Very nice app. I just switched over from Flightradar24 and love the price and presentation of your app. Now the only cons I have found compared to Flightradar24 are the ability to rotate the screen and alerts don’t always work. I have received alerts from the other and not from this app. Other than that I really like it. Please take a look at the alerts and the ability to rotate screen (iPhone). Other issues I have now found after using this app is there is a vast lack of coverage. Planes I’m tracking will just disappear mid-flight.

Charging me again! I bought this once!. I don’t know what happened but I purchased this app just about three years ago and now it’s useless and if I want the same features I had I have to pay again only this time much more. I’m not real happy with this company if that’s the way they do things. If that’s the case They could constantly keep making you pay after a year or so if you want your features to work. I don’t know why I gave it three stars to be honest after they did that.

Best flight tracking app in some ways, though missing a few features. I have the free version, and overall I really like it. The augmented reality view is definitely a big plus. The layout of the map view is really good too. I like the alerts for planes squawking 7700; it’d be nice if you could include 7500 & 7600 too (or maybe even let users specify what codes they want alerts for). The only other thing I would note is the info screen that comes up after you click on a plane has a lot more details locked for the premium version than what FlightAware gives for free. I understand there’s a limit to what can be given for free, but with a little more this app could definitely blow the others out of the water.

Cant get tracking premium on I pad or 3d. I paid for one year premium tracking. Got it on my phone but not on the Ipad . Tried to close and open the app to see if I could get it but not only I could not get it but now I cannot get 3d which I have been paying for years . Try to contact where you said I could but nothing happens. Is this a sick joke, a fraud or what?

Cities are not shown on map. The program is great for showing type and company logo on aircraft, but you have to manually locate where you want to watch. There is no location dot showing where you are or airport location. You must zoom in and try to locate where you are and then check aircraft in your area.

Support for the Dynamic Island would be awesome!!. I've been using Plane Finder for almost 3 years and I love all the fun and intuitive features that it has to offer in the paid version. The price is amazing for what you get. The only thing holding me back from using it as my main flight tracker is not incorporating Live Activities for flights that you choose to track. I think it would be so much faster and better to be able to find and track a flight straight from the Dynamic Island or lock screen. Other than that, this app is amazing if you're looking for a cheap, annual plan that gives you most of the features that a planespotter needs.

Paid for app previously for no ads, now it wants me to pay again. I am not happy with the most recent update. I had already purchased the version of this app that allowed me to use it without ads, and now all of a sudden it wants me to now pay again (and yearly for that matter) to continue to use the app how I was using it previously. I am not impressed and would like a refund on my previous purchase of this app now that I have been reverted to the basic version with ads without notice. I used to be able to use the filter option, and now that’s for “Premium only”, it’s just absolutely ridiculous.

Very Useful and Good For Plane Spotting. It is just a such accurate way to find planes at 10km up. Recently, I bought the pro and I love it. Such a good deal and been using this for three years. The plane finding app is the reason I have so many plane captures and how I was able to see the plane. Sometimes, people would know how I knew the airline and that was because of using plane finder and eventually got to know exact airline and aircraft immediately. Thanks pinkfroot limited. First of all, thanks for actually knowing how important plane finder is in my life. That is so amazing how y’all make such an accurate plane tracker radar. It’s the thing that started my interest in commercial planes. Just thanks for such a great app and the memories make in just plane finder.

Where is that plane going? The answer in your hand.. Have you ever looked up to see an airplane and wondered where it came from and where it's going? I do it all the time and just did it while writing this review. Fortunately, because of my Plane Finder app I didn't have to wonder for long. The answers, along with alot of other detailed information, were at my fingertips. As a retired airline pilot you could say I'm somewhat of an aviation enthusiast. I'm not going to repeat all the features that are listed in the description of Plane Finder. What I will say is each and every one of these features works brilliantly. This is simply a fantastic app. As a side note, one thing that often makes or breaks an app is the customer support. In addition to the quality of the app, the customer support is superb. No matter your question or comment you will receive a timely response. I have read some comments regarding having to pay a subscription for the app. I questioned it myself at first but then thought about it. Here I was with an electronic device that costs several hundreds of dollars questioning the value of an app that I enjoy immensely for only a few pennies a day. Is that whacked or what? Bottom line-forget about it. The price is well worth it and then some. You can't go wrong.

One suggestion. Hi! I’m Abby. I love this app but I have a suggestion. Could you make the app not need WiFi? Because I have an iPad and iPod so I can only use this app when I’m home and sometimes when I’m in the car I’ll be like “I wish I could use my airplane app offline so I could see what plane this is.” I love being able to track the planes tho I would just love it if you could make it offline. Thank you!

Legacy costumer. I purchased this app years ago then the 3d and couple others. This has been my go to for years. I would tell everyone about how cool it was. Since I have upgraded my phone recently when I restore my purchase it doesn’t take the ads away and the filter is only for subscribers now. I feel cheated out of something I enjoyed so much before. Really shouldn’t be this way. It’s too much a hassle to get past the ads and not being able to save the planes for future reference. Please fix this. Darrin

Here we go again…SUBSCRIBE. Bought the premium app when the original version was created and today it is no longer supported. If i want to keep using the same functionalities, i need to download the newer version of the exact same app , i loose the money i spent already, and i need to “SUBSCRIBE” (pay the app indefinitely). They offer previous customers 3 months free with the new app… and then you pay…indefinitely. So sick and tired of being screwed over this way. If i have to loose functionalities and see ads for an app i already bought in the past, i will use FlightRadar24. Much better app.

Amazing. Ever since I was a little girl, I would spend tons of time at night, looking at the planes and wondering where they were going. One day I was doing the same thing and I thought to myself I wonder if I could see which plane that is online. Surprise! I’m in heaven I do this every day I do it at work, etc.. I wonder who’s on the plane, if there’s a little cranky kid or a child running in the aisles. I guess I have time on my hands, but I’ve never gotten over wishing I was on the plane. I love this app!

Good luck clicking through upsells while trying to ID a low flying plane. I have this app for the novelty of pointing my phone at a nearby airplane to learn where it came from and where it’s going as it flys by. I don’t use it often, but I keep it on the first page of my home screen for quick access. Cue a few days ago - I launch the app after a few months of disuse... and instead of getting the app + expected AR button I got a modal dialogue trying to upsell me to pro. By the time I clicked through everything in the ad and got to the actual app, the plane was out of sight.

Shouldn’t have deleted!!!!. Plane finder I learned my lesson the hard way to never betray you. I deleted to give flight radar 24 a try, and they make me pay to set custom alerts. So I said oh well all my alerts on PF were free when I first got it last spring.... I had to redownload the newer version and now you’re getting $10/year out of me!!! Guess I can’t complain about less than a dollar per month. Thanks for the great app.

RIP OFF !! Do not buy.. I paid for this app a few years ago for lifetime subscription. All of a sudden they decided to change the app with a new one that is subscription based . Although I paid for it a few years back now they will not honor my lifetime subscription. Plus the app does not work that well anymore. A lot of the flights are not listed or they say they are untraceable when you can go to the airlines web site & track the flights there. All they trying to do with their pop-up ads is for you to pay pay pay. These people are crooks . DONOT BUY THIS APP.

Uninstalled.. Unfortunately, a pretty good app turned into garbage with multiple forced unstoppable video ads which take control of your device for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. People need to uninstall any app that requires that you allow it to hijack your device for their business model. Perhaps maybe developers would get the hint and make better apps that have value, so you don't have to resort to such a bush- league tactics. REPLY- No, I would not. You're out of your mind if you think this app is worth having to pay a perpetual monthly subscription forever. Well, until you abandon this app and your customers and move on to an even more intrusive and expensive one, exactly like you did to the people who already paid for the app. The data it uses, you get free. It's from aircraft ADS-B data. It's like having to buy a subscription just for the data that is broadcast free from GPS satellites. You don't pay for the equipment installed on aircraft that's transmitting the data. The airlines and private aircraft owners pay for it, but you're trying to make money off of it. Not only that, but you're trying to trap unsuspecting users into a never-ending subscription that many will forget about and keep paying for years.

I’ve had a pretty good experience.. I’ve had a great experience! I own the premium and it works perfectly! There are a few problems though. The 3D mode is very laggy when planes are on the ground. Also, some plane models look odd. Like the 777, looks like a a330 to me. I also logged in with Apple, and I can’t figure out how to open my account on my phone. Other wise, thank you! Great app.

DO NOT BUY until researching towers near you. DO NOT BUT until you research available towers near your location. I first purchased this app around 3 years ago and it was originally better where I live. Something changed over the last year so my current coverage is terrible. I get way better results with other similar apps but this is now the worst in my area. I wasted a year subscription fee since there’s no refunds. I rarely even get 7700 notifications from Plane Finder but frequently get several from FlightRadar24. Yes, I have all the current updates & proper settings. Customer service has been responsive but of course no solutions. They say there’s not towers near me but why did I used to have better coverage? They must have sold or discontinued reception for my area since it used to clearly be better.

Best in the Buisness. This flight tracker is the best, hands down. I’ve used it for a couple of years. It pulled me away from Flightradar24 because of how streamlined the app is. I would really like to see better utilization of iOS widgets and Apple Watch complications. Something as simple as a quick launch, or a nearby shortcut. Filter shortcut. Something. Make it even easier for users to use this app quickly and regularly!

So useful. Here in Santa Fe it is common to see 10 or more vapor trails filling the sky at the same time. So being able to identify them is like trainspotting from my childhood. We also see some bizarre flight paths which would be forever mysterious but the app identifies them. We also get a lot of military flyovers, since New Mexico is still a giant test bed, but most of them remain invisible to the app. I always recommend the app to the many chemtrail fanatics in this town. Real data drives them crazy.

Wrong Airline. Was tracking my wife on AA3087 out of College Station, TX and all that came up was DL3087 and Delta doesn’t fly to College Station. Earlier I was trying to locate the flight prior to departure and the app displayed it as a flight in Wisconsin. I’ll see what happens when I track her AA78 flight from DFW to London Heathrow and her BA1488 flight from London to Glasgow. Luckily I have two other apps to use. And yes, I have the subscription

Happy user. I like the new look. It’s going to take me a bit to get used to the improvements, but I like what I see. I had to contact support for an issue, and my issue was solved thoroughly and quickly. Strongly recommend this! Quick update: Kudos to customer support. My questions are answered quickly and in a manner that a novice as I can understand. I love watching, tracking, etc., but my knowledge of this area is limited. Great support!

Not consistent. So this app has failed me on numerous occasions. I tried to track a military aircraft that was coming in, and even though they turned off their transponder for an exercise, when they were with sight if the airport it was back on. Other using Flight Radar could see it, but nothing here. Then I tried to track my wife’s flight in Brazil. When I searched, it gave me an option to set an alert, but it never went off. When my wife texted that she was leaving, I couldn’t see the plan at all, but I could with Flight Radar. I gambled wrong by giving this app money.

Great App for plane identification. I really enjoy the detailed airplane flight information provided in this app. We live near a municipal airport and it provides detailed information about any plane in the area. I particularly enjoy the highlighted flight path of the various planes. The photo feature is VERY useful for capturing information on any plane that is visible. Good value for the annual subscription!!

Upgrade was a mistake as I feared. Over my long use of plane Finder I has built a catalog of filters to help find aircraft types of interest. Upgrading gained little, and not only can I not carry forward my old filters, they’ve buried them one level deeper in the interface. Previously, when I compared old Plane Finder filtering to Flightradar24 they both found mostly the same planes. Now, the new plane Finder is coming up well short.

Super awesome. I love this app. It is very functional, doesn’t drain battery too much, and displays a lot of information. Flight has always been a passion of mine and between simulators, flying on commercial passenger flights, and this it is the closest I have gotten to flying, so keep that app going! I also just subscribed to the premium version recently, and it added so much to the app. The Apple Watch app could use some improvements though. Even if the extra features would require the premium subscription, I would still be happy with the improvement. Overall great app though. Maybe make it so you can see further than 100 miles on Apple Watch? Just food for thought. Thanks for your time and effort!_____________________________________Addition - Developers: Could you please add an explanation of the AR gesture interface in the app? You mentioned a gesture based interface, but you never explained how to use it.

Possible glitches. When I am looking at the app and am looking at my home airport sometimes I do not see planes. Just the other day I was trying to spot a plane and was not sure of when it would be arriving exactly but the app did not show it. Another thing I don’t understand is that sometimes when a plane is landing it shows that the plane has gone around yet it did not. I do not have premium yet.

Problems with pop up adds. I just purchased this app with the premium upgrade and I get these pop up adds like homescape that I can not clear. I paid so I wouldn’t bet these pop ups , I plan on talking with apple support but I have to wait for the charge to go through. Other than this issue the app is fine. So you need to fix this issue ASAP please

Useful and entertaining. Your site/app has been super helpful over the last years, as we live in a very active wildfire area (wine country CA). I can observe the progress the fire crews are making in the containment of the blazes around us, and even see hotspots spring up before they show up on the situational awareness map, just by observing the aircraft (flight pattern, who’s flying etc.) in real time. Plus we live in a very active flight corridor (most flights out of San Francisco and Oakland go overhead) and it’s always cool to see where a plane is going to/coming from when you see one going over.

Mom's Prayers Answered.. I thank Jesus for finding this app. 🙏🏻 My 18 yr old son is flying a direct flight home alone from California to Connecticut for the first time. His flight was delayed x 2. I was so nervous. Finally he boarded and I found this app. I can watch his flight in real time as it moves on my screen and everything. I thank you God ✝️ it has relieved my anxieties. Can't wait to kiss and hug my son.

Awesome. I utilize this app when traveling. It has been a great tool to track my inbound aircraft. If I could add on more function to this app, it would be perfect. The function being the ability to utilize the app when in flight. When connected to aircraft Wi-Fi or using gps compass if no Wi-Fi is available. IE: similar to hiking apps that use the goa feature.

So Disappointed!. I paid for the older version of this app initially and enjoyed many features which are no longer available to me unless I pay for a subscription which I’m unwilling to do. Also the older version has been disabled and is replaced with the current version. I finally had to delete the older app because it is no longer usable. I seem to remember paying $10 or more. I was very pleased with it. But you’ve changed your game. I’m so disappointed! 😣

Awesome. I’ve had this app for over a year and it’s really amazing how accurate and easy it it to use. It’s fun to see what planes are overhead and where they are going. Even on a cloudy day you can use the camera mode and see where the plane is in the sky. Would recommend this app to anyone because it can kill some time and keep you occupied for awhile.

The Perfect Plane Finder App. I’ve used this app for forever, and I was really happy that it got an upgrade with giving more info about the aircraft and flight info. It does a great job with accuracy and a user experience by giving a nice look of the overall app and its features which include a premium plan as well. Overall it does a fantastic job at providing live updates of the planes above and a fun app to explore. This app is the best in the place finder business. 👍

Misleading/Pro account unmanageable. It worked. But only once. When I returned to the app, clicked the icon, I was taken back to the beginning of the purchasing process. The app then freezes. I waited 30 minutes with a frozen screen before I completely exited the app and tried again. The third, fourth and even a fifth attempt to use the app again went just as the second attempt - frozen screen, no way to access the app or my account. A few moments ago I cancelled my subscription through a series of random, frustratingly pushed option buttons and icons. Now I don’t trust I won’t be charged for attempting to buy the Pro version and then cancelling my subscription after being subscribed for only an hour of the two week free trial period because the entire purchasing process seems fatally flawed. Trying to use this app has been extremely frustrating and definitely disappointing.

Amount of Planes Flying is WOW!!. This app will blow you away with what it does. You want to know what planes are flying right now around the globe? This app does that! Your country? Yes! Your state? Yes! And you can drill down to your local airport! Hey what plane is that? Just touch the plane and it opens a new window with all the specs. What military planes are flying? Just select the filter and VIOLA! It shows just those. There is a whole list of things you can do with this app. Try the free one and I bet you will be subscribing soon there after!

Restoring Premium - Been Having an Issue Recently. Great app but I'm having a bit of an issue right now where it gives me the option to "Restore Premium purchases" and every time I click that button it says "purchases successfully restored!" But then I try playback and it keeps saying I need premium in order to use it, despite the fact that I've hit "Restore Premium purchases" over and over again. Could someone please assist me? I've tried reinstalling the app.

Great Application for aircraft lovers. I’ve enjoyed using this application for several years on my iPad Air. There have been several useful upgrades over the years that has in handed its capabilities. However, I have a question about one of the features. The app shows your current location on the map with a small blue circle with a white ring around it. Inside the white ring is a very small blue circle that seems to be a pointer in a fixed location; irregardless of which way the iPad is pointing. The direction appears to be South on my iPad. Is my guess accurate? If so, why not North?

My Very Favorite App. As a child and later enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, I’ve always had a fascination for airplanes. Though I’m not a pilot myself, I’ve often just driven to the airport to watch the planes take off and land and wondered where the planes are coming from and where they’re headed. In recent years I bought a home with a rooftop deck and a panoramic view. I now see 4 airports from my vantage point and see countless craft in the skies every day. A few months ago I discovered “Plane Finder” and knowing what the planes (and helicopters) are, their livery, origin, destination, speed and altitude, has been fascinating, informative and truly enjoyable. About 3 months ago I decided to eliminate the ads and became a subscriber (along with my partner). I am SO glad I did! I am now able to see where any given craft has been previously, how many passengers it can hold, and much more. I’m learning more about the speed, altitude, and navigation styles each has. It has become a wonderful and fascinating pass time. Thanks, Plane Finder!

I tried contacting support through the App Store page, but it would just reopen the app. I wrote a review and was contacted by support and the problem was quickly resolved. One of The BEST Apps Ever Made. So, I’ve downloaded a lot of apps. But this has got to be the best app I’ve ever downloaded. I’m not kidding. It’s got everything you need to track a plane. And not only that, it goes above and beyond. As an aviation YouTuber, I want to video tape rare planes flying in the sky. I wouldn’t have gotten the views I have without Plane Finder. I’ve tried other apps, like Flightradar24, but Plane Finder is still the best, hands down. It has AR, so you can quickly see what and where planes are in the sky. It shows every single plane currently flying. And much, much more! Download Plane Finder now! Trust me, you’ll regret if you don’t!

Amazing. This app is incredible, and I like everything from the emergency notifications so I can grab some popcorn and pull up the flight route, to the customer support and advanced settings, along with all the cool features like the virtual globe, weather maps, and the HUGE map of all the planes in the air. I gladly paid the comparatively cheap $10 yearly for the premium version and if you like the app it’s worth it to do so as well.

Monthly subscription raised from monthly to yearly without my knowledge or permission!!!. When and if you chose to offer some upgrades on a one time permanent basis you will get a purchase from myself. For non commercial use the subscription model is NOT an option. The sooner software industry gets this the better. Some software developers do offer limited programs on a one time purchase basis but than want your personal info so they can monetize you r PERSONAL info. (I’m looking at you adobe) Not happening. You would increase your sales offering some some one time purchase upgrades. Having said this your non software rental portion of this program is pretty darn good. Edited Adjusted rating down to one star, I purchased a monthly subscription to evaluate full program, I found it was not worth it to me. When I went to cancel monthly subscription I found my subscription was MYSTERIOUSLY UPGRADED TO A FULL YEAR WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR PERMISSION! Buyers beware!!

Incredible. I never receive apps or give them a second thought if I’m being honest. But this app is hands down the coolest on my phone. As a boy, I’d often look up at con trails high in the sky and think to myself “I wonder where that plane is going?” Knowing at that moment, complete strangers were 30,000 feet over my head. Now, with this app all these years later, I can pull those anonymous planes and determine every little detail about it. My kids and I love hearing a jet in the distance and pull it up on this app. Simply amazing!!! In fact, my 6 year old and I went to a local air museum and were able to determine a large private jet was only 10 minutes away from landing. So we waited and sure enough here it came. 5 stars and highly recommend this app!!

Almost there. I’ve been testing your software and for some reasons I can see less military helicopters in the area of Panama City which I can totally see when using Flightradar24. I’m kind of surprised as I thought your app was better in finding these objects. I wish I could upload a picture so I could show you. And that’s the other issue…I tried to upload this situation using the Contact Support feature of the app but when you press on the up arrow to send the information, nothing happened. It is just like grayed out or simply just doesn’t work. I’m still under the 7 days trial so am going to stop the subscription process if there is no response from support.

Great App. Been using ADSB Exchange for a couple years now for military flight tracking. I really like that this app shows you plane type in the label. I wish there were a few more plane symbols depending on their type (T-38 should have a jet symbol, etc). ADSB does a good job with this. Also I’d like the military filter to be a free option, but I get it.

Great flight tracking app. This is a great app. I like how you can track military aircraft which I couldn’t do with FlightRadar24. I also like the weather overlays. The only negative point is that the environmental information like wind speed and air temperature is not available when tracking any flights in the US. It only works for flights operating in European air space. I’m not sure if that is a limitation of this app or whether that information is simply not made available in the US? I have the premium version of this app.

Wow!. Was a little skeptical of the accuracy of this app but I couldn’t be more impressed I live on Long Island NY so I have LGA and JFK near by so the amount of air traffic over my house is constant and to be able to count down the seconds until the aircraft will become visible to me is like clockwork. I mainly get JFK Landing and take offs hence that’s were my backyard is facing but also many line up and fly overs from LGA. Overall a very cool and useful app was also impressed to see drones and “some” military aircraft. Highly recommend for any aviation enthusiast or anyone in the airline profession. 9/10 ⭐️

Fun app. I couldn’t figure out how to contact the developer at first. Then found it has to be done through the app, not their website. The developer responded quickly to my question about getting rid of the ads on a second device, so it’s all good. I was happy to see the option of getting rid of 3rd-party ads without having to purchase the full version. It’s a fun app. We always watch the planes in the sky and wondered where they were going. Now we can find out.

Accurate. I had a flight and I wanted to check the app and see how accurate the app was so I checked on the app and on the flight board at the airport and it matches I was surprised I thought that this was a scam but I recommend this app thanks to the app for being helpful

A Useful App. Top marks for presentation, layout and the telemetry provided. I especially like the Dark Mode and 3D features. I am not a fan of subscription based Apps, but I do understand the commercial reasons for it and the potential benefits to users. Plane Finder is lacking in regards to worldwide coverage (ADS-B feeders, ADS-C & MLAT) as well as smaller regional airport information (arrivals, departures & WX), when compared to other platforms. I hope this can be addressed by the Developers with this subscription model. Overall, Plane Finder adds to my enjoyment of aviation. Improve the coverage and it could be 5 Stars from me in the future.

Hate it.. I used to love this . Now they changed it and it’s stuffed. I can never find the plane I’m after. Like right now my friend is on the runway on LAX and I can’t find his jet. Doesn’t show at airport. Did before. Not happy they changed. Just a money grab because it keeps coming up to get premium . It seems the features that were free you can’t get unless you get the premium. I’m looking at my friends flight. It says only it’s name number and heading time. That’s it. Everything else locked. I think I’ll look for another app.

Not as reliable as it should be. I decide to pay for the ap last year, as I had family doing a trip & wanted to be able to track them. Worked fine most of the time, but occasionally it did not show aircraft that were visible on other tracking aps. Now it often doesn’t even give basic flight info, such as arrival & departure airports. A friends aircraft is currently sitting at 4500’ above Qld, where he parked it a week ago😂. I called him to make sure he got home safely, & had no transponder issues! I will not be renewing my subscription later in the year.

Refund. As this app no longer provides the services that I paid for, so please give me a refund. App is so disappointing now. I’m watching aircraft arrive and depart, yet this app doesn’t even show them on the screen. Jump to other apps and they are all there to be seen and followed. Very tired of greedy app developers changing their apps based on some vague condition. How about supporting the people who support you in the first place?

Love this app.. I’m amazed how spot on it is when there’s a plane flying over. Tells which airline it is. If you want everything about the plane etc planes times and speed plus much you can pay for upgrade with a small fee if want. Thanks

If you’re an existing premium user do not upgrade. I’ve been a user of Plane Finder for a few years, having initially bought the premium version and found it to be very useful. It’s very disappointing that the app I paid for has now been discontinued and replaced with a new app with annual fee, where the only key difference is a 3D map. Using the “restore purchases” function in the new app has no effect in restoring the functionality that I’d previously purchased, such as viewing historic flight data. I also note they’ve transferred across the reviews of the old app, which is misleading to say the least.

Awesome App. I have been using this App for 12 months now and I have found it to be an amazing App, also the support it also amazing.

Easy to use. Thankyou for a site / app that’s easy to use. I’m using to track flights for animal transport and it’s a god send. Knowing if late for example and only takes seconds. I’m sure their so much more and will take the time to explore

Amazing app for free!!. I was at the airport one day waiting for my flight from Adelaide to Brisbane and my flight was no where to be seen when at the gate... I thought I wonder if I can track it and here I am. Didn’t even pay a dime and can see exactly where the plane is, speed and altitude. Minimal ads and perfect for any travellers...

Very easy to use and customizable. Great app guys. Seriously. Is there an Apple iPhone/ iPad/iWatch widget coming? I book a flight and wanna know what gate it’s at and changes to departure time.

Love the app hate the ads. Great app. Quick and accurate. But the ads just drive me insane. They take over the entire screen and are annoying to close down. Rather than encourage me to upgrade to ad free, they annoy me so much I vow to never hand over a cent to an organisation that acts that venally.

Always on time with information. I collect my son and from different flights my grand son every Wednesday and Friday. This page gives me all information I need to get to the airport on time with out having to park unnecessary times and take up valuable parking space which are always at premium at Brisbane airport Thanks

Flying high. Old version was a once off purchase but this version has an exorbitantly high yearly subscription. I’m therefore sticking with the older version.

Plane spotting. I find this app very informative in that there are a lot of planes going over the coast here and in my older age when I’m out on the Veranda viewing the skies which are very clear here as plane spotting goes I find it very enjoyable to look up and see just watching which aircraft are flying overhead. Sometimes it’s beats watching a movie or TV it’s like thinking well there goes another plane full of people I wonder where they’re going or wonder where they been so this app is very good. AR.

Adds, layout, how easy it is to use. When I installed the updated version it said I had to get adds so it would be free, that should not be the case, it is hard to use, hard to find the flight I wanted to track & slow, dose not show a real time track or show it moving at a speed on the screen that the plane is flying, there should be a doted line showing where it came from & it should be able to show the plane icon bigger so it is easier to see as well.

Forced to write a review. I could not get the dialog box to disappear until I gave this app a 5 star rating and wrote a review. No other options were able to be selected. That’s dodgy.

As of 1st Aug 22. Well so far I have been allowed to to use this app on the condition I allow app to track other apps. I was about to delete it as there was no way I was going the subscription route. If it means there’s a few ads, I don’t mind, as I am only a casual user. I hope this is going to be the status quo.

Scam! Not paying twice!!! Joke app!. Use FlightRadar 24 or RadarBox instead OR use Plane Finder with a VPN/Firewall app & block all those ads. By binning your “legacy” app you’ve cornered your existing paid users into a subscription model. Other vendors reward their loyal paid users with FULL access to their new app for free. I understand you need to make money & subscription models are now standard but I’ll be seeking a refund via complaint to Apple. No need to respond with my special discount offer either. It doesn’t sit well with many of your customers and you know it. #scam.

Add even though I paid for the app!. I am disappointed that I am still getting ads even though I purchased the app. Please stop doing this, I paid for it, you upgraded the app so poorly, that now I have to pay for it again to remove the ads? 🤬

Plane Finder. I’ve always found Plane Finder easy to use. It has all the info about flights that I want,and in which I’m interested. Keep up the good work😉👍!

Ads and tracking are over the top.. I don't usually write a review, but this app blocked me with a full screen timed ad, which gave me time to come here and write this. The app asks to track me as well, which is insane, user hostile nonsense. I just want to see where the planes are occasionally. I don't need the advanced features. Subscription is too expensive for my occasional needs. Please let me pay once to turn off ads.

Not impressed. Well I must say that I am not impressed. After having paid for my legacy version I find that all the information that was available is now only available on subscription. I paid for the old version for the info now I am expected to pay monthly for the same privilege. That’s a back step if ever I’ve seen one. Clearly Plane Finder are taking a leaf out of Microsoft and BMW’s book.

Amazing. It’s currently 1 in the morning and there’s a helicopter that keeps flying around the area so I decided to see where it was headed stuff like that. Without paying for anything I was able to see information about it. Overall good app

Great app but support is average and account poor. The app is great and barring some mis identification issues works well. However support leaves a bit to be desired. Especially paid account support issues. No responses to issues with signing out of an old account profile when you have used apples subscription. Once signed in with one method you can not swap it and if you pay for the yearly subscription using an email address and not apples subscription service that you originally used then you are stuck. So now I’m stuck paying for something I can’t use.

Plane finder review. I love this app and I think that it is extremely fun and cool and I would definitely rate it 5 stars. But the reason I can’t do that at the moment is because of all the pop up adds. Other than that minor issue I totally recommend this app to everyone and love it. Two thumbs up👍👍

Best app I have. I use this app primarily for tracking flights so I can arrive at the airport at the right times, but like all good things I end up using it just for fun and curiosity. Easy to use, gives me all the info I need and more.

Used to be a Great App. Functionality and friendly user interface was great in the previous app but now it’s just another subscription, which is not an attractive option. Allow a one time payment for full access.

Great app - Problem solved. I absolutely love the Plane Finder App, and have been using it for years now. And it was only a few months ago I decided to upgrade to premium to get the weather charts and 3D mode. Wow what a difference that made !! I can’t believe how well and accurate it is (for a novice at least) and the graphics a fabulous. I unfortunately had an is issue with none of the premium features so I emailed the support centre. It wasn’t long until Jodie contacted via email to sort out my situation. It was simple fix and an oversight by me. Jodie’s communication was great and I now have full access to one of my favorite apps Thanks again, and I highly recommend it to everyone Regards MP

Needs better tracking!!. Why is it that 95% of the time when a flight doesn’t show up on Plane Finder it is there on Flight Radar? The UI of plane finder is the main feature it has going for it but if you’re looking to actually track flights then Flight Radar is the way to go. If Plane finder adopted the same system of displaying tracked flights then it would be an easy 5 stars!

New App version is subscription based. I thought I had been pushed to a new subscription based app with less features when I got a new iPhone and installed this app from the App Store. In fact all I had to do was reinstall the old version of the app to get back the great app I had. Thanks for being fair.

Use frequently. Been using this App for a few years now. Found it very good. Now with the weather lines including it’s even better/informative. Some times the aircraft ‘icons’ not match the aircraft type but that’s no big deal.

Greed?. This was a good app, and potentially still is but even though there was a normal and and a premium version, we that bought the premium have been told ‘thanks for the money but your no longer a premium user you have to pay me a yearly fee now’ I really detest such actions and would rather pay a fee to a competitor than give another cent to greedy people like this.

The Russian. This app isn’t as good as the old version! The older version was great until you got everyone to play for it and you started to push the new over priced version! Reinstate the older version to how it was 3 years ago and I would be a happy person …

Great App, Terrible Practices.. So I paid for the other version of the app years ago so I could see planes etc without restrictions but now they've cut the support for that version and am forcing a subscription based service in this app.. I should be able to continue using the old app or be given this one restriction free for free as I already bought the app. Great app terrible practices, devs invisibly got super greedy.

Good, but overpriced.. I’m not gonna lie - Plane Finder IS a good application with a lot of handy information... However the annual subscription that is now required is unjustified and unreasonable. Previously, the developer offered an almost identical application for a one-time fee and this made Plane Finder highly competitive in the Apple App Store, for applications of this type... But then the developer became greedy and decided to change to a subscription-based system. I’ve seen the developer comment in some of the other reviews that he or she is simply “adapting to the changing environment for applications” - what a load of rubbish! There are loads of high-quality applications in the App Store which change a one-time fee and still continue to make money for the respective developer; I find it hard to believe that this developer cannot do the same. If you have money to burn and aircraft is your passion, this application might be for you... Otherwise, stick with the free version or consider the alternatives.

Refund for pre-subscription customers. So you buy this product (with the 3D options) years ago but now you have to subscribe. Look, that’s fine for new customers but not previous customers? Then they mislead you into emailing them saying they will ‘walk you through the upgrade path for existing customers’ …which basically is a ‘if you want what you paid for before then you now have to subscribe because was are a small organization who can’t maintain goodwill’.

Repaired ok. Had a problem with some functionality for some unknown reason. A couple of settings not saving. Clicked on support and sent autolog with one sentence description. Reply came back within hours and was correct solution. Turns out it was my settings, not planefinder. Now good, thanx.

Used to be great. This app used to be great and still could be however the ads have spoiled it. Whilst some ads are ok this app takes it to the next level with ads on the main screen continuously and then full page ads that lock the screen for 5 seconds.

Plane finder. I had an older ediition, up dated it so i could find QF1 when it had turned back to Baku for cockpit issues. The updated version has many new featurs and being a very aviation person ill be on here often. One item is locating a plane in the local aera by pointong thd camera, havent trived it yet, but an amazing idea. The App is clear and easy to use. I have it on my iPad and iPhone. So it will get plenty of use atthe next military exersive. Merry Christmas

Amazing app!. I was looking for an app where I could see what planes are flying over my head and I came across this app! I downloaded it and wow its awesome! You can see all the planes in the world and see heaps of information about them, pretty cool right! The only down side is the adds, they get pretty annoying and sometimes they won’t let you press off of them and they are very frequent. Overall very good app, almost magical💗

Plane tracking. Is it me who’s going crazy because I can hear and see a aircraft going right above my house and I can’t seem to see it on this app. I am confused and wondering if the devs can solve this also please make 2D view free… I downloaded this because I thought there would be 2D plane views but disappointed when it costed money

Plane Finder. I have had plane finder for a number of years. I’m still amazed by it. When I have friends arriving it keeps me informed of when and where. I also enjoy doing studies of volumes by province and world wide. Great tool.

Old app was way better. The old app gave you a ton of information for free. The new one gives you very little - if you want all the flight and plane info you’ve got to pay for the premium version. Greedy.

Want my money back. Purchased app to remove ads and receive full data. Worked for short while then they decided to charge subscription fee. My purchased version is now discontinued and am being asked to subscribe again. Kind of lame but $13 per year isn’t bad, the newest premium version does offer some unique additions

I paid for lifetime use of this app until they changed to a monthly/yearly subscription and cancelled support for the legacy app. I don’t know why Apple allowed this. They should’ve “grandfathered” everyone who paid for the legacy app and started the subscription charges for newcomers.

Paid for premium and it isn’t restoring it. I have plane finder premium in my apple subscriptions and the “restore” button isn’t working. It is not expired.

Rip Off Merchants. I actually purchased the full version of the now “Legacy App”. Now no longer supported, now I have to use this new version, and if I still want to have the same features I already paid once for, now I have to pay a subscription. I’m sure the only reason they discontinued the “Legacy” version was so that they could squeeze even more cash out of people. The non-subscription version is very basic, better off to use pretty much any other app out there, such as Flight Radar. Don’t waste your time with these rip off merchants.

Yet another app asking for a subscription. This is yet another app to move to the subscription model, which means I will no longer be supporting it. I understand charging once and providing lifelong updates to an app isn’t as sustainable as a monthly/yearly subscription but come on, at least give us a choice. I’d happily pay a premium that gives me X versions or X years or updates until I have to either pay again or switch to the subscription model. Until companies offer this I won’t be using this apps. Time to find an alternative—of which there are many who don’t offer only subscriptions to use the apps. Very disappointing.

Features don’t work. Paid for full features. Most don’t work. Alerts don’t work. Don’t get notifications (yes they are turned on) Customer service doesn’t respond to help requests.

Don’t fall for it. I paid for the early full version app, and watched it grow. It became the best, most informative, most usable flight tracking app anywhere. Now my money is 100% down the drain. The legacy app is offline at the end of this month. They’re offering legacy users a 7-day free trial on the subscription. Big deal. My investment in the development of this app is wasted. I also suspect subscription rates will consistently rise as time goes by. USE FLIGHTAWARE. IT’S FREE.

Planes fly over but none show up on app. 🤣After I purchased the upgrade for $2.79/ mth no planes show up! My friend who stands next to me gets planes, helicopters and balloons on his free app. Mine shows nothing! It was a good free app. Sorry for the complaint but I am canceling my subscription.

Revenue grab. I was forced to this “new” app after paying for the “outdated” legacy app. All I see is the same app with locked features that I already paid for.

Ok. It’s kinda of strange the way they use the map, and the arc the planes take…. Planes don’t fly in huge arcs like they have this app would make you think…. If this app used an Ariel Aviation Map it would make a lot more sense. A flight from Tokyo to Helsinki…. Doesn’t fly North up around Greenland and then come back down south to Helsinki…. Makes zero sense

Flights. Great app for showing flight paths. It isn’t always accurate though as sometimes it says it’s going in the opposite direction from what it actually is.

Nice, but needs adjusting. An absolutely awesome app, and I love the very well shaped airplane figures, each one is meant to appear in the size and shape according to its type, very consistent, except for 1 thing: I have noticed that the cargo MD-11’s are shaped exactly like 777’s, would be great if the MD-11’s were shaped like actual MD-11’s. Please consider adjusting them.

Can No Longer Recommend. The developers have given a big middle finger to their legacy app buyers. I recommended the app to countless customers who bought it. Now, without a subscription, even the most basic features (free on other apps) are blocked. The app is useless to me without filters enabled. Businesses need to step back and look at the big picture. Loyal customers are key. Sadly, you have disrespected my loyalty, and I am flying the coop.

Won’t buy again. Potentially this was a great app. I purchased it and have encouraged others too also. I found it very useful and even contacted Plane Finder how it was being utilized. Plane Finder quit supporting my app and came out with a new app that appears to be the same thing. They wanted me to purchase their app (AGAIN?). What happens if I purchase their updated app? Are they going to discontinue my new app to squeeze more money out of me? Never again…

Route and Follow Not Working. Route and Follow buttons seem to have disappeared on my iPhone 8 after the last update. Update: My mistake, they are now appearing as two icons at the bottom left of the map.

Scheduled flights for A/C need some work. Awesome app that I prefer over flight radar 24. Minus one thing. If you click the scheduled flights for any aircraft, unlike FR24, it’s rarely correct. Usually showing random flights that aren’t even connecting to each other for future flights of an A/C. Wish this was fixed to be more accurate like FR24

Not all planes found. I got this at a friends recommendation and it does have a cool feature to be able to point up at the sky and identify a flight. I find it a bit frustrating because many times I’ll try to find it known flight and it doesn’t show it listed on this app whereas on the other major app, it sure is listed. It’s free, it’s useful, it’s fun, but it’s not as accurate as the other one.

Data. Why isn’t there the same amount of Data and photos when you click on an aircraft like their is with other Plane Tracking Apps such as age, engines, and as mentioned photos? This is a great App just want to see these added items

No point. Had this app for years. Recently a new version downloaded. And today, no features are available (like plane type) and requires subscriptions for normal info. Find another app, this one isn’t worth anything now.

Sad to see it get worse. Clunky, slow, hard to navigate and so cluttered with info it’s aggravating to use. I got this a few years back, LOVED it, and now sad to see it become such a hassle to do the simple basics that made it great. The ads are so close to buttons you need you end up opening them in unintentionally. But I can’t see paying for premium and getting even more clutter on the screen.

Great app, one slight issue. Overall this app is amazing but the landings are a bit laggy. When the plane is about to land it freezes in the air and then teleports closer to the runway. Can you please fix this problem?

Convenient. Nice to be able to check flights and see exact arrival times on flights so I know when to head for the airport to pick up loved ones.

Military Aircraft. Military aircraft used to show up. Now none at all! Had two osprey aircrafts fly by and I could see them from my front yard but nothing on here. Would liked to have seen where they came from or were going to. Maybe close enough to view a landing or take off. That would be awesome!

great, BUT. I am currently using the free version of the app and enjoy it very much. I wanted to have the app no my current location but to do that I have to allow it to access my camera which makes no sense whatsoever so for this reason I am going to derate my review. What’s the reason for wanting camera access?

Great app but a few problems. Ok so I love the app like I see the planes and stuff but sometimes when I tap the plane it dose not show the plane route correctly like it gets cuts off like from Del to Toronto the flight route got cut off into southern Russia

Only problem. App is great now one of my favorite apps to use, just I hate the fact you gotta get premium just to get 3D, I wish the developers would make it so you can have 3D without getting premium, please developers make it happen

Infrequent update interval made playback useless. I wanted to see a playback of a traffic pattern conflict, but the playback appears to only update speed/position/altitude for each plane every couple minutes, even though this data should be available every 3 seconds. No obvious way to adjust the interval.

Very accurate, one small issue.. This flight tracker runs very smooth and is very accurate, maybe even a little more accurate than Flightradar24. However all of the advertised features (other than tracking aircraft) require a premium subscription. Other than that this is a good flight tracker! 3.5/5

Enhancement request. Overall i like this app if you can allow use to choose whether the plane details pop up screen to show horizontally at the bottom as a user setting (for iPad Pro). That would be great!

Easy to feed, Great Display. I feed planefinder using an ads-b receiver at my home. This gives me a feeder subscription to their app and it is great. Being able to see all the planes near me is fun and I love being able to get alerts via notifications.

Great app and support. Finally upgraded and definitely worth it! Great features, powerful but intuitive interface. Love the alert options and filters. I contacted support one evening and got an answer the next morning that was helpful and very thorough - not cookie cutter generic, shout out to Jodie!

Pretty Disappointing. Does not perform as advertised. The filtering capability that they show for aircraft types (military, commercial, etc) does not exist. The “filter” the DO offer only allows excluding transponder types/frequencies, and no instructions or help is included. The developer, aside from asking you to contact them with problems, is otherwise unresponsive. Lastly, I can watch commercial planes flying overhead on approach to Dulles and they don’t show up in the app.

Too Many Ads, and difficult to kill them quickly. A nice app that works pretty well except that adds pop up at a much higher rate than most other advert supported apps that I have. If it went for more minutes between all the freaking adverts, I would give it a higher rating.... as flight tracker, its just fine, touch the plane icon and you get plane data.... if its not interrupted by another freaking advert.

Don't expect a 3D demo anymore. Removed.. This used to be such a good app. Now it's bombarded with ads, and they quietly removed the 3D plane trial. I can't even see it or test it out anymore because there simply isn't an option. It used to be a paid upgrade within the app and now it's a separate one completely for $5. Of course they blended it in with "minor bug fixes" so you wouldn't notice, but I did. Just when I was going to purchase the feature. You just lost a potential customer.

Where I live in Tennessee, Atlanta is 120 (+/-) miles to my southeast, Nashville is 170 (+\-) miles to my west, and there are loads of planes that fly over. I so throughly enjoy seeing several aircraft in the skies above so I can use this app to determine what type of plane, where it began its journey to its destination, then vicariously experience what the passengers are experiencing.

Recommend by Big Jet and now recommended by me too.. What an amazing app. Easy to understand,, absolutely fantastic like MentourPilot. As a retired airline pilot and husband of a Flight Attendant. This is my only go to App for stalking my 1st wife, which is my current wife. Joking aside this is an amazing App!

Poor tracking for landing. Enjoy the app except when plane should be landing. Will freeze at a point and just continue through the runway path and keeps going until you exit the tracking. Then it disappears from the screen. Would like to see that bug fit.

Purchased app outright but now they want to charge me for ‘premium’. One of these business models where they sell you the app as a one time purchase and then change their mind to go to a subscription model. Great info on the app but don’t stand behind lack of integrity. If this was my business (and what I’ve done with my businesses), is continue to honor the deal I made with the early users.

Customer service. I had an issue with the app but their customer service was beyond great! They walked me through the issue and I was back up quickly. Thanks again!

Best Flight Tracker App!!. I’ve tried 3 or 4 different flight tracker apps and this is by far the best one. It has an easy to read radar map, flight schedule, and the detailed information for each flight is easy to locate and read. I highly recommend this app!!

So much for so little! (Part 1 - for now.). As a subscriber to FlightRadar24 (FR24) my expectations were already high given how accurate and innovative that app is. As a United Airlines CSR at Logan/Boston, FR24 is a tool I use at work. Especially when I’m meeting a diverted flight. My initial impression of of this app is - it’s fantastic! I’m very much looking forward to seeing whether my hunch is in fact true. That this app will swamp FR24 in terms of customizable settings and options. It’s already blown FR24 out of the water in terms of subscription costs. So far - CONGRATS!

Hard to find a flight. I can know the flight number and type it in but I can never pull up that flight. I have to use the map to go to the airport and look for the plane as it goes to the runway and then I can follow a specific flight because I’ve found the actual plane. That part is good that I can find it that way. But it’s a royal pain to have to search for a flight that way.

Very helpful app. I downloaded several flight radar apps to get information on the sudden increase in private plane traffic over my house. This app is the only one that’s giving me accurate information. It shows me the height, speed, model of aircraft, and flight pattern. So far no glitches.

Why I like Plane Finder. It’s been very helpful to view not only the type of jet, height of travel, and airline, but it’s also good to see the directions being chosen for inbound or outbound approaches depending of weather and wind conditions! Now if you could only do away w idiotic ads that have nothing to do w me....

Amateur. Free version works. Easy to use. Limited information so you need to buy the better version if your interest is professional. New version is more convenient and easier to use and provides basic information.

Save the alerted tracks for later viewing. App needs to save at least the last three tracks for every aircraft on the user's alert list. Currently, the alerts are only viewable for a few minutes after the notification is sent.

Airplanes over your house. Where I live planes are flying by at a pace every 45 seconds... directly in the flight path in Metro Detroit September 2018. I find the app excellent with exception of the tracker for flight patterns off. Many planes indicate they’re away from my home when they are directly over

Always know where my 'flying' friends are!!. I check flight status several times throughout flights for many of my coworkers, family and friends. On the App almost every week. So convenient with up to date accurate information.

Please dont waste time. I honestly after a week of having this app, I believe that I should stay with FlightRadar24 , the best plane tracking app, because every 5-6 planes I click on, it wants me to get premium and I aint wasting my money on some premium, I just love to see what planes are in the sky! All in all a couple of bugs but I will re install in a couple of months to see the progress!

Amazing world of planes. Just amazing how u can track any plane, helicopters and even hot air balloon’s on 1 site. Every time I look up above my home I check out air planes to see where they are going and how high they are flying.

Amazing App.. Love this app. Totally nerd out on everything about nearly any flying object in the world. Only thing I’d suggest (unless it’s already there and I just haven’t found it yet) is to be able to view route maps for individual airlines and their corresponding schedules. Anyway, great app. Totally worth the premium price.

Turned to crap. I use to be able to follow flights in an out of local airports. Does not show any of them now. Not even sure about other flights. Says they are there but don’t see them.

Great app, some problems. I love the app so far, something frustrating is that when I go to click on a flight that has an out and back pattern. Let's say I click on a plane landing in Chicago, if the flight originated in Chicago, flew to cedar rapids, then right back to Chicago, I will see the whole out and back trajectory instead of the route back. That's a bit annoying and I wish I could turn that off

Paid for premium. I set weather overlay but it still doesn’t show weather. Settings don’t apply or get me anywhere. Plus alerts are set but can’t see the planes- set to show planes at certain airport. Shows the number but you can’t see what they are. Airport list is deficient too. Why did I pay? Nothing new in premium that benefits me.

Amazing Plane Finder app for iPad !. Great options .. easy to use (read the preview for features and the support information provided) .. the 3D option and custom filtering are some of the new features to explore. Frequent feature additions and updates shows robust app support. Great job!

It was better. I used to be able to start tracking the planes from the terminal. As well as follow them to the next terminal. Which is now very rare on either count. I expected it to be better once I started to pay for it. Too often I try to identify a passing plane as they by pass here and there isn’t one showing on the app.

Trouble with “premium” subscription resolved. Customer service was most helpful when resolving a problem with loading the premium version of Plane Finder on a new iPad…ver patient, with clear instructions. Kudos!

i use it for fun. its great. i love it. i pay for it. i have big astronomy binoculars and i live due east of o'hare and love seeing the black of the engine intakes on a 787 rocketing its way to africa. you wanna see the colors of vertical stabilizers at 30k? 20x80s on a tripod. how many winglets have you seen recently? binoculars on a tripod. last week a different 787 make a turn right over my house at 20k feet right through the thinnest clouds. didnt need the binoculars for that one. i get that because of this app. its got filters, which lets me ignore single aisles. gotta be a big boy for me to get the binoculars out! one thing though.......id love a very dim red and black mode for when im stargazing :)
