Useless. Cannot set location. Shows only airports. In info it explains that one should touch the location button ,but the button does not exist that i can find on my iPad

Retina display update?!!. The app looks so poor on my retina display! Please update and I will give 5 stars.

Nice graphics. At first I got a no-data error; after a few attempts the wind data was back online. So I'm jumping my rating from 1 to 4 stars because the graphics are great, now that it is useable. I plan to use this for paragliding and hang gliding as a quick check on local wind reports; so the moving compass is a nice feature.

Doesn't show any wind or weather data!. I bought this as part of an app bundle - (I wanted the Sun Seeker app, which has a bit of a learning curve but is amazing! Figured I'd spend a little more to get this and Moon Seeker). This app was not ready for release. There is absolutely NO DATA displayed - no wind, no temp, humidity - nothing! Also, while there is a Locations button (implying that you can save locations) there is no way to save a location! I'm really hoping they provide a bug fix update quickly. As it stands now this app is just an expensive map.

Would be better if.... I downloaded this app to use with my students and it's very nice for what it is. Since I had to pay for it, I would like a little more info (temp, precipitation, etc.). It would also be nice if people could submit their own data...if there was a way to work that out.

Up on deck. Great app, works as advertised, now if the developer can tune this app to show rain or snow precipitation, it would be a step in the right direction, another possible addition would be to show wind chill.

Fantastic!. It’s no surprise that this app is well put together and very useful. I also have another app by this developer (“Sun Seeker”) and it’s quite superb as well. Keep up the great work Dev team!

Need more locations. Don't understand why the data for the largest city in Maine, portland has no data, but Sanford which is in the middle of nowhere is listed. This app is virtually useless to me till more locations become available. Gave it 2 stars because the display/graphics are nice. I'll re-rate if more locations are added.

This app is pretty much worthless for sailing.. I purchased this app on the recommendation of a fellow yacht club member who proclaimed to me that it gave wind speed and direction based on noise through the mic and that it was very accurate. As I stupidly trusted his recommendation I didn't read the description to find that it really just took local weather station data and displayed it on the screen over a compass with a wind speed. A tell tale and a hand bearing compass (or the compass on your iphone) will give you better data on wind direction because they are relevant to your condition and apparent wind at the time. I suppose if you want a quick idea of what the wind is doing without gong outside this might be able to give you a general idea, but that's about it and free weather apps will give you a whole forecast including current and forecasted wind. This is a big waste of money. IF they were to develop a fairly accurate algorithm for estimating wind speed based on mic noise this app would be worth $2.

Use weekly. Use it for sailing, garden planning and picking tent sites while backpacking. Very useful app.

Used in planning disaster relief efforts. We do disaster relief and use See Breeze in planning our daily activities. I love the option to choose data source location and always find one close to where we are deployed. Fantastic app!

No 3D view of Wind. This developers other apps sun seeker and moon seeker rock! They have a 3D view meaning wherever you are the app figures it out and shows you the location of the sun or moon and data. Those are AR apps. This app is just not as good. 1. The map location fails to show the wind in any view 2. The wind display is overlaid on a black screen which is not AR it’s just a simple compass view. 3. The location identifier is not precise. It shows you in a city zoomed out and then you have to zoom down to your location (which is lame, the app should know where I am relatively and show me the data surrounding me) In my opinion this app is maybe 1 step better than Dark Sky or general apps for wind. It focuses on macro data and doesn’t help you visualize it well. But as a stand-alone app doesn’t do what other wind apps do in App Store and doesn’t live up to expectations set by Sun Seeker or Moon Seeker.

What were they thinking?. Went from a great icon to one of the worst ever. I used to keep it on my home screen. Now I hide it in a "folder of shame". They must have hired a new art director just out of school. ... Anyway nice app, does what it claims well. Fix the icon and you get 5 stars again.

Great, informative and versatile. Not too sure what some of the negative reviews are about, but this app shows prevailing wind speed, gusts, graphic direction, augmented reality winds, temperature, relative humidity, wound data for your entire region, fast switch between reporting stations to be displayed on main display, how recent the data is (usually a matter of minutes), and probably a lot more that i have yet to tinker with! I personally have had this app for what i think have been 2 - 3 years now and love it! Maybe the negative reviews are from an area not covered, like the moon?

More of a novelty.... I decided to cough up the cash, after seeing a fellow kite flier's review. The flat compass with the wind direction blowing across it is slick, along with temp and relative humidity. The 3D view seems more of a novelty, but is well done. I use the Weather Channel app more so, but combine the two and I know exactly when to head out for single line and stunt kite flying.

RCW. A must have App for any weather watchers. I use it daily, not just locally (Cairns) but for quick and accurate updates from Brisbane and Canberra. I rate it a full five stars.

Awesome!. Use everyday for Sunshine Coast Qld. Predict pending wind changes by viewing nearby observation stations too.

Fast and accurate. Really like this app. It is quick to get the latest info and the 3d view is actually quite useful even if you aren't directionally challenged. Possible improvements for perfection is to report minimum wind speed as well. The min value is quite important especially in low wind and very gusty conditions (there is no app that currently supports this anywhere including online but the data is available at least in Australia. A key for the windspeed indicators on the map would also be useful but these are both small tweaks. I have about 7 wind apps installed and I use this one all the time (several times a day if I am hopeful of getting out on the water).

Paddle well. Nice app for paddlers. Augmented reality nice touch. Needs Select a location Would be great to take a picture through 3d viewer. 3d viewer nice to include wind speed with the arrows. Great app.

Not happy. if you live anywhere out side of Sydney there are no readings. Yes I would agree that this app is a good idea. But the 3d side to this hole app does not work at all you can get an idea of what it is supposed to do but it just does not do it. Note to developer: you have done 2 updates since I purchased this app but none of them deal with the fact that the 3d wind is incomplete so the app does not do what it is advertised as.

Superb, unique app. The simplicity of this app is deceptive; this is one of the most impressive pieces of augmented-reality I've seen. To see the wind in visible, animated form in 3D overlay on the camera view is amazing - a kind of fusion of science fiction with the natural world. Remarkably, it's also practical. I've already found to be handy more than once in the few days since I installed it. Recommended.

How do I get out of 3d view. And no forecast capability....

Not bad. It's a app where simple is definitely better. I used it in Australia and on my travels overseas. Incorporating the iPhone camera was a brilliant idea.

Improvements Needed. Needs an option to manually select location. Then it would be of some real benefit. Idea is great.

Time to fix the shortcomings. The program has lots of potential, but a few things need to get updated. The location information (on the iPad WiFi) is only as accurate as the WiFi location in some global database. There should be a manual location feature to enable the user to choose other regions. Another annoyance is that the compass north always points the same direction on the iPad, that is up with the iPad in portrait mode, but to the right if the iPad is in landscape mode. Why can't this important indicator change aspect? It was really confusing at first. I hope the developer hasn't given up, but I think anyone considering a purchase should wait to see if updates are in the works.

Excellent App.. I use this app at least once a day to check current wind direction and speed. It is simple, well designed, stable and reliable. Forecasts are one thing but actual conditions now are what I want to know. Could be improved by providing an option to view wind direction in degrees rather than just the current arrangement of describing direction in letters representing words, (N, SE, NW). Thus a Southerly (S), wind direction could alternatively be viewed as 180 degrees.

Getting there. Yes, needs the option to manually select other locations. You may be heading off somewhere and want to know the conditions there. Also ability to predict would make this a truly awesome app... A killer app even. Right now, I can stick my finger up in the air and feel the wind direction and approximate strength. This app is currently offering the same options. I love the idea... Just take it a little further to succeed.

Good for a start. Good app - although I am a little disappointed that it doesn't offer 7 day wind forecasts like your internet site. Yes, I agree that it needs the option to manually select a location. Also, doesn't explain what RH stands for.

Badly needs an update for 4th gen iPod Touch. I like the concept of the app, but after I downloaded it, and attempted to sync with my 4th gen iPod Touch, iTunes said the app wasn't compatible with it. Please do update the app, as the 4th gen iPod Touches have cameras too. I'll hang onto it for now in my app library.
