New Update UI Changes are Unfortunate. IMDB is one of my favorite resources on my phone, and has been for years, but I wish the new update didn’t move the search feature from the top of the home page to its own tab. It is a weird amount of added friction for the part of the app I imagine most people are going to want to use upon opening. Making it so that you have to do two clicks—first on the bottom of the app, and then another at the top, to open a search bar is a bit of a pain. Maybe a nice compromise if y’all insist on the redesign would be that if we click the search tab at the bottom, it at least auto-opens the search bar itself when we click on it instead of having to click again? Just a thought. In the meantime, I have added the search widget to my homepage, but it’s kind of a shame to have to devote so much space on my Home Screen to make up for a UI change in app.

Fellow Movie Nerds. This app is for you. If you love movies the way I do then you need IMDb. You can search for all the movies you’re interested in and find a lot of new ones on the way. The latter of which occurs a lot, almost enough that it’s turned into a bad thing. But don’t worry if you don’t think you’ll be able to remember all the shows and movies you’re interested in, because IMDb has a watchlist. This watchlist was the worst and best thing that’s happened to me, because I have probably 60 and counting shows and movies on there. This watchlist keeps all the shows or movies you want to watch on hold, so you won’t forget about them, and will be able to watch them later (a lot later for me). The only bad thing about IMDb is that there are too many movies and tv shows thrown at me that I have to put on my watchlist, and that it’s average compared to other apps when talking about lagging, glitches, etc. Fellow movie nerds, get IMDb. P.S. I like the thing about Interstellar IMDb put on new notes, that movie is incredibly good and is my number two movie out of the 250+ I have watched (only behind Inception). P.S.S: #ChristopherNolanNumber1.

Simply the best movie database. I’ve been using IMDb for years, mostly in app form, and I consult it daily, if not many times a day. Except for some rare foreign, or old, not well known ones, the database is so complete. I love being able to search by title, actor, or any number of things. Being able to see when, who, what, etc. is a movie buff's dream. I have big books on movies, but this is so easy, so fast, and I get the answers I need. I use it as a personal reference - a movie Wikipedia. I look up to see if I’ve watched a film (memory problems), what I thought of it via my rating on my internal system, other films with an actor, stills, trailers, videos. Films like it, or related As I plan an evening's viewing, I refer to it several times. The ease of the interface is amazing! My favorite app.

Commercials with Commercials?. A preview for a film is a promotion to get audiences into theaters. A preview is already a type of commercial. Now I sit through commercials so I can see the commercials for the films and shows. This has been going on for quite a while now, so I very much doubt if it’s going to change. I just really feel like it’s going a bit too far and I hope it doesn’t go any further at this point. If the extra revenue is necessary, all I can say is that sometimes more isn’t necessarily better, sometimes it’s just more in my opinion. IMDB is still my go-to resource on the internet for accurate film entertainment information any time I need it. I’ve been using it for almost twenty years I think? There’s still no better site on the web for reliable film and television data and the application reflects that same reliability in my opinion. That’s my soul reason for still giving the application four stars for excellence.

AMAZING!!!. Everything about this show from the first episode until the very last was so thoroughly acted out and so intriguing! The sequence of the main relationships in the show was written in the script perfectlyyyyyyy. There wasn’t a moment when I sat back and thought, “they’re moving way too fast” or “this all feels so rushed.” I automatically knew the person who wrote this script was a woman because of how the characters were portrayed and how the intimate and vulnerable shots were filmed. Also, everything feels authentic and natural in the most beautiful way possible. Mostly everything was kinda out in the open and raw, which is what i loveedddddd about it. it’s so rare to find a show or film that has characters that are actually normal in a relatable way. Obviously not everyone is a prince that has to transfer to a different school but the emotions Wille showed us were all perfectly performed & understandable & relatable. I can’t even say everything that i’d like to say because i’d write an essay BUT I NEED A SEASON TWO!

Frustrating Horrible Redesign. I’ve tried hard but can’t anymore. The “second” recent redesign is too frustrating for me to bother with. I used to read the “News” daily or a couple times when bored and now I have to scroll 9 screen lengths past a ton of movie placements and “topics” I don’t care about just to get to the news section. I quickly got used to the search feature clicking on the bottom and then the text box being right above it - now it’s back on top. So click at the very bottom of the screen but the next thing you want to do, type the actual search, is not then a giant thumb reach to the top of the phone - last all of the “suggested”/paid placements. My two local theaters don’t even use a compatible source for IMDb ticketing. I’ll just use Google for my movie searches now. Maybe Google will direct me back now and again, or maybe not. I guess it depends who is paying Google to appear above IMDb in the results.

Broken and unusable filtering. When opening up an actor or producers page and tapping on “see all” or “full filmography” you’re presented a page of credits organized into bins that are presented in a long list. For the most popular or successful people, you have to scroll endlessly and attempt to find their “producer” or “actor” bins pushed so far below the fold by endless credits. This should be based on date not by role type. If someone has produced twenty films over a few years and directed one in a year you shouldn’t have to scroll through twenty producer credits to get to one director credit. Use case: Steven Spielberg - scroll endlessly to get to a director credit when he’s credited to hundreds of producer roles. BAD UX. It wasn’t always this way. Or maybe the ability to view the page in alternate filtering is so buried I’m naive. Also: bought and paid for reviews. It’s impossible that every single Marvel film gets 10/10 the first week and then immediately drops off by honest reviews EVERY SINGLE TIME. IMDB used to be honest and fair. Now it’s dominated by “bots.”

An Entertainment Essential. Throughout my life, I’ve only been a casual television and movie viewer. However, more recently, with the advancement of technology, I have gravitated more towards enjoying having so many choices at my fingertips. Therefore, it was beyond helpful to find a companion guide to navigate me towards the shows I wanted to see. With that said, IMDB has been all of that and more, in fact, I’ve become completely dependent on the app for suggestions, reviews and ratings. With the added benefit of having the ability to store my own opinions and make recommendations to others. Truthfully, IMDB is the internet for television and movies, as in depth as it is broad, I feel it’s an essential app for anyone wanting to be in the know for entertainment! I Love it!

Love this app but…. My husband and I use this app very often to look up movie stuff, mostly to try and prove the other wrong in something lol. I would go on the app every night to look at all the headlines for top news, movies, tv and celeb to see what’s going on. Lately there are soooo many articles it takes forever to scroll through them all to read the headlines and see if there is anything I would like to read up on. The problem is most of it is just repetitive headlines just from different sources. I honestly don’t go on and look anymore because it’s too much now. If it was all different story subjects I wouldn’t mind but seeing the same ones over and over and over and over again it just annoying. Wish there was a way that the headline shows once and when you click on it it will show all the different choices for sources for you to chose from. At least then it wouldn’t be so much to scroll through. Also what happened to being able to rate reviews on the app? Please bring that back.

The best entertainment app!. Am constantly using IMDb. When watching TV and movies I guess at what shows I have seen the actors and actress in, or if they are new I find out about them using IMDb. I use it for finding information on tv shows/movies like when and where they were made, well as trivia about the show/movie and the actors. Also if they’re remakes. I love trivia like this and IMDb gives me the answers I am looking for 99% of the time. IMDb also has an option to create an account. This lets me flag movies that I would like to see and IMDb let’s me know when moves will be in my area as well as the theaters, times and costs. IMDb lets me know about new TV programs, news about new and old programs, what’s popular and what’swhat’s coming going to be on new in the fall and spring times and dates. I think anybody with the love for movies and TV will a really enjoy this app. Major kudos to the inventors of this app! A fantastic job!

App is Good but needs improvements. I’m a lifelong IMDB fan, I have found myself going to this site almost everyday for the past near 10 years. That won’t change. The app is good and I do expect it to get better. I did have a recommendation, something that I find personally annoying. When watching trailers, it is hard to capture the time ticker with finger to rewind or fast forward, and also you have the screen set up to swipe to the next trailer and what is annoying is that if we don’t catch the ticker then it just swipes to the next trailer. I find myself having to go back repeatedly, wait for it to load then try to go back to where I was and it’s just a big hassle because the same thing happens over and over. I would recommend getting rid of the easy swipe to next trailer or at least give us an option to turn it off.

Impressed by last update, but still room for improvement.. I wrote this review a few versions back, but apparently never posted it, as I was prompted for a review now and this popped up. It’s still applicable, so I will submit it now... Thank you guys for making it so that we can view ALL the episodes of a show that a particular actor has been in! This is definitely one of my most used apps, but there is still room for improvement. You need to make the flow of the profiles more appealing. I liked it much better several versions ago. It flowed better down the page, like where the pictures were and the positions of all the links. Also, where is the feature that allows us to see when two people have worked with each other on a project?

Bring back controllable font size. I agree with CAQueen wholeheartedly. I rarely write reviews, but I felt I had to write about the recent change to a consistently tiny font size in users reviews. I love reading these to get a sense of a movie. However, it is now much more difficult in the latest app version. The font is no longer controlled by me, but is fixed to a size that is too small for me to read comfortably. Please revert this to the way it had been prior to this change. I (and my eyes) will be eternally thankful. Update: for version 8.3.1 (Dec 18) Thank you so very much! In only 8 short days you have corrected the problem and brought back the ability to have a larger font in the user reviews. I can now read them without eye strain. You don't know how happy I am to be able to read these again. IMDB is an invaluable app for me. I love movies. And your app helps me to appreciate them even more. Thanks again.

Ratings are ridiculous. I love movies, and i often base my potential viewing of more obscure (i am aware of most wide spread releases and usually avoid the majority) on a combination of the metascore and the user reviews of imdb. Sadly, the user reviews are horribly skewed by insane “10s” given by what are either really dumb people, or individuals that have something to gain by views of a particular film. How can imdb vet these people? I dont know, but i also don’t get paid to figure that out. I am confident that somebody does get paid for that and if not. Somebody should. I will not stop using the app only due to the fact that i am interested in both the trivia of a film and the usable information of past projects of actors. I am sure that i am not alone in this complaint. Imdb. Kindly clean up this shortcoming of an otherwise awesome app and website. A boom box can change the world.

Essential. Not only do I use this App for information on whatever film (or program) I am in need of, but often you can watch fantastic films, at no cost, and that is rad, especially if you're not able to leave the house fr whatever reason & want something different than the usual offerings. The most difficult aspect of this App is the deluge of info, and reading about the new sequel that I was not aware of, and this leads into a virtual plethora of clicking on new posts, leading to new premiers, and that turns into HOURS I am not complaining at all. I am so full of knowledge about film & such that being so aware of said topics allows one to inform any person that would unknowingly miss my banter during lunch or dinner with friends, thank you IMDb! I have so much to say about so many films, I am affectionately known as "The Movie Guru"!

Kinda Bad. If it weren’t for the fact that it is the only streaming service that has the show I’m looking for and offers it for free, I wouldn’t use it. I’ll leave the app for a minute and it will completely lose my spot in what I was watching. This is unfortunate especially considering the episodes are on the longer side so it can be hard to find my way back to where I was. Additionally, when I try to skip too far ahead in an episode after it has inevitably lost my place after I close the app for a second, it also tends to freeze up(yes I mean freeze, not buffer). As far as I know, this is not due too my connection as my internet is fine when using any other application. On several occasions, it has frozen when an ad is supposed to play. The ads are short and didn’t seem like a problem until I found myself constantly having to skip around looking for where I was after it loses my place; needless to say, this wasted a lot of time I’d rather be spending just enjoying the show. I appreciate the wide variety of shows offered here for free but the aforementioned problems really prevent me from enjoying it to the fullest.

The app design is breaking bad bigtime.. When you look at an actor’s page, the years of the movies/shows they’ve done are removed. When you look at a movie/show page some of the actor’s role names are removed. What’s up with that? All you‘ve really done is turn the app into something less useful than it was before, degraded it. I don’t understand why people do that, it’s just stupid. I’m sure there’s a reason behind IMDb’s app design breaking bad, I just wish I knew what it is, because you can’t go so wrong by accident. This bad design is by design but why? Crucial information removed from the pages (title’s year, actor’s role names), UI’s main function (search) removed from the main page. iOS has search box literally on each and every screen, I wonder now if it would be faster and easier to search IMDb from iOS search without opening the app first, or with 3D touch on the app icon. Now when I think about it, it must be. That still doesn’t bring back the missing info misteriously removed from the pages. Maybe the web interface proves itself better than the app.

Worthless waste of time.. After being taken on an infinite loop of pop-up registration pages, account registrations, and password resets, I finally got the app up and running. Next came the infinite loop of tapping unresponsive “play” buttons. When I was finally able to get the content to play, I received a “content restriction “ error message. Really? I’m 54 years old. I’m running the latest version of iOS, and have no trouble running any other streaming services on my phone or to my TV via Airplay. Can’t see how this app got the rating it did after I wasted an hour with this worthless app only to have it fail over and over and over and over... This app is not yet ready for prime time.

Attention grabber from the very first episode!. I was looking for something to watch. I felt like I had already watched every series worth watching from the 80’s, 90’s through today. I saw the previews for this and thought it looked rather interesting but I was still Leary so I waited and tried to start a few other shows with no luck catching my attention. I decided I would give it a chance. Well, it’s a new day and the season is about over! Since it’s new, there is only 1 season 🥺. I hope so much they keep making season after season after season!! It’s not one of those cheesy SYFY shows either. It is very realistic to what the future will probably be like in another 50 to 100 years (like FTL shuttles etc.). To wrap this up with a short summary, terrific show! One to definitely recommend! Enjoy!!

No subtitles for trailers for hearing impaired. Very angry that subtitles aren’t available for trailers played in the IMDb app, when ADA laws require that streaming apps that play videos have the option to display subtitles. Of course IMDb has made it so there’s no way to contact them, it just directs you to the community forum, which has tens of thousands of posts just related to adding subtitles, going back years! So obviously IMDb doesn’t care about those of us who are hearing impaired, and they ACTIVELY choose to not follow ADA laws. I am so disgusted with IMDb and I hope they change their viewpoint to help those of us with disabilities, as we are largely forgotten or thought of as “less than, not important, etc”, and add subtitles. Also, many people who aren’t hearing impaired like to have subtitles so they want it added as well. Maybe if enough people who aren’t hearing impaired write negative reviews and say they want subtitles, then IMDb will add them, because there have been thousands of posts by those of us who are deaf or hard of hearing and they couldn’t care less about us.

Horrible streaming platform. Just the worst.. Every part of your streaming service for movies and TV shows is awful. You should be able to pause it then come back and have it actually start from where you left it off. Not make me watch 5 minutes of commercials then start the whole show over again. It’s slow to load, too many commercials, and just looks awful. I’m not talking about picture quality either, I’m talking about the layout. It’s like you took as little time and effort as possible to put this thing together. You’re the only place I can freely stream one of my favorite TV shows - Fringe - and it’s getting to the point where I’d rather just not watch the show than deal with your horrible app. It’s seriously awful. I’d rather spend the day at the DMV then try to use your app to watch a show. I’d rather call my mother than use your app to watch a movie. Judging by the quality of your app I’d say you don’t have the highest quality employees so I’ll just put it in a way you will have an easier time understanding: YOUR APP=BAD. APP IS BIG BAD. NO NO GOOD. MAKE BETTER. MAKE APP WORK GOOD.

This app could be amazing if it wanted to. The information here on IMDb is absolutely essential these days when watching almost anything. Being able to look up the names of factors, and figure out where we’ve seen them before, or where some thing was filmed, or any of that is really pretty great. My complaint is that, it could be much better organized, would love to see it integrated with rotten tomatoes, as well as some very annoying interface issues like the title of a film, never displaying completely, and not having the option for landscape viewing. It just feels a little sloppy and unruly and I’m certain I’m not the first person to suggest that they fix some of these interface issues. Honestly? It is such an essential database that I would be more than happy to even pay an annual fee for the app if they could just clean it up a bit more.

Fantastic app to track movies and shows & view ratings. I love the many functions on this app! I use the add to watch list function to create a running list of things I want to watch. It’s great because you can view your entire list but it also puts it into categories (tv, movies, etc), so you don’t have to filter through your whole list. I only remove things from my list once I’ve completely watched every season and the show is over so I don’t forget what season I’m on. I make sure I rate any movies or shows I watch as it’s a good way to remember if I’ve watched it before. Four years later I’m not going to remember if I watched a mediocre movie unless I rated it. I can see I rated it by searching the movie on IMDb or they also have a “your rated movies and shows list.” I also use my rated list to give people recommendations. I use the app a lot for movie trailers and overall ratings. I also use it for tv show and movie suggestions based on what’s popular. Now they even have free streaming content! Fantastic app!

Your go-to place for movie info. I keep IMDB’s thumbnail on my iPad’s hotlist because as I surf the streaming channels, I want the ability to get an instant, accurate assessment of a movie I am considering. IMDB carries reviews from the gamut of professionals, along with viewer-submitted reviews that are sometimes are perceptive as the pros, or more. This channel is rich enough in content, a film buff could spend hours within its confines, running trailers, reading reviews, following the careers of actors and directors. In the US film making community, the Pro version of IMDB is a must-have resource. We civilians do not require the pro version’s detail. The regular version will tell you all you need to know about any English-speaking film you can think of, as well as where to watch it. All in one free app. It’s like a gift from the film gods.

Moviegoer Must. Outstanding app that allows you to review movies and their credits from old to new. I especially like reviewing the autobiographies of cast members which include actors, directors, writers, and producers alike. The associated photo galleries are fun to scroll through as well. The trivia notes associated with each movie production are also so very interesting. Truthfully there are so many neat features that this app offers that I really can spend the time to describe them all. In fact, I am certain that there are many functions that I’m not even aware of and I use this app everyday because I love all genres of movies and I find it fun to explore all aspects of their production. They also offer free movies and TV programs for streaming which is a real bonus for me. For me personally it is the most entertaining, informational, and educational app that I have ever used!

Love the info, hate the search feature. Okay, so, iOS devices all have search bars at the top (albeit, after pulling down). We are used to it. And we are used to having a cursor in the search bar, ready to go. Now you’ve gotten rid of the search bar on the main page (searching, of course, is probably at least 85% of the reason users have the app), moved the search feature to a button tap way at the bottom, but with the search bar itself being back at the top. I know we are to “touch search again to pull up the keyboard,” but it is seriously clunky. If I touched search, it should be obvious I am trying to type my query. Since this specific app is for iOS, why not match the gestures of the operating system and have users pull down on the home page to open search *with a keyboard up? Would be such a streamlined search to appease the iPhone crowd, and the home page and its articles would still be present to those browsing. IMDB is my go-to service for movies and celebrity info, but every time I open the app makes me regret it. Please change it!

Stop letting stupid people add trivia. I miss the early days of IMDB when it was run and only run by those who worked at IMDb or in the entertainment business. Instead you decided to open it up to anyone who signs up and allowed them to add trivia items that are quite literally trivial. The trivia of IMDb used to be my favorite part of the site. Behind the scenes tidbits that enhanced what I was watching. Now? It’s either inane tidbits, inaccurate one liners, grasps at any kind of connection, made up crap to say they got something approved, plot spoilers in the wrong location (you know instead of actually going into the spoiler section), notes by people who were obviously not born when the movie/tv show came out and therefore do not get that for their time was the norm, or just plain stupid. I’ve seen everything from people being offended at old 1930’s movies because they didn’t realize that movies were made then and it was a different era to such things a character name in an episode vaguely resembling a previous character name in an episode that aired two years prior. Why are these things approved? Want to make it “social” or interactive? Create a message board or Game Center and leave the actual trivia and fact section to the pros. (Which reminds me, double check your facts on stars as I keep finding inaccurate ‘facts’ on dates of birth, birth/death locations and more. The only thing this site is good for anymore is finding out who’s in the cast.

Terrible since the recent 2019 changes.. The recent changes in 2019 are terrible. I have an I Phone 8 and now there is garbage and pop up videos all over my IMDB screens. I can’t even access my “ history” easily. I have to click multiple times in search. There is no menu. When I do finally get my history I only get about 10 movies listed. Please someone FIX THIS! My husband has an I Phone 10 and his phone isn’t like this. He gets a menu where he can click history and then he gets his entire viewing history. I can’t get anything easily except a bunch of junk the clutters my screen. Prior to your changes I would have given this app a 5. Now it’s a 1 or lower. I’m going to quit using this if there isn’t a fix. My phone is not ancient. This was a wonderful app before. Now it’s annoying.

Must have app. I don’t like the changes to the app layout. Seems to change in some small but unhelpful way on a semi-regular basis, so I always run the oldest version possible… I never update this app, but I did by accident today, and I immediately regretted it. the text entry field in search had been moved from the bottom of the screen to the top. Small gripe, but I prefer it at the bottom. Safari is taking this approach in iPadOS 15 right? Maybe go back to that? Makes typing faster. Also some UI elements could be laid out better (more densely?) so best info is visible on the top half of the app. I didn’t have to scroll down to see the review scores before this update. That changed too. Changes… I don’t enjoy so much, but the app, still gets used daily.

Been using IMDB since the beginning of time but..... Excellent app, I use it daily, and always on the fly for a quick search. However with the last update you made the default load page not ‘Search’ but ‘Home’. This is a huge problem for me. First, the ‘Home’ page by design is cool, but because it’s loading content it’s slower to load. Instinctively I expect the home page to have a search bar but it doesn’t. So by the time the page loads I realize I have to manually click the ‘Search’ option in the lower bar. While this isn’t a huge problem, it adds the extra step of me having to having to click the search icon, which is counter-intuitive. This wasn’t the design in all previous IMDB updates, why the change now? This would be a 5 star review but because of the un-intuitive design I’m giving it 3. Not going to lie, I’ve used IMDB less and Google more for quick searches. Please either allow for a ‘Default’ setting where the user can choose what loads on startup or put a search bar on the ‘Home’ page. Even the latter, quick searches mean fast results, and having to wait for a ‘Home’ page to load and cache content every time I start the app doesn’t allow for rapid results.

Love it!. I use this app ALL THE TIME. If I’m watching something on TV, recognize someone but not sure from what, I’ll whip out my phone and look up the actor. After a trip to the theater, over dinner with my mom, we go down a rabbit hole, oh look, she was also in that movie with so-and-so. I like the way it suggests other films I might enjoy. I was going to complain about one little thing, but I updated my app a few minutes ago, and my complaint is no longer valid! (Cast names were limited to two lines of text, which sometimes meant the character name was cut off. But now they’re showing again!) I like the idea that I can watch some content for free, I just wish the app supported ChromeCast so I could watch it on something larger than my phone.

Good, bad, & ugly.. // GOOD: — hands down, this app provides access to the largest and most thorough database of media information known to man — regarding said information, its integration and linking is superb; app flows very well; no lag — landscape support for tablets — able to set preferred streaming services and then filter any watchlist with those preferences (helps to find where to watch a title) — able to create and manage personal (or public) lists — keyboard is activated by tapping “Search”; this eliminates the need to tap the search field (it’s a small, but nice perk) // BAD: — no multitasking support or split screen support for tablets — no uniform way to mark, view and manage “not interested” titles — no way to report bugs or provide feedback within the app — regarding the newer streaming preferences format, there is no way to see how many titles in your watchlist are available with each provider; the old interface provided this and it helped deciding which streaming service to subscribe to next — watch options or streaming filter is missing Disney+ titles — hamburger or three-dot menus are outdated; more swipe gesture options needed — this app is aching for a bonafide series tracker so that its users can monitor their progress on various series; this app provides no such tool; I’m pretty critical about this app and it not providing a series tracking capability; without it, I will always have the need for a supplemental app

Y IMDb?. Because, it is a one stop shop for all things cinematic. It is my favorite source (BEYOND Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, ect.) for professional and non professional reviews, overviews, random facts, technical specs, movie news, upcoming films, and an over all sense of community amongst cinephiles. It accepts contributions from professional and non professional reviewers as well as trivia facts which is then checked and approved by people hired to review the individual submissions. I enjoy how the program makes it possible to not only express individual opinions of all films and television shows, but also provides a place to increase their knowledge of film and get suggestions of other films they may not have found on their own. I trust the IMDb score over other media reporting because it is a collective intake of people who are fascinated and appreciative of the craft of film making and are interested enough to take the time and express their opinions. It’s worth having for anyone intrigued by the art of film.

Completely user unfriendly on every level now. I can no longer rely in any way on the principle reason I became a member of IMDB. I found it extremely useful many years back, and informative in researching facts on motion pictures, television series , actors, directors etc. etc. Now all of that detail is cut off completely via iOS Safari mobile access in favor of a crappy, piece meal, substandard, user unfriendly mobile site with no longer any way to access the full desktop version of IMDB - if indeed that even still exists in the reasonably thorough and succinct format it always had. I was outraged with these brain dead idiots in charge of IMDB when they dumped all the user comment forums for every actor, director, movie, television series, etc. etc. etc. a few years back. l found the maneuver absolutely despicable, and extremely irresponsible. Clearly a bunch of self serving, infantile, stupid to the inth degree morons have gotten their filthy rotten, brain dead empowered hands on this site. I am fed up, and will no longer subject myself to such underhanded, childish, self serving manipulations. You people can go stuff it as far as I am concerned!

I love the app.... Edit: Thanks to the devs for responding to the issue. It's either stopped or you fixed it! I love the app! It's helpful and I use it a lot! **previous review** Recently there has been an invisible ad that pops up when I search for something. I don't have a problem with ads if it keeps the app free, my issue is that I can't click on anything while it's there. Example: I open the app and search for a title, on the search page an empty see-through box appears. If you try to click on something behind/within the box it goes to a video ad. There's no other way around it. I'm not sure if it's on purpose - again I don't mind ads to keep the app free - but it's a little intrusive in that I can't get around it. If it is on purpose, like I need to watch it before continuing, then the feature needs a tune up. The only way to get around it is to close the app entirely and go back in and start over. Otherwise I love the app, use it a lot, it's very helpful and in my opinion the app is even better than the actual website.

Only the Best thing Ever. I’ve been using IMDb since before smart phones were popular. It’s the most inclusive cache of movie knowledge on the planet. The amount of time I end up spending on this website/app is ridiculous because I just get sucked in! You look up a movie to see who was in it, then you start looking at all the other stuff Willam Dafoe is in, next thing you know you are reading trivia facts about Stanley Kubrick. It’s a rabbit hole but the best kind! Any dispute you have with your friends about what year a movie was or who the director was, will be instantly solved by a quick IMDb search. I don’t think this service even needs to be reviewed since it should be apparent to everyone how useful it is! Truly a ground breaking database! Great job guys!

Unable to add to my WatchList...?. I’m not sure what the issue is, but I’m not able to add any more movies, TV shows, etc. to my WatchList...? Every time I attempt to add anything to my WatchList, this insanely long error message pops up, basically saying I’m unable to add items at this time...? The odd thing is, that I went on the Website and tried adding from a “separate” account, i.e. different email address, and I didn’t have a problem; however, when I signed back in with my original account, i.e. my primary email address, it wouldn’t allow me to add anything to my original WatchList, again... So, I’m not sure what the problem is, I’ve never had anything but positive experiences with the IMDb App, and I’ve been using IMDb from the beginning... I’m a longtime, frequent IMDb user, and I’m becoming concerned because I don’t want, nor do I have the kind of time to completely redo my IMDb account. I don’t want to lose everything I’ve saved, added, etc... Please help... ☹️😥🤯🥵

Unfortunate. I’ve long looked to IMDB for most, if not all of my pop culture news... and unfortunately with the last update I’m forced to use google news instead... The news topic list drones on without a seeming end and in order for me to switch topics (Top, Movies, Tv, Celeb) I either have to scroll all the way back to the top or I have to back out of the news and then open it again and switch. There was a similar issue a few updates back but it was resolved. It’s too clunky now and really like it if they streamlined it again. Until then I’m left giving it a 3 star review... 😞 (Update: I had known about tapping the top of the screen, as I said it’s just a clunky design. Before the update, the topics were at the top and immediately accessible for switching with just a tap. It just felt more streamlined. I am understanding of change and I accept it freely, especially when it makes things easier and functions better. I’m a big fan of the bug fixes that were addressed like when the app would restart as I was changing back and forth between this and other apps. Or when it would close the page I was on when my screen would lock.... Those fixes were great, and I thank you for them.)

APP CRASHES. I love this app but only within the last month it has been crashing consistently on my iPhone X. My phone is only 2 years old and doesn’t have similar trouble/problems with any other applications. The problem only arises when I use the IMDb app too long doing deeper searches of movies and TV shows. For example, I would search a movie and then click on the director’s name and then see what else he/she has made. Then continuously go on further from there looking up other people until the app can’t process all the info and starts to slow down, lag and heat up my phone. The brightness on my screen increases along with a message popping up saying “Zoom Enabled”. I pray that I am NOT the only person with this problem. I love movies and tv shows, so IMDb is my app to go to.

IMDB Reviews Unpublished To Help a Show’s Rating Apparently. I am a fairly frequent published reviewer on this site and have a bone to pick regarding a recent review of the show “The Resort.” I wrote a non-profane commentary/review and gave it a 1-star rating and after almost two weeks, it has not appeared on this show’s IMDB page. I also noted that there is now only one 1-star review still on the site when I recall that there were multiple 1-star ratings previously. Obviously, there is something rotten in the State of Denmark regarding IMDB User Reviews and someone connected to this show has skewed the show’s ratings. Now there is only one rating showing that is less than 7/10. The show “The Resort” is yet another profane piece of trash masquerading as comedy - in the first two minutes of the show’s premiere episode, one of the main cast members shouts and drops the old “f”bomb. Classy.

Please help me so that I can watch movies on IMBD!!!. I love the IMBD website. I use it all the time! My only issue is that I would like to use your feature to watch movies and I meet the criteria outlined on your website to have access to this feature, however, I have not been able to use it. Whenever I try I'm told I'm not using a supported device. I have an iPhone 7, a 2017 UHD Samsung TV, a 3rd generation iPad, and an approximately 2012 ASUS tablet. Granted they are not the most up-to-date devices, yet, none of my devices work. It is possible that I'm doing something wrong, however, I've been unable to use your feature even though I meet the requirements as I understand them. Please provide instructions so that I and other IMBD loyalists can use your wonderful feature. I would appreciate it very much! Thank you very much for your attention to this matter!

Changed my relationship with media. I was a child of the 70s and 80s when men were actors, women were actresses, and my mom might say “That guy looks familiar. Where do we know that that person from?” There might be a shrug, a look of acknowledgement, and that would be the extent of the conversation. Since my wife and I discovered IMDB a decade ago, we don’t wonder anymore. We take great delight in rushing to our phones to find all the previous roles a familiar person was in… why we know them, what they were famous for, their first role, if they were ever on Adam-12, who they acted with, you name it. It also leads us to watch stuff we might never have considered and find look alike actors—male and female—from different generations. I love having IMDB on my phone.

Terrible update. I’ve been using the IMDB app for years. It used to be great but now it’s just frustrating. For example, I wanted to find the top box office numbers for the week. Can’t find it. I want to check movie news and now I have to keep scrolling down past stuff I don’t wanna see. Previous versions, you would tap “movies” and then check out whatever you wanted. Now it’s like pulling teeth. Been stressfully exploring the app now for a half hour. I still don’t know the box office numbers for this week. It is still fairly easy to find a movie. Search option is now down on the bottom. Click that and a search bar appears at the top. Kind of annoying but it’s fine. The “What To Watch” and “Top Picks” is a huge waste of time. The top picks we’re Saving Private Ryan, Up, and the 24 tv show movie from 11 years ago. Please bring back some of the past options and make it more user friendly. The app was very focused before. Now it’s all over the place and filled with fluff I don’t want to see.

I’ve give five stars if it had just one small feature. I love this app! I am a list person and I love how easy it is to create lists. Add shows/movies to a watch list. Move shows from one list to another. The one thing I wish devs would add to this app is under the tv shows episodes. It would be nice if it the show was in my watch list - I could go in and click each episode I’ve watched and it show with a check mark or change the background color of the episode- something. I know you can add individual episodes to a list… but I have 100 plus shows on some of my lists and I don’t want to create a separate list for each show… just let me mark off individual episodes PLEASE- even better if it would some how link to my entertainment apps to have it auto mark off. 😍

Not what it once was. At this stage, in 2022, no one expects an entity like IMDB to be quite what it was when it began: an information repository used mostly the industry, scholars and major film fans. That said… it has since become cluttered with the same common-level, attention-demanding crap that is the main diet of every commercial site. Yes, I expect to find trailers and featurettes here, but just put ‘em in a list; believe me, I’m smart enough to find them! The homegrown content consisting of vapid, moments-long “interviews” and blurbs is just so boring and exactly the same as Entertainment Tonight etc. I mean.. why? I’ve always used IMDB as a reliable database and for news stories. Well, the news sections are corrupted by topics that have zero to do with its category, mainly the inclusion of political content and product reviews. Gone are the days when “Movie News” showed only those stories about… um… movies. There’s no quality control here. Once all the “hey, look at this!” stuff took over the top half of the site and the news got pushed way down below the “if you like those movies…” and birthdays sections, it was over. I now use IMDB grudgingly: find what I need, then I’m out. I can find all the other dumb content it offers literally anywhere else.

Recent disappointment. Before I just re installed it on my phone I would have given it 5 stars. Now??? I'm very sorry to knock my rating down to a 3. Just the other day, I deleted a bunch of apps because I'm running out of memory on my iPhone. I really missed IMBD! So tonight I uploaded it again. It couldn't look more different. It looks like a full web page instead of what most apps look like; a manageable size and construction for an iPhone. (I have a decent sized screen, too. It's an iPhone 6s+.) The words are too small for me to see and I'm unable to view the whole page at once and must move it around in order to see only part of the page at a time. I sure hope you have a suggestion for me. I loved looking and searching and learning about movies, tv shows and celebrities. Now I doubt I can use it. Is there any way you can revert this to the previous set up?

thank you and please. We used to have a giant book of movies with ratings now IMDB is all that and more. This app is a wonderful resource of all things movies as well as an outlet for fans. Thank you. My only complaint is the inability save a written review to work on later or at the least automatically save my draft. I have lost some of my best written reviews because my phone rang or because I wanted to look up a word . Technically my phone should save the page or I could remember to write elsewhere and then cut an paste my reviews ,but that's a a repeated fail on my part. This app could have it all. A link or even option to watch some of the more obscure films would make it complete. Please consider an auto-save on drafts option , it would be so appreciated.

The BEST APP EVER!. I use the IMDB Every Day, normally SEVERAL times a day! The only other App that even comes close is my Bible apps! The amount of information available at the tip of my fingers is Outstanding! The only thing I wish The owners the IMDB app would bring back is the ability to note “Goofs”! I love the ability to note “Trivia” is Great but I sure do miss reading the goofs that people were able to notice and comment on. I wish y’all would consider bringing that one little feature back. Other than that, it’s amazing how much information that’s stored and available to us free of charge! I frequently ask other people who don’t have the IMDB on their Smartphone one simple question: “WHY?” On a side note, when the window popped up in the app asking me to rate IMBD, I gave you the highest available star, but when I went to write my comments, the message line on the “Write a Review” section of the review said to “Tap a Star to Rate”. They just can’t stop messing with a good thing!. Wow! You guys at IMDb just can’t help screwing up this app can you? The developers obviously aren’t film lovers or at least don’t do much film research. I’ve barely, but begrudgingly, gotten used to the user ‘unfriendly’ search bar they devilishly concocted at the end of last year and now, as of today’s update they’ve decided, for no apparent reason that I can see, to put the artists credits under separate tabs for acting, writing, directing, etc. So we can’t run down the list to check an artists multiple credits, but have to go back and forth, and back and forth, and (you get the idea) .... between tabs. Maybe consider hiring developers who know something about film research???? I’ve used IMDb for at least 15 years and probably 20 years. As film lover and reviewer IMDb is indispensable to me. Please stop making it harder to use.

There’s no way to pause or stop a video once you start it!. This is so horribly irritating! Why did you take all the transport controls, especially the pause button, away from videos (trailers, etc.)? I had to quit the app, and I was ready to delete it from my iPad after this. This is not the only time it happened, either. Also, as everyone else is complaining about, changing the search button to the bottom of the page but making us go back up to the top and tapping on the search bar, when it’s obvious that’s what we want to do when we tap on the search button at the bottom of the screen, is horrible! Another terrible thing that other people are also complaining about is the fact that there is no more back button and there never was a forward button. Please add those.

Newest Update. I loved the app up until this new feature was added. When clicking on shows I want to watch and checking the seasons and the episode ratings I get this massive screencap for each episode shoved in my face and it just leaves me open to spoilers and the ability to infer things about what’s going to happen through these photos. Definitely hope that feature is going to be getting rid of soon.

Modern producers should watch these classic. To the reviewer who’s title was “four tears”. You’re an ignorant philistine. Dated to you maybe but this was an era where script, sensitivity and character if not characters in this case, constituted the premise for a movie instead of the mindless violence, noise and filth that passes for entertainment these days that philistines prefer. Maybe there’re just too many philistines. This time capsule is worthy of the status other reviewers have bestowed. Great time capsule. The art is in our minds.

Great place to look at reviews. I personally like to use this app to write reviews myself. sometimes the occasion comes across when there is a new movie for rent/purchase that I’m unsure of watching. so I use this app to look that movie/show up and look at the reviews along with its rating, I personally won’t give a movie/show a shot if it’s anything under 7/10 as I don’t wish to waste my money when I earn so little.

Please fix the menu function from auto-playing. The recent iPhone version has changed behaviour of the menu (3 little dots) for each video on the main home page feed. It used to open a menu all the time so you could save to watch later. Now it seems like they are testing something where 50% of the time it starts autoplaying the video, and then you have save for watch later This is extremely annoying for those (like me) who want to browse the feed, and quickly save to watch later anything interesting ‘without’ playing any videos. Please make this a setting you can choose either option if you insist in autoplaying so it can be turned off.

I can’t even watch it what is wrong with you guys & girls let alone I cannot even buy the movie about “””a cry in the dark”””....so I am truly truly very disappointed as I would like to see the movie “”””a cry in the dark “”” or down stream it but nothing is available to me so why doesn’t you tube or Apple iTunes movies sell it????because i have been buying movies from Apple ITunes!!!! Why the ads now?. This is the greatest app ever! I’ve been using it for years. But just recently in the latest update there has been ads all over it! I know it’s a free app and they put ads in to support the app, but why now? And why do all the ads look like cheap Mail where? You could put the ads in a better place then just scattered all around the site! A banner on top of the page is all you need. Not the same banner place 3 times every time you scroll down. The ads don’t bother me it’s just the positioning of them, it looks cheap and unprofessional!

Golden Oldies!. Love being able to look up information and trivia behind old films. The fore-runner of modern films these actors and actresses had to use lighting and character acting to get their moods across. No heavy special effects, unless a ghost floating around the background all these stars have left their mark.

LOVE IMDB + a suggestion from an avid user. I’m a MOVIE LOVER and this is a great app - I always use the app to scan movies with my gf and it helps us find exactly the movie we’re in the mood for. I have ONE suggestion to include: if there was a feature where you could message people who have made reviews on movies: I read one review and he worded his opinion so insightfully and I was interested to discuss his perspective on the movie (which I had also seen). Almost like making a ‘bookclub’ style feature, where you can discuss movie thoughts. Maybe that’s just reddit lol

Like everything :(. “Used” to be the most reliable app to get information add free and no dramas. Of course it’s come to a end and the app will slowly die now cause of “greed” I know you all get paid depending on the amount of people using app so I hope it works out for yous. Masterpiece!. 85% of these reviewers don't understand the film. 72% of statistics are made up. Anyway, do yourself a favour and go and see it. If you can't work out what it's about, and just think it's a crazy mess with no plot, I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to take you by the hand and explain it to you. Bless.

Good app for users, not for contributors. It’s a good enough app for anonymous browsing. The problem is as an IMDB user account holder, it makes you log in all over again after updating, and moreover the iPhone fingerprint ID doesn’t work at all. In addition, I’ve made countless contributions to IMDB database over the years which go completely unappreciated. Most of them have been deleted without any notice why, and the rest don’t even show up against my account, although I have email evidence I submitted them. As a platform for user contribution it’s really the worst I’ve ever used.

Add to where you know them from. Fantastic app. Have a suggestion when going into the actors add to the bit where is says where you might know them from and say what character they play in the show or movie. I don’t really want to scroll through all their past history to get to the character that they played.

Problem to report. Any other way takes 1,000 unnecessary steps to simply report a problem.. The IMDB App/Website incorrectly stated that the tv show StartUp has all 3 seasons available for streaming on Prime, when in fact the show isn’t even available at ALL on Prime??? Not in Australia, not in the US, not anywhere, and there’s literally no where else to report this. The developer website has no information. You click another thing to try to report the issue but it takes you through 1,000 steps and then to create an account which is ridiculous! 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ We’re trying to let you know there’s an issue to fix why would you make that so incredibly difficult and inconvenient for everyone that’s just trying to alert you and help?

Not a fan. Everyone is like "wow this is a great app!" While me, I didn't have the best experience. I thought the movies would be free! But it turns out that I had to pay money to watch it. I waited until the trailers ended because I thought that the movie would come after the trailer. But guess what! THERE WAS ANOTHER TRAILER AFTER THAT ONE! Other than that, it's a good app. It tells you all of the movies coming soon and it tells you the actors as well! I just have no idea on how to watch a movie...

This review has this tithe because a movie is something you need ... and sometimes a want , with such busy lives it’s important to have break , relax , escape , laugh , cry or be inspired. And when your thinking of what’s that’s actors name ? ... or what was the guy in again ? .... IMBD has it ! Or question wonder what the budget is ... imbd has it ! .... or what’s it rated ... what’s coming up ... what did a movie gross ... what else did that great producer create .... it’s all here & we love checking in , a great app to use even before google when thinking of movies / tv & actors / actress. Very easy to read & use as well !

Who is J.C. Mackenzie?. Who is J.C. Mackenzie when he's at home? The actor is older than the woman casted to play his mother. Looks weird why is he in this? The kids look like his grandchildren; the wife is hot I don't see it. Gabrial is gorgeous the only reason why I'd persevere with the show. Why are teen girls garbage to each other? It's tired, writers should make more of an effort. I've noticed there are more lesbian characters is Sci-fi than gay guys, is it because sci-fi is considered a boys domain & girls the realm of the supernatural/ fantasy? Just an observation. If the dad didn't look like a healthy dude in his late 70's I'd enjoy it more or they should've cast an age appropriate wife. It's too distracting.

Careful High data use!! Beware!. I came here to advise this ap chees through data. But it seems I'd already said that previously- this month - I've used the ap maybe 4 times, watched maybe 5 previews- and it's used a massive 2.3 gigs of data?! And remember kids it's "not a streaming service" - that's the equivalent of about 1.5hrs worth of a movie, no chance I watched 90mins of previews- fix it! Unlimited phone data plans don't exist in Australia. I watched about 20mins of previews today, to find later it had consumed 1.5GIGS!!! Of my data!!! Didn’t even watch all of each 2min vid- which may also be an issue, either way, it couldn’t have been more 15 that I scrolled past. 1.5gigs! That’s half my monthly data allocation!

Limited filtering options. In most respects this is a great app. It has one major flaw though - whilst you can select favourite cinemas you can’t use that as a filter criteria. Let’s face it certain cinemas select different types of films. If your tastes align to those cinemas it doesn’t really matter what the distance is to you, you’re only going to consider those select cinemas most of the time.

Auto play issue. Solid app, although I cannot use when streaming media from my phone as the app auto plays video that stops what I am trying to watch on my television. As I only use the app whilst watching something, this renders it useless. An option to not auto play would be appreciated.

Hard to navigate. I find the website easier to use and I’m hoping with the new updates this will be a bit more user-friendly. Often has ad but that’s the least of my issues. Biggest thing it just is difficult to navigate. It does have a lot of information that I find interesting but it does take a while to find exactly what you’re looking for specifically

My Constant Go To. IMDB is the one stop place for all info regarding all actors, actresses, movies, TV shows, Docos and the like. Its full of good, reliable information, always up to date and I can even find the most unusual films from all around the world.

Greg App for the Movie and T.V lovers. This is an awesome app the trivia and foods are fun to read. It has also settle allllllooottt of arguments and 99% of the time proving me right of course. If you like to find out more about a show or movie a lot more than what you see on the screen this is an awesome app for you.

Duplicates in the lists. I love this app. However, there’s a bug when adding to lists. I created a list to include all the movies I have watched. I see you can enter the same movie to the same list multiple times. There is no search option also if someone wants to check in the list. Please fix this, it will be handy.

Consistency... This app is really useful to me, but there’s some things that I wish were better. The ‘checked in’ feature is nice, but very hidden, and adding another button next to the ‘add to watchlist’ would be better. Also whenever I write notes for a movie, the notes only appear in the list I wrote them in. Please try and change these, because it would be really helpful!! Great app, just some minor issues. Thanks.

JoJo Rabbit. An enjoyable satire with many laughs and also some poignant moments dealing with the horrors and futility of the reasons countries go to war and the success of propaganda juggernauts. Does it deal with the morality of genocide? No it doesn’t, but nor does it profess to. Perhaps it misses some potential marks here that it could have scored, but none the less we enjoyed the film.

A flaw in the new version - updated review. I’ve always loved this app. It’s simply better than using a browser, for most things, but you can still access the browser view of things. One step backwards in this version is the way the search operates. It used to be a single click approach: tap on the search bar then type. Now it’s two clicks: tap the search icon at the bottom of the screen, tap the search bar at the top of the screen, then start typing. I know it’s a single extra tap, but it feels like more work, especially as the search button and the search bar are at opposite sides of the screen. From a user efficiency POV, this is a step backwards. UPDATE: I have since discovered that tapping the search button a second time causes they keyboard to activate, so I don’t have to click in the search edit.

The go-to movie database.. Well constructed, easy to use. Kept up to date, it’s a great source of movie info. My only wishlist feature would be the ability to enter multiple actors names and have it return movies and shows in which those actors had appeared together. The data is there so I can’t see it being a huge issue to program. IMDB - do you read these reviews? 😊

Love this app. I use this app all the time to flag movies and shows to watch in the future and to find films to view. It would be even better if it incorporated the streaming services that have the movies I wish to watch.

MrW. If I’m not accidentally mistaken used to be able to get ‘notifications’ when and once IMDB app has been installed and it would immediately pop up ‘allow notifications’. Not knowing I wonder if the ‘notifications’ have been or are discontinued and might not be and are no more??

Barbie. Honestly it definitely wasn’t what I expected which I loved that it had such so many messages that reflected upon reality, I loved the fun and that there is nothing else like it! Huge congratulations to all the Actors and Greta and the rest of the crew for creating a phenomenon.

Fantastic App, but change the search function back.. Great app for all your movie/tv show information needs. I dislike the new search function though. What was simple, is now difficult and has unnecessary extra things that weren’t needed.

Great app for logging watch history. I like that with the IMDb app you can track your watched and watchlist history for all media, not exclusively just films or tv series etc like other apps limit. Very useful for personal use, especially because you can make lists and sort your media.

Awful interface. Latency issues are assured.. Is 229 mbps not enough bandwith to spur this app to complete a search request? Apparently not. The app has suffered alzheimers like latency since the beginning. I appreciate its consistency in that regard. It smooths your expectations. In contrast, Safari gives an instantaneous search result to my film inquiries. And when you get their the ADHD vomit culture design of each page reminds you, the trip was not worth starting.

Bring back the discussions. I used to like this app, and was using it pretty much every day, but now it’s just plain boring. After the discussions were removed, there is nothing else to look at apart from the pure technical information, or gossip available elsewhere. Sad.

Why I love IMDb. It’s my go-to when I recognise an actor but can’t recall the show I know them from. Cast and crew is my favourite search feature. I love the short bios about the actors, I feel I know a little bit more about them by reading about their career trajectory. What I’d love to learn more about is the crew roles. Like, what’s a grip? What’s a Dolly? How come there are so many executive producers on certain shows? If they’re all EP’s who has the final say? Musical score too is something I’d love to know more about.

Still Great: but it’s crashing on my iPhone X. IMDb is still a good app, but the latest update has made it so that I can’t open the app for 2 seconds without it crashing completely before I can look up anything on the database. If anyone’s reading this, please fix this issue pronto. I tried the app on my iPad and it’s still working fine, but not my phone. I have no idea how this could be happening with two devices operating on iOS 11.6.

Garbage new update for previously flawless app. IMDb was an app I used a lot. It was extremely easy to use, with a UI that helped make finding things quick and efficient. The design of the app was lovely. Most of all, the thing that most people use the app for, the search bar, was a single tap away. Now, unfortunately, a lot of the intuitive design and user-friendly interface has been ruined, instead replaced by a tab system that many other apps have adopted but simply does not work here. The search bar, the most important feature of this app, has now been moved to the second tab, and to the bottom of the screen, thus removing a lot of the efficiency the app was useful for. The main feature of IMDb has been set as a second priority in favour of celebrity news. It’s a simple little flaw but it makes a huge difference in the usability of the app.

Checking in, But.... When browsing movie titles, I would like there to be a very obvious way of seeing what I have checked in. (I am using 'checked in' as a way of determining what I have seen - either recently or long ago in the past) For example, it is obvious what I have added to my ‘watch list’ as I will either see a green + symbol in top left of cover picture or it will say 'added to watchlist'. I could use 'ratings' as an indication of what I have seen But I do not want to or think it would be wise rating something I may have watched many years ago. Without this feature, the app is not useful for me, hence the low rating. I would really love to see a feature like this be developed please. I suggest a Green Tick in top right corner.

Amazing app, but could be refined further. This app is extremely helpful, I frequently use it’s watchlist and rating features. However, I believe these two features could be improved. It would be great if the rating system would offer half star increments, i believe many users would appreciate being able to rate movies 8.5 and 9.5 etc etc. And I would also love to be able to share my ratings list with my friends via messenger or email etc etc. And having the option to share certain sections of it, 9 and 10 star movies for example.

A ‘must have’ for film and television data!!. I have used IMDb for at least 10 years. Always reliable and an incredible source of information. If you’re a movie buff, IMDb will always be your go-to for that little piece of knowledge/trivia that will put you ahead of the rest!

Don’t like the pop up window asking to write review. I don’t like the new version of the app where a pop up window appears asking to review a movie. This is extremely annoying and makes me not want to use the app.

Very addictive. I don’t think I will every forget this mini- series. It’s got into my psyche. Exquisite acting from the main characters. Life changing performances. Very emotional, frustrating often, showing how easily misunderstandings and misinterpretations and preconceptions can have serious unnecessary consequences. A brilliant ending, not Hollywood style, but perfect, leaving one wanting more, but knowing that there will never be a second season. Part of me wishes I hadn’t watched it, as it has occupied my thoughts since. But it has spurred my emotions in such a way that I have felt more alive. Best series I can remember. Thanks to all. Episode watchlist tracker. Please IMDB with all the streaming services it’s great to have a watch list but what would be helpful would be an episode watch list. Knowing you have 3 episodes left of this show and 5 of another. Not only getting the updates that a new episode dropped but having them as almost a to do list would complete my watching experience. Please! No one does it like you IMDB

My go-to app. I love this app, I just don’t like it refreshing while I’m looking at an actors career or just browsing. There doesn’t seem to be a version without an Ad banner popping up at the bottom which causes the page to refresh & start at the beginning, so I have to swipe left through the movie titles to get back to where I was up to! Grrr The iPhone version has a limited amount of room to fit detail in, but I’d like to see ratings at the bottom of ALL movie/series thumbnail pictures wherever they might appear. Also there should be a tick box or something that you can select on a title you have/are putting in your watchlist whereby you can basically say you’ve watched this or want to! Not sure what that might look like but I’m sure someone could come up with something. All that said, this is the “have to have” app for anyone interested in the entertainment arena. A movie buff or just interested in following certain actors careers. Love it 💋

IMDb is the most useful app we have !. If you enjoy watching TV and movies, which we do, you HAVE to use IMDb ! The ability to see when the series starts, how it rated and who it stars is INVALUABLE. When new movies or TV series are coming, IMDb will show them and how they rate. I couldn’t be without it.

Not a fan of update. Used to enjoy the Imdb app, but the latest update with a seperate search tab is very annoying and inconvenient, put it back to the opening home page, why change it when it worked fine!

It’s decent but……. It’s s an overall decent app, but they will adjust the overall ratings of a film ect… if they do not think it matches what the “mob” feels it should be so you can’t necessarily go by the ratings at all for a given film. If they did not do this then they’d get 5 stars from me.

Movie bible. Fantastic resource for TV/movie lovers. I wish I could be hired by IMDb and work from home doing … I don’t know what but I know it would be a dream job.

I have used this app for years BUT. The most recent update is the worst thing to ever happen to this app. I've probably had this app since 2012 and use it almost everyday and while minor updates have lead to improvements, this newest update is awful. It seems like I'm meant to be using it on an ipad and not an iphone. Everything requires so much extra scrolling and navigating to get not even half as much information as you could get before. Please stop trying to be trendy and don't fix things that weren't broken.

Ads are getting out of hand. Having to watch an ad before a trailer (essentially an ad before a movie ad) was already ridiculous. Now they’ve somehow added more ads all over the place.

IMDb Rules!. I check it nearly 10 times a day to help with reviews, emails and texts. When my memory fails me and I need a title, actor name or become curious about what’s coming it’s at my fingertips. I hate those ‘what was his name?’ moments and have little patience for waiting for my older mind to reveal the answer, it’s an immediate fix for all things required for entertainment information!

What happened?. What happened to the review system? It used to be decent. Now it’s terrible at best, toxic and racist at worst.

Bug report/user unfriendly. I use this app regularly & would give it 5 stars BUT it’s extremely annoying when you look at a feature via the upper banner slides (the top half of the screen on mobile) - when you go back, it bumps you back to the first slide & you have to swipe over many times to get back to see the rest. Please fix this!! Thanks

Hate update. I use the app almost everyday or every other day to check user reviews and ratings (avid tv show and movie guy). I hate this new update hence 3 stars. Now it’s an extra step to search something.

Great App. One of my favourite apps. I open it many times a day. I can really trust the rating system for my tastes. Generally speaking, I avoid things not rated 7 and higher. Lower than 7 I’ll watch just to kill time at work, etc. Below 6 I won’t even bother.

confusing user interface. It used to be so simple and clear. Now everything is deep hidden in different parts of the app. I don't like it anymore.

Loved this app before the update. I loved and used this app so much but after the update it’s so messy and I can’t find what I’m looking for without scrolling up and down multiple times. The past format was so simple to use and the guides were much better. Please consider moving back to a similar format bcuz this makes it unusable.

Watch an ad to watch an ad. You have to watch ads in order to watch another ad (the movie trailer) this is just ridiculous.

searching the movie lists constant going back. anytime i look up the ‘known for..’ list. especislly when choosing a title thats far back when i come back it reverses all the way back to the start which is frustrating to the point of just closing the app.

Hateful Review bombing a serious issue. IMDB, you seriously need to figure out a wait to combat hate-motivated review bombing. It is happening more frequently and it is quite disturbing.

My life changed with this APP. Being an FilmBuff my whole life, I was looking up the particulars of each film almost daily. This has made things so much easier. Then the bonus pieces, i.e Reviews/ Release Dates/ Total Cost/ Other Film's Like This (You may enjoy) etc. Thank you for this Fantastic Entertaining Tool of my life.

From Phone To Tv. Can you Stream Movies from your Phone To TV??

Love the app. I spend much time searching my favourite movies and shows. I find reading and learning more about movies and shows very entertaining. I sometimes review things I enjoy and often rate the content I enjoy. It’s very interesting to see everyone else’s opinions on the things I find entertaining and joyous. This app has it all. Rate, review, learn trivia, learn goofs/mistakes, and we’ll as quotes, and locations where the shows were shot in. I always always always look up new shows or movies I’ve found interesting in IMDB because I love learning about things I enjoy. I Highly recommend this app for anyone who enjoys films and media.

Issues currently with APP. There are some issues with App

ANNOYING. After the last update I’m being asked to sign-in everyday to get into my profile whereas in the past I stayed signed-in. Having to sign-in each day is EXTREMELY ANNOYING. Please revert this process back to the way it was, because right now I’m considering deleting-it. Thank you :)

Update Fail. Latest update is buggy and hangs. Gives me a message that my internet speed is too slow. Deleted the app as it is annoying to navigate. Worked flawlessly for my up until the latest update. As far as content goes, lots of interesting information - my go-to movie database. Now… fix the app please!

Safe space for the woke. The liberal content monitoring is extreme. Any reviews posted by users are quickly removed if they contain anything that doesn’t fit the narrative. So basically you are getting biased reviews that paint the woke as the almighty. Grow up IMDb!

Terrible Update. The new update makes finding recent films and upcoming films a nightmare. It is brutal and unusable!!

Too Cluttered. The app is so cluttered by useless recommendations that is has become difficult to find the main touch points that I use the app for. They changed the homepage to include a lot more things to interact with but didn’t think about what people actually want to interact with. To find the sections on the home page that say what’s out now and coming soon (which used to be near the top) you have to scroll past ten carousels titled something like “More from Bradley Cooper.” You can still find this info if you go to the search section but they’ve added more steps that don’t need to be there. I appreciate the integration of finding showtimes, showing trailers and news articles, or highlighting how you can watch a title BUT when you have that much going on it’s best to streamline and cut the excess

What a mess. Used to be a really good app for seeing what’s playing, trailers and coming soon films. Now it’s a jumbled mess.. throwing way too much content at you… like a frenzy.. Movies you might like, Movies with dogs in them, movies that start with the letter T… god awful… next…

Lost information in recent update. Since a recent update, IMDB no longer displays the year of a movie or television show in lists for actors and other crew. This really makes it less easy to use. Please bring date display back The categorization of the watchlist is ok, but it forces extra clicks to access the list. It would be better if this could be disabled or different display default options were available. Hate it when redesigns reduce functionality!!!

I use Wikipedia instead. I put up with a lot to use this app, and now the ads have destroyed scrolling and loading times. It’s practically unusable at this point.

Great App but odd design choices. I use this app to look up shows, movies, actors, creators, etc. and always beat my friends who are googling it at the same time. I find it to be a great resource. However! When they moved navigation to the bottom... well, it just doesn’t make sense, because when you hit search at the bottom, the search bar appears at the top still; so rather than just tapping twice in the same general area, you are moving the whole length of the screen just to search, which is the only thing I do on the app. Seems like a strange choice. I have heard they increased the font size too much on the most recent update, so I will be waiting until there are adjustment settings for that to update. (Especially because I have a smaller older model iPhone.)

Movie Lover’s App. I enjoy watching movies and television shows on several streaming services. This app keeps everything you love, or don’t love, in one place. Shows that you watch with loved ones are kept here so those memories of watching shows together remain after those loved ones are gone. I use this app to keep all movies that my mom and I watched together and when I need some fond memories of my mom, I pick a show that we watched together. So glad to have this trustworthy place to look for movie information, as well. Cast and crew information and sometimes a little bit of personal information written by my favorite actors can be found here.

Good, bad, & ugly.. ——-WHAT’S GOOD? 1. Hands down, this app provides access to the largest and most thorough database of media information known to man. 2. Regarding the first item, its integration and linking is superb; app flows very well; very little lag. 3. Landscape support for tablets. 4. Dark mode. 5. Able to create and manage personal (or public) lists. ——-WHAT’S BAD? 1. No uniform way to mark, view and manage “not interested” titles. 2. No series tracking interface to monitor progress in a series. 3. No multitasking support or split screen support for tablets. 4. The “Where To Watch” streaming information (to find out where titles are currently streaming, if often incorrect. 5. No way to report bugs or provide feedback within the app. There are methods that often require multiple steps outside the app. This likely hurts IMDb because it doesn’t utilize the full strength of the IMDb user army. 6. Regarding the various places that titles are listed, there is no way to multiple-select items for an action (such as moving multiple items to another list). 7. In general, regarding what actions are available , it requires a lot of tapping. Limited swipe options and no long-press/touch options. Menus to submenu actions require a lot of finger traveling on the screen (top to bottom).

You can always count on IDMB!. Anyone who hasn’t heard of IDMB I always recommend they download it or at least use it online as a source to look up anything tv related. I honestly can’t think of a time it has let me down- maybe a fewwwww times there wasn’t a trailer for an older movie or less popular movie, and the few who are new actors or young and new either way sometimes they are not even pictured, when you know they could at least use a clip from a scene from the one or two things they were in…. But to be honest that’s me being brutal- no matter what I use IMDB all the time it IS THE GO TO APP!!- PLUS they do a good job at keeping things up to date, if there is a death etc. 😞

I wrote this review unprompted. Nothing in the app prompted me to review this app. I’m writing this review because I think it’s important for people to know what a good app this is. Personally, I use the Watchlist feature quite a bit. I can tell the app my preferred streaming services, and it will let me know which of my watchlist movies are available in those services. It also sends me notifications when movies are added to those services or when they are about to leave. The filtering and sorting options are fantastic, all of this wrapped up with all the features of the website that I’ve always loved. An excellent app. Truly worth 5 stars.

Can't sign in using iPhone app. First of alli LOVE IMDB!! I use it many times EVERY day... Much more than I even use FB. I have a rule when looking for something new to watch. It must have an IMDB rating of 7 or more for me to watch. When I'm watching something I am always using IMDB while watching, looking up the actors or crew or trivia. You might be wondering why I have rated the app so low with one star...it's because the app has not allowed me to actually login to my account in order to rate things or add to my watch list etc. The app gives you many ways to create or login but EVERY SINGLE method results in an immediate error, making it impossible to login and use all the benefits that come from having an account. I've tried updating and deleting etc. My solution is to use the web version and save the page to my home screen. Please fix this and I'll immediately rate it 5 Stars.

Excellent App. I love this app, it’s my “go to” for all movie, TV and actor info. But, my favorite thing about IMDb is that it’s the greatest gift I’ve ever given my dad. My father is 73yrs young and a retired cattleman who loves to fish. The man will not text yet carries an iPhone. He loves to watch old westerns, Gunsmoke and The Rifleman are daily rituals. He loves to know everything there is to know about what he watches…who the actors are, when they were born and what else they were in. When I downloaded IMDb for him he was thrilled! It really makes my heart happy that I was able to show my dad such a simple thing that he uses everyday and brings him so much happiness and satisfaction♥️ Thank you!

What a Treasure IMDb is. IMDb has become a friend. Whenever deciding on a movie, TV series and shows. There is just so much information ranging from briefs on shows and films, and how they are rated. Armed with this information I have a better idea on which film, program or documentary to select and enjoy. IMDb still has more to offer in the form of inside information found in the trivia section. I find the trivia section to really fill in all the blanks about the selected movie/show. The trivia section brings true golden insights about the actors, filming, and so more. I have found IMDb to be such a treasure, I highly recommend taking a serious look at what IMDb has to offer.

App is Good but needs improvements. I’m a lifelong IMDB fan, I have found myself going to this site almost everyday for the past near 10 years. That won’t change. The app is good and I do expect it to get better. I did have a recommendation, something that I find personally annoying. When watching trailers, it is hard to capture the time ticker with finger to rewind or fast forward, and also you have the screen set up to swipe to the next trailer and what is annoying is that if we don’t catch the ticker then it just swipes to the next trailer. I find myself having to go back repeatedly, wait for it to load then try to go back to where I was and it’s just a big hassle because the same thing happens over and over. I would recommend getting rid of the easy swipe to next trailer or at least give us an option to turn it off.

The Fire Cats will warm your heart!!. This documentary will inspire and warm hearts!! The Fire Cats are the hero's... they kept hope alive for families that lost everything in the horrific California wild fires, Tubbs and Camp Fire's specifically. Rescuers, especially Shannon Jay, risked a lot to rescue hundreds of cats after the fire storms swept through Santa Rosa and Paradise, CA. These tales will make you cry, laugh, and cheer as the cats that made it out of deaths door to tell the tail another day. Do not give up hope!!! This story will hopefully lead to new legislation that will find cats sentient and not considered properly. New rescue efforts during disasters has to come to the forefront and be more important moving forward to bring these animals home.

Nov 2019 overhaul.... ...really is a terrible mess. I'm completely baffled by the incessant need to conform to "tiles", "blocks", "grids", etc. I'm keeping track and rating episodes of shows along with move, (previously) relying heavily on the simple search (history) which this newly reformed UI has complicated to the point of almost obliteration and warranted frustration. I just want the search option to be the way it always had been until late Nov 2019. I actually roll my eyes and groan when trying to quickly find my search history of shows which i episodicly rate, but I'm hit with complication and unnecessary rules, like a Windows 8 nightmare of an app that is now unexpectedly closer to "a trite made flesh". That was a quote from one of my favorite movies and I'll be damned if I can find that title alone as easily as I used to for 7 years... Change it back for the love of Ebert and all that, well, sadly used to make sense!

Great app — some suggestions. Love this app! does exactly what I need it to and I especially appreciate the Birthday Widget for apple devices. One suggestion would be to have a “Currently Watching” option like how you have a “Watchlist” and “Ratings” list. Id find this helpful specifically for mini series and television shows— because one or two seasons in I’m not ready to give it a rating but I also don’t want to lose it if I’m taking a break. I feel this option could also be helpful for tv show/movie statistics for imdbPRO users to keep an eye on how many are “currently watching” their content instead of just seeing who has rated it. Just some suggestions— great app/website!

App or Idea of the App. This has always been one of my favorite apps. I’m an information junkie. THis includes Movie details. Movies will always take you to places you may not get to go in real life. Stories are told and utilize the imagination as its stage. Theatre of the mind as told by radio hosts. Enter IMDB, a place one can go to find out more about the stories we love. Back Story, Actor information, movie information, a place for viewers to express their opinions, It’s an amazing place and app all around. Any marketing or adds done though this aren’t enough. I’d also pay to use this. Definitely a revenue opportunity. I would invest.

All Movie & TV Information in One Place!. I am a 70 year old cinemaphile since early childhood who would see any film positively reviewed by Roger Ebert and Leonard Maltin. Roger has unfortunately passed on and Leonard stopped publishing his Annual Movie Guide as he wrote in the final addition because of the availability of so much information on the Internet. He did not specifically mention the IMDb but am rather sure that’s what he meant. The IMDb provides an endless stream of any, and all detailed information anyone could possibly desire about any film, television show, director, actor, and every person or entity involved in producing entertainment. A Truly Amazing App (Movie Lover Or Not). IMDb is my favourite movie-media app of all time, and I find myself using it constantly for good reasons. It always allows me to browse Movies and TV Shows as I please very simply and easy. There are a LOT of times where I’m on my TV, endlessly browsing movies knowing I’m never going to find a good one to watch. But with IMDb, I can do quick and easy research to find the movie or TV show I want to watch. IMDb also makes it easier to rate movies and write reviews, seeing as I like rating movies and giving my opinion. And being someone who watches TV a whole lot, IMDb is just overall helpful in so many different ways. The app is also extremely simple and easy to use and operate, and in the two years I have been using the app, it has never crashed ONCE. Another thing about IMDb is that it’s completely free, and an app as good as this should be worth at least five dollars. IMDb also takes up almost no space on your phone whatsoever. In Conclusion, whether you’re a movie and TV lover or not, I’d recommend getting it. It is a great app, and is very useful in so many ways. Thanks for reading!

App just stops working frequently. I use IMDB a lot, maybe more than the average user. It’s an extremely helpful tool for following favorite performers’ work... and settling arguments, from time to time. It’s incredibly comprehensive, and though the ratings are skewed by shills/bots more often now than in the past, they’re still helpful. My problem is that the app will just stop loading after using for a few to several minutes. It can’t be just me. This has persisted across a couple to a few iPhones, and uninstalling/reinstalling doesn’t seem to help. I have to close the app, wait a while, open it back up, sometimes repeating the process several times in one day. I don’t know why this is, I’m not a super heavy user. Aside from the loading issue, it’s a good app.

I Miss the Forums. I’ve been using IMDB from the very early days, and is now my go-to app for movie info. I love the 10-Star system (so superior to the 5-Star system, IMO), the (sometimes fairly extensive) film facts, the links to the actors, and the reviews, both professional and amateur. However...I miss the forums. While I understand why they were discontinued, it seems that a bit of creative problem-solving could have kept the only truly-interactive feature operating, and in a civil manner. Perhaps allowing forums for just the smaller, indy-type movies (I can see the problem with forums for blockbusters), with some way for the participants to self-police could be a compromise? It was amazing to be able to communicate with a film’s stakeholders and other fans, and I’ve missed it. Otherwise, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (five stars)

Does the job. I get the info I’m looking for but IMDb underrates the value it added to the film community through the forums and the ease of sharing lists and recommendations from the people these movies are actually made for. It just turned more into a members club for insider information and that’s because it either got bought or sold but at the end of the day movies are art and the user apps made around the medium should promote it as such. But the mortal fear of losing out or not getting what’s available motivated decisions from big wigs who don’t genuinely care about the millions of users of the database, because it is essentially the Wikipedia of entertainment and they should’ve kept the focus on the community like any forward thinking businessperson actually would’ve.

Horrible very limited app. Don't get this app! The normal website is way better. All this app does is limit the amount of information you get on the movies you look up, and feed you more adds then you would get on the site. If you look up movies there are no user reviews of movies. They only show you main stream reviews from critics who are getting paid. They are trying to make it look like the movies they list are better then they may actually be, so you can't be discriminating. And I thought one of the main functions of imdb is so normal people can voice their opinions on movies to help others make good choices. Without user input, IMDb is just another version of fandango meant to promote movies for studios regardless of quality. Support user input and control on IMDb and don't get this app unless they fix it. Unless you like extra adds and limited info.

This app so cool but some minor tweaks need to be done. Let me just say this so I can get this off my chest this app is so cool true ratings all of that stuff. But there is something for me that I don’t like. 1. When people are writing reviews they don’t understand the show and they need explaining or they are asking a question about the show. But we can’t reply so if someone is misunderstood about something in the show or someone is asking questions then how can we fix. So that was the most important. Now on the last one. 2. The parents guide there are movies or shows that show what explicit stuff happened in the movie or show but there are some as if they don’t show anything. So I’m a kid so nudity or Quentin Tarantino violence. My parents are ok with violence and definitely swearing but when it comes to gross violence or nudity they say no. So In these movies that show anything in the parents guide when it’s pg-13 or R I’m not able to watch because it might have nudity or mega violence. Overall this app is really great especially when you try to find showtimes on movies it as easy as pie. Definitely suggest you to get it.

Diamond in the Rough. This app, for me, is a diamond in the rough. By my standards, we live in a world where it seems as though for every app by which you are to learn and/or be cultured, there are 5 to do the very opposite. I love being able to look up movies and tv shows from my childhood to see who all took park in its creation. It’s is also fun being able to see some of my friends be listed - even friends I’ve lost. I’m only 30, but I’ve been blessed to just be a man from Texas who knows famous people. It makes their movies more fun, and their posted accomplishments is extremely fun for me! It gives me great pride in my friends. This site is well-run, and I proudly give you 5 stars. Please continue to be the diamond in the rough!

Recent disappointment. Before I just re installed it on my phone I would have given it 5 stars. Now??? I'm very sorry to knock my rating down to a 3. Just the other day, I deleted a bunch of apps because I'm running out of memory on my iPhone. I really missed IMBD! So tonight I uploaded it again. It couldn't look more different. It looks like a full web page instead of what most apps look like; a manageable size and construction for an iPhone. (I have a decent sized screen, too. It's an iPhone 6s+.) The words are too small for me to see and I'm unable to view the whole page at once and must move it around in order to see only part of the page at a time. I sure hope you have a suggestion for me. I loved looking and searching and learning about movies, tv shows and celebrities. Now I doubt I can use it. Is there any way you can revert this to the previous set up?

It’s super helpful to see the series order, show names and to be able to search for guest actors on specific episodes Feature request: please add a toggle feature or an option to look at the animated character pictures for animated movies and shows. It would be so helpful to us parents who are forced to suffer through all our kids movies and shows and want to search for an actor but aren’t paying close enough attention to get the names of the characters. Or when our kids say “what’s that characters name” and I have no idea because I wasn’t paying attention. PLEASE!

Sound of Freedom. I’ve rarely been so deeply moved by a movie. The issue of child sex trafficking, unfortunately, has increased in recent years, particularly in the U.S. The brave souls in this movie who try valiantly to counter the despicable adults who use children for their own gratification, are to be commended. But, their efforts have put only a dent in this industry. All of us must be vigilant in moving toward a hopeful end to the exploitation of children. This movie is a must-see and, once you have done that, pay it forward by gifting tickets for others to see it. Word-of-mouth and social action can and will make a difference.

Must have app. I don’t like the changes to the app layout. Seems to change in some small but unhelpful way on a semi-regular basis, so I always run the oldest version possible… I never update this app, but I did by accident today, and I immediately regretted it. the text entry field in search had been moved from the bottom of the screen to the top. Small gripe, but I prefer it at the bottom. Safari is taking this approach in iPadOS 15 right? Maybe go back to that? Makes typing faster. Also some UI elements could be laid out better (more densely?) so best info is visible on the top half of the app. I didn’t have to scroll down to see the review scores before this update. That changed too. Changes… I don’t enjoy so much, but the app, still gets used daily.

Not enough stars to rate this app. The best app and most used app on my phone. I use it on a daily basis. When I talk to people who watch movies and TV like I do and they don't have or in a few cases have never heard of IMDB, I am shocked. It answers so many questions and solves so many arguments. As I open up IMDB to look at one thing, whether it be an actor, actress, movie, or TV show, I frequently find myself exploring other people or entertainment that wasn't my initial focus. The different platforms, iPhone vs iPad vs Mac are all so different. On the road I always use my iPhone, but when sitting in front of TV my iPad is open and on my lap It's all good though. If you don't have IMDB, you should.

Who's rating these movies?. When I look up movie reviews I like to see the demographics of who is rating the films what. (Age, sex, American/not, etc.) You used to be able do that on the PC version by clicking on the number of people who rated the movie underneath the overall rating, but they got rid of that function there too. Like, what if it’s a family movie? Are over 40-yr olds liking it or just kids? I do like that I can now see the ratings of movies next to the titles under a director/actor’s (etc) name so that I know what other movies with those people I might want to check out. Otherwise IMDB app is fairly useful when I'm out and want to look up a title.

Not what it once was. At this stage, in 2022, no one expects an entity like IMDB to be quite what it was when it began: an information repository used mostly the industry, scholars and major film fans. That said… it has since become cluttered with the same common-level, attention-demanding crap that is the main diet of every commercial site. Yes, I expect to find trailers and featurettes here, but just put ‘em in a list; believe me, I’m smart enough to find them! The homegrown content consisting of vapid, moments-long “interviews” and blurbs is just so boring and exactly the same as Entertainment Tonight etc. I mean.. why? I’ve always used IMDB as a reliable database and for news stories. Well, the news sections are corrupted by topics that have zero to do with its category, mainly the inclusion of political content and product reviews. Gone are the days when “Movie News” showed only those stories about… um… movies. There’s no quality control here. Once all the “hey, look at this!” stuff took over the top half of the site and the news got pushed way down below the “if you like those movies…” and birthdays sections, it was over. I now use IMDB grudgingly: find what I need, then I’m out. I can find all the other dumb content it offers literally anywhere else.

Gone down hill. I seem to have gotten more out of IMDB when it first came out, the content and availability of the films etc are not like I would like. Please film makers, suggestions are welcome.... I feel that the actor pictures are essential to this database due to its overwhelmingly large content of persons and films. I'm stuck on the content of the bio's because it is an essential part of how the actor came to this ridiculously hard entertainment industry and how they make it their own and put their personalities into their work. The method acting and profiling needed to portray a person be it a famous, struggling, rich, poor, healthy, dieing, .... etc is of a marvelous process that I would love each actors insight into. Please write your story to those who are being your eyes for 120 minutes, 7,200 seconds!!!

Useful and Fun. This is a great app for anyone like me who always needs to keep track of what they need to watch or to review. I always have tons of films that my friends and family recommended to me, so I always go on IMDb to add whatever films or TV shows they said I should watch to my watchlist. I also rate whatever I watch on a 1-10 rating scale so I can keep track of what I’ve seen. Super useful, it keeps me organized very easily. Other people review Films and TV on the app too. so if i’m not sure if i want to watch something or not, i’ll go and see what other people think about it. All in all, this is a perfect app for any film buff out there to talk about films with other people, and to keep track of films and TV you need to see.

IMDbest. IMDb is the go to #1 place for Movie, Actor and Tv Facts and some real or real sounding “Trivia”. I have loved the “facts” but double check them. The site to know “who was in that movie about the koalas spreading STD’s” “who was that one guy in the thing about an orca that wants revenge..there were boats!”, “what was that movie. The guy from Law & Order was in it! It had that girl who played the babysitter in that horror movie! She had hair!” Or “that show where the grandmother was an Angel and the grandpa was a demon and they shopped at Marshall’s” possibly a commercial I saw..or dream. Pretty decent lists of Flubs, F Ups and Goofs. Sometimes early info about casting, if that’s your thing. Great place to air gripes about movies from your childhood you now hate and even resent a little. Bad place to actually get attention from celebrities. Try Twitter before it finishes imploding. Watch the movie “Latter Days” Watch “Rad” Watch “If Looks Could Kill” Watch “Drive Angry” Don’t watch “Howard the Duck” Don’t watch “Garbage Pail Kids” Watch “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” Watch “Out Cold” Watch Better Off Dead Love is Love Dr. Pepper is best.

What happened?. This app is must for movie enthusiasts. This app is loaded with facts and details about every film or tv show you can think of. However, after the latest update, I noticed that the section on technical specifications has been changed; reduced, WATERED DOWN. These specifications are very important if one is interested in the technical aspect of a film or show. It also helps me as a consumer because studios often try to sell you a product—4K HDR, newly remastered, etc—with technical features that weren’t there in the first place. If I’m spending my hard-earned money on collectibles, I like to know what I’m buying. This is, after all, a database; so we expect accurate and thorough information.

Extremely slow, huge performance issues. Using an iPhone 12 on the latest version of iOS, before the update wasn’t having performance issues but after the update, when trying to marathon ratings and adding to lists in rapid succession, the app hiccups and hiccups until it just freezes, give it a second and it catches up- but the lag is awful! What happened guys??? :( I just discovered the IMDB app and it’s exciting for me, but I can’t even use it like this. I can’t be the only one having performance issues!!! :( have tried using specific settings for the app in settings and also clearing cache and disabling auto play for the videos and closing everything else in the background and being connected to very high speed internet and it’s still having huge issues. :(

IMDBtv needs improvement. The focus of the app, looking up movies and shows, etc., is nothing beyond what you get just using your web browser. Adding IMDBtv is a nice touch, but needs improvement. You can’t search within IMDBtv itself. When you watch a movie, it doesn’t remember where you left off if you leave and come back, so you need to track that on your own. And there’s no indicator about when a movie is going to no longer be available. So you get the fun surprise of finding out a movie you’re in the middle of is no longer available. However, that’s common with most streaming services. Just tell us when it’s only available for 1-2 days more so there’s less of a surprise. On the positive, the ad breaks are short and not overbearing which is very nice.

A few looping bugs. I love the app, and use it all the time. However I don’t ever sign in, which is a bummer because I can never rate/contribute to anything I like. After signing in, it indicates that I need to approve or deny the sign-in attempt. I approve via email which allows me to see the page I would like to rate, I rate it, and then tells me I need to sign in again. So, I sign in again. Which then indicates I need to approve or deny this sign-in attempt. So I do again, and it allows me to see the page I would like to rate, I rate it, and then tells me I need to sign in again. (Does this sounds repetitive?) I entertain this 5x’s, and write a review. Other than that, the app is awesome! Thank you

Awsome app with many options. The app has been greatly improved. You can get information about almost any imaginable film or tv show, including ones that will come out in a few months and foreign productions. You can create your own watch lists and share them. It also shows where you can watch in detail, such as movie times in theaters, streaming platform and the price to rent. You get clips, quotes, filming locations, language and other helpful information such as details about the strength of content specific to gore, profanity, sex, violence, etc, which is very helpful for parents. You can also get notifications when movies on your list are available for streaming.

After Everything. I was in love with all four AFTER movies, who couldn’t fall in love with Hardin and Tessa? Hardin’s voice and expressions could melt anyone. I was so excited how their story continued and spent a lot of money to see it at the Theater. It was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! It wasn’t even Hardin and Tessa until the last 15 minutes and most of it was just a flash forward! You didn’t see them get married, tell Hardin she was pregnant, go into labor, start their Family Life together ~ want everyone so invested in this series wanted and deserved to see!!! If I were them, they should toss this one on the floor and start over with a proper movie before releasing to Netflix next year! They get get nothing but the horrible reviews it deserves! The only savior was being able to see Hardin the whole time, of course, it was in Portugal nobody knew! So so so disappointed, just couldn’t believe what I was watching!

Movie bomb. Have you played movie bomb? IMDB makes this game possible. Just get some friends to play. The first person says a movie, the next person has to name an actor in that movie, the next has to name a different movie that actor is in, the next person has to name a different actor in the last movie mentioned etc. When someone is finally stumped they say “movie bomb” of the last person cannot name another actor or movie, depending on what the last person said, they get a strike. You can determine how many strikes it takes to get out, we usually play three. This is an addictive game! IMDB makes it possible to fact check if you think someone is fibbing, if they are, they get a strike. Have fun!

AnnE with an E. I wonder if others received the poignancy and depth of feeling and insight that I did by this series. For me certainly…, And for others perhaps… I found this narrative a masterpiece of feelings and discovery and revelations about Family. Unflinching it surges into its theme of the irrepressible search we humans have for love. For anyone who has feelings of neglect or abandonment in their childhood this story is a healing balm. I carried many times as AnnE discovers and breaks down the doors of human longing and self love ; they are mutually inclusive. Matthew and Amarilla are equally a part of these discoveries that can occur at any age. Mother/Father dynamics are the irreducible bonds of human development, missing or absent, lost and then redeemed,… as this beautifully produced drama proves.

Relative Race. BYU TV provides a large number of excellent programs that are family Friends and teach some important lessons about life from various perspectives. There is no doubt that the best produced program is Relative Race. The rules change for season to season and that is understandable; the strive to keep the competition aspect even. The search for and discovery of family is by far the most valuable as you get to see so much raw emotion and joy from the contestants and their new family members. Most of the challenges are fun to watch and it is sad when various teams run into construction zones and lose valuable time. So many viewers fell in love with the twins (Team Black) but when the left the show there was still so much to draw and hold a viewers interest. Certainly some teams are able to have more exciting activities than others; but that is not that meaningful to me. The joy I feel is when mysteries and dead ends are resolved. That is truly inspiring. If I had my preference there would three seasons each year! Thank you to all involved in the production of the outstanding show.

Dead body. I would like to write a review for that movie but not sure if that’s what I’m doing as I seem to have to run through hoops to simply write a review on IMBD. You can’t just go to the bottom of the movie to write it, you have to go to the bottom on a certain page that I can’t seem to find every time I actually want to put my two cents in. Really freaking annoying as I can never remember how to do this! If this is an actual review of the movie I just watched I must say, it was awesome! It was bad as in not a great movie but it brought me back to the old slasher flicks like HappyBirthday to me in that we don’t know the killer, obvious maybe but it while you know it’s obvious that throws you off as you make yourself keep watching! I knew from the start but by the end I kinda forgot about him, maybe the wine, lol but brought me back to my teenage years in the 80’s and by the end I was like, oh my god, I knew it but still I totally forgot about him! Good job

I am I destined to live with disappointments?. Once again I am very disappointed in this app. I have tried on numerous occasions to watch the TV show titled “Midsomer Murders”. This app is a joke. Every single time I have tried to watch an episode of this series a little notice appears on my screen after about 2/3 of the episode saying that “ we are so sorry but we have encountered a problem, please try again” I would have expected a company as large as you are to be able to put out a product that works. I have had to load and then get rid of this app about 10 times in two weeks because you are unable to deliver an episode without an issue. I am very puzzled about this because from what I understand this app has been available for quite a while and you still haven’t fixed it. Be happy you received one star because if it was possible I would give you zero stars

IMDb is the best!. IMDb is the best app to find information about anything relating to movies or television. You can find everything you’d ever want to know about any movie, any film short ever made (even the most obscure) or any tv series from the past or present. Info about any tv or film personality you could think of. There’s no limit on what you can find on the IMDb and you can use it on your desktop, tablet or smartphone. The only thing I can think of that they could add would be to have all the movie trailers and photos grouped together in one place so you could search for them - by year, decade, genre, star or just at random - so you could binge on them and discover the great treasures if the Hollywood dream factory.

New Look Is Not So Good. I have enjoyed using IMDb for many years. I have learned to live with all the many changes that have been made. The one of the latest changes not so much. The changes made to the search function are terrible. Click the bottom of the screen. Then again the bottom of the screen. Then oops now we move to the top of the screen. What’s the purpose of all this? The fact that all this jumping around isn’t at all intuitive. Also, what happened to the phone search history? Can we go back to how it used to be? Has the person who made this change ever done a search? I kind of doubt it.

Great for movie buffs. I love the movies I find this app invaluable, I consulted all the time, especially for anything animated. I get the cast immediately and then I can put in my favorite cast members actors actresses and receive recommendations. IMBD gives me background information on all my favorite actors and actresses. I can put siblings with siblings and daughters with mothers, etc.. where they’re from and of course what other movies you’ve seen them and you know when you see somebody and you’re like where do I know them from you can go straight to the show you’re watching look at the cast press on the actor and see all the filmography, love love love❤️👍👍🌷💕

Should be better...Could be better.... I love how I can find tons of info in one place about shows and actors and tech crew even, but I find that this app needs work! I know they have the resources and the money, so why not? If I find an actor or show I want to watch a video on, that video barely ever plays. I have to wait forever! I have tried this on old & new phones, with data or WiFi connection-many different kinds, iPad and computers. It’s the IMDB site that can’t seem to load them. About every 5th time, the video will play. We all know that the info can’t always be relied on, but I still enjoy what I learn. Just wish they wouldn’t show u options that don’t work!!

Worthless waste of time.. After being taken on an infinite loop of pop-up registration pages, account registrations, and password resets, I finally got the app up and running. Next came the infinite loop of tapping unresponsive “play” buttons. When I was finally able to get the content to play, I received a “content restriction “ error message. Really? I’m 54 years old. I’m running the latest version of iOS, and have no trouble running any other streaming services on my phone or to my TV via Airplay. Can’t see how this app got the rating it did after I wasted an hour with this worthless app only to have it fail over and over and over and over... This app is not yet ready for prime time.

Only the Best thing Ever. I’ve been using IMDb since before smart phones were popular. It’s the most inclusive cache of movie knowledge on the planet. The amount of time I end up spending on this website/app is ridiculous because I just get sucked in! You look up a movie to see who was in it, then you start looking at all the other stuff Willam Dafoe is in, next thing you know you are reading trivia facts about Stanley Kubrick. It’s a rabbit hole but the best kind! Any dispute you have with your friends about what year a movie was or who the director was, will be instantly solved by a quick IMDb search. I don’t think this service even needs to be reviewed since it should be apparent to everyone how useful it is! Truly a ground breaking database! Great job guys!

The fault in the stars. This movie was so human and yet so eternal and spiritual. I have lost many that I loved from a very young age. Tonight I was very lonely and sad and was mourning all of those I have loved deeply and have lost…through my lifetime…before I watched this movie . I thought I was seeing this movie because of curiosity. It turned out to be more than that…much more than that. I want to thank the makers of this film, the writers of this film, the actors of this film., and everyone involved with this film, for being this very significant part of my spiritual journey that tonight turned out to be. What a blessing this night has turned out to be. 🙏🏻🫥💜🙏🏻
