Glad it's back!. Far less than the cost of coding books. I'm surprised at how long the company covered everyone's costs. It's a hard adjustment when something used to be free but many willing to pay to have it.

Billing. Really useful

immediately crashes. This update breaks the program. Won't launch.

Update not working. Don't update. They require a subscription for $79.99 and it still does not work.

Free for years now $80? Not worth it.. I've been using this app for my ASA billing codes since 2011. All of a sudden it's $80 to "subscribe? Big mistake Abeo. I would guess many of the people using this app are also using Abeo for billing. As such, we are already paying you a significant amount. It has never been a perfect app. No way it's worth more than $5. I've built up my "favorite" procedure codes many times but it deletes the list randomly. The search function only recognizes words exactly as they are in the descriptions. So sometimes it takes a while to find the right words to get the code for the procedure I want. I've used it in even with these problems but now it's useless. No way I'm paying $80. I'll go back to the RVU book. Very disappointed.

They bricked it. I guess AMA got to them... now $79 to see CPT codes, and so the app is now entirely useless to me. Thanks, AMA!

App Crashes. Useless after new update

Still a great product. If you have ever seen/paid for the ICD-10 or ASA crosswalk books, the new fee schedule is reasonable. It still makes my job $80 easier.

Complete scam. Abeo app was a great app and was a free app. Then the app froze stopped working and when you did the required update they started charging 79$/year. The actual ASA RVU hand copy book can be purchased for less than 30$/year. Abeo has definitely gotten too greedy. Would not recommend purchasing for a one time 79$ fee let alone a repeating annual fee.

Needs work. Every time this app updates, all of my favorites disappear. This is a terrible design flaw.

iPad not working. This is my billing company and I enjoyed this on my iPhone. The problem is that the new update does not work on my ipad. It just opens and then closes at disclaimer screen. Too bad as i was enjoying this. It would be n ice to recompile this for iPad as wll so it will fill the screen. It is too slow on my 3G iPhone.

Used to work great. I started having problems a couple of updates back. The most recent one however does not allow me to see the CPT codes, and that's all I needed this app for

AbeoCoder. Yep! That fixed it! Just delete app and reinstall...works GREAT after that...shout out to Ike and Arnold

POC. This could be a really useful app, if it were corrected and updated. Crashes, malfunctions, and misdirected searches are common. For some reason, the Urology CPT listings have disappeared, although they can sometimes be searched. Fix the bugs.

Pedanes. Great software, but missing many ASA RV codes (modifiers, blocks).

Not worth the price. The original free app was somewhat useful, but I still had to familiarize myself with key words in order to find accurate codes due to the poor search function. This process was tolerable as the app was free. I purchased a new phone which required re-downloading this app. As others have noted unless you spend $80 the CPT codes are not accessible. As there are better ICD-10 code apps out there I have no use for this product and therefore will be deleting this from my phone

Without warning disappeared. Reappeared for $79. Bye-bye.. I really appreciated using this app and came to depend on it in my workflow, including curating a long list of favorite CPT codes over the course of a couple years. Recently the app began crashing on opening, and it disappeared from the App Store. The Abeo site said there was some technical issue with the App Store, etc. Later the app was again available in the App Store. But now CPT codes (including all the favorites I've curated over the couple years of using this app) are no longer available unless I pay $79. This is essentially the same thing that "ransom-ware" does. To my knowledge this change happened without any warning or communication from Abeo Coder. Overall, I've appreciated utilizing this app, and I understand the need to make money off of one's work. However, the transition to a paid model was handled horribly and created problems with my personal workflow. Because of this and the jarring price tag for a previously free utility I will be deleting Abeo Coder from my device.

No longer works after last upgrade. Was a great app when it used to work. I have an iPhone 4, iOS version 7.1.2, and now when I try to open the app it immediately crashes every time. Very disappointing for something that used to work so well.

Once a great free app is now $79?!?. Prior to the newest range of updates and cost changes I used this app daily. I do not understand how a free app now requires $79/year out of the blue. Sadly I think I will be deleting this app due to the high cost :-/

Do not update!. This has been a great product until the recent update. It crashes seconds after opening. Please fix this!

Ok App. Ok app, doesn't really have anything you can't get with a one line Google search. Overpriced. Upgraded to new release and lost work and functionality. Never a good thing for an app when you wish you had the older version back.

Great. No problems... Just great codes!

Crashes. No CPT or ASA Codes. Newest version frequently crashes and can't access CPT or ASA codes. Only have access to the ICD codes. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no improvement.

Some small changes would make a big difference. The really useful part of this app is coding. The drug database is obsolete & should be scrapped. (The only pre-induction drug listed is chloral hydrate; I've never used it and never will. The first induction drug listed is Pentothal, which has been off the US market for a few years now.) What would really help this app function better is to improve matching and predictive text. Until you type in the name of a procedure perfectly/completely and hit search, you have no idea if there's a match. Moreover, it would be nice to be able to enter a partial word like "cystol" and be able to get a match like "cystolithalopaxy" in the search results. In my experience, nothing but a perfect match will yield a search result. It's painful to type out things like esophagogastroduodenoscopy and gastrojejunostomy. Thanks.

Free ---> Expensive. I used to rely on this free app to get my CPT codes for cases i've done. without warning the app now wants $80 per year for that. If you have an older version DO NOT UPDATE! I understand that the AMA is probably forcing them to charge this, but come on! The AMA should use my dues to pay for this. Forcing me to pay this much so I know what code to bill a procedure under is extortion. We have CPT code books in all the procure rooms but it's slow and painful to look them up like that all the time. If the books are readily available, why isn't there at least a pdf version available for a 1 time fee?

Great App that is Working Again. This is a great app and I'm glad it is working again! Nicely updated. Got rid of the drugs that weren't really helpful and focused on what makes the app great - CPT to ASA crosswalk. Really a helpful app that I use everyday. At first I was not happy with the price increase, but as others have said I guess the developer's costs went up. I think he should communicate that so people understand the reason.

Super useful initially, now ransomware. This app used to be my go to for CPT codes but recently it started crashing and not opening. There was no communication that this app would be changed to a pay for use app. I would give it a five initially but the company essentially turned this into ransomware.

Latest update broken. Crashes immediately upon opening!

Great app for anesthesia coding. Thorough and user friendly. Easy to keep handy. Would like the option to examine codes in numerical order for the times I know where it would be in the book but can't find the code with the current layout

Unable access cpt codes free. Previously could use cpt codes for free. Now I cannot. App is worthless as a free assistant to ortho resident

Second rate. Poor search engine and slow to respond. Doesn't drill down to desired CPT codes as it should when you type in a body part. Even though my group is a client, I hate it and use the AMA book instead.

Just delete and reinstall. It should work after that. Worked for me

Does not work well on ipad. Does not work in landscape mode. Loads in portrait mode with a landscape keyboard. Horrible. Missing lots of codes as well.

MD. App has been improved significantly, but still crashes occasionally. Still hard to search database for all clinical terms. Generally works at a very functional level and I find I use it frequently.

No help, doesn’t function, waste of $80. App used to function, then just stopped. Reloaded app, still doesn’t work. No IT support provided. No way to contact the company. Complete waste of money and time.

This program rocks!. It's free, and I'm able to search for the cpt codes that I need. I'll give it 5 stars if they can integrate ICD 9 diagnosis codes as well.
