Tech issues galore. I have been paying for the most expensive live TV package, almost $100 a month and I have been having tech issues almost from the start. I have called them numerous times to try to get the issue fixed and nothing works. The issue is that out of nowhere, the sound stops working, I then have to get out of the app and go back in and try to find whatever I was watching again. This happens at least five times a day. For the amount I pay I should not be having so many issues as often as I do. I am tired of calling them, and they do not find why this keeps happening, and their only solution was to refund me the money and cancel my subscription. I am going to look into another service as of next month, given the fact that there are many others to choose from that happen to be less expensive. Don’t waste your money on the live tv

PLEASE FIX, APP WONT OPEN,CRASHES EVERY TIME I OPEN IT!!!!. How strange I write a review but App Store won’t post it‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️😡😡😡😡😡 Ever since latest update of week of April 20th 2020, the app crashes every time I click to open it, it won’t open it closes fast, faster than in the blink of an eye!!! This is a paid subscription that I pay more than $130+ a month for, could the developers please fix this asap!! Why should it be necessary to leave a review and never receive a reply and for it to come this far? Don’t you get paid to supervise the application enough to know there’s this huge bug or glitch whatever it is that it won’t let the PAYING CUSTOMER watch the programming without the unnecessary stress?!?!? Will this issue ever be fixed?!?! Going on a week now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t think you want your customers cancelling, let us know what’s going on, update us I think we have a right to know what’s going on and not be in a loophole!!!!! Way too many ads, I pay for Ad Free TV and it’s way too many repeated ads over again!!!! Kids filter should be updated for safer TV!!!!!!

Disappointing. The most expensive streaming service seems to have the most flaws, in my experience. Unfortunately, the help forum is anemic and the issues do not seem to be addressed - at least not in four months. The app will periodically shut down or the playback pixelates. Sometimes, there just won’t be any sound. I’ve not been able to find a way to report problems. Other services make it very easy and have far less problems. Despite paying for the “No Ads” option, there are still ads. You have to dig in to how they define “no ads” to see they mean “less ads.” I call that a misnomer at best; it feels like misleading. If you want to answer a text, expect the app to work as an insert screen for a few secs and then stop working. When you reopen the app, it will either keep trying to initialize and just not work until you shut it down and restart, or it’ll have lost your spot. Never fret, it will definitely make you sit through the same ads, again.

Never ending issues once again. Before I start I’d like to say that it’s pointless for us to even give them reviews on ads or anything of the sort because they don’t care and only care about making money NOT giving us good service. MANY of us have said the same thing over and over again about the ads , even years ago. 💢And it still hasn’t changed if that says anything💢. I’ll change my rate the second you change me getting ads every 3 minutes/ every time a new episode comes on or even every time it gets interesting. It could at least be every 10 to 15 minutes. It’s really annoying that I can’t even understand what’s happening in my show because I don’t get enough time to even watch it without a ad popping up. So that’s for a freaking review. ❌No I don’t recommend this app❌if you can’t afford the best plan. which I cliched the wrong one so I have to deal with this now :), because I’m not paying them $13 to $15 when they do this when you have ads. Completely ridiculous.

What in the actual f*&k. Have you ever actually used you own app? This is the worst user experience I’ve ever, well, experienced. Nothing makes sense, nothing is intuitive, and everything is horrible. Other streaming apps have the pause button in the middle of the screen, and some even make it that when you tap the screen the show/movie pauses. Your pause button is hard to find and never works. The same with the back and forwards buttons. You really need to run this through some usability evaluation trials before pushing it out. You might find that nothing, from finding an episode of a show to scanning through a movie doesn’t actually work. And then you might find that it doesn’t work half the time anyway, and I have to restart it a few times to even watch a show I can’t find or sort through. Just a suggestion. You do have good content, and I appreciate that.

SO MANY GLITCHES!. Great app, but there are a lot of bugs that need to me fixed. First off, the skip, I tried to resume an episode I was watching and every time I would go to skip back to where I was, it would restart the episode. Also, the ad problem needs to be fixed, it keeps playing the ads, then replaying them. Like it would have the ads run as normal, then replay them for no reason. Also there needs to be an easier way to change plans. Skipping is rather annoying as well because every time I skip forward or back it sends me back to where I was! It has even started to black out my screen at certain points in movies and TV shows. I’m very upset about this because all I want to do is watch a show, and it won’t let me! Please fix all of this!

Amazing App. I find this an amazing app and do not understand why there are so many bad reviews. There are tons of shows to watch of many different genres Cartoons, Dramas, Action, Comedy and so much more. I’m sorry if you didn’t choose the right plan. There have been no troubles for me except one thing for kids I find it annoying that you can’t select a age until 13 my 10 year old can only watch shows for little kids and has been begging me to let her have TV-14 but that has inappropriate content for her. So please please make you be able to do different age ratings for kids under 13 such as TV-Y, TV-Y7, TV-G, and TV-PG. I find this a problem because my daughter can only watch kid shows. I also caught my 4 year old watching sailor moon and I am positive this is not age appropriate for her. PLEASE CHANGE THIS.

Disappointed. Live, this works fine. I got this for watching soccer and football. I often need to record, and watch same day. Recording has been an absolute disaster recently with nfl games and World Cup. Recordings don’t show up. Other ones are chopped, with the endings missing. One game, they seemed to think was happening 8 hours after it was played and when I sat down to watch 4 hours after game, it said the game wasn’t played and then when it did show up, it was junk off the station. It’s frustrating, and at this point I’m giving up and moving to a different service. I’ve used competitors before and not had this much an issue. Don’t get me started on the gui, also. It’s difficult, but I’d deal with it if I got recorded what I wanted. Maybe this won’t matter to you, after all most people pick streaming for content. But look elsewhere if you need to record live sports. These guys are clueless.

App almost never starts on the right episode. App is super annoying! Almost anytime I leave watching a show even for 5 min when the app is still open, it can’t figure out where to restart my show! Almost always plays on an entirely different episode, most of the time 6-7 shows behind where I’m at, even in the middle of a show. I always have to search for the show again and go down the episodes till I find the one with half a bar indicating I’m not finished with that episode. Even clicking on the continue episode doesn’t work and you can’t view the other episodes unless you click on the correct show square since the show comes up in your keep watching and as a show on the homepage, yet keep watching doesn’t allow you to view all episodes. It’s super annoying and makes me want to go back to only Netflix

Great Content. Terrible layout.. I love the shows on this platform. But I run in to so many problems with quickly starting where I left off after my previous view sessions. It takes me a minute or two to get back to the episode I was watching, WHICH IS A PROBLEM I DONT INTO WITH ANY OTHER PLATFORMS. Very disappointed with the customer inference & the interaction I have had with it so far. The way the system works causes strain which SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. I am a very tech savvy person too. But this app makes it 10x more strenuous to operate. Using this app opposed to others is a terrible experience.. The only reason I continue paying for this is because the content is great. I am very disappointed with the customer interface being a new customer. Its 2020, hope you know how to fix it. Sheesh. I’ll be sure to be talking to my friend about this too. Hopefully they get this fixed up soon. Lots of potential. Terrible platform performance so far. Don’t even get me started when I get gypped by watching 2 long adds in a row. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Glitchiest streaming app out there. I constantly have issues with this app. First off, the ads will double or even triple up sometimes, you can be stuck watching over 5 minutes of ads (each saying they will last only a minute and a half) in a row for about 3 minutes of show watching time in between. Secondly, the audio will occasionally not start up when beginning to watch a show, no matter what you do to start it up it won’t begin unless you completely get out of the app or even have to delete it and redownload it. Sometimes the ads will get skewed on the shows timeline so in the middle of a scene or dialogue the ad will begin without any warning. The shows will also occasionally just be a black screen (with or without audio it depends) for the entirety of the show run time. In addition, the subtitles will get messed up and pop up way after the dialogue has been spoken. I’ve never had more trouble trying to work an entertainment app before. If you’re gonna put so many ads in this app, make sure they don’t completely screw up the show watching experience, I’ve never been so frustrated trying to watch a show.

Good. I like the app it has many shows and many more to come also has many features but paying that much is a little much for the app and a small problem is that when you tilt your phone you can see other shows but it is easy to mis click and hit another show it can be Annoying after a while but a useful feature is the play next episode button it helps a lot in shows but there is sometimes a glitch where you watch the show but doesn’t put you at a different episode when you have already watched the episode you’re on but great area thing to look at recommendations I like the layout a lot and I think this layout should be the the main layout for all entertainment apps

Commercials and streaming service. So, for the commercials I don’t mind watching. However if you want to rewind to watch a scene before the commercials break you have to watch 3 minutes of commercials (1 min when you first pass through, 1 min when you rewind, and another minute when you pass through again). It’s kind of annoying that it does that and doesn’t save that you already watched the ad breaks like other video streaming platforms. In addition, I get a lot of problems with the streaming service. Like the episodes won’t load and it tells me to come back later or refresh. I know it’s not my internet because we just upgraded it to a faster speed and out of all the apps on my phone and TV this is the only one that needs to be refreshed. Lastly, episodes. Episodes on phones can only be watched two at a time. Then you have to go to the series list for the next two episodes, which is inconvenient because of the loading issue mentioned above. I love the shows on this app, but really not worth all the bugs and issues.

Buggy. Shows are good but delivery is buggy. I’ve only subscribed to version with commercials: coming out of commercials the sound is usually out for the 1st ~3-5 seconds, if you feel the sound was important & you rewind, it will make you watch all the commercials again (& the sound will likely be out on the other side of the commercials again— so there is no way to hear that part). Sound never goes out during the commercials (their priorities are clear). Sometimes a block of commercials will be presented & there will be a challenge loading the show after the commercials & the app will give up, if you restart it you definitely watch the same commercials, but you only maybe get to watch the show. Seems like the obvious fix would be to get the commercial-free version, but the difference in price is pretty steep & if they do such a poor job of delivering the cheaper version I have little confidence they would be able to provide an adequate premium product.

Always signs me out. Im not the biggest fan but it has a lot of shows I like so I usually put up with it, however the app has become essentially unusable for me within the last few months and I just don't have the energy to fight with it for 2-3 shows I can probably pay to watch somewhere else. Every. Single. Month. Like clockwork, it kicks me off my account. Every month. Like, to the day. And every time it says my device has been removed from my account. The shows I watch I watch regularly so it's not inactivity, but there's also no way it's too many devices because the rest of my family doesn't even use the app, and none of them have had this problem, only me. Only my devices. And every time it happens I get more and more annoyed. Honestly I don't even care about finishing my shows anymore, I'm just going to delete the app. Besides, I cant even watch it in the pop-out window without the app refreshing every 5 minutes so I'm not missing out on much, just frustrated because I tried to make it work for so long

Hate using this to cast to a tv. A lot of times I’ll start watching an episode on my phone and then move to the living room and cast it to the tv. It almost always messes up when I do this. Even when I start watching an episode by casting to the tv it often messes up. The main problem is that it will lose its place where it was in the episode and makes you start over. When you go to fast forward to where you were, you have to watch the beginning of show commercials, AND the commercials right before the spot you’re locating. I’ve also had it randomly change what show or movie I was watching but since it makes me watch commercials first, I don’t realize it until afterwords. Basically I just watched 6 minutes of commercials before being able to find the spot I was previously watching on my phone. And this is not the first time that has happened…It should not be this difficult when other apps have no problems.

Over commercialization successful.. I’m a capitalist I get trying to squeeze a little more profit out of your service, but this is taking it too far. Then you make it worse by making FF or RR anywhere near the commercials an invitation to watch the whole set of commercials, 200+ seconds of commercials to be exact, again! Oh and you manage to get through the commercials to start watching your show and the app locks up. You have to restart the app. Then you restart your show. Remember those commercials you watched right before the app locked up? Yep. Better get ready to sit through those same commercials again. Mind you all this is on the less commercials plan that costs extra. I was really happy with the live TV plan until you went nuts with the commercials. Now you want $90 dollars a month? I can get cable or satellite for that much. I’m gonna try other services like Direct TV, PlayStation Vue or Sling. Shameful.

Could be way better. At first I loved this app then after using it for a awhile I found all the glitches. The time it takes to download a movie and all the buffering makes it difficult to even watch a show or a movie. I pay the extra for no commercials but by the time it buffers 25 times through the movie or show.... I give up. It never used to do this so much but now it’s all the time. I go to the other competition movie app and it doesn’t do it on that app so I know it’s not my internet. Did you get rid of someone that knew what they were doing tech wise??? Also they used to change the movie choices more often and have newer movies, even better that the competition, but now the movies are always the same and all OLD movies and horror film it’s boring and sickening. There used to be more choices, what about PBS, what about getting up to date history channel. I’d like to see some historical dramas and movies!! I pay my fee each month and I’m barely getting good use out of the app. I Really think I’ll discontinue my subscription.

Buffering, Glitches, Selection or Movies and Shows, and ADSS. Buffering and Glitches• The app has a nice selection of shows and tv shows. But it buffers and glitches A LOT!!! This makes it hard and annoying to watch stuff. It took me 20 minutes to get a movie started. I had to constantly restart the app and exit in and out of the app; to stop the glitches. I’ve checked my WiFi and it works perfectly. You would think with the updates it has they would have already fixed the constant buffering, loading, and glitches. It gets to the point where I can’t, don’t, or want to even bother to use the app. Selection of Movies and Shows• Another problem which isn’t that big is the selection of Movies and Shows. Don’t get me wrong it has an “okay” selection but they don’t update it that much. They don’t have much of the movies or shows I’m looking for. A lot of the shows they have aren’t that popular. I find it hard to not rewatch most of the same stuff. I’ve had this app for a year now and have watched mostly everything I’m interested in. Commercials• The commercials and constant ads in the app make me go CRAZY. There are so many commercials. I just want to watch something without commercials every 10-15 minutes. With all this I recommend Netflix or another app to watch stuff. But if you are looking for a specific show that is anti popular this app probably has it. The app has issues where it gets to the point you don’t want to use it.

Commercial overload. I really like the app but two things turn me off about it. The first is that when picking a show they play too many commercials. Once you pick a show they play 90 secs of commercials, then they play the opening credits for your show. Then they play another set of commercials before playing the show. Then they play 2 more sets of commercials during a show that is only 22-25 mins. After the show is over they play another set of commercials before and after closing credits. I know that it is only 90secs but this adds up and makes me disinterested in watching any shows. The other feature I dislike is that when trying to watch “live tv” even when you pick that option they will make you watch the show from the beginning. Then you have to fast forward to live tv, after watching commercials of course.....

Love the content, HATE the interface. I don’t understand why I can’t just remove shows from “continue watching” - there are so many shows I’ve watched but for whatever reason still appear in the “continue watching” section, regardless if I watch till the very end of the credits or fast forward to the end, it just sits there. I like the immediate start of the “next episode” feature when I am binging a series but why does it randomly start another show when I finish a series or movie? That new show is now stuck forever in my “continue watching” purgatory. Using “remove from watch history” isn’t the solution because I do want episodes/movies I’ve watched to note that. Most other streamers give you the option to remove/edit shows. Please fix this.

Login/password issue. I’m starting to be really annoyed with this whole password issue. Not sure if anyone is having this same issue. I have this app on my phone and tv but whenever I try to log into one or the other, the password doesn’t work. I would end up having to “change” the password again on each platform. Just now, after changing the password on the tv at home, I’m trying to log in on the phone app and the password is not working. What is reasoning for this? Same thing happens for my family who share the account. I want to guess I’ve changed the password about 4x each week. I start changing the password to the same password as last time as I have run out of password ideas. Now, I’m too lazy to watch the show because I don’t want to go through with the password changing process again….

even worse after newest update if that’s believable. the screen flip to landscape doesn’t always work and before it goes to full screen, I often change the show my accident because you guys insist on showing a list or que of shows beneath the playing video it’s really frustrating when a show just randomly changes because i accidentally touch somewhere i didn’t meant to by adjusting the angle of my phone just to get the screen size larger and make it actually go to full screen. On top of that problem, I can’t tell you how many times i have started watching a show by hitting next only to realize that the app has started me several episodes back and doesn’t track the episodes i have just watched instead of tracking the few i watched the night before it just starts me wherever it thinks i left off. And with the newest update, now I literally have to go to setting and choose the best quality streaming option when i am not on wifi or the audio will not work in the app at all. I usually have to do this several times to get it to actually work, and I have to do it anytime i start using the app off wifi. Why don’t your settings work correctly, why does this bug exist have not enough people reported it or does the developer team not care lol. So BUGGY almost as bad as the HBO Max app.

Wack af when it when it’s not allowed to play commercials. Ever since I paid for commercials to be off this app it’s so hard to stream on GOOGLE CHROMECAST and my iphone. It’s doesn’t stream well at all. If leave the app on my phone I have reconnect to Chromecast. Whatever I’m watching starts over. Cant fast forward until I close the app three more times while still having to activate streaming to or just watching on my phone because there’s no in picture viewing. If I close the app to take a call or check a text the app closes. Show starts all again. This has been consistent since started paying for no commercials. Idc how many updates y’all have applied they still don’t apply to my issue with this app because I still have issue on my iPhone. Regardless of the fact I have a older mode Chromecast. Every one else’s app works just fine on it accept this one. Literally.

AHHHHHHH. Ok so I don’t actually use this on my iPad but I downloaded it so I could write a review of what’s happening in my tv. Ok so I got it to watch modern family and mha, and every time I try to watch ANY show, it glitches and keeps loading and says it can’t play it. EVERY TIME. Usually I just have to completely go back to profile screen and my tv’s Home Screen to watch one episode of a show. But a couple times I’ve had to UNPLUG MY TV in order to watch a stupid show from this stupid stupid STUPID app. And then when I updated it on my tv I was so relieved that these problems would stop. But no, ALL THEY DID WAS MOVE THE OPTIONS TO THE OTHER SUDE OF THE SCREEN. They must not read any reviews, because from what I can tell on not just the App Store everyone is having this problem. So developers, I warn you, be better business people and read and fix what customer reviews say, or I will cry because it’s just making me more stressed.

How hard is it to make a streaming app?. A textbook display of mediocrity. Does it play your videos? Sometimes. Does it remember where you stopped your last video? Almost never. Is it easy to rewind 10 seconds to see that bit again? Sure, as long as you watch all the commercials again. I can’t figure out if the developers are just incompetent or purposely making it difficult to find your show so you have to watch more ads. The app never remembers where I stopped my last video and instead starts me 5-6 episodes back. Want to rewatch a show you’ve already watched? Well get ready because it remembers when you watched episode 4 last time 3 years ago, you stopped the show during the credits, so obviously that’s where we should pick up again. Letting a show autoplay? What episode comes after episode 7? Obviously it’s episode 3 so we can rewatch all those other episodes.

Objectively worst streaming app. Sometimes I have to restart the app three times before it’s usable. First the main screen doesn’t scroll, then theres no sound, and consider yourself lucky if the full screen button works. If you dare to use this app with an AirPlay device, you are likely to experience: No autoplay next episode, or if it does start a new episode it just crashes instantly. If the episode ends before you can open the app and press “play next”, it crashes. Crashes if you try to use the time slider on the app instead of your device remote. Crashes if you leave the show paused for more than a minute or two. And if you’re not using AirPlay? How dare you. Random bouts of video controls not working at all requiring restart. Never remembers where you are in an episode and restarts from beginning. Also, just randomly crashes in the middle of episodes. Maybe every other episode. How a multi-billion dollar company passes off an app this awful is stunning to me.

Horrible service. I been calling these people every month for the past 4 months always an issue with my account. They say they fix it and it’s literally a Band-Aid for the time being. Constantly having to reset my password. Can’t log in my home because it’s telling me I’m not home. Can’t watch on my phone because my home location keeps being removed. Somehow I called them and all they can say is they can give me a weeks credit when I’ve been dealing with these issues for four months now. Spoke to the highest customer service rep I can speak to and that’s all she can offer me as one week and after being on the phone for an hour, she tells me I got a call when I get home to do this all over so they can reset my home location. Worst service ever. As the time goes by their service just gets worse and worse but yet they want to keep charging more I don’t pay $100 a month to have such horrible service.

Love it but a few problems. Hi there for people who read this please do download it even if there are a few problems.(and because of what I say) This app is perfect for me because their is a ton of anime and other shows though I do wish they speak English or Spanish because thats what I understand but other then that it is perfect. NOW THEN THE PROBLEMS. Sometimes the adds are way to long and I sometimes have to take breaks for off the phone because of school and then even after the add it sometimes replays and I don’t want that and when I was trying to watch an anime (Fairytale) it said we are having problems please try to refresh your screen and I did but it kept on saying that. Quality. I like watching my shows on my laptop. At first, the show I’m currently watching (Naruto Shippuden) had great quality but towards the end of season 1, the quality was the worst it’s ever been. It’s very pixely. I tried restarting my computer and reconnecting to the wifi and when that didn’t work, I figured if I downloaded the app on my computer, it would help...it didn’t. I checked to see the quality of other shows on my phone and laptop and they were normal. I couldn’t find anywhere else to watch the show so I just sucked it up and continued watching. However, when I checked again today (because it’s slowly eating me up) the quality on the app on my phone was just as bad. Please, PLEASE fix this on both your app and website. I’ve read other reviews with people saying they’ve been having this problem for months and it still isn’t fixed. Thank you.

Poor user interface. This app is riddled with bugs and faults that only seem to get worse with every update. The layout is poorly designed and often forces users to close the app completely then restart the app in order to get the “ continue watching” row to be available. I appreciate the ability to search for other shows but there needs to be a way to lock the bottom half of the screen in order to prevent accidentally selecting another option listed below the video. The app is often laggy or slow and downloads only work sometimes. Not to mention the lack of quality options for subscribers to watch, more than half of the movies are available on basic TV, the rest are newer movies that did not do so well in the box office. With all the money being charged to customers the selection of movies ought to be higher rated and newer. Am I ready to cancel my subscription? No, but if the user interface of this app doesn’t improve cancellation is next.

Doesn’t Like Chromecast. It utterly baffles me how this app can continue to be riddled with glitches in terms of connecting to Google Chromecast. This can’t be an uncommon method of viewing and yet the app cannot maintain connectivity for more than a few moments. And I don’t mean that in the sense of video disconnecting from the TV, but the app as remote quickly loses its ability to function as such. The pause function doesn’t respond on iPhone Lock Screen or on the opened app, and I have to exit out of the app to reconnect to Chromecast. This often results in either the episode starting from the beginning and thus losing my place and/or it repeats the advertisements again that I had just seen instead of resuming the episode. Again, it’s just maddening to me that this is somehow still an issue. Seems an easy thing to fix. I Don’t have this problem with other streaming apps.

For sports on ESPN, not good. Many very frustrating glitches and bugs. We tag many sports on ESPN+ into My Stuff. After the game is over tho the game does not appear in My Stuff unless you force quit the app and relaunch. How hard is it to program a refresh of My Stuff content when I open the app? Worse, when watching the game suddenly stops and says “can’t play this content right now”, and the game disappears from My Stuff. Hours later maybe it reappears but forgot our place in the game. Now absolutely the worst, can’t use search anymore to find games and even put them into My Stuff because the search tab says “weak connection” even tho the app has a great connection and can access other content and live TV. So beguiling that they’re happy to take your money and increase the cost every few months while the app gets buggier and buggier. Please use that extra money to pay for some decent and conscientious developers!

New app design terrible. I don't normally take time out day to simply bash apps on iTunes but this new app redesign was so freaking terrible I couldn't get the bad taste out of my mouth so here I am. Tiles really guys seriously and not just tiles poor and restrictive ways to view shows I can't just get a bunch of small icons like before that give me optimal information no I need to thumb through every single tile to see anything well I guess the days of me discovering new shows is over because even browsing your data base is a nightmare so on my iPad Pro 12.9 I see 4 tiles at a time where as before I would see like 20 or more on my old iPad 9.7 inch this is absurd I advise if you do not want to lose people just in the settings simply add a legacy mode switch to the UI so us who aren't mouth breathing idiots can enjoy browsing your selection. Ah I feel a bit better now we'll back to struggling through your terrible UI which will most likely lead to me cancelling my subscription

Ads, ads, blank screens, and more ads. Worked perfectly fine until a few weeks ago. I’ve been binging a show for about a month (at least I was until this app stopped working) and it worked well up until it started only playing ads instead of the show, and whenever the ads finished it would “play” but the screen would be blank and trio out until it was replaced by more ads that were even longer. I’ve redownloaded, updated, and restarted the app on my phone countless times but it still has not decided to work. Also even if the show plays for a few minutes, it never starts out where I left off and if you try to skip ahead then it shoots you back to the beginning with more ads and bugs out again. Watching it works fine on my computer, don’t have a clue what decided to happen to the phone app recently. Hoping they fix this issue soon. Oh also, there’s no sound… Unless it’s for ads

Up next fiasco. I don’t understand the algorithm behind the episodes listed in “up next”. It is so annoying to have to exit that list and go back to “my stuff” to watch another episode every single time that I cannot give more than two stars. They’re not even in “my stuff”, and why would anyone want to watch random episodes of different shows one after the other instead of watching consecutive episodes of a show? Who does that? But that’s not even the point. I would rather see the new episodes of the shows in “my stuff” in the “up next” list than a bunch of episodes of random shows. For instance, I see the option of adding individual episodes to a list called “my episodes”, which cannot be accessed anywhere. Basically a blackhole. Why not add the episodes in “my episodes” to “up next” and give users the ability to manage the “my episodes” list? Just a thought...

Issues with opening my app since the latest UPDATE. My app literally won’t work at all any more doesn’t even go to load it automatically closes out in the same instant I am trying to go in it literally no next screen shows or anything I mostly use it on my phone so it’s a bummer that there’s nothing I can do to get my app to work so here I am trying to get in the right contact with someone for this issue to be fixed I tried everything possible on my end every other network is working perfectly fine on my phone so I know it’s not my device thank you other than this I haven’t had any issues with the app as long as I’ve been using it that’s why I assume it was the latest update cause it didn’t start happening until then

Please Either Fix Your App Or Be Truthful. Here’s addition to my last comment - we have an Internet speed up to 1 GB and my husband is a programmer/analyst for a living, so we know the issue isn’t on our end. But will you please upgrade your servers so your app doesn’t constantly idle and lose connection. We pay for no commercials but STILL get them ALL the time. Constantly buffering. I’m a teacher so I used to use this for documentaries but now whatever you did I no longer can. Don’t even get me started on your ‘Continue Watching’ section! I have shows I’ve never watched all over it and can never find the shows I ACTUALLY AM WATCHING! And what the hell is it with eliminating episodes after only watching them once?! I started watching a series, one was Nancy Drew, the rest of my family wanted to watch the older episodes to catch up and they’re gone! What the hell! This is a brand new series people! Either fix your dam app or be honest about how you have things set up! Seriously!

Laughable Technical Bugs. Now that they’ve finally upgraded their library so that the majority of their movies aren’t straight to video titles from 10-20 yrs ago, as it was a few yrs ago, you’d think they smooth out their technical bugs. But no, they STILL have the following bugs on roku: -if you happen to fall asleep while bingeing a series, whenever you come back it will ALWAYS go to the farthest you’ve gone in a series, even if the last time you stopped at an earlier episode; - the rew/ff buttons are so slow that unless you want to wait a minute you have to keep your finger pressed down in the other buttons; “Continue Watching” excludes certain titles (no rhyme or reason as to which ones) so you either have to find the title again or go to “My Stuff” to continue; -if you watch w/ the subtitles on, it will overlap with the hard coded subtitles or credits (other streaming apps move them temporarily at the top). And on iOS, if you happen to use a different account later, there is NO way to log out of your existing account. The fact that they’ve had these same bugs for AT LEAST 3 YRS AGO is borderline hilarious. Especially as they’re charging close to the prices of Netflix, HBO Max, etc. Will never pay again for this service until they fix these bugs, which you don’t see on any other streaming apps, really.

Please fix. Your ads on some shows make using the app frustrating. Unexpected error occurs, I go to press play again and then the program is over and skips to an earlier episode, I back out press play again and sometimes it restarts and I have to fast forward through all the parts I watched. Other times the sound is completely off with the picture and I have to completely restart the app. I’ve also noticed that during some shows you’re missing part of the content which can be frustrating when it pops up in a later episode. Please work out these bugs, I pay for premium and I shouldn’t be experiencing issues like this nor should anyone that pays for your service

Not Accessibility Friendly. I’ve only had this app for a half an hour and I’m already so frustrated with myself for downloading it. I’m visually impaired, and while this app states that it has audio description it is impossible to use. I can’t find it anyway err on even the shows and movies it states has it, and when I go to the website to change it like it says I should it just gives me a description of what the feature is supposed to do instead of activating it. On this note, there is no way to find your continue watching. Where you can usually find shows and movies you have left off on other apps, this doesn’t have one, and if it does it need to be more easily accessible, even for beginners. It also didn’t save any of my shows/movies I clicked on that I’m interested in watching. Their “My Stuff” which I woul assume to be like Netflix’s “My LIst” only saved two of my shows I clicked on out of my eleven and one of my movies out of the eight. Over, extremely disappointed in the app and myself for having higher hopes in it.

Brand new customer. Omg, not political ads! I am a brand-new customer. I took advantage of the $0.99 offer for a year. So far I am quite happy with the service except for one thing. I don’t have a problem with the commercials since I knew it would happen due to the offer price. What I don’t like is the same commercials over and over again. It seems like when watching a program with several episodes, there is a repetition of ads which is, quite honestly, not going to get me out there for those products. There are a few older dramas (and probably sitcoms that aren’t already in syndication) that I would like to watch, namely “Cold Case,” “Boston Public,” “Falcon Crest,” and “Picket Fences.” I’m sure that there are more, but I cannot come up with them at this time. I’ll keep watching. The old shows are usually much better than the reality shows like the Kardashians and Real Housewives that are on now.

Several Problems. My biggest issue with the app is that certain episodes won’t download. For example, episodes 1-3 of a show might download then 4 will refuse to. For someone who relies primarily on downloads, this is a pain. Also, some episodes are missing entirely from certain shows. This may just be a copyright issue, but with all the other issues this app has, you never know. More recently, I’ve been having a problem where episodes I’ve downloaded won’t play. I end up having to close the app and open it again just to make the episode play. And often it won’t save my progress if I stop in the middle. Finally, when I try to remove things from My List, some shows won’t leave. It says they’re not in there anymore, but they still appear in the feed. Honestly, the only reason I’m giving this app any stars is that I enjoy the content. I would be much happier, however, if they could fix these problems.

Not special needs friendly. Don't give them a cent. They have the volume for the ads at triple the volume the shows are at. They don't care if you have sleeping children or a sleeping partner in the room. They don't care if they scare the living daylights out of people every ten minutes. They don't care if you're autistic or have sensory issues or have children with sensory issues or have trauma related to sudden noises. The difference in volume is so startling, you will throw whatever is in your hand, drop the baby, and pee your pants. Everyone needs to report them to the FCC, it's really easy. Don't bother reporting it to their customer service, they are very transparent about the dramatic volume difference being a scam to get you to pay for premium- which still has ads. I love Bob's Burgers but no show is worth shattering whatever is in my hand and I'm running out of babies to fling. They take ten months to grow, you wads.

Yay an app that we pay for that doesn’t work. Like everyone else says, listen to commercials (for an app we PAY for by the way), miss the first 5 seconds of the show we’re watching, hit rewind for 10 seconds but THEN you have to watch those 2 minutes of the SAME STOOPID COMMERCIALS all over again. This app is making me wish for cable again! Update now on top. This is getting OLD REAL QUICK! FIVE MINUTES — YES!!! FIVE MINUTES — of commercials for LESS THAN TWO MINUTES OF THE SHOW!!! And that last one was with only ONE FREAKING MINUTE OF THE SHOW LEFT! Yay. An app. That I pay for. That shows commercials that last up to 2:30 minutes every 2-3 minutes of video. This is beyond stupid. All day long today, every 20-30seconds you’re running adds for minutes and minutes. Why are we PAYING for an app that shows more commercials than the shows / movies we want to watch?! Update: more commercials than content. Literally. 2-3 minutes of commercials every 2 minutes. FREE TV IS BETTER. Continued. After 1 minute and 33 seconds of show, MORE COMMERCIALS CAME ON. 1.45 minutes of commercials!

Really should be Zero Stars. Really, the ad system is completely fubared. One, the ad timer is now a lie. Ads timers are now never less than two minutes. And when that timer runs out, the ads keep going. Up to six minutes+ at times. And that is just one ad break. Really if I could find some of this stuff on sat or cable I would have to deal with less ads that way. Two, the ad timers are hard breaks fixed in the show. If the transition messes up from ad to show, and the show timer progresses while not displaying the show because it hung up at the end of an ad? If you try to rewind to see what you missed, well get ready for another four minute+ ad break because you rewound into the break. Three, the transition messes up at times, either delaying giving you the show, but the play timer is progressing and dumps you into the show at the point the hang up finally resolves. Or it resets the show to the start. Four, you can’t even effectively fast forward in case of a restart. Because the app will force you to watch each break you fast forward over trying to get back to where you are. Hit two or three, and you can run out to pick up dinner and still get back in time. Five, the ad algorithm is strange. I’m watching a dubbed anime, why do you think a Spanish language commercial will do anything but be extra annoying?

Latest update crashes instantly. Happening again. For a week now the app instantly crashes. Didn’t get any refund last time when it did it for nearly a month. Doubt I’ll get one now. This was my first streaming service but have enough others now that it’s time to delete. The app itself is pretty good. Wide selection. Annoyingly doesn’t have a skip intro feature and when playing picture in picture it won’t immediately load next episode but these are small things. Most recent update has screwed the pooch. Instantly crashes as soon as you open it. Have tried power cycling, deleting app and reinstalling. Please fix. Kind of annoying that subscription apps often take a long time to fix these things (looking at you HBO) but don’t give any refund on their monthly charges. A few days is understandable but it should extend your next billing date. Paying for an unusable service, especially when stuck in isolation with limited options for entertainment is not good.

Updates. Why do the updates have bells and whistles but no improvement in functionality? Now when I look at something to possibly add to my queue, when I return to the previous screen it starts waaaaaay at the beginning and I have to scroll again!! What a waste of time!!!!!! The queue doesn't update properly! I really hate to look at what I don't want to. The old version was much better. There needs to be a "revert to previous version" button for all of the updates on programs. Since when is it ok to make people use substandard products that you have to pay for? And, I will NEVER buy anything advertised because the commercials are sooooooooo obnoxious. The same commercial every time. No thanks! The November 22, 2014 update is worse now than before. And, it buffers all the time. The only streaming app worse than this is paramount plus.

Make it easier to switch plans!. as a new user i of course decided to go with the cheaper plan to “try it out”. i haven’t even gotten thru the first episode of the show i was dying to watch and i’m already so over all of these ads! the option to upgrade isn’t even on the app.. i had to go log in on the web which again requires way more clicks than necessary.. although after reading reviews i guess it’s a good thing it’s not so easy because apparently you have to wait until your current subscription is cancelled which completes a month later!??? OMG! you’d think you would want to make your new subscribers experience the best.. again you should make it easier to upgrade or start everyone out with the BEST plan first.. and then give them the option to switch once the free trial ends.. just saying.. i don’t plan to cancel right away.. i guess i’ll leave it on during the free trial and use the app if i’m that desperate to watch an episode i’m willing to sit thru the same ads over and over every few minutes while trying to get thru an episode. best believe my subscription will be cancelled as soon as the trial is up! so disappointing! ugh!

Don’t use it!!! Worst app and customer service. Had to pick a star but they deserve zero!! Don’t waste your money! I used them 6 years ago and could never get anything to constantly play, ended up dropping their service. Decided to try them again now hoping maybe things would be better many years later and once again on two different internet providers we could not watch anything just within the week of signing up. Everything else plays just fine on our Roku and Fire stick, even live TV has no issue. Called customer service and they refused to refund me my 70 bucks because it shows on their end it has been at 100%. Interesting because all we get is “sorry not available at this time” and kicks you out constantly. Still they refused to help. Will never use them again. Learned my lesson after such poor customer service. Luckily there are way better provider apps!!!

Bugs. Every time I try to open the app on my phone, it says "something is wrong: try again." Extremely frustrating. I've tried reinstalling and updating it, and it's the same problem. It won't work. Update: the previous problem has gone away, but with the new update, I accidentally fast forward my show probably about ten times in each sitting somehow. Its extremely easy to do. I end up watching extra commercials because of this, and then when I try to find my spot again, I have to sit through a second set of commercials if I click multiple times looking for the right scene. It adds a LOT of commercials to my viewing time. I also have similar concerns to others reviews, as it used to be easy to find my shows and find new things I'd be interested in, but now it's not as intuitive, and it's more difficult to quickly find things.

It’s awesome but has some cons. Ok this app is amazing but here are some cons a lot of the time when I press on the app it just turns off and I tried powering off my phone two times it still didn’t work :( and it sometimes turns off while I’m trying to watch a show and when I go back on it. It also rewinds a bit :(also it needs to add season 2 of 911 :( because if you try watching season 3 with out watching season 2 you will be completely lost:( also sometimes it puts me on a different spot on a episode of a show than where I was on that episode :( but I do like all the variety of shows and movies it has :) although I talked a lot of bad on this review it overall is a amazing at app! And these are just my opinions :3

Please fix..... I don’t write reviews but enough is enough. Please back to the old interface but this one is horrible. FF/RW, HORRIBLE! Whenever I “start watching” a show like Will and Grace, I’ll watch two or three episode and I’ll close the app. When I go back in to pick up where I left off, not only is the show not at the top of my stuff (it’s at the bottom) but it doesn’t save my progress, so I don’t know with episode to start with... The updates are ruining this app... The app was working fine until y’all started “fixing” it. AND ANOTHER THING, sometimes the next episode won’t play unless I come completely out of the show and go back in and then I have to remember which episode it is... I see all of these reviews that go back months, why are we still having these same issues months later... I like your service but will not continue to pay for a service that has been jinky for MONTHS, not days or weeks but MONTHS. PLEASE DO BETTER!

Autoplay Not Working!!!. Autoplay is not working and randomly stops one episode in while other times the thing will play all night long when I fall asleep. The app is poorly designed and simple features like the ability to skip credit scenes and title sequences are missing yet the price is still the same NFlix. Why do you have to pay for a headache? How can this company not build an app properly? You have billions of dollars. Last time I canceled because the app was falling apart and riddled with error messages that even uninstalling couldn’t fix on my phone and tablet. And they have no appropriate customer service. You guys have no respect for your customers and that’s why you’ll always be second or simply lose them over time to better streaming services. Maybe I’ll just cancel every other month and keep signing up for the free first month option so I can cheat you as much as you’re cheating me.

Can’t Make An Account with different emails. I have to ask why I can’t use a free trial with different emails that have varied information. Every time I try I just get a notification on me phone that states that I already have an account that links to my Apple ID, would I like to log in? When I select no, to start a new one for a different email so it can experience a free trial, the app denies me from moving any further in the process. Ultimately, preventing me from watching again without paying money. I get Disney seized the rights for FX to stream their OWN shows on THEIR platform, but the fact that I can’t create different free trials with different emails without being forced into the same one is ridiculous. Great App, but forces money out of your pocket after a month just because the Apple ID is the same. Smh

Not showing watched. Many times, I finish an episode with less than a minute left and when I go back to the menu, it says resume episode, then restarts episode. I don’t want to watch it again, I just watched it. I want it to show that I watched it so it is not sitting at the top of my stuff like it is new. Sometimes I will restart the episode, fast forward to the end, then wait for the time to get down to 0 so that hopefully the episode will show as watched, which it doesn’t always do. There are currently 3 shows that I have completely watched, but say resume episode and I don’t know how to get it to acknowledge that I watched it. There must be an easier way! It’s bothersome.

Apply TV app is horrendous. I honestly don’t even know where to begin. All the complaints below apply to the Apple TV app as that is the primary way I use it, and I can’t speak to the iPhone / iPad versions. Half the time clicking on a title does nothing, especially in the “up next” pop up when an episode ends, and if you let the timer run down it replays the episode you just watched instead of skipping to the next one. Half the time when you do play an episode either the sound is a second off from the video (only fix is force quitting the app). Also have had the video appear not the play, click to play again and now two streams of the same episode are playing (one on top of the other) resulting in double audio - and the only fix is force quitting the app. I swear half of the time I use this app it is force quitting the app and waiting for it to reload. Navigation is a HOT mess. Where are the simple badges saying which shows have a new episode available? Why is the “my stuff” category not available to filter by new episodes available? Why do I need to wait for the app to “fetch new recommendations” every single time I open it up? I love love LOVE hulu’s service, and in the past the app has been very solid. However once this redesign rolled out I feel like the quality / reliability of the app has greatly suffered.

Need to make it more compatible with iPhone X. Besides everyone’s concern about the sensitivity on the rewind and forward, which I agree is soooooo frustrating, I just got the iPhone X and some shows don’t take up the full screen of the phone which is the whole point of the phone! The shows need to expand through the whole screen. also it would be very helpful if they could but the time as well on the iPhone 7 when you tapped of the screen you would see the time come down and now I have to click out of the app to see what time it is and that’s frustrating as well... I know it’s a process and you’re trying i hope my suggestions help!

Awful. The old app worked fine but was very clunky. I didn't think an update could be this bad. This app is difficult to use and is not intuitive at all. Oftentimes it errors out when playing the next episode of a show, forcing me to grab a device and attempt to play it again. I really just cannot stand the way this app is organized now. Sure, it's pretty, but the "Home" tab lists a SINGLE show. Across an entire iPad display. A complete waste of screen real estate. "My stuff" tab shows a list of your shows that you enjoy watching but it is organized in a complete non-categorical way. Very frustrating. Finally when you search for a show you want to watch (the best and easiest way to find anything, given this app's poor design), you have two small boxes with the last episode you left off on, and the latest episode. Once again, poor use of a huge iPad screen. You have tabs at the top for "episodes", but unless you know better, "seasons" is buried inside there as a small link. Constructive feedback? I suppose change "episodes" into a "seasons" button or something of the sort. However this won't change the overall design of the app being so poor and the waste of screen space. The old app was very old and also very clunky, BUT at least it was laid out logically.

Good! But, a few issues. I do not like the user interface set up all that much. For example, let’s say I just watched a series. I close app then re-open it at a later time. I expect to have that series somewhere on my dashboard but it’s not. In fact I typically have to retype it in the search box just to find it again. Second, I’m watching a show and I click to go to new episode; however, the GUI is gone! No play, backwards, forward, pause, scroll bar...nothing but an “X.” I contacted IT support and they didn’t know anything. So, it’s typical that I’ll have to refresh the page or log out and log in five to fifteen times over a few hours. But, in the end for the price and volume of shows it’s worth putting up with the glitches.

Random issues with no pattern. So I need subtitles, but sometimes when a commercial break is over the subtitles will randomly stop working. Now the audio cut out completely for no apparent reason. I think it’s also very irritating when I open or slide into my notifications screen or quick settings screen that the show I’m watching won’t play in the background, and just pause automatically. Furthermore, it is astonishingly annoying how if I slightly move or tap something on screen that my video will slide away. I feel like there should be an arrow specifically for minimizing the video, instead of relying on everything to slide. Lastly, if I slide out of a video for just a few seconds, I shouldn’t have to watch 90 seconds of commercials all over again to just continue my show. Please resolve these issues, thank you.

Some things that just make me alittle mad. So I decided to watch on this. When I started the episode of a show I watched I noticed there were three add things all of them were 1 minute and 30 seconds long not to mention the ad before the show began which was 30 seconds long that’s a total of five minutes worth of ads then I don’t even care about can you just have 30 second ads I’m kind of tired of it and I feel like I’m watching just add instead of the show also I do you watch anime but some of my favorite animes aren’t really on there some are from crunchy roll but every time I check there’s only two animes from Crunchyroll and I’m other animes I try to watch don’t have dubs like one of my favorites hanagai. These are just small changes I want

Giving 5 because many fixes have been done. Firstly, it’s 5 to try and help weigh in against all the people who complained about losing HDMI because it’s been fixed. And on that note thank god the HDMI lightning connector works again. There was no way I was gonna budge and spring for additional technology when I’m broke A/F all the time. The overall selection seems to be getting more bunk. Maybe start adopting shows like The Last Man on Earth as Netflix has done with Arrested Development for example. That being said I still find shows on here worth the amount I pay for the subscription. Smoothish transitions from episode to episode. I think the forward / backward 10 and 30 seconds is odd I’m used to the 1:1 that most video players use. Lastly I think the selection screen - at least on a mobile device - is too large and requires too much scrolling. Again comparing to Netflix, while browsing you can view several show title cards and multiple categories at once. For the regular streamers that’s great when I’m trying to just generally peruse highlighted shows.

Bad to worse. Live tv I’d subscribe to in a heartbeat but can’t because my son who’s on my plan goes to college 80 miles away. If I get live tv (when I did) it locked him out because he’s not in the same house or town. You can easily see that he started out on the plan on the same device in the same town and can’t use it once he leaves back to school. We’re not even far enough away from each other that we’d have different programs other local towns. We’re not both going to pay $70 with him in college and me as a single mom. Figure it out. IP addresses. It can’t be that hard. Lots of UI problems lately that make this app worse than it’s been. Roku and iPhone you either can’t remove continue watching or you can and they keep coming back… months after you watched the.

Horrible streaming/improved but still issues. $15 a month for no commercials. Yet my video stops multiple times to tell me, Sorry, an error has occurred while streaming this video. We apologize for any inconvenience. Yeah thanks. It also doesn't resume videos from all devices. Save your money and skip unless you're desperate. Update: streaming is better now but there are still issues with the app. It’s constantly disconnecting from my phone. It still plays on the tv but I have reconnected to pause etc. other super annoying thing, once you’re show is finished it auto plays suggested shows not in your queue. This is super annoying when it’s a show you don’t want to watch. It used to skip to something in your queue which makes sense. Suggested shows should be somewhere else.

The worst app I’ve ever used. Seriously where do I start with how garbage this app is both on my computer and phone. I honestly hate this app with a passion which is the only reason I’m writing this review. It will start playing randomly when you leave it open. Just logged me off for no reason whatsoever. Terrible interface when selecting shows or trying to find the show you were previously watching. I guess you have to log in ever 30 days just to still get live TV WHICH IS SOMETHING I PAY EXTRA FOR ALREADY. There is no way to switch between live shows like just pressing a ‘last’ button. If you skip around a show because the app sometimes doesn’t save your place it’ll make you rewatch commercials you just saw. Truly one of the worst apps I’ve ever used which is hard to do. Especially coming from such a major company. If I didn’t pay for the service I would get rid of it in a heartbeat.

Great live TV, not the best navigation. It’s a bulky interface that requires too many clicks to achieve what your looking for. This has been a great alternative to Cable, and we’re happy with the quality of streaming, but the guide and actions are not very simple. Would be easier if there are options to go straight to live TV at startup rather than having to go from main menu every time. Better sorting options for the guide would be nice too, like maybe having a favorites sections. They have “news” and “sports” channel guides, but often times they leave off channels that it might not deem in those categories, even if it is. Just needs a little refining for a better experience, but overall it’s better than paying for cable.

Virtually Unusable. How on earth did this app get 4.6 stars? Maybe it’s just terrible for those of us on an iPad, but it is virtually unusable. Where to begin? Probably 2/3 of the time, the app won’t even start. Sometimes it just stays as a dark screen, but sometimes I’ll get the splash screen with nothing after that. It’ll just stay like that as long as I leave it. The other 1/3 of the time, I’ll get to choose something to watch, but half of those times I’ll get no audio. None. The video streams fine but there is no audio. I’ve tried restarting the app, restarting the iPad - nope, it just won’t play. This app has been around long enough that these shouldn’t be issues anymore. I feel like I’m using a beta version. No, actually it feels like an alpha version. I wouldn’t recommend paying for this service because for the most part it’s unwatchable.

Disorganized. The constant changes to the layout just screams lack of confidence in the product and makes it very difficult to navigate. Please do something about the subpar subtitles do you actually watch and listen to the stories or are you just writing what you want. Fast forwarding and rewinding needs to be adjusted there’s nothing more frustrating then that suspenseful reveal that rolls right into commercial and you try to roll back a few seconds but have to watch another set of commercials. Very frustrating when you have to stop your device mid show only to come back to your place not saved and your going back and forth in the time line to find your spot only to have to watch two to three sets of commercials (I get that this service includes commercials but it’s the navigation that’s frustrating). Don’t be racist the stereotyping and picking what commercials you think I should watch is insulting.

As an avid user, here are two suggestions that would make a huge difference for me.. 1. Add a customizable “skip intro” button for all tv shows/series. Every tv show series’ main page needs an option to set a custom amount of time for the skip feature and also allow adjustments to the button prompt time window. This also would apply for the “play next” button. You can avoid episodes playing the next one too soon for shows with small bits at the end. You should also be able to have multiple segments for shows that play early end credits with scenes after. 2. PLEASE MAKE A CHANGE TO YOUR ADD ON CONTENT! Right now, trying to navigate HBO Max is a nightmare and needs an overhaul ASAP.

It WAS a good app!. I’ve been using it for a year now and had no major issues. I pay for the Hulu+live tv and like how I can watch tv on my phone, laptop or actual tv. (Very handy during football and basketball season) Thought ever since it got updated (Sept. 2019) it’s been having major issues. The app completely exits from itself in the middle of a show, or the screen would go dark with a loading bar. Only to pop back up rewinding itself 20 seconds, playing then going dark again. Getting stuck in an annoying endless loop. I really like the app but if that is is the kind of service I’m going to keep having, especially paying $45/month. I might as well go back to my satellite provider. Now I don’t want to sound like I’m ranting but I ACTUALLY like this app and if it doesn’t improve soon, I’m going to have to part ways with it. So for now enjoy the 2 STARS.

Goodnuf, but want more.. I like the new layout. It’s easy to see him swipe through things. That said I don’t coming to contact with things that are outside the normal suggestions as often. That’s both good and bad, because I’m not exposed to some of what’s available Biggest concern is that after I’m done playing something the next thing auto plays and adds itself to my keep watching list. There are four things show up on my keep watching list that I don’t even want. I have to keep removing them, and they track my progress. This is a real issue because I’ve never watched these things on my own, and they usually play if I fell asleep or left it running for some reason

Good app, one complaint. I like the app most of the time. It works well, streams well, and is fairly intuitive. My complaint is that in the last few updates, it has gone back and forth in allowing me to “watch” shows minimized while doing other things, and then not. The same app has pretty much always allowed it on my iPad. I enjoy that option. It is nice to multitask (i.e. check weather, reply to texts, read an email) without having to interrupt my live viewing experience. Unfortunately, it has come and gone repeatedly with the last few updates. If everyone doesn’t like it, at least make it an option in the settings/profile for the app.

Anyone else disappointed with new update?. Just curious if anybody else is having trouble with the new update. There have been many times that I’ve been watching a show on my iPad, then all of a sudden it stops and an error message comes up saying I can’t watch the show in my region. I’m in the United States people! And then I try other shows and it gives me that same message. I’m also having trouble with the show playing and then all of a sudden it jumps back to the very beginning where the television network logo comes up and then it will jump back to where I was watching. I don’t know what’s going on. It was working fine prior to this update

Shows are Great, App is Terrible. Generally good shows (content and quality) so no complaints there but I don’t watch as much as I likely would if the app was better. There’s no way to easily clear Continue Watching and even if you think you do (scrolling to the end of the last episode) and the show disappears for a time, it will always come back. There’s also a lag in the time you click on an option and when it responds so I wind up clicking twice, the app registers it as two and now I’ve started watching a show I didn’t intend to and…it stays in the Continue Watching queue. Also not as user friendly as other apps in terms of diving into the genres. For example, if you want to watch a documentary, you need to go to Movies or TV first rather than having a dedicated section.

Five stars EXCEPT. Five stars...Except the latest update. instead of the movie just automatically switching to horizontal view when you push play, it stays small and brings up the list of shows you’ve watched previously/are in the middle of. Why would I want to see those while I’m watching a show? They take up over half the screen.... It’s stupid and annoying that I have to click a million buttons just to get it to full screen. And half the time the full screen button doesn’t work cause it’s so small the heat from my finger bypasses it and just makes the play/pause/full screen options disappear—so then I have to tap it again.

Nauseous. I cannot believe how bad this streaming app has become! Have to watch things over and over again, because it freezes, and when it comes back, it doesn’t remember where you were. Constant crashing and freezing!! I don’t know why I still use this app? I have always been a fan, but this is getting ridiculous! You guys have got to send an update if you want to keep your customers happy! All I can do is shake my head and go use another app! You guys will never get a better rating from me again, until you send an update to correct this! UGH!!! As of 3/7/22 I am still experiencing pretty the same thing as before. I see you guys have not done anything to fix the problem! Constantly seeing we are having problems with this title right now. Makes me sick! You guys will not get a better rating from me with this faulty product.

Lots of content — buggy. Since your newest update, I have to periodically delete and re-download the app. Otherwise the app will not let me search or watch anything I haven’t downloaded. It behaves as though I don’t have an internet connection, though I clearly do and all of my other streaming services work fine. It works fine after deleting and re-downloading the app. Logging out and signing back in, as well as rebooting my device, doesn’t work. Annoying having to delete and redownload several times a day (don’t judge — I’m on vacation and binging a lot of anime). Good job on the amount of anime you have as well as offering subtitled and dubbed versions of each episode. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother dealing with issues!

Changes that take away from the experience.. Hi, I’ve waited on making this review (for a year) just observing. However after some updates of bug fixes, there are few changes that can be looked at. A:) It seems to be some trouble to watching a show or movie on full screen mode. The feature itself is inconsistent. You would have to change your setting on your display to watch full screen. B:) With a steady connection, the app will produce a error message, saying unable to connect. Forcing me to redownload the app. After trying and refreshing many times. C:) Trying to rewind or move forward when streaming a specific show. It somehow freezes or starts the episode all over again. D:) when rewinding it plays the advertisements all over again. Now I know money is involved however it takes away wanting to watch when it doubles/triples the Ad intake.

Can’t play in background. I’m not going to say the new update is terrible because I honestly don’t think it is. I however have been annoyed at the fact that the tv shows can not be played in the background on the device. Normally people will listen to music as they use their device. However, for me that is tv shows. Because I have watched this particular show so much I don’t need to physically see it anymore, I have it playing in the background. Like another reviewer said, no one should be expected to stay glued to a show for an extended amount of time. That user wanted PIP and his PIP was revived. Last night even I was able to play in the background starting Saturday the 18th and ending the 19th. Please bring this back or install it if what I was experiencing was a bug. Thank you for you time.

What the hell. So, I’m one of those people that likes to rewind on my favorite scene. So, I loved it when more streaming services added the fast forward and rewind ten seconds buttons. However, is there any reason that they need to be in the middle of the screen blocking everything? Does the screen need to be dimmed when it does this? Short answer. NO. What worse is when when your pausing or using the 10sec but and hit anywhere else on the screen, either to close the dimming or by accident, the show will skip to wherever you touched. Dudes that’s what the bar at the bottom is for. You tried to make something more convenient and instead made it aggravating as hell. Literally just had the show start over twice because of this idiotic feature and I wouldn’t let me skip the tv shows channel thing that before. So, I ended up watching it three times. Seriously, not useful at all.

News subscriber. Just switched from sling last weekend so my rating is based on limited experience... So far I’ve found navigating the apps (on my fire stick and the iOS mobile app) to be cumbersome. The live tv controls are nothing like any cable, satellite, or other streaming tv options I have used... the guide is not good and only has next episodes as far future viewing so you have to search if you looking to record something. And going in and out of the guide and watching live tv is nothing short of frustrating to this point. I’m sure it will get easier with repetition but really... my wife will never have it down. And then there’s the no AMC or Paramount channels. The good thing is I can cancel at any time and there is a lot of content so hopefully they can improve the TV guide soon!

It’s a bit tricky with the free trials but overall a quality product. They have their own shows and a couple of movies I might have bought a ticket for when I was younger. I have a gripe though I’d like to see get fixed. The second time I came around to it after using their free trial months before it looked like I could get another one. I would have went with the less expensive of the two options if that wasn’t there. I’d like to see them get a little something for their trouble so I wouldn’t have minded throwing a couple dollars their way but my God man that was a tricky set up. I literally clicked on a sign that said thirty days free seconds before I got hit up with the twelve bucks on my Apple Card.

Needs a fix but good. I love the app. Easy interface with a great selection but, commercials please fix them, I’m okay with the breaks and it makes sense but why another set of commercials just because I rewinded it 10 seconds? It doesn’t make sense, it should skip passed them since I already watched them I shouldn’t be penalized for wanting to replay a part of the show. Is there a wider variety of commercials also? I seem to always get the same ones. Another thing that really really needs fixing is the buffering icon in the middle of the screen when watching on my laptop, if I so as rewind a few seconds back it will stay in the middle of the screen and my only option to get rid of it is to reload the page, not only does that not continue where I left off but it’s could also be susceptible to ANOTHER COMMERCIAL BREAK. Please fix

UI suggestions..... I can’t say anything about commercials and switching plans because I already have the Ad free version and I have live tv in other means, but, during playback, PLEASE... Make the swipe to rewind/fast forward inactive until one swipes up enough first, or some other gesture to reduce unintentional swipes. I can’t tell you how many times I mess up the playback position while trying to pick up my one iPad without a case or cover because I tap the screen edge then bump the slider significantly. Make the video not pause when going from Picture in Picture back to full screen if it’s already playing. The whole point of going full screen is to continue viewing on the full screen. I know it can be done...competitor apps do it.

Inconsistency. There is this odd occurrence whenever I use this app and I usually run into a few problems: 1) Sometimes the next episode doesn’t play. It fails to load even if I am connected to the internet, am the only one watching, and have it all paid for. 2) Sometimes, even with good connection, the app doesn’t load up anything. It’ll open but every single tab says there is nothing to see here. 3) In the same vein as failure to load following episodes, there are times where I can’t even watch a completely different show. I could let the inconsistency of following episodes in a series fail to load slide, only a small bit though, but, when I can’t watch anything else for some reason? All of a sudden nothing is watchable? In closing, either shows don’t load or the entire app doesn’t work properly. Inconsistency, sometimes it works really well and then the other half of the time it doesn’t work at all. I have deleted and reinstalled, I have turned off and restarted my phone, I have closed and restarted the app but it still has the same problem. I just end up not watching anything for a bit and do something else; which is great, although, if getting me to do something else was the goal, why pay for an inconsistent service at all?

WORST STREAMING APP. The only reason I subscribed was because they were the only ones with certain movies and shows I like. However they are crooks who just want more money wherever they can get. I already have other streaming subscriptions so I can’t afford anything other than the cheap version with ads. The ads are super loud and make me jump out of my skin every time. They always last like 2 minutes and all the ads on here are super obnoxious. Then when I go to watch a bunch of shows or movies it tells me I need a premium showtime subscription. I might as well just watch cable TV for free because this is the same thing maybe worse except I’m paying for it. There is no good original content and this app is only useful for select shows and movies that Netflix and HBO don’t have. Not worth it AT ALL. Canceling my subscription because this is bull.

Better mobile experience than on home TV. The mobile app is pretty good. Navigation is thoughtful and fairly well-organized. The mobile app also allows you to immediately press an icon in the center of the screen to go straight to the live broadcast instead of starting at the beginning for shows in your recording list. For some strange reason, that button is missing in the Fire tv version of the app. As a result, I have to manually hold the right button to fast forward to get to the live stream. Annoying, and particularly confusing for my elderly relatives who wonder why the show is not live and on a delay. This needs to be more like navigating and consuming on a cable provider (can’t believe I just said that).

You Really Need To Let People Take Screenshots. Obviously whoever added the feature which makes the screen completely black every time you take a screenshot has little to no experience with the internet. No content pirate has ever thought “ah, yes, i will capture this movie frame by frame and then splice these frames together, then record the audio separately and dub it over my newly spliced video and hope it syncs up”. That’s ludicrous. The inability to take screenshots not only serves no purpose for the actual creators of the movies or TV shows, it’s also a great hinderance to people who produce content like fanart and fan theories who would typically use such screenshots as references. By not allowing screenshots, you are actually turning legitimate customers of your content towards illegal streaming sites because This Is The Only Way To Take Screenshots Of Our Favourite Shows And Movies. No one wins. It’s frankly kind of bizarre that anyone ever thought this was a good idea.

Where are all the seasons at???. I'm very disappointed with the fact that almost all the shows you have never finish the show. They're always missing seasons unless it's a 1/2 season show! This is very dumb not only because we cannot finish our show BUT shouldn't all those ads you put in the middle of our shows make you enough money to give us a full series??!!!! This is very annoying. For example one of my shows had to end on an episode where there is still so much story to be told, but I could not experience this show because of this terrible idea. This is ABSOLUETLY outrageous considering we're supposed to be able to "catch up on all our favorite shows". This slogan is a HUGE LIE. If you want an app where you can stop watching in the middle of a plot on a show BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T SPEND SOME OF ALL THAT MONEY THEY MAKE GIVING US SOME GOSH DARN ENDINGS TO FINISH OUR SHOWS!!!!!😡

Terrible forward and rewind functionality. The latest update rolled out an upgrade to the forward and rewind tool. On the surface it seems like a lot of fun and simple to use, but in practice the new tool is a nightmare. It is incredibly easy to accidentally rewind to the beginning or end of the show simply by tapping the screen when it's gone dark or trying to pull up details on the next episode. You can correct your mistake either because it immediately sends you back into a 60-90 second commercial break that locks the forward / rewind tool. Once you've finished the break and can go back to your place, you have to watch another 60-90 second commercial break to return to your original placement. It's so incredibly frustrating I gave up and went back to the desktop experience. This tool needs more testing and revisions so it's not so easy to trigger.

I like the app but it needs a little work. First of all the app is great and I love watching my shows on here ,,but a couple things ,,1 is the adds are way to long their like almost 2 minutes long at one point and you can’t skip them ,,and another thing is ok so I had just finished watching a 1 1/2 minute long ad and when I starting watching my show again I accidentally skipped it back a little bit ,,and then I had to watch the whole ad over again ,,so once again I love the app just needs some help with the ads,, oh and again it’s really easy to press onto a different show ,,and whenever you go to watch it again after having watched it a couple minutes before ,,it we be like 3 minutes before where you stopped

Like ugh ( pls read). So I was scrolling through Disney+ on my ipad and I wanted to watch the movie holes because my friends watched it and we read a book about it so yeah. So when I searched up the word holes it didn’t pop up but noted I did see the word at the bottom where it’s like some shows won’t pop up and it updated and it still doesn’t work so I need a little bit more help. I tried using on my tv same thing happened it took forever to load and it annoyed me. Then I found the movie holes I clicked on it took about 10 seconds until it kicked me off the app please I need help with this I do not know what’s going on I haven’t watched Disney+ in a while but this shouldn’t be happening. Is this a glitch or something. (please respond back when you have the time thank you for reading and understanding :D.)

Crashes and requires reinstalling after every updates. I always know when there has been an update because the app never fails to crash mid-episode after one. The worse part is that it usually crashes right after a commercial break so when I get the app back up and running and resume the episode I have to sit through another minute of the same commercials. Simply closing the app after an update does not fix the problem. It requires me to delete the app from my device and reinstall. It’s ridiculously inconvenient and annoying. Please fix this. If I didn’t get such a good deal on my subscription, I probably would have cancelled it because of this issue. Besides this inconvenience every two weeks to a month the app does what it needs to do and is easy to navigate.

2 Must Haves. Overall, the app is good and I don’t encounter bugs. To have just 2 needs: 1. Continuous/rolling scroll of the live guide. It’s incredibly annoying to start on a mid-alphabet channel and have to scroll up then double back to scroll down. If I get to the end of the alphabet, simply allow the guide to keep going and get to the top of the alphabet without a hard stop at the end. Vice versa. This is something I’ve needed for years that gets overlooked. 2. I HATE the latest update that starts on the guide and live TV on my phone and tablet. It’s an extra tap to get to the Home Screen. I never start with live TV. Coupled with the ask above, this is a horrible feature update. This feels like a a feature built for users without user feedback ahead of time.

Swipe to fast forward has got to gooooo. I'm the kind of person who touches their screen constantly while watching a show, whether it's to check the time or to wipe a smudge or see how far along in the show I am. With your "swipe anywhere on the screen to go forward or backwards" function, I am constantly being forced to watch and rewatch extra ads, and to try and re-find wherever I was in the show before my accidental swipe. Please consider reinstating the setup with the bar at the bottom that had the button where I had to be very intentional with my tapping in order to change location in the playing time. This will make using your platform much easier on my mental health, and on my phone that gets hurled across the room every time I shoot forward 10 minutes in an episode of The Mindy Project and get stuck with an extra 120 seconds of Chevy commercials. I beg you.

Incredibly scammy, incredibly buggy. NEVER entrust your credit card to this company. First they say you can subscribe through in-app purchase (giving you Apple’s customer protections). A lie. That gives an error 100% of the time on any device. So you give them your credit card directly. They say you can cancel you free trial any time and still have access for the remainder of the month. A lie. You lose all access immediately. And they make you jump through a million hoops to even attempt to cancel. Want to play to your TV? Good luck—HDMI output from iPhone is badly broken. And what if you try to manage your account? Can’t be done through the app. So, go to the website. Nope, can’t log in there—using iCloud Private Relay doesn’t just fail, it PERMANENTLY locks your account on that device even if to turn off the relay and clear cache/cookies. You literally have to find a different computer to even manage your account. What if you want to delete your payment info now? Nope. You can’t even access basic account management unless you buy a month first. Want customer service? Ha ha, not happening. You can ONLY contact them if you are already signed in. I’m going to have to contact my credit card company, because Hulu’s systems are so buggy there is no telling what will happen.

Well made app for the most part. For a mobile app it’s done quite nice, in my opinion easier and quicker to use than something like the mobile Netflix app. However there are some strange caveats. The app sometimes whites out (on my home screen the app will be there but the logo disappears and I can’t even load the app by clicking on it). This usually resolves itself after a bit. This is the only app I have that exhibits this behavior. Additionally, if you’re watching a show and lose internet connection, especially during an ad, the episode might start from the beginning when you get back to a good connection. It’s happened to me once and I’ll see if it happens again. Other than those two bugs it’s been a pretty smooth experience.

Shows watched. For some reason, several of my shows display episodes unwatched since the first season, first episode even if I’m all caught up. I’ve tried re-watching the last/most current episode of each show to change the status to “all caught up” and I’m still not getting that status. It would be helpful if I could check which episodes I’ve already seen or check that I’m all caught up so I don’t have to try and re-watch episodes and I can be notified of new episodes. It’s really annoying to have to re-watch episodes or even trying to fast forward through episodes, but having to watch commercials to fast forward. Please don’t make me re-watch all episodes from the series premiere just to show that I’m all caught up. Please fix.

So annoying, worst streaming service ever. I originally downloaded the app because there was a TV series I wanted to watch, full house after finishing that I started watching total Bella’s and total Divas. With total Bella’s it was pretty good not many malfunctions but when I got to total divas it all went wrong, there are was too many ads. At the beginning of the show there weren’t many ads but as I went along there was an ad after EVERY SCENE and it was the most annoying thing because I can’t just enjoy my show for 5 minutes. The most annoying part about this app is I will be watching something one minute and the next it time lapses my show and SKIPS A WHOLE 10 MINUTES! Then it goes to an ad and when I go back to watch it, I have to watch the ad again. They really need to work on this app because it was designed TERRIBLY. Bad app.
