The Most Useful app for me.. I am the CEO of my Company, and being an avid Apple fan I always wanted to get an iPhone for my personal as well as Business use. Customer Service Extraordinaire!. I tried the app and it solved my problems!! But that isn't the most impressive part. I had a few questions. I explained them in my limited technical ability in more than one e-mail. Not only did I receive quick, helpful responses, I was given extended/expanded USEFUL information from a REAL, considerate person!! Good customer service is hard to find these days, even more rare is excellent customer service!! I am most appreciative!

Update needed. The app itself works great for opening files. The only thing that could benefit the app is to add the ability to zoom in on the pictures. I use this app to open drawings for work and I need to be able to zoom in to look at all the details.

It does what is supposed to do. It did not work when tested immediately after purchased. App developer responded promptly. He sent a .dat file to test his app. After opening the test file, I tried again with my own file and this time it worked. Not sure what made the difference but it is allowing me to open attachments very easily.

Great tool. I have been looking for this type of tool for some time. A little clunking as you have to jump back and forth between program and your email clients.

Is this developer for real?. Not only is the product great, but Hiren has a policy of responding to any inquiries within a couple of hours or less. Does he sleep? I don't know, but Hiren resolved all my concerns almost immediately. In my case I found it useful to reboot my iOS 5.1.1 iPhone 4 for the app to become fully functional. He also assure me that "pinch and zoom" will be available in the next version. Two taps and I'm viewing important files.

Until bug is fixed, can't rate higher. He says the bug (seeing a blank screen) is because of the iPhone software. This may be true, but until it is fixed the software is somewhat useless. I follow the instructions and it opens the file but there is nothing there. I'll revise my rating once the software starts working for me.

Winmail, great program!. This program works. Now I can open all those attachments on my Iphone that before I had to wait to get on a computer. The quick response from the developer was very helpful and answered all my questions

Super Impressed- Customer Service Especially. When I tried the app, it worked perfectly, but I couldn't tell whether or not I had received all the information that was in the winmail file. I emailed the listed developer, and he responded within a few hours with exact instructions and troubleshooting techniques. It was downright refreshing to receive real customer service-he even offered a refund if I was unable to retrieve my file. Rest easy downloading this app, because you can't lose when dealing with people like Hiren Bhatt. He well earned my dollar and a rare beyond-satisfied review.

Confusing. Works well as long as you read the full discription of the app where it gives instructions/directions for using the app. If you don't read the discription, there is no way to run the app intuitively.

Max used app on my iPad. This app is used the max on my iPad, and it works flawlessly each time and every time. It makes me wonder why some cry babies are complaining about this app!! Probably they have no clue how to operate such a simple app! :P

A total waste of time and money. I purchased 100 decoding files for $9.99. After using only FOUR, the app stopped working. Efforts to get a resolution from the developer has resulted in him giving me the runaround to refund my money for a app that does not work. Do not waste your time and money on this worthless app and non-existent customer service.

So far, so good. I just bought this today. It installed without issue and I was finally able to open 2 winmail attachments which I couldn't do before. Worked on both my iPad and iPhone 5. Zoom worked great too. Such an easy fix to such a huge pain. I wish I'd known about this before.

Works Great!. Not sure why there are any negative reviews. You would think by now, people would realize all they need to do is reboot their iPhones when an app doesn't respond properly.

Was good. When I first downloaded this app, I loved it. Then, it stopped working correctly, so I updated it. It still didn’t work. I decided to give it another shot today, and it told me that I had to pay for any more use. I found a different way to open my file and will most likely delete this app.

Brilliant!. This app is absolutely Brilliant! Till now I used to think that iPhone is for Games only because of the lack of Business apps on it. But look at this category now! There are so many beautiful apps which are perfect for the Business User, and this app is the cherry on top!

Did not work. App did not work for me, but e-mailed contact person (requesting refund/cancellation) and heard back with troubleshooting intent -- pending resolution. UPDATE: Initial kinks quickly resolved with help of app developer -- superior customer service; developer is clearly commitment to customer satisfaction and the success of his/her products.

Unbelievable!. First, this app works! Even if you only need it once, once enough to justify purchasing it. But what is unbelievable is the support! I had an issue (that was not the fault of the app) and Hiren was quick to respond and lend assistance. He even asked me to try additional options and report back to him, just so he would know if my problem was solved. Just what I was looking for!. This app is just what I needed! I work in consulting industry and get emails from many clients, where Microsoft, in its wisdom, has decided to make attachments unreadable to any s/w other than outlook, i.e. A winmail file. I love my iPhone, but my boss used to really pressure me to switch to blackberry or windows phone, just so I can access those files in the phone as they come in. Well, guess what, now I don't need to! This app solved that problem for me! Yes, it is not perfect. You need to read the instructions carefully. It takes a couple of tries to figure out how it works. But once you understand it, it works smoothly! All you need to do is keep your finger on the attachment at the bottom of your email until the little menu pops up, and then just tap the first button. Yes, it is slightly complicated, but once you figure it out, it is very easy, like everything else in the iPhone. It opened 9 out of 10 winmails in my emails perfectly! I hope the developers keep improving this app. I'm just thrilled that I don't have to give up using my iPhone in a business environment now! Love it!

Excellent Support. Wow! My winmail app suddenly failed to open attachments overnight & I emailed the developer for help late in the day. I was hopeful for a response sometime in in the future but was so stunned have an email in the morning from Hiren. Perfect!!. Quick, easy and does exactly what I wanted it to. Receive a PDF from someone sending with outlook and it arrives as winmail.dat file. Click on it and 'Presto' it opens as a PDF. Why Apple haven't made this standard I don't know. Using iPad 3 with iOS 5.1

App not working. Why is the app not working since the update?

Great app & great support. Had an initial problem opening a winmail but turned out to be a corrupted file but must report the great service from the developer. Got back to me personally within hours & tried very hard to get to the bottom of the problem with my file (thanks Hiren). Other "normal" winmail files opened no problem. You can easily convert them to PDF too if you have an adobe reader app (free). Highly recommend app - great price too!

Stopped working. This worked well for some time, but now it will not open files. I am told that the app needs updating to work with current IOS. So it is useless now

Can only use free version twice. App only provides you with "credit" to use the free version twice. After that you have to purchase more credits, pay a monthly fee (approx $12 p/mth) or pay a yearly fee (approx $119 p/yr). Super expensive for what it does. Deleted the app as soon as I saw the pricing.

Works for me. Just downloaded and didn't have to reset my phone or anything as described in other reviews. I just clicked on the winmail.dat attachment and was able to select the app and it opened fine.

Works fine. Icon is horrible.. The previous black icon with a simple white envelope icon was classy. The new "stylish" icon is simply horrid. How is bright green and blue on a plain background "stylish?" Please change the icon back!

Unable to open files using iphone 4. Not satisfied

Unable To View Pictures. Almost 90% of the winmail.dat files I receive in emails contain pictures. Finding an app which would enable me to open this type of file and view the pictures contained within, thrilled me! Sadly, however, this app does NOT allow the user to be able to do this. The picture(s) comes through as an "untitled attachment" file, and according to the creator of this app's description, we are told that these types of files would not be able to be viewed. It is my own fault for buying this app without fully understanding it's capabilities - but I did not know that a picture in a winmail.dat file would be called an "untitled attachment". Further searching in the App Store, I found a more expensive app called "winmail.dat - Letter Opener". I bought that one and it worked great - allowing me to be able to view pictures, amongst other types of file types as well. My intention of this review is to NOT belittle the creator of this app (Winmail File Viewer), as it does work with other types of files. It's just to point out to those looking for the ability to view pictures embedded in the dreaded winmail.dat file, that this app is NOT for you. Thank you.

Does not open. I have download this because of issues with people sending me emails from outlook or lotus smartsuite to me. All I get is winmail.dat and I was told to get this it work. Sadly it does NOT. I follow the simple step by step and come up showing me nothing. All I get think is that my iphone 4 got upgrade to 4.0.2 os2 and maybe they need to update their little application to work.

App seems to work fine. It was a pain to not open these files and I am a bit surprised to be getting them. This seems like a 'get around' rather than a fix - but what the hell. Seems to work fine - but right after I installed it I could not open the files. Kinda thought I had wasted my time and money. Then after a bit I tried again and it worked. So give it a bit of time, guess the phone needs to think...... Then it will work. I now have os 5 on the iPhone and it works. Hope this helps.

Avoid - pay per use. Avoid if you plan on using app with any frequency. Payment model is pay per use and requires additional “decode packs” per 10 or 20 opens.

App didn't work at all. Closed all apps before installing on iPhone 4s on 5.1.1, and then opened app to initialize (just in case); but it still didn't open the winmail.dat attachment. Completely sick of getting ripped off...

It works!. This app works great - but you need to initialize it after downloading. Once I downloaded it, I closed all open apps. I opened this app by itself. Then I closed it. This seems to initialize it in the iPhone. It worked after that. I went into my email and opened a Word doc out of the attached winmail.dat file. This app works as advertised. I have iOS 5.xx and iPhone 4.

Locator. I have tried to touch even with a stylus, all to no avail. The attachment come with the large "w" rtf, and nothing. Sorry but I cannot give this anything other then a thumbs down. App does not work.. I tried several .dat files known to have valid attachments, and I get just a blank screen. No support available. Wish there was a 60 minute trial period or some way to get your money back.

Refuses to open. This deserves one star. The app opened and then it wanted to use another application to open the VCF file. That app wanted $3.99 to open the file. Not worth the money. I want my $$$ back!

Not Working. Hoped I would be on the working side of this review list, not so. It goes through two steps and then a black line passes from the bottom to the top and nothing happens. Went to the help site, tried the suggestion and nothing. E-Mailed as instructed, no response , just sent another E-Mail.
