Awesome teaching tool. I love how it incorporates adding, writing, and subtracting. I also love how they have to write it out before moving on to the next question and how they have to write it correctly! It'll give them good handwriting :) My son also enjoys it very much.

Amazing App!. Well worth the price. My son likes to play this, even after two months. We have the kindergarten, first grade & second grade TeachMe apps for my boys & they are all amazing. Great app but a few things I would like to see. As an OT, the part of this app that drew my attention was the writing recognition. I would like to see some customization so we can add words (spelling lists) and then I would like to easily access that list and use the writing recognition so they can focus on their letter legibility while also practicing their words.

Awesome!. My 2nd grade son spends too much time playing games on the iPad so I thought maybe the iPad could be turned into an educational tool. He loves this app and now spends his time earning coins to purchase items for the virtual aquarium. Buy it!

Full of excellent content!. So pleased this morning to find that TeachMe has another app in the series! My daughter was just getting proficient with the 1st grade app and we were needing a challenge. Excellent content, one of the best educational apps available. A BARGAIN!

No sound!!!. I love these, but the 2nd grade has no sound!!!!

Not what I expected. It switches from spelling & math every 3 questions & there's no way to choose a subject. It also has a very hard time recognizing my sons handwriting.

Great as an additional tool. This is great for my daughter and she loves it. Great concept in collecting coins for kids to use within the app. I use it in additional to traditional learning methods. Comes in very handy to break away from the old learning sheets.

Best Educational App. My 2nd Grader has used all the Teach Me Apps and loved them all. He's been looking forward to release of Teach Me 2nd Grade for months and it has lived up to his high expectations. Excellent combination of education and fun rewards. My son will choose to do the Teach Me Apps over Apps that are purely for entertainment. Bring on Teach Me 3rd Grade!

We love it!. I have two very bright little girls, 6 & 4. Both enjoy this series of apps (we have K, 1st & 2nd grades). But tonight I discovered where I can review their answers, and I am bowled over. The review options are so thorough, everything has been thought of. I rarely spend money on apps, but I would happily pay twice as much for these.

By far the best educational app I have purchased!. I highly recommend this app. I just wish there was more to it. It would be great to have sentence structure, grammar and some handwriting instruction. My son loves "playing" this. He uses the coins that he earns to purchase stickers that he uses to make pictures of sharks and whales sword fighting ; )

Love it. This is my favorite educational ap. We have 3 girls who have used Teach Me toddler through 2nd grade. They actually enjoy playing the game and play without being asked. I like that the questions go from math to spelling to reading, and offer variety.

Fun, but.... We’ve done the 1st and 2nd grade Teach Me apps and we like them a lot, but the spelling progression tracking isn’t weighted the same as the others. Seems odd to be advancing through stars on everything else, and spelling is stuck at 1 star.

Best learning app!!!. My kids love this app, even my 4th grader. I have to pull them away from playing it because they love the rewards and incentives. You can change the settings so you can choose what they work on. I will not have to buy a workbook for the summer, because I will be using this app for learning.

Best Money spent on a Kids App. This entire series has been great for my daughter she will now be starting 3rd grade and I can't believe how much this helps her. Wish I would have bought the bundle.

A must own educational apps!!. We are using the whole TeachMe series in an iPad pilot at our school. We were all so excited to hear about the release of TeachMe 2nd grade and as expected, we were not disappointed. These apps are amazing and I have yet to find a teacher or parent who sees this app and disagrees. Keep up the great work!!!

Teach Me 2nd Grade. I bought this for our 2nd grade granddaughter...she was able to play independently and enjoyed gathering the coins to spend in the various stores thus encouraging her to return to school often! Very well worth the cost.

My daughter loves it!. My daughter loves the teach me apps. The positive reinforcement and earning coins keeps her motivated to keep trying. She likes to save up her "coins" to buy things in the "store". The app is not flashy so there aren't a lot of distractions. It stars of very simply and slowly gets a little more challenging as the child works through the questions. Covers math, sight words and spelling.

OK, Love it, ready for 3rd grade now!. My granddaughter has loved this series since Teach Me Kindergarden and was disappointed recently to find I had taken it off my phone because she I assumed she had outgrown it. I put it back on the phone & she found Teach Me 2nd grade was available. Of course we had to have it & she chooses it over about 30 other game apps! Love that she writes the answer on the screen too! We would love to see a 3rd grade one now! She is headed for 3rd grad in in the fall. Thanks for a great app that holds her attention & helps her excel in things she is learning in school!

Makes math FUN for kids!. The Teachme app. series are the very best learning apps. especially for the advanced or gifted child. If your child learns faster than their teacher can teach in class, than these apps will definitely help keep your child's interest. You can start at any level that's suitable for your child. They offer toddler thru 3rd grade. My 5 year old son loves, loves,loves these apps!! He plays them like an older kid would play playstation or wii. But he's "learning" as he plays! He wins "gold coins" in math and spelling with correct answers and is excited to buy things w/ the coins! In math, he's adding and subtracting with ease!!! They learn to purchase fun, educational items with the coins in all the different stores. He can even take real pictures with the camera on my iphone and go into the photo shop creating fun pics. He is now on the 2nd grade app. and has won over 700 coins! Sometimes I have to MAKE him put this game away. He loves math, and actually thinks it is soooo much fun! How long will he stay in this frame of mind?? LOL! TeachMe app. Please don't stop at 3rd grade.... I look forward to seeing more, let's keep this "learning game" momentum going!! Thanks TeachMe apps. For making learning so fun for my 5 year old.

Same repeating loop of questions bug. Same "girl" and "79+25" and "32-28" questions keep repeating; I even went in and advanced my child manually to the next level AND disabled the questions, but they keep coming back. I have the other apps in this series and they've been terrific. I'm sure this one will be awesome once they fix this bug, but until then I can only give it one star.

Great app. My daughter loves this app. She just turned 7 and oftentimes she would rather play than do something educational but she selects this app to play over other games. She's learning without even knowing it because she is having so much fun. The only suggestion I have is offering a sentence when the question asks to write a specific word. I think this app is great though.

Best educational app we own. I had to beg my kids to stop using these apps today. They're the perfect combination of math and reading with "prizes" they can purchase in the store using coins they earn for correct answers. My first grader is doing the second grade level and my preschooler is doing kindergarten. We got them the iPad pens so they could practice penmanship as well. I HIGHLY recommend them for 4-8 year olds!

Great app - need a custom teach town store. A customizable teach town store would be a great addition, where we can upload pictures of rewards that they can buy. Consuming the items would be important (once they've been given it in real life), as well as being able to have prices greater than 10 coins. Having visual indicators in the store which show how close they are to being able to buy the item would be ideal as at the earlier grades they have a hard time understanding how much more they have to go in order to buy something with a large price on it. Another great addition would be more voice responses, especially when children get answers wrong. Something to discourage guessing / giving up. I think an activity where they can study a problem without being tested would be good. For example, in phonics, click on every letter and it says the sound and they get some coins to spend. Anyways, you really have a beginning to something incredible here. I think you'll find as you do the complete series up to grade 5 or so, and then really go back and flush it out, you have the potential for revolutionizing education.

A life saver. My son was having trouble in school, and this app was the only thing that helped him. His teacher was so amazed at his improvement. We had tried so many things and nothing reached him. Thank u so much. I told everyone about your program.

Wonderful learning app that the kids will love!. My daughter loves this app. She plays and plays for the sheer fun of it!! I would say the math, phonics, writing and spelling lessons are terrific. There is positive reinforcement with the verbal responses, sights and sounds (coins and stores-like a virtual arcade). However, it might be a little deficient in the reading and reading comprehension dept. But, we loved it so much, we just bought the "Teach Me Kindergarten" app for our soon-to-be Kindergartner. I wish they had this app for the upper grades.

Great learning tool. My 2nd grader loves this app. He has progressed quickly through the levels (we can't wait for higher grade level apps to be developed). Even though the content is somewhat easy for him, it still serves as a great review tool and he enjoys the rewards he can buy with the coins he has earned. The aquarium is a big hit!

Pretty good at first. I love the idea of this app, but after playing it only for a week or so my daughter is over it because it keeps asking her the same 12 math, spelling, or whatever questions over and over after she answered them correctly the 1st time... It's like it's stuck and can't move her on to the next level.

Great app!. My son (who typically doesn't like any educational game I choose for him) just went to bed and told me that he wants me to wake him up early so that he can "play" more games and get more tokens. I am excited that we finally found an educational app that motivates him!

Excellent teaching with accountability. While other programs will allow your child to write their letters any way, this one has the ability to teach proper letter formation. It includes math, spelling, and writing. The game is very customizable allowing you to choose spelling only, or math only, etc. If your child is not writing well and you do not wish to address that, you can turn on a number pad for the math problems. We own the entire package. This has been a wonderful addition to my children's learning.

Educational and fun!. My kids have tried more than a few educational games, and many of them fall flat, they teach, but not always fun enough to keep elementary aged children engaged and playing. This app is great. Even though my 4th grader more than knows the material she still really enjoys playing it and my second grader likes it as well. You can haves four different profiles to see each child's progression on a report type card. They kids answered questions, and after a few right answers they earn coins which they can spend in various shops in the game. This worth the price for fun and learning. I also loves that it has the kids practice handwriting. This is great for my ingoing 2nd grader, it does not always recognize his answers, so he has to write it again, neater to be recognized, love it!

Over all good learning app. Our biggest frustration with this app is that it rarely excepts the kids letters, even when written correctly. I have pictures showing what the kids have written and what actually shows up. Both of girls hate this app because of this issue and as a parent, I have to sit right with them both and make sure it is picking up what is being written. Could really use an update on the hand written portions and include a section for penmanship (how to write so the app will recognize it). My kids and most of the world, have to know how to use a keypad and number pad anyways. For spelling, this app has taken forever to advance my girls and they are very bored with the few word choices given over months at a time with no advancement. Also instead of changing the voice for (find the word), keep it the same and a little louder. It’s very hard to understand. Over all the girls are learning math despite the writing difficulties. Teach town needs a save button. My daughter has used her coins to purchase some items but then they just disappeared and she didn’t get her coins back. They have both stayed away from teach town since. Needs an update seriously, last one was 2 years ago. And the developer rarely responds to people’s comments. Are you there

Teach me. My daughter has enjoyed Teach me kindergarten and first grade. Because she has different capabilities she cannot write the answers for grade 2. I would love for her to be able to either, choose parts parts of the program that she is able to play. Or, use a multiple choice option so that she could still try the skills that are on her level.

LOVE. My students LOVE this app. They get to play it after earning so many stickers or smilies in class. I have a student with multiple behavior problems and since I have purchased this, he has gone 3 weeks without an incident so he can play it twice a day. Great learning tool and perfect. It has more math work than anything else but that is OK.

Fantastic Learning App. I’ve been a teacher for 15 years & have 3 kids. I have used this app for all three, and I think it is wonderful! It is the best learning app I have seen.

Suggestion. I love this app for my second grader. I would love it even more if the spelling subject or each subject could be selected to play separately. My second grader is almost at level 5 on math but only on level 1 on spelling. I wish there was a way to choose spelling on its own to keep practicing and advancing. Otherwise it's a great app!

To bad don't make teach me fourth and my little pony version. It is really to bad they don't make teach me fourth and up! My kids love it but they don't make teach me fourth so my fourth grader has to do teach me third which is to easy for her. Also my children think it would be really cool if they made a my little pony.

Great app for kids! They love to learn with it and I don't feel guilty about them playing on iPad. I have bought the kindergarten, first grade and second grade version of this app. That is how much I love it!! My seven-year-old loves it and each version has new features... in the second grade version, there is a variety of math sections...hard problems and easy "fast math" questions...so she practices different skills. She does spelling and sight words, too...She earns coins for answering correctly and loves to spend them in their store.... Before I let her do other games I always say " do 10 minutes" on the learning app and 10 minutes always turns into 20 or more....this is the only learning app we use regularly. Totally worth the $$$$.

Teach me 2nd grade. We have teach me kindergarten and 1st grade also. My daughter likes the apps. I have only one complaint. It used to give you choices instead of asking you to write the answers, she is a special needs child, that cannot write. Now she can't use the apps. It would be wonderful if there was an option to enable a feature like multiple choice, for kids that need to learn, but can not write.

Needs context clues for homophones. And there's too many help prompts. The student wants time to think about the answer, but gets frustrated by the mouse telling him or her to "tap the eraser" over and over. It's also very frustrating to miss a problem because the app didn't specify whether the word is "write" or "right". Keep fine tuning, devs, it's almost there!

Great, but.... App doesn't recognize the numbers and letters very well when a left handed child is writing their answers. It's very frustrating! Hopefully, they will fix this problem. Other than that one problem, we love it!

This is a great app. This app is great. My child is struggling in 2nd grade and at first I mad him get all the stars in teachme: first grade, and he has since been using this app. He is now reading on grade level and ahead in math. I hope they add teachme 4th grade and up soon.

Excellent Educational App (Want more from it). I give you 5 stars because this app does something that no other educational app can deliver; keep the kid engaged in a way that I don't have to beg my kids :)). This app not only teaching them how to do math, spelling, word identification, speed test etc, but also giving them some real life experience with shopping, saving (overall money management). Oh of course, I have to mention, the entertainment. Having said that, I would like to see some more improvement. 1) You need to allow more than 3 item in the tank. I have observed the eagerness to buy more fish dies down when they realizes there are only 3 item they can add. 2) I would like to see the 'feeding' option to transform into bit intelligent function … allow the fish to get hungry when they are not feeding and make the food bit more expansive (so they solve more problems to buy more food). Last but not least, I would also like to see a zoo or Farm (where they can add farm animal, buy feed, buy treats …etc). I would be more than happy to pay higher dollar for an app like that. All other higher priced App failed over and over for my kids. I have a Kindergartener and a 3rd grader, who are enjoying this game. (Speaking of which, I would like to see 3rd grader version, or add addition/multiplication, word problems to the 2nd graders app). Great work on what you have done so far!!

Great but has room for improvement. Great app, great exercises for spelling, word recognition and math. However, the 2nd grade version seems to be bad at recognizing numeric answers. The app had a very difficult time recognizing simple numbers like 2 and 4 when written both by a kid and an adult. We used TeachMe 1st grade and didn’t have this problem at all. More feedback. How can so many math problems be number minus or plus zero. That’s hardly 2nd grade math.

1234 pickle. I am 8 1/2 years old. Best money spent for a learning app. But you have to have really good penmanship. It is a very fun way to learn. It has a school and an art shop and other stores. You get points for correct answers. Points allow you to get coins that allow you to shop in the stores. You learn reading, math, and spelling:)

The best yet!. Kiddos love this one as well. We now have all the teach me apps. My kiddos are 3, 3 and 2. I bought this app for later use but they are already using it. I love it! It is great. Love the new school and stores as well. The kids love spending their coins. I am just waiting on the third grade app.

Great, motivating app for kids!. My son's recognition of sight words and his writing ability has improved after using this app just a few times. We love it! He is really motivated by the stickers and rewards he gets after completing a set of answers, and looks forward to moving through all the different levels. We like how he thinks he's playing a video game but he's actually working on writing, math and reading. It's been perfect for car rides or while waiting in lines. I especially love the writing recognition feature, which is really helpful and fun for a resistant writer. We know our son is going to be asking us for Teach Me Grade 3 next. Me. Brilliant app. It is so good for children with Cerebral Palsy. These children who can't write use it so easily. Can I suggest that the keyboard be changed to qwerty as by grade 2 these children are very familiar with this keyboard. Maybe it could be used as an option. Keep moving on with the grades. It is one of the best apps available.

Great fun. My daughter is very keen to do the Maths work to earn the rewards. A good variety of rewards to choose from. She does get confused with the American accent on a few of the words and needs the word repeated. Love the fact that the kids write/draw the answers with their fingers. Overall great app

Such a great tool. I can't commend this app highly enough! My son didn't want to stop trying to earn coins for his fish tank, he was so excited. Amazing!. Best series of education apps out there. The fact that you can write your answers rather than choose multiple choice answers puts it ahead of any other like it. The rewards are really well thought out. Only thing on my wish list is to have ability to sync across devices (? through icloud or sign-in account).

Great app. My daughter just finished grade 1 in school, she reached level 5 in all of the math stuff in a couple of weeks. She is taking French in school, so she isn't as fast to finish the English spelling and words. She is loving the game. I would love to see a teach me grade 3.

Difficult learner loves this. My son runs home from school and wants to play this app! This is a little boy who entered grade two at a very low reading level! He WANTS to play this! I love it and am blown away with what he is doing on here. I also purchased the toddler version for the little brother. He loves that as well. My only complaint is that sometimes doesn't register his writing and can't process his answer. Minor problem. I really hope there is a grade three vs! Happy Mom!

Makes practice enjoyable. The mix of reading, spelling, and timed vs untimed math helped my math anxious but reading strong child feel success. She loves the coin incentives and will persevere through the math to earn more.

Best children's Teaching App!. This App is creative and keeps the children wanting to achieve virtual stickers. They love finger writing the numbers on the screen. This is a wonderful series and I encourage anyone with young children to start at the Kindergarten level and work up. I have just purchased TeachMe: Grade 3 to play with my family. Purchasing this App is the best investment I have ever made.

Great App. I downloaded the 1st grade app for my daugher. She loved it!! Now, going into 2nd grade, I thought I'd try the 2nd grade app. She said "This is better than 1st grade." Both the 1st grade and 2nd grade apps are 5 star.

Great. This app has helped my child get ahead of the curve. I have paired it with the "teachme: math facts" app. Also, YOU CAN CHANGE ANSWER INPUT FROM WRITING TO TYPING; it is hidden in the settings section.

Very very very very fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I know I'm too old for it (10 year old) but I love the shape store! I know a trick 1. Go to 'players' and click your thingy-ma-bob 2. Click what says 'correct to earn reward' 3. Chang it to 9 4. At the last ?, do steps 1&2 again 5. Chang into 1 6. BINGO 8-9 coins like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do Not Update. When I click on the Update icon, it does not update. Instead, my Pinterest app goes dark and the word "cleaning" appears under it. Let me know when the update actually works and I will be happy to give this app a great review.

Teachme 2nd grade. All the 1 star reviews are right. My daughter told me this ask the same questions over and over and over. Fix the problem please it would be a great app. All the 5 stars please. did you use the app?

not very advanced. My 5-year old has been playing with this app at school. It is a very basic level that still includes kindergarten concepts like "sight words." So far, I'm not very impressed but maybe it gets more advanced.

Great app.. I have all of the teach me apps and they're worth it, I have a few suggestions for the developer though! I would like to see sentences for spelling words! More often than not it will say spell the word "no" and my kids spell it and get it wrong because they were suppose to spell "know" however there isn't any kind of image or sentence to direct them or even me! There is a list of words that do this, also the writing software is good but it's very hard to write the lower case "f" I find myself having to just tell my kids to use a Capitol F because it's even hard for me to show theme them because it works sometimes and doesn't other! A larger vocabulary for speeding and sight words would be great also! The last thing would be the games, they are great biggest hit is the fish tank, yet they can't put things where they want and are only allowed 2 plants and 1 center piece if there was a way to do multiples and in any place this would be nice! Perhaps when they buy it, it could stay bought also? If they buy it than buy something else it goes into the lower bar than if something else is bought its gone! And the fish you can buy kindergarten has only a few not even the puffer fish which is a great hit! Could it be possible to have all them in all levels? Overall this app is awesome it includes math spelling and reading words! It's well made and worth the money multiply accounts makes it great for class or personal and for the price it's not bad! Tracking is awesome, just the info inside could be better, more words and more activity freedom would help a lot! Thanks

Really great series of apps 1.1.1 makes the fix. I've bought this whole series for my kids and they love the apps. Very engaging and instructive. Highly recommended.

Same questions over and over. I wish I had read reviews before my purchase....we already have TeachMe Kindergarten and 1st grade and are happy with those. This version (1.1) seems to be stuck in a loop asking the same questions over and over (79+25, spell "girl" , 32-28). Don't purchase this version!!!!!!!!

Awesome app. The TeachMe apps are awesome. My kids really enjoy playing them.

TeachMe are great Apps. I own the Kindergarten, First Grade and now the 2nd Grade TeachMe App and enjoy them very much. There breadth of knowledge do not cover the fullest extent of knowledge for that grade level but they do a good start.

We like it!. We like this, only drawback is it is more like review work from first grade, but my son likes it & any practice he's doing on his own is great.

Great app!. Very useful learning tools for children. Well designed and well functioning app. The bundle is a blessing since I have children in K and 2nd grade. My toddler is not left out.

We love all of the Teach Me Apps. Great educational games for kids to play along with a guardian or by themselves. Cute rewards for the kids to earn. Well worth it!

Bug. Same problem already mentioned. Inexcusable. And unfortunately my son really likes it. I will be so upset if this bug is not fixed. FIX IT! PLEASE! If you fix it, I will change to five stars.

Perfect. I have this for my students and my daughter. All of them love it and it's a fantastic, intuitive, challenging, and compelling way to learn. Please make 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade versions!

Teach me 2nd grade. I have used teach me series with my grand son thru kindergarten to ,2 nd grade and they are excellent

Great app. Awesome!!! My son has lousy hand writing and he has to write "nice" to get it correct . They love the coins it's an incentive to keep playing and learning.

Fantastic app. Love this app (and the others teach me K and 1st grade). My kids absolutely love it too. Just saw this stops at 3rd grade. Hope they make more.

A Must Buy. My 1st grade son and I love this app! Hopefully, Teachme 3rd Grade will be available in early 2013 and it will include grammar

Take away the photo booth. I loved this game for the kids until I realized it had access to my photos. I would love this feature either removed, or given the ability to restrict access to my photos.
