All Macros not on the meal screen?. If you are tracking your calories and don’t really care how many macros except carbs you are eating at each meal, this is a great app. The ease of entering food is second to none. I wish My Macros + was this easy, it’s not. But here’s why I can’t use this app. I need to see the macros for each meal as I’m putting it together. This app only shows you carbs. Like it says, “Breakfast totals: 300 cals 43 carbs. What about protein and fats for breakfast? On the main screen are total macros. But I need to see all three macros by meal. The other reason i won’t use this app is you can’t manually add meals. I need a pre-workout, breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner and post dinner. But to put all of my extra meals in this app they will all be dumped into snacks. Hardly. I don’t ever snack I have meals. So to sum it up, if this app allowed you to enter meal names manually and put ALL the macros on the meal screen, it would be the best app on the market. I say this after using My Fitness Pal premium, Lose It Premium, and My Macros + Premium. Seriously. Make those two changes and no one can hold a candle to your app.

Awesome app. Buy it.. Easy to use. I highly recommend this app. It can be used for simply following carbs or the latest fad diet, or for tracking specific nutrients. I check my numbers 24/7, and adjust for what I'm lacking (fiber, protein, calcium, etc.) or back off of what I have too much of (calories, salt, fat). It's a real eye opener when I get such accurate data. I can monitor the days when I have enough in my diet and supplement only when I need it. Its brilliant that the nutrition info is laid out in the exact format as all our food packaging. Two improvements: 1. It should follow the 1 to 100 NuVal (Nutritional Value) system of rating foods (rather than their confusing -5 to +5). 2. It should take multiple users. I would love to track my children's food to get accurate info about the nutrients they are getting. Update: when I use this app I loose weight. When I don't I gain. I joined weight watchers for an experiment, but used this app instead because I hated theirs so much.

Used to be better. This is a good calorie/activity tracking app which has helped me lose weight by being aware of what I am eating... unfortunately the UI has gotten worse lately. Entering food consumed used to be quick, however now raise frustration as the units selection (weight, oz, servings) on the meals screen disappears on its own after half a second requiring you to use another deeper screen if you really want to enter your food correctly. This is a bug in recent versions as the units selection used to stay up until you picked your choice. Support is not responsive to feedback about the bug, disappointing when I've been a paid subscriber to this application for several years. Tracking food has to be easy and I think this app has taken a step in the wrong direction, suspecting it may be time to look at other options.

Fabulous Tool !!!. It just keeps getting better! This app has been a huge asset I would be lost without it !! I have an ongoing diet issue, and have lost a lot of weight. I am sure that my success was in a huge way because of this app. I have depended on it to keep me on track, and it really does ! I still need to concentrate on maintenance, so will continue the constant use of this app to stay on track. I live an extremely busy life, with an intense professional career. It is so easy to use, the food database is enormous, and is particularly intuitive and easy to use on the fly, so I can rely on it to show me exactly where I stand every day as far as what I have eaten, what else I need to eat, and when I can't eat any more. I could not have kept track without this product. The author keep making updates to make it even better and to give it new features. I have tried a variety of weight management tools. This one is the hands' down winner. The food database is enormous and it is easy to add custom items. To have all the bells and whistles adds some cost, but for those who want a cutting edge tool, more than worth it. I use it constantly - it gives me constant support for what I can or can't eat. Without the constant support/ reinforcement, there are many days I would have exceeded the limits I have set, because it is so easy to miscalculate.

It works!. I’ve lost over 20 pounds, there were a lot of factors, but I don’t think I could have done it without this app. I always thought that the calorie intake/weight loss mathematics must be too complicated of a system to work as simply as it did. Turns out that was me wanting to stay in denial about needing less calories than I wanted. I eat whatever I want, I just count it. I definitely make wiser choices in general, and have had a needed attitude adjustment about portion size. I feel and look so much better! I chose to pick the calorie needs if I was my ideal weight and was sedentary, about 1700/day. That was sustainable long enough to see awesome results and provided the practice of long term habits I will keep. Now when I ‘relax‘ and don’t count, I still come pretty close to less than 2000 calories most days. I can’t imagine not having this app!!

Excellent app!. This program does it all - keeps track easily of every calorie I eat with all the nutritional information at my fingertips. I love that I can enter any amount of food and this app figures out all the calories, sodium, protein, etc., instantly, no matter how odd the measurement. It is worth every penny of the cost of the Pro version. I have lost 30 pounds over the last two years using this app and have improved my level of health with being able to plan the low sodium, low calorie, gluten free, low purine diet I need. Hoorays for this app! P.S. Now a year later I have lost another ten pounds. I honestly log every food I eat even when I lose my focus and binge. Studying the record of those binges helps me figure out ways to avoid them. Two more years on My Net Diary and I have now lost 50 pounds! Hooray!

Better than myfitnesspal. Update: my original review had only one complaint and now it has been addressed. I am beyond happy with this feature and has been making a world of difference for my hubby and me. I cannot wait to see what other amazing features are coming. I really love this app. My favorite feature is being able to see my week’s summary including a pdf of all my logged foods, macro and micro nutrients. My only request is that please have a way to share my recipes with a friend. My husband likes to log his food as well but I do all the cooking. I wish there was a way that if I input all of the ingredients on my app that I could share that with him so I don’t have to do it all over again on his phone. I know that he can do quick calories but that won’t track his macros.

Easy to use!. I am halfway through a 15 pound weight loss that will bring me back into the “normal” weight category. I honestly would not have been able to do it without this app. The functionality is fantastic. In earlier iterations of the app, the recipe – creating ability was a bit harder to use, but they’ve streamlined it. You can now edit the recipe anytime you bring it back up, so if you’re a home cook like me, you can vary your recipe each time you make it without worrying about having to fudge the calorie content of each portion. I am also excited that they are working on minimizing the frequency with which packaged foods pop up at the top, making basic foods more accessible to enter. It just keeps getting better and better with time. 10 stars if I had my way! Thank you for such a great app!

helpful. I’ve been using this app for about 4-5 years. They have continually updated it and brought fresh helpful ways to customize the input and tracking of food, water, activity, nutrients, measurements, etc. I personally like that there are various pre-synced food, and that you can build foods that you eat all the time into menus, for easy input. The connection to iPhone health app and wrist worn activity trackers is also helpful. But the customization features are the best. If you don’t care about how many grams of fat you eat no biggie, but if you have a liver issue and need to track that you can. Same with diet that cycle on n off of calories or people like me who have wicked about of allergies so my foods I can eat are limited, but I can double check that I’m getting proper nutrition because it tracks vitamins and minerals “behind the scenes”. If you wanna drop 5 pounds just set a goal and it’ll help you see the calorie or activity changes needed. I don’t use this app every day, I use it intermittently to check on my diet or motivate a change. I found this app long after I lost all the weight gained from having babies. But it helps in so many ways. I am a health, nutrition and fitness teacher, and after much research I found this app to be the most flexible and useful. After about 2 years I finally bought the premium upgrade, totally worth it. Do that early. I never use the “on line” version that syncs w this app. I find the iPhone app to be enough for me.

Update for my review. Update: I fully purchased the pro app version of this food diary, a one time purchase and I have been fine with it. The reason my rating dropped they keep pushing the premium upgrade which I don’t need, and certain basic vitamins like for example B7 (biotin) cannot be tracked with my version unless I upgrade to the premium subscription!! I have used now this app for 4 years!! I love this food diary!! I am maintaining my weight using this diary. It is very easy to enter the food (oz, cups, etc...). The program remembers your favorite food practically reads your mind 😂!! I myself like to weigh my food so it makes it so easy! It has so many bells and whistles like various charts to track weight, nutrition, etc.. It also gives you daily and weekly progress reports etc.. I started with the free version and then I liked it so much I paid a few dollars to have the pro! Well worth every penny! I do not have the monthly subscription to the advanced version . I feel I don’t need it. I have used several food diary apps before this one is hands down the best by far!! I very highly recommend!!

Easiest tracker out there, accurate, works!. Been using this for a while, if I write everything down and follow my diet plan I can drop weight consistently, and keep it off without crash dieting and rebound binging. I lost exactly as much weight as this said I would during one month. I love the recipe function! I can put in all the ingredients and the serving size and it will tell me the nutrition and calories. Homemade bread, bean soups, pancakes, lasagna. This is a lifesaver for made from scratch items. Stores the recipe too! I can go back and tweak it or just use it as a recipe card to make it again. This is my go to app for loosing baby weight. I log 500 cal/ day (as exercise) for breast feeding and don't have to worry if I'm over or under eating. Baby grows well while I loose consistently. I love how this keeps track of my dietary fiber and that I can just scan a barcode and it finds the food. Really easy to find my favorite foods once I've logged it once. I upgraded to max and now have my Fitbit linked to my account. Makes you realize how few calories you burn on a lazy day. Keeps me motivated to exercise more and I can eat a bit extra if I was more active that day. Love that I get a more accurate picture of my net calories.

Great app!!. I worked in a surgical intensive care unit where we also take care of bariatric patients ( gastric bypass or sleeve , "stomach stapling"). It's sad to see these people go through major, potentially dangerous surgery to accomplish what can be done just using the app to track intake. There is no magic! Burn more than you consume ...even the surgery won't work ( and usually doesn't ) if you don't stick to that simple rule. I introduced a friend to the app, and she was shocked to realize how many calories she was actually taking in over what she should be. She quickly lost 8 lbs and has kept it off. Anytime I gain a few pounds, like vacation or if I’ve been too busy to work out, I hop right back on the app and take them off. And even when I’m not logging day to day, I use it to check calorie content before I choose what I eat!

App gets better and better!. I’ve been using this wonderful app since 2011! It was great to begin with if only a little clunky in places. Well, they have steadily improved it with each update! Everything runs smooth and there’s greater and greater functionality every time. Not only do the actual tracking functions work very well and intuitively, the wealth of health and fitness information provided is really impressive and useful. It feels very well thought out and based on nothing more than sound science and proven methods and tactics to either lose, gain or maintain a healthy body composition. Which reminds me of another great thing about this app: it is so flexible in terms of what purposes it serves to each individual. You can use it strictly to track your nutrition, your weight, fitness, special dietary needs, your body composition and circumference measurements, or any combination of these. Or, you can use the incredibly detailed information pages to learn, if you are just starting your nutrition and/or fitness journey. There’s definitely something for everyone here. Get the app, already!

good potential, clumsy frustrating search. i wanted a food tracking program that could specifically track macros so this program seemed ideal. It has great potential, however i find the search for foods extremely frustrating. There are multiple entries for the same food most of which are incomplete in nutritional data to some degree. Bar codes are linked to the wrong foods but when i attempt to report them to be fixed, i am unable to submit them. If i wish to add a food that has complete nutritional info that i have entered, it is denied stating that the food exists already and i just have to search for it (i did and it does but it is missing everything except for carbs/protein/calories—and none of the macros i needed to keep track of). overall, attractive interface that never crashes, useful widget, clunky search, numerous incomplete entries.

Great App for tracking your daily food intake.. I really enjoy using MyNetDiary. It allows one to easily track foods they are eating and measures what was eaten in coordination with the goal the user sets. The app is full of features which provide detailed nutrition data, including carb intake and daily details of nutrients by food, meal and totals of them for each day. The app also displays data from other health apps for things such as the numbers of steps taken, weight and other data. The app allows users to enter other data and has an exceptional scanner that provides easy entry of foods to be eaten in addition to manually enter them. You can move or copy foods from one day to another, mark favorites and provides suggestions of possible foods as the user enters the foods they are eating. The app monitors a users’ sodium intake and provides other informative charts, the ability to compile the data in a report for the user and others and much more. There is access to a library of articles on weight planning, calories and nutrients. This is an excellent, versatile and very user friendly way to keep track of ones intake of food and drink.

Best App Ever!. I am 60 years old and been struggling for so long trying to find an app that can help and guide me along my Keto weight loss journey. I have chosen the Keto lifestyle because I feel so much better and have less brainfog and hunger but I never could loose any weight on it. That was until I downloaded this app. I have lost 10 lbs the first week using this and following the guidlines. I can’t tell you how happy I am. I was a day away from making an appointment with a local bariatric surgeon. I already had a name, address and phone number and had done all the research. I have previously had so many surgeries I didn’t want to have another. I believe I am on the right track now, I see hope. I can’t thank the folks at MyNetDiary enough for all your hard work into this app. I paid for the pro version the day I downloaded this because I knew what I saw in this I saw in no other. Thank you so much.

Best Nutrition Tracking App. I had 2 goals: to lose weight and to make sure as a vegan that I was getting the nutrients I need in the process. This app tracks calories, macronutrients, and you can set it to track other things such as fiber, sugar, vitamins, etc. It is easy to use, and it has just about every food brand and restaurant in its database already so there’s very little you have to input. You can scan the barcode of packaged food or just search. It is completely customizable, keeps track of your goals, progress, readjusts your recommended calories as needed. It syncs with my Apple Watch and other fitness trackers to keep track of steps and exercise, and my watch reminds me to log my meals. I recommend paying for the pro version, as the upgrades are very helpful but try the free one first to get a feel for it. It also suggests articles to read as you learn about nutrition, that explain the numbers it gives you. I had no idea a “diet” app could be this good! 5 enthusiastic stars!

Death by a thousand cuts. I purchase this app and the diabetes version in 2012 & 2013. I bought them for $3.99 and this one $9.99. At the time that was an expensive app. But when they went to the subscription model, they removed fractures I was already using in my paid for app and made them subscription only. I can no longer import recipes, which is crazy. They want me to give them $9 a month to use a feature I already paid for! It’s truly underhanded. I’ve emailed several times with no reply. But I’ve seen some really rude replies to others that complained of the same thing. “You only paid this much for it and used it for 10 years. Don’t you think you’ve gotten your moneys worth from it?” Well, rude customer service, that’s not for you to say as it was a lifetime purchase, not a until we think you’ve used it enough purchase. There are other cheaper apps out there. I’d keep looking if I were shopping these apps now. Disreputable company tactics.

Simply the best. If you want to be successful in tracking your calories, your tracking tool has to be easy. No other app makes it as easy and flexible to enter your data as MyNetDiary. I’ve tried a slew of other apps and can honestly say nothing comes close to MyNetDiary. It let’s you enter grams, slices, servings whatever is easiest for you. With this update it has gotten even more flexible. Not only is it easy to use but the presentation of the day’s intake is clear and easy to digest (haha). The number of nutrients it tracks and the integration with the exercise data is second to none. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time on the other calorie trackers. Just use MyNetDiary. It’s the best and worth every penny.

Too much functions requires upgrade to The premium version. Nice app at first. But then totally went capitalism. Asking you to upgrade to the premium version for some basic features like integration with other Apps( I want this app to “take” to other apps like Record from UA to track my workout calories and take my weight info from Withings App, but you can’t do that without upgrading to the premium version. Because too much restrictions have applied to this PAID Pro version of this app unless u upgrade to the premium version, but I don’t need any of the premium version features other than the function of integration with other apps, therefore I’ve decided to finally give up on this App and from now on gonna use MyFitnessPal instead, although that app has lock some features for the premium version but at least that app doesn’t charge money for app integration with that apps. Man, I used to hated MyFitnessPal and now I’m forced to use it. Well. Bye bye MyNetDiary, we had some good days back then.

Pros and cons but overall highly recommend. The Pros - 1) Clean, easy to use interface, 2) accurate Info, 3) developer is responsive 4) updates are consistent. CONS- 1) I don’t mind paying something for all the Pros I listed, but the annual subscription at full price is expensive. 2) sales/deals never offered even to long term users. I don’t mind paying full price every so often but knowing they will never offer a sale or a BOGO at some point is a letdown 3) Referral option seems to have disappeared. 4) Poor Social component. The current community page is clumsy & confusing. Love what Fitbit and MFP are doing. Hopefully there will be improvement here. Overall this is really a great app and while I do have suggestions for improvement I do recommend!

Used to be four stars. I'm back after a few years. Back then I gave the app four stars, now it's two. They seem to have cleaned up some of the database issues, and I really like the prevalence of the barcode scan. But the "analytics" are really, really hard to make sense of. Honestly, I still can't and I don't trust the reports from one day to the next. Bottom line for most people on a diet: my maintenance calories are X to drop this many pounds in the many days I need to restrict my calories by Y. My daily target for calories is X-Y=Z. Any fewer calories below Z represent the possibility of moving up the shift hack to maintenance calories. All that gives a projected "path" of weight loss, so you can weigh in and match true weight loss against projected. Easy. Except the app keeps changing my targets. My Z was originally in the high 1.6k calories. Now it's suddenly around 1.5k...and, despite being habitually 200/+ calories *under* 1.6k, the app is telling me I'm habitually 250 over budget. And it keeps plotting my weigh-ins *above* the trend line, even though I know I'm (barely) under my projected weight. Maybe the app is too clever for me now and it's working as intended. But it's feeling useless to me.

adjust “steps”??. really LOVE the app... using this to keep track of calories AND workouts, my husband lost 60lbs (sixty!) in 8 months, while i lost 20. as a person who exercises EVERY day (seriously, we walk 5.5 miles at least 5 days a week, i jog, do yoga, and we use a stationary bike when weather is bad) i’m obsessive about keeping track of calories burned. i also like to keep track of steps... alas, while it *was* possible to adjust steps when doing an activity not measured via my apple watch, that option is no longer available. D’OH!! (and, yes, i signed up for the membership... which suddenly feels like $59 down the sweaty drain) any chance you can fix this little issue?? it would be greatly appreciated by me, i’m guessing others might be happier, too! :)

Love this app!. I'm a long time user (since Jun '10) and this app is helpful to keep me focused on my goal. Update: 1 yr + and I'm down 80+ pounds and 110+ pounds from my lifetime high! Praise God, what a Blessing‼️🖖🏼 My Net Diary has been a big part of my progress and continues to be my main tool for monitoring food intake, budgeting calories, and tracking fat, water, and exercise. I'm very close to my goal to weigh <200 pounds, which I haven't seen since HS!! My wife thinks I look too skinny but, when you've been overweight all your life, too skinny sounds silly like 'too much 💰'. Now that I'm close to achieving my goal and maintenance is on the horizon, I plan to upgrade My Net Diary from Pro to Maximum. I plan to monitor new aspects, like; BP, cholesterol, nutrients, and others key areas that come with the upgrade. For the record... I'm 55, 6'3" and this post is Sept '17.

Best nutrition app available. I’ve been using My Net Diary for about 5 years to track nutrients and calories. I tried MyFitnessPal and several other apps before I found this one, but found the ads on most annoying and the apps mainly focusing on weight loss. My Net Dairy is by far the most comprehensive nutrient tracker if you want to see more than carb, protein, and fat breakdown. It lets me customize the dashboard for any nutrients I want (I like to track my potassium and Vitamin K intake on the dashboard since those seem to be good indicators of how many vegetables and greens I eat) and also lets me easily see all the detail I need. It also lets me track water intake and syncs with my Fitbit. I can add customized foods and recipes as needed, copy recent meals and pick from frequent foods. With each update, this app just keeps getting better!

And...I’m back in the game 🥳. I’m in love with this app. I just tried MyFitnessPal for about 6 days and I was so bored with it. My Fitbit versa 2 app and iOS health app on my iPhone 11 did not sync at all. I was very frustrated and sad that I lost 6 days of less than desirable tracking. Not to mention that MyFitnessPal seems expensive for what little it offers in my opinion. That said...this app is beautifully done and all my corresponding apps sync up immediately. I’m in love 🥰 so easy to use and so informative about where you land on your daily target 🎯 you are really going to lose weight with this app at your side. I also want to add that it is visually appealing and overflowing with quality :) I also use BitGym with my Nordictrack treadmill and it recognizes my activity from that app through iOS health app. Impressive :)

Best thing ever. This app has been the best helper for me with my weight loss. I’ve done weight watchers and Atkins and south beach; none of them have worked for long. But this app teaches me how to eat, when you enter a food/meal it will tell you how much of your daily needs for each nutrient have been met so you know if you have had too many carbs and not enough protein. I also love that you can customize what you see on the home screen and that it has a widget to enter things on the fly. It calculates BMI and notes on your weight loss chart when you’ve reached certain milestones in your weight loss. I also love that when you gain weight back it doesn’t say or mark anything as negative. I lost 50 lbs using this app, then I was hospitalized and on a lot of steroids and ended up gaining back 20; it gave me tips and ideas to get back on track the entire time. It’s just an all around magnificent weight loss app!

Snarky customer service. This is the response I received to a complaint, which was addressed to my wife’s name (she does not have this shoddy app), even though the account is mine, was paid for in my name, and came to my personal email: "Hello, We are sorry about the error in processing the image. Perhaps it was indeed unreadable? We need all nutrients readable to make sure we enter the correct information. Thank you for using our app since 2018. However, we are not sure why you consider it a rip-off. Did you not get enough value out of the $3.99 spent on the app that you have used for over five years? If not, some other diet app may indeed serve your needs better." You are absolutely correct, I should use another app and you should learn something about customer service. By the way, the image was high definition and readable. The nutrients I asked you to update were only partial within the app and I wanted (needed) the sugars updated in an item. You just want to rip people off with annual subscriptions. TERRIBLE customer service!!!

Easy to use and effective. I've used this food diary on and off for years. It is easy to use and gets easier as time goes on. The bar scanner is super convenient and I have only discovered two or three food items the scanner did not recognize. You pair this app with an inexpensive digital food scale and you will be able to count calories like a boss! Follow a good eating plan and measure everything and you will get results. I would advise that you set yourself up as a sedentary user no matter what level of activity you do. I am up and moving all the time and was racing bicycles a few years ago. The activity setting will give you a basic metabolic level which is the calorie count you need just to maintain your present weight. The sedentary category will give you the lowest "upper" calorie restriction. That's where you want to start and then limit calories below that. It will work! Last April I was at 184. Now it's September and I am at 165! This app has been a tremendous teacher and watchdog for me. It reminds me to be careful about what I shove in my mouth and shows me the cost of the mindless grazing I used to do. We live in amazing times and this app, while not perfect, has enriched my life and helped me healthy and happy. Get this. Don't cheat! Weigh everything and be patient. Move as much as you can. Don't forget that simple walking is a great thing. Good luck!

Great Tracking and Beautiful. I have used this app off and on since 2010. Overall I have found it to be a fantastic experience. As a healthcare provider I appreciate that it doesn’t have crowd sourced junk data in the app. The food library is sufficiently large although I do occasionally find a food that isn’t listed. Tracking is pretty easy with the barcode scanner, search by text, etc. I like being able to create a recipe but this feature isn't as easy as some other apps I have used (sure would like to see ability to copy paste a whole list of ingredients into the search as I frequently modify web recipes to make them healthier). Overall this app is beautiful to look at, sufficiently easy to track foods and offers a lot of options and great info from dietitians that other apps do not. Get it! You won’t be sorry.

Wonderful app!. Overall, this is definitely a 5-star app. The usability and polish of this app is great. They have it well laid out and I really like how your main “home screen” in the app is highly customizable to whatever things you prefer to track. The app also allows you store recipes in the app for easier tracking when you eat similar things regularly. One thing that could make this app over the top for paid pro clients could be to allow you to click on which “recipes” or foods you’d like to add for the week and then have it tally it all and create you a grocery list. This would then be an all-encompassing app that really gets buy-in and frequent use from its users, while also creating additional benefits of paying for the upgraded version. (Would also set you even further apart from apps like MyFitness Pal). Definitely recommend.

A great app. It's part of my life now.. Many people struggle with staying healthy and this app goes a long way to help you visualize and keep track of what you are eating and how much you are exercising. It has a large library of foods on file and allows you to scan barcodes for popular items and add ones that don't exist in the database. It integrates with fitness devices and Apple Watch which is great for calorie tracking. The watch app is a bit limited but is great for adding items you've eaten in the past. Or just entering straight calories. Since I've started using this to track I've been exercising for 377 days straight and have lost over 65lbs. I've never felt better and I owe a lot to this app. Get it. Stick with it. Fight to be healthy. You won't regret it.

Great app!. I’ve had diabetes for over 10 years; this app makes it very easy to see the carb count in a meal, and how much of a “carb allowance” you have left in a day (in addition to fat and other things). The tips and tricks are also very helpful, as are the motivational articles. Being able to link the app with my fitness tracker is also very helpful. If you want to, it’ll even help you track your blood sugar. The one feature I’d love to see? Being able to import and edit recipes from websites. I’ve found many low-carb recipes online that I’d love to have in my arsenal - but I have to enter them manually. Right now I do that because my health is important to me ... but I could see a person being turned off this app because they can’t do that. This is why I rated it four stars. Overall the money spent on the premium version has been worth it. It’s helped me make better food choices, and see exactly what I did incorrectly and what choices I could make in the future to avoid mistakes.

Was 5 stars. I hate leaving negative reviews, everyone always has something to complain about..but...I’ve used my net diary for several years now and have convinced several other people to use it over other apps (my fitness pal for example). The layout and details it gives along with the barcode scanner and food database are excellent. I liked it enough to purchase the paid version. They have started making the move to a subscription model...I understand the why(app improvements, overhead costs ect) and don’t begrudge them the need to make their business profitable but with the most recent patch they took away a feature I had access to and used before(if my memory is correct it was part of what I paid for the ability to use years ago) Specifically the ability to see fats carbs protein broken down by meal, on the main page without having to go into each individual item. I’m sure their response will be that was a “max” (or whatever they are calling it now) feature we had allowed you to use but Having paid for the pro version years ago I don’t believe they should take away access to features I previously had...especially when the cost to them was $0. It’s not like they came out with a new feature that cost them money to develop it has existed for years and they are essentially just moving it behind a (new) paywall.

Great app! Could use a few tweaks for keto.. I’ve been on the Keto Diet for nearly 4+ months and have tried several low carb, keto specific apps as well as MFP. The UI of MyNetDiary takes the cake. This app makes it incredibly easy to log food, copy from a previous day’s meal (which I do for leftovers at least three days a week), and remembers my frequent portions of a food with one-tap selection. Using Trackers I can log ketone readings, and everything is one place. There are a few features in the other apps that, if added, would make this one perfect for keto dieters. The option to select macro percentages calculated on the dashboard with Net Carbs vs Total Carbs, and being able to see that same macro view at the individual meal level. I’ve grown accustomed to seeing it on a wheel, and like that view, but even just having F/P/NC percentages as I build and plan my meals in advance is incredibly helpful.

Great App!. My wife an I started using this app during Lent to help lose some weight. I've lost 16lbs my wife the same. I actually lost 21 but got an infected gall bladder and had to have it removed. So with emergency surgery and recovery of 6-8 weeks I gained back to only 10lbs. lost. But once I recovered, I started losing again and both my wife and I are on track to lose the weight we wanted and keep it off. In my case I'm going to drop 50lbs by the end of this year and 50 more next year. My wife is trying to thin down by 35lbs this year and the same the next. This app is helping us do this! Little by little, calories in, calories out together we work, play, spoil the grandkids, go to church and everything else while we watch how much we eat. We even bought a food scale to help in the process. Thanks to this app we enjoy counting calories and watching the weight go away!! We recommend it to all the people who say, "you've lost weight" "How?"

Helpful...BUT. I am using this app a lot to track calories and exercise. However, I just realized that even with PAYING for the app, I cannot customize my fat, protein and carbs for the day. What the heck?! That should not be a premium feature. I can get free apps that I can customize my macros on, I certainly shouldn't have to go between two apps to accomplish this. I think a lot of people are like myself and rarely buy apps. I did purchase this one and this one aspect alone kind of makes it a bust. On the pro side I do think it's a very helpful app and I've enjoyed using the interface. It's very easy to figure out. I like the graphs and reports. It's really just that one feature that isn't included that is really annoying because I'm working with a certified personal trainer and would like to use what she's given me as far as nutrition goals.

Extremely helpful. I have been using this app since 2013, for two diets, and it helped me lose 34 lbs. It is extremely useful. It has a surprisingly large library of supermarket products that can be scanned. There is a good amount of restaurant data too, and plenty of contributed data to give a ballpark for food that is not in the database. The search for food could use improvement because the order of words will matter - search for chicken souvlaki by plaka is not going to return the same result as plaka chicken souvlaki (it ain't google). I miss having a couple of features like unit conversion (kg-lb) and totals of daily nutrients (amount of daily carbs, for example). Also be aware that when switching between the free and the paid app the data does not get transferred, so it will have to be entered again. It would also be great to have a few extra reports like correlation between calories consumed and weight loss. That said, I recommend the app as a great way to lose or maintain weight and spot problem foods that are stalling weight loss. Also on those discouraging days it is great to look at the graphs and see how far I have come, and project future weight to a target date.

Awesome app! Better than MFP!. I have so many good things I could say about this app but I'd end up writing a novel on it. I've been a long time MFP user but no more. Love the user interface of this app. Layout is easy to follow and finding things was a cinch. It syncs with Apple HealthKit. I just love that it has the Apple Watch app as well and you can log on the fly as needed. This is a huge plus here. The exercise tracking portion was a little confusing but I figured that out. It was just user error. Maybe consider combining the gps app into this one so its all in one location. Just my opinion. So far no issues and everything syncs just fine. I even sync'd my Withings scale to it and that's another plus. I like keeping data all in one centralized app and this app pretty much does that. I ended up deleting 3 or 4 other apps since this takes their place. Big kudos for the diabetic addition. The recent update is fantastic and the layouts are very user friendly. This app is worth it. Keep up the great work devs!!

Great updates, frustrating UI. I’ve returned to this app after many years of not tracking calories. This updates to the look and functionality of the app are great, but the design of one aspect of the user interface are really frustrating... the arrows that take you back to the daily calorie overview (dashboard) and to the previous day are vertically stacked and right next to each other. Once you switch to a previous day, the app stays on that day, and I often find that I have entered today’s items on a previous day. If you are entering items for a preset meal block (breakfast, lunch, dinner) every entry for that block receives the same time stamp - even if entered days later. So, it is very difficult to diagnose and correct a mistake. There does not seem to be a way to lock entries for previous days, or even a simple warning that you are doing so. I would love to give this app 5 stars, but with such a frustrating and easily fixed problem unfortunately it looses a star from me.

Self accountability. This program absolutely works not only to take weight off but to keep it off. It’s simple, really. You record in the program how much you want to weigh by what date, and it gives you a daily calorie budget. You get to add calories for calories earned by exercising. Then you enter every bit of food all day long and weigh yourself every day. If you stay under your calorie budget, you lose weight. A great tool is to enter something BEFORE you eat it to see what that will do to your “bottom line.” You can still eat it — you just see what the result will be. And the program tracks nutrients as well. And if the calorie budget is just too strict for you to maintain, you just adjust your expectations — push your target date out a month, or raise your target weight. I lost 30 pounds during the first year and a half of Covid, starting in October 2021. It’s now February 2023 and the weight is still off. If you use the program, you’re accountable to yourself. It’s simple and powerful.

The Best Rabbit Hole I’ve ever went down!. For someone like me, this app provides me with all the detailed data that I need to learn what is making me feel the way I do. After learning about how deficient I was in Vitamin D and how I felt just three days after starting a D3 supplement daily. I was absolutely blown away. I’m 47 and I felt 60! I started Keto and tracking my steps and exercise with iPhone and Apple Watch. MyNetDiary was the top app suggestion by the apple health app. I NEVER get paid apps but I bought this one. I was not disappointed at all. The app alone is super informative and useful. Also I would never consider subscribing to “Premium” services. BUT as of the time of writing this review, I am 4 days into my week trial and I have already decided to go with the yearly subscription. I started my Journey at 411lbs, constantly taking pain relievers and copious amounts of Caffeine for energy and joint and muscle pain. 1 1/2 Months later I’m down to 385lbs and have virtually stopped taking Ibuprofen. This app and service is THE best tool in my arsenal for my health. Once you set it up for your Fueling Habits “Diet”, (I hate the word diet), You will be amazed at what you can accomplish with the knowledge of what is going into your “machine”and how it affects your body and mindset. I also NEVER Write reviews so this “essay” is also a testament to how freakin awesome MyNetDiary is. Have a great day and do whatever it takes to feel awesome!

Best I’ve Tested. I have tested every calorie tracking app recommended under Apple Health for tracking calories and steps. Several calorie tracking apps only use the iPhone motion sensor for tracking steps and doesn’t read steps from Apple Health. MyNetDiary does, which works since I have a non-standard step tracker that works great. So many apps don’t get the user experience. MyNetDiary does. I have to say, the barcode scanner works great. I love that I can customize the dashboard. I like that I can set limits for the nutrients that I want to track. This app has a lot of features and I would never go back to any of the other apps that I’ve tested. This app is my new companion. I’m not dieting, I’m maintaining a lifestyle change. Just like you should always track your financial budget, you should always track your caloric intake. Too easy to wander out of control if you aren’t paying attention.

So much better than MyFitness pal!!. A while ago, I started using MyFitnessPal as my first calorie counter app and don’t get me wrong it’s a great app, but it fueled my eating disorder I was recently diagnosed with. That app gave me negative negative reminders if I went over my “carb limit” or my “fat limit” and I couldn’t type in the fact I was 13 so I had to put 18 years old so it gave me false information anyway. I got so obsessed with that app that It was unhealthy it would make me feel so guilty about eating carbs, fat, etc. My moms friend introduced me to this app and I thought it was going to be exactly the same as my fitness pal but it’s so much better and really promotes so much more healthier habits. First of all, it gives you more calories to work with, it lets you customize what you want to track, and it tells you the actual nutrients and a grade for the food so you can feel good about what you eat. Love this so much because it doesn’t trigger my eating disorder and even though recovering from ED you really shouldn’t count your calories but I’m only counting them just to make sure I eat well and enough :))) ❤️

Life changing. This is the longest review I’ve ever written, and that should tell you that of the 100 apps on my phone this is my favorite s d the most impactful to my life. Several years ago I lost 65 lbs and got down to 290 lbs from 355 lbs. I plateaus and maintained that weight. I started 2020 at 290 lbs and when the pandemic hit I started cooking all my meals at home and noticed a 5 lb loss so I decided to get serious about my nutrition tracking. I used MyNetDiary to track all my meals and snacks and set weight loss goal of 1.5 lbs per month. I used a mixture of the recipes on the app with others I already had and I could see a steady decrease in my weight. I loved that I could track all my nutrients and noticed some deficiencies I corrected like adding low sodium vegetable juice to up my potassium intake. Today I weigh 248 lbs. I have not been at this weight for 30 years and with MyNetDiary’s help I’ve lost over 100 lbs. My waist has gone from 54” to 44” and my A1C dropped from a 7.2 to a 5.5, and my endocrinologist told me I’m her star patient. Thank you! This app holds me accountable. My motto is if you nibble it you scribble it, or in this case if you bite it you type it. The only way to be successful is to be accountable to yourself and this app gives you the data that provides the cold hard truth.

Love this. This app has helped me lose 5% of my body weight so far. Keeping track of your calories, water and exercise is tremendously helpful. I like the passcode feature (don’t really need anyone seeing my stats lol) and being able to use the camera to scan barcodes for nutritional info. I pay extra monthly, for premium features. I like being able to keep track of the nutrients I’m taking in and what I might lack. The downside (please improve on this developers) is some of the foods listed have the incorrect calorie values and wrong nutritional information. Those are the two most important features that I find very valuable in helping me maintain a healthy lifestyle. Overall, this is a wonderful app for keeping a healthy lifestyle.

Solid tracking tool. I used this app to help me lose 30 pounds over the past year. It has many wonderful features. I have compared it with other apps and found it to be fairly comprehensive. My two disappointments with it are: first, it does not learn your metabolic rate. That means that if you consume fewer calories and maintain a weight, it does not learn what your body is doing. This seems like the most important and hopeful aspect of an app like this Lowercase and I would withhold a five star rating until it can do this. Second it does not integrate GPS tracking of runs and hikes and bike rides that I find essential in other apps such as map my fitness. On the plus side, I very much like the measurements tracking. This is a much healthier way to track progress toward fitness and weight goals then simply measuring your bodyweight.

LB. I like the changes to the pro version but my overall assessment remains the same. I should be able to customize sodium, carbs, cholesterol, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sugar, etc. per meal or daily totals amount that I want to consume I agree with Helpful......But. I have been using this app on n off for several months. Overall I like this app but continue to use my old app for tracking personal nutrients, i.e. sodium, sugar, etc. consumed and remainder. Because the pro version of this app doesn’t allow u to personalize daily nutrient limits. I like that it has an Apple Watch app and it sends data to Apple Health app. It is easy to add food items. Unfortunately I haven’t figured out how to add a food item that I did not consumed but will consume at a later date. My old app which I continue to use is very easy to do. This issue has made loading food items I consume rarely very tedious. It is one of the reasons I haven’t switched over to this app n continue to enter foods into two apps which is time consuming. I live on a fixed income and $8.99 per month just to track nutrients isn’t cost effective. I personally think it should have been included in the pro version upgrade. Especially since Free and cheaper apps include this feature. There are a lot of features I didn’t want and will never use but got with the pro upgrade.

Really enjoying Pro!. I transitioned over from MyPlate which I liked alot for ease & simplicity & I did lose weight. When I found out it was going away, I started researching other apps; had to be user-friendly with helpful features & not cost $$! I used Fat Secret for a couple days but it didn't thrill me. Saw MND Pro & went for it. Have been using for about 17 days & have lost 3 lbs! 😁 There is a little bit of a learning curve but CS was very helpful with my questions. So much more helpful info but not overwhelming & can customize. I've set a beginning weight loss goal & once I reach that will set new ones. It's nice to have some free recipes, to be able to track water & exercise with Pro. Counting calories is crucial for weight loss & this app makes it easy! The scanner is great & you can do your own custom food entries if necessary. If you're looking for a weight loss app with great features that doesn't break the bank, get MyNetDiary Pro! 😉

Best tracker I’ve found to date. I’ve used a number of the diet trackers available on iOS over the years, and there’s always been something or other I’ve hated about them. I’ve used this one for a month now, and after the first few days, I’ve become very comfortable using it. The database is more reliable than MyFitnessPal’s, and the interface more attractive. The PRO version (one time payment) allows you to view net carbs, and is easily modified to accommodate most diet types. What I don’t like: As far as the UI goes, only two things bug me. One is the shortcut names that the app eventually brings up for foods you eat frequently—these names aren’t editable, and often aren’t logical or obvious. I’d prefer to be able to choose my own. The other issue is that nutrients tracked can’t be rearranged. On any given device, only so many columns are shown, and I would like to shift the column order so the things more important to my tracking are always in view. The other reason for taking away one star from an otherwise excellent app: The price tag for Premium is about twice what I feel is reasonable. I’m not against developers getting paid for their work (my entire working career was in tech, as was my spouse’s), and I had no issue paying the flat rate to get the PRO app. I’d like some of the features, but if I paid the Premium price for every app I’d like to subscribe to, I’d quickly be broke. Perhaps an additional paid level with fewer benefits might attract more users?

Tracking on point. I use this app in conjunction with my iwatch and I have accurately tracked my weight loss journey and have metrics to look back on to tally my success. I recommend this app to anyone who is serious about dietary tracking and interested in finding out what it is that you’re eating that may be hindering your weight loss success.

Best I’ve found. I’ve used this app for years. Even in Australia, nothing else has come close and I happily pay for the premium version. Easy to use, syncs with other apps including my Fitbit and customisable.

Really pleased with this app. Great app. Use it all the time. But +RIDICULOUSLY+ hard to update your own personal plan from an iphone. It is possible but not at all intuitive or easy. My trainer gives me updated macros to follow. I need to set aside 30 minutes and a heap of googling to do the change.

Does almost everything. This app has got better and better over the 5 years I've been using it. Custom foods, custom meds, custom trackers, photoscan foods, fast response when you submit item photos for inclusion in the database. I only wish it would look at my vitamin intake and suggest food sources to improve it...

Much more aware of what I’m ACTUALLY eating. I wanted to lose weight, and knew I could improve my diet, not just reduce how much I ate. This app has helped me be more aware of what I am eating, and what I was not eating but should be.

App has gone downhill. I paid $7.99 for the Pro version of this app so I could track my macros and access all the extra content. I lost 10kg which was great. But now they have added a 'maximum' account and locked macros and extra content behind a ridiculously expensive SUBSCRIPTION pay wall. Haven't used this app in a year because of that. Total money grab. Deleting App now.

Very good but some improvements required. I have been with Mynetdiary (MND)for time for years, and all-up pretty happy. It has improved over the years and better than the rest. My Fitness Pal is a close 2nd and has some better charts and features that appeal to me. But..a few simple changes would make MND supurb and unbeatable. 1. Being able to move each food entry into the users’ prefered order with ease by just sliding an entry up or down. Currently, if I need sort my food entries into a logical order I either need to delete and re-enter in preferred order. 2. Being able to cycle all macros by day of week and meal of the day. 3. Being able to cycle calories by meal of day - enabling intermitent fasting diets to be programed. 4. Better charts and user defined charts. For example, better weight tracking charts that include planned againat actual and colour coded BMI. 5. User defined BMR (for users that have worked this out) - we are not all the same. Or automated BMR calculation based on weight loss progression and calorific balance. 6. Being able to copy and repeat ‘whole days’ meal plans between weeks and days. For example, to enter a recurring meal plan for every Monday. And copy all of this Tuesday to next Wednesday. I hope to see some of these soon.

Net diary. Brilliant .....I have just come off weight watchers (costing $30) per month for a one off payment of less then $5 and after not losing anything for the past 6 weeks with WW I have lost 2.2kgs in the first week with netdiary. I now feel motivated and rejuvenated ........ Love everything about it .....thanks

Deserves ALL of 5 stars. This app is the best calorie counter out FULL STOP. So many features and backed up by absolutely awesome support service you can’t go wrong. Barcode scanner info is fantastic A. VERY happy maximum purchaser

Fantastic. I have been using this app since 2014, it is amazing & is constantly being updated. Well done for the latest addition of weekly meal plans… even more fabulous. Well done

It does everything... REALLY well!. I’ve been using MyNetDiary almost every day for about 9 years. Seeing my weight graph is an eye-opener... especially the downward slope of my recent 20kg loss which I couldn’t have done without MND. I didn’t mind when it went to a subscription-based model, and it irks me to see other reviewers complaining about it. Every month or so I find new features, new insights and more ways to adapt MND into my lifestyle. With it, I will stay healthy and happy. Keep up the great work MND, you’ve got a user for life in me!

Highly recommended. Its an extraordinarily effective way to reduce calorie intake while ensuring optimal nutrition. And to manage calories burned and exercise in general - esp if you link with a fotness tracker. I bought the app many years ago when it was something like $3.89 and got the Pro version. And very easy to use. Only gripe now is the logging a food is a 2-step process which seems unnecessary. Also i used to be able to estimate the overall calories in a meal (esp if i went out and didnt know actual ingredients). Now i cant do that. I just find a food and adjust the amount to suit the calories i estimate i ate. Very annoying regressive change.

Same as the free version.. So I just went through every setting and every menu to see what the PRO version has to offer compared to the free version and literally could not find one setting that I couldn’t use on the free app.. even googled what the differences were and literally everything I found I already had in the free version I’m not sure if because I was once subscribed if it’s mucked it up but really just use the free version. Save your money for a gym membership or something that will actually help you in your weight loss/gain journey.

Fabulous App. This app is great and now even better after the latest updates. I love that scanned and searched foods now have pictures as well as all the nutrients in the food. The blogs and articles available for support are great and filled with the latest information and it is so easy to log foods and navigate the site. Recipes are easy to enter and it is a simple task to add and custom foods from their nutritional panels should they not scan. Thank you for a good app

Superb. This is an excellent app. I've tried plenty of others & this is the best by far. It'll probably extend my life by 10 years by helping me to stay healthy.

Great app. Great functionality. Well worth the subscription fee. Does what it says. No issues and regularly updated. Good work developers for a high standard app.

Annoying push for Premium subscription !. As a tracker the app is great. However, I find it super annoying that it constantly gives you options such as diet plans and if you choose what seems like an interesting feature it tells you to a pay monthly subscription to activate. Please move all subscription options to separate “Extras” menu where I can find them if I want to subscribe.

My net diary. Love love love this app! It’s like having a little coach. I check in every morning and do what I have to do. Once you get your head around what to eat and what to stay away from- high calorie foods- it’s easy!! Buy it and JUST DO IT!

Great support. The app is a great support to people watching their weigh or just interested in tracking lifestyle - highly recommended for its ease to use and how intuitive it is. So convenient to check packages via the scanner

Good App to keep you weight loss on track!. I like the analysis and the diet tips, the only problem is the food database isn’t as extensive as other rival apps, but at least it doesn’t ask for your personal data for use for 3rd party affiliates like My Fitness Pal.

Great App. A very useful tool for those who genuinely want to loose weight. I have used it now for some 8 years, as required, and always found it to be the successful way to genuine weight loss. The help line is exceptional, with helpful staff assisting with helpful advice. There are a lot of diet plans out there, but for genuine weight loss and till maintaining healthy eating, MyNet Diet in the one.

Awesome app. Absolutely love the app, but with the latest update you’ve taken away where the app tells you it’s fault, weekly and monthly prediction for weight loss. Could we please have that back. Edit: thank you so much for your reply ☺️ Also just want to say I love how you have the option of buying the pro version as I don’t want to pay for a yearly subscription. I really love the features that I got with the upgrade.

Still the best, but persistent bug prompts alternative search. Have been using this app for years and love the app, but authors stubborn refusal to fix an annoying bug that’s been there for years and got worse with more recent versions is prompting me to search for alternatives.

Awesome!!!!. It's just does everything you want it to do. Love the history of weight it keeps for example. Reliable also.

Not Sold. I’ve paid for this ‘pro’ version thinking it gave something more like • ability to send notifications to myself • linking to Fitbit For what I can gather these SIMPLE aspects that the likes of Fitnesspal etc have this doesn’t unless you pay monthly. So go the free one or go monthly, Pro is not worth your money

Hard to use for new users. It’s very pretty and well polished. But when it comes to its primary task of being a food diary you are out of luck until you set up all your favourites. The custom foods are useless unless you are reading off a packet. Or you go to chain restaurants like McDonald’s that publish food data. Bought a sandwich from your favourite deli, type in how many grams of protein, fat, sugar, fibre it contains - what they don’t have it handy?? Other food diaries allow you combine ingredients like: focaccia, grilled chicken, tomato, lettuce etc and add up the totals for you. The work around is to use recipes which isn’t immediately obvious. Search function is not very smart. Want to find chicken soup be prepared to be spammed with a list of Campbell’s, Tesco, Costco canned soups that you have to scroll through. MyNetDiary could be great it just needs a bit more usability.

Used to be good now money hungry unintuitive and even has outdated nutritional advice. Used to be great and simple interface. Free version had all utility which encouraged me to go to pro. Over time they’ve decided they’ll squeeze more out of us so now utilities have been restricted to paying more for premium…it’s wrecked the pro version. 15g a day fibre recommendation? That’s so out of date but u can’t change it unless u pay more - yeah greedy and out of date not to mention hideously busy and unintuitive interface- shame - great model corrupted

Fantastic App. I find this the best way to lose weight and keep track of nutrition , easy to use and the dashboard gives a great view of your daily diet.

Great app. August 2017 update, still the best app, and I now also use it to track my fasting mimicking diet FMD (Dr Valtor Longo) I just adjust the fat/carb ranges temporarily for the 5 day fast, works a treat 😊 Great app, works really well. Best food/exercise diary I have tried. Very good range of food items as well. Metric functionality is not quite finished throughout app but developer has said they are working on this, not a real issue just inconvenient sometimes. I have lost 4kg since I purchased app & on track to lose remaining 4kg. Happy customer :-)

Great food tracking but terrible to navigate. So hard to find the right areas to adjust settings. Food tracking is good, break down of macronutrients throughout the day works really well. But once you set something up, often by finding it by accident, it seems impossible to find that setting again. It is not intuitive at all.

The best app on my phone‼️. By far this is the most useful app on my phone. Well worth the investment for my health. The information and insights this app provides makes it really easy to see what your food choices are providing by way of nutrition etc.

Great little app!. Great little app! Helps you think about food choices because you can easily see how it affects your daily budget.

BEWARE BEFORE DOWNLOADING!. Bought this app thinking as it's the "pro" version that I would not need premium to add more than 2 recipies... I was wrong. Something other apps have for free is bulk adding ingredients where you need to subscribe for this feature. I have tested both apps and while i see no difference between the two, I just I just hope i have glossed over some feature I am not using yet.

A Great App. Easy to use, barcode scanning is a great feature, love the automatic listing of favourite foods and meals and it is effective in keeping on track to lose weight.

Originally good but pressure to subscribe is disgraceful. I paid for this app. Then they filled it with advertisements so I was prompted to get their “Pro” version. Now it’s getting ads again and constantly pressuring me to subscribe to “Premium”. Relentlessly. Honestly how many subscriptions do you think people can afford? I don’t need to subscribe to something that with a bit of effort I can do myself on a spreadsheet. Putting in effort into your weight loss rather than paying for a colourful app means you are committed. This is just entertainment.

It was confusing. I paid the $5 for the same app that I already had. It took a while to figure out the the “pro” is the same app with a couple of extra features; you still need the subscription if you want the full benefits (premium). That was confusing 🫤, I thought that now the premium was given for only a $5 fee! I was so elated.. anyway, it’s still a good app, I use it a lot.

Great app and connects to fitness devices. Really enjoying this app. I always find counting calories helps. I lost 3 kg in 6weeks. It would be good to be able to create regular meals using the available foods (eg bread + butter + peanut butter).

Key to weightloss. MyNetDiary has helped me lose 22kg in 7 months. I’ve always eaten healthy food but MyNetDiary made me aware of how many extra calories were in snacks, treats and alcohol. Logging daily holds you accountable and actually frees you to eat whatever you want knowing you are working within your calorie budget. I actually enjoy food even more now. The app is super easy to use especially using the barcode scanner. I love the apple symbol (which clearly shows the calories you’ve consumed that day). The app is well maintained with regular improvements, tips & tricks and the ability to send photos of new foods which are then added to their food database. The only thing I don’t like is some of the “contributed” foods from app users are not accurate in calories. I would like to see all contributed foods deleted from the database and for MyNetDiary to only add foods that can be verified by barcodes and photos of nutritional info.

Tracking non essential foods. Great to keep track of food intake, keeps you honest particularly for tracking the non essential foods and realising how many calories they add up to during the day!

Must have. This app is fantastic. A must have for anybody concerned about there health. Not only great for those trying to loose weight but also those trying to improve there health. Those that think they are eating healthily but need to check iron, calcium , sodium. Graphs encourage you to keep up a constant level and not to let yourself Down. Thankyou guys.

Great app!. Love this app. Easy to use. Been using it for six months and it is helping. My only criticism is that you need to pay for the maximum subscription to allow for daily steps (step bonus feature) to be added to the calorie budget. Can’t justify the cost for that feature as I really don’t need any of the other features that comes with that subscription. But I have worked out some work arounds for my daily step count.

Been using app for 8 years. I love that it has all my history. The food library is great and easy to use. I’ve tested other apps but always come back to this. Ideally I’d love a feature that could predict future loss of you stay on track.

Food library clunky. I found the free app EasyDietDiary is far superior to this paid app. Has a more accurate library of food especially for the barcode scanner, everything is way out in terms of nutritional information even though I've sent photos of the product.

Not bad. I found this app years ago and it’s always been pretty good, but lately I feel like it has slipped a bit. I’m disappointed you launched a “premium” version that requires more money. Small annoyances like having to calculate my running speed in mph instead of having the option to do kph are ridiculous considering the small subset of the worlds population still using miles

Best layout and easy to use app and best AU food logger. Great app, super simple and great catalog of Australian bar codes. Tried a few different apps and barcode scanning makes it quick and easy. When you can’t locate your Aussie food makes it to hard and long to log food. Not this one seems to have everything down to supplements and your standard coles and woolies foods.

Still the best!. Excellent -It is one of the best overall calorie counter I've used - good food data base plus much easy functionality including adding nutritional information for you via taking a photo for foods that are not in the data base. Works great with Apple Health syncing exercise, steps, calories, weight etc. Even has an Apple Watch app! More privacy settings than other calorie counters, information is certified encrypted on their servers thats important to me. Responsive support and great timely updates. More accurate breakdown of nutrition and vitamins and health breakdowns that Mynetdiary offers is absolutely worth it for me. I'm thoroughly impressed and have been for the long time I've been using it now to help get to and maintain my weight goals.

So simple. I could never keep a food diary but this makes it really easy and helps keep you on track.

My net diary. Finally an app that tells me everything I need to know, instantly! Works great no matter what diet your on or if you just want to keep an accurate food diary. Great App, convenient, keeps me on track when I get the urge to indulge.

A lot better. This app has improved a lot since I last used it... The only thing that stops me giving it 5 stars is that it doesn’t enough Australian food content in the search database ...for example..our hamburgers are not just bun and beef...it includes the condiments like lettuce, tomato, onion, beetroot...and sometimes...THE WORKS

I love this app. This app is brilliant. It’s my go to app for weight loss and tracking. One small thing which I live about it that I hope never goes away, the little food icons for every item you track. Other apps don’t have this, and it makes it so much easier to have a quick look and see what you have been eating. I love how you can add items to the database and easily correct some which have changed over time. Keep up the great work with the app!

Buggy. Got an Apple Watch and came back to this app. Interface is now a mess and their “Help” is useless. Am I going to subscribe? Pfffft.

Stop looking for a diet/calorie counting app. This is THE ONE!. Update 6 January, 2022. I’ve had a couple of questions that weren’t addressed in their extensive help and video files and tutorials so I contacted support. They got back to me quicker than I’m used to with the help I needed. Huge Kudos for that. I am so impressed with this app and the after purchase service that I subscribed to the Premium service. Great value. I've only been using this app for a week and I'm blown away by the overall experience. I wasn't looking for a food recording app because I already have one; but after reading "The Diet Fix" book, the author's favourite app choice is this one, so I thought I'd give it a try. Delighted that I did. This is app so much better than what I was using. Is it easy to use? Relatively speaking yes and at this point the non subscription "Pro" version does everything I need. There's an old saying that the data out is only as good as the data in. I have been religiously adding my foods and the outgoing results are illuminating, and iCloud syncs beautifully between the phone and iPad. When searching the food database, I rarely come up empty. In fact, the other app I was using sometimes did not give results for Canadian items. This app does much better in that regard. Another nice touch is the short tutorial videos to help you along. In conclusion this was well worth the $7 Canadian dollars.

Far to expensive. Drop the price and you would get more people subscribing.

User Friendly. It’s pretty straight forward. It has many features along with reminders stores previous meals and integrates with your mobile device. So easy to understand making it User Friendly

Best Tracker!. Simple to use, yet has all the advanced features I was looking for (scanning, recipes/ custom meals, nutrient tracking) and works well across all different devices.

Very helpful App for tracking purposes!. Inspires me to stick to an exercise and food intake plan. Has definitely aided in a greater understanding of calories versus exercise. I have been successful losing pounds!

Used to Love it but noticed that some great things were removed. It used to Really help you see how much you eat in a day and gives you an idea of how much calories are in a meal. Also, shows you where you're going wrong in your diet. But now I find they want you to subscribe for what I previously had available to me. Also notice that the search for foods has seriously demininshed. Used to be able to search for almost anything, now it can’t find foods without a barcode. Like bobs red mill pancake mix needed the bar code, Earls dill salmon can’t be found. Just disappointed with the app and the lost features/usability. It used to be the best app and I supported them and sent many friends and family to this app to purchase the pro. Now it’s like any other money grabbing app out there. Instead of adding awesome things to a subscription to entice you to subscribe, they removed things from the app you purchased. Disappointing

So many helpful features.. I love this app to bits. It is worth every dime of my repeating subscription. I’ve been using it for three years (I think?) & every time I decide I’d like to do a thing or know a thing, I discover the developers have already built the functionality into the app. It handles all the portion math with no effort required of my own brain, the recipes are easy to shop for & to make & I love how much you can customize the dashboard—from Cliff’s Notes to Encyclopedic. Oh yeah.... it also helped me lose 38 pounds of weight I’d gained on anti-depressant meds :-) I still use the app daily to make sure I don’t gain any of it back. Nice work, guys!

1L1. Love this app.Have gone back to other apps including point counter apps, always come back to this one. The only thing that could improve it would be if allowed a calorie allowance like 1200-1300 calories or 1300-1400 calories instead of just a strict 1300 calories or a strict 1400 calories.

Best food tracker app out there. Tons of features, easy to use, constantly adding new (even if small features). Couple features more I would like to see but maybe I just haven’t seen the setting yet. Great app

Keeps you on track. This is a great app for making you be accountable for what you eat in the journey of healthy eating and weight loss

Love it!! Best app ever. I just recently started using this app.... I love it... The app is easy to use

Number #1. Easiest food tracker calculator with the benefit of seeing if your eating to much or to low of CARBS-FAT-PROTEIN AND TELLS YOU YOUR MICRO-Nutrients I’ve been paying a Nutritionist $100 a month for her to tell me what this app was telling me for $5 Donatos a Month Beautiful recipes for Diabetics -KETO-Low Carbs You will understand what I mean by Getting the Colourful App which you can adjust from Dark mode or Bright mode

Consistently #1 in my opinion and I’ve tried them all. LOVE IT!!!. I have had the paid version of this app for years now. Support is amazing and you can tell the developer has a real passion for his product. It’s so much more than a calorie counter. The custom dashboards to support tracking for diabetics, net carb folks, etc. is great. You can create your own recipes and divide up the portions. It would take far too long to name all the wonderful features of this product, and yet it also is so easy to use for those who just want a basic tracker. The most helpful feature is that portion sizes are so well defined. Choosing the wrong size portion or making an assumption about how much “1 serving” of Dominos cheesy bread is can kill your goals. I have tried every app on the market over the years. Latest one is Noom. While their coaching is good, if you want a food tracker, it’s WAY more expensive, and it has a few cons, e.g. portion size is not described nearly as well, and it doesn’t help you re-use previous day foods like MyNetDiary - a huge plus for me. I came back to this app within 3 days. I’ve tried them ALL and I ALWAYS come back to MyNetDiary.

Could Be A Great App If. UPDATE The developer was very responsive. I did resolve my login issues. As I previously mentioned this is a great app for logging meals, exercise, weight loss goals etc. I do love this app and have now given it 5 stars. The developers care enough to get on top of issues when many do not take the time to respond. I have the Pro version of this app. It’s great for using to log meals, exercise, etc. Where it really sucks is with the logins. I was using it on my iPad but my phone had old information from the previous version. Was unable to connect my phone to sync the information. After numerous attempts I was able to update my phone. Now it does not recognize my login information on my iPad. Says that email address does not exist in their system. It’s the same email address as I used for the login on my phone. So now to use iPad I have to setup a new account and lose all the history. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED

Ads to upgrade an unending annoyance. I’ve used this app daily for a couple of years and thinks it works well. However the regular splash screens calling on my to upgrade are an unending irritation. I pay for my apps partly to be free of advertising. If I could find another product as good that was free of this constant irritation I would switch. Otherwise it is “apt to purpose” which is all I want from a tool.

Excellent app. I love it. I have shared it with a number of people and they feel the same way. It works. Follow it and it will help you.

Great for tracking. I've found this to be one of the best apps for tracking. As a Canadian I love that is has most Canadian grocery store brands in app.

Do NOT purchase…This used to be good but no more. I was an early purchaser of this app. At the time, they had a good UI and a decent amount of options to track nutrition and a fairly useable system to log and find food. However, with each update, they are systematically reducing options you can use, in an effort to push users to higher and higher costing monthly plans. If you sign up, you’ll notice that within months your options will decrease, and you’ll be asked to consider upgrading to the higher premium subscription levels. They’ve buried the right to change your plan in the fine print. It’s a shame that an interesting program, albeit with a somewhat quirky user display, has gone the way of corporate greed. But who knows, now that developer is out of the picture, maybe the CEO has a yacht to pay off.

Exceptional Readability & Usability | Impactful. Has had a major impact/effect on my pursuit of a healthy eating regime and weight loss & control. Noteworthy too—I appreciate the gentle reminders (nudges) to keep me on track. Many thanks to the MyNetDiary development and continuous improvement teams. Exceptional quality!

Best overall app of its kind!. This app has improved so much over the last couple of years that I barely recognize it. It is the best app of its kind that I’ve found by far!

Eats Noom for Lunch. This is a great ap. Very economical and feature rich. Easy to use. I’ve been using for 5 years and it works.

Awesome!. Makes it easy to manage weight, nutrition, exercise and other health metrics. Combined with my motivation and new, healthy lifestyle choices, it's helping me to get healthy again. Pro and Maximum versions are worth every penny. Beats MyFitnessPal and others hands now. Rich, science-based features for all lifestyles and diets. Crisp, popping interface. Amazing!

Works very well. Pro: Can use ml or oz. Can remember common meals. Adjusts calorie intake numbers for work out days. Con: Doesn't sync with Ihealth app. I have tried to update the nutrition for a food multiple times and gotten no response.

What’s Different?. While I’m sure there’s something I’m missing, the only thing I can see that’s really different between the Pro and free versions of the app is the cost to upgrade to the Premium subscription. Premium is $59.99/year with the free app and $84.99/year for the Pro app. Both subscriptions are offering identical things. I guess they figure if someone is willing to pay for the app, they can charge them more for the subscription.

Great app. Easy to add food items via either scan or search, great selections of portion sizes ( cups, grams, ounces, etc.). Very easy to use and maintain

Keeps you on track to achieve your goals. This app is robust in its breadth and depth of resources including recipes and content about the different diets and foods. It is a perfect tool to track everything you put in your body so you can evaluate what is working and not working every single day.

Losing weight!. This is truly helping me lose weight and realize how wrong all my bad eating habits were. I've lost 15lbs in 1-1/2 weeks!

Best app ever. Hands down best app out there.... Biggest food data base, easiest to use, created by professionals... And for 60 per year go pro.... Indispensable tool for health!

Worth every penny. Way better than all calories counting apps, customer service is excellent, support is wonderful. App’s really easy to understand and navigate, really colourful. I really recommend it.

J’adorerais s’il était en français!. Ça m’aide beaucoup à avoir une bonne hygiène alimentaire et à m’empêcher de grossir!

Love it!. This app makes staying on track so easy!

Great app. Love the improvements the app has made Over the years. I have used it consistently to reach my goals as they change. My only suggestion for the app would be the option to weigh in using Lbs but still be able to enter foods in metric. I think a lot of Canadian users would prefer this option 🇨🇦

Looks weird! Ends up the perfect health app!. This app is off on marketing with a weird name like MyNetDiary and looking like it can change your life. You’ll consistently benefit from this app. I tried MyFitnessPal and everything because I am a high tech female. I kept coming back to this app. It’s loaded with features like barcode scanners your products from the store etc. it’s how it’s designed that makes healthy eating sustainable. All other apps, I would stop using when the “new” feeling wore off. When your motivation dies down, this is the only app consistently still being used. They didn’t keep it flexible. The only thing I’d change is adding more functionality to the iWatch. They could improve their social personal blog functions. I have consistently chosen this app for years. I finally wrote a review!

Upsetting. I am very upset with the recent update. I’ve always been able to create recipes and use measurements, such as ML, and now when I use it, it automatically corrects it to a “serving” and that messes up the amount of calories. For example; I put in a good entry with it being 70 cals for every 125ml and when I save the entry and go to log it, it says that 125ml is actually 8750 cals. It is changing it to 1ml is 70 calories, instead of what I had. It’s very frustrating and this was the app I used daily. Guess I’ll have to find something else, unless it gets fixed.

Absolutely the best food diary on the App Store.. I’ve been using My Net Diary for more than five years. Couldn’t live without it.

Best App for Tracking!. I’m trying to actually GAIN weight and this helps where most push me with notifications to eat less or loss weight etc

Beware! Ok app, could be great though.. MyNetDiary Pro is great on its own although it crashes while tracking running and opening another app such as a music app. Where lies the problem is they push you to subscribe to MyNetDiary Premium non stop. So you do because they have 14 day money back guarantee. Nope. Not if you subscribe through the app. (Which 100% of the people will do) Only if you subscribe through their website. The Premium subscription is not worth it. If anything it makes the app cluttered with too much information. Not a go experience. I like the app but not the subscription. The 14 day money back guarantee is useless. I am within that period and cannot cancel. I cannot recommend this app. Look elsewhere.

Love how easy it is to use;. I give my net diary 5 stars it is like Having your own Personal dietician With added friends

Trying to scam me that my subscription has expired. I have been using the app since April 25th, 2002 with the purchased 1 year premium subscription. On the latest app update when opening app I was faced with the option to renew my expired subscription (it’s on auto renew for April 25 2023) or downgrade. I had email exchange with support and was told to downgrade and in app select the restore subscription - it’s been a week and it still doesn’t work in premium mode. This is a scam!

Mynetdiary best app ever. Really helps to stick to the diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Easy to use too

Best Nutrition App Available. Have used several apps over the years (Arise, Fat Secret, My Fitness Pal) and this one beats them all. Comprehensive, informative, easy to use and well integrated with other fitness apps. Your search is over.

My Net Diary food Buddy. My Net Diary has become my food buddy. It helps me keep track of what I eat. Started Keto Diet and it gives me a day to day view of what I have eaten and when along with my day to day weight Con, can't share custom entered recepies with my friends and family

Nice. Nice

Excellent and very helpful app. I have used another fitness/tracking app for over 4 years and I decided it was time for a change. This app stood out for its ease of use, uncluttered and friendly user interface and great food database. I am 4 days in now, and the more I use it, the more I like it. You can set it up to remind you regularly for food, exercise or other items, or you can quiet it down and just go with the flow. I really like the degree of customization that this app offers. Highly recommended. PK

Part of every day.. MyNetDiary allows me to track my micro and macronutrients. It is not easy to get all the essentials from food alone and MyNetDiary shows me when and where I need to supplement. It is very important to me. The data base is comprehensive and the app is user friendly.

The Best app I have ever used!. This app is convienent, fun, affordable, and educational! I used the free version for 2 weeks and fell so in love with it I bought the premium version… the extra charts and break downs are super motivating 👍🏼💗

Love this app!!!. I’ve been using this app off and on since 2014. It’s fantastic tool to keep track of what you eat and help motivate to make healthier choices and stay within the weight I’m looking for.

Sue P. This app is awesome. It’s my go to incentive to loosing weight. I just start logging my food & their positive feedback encourages me to pay more attention. The pounds start coming off which is more incentive. I like to plan my meals early in the day so if I’m tempted with a treat I can choose & budget my calories accordingly. For example I can add the treat, see what the calories are & negotiated with myself to keep the calories within budget. It’s taught me to choose to eat healthier, keeping sugars & fats within budget. I’m never hungry. MyNetDiary is constantly improving & logging food is so fast & easy. Thank you MyNetDiary ❤️

Good. Excellente application , Des progrès à coup sur. 😃

Works. You just have to remember to use it. It has helped me keep on an even keel with food. The ability to record exercise is a big help. My husband has lost 35 pounds and I have lost 30 from February to August. Not too rapid but steady. We are using Blue Apron food plan and adjusting portions to match our allowed calories. Eating healthy and well with lean meats and lots of veggies and some starch. Over all a healthy weight loss. Update: we each lost 60 pounds and have kept it off with little blips from time to time mostly over holidays then back on the diet. We no longer use blue apron because we know how to cook low calorie

Great app for calorie counting. I love this app for when I really need to portion my meals out properly. If I could make any suggestions, it would be to add more "meals" rather than just having breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack. For those of us who train and eat about 6 times a day, you know what I'm talking about. I have also found that some of the items don't let you choose different units of measurement. This makes it difficult at times. Oh and I would also like to be able to have an overview of all of the days that I recorded my meals. It makes it easier than looking at every single day to find a log. Other than that, great job!

I love love this App. I love this app. It’s so easy to use the best part about this app is the accountability that it has to keep you going. It leaves you great messages inspiration to keep you on track. I love the water reminders. I love the track everything reminders. Most importantly, I just love how I can sync it with my other health apps it’s easy to use you create your own recipes take pictures of it. That Hass to be one of my favorite features. It has staying on track and having accountability has definitely impacted my heath in such a way that there is no turning back now. The results are in and I’m loving it.

Max Features Price. I agree with Beast05 review. 8.99 is too unnecessary for the Max Features prices. I expected to be see some of them in pro version. Also for barcode scanning function is not good enough. Sometimes barcode is partially damaged and camera cant detect the actual barcode. It is good to be a manual entry section for barcode number. If camera can’t see it, at least I can write the barcode number and get the result. Better than the entering all nutrients manually. For my daily limit dashboard and and my weekly analysis should not be on the Max feature. There are other tools in market already does it. I understand that some features has a uniq case to be paid for in Max version such as diabetes. However some simple stuff should have already included in pro version.

Let me tell you. This app is honestly amazing. The functionality is great, it’s easy to use, and it works well and allows me to count my calories. It also motivates you to be better while at the same time doesn’t judge. HOWEVER, not only do you have to pay 4 dollars just to get the app, but you’re also extremely restricted and have to deal with ads unless you pay 9 dollars a month to get rid of adds and have all the functions the app has to offer. If you’re going to require a monthly subscription to allow the users to get rid of annoying ads and have all the benefits the app has to offer, then don’t make it cost money just to obtain. The app is honestly amazing, and does not need both payments to sustain itself.

My favorite weight management tool!!!. I LOVE this app!!! I have tried Noom and other diet/calorie counting apps and they are disappointing compared with using this app linked with Fitbit. Noom is great for psychology/CBT around food consumption & building good eating habits, but it’s tool for logging food and calories falls WAY short of My Net Diary. I love that I can have favorites, customize foods, build recipes and track my supplements & nutrients. These are crucial to eating with the perspective of viewing food as fuel. And especially important while eating a reduced calorie diet. Being able to insure that the proper nutrients are in smaller quantities of food is extremely important to maintaining a healthy body during weight loss. Two thumbs up to MyNetDiary! 👍🏼👍🏼💖

I was skeptical, until…. I was skeptical when comparing this app to My Fitness Pal and some of the other diet/nutrition apps out there. While this doesn’t have as much of the social aspect as MFP, its tracking capabilities for nutrition and its ability to adapt to Keto meal planning is FAR superior. The food database seems to find everything and doesn’t seem to rely on unreliably “crowd sourced” data like MFP, which has wild variations in their database because people who entered the MFP data were often not accurate or complete in their data entry. In short, MyNetDiary has almost everything MFP is lacking and can slice and dice your data in a wide variety of exceptional ways. I’m a fan!

Great App!. This app has been well worth it. Very simple, easy to use and convenient because it's on my phone. This makes it much more likely I'll consistently track diet and exercise accurately, and keep on track to reach my goals. The goal tracking monitor is a great reminder of how well I'm doing on a particular day. The list of foods is great because once I scan the label on a barcode, find the food on their database, or enter the information myself, the food stays on my list and all I have to do is adjust the portion size to accurately log the calories. It's been a great tool!

The Boss of Loss. A work companion had found out that I had started a weightlifting routine. As someone who was in his late 40’s I was struggling with the how much to lift verses when and food intake. He showed me “My Net Diary” and how it works. Using the calorie counter I dropped the weights and really delved into what makes Americans overweight...it was the food intake. Americans have been trained to eat food-like substances. Once you start counting calories, you start eating from the produce section and the butcher shop for chicken, beef, and fish. If you don’t make that switch...you can’t lower the calories you need to drop pounds from you body!

Impressive and Useful. MyNetDiary is making it far easier for me to achieve my weight loss goals. Really love the extensive list of food already in their system and their obvious dedication to add new ones so as to capture calorie counts and composition so easily. One suggestion would be making it easier to have daily supplements/vitamins repeat rather than having to copy them from a prior day. Also, it’s counterintuitive when copy & pasting that the verbiage is instead copy & copy (not a big deal though). Thanks for the excellent app!

Overall solid but glitches looking up Foods. God help you if you are trying to input m&m's into your food log or many other brand name items-any times the product is in their database but only comes up if you scan the barcode. Also, sometimes you scan something and it comes up as a totally different thing. Food logging works accurately 90% of the time but can also pull false numbers due to other people creating labels for foods incorrectly that you then pull up. Always check calorie counts independently like on Calorie King. Their algorithm estimate for weight loss and exercise is solid though. Overall best app available. Been using it almost daily for a year

Really works!. Easy to use and proven to help me lose weight when I use it religiously. The app is a great motivator and provides tips to help me stay on track. Syncs to the Apple health app and counts my exercise towards total calories. Scanning works great to capture food quickly and the food grades help when I’m shopping to pick out healthier options. I weigh in consistently and love the chart that shows my target relative to where I am currently as well as percentage of weight lost. I highly recommend this app if you want to lose weight or maintain it. It really brings to light what you are putting into your body and helps you make smarter choices.

Makes MyPlate look bad. This app is just great and is the very best food tracker out there in my opinion. It has a few quirks, but don’t they all? I wish it had some sort of AI where it would look at all your data (it has access to everything) and then make recommendations like “If you fast today you will lose 2#” sort of thing. Basically all it does is say keep it up or you went over. It ought to be able to look at all the macros you consume (and when) along with activity, age, etc. and coach you right into specific dietary guidelines. That would be out of this world. Anyway, great app.

Great Tool for a balanced diet. I've used apps that count calories but this app gives me a full dietary picture of what I eat everyday. It has been a real education in eating clean and it has helped me totally revamp how I approach my diet. As a by-product I've lost 13lbs in the last month and feel better than ever. I now have a great understanding of portion control. I highly recommend this app if you are like me, needing a more disciplined approach to eating right. Try it, it works! One improvement would be to show macros by meal and snack so you can enter before eating and adjust accordingly. You see your total macros which is good but need it by meal as well.

Better than Noom. I have been using the app since June 4 and today is July 8. I have lost 5 pounds so far. I am 66 years old and it is very hard to lose weight at this age. I tried Noom last spring but was put off by the goofy sayings that would pop up like “Noomalicious!”. My net diary is more in tune with my attention to detail and my seriousness level at being the healthiest I can be for the rest of my life. The nutritional guidance is wonderful. I like reading about macro and micro nutrients in general so I might as well be reading them on this app while I continue my journey to optimum health.

Lost 65 pounds! Maintained for 1 Year!!. Love this program!! It's my daily tool in staying on track. If you are SERIOUS about losing weight and keeping it off, then you must track your food. No shorts cuts. You just have to track your food! This program has helped me maintain my 65 pound weight loss. I enjoy the fact you can add your own recipes and custom food. I also like the daily and weekly analysis so you can look at the "big picture" on your weight loss or maintained. My only recommendation would be if they would put a calendar in the app so you can refer back to a specific day. Right now you have to scroll back manually which is a hassle. Overall, great app!!!

Could be better, but it’s good. It only gives you four meals a day and you cannot change this, so it doesn’t work for bodybuilders or athletes that need to eat every three hours or on specific times of the day. It gives you a breakfast lunch and dinner and one snack at the end of the day. You cannot relabel them they have to be labeled breakfast first then lunch then dinner then a snack. This app would be perfect if it allowed you to do as many meals the days you want until label the meals yourself. But apart from that it’s great it breaks down the fat, protein, and carbs. It shows you what your intake is, and incorporate any workouts and the calories burned. It has a really wide range of foods and if you can’t find the food then you can add it yourself.

The best app ever!. This app combines the best of all worlds. It’s super easy to dive right in and start using it right from the start. The interface and behaviors are (mostly) super intuitive and yet adaptive. Once into the app for a few days, it’s 1000% customizable to be extremely efficient and meaningful — for my very wonky and self-focused needs. I can get this app to become precisely tuned in to the things that are most important to me. Yet, it’s also engaging and as social (or anti-social) as I might want to be. Most importantly…I’ve consistently been at my targets since I started using this - yay!

Great app to track food and weight. This app is pretty user friendly and allows me to track food as well as weight and other measurements. I also like the ability to track water and the nutritional analysis of my food intake-all in easy to read formats and charts. The ability to scan items from bar codes is great, and if they're not in the data bank you can upload the information for future retrieval. I've had the app for several years, and have never had any stability / performance issues.

This program helps you be aware of what you are eating. When my husband and I decided to lose weight (over 5 years ago), we used My Net Diary. Tracking the daily calories and learning which foods were REALLY loaded with calories helped us reach our weight goals. Now we use it for weight maintenancee I love that you can enter a recipe so you don't have to enter each food every time you eat that meal (pancakes, or soups or casseroles, for example). Once you have a created recipe, you have the ability to scan another ingredient into it - an improvement that I love. One improvement would be to add the ability to add notes to recipes (ie. bake at 350° for 30 minutes.)

Best out there. I have been using this app for over 5 years now. This is the best calorie tracking app I have found. What I like about it is that you can enter your portion size in grams, ounces, cups, ml, tbsp (for most foods) or whatever is most convenient. This allows me to use a kitchen scale to accurately measure by weight without having to use measuring cups. It also allows you to copy foods from another meal or a list of favorites. You can even save your own recipes for easy entry. You can also scan bar codes or take pictures of labels to have them add the item to the database (upgraded version). Still love this app.

Needs improvement. I tried this app after my previous app deleted the scan option on their unpaid version. I was happy to have the scanner and love the way this app is laid out. It was easy to learn and use. However, I did not personally respond well to the constant shaming of yellow and red days, they occur when you go over your calorie goal, which you look at for an entire week before they are off of your Home Screen. I found that shaming and not at all encouraging. I know when I over eat - I don’t need to be reminded all week of making a mistake. I personally found that feature very discouraging. I would not recommend this app to anyone with an eating disorder. The constant grading of food was also a little much. Access to healthy choices can often be limited in daily life. Some people can’t afford fresh fruits and vegetables. Please find ways to make this app encouraging for all. Do not be part of the fat shaming culture. If those changes were made this app could be an awesome resource for weight loss. Personally, I’m going back to my old app.

Excellent.. Really like the utilities and the bar coding. Initially it wasn’t obvious or there was something that wasn’t working with the swipe copying of the previous days meals which was really handy. Then it was working. Limitations obviously if you’re eating out. Hard to estimate if it’s an off chain restaurant. So maybe you write that day off. One improvement I would suggest is if there is a way for you to create your own group of things like for instance “salad” and that group had all the ingredients : lettuce , tomato, dressing , etc. that would handy rather than adding individual components.

Telling ppl to eat way under and starving themselves. I’ve used this app for years but I feel that it’s changed recently. I workout 5-6 days/wk. I allow the app to adjust my macros when needed based off of my weigh-ins and workouts. Today was an off day. My current calorie goal is set to a little over 1400. It’s almost 4pm and I just now got to 1100 cal. The app is telling me that I’m at a slower loss for weight loss because I could exercise more by over 1150 calories!! Is this app insane!! It should be telling me to eat more, not less. Good thing I know better than to starve myself and go according to this app. I feel bad for the ppl who don’t know any better. I don’t think I’ll be using this app anymore.

Love this. I’ve only had the app for 1 week but it’s fairly easy to navigate. I haven’t figured out how to log or see the directions for the premium recipes only how to add the ingredients to my grocery list. I did pay for the year subscription after reading other reviews. UPDATE: I have figured out how to navigate my way around and love it. I’m using the Eat for your blood type app and able to adapt these recipes and log my meals. I love how it shows the vitamin content for each meal and for the day. I do have the premium subscription.

Very useful for the most part. Like many other reviewers I've found this app to be very helpful in doing the accounting and analysis necessary for managing one's diet. The interface is pretty straightforward. The one problem that I've continually encountered is the instability in the created recipes feature. (As of 9/18 that seems to have been fixed—it’s no longer an issue.) It would be nice to be able to duplicate a recipe so that a variation could be saved w/out having to re-enter the whole thing. Otherwise I’m very satisfied with the app. Update to above in December 2018: Still satisfied generally, however the created recipe instability has reappeared. Ingredients sometimes disappear, seemingly at random.

My Favorite App.... I have been using this app for over 3 years. Until recently, I couldn’t think of anything the development team could add to make me give it one more star. And then last month I was bored one evening and started reading about intermittent fasting benefits for the body. There are so many apps out there to track fasting. I’ve tried a couple but I’m not as religious about them as I am about this app. There are so many things I love about this app... 1. Goal setting 2. Recording food intake 3. Calorie budget for weight loss or maintenance 4. Water tracker 5. Step counter (which I can hook up to my watch app) 6. Vitamins and nutrition information 7. Food group surplus and deficits 8. A monthly overview of my habits 9. Easy to use and attractive interface 10. Fun reading tips or suggestions ...Just to name a few. Would it be terribly inconvenient to add a fasting calculator into this app? I do t want to fill out anymore questionnaires. I’d like a one-stop-fill out app for everything.

Very helpful to my weight-loss program. This very simple app has helped me drop from 208 to 158 pounds. The calorie data base is a very powerful tool when used in conjunction with the calorie tracker. The charting function enabled me to discover things about my eating habits that I had never realized before. I have also found the exercise tracker to be equally helpful and just as accurate as a dedicated fitness app that I use. While this diet app could use some aesthetic improvements, it takes almost all the guess work out of managing your daily caloric consumption. More importantly, the more you use the app, the better you become at self-monitoring the caloric aspects of your diet.

Best Food Diary I Have Found. The MyNetDiary food database is amazingly complete and includes many restaurant foods. It is being updated all the time and new foods are added quickly. The app has lots of measurement options so it is very easy to enter the exact amount of food you eat. It is easy to use with lots of time saving features. The customer support is terrific if you have any questions. I have been using this app for 5 years and it has been the main reason I have been able to lose 30 pounds and keep it off. I believe my diet and my health have much improved since I have been using this app. I highly recommend everyone use MyNetDiary.

Best food tracker. The app is easy to use, very intuitive. There are several ways to track your food and other things like macros. Gives massive amounts of usable data. I have lost 45 lbs since I started tracking. Was able to use the data to make lifestyle changes along the way. It also syncs with my Apple Watch and Nokia scale. Keeps track of my workouts, steps and weigh-ins....love that. Gives me all kinds of charts of progress. I will continue to use it after I’ve gotten to my weight goal for maintenance, which is a weight loss of about 10 more pounds! It also has good educational material and a forum for more tips and tricks. It is definitely my health status companion. Highly recommend the app.

Amazing must have app!. Had mine for 3 years now and is the only reason I was able that lose 70lbs after my second pregnancy! Was never a fit person and was very out of shape this app helped me learn about calorie deficits for me and my body and as I learned more showed me how I can track my macros and exercise. All this app has to offer is amazing and my favorite is the chart to track your weight and workouts and over time you can chart it all and my favorite was watching myself hit my goals in the time and way I wanted! Way better the my fitness pal! Go pro cause it really has it all

Keeps me honest!. When the calories are gone - time to stop eating! (or go work out some more). I love the daily nutrient table- makes me really think about the kind of food I'm eating and if it's meeting my fueling needs. Nice weight loss chart but wish that special event markers could be placed on the chart. Having a goal line is nice but I would like to place mini weight goals on the calendar/ weight loss slope line to motivate me along the way. (Something akin to “dropping a pin” on a mapping app.) Ex: I will reach my weight goal by Sept 30 but what weight will I be at for Cheryl’s wedding or the company picnic? Wonder if developers could change this for the Pro app? Overall - this app is well worth the money!

Best Weight Loss App EVER!. I have lost 24 lbs using this app and counting….my goal is another 26 lbs and I’m going to get there by September…. I have no doubt. Super easy to use, easy to see why some weeks you lose more than others and keeps on on track so you can achieve your goals. I personally am working on my weight loss slowly but if I feel like a glass of wine in the evening, I have one. I add in a simple 25-30 minute yoga workout 6 days a week and use free weights every other day for 20 minutes. I’m watching my body change by the week. Thank you whomever developed this program. I’m on my way to being the healthiest version of myself! Gratitude…..

Good app needs some tweaks. Overall, this app is a solid app for the features it has. I think tracking steps should be included in the pro version. Also, if I have to manually log exercise in the pro version, at least provide an option to create it the way you want in the watch app and not just the phone app. My one serious issue with the app is the food database having many inaccurate foods. Several things I have searched for and found have inaccurate nutrients. I’ve taken pictures and sent info, but I’m not sure if it has been updated in the database. I would be happy to increase my rating of the app providing the developers take feedback to make improvements.

Liked for years, but recent changes cause loss of data. Loved it for many years. Recent changes in entering the weight, has caused a few problems: 1. There’s a bug in which sometimes the data isn’t saved (even though i save it) 2. saving it now requires another click. 3. Your design of automatically entering the last weight i entered in the weight of the following days is by far inferior. Now it’s harder to actually follow my weight, as i cannot detects in which date i put in that weight, and in which dates I didn’t. No data on weight doesn’t mean i weigh the same as yesterday. Very bad design work that actually fundamentally hinders what this app is meant to serve me for, which is track my diet accurately. I really hope you’ll roll back to enable us to actually use this app for that. Would love to hear your feedback about the plans.

My favorite food tracking app!. I've explored and used many food tracking apps in my journey to loose 50lbs, but MyNetDiary Pro is by far the simplest, more intuitive, and nicely displayed. The graphics and colors are nice to look at everyday, which turned out to be important for my consistency of use. It's easy to input and file your recipes, which makes tracking those semi-regular meals really convenient. Just search the title of your recipe and it will appear with all the ingredients already listed. I cycle through the same meals a lot, so this feature makes it quick to input or tweak the recipe, if needed, without having to list everything all over again. Love this app!!!

Try this app if you want to lose weight the HEALTHY way!!. This app changed my life. For years I wasn't able to lose weight... I tried making an "intake" diary but it wasn't accurate in terms of calories/nutrients (who can honestly remember exactly how many calories are in 1 cup of Summer Squash?) I learned that I couldn't lose weight BEFORE this app because I didn't realize just how many calories I was eating. If you're someone who sticks to eating produce, lean meats, etc (things that don't come in a box), then you may know the struggle of counting calories. This app fixes that issue! It is SO easy to use and so accurate. I was able to lose 20 pounds in 3 months and I kept the weight off! Try it!

Wonderful App; with a few tweaks, could be excellent!. I’ve been using this app since Aug 2011 primarily for its weight loss charting. The chart allows me to see when I’ve creeped up on my weight and gets me back on track. I can see the results of what I’ve eaten and when, plus the effect of the level of exercise I’ve performed! it ‘gently’ reminds me to eat right, follow my pre-scheduled exercise routines and gives me the visual incentive to see that line go DOWN when it starts to climb up! Thanks for making it easy to keep track of it Suggestion/Question: When I open the chart, I have to widen and/or vertically heighten the screen to see the smaller improvements I’ve made (to continuously motivate me!). It’d be helpful if the chart view would remain heightened/widened visually, the same way I left it when I exited the app the previous time. Is this possible? If so, thank you in advance! Also, many thanks for allowing us the ability to MOVE the layout selections where they’re most useful to each individual. That added feature is PERFECT👍

Met my goal!. I was a terrible dieter before using this app. Couldn’t stick with anything. With MyNetDiary, I was honest with recording EVERYTHING I ate, I was motivated to eat better foods (not always) and worked more-but not to a maniacal degree. The old-fashioned “eat less, move more diet”! I lost the weight gradually and the app helped me realize how much “mindless“ I tended to do, and how portion control was key. You can calculate your exercise and increase your calorie limit for the day so if you’re going out, you can “splurge” every once in a while. Met my goal and feel great! I highly recommend this app!

Love The App!. I've been using this on and off for the last 7 years. Every time I use it on a daily basis I lose weight. It's simple and intuitive. You can track on your cell phone, Apple Watch or computer. So there's never a reason to not track what you eat while you're eating it. Very few items calories do not match the packaging, but they are only off by 5 - 10 calories so I just go with it since I'm still eating around 1,000 less calories when I am aware and tracking them. However, if you really want to, you can add the item yourself with the right amount or submit a notice to have it updated (which I've never done).

Expansive Database of Foods. For the several different food tracking apps to work, they need to be simple to use and have a huge database of foods. MyNetDiary meets both criteria. Every item on most fast food menus are listed. So entering a meal is easy. This app is the only one out there that helps me lose weight. It does it by making you aware of the calories is what you eat. It also monitors the nutrients, and with my high cholesterol, that’s critical. It works on my phone and it has a desktop app. This is the best dieting and nutritional management program available!

Very Informative. I never needed to watch my weight until about a year ago, when I noticed my clothes were shrinking. HA! Not so, I was growing! What is a diet? So many fads, silly information, worthless claims and expensive diet plans made it very difficult to get a solid answer. This app has made it possible for me to get a realistic handle on my day to day food intake to reach my goal. Add in daily exercise and some words of encouragement, and I’m on my way! It’s no mystery, diet and exercise go hand-in-hand, but figuring out just what I needed to do was a challenge for me. This app offered good information for me and it’s working.

Love it. I check in every day. I’m the most competitive person I know, with myself. Your app is simple for this 65 year old to use and complex enough to delight me most days with something new. Got it originally to help me loose 50 lbs to prep for knee replacement surgery 4 years ago. Daily tracking helped me figure what I was doing wrong, but more importantly, what I was doing right—so I could do it again. It worked. Weight goal reached in 7 months. Knee fixed. Stayed on app to maintain weight and keep loosing as I prepped for 2nd knee replacement. 2020 may be that year. Thanks in large in large part to you & your app.

Almost too much, but I highly recommend the app.. There a lot in the app. If only I could remember to log everything, everyday. the database of foods is fantastic. Maybe, I haven’t figured it out yet, but I wish that it would sync with Omnipod. Being able to import recipes from websites has been a fantastic feature that I use all the time. I’ve looked and spent money on other food diary apps, and in my opinion this is the most comprehensive food diary app for people who really need to keep track of their food intake and nutrients. I recommend it.

Pretty good. I’ve had the pro version for a few years. I would give this a 5/5 if I had the ability to have running totals by meal of fat/carbs/protein (not just carbs) or at least customize those and the ability to customize the number of meals. I read the faq about how to get around the number of meals... lame. It’s not your job to regulate my meals, but rather allow me to customize and regulate my meals. The very best thing about this app is the ability to measure food by grams and/or other units. I prefer grams for accuracy and I can do this. If I could get this in better apps, I would not use this one.

Always getting better!. I’ve used this app for several years and like all food journals, it is great at helping me lose and maintain weight. What I really like about MyNetDiary is that it keeps the features I like while adding upgrades like syncing with my exercise app and remembering my common meals so that I can enter them quickly. It also gives me lots of tools that let me customize what I want to do to keep me motivated, like a journal to write my goals, charts to see progress over time and I curious to try the new feature that looks like it will allow me to modify my calorie goals for each day to reach a weekly goal, supporting me to eat more healthy things during the week and splurge on the weekend.

Four Years and still love it!. My wife and I have both been using this app religiously for the last four years. We recommend it to everyone, and everyone who’s started using it loves it as much as we do. It’s hard to imagine how it could be better, but useful updates keep coming. The coaching features are superb for helping you meet your goal healthfully and sustainably. We love that it can be used to track EVERY nutrient, including fats by type, and Omega-3. Maybe best of all, this app respects your privacy. Apple Watch, Apple’s Health, MyNetDiary, and AutoSleep. Together they’re a dashboard for our bodies, and a testimonial to the power of knowledge in improving our lives. An excellent value.

Very useful. This app has been a highly significant tool in my weight loss journey...even on my best days I find that I overdo it in calorie consumption; MyNetDiary always helps me reign it in so I can be sure I stay under my daily caloric goals. It's also been very helpful in helping me to discover the foods that are the best bang for my calorik buck! Lol for example, I'm better off eating a bunch of strawberries or pineapples than the equivalent in grapes. I can see in real numbers the difference between white and brown rice etc. It's a rare occurrence that I don't find a food and that's a big plus! Over the last year with the help of this app and other lifestyle modifications I've lost 55+lbs.

Great app but features are still restricted. Upgrading to “Pro” offers a few token features and stops the incessant ads but the vast majority of useful features are reserved for their “Maximum” option. What is Maximum? It’s an $8.99 monthly subscription. Why ANYONE would think it’s worth $9 bucks a month to unlock their calorie tracker is an absolute mystery to me. This is why I no longer use My Fitness Pal. Every time you do something, it’s begging for some ridiculous monthly fee. Ya know, Maybe a couple of bucks a month is ok but there is no way in hell I'm going to give anyone $108 per year to for anything like this. To put this in perspective, that’s almost as much as I pay for Netflix. A product with infinitely more value. Y’all are nuts! Get a grip.

Almost Perfect… just one thing…. This app is brilliant. Good grades are an excellent way to help you change habits without obsessing over calorie counting. It’s clear, efficient, functional. Being able to iMessage my husband our food has helped him track too! The only issues I have with this is that the social/friend aspect is complicated and lacking. My husband became my friend but I wish we could encourage each other, chat, react to news like “Noah lost 6lbs” and stuff like that. If that becomes a thing and we don’t lose the features we have (specifically iMessage capabilities) I will happily change this to a 5 star!
