Fabulous !. So excited to have this app! I literally took my receipts and took pictures from the past 9 months to catch up and get organized and voila , I had a report in less than 24 hours of all my expenses! I actually use my reports to keep track of my tax write offs being that I have a solo business . Thank you! I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could !

Not honest developer. I just dowloaded the app and was trying to test it. Took a photo of an invoice, pressed to analyze it and that was it. Got the following message: You have used up the submissions in your free account which is limited to 12 report submissions (with up to 10 receipts each) per year.. They want me to upgrade to a paid version without letting me test it. Thank you, no!

Very impressive to say the least. I have tried multitudes of expense report apps and they all have been time consuming and less than impressive. I had to force myself to use them. I don't know how ABUKAI does it but the scans/reports are incredibly accurate. One of the company's we represent has similar software recognition and it cost a fortune. You still need to proof your final report but you won't find many errors. Initially the report interface can be a bit confusing but their support could not be better. They even contacted me by phone. I now have all our employees using it. Also- I'm not aquatinted in any way with anyone who works for rABUKI company, I'm just impressed.

Best app for tracking expenses. Easy to use, fast and accurate!

Good App but ....Reactivate My Account? For what reason?. Good App!!! But I received a notification that I had ti reactivate my account even though I have used my account on this device and am a paying member. What is the reason for this? Because I have a new Ipad that the App is loaded on?

iPhone compatibility. I’ve used this program for several years and it has been phenomenal, however I recently was upgraded to an iPhone and this program no longer communicates with my work order system on the iPhone. This creates many more steps and a giant pain in the neck!

Great everyday app. This makes it a snap to collect receipts - then to align them for data entry or submission. Nothing wrong with it for private or professional use.

Cannot handle long receipts. Does not have the ability to scan long receipts

Best Customer Experience. I was having a small issue with my app and received a call from Tony the next day, problem solved. Who does that anymore? Great customer service. Also every month when I do my expenses the app is easy to use, and I receive my expense reports back the same day.

Very good but recently glitching. Easy to use which I why I paid to upgrade for annual use. Easy to upload receipts & add notes. Nice output as excel or Csv files with accompanying PDF of receipts. My boss likes the generated forms as it makes it easy for processing reimbursements. The app does a good job in reading receipts and figuring out the vendor, date, amount, and location, but I do need to double check to confirm no errors, which is typical of all these types of apps. The only negative: app recently has been glitching: randomly closes mid-use and keeps making me re-activate the app with a new activation key that gets emailed to me. Why, I don’t know, but it’s an unexpected delay in getting my report ready. If Abukai can fix the glitches, I’d give this a 5 star, which it used to be. For now, it’s a 3-star. I still recommend the app if you can tolerate these annoyances, which may not happen to you. I’m a heavy user with big batches of receipts (app allows 60 max per report.)

The best app. This is one of the best apps I've used, free or paid. I just take a picture everytime and at the end it generates such a comprehensive details, including currency conversion.

Expense report takes next day turn around. Updated 10/13: received expense report next day. Looks good. Changed from 1 star on previous review to 3. Going to give it another trial run. Original post 10/12: Took pictures of some sample receipts (3). Entered email address. Nothing happened. It has been over 10 hours. Did received an intro email that stated free up to 12 reports per year with only 10 receipts per expense report crap!

Quick and Easy. A very simple and efficient program. Makes expense reports a breeze. And great customer service if you do have an issue that comes up.

Works great. I love this app. I have been using it for 2 1/2 years and it keeps me on track and organized with my expenses. I have been in sales for over 25 years and was always struggling to keep up with getting my expenses filed on time. I was always weeks and weeks behind. Now because of this app, my expenses are done as soon as I get in the door from a trip with the click of the button. The key it taking the pic right when you get a receipt. It only takes a few seconds and is extremely accurate.

Business. Thought this company was legitimate for business but it has poor customer service, signed contract since May and still has not delivered the product. They advised what the company “needs more time to develop” gives reason to believe this is fraud company and service. I do not recommend this for business contract for many users, not sure for personal.

Great app. Easy expense reports. Takes about 24hrs to be completed and returned. It's really easy if you are always on the go. TIP: it's easier to take photos of the receipts at time of purchase.

Needs some work. I wish I didn’t just send pictures for my expense report and that it made it easier to access the receipts after you filed for the report. But I like the idea. Just needs some work.

Sending info. For materials usage / cost. Abucay : program excellent connecting all cost and materials usage on the project in a seconds . User and friendly. Recommend to use.

Great App. I have used it about 4 times and it works great. Eventually will have to pay for it and plan to do so. Saves a ton of time and it makes the entire expense report process so easy.

These guys are awesome😎. Love this app it’s made accounting super easy. Either their camera technology is freakin awesome to copy some of my receipts that are not so clear or they pay some poor sap pittins to transcribe them because they always come back looking awesome. A very good product.

Don't Count on Cusotmer Service. I find the formatting of expense reports difficult. I put brief descriptions for my expenses on my reports (Per IRS) and the options Abukai provides leave no room for comments. E-mails to customer service elicit an automatic platform response and then...nothing. They have got my $99, but I am going to keep looking for a mobile expense solution.

Flashlight Feature. The only thing I have about this app that is frustrating is the inability of turning on the flash when taking a picture. I get it, maybe go to bright room, however, the shadow of your phone often covers important info resulting in taking pictures over and over again. Just put in the ability to turn on the flash and this app is forever the most useful expense report app on the market. Would be nice to have this read and some action taken to resolve this issue.

POP UP HELL!!!. This app is unusable since it pops up a window saying turn on location services ever click. And Tips and tutorials oh my gosh... POP UP HELL!!! Yes every time I click to add an receipt or log in or process. I don't need to be told over and over and over again. And you don't need my location. That should be optional. Currently looking for a replacement app.

Best App ever. Can't live without this app. So easy to use, searchable through my emails, no scraps of paper laying around... best of all, I'm paying less taxes since it is so easy to record everything!

OMG this is miracle. First of all, whoever wrote below 5..speechless It's your camera that didn't work and blame on this incredible invention.. Oh well.. Just try not to move your hand while you're taking the pictures And I usually leave the receipt somewhere bright. I even turn on the light if my room is too dark. Oh yeah.. Also put it as flat as possible. Obviously if your receipt is rolled up then it won't work well.. Sorry guys! I know these are all common sense but I just wanted to share my small thoughts to people Who might need his info. Lastly, if you have iPhone like me touch the spot where you want to focus so it comes out crystal clear. Honestly I got it work at the first place without even using that function. So it won't be that hard. I usually never write a review this long.. U'll see why when u try this amazing app. That's how much I'm impressed with this great invention. I wonder how it could transfer the exact amount written on my invoice to many different formats like exel, pdf, etc.. I really want say thank you to the developers or whoever contributed to making this app and even letting us use it for FREE. Yes, this is free. I even feel little sorry for using it for free because I think that it deserves at least $5-10 I mean it should cost more if it came out back then when there was no smart phone apps. Great work. Can't never praise more than enough about this app. I'm going to recommend this app to my cousin after. Lol

App for only very simple paper receipts!. The premise of the app is great in terms of just take a picture and it will create the expense report. However, it cannot handle multiple pages together - breaks them into separate receipts. Neither does it maintain the order in which pictures are taken. They are all jumbled up even when taking them and not just in the final report. Also does not import the picture from IPhone or other electronic options. Have to position over a screen to take one. For simple expenses, it is able to get the final bill amount but for others need a lot of modification in the final excel report. Overall, good to only take pics of simple receipts on the move but does not solve the whole purpose.

Simple and flexible!. Love this! Photos and reports together with flexibility to add detail and manage once it's downloaded are a huge help! Staff is great about checking in to see if it's going well and answer questions so I'm sure it's developing!

Good app. Could be great. From a UX standpoint, not amazing, but from a functional standpoint it works great! I love the report it sends. I have been having a problem with "blurry" images lately, and it takes numerous tries to get a good pic. What could be causing this? I haven't had this problem previously.

So so. Might be fine for the casual traveler with simple expenses, but more complicated with splitting amounts or combining receipts doesn’t cut it. I have to look over every single number anyways. Easier for me to do it all manually.

Very easy to use, great customer service - could improve UI. Been using the app for a few months now. Great functionality, removes a lot of manual entry and data calculation. Just needs a better design for the user.

Owner. Works good to automatically turn my receipts into an excel spreadsheet but it randomly erases the notes I type in. So frustrating, it’s such a waist of time.

Use a different app. Pain in the you know what to use. Randomly duplicates receipts or loses them when you submit for approvals. Horrendous for international travel, the exchange rates are all over the place even when submitted moments after the charge took place. Do yourself a favor and use a better app.

Brilliant. Works perfectly- absolute game changer. No more hunting for receipts at the end of the month and then having to spend hours filling in a claim form at the end of the month- just snap a pic of receipts as you go and then press process at the end of the month. My favorite app!

The worst performance ever. This monstrosity will take over 48 hours of crunching for a single expense report. An extremely inflexible and on intuitive interface. Gets stuck sorting data 80% of the time.

Great expenses app. Have only used this for a month and my first attempt at using expense apps. I had been including all of my receipts and decided to produce an expense report to claim with my employer. It worked first time, with a correctly itemised spreadsheet emailed to me. I was really amazed how it converted the receipts so accurately! Something to be aware of though, is this process takes a couple of hours. A good idea to produce the report the night before an expense claim is due 😃

Life changing app. I am one of those people who have handbags, pockets, car consoles, coffee containers all bulging with receipts. Was good. Now doesn't work. I found the app to be very good. I paid for the upgrade ( not cheap ). Someone decided to do an upgrade and relaunched the app without the ability to take a picture. The camera will launch but the "clic" button has disappeared from the upgrade. Still waiting for a fix and/or refund. As of June 1,2013 camera function won't work on iPhone 5.

Great app, on paper. I selected Abukai as our small company's solution for employee expenses because of the integration with our Xero accounting system. When it works, it's great. However, the service has been plagued by glitches and bugs and usability problems. With the release of the most recent update, the app has become unusable. I'm not happy with the quality of the app, but the support has been good. The jury is still out, but I'm hopeful they can turn things around.

Simple. I have a hard time with your app since I want to input more info or see how the invoice look like after uploading but is not options at all

Quality gone WAY downhill- now a useless product. I have used this app for over a year and in the beginning it was a great timesaver and reports would come back with very few if any errors. I was an advocate and referred many people to Abukai. Now every report has 4 or 5 errors in it. Foreign currency though clearly marked on receipts is routinely not captured. Dates are incorrect. Amounts are wrong. I have completely lost trust in this product and it now takes me more time to review for errors (or correct after expense reports have been kicked back) than it ever did to do the reports by hand. Also, suddenly and for no reason I could no longer login to my account online to fix these errors and lost access to all of my previous expense reports. Reports I have paid for upfront. I have called ABUKAI repeatedly to fix this problem and can never get a live person. I have left repeated messages and no one returns my calls. Their customer service is ABYSMAL!!! This is a great idea with worse and worse execution. Growing pains?? Who knows...I would save your money until they get it together over there!!!

Don't look any further. We have tried a lot of similar apps, and there is simply no competition to this app in terms of usability, accuracy and turn-around time period. With this app ABUKAI defines the future of expense reporting, and in my opinion any finance executive who does not make investigating ABUKAI Expenses for his company a top priority is simply not on top of things. Amazing free app for a my expense reports!!!!. I travel about every other month, and this app makes my expense reports so much easier! And for my usage I never even had to pay anything! Thanks, for making this happen, ABUKAI!

This app does not truly save time!. This app costs you time because you have to snap pictures of the receipts, and wait 24 hours for the formatted results. Then, if you want to make sure it did it all correctly, you will review the formatted results. You then have to find a way to digitally sign the results which one cannot do easily from an iPhone without buying another app. Before Abukai, I snapped pictures of my receipts from my phone, entered them into a saved excel template on my phone that already had my signature in it and sent the receipts as PDF and the SIGNED excel doc to my boss right from my phone within 20 minutes. Now, I still have to review everything from Abukai AFTER waiting the 24 hour processing time and sign on a PC. THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE HASSLE AND TIME SINK. Sorry Abukai, right idea, but people are ALWAYS gonna check that their money got processed right which means they are ALWAYS going to take longer to use your app.

Must Have App. My average expense report time from start to finish was 45 minutes to an Excel spreadsheet. Now it’s 5 minutes or less. Time is money and for those sales reps or “paper” challenged people this is ridiculously easy! Thank you for this amazing app!!!

So far so good!. I drive a taxicab. This app is not specifically for this line of work, I have been trying it out to help me keep track of my business expenses. It is simple to use, and so far, it has been useful.

No more lost receipts!!. I always seem to lose the most expensive expense receipts while traveling, even after tremendous effort to keep them. ABUKAI has supplied me with an app that not only allows me to take a picture of the bill when it's presented, it also prepares the expense report for me! How can you go wrong?

Magic!!!. This is an amazing app. I just used it for the first time for my last trip to Brazil. Some how it figured it all out accurately - even the ones from Brazil and a couple that were barely legible.

This is Awesome. It sat on my phone for a while, but used it for the first time and can’t say enough good about it. Expensing is the worst part of Military Travel and this makes it a lot easier. If you want 6 stars…Link it to DTS, Defense Travel System. I’d pay money for that.

Extremely pleased with the app and service. The easiest and most affordable option for compiling expense reports. I almost didn't download it because the UI is "boring" and utilitarian compared to other services. However the service and end result is top notch and does exactly what I need it to do. Since I have multiple currencies (so recipes not always in English) this service is so valuable to me. Keep up the good work!

It works like magic!. Seriously, this app is like magic. One step to scan a receipt (on a 6s) and then one click and the report is done. I have no idea how they do it but it really is going to change how I track my business travel expenses.

Small Business owner. This is a AWSOME tool for small business with 1-50 employees. It has allow us to keep accurate record for our employees expenses and it has made it easy for them to be able to enter there expense reports. And no more lost receipts. Cuts way down on the mistakes from entering manually from the receipt.

Saves hours every month. I save probably 5 hours every month since I don't have to search for my expense report receipts, type them into an excel spreadsheet, double-check everything and then submit it to my boss. Abukai does all of that for me. I especially like the new user interface since organizing my receipts is even easier. Great job!

Mr Expense Report gives this $$$$$. My nickname is Mr Expense Report, partly for the number of reports I file at once simply because I dislike the whole process. This app makes doing expense reports so easy, I am getting them done within a day or two of completing a business trip. Not to mention the reports I would have forgotten or just never expensed, like local lunches with client or business partners. This helps a ton and they are very responsive to any requests. Sure I wish it had other features (which I have suggested) but as it stands today I am very happy!

One word..."Amazing". "50 Stars" This app is a must have app if you have to fill out expense reports. Being on the road is hard enough without trying to keep track of a zillion little paper receipts and if you do manage to keep them all by the time you waste a ton of time getting them organized and ready to fill out your report they are all wrinkled, tore and faded so badly you can't read them any way. With ABUKAI Expenses one picture and you are done, push the info to ABUKAI, check your email awhile later and your report is not only done it makes you look like a financial genius to your finance department with outstanding spread sheets and back up PDF files ta-boot. Love love love this app!. Don't know how they generate these reports but am thrilled with how easy it is to scan and receive an email copied to my husband and attach the PDFs for the receipts for safeKeeping. I do Find the subscription price a bit expensive but so far the free app has been sufficient.

Great app. For mobile professionals who cringe every time they need to prepare an expense report, Abukai is a great solution. This app allows you to keep up with your expenses by snapping an image of the receipt as it is incurred and notating the details. At the end of the week or month, send the file to Abukai and they return an excel spreadsheet with all the details which were entered previously. Been using it for over a year and highly recommend it.

Saving me time and money. I hate doing travel expenses! I travel a few times a month, and am the worst at taking the time to scan receipts, do reports, etc. With this new app, I am capturing my receipts while traveling, then receiving the report back in email at the end of a trip when I submit it. It's great! I am very impressed. I even just had an international trip to London, and this app accurately scanned the receipts, reported them in GBP AND converted them to USD using exchange rates for the day. Well done ABUKAI!

Where have you been all my professional life??. If you don't have the luxury of a corporate card have to endure the pain (1st world problem pain) Of entering your own expense reports this is the app for you.

Excellent app. For what I use it.... It works great!!! Would live to have our company do the actual custom expense report...but we are doing something else. Does a great job of putting everything in the excel, data formats...as well as creates the PDF. It makes it real easy to use the generic expense report and for me to use as a guide to input into our company format and attach the PDF doc. Excellent timesaver and makes the cumbersome burden of doing expense reports more tolerable. I highly recommend!!!!

I love it!!!!. This app saves soo much time. I save all my receipts in an envelope then take pictures of them.... Then click process. A couple hours later my expense report is complete. Takes a minute or two to review and it is almost always 100% correct. Thank you!

Best in- class application. Absolutely the best app I use- super easy and efficient. My expense reports are complete and ready to submit before I get back in the office. Only an occasional edit is required. Saved me several times after losing a receipt. Love this utility and have gotten several others to try it.

Great app.. I use it as a pastor to track church purchase on church credit card. It calculates and sends a copy to my email and my treasurer. Been using it for 6 months now and it takes clear pics of the recipes and creates a nice and neat report.

AMAZING!- I am the worst (the worst) at doing my expenses until I found Abukai!. Amazing…I am in ahhhhhh still. I have been looking for the right program for the past month and I don’t know why I passed this one because its the only one that worked the way it said it would. I tried 4 other programs all of them reputable but were slow in processing the report or something was wrong with their “server” either way I can’t take any more chances with expenses than I already do. The ultimate test for me was a receipt that I couldn’t even read unless looking at it super close because the ink on the printer was so light. The second was a receipt that someone had put a happy face over most of it and you had a hard time seeing the totals. A couple others as well. The bottom line I got the email from Abukai and I seriously doubted they would get these right because they were next to impossible to figure out by the human eye. They got it right 100% it was perfect. My mind is made up… I travel for work and will never share with anyone how much money I have had to pay myself because I lost the receipt. NEVER AGAIN!

C.F.O./C.O.O.. Many "5 star" reviews of various products I see are not necessarily that useful of products. Abukai is revolutionary. I see this as a huge wave of the future. Why would people go through the normal hassle of filling out long Expense Forms when there is a program like Abukai which uses the convenience of a smart-phone taking pictures of receipts, along with crazy smart OCR, to essentially automate them? For any decent sized business, you need to get it customized for you. But it's not that expensive, and the staff at Abukai are amazingly responsive. They did a lot of back and forth work with me to get mine working almost exactly the way I wanted. They can take virtually any existing Expense Form format and have Abukai fill in the receipt info based on your Abukai photo of the receipt plus any codes or descriptions you add. They can even include all the needed info for business mileage reimbursement from a handwritten (and it doesn't have to be perfect writing!) piece of paper, calculate the total for each trip and add it to your Expense Form!

Love it. I am a very busy medical doctor. I travel to dozens of places on a daily basis. As busy as I am it is very difficult to maintain receipts. Brilliant!!. I just started using this app. So far I think it's fabulous! Now, No more paper receipts in my pockets at the end of the day. Just snap a pic then it's all taken cared of! Although i I'd like to see it be able to combine reports together to get multiple months average... But not a big deal. Easy enough to do that on my own!

Good App. GREAT Customer Service. I love the app and it's idea! Love being able to photograph the receipt and being done with it. Thanks developers! Now come up with a way to take a picture of statements and paperwork than can be organized and easily found by a search option so I can throw out all my paperwork in my office:)

Great service. I've been looking for something fast and easy while traveling and sophisticated enough to streamline the time required to do my expenses, and this is it. OCR is fantastic and whatever additional human intervention they use to calculate a report is borderline magical. Thanks for saving me hours!

Very useful app. I have just started using this app for my expense reports in my startup business. With just me, it's very helpful to not have had to create my own expense form or manually enter all the data. Just snap pictures of the receipts and the report creates itself. I do have to fix things every now and then, but that's still MUCH faster than having to enter all the data myself. Highly recommended.

Irreplacable. Great app for easily capturing traveling expenses b taking a picture of the receipt and then optionally adding a note to it. The way it is then processed and you receive a xls file with all your detailed expenses and a pdf with images of the receipts to tie back to the expense. Awesome. Worth going the pro version.

Best expense app, ever!. I have used several expense apps, all of them similar: take a picture of the receipt, upload, and fill out the expense report later. I never was impressed with any of those, since I still had to type out each expense entry, and sometimes limited to using a bad interface. This is where Abukai is different. I was skeptical at first, but in the last 4 months plus of using it, it has recognized my receipts, even hand written ones, and generated spreadsheets with each entry categorized! I have spent zero time filling out expense reports in the last few months. Any time I get a receipt, I just take a picture of it, and throw it away. At the end of the week, I just press "submit", it uploads all of my scanned images, and a few minutes later, I get an email with attachments (xls, csv, and pdf). I am amazed that an app of this quality is free!

Expense Report? DONE. Easy to use, takes the hassle out of creating an expense report. My company loves how it matches the receipts to the report (easy to read, saves time not turning in a Baggie of receipts to let them sort thru). The best app out there for expense reports! Great job, keep it up

Solid, fast, easy. I tried Magic something or another, wasn't smooth, tried shoeboxed-too complex. Will try receipt bank next. But so far this is easy, quick, I seem to get my expense reports back faster than any of the others. Had no issues, figured it all out on my own. Simple, No fancy stuff all over the place, I think that's why the others are so confusing.

Not exactly 12 free reports.. It was not explained that the expense reports have a maximum amount of receipts. After you reach that maximum then it counts as an additional report.
