Fix: We killed a bug that was graying out the option to turn on captions in on-demand content. For obvious reasons, fixing this was a top priority as soon as we learned about it.
Fix: Routine pest control. We killed some other nasty bugs.
Please bring back support for mirror play. This used to be one of my favorite provider until this new update got rid of mirror play completely. I’ll get the sound but the screen just Remains pitch black. Please fix mirror play.
Es malísima! No quiero pagar por este servicio
I started a subscription through Amazon. Long story short, after canceling my subscription I was still charged the 39.99 for the “live tv”. I called amazon and they agreed I shouldn’t of been charged. Since Amazon called Hulu and stayed on the line to help me with the refund. WHAT A DISASTER! After over an hour trying to find my account by email, then the card that was charged the guy on the phone grew impatient and rude to myself and the Amazon rep. The Hulu rep kept saying he couldn’t find my account and kept blaming the charge on Amazon. When the Amazon rep asked to speak to a supervisor, the Hulu rep said “You know what, you figure it out” and hung up. The Amazon rep and I couldn’t believe what just happened. Amazon felt awful and gave me a 40.00 credit on my account. THAT is customer service. HULU will never get another cent from me or my family ever again.
Hulu is very...disappointing. It takes forever for them to get new episodes on certain series. For example, Steven Universe, a popular cartoon, released their fifth season a while back. The fourth season didn’t get even get uploaded to Hulu until after season five had aired! Another example of Hulu’s disappoint is shown in The Good Doctor, a popular medical drama. Hulu claims to provide the five most recent episodes, along with the pilot. These episodes are not the most recent five. Currently, the show is at Season 1, Episode 15. Hulu’s library consists of episodes 3, 6, 7, 13, and 14 of he first season, not including the pilot. It would be awesome if Hulu would actually provide the five most recent, but even better if they would provide the entire series. However, Hulu does have shows that other providers, such as Netflix, do not. I still recommend Netflix over Hulu, though, for better performance.
“Trending: Will Anything Change After Parkland Shooting?” Why is Hulu sending me a message with this title? Why is Hulu even involved in social issues? What and who am I funding every time I make a payment each month? You know what? Go pound sand I don’t need Hulu.
I love the service but hate the controls and the ads. I have had occasions where the ads skip over the content and to watch a single episode I end up watching 2x the ads. The controls are the worst part though, the slider screen needs to go away because it is so easy to activate- again, it triggers the ads so users are forced to watch so many it gets ridiculous.
The current UI is horrible. Difficult to find things without searching for them, even if it’s a show that I watch. Most enraging, the entire screen will seek through the content when you swipe anywhere, even the slightest bit. I have lost my spot in what I am watching countless times because of this. I recently upgraded to live TV programming along with no ads. Some shows (even those that are not live or on DVR) still have Hulu ads. What’s worse is that it’s the same ad over and over, I have seen the same Lyrica ad fifteen times trying to watch a show. Again, I’m PAYING for no ads! I smell class action lawsuit for bait and switch.
I got perfect internet connection and never have streaming problems ever, but with this app everything takes forever to load, things like it not remembering where in a movie I stopped watching and such. Plus how come I got to deal with a minute and a half of ads every 10 minutes when I'm literally paying for there service? So greedy.
I recently changed from Sling TV to Hulu when I saw Hulu started offering live TV. The package and add ons are cheaper than sling and they offer free DVR. They offer a ton of different shows than Netflix and they show new episodes 24 hours after it airs. These features are great!! But it doesn’t matter how great or cheap they are when the network is down 50% of the time. Not only that but the layout and user friendliness is terrible! I’ve used Netflix for years and maybe the ease of Netflix has spoiled me but it takes a long time to learn how to find and navigate through Hulu. It’s only the beta version for their live TV but the layout is even worse than their stored shows. You’ve taken the first step into offering as much as Netflix and Sling but take a page out of their book and learn how to make something user friendly and laid out properly. I’ll give them a couple months and hope things change but if not I’ll gladly pay the extra $10 a month for sling.
I use to LOVE Hulu. But ever since the App has updated it has been AWFUL. First the app on my phone for some reason doesn’t show up on my main screen, i have to go into the App Store and search Hulu then click open in order to use it. Then it takes FOREVER to load. And sometimes not even loading at all. The first time this happened i thought that it was the WiFi i was using at the time. So i switched to my own phone data and that still didn’t help. Then i used a different WiFi and still the same results. It constantly says that’s it’s loading and buffering. It’s always a gamble as to whether or not i will actually be able to finish my show. On my Xbox the app literally doesn’t even work anymore. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no success. When i open the app it looks like it will open and then the screen says loading error. Every. Time. So no Hulu on my tv for me. And even when watching from my browser i can barely watch half the time because the shows always pause and buffer. I know it is not my WiFi because I have no problem with Netflix or doing anything thing else with my WiFi. It is only Hulu. It is incredibly frustrating to be paying for this service and for it to not work a majority of the time. I have actually considered canceling my subscription for good, because what is the point in giving Hulu my money if i can never use it.
Fwd/rev nav is frustratingly non-intuitive. Touching anywhere onscreen can cause a huge jump backward or forward, causing me to lose my place
I barely used this app in the two days I’ve had it and it has crippled my battery life. My phone is not old and was fine before I downloaded Hulu. Find someone who can lighten the load on my phone. Even after watching a few half-hour episodes, Netflix doesn’t affect my charge nearly as much. Also, please allow me to watch to an HDMI output. If it’s a licensing thing, then negotiate for it. Every other app can do it just fine.
I think Hulu is ok but it would be better if it gave the option to connect from device option like Netflix. So that you could connect it from your phone straight to the tv. That would be awesome. Also maybe keep episodes on longer. I hate when I’m watching a show and they take the first few episodes off before I was able to watch it. So then I have to find a way to watch it but other then that I don’t really have any complaints.
I wish Hulu had an option to remove or block shows that I don't want to watch. For instance, after I watch The View, it keeps trying to automatically play South Park - a show I absolutely despise. Plus, it added Desperate Housewives (another show I don't like) to my "Keep Watching" list because I fell asleep and the show auto-played. If I had more control over my viewing options and watch lists, I'd give Hulu 5-stars.
Just a junk update SO laggy! I think I’m going back to Netflix
This app is seriously the worst app I’ve ever used. Not only on my phone but also on my firestick. Im so glad I do not have to pay for Hulu because I would never pay for a service that barely even works. My internet is fine, everything else works fine but Hulu constantly buffers and freezes. Netflix never does that to me. Not to mention how horrible the fast forward and rewind is. If I accidentally hit it then I’ve got a good 5 to 10 minutes before I can get back to where I was. I hate this app. I’ll never pay for Hulu. Ever.
The ads are awful every single sec u get a add. They play the same ads over and over again and if u don’t want ads u have to pay more. When u go to pause the movie or show you are watching you can rewind of forward on accident and it’s a pain just a awful company. just go for Netflix way better has no ads to.
This UI update is so horrible and unusable, anyone who participated in this UI overhaul should never be offered another design job period. If I was a candidate I’d leave this out of the resume. Otherwise it’s going straight to the shredder.
The fast forward rewind thing really gets me angry. You try to tap the screen to pause a show and if you hit it in the wrong spot it throws you to a completely different part of the show. They need to fix this now.
