Great overall but... The editing range feature doesn’t work. Some labs I’d like to change to what my textbook says so I can keep it consistent, but when I go to edit the range it will not save. I also don’t know what the “high low and Sym” buttons at the top of each lab do… I thought if I press them it’ll let me edit those too but nothing happens when they are pressed. Overall it’s an okay app. I’d rate 5 ★ if all functions worked properly.

Another great app by med gear. Apps from Medical Gear keeps getting better and there is no exception with this one. I like how the app is organized with intuitive interface that is easy to navigate. Support is excellent if you ever need to get in touch with the developers and they listen to your concerns. Overall a must have app and I'm looking forward to future releases. Med Gear, how about adding Protein S and some more drugs?

Great app!. User interface is smooth and adding notes is easy and automatically appears with the description. I didn't see a plasma free hbg value but other than that it's fantastic

New Pay Wall?. App is now a worthless waste of device memory. Original app that I PURCHASED was pretty useful. Authors recently put the useful information that I paid for behind a subscription. I would not have purchased the app if it had required a subscription. Smells a bit like bait and switch or some other form of shenanigans. I certainly did not agree to this change . Did I mention that I paid for this app? I thought the apple App Store would keep this sort of riff-raff under control.

No Support. With the ability to sync data with iCloud the App does not provide a way to initiate downloading information from one device to another. You also have no choice in disabling iCloud backup for this App. So all my data was saved up to iCloud and delete from App - my notes, my bookmarks, everything was deleted. I have written tech support for the App numerous times without so much as one response. It may be a good App but it has bad support.

Way more than perfect!!. I don't know what to say.. Very very helpful and useful and beautiful and assume!!! I am hoping that they keep updating if there is more information..

Need toxicology section. This is a good lab reference for busy medical professionals. Need toxicology section for those working with drug dependency clients.

Really really useful. My most used app, you wont even realise how useful this app is until you want to know something more about the rheumatoid factor test really fast whilst running behind your instructing doctor! Recomended!

Incorrect. Mostly a good app, though there is some incorrect information, including incorrect reference ranges... makes me wonder what else could be wrong.

Must have for all med people!.. iCloud integration is a great addition. the notes that i made while at work jus appear on my iPad too. Its refreshing. The user interface is super elegant and intuitive. Anyone who seriously refers and uses apps while @ work, this is a must have!.

Fraud. Paid for this years ago now lost the features due to subscription. Deleted it after 6 years. the company is clearly unethical and there are much cheaper options out there. Dont get this app

Let the people who paid keep what they paid for. They should follow the model Goodnotes, or Notability uses when changing from paid to subscription.

Exceptional. As a med student I'm still learning the basic lab values. This app has saved me time and time again. The simplistic layout and succinct explanations are extremely handy. I use this app before my pocket medicine book or Up To Date.

Was great. I can no longer update this so it will not open. What a shame because it had been a really good quick reference.

Terrible. How do I cancel my subscription? How do I contact the seller. I have tried every possible way to cancel but to no avail.

Paid content now behind subscription. Paid user, all content previously available offline for easy reference but now hidden behind predatory paywall subscription without any prior notice or option for grandfathering as an early supporter. Can recommend this app, cannot recommend doing business with this company.

Fraud and apple is complicit. If you buy an app then years later a company makes it a paid subscription apple should protect you. This is fraud. This is baiting people. Grandfather your early adopters in or give me a refund you greedy people.

Awesome. Love this app! Please keep adding new information to this app. Very easy to use. I would like to add comments to bookmarked tests and an option to search google if I lookup a test not included in the app. This feature would be very useful when meeting with families and explaining resident condition, and would make the process faster. The links to conditions and to symptoms are easily overlooked. It took me awhile to realize they were there - maybe bold type would help.

Perfect for students. Like I said. This app is really good for students and great for a quick lookup for everyone. A very clean interface. Would like this list to expand.. and include some viril test descriptions like widal test, EBV antibody test.

What did I pay for?. So I paid for this app. It worked pretty well overall and I used it on occasion. Go to get on today and now the app that I paid $30 for now has a subscription system and all of the data that I paid for is now hidden. I would say bait and switch but that is when it’s free then they make you pay. I’VE ALREADY PAID FOR THE APP! Very disappointed in this company.

Something went wrong. I agree with all the reviews prior to mine. Very useful app. I have been using it for almost a year now. But something happened lately. The app would unexpectedly quit every time access it. Can this be fixed!!! There is no help support where I can report this problem. So I am adding it here.

Simply awesome. Every app should strive to be this good. Amazing interface with great info which does include disease states. The other reviewer is mistaken in that disease info is given in an organized list when you hit the high/low toggle icon.

GREAT APPLICATION- THE BEST MED APP EVER!. This applcation has the best interface by far, if compared to other lab apps and thats coupled and thats coupled good good information on tests. Links to external websites and the presentation info is good. I hope more labs are added through as this move forward. Me being a medical student in US, use this daily, its amazing. and @ THE ONE STAR USER? -- DK RN-- This app has tabs with conditions related to the lab tests.. you are totally misguided..or perhaps you want to have an intent (mal)..

I absolutely love this app!. It's perfect from start to finish. Very inclusive, discusses all the need-to-knows, very intelligently. Smooth execution and navigation. It's nice and fun to look at, nice design. First class app! My only aside is that some of the explanation lists for out of range values should be reviewed. I think I found one or two that were not as complete as others or didn't include an explanation of high/low values. Sorry, don't remember which test it was for. Good work verbal, thanks!

Charged For An App That Was Already Purchased. I bought this app when I was in NP school and it was useful tool because it came with everything included. Apparently there’s been a recent upgrade and now I’m being a charged additional money for a subscription service that already paid for. I’m sick of these apps trying to nickel and dime people. This is completely unethical.

Easy to use. I'm a nursing student and I recently came across this App while searching for healthcare tools. I really appreciate LabGear when I have a lot of lab work to interpret and not a lot of time to do so. I'd say that if you need simple lab value information, it's worth purchasing this App. If you need information that's more in depth, you might need to crack the textbook open. Overall, I'm pleased!

No need to look further!. Update: fixed all my concerns with this new update. Great product. From the description and screenshots this app totally appealed to me from the start. Wasn't sure I needed another lab app but after seeing this one I was hooked. I was also hesitant to the idea of wasting more money to assess another app only to be disappointed and then deleted, but intrigue won over. I'm glad to say so far this is a wonderful program. Easy to look at and use with entirely useful, informative content. VERY pleased and relieved with my purchase.

They Keep Fixing It. First of all, this app in useful in that it gives physiological concentrations of all kinds of things in both wt/vol AND molarity. This is helpful to me as a bioengineer because I hate doing pointless 'stoich, whatever. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Iterations between releasing a broken update and a fixed one is just a few hours. Somebody somewhere cares about releasing a functional app for the dozens of us who use it. Thank you, mystery person(s?)

One of my Favorites!. This app was incredibly helpful to me when I went through PA school - especially during my internal med rotation. I love that it provides clear, concise information about each lab test, and gives ddxs based on the results. This is one app that I will never delete!

Outstanding. Med Gears just outdone itself again. This app is just outstanding. The tips in the beginning inform the user on how to navigate and from there on , the app is extremely easy to use and the extra information available for the lab values are helpful. Crap. Bought this app years ago, now I found out they have introduced a subscription and can’t access the same content they have had from the beginning of time?! No new functionality, no new features were added but they have introduced a subscription for an app like this? I am sure that there are ongoing development cost that warrant a subscription - not really!

pretty good, but needs more. great concept and love the organization of the labs. very easy to use interface. however, it would be even better if the labs were more thorough. most labs have only a few sentances in the description. it would be nice if there was a "patient teaching" tab, nursing interventions or planning tab.

Good!. I've used many lab apps, this has to be the best. I'd like to see more content in heart physiology parameters.

Very good.. I just hope it relies on a more reputable source (textbook) than a website, e.g. Davidson's principles and practice of medicine. I also wish that more lab values are included, including the more specialized and rare tests. Great app for doctors and medical students nonetheless.

Great reference. I've been an RN for 3 years now and still use this app to look up labs I don't encounter very often.

Nice App. Well done app. Needs better customer support. Also could benefit from addition of the nomogram for erythropoietin levels based on hct. A listed range of normal values is useless for that test.

Pathologist. Probably useful for public or first year med student. Information too rudimentary for knowledgeable physicians or laboratorians.

Very helpful. I think the info is great and very handy for studying. I would love to see tests on serum/plasma included.

Very good UI. Simple to convert units. Different categgories and customized category. Bookmarks and functions of search are essentials.

Helpful app. I would like to see some stool labs and I think your SAO2 is backwards. You give results for high rather than low.

superb!. This is just great! I'm very satisfied with my purchase, one of the most essential medical apps that i regularly use. Lab tests just became easy because of this great interface. Great app. Great quick reference on the wards. Not comprehensive but if you need something not on its list then highly doubt its urgent.

The best. Used it on all Med rotations when doing scut work and writing patient notes. Reference everything now to remember it for the future. This, medscape, and pocket notes were my best friends.

Perhaps there are better. But I stopped looking a long time ago. Search looks at all tests. Abnormals are outlined in brief. There is always the wiki link and web search. A 5 star app

Love this app. One of the top three must have medical applications for doctors.

Copy/Paste needs to be enabled. The additional notes section could be great if the user could copy out items of special interest and paste them here for focused study. As a student, this ability would enhance LabGear as a study aid for me greatly.

Just OK. First off, this app is great for the beginner and moderate level, however those of us at the expert level would like this app more detailed and more inclusive of other lab tests aside from the hematology, clinical chemistry and coagulation basics.

A must have for any medical student/ resident / nurses. Very very useful and very professionally made. That's unlike many other apps.

Pointers. The app is good but, it doesn't really cover the biggest section of the medical lab witch is Microbiology. There is no section about the anticoagulant which can even be a very nice way to categorize the lab analysis.

Good but needs refining.. -1 star (generously) for rampant spelling and grammar errors, -1 for some of the monographs being overly general and a little unfocused. You have a potentially great product here; please hire a copy editor.
