Useless App. I suppose if you know your Wegmans shopping number this app might be useful. As I don’t it is pretty useless. The app constantly prompts you to log in using your Wegmans shopper ID, which is frustrating on many levels. That ID number is only on your physical Wegmans shoppers card apparently , which I immediately tossed as I knew I’d just use my phone number. That number doesn’t appear on receipts despite it knowing who you are once you input your phone number so the only way I can use the app in a non-preview mode is to call a 800 number...because people love calling 800 numbers when obviously, at minimum, some at customer service should be able to get it for me if not the cashier. As I pretty only used the app to help me locate esoteric ingredients, it is extremely frustrating to have to bypass various sign in screens to just figure out where a product might be. I’m trying to give you my money Wegmans. Why are you making this so difficult? I’ve starting using Instacart to determine if a product even exist in the store instead of this stupid app.

Please stop deleting out of stock items!. I loved this app and always told people to download it and use it but with the recent updates this last year when an item goes out of stock it disappears from my In-Store List (I understand it needing to get changed out on the curbside pickup or delivery but not the In-store). This is not convenient when I use this app as my weekly grocery list. I had all members of my family download the app so they can add an item if my household needs it and they will pick any item (brand, style) as long as it gives the shopper an idea of what to get. For example: my list said Wegmans Fire Roasted Tomatoes, but that went out of stock and got deleted from my list. I could have gotten a different style or brand but since it was no longer on my list nothing was purchased. Please, if items go out of stock try a different method but don’t allow it to get deleted from my list or app. I don’t know if the answer is creating a new category that it gets moved to but can still remain on my list, such as “out of stock” instead of showing the aisle it should be in. This would allow the customer to see they still need an item so to either buy it another time when it’s in stock or to make a different selection while at the store but not forget about the item completely. Thank you for listening and adjusting this.

Stopped using the app. Like many other folks have already documented, this app is now completely useless. If it had always been so I would be less outraged, but it used to be one of the most useful and time saving features on my phone. Unfortunately there no longer seems to be a way to build a list for in store shopping, only for Instacart delivery which I don’t use. Also I can no longer add previously purchased items to my shopping list. When I try, it creates a new wish list every time instead of adding to a grocery list. And why is there a wish list anyway? What possible use does this feature have that the old app couldn’t easily accomodate? I also agree with the complaint that the item info takes up 1/3 of the screen and I can’t get the (+ item) thing to disappear. Ok people, I’m not using a computer at the store - I’m using my phone and you’ve now used up most of my screen for a feature I don’t need. I finally got fed up a few months ago and went back to keeping a list on my iPhone notes app. Sooooooo much easier and less frustrating. I’m only writing this review in the slim hope that someone from Wegmans will read it reverse this horrible decision.

Horrible. Wegmans what did you do?! I’ve been using the app since 2013 and it used to be the app that every other grocery store should aspire to be like!!! Not any more. The new layout is not user friendly at all. I have different lists for different times of the year since I tend to buy certain things around those times. I can’t update those lists or shop from those lists. I wanted to make a quick list for my husband running to the store for me and it is nearly impossible to do! It tells me I can create a new list and add items to it but when I add items it doesn’t go on the newly created list it reverts back to the original shopping list that transferred over which is not my usual list either. It took me almost an hour to get my store to change to the correct store so I could make my list because every time I would change it, it would revert back! Because this app is so horrible to use I will revert back to old school paper and pen lists and cross my fingers the app will be fixed soon. This update was 10 steps backwards to the way it was before! I hope you’re listening Wegmans because your users are complaining!

Worst update ever :(. This update is horrible. This is the first app review I’ve ever written, but I don’t know where else to submit my complaints. The new app takes forever to load, slowing down my shopping, when the thing I loved best about the old app was that it SPED UP my shopping. The fact that I can’t clear my list once everything is checked without pressing three buttons is ridiculous. I also used to be able to just swipe across an item on my iphone to delete it from my list and now that feature is also gone. I have to click all sorts of buttons to get rid of unwanted items. The my products section was such a huge time saver for building lists weekly. Now I have to scroll through literal PAGES of items to find what I want to add. I also really miss the clip all function in the coupon section. Having to check mark them individually is tedious at best. Lastly, when I have a huge list, it’s helpful to choose “delete selected items” to shorten things up and see what I missed. No surprise, that function is gone also. Almost everything I loved about the usability of this app has been removed. I am so shocked that a company so focused on the customer has put out such a poor product upgrade. I have a hard time believing any customer product testing was performed on this version. Please update your update!!!

New app update extremely disappointing. Used to use the old version all the time. Now it doesn’t seem to do what I need it to! So frustrating!!! Aisles and departments are not ordered the way the used to so I ended up walking out of the store without 2 items on my most recent trip because they were in a different spot in my list that was not logical in the set up of the store. Also cannot delete just selected items from the list, have to delete the whole list (so guess what those two items that I wasn’t able to buy just got deleted too!). Plus there doesn’t seem to be a way to search for an item and go through a list of your purchases of that item anymore for easy adding. I either have to scroll through everything I’ve recently purchased or scroll through all items associated with the one I want until I find it. Overall very disappointed. You shouldn’t be removing features making use more difficult with new app development, you should be adding for improved performance.

Almost perfect. This is my favorite grocery app, I love the cues on where to find an item in the store. But it could be better: 1. Every time the app updates, it logs you out and defaults to Fairfax, VA. Other apps don’t log me out when I update them. 2. There is no notes field to put requests when ordering curbside or delivery. So, for example, I never order from the deli when ordering delivery, because I can’t request very thin slices. 3. The coupon list slows products the coupon can be used for. But if you click on one of those products, say to see the ingredients, when you X out it takes you back to the main coupon list, not to the products for that one coupon. So, for example, if there’s a coupon for fresh juice, and you want to see the ingredients in the greens juice and the carrot medley juice, once you look at the greens juice you have to back out to the coupons, click on the juice coupon again, and then click the carrot juice. It’s just a few extra clicks, but it’s annoying. 4. The integration with Instacart is wonky.

New Update is not “better”. As others have said you can no longer filter products when making a list by just selecting the tab for “my products”. Something that was fast and easy to do now takes 3 times as long and don’t even try to do it when you are in the midst of shopping. Bring back this and the option to “delete selected items” instead of clearing the entire list. Or if you check it off at least have the checked item fall to the bottom of the list so it automatically shows the next item instead of having to repeatedly scroll down to find it. As others said if something is out of stock at least you can keep it on the list for the next time. It’s kind of annoying to have to individually “remove” each item as you shop and do it one by one instead of deleting selected items as we did in the old version. It would also be helpful to see the ability to add items from “frequently purchased” vs all of your products. No Wegmans I don’t need to add a cup of coffee to my shopping list!

👎. This app update is quite a disappointment!! It was so convenient before. Now, not so much. First off it’s too busy now. I don’t need all this extra clutter. Second, all my previous purchases disappeared, which was how I would build my new list. Third, while pushing a cart, holding my phone and grabbing items off the shelves all while trying not to take out other shoppers, the check box needs be larger. My lack of precision finger tapping in this moment keeps opening the items details, waisting valuable time. Then when I’m all done gathering the items that were in stock (because unfortunately but understandably, my store doesn’t always have everything on my list in stock) I would use the “clear checked items” option to clean up my list. Leaving the remaining items for next time. But now that option isn’t there. I can clear the whole list, but that’s not going to cut it. I’m hoping your app developers are like actually Wegmans employees that care about your customers, read all these repeated concerns and get a useful update to us ASAP!

Used to be good not now. I stopped using the app a while ago after the big update. Went back again hoping they’d finally listen to people and fix but still disappointing. 1) the list used to organize items by when you’d come across them in the store. It tries now but some are so wrong. 2) some items are totally in the wrong aisle. Garlic bread is listed in the beer shop?? 3) sharing your list used to be great. The name of the item would be there as well as the picture that’s in the app. This is great when you’re emailing it to somebody else who may not know what exactly the item looks like. Now it just lists the items and no text. I still don’t understand how such a great company who’s app was great to begin with decided to update it and downgrade features. It’s been a while and still no fixes is really disappointing. Another big frustration - my Wegmans now uses the scan app so I can scan items as I go. It’s great - but is a totally separate app. Wegman’s why would you not combine these 2?!? I don’t want to switch back and forth between the 2 to look at a list and scan. It needs to be integrated into 1 app.

They have some work to do.. I really like having this app. It’s great to be able to build my grocery list and have it sorted by aisle so I can just work my way through the store. There are a few things that I find annoying. The ordering of the grocery list, while mostly intuitive, does have some things in a strange order. But that I can deal with. I read through a lot of the latest reviews and just about all of them are negative. I agree with a lot of the points where the search function is not really all that helpful sometimes. I also would like to see a feature that lets you see all unchecked items on your list so you can make sure that you’ve gotten everything without having to scroll so much. The one complaint that I have that I have not seen in other reviews is that I periodically have items just disappear from my shopping list. I am guessing that it’s not really the app losing them, but rather me accidentally touching the trashcan icon on the item which removes it from the list. I am left-handed, and so hold my phone with my right hand, and I am more prone to accidentally touch the screen in the area where the trashcan icon is or change the quantity with my right thumb while scrolling. I would like to see a “lock” slider on the grocery list that only allows you to check/uncheck an item.

Deleted items drove me nuts!. I loved Wegmans stores! The first time I shopped, it was first 24hr supermarket I’ve ever been to. The overhead train, friendly staff, and numerous healthybrands was amazing. Over the past several years though, I had to move and now there is closer, and farther from me. But why I gave it one star is this app. My items in shopping lists were missing. I swore I boughy n brand of products there. Had I not discard the paper receipts, I would have saved much aggravation. But it was clear: Wegmans was deleting inventory, and it was also deleted from my previous shopping lists. Wegmans, IMHO, is no longer carrying brands I love. Instead, Wegmans is branding their own, and its not the same. It may be cheaper, but not better. I would give 4 stars for the app had not this happened. It helps find items and aisle in store, recipes, and easily use card scan. It does not save my password after app update(might be fixed). I reached out to Wegmans on this deletion of items but no satisfactory answer. If you are going to stop selling item, label it so, do delete from my purchase history!

New version is just bad. New version of the app is extremely slow to load. It used to be great to help you find a single item in the store, open quickly, input the item name, and you get told where it is in the store. The latest version takes nearly two minutes to load on an iPhone 11. The search also prioritizes Wegmans store brand products before other products the store carries. I searched for "short grain white rice", and the result I wanted was the 15th result. 11 of the results were for long grain white rice, a sushi rice, a short grain brown rice, then finally the short grain white rice I was looking for. Digital coupons are also difficult to use. The old version of the app had text descriptions of every coupon that came up in the list. The new version shows roughly 25 characters of the product name with no clue as to what the product is unless you wait for the image to load. Even then, you have to recognize the product from a poorly pixelated image. If you've never seen the item before, well, good luck trying to discover new items using the coupons. "Save $1.00 on / Wegmans family pac..." makes me actually have to go click into a coupon to see what product has a discount. Way too much white space on that screen where you could instead put more product information in. Hate to say it, but bring back your old app, or go download the Shop Rite app for ideas of what you could do with your app to make it function better.

New app is awful. Old app was great. The new version is awful. When adding things to your list, you get many options, but in the old version, what you purchased in the past would be at the top of the list. Now you have to scroll forever to find what you want. More often than not, end up just tapping on a similar item to remind myself that I need something like that. I searched for toilet wipes and one kind appeared, then 3 different kinds of olives!! Really?? Not interchangeable items!! This happens with many of my searches - totally unrelated items are at the top of the results. While in the store, constantly get pop-ups on the screen asking if I want to “undo” my entry. I hadn’t touched it or entered anything. That continues the entire time I am in produce and meats. Trying to clear my list at the end of my shopping trip is a pain. Trying to remember where to find that option is not easy. I usually end up just deleting all my items individually. The old app asked if you wanted to clear your list once everything was checked. Much more user friendly. Hate this new app! Please revert!!

Update is worse not better. I like to delete items in bulk to consolidate the list and see what’s left. I would check off items as I found them, then periodically select to edit and delete selected items. If the option to do this is there, it’s moved to a stupid place. I don’t want to edit the list and have to tap TWICE to delete every item. The check box is too small. The search function is terrible. It doesn’t search for similar terms or offer suggestions for misspellings. The sort-by-aisles does not work anymore. The aisles are definitely not optimized for travel around the store and the only other option is by department, which is worse. This update is awful. I beg you, seriously, please go back to the old version until you can afford to hire some decent developers, spend some time actually talking to your users, and get this embarrassment fixed. Incidentally, the website update isn’t much better than the app update. It’s still slow and the add button is in an awkward place. There were two improvements: the list, when I pop it in from the side, does disappear automatically so it’s no longer obstructing my view until I minimize it; and I don’t get a giant, intrusive image of every item every time my mouse passes over them.

The update needs fixed. I loved the old app. I’ve used this new app for the past couple weeks and I have the same issues keep popping up. Here are a few things wrong with this app. 1) once I created a list and I’m at the store shopping I go to click off the item once I put it in my cart & the darn check boxes are too small. I select the item and I get the additional information. It’s annoying having to deal with that while pushing a cart & dodging other shoppers. 2) I miss the option to clear my list once I have finished my shopping & checked off all items. When I go to make my next shopping list, it takes me awhile to figure out how to delete that list & start another. 3) the list I create isn’t organized like my store! This is the most annoying thing ever!!! I’ll follow the list & get to the end of the list & the end of the store & see there was something at the bottom of the list that is located in the front of the store. I’ve actually decided today not to go back & get the item due to the large amount of people in the store. I’ll stop & get the item somewhere else this week. I’m thinking next week I’ll just make my list on a piece of paper.

Disappointing update. I used to LOVE this app and would have given it 5 stars. It was so convenient to plan lists ahead and use while shopping in the store. However, the recent update has taken away the functionalities I found most useful. My biggest frustration is the loss of the “Delete selected items” option. I would do that as I shopped in the store, otherwise it’s easy to miss items higher up in my list that I would have gone back for, like in the dairy section. There are also often out of stock items that I couldn’t purchase this trip but would like to keep on the list for next time, and now there isn’t an easy way to do that without selecting each item manually to delete. The checkboxes have also gotten very tiny. I am a young, tech-savvy person with small fingers, but I kept accidentally clicking into an item instead of checking it off the list. My other favorite feature was the ability to filter by “My Products” when searching to see items I had purchased before. If none of these things are changed I will likely stop using the app, it has become much more inconvenient.

New Version of the App is Terrible. An embarrassment.. I love shopping at Wegmans. I loved the old app, it was great, fast and user friendly. This new version of the app is terrible, slow and very cumbersome. I imagine you paid a lot of money to get this new app developed but you should get your lawyers ready to sue the developer to get your money back because this is an embarrassment for the brand. Today I can’t even login into the app. My whole shopping list is there and I don’t have access to it. I tried going to your website in my web browser but that doesn’t work either. I see a lot of people on Twitter complaining with the same problem. I wish Apple would ban the app for failure to maintain a bare minimum of standards. The app doesn’t work at all on my phone today, it’s literally a waste of storage space. Clutter. This is the very first negative review I wrote about anything I’ve ever used. Please use this negative review as motivation to replace garbage with something useable. Bringing the old app back would be a 100% improvement over the current one. That’s a good place to start. Sometimes big projects like these just don’t work and you need to start from zero again.

Stop taking out of stock items out of cart!. I love my Wegmans app. Keeps everything I need to know in one place(shoppers card, grocery list, coupons, etc). It also shows me what is in stock and out of stock at specific stores and online instacart ordering is so easy. The one comment I need to make and I HOPE IT GETS HEARD - is to please stop taking items that are out of stock out of the cart. For many people, including myself, I use the Wegmans app multiple times a day or week and the app is where I keep my grocery list. And everytime something goes o it of stock during that week or month, the app just takes it out of my cart without saying it did or anything. So when I go to order my groceries or pick up my groceries, I always end up missing a couple items I knew I put on my list weeks ago, but they were taken out without my knowledge. Even just adding a note or graying out the item would be super helpful so I know I have to replace it. Simply deleting it without knowing screws up my grocery list and I do not want to switch back to using a notepad on my phone as I love using it through the Wegmans app!

Jan. 2020: They ruined a great app. I've generally found this app to be extremely useful. I've never experienced any login problems like other people describe, and I never get logged out of the app. I like the way it sorts the grocery list by aisle (it's not perfect—some items show up in the wrong location, but I know what those are in terms of stuff we usually buy), and I like that it remembers what brand I bought in the past. ———- Update on Jan. 19, 2020: Wegmans released a new version of this app this week. It’s useless. I used to create a new shopping list each week and add items to it. In the new app, it prepopulated my list with 35 items I had previously bought but don’t want to buy this time, and when I created a new list, it wouldn’t save items to my new list but rather to the 35-item list the programmers apparently want me to use. Plus there’s no "help" feature to tell me how to fix this. I wound up deleting all 35 items to start a new list. It also no longer lists my prior products, which is a pain—being able to tap "My Products" to see what I’d bought before and re-add it was very useful for items I don’t buy every week. That feature is gone and now you have to scroll past a bunch of stuff you probably do not want in an attempt to find what you need.

Major downgrade with latest update. The old app was easy to use - and easy on the eyes. The new app is visually cluttered and has lost important functions such as the ability to delete checked-off items on your shopping list (now every item is deleted unless you delete them one by one). A constant source of irritation is the search bar - if you hit “x” to clear the search, it takes your cursor out of the bar, and you have to re-tap the bar to start typing. This seems like a pretty basic thing that should have been caught in production. I do like that they made the notes feature on the shopping list bigger, as it was small and easy to miss before. But the trade-off apparently is that it’s harder to tap the buttons to increase or decrease the number of apples (for example) that you want to buy. I’m giving this two stars, one for the notes and one in memory of the old app. I hope Wegmans will read all the negative feedback and make some fixes, but I’m guessing this new version was designed to push certain products on the user and they’ll care more about that than what their customers want.

New version needs better design. Design of the new version is lacking. Annoying design elements include: 1. Search /add product function is not accessed by the large + button you see while in your shopping list; instead this adds a useless list note. 2. The search itself suggests/auto-fills specific brands/products when you try to search for something generic. Seems this may be intended to help you easily find products you’ve purchased before, but the result is annoying since getting a list of all similar products to compare options/ prices is more work. Prior design with toggle between “my” and “all” products on the results page was better. 3. The list checkboxes are impossibly small. It’s ridiculous trying to use them to mark off items while you’re shopping. 4. When you are done checking things off you’re not prompted to clear the list. It’s annoying because not only do you need to scroll back through your list to make sure you haven’t missed something, you also have to navigate several menu steps to be ready to create your next list. Bottom line: this app used to make shopping more convenient and efficient, now it’s design has cancelled out these effects and leaves users standing in the middle of the store aside trying to click tiny boxes and search for what the actually want. And we all know how much Wegmans needs more people blocking the aisles...

Hero to Zero. Wegmans-what did you do?!! I am a loyal wegmans shopper, and with my family of 6, I relied on your app to plan and shop weekly. Your new updated app is horrible, and I’m sad to say is the first thing I hate about Wegmans. The new layout is not user friendly at all. The colors and text are just off, but what’s really annoying is nearly every time I check an item off the list, it mistakenly sends me to the item description. In addition, when searching for an item, the old app had a feature that allowed you to easily switch back and forth from “my products” to all matches. So when I searched for chicken strips, I can easily find the ones that I buy, rather than sifting through 150 items that I don’t want. Now that feature is gone! Finally, I am absolutely heartbroken to find all my saved lists are gone. I saved lists for different weeks/menus, for various occasions where I prepare similar meals ( birthdays... Christmas...Thanksgiving...), my work lists, and lists for donation baskets. Your old app helped me juggle these home, work, and charity duties with ease, but now that feature & my lists are gone!!! Wegmans-your old app was amazing-above & beyond anything any other store had to offer. PLEASE go back to your roots with an update that restores your app to its rightful place on top.

Efficient for the most part. The Wegmans app is easy to navigate. You can find just about anything you want in the store on there providing the shopper is outgoing. The prices on some things are a little higher than they are in the store and depending on which shopper you get they may tell you things are out of stock out of sheer laziness. I’ve had to go out and check a couple of times to see for myself if the item was there and it was actually in stock. The easy handle is to call instacart to get a refund on the delivery and tip if you see fit(I’ve done this twice over the last year so that’s still really good). The items it usually happens with are the bulk items. All in all I like this app and will use it at least 2/3 times a month. I haven’t used the other apps from other stores because they do not seem to have the time slots available that wegmans does which is to their disadvantage even though they seem to be larger in volume. You’d think THEY would be more efficient than the smaller chain but hey, that’s why wegmans continues to be my go to. Keep it up!

Missing the old app’s features. I absolutely LOVE apps that make my life easier, and that’s how I felt about the last version of this app. Since we started shopping at Wegmans 2+ years ago, my wife and I have used this app to create grocery lists (either on on our phones or through the website log in on our computers). My favorite features of the old app were the ease of searching by typing or scanning a barcode. And the ability to click the “my products” button to easily filter by products we’ve purchased before. So when I type “bread” I could quickly filter by my products and select from the 2 types of bread we buy vs scrolling through the hundreds of options that we don’t every buy. It’s SOO annoying. I also liked that while you were shopping and checking things off on your list, the old app would count down the number of items on your list. It was so nice to see I only had 3 items left to get. I also liked that I could easily remove all selected items while shopping, to shorten my list to only show the 3 remaining items. That function is no longer available, so now I have to keep scrolling up and down on the list to see what I haven’t checked off yet. With no idea how many items are remaining. I hate it. The new version only allows you to clear the list completely. It’s so frustrating and I wish they would bring back the old app’s features.

Update is not great. As many have said, the new app is far from an improvement. Load times are cumbersome. The check box for items on the list is too small, making it very hard to tap the check box instead of the item- sending you to the description. The items are no longer listed in the order they appear in the store. For example, frozen food in my store is in the far corner, but in the app frozen is randomly listed between dairy and pharmacy which are located towards the middle of my store. This means I need to constantly scroll around my list to not miss anything. Also, the list no longer asks you if you want to clear the list after checking off all items, so you don’t know that you’ve missed something due to the wacky layout. It also doesn’t offer to clear only checked items, either you delete everything or you delete items one at a time. This means you can no longer delete everything you bought and leave what was out of stock for next time with any kind of ease. I guess it’s pretty, but it’s not functional.

Good app but removed some items. My husband and I always use this app, but after the update you removed some features that made it easy. I used to be able to check items and delete only the selected items. Now you only have the option to delete the whole list. Another thing is you used to swipe and remove, that was so easy, now I have to change the amount and select delete. Just an extra step that takes time when I’m walking around the store. If I have 30 items on the list I like to clear out some after I pick them up. One feature that would make it better too is to sort by a custom layout. I walk through produce, then nature’s marketplace, then bakery, meat, etc. I have to scroll through to find the next area I’m walking to. I walk through the same pattern every time. Just another way to make it quicker so I’m not standing around searching through my phone.

Search bar. One of the few things that I’m not liking about the new app is that when I click the “x” to clear what I’ve typed, the cursor disappears from the search bar. The whole reason I’m clicking the “x” is to search for the next item I need, so I have to re-click in the search bar after clearing the area each time. Aside from that, it’s great! And I fully appreciate that your app is in line with the aisles of my store! There are several grocery stores nearby us but their apps don’t have this feature which makes grocery shopping so much faster! The other stores apps let you make a list, but that’s all it is, a list of items, items you’re not even sure if they carry, so I’ve not been shopping at those stores honestly, because I want to waste my time like that. I also love that you put the ingredients of the items in the app too because I try to keep sugars low in our diet and being able to see the ingredients before I add the item to our list is fantastic!

Worst app update. I’ve been using the Wegmans app for years because it made shopping so easy. Then they updated it...and now it’s terrible. First of all, the new app is SO SLOW. I’m lucky if i can get it to load items while sitting in my living room using my high speed WiFi, let alone in the store when I’m shopping. Second, the app no longer “deletes” an item from your list once you’ve checked it off, making you do twice as much work while you’re shopping. So now, instead of just checking an item off when I get it I actually have to delete it from the list if I want it to go away and have an accurate amount of items left to buy in my list. Third, now the app doesn’t tell you if an item you search for is out of stock like it used to. So you’ll add a product to your list, drive all the way to Wegmans to then find out they don’t even have it. If they don’t make some changes to this new update, I’ll probably just delete the app entirely and go back to the old fashioned way of making lists, either in paper or in my notes app. This update was such a waste of time and resources.

Favorites List and Better Coupons?. I am assuming I am not the only one that buys the same products. I would like a favorites or pantry list that I can work from to create my shopping list(s), the app offers frequently purchased items but that’s not my pantry and it’s typically things I recently purchased, other list options are nice when trying to search for something I had purchase. Would like the option to add to a specific shopping list(s) and add to a pantry/favorites list. From the favorites list would like to be able to add to a shopping list. The ability to easily add to any list is not an option either, you have to go back and change your list.. makes it hard for meal planning. Wegmans stopped mailing useful coupons and now offer coupons on the app that are not tailored to standard products and is mostly specialty. Other grocery stores give you coupons at check out tailored to your purchases or purchase history. Not Wegmans.

Old version was so much better. I’m all for new and exciting updates to apps and usually jump on board pretty quickly but I’ve given this one quite a bit of time and it still stinks. First off, why am I no longer asked if I want to clear my list when I’ve checked everything off? I rely heavily on my list to ensure that I’m staying on budget. I loved how when I checked everything off I would get this prompt. Now I have to go in a click or two and choose to clear list. While it doesn’t take a ton of time it’s just stupid that this was changed. My second issue is that the out of stock items can’t be put into my list. I make my list in advance so just because it’s out now doesn’t mean it will be when I actually go to the store. I also like to see what I actually need, even if out of stock, and can then decide on a replacement. These items used to show under an out of stock section of my list. Finally, I used to be able to easily make multiple lists. Multiple lists were perfect for things like my weekly meals and then one for staples. I used a few different lists but now only seem to be able to make one. I just don’t understand why they think this app is an upgrade from the previous version. I can’t imagine that people gave feedback saying “please take away the ability to do…” so I don’t get why we can no longer do these things.

Redesigned app is almost useless now. This was my absolute favorite app before the redesign. Now it’s so bad I may have to stop using it. Before, it made building a list from previous purchases so easy; the aisle numbers made it a cinch to find what you needed; search let you quickly filter by items you’d bought before or all items; and you could easily delete items you’d found to keep the list readable. It was also really fast to load up. The new app makes it so hard to search for items you’ve bought before and the tap area to mark off an item in the list is absurdly tiny - I keep accidentally hitting the image and launching the details page. It’s sluggish and slow and difficult to find what you want with the new navigation. They’ve also cluttered up the list view with so many inputs and info it’s hard to scan and read as you’re shopping. It seems the main reason they redesigned was to make the pickup and order online more prominent, and in the process ruined all the basic functionality needed for a good shop-in-the-store app. I love Wegmans, but every time I use this app, the frustration and anger spills over onto their brand a bit, eroding my positive view of them.

Items disappear when out of stock. I have used the Wegmans app for years as it streamlines my shopping trips wonderfully, particularly if I’m shopping at different stores. I didn’t particularly care for the most recent upgrade, but I’ve generally gotten used to it. Except for one key issue: items that are not currently in stock disappear from the list entirely! I get that the most recent update was intended to streamline the use of Instacart/curbside, but there’s nothing more frustrating than coming back from a shopping trip without a key item simply because a particular size or brand wasn’t available at the time I went. This is particularly aggravating with the numerous supply chain issues as 99% of the time, I’d be perfectly happy with an alternate brand, size or option. It’s even worse when multiple individuals are adding to the list throughout the week as I may not be aware we even need something until I get home to a “why didn’t you get X, I put it on the list yesterday.” Please, please, PLEASE add a “not currently available” when in-store shopping is selected!

Used to be a great app. I agree with the general disappointment in the current version. One big improvement - checked-off items are now checked off in my account, not just on the device I was using at the time. Thank you for that, Weggies! Much as I love that, it’s not worth all the things that are broken now: 1. I can only see 2 or 3 items at a time on my phone screen - so LOTS of scrolling. Because of the empty space for the useless notes one creates when trying to use the big + to add something to the list (which is peeve #2). 3. Out-of-stock items disappear from the list rather than being marked. Since I don’t memorize my list (I had an app for that before this “upgrade”), I don’t know what’s missing until I need to use it. 4. Truly bizarre search: searching for “salt” would be expected to yield, I don’t know, salt? First item is butter with sea salt in it. The first plain old table salt was on the 3rd page of results. Garlic? First item is sweet onions. Uh, no. While I appreciate seeing things I buy often at the head of the list, I’d really like to see what I searched for. 5. Organization of the departments/aisles in the app leads to a LOT of backtracking. 6. Box for checking off items is too close to the edge, I end up opening the item instead of checking it off. 6. Opening an item send to show a useful description; now it’s just a picture. In all, the “improved” app adds 10-15 minutes to my time in the store.

Hate the new update!. The old version was clean and easy to use. The update is so cluttered and awkward to use. It’s counterintuitive to use. You can’t just swipe left any more to delete an item. It lost some of my saved lists. It doesn’t give you a count down of the items that are remaining, and it doesn’t prompt you to clear your list when you’ve checked off all your items anymore. That feature helped me to not forget anything. When you search for an item, you used to be able to select from past purchases, which made it easy to find items. The list doesn’t always put items in number order. You could be in isle 18, and then, “surprise!” You’ve got to go back to isle 5! When you email a list to someone, it used to look just like your list, with product pictures. Which was helpful for the person you were sending it to. Now it’s a text only list. This is so frustrating! I loved the old version. The new version is a steaming hot mess! They are trying to cram too many things into one app, and they are ruining what made the app functional.😡

Good app but please bring back lost features. Wegmans is a great chain and the app is generally better than those of other grocery stores. For one thing they allow you to put together your shopping list before you go and see the actual prices you’ll pay for each item. My wife and I use this religiously to help stay within our budget. We build our grocery list at the end of each week before going to the store and have the kids check each item off as we walk around. It kept them busy and made sure we got everything. Once everything was checked off at the end of the list it would ask you if you wanted to clear the list. Now that feature has been dropped, and we wish the developers would bring it back. Another great feature that we wish would come back was the ‘my products’ filter in the search bar. This handily prevents “husband error”, which is where I buy the wrong thing because I haven’t bought it before and can’t read minds. Man I hope they read this and bring that back too.

Much better before the recent update!. I rarely leave reviews but I love Wegmans and always loved using the app to shop. It made my shopping much easier and kept me from retracing my steps because I forgot something in another aisle. This newest update is making me consider just going back to a paper list! It’s not as user friendly in adding and deleting items. Also, the old app would gray out items that were checked off, making it much easier to see what was still needed and the check boxes were bigger which made it easier when your quickly clicking it while shopping. I also like on the old one when I checked the last item a box popped up saying Done Shopping so I knew I had gotten everything. This version no longer does the graying out the the Done box. It also now puts my items in a different order that truly doesn’t make sense even though I have the same store selected and nothing in the store has been moved. I realize some of these things may not sound like a big deal but when the point of the app is convenience and to streamline my shopping, this one takes that away compared with the former app.

Used to be better. Okay, the app is still better than a hand written shopping list, so it does get some stars. But the original version of the app was just way better. You could zoom in on photos of the items, which is useful sometimes when you’re trying to read about the product. You could check the items you put in your cart and then at the end, you could clear all the checked items. It was just so easy. Now you have to manually delete each item. And maybe it’s user error, but things disappear from the list!! It could be a matter of hitting the trash can icon after the page has shifted, but items definitely disappear from the list. And as one other reviewer mentioned, you can’t add an item that’s not in stock. You can’t even find an item that’s not in stock. It would be useful, if for nothing else, so you know what aisle it would be on and you could go to that aisle and choose an alternate product. But perhaps it’s back in stock before you actually go there? So why not let us find and add things that aren’t in stock? Come on Wegmans! Bring back the old app!!

I second the “upgrade is a downgrade” review!. I loved the old Wegmans App! This, not so much. My number one complaint is that not all the inventory available in store is on the app. By now, you would think would be resolved. Many times I have to keep a separate list of what we need that isn’t coming up on the app, and carry it along with the app. Pain. Secondly, if an item is out of stock, even temporarily, it disappears from the list. This has resulted in forcing me to remember later, knowing it was on the list, and running to a closer store than Wegmans. Fail. And thirdly, I maintain the list 90% of the time based on what I plan to cook and what we are running low on. My husband is retired so he does the shopping. It’s one thing if it’s a regular item that he knows, but the new app doesn’t share the list along with pictures of the items like the old app did. This STINKS. So many times he guesses, calls or texts, and it’s the wrong thing or too late by the time I respond. PLEASE bring back to old functionality ASAP!

Like it, but a couple big negatives. Overall I like this app. It’s generally easy to use the digital coupons, and I love knowing which aisle/area I need for each item. My two big annoyances: 1- the search engine is terrible. The predictive search suggestions often return “no results found”. Don’t suggest something if there’s nothing there! My biggest complaint with the search is that you need to know the exact term the store uses, and a common term may not work. For example, a search for toilet paper gets nothing, you have to learn to search for bath tissue. I have to know it’s “garden salad” (the specific package name) instead of a general “bagged lettuce” search. And I just went through 7 different search terms before finding the specific type of plastic bag I wanted - even though one of the searches was for exactly the product label wording. 2- when using the digital coupons, if you click on the picture to see what items qualify, the visible description for each item listed is very short. This often leads to a list of 5 qualifying items that all start with the same words, and the pictures are too small to see, so I have to click on each one to see which I want on my list. Wegmans, please consider doing some usability testing, and hire some skilled UI designers! Your app could be a 5 star with a few usability improvements.

Wegmans app seems to be great again. 2nd EDIT: thank you for fixing your Wegmans app I can now see past purchases and I shopped this morning and it appears that if an item isn’t available you didn’t delete it from my list. Now I love your app again 💕 EDIT: I used to love this app but now NOT so much anymore! Why delete an item on my list when it’s not available really stinks why not let me decide if I want something else that is available? because when I get home I realize that I didn’t have the item that I needed because you deleted it!! WHY DO THAT?? Also I can no longer look at my previous purchases and to be able to add some of those items to my new shopping list!! I used to use that feature a lot especially for my Holiday shopping list!! PLEASE FIX YOUR APP!! See new Review I just love this Wegmans App it makes shopping in their store so easy and convenient. I am able to find everything that I’m looking for without having to wander all over the store. I would recommend this app to anyone that shops at wegmans

Bring back the old app. This new app is very cumbersome for creating and executing my grocery list. Given the capabilities of this new app, I am very inclined to revert to a written grocery list.... Loved the old app, loved building my list and being able to select my products when doing a search. Today, I searched for rice and was given a list consisting of 13 pages. Ugh! The old app would have listed my products and the only rice I ever buy at Wegmans. I don’t need to see pages of sushi with rice, the hot bar options, rice vinegar and the other multitude of products that Wegmans sells that contain rice. I loved the my products option. I will also comment on the list completion capabilities. With the older app, as I gathered my groceries, the items were depleted on my list as I checked them off. So....if I went to the store to buy 20 items and got to the checkout with 2 items still on my list, I would know I was not done... Now, with the new app, I have to keep scrolling through to ensure I did not miss anything and hope I don’t inadvertently touch the wrong button that shows me a product. In the meantime, I am holding up traffic in the aisles... Please restore the old app and it’s functions. This new app is not user friendly and causes a multitude of delays in the shopping experience. Not worth the hassle!

Used to love this app but they keep making “improvements”.. This app used to be the single reason my family would shop at Wegmans but they keep making “improvements” to the app and it keeps getting worse and worse. The main benefit of this app is to be able to make a grocery list and know what aisles the items you need are on. They keep messing with how the items are organized on the list and it makes it unusable. For instance, the app used to organize the list the way my store was set up so things like produce would be towards the top, items on aisles would be in the middle, and frozen would be at the end. Since the past two updates my list is organized starting with aisle 1 then all other departments are grouped together at the end. I’ve been to many many Wegmans and they all basically flow the same way so why in the world would I want to start my list at aisle 1? With the most recent update my checked and unchecked items won’t save after I close the app. Congrats Wegmans you have truly destroyed something that used to be great!

Latest Update Ruined App. I use this app nearly every day. My husband and I keep a running list of items for curbside pickup and the latest update made it so that I cannot edit items in bulk, and they removed the feature that let you say you don’t want your items replaced if they’re not available. You have to INDIVIDUALLY edit each item on your list if you want to make sure that they are not replaced. Sometimes I have 40+ items on my list. I do not want to go through and edit each one. On top of that, if you don’t select the ‘do not replace’ option, you will still get an item that you didn’t want in your groceries when your preferred item is unavailable. And if your “approved” item is also unavailable, you will STILL get an item that you didn’t select or approve. This is ridiculous. Please fix this. Or just go back to the old version from this fall. Another issue is that when you’re going to pickup your groceries, sometimes the app doesn’t give you the option to let them know you’re there at curbside pickup. You have to go through your text messages and select the link that it sent you. Why would I think to go to my text messages to let them know when I arrive at the store? I wouldn’t. Again, this was working fine in the previous version. Whoever is working on this app keeps making it worse every time there’s an update. Wegmans, you need to get a new team to do this app.

Improvements Needed. I use the app all the time to order groceries now, but I’ve noticed several times that items just completely disappear off my order like they were never there. There is no email sent when you place an order so you can’t double check to that (which is also something else that needs to change ASAP) so I’ve been relying on screenshots. Every single order I make now has at least 3 or 4 items that just completely disappear. Not that they’re out and they just can’t shop for them - but that they are no longer on the order at all so the shopper can’t even know to look for substitutes. This just happen again 2 separate times on my order for pickup tomorrow and with random items. I only discovered it again because I was carefully looking thru it to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, and both times random items just disappeared (all the meat this last time!!). I’m trying to avoid the stores during the pandemic and it’s so frustrating that this keeps happening with no “official” record each time. The only reason I’m aware it keeps happening is that I’m double checking my list and my screenshots. I shouldn’t have to double check my orders multiple times in the hopes it stays accurate! My daughter and I are high risk so staying out of the stores is important to us.

Yes, some improvements, but painful transition.... I loved the previous version of the app—that was a huge win for Wegmans who now gets 90% of my grocery dollars because the list function and then showing me exactly where to find those items in them store was FANTASTIC. There are some positives, but frankly, it isn’t worth the force. The “my items” finally shows the items I just purchased so I can easily add them again. That helps. The recipes section is good, as is being able to add items to the list. And I’m not constantly opening the Wegmans to Go app as the old app was loading...that was painful. Now for all the negatives: 1. SLOW to load. Sigh. 2. List function harder to use if you are searching for new items. It is also buggy—I’ve had items disappear, thought I’d wiped my list completely, then it re-appeared, but without all the items. 3. Can’t copy paste recipes or forward so you can import them into your recipe app. And the app only lets you view them in portrait mode. I can’t check off the ingredients as I add them, no can I check off the steps like I can in my preferred recipe app (The Recipe Box). Just let me copy and paste it, or better yet, allow for importing directly into The Recipe Box!

The BEST grocery app. I’m not sure how this app gets so many bad reviews as it is hands down the best grocery store app of all the major chains I’m familiar with (shop-rite, stop and shop, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Costco, etc). In fact it’s not even close. The app tracks your purchases, keeps receipts, presents great recipes and suggests coupons. But greater than all that is the functionality around building your shopping list and searching for items in the store. The app allows you to add items to your shopping list from your previous purchases, recipes, or search function. Every item listed in the app contains the nutritional information and it’s location in your home store!!! This is literally the greatest time saving convenience and no other supermarket does it. As someone who follows a restrictive diet I find this functionality to be essential, and it is what makes me a loyal Wegmans shopper.

What did you do?. This was a great app now it stinks. Can’t delete selected items from a list and have to do each item individually. The check box is too small. I don’t have large hands but constantly opened up the item. When searching the way it is now it doesn’t allow you to see the item. For instance I was looking for glucosamine and no where in the description did it tell me how many mg and I couldn’t enlarge the picture to read the bottle. Can’t clip all for the digital coupons. The list was set up before to take you around the store in a logical fashion, now it has you crisscrossing the whole store. And last but not least what happened to my products? I liked being able to just tap on that and see what I’d bought previously. Get your act together and fix this hot mess. Just found another glitch. I have items that are always on my list. I don’t delete them because I buy them every week. If an item wasn’t available they would move to the bottom and say not available but when back in stock they would be back in the list. Now they are just gone from my list. Can’t we have the old app back?

Bring back the old app!. The old app was easier to use, provided better search results, and had a better shopping list to use in the store. In the old app when you searched for something your most recent items that met that criteria would come up first - now there’s no rhyme or reason what comes up when you search. I searched for sugar and there were 38 items that showed up before a bag of sugar - many of them sugar-free products! When using the list in the store while shopping, you used to be able to check things off as you bought them, it would tell you how many things were left on the list, and then tell you when you were done and you had the option to then clear the check marks and have the list ready to use the next time you went shopping. Now you can put check marks, but have no idea if you have everything without scrolling up and down through the whole list and there’s no way to clear the checks without going back through and clicking on each one again. Either fix the new app or bring back the old!

Update is a downgrade in usability. The redesign of this app has made it much less user friendly. I regret updating it. My biggest complaint is with the “share list” feature. I shop for a home-bound friend, who creates a list via the app & shares it with me by email so I can do her shopping. The shared list used to include images of the products which were very helpful in finding products I wasn’t familiar with. Not only are images no longer included, but neither is any indication of the size/volume of the product. Only the price is listed. Not helpful in the least when the shelf tag is missing! The printout is also much harder to read than before, when listed products were well separated. Other complaints are the slow load time of the app, the dysfunctional search filters & incomplete or flat out irrelevant search results. Also, the coupon list is much harder to read, with the item description no longer fully fitting on the initial screen, requiring one to select it just to see what the product is (b/c the image is too small to tell from, especially if it’s not a familiar item). Please, go back to the previous design!

Top rate app. Wegmans went above and beyond with this app. It even puts your shopping list in the order of the items in the store aisles. I love Wegmans. Great app.

Excellent app. Very nice layout easy to navigate. Love the recipes!

Very bad customer service!. My order was missing twice in a roll! They said they would refund me but I still have to pay extra service and delivery fees. When I report this situation the customer service just blame on the Instacart and claim they have nothing do do with it. When I ask to cancell out the extra fees the customer service just “eh” and hang off my call!

Version 8.0.1 Still Doesn’t Like iPads. Still no bug fix for the sudden absence of landscape-portrait orientation swap for iPads. Very annoying.

Horrible update!. Like many others I’m disappointed by the new version of the app. The simplicity of the old version was much more user friendly & efficient. Things I dislike most about update are: 1) tiny check boxes for items on list, 2)can no longer view tally of how many items remaining as you shop, 3)no longer able to search keyword & choose to view all or recent purchases (recent purchases in whole different section), 4)slow startup, 5)unable to clip all coupons, 6)‘order for pick up or delivery’ option at bottom of list when you’ve already selected to shop in store (even when your in the actual store shopping, this option still consumes the bottom portion of your list/screen) I really hope wegmans is actually taking these reviews/feedback seriously and not just saying ‘it’ll just take time to get used to the new format’ - I’ll never get used to such a downgrade.

Wonky Shopping List. I went shopping today but the shopping list in the app is wonky. Items that should have been listed by aisle were sorted at the end of the list under ‘See Store Associate’ which was not necessary as I was able to find them without one. However because those items were listed randomly at the bottom of the list, it made my shopping take much longer because then I had to search random aisles to find them. Also as some have commented here, Produce is now at the bottom of the list. The organization of the aisles in the list is such that now I have to scroll up and down the list a lot because it’s not sorted in the order of how most people go through the store, such as Produce first, Meat next, etc. The list is more troublesome now.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I had been using the old Wegmans app for a number of years...loved the old app. Loved it so much that I used to show it to customers in the store while I was shopping, show them how to find it and use it-and show them how to connect to Wegmans WiFi so they didn’t burn their data. I touted it on Facebook. It was fabulous...it made shopping convenient and efficient. It listed an aisle number and indicated all the items in my list that I could find on that aisle....no wondering from aisle to aisle....did I mention I loved it? This “improved” version is clunky and slow. It is extremely slow to load and the little “working on it” sign, though cute, doesn’t assuage my annoyance. It now organizes items by department. Most grocery items are listed in ‘other departments’....not helpful. To make it even less efficient your shopping list is organized randomly within the ‘department’ so your first item may be on aisle 1, your next item on aisle 10, and your third item on aisle 1 again.😖 Marathon grocery shopping is not my idea of fun. Nothing done to this Wegmans app was an improvement. Except for price checking, using a pencil and paper list is faster.

Great once you learn how to use it. This is a great app once you figure out how to use it. It would be nice if there was a FAQ you could refer to until you become more familiar with it. Hence only 4 stars. The first few times I found it difficult to maneuver my way around it when I wanted to add or delete something. I felt like I was going around in circles. But the more I used it, the easier it became. Frankly, I never thought I would use this type of service, and then Covid happened. now I find it so convenient, I use it all the time. A huge advantage is that the shoppers “stick to the list”. I do too much impulse buying when I go into the store. It’s hard not to in Wegmans! Using the app and having someone else put the order together keeps my grocery bill down and prevents unnecessary impulse buying. Thank you Wegmans for always trying to improve yourself!

Disaster. This latest update is another disaster. I have an iPhone 6. The “my list” was changed so that it no longer fits horizontally on my screen. It is difficult to scroll vertically down my list because the list can now scroll horizontally as well. It wobbles all around and should only scroll vertically, not horizontally. The list of problems with this app is too great to list here. I wanted to email Wegmans some feedback, but there is nowhere to leave feedback about their app. You have to contact their individual stores, which obviously isn’t the proper place to provide app feedback. This app is a huge disaster that you should avoid using if you can! Lately the app keeps deleting items off of my list! This is infuriating! The old app used to say the product was no longer available, but this current version secretly removes items and doesn’t even notify you! Please fix this!!!!! Around ten items were mysteriously missing from my list today and there is no way to get them back!

Restore the ability to clear checked items from the list. At first I loved the new app for its ability to link to a delivery order. However as I started to use it, I found a lot of necessary features are gone. Two biggest: 1. Once I use my shopping list to shop in the store, there is inevitably one or two items that need to remain on the list because they were out of stock. The new app has no way to “clear checked items” from the shopping list. I have to deleted my whole list and start over again. 2. There is no easy way to filter my product search to products I have bought before. I eventually found a way to do it, but the open was only available sporadically. One more thing...if I want to delete an item from my shopping list, I have to “edit list” click the x next to the item, then click “edit list” again to end editing. Please restore a way to simply delete an item in the list.

Update is very disappointing.. I am so disappointed in the new app. There are so many features I loved that are no longer there. I frequently used a “delete selected items” feature so that items that weren’t in stock or I needed, but chose not to purchase that day, were saved for my next trip. It is also very hard to search for my previously bought items. I liked being able to search for an item and be able to select from my items that fit that criteria. Now you have to search from a long list by category only. You can no longer view similar items. I recently did a pick-up order and I wish that it linked to and switched over to Instacart where it is easier to select replacements, communicate with your shopper, follow their progress, and let them know you are on your way - all with ease. In the future I will go to Instacart directly. I also hard problems trying to fill a prescription.

Totally agree this app could be great. We’ve used this app for a couple of years now and have come to rely on it for all our shopping trips. We are loyal Wegmans shoppers and only go elsewhere for the occasional item Wegmans doesn’t carry or is just out of. The search engine IS terrible. Someone needs to review key wording and hire competent database and SEO programmers. Fix the scanning ability! After the other scanning app was discontinued the scanning ability in the shopping app died too. Today I couldn’t get Ziploc Pint Freezer Bags to come up in a search. Would have been nice to be able to scan the barcode on my empty box. The My Items list needs a way to delete stuff I bought once and will never buy again. It’s a mess. Wishlist: I buy a lot of greeting cards from your store and I would love to have a way to add a generic item such as that as a reminder to go to that aisle! I get that you probably don’t include them in inventory control and I don’t need anything specific. If I could just add “birthday (get well, sympathy, anniversary, etc) to the list I wouldn’t go home without it. I’m giving you my purchase data to sell to advertisers and I would expect to get some conveniences in return.

Don’t log out. Once you’re in, the app is great! But don’t log out or you can’t get back in. I would log in, it would prompt me to “review my information” and the only way to get off that prompt is to click “Create Account” or Cancel. Click “Create Account” and it tells you you already have an account. The only way for me to get back in was to reset my password. Now I’m in, and I repeat: don’t log out. Can you guys please fix this? Addendum: The search can also be problematic. Certain key words don’t always return results for products I know are there. Take advantage of “My Items,” as that shows all products you have ever purchased, even in store. I don’t know how far back in time it goes, but there are things there I purchased once, maybe even a few years ago.

New app is disappointing. I have to echo other users on the new app design. I use the Wegmans app every week for my grocery shopping. I agree the check marks are way too tiny and finicky, even for people like me with tiny fingers. I also miss the feature in the list where you could uncheck all items at once, instead of having to completely delete your list or uncheck every tiny check box. And it appears the one-click add from prior receipts is no longer a function either, having to go into each individual item to add to your current list. I understand the need to update and innovate but unfortunately this new app design is so much less user-friendly than the old app. I hope Wegmans developers take their fan complaints and suggestions to heart. I still love Wegmans and this app won’t stop us from shopping there, but it’s a little more frustrating each trip.

Very disappointed with the new version. Oh there are so many reasons I dislike the app update... 1) the old app used to give you a way to uncheck all items from your shopping list at once. This is helpful if you buy lots of the same things each visit to the store. 2) the old app counted all unchecked items in your shopping list, so at a glance you could see if you missed anything. 3) the checkbox in the shopping list is so small and close to the edge of the screen and close to the item name that I often times inadvertently open the item instead of checking the box. 4) my wife hates the search as it doesn’t always return products you know exist or even return items you bought from wegmans by scanning the barcode. 5) search is terrible. Search for “organic peanut butter” and the first return is honey. The one improvement I’m enjoying is the ability to see if an item has a coupon available right from the item details. Please improve upon these areas.

New app took away convenient features. So far I am not a fan of the new app. The look is not as clean and it’s less intuitive. They also took away at least 3 features that I found useful. 1: can no longer click on “clip all” for the coupons. You have to click each individual coupon which is a waste of time. 2: You can no longer swipe left to delete an item from your list. Now it takes at least 2 clicks per item to remove it from your list. 3: You can no longer delete selected/checked off items from your list with just one click. You need to select edit, click the items, and then delete and it asks you to confirm this for each item. All of these changes are cumbersome and worked MUCH better in the old app. So far it’s also much slower than the old app, but maybe that’s because it’s new. I do like that you can add things to your list without having to find it in the store. Very dsappointed in the update.

Did they test this app with actual shoppers?. For the way that I shop this update is a giant step backward. I like to quickly scan my past purchases and add items to my list before leaving for the store. Because the images of the items are so large in this version of the app, it takes so much longer to accomplish this that the feature is no longer useful. The check boxes next to the items used to indicate that you have them in your cart are so small that half of the time I bring up the screen with the full product information when I’m trying to place a check in the box. Finally, removing an item from a list appears to be a multi-step process. It’s possible that I haven’t yet determined the fastest way to accomplish this yet but it seems that instead of just swiping left, I now have to click on the minus button next to the quantity until it gets to zero and then select the remove button. Unless these problems are corrected, I will likely go back to using a different shopping list app.

Don’t fix what isn’t broken.. This app used to be super helpful. My wife would be signed in with my account on her phone, make a list, and I’d just snake through the isles of our store and grab stuff as I passed it. When it was done, it would prompt me to wipe the list or not. Now, after the redesign, the store layout is wrong (produce is now first, even though our store’s is all the way in the back), it doesn’t flow at all (used to be ‘AB, BA’ but now it’s AB, AB) so you have to swipe up and down the list to find the isle section you happen to be in. And now you have to deep dive into an ellipsis menu in order to delete the list. Also, the tiny check box next to items resulted in me accidentally loading the item in question more often than not, making for a very aggravating user experience. I am exceptionally critical, because I build software for a living, but it seems to be the consensus that this was a major misstep for the company. New is not always better.

Items from listdisappear. Update: can you PLEASE fix this?! This still happens, and now for the past couple of months it’ll just delete my ENTIRE list. 😭 This app needs help. I love shopping at Wegmans, but this app is frustrating. Any time an item goes out of stock, it just disappears from your list. Then you go shopping, you think you get everything then it randomly pops back into your list like the next day. There should be a spot where it says currently out of stock, or just say next to the item that it’s out of stock. That way we all just don’t forget something we needed, we can just shop for a replacement instead. It’s been like this for a long time it seems and still hasn’t been updated after SO many people complaining about it. PLEASE fix that. Also I’ve realized you have to be super specific when looking up items recently. Sometimes random stuff will pop up instead of what you typed in that is no where near related to what you originally searched.

I miss the old app!. This app is a major step backward from the previous version. There are several issues: 1. The check boxes are so small, they are almost impossible to use while shopping; I keep “looking up” the item and it’s very annoying. 2. I can’t seem to easily go back and forth between saved lists like I used to be able to. 3. I miss the “your products” feature of the old app so I didn’t have to browse every product to find the one I want to add to my list. 4. Several items are missing from the database. I wanted to add something as simple as bacon to my list and had to add as a note because according to the app there were “no products found”. I was able to choose my bacon out of several varieties in store and purchase it, so it wasn’t out of stock or anything...I had this issue with other items as well. 5. The app has the wrong aisle number for many items. I had to ask the shelf stockers several times where to find items; they were very helpful and immediately told me where to go, but that was not the aisle listed for these products in the app. 6. This version is not as good at ordering your list so you can easily match the store layout, so you have to keep scrolling back and forth and that makes it really hard to make sure you’re getting everything on your list. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience shopping with this app - I hope these comments can help you improve it quickly.

Dr. And Mrs. Shealy (public health nurse and physician). When you are “out” of something, the replacement is frequently A WHOLE LOT MORE EXPENSIVE. Please give the originally asked for price for the item or else remove it from options to choose from. Takes me Sn hour to go through all the replacements and I’m spending 23 per cent more on groceries since March. YOUR INSTACART PEOPLE DONT WEAR MASKS! Your kids cleaning carts spray the disinfectant everywhere but on the carts. They are in a big hurry and are very “lick and a promise.” They are not thorough. Observe them, Check them AND FREQUENTLY retrain them. I’m not going in your store until I get a vaccination. I SHOP TWICE A WEEK. I watch what’s happening outside and when I get a delivery. I’m not going inside yet because I’m immune compromised. And I would be concerned about infection in DT. More people are going to get infected because they do go in to shop and there are sloppy practices for hygiene taking place. thanks for the Good changes, yes, but Steve, manager at Wegmans in DT you must keep a constant vigil. The kids are not thorough. Your Instacart people should mask and glove. You told me Instacart people are not your responsibility in April! They are EVERYBODY'S RESPONSIBILITY. Or else we will all continue to infect one another!

Updates seem untested. I’ve really come to depend on the Wegmans app. We can add items we need during the week, and appreciate that the lists are generally sorted in the order of the aisles in the store. (With the exception of Nature’s Mkt and special departments). This makes popping into a different Wegmans from your usual one very easy. The one new change that makes me wonder if real shoppers test this app, is that items which become unavailable after you’ve added them to your list completely disappear. Older versions used to put them at the bottom of the list under a heading “No longer available”. This allowed you to make a substitution if you wanted to. You could always find these items because older app versions also used to have a pop up once all items were checked off. That feature is gone, too. It might be time to step away from the computer and start testing the product in real life.

Good functionality, poor style. Let me start off that I haven’t had the login issues that seem to plague some of these other reviewers, and I use the app quite frequently. However, this app is stuck in the early 2010’s. There’s new API’s and Apple design guidelines that this app needs to take advantage of. Siri integration could be amazing, ie “hey Siri, add milk to my list in Wegmans.” It’s built into SiriKit but they don’t use it. The style is also... old. Frankly it looks like it was designed for old people, with friendly, hand drawn icons (that look like some weird clip art type of things from Word in the 90’s). But that clashes with the rest of the OS, and old people are not using an app to help with grocery shopping, period. If they followed the design guidelines for iOS and utilized the available API’s and this app would be an absolute must have for anyone who shops at Wegmans.

Awful update. What used to be the app u would recommend to all new and old shoppers I can’t even use myself now. I can no longer easily find items I’ve purchased in the past and instead have to search through pages of products. The list check off boxes are too small while shopping in the store. It no longer counts down the items left on the shopping list, coupons are cumbersome to go through, and it takes much too many “taps” to load or delete items from the list and between searching for other items to add. Also at the bottom 1/4 of the screen it leaves up the option for ordering online with no way to remove it. There are many other glitches that make this awful. This combine with them removing the children’s menu from their in store burger bar has certainly made my opinion of the brand change and I didn’t think that was possible. But now it’s seeming more and more like the customer is less important and the bottom line is all that matters.

Curbside Issues. Unfortunately, Wegmans ruined the curbside portion of this app. Once you place a new order going back to modify that order to add things is severely limited. Not sure why they would take functionality away but they did. When you go back to edit you no longer can see previous order, my orders, food departments etc... this also removes the frequently purchased items from appearing on the top of the list when you do a search for something. The new edit is limited to a basic search. Also the flow of adding items to an edited order needs to be improved. After adding items you need to remember to go to the bottom to actually save it to the order. Many times i forget to scroll all the way down and the item does not get added. The button should be at the top or better even no save button since i already added the item. Just a shame they reduced the functionality of order modification. I’m one of those people that start a list in the beginning of the week and add to it. Now it’s too frustrating to do it that way with the limited edit functionality. I would really like to know the reason that functionality was taken away. Usually updates bring new features and improvements. Not take away a critical function of the app ☹️

Improvement suggestions. I have been Wegmans customer since the short pump/west end store opened in Richmond VA. Since April 2020, not stepping out of house due to the pandemic and have been ordering monthly groceries delivery by InstaCart using the Wegmans app. At times the app does not show results for certain items searched even when in stock as confirmed by calling the store and speaking to respective department representatives (who are very helpful and many time go out of their way to help us out. I appreciate their help and would like to express thanks for all Wegmans team for the support in these difficult times). It would be useful if the app supports lookup/search by UPC details. Please stay safe and keep up the good work. Thanks.

Good but not great like the company!. This app works, but it’s still pretty much the same as it has been for years with little innovation. It’s also missing several key features like the ability to “favorite” and item. Something I’ve previously purchased isn’t the same as remembering what my favorite items are and some other functions don’t always work correctly. My “frequently purchased” list includes random things that I’ve only ever purchased once if they were bought recently. That’s the big issue I have with the functionality and features of the app. Ditch the frequently purchased or make sure it only includes items purchased frequently and/or add a favorites list, so I can easily see the items I love from Wegmans and quickly add them to my shopping list. Thanks!

Half of the list screen is devoted to notes. Half the list screen dedicated to notes?!? Giant plus sign covering the screen to make MORE notes? Who the heck is making that many notes on their itemized list? The new app makes everything harder, more cumbersome, and less intuitive. Harder to delete items - no more swipe to remove from list. Harder to see the picture of the product - because the pictures are tiny and they're devoting so much screen to notes. Im finding items in the self by sight, not a giant note line or text description. If I cant easily see the picture, I cant locate the product easily. No option to clear list automatically when shopping is complete. I love Wegmans but this update is awful and not designed by someone who is actually trying to shop in store. The app makes everything harder. I switched to Wegmans because of the slickness of the app and related shopping experience, I hope they find a middle ground and fix this app update. Very displeased.

Horrible update. First of all this was pushed down our throats. I went to go shopping and the old app with my list in it could not be accessed because of the banner you put across. My list did not transfer to the new app. On the new app you cannot add items or scan items from my list screen you constantly have to go back to the home screen. You’ve taken away the Automatically add option after scanning bar codes. And while shopping you’ve taken away the delete select items option. You have to either empty the whole list or delete items one by one. This was obviously created by someone that does not do the grocery shopping. It is also obvious that Wegmans cares more about food delivery or carry out service than their long-standing devoted customers. Shame on you Wegmans. I’m seriously consider switching to a different store that cares about it’s loyal customers!

Had to update but wish I didn’t. The new app looks slicker, I guess, with all the food and recipe pics, but user interface seems not to have been a priority. The list making process is now much more anal requiring several more steps than before and clearing items with a swipe is no longer possible. Can’t pull up “my items” when searching to add commonly purchased items to the list (seems to be a separate area now not liked to the list search feature) and the big prominent + button at the bottom of the list just adds a weird note area to the top maybe for mobile ordering but certainly not obvious what it’s there for. Overall, it’s as if the developers were suddenly told to stop thinking intuitively and for mobile platform and make it more like a Windows app for desktop, and make it all tinier and harder to read while they were at it. Even the little scan bar for the account is harder to find!

Change. I loved the Wegmans app & use it often to do my shopping. I often place an order & need to go back to add items. The change that was made in the app to do this makes a mess of the order. To go back & forth to see what’s in the cart & add stuff, but it needs to be saved each time is annoying & time consuming. I enjoyed the app way more before this change was made recently. And my instacart shopper often says the items aren’t in the store when in fact they are- because I park & run in to get them. I wish Wegmans would take instacart out of this- there is poor communication between the two. I had to call about my order & they kept passing me off to each other. If you call customer service in the store, they won’t deal with a pick up order. Wegmans does a professional job with running their stores, I wish they would take this on & have everything streamlined. And change the app to make it easier to go back & add items to pick up order.

Best grocery app. This is an insanely useful app. It contains the entire inventory for each Wegmans store, so you can create shopping lists using the products available on your store. When your shopping list is ready, you can walk into the store and see your shopping list GROUPED BY AISLE! This completely revolutionizes grocery shopping. We no longer have to double back through the store, ask to see if a product is carried or wait until we're at the store to find an item's price. UPDATE 4/15: this app has gotten steadily better over time. I love that you can easily switch from delivery to curbside to in-store. The Saved Lists feature is super helpful.

Latest update (1/14) is a downgrade. The all new, and supposedly improved, app is a big disappointment. The old app was not perfect but it was much more useful than this one. In case developers are reading these reviews: Check boxes are too close to left side. Has to try several times to check them in many instances. No longer have a visual indicator of how many items remain unchecked in your list while shopping. Now I have to scroll up and down at the end to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything. Even without the indicator, when you checked the last item, the old app would let you know you were finished and offer to clear the list or uncheck all for you. My wife and I use the app with the same account in different phones. Old app synced up pretty well almost every time one of us made an update. Now the syncing seems to not work well at all: Items getting dropped when the other person makes updates; Some updates never making it to the other persons phone when they go into the list. Much room to improve here. Old app was superior in almost every way. This one needs some of the old functionality added back. Also need to work in landscape mode on an iPad. Old app worked beautifully on the iPad. This one, not so much. Just the phone interface made larger, near as I can tell.

Good, needs some features. I only started using the app recently to build a curbside pickup order during the COVID outbreak. The app could be made better if several features were added, such as: 1. Notifying when curbside pickup time slots become available at your favorite store. It took me several days to even get a time slot. 2. Notifying when things in your cart are no longer available. I checked the cart tonight before my pickup tomorrow and noticed that several things I had selected had fallen out of the cart. All I needed to do was substitute different items. 3. I would like it to import shopping lists from a few different recipe sites so I don’t have to manually input items for specific recipes. I haven’t used the app very long and maybe this is available and I just don’t see it. Other than those quibbles, I’m glad it’s available.

Previous version better. I have used the Wegmans app for many years. I appreciated the fact that in the previous version I was able to keep multiple lists, and choose which list I wanted to currently work on. We live out of town from family and when we go in for visits I was able to build a different list for that store. For my store I keep a running list and continue updating it for each trip. I’m unable to do that in new version. Also, in previous version I was able to tap on picture and I was able to zoom in which I can no longer do. I agree with other reviewers that it’s much more difficult to check off the items on the list now as well. Another feature I miss is the option to go through, select certain items and I was able to delete all selected items in one shot. I’m still satisfied with the app showing which aisle the items should be located in and putting them in order of the selected store’s layout. I also appreciate the ingredients for products is included. For families with allergies, this is very helpful! I will definitely continue using the app for my shopping needs when I visit Wegmans, but please bring those options listed above back! Thank you!

Please mark out of stock items instead of just deleting them from grocery list!!!. Love this app for the most part, but it has one major flaw. Please consider a feature for marking out of stock items as out of stock instead of deleting them off the grocery list with no notification. Often times things will just disappear from my list. This has been very inconvenient. It’s not possible to memorize my entire list and then notice as I’m shopping that something I had on there has been removed. For example, the ShopRite app moves any items on your list that go out of stock to the top of your list and clearly marks it “out of stock” which is very helpful and allows the customer to purchase a substitution without forgetting they need something.

The old version was better. There’s nothing better about the new version from my perspective as a user. In fact there’s less functionality. 1. “Remove selected items”, was a handy function that I used all the time while shopping. For whatever reason (out of stock, didn’t need right away, ran out of time) I would not get some items. But I could easily remove (with a click or two) all the 20 or so items that I did get. Now I have to remove each item individually. That’s a waste of time and a lot of extra clicks. 2. Having multiple lists was a great feature. I’m a divorced dad. I’d have my regular list and I’d have a list for what to get when my kids were coming over, or for special occasions, etc. I could navigate to the right list, add the multiple items I needed and save it. Now I have to click, “Save for later”, then select the appropriate list, for each item! Again, a lot of extra clicks, frustration and wasted time. I do like the “look” of the updated app. But I have to wonder if it was tested by real customers prior to being launched. Overall, it’s much less intuitive and harder to use than the older version. But you don’t have a choice of keeping, or going back, to the old version.

New App terrible and useless now. This new change to the app is horrible because of all the reasons the others have written here. I basically have to go back to the dark ages of writing a list because that’s easier and more straightforward than using this new app or new website. I used to love using the website and app to shop in store, every thing was sorted by department location and it was easy to switch between saved lists, scan barcodes, see notes and aisle locations, search for items, etc etc. Incredibly user unfriendly now and a waste of time trying to use it. It would’ve been easier if you left the shopping app alone and created a new proprietary app that integrates with ordering delivery or whatever your goals here were. Wegmans what have you done? I wish I could say I was surprised, but based on how product quality and sizing has declined while prices have gone up and up, it makes sense that you would continue to break a good thing. Was this even quality and end user tested before release????

Terrible update. Up until a few months ago, I used this app for all my grocery and home needs regardless of whether I was near a Wegmans or not, and recommended the app to everyone. Now, the search function is awful. I looked for “Arugula “, “Arugula”, and “arugula” today and the only product that showed up was a premade sandwich with arugula pesto on it. Same thing happened with “farro” and “salad”—I was looking for the dry grain and plain salad greens, but only precooked products showed up. If the search function doesn’t improve, its back to pen and paper for me. New comment: STOP REMOVING THINGS THAT AREN'T IN STOCK. I add things to the list specifically because I need to remember them, and when they disappear from the list I don’t remember to look for alternatives! I liked the old system with “not in stock” at the bottom (even better would be to keep it sorted but notate that clearly in the list).

Online order modifications will give you heartache. I am so frustrated with the lack of sense applied with this latest update. If you, like me, tend to iterate on orders after being placed be prepared for a lot of frustration. The cart categories are lacking (no deli, for example, those items are just lumped in as "other"). The persistent search bar is NOT connected to the modify order functions so instinctually I click it to find an item and it takes me out of the order losing any changes I had made. If you are lucky enough to remember to scroll back up to click the inconspicuous "add items" button, It's a three step process to find, select, hit continue and THEN you save it to the cart. Oh and then you have to remember to apply all changes again at the very bottom of the cart screen--if you remember to scroll down and notice it, of course. They won't warn you if you leave the screen you may lose pending changes.

Missing the old app. The new version of the app is much clunkier and difficult to use. Adding an item by the “plus” symbol does nothing but add a note to the list. You can then search for this item in inventory, but once you select an option the note is still there. There’s also no longer a way to clear just the checked-off items from your list (at least as far as I can tell) — you have to individually click the trash can icon for each item you wish to remove, or clear the full list. It’s difficult to figure out how to use the features, pretty unintuitive. It’s also slow. The old app was pretty great, I wish they’d kept the same basic feature set instead of redesigning it into something more difficult to use. Wegman’s has always been my shining example of how things “just work” easily and clearly, but this app is a step backward.

Latest version is terrible. I had originally given this app 4 stars. You could easily add items, when you checked them off they greyed out the items you already picked up. Current version is slow. When you hit the giant plus sign which you would think add things to your list, it’s to create a note on the list. While notes are a good idea, not really what I would expect to be the big plus sign to be. When you’re checking items off your list, if you miss the check box it opens product details. If you’re in a crowded grocery store hitting that way too small checkbox on the go can be tricky and then you have to waste time waiting for this very slow app to load product details you didn’t actually want. Previous version you could just tap the item and it would grey out to let you know you already picked up the item. I’m going back to paper lists. I’ve given this update a month and it’s just too terrible to use.

Why?😳😭. The new app is obtuse and suffers from constipated thinking. Auto-deleting my curbside list is unforgivable. These times are stressful enough without having to use a cumbersome process to re-enter my curbside pick-up list back to my in-store list, so I guess allowing me to keep it there whilst waiting for an available slot to upen up would be just too much for the developers to wrap their process- oriented minds around. Get with the program. Some of the design has been a wee improvement. However, the walls between processes make it a soul-crushing experience. Every time I attempt to use the app, it throws another curve at me and I become furious with Wegmans for allowing such mediocre talent to represent their brand. Fix the app. Be aware of the needs of your customers. Stop implementing neato tech that serves only to frustrate the end user so you can data mine and better "target" your customers. We already love you.😠

Fantastic application. I don’t know what the critics are talking about this application is FANTASTIC!!! Not only is it easy to use, but it allows you to make a comprehensive grocery list as well as determine the cost of your bill. It goes even further than this. If you use your shoppers club card the day of a purchase, the next day under “my receipts” you can see exactly what you bought and how much you paid. This is the best grocery application on the web and believe me I have them all. Plus there are even more advantages to using the application than I have listed here. To mention just one, Wegmans will match any price you find listed in any other store. Try it and you’ll love it!!!

Non transferring and disappearing items. This was my favorite app at one time. But not so much any more. Maybe there was an update within the last six months or so? Issue 1 is that items are consistently disappearing from my list. I have learned that there is a lag time that you need to account for when adding or deleting items from your list to allow the app to catch up. However, items are just randomly disappearing from my list. They were there and then they were gone. Issue 2 is the newest thing. Today is the 3rd time it’s happened. I built my shopping list in the “in store” shopping mode and clicked the online order button to transfer it over so i can pick up my order once it’s been shopped. Only 8 of my 42 items transferred. I now have to try and recreates the list, that I have been building over a week’s time. Super frustrating and massive waste of my time. Please, please, please fix this!!!

Hopefully they can focus on their app again. The Covid mess seems to have wegmans to forget their app. Used to be very reliable. Now it shows items as not available but you get to the store and there they are on their self. One of the most beloved features was when it would pull up as the first choice items you have bought in the past. Now I just pick generic items which is frustrating as many items I want are in the specialty section. It should connect to my buying habits! Plus I like a top items I buy list so I can find what brand I bought a few weeks ago and get it again. If it was new to me and I can’t find it quick I will move on and not buy anything. Ok- one good thing is that I buy less and I buy at cheaper stores. So it does save me $. When it worked very well even my husband noticed I didn’t shop around as much because it was so convenient.

Worst app update - major reason I shop less now at Wegmans. I hate to spend extra unnecessary time and energy when grocery shopping. About coupons or store discount- The old app had the clip all option so that I could just clip all without checking which coupons I have - I do not want to know or check for a coupon!! I was happy Whichever applies to what I buy that day. This new app MAKES ME WORK EXTRA HARD to search and clip coupons! Wegmans, you must understand that you should NOT make your customer work harder at shopping at your stores. I felt some sort of arrogance in your attitude from this app. Since I got frustrated and disgusted so much now I shop more at Giant and other stores. I have a lot of choices in my area so I can live without Wegmans... I will stay away from a store that makes me have to do work for grocery shopping. By the way, how about just give discount without the coupons? Remember many customers have a lot of choices in supermarkets. We do not need to shop at Wegmans.

Changed for the worse. The app used to be phenomenal. Since the updated changes, the entire interface has changed. There is way too much going on and it is no longer user friendly. The app focuses more on delivery/curbside pick up service and links directly with Instacart. If I wanted delivery I’d just use the instacart app. Bring back the old app that your in-store shoppers used and loved!! There was absolutely nothing wrong with the app and as you see all these reviews, everyone for the most part really enjoyed it. I also read an article where the e-commerce director is for the most part dismissing all the main concerns and trying to convince everyone to embrace it. Stop trying to convince your consumers to embrace this piece of garbage and bring back the original app. The responses in that article really go to show how little you care for your in-store shoppers. For the first time, I am really disappointed in Wegmans.

New App Version a Disaster!. My wife and I been using the prior version of the Wegman’s app weekly for years and loved it. With their new version, it took about an hour just to figure out how it works and what’s broken (and I’m relatively tech savvy). In the old version, we had a master saved list, and then would create one or two lists from that for purchases for the upcoming week. They tried to automate this by creating an auto generated “My Items” list based on past purchases. While this is theoretically useful, what happens is the My Items list gets cluttered with one time purchase or substitutes made when an item was out of stock, so it is twice as long as it needs to be. The app still has saved lists. We’ve been able to create a new list name, but there doesn’t appear to be a way to copy an existing list for modification or even add one item to a new saved list, so it doesn’t even work. This is the worst update of an app I’ve ever seen. Hopefully they will revert back to the prior version.

Atrocious redesign. It’s been over a year, and the app search feature is still absurdly bad. It’s really unbelievable. There are so many products that are impossible to locate with the search feature, no matter what combination of words you type in; it’s happy to offer up mounds of unrelated things, which you have to spend minutes sifting through, only to find that, as usual, the EXACT PRODUCT YOU TYPED IN isn’t in the list. And clearly no one on the dev side is testing it, it happens way too often with very common foods and store-brand items. A few extra props for getting curbside pickup and delivery integrated into the app, but we rarely even can use these, because WE CANT BUILD THE LIST WITH THE ITEMS WE WANT BECAUSE THE SEARCH DOESNT WORK.

Update. I loved the old version of this app. I really am not impressed with this new update. The list portion lost the feature of ‘remove checked items’ so now I have to go through and individually delete each item if I didn’t buy my whole list. When I searched Jalapeño it took me to recipes automatically instead of produce. When I chose products it showed my only option as some sort of bagged jalapeño cheeto... I had to go to departments, then produce, then vegetables, then peppers, and scroll down. I wasn’t even in a ‘my items’ search because I never buy processed foods and certainly never heard of jalapeño Cheetos. I don’t like that curbside ordering and ordering online take precedence of most of the app either. All in all I really try not to use this app anymore. I make my own paper lists. But when I am away from home and think of adding something to my list this app used to be really handy. I used to use it exclusively, until the update. I was paper free! Very unhappy with the update.

New App is functionally HORRIBLE - Bring back the Original App!!!!. REVIEW #2: After update, STILL not addressing the horrible functionality. JUST GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL - I’m adaptable cut THIS APP IS TERRIBLE. Stop the torment PLEASE. Worst. App. Makeover. Ever. REVIEW #1: So much lost functionality with the new app, where do I begin?? First, it takes longer to load when opened, and navigating in general. The revamped grocery list view with a note for each item means I only see 3 items while shopping so I have to scroll up and down more - and I don’t understand why every item needs a note. I can no longer swipe to remove an item from the list. I can no longer add items automatically when I scan the barcode. I can no longer search My Products tab so, for example, when I search “burger” to find the plant-based burger I loved, I have to scroll through every relevant “burger” item sold by Wegmans until I can find the brand of plant based burger I bought previously - oh and for whatever reason in the new app doesn’t even show it as an option. This is literally the worst app makeover I have ever seen. I understand the desire to make this user friendly for ordering groceries or finding recipes, but what happened to seamless functionality for normal grocery shopping app use? For example, no swiping items - come on. That’s basic smartphone functionality. PLEASE BRING BACK THE FEATURES THAT MADE THIS APP USEFUL FOR BASIC GROCERY SHOPPING.

Good App, Needs Features Added. The Wegmans app is generally a good app and very convenient to use. My only complaints are that you cannot use a Wegmans gift card or WIC benefits in the app for checking out. It is especially inconvenient to not be able to use WIC benefits in this app since going into the store and food shopping with a newborn is very difficult. It would be extremely helpful to be able to use WIC benefits in the app for a scheduled grocery pick up. The only other issue I see with the app is that when you search for products, sometimes products that aren’t relevant come up in the search or the product you are looking for is difficult to find when using the search feature. If it weren’t for those issues I would have rated the Wegmans app as five stars.

New version terrible for in store shoppers. This new update is clearly only for people who are ordering groceries, not for people who shop in store. I used to use the list function all the time, adding things as I ran out or thought of things I might like. Now I can’t find many basic items I am used to buying in the app at all. I recognize this may be reflecting actual inventories of the store and many items are unavailable right now, but it would be better to be able to select the item you actually wish to buy and see an alert that says “may be out of stock” and then have the option to select a substitute. If I want Dawn dish soap and don’t plan to shop for a few days, I should still be able to put it on my list today even if the store doesn’t have it today. They might have it in a few days, or perhaps I can just pick a substitute when I’m actually at the store.
