Tech Failure. Features: revolving 'loading' disk and the last successful update - usually 24 hours stale. At a time when news evolves hour to hour, Politico's contributions have become de facto irrelevant. Recommendation: bookmark the web site. Your browser, unlike this app, will get you to whatever it is they're reporting - today.

Accurate Political News. Reading Politico several times daily is an essential to get an accurate assessment of what is actually happening in the Capitol. Trumps news releases are very often useless. Republicans in Washington who could correct misstatements seem to be som afraid of Trump’s tweets to contradict his lack of knowledge of science or efforts to bend facts to his personal world view. Sad. I find Politico to be accurate. Thanks!

Redesign ruins iPad UI. I’m not a big fan of the recently redesigned user interface for the iPhone, but it’s atrocious on an iPad. The home page used to have a pleasing layout, but now it’s this sterile vertical feed. While it’s tolerable on an iPhone, it’s horrendous and clunky on an iPad. Still the same great content, though, but a disappointing app experience. Please think about implementing a new UI for iPads or at least revert to the former style. I might as well just go to the website at this point.

Please please fix this app!. I love Politico and the content from the journalists is top notch and reliable. HOWEVER this app is the literal worst. It logs me out every single time I close the app it seems and will not remember my login info, so each time I go to save a story it makes me log in again. Plus it is so glitchy! There have been several times that I have been in the middle of the story and it switches back to the home screen and i can no longer find what I was reading. Please fix this!! I beg you. Also, has anyone else noticed the “ads” getting shadier and shadier? Each one is now a “corona virus cure” or a “poll” from a Trump PAC. Yikes. Politico is a reputable and important source of journalism with integrity, but for the love of Pelosi please fix the bugs.

Six star content marred by a big bug. Content is some of the very best. Great balance of views, variety of article types, good insight into the nuts and bolts while remembering the overarching stories. But the app is driving me absolutely bonkers. It will randomly quit out of an article back into the main page. Leave your phone on and set it aside for two minutes? Oops, it’s quit back to the article list main page again. Temporarily swap apps and swap back, eager to resume your article? Too bad, it’s quit back to the main page. Lock your phone while speaking to someone and reopen it? Politico is back at the main page. And the app only remembers how far down into the article you are half the time at most. PLEASE FIX

Please fix the refreshing stories function. This app is ok when it works, however it does not reload/refresh new stories easily.. I pull down on the main page and it shows as updating but then nothing happens, no new stories. I know it's not working right because the stories will be several days old (and yes, my internet connection is fine). The only way to get it to update is to try and refresh it multiple times and then kill the app's task and reopen it and have it load all over again, a fairly painful process when just looking for some quick news.

Hate the new design. I hate it. Politico is not a news feed. It is original content journalism and they have given up their editorial judgment in ordering stories. There used to be clear lead stories, highlighted like a newspaper front page. Pieces flowing from different politico sources (e.g. the magazine) were clearly and distinctly marked. Now it looks like all the other garbage out there. No sections. No differentiation. It’s a visual blah. I can’t believe you guys focus grouped this before you did it, and if you did your focus group provider ignored loyal users such as myself. This is a shockingly weak effort guys.

Frustration.... Being a foreigner, downloading Politico was useful because it gave me a sense on how US politics work. What sets it apart from the other apps was Its main selling point that its unbiased and only discusses hard core Political Topics. Not anymore, something happened to the contents. At first with news articles on events like protest rallies, appear yet noticeably other articles of the same like terrorist attacks are absent. Then the articles' tone changed from an unbiased tone to a more shrill one. I don't mind the usual liberal view, but the lean to the left found here is getting closer to the regressive kind. If I wanted a biased news source, politico wouldn't be my first choice... but now it has become one. Sad to see a once good news source turn.

Need Assessibility Text Enlargement. I love this app and especially the political reporting. My only complaint is that I can’t just open the app and read it. It would be great if there was a feature to enlarge the text on the screen. Or at least, enable zoom with the Apple iOS.

Rarely works correctly!. This app is simply the worst of all the news outlets. I have this image of the creators just laughing at us as we try to read their content! Politico is an important media site and their content is terrific. The app simply won’t let you read what’s there. My favorite is when the app suddenly pulls up a full page ad from which there’s two alternatives - click on it and be taken to safari or the App Store, or simply exit the app. No chance you’re going to actually finish the article or continue using the app for that session at least. Mind boggling.

Great journalism, garbage app. This would have been a one star review if it hadn’t been for the great content. The app, however, is all but useless and I always have to resort to the web browser version instead. Tell me if I’m doing something wrong, but all I get is a fairly bland looking list of days old news stories. Swiping down to refresh does nothing. When other news outlets offer analysis on the Trump document case, the app has been showing the same irrelevant piece about Ralph Nader for two days now. Am I doing something wrong?

Nice App, Great for Quick Fix of Politics. Easy way to periodically check in on the Roller Derby that is DC politics. Not having the refresh issues others are reporting. Was running it today on home network and Sprint LTE and content rolling in regularly and without delay. And Politico is content-rich at a time when many of us are (perhaps excessively) refreshing our news feeds to watch the latest episode of The Madness of King Donald.

Love Politico. Why does it not return the love?. I enjoy the reporting. ‘Nuff said. Lately the app has been semi-crashing, suddenly dumping me back to the list of articles from a partially-read article. Hope the app geniuses can allow me to read to the end of one without frustration soon. Thanks, all y’all!

Avoid until fixed. Something has gone wrong with Politico and this app. Or they’re asleep at the switch because for days now the opening top story at the top of the current edition is now more than three days stale. In other words they do not bother to keep the site current which is peculiar and embarrassing for well known current news site in the digital age. If the site has a place to call the above to its attention, I cannot find it. Bottom line, don’t waste your time until they fix it.

Love the content, hate the app!. Politico has landed some big scoops and has interesting takes on major stories. BUT . . . I’m about to give up on the iPad app. It refuses to update unless I reboot. If I leave the iPad on for 48 hours, the stories will be 48 hours old when I come back, no matter how many times I exit and return to the app. Auto-update is enabled in settings and there does not seem to be any way to manually force an update. This does not happen on my iPhone, just the iPad. This bug has remained through the last couple of app updates, and needs to be fixed ASAP!

I have used this app for years. I have used this app for years. I’ve been reading politico every day on my phone since at least 2014. It is by far my most used app. The new update is not good. Much less functionality - too crowded with ads. Videos play when you don’t want them to play and then you can exit out of them. This app was at its best when it was pure print articles with little else.

My fav news outlet online.. And it’s free which many are not. This is my first “go to” news app as the journalism is so well done and I feel like it is as objective in its reporting for being a progressive news outlet. There are some smart cookies who work for this news outlet and I like reading about all the view points as well as the factual news. I am a child of post WWII which means I have been thru the Nixon impeachment, the anti war movement thru the 70’s and became an independent leaning toward the Democratic Party. I read many news apps every morning yet this by far my favorite.

Politico April 2020 update. I have always liked this app. With the newest update however, once you have chosen an article to read, you can’t get back to the article menu. Instead you have to keep scrolling thru one article to the next, to rotate thru them all to find the ones you want. To me this is a step down from the prior edition’s layout, where you could scroll down the articles based on their topics, and not have cycle thru every single one to the topics you actually wanted to read. Perhaps the developer should do another update, to bring back the functionality of the prior iteration’s ability to allow the reader to see all the articles’ headlines at once, and for a reader to return to the main page with the article headlines once they have finished an article.

Please update. Some of the best content out there, but please update the app. This app is better than the Economist’s but far behind NYT, WaPo, and Bloomberg, and even the scattered WSJ app has better responsiveness. I’m very surprised when top outlets like the Economist and Politico underinvest in their apps, as if their astute readers will overlook it. That’s an easy way to end up a failed publisher. If I don’t like the app I’ll use it less and your advertisers will get fewer impressions to me, and you’ll mess up the financial equation for your journalists. Keep it simple if you need to, but make the app work better and faster. Unless you think core D.C. readers don’t care, but I bet they do.

Can't close full-screen ads at all. Lately every time I click a story a full-screen ad pops up before I can even begin reading the story. Then when I try to click the 'x' button to close them, it just doesn't work. The only way to get rid of them is by clicking the ad and getting redirected to the ads site and going back to the politico app after. Too much work and not very functional at all. Better to just access the politico site through Safari...

Content good, readability bad. Excellent content on the whole, but good luck reading it if your vision is less than superhero strength. Tiny font size (on iPad) with no way of changing it. Photo captions are so small they require a magnifying glass. This used to be an adjustable setting, but has been removed for unknown reasons. Consequently politico has dropped from one of my go-to news sources to an also ran. If they make it more accessible I'll be back.

Horrid App. The content is worthwhile, but it's like the creators of this app want to prevent you from reading it. The "navigation" is like blindly jumping through hyperspace. You have no idea where you might end up. I try swiping left and right but, instead of smoothly moving between stories, it's all twitchy and spastic. I can see the edge of a story I want to get to, but I can't make it land on that story. Just moving my finger slightly to the left and right, which should just move me between two stories, flashes glimpses of 4 or 5 different articles. Other news apps give the impression that there's some stationary content that their app provides a window into. You have a sense how the stories are laid out and where you are in that context. Not so with the Politico app. Instead it's chaos. Blank pages, stories with a picture but no content, videos with no play button. It's incredibly frustrating. I am on an iPad Air 2 with iOS 10.3.2.

It is a republican propaganda app. I thought it was a genuine news source at first. They even occasionally speak from both sides of a mouth, but don’t get fooled. It is yet another right wing propaganda tool. I was still using it long after I figured it out until they started to chase me with ads to support “president Trump and his crusade against the fake news”. Yep, that was one bs too much for me. I prefer actual facts over made up lies that change each day, depending what happened in 45’s hollow-head at around 3am the night before. Pathetic at its lowest.

Russian Bots Writing Reviews?. Forget the negative reviews, as of Feb 16, 2018, this is a rock-solid app that is easy to navigate (as long as you don’t start clicking before the first page is loaded). Articles may seem shrill to alt-white readers who prefer their fake world, but we ARE under constant attack and Politico is one source that can be trusted to fact-check before publishing. Thanks to Politico we now know that Russia has been waging “electronic warfare” (Russian words) against democracies for years.

Needs Refreshing. While the content remains pertinent to the day’s issues, the app does not function well. One must open the app twice (!) in order for the home page to refresh and be populated with current/new articles. The app ALWAYS opens up to the last/previous view of homepage articles, not taking into account / automatically populating new news/articles. This, the user has to close out of the app (AGAIN!) and open it back up (AGAIN!) in order to receive the most recent content. Very bulky and unnecessary. What gives?!?

Quality Metrics and Analysis!. Politico has definitely transformed the data platform for applying real-time data in a visionary user experience! I’m a huge nerd when it comes down to technical precision in economics and factual deliverance. Just from a UX/UI perspective alone is enough successful acknowledgment, no stone was left unturned. The website fluidity and navigational cues are superb and exciting....absolutely love it! The oral content hits the not only the major headliner topics, but the “between the lines” rhetoric. Superior web application designed to perfection comes without verbal rendering on it’s own! If you possess a fixation for economic performance and political authenticity, the recommendation is a given win and A minimum “5-Star” backing is just the start of surpassing the bar!! It’s all in the details...keep up the great work Politico!!!!!♥️🇺🇸💡⚖️📊📈

Great app! Don’t listen to bogus bot reviews. Politico is a top-tier contender in terms of political news outlets, and it would be absurd in today’s climate not to spend enough resources to create a top-tier app. Clean interface, easy navigation. Truly can’t come up with anything that I’d consider to be even a minor bug. Great app—nice work!

Love the content the app needs work. The writers need to rise up against the developer. They are detracting from your great content. I like to move thru the page methodically from top to bottom, and then the app randomly refreshes and I have to find my place again. And for whatever reason the Top News is the only place that I can't turn this problem off. Suggestion, allow me to turn this off and add a new feature that will highlight what's new after I refresh. Then to have provided something worthwhile.

Bad. It's intriguing because this app is about as functional as the government, which is what the app reports on. I no longer get push notifications. Not because I have them turned off- the app just doesn't send them. I've deleted and redownloaded to see if that helps. Then of course the obvious is still true that the app won't have the breaking story from the notification. We shall see… Update: still do not get push notifications even though they are on in settings.

The new app upgrade stinks. I am an avid, religious reader of POLITICO, have been for years. Though I don’t like the new app upgrade, it stinks because I find it HARDER TO NAVIGATE and upgrading to the new app made me lose ALL THE ARTICLES I had Saved to read. My poor review of the app certainly doesn’t mean I will stop reading POLITICO, I will I just don’t like the new app design.

Horrific Navigation. This app used to be great. I relied on it for a long time. Then came this new version with no way to get back to the main story listings (the “home page”). If you click on a story you want to read that’s the 10th one down the list, you can’t go back to the list! You have to go back through all 9 stories that come before it. There’s no home button. PLEASE add a home button to the story pages.

Trust. I don’t trust anyone on tv, only NPR on radio and I always trust Politico because l’ve read it for more than a year and reality matches politicos reporting Recently other media have been quoting Politico to indicate the veracity of what the speaker is about to say , I.e., “According to Politco . . .” It is also easy reading however complicated. Thanks!

Good content, poor execution. I’ve been using the Politico app for years. The good: the content is very good. It’s comparable to what they have in their website and their breaking news is ahead of most other sites. The bad: the app simply doesn’t work when you’re offline. Try accessing it when you’re in the subway and no luck! And this even after you’ve been reading a few minutes before. At this stage it’s inexcusable that they don’t cache the content and let you access what you’ve already downloaded. Even worse, when you’re listening to music via Bluetooth and you launch the Politico app, it pauses your music! Huh??? Politico, please fix these egregious bugs and I’ll come back and give a good review.

love politico but app rates a C-. I agree with most other complaints I see in reviews. so many people in your target audience read the news on their phones. and yet your app is substandard. who’s managing this fiasco?? My main complaint: i find great content and can’t finish an article without getting kicked back to the home page every two minutes. honestly. its that frequent. and i your long form articles are great! the top reason i read politico. Get a clue! please, please pleeeeeease …Spend the time & resources to fix these issues. End the torture!

TERRIBLE NEW LAYOUT!. Ugh! The new layout is so unfriendly and harsh looking. It looks like an app I would have used on an old iPod Touch. After years of using the app to read the great content from Politico I deleted this ugly thing and started reading Politico from my browser.

App great, massive Facebook ads very annoying. I check Politico multiple times per day and really like the articles and coverage of many topics. The Opinion pieces are good and could see more if them. More articles on the grassroots organizing coming out of social protest such as “Run for something “ the centrist Democratic races in Congress and state offices are very interesting and important. Please cut off Facebook ads after a million impressions as I am way over the top on these after saying “No” a million times. . The new version is worse!! It is impossible to navigate to an article list because there is no back button/arrow. I have to close the app and start over with the article list beginning.

Analyst. I love Political and the quality of news it provides. I miss sitting in Starbucks reading the paper edition. However, since the paper copies were frequently taken by other patrons or just available near my job, I got used to the electronic version. I appreciate appreciate the convenience.

Always going to Politico. When I want the most news available and I want choices, I go to Politico. I also like their format - scrolling and going forward or back are the options that I look for in their service. Thank you, Cathy

My review. I like your news coverage but hate that you use google ads in between your articles. I hate this company and how they monetize human futures it’s despicable and you should look for another way to make money or I won’t use your app any longer!

Font is WAY TOO SMALL. Content is excellent. I’ve been reading Politico every day online for months now, so finally downloaded the app for my phone. But the font is so tiny I can barely read anything. It’s just too frustrating and hurts my eyes. There’s no way to increase the font size, so I’ll probably delete the app and go back to reading it online only.

Buggy. It’s the most efficient way to get Politico articles which is good. But it’s not the most stable app, current version will randomly exit articles you’re reading and go back to the article feed. But it’s free and the articles aren’t behind a paywall, so you wouldn’t expect it to be the most polished app. In the end it does it’s job of getting you the articles.

Information that matters. Politico provides information that matters. I value the comprehensive State by State, federal, and local perspective. We need Politico in order to achieve better and profound understanding of what happen today and what potentially may happen tomorrow. Thank you for the amazing reporting

Deserving of ZERO Stars. This is THE most vexing, utterly GD WORTHLESS zap and site on the entire Internet. It is locked on Thursday's edition. No matter how many uninstalls and reinstalls, nothing: it is also balky, slow and poorly performing OUT WITH POLITICO! May it fail like so many other same owned ventures as this one. The WORST. AVOID THIS APP! History stopped for POLITICO on December 12, 2019. No new editions since. Too bad. They're useless.

Broken again. Politico is a great news outlet, but their app has been a failure for quite a while. Half the time it works, and half the time it will not load new articles for a week+. Additionally, their media implementation for things like the Global Politico articles is poor and hijacks the audio from whatever you've playing in the background. And if you try to resume your music, for instance, it retakes the audio as soon as you reopen the article. This is just poor coding. It's a shame, really, because I've been a huge supporter of Politico for years. But their app has continued to significantly decline over the last year. And if I can't read articles on the subway because the app is so poor, the NYT will continue to have my subscription.

They’ve destroyed a good app with the new format. A am a regular reader but the new format is horrid. All you great is a long list of stories, no easy way to navigate to the magazine, finding the playbook, etc. I’m back to web based reading and deleting the app.

Politico provides an excellent service for Americans. Politico provides an excellent service for Americans and others interested in knowing the truth about statements made in the news. They one major drawback is that there are so many falsehoods spread by politicians, their supporters hoping to influence decision makers and voters as well as special interests hoping to gain financially and/or in other ways. It would require a huge expansion of fact checkers to ensure that American readers and viewers had an accurate understanding of current events.

Politico review. This place always has great stories and articles. The Alamo story today brought me new insight. I knew a lot about it, with me a being a history/ political science major/history teacher, I was amazed by some new historical insights. Wowzer! Thanks.

The content is world class, the app is the buggiest news app I use. I read politico every day because I love the content… but the bugs persist and multiply. Stories disappear or are replaced by the next article every time I switch to another app for a minute… making keeping my place difficult to impossible. The app crashes. Images suddenly freeze and block the text. The app crashes every time I open a hyperlink. Its a total mess and has been for years. I’d love to see these things and more fixed.

Glitchy glitchy glitchy. I’ve been reading Politico for years and love the content and analysis, but this app is in sore need of an update. It’s always been clunky in that you never know if it’s actually downloaded all the daily content you want before going offline, leading to frustration. But over the past couple of months, it’s simply been crashing very often, to the point that it sometimes won’t function at all. In the years I’ve been using this app, the NYTimes, WaPo, and other news apps have been updated multiple times, but Politico seems to have built this thing around 2012 and never touched it again. It’s too bad, because their great reporting and writing deserves better.

Great content terrible app. The app uses a hard to read font and it’s not possible to increase the font size. Definitely not designed for those of us who are old and have bad eyesight.

Politico. 5 Stars! It works great and is a great app for up to date information on American Politics.

Jerky scrolling. My old app stopped updating so I deleted it and got the latest version. It’s slower and the scrolling is jerky. There’s less to see on the screen at one glance, which makes it slower because you’re forced to scroll (jerkily) just to see more than a couple of headlines. Not a fan👎

Non-scalable font set-up. The consequent micrographic display detracts from good content. Was version 6.0 road-tested? Cheers

Won't Download. I keep getting a "This software is not compatible with your device" message. Initially it would not update the app. So I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but it won't download. I am running latest iOS - 9.2.1. I love Politico for keeping me up to date with the ins and outs of US politics. It was a great app. Please fix.

Full screen Ads like annoying game ads. Deleted the app right away because comparing to other news apps like Bloomberg this is like amateur hour ad experience

Educated opinion for This Canadian. A number of contributors, each with their own style, provide frequent well crafted updates on the US political scene. Breakdown into categories e.g. Congress, White House, helps clarify the confused picture... sometimes.

Forget the app. Given up in the app. Each redo just makes it worse. Access website only.

Content won't update. Content hasn't been able to update since February 19

Technical Issue. You cannot adjust the font size

Not an improvement over prior version- too long to update content. I don't see any improvement in this version - as a matter of fact it is worse: it seems to take forever to load updated content, and sometimes it doesn't do it at all.

New version has problems. Text too small, images too big, either unresponsive or very slow (on iPhone 6). Love the content but using this app is now painful.

New format not easy. Find it hard to determine which articles I want to read as the headlines don’t convey enough information. why not show first two lines of each article.

Click bait notifications. Received a notification today with the text: “Hey girl! We’ve got a FREE story about multilevel marketers giving CASH to their favourite Arizona senator. Would you read it?” This is a new low, and this app has been removed from my device.

Content doesn't update. Content frozen with material from Jan 18 2017. Have tried reinstalling app and still frozen. Have to use website alone which is a pain.

Long time user removing app. I have been using the old politico app for quite some time. I added the new app because the old app kept bringing up a nag notice telling me to upgrade. The new app is of no value as the content is 4 to 5 days old. The old app still works, with new content, but is too frustrating because of all the nagging. The Result is I am going to remove both apps from my iPad.

Good journalism, bad app. Needs improvement

Trump is fantastic!. Trump is definitely keeping America great. Stop with the negativity. Be respectful. He is doing a fantastic job as president.

Phone version great but iPad not so much. The recent iPad version upgrade does not honour font size.

Notification doesn’t link to article. Sometimes the notification doesn’t take you to the article you are being notified about.

Prompts to update. The App Store is prompting me to update, but I get an error message saying 'This update is not compatible with your iPad' when I try. Why is it prompting me to update if there is no update that is compatible? iPad3 iOS 9.2

Doesn't work. Fails to load any content so nothing to read.

If I could I give it a 0 star. It is not easy to read the main points, and it does not update well. I hated it, my luck I still have the old version in my tablet and went back to it

Retired financial consultant.. Excellent publication. Insightful reporting on so many crucial issues with attention to factual details. I appreciate the writing style and format of the those issues as they are clear and concise. I feel well informed every day.

App needs to be updated per Apple. I am getting daily messages that the latest version of the app needs to be updated. I suspect it is due to compliance with privacy. A different message appears if an app is out of date. The option is to keep a version of the app that is unusable or delete. I’ll likely delete. I enjoy news from Politico and hope this is resolved.

Great News Outlet. I was looking for an alternative to major news outlet apps and started using Politico. I find it’s news relevant, fact-based and balanced. The app has greatly improved in 2020 and is now one of my favorites

Scrolling problem. Scrolling is not working properly, it’s going fast and not sync with gestures. I am using iPhone 12 with latest Update. I admire your journalism, great articles.

Please bring back traditional pagination. I like Politico’s content, but use this app while running on a treadmill and the change to website-like scrolling makes it much more difficult to use. Perhaps that is a preferable approach to navigation for most users, but couldn’t you keep the option for a “swipe to turn pages” approach?

Ads have stopped it from working. Articles continually reload or just don’t open.

Fantastic News App!. Politico is a reputable news source with up to date and insightful information. A must have for all interested in our country.

Pop up ads when clicking on a story. Extremely annoying recent addition of these ad pop ups. I find myself going less frequently to this app as a result

MUST HAVE. I have subscriptions to the NYT, WaPo and the WSJ. However, this is easily my most used App on account of it's succinct presentation. Very, very good and I highly recommend it. It's also 100% free so you have quite literally nothing to lose.

What did they do to this app?. Used to be a great app - great content great layout. A couple weeks ago they updated the app and completely ruined the layout. This has to be the worst of any of the major news apps. Just who the heck thought this redesign was a good idea? Really not worth the time and frustration of scrolling though such a sophomoric layout. Used to be one of the first apps I went to for news and information - now, I just don’t bother.

Not for old people. I can’t adjust the font. This is probably because I’m an old person, but I can’t figure out how to make the print large enough to read on the app. I usually just give up and go to the website or don’t bother and read the New York Times instead

New format is awful.. Content is a 5. New format is a 1. Why did you mess with a format that worked just to get bigger headlines and photos. Old format I could quickly navigate to the content I was looking for. New format any site organization is minimal. Definitely spend less time reading now.

Graphics and design. The app needs to improve interactive features, accessibility, organization, and distribution of information. It lacks assortment and aesthetic.

Sketchy Site. Like the informed articles covering world news but content either crashes after a few seconds or when I got to follow up to read article in detail I get a blank page. Not my internet connection since other news apps don’t do this.

Get out and go for it — still time to vote !! Take on race are “exit pole issues”. Over 22 million votes have been counted so far — It seems that if you want your 401k to soar , votes are going to trump . Those that feel Climate Change should be a focus are breaking for Biden.

App Is Badly Designed. App is really badly designed and really really buggy. You are more likely to encounter a blank screen then Politico content. App is “designed” to update every time it opens, regardless of whether you have connectivity or not. If you don’t have connectivity, it just stays blank with no access to any content! For anyone with spotty connectivity during the day, whether b/c you live in a rural area, or commute on a subway, or work in a skyscraper, this is a showstopper, and more than likely, your Politico “app” is blank at the time you most want to use it. App also glitches on certain articles or sections and navigation is bad to the point of comedy. If you have lots of time, patience, and an ironclad wifi signal then you are the intended audience for this “app.”

Politico. I believe Politico really tries to be neutral in its reporting. Sometimes this is annoying for me-I am a Democrat- but I remind myself that the reason I like it is because it is not tied to either Party. Good job!

Long time user, still frustrated. You would think with the amount of views we get the ads on your site, the creators of the app could manage to make one that updates itself when I pull down to update. Instead I have to go load the Congress page, attempt to update that, fail, go back to Top News, and pray it updates. If that doesn't work? Well close the app and repeat, or go to another news app

Change the format back. Please change the format back to what is was before. It was more appealing and I went to the site more

New app. I’ve been reading Politico content regularly for a fairly long time and liked it. But developers fixate on changing apps and too often ruin them. And so it was with this app. The font size is just too small now. I can’t seem to find a way to enlarge it in settings. If you have to struggle to read articles, then what’s the point. So I’m reading fewer Politico articles now. I’ll probably stop using the app altogether. The look and feel of the old app was perfect. Now it stinks.

Unusable, in my case. Good app, good content, but i don't use it at all. This is because it is one of very few apps that ignores the locked orientation of my screen. I use my iPad with the start button at the top, for various reasons, and lock it in that orientation. This app doesn't obey that directive and flips upside down. This is so annoying that i close the app whenever i accidentally open it.

High Impact, Insightful. I still read NYT, WaPo, Bloomberg and many other publications, but often find that Politico brings exclusive data and unique insights. Valuable for planning next steps in business as well as politics.

Mr.. Not sure what these other reviewers are referring too. Perhaps a fix has been implemented. The loading and updating was functional and the news is there for the taking.

Disappointing app. Why change what was working... I used to love reading this app. The headlines were clear and i knew what i would be opening up. Now i can barely last 5 min with it. And the font is so small its excruciating. The layout is so bland... your previous app was far better. Please keep it simple. And make the font bigger at last so i dont have to squint even WITH reading glasses.

Enjoy this news feed. Politico is the first news feed I check every time the iPad is opened throughout my day.

Straightforward !. Keep up the Professionalism! As a CPA, I want the TRUTH !! Unfortunately, these days that’s usually looked at as leaning Republican because of the “all out” efforts to banish Trump. Just tell me how this Socialist thing is doing in its efforts ! If you guys like Socialism, that’s ok, but I don’t want to see it in your reporting....are we straight ??!!!

Politico review. I have enjoyed starting my daily morning news review with Politico. Although the articles are not as in depth reviews,like the Post and the Times,I still find them very interesting.

Accurate Reporting. I go to Politico when I need an accurate account of of specific issues involving both political parties. The stories are written based on factual content, without the spin of Fox or MSNBC. Keep up the outstanding coverage.

Up to Date Info. Whenever I want to know more about political items in the news, I take a look at Politico to get the details. They deliver.

Navigation on iPhone destroyed. Reading Political content on an iPhone is no longer intuitive or possible beyond one article. Once one article is selected, iPhone navigation back to the top is not possible. The only way back to the top is to close the app and then reopen the app. This used to work just fine until Politico changed the interface. What a PITA!

Disappointed. I wanted to give Politico a chance since they were brave enough to have Ben Shapiro guest write. I was cautiously optimistic that media had learned it’s lesson on bias reporting and was going to try and “unite” the USA . I was looking for a small grain of investigative reporting with multiple dissenting points of view. Sadly I was hugely disappointed after sampling articles. One in particular was especially nasty “The ringmaster of his own...” I will be deleting app. RIP journalism. Sincerely, a deplorable/ 74+ million Proud Trump voter

Great content, but app doesn't updat. This app does not update. You have to close it out completely and hope it updates on reloading. Seems like a simple thing to fix, but no one is apparently working on improving this app.

They seem to be good with facts and information that helps you understand events.. I enjoy the information that informs me about current events.

App is stuck. Politico has done some great reporting in the last week, but you wouldn’t know that based on the app. It last updated news stories on Thursday, December 12. I tried deleting and reinstalling, but the news is still stuck on the same stories. Finally visited the website today to find newer news. Defeats the purpose of having an app. I hope this will be fixed.

Love the reporting, work on the app. Seems a redesign around categories would help a lot. And lately the app crashes more often when reading an article which is frustrating.

Can no longer read the text. Please, if you have a way for me to increase the size of the text, I cannot find it. And if there is no way, then please add it. My poor aging eyes miss being able to read your articles. Also tried to send feedback in the app, but after writing the text, the Send button did nothing. I’m on an iPad mini4.

Cannot set up app on my iPhone. I cannot set up the app because it doesn't recognize my WiFi connection, clearly shown as connected on the phone's WiFi settings, even if I set it next to the router.

Great, liberal news resource. Politico is a respected source for news from a liberal point of view. The app is good but the font used for the body of articles is serif and tightly spaced. Not readable by modern standards. Other than that, an excellent way to follow Politico.

Lean GOP 50%and Dems 50%. I like Politico but I still think you can more than what you’re currently doing . Why is your online front in smaller font instead of like the Washington Post or the NYT? You can expand and reduced their online edition, but not political . Why?

A Great Morning Read!. I really enjoy Politico in the morning after reading my local newspaper. Its coverage is concise and to the point. I appreciate its take on the events of the day; consistently well crafted.

Excellent articles. The articles are well written and informative. However, Politico is usually not as current as other news providers.

Another Left Leaning Site. I used it because it seemed more impartial than most sites. I suppose it is but only slightly. It’s just a fact of life that most news organizations are on the left. The writings solid but if you’re looking for impartial reporting forget it

News stories don’t update!. For a long time now, every time I turn on the Politico app on my phone, it displays old news stories (day before). Occasionally it helps if I turn the app off, then on again (annoying). Today, nothing works - I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Pulling down the screen to refresh doesn’t help. This is a disservice to the otherwise excellent content!

new layout mixed bag. The new layout provides a fast sight of article listing but is missing the time stamps that were part of the old layout. Articles still 5/stars

Bring back the old app. This thing is terrible. I look for the author and/or a short recap of the story. Now gone. Horrid, horrid, horrid. Will probably delete. Used to be my go-to. Newbie. Just downloaded the app and my first impression is this could be my go to news source. Time will tell but I would not bet against it.
