Money hungry greedy app developers!. This app used to be pretty good. You could run, track your progress, and then see the saved data. There were lots of added bonus features if you paid for them. Like a personalized couch, encouragement, a very detailed run and workout plan. It was worth it for people to buy the extra stuff. Now all they have is track your run, and an overview at the end. You can’t even see old runs unless you pay for them! That is ridiculously greedy. Almost every other free running app you can see previous runs! This is not good marketing or planning. I don’t even want to pay for the extra added on content like I used to because that is just wrong to not have a basic level of running and then what you did in the past. Runtastic you lost another customer!

Used to be great. This was my favorite running app bar none for years. I paid for the premium membership back when I hardly had two nickels to rub together because it had so many great features. But it seems with the updates and things shifting around they’ve gotten rid of some of my old favorite features that I used to use to help monitor progress, like only showing one total average pace per session. I used to love after my session seeing all the information and details and especially seeing my fastest and slowest paces per mile through the session. When I finished my session today after not having used the app for a while, I was shocked at what little information was provided at the end compared to what used to be given. I searched all over the app looking for more info before realizing it’d been gutted. Really a bummer, because I’ve loved this app so much and it’ll be tough to try to adjust to another one. It’s probably still great for those who want a streamlined experience or who didn’t come to love what we used to have, so have nothing to compare it to, but I think it’ll be the first year I cancel my premium subscription since starting it years ago.

First review. I am going to be updating this as I use it longer. My first review is not a positive one. Yes , I paid for the premier version. Today I was supposed to do a 40 minute run. I start up the app on my Apple Watch and to my disappointment the Runtastic app only works with your watch if you have your phone on you. Not a chance am I carrying my phone while I run (iPhone 7). So that's a big disappointment so far. The Runtastic app in general (on the watch) freezes way to often. Too many glitches. I will keep updating as I go, not sure if the money I paid for this is worth it yet. Time will tell. Oh, I cannot find my initial test results anywhere!! I know I entered them but they are nowhere to be found on the app. Update 2: I have the new watch and it’s been a while since I’ve used the app. So far I’m doing the 5k intermediate training plan and everything is going really great. Pros: easy to sync between my watch and phone. Person talks to you and provides count downs. Music controlled within app. Cons: I still think that this app only works while your phone is with you. For example,’I don’t think I can start my plan for my 5k with my watch alone, I have to navigate to it with my phone and then have my phone on me. The watch simply mimics my phone. Data read back could be better. In addition to seeing my pace a cross each mile. I would love to see what my pace is for the timed intervals. That’s it for now. Will keep updating.

Has re-jumpstarted my 🚴‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️🏋️‍♂️routine!. Works seemlessly w/Apple Watch Ultra, can begin workouts from watch or iPhone App & avoids double counting workouts in Health, Fitness, Zones & Runtastic, and keeps a constant sync so if I log a workout in Fitness it shows up in Runtastic dashboard 🥰. The liw maintenance on fitness tracking makes this app so useful, as I can keep my tech-time down to assisting my workouts, instead of managing data cleansing & app settings, as is the problematic case with many other fitness apps. The audio cues for segments & pace keep my motivation up to push a little harder each run/ride. Works great for cycling & running, indoors & out. I can't imagine how'd to keep up without this beautiful combo of products ! Thank you 🙏 adidas for having our backs, wrists, legs... well you get the pic 😘

Issues with the app. The app is overall great app to track your running but there is an issue. The app closes itself out after a certain amount of time jogging very slowly and that is not fun. Today I was running and closed down on me in the middle of my run and messed up my activity. I ran about 4.1 miles but the app only tracked 3.7 due to it shutting off. It would be great if the app would not do that. I think this app is worth 5 stars but because of today’s problem I will give it a four star rating.

Apple Watch app is awful. I used this app exclusively for more than 3 years without an Apple Watch, and I really liked it. Recently purchased an Apple Watch to have more data about fitness and the like. The watch app is almost useless. It has failed to log more than half of my jogs. And, sometimes you will start the jog on the Watch, and it won’t log your distance until the first time you look at the watch. In some instances, I have started my jog (with the 15-second delay) and not checked the watch until I’m 2mi into the jog, only to find that it’s only then starting to track my distance! Looking for another option.

Overall pretty good. Overall its a pretty good app that has helped me get on a regular regimen with goals and something to compete against (myself and my times). I use it multiple times per week and it helps me immensely but it has a few issues. Problems: 1. Accuracy: Lately the gps signal has been great until I start a run and then it gives me a message that my signal is low and as a result my distances and times are often inaccurate. I run the same 2 routes every run but its off by as much as .2 miles sometimes. Somedays, on the same route i have no gps signal issues and everything is great but because of the accuracy issue with the gps, my pace and such are often way off. 2. I put my shoes in to the app to keep track of miles on my shoes (excellent idea for a feature) but it only logged one run to those shoes and I just checked after a month of 2-3 mile runs, 3-4 times weekly, it only has logged 2 hours. On paper its a great feature if it worked. 3. The voice notification speaks too quietly if listening to music while running. If my music is off I can hear it but otherwise its too quiet. It would be great if a) it could automatically turn down your music while it gives the pace notification louder than the music. And b) you could set the pace notification to more often than a mile Other than that its great and my running journey would have likely ended long ago had it not been for the app

Cant stop an activity after 1.5 mile. I have been using this app since 2012. Not a runner, and don't need/use the coaching features. I mainly use this app to track my running leading to and during my annual fitness test and i never had this issue before. The problem I have is that there is no way to stop/end an activity. I have to double tap home and close the app, reopen the app, to get the option to end activity. That is the only way to stop it. Trying to figure this out and to do this while running slows me down and gives me an inaccurate idea of my running time is. It only happens after 1 mile. Took screenshots that i can share if needed.

Creator club points. The app itself is great and it tracks my statistics really well, but it’s not logging the creator club points I earned properly. I even logged out and logged back into the app. For example I did 2 workouts today and ran a mile, but it only counted one of the workouts I did to give me points for. I also joined a challenge and I didn’t receive my 50 points! I’m really working hard to unlock higher levels of the creator club so it would be really great if I could acquire the points I earned! And one more problem, this just happened - there is a big black box on one of my route photos. This is the first time is happened and I don’t know why. Please please fix all of these bugs, and I’ll be happy to give a 5 start review because like I said, the app itself is great!

It’s a great app. I was never a fan of running, but this app has help change my views. I’m training to run the Chicago Marathon and this application tracks my performance flawlessly. It’s GPS, data sharing and training preferences makes it so simple to use that any electronically challenge runner will have no problem setting the app up to track their activities. I did purchase the upgrade but it’s worth every penny. I recommended it to all my friends and family and they are getting on the heath band wagon. TO THE DEVELOPERS, GREAT WORK!!!

Mostly great. I see features are being added often and i like to keep discovering new ways to keep my workouts fresh. However there’s something I don’t understand and it’s why do they have so many activities to choose from (besides running) but don’t offer workouts for all of them. I just really need to be able to access my custom intervals for specific activities (like elliptical). This doesn’t make any sense to me and seems like such a basic feature. This is a deal breaker for me but I do expect this to be supported in the near future.

Well made app, strava and Apple Watch issues. First of all, I really love how the runtastic apps are made. I use iPad for the body weight workouts at home and my apple watch + phone for runs. However, I noticed that my watch is sometimes not reflective of what is going on with a run (it would think my run stopped or paused while it is actually going). Also I have most of my friends on strava and would prefer having my runs reflected there, but the integration hasn’t been smooth (no map and time zones are not converted correctly)

Running. I love a lot of things about this app. I love how it announces when you reached your first mile, counts how many calories you burn, shows on the map where you run, does optional “live” runs on social media so people can cheer you on and you hear it while you run, and keeps track of all previous runs you have done so you can look back each one an compare your progress throughout the weeks/months/years. There’s a lot more I love about this app, and this is all just with the free version.

Great app!. I love this app. I use it to track my stats and see improvement over time. I like the leaderboard feature so I can see how I stack up with my friends. And it has a good variety of statistics available that it measures for you automatically, which is nice. One feature I wish it had, though, is a better route planner. I still use Map My Run to get suggested routes when I’m traveling or when I’m bored with my usual routes. I wish Runtastic either let me easily pre-plan where I should go (and then see my path on the map while I am running) and/or suggested routes that other people in my area have done, like Map My Run does.

When it was Runtastic it was Fantastic. Had to download this Adidas version of original Runtastic app since it became deactivated last week. I have attempted to set up the Adidas iWatch app several times and continue to get the prompt to finish setting up app on iPhone by setting up location permissions to allow while using app. When I go to the app on my phone, it doesn’t allow you to finish setting up the watch because the “next” button is not “clickable” to move forward setting up the app. Basically, this app is useless if it won’t connect to my iWatch. I use to use the original Runtastic app daily so I’m disappointed that I’ll have to find another app to track my fitness since this app is useless to me now.

Was good but not so much now. I’ve used this app for several years. It was tracking my distance by gps on my phone accurately until the last 6 months. Now it tracks my pace at 80 seconds faster than it should. I tried the fixes suggested with no luck. It was tracking on my Apple Watch accurately so I stopped using the app on the phone while running and was using the app only on the Apple watch. But now the app isn’t tracking accurately on my watch. It tracks my pace at 60 seconds slower than it should . Before anyone purchases a promembership, I’d suggest they test the free version to make sure gps tracks distance accurately on the phone/watch. For me it did accurately for years, but not lately.

Get going!. I love this app. It’s not just a passive tracker, it gives you really insightful articles on nutrition, recovery and cross training. It motivates me to be better while giving me the information to do so. With ever present challenges and multiple activities there’s something for everyone at every level who wants to get active. There’s also a great sense of community. With The goal feature creates a sense of progress and accountability. I wish they would bring back the percentage of your goal accomplished along with the weekly miles you need to accomplish it back though.

Is this a beta test?. RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER: Yes I contacted support. It says it in my review. Stop copying and pasting generic responses. I can’t believe you can’t set this app to stop the timer when you’ve hit your distance goal. You can set a 5k but it will keep going after you’ve hit that distance, resulting in extra seconds as you fumble to make it stop. This would even be fine if it kept timing but still captured the time you hit 5k. What is the point of even setting a goal? Next, if you do not share your photo immediately, you can’t share it later. Even though your photo is in there, you can only use their default photos. Tech support finally admitted it wasnt possible after I sent them a screencast of me following the process they gave me and not being able to use my photo. The developer wrote me in German for some reason just directing me back to the support article that does not work. This is not a user issue. These 2 things do not work. I sentence screencast showing me following the directions to a T. I can’t believe you actually charge people for this. This seems like a beta test. Did you even consult one runner when developing this? Nike Run Club is much better and free.

Excellent app. I am wondering using this app each morning again and again. Very accurate calculation of speed and load on every piece of distance. This app provides a very useful core functionality and you can add special trainings programs from professionals. But I would like to see in app more a body specific data e.g. whole amount of steps. In some cases gps data didn’t provide objective information about distance. If I come in a shop with low level of gps signal I see fake data about distance after coming out from the shop.

Doesn’t properly track. I really wanted to like this app, especially since you get to earn points towards Adidas while doing a normal run activities. However, it lacks so many things that make it functional for tracking your runs. First, it never tracks the correct distance. Often times off by a significant amount such as running 1 mile but only tracking at you did .1 miles. But my biggest grape is that it says it works with the Apple Watch but it does not. 70% of the time it does not display your current stats on the watch while running which is the whole point of having a watch while running. So you can’t keep track of your current pacing, heart rate, etc.I’ve gone through all of the recommended steps such as uninstalling the app on both my watch and phone and restarting my devices and still it has the same problems. Developers of this app please take a look at apps like RunKeeper to see how your app should work.

Thankful for Improvement. I recently reviewed this app which I’ve been using since 2013. I was disappointed because I could no longer access my personal 8 year history of running and other exercise events. 8 years!! It had also stopped recording my run times accurately. Since writing that review, I am now able to retrieve all of my history and the timing is back on track and I’m officially back to loving this app! I appreciate our 8 year relationship and hope it continues to stay on track by keeping me on track! Thank you!!

Update: What happened to voice coach?. This app used to work perfectly. I’ve had this app for years. Recently I’ve been doing interval training and the voice coach now stops coaching after the first interval. The app continues to run, but the voice coach stops. Really frustrating having to look at phone while running to check intervals. Update! I sent a note to support and they responded to me very quickly and my issue has been resolved. Thank you!

Add-on/plug in, data export issue. Uncomfortable mantality.. One of the very main reason I thought using this app was because it was directly linked to another app I like, Relive. However, after a month I paid and joined the premium account, the app end the partnership with Relive. And now, it gave me issue about exporting my data. The exported data the website generated is a .json format instead of .gpx format,Which is incompatible to most of the other apps. Overall by itself, the app is pretty decent. However for what I need my data compatible to other apps, the app is just keeps pulling back inch by inch. I’m not comfortable with this kind of mantality.

Great App- Easy to use. I’ve used this app for many years. It’s easy to download, connect and go. I listen to my music the whole time and there is no interruption. When you reach your milestones it lets you know so it’s a nice little motivator to keep going. My wife and I both use it to have playful competition to see who ends the week with the most activity. This world is not the same anymore and it’s easy to lose focus with all the stresses coming at you every day. We start with runtastic to keep us connected to our main purpose- to be present and enjoy life! Download and go get em.

Excellent app. I’ve tried many other activity apps before but this one is by far the best because it gives you a countdown to start. I love that because I can press it and then take a few moments to take my phone away in preparation for my jog. The second thing is, I love it gives you a recap of your work out. Three I find that it’s the best of tracking both speed and distance of all the apps I’ve tried on the market including its major

Pausing mid-run and losing my data. I use an iPhone 6S+ running the latest updated versions of iOS 13 and the Adidas app. For the last week, the app unexpectedly pauses without informing me while I’m running. So my data is not being saved. I ran 7 km this morning but the app paused at 1.3 km. I knew the app was not working because I wasn’t getting feedback while running. Not that I can do anything about it till my run is over, at which point, it informs me that there is an incomplete run and asks if I want to save it or not? Duh! I ended up manually saving my run. The app is unusable as of now. Besides, the feedback option within the app doesn’t actually have an option to give feedback, which is why I’m writing here. Grr! I still give the app 4 star review because I have been using it for many years without any issues, while it used to be called Runtastic.

Great app. I recently have been going through some tough times in my life and decided to try some training programs. I downloaded an app called Results and also Runtastic. Results is a fitness app that you can do anywhere and Runtastic works together in sync with it to add wonderful cardio to your goals. I do it on my own time and have been true to the goals I set. I’m not only seeing results, but I’m actually looking forward to keeping up with my goals. A small fee that’s worth it! It’s got me excited about the marathon next year!

Locked out of account, no way to contact support. I have used this app for 3 years as a paying premium member, and have loved it. Today I was logged out of my account. (no big deal). Attempts to log back in and reset my password on both the app and website have failed. There is no customer support contact for login help, as you must log in to submit a support request. Please reply to this so I can change my review and continue using your great product. Update: Took 5 days to get a support response email. Since then, I have received 4 emails from support with canned fixes like “install the latest version” or “ follow this link to reset your password”. I am now 15 days out from the initial problem and still can’t access the account I am paying for as a premium subscriber. Average turnaround email is about 48 hours... to solve a login issue!!! You can do better.

It’s only missing one thing. I’ve used this app for years. It is fantastic for walking, running, and most other activities. The only thing that needs to be added is the ability to keep track of stair climbing on a gym machine. The selection in the app is for stair climbing IRL. It does not track on the machine and there is no way to enter the number of flights manually. Otherwise a great app! Update: Not sure how I feel about the recent update. The layout is not as user friendly. Also there is still no way to manually enter flights climbed when on a stairclimber machine. Update: More user friendly but still no way to enter flights climbed on a machine.

Bring back micoach!. Yes I still miss micoach. I used both runtastic and micoach for years before they merged but runtastic always was kind of my backup tracker. Micoach was awesome because of the coaching feature. Now I just use my watch but I still uploaded everything to runtastic. Now the web version is gone - ok fine. But now when I upload (one at a time by the way), it just assumes everything is a run (even though a simple algorithm could probably check the file name which says what it is!), fine I’ll change all the activity types for the walks and hikes. And now, if I change the activity type it doesn’t count for challenges. I really don’t know why I use this anymore because it’s mostly just frustrating but I guess it’s my backup...

Love this app.... Love 💕 this app! I would’ve given it five ⭐️ stars, if ADIDAS/RUNTASTIC would update software to use on my Apple Watch while working out outdoors without carrying iPhone AND making it available to set in my ‘complications’ face-watch! I’ve been using to track my inline-skating workouts! Very few workout apps are compatible (track and sync) inline skating. Thanks for that ADIDAS/Runtastic! Been using Runtastic since 2016 before they changed name 💁🏼‍♀️! Def recommend! PLEASE PLEASEEEEEE.... make it possible to add to my face-watch as a complication and available to use app w/o carrying phone foe GPS tracking capability! Thanks 😊

Disappointed. Used it quite some time. I even became a premium member which was the first major disappointment. The choice of plans is extremely limited, especially if you’re looking for age ranges 40+. Once chosen a plan I realized they are just time controlled and an overlay to the regular recording feature, which means the voice announcements overlay each other or delayed each other. I once got a 3,4 and 5 km announcement right in row with some awkward silence before that. Stopping your exercise is a real mess also especially on the Apple Watch. Speaking of the watch - last two times the app stopped recording distance (not time!) and needed a tap to go on (6 series). Resume: time for another running app!

Will not allow sync with iPhone 14 and Apple Watch SE (version 2). There is a functional option to sync the app with an Apple Watch. It does not work. I purchased the watch to track horseback riding mileage, which I have done with the app on my old iPhone 8 for years. The app does significantly drain my phone battery life, so I had hoped that using the watch would remediate this problem. Both my iPhone 14 phone and the watch are new and running the latest IOS versions. Unfortunately, the option to add an Apple Watch just does not work. It gets as far as the grant permissions screen (completed) and will not allow you to select “Next” to progress any further. Very disappointing.

Long time user, recently disappointed. I’ve been using this app for over a year, and up until now I’ve been really satisfied. However, the last several times I’ve used the app, the location technology has been glitching, giving me inaccurate distances. These are my regular running loops, so I know the accurate distances by heart. It’s showing on my distance map that I’m running far more than I actually am, which messes up my average mile times, which I am trying to regularly track for training purposes. I love the app, but not so much recently due to these distance inaccuracies.

App Update. I BOUGHT this app 5 years ago when it was Runtastic Pro. Over that time I have run countless miles and been able to track all of my data. Since the most recent update (2 weeks ago) they have redesigned the progress tracker, which basically was just hiding all of your data tracking behind a pay wall. Now you have to subscribe to a Pro membership to see you own progress except for your monthly stats. What a terrible money grab. They need your membership money to pay for the app environment and all of the extra bells and whistles. So if you are a runner just looking to track your stats and not interested in paying $9.99 a month then avoid this app. So disappointed in the company.

It's almost perfect. It does almost everything right but there are a few things I think are missing and one thing that I feel is wrong. What's missing: 1. The option to have app state your pace at certain intervals aside from when it completes a mile. I currently have to keep Runkeeper open and running simultaneously to get those numbers. 2. When you're looking at your stats after the run, you can't get exact numbers on the graph like you could on the web interface when running your finger/pointer over it. Let's bring that to the app if the we interface is going away. What's wrong: I'm not sure how this isn't the default action but why does the timer not hard stop when you've completed the task? If I set the distance for 5k , the timer/activity should stop when I hit the 5k. That is not what happens! The voice says you completed it but the timer continues into you manually end the activity. That's unacceptable for those of us who are constantly trying to beat a time. We need to know the time it took us to run the distance, not how long it takes us to run the distance, take the phone out of our arm holder, unlock, and swipe to pause. Seconds matter. Autopause isn't a worthy substitute because it takes a moment to register you stopped moving but then unpauses when you're trying to get your phone free. Give an option to have the time stop when a duration/goal is complete and I'll give this a five star.

Very useful, but.... I’m more or less a big fan of this app. I find it invaluable when trying to stay in shape to play soccer as a 44 year old or to recover from injury or not let the wings and beer add up over the years. The data the free version provides is great and it’s fairly intuitive to use. My big hangup is the lack of accuracy with the satellite data. I run the same route fairly regularly, and I have seen some wild variances on distance covered and the trace of my route on the map. Also, I’ll include the standard spoiled westerner critique and say I wish I didn’t have to pay for some of the other data; but that’s capitalism. Overall, it’s quite nicely done. It’s just that without accurate distance and mapping, it starts to defeat the purpose. With that fixed it’s a sold 4.5 in my book.

Missing Critical Features. I was a long time satisfied and PAID user of Runtastic Roadbike Pro. Adidas bought them out and shut down that great app (without warning). I can no longer log into Runtastic Roadbike Pro. I have been forced to migrate to Adidas Running. There are two critical features missing from Running that makes this app nearly worthless for my needs. Roadbike Pro had access to the “Open Cycle Map”, which showed al trails and bike paths, not just roads. That was where I preferred to bike, not on roads. That map is missing from Running. I was also able to download those Open Cycle Maps for use offline when I am biking in areas without cell coverage. That is also missing in Running. Without the Open Cycle Map and ability to download it for use offline, this app is just 1 Star.

Was amazing when I had my iPhone 7.. Since I upgraded to the iPhone 12,I have had the problem of the app not registering my gps location. So sometimes my miles are short or sometimes they are long. When I look at the trouble shooting page it gives me all these nice things to do. But none of them work. Still says that my location is not turn on and that I should turn it on. Did that 10 times and made sure it was on while I was only using the app. Guess what still said the same thing after my run. I wish it was the same as when I had my iPhone 7, you would think that having a better phone the app would shine but it took a big L. Maybe an update would fix this problem 🤷🏽‍♂️ On this app. Meaning you guys need to update your adidas app.

Change for the good. You know I used to not believe in cell phones, or the whole smartphone technology. But ever since I bought my first IPhone my whole opinion has changed. It’s amazing how I can use one app for one thing and another app learns and thinks through how to calculate and complete tasks. I downloaded the Adidas running app and it tracks my walking and biking and my Adidas app communicates with it to keep track of my points that I earn, basically without me lifting a finger. Totally magic and I couldn’t live without it. Adidas does an awesome job giving their customers great service all around, I can’t believe you can earn points by excercising, something you can’t live without doing anyways. All the incentive to believe in the world we live in today and keep on doing what I do to do my part on this planet that we live on. Thankyou.

Regular Runner’s Need. Tracks speed, time, distance, elevation... it’s a good app for keeping track of your runs so that you can hold yourself accountable. It also shows your hot zones so you can see where you took a rest and where you were killin it. It uses GPS so it does effect your battery, but not as bad some other apps. It does what it says it does and it does it well, more than you can say about a lot of apps. It also gives you updates when you hit each mile marker. Extremely helpful for days when you just want to run a couple miles, you can hit it right on the nose. Highly recommend for a regular runner.

Just okay. Update: after the most recent update, the voice alerts during runs either don't work or became too soft (even with phone on maximum volume) so they cannot be heard. I can no longer tell when I have completed half the run and need to turn around. I checked the help section in the app but the search field it opens in the browser doesn't work either (I can type in the search terms but clicking "Done" or the magnifying glass does nothing). I guess I shouldn't use automatic updates on this app. Old review : I have only used it for a few weeks and likely only basic features compared to others, but it has been fantastic so far. A really nice feature it has that my previous app did not is to set a workout goal, in duration, distance, or other, and during the workout it will let you know when you are halfway done (very useful during a run so I know when to turn around). It also tells you the pace periodically. It download the map when I have access to internet and the app works when I lose wifi during a run. I haven't looked at the history data yet but so far it has everything I was looking for

App has gotten worse. This app has gotten worse over the years since it was MiCoach. I would drop this app and my still, but I don’t want to loose all my past runs and the data why the developers have removed the ability to customize training, doing an assessment, even small things like the training week in the app ends on a Saturday. My last training day ends on a Sunday, it makes it harder to accurately track your progress when the developers of the app are gigging against you! Let me tell you when my week starts, let me tell you (like I used to be able to) what days I run for my training schedule. Tell me how many miles each day to run in the schedule. None of this, run easy for 40 minutes. That tells me nothing, that’s not a training schedule, that’s a generalized recommendation. I actually should give this app a 1 star because of how good it used to be and how bad Adidas has made it.

All I wanted to do is track distance. All I wanted to do is track distance while I ride my bike or walk and then have it sync to my Apple activity and health app. I wanted to also be able to enter things manually on occasion as I don’t always carry my phone (I know, sacrilege). This sounded like it would fit the bill, so I downloaded it. Well it wants me to sign in with my Facebook login, which I don’t have, or activate some account. I don’t like giving out information to those that don’t need it. I just want an app that lives on my phone and does what little I need it to do. So I deleted the app straight away. Sorry, given all the news about personal information right now, I am just not going to start giving it out now, since I have no Facebook, Twitter, or any of the other social media apps.

Average at Best. I have the paid/premium version of thE app. Without that it doesn’t store much data. Even without I can’t sort the data to look at what I want, which is basic. For example if I want to track my pace over a few months I can’t do that without going into each run event. I can see the distances and total time... but not the pace. Sure I could math it out but... they could just put it in there. I can do that on the under armor app. It’s things like that which make this app average. For a free app look elsewhere. If you like adidas and the creators club, you need this app though as each mile logged gets you points. That’s literally the only reason to choose this app over better, less expensive options.

Crashing problems. In my opinion the only two things a running app needs is to not crash, and to track where you run. This app used to be better but recently the app crashes multiple times per run, losing my stats. The app also sometimes has gps issues where I would normally have good gps, but then I go back to see my workout and it looks like I ran zig-zags across my county, when I only run on a straight trail most of the time.

Disappointing UI. The app is unnecessarily cumbersome. The integration of accessing iTunes from within the app is nice, but I don’t need immediate access to my camera or some of the other features. The fact that it took two full runs before I started to see it record any data was a bummer, and 4 runs before I was able to find a way to get it to record from my Apple Watch when I didn’t have my phone with me. I generally don’t do shorter runs (under 7 miles or less than an hour) with my phone. I had to do a deep search just to find where the setting was located, and it was not accessible while the app was active/recording activity. I have 4 runs that were either not tracked, or only partially tracked. Nike Run Club (NRC), or the Apple activity app are far more user friendly and just worked without any fiddling. I tried the app because of a Creators Club contest that Adidas was running, giving away a pair of Adizero Adios Pros, but it didn’t even record my runs to be able to qualify.

HELP!. I have a crack in my Apple Watch in the lower left of the screen so the touch screen doesn’t work just in that spot. Now that the Apple Watch app changed to allow pausing (I don’t know why that’s needed since you can press the two buttons to pause anytime), I cannot press the stop button in its new location. If I could turn my watch over and the app flipped then I could press that button in the opposite corner but it doesn’t. I have no idea how I can stop and consequently complete my workout!

I love this app. I have been using this app for about a month now and I’m really enjoying the results. I have never been a runner. When I signed up with the Results app Runtastic came as a part of it so I figured why not give it a try. The interval training has helped me to increase my time little by little. I love the challenge. The only thing that I would like to see is treadmill tracking. I don’t run outside so the distance and calorie numbers are way off. If I edit those numbers then it will make it ineligible for the challenges that I am in the process of doing. Hope that this will become an option in the near future.

Incredibly Helpful Tool for During the Run. I used this to train for and complete my first marathon. The gps tracking, even when I did not have internet while running in other countries, is my primary draw. I also love that it gives the interactive map with pacing. One thing to keep it from 5 stars is the planning feature. It is not customizable enough to be really helpful. For example, it should have you set a date and then back track a plan for you, rather than determine when you are done. Also, I trained for my marathon intensely for 7 weeks, and although I know that’s not advised, it was what I did, so I would have liked the option to shorten the time. Instead, I found internet training plans and used this app as active tracking, which it did exceptionally well.

Easy. So easy to use but wondering if we can use this even without credits on data.

Used to love this app .... I enjoyed Runtastic but now have to use Adidas Run after Runtastic App discontinued and my account was transferred. I used to loved the app as I find it inspiring to set up goals and complete them. However, my yearly goal that I have completed was not recorded this time. As I was explained by a customer happiness team representative that I did not finish it manually. But there was no such an option or request to finish it manually. Also the year has finished so why my result is not recorded? Doesn’t make any sense. I will probably check for some other running apps this year.

Stuck on Terms and Conditions Page. I try to log into the app and it is stuck on the terms and conditions page. I try to go online to submit a request to look at this, it takes me back to the sign up page. I’ve deleted the app, redownloaded, tried logging in online, no luck. Can someone see what this is as I’d like to go back to using the app but since the upgrade it won’t let me

Great App. Having access to my progress at hand really helps with my motivation to achieve my running goal. Easy to navigate

Great software for beginners!. Helps me with my exercise and to see how much I have improved. Great interface with the apple app as well which is a bonus for me. Like the summary page too. All in all a very good software for beginners like me. 😃

No more voice coaching. The voice coaching has been reduced to 2km only, if you want to hear the voice coaching after 2km you will have to pay. This is cutting the existing features into paid version. If you like to pay, not a big deal. If you are looking for a free, good running accompany app, this app is not recommended.

Most versatile fitness app I’ve used. I wanted an app that I could see my pace, HR, distance, HR zone and time all on the one watch face and this is the only app that lets you do that. It also allows you to easily control Apple Music from the watch app. Another great feature is I can choose between the optical HR monitor on my watch for a quick workout or easily connect my Polar ECG H10 HR monitor for more accuracy. The only hiccup I’ve had is on my older series 3 apple watch it sometimes won’t start a workout (it hangs on the start button image) and I have to get my phone out to override the start of a workout then the watch app continues on. I’m also using the 3rd party Rungap app to sync data to Strava and other apps for sharing within other running communities.

Worrying Privacy. Turns out you can’t "Not accept” the new terms of Runtastic, there is no option to decline and delete your account. To delete, you first need to accept. Is this even legal? What is worse, every external link they provide inside the T&C text also redirects to the same page. So there is no real way to fully accept it. App completely locked down. In summary, to read the terms you first need to accept them. To decline the terms and delete your account you need to accept them. This can’t be legal. They deleted my account without me requesting it, and without verifying I was the owner of it... Really, I’m so glad I have no longer a Runtastic account. This throws the GPDR book through the window...

Great running app!. Have been using various version of this app for nearly 10 years. Has helped me train up for 2 marathons and many halves/ 10ks. Very good but missing heart based training from old version. Bring back the zones!

Very impressed. Got the app to earn points towards my creators club membership, but it has actually reinvigorated my walking. The GPS is great in both my iPhone and watch, while the stats really keep me interested and motivated throughout the week. My new favorite app!

Incredible!!!. The first time I used this app I ran 2km more than I usually do! I have used free running apps in the past and usually they are difficult to navigate and require additional purchases to use the app in the most basic ways. However Adidas running is so simple to use and gives extremely useful information and feedback at the end of each activity. 10/10 would recommend.

Good application that keeps you motivated. Loving the app, especially the running plans that keep you motivated while training for a specific type of running distance or whatever aim you have :)

I cannot join any communities to attend any run meets. I have just downloaded your app, I have made an account however when I’ve been invited by a friend to join a community the app always says “sorry we cannot connect to your account” I’ve used this on wifi and no wifi, same issue. I’ve tried to reset my password, it also won’t allow me to change this. Suggestions? Thank you.

Great to use, helpful, and easy.. I love using this app. It tracks all my physical activities, running, walking, cycling, hiking etc. With the auto pause function and voice coaching all you need is a set of Bluetooth headphones and you don’t need to look at your phone until you’re done!

Runtastic. I use the app as often as I can. My main use of the app, is to track how long my weighted walks and runs are taking, aswell as my speeds. All of this data helps improve on my fitness. Thumbs up 🤙🏾

Was sceptical but getting converted.. Love the small stuff - ability to record a treadmill run, the choice of running plans

Got me off my chair and moving. Used to hate running, hadn’t done it in years. Grabbed this app in mid-March thanks to the quarantine, just ran my 200th kilometre since then today. Cheers Runtastic!

Has potential. I wanted it for the custom activity settings, distance, elevation, pace etc. Sadly once the activity has saved it changes the config if displayed settings back to the default, so they never finished implementing the custom option actions the whole app which is disappointing.

Inspiring app. Being able to set a variety of goals, join in on challenges as they come up and add friends helps me to stay motivated. One of my favorite parts of the app is the newsfeed which periodically has health and fitness articles which are absolutely awesome!

Deceptive App. Don’t subscribe! Trying to cancel Premium Membership during the 7 day free trial has been a nightmare! If I gave permission to purchase via a click of a button surely termination to avoid charges should be the same! Instead I’m being asked to send all my personal documents & signature to Austria! This is a joke. I may never purchase Adidas products again due to this inconvenience! Extremely frustrated & waste of 1/2 a day!

One of the best fitness apps. Started using this apps after trialling other well known running apps. I found this adidas running app to be superior against the others that I tried.

Needs work. I got this app because I read that it tracks your activity and recommends shoes, so I wanted to use it to find an appropriate pair of shoes as well as get back into fitness. The main problem I have though is when I’d like to have it track my every day walking activities as well as exercise so it’s more accurate. But it doesn’t detect travel. Even the Pokémon app detects travel. So if you don’t remember to turn it on and off every time then it screws up your whole days recordings. It also keeps yapping at you while you drive, which overrides the radio when my phone is connected to CarPlay, so I have to keep turning the radio back on. The app has potential, but I won’t be using it until it’s caught up with the times.

My settings open when I open the App. When I open the App my settings open up at the same time is there a way to stop it

Good sesh. Great app, I have been using it on and off for a number of years now. Great range of programs for beginners right through to seasoned runners. The only feedback I have is for a break down of the programs before signing up to them (e.g. the goal of a slim down program is to run three times a week and to maintain an aerobic heart rate throughout etc). Awesome app, thanks!

Awesome. Great app I use it almost daily with a multitude of activities. Walking, running, riding, kayaking, workouts ect. Works great with all activities. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to track daily sports and activities

Could be great.... I do love this app due to how easy it is to use. I have been using this app on my iwatch and although there are a huge range of sports on the iPhone however these aren’t available on the iwatch. It would be great if the developers would allow users to select/change the sports that show up on the iwatch and choose the default sport.

Don’t need anything but your phone to track your progress. I use this app for my dog walking clients. To measure distance, pace, and time. This allows me to show my clients how their dogs are improving or that they need to improve their fitness which leads to discussions about diet and exercise appropriate for the breed, size and lifestyle of the dog and family. Highly recommend even though I don’t use all the features. I have even sent the route taken to my clients for them to discover the bush walks in their area that they were unaware of. Explore.

Keeping me Accountable. I've been using Runtastic for quite a few years now and I love it. It stores all my results for walking running and hiking. I love trying to beat my PB'S. It's an excellent app to have!

Unreliable integration with Health App. Decent app that fails just short of being the running app of choice. Got the free version so ads are an expected annoyance but I’d be extremely reluctant to upgrade to the paid service when 1 out of 5 times I encounter errors during runs and lose the data, resulting in me having to manually add the exercise and guessing how far it was and my time. For clarity, I’m using my Apple Watch to start the run but have my phone connected by Bluetooth and get an error, most common one being “Apple Health Error occurred”. Much more reliable and cheaper alternatives on the AppStore that offer similar features.

Does the job tracking your runs. I’ve not regularly used this app in recent weeks. I noticed today the visual queues to go premium has become more prominent than before. I’m dismayed seeing this app highly promoted in the running community I was with prior COVID-19 has become like most other apps to offer a base and then pressure users to pay. If this app was bought out by a merch brand big enough then surely they can offer the community pro this brand the goodwill to use the features in return for loyalty to their core business. Another aspect of this app I like to mention is that at the end of a run, it is good with letting you to choose a visual representative of the run overlaying a map. It would be good to let the user to choose how much sharing they want that run be revealed eg everyone vs a particular group vs selected friends vs not shared.

Love it!. I use this for all my walks and love the accountability that recording every workout this gives me! It gets me moving if I check and there is nothing for three days. Keep it up!

Excellent App. I have had this app for about 7 years since it was runtastic. I love it but unfortunately too expensive so no longer have the full subscription.

Used to love it, but.... I’ve used this app daily for about a year and think it’s great. In the last few weeks I’ve struggled with connectivity issues and have to reload to get coverage, but this week I just keep getting an error message of no GPS - I’ve turned off the phone and started again, I’ve even deleted the app and reloaded, but nothing is fixing this issue! Any clues before I look for a different app?

Just brilliant. Runtastic not only has amazing features but it's overall set up and goal orientated platform provides that little extra motivation to grab your runners each day.

A great App for my requirements. All I need is distance covered, avg speed, high low etc. I don’t want any intrusions and functionalities forced on me. A great feature is that the app tells me the length of average stride Keep up the good work Adidas

Very good app. Very good app for daily use no matter which type activity you perform, this app will keep you on top and motivate more to perform…

Good app but needs a couple of fixes. Love the running coach and feedback. Great idea. Find it motivational. Would be nice if you could get an update on average pace over the whole run. Tying to do the maths in my head from total time and distance while running is hard for me. Have followed process to sync data to Apple health but Apple health says “No data “. certainly there is data in the adidas app though. Needs a look at. All in all good app. With a couple of fixes it would replace my normal running app.

Finish activity. Hey there Love the app. My running has gone through the roof this year because of it. Given me some great tools to better my running. One problem ive found is that when an activity is paused I’ve accidentally hit finish a few times and it ends the workout. Very frustrating when halfa way through and wanna do the whole workout. Could there be a “are you sure button” added when you hit finish? Cheers

Road Bike??. Was road bike by runtastic discontinued? I bought the app a few years ago and can’t access it now!!!

Beware of losing your history!. Great app with added features but lost history for this year when it transferred from the Runtastic version. Transfers data up to end of 2020 but now won’t be able to compare annual history from the past 7 years. Very disappointing as a paid premium subscriber. 🥲

Not bad, not awesome. So much potential Runtastic developers! Too many simple options on the free version, give me something!!!

Ok. For a running app, it does the job. It has pretty much all the info you will need to get yourself to your goal. However, the constant adds are really annoying. When I first got the app, there was only a couple of adds here and there. Now there seems to be an add ever time you press a button... then there is the in app pop up that is so helpful, letting you know that if you don't want adds, then you can buy the full version...

App is too laggy. Takes too long to launch.. App takes too long to start up and launch. I am always all ready to begin my run or walk but the app takes such a Long time even when I have pressed the START button. Pls the countdown also takes up a few seconds just to get rid of. And way too many ridiculous advertisements that annoy the hell out of the user.

GPS Maps still Public when set to only me.. GPS Maps still Public when set to only me in privacy settings. Anyone with the link can access map data after I share my run. Also no place to submit feedback on the site/app. No contact email addresses or phone number from the company. They seem to be quite hidden in terms of internal people operations, but want to expose all of our own personal data. Tread carefully! I liked this app because it makes small map thumbnails to share to FB, without giving the full map details, unless the user clicks on the link. Sigh. No way to hide GPS data from activities. Other than that, this app works really well for its intended purpose to track your exercise.

My fav. I love how easy it is to track my running. Being able to hear where I am at each kilometre keeps me motivated! I also like being able to use the photo feature, super easy, super cool app!

Appalling new interface. Why change an app interface from something that works into something that doesn’t? Everything about the new interface is horrible: the fonts and the colours which are unreadable outside, to the inability to see where you are when challenging a previous time. Please take us back to the previous iteration. This is the work of someone who does not use the app!

Beware. I signed up to free trial for a week. Had difficulty using app within first two day. To delete this app before free trail period is not an easy process despite what is claimed to be easy in instructions. In my view it’s designed to stall purchasers so that they will be charged for package (s) once week is up. You can’t cancel the app through the Runtastic links you must do it through iTunes account. Look around before purchasing , read the many online negative reviews on other sites. There are better , consumer friendly apps with good customer service and easy delete methods.

I had the PRO version and.... I’ve been a happy user of the Runtastic App for almost 10 years. Few days ago I was informed that the previous app was discontinued so I was invited to download the Adidas by Runtastic app. That wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t for the fact that I had the PRO version while now I can only access the basic one. I will happily rectify my review if you could kindly give me back the PRO version I had for several years, without having to pay for it again. Thank you.

What is this supposed to be?. Runtastic used to be the best, most accurate and simple running/biking app out there. Since it became adidas it seems to be trying to be a social media "fitness app". Now If i just want to go for a run there is nowhere to just start it and run, it seems you have to take one of their cookie cutter programs and join groups and take challenges. I am so disappointed in what they have done to a previously exceptional app.

Adidas running. This app is very useful for tracking your running or walking

App stops run when notifications pop up?!? YOUCH!. Ruined my run Adidas. Was only at 2 1/2 miles and my Apple rings notified me that I closed a ring and this somehow indicated to your app that my run was over. Won’t be using this again. Might want to look into that. Huge oversight.

Works great. Use it to track my roller blade runs in summer and running on a treadmill in winter months, so many activities to choose from inside this app, use a Bluetooth heart rate monitor with it as well, makes you want to get out

Runtastic used to be good. They took don’t the website. They say they are working hard to bring all the same functions to mobile app, but can’t even create a route anymore. Terrible i’m switching to Strava.

One small thing…. I love running with this app. It analyzes my run to a tee. But when I set a goal for a run, I would like for it to automatically end the run rather than continue to count. I went for a run earlier today, and my hands were freezing. I couldn’t tap the screen to stop it. It keep running for 10+ minutes and made it seem like my last lap was much slower than the others. Please let the workout stop as soon as the goal I’ve set is reached. Great app though.

Best app to walk!. I love it!

Great. Overall a great app but I’d love to see a version that is not designed for black women only

Beast mode. I enjoy this sign me up all the time I love this this running app is bomb running in the rain so refreshing bath now and bed equals wine

I’m done !. I brought Runtastic pro app many years ago cause it was great. Then, Premium was created and I’ve lost access for several features I’ve paid for ! Only answer from Runtastic : now you have to pay to subscribe Premium... Today, I get a notification about the end of Runtastic pro and that I have to download the Adidas running app to get my Runtastic pro features back and “much more”... Well, guess what ? To have pro features back (and more), I have to subscribe for Premium !!! That’ll not gonna happen. I’m done

Great “new” app??. This app has been running downhill for a while now. The retirement of the website was a huge loss as the information provided there was much better than in the app. Now the big reveal for the promised ‘fabulous’ upgrade shows a new colour scheme and name but little else. Very disappointing! Cancelling subscription—no value for $$ anymore.

Review. The adidas running app has been a great way to track my fitness through my everyday task!

Bad update. App no longer works on my Apple Watch 6 since the update. Please fix

Fix Average Pace under Running Statistics. After fixing the ‘failed goal’ fiasco NOW the average pace in Running Statistics is off 2 minutes per kilometre. The app has failed Change Management and lacks basic features that could propel this app forward, but simple mistakes continue to cause major issues for serious users of the app...very disappointed with Adidas!

Facilité d’utilisation et agile. Très facile à utiliser et peut être adapté aux besoins de mes entraînements

Runtastic Premium. A real SCAM....!!! Never use any of the runtastic apps. I bought the Premium version of this app. and did not like it and did not use it. They are now charging me for another year as they say it’s an automatic renewal and it was written in the agreement. I am now receiving threath of legal action...hahaha. They will not get a penny from me that’s for sure. I will also advise Apple of Runtastic’s illegal practice and have them remove all Runtastic apps from the Apple Store.

Ok, but missing something.. This app works good for tracking my walks; however, a couple of things it lost from the original Runtastic app are: 1) the view of activities in a monthly calendar format, so you can see at a glance how you are doing/did throughout the month. 2) the weight tracking chart Maybe that’s not what this app is about, but it’s what I really loved about the Runtastic app. I miss those functions. Was not happy with the changeover. This app doesn’t meet my needs as well.

Great app!!. Awesome for anyone looking to get some exercise an feel rewarded at the same time! Thanks Adidas.

The Best!!. It works perfectly even without internet while your doing it it doesn’t work but after it calculates it

It’s amazing!. I’ve been a member of Runtastic since Addidas MiCoach app merged. It was a great app before and it only got better. I wouldn’t call myself a runner, but this app has kept me consistent. So much so that I was able to run an average of one 5k run a week all winter long. Canadian winter can be hard but running over the winter has helped me keep a 5k pace of 30-31 min at 258lbs. Yeah, I know I’m a big boy! I’m happy I have this app. It does everything I need. Try it, you won’t regret it!

It used to be the best app. I am user since 2013, almost everyday runner and had the purchased version. They are cutting down features in every update now. In the recent update, I cannot even compare my own data for month and year as they want to get paid for that. What a shame. I may have to check out some other apps but am very disappointed to lose all my data since 2013.

Une vraie bon journal de course. J’aime beaucoup cette application qui me motive et me tiens engagé dans mon jogging nocturne et me comparer aux autres coureurs dans ma ville/région. Je peux également bien suivre ma progression quotidienne ou hebdomadaire.

Watch import. I have loved this app for over 5 years but now I have an Apple Watch and want to be able to import my workouts from it onto this app. Strava does it, but I don’t like Strava as much

Not working for me. App doesn’t seem to track my total running distance. Better to stick to my Nike app.

New font is too hard to read. The new black & white font is very hard on the eyes and not appealing at all, same as another user commented on. Even trying to choose a weather icon is difficult, as it is hard to distinguish between snow and rain because it all uses the new black and white thin font. I recommend changing back to how it used to be, which was in colour and the sun, rain, snow weather icons were easy to see at a glance.

Coaching vocal. J’adore votre appli. Je l’utilise depuis plusieurs années mais le coaching vocal ne fonctionne plus depuis la dernière mise à jour.

Précision. Très bonne application mais pas précise d’un téléphone a un autre, jusqu’à 10 % de différences

Not worth paying for.. Runtastic recently removed all features from their website. You cannot see any of your data online nor can you download any gps data from the site or app to use with other services. Very disappointed in the changes they’ve made without giving users any notice. I’m adding this edit after seeing the developer response below which is essentially the non answer they’ve been giving to all users. I urge anyone reading this that this app is not worth downloading at all. There are much better fitness apps out there with developers who actually respect their user base and paying subscribers. Runtastic has chosen to destroy a once terrific platform.

Manual entry. How come you cannot enter in a manual run or walk?

Awesome. I like it

Spotty, looses gps support settings. From time to time it would tell you that you have to allow location services. The problem is you will have those permissions already in place yet you will not get the map after your run leaving the details blank. I’m using iPhone 14 Pro Max and this is the only app with this type of glitch.

Motivation.

Awesome. Love this adidas running app

Shyte. They called me into paying for an upgrade telling me there be no ads. Now I get more ads and more crap popping up. I wish they would’ve left it alone and left it as Runtastic

Application pratique.

Awesome cycling app. I’ve only used for a short time and only use basic functions, but this works great for monitoring speed, duration and other basic info that I need as a recreational cyclist

Exporting difficulties. Doesn’t seem like this app likes to play nice with others. I’ve had multiple times now, where the workouts will not push any GPS data out to AppleHealth nor Strava. Of course, it’s always fun to spread the motivation that comes from working out and those other platforms integration is key to using this app as the front-end of the apple watch during a workout.

Stops responding randomly. Not sure why but it stops responding suddenly when I try to start tracking my run. Closing and reopening doesn’t work. Can you have a look at it please?

New version is so ugly. I like the app and have been using it for years, but the new version is so ugly. Why make things worst? Everything is black and white and the font is so much more uncomfortable on the eyes. I don’t get it.

It motivates. When not up for a run or a walk I look at the app and try to set a record or meet my goal for the day, works great for me

Adidas Running is a great app and help me to, run. to run and exercise. Amazing.

Versatility. A very functionally detailed exercise app that I’ve used so to date. Love the voice progress function while you’re exercising so you don’t have to keep looking at your phone or your smart watch. I’ve got it set to announce every minute my distance currently, distance per/hr and per minute plus much more. I encourage anyone to try this app first. 👍🏻

Distance goal. Please make it happen. If I se my goal for a certain distance, please pause at that distance

Doesnt work on the apple watch anymore. I use it and all work fine until the app doesnt work on the watch for no reason. The customer service cant help me. Poor stability

Apple Watch. Your latest update broke support for my Apple Watch. Please resume support from WatchOS6+.

A little disappointed!. I used the Runtastic app since 2012. The Pro version. Once Runtastic changed to the Adidas Running app I was disappointed that I could no longer see my stats, other than my daily or month view. No longer could I see my all time stats, I couldn’t even see my week stats, I couldn’t even compare my month or years anymore. And all because I have to pay for the premium version of that app, which is what I did when I went to the Pro version of Runtastic. I think more should have been considered for users of Runtastic that have been using it for many years.

Problème de mise en pause fréquente. L’appli est très bien. Par contre, le timer se met en pause très souvent même lorsque nous ne sommes pas arrêté.

Some access errors. After system signed me out then I have tried several times using my existing gmail account to connect/singIn and was getting errors.

FYI. I have been on this app for over a year. Now am unable to open and use. It won’t let me open it to start now. What’s up with this

Great running app. We use as a family for hiking, trail running and running. Allows a place to track our performance as individuals and a family or competitive group. Been a user since before Adidas took it over and now enjoying the Adidas offers too. Adidas we need good shoes for hiking and running send us all coupons through the app and provide online discount codes please

Great performance coach; Just one thing. I really like this app. It tracks data I need, including speed and cadence, elevation and miles, maps, course creation...and it is very easy to read and program. In addition, I really enjoy the well-constructed training programs. I use Runtastic and the Results app to guide my training. What keeps me from using it exclusively and on every run? Live Tracking. WHY that feature is connected only to social media is beyond me. It tells me that this app is not really focused on helping me improve my performance, but is instead only intended to advertise itself. I use social media, but I am not a junkie. If I am out on a hike, run, or paddling adventure, I do not want to share it with everybody. I don’t want Facebook having access to everything I do. I DO WANT to share it with a few people through phone messaging. If that feature were to be included, I’d give this app five stars.

Good Running App. This is a good running app to have to keep a record of your running progress. My only minor complaint is that it doesn’t have an option for you to announce your progress for every 1/2 mile in addition to every mile. Currently,It only announces progress every mile. It also would be nice if you could input calories burned and other information if you worked out on a treadmill. Good app though.

, the calorie counter stop working. Anytime I accidentally swipe the app off my screen and then I go back to resume work out from where I left off the calories count set to zero but all other measurements start from where it was left off . The Apple Watch sometimes doesn’t sync with the app where my app counts everything and my watch only count the time and distance but not the calories I love this app but maybe it’s just the Apple features doesn’t work well with this app because when I had a droid I never had these types of problems .

Really liking app. But it’s badly missing a feature. Most people have multiple shoes. And one of the best things about the app is tracking how many miles you’ve put on it. Currently, you can only choose which shoe you used after your exercise is done AND only from your iPhone. Would love to be able to choose before you start AND also be able to choose from the Apple Watch.

Feedback from someone who recruits new runtastic users. I just started running during Covid, and have since fallen in love. I started a group of family, co workers and friends and am almost up to 30 members. I like runtastic, but wish it allowed for better social media interactions. I think either allowing for the mentioning, or @‘ING of other members, or groups would greatly improve this. Also, a more detailed look at your friends run stats should be allowed.

Great Activity App.. Recently I switched from the Nike run app to adidas. Keep in mind that I used the Nike app for over 12 years, so this is a big deal. PROS - This app can be used to track multiple activities. On a regular basis I run, walk (my dog) bike, and play pickup basketball. This app tracks all of them. - You can cancel the countdown at anytime. - Has not dropped my activity mid run. - User friendly - The ability to challenge your activity - You can track shoe mileage from other companies. - The pause function reacts quickly to sudden stops. CONS - Need more preset photos, or change them regularly. - Price is a bit much, but you get what you pay for. You will feel better if you divide the annual fee by 12. - Add stickers. Sounds cheesy, but people really like to use these when they share activity. -

Pretty decent for being free. I love this app- I have used it since it was just runtastic- I also use their road bike app. The app is fairly accurate to distance and tracking speed- my one complaint is that if you are standing still the distance continues to tick up at a slow pace- so it is not accurate there- so if you stop make sure to pause the tracker...depending on how long I stop for I sometimes forget to unpause it (my problem)- but that is really my only complaint. Considering getting the paid version for conditioning workouts.

So annoyed.. I want to use this app because I’ve heard good things about it but when it has you fill out information (name, gender, email, country, and date of birth) it won’t allow me to enter in my email. I tried pressing continue to see if I could somewhere else on the app but I have to have my email typed in in order access the app. 😡 I tried deleting the app and re downloading it but it does the same thing. There’s no tab or anything in the Support page to try to figure it out and I can’t find an email to talk to someone about it. 0 stars would not recommend. Very disappointed

Solid app. Sometimes it’s a little glitchy connecting to Apple Watch, especially if starting activity through the watch, but mostly works well. Difficulty controlling music through the app via the watch. HR updates when running to help push yourself or hold back and easily achieve desired exertion level. Wish the pace per mile still gave you the fastest mile outside the splits, like when it was my coach. Overall, works well for a variety of activities.

I love it! It’s reliable!. Runtastic is great! I used the Nike app for years and racked up over 700 miles, but something happened. Their app started shutting down in the middle of my runs, which is traumatic when your obsessive about keeping up with your time, pace, etc. I gave them about a month to fix it but couldn’t risk logging any more runs. But with Runtastic I haven’t had any problems. I can challenge my friends, log my runs, walks, biking, or whatever. I love it!

Had Runtastic pro forced to switch. Tried to use my Runtastic Pro app and was told it was deactivated and to download the Adidas Running app with same login credentials. First off, there’s nothing like being about to begin your exercise and having to download a new app, search for your password, reconfigure all of your settings, preferences etc, redo all your permissions and then have to reconnect your app. But then also in the new app I keep seeing “unlock premium” I already had paid for the “pro” app so this seems like I was hugely inconvenienced as a way for them to try to get more money out of my pocket. NO THANKS. I WILL GO BACK TO USING RUNKEEPER.

Best app of a horrible category of apps. While I am running, I want to track my distance, time, pace and heart rate (from Polar monitor). I want a delayed start, so I can tuck my phone away before I run. I want to be able to correct for the 5-10 seconds at the end of a run for the time to take my device out. I want to listen to music through my own app. No social features. No do you want to take a pic to capture this amazing run?” Runtastic is the least sucky app to do this, and still, I have to tap my screen FIVE TIMES TO FINISH A RUN. Please just add setting to remove all the crappy extra features and pop-ups. I did pay for this app, you know. It’s not ad-driven.

Thanks for the motivation. Earlier this year my husband and I decided jointly to take charge of our health and began a walking/running program, I didn’t realize then the importance of “good shoes.” After several shoe changes I found my way to the Adidas outlet to find the perfect shoe. After today’s walk we have 341.9 documented miles. Your app along with the shoes have made a huge difference in our walking program and our health.

Paid for premium membership but still don’t have access to features. Buyers beware.. Upgraded-to premium membership and still don’t have access to premium features. Contacted customer service and after showing proof of premium membership through apple and going through all the suggested steps (including deleting and redownloading app and restoring purchase..which btw deletes custom intervals you may have) was told that she would forward my issues to developers. I still don’t have acess. I am also a game changer level and a loyal addisas customer. I expected better from them. Very disappointed.

New phone, current app, can’t sign in. I’ve used my current Runtastic app on my old iPhone 5s, and it always put my data on Facebook once I put it in there. I have a new iPhone X, with the app transferred and I’m able to open it, but I can’t sign in. It won’t open with FB, and it won’t recognize my email. I’m not going to put a new account on here just to get the thing to work. I’m trying to get an answer through your help desk, but so far no response.

Good app!. I think this is a good app for runners of different levels. It’s really easy to use. And I love how it tracks your running. It has s journal you can complete after you run to see how you feel and track your improvement. There’s also a voiceover that tells you what mike you’re in and your pace. You can join a running community or complete challenges. Overall I haven’t had a problem and I use this regularly. I would recommend if you’ve been into running.

Love the app!!!. I started using this app once adidas announced that they weren’t continuing with micoach anymore. The app is easy to use, the gps works perfectly and the features are amazing. My only concern is that before, I could look at my actual mile spilt times rather than my average pace. I think with the newest upgrade they took that away. I’m wondering if I can view my actual split times rather than my average pace. If someone could answer my question, I would highly appreciate it!

One of the best free running apps there is!. I first downloaded Runtastic when I wanted to start running outside and tracking my miles. I love the features from motivation songs to letting you know your running times and distance while your running. I don’t have premium because I only run to stay in shape but if you’re an avid running I highly recommended you get premium, it tracks more miles and statistics!

Love it!. I’ve been using Runtastic for years (now Adidas Running) and I prefer it to other apps. It shows you your pace, elevation gain, distance, calories burnt, etc. and it works great with the Apple Watch! I like that it tells me every time I’ve hit another mile. I definitely like it more because of how many years of data I have on this app, but the features themselves work great every time Strongly recommend any runner to give this a shot!

Most of the time…. Most of the time I sync from Garmin to Adidas. I’ve noticed that when I do, I lose 0.01 per run (example: 1 mile is 0.99 mi). It not a big deal as it’s correct on Garmin, just noticed that it may make me miss a challenge Lol. Also, not a fan of the new logo. It blends in and sticks out at the same time because of the “wave”. It also makes the logo a little harder to read because even though it looks like the background is moving the logo itself isn’t, like it was an afterthought.

Love the app… except. I absolutely love this app! All of its features like voice coach and shoe mileage tracking are great. My only issue is that the gps data from runs doesn’t sync with Apple Health. It appears to send everything else from the workout, but I have to go on to the actual website to export the GPS data (which can only be done once every 7 days). It’s kind of a pain, and is the one thing I think is holding the app back (at least to me).

Useful for Adidas. I paid for Runtastic a few years ago. I believed in the app and was willing to pay to get rid of the adds. Adidas took over, and the adds are back. That is not what I paid for. Adidas responded with “As a member of the adidas family and because we want to offer you the best tools to reach your goals, we occasionally show you the newest training gear or special offers for our training plans.” Adidas, that is adds I specifically paid to be rid of. Nobody needs your special textiles pushed in their faces to use a progress tracker. Can I have my money back?

You don’t have to be a runner to love this app!. I think Runtastic is amazing. I recommend it anytime someone will listen. I only walk, but this app is perfect for me. It links with my weight management app automatically. The real time map showing me my route as I walk it actually got me safely back to my car. I was in a big park and got lost on trails I didn’t know. By watching the map and my movements I was able to backtrack and get out of the woods.

Runtastic without adidas was way better. The Runtastic app in general is great and works fine. But I liked it much better before it was sold to adidas. The newsfeed is cluttered with invitations to challenges and blog entries. I don‘t care about those. I just want to see how my friends or I are doing on our regular runs. I can‘t find a way to hide these blog entries and challenges. There should definitly be the possibilty to opt out. Also, since adidas „killed“ the Runtastic web profile I lost the good way to compare the running progression from the past years. Runtastic was fantastic. With adidas it‘s just average.

No joke!!!. I’ve tried another calorie counter app, and it was okay. The problem was that it didn’t have as many exercise activity selections as Runtastic does. It also didn’t seem as accurate and gave me really weird values for my workouts. I absolutely love this app! My fiancé and I both use it and I’ve lost more than I thought I could. It’s perfect for anything that you want to do, especially cycling!

Why just running? You should be able to choose speed walking or walking.. Thank you for replying and showing me how to change to different sports. Fantastic job!! Not everyone runs especially after knee replacement you should be able to choose walking and build towards running.

Long time user. I’ve used this app for running and for tracking my workouts for years. The running plans have given me structure and motivated me. It also prepared me well for races. I have been able to see my progress with mileage and pace and helped me keep track of where I’m going with GPS. The bonus is earning points towards purchasing Adidas gear if you are consistent with your workouts.

Unable to connect. I’ve been unable to connect for a week now, and can’t even log out of the app. It just says there’s an error connecting to the servers. I’ve never seen that happen, to not be able to even log out of an account. This means I can’t update weight or sync any of my runs so I have 6 runs in the app before noticing the problem that I’d rather not lose. Same problem in the Adidas training app, and tried deleting that and reinstalling only to end up still stuck logged in unable to connect. I was about to try premium, looks like instead I’m losing data and moving to another app. Shame, I liked the watch app and some of how the phone app works.

Interval Running. Let me start with I hate running! But after signing up for a Disney run with my girlfriends I started doing interval training and after recommendations from a few runners I know I decided to give it a try. The fact that you can use the voice trainer(announces time and pace) with out paying for the premium membership is awesome. I set it to go off every 2 minutes this keeps me from having to stare at my watch for the entire run to make sure I stay on time

2 Features we need. The adidas app is a great sports companion and I love tracking my workouts with it. Two features I miss though are: 1) Let us see more data while doing a workout. Right now I have two choose between 4 data points (Duration, Time, etc.) It would be great if we could choose to have more then 4. I also would like to see my current heart rate for example. So shrink the map view and add some ore space for additional data in the activity screen. 2) It would be great if we could also track different sports equipments instead of only shoes. I like the tracking how many miles I used a specific shoe but I also would like to see how many miles I put on a specific bike or in my case roller skates. Please add this feature in one of the future releases.

Has room for improvement. Two main complaints: 1. Voice coach stops functioning in the middle of the run randomly. Voice coach settings are on. Music continues playing through Bluetooth. After I restart the app, it may or may not work again. This has a mind of its own. Same happened on two different phones. Please fix 2. Needs to have «avarage pace” voice prompt - not only for the last mile, but current average pace. It only will give you total average at the end of activity. This is necessary to know to make adjustments for a long run. If both are fixed, it would be a 5-star app

Solid App. This app is solid. Not to many bells and whistles. It tracks your distance even if you aren’t getting enough signal. Easy to use. Easy to start and stop app. I’ve used it for about three or four years now. It used to belong to another company but it was so awesome I guess Adidas purchased it. I’ve used 5 or 6 apps since 2012 when that type of technology kicked in and this has been the best one.

Workouts don’t stop when workout is over. I have had this app for a while and I have enjoyed it for the most part. My biggest complaint is that when I finish a workout, I manually have to tell it to stop and finish. It should automatically stop the workout when it is done. I hope that this gets fixed. If it does get fixed, it will become a 5 star app for me.

Recent Problems. I’ve had the Runtastic app for about 8 years. No problems whatsoever. Now with Adidas, the app starts fine and tracks my progress, however when I press stop on my Apple Watch, it spins and spins but never completes the workout. I’ll try to force close it on both the watch and iPhone and it still won’t stop!! It takes about 10 minutes and it finally stops on its own but that’s ridiculous. Because of the time it takes between when I press stop and when it actually decides to stop the workout, my data is all messed up. I. An never challenge a workout because the time is inaccurate.

Help! What happened??. I have a 6 week running plan about to end, and I wanted to look at the other ones to see what I wanted to do next but I was shocked to notice that the app had updated and I couldn’t find the plans anymore!! Is there something I’m just not seeing?!? I would like to start another one— but I can’t find them😭 Should customer support not answer me, if ANYONE knows what happened, I would greatly appreciate it if you gave your answer with the hashtag #hereswhathappened in your title! Thank you in advance!

App to have!. I really love this App. I have been using it for many years now and it’s been great at keeping track of all my activities from running, walking, cycling and spinning. I have recommended this App to many friends and family members, so I’ll do the same to you, especially if you’re into multiple activities and want to keep track on one App. Get it!! You won’t be disappointed.

Can’t manually select shoe in version 13.1 or newer. Ever since the 13.1 version update, I cannot manually select or update what shoe was used during a run. I rely on that feature to know when it is time to replace my shoes. Please fix this!!!! Also, I agree with all other comments on here… the new user interface that is all black and white with no color is very ugly! I’ve been using this app for many years and this was a huge step backwards… not sure how anyone thinks this looks better. Between the shoe selection broken and horrible user interface, maybe it is time to find another running app… what a shame!

Fix it!. First, I had runtastic pro and it worked great. Then today it kept saying servers down. So I find out it’s cuz I updated my phone and now I had to download this app which replaced mine. Well, I lost my paid for pro status!! And when I pressed start, there was no countdown even tho it’s turned on, then it just started, but the button still said “start”, so I ran, and then I tried to stop it but it wouldn’t because it still said start! So I had to quit the app in order to get the stop and save option. And then when I opened it back up to look at my run details it just said oops sorry there was a problem. If you’re going to make a perfectly good app stop working, you should make sure the new one works!!!

Absolutely awful redesign. Might drop the app after 5+ years of it being my go-to (loved the old design’s ease of use and friendly UI). The new UI design is flat, uninspiring, hard to read/navigate, and just plainly sad. Specifically: the color palette is black and brown (ugh), the fonts are all over the place in terms on size, type, weight, treatment (italics! Whyyyyy?) - making trying to parse through my data or navigate between sections nearly impossible, the icons (while nice on their own) are hard to discern from one another when used together on a screen. Please please please improve this UI, at least make it readable and add some color for the sake of our eyesight.

Loosing Users. I have used Runtastic for years to track my running and workouts. Now I have been having issues with GPS tracking for about the last 2 months and following all of the ‘fix it’ steps have not successfully fixed anything. My main issue is that on top of no longer being a quality tracker I can now only access a few of the features I have always used unless I pay the outrageous YEARLY fee! Runtastic needs to go back to the basics or at least allow for smaller size purchase packs for people that only want one of their apps.

Every “improvement” is worse. The most recent change is the so-called “fadeout” of Routes. I noticed today, Wednesday, April 7 that it was no longer an option to choose a route when setting up an activity. Searching the help, I found some info supposedly posted “Monday” that I had until April 6 (i.e. Tuesday) to download any I wanted to save. There was never an announcement during app updates for the last 6 months and I never saw an alert during my daily usage of the app, except the usual come-ons to upgrade to Premium. I tried to contact support, but since I am unable to log in on the website for some reason, I have come here to register my displeasure. I found this to be my favorite running app when I started this activity, but following those old routes that I had made years ago (when that was still possible) was really the only reason I was still using Runtastic. Two stars because it’s one of the only apps that tells you your cadence in the free version. Goodbye.

Data loss, lack of support, complete disaster. All of my data is completely lost, I cannot see the groups I am in, my previous workouts, friends, leaderboard, nothing! it shows that I am logged in, but I cannot change anything on my profile and cannot log out. When I wanted to write to the support, I couldn’t because it wanted me to log in ( even though I am logged in when you enter my profile), and even when I tried doing that, it of course did not work. This app is seriously broken, I have no idea how could it pass the test to be on this store! I even went to their website which said that they do not have the web support anymore 😳

Good app. I have tried other running apps that do similar things: GPS distance tracking, map, elevation, pace, calories, etc. This one doesn’t glitch (several others have). I have an iphone with the latest update (May 2019). Perhaps other apps work better with different devices? Either way, this updates pace seemlessly and is really easy to use. I like the countdown before activity (run). I do not use a smart watch so I cannot comment on that

Solid running app. I like the app, but it won’t pair with my heart rate monitor now (reinstalled, reset monitor, reset network settings...no luck). The HR monitor will pair with polar app and runkeeper, but I prefer Runtastic. It was great at this for a while. I’ll try again after the next update. Update: I worked with support on this initially but they did not have a fix. After a couple iOS upgrades and a couple Runtastic updates, the HR monitor is working again. Thanks for your efforts Dev team!

Amazing!!. I use it everyday to track my miles and calories either while running, or on a machine like the treadmill or elliptical. It’s very useful and I enjoy it very much! I only wish that the miles you accomplish while on a machine would count toward your yearly mile goal. I suppose they don’t count because you input the miles you do on a machine manually since the app cannot calculate how many since they are not tracking you..... Other then that, it’s a great app and I love how you can connect it to MyFitnessPal.

Doesn’t integrate w/ website. Okay here’s my biggest beef w/ this app: Although it feeds into Health and Workouts++ (great, right?!? But wait, there’s more) and takes in data from other Adidas apps such as: Six pack, push-ups, squats, etc, the info from the other Adidas apps are only tracked ON-LINE! I mean, really? What’s the point of that? Why isn’t everything centralized? It wouldn’t be all that bad, but the only two apps that seem to provide data to Apple Health & Workouts++ are Runtastic and Runtastic Results. However, to use Results, you have to pay. What a shoddy deal!

Workout blocked because of ad. Once again Runtastic team - but WHY??? I'm on the latest version of your app on my iPhone and Apple Watch. But the last three days I was NOT able to smoothly start my workout. Each time I try to start the workout on the watch, it just hangs. Then I have to take off my gloves, pull out my phone and what do I see when I open the Runtastic app - a stupid ad about the Premium plan. Only after clicking that ad away, the app on the watch will be unlocked and continue. After putting my phone away and my gloves back on, I can finally start my workout. That doesn't make sense. And even worse, I complained about that already multiple times before, and I thought you had fixed that. But now it's either back or still there. Please STOP that - you can show ads in the phone app, but that MUST NOT block the use on the watch (regardless of the configuration of the watch use)

No widget/compilation option on Apple Watch. I like that you can control your music from the app screen on my Apple Watch. This was a step up from Runkeeper. However, two stars dropped because there is no option to add a quick button from your Apple watch interface. Instead, I have to scroll through my list of apps in my in my watch to start my workout. Please add the option to have a quick access button on the Apple Watch compilation screen… it’s worth two stars in my opinion. And top competitors have this option, no brainer.

Cheap. Update- interested to see if any changes will be made that developer suggested. I have been using the Nike run app for the past two months which I like, but I do miss this one, just will not pay premium for data that should be free to access by anyone. I used to love Runtastic so much. So disappointed in how it’s turned out. I hate being forced into monthly or yearly subscriptions. Just to see how many miles I ran this year? Come on guys, so so cheap. On my end, I will be going on social media and blasting to anyone I know to avoid this app and look at the other ones which offer far more without locking you into a financial commitment. Thanks a lot, used to be such a good thing too. 😞
