Please don’t make me watch it.. My sister has seen it and whenever I see it, I can’t get it out of my head so plz shut down for good.

Not working. I just downloaded the app but there is no volume. I made sure my phone is on the highest plus I shut off and turn back on phone and still no volume.

No sound. I'm followed the instructions, made sure the sound was on, etc. but still no sound! The other Apps in the bundle work fine, would be nice to use this one too! Please find the problem and do an update so we can enjoy this app! Thanks!

No Sound! Nov 2023. After reading the reviews I made the purchase anyways thinking the problem surely would have been fixed by now. How are they selling an app with no sound??? Wish I could get a refund!

No sound. I uploaded this app today and there is no sound. I thought the issue may have been with older devices but this is an ios 6th gen ipad that is running on the most updated softwear 🤦🏼‍♀️! Any resolution to this problem?

No sound. I have gone though all of the tips provided by app support and still no sound.

Sound is an issue, even with troubleshooting. I am uninstalled and reinstalled this app several times, I cannot get sound on it. I have tried all of strategies from website. I have had to remove from iPad bc I have a student with special needs who cannot handle seeing it as an option and having it be broken. As an educator who spent her own funds on this, it’s terribly frustrating.

No sound. Please release a fix for this

No Sound Problems. Works great!

No sound!. Seriously!!! Wth! There is no sound on this app! Do not buy! I want my money back!

Sound is not working!!. Is there anyway I can be refunded. I checked the settings on my iPhone13 to make sure volume was not on silenced and turned of my focus notifications, still no sound! Very disappointing.

No sound. Still no sound playing

Great learning tool. My daughter loves Super Why! and loves this game. She has been using it extensively for the past few days and we have had zero crashes. There are essentially 4 games to choose from which vary in difficulty - just like the show - from identifying letters, and identifying letter sounds in the context of actual words, to rhyming, writing, and completing sentences. Those familiar with the show will immediately recognize the formats. You are rewarded with "stickers" when you successfully complete the tasks. My ONLY complaint is that there isn't more content. I didn't actually count but there may only be up to 20 scenarios for each game. My daughter doesn't seem to mind, but i wish there was more. Maybe in an ads-on later...

No sound. There is no sound when using the app. I have an iPad 6th gen and before the “developer” replies to my comment asking whether or not I have the audio setting on and my volume up, YES! It’s on max! Other apps work on my child’s iPad with no issue. Fix your app to work properly when paying customers spend money to use your product. Free games have no issue with sound and your app that has a cost to it doesn’t work at all? Ridiculous

great app. Not sure about the problems with loading but we had no problems. also one reviewer mentioned the the wand in the tracing, it could be that you need to trave in the correct format / order and I can see for beginniners that might be frustrating so maybe some prompts if you dont get it the first time would be helpful. My kids love this app. It has something for everyone. It is too easy for my 7 year old but still he likes to help the little ones. Nice app, thumbs up.

Still no sound as of January 10, 2019. My PBS station just sent out a newsletter that recommend this app, so even though I read the reviews, I assumed this had been fixed. I do kind of resent paying money for something that just doesn’t work. Is there something that can be done? A refund perhaps? Or possibly fixing the problem that seems to be long-standing? I’m a little disappointed that PBS sent out a newsletter to recommend an app with such terrible reviews. iPhone version 11.4.1

Super Why Bundle. This is a great app. For reference this app is running on IPad 7 generation. The visual, sound, and the os work smooth on the iPad no bugs, delays, load speed or sound issues. Super Why from PBS is one of my daughter favorite shows and she love being part of their adventure. She picking up spelling, letter identification, sounds, and all around enjoys this app. This is a great app and the bundle packet is a great value. Would recommend to any parent looking for a high quality beginners reading and spelling game.

slow, redundant and expensive; better apps out there.... Hate to say this, as my 2-1/2 yr old daughter loves super why, but this app is not worth $3.99, probably not even worth $.99... First, the app is slow to start (how many developer logos do we really need to see?) and move through games (there's a robotic dull feel to it). For reference, it's about half as fast as the tv series, which my daughter follows just fine. Second, the app is redundant. I've seen the same rhyming words and the same alpha pig words repeatedly, which, again, gets boring quickly. And third, the app just isn't well executed. The letter writing is poorly executed (much better, cheaper apps out there for this), the story fill in is only interesting if you intentionally pick the wrong words, which is a little confusing, and the sticker rewards are just lame. Couldn't the stickers be like super letters that are used later to more productive ends? Overall the app has potential with refinements and expanded content, but for now, it's relegated to the 'no, not that one' category, which defeats its educational purpose.

FIXED!!!NO SOUND. So I had just added a bad review for this because of all the reviews with sound issues. I’ve never left a bad review and was really surprised PBS still had an app with such long standing issues. So I did some comments research. Came across one comment that said the issue is that if your phone’s mute button is on then the app sound is also off. Tried it-SOUND FIXED. So happy to have randomly come across this one comment. So I changed my review from 1 star to 4. It doesn’t get 5 though because this is a long standing issue and so this fix should be pinned to the top. I’m relieved to have found such a simple fix. Hooray!

Super Why No Sound.. I purchased the 3 app bundle of Super Why and my son loves playing although out of the 3 this app does not have any sound which discourages him and he cries rather than playing, would like to see an update to correct this issue of which appears to be ongoing.

No sound. As the other two reviews say. There's no sound. I thought it was because my daughters iPad is a first generation, but it doesn't work on my iPad Pro either. Yes I have checked the volume on my device. It's not working on apple products. It does work on my daughter's new kindle fire.

Crashes. Crashes on load. Never gets past 87%. Been like that for months.

How to fix the sound problem. Turn silent mode off and it should be fixed.

Volume. On one of the three games the sound does not work (Superwhy) I’ve tried everything and I’m verry upset there’s nothing it will let me do to fix it first time paying for a game and it doesn’t work !

Half loading. Crashes before the game even opens.

No sound.. I stupidly purchased without reading the reviews, just relying on PBS Kids’ reputation. There is no sound. The games are set up so that sound is essential. What a rip off.

No Sound!!. I’ve purchased the app but there is no sound. I’m using an IPhone X.

Great for preK. I didn't have any trouble installing, but there are still a couple bugs I noticed. When tracing letters, sometimes the contact is lost and my daughter has to keep tracing, but that's not so bad... Can just be frustrating for a little one that may feel like they're not doing it correctly. A HUGE thumbs up for the spelling section. Many other preschool spelling apps do not require for children to place letters in the correct order. Really? As far as I know, cat is not spelled t-c-a, which is how my little girl spelled it and got a "sticker" for it. I love coaching her with phonics and spelling, but we both enjoy a game she can play independently. When spelling words, she must first identify the letter that makes the (blank) sound. When the correct letter is found (chosen from a group of 4), the letter is identified and the child traces the letter... It is then placed in the correct position and then proceeds to repeat until the word is spelled correctly. Lots of stickers and positive verbal reinforcement. Only downed it a star, because I feel that after all the technical issues that have been reported, they should fix the bugs or lower the price. Still worth it as long as it works.

No sound. Cant play with no sound!

Fun app but a little buggy.... My 3 yr olds really like the fun and educational games. However, it would be nice if the app was a little more stable - an accidental double click to start a game instead of a single sometimes leads to a crash. The letter writing functionality could also use some tuning - the "how to" animations take too long and it can be unnecessarily frustrating for even a grown up to trace letters the "correct" way. Also wouldn't mind a bit more variety in the content - it seems like we keep getting the same stories coming up over and over again. With some tweaks, this could be a 5 star.

SUPER Super Why for IPad. Already had this on my EVO 4G so I knew the basics. My 2 yr old grandson basically learned letter recognition etc. from the Super Why TV show, so this has now become his favorite go to when he needs to entertain himself, like the long ride to NanaPa's house! (Or the periods of times when Nana & Grandpa are boring!) The program loaded in seconds (I have a fast wifi connection) and ran flawlessly so I have no Idea what the other reviewers problem was....I did learn on "the other side" that it is best to dl it with wifi.... The app itself is built on the 4 strengths of the 4 characters. Alpha Pig's is the easiest and best to start with. Like the TV show, you follow the road and choose the correct path by choosing the correct letter. Even Wonder Red's Rhyming words was enjoyable for him, by substituting letter recognition for rhyming recognition. All in all it is a very enjoyable app that should bring hours of fun and learning to any Super Why fan... And even though it is cheaper on the other platform, playing it on an IPad is by far a superior platform and easier.. And the letter tracing it much better on the IPad.

No sound. After a year of people reviewing the sound doesn’t work, one would think it would have been fixed. Clearly not. Sound works just fine on the other two apps that came in the bundle, but not this one. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still doesn’t work. I’ll be asking Apple for a refund. I would have expected more from a PBS sponsored app.

App keeps crashing. App keeps crashing. Don't know what to do what I want my money back.

Not all bundle apps loaded. I bought the $7.99 bundle, but the ABC Adventures on didn’t load (it said that it couldn’t). I deleted it so I could try reinstalling it. But when I went into the App Store, it’s that I never bought it. (The other two were there) Help please!

Used to be great. I bought this app 4 years ago, when my oldest daughter was 4. She loved the show, and I loved the pre-reading and writing skills it taught. She loved the app and played it many times. I wish there were more options for each character, because she did every level pretty quickly. Considering I paid for this app, I thought it would offer more. Fast forward, my next daughter is 5. She has occasionally played the games in the past year (2 or 3 times, is all). Today she tried to play, and there is no sound!! It makes playing rhyming games and matching letters to sounds impossible. very disappointed.

Wonderful!. My 20 month old daughter loves Super Why! I love the educational component and how it keeps her attention in an interactive way. The messages are very positive and I love that it teaches kids to look to books to solve their problems in a constructive manner. This app is a wonderful extension of that with the ability to practice the alphabet, spelling, rhyming, reading and even writing their letters. This was worth every penny and I hope to see more PBS apps in the future!

NO SOUND 2023. No sound

No sound. The app has no sound despite the preview showing it should have sound. Please fix or give refund.

I love this app it is very fun. I love this app.

Still No Sound on iPhone. Just purchased the app and the sound isn’t working. I assumed the problem had been fixed given the prior reviews complaining about the sound issue. Anything we can do to fix? Version 12.1.4

?. No sound!

No sound. Need a refund

The Power to Read!. I'm not sure where my 2 year-old heard of Super Why!, but he kept talking about it until I finally bought him some episodes on iTunes. Since he's now always play-acting the scenes, I tried to find the music on iTunes, and discovered the app instead. It's brilliant! Not only does it do a great job of embodying the various characters, they've come up with a really useful and engaging way to teach basic reading skills. For example, Princess Presto's "letter tracing" game is far simpler for my son than the full-fidelity Montessori version. At this rate, he should be reading before he turns three! :-)

No sound. Daughter loves super why but there is no sound

LOVE THIS APP. You have to turn your sound on in order to hear it. So switch the little switch on the left top side of your phone and you’ll have sound. I literally bought this app three years ago and both my kids still love it. Perfect for 18 months to four years!! Love! Highly recommend

No sound. We are in the same boat as the other reviewer’s. We cannot access the sound for this app. I hope they update it and push the upgrade.

Super why Power to read... no sound. I just bought the bundle. I’m also having issues with it.. the super why power to read game have no sound. Please have this issue resolve ASAP. I purchased the bundle and I’m really disappointed that I didn’t get what I paid for

No sound on ios10. Same issue...no sound regardless of settings

Waste of money. I can’t believe I paid for an app that won’t even properly work because the sound isn’t functioning. This is such a waste of money. Tried it on my iPad and sound doesn’t work despite being all the way up. Tried it on my phone and it has other issues.

Needs some parental options. I purchased this app for my three year old daughter who knows her letter names, letter sounds, and some sight words. She loves the tv show and will enjoy the game. The games stay true to the objective of the tv show. I hope in future updates that they give the parent the option to turn off the background music (it gets annoying pretty fast!) and would also like the option for the user to able to tap on the word in some of the games to have the word spoken for them (then have the user drag and drop the word). Had I known that these options were not available I may have held off on the app purchase. Maybe I'll have her use headphones for now!

Completely satisfied. After searching the app store for what seemed like forever, my autistic son and I found what her describes as "the only app that's cool" Thank you to the producers of this app.

Unlike the original. I'm disappointed to say this but I was happy to find this app because my daughter loves this show on tv and has learnt from it every time it's shown and I though it would help more on her reading skills plus to be more confident to learn how to read with fun activities. Unfortunately after I downloaded this app, I noticed that unlike to original tv series its voice illustrations aren't in 'English' accents but 'American' accents! Not pleased by that because it has slowly introducing my daughter to speak with an American accent when we are not american, especially since it is or was an English production. I don't want to remove this app just because it's now American produced but because it can still help her improve her reading. Please try to improve this somehow. Thanks.

Very ordinary. A waste of money, slow to respond to answers, frustrating to every child who has played it on this ipad!

Super why. This app is educational and fun but it has TWICE frozen my iPad, the last time for five hours. The pbskids logo screen could only be unfrozen by allowing the battery to run down completely.

No Sound. Sound does not work. I’ve tried a few different things to fix it with no success

Sucks. Super why is so stupid they dumb they ugly gross

App has no sound. Have followed all the steps provided to fix this issue but there is no sound on two of the super why apps we purchased.

Disappointed. My son earned a bunch of "stickers" and he has only 5 that he can use. Why say you earned sticker only to have no sticker available. The second problem is the spelling princess. The pauses in-between instructions take so long that my son tries to get the app to do something before you can. The letter tracing that follows is difficult that free apps do a better job. The reading, rhyming and word pig are good though.

Sound does not work. Spent $5 on an app that is useless because all the instructions are verbal it doesn't play the sound. My daughter is very disappointed and I'm unimpressed. Don't waste your money.

3 1/2 year old loves it.. Our 3 1/2 year old has taken a huge interest in reading and he loves this app. For the low cost if he moves on to other things I’m not so worried, and in the meantime he has learned about rhyming and is practicing sounding letters out.

Super Why are you using dated stories?. Overall the app is good and has kept my 5 year old busy. I found the stories to be "dated". There is a glitch of sorts on one of the stories, it stops loading. It's better than some of the other games and kids relate to the characters. Aa little expensive for a basic app.

Sound doesn’t work.. Don’t download. Waste of $5.

Is pretty good. Both my boys (2 and 4) love Super Why. I found version 1.2 to be a little unstable. Also expected more games for the price. There are 4 games but the number of variations seem limited. It is a little thing but Pig sounds like Red, as if they could not get right voice actor for the game. For someone who has seen a LOT of Super Why episodes, it is a little distracting. But the game is a favourite here due to the fact this is their favourite tv show.

S. App has no sound. Disappointing.

Great. This is an amazing game for young kids. A great game for a great price that is a great learning tool..........great.

Unstable but has potential. The game is a little unstable in this version. Had some crashes. Needs a bit more variety in the game but otherwise a good game

Not working. Sound is not working in this app. Very disappointing. Hopefully resolved soon

Should be a Universal App. This app should be universal. It's ridiculous that the developer has created 2 versions: one for iPhone/ iPod touch and another for iPad; when one universal app could have done. Other developers have done it. For the times that I don't have my iPad but have my iPhone I would like to have this app in my pocket for my kids but I'm not about to pay for it twice. For this reason I'm giving it 3 stars.

Just like the show!. If your child likes the show, then they will enjoy this game. Each of the four characters have their own game type just like their little segments in the show. Winning "stickers" of the different characters in each game allows you to use them in a fun fifth area. Your child can place these stickers on to several different backdrops with a touch. My kid really enjoys this game and it's also a great learning experience.

Don’t download. Sound doesn’t work. Not sure how to get a refund

Great potential.. My four year old seems to really like this app and I think it has good potential as an educational game. The "earning a sticker" concept is Ingenious; he loves that part of it. The games are fairly simple...I think ages 4/5 are about right for this app, I can't imagine kids with true reading ability being very engaged by this one. We haven't had any stability issues yet, fingers crossed, so no complaints there!

Could be better. My 3year old son loves Super Why, so I got this game for him. It's ok but could be better. It's a little limited and response on the tracing of letters is horrible.

Needs work. App is slow, lags, glitches. My 3.5 year old had a difficult time tracing the letters as the game isn't very touch sensitive and doesn't work well for left-handed kids. Has potential but needs some work.

My 4-year-old son loves this game. Super Why appeals to my four-year-old on several levels. The games are a lot like those on the T.V. show, with focus on letter recognition, phonics and sight-reading. He likes playing the games and earning stickers for completing each one. At the end of each session he goes into the sticker album and creates pictures with the new stickers he has earned. He asks to play almost every day. It hasn't crashed so far, but I didn't give it 5 stars because it allows both "C" and "K" to appear as choices when the child is asked which letter makes the sound of a hard "C". My son picked the "K" and was confused when the game said it didn't make that sound. Other than that, we highly recommend this game!

Meh. Good graphics but slow and limited in content. Not worth 3.99. Would like a 3 dollar refund.

Great!. I tried this out in the apple store and it worked great! I guess they worked out all the bugs/crashes people complained about in a lot of the reviews. My kids (3 and 4) both LOVE this app and beg me to use it daily. Time will tell but I feel they are learning something from it as well!

Great for 18 month old!. This is a fun app for my 18 month old daughter. She loves this app. When supplemented with the TV program you have a few extra options for learning the alphabet. She can differentiate between letters. The developers could expand the app dictionary. There have been a lot of repeats.

Just what I wanted!. So, despite being a little buggy, this app is great! My 4 year old daughter hopped on and started working on spelling, phonics, and reading right away. Rewarding the player with stickers gives the learner some extra motivation. Graphics are great, user interface is well done, but there are a few bugs left to work out. Very happy to support public broadcasting with this $3!!! application!

My kids love this app.. I have a preschooler and a 1st grader. They both love this game. This is mostly review for the first grader but he always finds rhyming challenging. My preschooler is actually learning a lot from this. But the key is the both WANT to play this game and will choose it on their own if left with the iPad.

Bravo !!. For toddlers, attention span is a key issue when trying to teach reading, phonics, etc.. That is why cute, well done, interactive games like these are so useful. The instant fedback they provide, and positive reinforcement, is essential to learning and retention of important elements of language.

Room for improvement for the price. I know this is based on the show but for the cost they should make it more user educational friendly. I've found many educational apps that offer these options for a lot less $$. For example a setting option to allow change from uppercase to lowercase letters, and also highlighting the words as read to help build sight word recognition, and if possible the option to highlight as pressed by the user as they reread the sentences.

No Sound!. We installed this app on my daughter's iPad and there is no sound. I tried all the fixes listed for this app and nothing worked. Now trying to get a refund. This app is super junk.

Wait for the Update. This is the only appliaction that has frozen my iPad. Could do nothing but a forced turn off - long hold on the top bottom then push the home button. Mutiple crashes. A real dissapointemt to my 3.5 year Grandson who is a big Super Why fan.

Great for teaching. It's a great tool for teaching. My two year old especially likes the alpha pig game. He did learn a few alphabets from playing this game. However, this app crashes a lot. I really do mean a lot. It crashes at least once every time I play it with my kid. Another issue is more of an annoyance. The back arrow is too big. My kid always tap on it by accident and sometimes he would get frustrated because he lost his alphabets!

Great!. It's the show broken down into individual practicing in your child's hands. They'll love it.

Very Short Game that crashes often. The game crashes frequently. The game itself has very limited content. It took less than 30 minutes of game play before my son began going through the same word and story questions.

Slow paced and boring. I wish this app was more of a faster paced game. The students even said "it takes too long between each word". And it does take far too long! This isn't an app malfunction issue, it's the design of the game. This is turn makes for a boring app with boring activities. The students played for a few minutes before asking to play something else. I'm totally bummed because I bought the bundle and I had high hopes! :-/

Great learning app. My son loves this. It's helping him learn how to read. The program has runs flawlessly for me. Keep up the good work PBS.

Great. I was surprised to see people that complained of not being able to download. I had no problem. Could some have been trying to download the I-phone app instead. Anyway I really wanted to post favorable information. Our autistic child loves super Why and so she is having a grand time with this app. She is not verbal(yet) so apps like this that encourage spelling and reading are great! I hope this helps others. Thanks

Great app with a few bugs.... The app is great, getting kids to spell and read is awesome. But it does crash sometimes and I've found that the place to choose something is often to the right of the actual word or picture that you should be touching. It also seems to lock up sometimes, so you can't trace the letter. It frustrates my son that I have to restart the app to make it work again. I wish these weren't issues because this would be a 5 star app if it weren't for the bugs.

Crashes too much. I have this app for my iphone and my son loves it. I downloaded the ipad version for the nicer HD experience. Same great learning game, with one exception- it crashes all the time! Please fix this and this will be a 5-star app.

Why Writers. I love this app. I'm a teacher and mom of a 2 year old. I love that all points of reading are covered - word families, spelling, comprehension, and letter recognition! I would LOVE to see in the "Why" game were when Why is reading the sentence, the words highlight so the kids can follow along (as in Why Writers' Highlight). Also, when you choose the wrong word, it would be nice to be able to touch the sentence to hear it again. Thanks for making this wonderful program an interactive tool for reading!

Expensive. The app works so far... At least that.... But this app is expensive for the content.. It took my 4 year old just about 30 min to go over all the games and get bored with it. I am not expecting my child to play for hours with the iPad, but don't want to pay 4 dollars for 30 minutes of play either, so please make some updates adding stuff...

Must have for kids,. My boys love this show. The app is grate but a little complex for my 2 and 4 year old boys. My 4 year old is autistic and he needs some help understanding and navigating this app. It's great though and some day they will both do it on their own.

Background music works, voices don't. The voices don't work on my app unless I turn on and off my mute button quickly. Then I will get one sentence. However, the music plays 100% of the time. It defeats the purpose of the game if my kids can't hear the letters, words, and sentences while they are trying to play.

4 Y.O. Skyler. My 4 year old says, "I love this game, its just like TV." Any game that is engaging and fun is a thumbs up for me. Better than sitting in front of the TV when I'm busy. She requires very little to no supervision with this. I'll step in to assist her and use it as part of our mommy and me learning time. I enjoy playing with her as well. BTW, very easy to download. I had no problems with it. It could be there iPad????

Sound does not work, don't buy!. I bought it and have installed 3 times and sound does not work. I noticed other reviewers with the same issue. I wish I had read before wasting four dollars.

Great. My 2 1/2 year old loves your app. Just you need to speed it up a illite. He doesn't wait for instructions. I have worked with him to show him the instructions but being young he doesn't have patience! Thanks Super Why for helping teach my son his letters!

Fantastic!. We've had this for several weeks and our kids love it! Never had it crash, but wonder if the other mentions of it have either an old version or are using the iPhone version on the iPad.

Good. This is a good little app. Last version would hang my iPad and leave my son very upset, but this version seems to function.

N vs M. Like the app alot. When my son plays the Pig's game, I consistently hear 'N' when the letter 'M' is requested. Not certain if its my ears, but its conistent. Otherwise a great app

This app has issues!. At first the app wouldn't open after installed. After a sync it did open but there is no sound. And yes I do have the sound up as loud as it can go. My kids keep trying to use it and get frustrated when they can't understand what the characters are trying to tell them. There weren't many reviews when I bought it. I wish I knew what I was getting into.

2 year old loves it!. This is my 2 year old's favorite app for his iPad. He loves tracing the letters and spelling out words. If your toddler has an iPad, you need to get them this one! Absolutely fantastic!

My autistic son loves this!. My non-verbal 7 year old son loves this app! He is a fan of Super Why! But there are so many games to play on here it is worth it even if you haven't seen the show! He's done extremely well at the word games, and he even just enjoys the background music at times! The videos are super cute to watch also! And also, I love that they have a large variety of words they use and not just the same ones over and over! Def recommend this app!

Not enough for the $$. My son really likes the app, but after just one day he says "I've done it all!" There should be more words to learn for the $3.99. I would not spend that much money for a game that's really only good for a couple of days.

Freezes. My daughter loves this app, and the content is great. However, it keeps freezing my iPad during startup. Fix this!

Room for improvement. My 3 year old loves this program. But whAt is the point of the stickers. It would also help if the words were emphasized when read so as to build a relationship between what is said and what is on screen. Overall still best 3 bucks spent so far.

Why did we have to pay again PBS?. I already paid for this for my daughter on my iPhone and instead of updating the app for free to work with the iPad you charge for it? I bought it because I told my daughter that she could use it on the iPad and I wanted the iPad size graphics. If not for that, I would ask for my money back.

Perfect!. My 5 yo loves Super Why on TV and this is a great adaptation where he gets to control it all by himself. He is preverbal autistic and he is really trying to answer the characters verbally! I hope you come out with more of these SuperWhy apps! One is not enough!

Not as super as I hoped. This ap has cute activities and graphics but all of the letters used in the rhyming and word building games are uppercase. As a teacher, i find that it is very difficult to teach emerging readers and writers to use lowercase letters appropriately when games model just the opposite. It is incorrect to write in all caps. I'm disappointed in PBS for not considering this convention rule when creating this ap.

Builds on the TV show. My son (age 4) is a big fan of the TV show---this app extends the fun. It covers a range of skills, from recognizing letters, to tracing letter shapes, to rhyming words, to sentence comprehension.

Check the MUTE button. If you find no sound, check the mute button on iPad 1. Double tab home key 2. Scroll to far left 3. Tab on the mute button on the left next to the brightness slide. Not sure why this mute button only affect this app, but not others. All other apps still have sound even this mute button is enabled.

Overpriced. My 2.5 year old nephew loves super why, so we were pretty excited to see this app. Some of the concepts were over his head- he can't read so he doesn't know how to choose which word will complete a sentence. I was ok with that, and figured the app would still be useful as he learns. Unfortunately we aren't going to keep it that long. As another reviewer said- it's redundant. We started seeing repeats in all four mini-games after barely having played it. There are much cheaper and even some free apps that are nicer looking, more engaging, and are not as repetitive. I'm bummed that I paid so much for this.

3 year old daughter LOVES this. my daughter loves this app. She is learning letters and words and motor skills. She played it for almost 2 hours on a long vacation drive. Previous versions were buggy. It's been working great now. Great work. Make more like this I'll buy it in a heartbeat. 3 bucks is nothing. If you think that's a lot...It's the same cost as a soda and candy bar or some cheapo checkout aisle toy that dumb parents buy for their kids ALL the time.

Great game!. My 4 yo loves this game. I had problems getting the sound to work at first. I had the side switch on my iPad set to lock the screen instead of muting the apps, and had to change that. It works great now and she keeps asking to play! :)

Crashes. This application crashed when I tried to launch it. My iPad was completely frozen. Very disappointing as my son has just discovered the show and loves it. When another update is issues, I will try it again.

Broken Sound. After only using the app a few times, the sound completely stopped working. I've tried deleting and re-installing, but it didn't fix the problem. Too bad, as my 2 year old really liked it before it broke.

Sound problems. Great pictures and games but sound doesn't work hen characters talk on my iPad. Not sure why as volume on audio is turned up and works with other apps....

Nice Educational App. My 4 year old loves this show and the app! I had no problem with crashes. I only wish the game would highlight the words that are read to the kids when they are zapping them into the sentence. For kids learning how to read this would really help!

First Grade Teacher. I would be willing to give this app a 5 star rating if it allowed you the option of picking and writing lowercase letters. In our world most of the time we read and spell using lowercase letters.

Could be great. My son loves it... when it's not crashing! Fix the crashes, make a bigger game for a bit more and you'll be onto a winner.

Sound issues. SO, we figured out that sound only works on the PBS apps (all of them that we've downloaded so far) when headphones are plugged in. I guess this is a nice way to take pity on parents who don't want to hear it, but we actually do some of the games WITH our 3 year old and would prefer to be able to hear what she hears. we just bought a headphone splitter so we could both be plugged in. Anyway, for parents frustrated by no sound...plug in some headphones. Other than that hurdle, it's a nice app for little ones.

Don't waste your money!. I purchased this app about 3 months ago and have tried several times to download and still cannot. Tried via my iPad and by logging onto my computer through iTunes (as instructed by the error that popped up). I am so frustrated wish I could get my money back....but no luck! Save yourself aggravation and don't purchase this app!

Terrific. First 'educational app' that has kept my 4 year old's interest. She loves playing it and is getting better at word recognition. Haven't had the crashing problem others have mentioned.

have to update ipad software. I had a hard time downloading the app, but as soon as I updated my ipad software by syncing it with my laptop, the app downloaded when I clicked on my downloads.
