Temperature forecast. I’ve had this app for years and have opened it daily - I love the up to date satellite views of the world! But I can’t understand why they can’t get their temperature forecast more accurate- in places like Jerusalem I regularly see a 5 degree mistake, for instance right now it says the high for today is 80, the current temperature is 85!!! And it’s not just there, in Pennsylvania their forecast isis consistently off by 2-3 degrees.

No longer accurate. (I virtually NEVER write reviews anywhere, but . . .) Beautiful looking app. Has been my go to weather reference on the main screen of my iPhone for a number of years now. All other such apps have been relegated to a WEATHER folder way back on the third screen. BUT in recent months I have noticed that the forecasts have been significantly different from what was predicted on local Tv stations. So I started comparing it against the forecasts on THE WEATHER CHANNEL app. Those matched the local Tv station predictions, which again was a stark contrast to this app. I travel extensively for my work to major cities all over US and Europe. And I have been checking up on this everywhere I go. Pretty much the same disappointing result. I do not know where this app gets its data from, but I simply cannot not trust it anymore. Could be a cost cutting measure Whatever the reason it is a shame.

Used to love, now not working. I have an iPhone 7 Plus. I’ve used Living Earth for years as my main alarm clock. In the settings I select “keep display on” so the app also works as a night light. Until a few weeks ago when it wouldn’t stay on, the alarm wouldn’t go off etc. I deleted the app and went to the App Store to look for an alternate- and was pleased to see there was an update that mentioned iOS 13 bugs. Ah ha. So I reinstalled and the app worked one night. Again last night it went to sleep even tho keep display on was selected and the alarm didn’t go off. Four stars is for previous- really 5. Now 0.

One Suggestion. To start, I absolutely love this app! I love all the maps and the very real cloud updates and accurate weather. I live in Northern California and summertime fire season has gotten out of control lately. Might I suggest a couple additional maps such as a fire danger map, air quality/smoke map, and it would be cool to have a fault line/earthquake map as well. Thank you!

Display of time is too small. This appears to be a very good app, though very expensive for an app of this nature. It could be an excellent app, and I would upgrade my rating to 5 stars if the following were done: (1) Make the size of the time adjustable. It’s way too small to see from a distance, and (2) allow for me to use my personal images in the display, if I choose to do so. #2 may not be possible, but #1 is essential. Thanks.

Temperatures are not accurate for current location. I was very excited to use an app with live clouds and tropical storm alerts, however the temperature for my location is off by nearly 20 degrees. I can't use an app that forecast inaccurate temps. Oddly the temperature for places like chandler Arizona and Den Haag holland were correct. Hmph! Guess I paid 2.99 for other accurate information. I have been cross referencing the information with weather underground, which I have been using for years and LOVE, as well as the weather channel app. Purchasing this app is your choice but I would like my $$ back. I purchased this app because I wanted the sunrise and sunset times for each day. It was a bonus when I read it's other features. This review is not properly structured but a rather ramble from my thoughts in between my work break. Thanks for reading.

Love the widget!. It has got everything I need to know. It’s clear and easy to use. It just makes me feel a bit warm feeling to think that an app that I have purchased so long ago is still updating new features and still being useful. The app itself is beautifully made, I find peace in watching the earth slowly turns when I check the weather. And it almost never crashes. A great app. Probably the best the most easy to use weather app out there.

Most beautiful alarm. This app gives the most beautiful interface of any alarm I’ve ever had. Awakening to your own choice of music or different alarm sounds is great. Getting a quick fix on the weather before bed and upon awakening is a great bonus. I love also having an up to date picture of the world’s cloud cover and storms. Sometimes the advanced features of the alarm cease to work when there is an iOS update, but customer service actually responds when you give feedback through the app, and they have fixed bugs quickly. I only lower the rating to 4 stars because I wish there was a “sleep” feature - to allow me to fall asleep to 30-60 minutes of soothing music or nature sounds, then awaken to an alarm of choice. Maybe in a future update?

Long time fan. I’ve loved this app for years but for the last week or so it has simply stopped working. What gives? No info, just “forecast unavailable” for the dozens of cities I follow. UPDATE: happy to note that this is now back to the useful, informative, bright, fun app I have used for years. Love looking up weather in cities I have visited or hope to.

Beautiful!. I have friends and family spread out all over the world. It's so nice to see at a glance what time/day it is there, as well as what the weather is. It's so simple and intuitive. I use it several times a day, and I really love it! I haven't seen any other apps that come close to this in beauty or accuracy, either. Now I'm completely attached to it. Okay, I’ve had this for years, now and I’d never go to another weather forecast app. I love the ease of it, I love the beauty of it. Thank you for creating this app.

Living Earth. One of the best apps of its kind, if not the greatest. It’s not only incredibly beautiful, with the ever changing views of our precious home planet, it’s useful too. You can monitor sunlight angles, in all gradations on through nighttime and the patterns of artificial lighting as manifested in all the regions of the globe. Time and temperatures for most cities, weather events such as storms are also tracked, all in an elegant format that’s easy to use. Superb!

Greatest App Yet...!. I ADORE this app. I can get what for my area has been VERY accurate weather forecasts, including all over the state for family and friends, as well as favorite cities worldwide--but that's just the boring basics. What is stellar about Living Earth is being able to manipulate the earth, and see how continents intersect, and where countries are located. I've toyed with buying a globe for decades--and this is so much more. For students and kids I think this is a must have app. I also think it's a FABULOUS toy for many of us, even 50+ year old adults. For the $1 I paid, this is about the best app money I have ever spent.

Love it - new update made lines in earth and slightly distorted globe. Love it on the iPad Pro 12.9. This new update created a line on the globe going from north to south. You can also see the blocky blending especially in the southern and northern end of the globe. Maybe it’s just this big beautiful iPad screen that I noticed this, but it would be really nice if the club was more fluid in reel looking. I really wish your icon would go back to the original, or at least change the color tones. It looks like a strange blue. You guys have done it right. Great app

A Miracle of Our Age!. This app has changed how I look at the world and myself. It has expanded my consciousness to encompass in a more dynamic way, the life on this earth. And when I shrink the earth down to its smallest size and view clearly the stars and the milky way (all in their right place), the sense of the cosmos dawns in my consciousness. Very useful. I use this app several times a day. First thing in the morning to check the temperature and see what the day will be like. I like to see what the week ahead will bring so I will know if I might need to change plans. I also use it to check the weather in cities along my route when traveling. The app is always accurate and agrees with the local TV weather guys. I have noticed one little peculiarity lately - the low for the day is sometimes not listed as the low for any of the times for that day.

Like holding the whole world. …in the palm of your handmy location list a lot. But it’s a great overview of the worlds weather at a glance, combined with the local weather and forecasts out to almost a week ahead. I also use it to check the times at locations. I am an International Captain for a major US airline but sometimes I just enjoy expanding the earth and spinning it in my hand.

Feels like temp inaccurate. I have used this app since before you also reported the weather. Unfortunately, lately the temp is way off. The “feels like” temp in Tiverton, RI has been 49 degrees F all morning. Accuweather for my location says 64 F. Accurate temp has been a problem for weeks. Not sure whether this is a function of “feels like” vs. current temp, or whether the local Accuweather feed is bad. I also would like to be able to choose whether the app displays current or “feels like” temp. It’s a beautiful app, and when the weather is working, my go-to.

I always check the time and weather on my Fam. I dig this app, because it’s so easy to see where everybody else is at AND it’s accurate AF. Our offices are underground- come lunch time we have no idea if we need sunglasses or an umbrella. I love being able to say - “nah, no showers until 4:00” or “grab your coat.” Also, I like to keep tabs on weather in Santa Cruz, Vegas, The City and LA. When we go to Maui - it’s so cool to be able to decide which beach by best weather Big Beach or Kaanapali? Kihei or Paia? Also, I have sisters in Spain, France, and Mom and sis in North Carolina and friends all over including Philippines and Colombia. O like to check their weather and I like to double check the time before I call. One more thing. It shows sunrise and sunset- which REALLY helps on vacay. Ok 2 more things AND The globe actually shows where the sun is on the earth- so if your just eyeballing, you can see where it’s daylight or not. I barely right reviews very often- but this app sits on front page top — #3 after only Calendar and Contacts- that’s a freakin’ honored spot on my phone!!! Good Job Living Earth!!!

Almost a Good Nightstand Clock. The app is beautiful and works well, however it's not a very good clock app. The time can't get big enough that I can read it from across the room. Also, when the globe is bright the numerals are washed out and unreadable. They need to have a drop shadow or background for the numerals. It would also be great if they had calendar integration and allowed the world time to be viewed at the same time as the weather.

Great app. I have had this app for years now and I find myself going to it daily. It has just the right amount of reliable info and easy, uncluttered UI to make it my go to weather app for a quick look at current conditions anywhere in the world. It is AWESOME! Love this app!! One of my top 5 useful apps for sure! Worth the money. Get it! Two things I'd like to see though would be the ability to zoom in closer on the world as well as live radar! Add that and this would be perfectGreat app! Good job! ...Still pretty good but the temperature badge shuts off every update and you have to go turn it on again which is annoying. This one is enough. For 99% of the literate population, this Wx app is enough. It is informative, straightforward and tasteful in presentation and responsive to user commands — in other words, everything that apps associated with The Weather Channel are not. As a pilot, I have tried scores of phone and tablet Wx apps over the years. This is the one I kept for everyday use. Of course, when I’m flight planning, I need and use many other resources, some of which cost hundreds of dollars a year. But if you’re not a transportation professional, Living Earth will tell you all you really need to know about Wx conditions for your day and week.

Very Nearly PERFECT.... I love this app. It gives so much information about the world: it gives worldwide weather conditions & temperatures, and mean temperatures; developing storms can be pinpointed (you can also keep track of storms as they grow into hurricanes or typhoons, or sputter out); population centers are indicated by concentrated areas of light (but only on the dark half); the app can easily be set to show specific cities that you program in; cities are marked by a small, round “light,” (though they’re unnamed!?), and more. There are features that I would love to see added, though. I’d love to have the option to use the globe for geography AND weather, plus a view showing BOTH together. For that, they would have to add a view with nations, cities, & land and water features marked. It’s the same with other views; high/low, and median high & low temps, for example, would be even better if a view showing the exact places - the names of nations, cities, mountain ranges and rivers, etc. were added. Maybe these things are available on PAID versions of this app, but I haven’t looked yet; besides, I think they should appear on the free one. I’m going to go check out the paid version[s]! But even as it is, for free... I love this app!

Worthy of iOS. This app gives the sense of being fully realized. This is mainly due to the design aesthetic, which is simple, clean, and lovely. The developer really understands the iOS experience. While the app looks great, it's also heavy on useful information. It's my primary weather forecast app and my alarm clock. Does it all well. Developer is very responsive.

Most useful interesting weather app. I really use this app on a daily basis to monitor the temperature and weather conditions where I live and where my friends and family live. It’s graphical depictions of the weather across the Earth are fascinating and very useful. I am also a pilot, so I rate this in the context of very sophisticated weather applications, give it a try you will like it

My Go-To App for Weather. I use Living Earth daily to quickly check the weather and temperature wherever I am. The interface is beautiful and the notification badge tells me the temperature at a glance. My only complaint is that I don't trust that the temperature displayed on the badge icon is current since it relies on push-notifications. Most days I launch the app and allow it to update before I verify the temperature.

I have a question. So... I just got this app, but it’s kinda strange, and hard to understand. Also, I am in Colorado, USA right now, and it seems to think that I’m a little bit off the coast of Africa. I’m not quite sure if users can just input cities if they want to, or if it’s just unprofessionally made, but, I searched for Manhattan, New York, NY, USA, and there were two “Manhattan”s in New York, But one of them was written with a lowercase M, like this, “manhattan” I wasn’t quite sure what to say about that. I tried searching some cities at one point as well, and there were a few cities that did not show the city overall, but showed things like airports or hotel’s there. Please respond, I’m very confused. I know this wasn’t exactly a question and more like complaints, but let me know what is going on with the app. I want to get my money’s worth.

Only the BEST weather app available!. Imagine being able to tap into NASA weather satellites in real time. Imagine being able to track storms, hurricanes, and typhoons. Imagine getting weather information about anywhere on the globe. Well, you don’t have to imagine, you get all of that and MUCH MORE with this amazing AND beautiful weather app. This is an app you will not only use, but you’ll show it off to everyone. It’s more than worth the pittance of a onetime price!!!

Plenty of information for my needs.. Throughout much of my life I have enjoyed visits to many places around the World and from time to time wonder what the weather might be like today in some of the places I have visited. The app is designed perfectly for my worldly interest. Needless to say, like most people I do like to know what the daily forecast is for where I’ll be today and the app serves that purpose very well.

Think the world of this app ❤️❤️❤️. While others a listening to someone else’s interpretation of the weather I can at a glance see what’s going on. In addition, I have the perfect clock 🕰 for my night stand. I’ve got the settings so it stays on all night yet I can read it without my glasses anytime I wake, The only improvement I would like to suggest is a way to make it my Lock screen as well, so each time I unlock my phone I’d be reminded of “what a wonderful world” we live on.

update.... (was: did this app bite the dust?). UPDATE: Turns out they took away the hamburger clues in “Edit” mode, but if you happen to accidentally tap and hold in the exact precise correct spot, then you can still rearrange cities. I’m not psychic and hate guessing-games with apps, but at least I can still do what I need to. So up to four stars again now, but sadly, down from five. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Wow, this was such a great app. It was one of the very few apps I used every day, for years, on my old iPad. I had many, many cities. And I could rearrange them any way I wanted in “Edit”mode. Unfortunately, on my new iPad running iOS 14, I can’t rearrange my cities in a useful order. Now, I only have five or six cities because I can’t arrange them at all. They are in the order added, and that is not the order I want. I can’t use the app in a way that is meaningful unless they fix this. Here’s hoping I don’t have to update this review to say that I deleted it. Will hope for an update soon. P.S. for the developer - I made no attempt to sync the old machine with the new. I simply downloaded this app from the App Store to this new machine, and started fresh by adding a few cities. That’s how I found out that the cities are now glued to the list at the point when I added them, and cannot be rearrranged.

That’s no moon…. It’s the blue marble itself, beautifully rendered in high definition and with real time sunrise/sunset times (and visuals), current weather and temperatures, the ability to customize your list of locations, C° or F°, and other near stuff. Ok so it’s doesn’t get much more than skin deep. If you want an advanced weather app, go get one — this isn’t it. But dang it sure is purty (and impressive to the opposite sex). Please don’t abandon the app, guys! I already paid for it 😂

Make it right!. This used to me my go to app for accurate weather forecasts. At this moment it says the temperature is 37* which is correct. Then it says high of 30 low 17 both of which are incorrect. I’ve sent 3 messages asking them to fix it. It’s been completely inaccurate for months. Dissatisfied and disappointed!!

Issues with updates. This app- when it works- is nice. I used to love it; However- with recent updates it is difficult to get the app to update the weather information. The app has become very unreliable. It doesn’t matter if I use WiFi or cellular 5G. Many times I will have to compare this app to other sites to verify the accuracy. Please look into this update issue!

My Favorite App for the Last Ten Years. I look at one feature or another numerous times a day. It shows what’s happening to the Earth from so many different perspectives, from simple weather forecasts to storms, temperature views, fires, air quality, and much more. I feel like it is the most reliable real time record of climate change that we have. A huge thank you to the developer. By the way, I have never felt moved to write an app review before, but this earns my heartfelt endorsement.

Works as expected. Just like it looks in the pictures. The clouds shown on the Earth are the actual clouds in the sky! You can even brighten the clouds that are in darkness to be able to see them better. Only thing it’s missing is the moon among the stars in the sky (though it will show you the phase of the moon and so on) and no Antarctica weather information (except the clouds, which it shows).

A lot to like; one critical omission. There’s a lot to like about this app, and I’ve been using it for at least 6 years. After all this time my one complaint still remains: the weather data isn’t quite detailed enough to be helpful when there is a pending weather event. For example, our forecast shows 90% chance of snow but I have to use another app to see if that snow event will yield just flurries or if it’ll be a crippling blizzard. Same with rain; you can see the likelihood of rain when it’s in the forecast but can’t tell if it’ll be drizzle, or torrential rain and flooding, or something in between. Would love the ability to see these details in the weather, even if I have to tap through to a new screen to get it.

Weather Globe. I’ve had this app for about 10 years. It’s been extremely accurate and useful in my travels and making plans. Love the spinning earth that moves around. Better than other weather apps because of this globe feature. I’m more interested in weather conditions in general, and sometimes I will just look at other locations just for fun!

GREAT APP!!. This is the 3rd review I have done for this app. The last one being in October of 2017. I was miffed because several locations I had programmed, namely, McMurdo Station, Antartica, Vostok Station and a few others at the bottom of the earth were no longer available. I left those locations programmed in my phone, and lo and behold, one day, several months ago, I started getting the weather in those locations again... YEA!!!! This is my go-to app for weather! It the most accurate and user friendly weather app I have (and I have several on my phone). I have had this app for several years (since it was first introduced). I was fortunate to have gotten it for free when they first started out, however, if you’re looking for a great weather app, the $2.99 they charge now for it is still a good deal! You can’t go wrong with this app. You won’t be disappointed with it at all.

Beautiful graphics. Was exactly what I was looking for... my phone sits in its cradle from 9-5 on my desk in the office... it’s nice to have the screen displaying something while it’s there. One suggestion to developers: any chance you can add a setting to prompt the system “unlock” dialogue on exit... given I’m not always at my desk it would be nice to feel like there’s some level of protection from wandering eyes just having full access to the phone

Beautiful App. I thoroughly enjoy using this app to keep up with weather events. The realtime view of the globe is stunning and the color overlays are really cool, too. As a resident of Interior Alaska, I wish the developers would add some script to automatically adjust the hourly forecasts to keep up with sunrise and sunset. The result of not having this is that our hourly forecasts all summer long in this, the Land of the Midnight Sun, display nothing but he moon icon - all day long. I contact them, and they fix it (thanks for the update, folks), but given that the app displays sunrise and sunset, it should be possible to integrate that data into the daily app icon displayed. We do have short days in the middle of winter, but it’s never the case in my area that the moon is the only orb potentially visible between sunrise & sunset. Is it safe to assume that the same issue arises in all subarctic regions, north and south, for users following the weather in those locations? This can be resolved programmatically.

👍. I was looking for a weather app after my unsupported version of Weather channel stopped working. I checked every single weather app in the Apple store and was totally disgusted with artless cheap designs and bullying into buying subscriptions. And then l found Living Earth by chance through my old SkyView app. That was like a breath of fresh air. Fully functional, eye- pleasing, entertaining and accurate. Many thanks to the creator(s) of this wonderful thing!!

REALLY GREAT, BUT…. This is without a doubt one of the greatest apps written for the iPhone and it has been around for a long time, which is a testament to its continuing beauty and utility. Its updated satellite imagery and weather information is truly outstanding. Of all of the non-native iPhone applications, I would say this is the best and the most elegant. Having said that, it recently developed a glitch whereby the cloud pattern views and other views that are available ceased to function for about half a day for reasons still unknown, making it look like the kind of globe that your kid has in his bedroom. The problem eventually corrected itself it is now back to full functionality. But the fact that the glitch arose is still disturbing.

Marvelous. But one tiny suggestion.. Sea ice? When I’m looking at the lakes of northern Canada in winter, I can see the snow pack, which is great, but it shows lakes and the Hudson bay as being dark, as though they’re still liquid. I’m not sure if maybe there’s a very faint sea ice layer or if I’m just seeing thin clouds. Sea ice should be white as snow (basically making the frozen lakes invisible in surrounding snow pack) I think it would help people appreciate climate change a little more if they could see the retreating sea/lake ice for themselves.

Keep up the Awesome Job. I've been a big fan of LivingEarth App for many years now. Love being able to get oriented geographically. Love the available of data displayed in a logical and useful way. Whenever I get I chance I would tell all my friends about this beautiful and functionally superb app. I've also purchase several other similar apps, LivingEarth is hands down the best in its class.

So Beautiful and So Functional!. I have been using this app for years. The alarm is perfect for my needs but the real-time imagery is what keeps this on my iPod touch, year after year. My device is getting old but still runs this app perfectly. I’m grateful to have this app and would like to thank the developer for creating and supporting it all this time. God Bless you!

Fix app!. I have used this app for years and it has been pretty spot on, but the past week or so it has been completely off. As of now it is showing 40 degrees even for tonight and the next few days, we’ll as far fwd as the app allows it. Please fix the problem I strongly rely on this app every day for the work I do and I how I will plan out my work week.

Really cool app that keeps your iPad On. I like to keep my iPad plugged in and ready to use without having to turn it on each time I look at it. It’s a beautiful view of the Earth, plus I love that this app keeps iPad turned on, so I can see the current weather and temperature, the time by simply glancing at my iPad. I also have my iPad in split-screen view with a music app on the right side of Living Earth so I can see what’s playing. I dropped a star because the view of the Earth doesn’t let you change the perspective distance. You can only see a small part of the Earth from what seems to be a medium altitude and a fish-eye lens. I would like to be able to change the view to be more distant (but zoomed in) so that you can see an entire hemisphere (or close to it) at a time.

Simple, Useful and Beautiful Design. Love the thought that has gone in to designing this app. Weather doesn’t need constant updates which means of you are off the grid it shows the most recent updated information. By far the best app for keeping track of different time zones and adds local weather information to boot. Bargain at the price. Request for the developer - would it possible to add an update so the widget could be pinned to the home screen? Thank you.

The app doesn’t work yet. I have an iPhone 7+ running system 13.5.1. I just purchased and downloaded Living Earth version 4.10.2 and the most basic function doesn’t work. I can’t select any city with a single tap. The preloaded cities are the only ones in the list. I restarted my phone, and deleted and re-installed the app. No selection of cities. The other functions are displayed in a row across the bottom of the screen. Can the developer help me out? My Google searches only come up with issues that occur AFTER selecting new cities. Thanks for any help.

Excellent app. I purchase this app several years ago and I absolutely love it. I love looking at the rotating Earth like if I was on a space shuttle but on a more practical viewpoint, I love being able to very easily check the weather forecast in several locations. It’s very convenient when you have relatives living overseas, or whether you’re planning a trip somewhere.

Living earth. I select temp badge to off, when I re open iphone the temp badge is on again. Actual temp? Why feels like? Otherwise - the Best. Something has gone wrong, there has been no cloud movement for 3 days.. Thanks, all go now. 5 Stars👍

Great UI, Informative and Visually brilliant!. I have been using this app for a week, I sit my iPad on my desk at home and have it open as a display that not only looks brilliant but keeps me informed on the weather in my area and abroad.

Not accurate. A very pretty app, but regrettably not accurate. We were having 40 deg C days and the app was saying 30 deg C. This happens constantly so although I enjoy seeing where the clouds etc are the actual temperature is seldom correct.

Love this app. Love the view of the earth- the only home we have. Always use it to check the time in overseas cities before contacting.!!

Not sure what it's for but it's great!. Is it a nightstand? Is it a 3D earth atlas? Is it a weather app? Who cares, it's wonderful. It displays a 3D Earth in the middle of the screen and offers overlays for cloud, wind, temperature and more. It has an alarm feature, time displayed in the corner and weather displayed in another corner. Works as a nightstand as well as a weather app.

Great app. Great to see the clouds progress. I would like to see a jet stream map though too. Also would be great to have Apple Watch version.

Great world weather overview. Provides a good way to see local weather and global conditions, track hurricane/cyclone activity and see weather,cloud,light conditions at other places.

I bought this app 13 years ago and still use it everyday!. This is a beautiful app that showcases the power of apple devices, and is by far the best weather app on iOS. It is a great app I am really glad I bought!

Excellent Software. This is our No. 1 favourite app. We love being able to interact locally to our changing weather patterns and have confidence in the forecast. The various global depictions of cloud; temperature zones; etc. are expertly done. So much is depicted in a seemingly simple way. Such accurate information. For us, this is the premier weather app.

The best weather app by far, have tried many, i am always comparing, but still this is the only app i need, rain radar would be great as well but still very please just the way it is...its justroght, not simple but not over the top...it also has regular updates. Highly Reccomend this app for your weather needs.

Love this App. But, since the last update on my IPad Pro storm/cyclone warnings are not showing. I’ve gone into settings multiple times even deleted the App and reloaded it but still not working. Would love to hear from App support. Thank you.

World View Default Latitude. A beautiful, information rich, impressive application - especially the near realtime imagery of clouds and optional alternative planetary perspectives like the heat map. The only quibble I have is that, living in the very south of Australia, the default tilt on the slowing spinning planet means that my location is almost out of sight unless I double tap the image. Could not your latitude influence the initial tilt - perhaps as an option switch?

World Weather. Very useful APP for planning your overseas holidays.

Impressive display!. I had this app on my iPad years ago and loved it and finally tracked it down again for my iPhone. The globe display is beautiful and I love being able to see the time and weather overseas. It can prove very useful for holiday planning, as the forecast goes out to 10 days. I also like the alarm tone. The reason I haven't given 5 stars is the app is a bit pricey, occasionally the weather has been a bit off compared to other reliable sources and for some reason the alarm didn't set properly when I tried it. With this said though it's overall a great app - everyone I have shown is impressed by it (particularly the near real-time clouds feature) and I'd definitely recommend 😊

Impressive colours, but..... Very impressive displays on first glance, but information is basic and has insufficient depth. Apart from the clouds window, half the time all you see are colours on a globe from the other forecast windows, you don’t know where you are and where on the globe you are looking at. Regret wasted money buying it.

Last update fixed the problem. An excellent and useful app that was let down by the slow manner it populated date and weather information across selected cities. The recent update fixed the problem and refreshed the app, and now its functionality is restored.

Love it. I got this app for my MacBook when it first came out an am still using it today on my MacBook phone and my Apple Watch they have always kept updates going to make it better and better it’s worth every penny I would recommend it to anyone!

Feels like. Good app but at times struggles to get feel like right at times. Recently showed temp as 16 feels like 788. Really.

Great app should include desktop. Great app , super quality and brilliant information just wish they added the desktop into the price. It’s too expensive in my opinion

My Favorite App. This is my favorite app. Great for planning day and night activities, for watching storms and weather pattern evolve, and the snapshot facility has numerous possibilities for teachers. Also, having time and location of cities of interest around the world has been great fun. Some views take a bit long to load and can be difficult to interpret but I rarely have the need of them - the spinning globe is most valuable on its own. I love this app!

My default weather app. Love the global view. I dont use some features, but i think i have had this app for 5 or 6 years. I do love seeing weather patters building over the oceans.

Great app. Request minor change.. I’m using the app on an old iPhone plus and when rotated horizontally, the time and weather font is very small. Could you allow a change in setting, to update the font from its current state to medium or large? Can’t Get Enough, why isn’t there more :). Best looking app for the weather. Been using it for years, just a little sad it hasn’t been updated. It would be great to see a bit more functionality or even a Lock Screen widget though. Playing around with the globe is a good way to kill time too!

Weather forecast somewhat immaculate. App is functionally fine but the weather forecast data source beyond 48 hours is frequently inaccurate.

Living Earth. I use to load multiple satellite weather shots to see what is coming. With this app it is all there the earth at your finger tips.

Living Earth. This app is my morning go-to. It gives me useful information in a beautiful package, time, alarm clock, time zone, weather, for where I am and places around the world — all together with the view of earth from space. I love seeing the transition from night to morning, and the forecast as cloud patterns on the globe. I use it to keep track of conditions in other cities where I have friends, business contacts, or intend to travel.

Nice but inaccurate.. Looks amazing. Constantly gets the weather wrong!

Best weather app there is.. Been using this app for about a year or two and never had any issues with it. Love it.

Rotation speed. 1 - The default speed rotation of earth should be in real time ( the speed of earth rotating around itself and the sun, with option to make it faster. 2 - If it is possible, show the sun location in respect to earth Thank you for your app and good work.

Ok but not great!. The app visuals are really good but few issues for me: - the dot that shows the city you are looking at its like a small light that you can easily miss! I have hard time findind it in the map - the map wont allow for you to touch a country or region to view that location. I think this a a big miss! I thought you can navigate and zoom in but none of these functions are available! Overall needs improvement to be worth 5-6 dollars! The base is good but needs work!

Night mode. I wish there was a toggle to remove the night/dark mode much easier to see the clouds and terrain when it’s daylight.

More accurate than the government of Canada page.. This is the coolest weather app I’ve ever seen. So many great options.

Indispensable. I use this app every day and trust it as my source of weather information. And once in a while I check out conditions in some far away place on this globe. Indispensable.

Resolution is too low. Not what I expected. Whenever I zoom in everything becomes blurred. There is no option for higher resolution. Not recommended if you want to track clouds.

Used to be accurate. Isn’t anymore.. I used to rely on this app because it was so accurate. No longer - it changes like the wind from one day to the next. I use other apps now sadly

Was a good app. Over the past few months I have noticed that the app gives ridiculous temperatures. For example, the forecast for next week is showing that daytime high will be 36 Celsius and the overnight temperature will be -32 degrees Celsius. This is happening on a continuous basis. When I compare this apps temperatures to other weather apps, this app is always off. I liked this app because it allowed you to delve into the forecast over a 12 hour period. Now it’s so inaccurate I don’t trust it anymore.

How about a precipitation radar?. Many radars that are redundant. How about a precipitation radar? This is different than clouds; a precipitation radar is the reason I wanted it.

Where is the Apple TV app?. This is where I really want see an app like this. Is an Apple TV app coming?

Beautiful & Fast. This app is not only the most beautiful and elegant weather app on the store, with its stunning 3D planet but the essential elements are just one-clic away. Temperature can be displayed on the icon w/o having to open the app, one-click displays weather of the day, one more click, weather of the week. What more to ask! Oh! And there is a Mac version of it! Gorgeous on the Mac. The earth planet coming out from the dark to fill this large screen. WOW!!!

Not so good anymore. App has become quite flaky of late. I don’t think the developer is updating it anymore. My current home city will show the forecast with the days out of whack; for instance if it’s Friday it will show ‘today, then skip to Tuesday Wednesday etc instead of showing Friday sat sun etc. it’s all messed up. Don’t buy.

Living Earth. I’ve noticed the past few years this app consistently understates temperature (in Hamilton ON, the true temperature is often warmer that what this app posts) It is kind of useful given the errors it makes in my city.

Consistently wrong temp.. Been using this app for years now and its always off at least 5 degrees for temperature in northern Canada I don't know where you get your numbers from but you need a better source

Love this app!. Been using this app for years on all my devices. Every once in a while the app has a glitch updating the weather info but it resolves quickly. Otherwise the app is great!

An eye in the sky!. Look down and SEE your weather from outer space! See where clouds are and what they look like. Wonderful App. Only suggestion I can think of would be an optional few seconds repeatable replay of cloud movement to give a better visual of their movement.

Long time fan. I’ve had this app for a very long time. It is stunning and useful. For future development I would love to be able to go back to view a city 12 hours ago. I always look at my home town at nighttime after work it seems, and can’t see the cloud patterns. So a time lapse (past feature) would be helpful / fun. Thanks.

Go-to weather app. Love this app so much. Been using it for years. It pulls the forecast from WUnderground and has a beautiful globe visual. I love how the data is organized and that you can look at hour-by-hour beyond the next 24 hours (like the default Apple Weather app does). Would LOVE a widget to work with the new iOS 14! Please?!

No long updates automatically. Weather forecast for my selected cities no longer updates unless I manually request it to. This has to be done for each city. Makes a previously useful app very annoying.

Great app. Two things I want. 1. I want this to be the lock screen, not just an open app. Maybe I am missing how to do this? 2. The default spin of the earth is way too fast. I would like it more if it were a slower (much slower speed) to give me a relaxing view of our collective home on my desk.

ALWAYS ACCURATE!. I’ve been using this app for a long time and it’s always been very accurate no matter where I go - anywhere in the US as well as abroad. I especially like the detailed breakdown hour by hour in the near term date/time range.

Wind Speed not working. Sept 25, 3:54pm and Plano Texas is in a middle of a thunderstorm warning. Trees are very obvious thrashing about, lightning, thunder, heavy rain….and the wind speed on Living Earth for Plano is 5mph. Thing is, on any given day or time, Living Earth will note the actual & predicted wind speed is 5-8mph. There could be a tornado outside my door & it would show 5-8mph.

Living Earth fan. Still my all time favorite app! It's fantastic, fun & informative. I enjoy making the earth twirl when locating various cities that I monitor across the globe. I check weather details throughout the day every day without fail. Can't live without Living Earth app.

My favorite weather app. I don’t usually pay for apps, but this was an exception and I have no regrets! Amazing technology and super helpful in figuring out what the weather is doing... I like taking screen shots as a storm is approaching so that I can better track its movements. Super cool. Buy it now, or else!

Beautiful and Detailed. Stunning to look at, and it breaks down the weather for the day by every two hours, which is extremely helpful. It can run off of preset locations and your real time location. It gives you the sunrise and sunset times, humidity, cloud coverage, precipitation, wind speed, and of course the temperature. It’s a great app!

My preferred weather app. I’ve used this weather app for several years and prefer it to the other 4 I’ve used intermittently. It has the most attractive and easy to use design, in addition to not having ads. Biggest issue is the weather accuracy. Often doesn’t seem to be updated with current weather, even when you refresh (“Update”), otherwise I’d give it 5 stars.

Please add Notification Center option. Love that this is an app, a desktop background, a menu bar icon showing temp and weather, and a screen saver! The only thing missing is an option to have it show up in my Notification Center. Please Add! This App is the GOLD STANDARD!

Temperatures appear wrong for various cities.. Been a very long time user of this app on both iOS and desktop. Always been 5 stars reliable. Recently I noticed current temperatures seem to be wrong for some cities. For example at the time of writing this review it is listing Seattle as 113 degrees and Phoenix 79 degrees. This is clearly incorrect. Reverse is likely correct. Not sure how to explain this. I have not tried to uninstall and reinstall, but will try that soon. Hopefully it hasn't been hacked. Noticed no updates for this app in a long time. Not sure if it requires an update after so much time. Thanks

Beautiful perspective. I love this app and use it as my daily clock. Updates frequently add new, interesting features and the display is just beautiful. I especially love watching the lights and changes in the cloud patterns. It would be great if there was a way to easily start a very slow earth rotation; keep the updates coming!

Personal satellite. Gorgeous view of atmospheric gyrations swirling over the entire planet. With touch of a finger the blue marble spins to show night and day on opposite sides of globe. The app is easy to set and save cities. Also accurate by the hour and by the week. The forecast breaks down by the hour and updates frequently to reflect changing temps, windchill or precipitation.

I use this app all the time!. This is my favorite app and I look at it several times a day... to check temperatures, cloud cover, how green North America gets in the spring... How DARK North Korea is at night. But mostly I use it for teaching my daycare children, how the tilt of the earth causes the seasons, geography, etc. it's also very calming to just watch the earth calmly spinning, indifferent to our human calamity.

Beautiful but not accurate. By far the best visual weather app and I like the presentation of data. Unfortunately, the current and hourly forecast data is often inaccurate in comparison with other weather apps and actual conditions.

Living Earth is a fascinating way to look at the weather. I love how the rotating earth lets you view the day and night rotation of the earth and the weather systems around the globe. I love that I can add cities to monitor weather for places I will be traveling. Most recently I have found your weather details inaccurate. In the last two days we have had very strong winds but living earth reports them at 7 miles per hour. Most other apps are reporting 27-35 miles per hour. The other apps are far more accurate.

Love this app.... I love this app and use it every day to plan for the weather. Can plug in my home city and cities where I travel to get accurate weather forecast with hour-by-hour several days in advance. Use it all the time to plan for golf. The satellite view of current world weather is cool and it's just fun to spin the earth and imagine people getting dizzy :D

Fixed. Thanks!. Very disappointed that in the app update notes it says there is support for the new iPad Pro. Untrue! This app still does not fill the entire screen. The new iPad pros have edge to edge screens. The 11 inch model and the 12.9 inch model. Please fix this app to properly support the screen on these new great devices. For now it is letterboxed and the time date and battery percentage on the device itself is stuck at the top because the app is not using the full screen properly. Please fix! UPDATE: Thanks for the quick response and quick fix. It looks great on the new iPad Pro screen!

Lovely and Useful App. I always enjoy looking at the clouds and where the sun is at. Useful info such as sunrise/sunset, temps, wind speeds, humidity, etc is readily available. I enjoy this app very much. This app and my hi def radar app are my go to's for weather. Only improvement I'd suggest is it would be nice to know estimates of upcoming precipitation particularly snow amounts. Thanks.

Best app. This is my favorite app of them all. We check it every day.. Living Earth is our favorite app on my IPad. We check it every morning for accurate weather. I feel like an astronaut looking at our planet. My husband works with sailors transiting the Pacific Ocean off Mexico and it's very helpful for them. Excellent job.

Really Like This App. Have used it for 4 years and really enjoy it. Never had any problem with the temperature being inaccurate. Love being able to have cities where friends and relatives are in my list to see what their weather and forecasts are. So much useful information in a compact format.

Long awaited feature still missing.. Living Earth needs a time lever on right so that one can go back and forward in time to get a visual on which direction the clouds are moving... IOW, the lever looks like ruler lines so it doesn’t disturb the interface, it can be pulled up or down. Pushed up goes forward in time to give a prediction, pulling down goes back in time and reveals the direction from which the clouds came.

Nice app. I like the app. I don’t know how accurate it is but like the interface. I like the feels like temp, but wish it also said the real temp next to that. The custom alarm sound only works if you have the app on (not in the background) but the my phone gets hot and I usually forget to do that anyway. I usually check this app and another to get a more accurate feel of temp. Overall l like the app though.

Errors. Info for my location(Hull, GA) implies today is Wed. But it’s Sunday! And the other days show lows in the mid teens. Not the first time this has happened. I enjoy so much every time I open this app and see the earth turn, half dark and half light, clouds moving over the surface. I just need the weather to be accurate.

Love this app. This was ome of yhe first apps I ever purchased many many years ago. I use it to plan my days and weekends away. I have the weather for all my family locations and any cities I travel through when going north. It has seldom let me down and the graphics ate outstanding. Mjkrentz

Amazing Graphics and Interface. Always a treat to look at and fiddle around with the different data views. My one and only unfulfilled wish is for a widget where I can display the current view over my chosen location. PLEASE look at doing this!

Needs to be a moving wallpaper. My Apple Watch has a similar face that features the earth, live time, and my location. I love Watching it throughout the day. This app needs to be a moving wallpaper, similar to my watch, I would pay more for it to do that.

Forecast doesn’t match hourly. I’ve used this app for years but lately noticed that when I look at the snapshot for today it doesn’t match with the underlying hourly forecast. For example today at my location the icon shows the rain icon and 40%. When I tap to look at hourly. It shows partly cloudy or sunny all day with not even one hour of a chance of rain. Other apps reflect partly cloudy all day.

What’s not to like?. It’s a clock so a slight plus. It has weather (stock going up) a beautiful space view from earth. See where the sun is shining, atmospheric condition depicted around the world…need I go on as stock skyrockets ? Again, what’s not to like.

Why can’t use this as a lock-screen and/or home-screen background yet?. The demand is here. And by here, I mean allll of here. LIVE feedback from our satellites and collective weather sensors tenderly displayed as a render of our beautiful home, Mother Earth? All in the palm of our hands? It’s a home run! Radiantlabs, LLC... Alarm works only some of the time. Had to buy an alarm clock for back up. Have had this app for a few years and got to depend on the alarm feature. It failed recently and caused me to be late for work. Even after rebooting several times, alarm feature on this app is still very unreliable.

Very Cool - BUT . . .. Great app with unique way of displaying its information. Dec. 13, 2017 - After the last couple updates, the app crashes when adding cities. Also, if you add Amundsen-Scott USA/Antarctica (which no longer shows any data, nor does Vostok station Antarctica-they used to), double tap to center on it, sometimes the rotating globe will disappear.

Awesome!. Update: I live in a small town and the app doesn’t have information at least twice a week. Annoying. But I love it anyway. It’s beautiful and when it works, it’s accurate enough. We've been traveling a lot lately, and this is the best app for checking upcoming weather anywhere in the world :-) nice alarm clock too. Love it!!!

Living Earth. Living Earth is beautiful AND useful. I go to it every day to see the forecast where I live, and to see the current weather and the forecasts where my friends and relatives live scattered across the USA and in eastern Australia. Stunning to see the display when one sets Living Earth into the "Current Temp" view, even more so when you set it to "Temp (Max) Forecast"!

Consistently works well - and beautiful. This has been my go to daily weather app for many years. I use Weather Underground for more specific, localized information. But living earth is #1 on my iPhone! I have never had a problem with it at all through numerous phone updates. The graphics are beautiful.

A Unique Perspective!. There is something magical about the way the earth glides up through space and fills the screen, gently revolving with sun and clouds, oceans and land mass, and those countries in night time, lights gleaming! A front row seat in the heavens looking down at our fabulous globe. The weather functions are clear and logical. A pleasure to use, all told.

Great Worldview App. I’ve had this app a long time going back a few smartphones. The views of storms let me second guess my local weather. They say heavy rain and I look here and it looks like fizzle the umbrella stays in closet. Other great features like alarm clock gets me up and ready to face any weather.

Weather from a global perspective. We need more apps like this that show the beauty of the earth we call home, and at the same time give us a glimpse into how all of the earth’s systems fit together! It’s not just about the weather, it’s the physics and chemistry and systems design of God’s wonderful creation. A great way to start the day. Enjoy! 😃

Very Nice User Interface. I use this app every day. The user interface is intuitive and simple. It gives great information - and it's pretty accurate as far as weather apps go! And as an added bonus, the background is beautiful!

Decline In Forecast Reliability. This was one of my favorite Apps and I've used it for years for travel within the US and internationally to see my final destination weather forecast. Unfortunately, there appears to be a new weather vendor for the App who does not provide good forecasts anymore - at least in San Antonio. When App repeatedly gives low rain probabilities (say 30%) and other sources give 90% probability of severe thunderstorms and hail - and then you get heavy rain and hail, you stop trusting the App for local forecasts. Other city forecasts are now questionable too.

I thought there would be more. I thought there would be more to the app. For example, satellite image of the area you live in. Snowfall predictions or rainfall predictions. Perhaps a closeup of an area and be able to have a view of what the weather is doing and maybe one or two facts about that town, city, state or country. I do like the way the earth spins and the backdrop but that’s about it.

My go to app❣️. Love this app. We have family all over the place n I can check this app n know there weather n time of day in a fun way. I watched the hurricane Irma as it moved in actual time to see how family was doing. Love the earth movement n seeing the lights at night. ♥️🌎♥️

Great app but….. This is a beautiful app. However, the double tap to dim the screen does not work on iPhone 12 Pro Max with latest IOS. I am willing to give 5 stars if this is corrected as I use it daily at work and nightly when sleeping. However bright screen impacts both environments.

Just right. Very nice display without visual overload. Provides all the info I want and seems to update regularly. I have been using it from day one with no complaints. I just do not give 5 * reviews very often. Occasionally I use others to get a weather map. Still this is the one for every day use.

A really beautiful app. Just the thing to leave running on an old iPad as beautiful and informative scenery. But it's deeper than that with a variety of weather map modes. I start it in the morning on my iPhone and just let it spin as I get ready for the day—keeping an eye on the clock.
