Love it. Fast results. Accuracy. Perfection.. Exactly what I was looking for. I had just gone for a run, imagining my gps enabled app had logged my route and distance, but alas... something went wrong, and nothing was logged. I could go on the laptop and look up google maps and place pins, but this app is so much more convenient, and the touchscreen is far easier to use for zooming, scrolling, and pin placement than a laptop's touchpad. (better yet, this app seems much more accurate than my gps mainstay, runkeeper.) as another reviewer observed, it's better than a phone's gps for preserving battery life, too. Intuitive interface. (a couple of quick timesavers when you begin - I recommend going directly to settings when you start using this to select your unit of choice. miles is not default; I believe it was meters. and- if you're using it for the same purpose as I - selecting total distance, as that isn't default either!)

Perfection. I never comment on Apps but I was in real need and this one was perfect. So far it does exactly what I need. Set a point, drop pins on a route and total the distance plus tell how far from the start point through various means of distance (ft, km, yds, miles, etc). Search no more if this sounds like what you're looking for...this App is awesome!

Great app. This app is very handy I use it all the time from helping to find out how much acres a field is to range finding for hunting and target shooting

Works as advertised.. The ability to find distances between two lat/long positions would make this app awesome. I could see this feature helping sport fishers as well as naval pilots, such as myself, trying to determine the distance to their vessel. Please add this feature with next update. Definitely a five star app with added feature.

Perfect for Golf. I play a couple courses that aren't on any of the specialized golf apps so this was perfect. I've gotten so used to it and how simple it is that I don't use the specialized golf apps even on courses that are available to them now. Drop pins on each hole and save as a group to save time when you get to the course too. This is perfect.

Too cumbersome. I like the new design but there are too many steps when getting a distance between two spots. I use this for golf and it is now too cumbersome. Please find away to integrate the old process with the new design.

The update ruined the best measurement app and made it unusable for me.. I used it to measure multiple distances from a single starting point. It looks like the only way to do that is to be standing at that starting point. Also, the notes pop up after each point you drop is annoying.

Popnemo. Great app. I assume similar apps are equally accurate, but this one is easy to use compared to others I've tried.

Potential to be great app. This app provides very accurate distances from my experience but would be 100x better if multiple point measuring (a to b to c track) was available and also the ability to store tracks. I use this for kayaking and unless I'm on open water and have a direct shot to where I'm going, I have to run multiple point to point measurements to determine my route distance.

Give the app it's due. First you CAN do start an stop. Not sure if an update made it possible but you can. I took my tape measure and metered out 50 and 100 ft from my mailbox. This app NAILED the exact distances. VERY cool, accurate and worth the price. If you're thinking about getting a distance app, save your time, bite the bullet and buy this. I've owned at least 5 others and they just don't work as well as this. Feet, yards, meters, miles, kilometer. Go for it.

Fast and accurate!!. Really fast download and load time. Really works well on the golf course you can drop a pin to the next hole and see exactly how far away you are. No need spending $30+ dollars on expensive golf gps app. This works perfectly! I also heard the developer is really handsome and is well endowed. Unclipped. Developer now single looking to bang BBW.

LOVE IT!. As a hunter, this is a great app to have to find distance as well as saving locations for future hunts. GPS uses google maps with the added plus of being able to drop more than one pin. Along with saving locations....thumbs up! I've purchased another "range finder" app, the military one...it is HORRIBLE! Distance Maps is the way to go.

Nicely Done. Well executed app with a easy to use interface. I like the ability to measure how far I've walked without having to run a gps pedometer in the background sucking down the battery. Useful for anyone wanting to know distances or area calculations, thing like that. I measured with the app from country mile road to the next mile road and the app showed exactly 1 mile. So it is accurate.

User that needs an updated map. I like the app but it would be much better if it was an updated map I notice that buildings that are only 2 years old are not on map

Great!. Great for making your own running routes. Drop pins and it calculates the exact distance. You can set it to add up pin to pin, total distance, etc

Awesome. I'm a pro golfer and I use this to find my own distances, mainly because I play courses in Asia that are not in golf course apps. It works perfectly. Quick and easy.

Worth It- then some. I have close to a dozen if not more (apps )regarding distance or GPS. This one is one of my favorites . I have spent a lot of hours reading on apps. And their possible uses . I do not think you can go wrong purchasing it. I give 5 stars and it will probably just get better.

Slow. Map rendering is slow, frustrating when trying to get something done. Randomly shuts down. IOS 6 iphone 4. Great concept, accurate, just needs a little refining/improvement for a paid app.

Quick, easy, and accurate.. When it comes to just wanting to see the aerial view of an area for hitting golf balls, this app is perfect for the job. Unlike other golf aids, this one is direct and easy to use. No bells and whistles and other superfluous features that require loading and advertisements. It’s also great for ranging anywhere such as parks, or fields. It’s fun to check the accuracy by looking at various golf courses, zooming in on the 150 yard markers on the fairways and measuring the range to the greens.

Great golf tool. Got this to use on golf trip. Worked well to inform me of what was ahead. Didn't trust distances at first but they did prove accurate. Just had to recalibrate often on iPad.

Softball Guy. We use this when we go hit softballs to see how far the home runs are and is so easy to use. Helps when talking trash when your the one hitting the longest distance and can prove it!!

Great Discovery!. It may be an old app, but I've never tried it before, and I like it! I walk my dog every day, and it's great to know how far we've been. Also, when hiking, I like to map the distance BEFORE I go so that I'm sure my short little dog can make it that far. There's no one to pick you up if the dog tires out on the mountain trails!

Distance map. I love this app! Can be in the field & get a lineal dimension right now. People always ask me the name of the app. Only down side is that I have to launch it twice to home on current location. Would not be without it!!

Great sniper tool. This is an outstanding application. I use this to confirm ranging estimates as a LE sniper and it works great. I especially love the point to point distance feature for days when GPS reception is poor. Though I don't encourage anyone applying this tool in tactical precision marksmanship to use it as your sole ranging tool, it is an excellent tool for confirming your other methods of ranging you applied. What would put this app over the edge is if you could download maps for bad data connection areas, but I still give it 5 Stars!

Awesome tool to have. Extremely accurate & one of the most useful apps that I have on my iPhone. I use it daily to make my job easier.... Well worth the price!!!!

Awesome!!!. Works well for any type of range finding. I use it all the time for hunting and target shooting. Extremely accurate. I leave my laser rangefinder at home, and would have never bought one if I knew about this app. If you know how to read then you know how to use this app!

Possibly the best range app Ever. I don't usually rate apps but I loved this app so much that I had to! Simple in it's usability this app is simply the best distance range finder I've ever used. I'm an avid golfer and use the range a lot but didn't feel the need to drop $300 or more for a bushnell or some other top rated range finder so I've tried all kinds of distance range apps for my phone that either weren't accurate or too complicated with conversions u'd have to calculate on your own. This app so far is very impressive. On the range I can easily drop pins where I feel flags are and it tells me the distance from where I am! Simple. I've also found that if I go on the range when there are no golfers I can stand next to a flag and drop the pin right there and save the location for a more accurate reading. So no matter where the range tees are moved to the app calculate the distance from where I currently stand to my dropped pins. It doesn't get 5 stars because there's always room for improvements like clearer satellite image, more accuracy and better zoom which I'm certain will come from updates as technology gets better but this app is well worth the price!

IOS6 upgrade crash problems. I had been using this app with very little problem until I upgraded to IOS6. Suddenly, with your latest app upgrade to suit the new IOS, I can't get it to work: the map doesn't load to any usable level of detail (except continental), and it crashes each time I attempt to zoom in further. Please fix this.

Really great tool! Works !. I bought this skeptical. But I was amazed on its accuracy using Gps to measure ! I do long range shooting and it's insanely accurate down to the yard !!! Worth every penny. Or you can buy a 200 range finder

Great for a road trip.. This app worked perfectly for my needs when planning a road trip from L.A. to Los Cabos in México. It help me calculate very accurate distances between cities and the small towns I stopped at for food, rest and fuel. By the end of the trip I was glad to see that the margin of error of my iPhone was very very minimal, and my gasoline consumption calculations were pretty accurate too. Good job. Worth every penny.

Nice but only from current gps location. What would make this a 4 or 5 star for me would be the ability to have a start and stop. I need to be able to see distances on south america. Was in hopes this app would do it. What do you say guys?

Running routes. I use this to map out my running routes in advance. I like being able to save multiple routes so I can rotate routes through the week. It works pretty well for this and I use it regularly when I am training.

Help. The trashcan in my bottom right corner keeps removing all my pins and not just the last one :( please fix

Bo Norgan. Tried every free app for yardages, none met my standard. This allowed me to drop pins to distances and have an aerial view, it is as accurate or more accurate than yardage markers on two ranges, my home course- and I've tested it thoroughly. LEARN THE features. Tech savvy will love this, golfers of all ages who just want to know if it's "about" 260 to carry or is it 264(?) will love it. MUST BUY IMO.

Mileage / yardage assistant. I like the satellite view which is helpful getting yardages on a lake for swimming!! Very accurate on the road compared to actual mileage. Highly recommend!!

Driving golf balls.. I use this to find out how far I hit my golf balls.. This helped my golf game tremendous. So many other uses you can use this app for.

Accurate measuring but needs updated. Love the app use it constantly very accurate footage. This map needs updated! I use this app for accurate distance measuring and would like new maps to work with!

Horrible update. This was a terrific app but the update is terrible. I was using it to determine evacuation parameters for medical emergencies. Can no longer get altitude or measure multiple distances from a single point

SECOND TO NONE. This is the go to app for measuring distance from one point to another. I've purchased many other similar apps and this is by far the best.

Tedious. Good app just very tedious to use. Also after naming a pin it doesn't show up on that pin. To go between modes you have to go into the settings, change mode and hit save. It would be cool if in the upper right hand corner (or anywhere on the main screen) you could just change modes.. It would be cool if you had more options with your pins, like if I click a pin I would have the option to connect to another pin or measure distance. It's very tedious to have to go to the setting select your mode then to measure distance add EACH pin to the map

Works great for simple land surveying estimates. Provided me reasonably accurate distances for commercial real estate I needed to analyze, to determine how far away it was from key features within the city it is located in.

Rubbish... Bought this app since it states that searches can be made with Latitude and Longitude. No instructions are given on how to do so. Also, there are no options to view Lat/Lon coordinates on the app, which is why I took a chance and purchased the app. Only readout is strictly on distance.. Update: Learned how to input lat/lon but when I inputted the site of the Japan quake in lat/lon, I found myself somewhere in the heart of China.. sad..

Distance only from current location. Purchased to measure distance between two points. Only measures from current location. Because of this I see no need in dropping multiple points. Until this resolved, look elsewhere.

Great app for dog sports!. I’ve used this app for many years, and it’s gotten some really nice enhancements lately. The real time distance reading is perfect for walking off a specific distance, without having to drop and delete markers. You can also save your favorite groups so it’s easy to set up the same distances again. I’m recommending it to all my friends who do field trainjng!

Nice Tool at a Reasonable Price. I am an event planner and this APP allows me to measure fields, parks and other outddor venues pretty well for tent placement etc... I wish you could zoom in a bit more and it was not set to place a pin so sensatively, but overall I like it.

Mob26. I have used the app for 2 years and found it to be a extremely useful, especial when traveling internationally.

It used to be great. Unfortunately after updating it to the current version it no longer zooms in anywhere near as close as it used to. Which is critical for what I was using it for. I used to be able to measure distance between telephone poles- you could see the shadow of the pole and mark the exact spot. Now when you try zooming in all the way you get black squares with no picture. If you zoom out slightly to regain the satellite picture there is not enough detail to mark anything. It is almost impossible to see the property lines, roof details, and edges of driveways that I used all the time to mark distances in the original version of this app. This app supposedly uses Google Maps satellite data but the Google Maps app allows you to zoom in far closer than this app now does. Unfortunately Google Maps does not allow you to measure distances which is why I bought this app. If the author hasn't crippled this app after I bought and paid for it, I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately the current version is completely useless to me.

Great, simple app.. Good way to quickly work out point to point distances

Not good. Waste of money does do anything useful.. The help file does not download and can’t work it out without it .

*. This app does pretty much want I want for planning bicycle rides. I do wish there was a little extra space around the pin drop icon - It could be just me, but I frequently hit the book marked location icon by accident; surely the pin drop has to be most used and deserves a bit more real estate. Also I'd like to be able to save routes, with their total mileages. Actually it would be great to show the pin to pin distances right on the route. So, thanks for a useful app; just do what I ask and it will be perfect!

Great for the iPad. Use it map golf courses for fun - works great - for me it replaces google earth not on the iPad.

Excellent. Love this. I'm a law enforcement sniper and its nice for rough ranging multiple distances to locations overlaid with satellite imagery. Just hotspot my phone and connect ipadmini and set markers like a quick range card.

CRAP APP, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Gives point to point distance not road distance, fine if your going everywhere in a airplane which most of us aren't. This is an expensive app for that one crummy distance feature. I repeat, don't waste your money. These people want to get rich off a crap app.

Solid app. Works well though it often thinks I'm in Africa when I'm in Boston. But since it's in focus is not a GPS then no biggie. It's a good app.

Great for potential bike rides. Wanted to get a distance calculator for potential bike rides. So far this is perfect.
