Over 24 Hours for Email?. The application is really very good. My issue is it takes so long for the email to reach the model. Yesterday I sent the email to the model before noon. It was not received until almost 10 pm today. If this is an expected behavior, shouldn’t it be disclosed beforehand?

Not a bad app… with some glitches. The only issue I find with the app is sometimes after a model signs it, it doesn't always go through or just vanishes and then shows up without a signature. Which leads me to a question is there a way you can develop inside of this app so that if this happens I can send the release form to the model to be signed? What if for example you doing a shoot and totally forget to have them sign it?

Useful But Clunky. While the app is useful for getting releases and sending them to models and agents, it’s UI is from the early days of iOS. It’s clunky and tedious to use. Releases can’t be customized in their layout, so you get what you get in PDF form. I’d like for it to be more customizable to match my branding. It crashes frequently on the current iOS and iPhone. I’d love if the developer would update the UI to look modern, have elegant animations or use cards, and to have a dark mode.

Better than most but could still use UI updates. This is app seems to be better than almost all the other release apps but could still use work with the user interface. Almost there! We use these on shoots where we are rapidly going through many people to have them sign the release, it’d be great to just be able hand the phone to the person and the app be self explanatory, but navigating through the sections is a little clunky and always requires someone guiding them through it. A customer mode where given parameters are locked in (like shoot name, that they’re an Adult, and it’s a model release) and the only thing they need to do is enter their name take a picture and provide only a phone number are email, followed by directly leasing to signature would be great. As it stands you have to guide them to the signature page, it doesn’t present automatically. Sorry for the long review but the app is almost perfect. The cloud sync across devices is amazing. It just needs to be more user friendly with a cleaner UI.

Works great!. Pretty easy to use and set up. Many photoshoot done using this app and always just the best results and clarity for the model and for us as a photograohers.

Too cumbersome when processing multiple releases. I’m doing a photo essay of a specific population. At times, I can have several people lined up for a portrait to be included in the exhibit. This app is cumbersome and frustrating when trying to get a quick release. I’m no longer using this and am just using a paper form for them to fill out. Multiple people can be completing their releases, freeing me up to focus on the portraits.

App is broken.. I would steer clear of this app until they get it figured out. I purchased this app thinking it would be more functional and less glitchy than some free alternatives out there but this simply doesn’t work. When you try to send a shoot to yourself model and or not included (I tried both ways) it didn’t give me the option to choose an image size until I restarted the app. Then the swoosh sound that confirms an email has been sent decided to stop working. On top of that even when it did make a sound it never actually sent my test shoot. For $10 dollars seriously this is bad. I mind as well go back to buggy alternative apps (at least they work) or just do it the old school way, pen and paper. These apps are designed to make our tasks easier not complicate them right? I sent a bug complaint but I’m hoping this review will get me answers a little faster, take all and happy shooting. ✌️

WORTHLESS🤮. This app stopped working a long time ago and I’ve paid for the full version. After contacting the developers multiple times and trying to work with them to fix it from freezing up on me, I have finally given up on them. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Great and quick customer service!. They addressed some questions I had about custom fields and solved it very quickly! App is working great!

Works well enough. Utilitarian, gets the job done. The ability to create custom releases is great. My biggest complaint is with syncing. I would like to see it add Dropbox support for syncing, rather than just iCloud.

Fast support. Had a big. Fixed quickly. I had a bug and wasn’t able to make releases. Support responded within 24 hrs. Now I’m back to using this great app.

Easy Release -. I just started using this app but I am extremely impressed by it. Excellent and quick response from the support team. Would highly recommend this to any photographer seeking an online, easily available solution to getting model/property release from clients

Horrible!. I used to like this app and used it for all my model contracts but now I cannot go back and select a contract that I created (but neither the model or I signed) to edit and sign. Once I create it and leave that screen it is “frozen” on the home page. I have so many contracts I created and now cannot even select to erase. Im using a iphone 11. Used to be a great app. I even purchased the in applications upgrades. Now worthless to me.

Replaced all my paper. Once I started to use this app I no longer had a need for paper releases. I can keep multiple versions of releases both property and model and customize them to fit my needs. In addition the back up to the cloud and email pdfs ensures that both the model and I have a copy.

Great but not updated for over a year. Getty has a new enhanced release (that includes biometric data and machine learning clauses) and this app has not updated yet. You can add text yourself if you own the upgraded version, but I wish they would just update the default text or give an option for enhanced release.

Excellent App.. Up until i found this app everything I had done in the way of recording models releases was done on paper. Unfortunately more times than not I lost the paperwork. In addition to those problems I also had to keep redoing the paperwork even though I had worked with the model several times in the past. This app makes it easy to bring forward all the information for a particular model as well as make note of any particular occurrences during the shoot.

Most Complete App Out There - But Buggy. I really like all the features that this app has to offer. Compared to other model release apps, this one is more complete, and decently user friendly. Since I paid for it, I’m going to use this software as my contract creator until I find something new/better/less buggy (see complaint #2 below). Two complaints though (each worth a docked star) - 1 - Paying for different in-app purchases seems a bit greedy - bump the price up for the Advanced pack and combine the features of the others - “Advanced” eludes to its being complete, but it’s not. 2 - BUGGY. When creating custom releases, typing in the fields, the app will randomly bounce back to its creation screen, not saving ANY of the info typed. I had to go into notepad to type up the whole thing, then copy and paste it into this app; a few times even the short amount of time to paste the wording into the field wasn’t enough to click “Done” and save it - quite annoying! ** I’ve updated the iPad, charged the iPad, rebooted the iPad, made sure no other apps were open on the iPad, turned off WiFi & Bluetooth. Uninstalled & reinstalled this app. It’s still buggy.

Great app. Great support.. I don’t remember how much I paid for the app originally and I did purchase all the add-ons and I have to say it was and is completely worth the cost. I am an amateur photographer that love shooting people and this has made it easier to have the paperwork with me without having to carry paperwork with me. It helps to protect the models and me. The customizable features are great. I find examples all over the web and can customize them to my need depending on the subject matter. With regards to support, I have reached out once and received a reply in less than an hour. Great customer service. Finally, it should be noted that the doesn’t provide legal advice. If you want to be 100% sure, check the language of your release forms with an attorney. This app is only a tool. A great tool but should not replace legal advice. Keep up the great work.

Outstanding. This little app fulfills its promise. Layout and sign off procedure are friendly and quick. Also, responsive and helpful tech support. I also purchased the advanced customization add-on.

LOVE this ap. This ap is everything I want it to be. It makes model releases so easy and organized. No more papers. It works great for me and I highly recommend it as a pro photographer.

Almost Perfect. Would like the ability to customize a little bit more, like being able to delete some of the built in questions that are unnecessary for my model release to make my signing process quicker. Absolutely needs full iCloud syncing so I can see all of my releases (not just model photos....) from my iPad or iPhone. And it could stand to look a little nicer, less 1990 and a little more 2017 with nice typefaces and a lighter more modern look. Definitely gets the job done, but not without picky gripes. Would recommend overall and haven't found an app that looks better that does everything I need (custom release, model photo, signatures, QUICK for fast paced events)

Solid App - Could use some Updating. This is a feature-rich release app which offers tons of flexibility for working photographers and videographers. It could, however, use some stability improvements to work smoothly on the latest iOS builds - lack of updates, random crashes, failures to initialize, and intermittent hang-ups call into question the price tag on this software.

Great app and great customer service. The best deal for such an affordable price. Extremely reliable and professional. Must have for all professional photographers. Wonderful customer service as well.

No Customer Seevice. This app was awesome until it locked up on me and wouldn’t recover. I contacted customer service via email and received a response that I needed to delete the app and re download it. I’ve done this to no avail and when I wrote back to customer service I received no response. After multiple attempts to delete and re download the app, I’ve all but given up on their customer service and their cookie cutter responses.

Unable to set signed forms. App is great until you need to access your forms. Unable to down load, email my signed forms. This makes the photo shoot I did useless and close me hundreds of dollars. I treated it before use and with on model per shoot it worked great. This time I had 4 models and after the first two got emailed to me it stopped working. Keeps crashing. Simply freezes up when trying to email me my PDF of the contract.

Won’t email. I honestly LOVE this app! However, recently I cannot get it to sent releases via email. It’s extremely frustrating and causing extra time now to get my releases because I can’t download them to my phone from my Google drive either. Would love some advise if possible.

Perfect for the camera bag. I’ve been using this for all my releases for more than two years now. It’s nice to be able to have multiple different releases you can setup for the various situation you’ll be shooting photos in. Having your models and shoot info on the device makes for quick releases. Adding new models, shoots, and property is relatively quick as well so if your on location with new people you can just quickly add them. Saving and sending completed releases to your model is a breeze. The app will also save them to iCloud, Google Drive, and Dropbox. It is missing OneDrive though. You won’t regret purchasing this app. This one won’t break the bank and is very useful. As a photographer we spend thousands on our equipment and this is another tool you need in your bag so you can afford to skip a latte or two and purchase this.

Great App and Support!. Just started using the app and it’s filling out needs perfectly! Having Dropbox and google sync integration is very useful. I had contacted the developer with a question and they immediately responded back and came up with a solution for my specific need! I look forward to finding great success with this app.

Works well, easy to use, harder to set up. Easy Release works well on my iPad Pro 10.5" (2017). It requires Apple Mail to be configured if you want to email releases directly from the app. I don't use Apple Mail, so this is an annoyance, but as long as I don't actively run Apple Mail, it won't download mail as I've set it to fetch mail manually. Having the releases upload directly to Dropbox is great! You can purchase a couple of different upgrades from inside Easy Release, but there's no way to test them out to see if you really need them. So far, for me, I haven't needed the upgrades. I tend to agree with other reviewers in that we've paid for the app, it seems a bit strange for the developers to charge nearly 25% more for some features which many believe should be part of the app. Technical Support from the developer was fast and thorough.

Mostly Works. Easy release Pro is a nice quick way to get model releases. The only problem it’s that they are stuck on your phone because the “send” function doesn’t work. If this got fixed it would be much better

Best App for Model Releases. This app is one I have in every device. Since I always have my phone and IPads with me, I always have my needed releases. The customization helps me create and store the different types of releases needed for my different jobs. I only wish it was easier to add the custom fields, it is a pain to create the place holders. But nonetheless, once you learn how, it’s more than sufficient.

Horrible app!!!!. I used to sent all my releases with this app,after updating it all my model and mine details are gone. I have to input everything all over again and can’t even restore my previous purchase!

expensive. you get a lot for the $10 purchase price. but in order to customize your model release, to add fields, it asks for another $5. Paying $10 for an app is a lot, I’m not happy to now find that I need to pay another $5 to add a field to my model release.

Terrific app and great support. Easy and quick. Fabulous support as well. No brainer if you need model releases on the fly.

Worth it. As literally the only electronic release that some agencies will accept, I initially resented having to get this app. Especially in the age of “everything is available for free”. I felt like I was being pushed into buying something I didn’t want or need. Having used it for several months now, I’ve totally changed my mind. This is truly a great app. It has a well thought-out interface and terrific support. When I contacted support recently about a perceived problem, they didn’t just help me out. We actually exchanged 6-7 emails as they helpfully explained a “hidden” feature in the app. With automatic saving of releases to multiple cloud platforms, my releases are always available where and when I need them. I wish I had gotten it much sooner!

Does all the hard work for me. Was recommended to me by other videographers. I don’t know what I would do without this app. It does all the hard work for me. I’m still fairly new to model and property releases and I love knowing that I’m covered for each shoot. So convenient, easy to use, it’s almost too good to be true. I suddenly lost the ability to email the releases my way. Contacted customer support and received a detailed response within 24 hours. Problem solved. Definitely recommend!!!

Almost great, but one issue. I like the app. Best one I have tested. The only issue I see as a shortcoming, and a fairly significant one at that, is that it seems to require iOS Mail to send releases. I use a 3rd party Mail/calendar app (Spark) because, frankly, there are several that are much better than iOS Mail. Make it work with 3rd party email apps and it will be a fantastic product.

Efficient and consistent. I have used easy release for many years, and it’s been consistently reliable, and very helpful. It’s interface is easy to use, and most importantly, and what is essential, is that they are very knowledgeable, and quick to provide solutions. Customer service also responds immediately. It’s been a terrific resource for me when I need signatures in the field.

Do not trust what the developer says, this app is flawed and untrustworthy.. This app is extremely buggy, if you’re a professional and need to rely on acquiring a model release in an efficient and trustworthy system, avoid this app. The creator of this app will reply to this and say that it needs to be deleted and reinstalled, it’s a red herring. Deleting and reinstalling the app, ensuring you’re on the latest operating system, clearing all the settings and starting from scratch, make zero difference for the fact that this app is flawed and needs major changes to be reliable and trustworthy again. From a full-time veteran professional, do not trust this for such a critical component of your work.

Excellent model release. I believe this is the only model release Gettyimages takes. I have been using it for years.

Can you email to GET a signature? (Instead of signing on phone?). I’m now taking photos that require social distancing. Even handing someone a stylus that’s been hand-sanitized isn’t safe during COVID-19. I’d like to be able to email the release to the model for them to sign and return via email. Is this possible? Updated: Thanks for your response. I couldn’t find contact info for support in the app. Is it the option for “Feedback”? I sent an email using that but wasn’t sure if it was the right place.

Not impressed. Love the app but not impressed that it deletes the releases after 30 days without notice. Lost a whole bunch of releases. Thanks for that!

Like it heaps. This is a very straightforward app that seems to cover all bases. Can't wait for iStockphoto to approve the use of digital releases.

Not ideal. This app crashes a lot, has a very outdated design and doesn’t seem to work at all when sending the release forms to email. Needs a redo.

Excellent. Simply a brilliant way of doing the tedious task of getting your model releases. This is the first model & property release app I've seen that allows you to modify or add your own data which for me justified the cost difference to it's competitors app. I can highly recommend it. JB.

Does not have release templates. It only comes with one standard release template. Secondly it got a footer saying this release was made by Easy Release which does not look professional at all. Not happy with the purchase.

Needs a update. This app is broken on iPhone 7+ and iOS 10

Why won't it open. I saw a review that this app wouldn't open, but as there were quite a lot of 4 stars I decided to take the risk. I have just purchased an app for way more than I would normally, and woah and behold, it doesn't open!! Not on my computer or my iPhone!! Please fix this as I was going to rely on this for my portrait shoots. Now I see that it is unreliable!!

Good. It's pretty slick and works well. Not totally jazzed about the price so knocking a star off to represent my frustration for if and when they drop the price.

MUST HAVE!!. I don't usually write reviews but absolutely love this app and had to share. The days of printing model releases off before heading out on a shoot are gone and to be able to customise releases to suit your shoot is an added bonus as the template ones are a good starting point. Not only are you able to email releases on the spot, you are able to use the information collected to build client databases. A must have app!

Not working. Opens to a completely black screen on my iPhone with the latest iOS 12.1.1 Update: love the snarky quotes around the word “review” in the developer response.

Major bug. If you check the model signature on a day after the shoot, view it to make sure it is there then press done, it updates the sign date and time to the day you checked it. This should not happen. The time stamp should only be updated if the actual signature is changed or added, not by just viewing its existence. Fix this ASAP.

Please update!!. It worked great before the iOS 10 update. Now I can't see the top field. Also, can you please include an option for creating a jpg instead of PDF as most photo libraries only accept jpgs. Thanks!

Oustanding Software. I am just startingout in photography and I have to say this app will help me immensly. Easy to set up and get running and the support of the developers is superb. Difficult. Annoying. After using excellent Releases Getty changes to this. $15. in app purchases! complicated and try putting a pic of model on if you dont use the camera! It comes up after the camera is closed?????

Easy Release on an iPhone 3G - Excellent!. I am a professional photographer. I hate paperwork. I particularly hate Photo Release forms when working in the field - I often have to photograph lots of people in a short time. Many of my clients insist on Photo Release forms so unless the client is there to handle these forms it is up to me. Inevitably the paper forms become tattered or torn or lost. I also need a foolproof way to relate the paper form with the photographs. All very tiresome. This is where Easy Release comes into play. This app cost me $13.00 Australian. I charge more than this for one high res file so if I lose ONE paper form I am unable to sell the client that high res file, as they won't use the picture without a release. So, after ONE release, I have in effect paid for the app. Two releases and I am well into profit. Figure in the time saving of having to relate paper forms with a particular subject, ensuring those forms get to the client safely, photocopying them to have my own copy etc etc you can see that using Easy Release is a far, far better method. These release files can easily be stored with the images. I have clients who all like their own wording in their releases. I can cater to those needs with this app and can easily swap which release to use. There are many features which you can read about on the web for this app. I won't go into them here but there are some nice touches, for example if you insert the subject's date of birth, you receive a message that if the subject is a minor that you will need a parent's signature. While I am very impressed with this app, it is not perfect. Having the subject and witness sign the document onscreen is awkward on the iPhone as there is limited space to do so and the resulting signature appears a bit jerky. Perhaps using a third-party stylus suitable for the iPhone may solve this problem, although this is additional expense with the ever present possibility of losing your stylus (or having a subject absent mindedly walking off with it). The app will remember (in a drop down list) which country you are in, and/or which state/region you are in. I would prefer it to be set as a default and only change it as necessary. Perhaps this is possible, but as I say, I couldn't work out how to do it. The other annoying aspect of this was that the phone came up with Austria when I typed in 'Aust', not Australia which actually comes before Austria alphabetically. Even after I input 'Austra' the phone/app didn't respond with 'Australia' and I had to type it all in. The only other main concern I have is that when hitting the send button to email the release in either pdf or jpeg format (or both) to yourself and/or your subject is that there is no indication that anything is happening. So you hit the button again, and again. Eventually it sends and you receive multiple copies. If you are in a region that has poor reception you can store the releases on the phone until you are once again able to send them off. Overall, I think this is an excellent app and that any photographer who has need of model releases should seriously consider using it, with the proviso that the end user of your images accepts digital releases such as provided by Easy Release. The web site for Easy Release is a bit light-on when it comes to Help information and would benefit from lots more 'How To's etc'. Having said that I received a reply to a query overnight - you people on the other side of the world sleep at the wrong time - that answered my question clearly and concisely. As I said above, an excellent app.

Emails not working. Can't send emails from my device. Can't send feedback or bug reports because I need to be able to send an email. App is useless without this function.

Best Idea Ever!. Such a life saver!

Easy and Convenient. Shooting an event for a shopping center today and having Easy Release made my life, well, easier. I needed releases for some of the shots as they had kids under 18. And the parents just loved the novelty of signing my phone with their finger. 😁 Definitely worth the paid version if you're shooting more than a couple of models.

Hate this app. It is not clear that this app will only work if you link your phone to a mail system. It would not link to my onedrive. And I can’t send any feedback to the developer unless my mail is synced which I can’t do on my phone due to multiple accounts. The font is tiny. There are far too many steps. Save your money.

Brilliant. Absolute brilliant use of the iPad, I take it out on shoots with me now and get model releases signed digitally!

Great app and awesome customer service!. Easy to use and once you set up your logo, signature etc. it’s even easier. Very helpful on location to be able to fo a quick release with models. Multi dates option (in-app purchase) and saved list of models, locations help you move faster. I recently have issues with iCloud set up and I wasn’t able to send emails from the app. The customer service solved my problem with a very detailed email instantly. Don’t look further if you are a stock contributor or you need media release form for a commercial shoot!

Very handy app but crashes quite often. I’ve used east release for years as it’s so much easier than paper releases! You just have to be ready for it to crash (I’m on latest iPhone) - it saves the release but you have to go back through the list to find it before you can continue. Other than this ongoi ng bug it’s great.

Pretty Great. Well, bad news first, though there's not much of it. I have used more intuitive interfaces, and though this is not bad, it could be better. Still, it's not a serious complaint, and if I could award 4.5 stars I would. On balance, I like this app a lot. It's fairly pricey for an app, but not compared to the price of a lawyer, and the releases it produces seem pretty good, though I don't have the legal training to be totally sure. At any rate, they'll probably make that one difficult client pause for thought. The ability to build on the existing templates to suit the release to your business is nice, so you don't ever have to start from scratch. Also, the app makes explicit mention of Australia and New Zealand law, and as an Aussie it's nice to know that this will hold water on both sides of the equator. If you have cause to create a paper-trail for your photography, whether because you shoot weddings or are an established image supplier or whatever, or just because you hope to sell a few images eventually, this is probably an app worth the purchase price.

Just purchased. Just purchased and used for the first couple shoots. Love it so far.

Possibly the developer's first Apple-based application?. The interface is quite strange and not following the typical UI themes or the design quality associated with most apps even in the top 50 of this category. The developer has instead opted for a solid black background, large roundrect buttons and hiding pages of descriptive text behind "(i)" information bubbles rather than designing an interface to accommodate the information. Status areas in the Model Release Summary allow you to press them, they stay in their active appearance but do nothing (if a /button/ reads: signature required, pressing that button should take me to the entry screen. If it has no action, don't make it a button). When you first open the app you're given a screen you have no choice but to accept, letting you know that the releases it produces are not legal documents, which while needless to say also produces a terrible first-use experience. Despite paying for the application the company decides to put its logo, website url and program name on all your releases. The application does as it says, but through close to a dozen screen-fuls per release created, and while feeling like paper releases are actually the faster method to go back to using. It "works" in that it produces a release (whether agencies even accept the releases is a wholly different matter that the developer claims they're working on) but I'm giving it the solid two star for "don't like it." I really hope they work on making this the great app it can become! I'd love to re-rate this as a 5, or to feel like $10 in photocopied releases wouldn't be the better long-term purchase.

Great but buggy.. Overall love this app and find it quite useful, unfortunately with the latest update, I’m experiencing frequent crashes and lockup’s. This especially happens when I try to create a PDF version of the release.

Hangs on startup. Used to be excellent, but the current version hangs on startup on the latest iOS 15 releases. Bummer!

Awesome app!. I've used Easy Release for the last couple of years and I love it. Easy to edit and customize, it gives a professional appearance and easily organizes releases and keeps me on track. Highly recommended!

Solid, through app, great customer support. When my other release app crashed and burned after an Apple update, I found Easy Release. It's easy to customize and pretty cool actually. Worth the money even if our dollar is down about 25 cent US.

Finally. I've never thought beyond pen, paper and a clipboard. Now I can have all my releases pre-filled before going out to a shoot. Then have everything signed organized and sent to my Dropbox account instantly. It took 10 min to setup and transfer my old release terms into the app and have them customized to my company. Thank You

Broken. I have been using this app for all my photoshoots. Yesterday I went to a shoot with 5 models, didn't bring backup paper releases, and the app wouldn't work on my iPad or phone. I deleted it, reinstalled it, restarted both devices, and it wouldn't work. I can no longer trust this app for important jobs and have installed a different model release app.

Great Tool. Works like a charm and the support people are awesome. A very handy tool that adds to the professional look and feel of a shoot.

Great App with Great Customer Support.. This is by far the best model release App I have tried. It is a very impressive app. While the app is impressive I have found their customer service to be even more impressive. I just had an issue and logged it with support. The responses were quick and the problem resolved in a quick manner…..all on a Sunday to boot!! Highly recommend this app for any photog needing something for property/model releases.

Excellent app except for stale updates. DO NOT USE THIS APP IF RUNNING IOS 10.x or newer. This app is completely broken on iOS 10.x. It appears the developer has not updated it to use the current keyboard APIs or ported it to the 64bit libraries. This results in UI errors that has critical fields off screen or not clearly visible. It's a shame, because it's was easily one of the best release apps available. The website for the app used to have an admonishment to iOS 10 beta users to "not update work critical tools", but that seems to have been removed since iOS 10 went gold.

best photographer app IMHO. This app is great! Even after only creating 2 model releases, I am in love with it. It's so much easier, and convenient, to create the release electronically, and being able to add a photo to the resulting PDF and having it emailed to you and the model is a great feature. I wish I had this app (and an iPad) years ago!

Misleading. Description says forms/fields are completely customizable but fails to mention this is only after another in-app purchase. Would have been nice to know that the app is actually $15 if you want to make use it properly as described. Feel ripped off. There are other much cheaper apps that allow many more options for customization.

Easy First Use. Got the app, made a test release, sent it, all went well and unusually easy to use. Don’t yet know how it will work in real life, but should be ok. Update: Got the advanced pack too. Recommended, even if just for completeness. Needs more instructions, but got a speedy email response that showed me how to get to its features. Sent a test to myself, worked well. My iPad pencil does work to capture signatures. Be sure it shows it has a charge and select icons.

Impressive.. I was rather recalcitrant in the beginning, but this apps turns out to be quite well made and useful. Great for amateur photographers as well as professionnals.

Time saver. Great app and great customer support!! I had a problem with something that was happening and they responded with great help and suggestions within minutes till it was rectified. Such a time saver if your writing a bunch of model or property releases and time is money folks!! Thanks!!

Worked as promised. I can say anything bad about it. It did exactly what I expected and worked really well on location. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with models. It showed a level of professionalism that set the tone before the shooting started.

Well worth the price, but..... This is a first rate app worth five times the asking price. I guess one drawback could be that not all of the "bottom dwellers" in the microstock world will accept it. Worse yet they could even hold back on their .25 cent payouts. But for myself it's nice to always have an app like this app to hand.

Address field missing in action!. Hard to believe there isn't a field for an address? Or is this extra on top of the extra 'pro' version I just paid for? Not impressed yet....

Black screen. Doesn’t work, don’t buy yet. Considering I paid for the app I expect it to work. It hasn’t worked in a while so I’ve been using paper releases, like I used to do. After a year I tried an erase and reinstall and it appears to work kinda, still loads the same black screen sometimes. I may just use pages or word and make a template I can save to their cloud service instead.

Bugs. This is the only app approves by iStock so I bought it. It bugs regularly. - when I want to add a new release, it does not always work. I have to quit the app and reenter - sometimes it does not want to connect to icloud so I have to enter my credentials again I’m disappointed

Great app, has property releases. This app saves me tons of time not having to carry around and find papers that seem to never be on me when I need them. The interface is clean and easy to use, both for the photographer and signing party. It also includes property releases as well. Great buy, worth the $10.

Great app for releases.... I have been using this app for a number of years because it works so well. Models love it and leave with a copy of the release in their email at the end of the shoot.

The best, most useful app for photographers!. This app is the absolute best of it's kind!! Every Photographer should have Easy Release. Talk about EASY - works like a charm with NO bugs, no learning curve, no filler stuff etc. Just plain genius! I used to always forget to bring release forms but thanks to this app, I've got a signed release with every single model I've worked with since buying it!! And the instant email function is pure gold - both model, and photog, get the fully completed release immediately! And, last but not least, their support is prompt and very helpful! I emailed them some questions and within 24 hours I had the answers!! Definitely 5 Stars and highly recommended ~ Cliff

Cannot access. Used to work great, but all I get is a black screen now. Tried to troubleshoot by uninstalling and reinstalling, power off and on... nothing. Please fix!

Very Convenient. I have had Easy Release for over a year. I don't do much work with models, but when I've used it it's worked out well. I had stopped for a while as one of my agencies wouldn't accept electronic releases, but it has just agreed to, so I can use this and not carry paper releases. Even without the extra pack, it can be customized with your own header and even specific release wording. The Pro Pack just makes it even more flexible at a reasonable cost. I have received very fast customer service. I had a question today (Sunday) about transferring it to my iPad, and received an answer in minutes. Now that iStockPhoto accepts this release, it's the only way to go.

Poor interface and language, very buggy, deleted model signature. The concept is great. The execution is poor. Poor logic and visual design. The app developer is confused about legal terms versus model management versus model traits. It has potential but is critically flawed. After reading the developer’s defensive comments on critical reviews, this is unlikely a developer I will support. The legalese used for default releases is overly burdensome. Even attorneys don’t write this way anymore. Need to consult modern and contemporary contracts and photo releases. Legal semantics evolves and changes. Here it is stuck in the 1960’s. DOB and ethnicity are rarely used and not legally required, yet are defaults. Turning them off is a pain. DOB is located under something called “release management”, tacked onto the app settings in a random category. Ethnicity is a stupid default and the wrong term. I only need it where ethnicity is relevant, but it has nothing to do with legality. If so, why not add hair color, height, weight, eye color, and number of tattoos? Create an optional note section instead, don’t try to make this a legal term or default category for a contract. The photo feature is poorly executed. It automatically requires you to take a pic of your model or you must skip, meaning you have to take time formatting the release before, during or after your shoot. I don’t have that kind of time during the shoot. Shoots run differently for different assignments. If I’m shooting 30 corporate employees it is different than 1 model all day. If I take 800 photos of a model, now I need to take her snapshot with my phone? I want them to sign, then I’ll send them the release later in the day. Let me add one of the actual photos from the shoot! But NOOO! It deleted the model’s signature. I now have no release!

Bug!. Upon purchase and set up, unable to email release. I keep getting error stating, “Your device isn’t configured to send email” iPhone 13 Pro Max Device is fully configured and still will not allow for emailing release.

Misleading. Features describe customizing. I pay the $9.99 and find out they want $5 more dollars to actually customize. Is this not false advertising?

Great app for photogs!. This is a great app for portrait photographers. It lives up to it's name! Great property and model releases with the addendum to add anything else that the preset release doesn't cover. Now if the developers could add usage release, for the paid photogs that let's their models/clients use it for their portfolios. I know that can be on the addendum, but it would be easier if there is a separate release for usage. The reason for usage release is the fact that most people/clients don't know that the printed/digital image is only a "property". The copyright itself still stays with the photographer until otherwise noted in a written agreement: the photographer is giving the copyright of the image to the client. With the usage release, it will become known what the client can use the image for, either personal use or commercial use. Most paid photographers are giving personal usage, but most people/client thinks or assumes that the copyright is theirs as well since they paid for it. Not necessarily. Long story short, please add usage release. That's the only reason why I didn't put 5 stars. But if it's added, I will make it 5 stars!

Great App. Easy to use and it works flawlessly

Good but Not User Friendly. All in all I like Easy Release, but the thing that I dislike, is the amount of screens the user has to navigate before arriving at the signature page. Furthermore, if the user makes a mistake you can't go back and edit it, it makes the whole release irrelevant and you have to start again. A paper release is more user friendly. Make the app as easy as a paper release and we've got something. Furthermore it can crash your whole phone, this has happened more than once. I think this is a result of there being too many steps in the signing process. Thanks for starting the technology though, I just hope it gets easier to use on a shoot with lots of models and kids. Models find it tiresome, so I don't enjoy it because they grumble to me about it.

It's the best model release out there. Some of the settings are confusing, like why it asks for a parent's signature if your model is 18-20 years old.

It's Great!... but..... This is a great idea and app, well worth the money. I'd love to see a couple enhancements: - I have multiple clients and each wants it's own release, which is different from any other release! ;-). So, I want to create multiple custom releases, each with it's own branding... logo, company, contact info... as well as it's own body text. - Presently, when I use a paper release, many professional actors and even non-pros simply dash off their signature and print their name... maybe 15 secs. This app has many steps and is a bit time consuming, particularly on the smaller screen of the iPhone. Certainly the completeness and electronic form are worth it. But I would love to streamline the process somehow. Other than these few enhancements, this is a wonderful app and should be in every professionals iPhone.

The App Every Photog Needs. Photogs know that obtaining model and property releases is both necessary and a pain. Easy Release to the rescue. It's simple, always available, eliminates paper, and actually engages models in the process. Moreover, it's no longer a chore to manage your releases. Automatic copies as PDFs and JPEGS sent to your computer and originals stay stored on your mobile device. Don't be scared off by the price. No, it's not your average 99cent app but what it saves you in time filling out forms, scanning, storing and managing releases, the one time charge is well worth it. I'm never without my iPhone so Easy Release is always at the ready. Whenever, I have a shoot, I prepare my Easy Release in advance and gather signatures before we start. Business done and on to the fun.

the application edits the signatures. the application edits the signatures, I do not understand why it modifies the signatures. The signatures do not remain natural or resemble what was written.

Nicely done!. Being new to the filmmaking genre, I really wasn't sure about needing releases. After doing some research, I decided on Easy Release! The price tag was a hard pill to swallow at first, but once I started using it I was glad I didn't waste my money on the other apps! Being able to create as many types of releases I wanted to was a huge selling point! I don't like being constrained like the other apps! Customer support is also great! I received a reply to my question in less than 24 hours!! Two thumbs up!

Have to give 1 star as the support link here does not work. Email feature seems to be broken, ”Send” button in app greyed out. So, I can't send copy of model release. Support link to developer Website broken.

Not good. It is not step by step. it is not user friendly while setting it up

Fantastic app & customer support!!. Incredibly useful app for any photographer wanting to streamline their workflow. Very easy to set up, use, modify the included releases and/or create your own with all the same functionality. I had an issue including a data field in a modified document and their customer service reps were very quick to help me troubleshoot the problem. In the end I had omitted/overlooked the field from the modified document...once I put it in the problem was solved. Its not for everyone, but if you think you can get some mileage from his app and streamline your business, I highly recommend it.

Almost Perfect. I am very impressed by all this App provides. To be perfect, I wish the forms were just a little more customizable, for instance I don’t require a mailing address for the release and would rather turn that off. I also wish the custom form fields had the availability of a check box or radio button. I found the application works great for the photographer, but I had wished this was something I could more easily hand to my talents and have them fill in their own information on the device. For example, the custom fields do not appear in the wizard, that’s a limitation in usability. I wish I didn’t have to input the same shoot info for each model, seems like this could be organized as a shoot category folder, or even a drop down list of recent shoots. I’d like to be able to take a shot of say three students, then have them fill in their details using a simplified intuitive form.

One Photography Problem Solved. After 20+ years of fumbling through the camera bag looking for those paper model release forms, only to find I'd used them up, or lost them, then having to deal with saving them safely, Easy Release comes along now to solve all those headaches. This iPhone app is my new best friend in the field. I'm now confident I'm getting the right legal language and the releases are getting sent to my in-Box safely. I'm very happy to be able to take a quick snap of the model and store it with the signature. This makes it easy to match the right model and shooting situation to my images. Brilliant.

A New Tool in My Camera Bag. This is an abbreviated review, since I've used Easy Release once so far, but I already appreciate the app's flexibility and straightforward features. I recently spent three months chasing down several paper releases from a farmer and several of his employees—I made the mistake of trying to secure them after-the-fact. Hey, what could go wrong, right? Turns out farmers are pretty busy after the harvest (planting, spraying, etc.), and they aren't thinking about model or property releases, but if I'd had Easy Release those forms would have been completed (literally) in the field. You can bet I'll have my iPod, and Easy Release, in my camera bag next year. I should mention: I had two questions about the app prior to buying it, and they were answered quickly and satisfactorily—that made my purchase an easy decision.

Updated to ios9 lost syncing but fixed. I opened the app after updating the new iOS 9 update. All of my release that was synced to my iCloud has gone missing. Where did they go and is there a way to view them using different method such as desktop? I need those releases. There is also not an option for sync with I cloud any longer with this update. This needs to be fixed. Update. Got an email from them telling me what I should do to fix this issue. I apparently did not have iCloud Drive set to ON. You must do this in order to sync with iCloud. Right now it's saying its upgrading with constant wheel turning on the iCloud setting but that's apples fault. Once I turned that on and went back to the app everything was there. Great app. I use it all the time!

Great way to go paperless on the iPhone, looks pro too!. Great little app for the iPhone, definitely has a professional feel to both the app and also the signature process. PDF files come out SHARP, definitely something I can see being mailed or handed to me. Additionally I like the added touch of the signatures appearing in a blue ink style which definitely adds to it. Honestly if anything wrong with the app and this could be just me is the sharp strokes when putting a signature down, I tend to just write my name with a few distinguishing marks to the letters but noticed the strokes in for example an "h" seem too sharp, other then that the app is flawless! I havent tried this on the iPad but I'm suspecting that I'd love it even more due to the larger screen.

Great Tool For Photogs. I bought the iPad to aid me in my photography business as a portfolio and as a business tool. I figured that eventually some good applications would appear to help me with the business end. I could not believe Easy Release was available so soon and is as robust as it is. Model release are essential if I want to use images for further promotion of my business and this app. makes it truly simple and keeps me organized too. No more lost paperwork!! I highly recommend this software. I hope they will tackle invoices and contracts next.

Not working. Why pay $10 for an app that deletes past releases and constantly freezes? Really disappointed.

A must-have for photographers and filmmakers. I was in the middle of a shoot with a stack of paper release forms thinking, "man, there should really be an app for this". I took a look and this was the first one that popped up. I scanned the screenshots and decided if $10 would save me all of the headache of pushing around paper,scanning,organizing my release forms I'd give it a go. BEST CHOICE I made. Super straight forward to create release forms and take a photo of the model or property right there and have them sign. Then just email them as the PDF(s) right there or later. It'll even let you send the entire shoot as one batch email. Boom. You just saved yourself a LOT of time dealing with release forms. GET IT!

Doesn’t work. Just downloaded this app and it doesn’t work. Upon clicking store releases on iCloud the app freezes.

Why?. Why is there no way to send a contract to retrieve a digital signature?!?

Waste of money. None of the stocks( adobe,getty,istock,shutter) accepted the releases I made in this app. Waste of money. Unpleasant.

The classic, the best, could be better. This was the first model release app I ever learned about back in 2009 and while I have tried others, I find this to be the most useful - albeit it does take some getting used to. It has a rather structured process for filling out a release and you need your templates setup in advance, but it comes with the getty/istockphoto approved standard release by default. You can also modify fields later by tapping on them before signing the completed form. It's a clean and simple interface, but takes some getting used to - still better than a kludgy interface that tries to do too much. Many new custom features available in the $3.99 customization pack.

Good App with Extremely Frustrating UI Option. I use this app on every shoot. I believe it is the best release app because it guides people through the release info. The problem is the birth date page. I hand my phone to models to fill out while I do something else and about 75% of the time, they enter their birthday and then hit the adult button next to the date button, deleting their birth date info. I won’t realize this until way later when I’m dealing with the releases and have to chase people down for info. This is unbelievably frustrating and I can’t be the only one who have people have issues with it. I have emailed them how to disable the adult button as a custom option and they said there was no way to do this. This layout needs to be exceptionally more clear to people. Or let me disable it all together.

Is not working !. I have this app for a while but now each time when I’m trying to open the app I have only black screen. I reinstalled the app but this did not fix the problem.

Greedy Developers.. This application is a decent answer for low level legal agreements for release forms, but the greed of the developer makes me give this app only two stars, and that is being generous, considering. They charge a huge amount at $10, and instead of just updating and upgrading the app to allow the user to customize fields for these releases. Well, they greedily want you to fork over another $3, on top of the $10 that you already spent on the application. Why not just be ethical and have morals, and just include the customization in the original purchase price? I am so sick of seeing daily examples on the App Store, of how in-app purchases foster nothing but corruption, greed and fetid ethics from pretty much all developers and companies who use these disgusting business tactics. Only in the digital world does this kind of operant conditioning and uncouth actions fly. It would be like buying a new car in the real world, and the dealer sells it to you without the steering wheel, but will be happy to sell it back to you for a price. Just disgusting.

It's Complex but Useful. Fairly complete but takes time to learn fluently. Custom templates are complex to create and understand how to select for use, but again, after time playing with it, you'll be trained. Limited 'Placeholders' are restricting even with 'custom' field capability in the Advanced Add-on Pack (again, that is complex to use/learn). Overall, if you spend a lot of time (hours) learning the workflow by building what you need, setting your settings, and creating your custom templates and custom fields, you'll find the software beneficial. Weighing it against Photographer's Contract Maker and/or Contract Maker Pro, I think you'll find Eary Release more stable and with current developer attention. Hopefully a major interface/workflow release will come...you really need to keep with the app to be able to REMEMBER how to use it! (PCM/CMP developer seems to have abandoned regular updating and debugging which is killing those apps.)

This WIll Be My Most Used Purchased App. I hate paperwork and I don't like carrying it around. What frosts my shorts more than anything else is capturing great shots and NOT having a model/property release in my kit. But I always have my iPhone. This is my killer iPhone App, without a doubt. I noted some bugs in this release and have pointed them out to the developers. I expect they will fix them fairly quick..? Other than that, what would be cool is to have a means (maybe on the Mac or even the iPhone itself) to edit the Release text to suit the needs of my business or even State. Maybe in future releases? At any rate, I rate this highly - right out of the gate.

Effective and Impressive. I'm using this app for my portrait work and for contract photography for a magazine. Recently I shot a Maker Fair for the magazine. The editor told me to get generic pictures (no faces) because she had forgotten release paperwork. When I explained that I could get signed releases, with a photo of each subject embedded, on my iPad - then email them to her, she hugged me. The result was a full two page spread of adorable children and families enjoying the fair. Beautiful! On top of that, everyone is impressed that we're doing the contract work in such a contemporary manner. (Little do they know that it is MUCH easier!) Seldom do we get turned down to sign. Most often we have an opportunity to pass a business card. Win-Win.

Export not working. No problem filling out the release forms, photo or signature. When I either tap send or create pdf, i get sent back to the home screen. Every time. This never happens on my Note 10+. What should I do? I’m using iPad 12.9 4th gen.

Great App For Both Photo And Video!. This is the perfect app to have available for both photo and video shoots. I own a video production company and it's just so nice to have it on my iPad and iPhone when doing a shoot. Very convenient, is very thorough, and super nice to be able to just fill it out on site and have them sign it and email it right on the spot. I recommend you bring along a stylus as people are much more apt to get a clean signature when using one and they feel more comfortable using one. It's not imperative, but it's nice to have. Now that it uses iCloud to sync, it's even better! Everything is always on both devices and all sync'd up.

good start, great idea. The idea is fantastic, the implementation is fair. With an update or two this could be a very nice app. As of now, you only have two choices for release, model or property. There is no ability to modify the wording of the releases, so if a model objects to a particular phrase, or if you prefer to have your own release tailored to your needs, you are out of luck. The first time you fill out a release, it takes quite a bit of time to fill in all the fields. This is somewhat ameliorated afterwords because the app saves the photographer's name and allows the model to be picked from a list of previously used model names. However, the shoot country and region/state do not seem to be saved. [b]What needs to be fixed immediately[/b]: After the first release is completed, the app crashes every single time after I try to enter a new model name. I then have to open up the release and find the fields which are not yet filled in. Every time I pick the picture field to complete the release, it crashes. Until this is fixed, I cannot recommend the app at all.
