Not so great. I just bought this, and the music is not my taste. Nice concept though.

Doesn't work on my 5s or Air 2. It loads, but there is no sound.

App fails to open. App won't open. Flashes quick opening page, then shuts down. May need an update for iOS 9. Can't tell for sure since I hadn't tried it under the previous iOS.

Singing Harmony. Rewrite: The iOS 9 download messed up this app and I could not get my previous Purchases. However, Susan Anders, the designer of the app(?) , persisted in making it work. Bravo!! So I am changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars.

Satisfied the app. Nice practice for me to against other vocal parts, which I struggle with.

Cool. I came back to change my review. After playing w it a little bit I realized that this app is pretty darn awesome. Please do Mr. Sandman And Lollipop!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice idea. Nice idea and is certainly helpful to hear the harmonies. Not nearly enough songs though. How nice it would be to have an app be able to break the harmony apart with most any song you listen to. Five starts when more songs are added.

No useful feedback?. You released this app a few years ago and you still only have 3 songs on the paid version? :-(

Great App, Great fun. My girlfriend and I use it on car trips. It's great fun. Five stars when they get more songs, but plenty to get all the same.

BEST APP FOR SINGING HARMONIES. AMAZING, I love this app but new iOS mess it up and I can not open it anymore. I hope the developer will upgrade so I can use it on my iPhone 6 Plus again. Only 99 cents for a good song, it's the best deal on earth. God bless the developer. Love

Kristina Olsen. Beautiful!! What a joy to get to sing such great songs with such great voices!! A great way to train yourself to sing harmonies, or polish your harmony technique! And the visuals are great! When you silence the singer, their arm goes down, when they are at half volume their arm is up but they don't have the bright light on them, and when full volume, arm up and light full. I love that you can turn the band off to focus more on the voices or have the band on for the full effect! I'm a professional musician and I think it is a great app and I think there is something here for all levels. Sing on!!! And now you can buy extra songs with the update, heaven!

Harmonies. Says you can listen to your own voice, but can't record it

Great App. I've been struggling for years to hear the different harmony parts in songs. This app takes away all of the guesswork. It is awesome and easy to use!

Not worth it. Unless you wanna learn just 3 specific songs, then I suggest you don't buy this app. It has a "suggest song" button and every time I pressed it nothing happened. Lousy app.

Great app! Just what I needed. I’m a guitarist, and really want to work on my harmony vocals. I looked around A LOT, trying to find good ways to practice on my own, because I need to build my chops before I’ll feel comfortable singing with the others in my band. With this app, I’m able to isolate the tenor vocalist, practice his line and then take him out to sing along with group. Often I just keep the alto and sing with her, because that most closely mimics the harmonies I want to do in my band. I’ve been using this about a month, and it’s already improving my ear and voice. Definitely this is the best method that I’ve found for practicing harmony singing on my own. I wish the app had more stars — it looks as though negative reviewers were complaining about the song selection and the quality of singers, which is insane. The singers are very good pros. All you really need from them is to sing in tune, and they do that plus much more. I have listened to the tenor and alto parts on Country Roads, Call Me Maybe and Helplessly Hoping over and over. They’re great. As for the song selection — that’s also bonkers. Most of these are not songs I would sing in my band. Country Roads is a bit corny for my taste, but so what? It’s a stone-cold classic, and I’m learning a ton by singing along with it in my car. The other tunes are a selection of Beatles, Eagles, Paul Simon, CSN, plus gospel songs, folk songs like “Wimoweh” and Christmas carols. It’s hard to argue with the quality of that selection! One tune that I downloaded because I really need to work on it is “Happy Birthday,” because that comes up ALL THE TIME on gigs, and I really can’t sing it very well. My bandmates actually sing it great, but I always fiddle with my guitar tuner during that one. Now, thanks to this app, I can learn a part to add to the mix. GREAT STUFF!!! OK, now, I hope that the developers are reading this, because I do have some requests: 1) A loop function! 2) A way to turn down the band, but not turn them all the way off, just like with the vocalists. 3) New songs. Here’s my wish list — “All I Have to Do Is Dream” and other Everly Brothers. “Nowhere Man.” “Royals.” “Closer to Fine.” “Sweet Dreams” “Java Jive” ... THANKS for the great work!

Version 2.0 to be released soon. I just bought this App. I really wanted to get a better grasp on learning harmonies. I was already using the Harmonies By Ear CDs and figured this would be a great addition to my training. I wrote the developers to ask about Version 2.0, which has more songs, and was told it is due to be released on Tuesday so I will be on the look out for it. I think the App itself is a great and fun way to learn harmonies. Brilliant idea, easy to use, and very helpful in ear training for harmonies. I will keep using it and looking forward to the updated version to learn more songs!

Lackluster!!. CORNY WEAK VOCAL UNPROFESSIONAL INTERPRETATIONS!!! Have heard better by pipped in elevator singing!! They should have TRULY HIRED AND PAID STREET CORNER A CAPELLA SINGERS TO MAKE THIS PROGRAM!!

Brilliant Idea!. Thank you so much for making this type of application! I've been hunting for one for a long time and have found exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint would be that there only three songs on here. Please add more if possible!

My kids love this. Thanks for unlocking the mysteries of harmony for me and my kiddos. We love to sing in the car. They are all over this, learning the various parts. The clear favorite: The Lion Sleeps Tonight! Too funny...

Not What I Thought. They only give you 2 free songs to help you out. There’s not really any instruction on how to use the app, and any other song in the app is a dollar. This app is ridiculous. If you’re rich, sure use it but otherwise it’s a waste.

Not good value for money. 3 songs for $2.99? I hope there's more to come than this and I am super disappointed with what I received for my money. The idea and execution is great however.

Can't stop smiling. So glad I found this! Been wanting to learn how to harmonize since I was a child and I'm excited to use this regularly! You can turn on/off up to 4 voices for each song and the interface is so much fun to play with. My bf and I planned on going out for karaoke but ended up staying home and singing with this app instead haha! Thanks for developing it!

Small song selection. This app works nice if this song you want to learn is in the small list that’s available. I thought I could actually use my own music library but that’s not the case.

Improve this app, please!!. Great idea! Love where this app could go, but... 1) $1 per song is too high. Maybe $1 for 5 songs you pick... 2) bigger song selection 3) better voices. Some of the voices are flat and nasally. Should be easy to hire 4 quality singers. Fix these things and this will be a stellar harmonizing app.

Best Harmony app ever!!!. I love this app. I have recommended it to all of my clients. It is so exciting watching them learn harmonies. I also appreciated how reasonably priced the songs are.

A Good App Keeps Getting Better. I've had this app for several years and continue to use it, it's a great little app. Each update is better--used to be if someone called while I was using it the app shut down, now it keeps working. It says on their site that they are working up some new songs and I for one can't wait. Bring on more Eagles, guys.

Awesome App!. This is a great program to use to start singing harmonies by ear! This will work great with Susan Anders' singing by ear packages. Please add the songs that go with "Harmony Singing by Ear" & "More Harmony Singing by Ear". I would also suggest you have an automatic loop to practice over and over and that the songs would continue to play when the screen shuts off. Very Creative!

No songs in song store. Bought the app and more than happy to pay for songs but when you go to the song store there are no songs in it. So you're stuck with just the three that they give you to start with.

One thing!!!. This app has so much potential going for it! But theres one thing that if this app gets it will be the best on the App Store for harmony and that's being able to add songs that you have in your phone to where the parts are broken down and the songs a person already has on their phone will be ready for harmony at any time!!!!! If this happens this app will attract a lot of attention from music lovers like myself and especially for harmonies!!!! PLZ MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!!

Good app. Divides up the 4 parts well. Before you download you need to know 3 things: 1. There are no lyrics 2. You can't record 3. It uses a lot of battery power. I have to leave my Iphone 5s plugged up if I intent to use the program for more than a few minutes. Overall, probably worth it (for now).

Useless. Only three songs for $ 3???? what a waste of money!!

Not enough songs to purchase. You need to purchase songs individually, but the problem is there are very few songs that can be purchased. Two thirds of the songs are public domain Christian songs/carols. This is not a viable app until the user can purchase more songs.

extremely well done. i just downloaded and installed sing harmonies... very clever and helpful. you can solo individual voices, drop some harmonies to half volume, and mix and match parts to learn different lines. i'm sure other songs will be available shortly. the only thing i would like to see is some kind of visual indicator as to which of the four 'singers' is singing the lead. cool app.

Great Teaching Tool. I use this wonderful app to learn harmony parts to teach my class. I cannot read music so this is super helpful, and easy to use. Nice selection of kid friendly songs. So grateful this exists!

Not enough songs and they aren't free!. They only give you 3 songs free and then there are only about 20 others to choose from that you pay $ .99 for each! Don't waste the money! Good concept but not enough content.

Amazing; hope they keep adding songs. This app does one thing *really well*. It gives you four-part harmony with light instrumental backup of a small repertoire of songs. You just tap on each of the singers to reduce or eliminate the volume of their track. Very intuitive. As someone who *can* sing harmony but struggles to hold my part, this is an amazing app. I start by turning off all the other parts and just learn mine. Then I turn on the lead at lower volume while keeping my part at full. Eventually I get to all the other parts at full volume with my part turned off. I’ve wanted something like this for years; it’s amazing to finally find it. The singers are all terrific and sing without too much embellishment. If you like country/folk style harmonies, I think you will like the recordings. It also has somewhat more creative harmony parts than I would work out for myself. Three songs for free, then you pay a dollar for each additional. Well worth it. I hope they keep adding to the repertoire.

This is amazing!. This tool is simple to use and works wonderfully in classrooms and when learning harmonies with friends. The ability to mute or turn down the various harmony parts is invaluable. I would love to be able to buy additional songs for this app and build-up my library. How about selling songs for two dollars each as in-app purchases? Sing Harmonies rocks!!

Shows great promise, but needs more songs. This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for but not yet at the scale it needs to be. Being able to hear each individual harmony and understand how it flows with the rest of the song is very important for vocalists and I’ve yet to find an app that comes anywhere close to this one in that field, but the small song library and outdated app design limit this considerably. With these couple of updates though I’m confident this could be the next big thing on the App Store

Great Potential. I am a drummer who sings harmony. For most of my amateur career, I have had to work out harmony parts by ear. Although this app is also by ear, each part having the ability to be isolated/blended as required is a huge help. I hope the developers continue to add new, more modern songs. So far, I am impressed with this app. There is precious little out there that addresses this subject. Keep up the good work.

Very impressed. Love it so far. Great that you can mute the instrument track since I sing mainly in a Capella groups. Would be amazing if some arrangements were made specifically for a Capella singers. Would also be fantastic if you could change the key to fit your vocal range.

Good App but hope to see future improvements. I enjoy this app but I'd like to see more songs added. It would be nice if to have other features like being able to turn off the display (to save battery life) and have it auto repeat songs. It's helping me learn to sing harmony so I'm happy with it.

Horrible.. This the worst! U already have to pay $2.00 for this app and it comes only with 3 free songs. The rest of the songs are $1.00. What a rip off.

Excellent app for learning to sing harmonies.. This app has helped me tremendously, and I've only owned it for a few days. I have tried a lot of singing apps out there, but this one is by far the best for learning how to sing harmonies. Can't wait to try out the other songs. $1 per song is a bargain when you consider that they had to record each track. The only recommendation I would make is to perhaps offer a discount if you buy multiple songs - eg. $1 per song, or $15 for 10 songs, or something like that. Anyway, great app, 5 stars. Cheers!

Do not waste your money. This app is for children. It has no features and no abilities to add your own songs. You force people to pay $3.00 and no chance to refund. Waste of money.

Terrible!. Can't get any volume out of this app! No sound at all makes it very difficult to sing along with.

Fun App. We'll be attending a 25th wedding anniversary shortly. "No gifts" but we still wanted to do something special... This app helped the four of us (mom, & 2 kids) to prepare a special present. Without this app, it would have been far more difficult to pull this off. The song "Lean On Me" should be a hit...now if they only had 'Love Potion #9' for an encore. ;)

Love this app. This app has helped me learn to harmonize. The selection of songs available to purchase is varied, ranging from pop to carols. The app is easy to use, simply press on the singer icon to hear or silence different vocal parts, it is visual and intuitive. I consider $1.39 per song to get 4 vocal parts and background music track great value! What’s up with these cheapos who won’t pay for someone’s hard work? Great app! Good work!

Misleading Screenshots. Only comes with 3 songs. Screenshots show Don't Stop Believing as an in-app purchase, which isn't true. I would accept the song for free as compensation for being mislead.

No sound at all!. I've downloaded both the paid and free app and both apps run but make absolutely no sound. I've adjusted the volume and every other setting and nothing works. Obviously very disappointed. There is no mention at all in their support materials of how to handle tech issue. Don't buy it unless you're a mute singer....

Tuning issues. Your app is so awesome. I couldn’t have been more excited to discover it. I am a professional singer, but have always sung the lead harmony part. I have always been looking for ways to improve my harmonising skills. This felt like the answer. I have told many people about it and want to continue to... There is just one important issue which is fixable- and I HOPE you will take the time to fix it- then this will be the perfect app and I will send it around far and wide. There are tuning issues with some of the singers. Can you have a producer go through every part and make sure every voice is tuned? The technology is there. You can have someone with a great ear auto tune every part. 🙏🏻 It will make all the difference to this being a huge success!
