Simply Being is the best guided meditation I have ever used. Simply Being is the best guided meditation I have ever used, and I’m grateful that it is still accessible at no additional cost. This alone makes this a 5-star app. I’ve been using Meditation Oasis apps for several years, and I was concerned that they may not continue to receive updates (and that they may not be compatible with future versions of iOS). Therefore, I am glad to see Meditation Oasis adopt the subscription model (most users do not understand the ongoing costs involved for developers to update apps with new features and to keep them compatible with ongoing OS updates). That being said, I’d like to see some additional features added (especially given the steep $50 per year subscription price), such as: - When playing, content should show in the Now Playing section in the Control Center and on the Lock Screen - Airplay support - The user interface is functional, but the design feels a bit outdated by today’s standards

This got me through some tough times. I was traveling frequently for work and having difficulty winding down at night. Constantly being in new places with new noises, dealing with the stresses of work, and ever present delays/reschedules that came with travel would have my mind racing! Sleep would not come no matter what sleep aids I tried and It affected my performance. I came across this little gem by “chance” in the middle of the night while looking for a white noise app. I cannot believe the difference it has made for me! It is simple to use, helps me settle down, and also brings me back to mindfulness every time I use it. I am ever grateful for this coming into my life at a desperate time and continue to appreciate it even after things have settled down. Thanks!

Great for yoga and for sleepless nights. I play the music only when I'm doing yoga in the morning. The timer keeps me on schedule without me having to check my clock! I've zoned out in the past, before getting this app, and lost track of time. Great also for quieting my mind on those nights when I've got too much going on in my head. I add the voice to the music and drift right off.

It is Relaxing. This app works well if you can actually let go of the things your mind is doing. Success depends on you. That said, it's better to try than not try. The voice speaks at good intervals that remind you to gently let go of your thoughts. The things it says are helpful and not intrusive. I docked it a star because the voice is *slightly* irritating. Just a teensy bit sing-song. It might be nice to have a male voice option.

Simple powerful tool. Have been using Simply Being for almost 2 years. It was a relatively easy intro to meditation, with so many options. I especially appreciate the option for different lengths of practice time: sometimes I can only handle 5 minutes. It is great to have the separate volume controls (voice and sound) since I find the ambient noise can vary.

Customizable app with delicate voice. It's always easy to get distracted meditating and there's nothing worse than an annoying accent or cadence. The woman's voice in this app is nondescript, calming and easily (for me) focuses me in a way that's not jarring. Very easy. I love that you can customize the background sounds, the volume of both background and voice, and adjust even the length of time the sounds and guided meditation go --all interdependently. Easy app. Easy meditation.

Fabulous Meditation App. I've done plenty of meditation in my life and have done man meditation practices. This is the first time I actually look forward to meditation. Whatever it is - the music, woman's voice, the control of timing - everything about this app is like taking a "mini vacation" in the middle of the day. I put on my head phones, close my eyes, and go into inner space for however long I've pre-determined. Meditation simply doesn't get better or more effective.

Perfect for the newbie -. I've never reviewed an app before but this one deserves a glowing review. I've always found it hard to quiet my mind to meditate and need the guided meditations. This app is $2 well spent. You can pick your length of time, voice volume, etc. to help you with your meditation practice. It is exactly what I needed to begin meditating again - with just that little bit of help! Well done!

Great app!. As a beginner in meditating, this app really helps me. I like the voice used and sound/music choices. Being able to adjust the separate voice and music volumes is helpful to how I am feeling that day. I find what the voice says is helpful and not annoying. The different timers are important to me, too. Just when I start having a busy brain, she reminds me what to do. I have found many days of calmness due to this app.

Great for focus. I have a hard time meditating on my own and find some music and guidance helps me focus, but if there's too much talking, it's annoying or distracting. This is a perfect mix of gentle guidance with music (optional.) it's a pretty basic concept as you can choose from several sound options and various time limits, which I love. It seems like she just did a variation on some gentle reminders and then rotates those in cycles depending on how long your meditation is. Like I said, nothing fancy, but that's what I like about it. It's been great for getting me back into meditation, as I'm one to find following instructions a better way for me to do something vs. trying on my own, where I'll likely give up! The app is simple to use and I haven't had any problems so far.

Oregonjoe. I too have rarely written a review for an app. When I first got this app I was a bit skeptical. Then I used it and was absolutely amazed. I like that I can set the volume of the voice and the music. I'm surprised every single time I use it because it works! I find myself in such a relaxed state, and didn't think it was possible, but then it's the end and I am "coming to" and I think to myself "wow that really works". Just try it.

Great for beginners & those getting back into it. I've done all kinds of meditations from sitting quietly for 2 minutes all the way up to a 10 day silent meditation retreat (that's right, 10 days of complete silence). This app is great for anyone at any level! The woman has a calming voice and I love the different music and sound options. I pick different ones each day. Highly recommended!!

Definitely Recomend. I was very young when I discovered this app, around 9 or so, and I have been using it every night for the past 4 years to help me sleep. Now an anxious 13 year-old, this app has helped me relax at night and fall into an oasis of relaxation, taking my mind off school and everything that has happened that day. I don't have the voice on, for I usually turn the voice volume all the way down to just listen to the gentle background music. I prefer "light rain" as my sound, because I love rainy days. Sorry this review is so long, but I definitely recommend this app to people who have stress, anxiety, or even insomnia. So worth the payment. Thank you Meditation Oasis.

Simply Wonderful!. Been using this app for years. Despite all the glitzy new meditation apps with 6 zillion options, I keep coming back to this one, time and again. I find the voice very soothing and easy to listen to; the soundtrack is mellow and not the least bit distracting to me; it puts me in such a relaxed mood. I teach high school math, which defines insanity, but 20 minutes of this app with earbuds and behind closed eyelids at lunchtime gets me through even the most stressful of days.

Good, but could be great.. I really like this app. I love the time choices and the guidance. I love the sounds. I just set it up, got in bed, cleared my mind and drifted off. It is just what I need because my mind wanders after about 3 minutes of anything moderately still. That being said, I'd love a reminder that I could set in the app that will alert me that I should start my meditation or that I've skipped a few. I need those gentle nudges and guidance to keep up this lovely routine just like I need the guidance during the actual meditation.

Best meditation ever!. I was turned on to this meditation in a therapy group, had downloaded onto a previous phone. It has helped me through some very dark times when I felt unworthy and useless, not worth the skin I was in. Took me forever to find it again when I had gotten a new phone as Apple didn’t support it, but I didn’t give up! This meditation has been soothing from the start, her voice just seemed sweet and just made you want to do this over and over, depending on how rough my day, I did just that. I also love how you can pick the background noise and have always found a good steady rain soothing.

Amazing life saver. I've never done meditation before but heard about this app online. Didn't use it for about a month till I was stressed to the breaking point. I hadn't eaten in 4 days from stress so I finally tried the app. I started at 5 min, was too quick. Ended up doing all sessions and even fell asleep. When I woke up I was starving and so relaxed. I now do it every morning when I wake up and before bed! It's truly worth the money! I've even got my friends onto it.

Not what I expected, in a good way. At first I thought the lady's voice was kinda annoying but I was having trouble sleeping and my friend suggested this app. So I tried it. And once I got the volume and music and stuff the way I liked it, I feel asleep in a matter of 30-40 min. It might not take you that long or it might take you longer, but I usually take about 2 hours at least to fall asleep so this is really good for me. I actually get more sleep, I have better dreams (crazy, right?) AND it's actually easier to up in the morning, because I feel really rested. And even when I get a lot of sleep, I usually don't feel rested. So I don't know what it is, but the voice and the music is so calming. (I suggest either the "acceptance" music, or the "gentle night" music. Sorry this is long but this app is really good! The payment is defiantly worth it!!

Healing is one of the blessings of Sleep. I have had this app for at least 2 years. I have two total hip replacements and a knee (TKR) and I need soothing, healing sleep. I started using the “Simply Being” app over two years ago. I have extreme arthritis and definitely have trouble sleeping; this app is a lifesaver! I like “Gentle Night” the best, it is very relaxing. I have recommended it to several others, our daughter included. She is a teacher and frequently has problems sleeping, she also found out she relaxed and fell asleep easier. Love it! 💕

best meditation app. Simply Being is exactly what it says it is. There are no subscription pressures, there is only a choice of times and background noises, so that you can learn how to empty your mind. It’s ironic that “Mindfulness” Is actually “mindlessness”. It’s about emptying your mind of racing thoughts, so that you can calm down, and get some rest. Simply Being accomplishes this through gentle recordings that help you to concentrate on your breath, your skin, other things that normally we do not notice, so that your mind empties of more complex thoughts, and allows your brain to “rest” while you are still awake. Try it right before sleep! It helps. A great buy, don’t hesitate.

Just What I Neefed. I have used this app every night, and it was exactly what I needed to finally make meditation a part of my everyday life. The guidance really helps me to keep my mind in the right place and always seems to say exactly what I need to hear. I even find myself repeating the guidance to myself throughout the day, which has done wonders for controlling my stress. I highly recommend this app for anyone looking for a good stress management tool. It's not an exaggeration to say it has helped change my life.

Simple and effective. The voice, choice of sounds and length of medication are all pluses. I have practiced yoga so found some of the techniques for breathing or positioning were helpful in addition to the voice and music. This would be good for a beginner with limited meditation or mindfulness experience as well as someone who has practiced meditation in the past. I found it very useful and serves it's purpose purpose well.

Great for quick relaxation when stressed from work. As a beginner to meditation, this app is great because it guides you as much or as little as you wish. I use it mostly for quick, 5-10 minute meditations, usually when I’m feeling overwhelmed by work or personal stress. Also, after having used it for a few years, I get benefits from the app even when I’m NOT using it! For example, it’s trained me to understand how not to feel over-stressed by negative thoughts, instead letting them flow through me but not having me absorb the stress. That last sentence will make more sense once you try the app! My favorite use of it: set for 5 minutes, with the voice guidance plus the “stream” sounds. I lie on the floor on my back with my arms and legs stretched out (“dead man’s pose” in yoga). It’s been a real treat to my body and mind!

My favorite meditation app. I really like everything about this app. The woman's voice, the options for music or different nature sounds, the time options. But most of all I like what she is saying. It's very easy to let your mind wonder while meditating and Simply Being's approach to this is calm, realistic and gently brings you back to the meditation. It also doesn't focus on relaxing certain parts of your body at a time which usually makes me fidgety. I have several meditation apps but this is my usual go to.

Great for beginners & experienced. I love this app. It is very user-friendly. I was anxious about trying meditation, and about 'doing it correctly.' But the voice-guided meditation really helps me get into meditation, and understand that there isn't a 'correct' way to do it. It's helped ease my anxiety, and ground me when I need it. I also have found it extremely useful for falling asleep like a lot of other people. It just helps relax your mind. I love the new ability to choose which specific type of music, or nature sounds you want to listen to. And I've always enjoyed that it allows you to pick the meditation length, and how much time you want the music/nature sounds to continue for after your meditation is over.

7seeker. Great app for those who are new to meditation. Also great for resisters, those of us who tell ourselves we don't have time to meditate. Very calming and soothing voice with just the right words to ease the mind chatter. Every time I use this app I wonder why I had resisted doing this meditation in the first place. While using this app, I'm not thinking, about the time (how many minutes has it been or how many minutes do I have left). I highly recommend this app.

Lifesaver! Simply the best.. I've tried about 15 meditation apps included ones for guided and specific issues like anxiety, sleep and anger. This app is perfect because: (1) do a little or a lot: choose five, ten or up to 30 minutes, (2) timing of her speaking is perfect: the guide seems to speak at just the right intervals to not disrupt when you get a good groove going but enough to keep you centered in the meditation, (3) it works for all issues you may be having because it's generic enough but says a lot like about letting go of thoughts and feeling your breath, etc. and (4) it's the little things: like being able to control the speakers voice volume, chose background music or ambient sound and control that volume separately, and how long you want music to trail off at the so you can just drop or or fade away to nice music. Perfect.

Wonderful and Useful App. This app is easy to use, and it really helps me to be in the moment and take things as they come. Last weekend I had a terrible cold and lots to do, and I had no idea how I would get it all done. This app helped me let go of my concern that I couldn't get everything done, freeing up all that worry energy to help me do what I needed to do. I love the flexibility of the app, the voice track, and the high quality of the sounds and music.

Great app by a developer of non-subscription apps!!!!. I’m in a period of my life where I’m trying to reign in my anxiety. I’ve been on a quest for the “perfect “ meditation application. Well, I may not have found one single perfect app, but I was lucky enough to find the perfect app developer of apps that help to free oneself of anxiety and sleep problems! I highly recommend this application, and the other apps by this developer. This amazing developer has not given in to the subscription model!!! I’m so proud of them. I personally have given them a donation simply as a thank you for not giving in. We need to start protesting with our pocketbooks to prevent the increasingly frivolous use of the subscription model.

Perfect for the inexperienced meditator. For someone whose mind can't seem to stop spinning long enough to effectively meditate (someone like me, for example), this app is incredible. The meditations are directed so even if you start thinking about your to-do list or what to have for dinner next Friday, you are gently and effectively brought back to the present. The separate volume controls for the voice and the relaxation sounds are awesome. Everyone should have this app to center them after a long and trying day.

Love This App!. I never write reviews for apps, but this one is well worth buying. I'm a psychologist and I use it myself as well as recommending it to patients. It's wonderful to take a moment to truly rest your body and your mind, sometimes in the middle of a busy day. You can choose the length of time that you will rest and meditate, you can choose was the background sounds, and you can choose how long after the voice stops that you will continue to hear it. This woman's voice is incredibly restful and even relieving. If you have trouble sleeping or you need a way to take a quiet break, I highly recommend this app.

Simple and easy to use. I’ve had this app for many years. I love the simplicity, it makes meditation actually happen for me. You don’t have to click a bunch of buttons to figure out how to use the app and the UI is not overly complicated. Just open, set your desired time and get straight to meditation. I really appreciate that it hasn’t changed over the years to whatever fad is currently happening it’s all about easy meditation.

Very simple and effective. Great app that allows you to choose different lengths of meditation. I prefer the music option, but there are different types of background noise ranging from rain to sounds of the forest. Also a no sound option for those who just want a few gentle reminders to breath while they meditate. This app is great for beginners and experienced meditators alike. I use it for 10 minutes each morning before I even get out of bed, which is perfect because I prefer to meditate in corpse pose vs sitting up. I like how simple this app is without a lot of bells and whistles to distract me.

Great app. I really like this app. I have been interested in meditation for awhile, but never could get myself too far into it. After reading a good amount of research about mindfulness practices and their effectiveness in stress and pain management, I decided to give mindfulness meditation a try. This app is great! I started with 5 minutes and worked my way up to 20 within a month. It is a great way to calm the mind, release tension, anger, and frustration and practice meditation. This app is simple, easy-to-use, and very approachable. The options to extend the music/nature sounds is a bonus.

Helps me fall asleep. I’ve had trouble sleeping all my life but it has become recently more difficult due to anxiety. I play this as I fall asleep and it helps distance me from my negative thoughts and grounds me in reality. I originally got this app to meditate and it works great for that too. The interface doesn’t have as many choices as other meditation apps but that makes it much easier to use.

Delightful.. Really great especially for those of us new to it and trying to meditate more! Good options on sounds voice and volume. Only other thing I would suggest is another option at the end. You can have music play after her voice ends for either "few seconds" or 5 minutes or more. Id really like to see 1-2 minutes. Might sound like a small difference but for those of us on tight time schedules it would help. Or maybe I should give in and treat myself to the extra four minutes of peace. ☺️

Perfect for long commutes. I have a daily commute to work of one hour each day. Spending so long behind the wheel is very stressful and bad for my health. I have found that listening to this app through my car radio to be most beneficial. Ignoring the part about closing your eyes of course, I find that it helps me focus on driving and allows me to expect the unexpected without worry or stress. Perhaps they should make a version for commuters as I have heard stories in the news about road rage and how long commutes are really bad for you. Anyway, thanks for a great app!

Simple, yet well-designed. When my previous favorite meditation app was no longer supported, I began a search for a replacement. I tried several that seemed promising, but required an ongoing auto-paid subscription, or had lots of unnecessary frilly add-ons. Simply Being is exactly what I wanted, at a very affordable price. It’s self-contained (no in-app purchased needed to make it work, and no intrusive ads). The interface is simple and direct. I love that it has two sliders to adjust the volume for the voice and background sounds separately. When I only want sounds, I can slide the voice down to silence— or vice versa. From the same page you can choose the length of your meditation, the type of music or nature sounds, and how long you wish the sounds to continue after the guided meditation is complete. Tapping the info button takes you to a page with tips, support and other information. I recommend this to anyone looking for a meditation timer or guided meditation.

Great meditation guidance. I've been using this app for over a year now and I still love it. The kind of meditation involved is focused on being in the present moment, accepting all thoughts / sensations / conditions without attachment or judgment. Though I'd like to play around with more sound and music choices, the ones offered are pleasant and not distracting. I know I can count on this app for a good meditation experience, and, thanks to using it a lot, my low tech solo meditations are more centered and serene.

Perfect!!!. Ok let's cut to it--there's a lot of meditation apps out there and this remains the best. Whether beginner or advanced, this app has the best essentials, settings for those essentials, music, guiding voice (if you choose to use it). I tried one of those "fun" game looking meditation apps and it sucked. If you want to take meditation seriously and get the amazing divine messages and/or peace that come with regular meditation, then stick with this one.

Great for beginners. I have a really jumpy mind, and the mix of music and gentle suggestion keep me coming back to the meditation. I highly recommend you give it a try, especially if you don't know where to begin. And then keep in mind that meditation is a practice, and you'll "do better" some times more than others. Just be kind to yourself, and let the app help you simply be.

Best Meditation App EVER. I literally NEVER buy apps. This is probably the second app I've ever bought and it was well worth it. I've had tons of free meditation apps and even searched websites for a good guided meditation and nothing out there compares to this apps efficiency. The voice and sounds that accompany the mediation are spot on. It's also a good app if you have trouble falling asleep because it calms you that effectively. I use it every day and LOVE IT!! I'd give it 6/5 stars if I could cuz I love it that much!!!

Wonderful program. This is a great app which makes it easy for anyone to meditate anytime. It is incredibly easy to use and extremely flexible in terms of options. I love being able to begin a 5 min meditation with one tap or choose a meditation of any length. You can pick music and set the volume of the music in relation to the volume of the voice. It is a fantastic app with nothing negative!! Kudos to the creators!

outstanding guidance, especially for new meditators. As a mental health professional, I have used this app on numerous occasions with patients new to meditation. Very few people can tolerate a completely silent meditation experience when they are starting out, or if they have ADD -type sy,proms. for example. So a soothing voice guidance that is very SIMPLE, uncluttered with woo-woo New Age stuff, just gently returning the wandering mind, is very useful. Menu options are simple to use and good enhancements.

I've tried several others but simply return to Simply Being. I have tried other meditation apps but keep coming back to this one. The variety of sounds and volume settings allow me to create the meditation atmosphere best suited to my needs. When I begin my daily meditation, my brain is literally buzzing. I can feel the buzzing draining away then the sinking sensation of deep meditation takes over. Other apps can interrupt that sensation. With the delicate speaking pattern and volume control, I never feel jolted out of a meditative state. And by extending the sounds I can 'come back' at my own pace, noting that each day is different.

Best I've found. I've looked through numerous meditation apps and was surprised at how few were as user friendly as Simply Being. The timer, voice and music options are clearly laid out and perfect for variety as well as adapting to what my schedule may allow that day. Additionally the voice, choice of guidance words and musical accompaniment are all very pleasing and really support me in finding a deeper meditation experience. Highly recommend Simply Being.

Great App. I bought this app to try meditating and immediately fell asleep listening to it. I tried it again and again with the same result. Now, I’m not sure that’s what the makers intended, but I don’t care because now I use it to fall asleep fast. Usually within 10-15 minutes. I recommended it to my girlfriend (now wife) who had trouble falling asleep and she immediately found that it out her to sleep. This app works wonders to help you relax, clear your mind, and fall asleep. I recommend this app to anyone who’s mind races when trying to fall asleep. Worth every penny.

Wonderful app!!. I am new to meditation and this app makes it so easy! I live that there are separate volume controls for voice and music and that I can choose how long to listen to music after the meditation is done. I especially love the nature sounds. It is also great that you can do as little as 5 minutes. That kept me from feeling overwhelmed at first and also allows me to do at least something when I am busy. It would be easy to blow off 20 minutes because "I'm too busy." but I can always find 5 minutes and feel so much better afterwards! Finally, I LOVE they way the meditation addresses thoughts and how to handle them. Nothing I've tried before did that and I always found myself struggling with how to manage my thoughts when I was trying to meditate. LOVE LOVE LOVE this app!!!!!

Best meditation app I’ve found. I have tried a number of different meditation apps, but this is by far my favorite. It is very handy that you can manually control the volume of the voice and the volume of the music separately. I have come to use the app in two different ways: voice-only is for my meditation, and music-only (“Acceptance”) is to help me drift off to sleep, whether for a nap or for the night. That music can knock me out in under five minutes in virtually any circumstances! This app is a great value; I highly recommend it.

Keeps me going. Not going to go into tons of detail here but I currently go to a boarding school and being in a boarding house with a bunch of other guys can be difficult. I'm away from my family for weeks at a time. Seeing them makes me the happiest kid alive, but when I'm at school I just don't feel like I relate to anybody at all. Basically, I've come across this app that my mother recommended me. So I used it once and I feel so happy because when I'm meditating, I have almost no stress. Nothing to make me sad. It really keeps me together. If you are in a situation like mine or just want some peace every once in a while, then get this app.

Still my favorite. I have used this app for many years. Throughout I have tried other recommended meditation apps, however I always come back to this one. I like that I can determine sounds, voice & duration. When I put this app on I now automatically relax. Thank you.

Great for busy minds!. I use this app every day, usually on my lunch break and also each night. It really refreshes my brain during the day (10 or 15 mins) and sends me to sleep at night (15 - 30 mins). I use it with music during the day to stay present and just the voice at night. So awesome, I definitely recommend it!

Simple and Effective. These were the first meditation apps I downloaded and are the best. I’ve tried others but deleted them all. I use them for when I can’t fall asleep and I don’t think I’ve ever reached the end! I also have recently started to put headphones in and sleep with the light rain sound to block out my partner’s snoring. It works wonders.

Does the job beautifully. I got onto this app after discovering the Meditation Oasis podcast, which I found in a desperate moment and have been using for a few years. I find them so helpful because the process is simple, the instructions and voice open and unobtrusive, and the length of meditations just right. This meditation app is great because Just Being is one of my go-to sessions on the podcast and the Meditation Oasis app but here I can just jump in from my home screen and choose the length of time. They’ve clearly listened to what people would need. I’ve tried a lot of apps and the only stayers are this and Buddhify.

Hmmmmm. Well the calm ocean is great. But the voice used is trying too hard to be calm, to the point of grating. Could be improved by being less monotone and intro, middle and end of meditation have more structure or rhythm. I like that you can turn the voice to zero and just have the noise of your choice.

Great guided meditation app. Soothing spoke words, choice of ambient music and independent volume, certainly has assisted a bit with insomnia and stress reduction over the past 2+ years I’ve had the app

Simple and effective. Easy and quick to use and very effective. I feel relaxed in minutes and love the fact you can change the background sounds and the volumes of voice and sounds. Fantastic.

In the present. I do an inner mantra meditation as well daily but I am starting to prefer this Simply Being meditation. Her calming voice keeps me in the now like an anchor and grounds me to the meditation. Highly recommended.

Great for anxiety. I use this app when my mind is busy and I can't fall asleep. A fifteen minute meditation with ocean sounds will take me from manic to sleeping. It's pretty amazing. No visualising or anything that requires your imagination (which I find doesn't help my already active mind) it's all about just being mindful. Good complement to CBT.

Love this. I love this meditation app. I love the option to have different background sounds as well as sound / music afterwards. Calming for use at different stages of my day and zzzz if I can't relax my mind into a sleep state this will certainly do it!

Perfect. This is a fantastic little app for anyone interested in meditation, it is very easy to use. No matter if you are a beginner or more familiar with meditation, this App has meditation time limit options (5, 10, 15, 20, 30 mins) and a variety of soothing background sounds or music. You can also adjust the sound level of the spoken meditation and the background sounds. I love it!

Mr. The updated app has expanded the choices for background music which is a great improvement. Having used several other meditation programs over the years, Simply Being is by far and away the best. Its flexibility and scope make it a program I really enjoy using on a regular basis.

Prefer previous version. Sorry but I think your previous version was better. This one is not as relaxing and in fact makes me agitated. I used to fall asleep with the previous version but find I have to turn this one off

Lovely!. Very simple! As this type of app should be. I use it to put me to sleep when my mind is too busy. And best of all, I use it to go back to sleep quickly when I wake during the night, especially by letting the music or gentle noises run well after the voice-over finishes. Namaste 🙏

Fantastic app. This app provides the best method for relaxing especially prior to going to sleep. My doctor recommended I do some meditation before sleep and I've found this to be the best. Simply the best. IMHO this is the smoothest key for those seeking the door to the inner world. My life has been coloured by ADHD which makes for an interesting wildly imaginatively brain. Until I came upon Simply Being there were so many distractions along the way to focussed peaceful meditation that I rarely made it to the door let alone enter. Using simply Being has changed that and now I make my way to the door with the key pass through regularly. There's just something about it. Highly recommended for other ADHD'ers and those having difficulty in relaxation and meditation.

Simple. I've downloaded a number of meditation apps over the past couple of years and Simply Being is the only one I've stuck to. I like that you can adjust the time you wish to meditate for as well as being able to change the background sounds if needed. The app is simple, but has everything you need. Thank you so much! :)

Great for those who find it hard to fall asleep!. I've been struggling to rest my mind and block out thoughts and sleep well but this app is very effective in calming your thoughts slowly allowing you to rest, relax and slowly fall asleep. Love the ability to set the time as well (5 mins for a short break or 20 mins for a nap). Great choice of music and volume control as well. Very grateful to have found this app!

SIMPLY THE BEST. I look forward to my 20 minutes of "power down" time with my "Simply gBeing" app. I usually do it when I arrive home from work and I can guarantee I'm asleep before the 20 minute mark! Leaves me feeling totally relaxed and clears my head of all the meaningless thoughts that bombard is on a daily basis. Well worth the investment!!!!!

The change for the worse. How to make something brilliant in it’s simplicity rubbish? Do what these guys have done. It’s now complex to navigate to the simply being app of old and believe it or not they’ve removed the time elapsed. Why? Hard to tell because when I emailed their support email address in their help and support section, it bounced as the address wasn’t found. I’m sure there are better meditation apps around these days. Don’t bother with this one anymore.

Great app. I have been using this app for quite a few years now, it helps me unwind after a stressful day and also to relax before I go bed. Get this app if you need to relax before bed or if your mind is too busy to shut down, you won't regret it.

Best thing to fall asleep. I know technically you’re not supposed to sleep with meditation but the combination of her voice and the ambient music is so relaxing. Something so simple in saying ‘you have nothing to do now’ is so powerful. Love this app.

Very soothing. I purchased the combo Simply Being and Relax & Rest Guided Meditation, soothing and relaxing voice and music, great apps. The Nature Sounds are the same on both apps, would prefer the music to be different for more choice when purchasing combos.

Best meditation app I've tried. This is my favourite meditation app. Why? It's flexible - I can choose the length of time, background sounds, even the volumes of background and voice, so I can change it according to my needs, mood and environment. Also, the voice isn't annoying, which is a problem I have with many meditation apps!

Easy and Simple. I enjoy using the app, it is useful for quiet time to centre yourself and I also use it just before I go to sleep at night as a way to relax.

Daily Practice. I use this app every day. I am noticing that over time, the depth of my meditations is growing and it sets me up for a calm and relaxed day. The new version is even easier to use and I love the added 30 minute option.

Big help. I suffer periodically from bad anxiety and find this app very helpful to get to sleep or just to take the edge off extreme anxiety. Very soothing. My husband used it if he wakes during the night and starts worrying about work.

Simple and perfect. I have downloaded several meditation apps but they have all ended up getting deleted by me except this one. A lot of meditations ask you to imagine things or feel sensations and that just distracts me and makes me more stressed. I love that you don't have to 'do' anything with this, just let the calming voice and music wash over you. I often use it to put me to sleep as I have a very active mind and I also use it as a 'power nap' ie when I am exhausted and need a 20 minute nap because I can never get to sleep quick enough for naps because my mind is too busy. I have also used this as a quick recharge when I have a terrible headache or am exhausted and need to go out or back to work. 5 to 10 minutes and I feel so much better!

5 stars for style and simplicity. This app is one that I use each day, I work in mental health so it's vitally important that I start my day out calm and relaxed, I recommend this app to my clients also. I particularly like how you can have the option of keeping the music going for a set amount of time after the meditation is finished. I like to keep the music going for another 10 minutes and during that time I visualize my life's goals and do a prayer time. Highly recommend!

Something to look forward to before bed.. I don't sleep very well and this helps me relax enough to get to sleep!

5 years and still loving it.. I ve been using it for 5 years. I love it. It’s a very simple program. Just some choices of music and a setting of background guiding voice. The content of guide changes from time to time, but says more or less the same. I found the lady’s voice very calming. Every time I start to feel panic, I find a quiet and relax spot, put this on, and my mind will just follow her voice and gradually calms down. Personally recommend the “gentle night” music!

Disappointing. I had tried headspace and liked their app but don’t like their $. I thought this might be a good alternative. It’s not. Doesn’t focus on the breath at all, she just tells you to sit their and don’t think about your thoughts. Maybe if you’re a seasoned meditator it’s ok but if you’re just learning it’s useless. Don’t waste your $ like I did. I’ll keep looking.

Great tool to reboot yourself. I have been using this one for about two years now, it is just good. Well made, I use it with the background music; 15 minutes is enough to refocus, anytime!

I fall asleep in 3 minutes flat. Wow, this app was recommended to me by my nutritionist to help with my stress load. I listened to it for 5 mins during the day one time and found it to be relaxing. The women's voice is soothing. I then thought it would set me up at night for a great sleep and set it for 15 mins. Man it relaxes me so easily that I'm out in 3 minutes flat! I really love it and recommend it.

Great Guided Meditation for the Newb. I've been looking for an intro to guided meditation for a long time. This app does exactly what I wanted. A great start.

Meditation Oasis. Why would anyone try to improve on such a perfect meditation as Simply Being? I have been listening to Simply Being for many many years. It was my go to meditation. With sound of your voice and the birds and water I could feel myself relax in layers. Now - where is that beautiful voice that lulled me into peace and inner calm? Where are the birds and lapping water? It was such a disappointment to lose such a wonderful meditation. I actually grieve its loss. There is nothing left of it. No reassuring voice, no lapping water, no birds . . . Nothing of what made it the most beautiful meditation.

Simple and effective. Select the duration, choose the background music, set the volume and you're good to go

The purpose is to help settle down your nervous system and build up your capacity for being non-reactive awareness of your experience (thoughts, emotions and body sensations). This app is complimentary with the psychotherapeutic approaches of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) pioneered by Dr Steven Hayes. I have recommended this app and many other meditations by Mary to a lot of people. .

Just What I Needed. It is too difficult for me to clear my mind completely without a little help! This app is just what I needed to gently and quietly assist me in learning to meditate. It worked! Just enough guidance but not too much. I find I'm clearing away my thoughts of daily life and able to achieve a higher goal.

Hidden Treasure of Meditation. I’ve been using this app since 2015 and it’s helped me to sort of protect myself from excessive negativity and stress, I love the idea of —in that moment— simply being and not worrying about anything you have to do, oftentimes during meditation you still feel pressure to DO something...I will continue to use it :)

Recommend Highly. Great app! I've listened to many relaxation/hypnosis CDs and apps. The speaker's voice is particularly soothing and gentle. You can choose length of time for the meditation to run, between 5-30 minutes and increments in between. You can also choose between a nice selection of background sounds.

Does The Trick For Me. I had the previous incarnation of this app and depended on it occasionally for Rest & Relaxation. I was very disappointed when it apparently was dropped from the app store, but delighted later to see it had been renamed and improved. Now I can recommend it to my friends again!

Perfect for sleep. I use this if & when my mind is racing at night and she has not failed me yet! I sleep before it ends. I am a therapist and recommend this as a start for patients with all kinds of symptoms. Highly recommend. And all of their apps for that matter.

Wonderful!. I have been trying to meditate for years.. And I have been unsuccessful because I could not "do it on my own".. Just not at that stage yet. This app is great in that I can meditate anywhere and the lady's voice is very soothing. The beautiful sounds that you get to pick from is an added bonus. Calming. Being a high strung person I needed to take time each day to relax. This has worked well for me. I started with 5 minutes and moved immediately to 10. I really have no problem staying focused and think I could do it for 30 soon. Great buy

The Only One I've Kept. I have downloaded a lot of meditation apps and this is the only one I haven't deleted. I love it. My twelve-year- old daughter listens to it with me and it lets her ho to sleep easily. I love the woman's voice, the peaceful music, and how she keeps gently guiding you back from thinking about everything going on in your life.

Perfect for my meditation needs!. I was looking for a very particular app for the longest time. I needed one that would start with a guided meditation for 5-10 minutes but then let the sounds or meditation continue after the guided part stopped. This is perfect! I love that you can easily control the time settings, so I can meditate for shorter or longer depending on how much time I have.

Amazing! But maybe too relaxing?. This app works so amazingly well that I use it to put me to sleep at night. If I use it dying the day, it calms me and allows me to be more relaxed, however, if I listen to it at night it puts me to sleep in a matter of minutes. I absolutely love it!

Ok but not the best. Just bought this yesterday and tried a quick 10 minute meditation. I highly suggest you turn down the voice command after the first couple minutes bc it can be quite annoying hearing the facilitator say " just relax" " simple being" over and over... Meditation should be a moment for you to listen to your mind and body, not someone constantly telling to let things go and be aware of your surroundings.

Soothing; centering. My first attempt at meditation was with Simply Being about 4 years ago. I have since taken a course in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and meditation practice is part of my daily life. I have a special place in my heart for Simply Being, and I come back to it for its soothing simplicity. I love the message that I can Simply Be. Thank you Mary and Richard.

The music and voice are extremely pleasing and soothing assisting me in reaching a nice meditative space. Enjoyed for 10 years. I’ve been using this app for a decade now- about time I got on to give it 5 stars! I’ve listened to it on headphones on a plane with mint tea, and in bed on speaker before going to sleep. Love the length of the meditation, the soothing voice, the gentle rain patter background. Always feel more relaxed after listening.

Great for daily meditation & during panic attacks. I've tried several apps & like this one the best. I like that they don't count your breaths & that you breath at your own pace. I also found the soothing voice, music & prompts very helpful. For me the prompts to resisting judging/labeling your emotions & thoughts really helped me stop the negative self talk I have when anxious.

Relaxation, Balance, Presence. I have been using simply being for a few years now. I live the different durations available. If I need a little break at work, a 5 minute mediation is perfect. When I'm at the beach, I can do a 30 minute mediation. The voice is soothing as are the music and background sounds. It's one of my go to guided meditation apps.

Comforted me. When I was going through family health issues with my mother and stepdad, I found it so hard to be peaceful. When I was staying at my moms, I played this app every night and it is what quieted me down and let me sleep . I shared it with my husband and he enjoys it also.

Works!. I've tried to meditate on and off for years. This app is simple and it works. I thought I would get bored with it after a while. I've been enjoying it faithfully for over a year and I look forward to my meditation every day!!

Mediocre at best -weird wording to the spoken part. I wasn't a fan of what she was saying, I meditate everyday with and without guided meditation tapes. I usually follow a mindfulness based breathing focused kind of meditation, if you do too then you will likely find the language she uses to be a bit vague, there is really no direction or instruction to focus your busy mind on, which caused me to unfortunately tune out her voice. As for the app, it's very simple, not worth 1.99. Why not have an ad-based free app? Or is there one avail I couldn't find? This app didn't live up to my expectations.

Lucky discovery. Being a chronic insomniac and one who's always scurrying around, I need help to be still and be calm. I read of this in the Coverteur and bought both it and the Relax and Rest apps. The ability to control voice and background sounds provide great versatility and immediate results for rest and sleep.

Wonderful, Gentle App!. I love this app because it is so simple! It IS for all intents and purposes, "Simply Being!" I use another meditation app in conjunction with this one. The other one is more theme oriented. I do that one first then Simply Being to get more deeply into my meditation. I often meditate before going to sleep and then let the music continue to play while I fall asleep. This app is really lovely!

Couldn't be happier. I listen to this meditation every night before I go to bed and I fall asleep in the middle of it. I went from laying in bed for 2+ hours trying to fall asleep to less than 30 minutes. great for beginners, like myself. All around wonderful app!!

Simply great. Very simple and very relaxing and the best way to get a 5 minute pick me up during the day. It totally takes my stress level down a notch just by listening to the waves in the background and the calming voice telling me just what I need to hear. Thanks so much for such s great app!

My Favorite. I have been using Simply Being for several years now. I love this app. I have tried a few different wellness apps, and both for meditation and for sleep this one is my favorite. It is simple. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles. Just the way I like it.

Love!!. Wow this app is amazing! I had bought it a few days ago, and that night I got in a car accident. I was so distraught, but I used this app, and I had an instant effect of relief and acceptance with my situation. Even though you're not supposed to fall asleep, I use it before bed too, because it helps me sleep better with my sleeping disorders such as sleep paralysis etc.

The combinations you can choose of voice and sounds along with their relative levels give you great options. The negative reviews I've seen are way off base. Love it.

Peace and serene. I am not a meditator but this app is helping me be one. Peaceful and coaching from a non-invasive voice. The bonus is you get to decide how long you want to meditate. You also get to pick how much music and voice you want during your meditation session. I really like this app.

Good for focusing a short sit. I enjoy Simply Being when I just got home from work and I want to have a short meditation before I start cooking dinner. Makes it easy to calm down and focus without thinking back on the day or ahead into the evening. If there's a quick step into 5 to 20 minutes of peace, this is it!

Simple and elegant . . .. The ability to independently adjust the volumes of the voice and music as well as the endless loop feature. Brilliant. No guided list of activities or specific things to pay attention to. Perfectly spaced, non-intrusive, useful spoken assist on dealing with thoughts. Thank you. Please don't upgrade.

Perfect pick me up. Excellent way to unwind or de-stress. Can do this anywhere anytime... Even at my desk if I just need to shut the door and take a few minutes to center myself. Only wish would be to have an option to add some guided relaxation of your body, for when you have time/space to do that as well.

Great App!. I love this app, because it's very easy to use. I love the choices of the calm sounds and the voice is very relaxing to listen to as I have a very difficult time focusing when meditating trying to keep my mind from wandering and thinking about any issues that I am struggling with in my daily life. I started meditating three weeks ago and this app has kept me motivated to do so.

Wow, wow, wow!. I get stressed out a lot and this app helps immensely. It's so simple but very effective to listen to the guided meditation. I feel so much better after just five minutes. The narrator has a soothing voice and the narration is very effective at anticipating your thoughts and guiding you in to a more calm state. I haven't tried the longer meditations but the five minute is very good. I'd like to thank the makers of this app for making me less stressed!

Just what I needed. Easy to use app, just what I needed to start meditating. Personally I prefer "moderate surf" behind the voice prompt and I find myself listening to it while preparing for bed to help establish my sleep routine. I love that I can choose a short period of time or a long one, and that I can play just the background noise for a while afterwards.

What would I do without it?. This is my lifeline. I need this every day. Great app. Does what it needs to. Her voice is just there enough to lull you in without being annoying. I can have a wonderful meditation every time. Nice options to change up the ambient noises I can do this anywhere, and have. Even in busy airports and around my family.

Therapist recommended!. My therapist actually recommended this app to me, as she used it herself, and I love it! It’s simple and easy to use while also having everything you need to customize the aspects based on your preferences.

Works well for me. I wanted to start meditating but wasn't exactly sure what meditation was or how to "do it". This app was perfect for starting my meditation journey. The guiding voice helps keep my mind from wandering too far away and I like the background music options. I like how I can adjust the volume to make the music dominant or the voice louder. I use this app almost every day.

Beautiful for years. I’ve been using this app for several years and have always found it to be very helpful. In fact, I’m so used to it that the first few bars of music drop me immediately into a deep meditative state! I’m so grateful to have this resource for my journey.

Great app but only one variable meditation. Let me start out by saying I love the app. It's a great meditation and the tools it give you are amazing. The only problem I have with it is it's just the one meditation. For the price I would have liked to have more than one. I know the developer has to make its money. But again great start or end to your day.

Daily Escape. Every morning I take 5-10 minutes just to escape and meditate. Her voice is very soothing and gently brings my attention back to myself whenever my mind wanders to all the things I have to do that day. This is a simple app that does everything I need!

Great! So simple and helpful. This app is great - the spoken guidance is straightforward, there is a nice set of background sounds to choose from (or you can choose no background sound), and there are a bunch of different times to choose from. It's also very easy to use. And her voice is nice.

My daily center. This app puts my heart and mind in a place to receive my wife after my workday. I'm very busy after work and I work early, she comes home hours later, so my time with her is priceless, this app quiets my daily grind and clears my vision to see the love in our home.

Just being - just right. Excellent aid to "mantra-less" meditation ... instead of focusing attention on a sound or concept, simply be aware of all that is in the moment, without getting caught up in thoughts or emotions that may be present. Deeply relaxing, and helps to build an inner calm that lasts, and grows from day to day. A gift!

Just simple. I find my mind loves to bounce from thought to thought especially when I become stressed. I find the voice pleasing and sometimes just concentrate on the sound rather than the words. I've used the 5 minute option a couple times at work. It was helpful.

Amazing. This app was recommended by my yoga teacher. She suggested it for my daughter. It's really incredible. You can make it as short as 5 minutes so for those of use with busy lives it's something we can totally manage and do. The music is perfect and there are different options of sounds and music. This is the one. Searching for a guided meditation app that did not require a subscription (like $69/year). Having tried many, the voice of the woman guiding the meditation is pleasant and gentle. I like that the app offers the choices of duration with the minimum of 5 minutes. It is uncomplicated and refreshing.
