against the issues within their own system. Take it as a note that they don’t care about helping you, if you need help go to the settings and hope it works out and deal with it, at least that’d be the most honest way of putting it.

would give 0 stars if i could. would give 0 stars if i could. bought a cartier vintage bag from there but i didn’t like it when it came, went back in the box and resold it in vestiaire. when it came to shipping that was a nightmare, the courier didn’t turn up day after day and it took me talking to 3 separate agents to get the courier to actually turn up. then the buyer contested the item, which was strange as it has been in the box since i bought it? then i received an email from the courier telling me the item was being returned! vestiaire hasn’t even contacted me with any kind of details about why!! for days!!! i had to go through an agent on the chat feature to confirm. This website is absolutely horrendous, please try other avenues to buy and sell designer items.

The app is better than PC. The negotiations area needs work. There should be a way we can chat to the person privately when negotiating. I was also negotiating with someone and because they declined my final offer there was no way I could still buy the item for their last offer. I think that’s wrong. I just think it needs some fine tuning. I think it is great that we can get value and use out of items.

Horrific Quality. Purchased an item labelled as in excellent quality, when they did their QA assessment on the item they sent a photo showing frayed ends on the side seam and downgraded the item to good quality and gave me a refund. The refund is only redeemable on their site/app so I can’t get my money refunded to me that I spent on what was a faulty item? Don’t trust them! When I finally got the item weeks later and too late to return it was I can only describe it as poor quality, there were holes in the underarm seam I could put my finger through the seam threading was worse than they had described or depicted in their photo. I sent back photos of the numerous faults I found and they offered to pay for the repairs which were worth more than the garment itself. Never heard back from their customer service. Do not use this app!

Smoke and mirrors. App is easy to use on the front end but I’ve yet to successfully buy or sell anything. As a buyer: Sellers can back out of a sale even after you’ve paid by simply not sending the item after 7 days. This has so far occurred on every transaction I’ve tried to make. As a seller: You’ll get all sorts of offers on your products - dozens a day. Unfortunately even if you accept an offer, there is no obligation for the buyer to pay. And then you are stuck for 24 hours while your other offers expire. Then the cycle continues because buyers won’t pay after they’ve reserved the item from you. I would love to see this business model improve because I think Vestiaire could have a lot to offer but for now the app is just smoke and mirrors of fake buyers and fake sellers.

Good concept, weak service delivery. The concept is great. The actual offering and services make me reluctant to use again. The amount of money spent on shipping and “verification” often costs more than the product. Even worse, if the product is coming from your own country, it still gets shipped out to be “verified” then comes back into your country for delivery. So expensive and timely. And you don’t have a choice in accepting “verification” or changing delivery options

Lack of response to queries. I have left messages and offers for buyers who do not respond. I wanted a photo of the wear on heels and soles and another for a close of on some damage I could see but there was no mention of it in the copy nor a photo concentrating on this area if the shoe. So lack of transparency about the co diction of the product. Not sure how they are able to ignore buyers and allowed to still sell. I reached out to you a couple of times asking for your assistance- I think you even offered it and no follow up on your behalf. Am Disappointed as I am new to this site and quite like everything else.

Incorrect duties calculated. Support team not helpful. On checkout, a duty that is not required for Australia under AUD1000 was added. When I contacted their “support” team, all they did was quote import duties. Despite me providing them with the link for border requirements. They even had the audacity to ask if it’s not required why would it be calculated?! Well! Let’s say I won’t be using these guys. If you’re going to sell luxury goods, you need customer service to match.

Superficially well executed, non community minded platform. Looks great, easy to use but the praise ends there. For a platform claiming to take authenticity seriously there is a) no way to flag counterfeits b)when comment is left to warn others on authenticity they are never approved by Vestaire. I’ve left comments on different listings warning about counterfeits; comments are not approved by moderators yet the platform knowingly allows all other comments inquiring about said item/s to go back and forth through to sale. I’ve observed this on two items, purchase at your own risk as there is very limited support beyond automated emails. Chat moderators cease conversations that are banter and relationship building with potential buyer/sellers; bans in place even when you mention other platforms are not as good. Trust is so crucial in any relationship, if your sale is lost due to logistics, the manual cancellation of your listing takes it off your trusted seller credentials badge. No way to continue establishing your seller credibility. My first two sales both had logistics issues with no way to contact buyer for apologies. Form great, function above average, integrity zero.

Worst customer service ever. I bought an item and the delivery status shows in progress for 1 month, I’ve been trying to contact their customer service via CHAT for 3weeks, literally sending messages to them every day, so far, no response at all.

Poor customer service. The worst app I’ve ever used. If I could give it zero stars I would. Had a customer service issue where the support worker had no clue how to answer my questions. Instead of finding the correct answer to my questions they spun themselves into a web of lies which further confused me. I sent an enquiry about this interaction days ago and still have not been afforded the grace of a response. Their UX is terrible and makes logging into the site extremely difficult. I promptly took down my listing (which was a most loved item) as I would not allow myself to give this awful app and cut. Save yourself the hassle and exorbitant fees and do not use it.

No customer support & Beware Hidden / Extra Fees. There is no way to speak to someone over text / online chat. I am in Australia so they don’t provide phone numbers for me to call to. Only very limited faq questions, but no other help if you need it. Plus, they have you put up your fees so much. Before it used it be around $30 for shipping, and now it’s $45, plus $6 authentication fee, and before I used to be able to choose to pay the 10% customs and duties fee upfront to Australia or on arrival if asked and now it appears that this is no longer optional, and I have to pay it upfront to VC. Everyone in Australia knows that you don’t have to pay a company 10% extra for every transaction, but are taking advantage of customers in Australia by charging this. There is no way you are passing this 10% on to the Australian government, you are keeping this money as an added fee! If not, please prove to me otherwise. I used to buy a lot of things from you, but now with all these ridiculous extra fees, it’s not worth it, I can buy from other sites that don’t charge all these ridiculous hidden fees. You say that you have lowered the fee for the seller, but this is not true, you have just passed extra fees on to the buyer! Beware all their fees.

Very bad customer service. It’s really a bad website for buyers and sellers. Be aware that they sell counterfeit items in their website. Also, the company tries to extort money from you with import fees. I know for a fact that there are no import fees but they still charge it. It’s very dishonest

Appalling. Terrible customer service. They don’t check to see if the items you buy are fake and when you try and return a fake copy of a designer item, they won’t give you a refund. Stay well away….

Criminals - DO NOT USE. Horrible experience, I purchased a $800 AUD bag never received it. Was told I would get a full refund. My processed refund (after 16 days) was $300 short of what I paid. Every time I contacted support they responded with a generic message letting me know that your refund is on its way but would not acknowledge my issue. I would never trust this app or company and have learned a very harsh lesson. DO NOT USE THIS APP

Impossible to sell items. Where do I begin?! 1. I sold a handbag that took 4 weeks to be collected by the Vestiaire organised courier, it wasn’t until I sold another item that a courier came to collect all outstanding parcels. The amount of time I wasted contacting Vestiaire and the courier company is ridiculous. 2. Fragile items that are not allowed to be shipped internationally cannot also be sold within Australia because the authenticity hub is in Hong Kong. 3. Customer service is europe based and lack manners. Incapable of apologising and far from helpful. 4. The percentage you actually earn from selling something is minor. 5. If you happen to mention your phone number, email or a name of another app your account gets frozen for 24hours. I suggest using Depop.

Help Centre is no help at all.. I placed my first order with VC last night and didn’t realise I hadn’t updated my address. Reached out to the Help Centre who told me only the seller can change the address, and only the seller can cancel the order. What kind of stupid system is that? Not to mention the order is being authenticated through the company and therefore will be shipped directly FROM the company to me, and they still refused to help. Absolutely ridiculous, will never order through them again.

Used to love you. I am a big fan of Vestiaire, but this version of the app is a major downgrade... Search is not as accurate and not able to sort as well (doesn’t change when I try to sort new to old). Has made the experience more frustrating and difficult to see what’s been added recently, which is important because your alerts don’t always work. Overall, great platform, but a lot of room for improvement.

New update. Ever since the new update all my descriptions have changed to French? Even though everything else is still in English and my settings are in English? Every single item I look at the description of the goods is in French. I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall and report to customer service but nothing is working.

Would not recommend. Vestiaire fees and charges, some of which are hidden and just charged anyway, are outrageous compared to other apps that provide an identical service. On top of that Vestiaire would allow me to complete and pay for purchases only to then force the seller to cancel my order as their courier apparently couldn’t service my area. Considering I am in a capital city I find this ludicrous, even more so that they allow me to hand money over when they know they can’t service my area. Update: good to see they then blame the seller for Vestiaire’s inability to arrange adequate delivery! The sellers contacted the help team to try and work through the issues and the help team just told the sellers to cancel the sale because they couldnt provide a solution!

Terrible quality controls and customer service. There is no way that you can return a product on this app although they say that “if the item doesn’t match its description you can return it”. The thing is, every time an item I received has a problem, they deny it and try to find excuses for how the item actually matches its description. Event it is very obvious that in the seller’s photo she was trying to hide a flaw that is not mentioned in description. Never trust things described in “good condition” because it may not be. Charge such a significant amount of quality control fee and “customs fee”(even items that are so cheap which does not require any custom fee). Plus these fees are paid for nothing. Very poor quality control team that I think some of them should get a pair of glasses. This app is purely a scam. DONT USE IT.

hidden costs. Be careful as they charge you for a complete package (item+authentication+shipping+toll) However, in my case they did not declare the items right, so that I had to pay the Toll costs again. Item ended up being 40% more expensive and their customer service went quiet when I asked for an explanation.

Vestiaire has issues. I find it incredibly frustrating how unresponsive sellers are to questions. I often don’t buy something I want because after months of asking on many many items I just can’t get questions answered. And why aren’t Vestiaire addressing the issue, and getting rid of unresponsive sellers. Or items that sellers tell you they have sold by other means, and yet the item stays up as still for sale. Vestiaire need to fix their business model. It makes it look like they don’t care for your business. And it just takes too much energy to participate. Shopping is meant to be fun. Vestiaire is anything but an exercise in frustration. Sorry.

Nightmare to use. I tried uploading product to the app and the images were never good enough and got rejected. So unless you have perfect lighting and an amazing camera, you can’t upload anything. I just decided to try again and the app tells me my email address isn’t valid but when I try and sign up it says email address already exists. I give up. Will stick to eBay

For people to know. Horrible service, I sold an item with direct delivery in Australia. Courier failed to pick up the parcel for 7 days! I contacted customer service 3 times, first time was told that parcel is gonna be picked up the same day by 5pm, no one picked up! Customer service sending computer generated apology messages, but no real solution! Absolute disrespect or value for other people time! Previous time my parcel got lost and it took me 3 days to find it! I was doing it myself, V did not care about the issue, only was sending promises. With other items, constant delays with payment.

Unreasonable prices. I think most of the items up for sale are unreasonably priced compared to the aftermarket of the products. E.g I saw a pair of nike sacai white nylons on the app is priced at $1,145 when the after market on that specific sneaker is around $400-$500. I also found a pair nike OFF-WHITE zoom flys going for $1,280 when the after market price is at $400-$450 If you’re going to use this app, make sure to compare the prices to prices on apps like StockX or GOAT. If I were to be honest I would rather use an app like GRAILED where paypal is the one in charge of refunds because they use buyers protection and the app overall has a wider curation of clothing and accessories not only glued to selling just designer wear but also presenting a wide variety of vintage and rare pieces.

IMPOSSIBLE GETTING ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE. Says 24/7 but that is FALSE. Have tried to contact multiple times and it’s an automated bunch of rubbish replies. I expected an appropriate response from them, an apology, a refund for the item that never turned up that I paid insurance on & still nothing. They do not care about their clients, only making money.

Terrible service, and too many notifications.. Vestiaire’s privacy policy and terms and conditions are not clear. Discount policies are not clear. Customer service are zero help when you have an issue. A ‘premium membership’ is considered a purchase of an item, although in their legal terms a digital product is not listed as an item therefore you should still be able to use your first purchase discount. Very misleading information across all policies available. Customer service just say something is not part of their terms and conditions although can not produce the documentation to prove it. You purchase a product based on the policies publicly made available, if I can’t something in your policy I can not make an accurate decision to purchase. Zero help, and zer responsibility. Won’t use again.

Love this site 10/10 recommend just don’t update. They have taken away the ability to filter your wish list and favourited results which is really frustrating as I have 2000 favourited items currently, which I watch till they get to a price im happy to buy them for. now I have no way of easily checking on them without searching for each individual items through the general search bar.

Love “make an offer”. It’s great that you can get to have a mini haggle over the stated price. This often helps both parties arrive at a happy medium - especially as the shipping is sooooo much. That’s why I took off 2 stars. It’s pretty steep to pay $60 shipping for a item weighing 500gm going from China to Australia. Shipping is sometimes the same cost as the item!! Ridonk!

Disappointed. Advertising on instagram makes you believe that good pieces of fashion are on sale of cheap just so you download the app, when opening the app you’ll see that advertised articles are not on sale, this incorrect advertising and quite irritating!

RIDICULOUS. This App charge so much money as other fees. The seller advertise the goods for so fair price and then off We go to buy and boom. $65 delivery fees $25 authentication fees and $45 for GST to Australia They also charge some amount from seller too I mean I understand every App takes little bit money out of everything as a commission but This app is JUST RIDICULOUSLY expensive for delivery fees and everything DONT BE SO GREEDY PEOPLE 😡

I never received and none cares. I never received by expensive second hand bag, I have contacted by email but after 3 weeks now I still have not news, no bag, no refund... This is how much they cares about hem customers...

Please fix add to favourites/Wishlist bug. Been shopping on the app and online store and on both platforms the favourites and Wishlist button has bugs with several items not adding to favourites or Wishlist, only adding to one or refusing to add to either. The app/website needs one single reliable place to keep a list of cool items follow and maybe make an offer on.

Most transactions fail - for both buyers or sellers. The service is very constrained - typically the buyer wants to see more pictures or has questions and it is impossible to share any of the requested information when you sell and that makes it very hard to use. When you buy, after you bought the process goes through some checks and every time I bought it got cancelled either because item no longer available or because advertisement was misleading or some sort of problem - I actually never managed to buy anything there that didn’t have something wrong with it.

Fake products - bad service. AVOID. This app is a joke. I purchased a ‘leather’ YSL clutch and when it arrived the tag stated that it wasn’t leather and it was made in China. I shipped it back and they have just emailed me to say that the item is legitimate. 🤣🤣🤣 Not sure how that works when the tag clearly states the item isn’t leather, and I’m pretty sure Yves Saint Laurent isn’t made in China. They also accused me of stealing the strap that the bag came with. I would give zero stars if I could

Bag stuck together with DUCT TAPE. THOROUGHLY check every item you purchase on here. Vestiare’s authentication (which you pay extra for) missed a serious fault in my luxury purchase; a leather bag strap stuck together on the underside with DUCT TAPE. And since I myself didn’t notice it until a month later when the duct tape started to peel up and tear the leather up with it, the 72hrs had passed and they refused to help me. Even their help service was AI generated and nearly incoherent. The fault was theirs and their authentication team, but they’d already made money off me and their clauses covered them, so they didn’t care. Customer service is not a priority to these guys, no matter how expensive your purchase is.

Customer service. Don’t trust their coupon banners. My coupon didn’t work and customer service came back with changed conditions on the minimum spend. Asked for an explanation but no reply. I was looking forward to a good vintage platform but this isn’t it.

Great App but doesn’t show updates. Great for doing what it’s supposed too but my favourites are always behind with updates. If I remove items or add items it’s doesn’t show for a few days. I try refreshing but it doesn’t update. Kind of annoying. I have to look on the desktop version to my updates. Everything else works fine.

Good to sell, terrible to buy. I bought a Burberry trench and when I received it, I noticed a few marks and wear and tear which wasn’t reported at all. I contacted customer service several times and I did not receive one single reply. Terrible service and completely dismissive. This is why I will never buy or sell here ever again. I have sold with no problems so this is very disappointing. The shipping/ duties and taxes after are too expansive as well. Sometimes you rather pay a little extra and just get a brand new one with free shipping.

Sellers beware ⚠️. You are not protected via direct shipping when the product goes direct to the customer. An item I sold in brand new condition has been returned to me with holes and the zip broken. I have been selling on the platform for a few years now and have a great track record. As I didn’t have any photos of the areas of concern to contest this. I am now unable to sell the product as it is damaged and my seller rating is tarnished as a result. I have since uncovered forums with similar feedback. VC - the beauty of your platform is the authentification element of the sale of pre loved goods. You have failed sellers with this direct shipment option. Your customer service proposition also has a long way to go. Please consider training your team to read emails from members and empower them to reply with personalised responses that actually answer their enquiry. This has been a re-occurring theme since I joined the platform.

VC lost my original VCA authenticity certificate. Their app is very difficult to use, live chat doesn’t pull out your information. Your previous listing could not be retrieved. Charged expensive commission on sellers and make you heavily discounted your true value of product. I’ve had it after they losing my gold bracelet authentication without investigating and blame on seller didn’t send to them and blame DHL. Totally crazy ! Don’t sell your items don’t buy from them. You will REGRET!! Dark Business karma return to you VC ! I have contacted several times with your team! No one cares ! It’s over 2 Weeeks. Please escalate this to your high management!

Latest updates. The user experience has fallen off a cliff...terrible. Every time you select an individual item to look and and then try to return to the list screen you are sent back to the beginning. This means you need to scroll through the item you have already seen to try and find where you were up to. Infuriating. And a fast track to losing a ton of customer?!?!

Vestiaire needs to shut down worst company. Do not sell or buy with Vestiaire, do not bother. The courier company doesn’t come to collect your items, your buyers will be waiting in limbo before they even know what’s going on with their order. My buyer was waiting 2.5 weeks for her order, I was in contact with Vestiaire the entire time to make sure the courier would come and collect the item. They never arrived to pickup the order, so I got in contact again with Vestiaire and as they do reassure me they will come. This process took 2.5 weeks. Now I have lost a sale on vestiares end and their response was “you can just re list the item” I will definitely be removing all my items from their app and be spreading the word to everyone I know not to sell with them! If I could give no stars I would thats how shocking my experience has been.

Bad Site To Sell Your Precious Designer Items. Bad Customer Service.. This is the worst site I have ever experienced. Even listing your items is terrible. One thing don’t like is, your items aren’t visible unless you drop the ridiculous amount of your pricing. They cheapened and want your item to be sold really cheap plus you don’t get nothing because of ridiculous fees they charged. If you want to sell your expensive stuff and get bananas, you sold here. But if you want to get the price you wanted then stay away from this site. They don’t value sellers that made them lots of $$$. Bad customer service, unresponsive and nothunv is too important to them but ripping you off and money. If you are thinking of using this t sell or buy, I recommend to not use this because you will experience horror and stressful experience. Stay away!

Nothing but good experiences. I would highly recommend VC. Especially for accessories and second hand leather goods. I decided this year that if I was going to wear leather it had to be second hand.

Bad purchase experience. Maybe not the about the app it’s about the bad purchase experience. I was back and front into accepting the deal and finishing the payment and getting refund back for 4 times. And my money has been kept by third party for a month totally. I didn’t get what I want and I lost all my interest due to the incredibly long process.

Terrible selling company. Provided proof of buying of an item and when it was sold, the authentication team have regarded as an item that is “unable to be verified its authenticity” and I have the pay an extra €15 for MY OWN item to be shipped back to me just because it “failed” the authentication process. In addition to this horrible doing, postage are as much as $40-60 even when in the same country and additional authentication check price. So much fees that you might missed. Horrible selling company.

Worst customer service, highest costs charged for purchases. This site is a complete disaster. They overcharge on everything- nearly $50 cad to send an item even if the item costs 10 euros! For an item costing 70 euros you pay over 200 with their added charges of shipping, authentification, usurious import charges and extra taxes on every sale. Disastrous customer service. The online assistants give different answers every time, and there is no longer a way to talk to them. They also are very unhelpful. Enormous thumbs down.

Unable to post a listing. I’ve been trying to sell an item, however every time I try to post, it says “error came up, please try again later”.

Frustrating - can’t log in on app. Absolutely frustrated again — I have tried to use the app on my iPad a few months back after using the website for several years (I am a happy customer), and I gave it a shot again today - both times I could not log in after several attempts because the app is not recognizing either my usernames/ email or my password. At the same time, as a test, I have logged in on Safari successfully. I have done this same test a few months back, with the same results. I can log in on desktop in several browsers, and on Safari and Chrome on iPad, but never on this app. I give up, I feel super frustrated and have no wish to try using the app again. I will stick to desktop, though with a slightly sour taste in my mouth... Take a page from Yoox (I am their happy customer, too, but via the app), and improve the experience - it will bring you even more business.

Scammed me. I only got the app to make a purchase to use the promo code WELCOMEWW which I applied to my order and was shown the discounted amount. After reviewing and proceeding to payment I was redirected to PayPal which automatically did my payment. When I was brought back to the app and was shown an order completion I realized that the coupon was not applied. I contacted them to tell them of the issue and they asked me for a screenshot of the cart... I don’t know how that would be possible to provide as I already purchased the item. I provided them with everything else that they asked for. And after some back and forth they said they will give me a free shipping coupon for my next order, they will not refund me the amount of the coupon of cancel my order for me to reapply the promo code that I 100% added. I am beyond baffled So basically their app messed up and their only solution to the problem is “hey spend more money and get to use the coupon”. I am baffled that a trusted and legitimate business is only contactable by email, no phone number. And that a refund is “beyond their control”. I wouldn’t suggest using the app or the site at all unless you want to be a victim of fraud and bad customer service.

Rating pop ups. Rating popups on their own are worth a zero star. Two rating popups within three taps in the app is worth uninstalling. Don’t do this.

Awful waste of time. App is super slow and glitchy. Everything is overpriced.

Where is the customer service?!. I use the app. have purchased with the app and I also sell. When it works, it’s fine, but when you have an issue, there is a complete lack of customer service. I notice that the app has responded to my review here but yet not provided or informed me on how to contact them about an expensive item I tried to sell with them which is now lost by the post service *they* chose to send the item with.

Not worth it for Canadian buyers. I made my first purchase a few days ago and thought I was getting a good deal, however when I checked out, the import duties & taxes were pretty high but was expected since it was coming from France. Today I get an email from DHL saying that my package is held at customs and asking me to pay for import duties & taxes that I’ve already paid for as part of my purchase total. Spent an hour on the phone with 2 different DHL reps and was told they couldn’t find an acct # for the waybill I was quoted by Vestiaire. I was told to forward my receipt to one of their customer service inboxes regarding the discrepancy and now waiting to hear back from them. Not sure if this is an error on DHL’s end or Vestiaire’s but definitely not worth the effort!

Not authentic. I purchased a Dior top that passed their authentication process but when I received it it’s so obvious it’s not authentic. I’m shocked that this passed their authentication. Will never purchase again

Rip-off prefer the real real. What a sketchy, sketchy SKETCHY business. All sorts of hidden fees added at the checkout RIGHT before you pay. A ‘fee’ for authentication. Insanely high duty charges - the most I’ve ever seen charged. High shipping costs. NO OPTION TO PAY one shipping shipping charge for multiple items. I had a # of items in my cart and at checkout I had a bunch of separate $30+ shipping charges bc the items were from different sellers. Rip off. I tried to purchase an item for sale at $40. There was over $65 in shipping and extra charges added at checkout. Not worth it. So many better sites to buy consigned designer. Beware of this one. Ridiculous charges.

Expensive and oh so slow. Terribly slow shipping and price becomes so inflated once they add multiple fees! Authentication fee, customs fee, shipping fee - not every thing gets stopped by customs! Cash grab! Deleted app - bye

Trash. I had sold an item and they claim to have “free shipping labels” for the sellers. It took them several times to get my label right and in the end, they rejected my item because it took too long to get there. When they shipped my bag back to me, they made me pay the duty fee which was a whopping 148 dollars ????

App is terrible. -when you need to go back to the lists from an item page it resets all filters and goes to top of the page. This happened so much I deleted the app entirely. -the picture scroll doesn’t always work -WHY do they show the sold products mixed in with filters? The default should be hidden sold products not the other way.

fake items. went on there to look for some vivienne westwood jewelry and could tell that half the items on there were fake right away. do your research before buying. disappointed

Horrible customer service. The worst customer service I’ve ever had. I sold an item for basically nothing they found something wrong with it and wanted to bring down the price even further for the buyer. I was unable to access the report where it described what the issue with the item was and decide weather or not I wanted to accept the new proposed price, it took them over a week to try and resolve and I had to go out of my way to contact them because I just never ended up hearing back from them. Every time I contact them they have no idea what’s going on. You can tell by their responses that they simply just don’t care and that they don’t even know what the issue is because they rely with things that make no sense. I declined at the end and had them ship the item back to me because it was taking too long and I wasn’t going to sell for so cheap and plus they take way too big of a cut. When the item got back to me I had to pay $30 in import fees!! I was shocked! They refused to reimburse me for it. They also make you pay the import and duty fees upfront. It’s not a choice. I’ve never ever had to pay these fees this way on any other website before. It’s always either a choice wether or not you want to pay when you buy the item or you pay once the item arrives to you. So ridiculous. If you want to sell your things for basically nothing then this is the place for you, if you want to make back a decent amount of what you paid then don’t even bother.

Lie after lie. This company never tells the truth about anything. I have been trying to get my payment for over a month. One lie after another . The website is below average just like the customer service people.

Zero protection shopping on this app. Fraudulent.. Buyers beware. The app works fine in that you can browse and purchase items, but do not expect you are going to receive them. Vestiaire Collective will keep your money though. The sent me an empty box and basically said too bad. Three weeks since I first received the empty box and many emails back and forth and many “we understand your frustration” replies but zero action on their part.

Extra Fees Are Expensive. This is definitely the worst secondhand luxury app. The extra fees are ridiculous, every item is at least $100 more than listed because of their authentication and shipping prices. Other apps authenticate their items without charging you $40.

Customer service is incompetent and frustrating. I’d love to share my whole experience and back and forth emails here but I honestly don’t want to waste more time on this. (15 back and forths) The customer service seems to be run by interns that use ready made replies or a robot that A doesn’t read your message, B is handed from one incompetent person to another without the details of the issue or your message forwarded to the next. Therefore a huge waste of time that resolves nothing. Possibly the worst service I have encountered. (and this is about the second time I make the effort to leave a review somewhere). That being said, only AFTER you have gone through the process of negotiating a price for an item with a seller do you get surprise fees at check out. For my part, located in Canada, duties of 41% of the price of the item popped up at check out on an item that, had I purchased it directly from the brand, would not have included duties as it is made in the USA and we have a free trade agreement that covers this. Assuming the rules are different for secondhand items, a requested a breakdown of these fees and wanted to know what was declared to better understand why I was charged 41% fees. I have also attempted to inquire if items located in Canada travel through the USA and back if also purchased in Canada with NO answer. This I would find to be highly wasteful for a company that is supposed to be a sustainable solution. They do not offer an option to avoid the verification process (at least not on my purchase) which would allow you to avoid extra shipping (and environmental impact) and speed up the process as well. Needless to say, I have wasted way too much time and energy TRYING to get this information through their “customer service”. Vestiaire, I would suggest leaving the customs fees to the carrier! At least then the customer gets an invoice with actual details of what duties and taxes are charged and what was declared. I would also recommend changing out your customer service system completely.

Banned from chat and crazy customs fees. When looking for a specific item, I found a seller on this app selling my size. A $310 item turned into $470 by the time I went through the check out due to customs fees, shipping, insurance, and control fees. 30% duties seems incredibly high - likely because they ship items to the US for authentication, then ship them to you - does this mean I’m paying duties twice? There’s no way to avoid this authentication either. Because of the large jump in price, I messaged the seller asking if she would be willing to take an offer on the item. I didn’t hear back so I checked a day later and I’ve been banned from the chat function. I reviewed the link provided - not only did I not receive an email stating why I was banned/that I was banned to begin with - nothing I said was included in the reasons why you may be banned. I simply asked to negotiate the price. I’m not sure why anyone would use this platform as a customer or a seller, with the crazy high fees and getting banned for trying to discuss price on a second hand item - the app literally encourages you to do so. I will never be using your services going forward, and this is not even mentioning the app not remembering filters which makes browsing for something in your size very difficult.

Commission Structure. If commissions structure is changing we should be notified when we are on the app and updated across all of your website pages. Why does one page say commission + processing fee = 15% and another page says it’s 18%.

Dear VC. There are few things about the App - The chat with me function disappears after I switch to another page for info. They should appear as the bubble on the screen for easy access, also notification in case I miss a response from customer service (this happens all the time btw, costing both side time) - The app is really rigid in terms of removing item. For instance: A buyers paid for my necklace, but turns after tax, it was out of her budget. So she ask me to cancel the sale. Which I did. Then this necklace goes straight to my sold item section. I tried remove it and relist it, but the app or customer service cannot help. And if I put the item back online, the customer service can only list it back with the sold price (lower- post negation price). Very frustrating! About VC: Not very transparent and high duty - I had serval complaints about the high duties (did they double it?). I had the buyer from the Canada (where I reside as well). She told me the customer service told her, she had to pay for high duties because all items were ship out from Paris. What? I was confused? As a buyer, I was always asked to ship my item to NY for authentication (I’m pretty sure they have a office at NY). If they really ship out all item from Paris, it would not be logistically sustainable . But anyways, seems like all the duties comes down to the buyers, well and the seller (we pay commission up to 25% depending on the price, if your item is over 8000, then they take a fixed commission of 2000.) Need improvements or it will be take over by competitors. Because you got a lot of unhappy customers :)

They sell fake one!. I got a designer bag a year ago and it was a fake one. I sent an e-mail about it but didn’t get any answer.

Lost sales due to bugs. I’ve lost sales to due bugs in the app. I’ve reported the bug and sent screenshots over many times but no change, very disappointing ...

Scams and mistreat sellers. I sold a beautiful excellent condition Hermes Birkin bag on here recently, after they confirmed it’s authentic, they emailed notifying me they are sending it to the Hermes spa because of scratches inside the bag and will be deducting USD 275 from my payment without my permission or approval. I took pictures of the bag before I shipped it out, there are no scratches in the interior upon my inspection. I also sold the bag for an amazing price, and would never have sold for so low if I knew they were going to just steal from the final AGREED sold amount. They’re already getting a 2k cut from the sale of my valuable bag, I guess the 2k wasn’t enough and they wanted more for themselves. They didn’t provide me proof of scratches, proof of cost for Hermes spa, no information or documentation was provided. Vestiare is thievery at its finest. They mistreat sellers, and take your money without permission. BEWARE & SELL ELSEWHERE!

Garbage. Buyers and sellers beware. I sold an item, shipped it and later received a notice that the order had been canceled for not being shipped. I’ve reached out three times for help- to either get paid or to get the item back- and nothing. This company does not have the proper infrastructure in place, it’s maddening they are even operating.

Improvement. I recently joined this app and things seem really great so far. My only concern is that there is no option to cancel tour order within 24 hrs or less. I wish there was such an option as the item usually takes several days to be shipped to the buyer. This is a huge concern and I hope this is something the company look look at in the future. Also, I noticed that some of the buyers have their chats off. That shouldn't be allowed.

Good but could be better. 1. My items are listed in CAD but the currency is not the same in my offers so I’m always confused as to how much it really is. 2. Manny ppl go back and forth on offers and when you accept they don’t buy it.. I wish there was a secured payment method like Poshmark. You know it’s serious buyers. 3. Duties are so high.. not sure why we pay so much on used goods.. should be something vestiaire collective look into?? 4. Lastly, many purchases not received bcs the sellers changed their mind when I’ve waiting almost a month to be told sorry... penalty??

Buyer Beware!. Disappointing experience! I purchased a pair of boots through them, which weren’t the verified size and now I’ve spent almost a month trying to get a refund. It’s been such a pain! Still haven’t received any money back, despite returning the boots.

Ridiculous. Sold a $4000 value dress for $490 took over a week for them to even get the package via fedex and then upon quality control claimed my item wasn’t as described. The dress was brand new with tags, tried on once and they claimed it had a bad odour and staining. 2 tiny deodorant marks on the INTERIOR of the dress was what they claimed were “stains”. Then had the buyer cancel the sale all because of this companies claims. Took all my listings down and will never sell on here again

Robbery. They stole my products it was a dior jacket and Gucci shoes and I sent an email no response so they should be ready for a serious law suit coming on their way very soo

App is good, the business model 👎🏼👎🏼. I was excited to try this, however I have made little to no purchases so far. The fees and verification on low cost items is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. A $50 tops ends up being $100 with fees. Why is a anything under $100 even being authenticated, what exactly is happening in this authentication process. I totally understand it for luxury brands and high tag items. But a low cost item from an unknown brand being authenticated?? I don’t get it.

Cost of items is virtually doubles. The duties, shipping, fees, etc attached make the item twice as expensive as it says on the app/website. Very frustrating.

Needs improvement. The user ought to be able to save basic specs in their profile - for example, one’s shoe size and blouse size, so that the products shown are automatically the right size, unless we specify otherwise. The options should be thus: 1. Shopping for yourself (all the sizes already saved by user) or 2. Shopping for someone else (manually enter sizes via filter.) Otherwise one is forced to manually enter these details for each and every search, or browse through numerous products that are ultimately the wrong size. If the app already knows my size, then I can just search by price range and see everything available for me. That would be amazing.

No trustworthy. Seller can easily say item is unavailable even after the payment has been made. Vestiaire then reimbursed me with a $20 CDN voucher with a minimum purchase of $150 CDN as an apology. The purchase I made was over $3000 CDN.

The app is bad, but the site is worse?. Kind of incredible how unusable Vestiaire Collective is just from the standpoint of basic infrastructure, going on for YEARS now with no end in sight. Absolutely riddled with technical issues that make virtually every interaction with this site impossible. Like I’m just trying to spend my money and they make it as torturous and inconvenient a process as possible. Customer service reps provide zero solutions, but that’s hardly their fault.

Something is wrong with app. I still show in my page a picture of two articles that I sold long time ago with the request to send it. My articles were sold, sent, received by you and I received the payment months ago. Every time I sell an item, I see the message of the same old article besides the actual one. I erased the app over 20 times to see if that would erase the old message but it still showing up 😤Support@Vestiaire cannot do anything, they keep telling me to erase the app and activate it again. I have been without the app for at least a week thinking it could work and actualize my page, but it doesn’t. It somehow shows that I own you something and it bothers me. Please tell me how to fix it.

Scammers. Not a good app for sellers.. Sold my bag and they rejected it after the QC and after paying for my own bag to get shipped back to me, I had to pay $1500 for duties. For my own bag??!!! So now, they are sending MY BAG back to them and probably getting destroyed. Stay away from this app, better just sell on Ebay than this trash.

Double Charge for Duty. I love the variety this site offers however they double charge duty for international customers and don’t refund, takes multiple inquiries, very poor communication in customer service. I wish they would go back to the previous system of not charging duty at check out , as they are charging more than DHL.

Lack of awareness with covid climate. They have a complete lack of awareness with the current covid climate, they keep cancelling my sales after 7 days even though I have shipped the item because the tracking will sometimes take a day or two to update. I contact the buyers and they are understanding and not in a rush but Vestiare will automatically cancel the sale if they don’t receive the item in their warehouse by day 7 which is so ridiculous. They are not giving the buyer OR the seller any choice in the matter and have no regard to the fact that there are shipping delays, reduced store hours at fed ex drop off centers, personal complications, jobs, etc that get in the way. It’s the worst resale app I have ever encountered and I use 6 different services.

Addictive app if you love fashion. Downloaded this app a few months ago and am absolutely addicted! I scroll for hours while watching Netflix & have accumulated a crazy amount of pieces on my wish list. I’ve ordered a few times and everything has been received in like new condition with a cute tag telling me who checked the piece and when, and in a branded dust bag.

VERY disappointed and upset. I’d give them zero stars if I could…first off, I sold one of my Louis Vuitton bags on this website for a good amount of money. I shipped my bag off and it never started “tracking”. I contacted support multiple times and it took days to respond to me. The buyer messaged me and told me they received the bag (when the bag still didn’t have tracking). The buyer had my bag and I have STILL not been payed for my bag and it’s been 7 days!!!!!! I’ve messaged support about 30 times and NOBODY is responding to me. This has been super frustrating. I’m out a bag and the money. They are a joke to work with. You will never get ahold of anyone when you have a problem.

Missing items and cancellations after purchase. I’ve bought lots of item in the 10s of thousands. I’ve had numerous cancelled after purchase and 2 items that never made it and I had to call when I finally remembered to have them refunded. the customer service was mediocre at best. Ended the chat and said we will email you with a resolution, when all I’m asking is what happened to the shoes I paid for. I am not using app again and would encourage anyone ready to listen not to once I get my refund on shoe that I purchased last week of august.

Vestiaire didn’t pay me. I sold an item on April 15 and it was sent direct to New York for authentication. They received it on April 22 and it was signed for. To this day they have not paid me for my item and nobody helps after contacting them 60 times. All they say is the experts are looking into it. There are no experts. They’re just a bunch of robots who repeat the same thing over and over and never find a solution. I am sick to death of explaining to them over and over again that I have not been paid and that the item was signed for and delivered a month ago. Watch out if you’re selling on this app.

SCAM. First time trying pre loved purchasing. $1000 later never even got my package. Said it was delivered to my door. Customer service is a bit and not even AI literally just asks you questions and sends the same message. Good luck trying to get a real person. Untried emailing but everytime I chose the topic shipment it automatically closed out of the email form on their website. I had to choose a different topic which means I doubt I’ll ever hear back from them. I’ll be disputing the charge with my bank and reporting to BBB. I can’t even believe the good reviews here.

Cannot get a refund from item that does not match the description. I bought a pair of heels on this app. It is worn that what seller described “very good condition”. It has more stains, color change and a noticeable little hole on one of the heels. I contacted them and got in chat with an agent. Well, they asked me to return back the item to them for a second authentication to see if the items are really “does not match the description.” If they did match the description, why do I have to request a return and a refund? Duh I’m leaving this review until I get the result! I’m so disappointed because I have shopped from this app for a while now, bought a lot of items from them, until this kind of thing happened. :(

App Not Working For Me. I’m thinking of closing my shop, as this is just one more of a few other issues I’ve been experiencing. When using the app, Vestiaire for what ever reason translates & changes the wording in my item descriptions. As a result, the grammar becomes confusing & words are changed. This is mortifying because buyers read this, and a lot of it doesn’t make sense, and often provide false information on what I’m selling. You cannot quickly edit the descriptions. You have to talk to chat support and wait at least 24 hrs for someone to approve. Sometimes they never update my listings after submitting my changes to them. It’s been a 50/50 chance of having the listing updated properly by support. Strangely, if I use the mobile site instead of the app, there are no translations to my descriptions. I think this site could be amazing. But we need to be able to edit descriptions & add additional photos on our own. Or it’s just too much time wasted in chat support.

Buyers Cop Out. I only gave this one star because there’s no option for zero stars. I have had 2 buyers negotiate prices with me that I have accepted (Balenciaga item), and then fail to complete the purchase, i.e., pay. The app does not display buyer i.d. information so I can’t tell if it’s the same person or a new person, and I’m negotiating blind. The app also has no option to email customer service, so I’m stuck trying to call the UK or France to find out what’s going on. So far, it’s been a colossal waste of time. It feels like the same scam experience I’ve had on Craigslist. I’d be better off on ebay. I give the service a big fat zero. The app is fine. But there’s no actual business to back it up.

Worst customer support - beware of issues. I love the concept of this app but anytime there is even a slight issue beware that you’ll get no support from their team. I’ve had a dress I bought waiting to be shipped for over two weeks due to continual issues with the label being incorrect and the seller not being able to ship it. Customer support takes at least a day to get back to me every time and when they do it’s a generic response with no actual help or resolution. I’m still waiting for them to solve my issue and have no idea when that will be…

Very disappointed, spam. Brought a coat from this site has never delivered to me, emailing them for 30 days not even a refund or received the coat. Brought another bag, delivered with lots of defaults, seller intentionally avoid those defaults when he/she is taking the pictures. VC still put on the tag of verified authentic and true to the description even though the bag is nowhere close to the ”perfect condition”. There is nowhere you can call them, you can not return it, if you email them they'll tell you they are really sorry but just keep waiting.

Stay away. This company is a Ponzi scheme. First off, they have no phone number, huge red flag. It gets better. I recently purchased a wallet on their site and they said it was authenticated and I received it. About a month later I didn’t need it anymore so I listed it and the geniuses at their so called authenticity department said they couldn’t authenticate it. So I sent them the receipt of purchase from their own company and the idiots had nothing to say. I had my lawyer file a lawsuit in nyc because it’s very obvious that they choose who they want to authenticate and I’m looking forward to them explaining this to a judge. They know nothing about nothing. Stay away. And the customers have no money.

Disappointing. Ordered an item that was a personal Grail for me, and was told that if the seller didn’t ship in 7 days I’d get an automatic refund. 10 days later and after contacting a customer service agent I was informed that the item isn’t available anymore. This was from one of their “trusted sellers,” so I’m not keen on doing business here again. If you’re selling designer and luxury clothing, your approved sellers represent your business. Also, I used my welcome $25 off coupon for the purchase and was offered a $15 voucher for the cancellation so that’s an extra added insult. Going back to TRR and Grailed after this experience.

Use with caution. I downloaded this app after being a trusted eBay seller for over a decade. I thought being geared towards more high end items it would be a good experience. Instead I had an absolute nightmare of a run around for weeks from their ‘Support’ team to get payment for a sold item. During the time I was waiting for payment, I was bounced around an array of representatives, each response I received was from a new person. Not very reassuring when an issue arises. Each person would confuse parts of the ongoing issue and respond without clear paths to resolution or transparency as there was no thread of understanding. It made me concerned about selling more goods and stopped me from wanting to list higher priced items. Sellers beware. I have deactivated my account as the team didn’t even have the grace to return the selling fee the took from my item. I genuinely suffered hours and hours of customer support issues. Returning the fee might have kept me on the platform and not writing poor reviews. I don’t need these added headaches as I’m sure many others don’t.

Horrible and ridiculous shipping service. Bought a scarf at the beginning of Feb and be the mid of March, I found the item showing at the custom clearance for 2 weeks despite that I have paid importing tax with the website! Called several times to their costumer service and they are useless and the carrier is a French one heh could not even provide a phone number to call?! I just got an email by the websites that indicated I would need call a number to pay the importing tax again and then refunded by the website. Yes the phone was an invalid one! Really just want to get my money back and forget the scarf! What a pain!

Good app, needs improvement.. There has been defects for far too long for the app to be a 5 star app. The most (for lack of a better word) annoying one, being that when you select what size you’re looking for, you’re flooded with sizes surrounding the one that you’ve chosen. If I chose a size, I expect to see that size and not ones that I didn’t select. Unfortunately this has been the case for a very very very long time (i’d say years, but I can’t remember. I can definitely say at least a year because I am certain of that.) But as for the services, i’d definitely give it a 5.

Very easy to use. I’ve read so many bad things about this website but I’m hear to say THEY ARE NOT TRUE! I’ve had an easy experience buying high end bags with this website and even when I had a question and I sent customer service an email, they responded with in an hour. Sold me a fake!. I thought I was purchasing a authentic Louis Vuitton koala wallet I paid for it to be authenticated they said they had verified it and when I receive the wallet that I paid over $400 $403 to be exact it was a fake, called the number couldn’t talk to anyone had to get on a chat with someone first was Leo which was just a virtual person second was Christina D and I was told that I could return it and there will be a link under my order page there never was a link never found it and you only have seven days to return it, will never order from these sites again thankfully it was only $400 hope they choke on it.

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.. The new app updates are so terrible and bug ridden that I’m going to start shopping on other sites. It is ridiculous how bad the new app is. The interface is jumbled and the UX is awful, there are so many unnecessary clicks and confusing actions. Wishlists and favorites disappeared for awhile. It’s nice that they fixed that but the app is SO unresponsive that it takes forever to do anything. I don’t know why they felt like they needed to ruin a good thing. Aside from it being the more expensive luxury consignment site, it had the most authentic range. Unfortunately it has lost me this point because it is such a poor user experience trying to shop with them.

Don’t even bother. I have been reselling full time for the past 4 years, located in the US, and have used all sorts of selling platforms. I find that this website is hard to use, the app is also not user friendly and few things are not functional. When you list something they take long to approve or to not approve and when they don’t, they don’t tell you why either. Support seems lacking and everything just seems so pretentious and difficult. Luckily, there are many other selling platforms. For luxury items, I have sold and bought very easily and safely on eBay, Poshmark and even Tradesy, they all have authentication services. So this app I’ll be deleting.

Seller experience. I wanted to love this app so much because it has many users and I thought I could sell my vintage luxury pieces easily. 1. The app tells you to lower your price all the time, by giving ridiculously low recommended prices (240€ for an Hermés blazer???) 2. Once you sell there is no detailed description of how to ship/ when you'll get the money/ if you'll pay extra for shipping...The customer service doesn't help you either. My overall experience as a seller is bad since everything on this app is allover the place, but I'm giving 2 stars because as a buyer you can find many pieces

Love the concept, but…. This app has always been incredibly buggy. The search function is terrible — if you search for something like “black shoes” you’ll routinely see photos of bags, clothes, etc. Items are also labeled oddly, and I’m not sure if that’s a language translation issue since this is French app. Moreover, I received a counteroffer on an item I wanted to buy, but I got no notification about it. Doesn’t that seem like something you should get a notification for?

Buyer beware. If the items doesn’t fit, which is highly likely, you will be stuck with that item. You may re-list it, but then only asked to lower your price over and over. I bought a jacket. The same size as all the other jackets in my closet. It fit everywhere fine except the sleeves near the armpit were unusually narrow. So much so that it is not wearable. Now I am stuck with a poor fitting jacket that really no one should buy. It is listed on their website now along with many other poorly fitting clothing items I am sure people are desperately trying to return. Do yourself a favor and buy in a store where you can try on an item before buying it. If you can’t afford a designer clothing, you really shouldn’t pay for something that doesn’t fit well. Lesson learned

Horrible customer service. I tried to buy a ring on this app. After a week, the seller never shipped the item and removed the item from their sales page. I was charged for the item and Vestiaire never reached out to me to let me know the item was no longer available. I had to contact them. All I got was a reply that basically said the item was no longer for sale and that they would get back to me in THREE DAYS to let me know how to resolve the issue. But like.... why not just refund me the same day you realize the item you charged me for isn’t available? Like what other solution could there possibly be, and why does it take 3 days to come to a solution? It’s just so stupid. I just want my money back.

The worst selling app. Although it’s a reputable selling place, I find it the worst app ever. Too many issues one after another. Everything takes forever. When I have a major issue, never solved and end up canceling the listing or order because they can’t fix the problem at all. No one ever get back to me for those matter. I only use it because I need to sell high end item and other people use this app to buy those. One of the highest comm they take and give you terrible, actually the worst service for sellers. I think it’s better for buyers. But for sellers, I would not recommend!

Terrible customer service. Twice now I’ve had vestiaire cancel my order upon inspection, citing “stains” but not providing pictures or a chance for me to approve the purchase anyway. Recently, an order was canceled at their hub, due to “stains” but when I contacted them saying I wanted the item anyway - they still continued with the return and suddenly told me it was not because of stains, but actually because “the seller wanted their item back.” Ridiculous. I asked for a coupon or some sort of incentive to keep shopping from them, and was told they would send one but they never did. They also have a subscription service which allows users to buy into listings and save them in the bag. Apparently I cannot subscribe and it was incredibly disappointing seeing an item I was looking for for years sit in someone’s bag for hours while they kept renewing it before checking out. Sometimes don’t even see new items from brands I like because the subscribers just purchase them before they reach the general market. I’d rate this app 3/10.

Poor Quality. I bought an expensive vintage designer dress that had major, undisclosed flaws. The design of the dress includes many seams which were filled with a thin wire to give the dress structure. The seller did not disclose that the wires were all broken and poking into the inside and outside of the dress, making it completely unwearable. I sent the dress back for a re-check, including notes that drew attention to the flaws, but Vestiaire found that the dress was acceptable and matched the description the seller provided. What a shame and embarrassment. This is my last purchase with VC, and I will be closing my account if and when this dress sells from my account. Woe to the person the buys it, but I have no means of recouping the funds otherwise.

Terrible business. I am never shopping here again. I purchased an item off of Vestiaire Collective over a month ago, the item reached their warehouse within days of the order and was authenticated. But it still has not been shipped from the warehouse to me. Even though it says that it will be sent to me within 24 hours. I’ve reached out to customer service on numerous occasions, they repeatedly have told me they will get back with a resolution within 48 hours, but I never receive any response. I’ve been charged for an item that I have not received, and I have been offered zero help or resolution from customer service.

Horrible site. I agree with the last reviewer. My experience on this site has been 2 purchases, 0 follow through by sellers. Plus they keep your money for 30 days “in case the seller decides to do their part and ship the purchased item to them”. Today marks 30 days for me and I’m waiting for my money back. Then I will stop using this site. It just doesn’t work.

Only Buy from People With Selling History. CONS: A lesson I learned after buying numerous Moncler jackets that never got sent to me - sellers create fake posts, take in the funds until the shipping expiration date, then never send the product. You essentially have to wait 13 days every time for a refund. Quick advice to the Vestiaire team: don’t release funds until a package has been sent with tracking. With new sellers, don’t remit payment until the item has been received. I’ll likely get a response: ‘Well the seller has 7 days to ship otherwise it cancels, then a refund.’ Also, my promotion codes haven’t worked on the app since I started. PROs: Incredible access to a wide network of vintage/used products. App user experience is great.

Love the new App, still some bugs.. I love the new app. Definitely much more user friendly. Something important that is no longer available is the fact that you can no longer filter items that have shipping restrictions to your country which just gives you items that you cannot purchase. Also accessories under male or female is no longer available.

BUYER BEWARE!. If there’s an issue with your order customer service claims that they have no way to contact the seller. They barely even followed up with my emails. I had to keep reaching out to see if they could contact the seller. I was instructed to leave “comments” on the item and the seller would reply. Well of course they didn’t reply and the company didn’t care. First and LAST time I’ll be using this app. It’s far fetched to believe that a company would have no way to reach “trusted sellers”. Actually ANY SELLER! If you’re a business you need to have a business model that’s fair to buyers and sellers. I’ll stick to Poshmark because Vestiaire needs a bit more growing to do as a business.

Horrible customer service. I have ordered a couple things from them, great prices, but I recently ordered an item that got lost in the mail. It has been one month, and no one reached out to me about my missing order. I finally contacted them, they responded saying it hadn’t been long enough for them to do an investigation. A week ago, I sent another message, and finally got a response, that was not helpful at all. At this point I just want the ordered canceled and refunded. It’s not worth the trouble.

This may be the worst reselling app. I had to migrate here from Tradesy, where I sold a lot! Most of my listings transferred (some did not, not sure why), but some of the descriptions are totally wrong and it looks like it is impossible to edit a description once it’s up. Why make this so difficult for sellers? Why would I have to waste time and contact customer service to change my own listing. It’s ridiculous. Another glitch is that when someone makes an offer and I accept, it goes back to the buyer again to confirm. Why? The offers should stick if accepted. On both sides. That’s how it works on every other website. It is not user friendly, takes too long to upload listings, and is to rigid. Can’t edit anything and if a brand isn’t on their list, it’s listed as “unsigned.” That’s great for sales. I think I’m just going to stick to Poshmark. This has been a colossal waste of time. I miss Tradesy.

Crooked. Only care about money and taking advantage on sellers. There’s never any consistency whether the item is authentic or not depending on who’s reviewer for the day. Most my items were bought here but being refused to repost/resell. The customer services are either very rude and unhelpful or very helpful again it’s depending on the person. Always finding little things on the check even it’s on the description clearly says being worn. Always expecting to have brand new items to be listed for 1$. Who would go buy at the store for $2000 and then resell at Vestiaire for $20 without being worn at all? A psycho?

Worst I’ve ever experienced. Stay away!. I made a sale on this site for $150. Not only did the sale get canceled, but I was not notified and the item wasn’t returned to to me. VC plays middle man. I couldn’t contact a buyer and…they have next to ZERO customer support and zero voice support. Stay away. If they can manage to do this how can you expect them to sell fashion that is authentic? Run! They are apathetic and basically thieves. Imagine…making a sale, shipping the item with the label they give you and *poof* no cash and no item. About as bad as it can get. Total fraudsters.

Steer clear. As a seller I don’t recommend this app. It’s rather easy to sell but every few weeks they’ll ask you to confirm your items are still for sale or they’ll remove them. It’s time consuming and inconvenient. Also, they have issues with updating the shipping information, so you’ll have to reach out to them constantly to update the tracking, to release your money and then on top of it they’ll slap you with removing your trusted seller badge because you “didn’t ship on time” when in fact you shipped within 24h. Customer service is decent, 1 out of 3 conversations will lead to a resolution.

Worst app ever. I don’t know how this app has more than one star because it’s the worst app ever. For over 3 months I have sent emails to what appears to be the abyss regarding my inability to sign into my account. I get a message with your account does not exist, yet I have items listed for sale. When I get messages from potential buyers, I can’t open the message for days. Every action if followed by an error message. It’s just the most frustrating thing out there. You can’t sign on, you can’t interact with the community because there’s always an error message. I have uninstalled and installed many times than I care to count. I wish tradesy was allowed to thrive because vestiaire is not it.

Zero accountability. VC may have a good assortment of luxury items, but there’s no guarantee you’ll actually ever receive an item you purchase. If a seller has already sold an item or decides they don’t want to ship it, VC will follow up with them only twice in 30 days after the initial sale, and will refund you only after the 30 days. Sellers are not penalized at all, so you have no idea if you’re buying from someone reliable or not. And for all your trouble, VC will give you a $15 credit, but ONLY IF you spend another $100 on the site. How generous... bottom line, there are other, better luxury platforms that care more for customer’s needs than VC.

Easy returns. Chat with us is extremely easy and fast. I cannot get enough of it. Some glitches on the software. All over the planet you can buy from. I wished I would have known it sooner. Never received my money. I had the worst experience ever! I have been reselling on other apps without a problem. I sold one item on here and shipped it out a bit later however the buyer knew the situation that was going on and understood . And I never received my pay out for a Hermes beautiful Men’s Neck Tie and on top of that they locked me out ! I had contacted support during the whole process to No Response . So now not only am I out of my payout I am now locked out and can not contact support any more . I have never received such lack of seller support than I did with them. Awful experience! I have NEVER written a 1 Star review before . I thought long and hard before doing so .

Sellers Are Questionable. I have looked at several items and read the reviews before asking a question. It seems that a lot of the sellers never respond and some postings have been up for months based on when a question was asked. I’ve also made bids on items with no response. Not sure if the sellers are even active or just left a listing up and never visit the site. I’m concerned about buying something and having the seller never follow through or having trouble with the product/ item not as described and having no recourse. It doesn’t seem like there are enough checks and balances on this site requiring the sellers to stay active, respond to buyers, post additional pictures, respond to an offer.

got fake shoes and they wouldn’t refund. i ordered a pair of raf simons adidas ozweegos from here and they came in after a short notice which was nice but i noticed as soon as i got them the bottom of the shoes were plastic and obviously phony so i sent them back to vestiaire to see and try and get a refund. After them receiving them it felt like they didn’t even look at the shoes and said they were genuine when i sent a picture and video comparing my real raf simons and the outsoles were rubber compared to the fake plasticky trash they sold me. unbelievable and never shopping here again knowing they openly support and sell fakes so if u are selling fakes and getting caught come here and do it and u won’t even bat an eye to the “authenticators”. absolute garbage corporation.

Sigh. Shipping of items takes forever. I appreciate the focus on authenticity of items but if we are being honest many items don’t necessarily need to be shipped anywhere and physically checked for authenticity. I think it should be optional for the buyer. Like, if I already feel confident that an item I purchased is real then I don’t really want to pay double for shipping AND wait double the amount of time for shipping plus however long it takes them to authenticate. Apparently the authenticators aren’t particularly competent either, so what is the point?

Very unreliable service. At first the service seems to be a heaven for the buyer - such a huge collection of rare items from all over the world with great prices. But when you actually start buying you feel like you are being scammed: 1) buyer have ridiculous 30 days to send the item - and no guarantee they actually will 2) you cannot directly contact the seller, comments are largely being ignored by most of the sellers 3) no legit rating (expert seller is a very vague, not community based rating) and no possibility to leave a review of the buyer 4) as of October 19th, I can no longer login into the app or website getting Unknown or invalid email error, when I have been using this email for months, it just suddenly stopped working and I don’t know what is happening. The customer service is experiencing overload and will get back to me in 3!!! days!!! I don’t know if it has been hacked and my information has been compromised, what happened to all of my orders, etc etc. Using this app/service is a huge gamble!

Service is fine but tech is trash. This app and website have so many glitches it’s crazy (e.g. timing out negotiation periods at random, clicking through to different brands will take you to different country’s versions of the sites, etc). The company really needs to invest in some new developers to think through customer experience a bit more. Even something like the ability of a seller to package two items purchased together, so they don’t have to waste shipping cost/ packing materials... some very basic scenarios that have not been thought out by the team which make this a very frustrating experience.

Very horrible customer service. The agent decided to put holiday mode automatically and closed my store. Moreover, they asked for all the receipts from the store! We all know if we buy as secondhand items from internet, or even most of the seller didn’t have receipts anymore! Horrible service ever! They don’t care about how many transaction you made during years, only compared to the four suspicious items. The agent answered with templates only. Please future seller keep your receipts or they will close your account! Incompatible agents! Never come back!!

Great shopping experience but horrible app. I love shopping on this app it’s always getting great inventory from really good sellers. I love that I can negotiate on the price of the item. But I hate that almost every other week I’m getting a locked out my account and forced to reset my password because the app keeps saying incorrect even though it’s the correct password.

We’ll see with the transition. I may just start selling my own on my own. You all said that fees will be lower than Tradesy it does not appear to be maybe I’m wrong. The posting of items is crazy takes too much time to keep going back to add because you think you have added. Redundant. My description area froze so I had to delete the app to possibly try and post again. We’ll see. Weird site overall. Make it simple for heaven’s sake. I miss Tradesy already. Why when you are looking at an item this screen covers what I am looking at…another annoying thing on your site.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY THEIF & UNPROFESSIONAL. I have sold over 50 items with them I was an expert seller and out of nowhere they blocked my account I am no longer able to log in or speak to Customer service they have blocked all email messages etc, they have a pending sale from me and have stole my money and my handbag I only sale high quality brands balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Givenchy and they have done this to me twice . The first time it was resolved . Now it’s been one month and I haven’t heard back from them I have no other way to contact them as they have blocked me out . I would NOT trust this company with your luxury sales
