Good but I have lost with every update.. I bought the software many years ago for $500 plus. The reason I purchased it was because of all the resources. With every update I lost books and even purchased books. I can now buy books I used to have with my original purchase! Totally ridiculous. At least I got to keep the ones that are public domain. I am incredibly unhappy. Those of you who purchased the “newer” version at least you do get to upgrade to the newer functionality. I was told I get to buy a whole new version to get this particular advance. I have had the software for 20 years. I get it its old but those of us who helped in the beginning shouldn’t have to pay for an entirely new software. As I said before I lost a lot of resources because of all these wonderful upgrades and updates. As they say: ”We’re a tech company committed to the Church.” That is true. As long as one can afford it.

Incredibly well thought. Logos is a fee-based product, offering a ton of very up-to-date resources (plus all of the classical resources one gets with free products). In terms of overall cost, Logos is fairly expensive, but worth the cost. In terms of the app, very nicely done. One swipes to the left or right to view different resources, or clicks an internal link, etc. It is very easy to navigate, which is important considering how many resources one might use in a given study. I would like the app to have the same functionality as the desktop version (Sermon Editor, for example, is view-mode only in the app), but I imagine that the app would be even larger still. As I use my iPad while writing my sermon by hand or typewriter, and then on the desktop, I don’t find this an issue. Logos is very impressive overall. The app is very well thought.

Resourceful when you’re seeking God. I’ve had this app for a long time. A previous pastor showed me and he used it in Bible Studies. Over the years, events have taken place in my life and I wasn’t sure what to do! I would write down my concerns or what’s troubling my mind with a list of similar words. Then I’d do a word search using the Bible Study tool and glance through all the Hebrew and Greek words translated into the English word. Then I’d skim the verses to find a Bible story or situation similar to mine. Then I’d search additional resources (dictionaries, topical bibles, specialized topical books, etc) for additional insight. Saved me WEEKS & MONTHS of research. I had a better understanding of what God would do, which gave me his peace, improved my faith, and I decided with confidence! Thank you Logos!

Love the update except for one annoyance.... **Update - Adding a star for amazing customer response. My Recents are already back! Thanks so much for bringing such a powerful and easy to use reference tool! The new update with tabs is phenomenally helpful, making it very easy to switch between several references easily. But in the update one helpful feature was dropped. In looking up references, you had three choices for selection: Verse, Contents and Recent. The Recent choice allowed me to bounce around several resources but easily look back to where I had started from and return to it. This is especially useful when I am studying through a book but then bounce around other books while listening to a message. It’s very easy to see, and return to, where I was in the book I was studying through. Now the choices are Verse, Contents and Favorites. Not nearly as useful as I will have to remember to select a passage as a Favorite before going anywhere else. Please give me my Recents back. :)

Great content but iPad app lacks usability. I usually use the desktop app. It would be convenient to be able to use the iPad app, but there are too many shortcomings for me. No stacked tabs, so I have to swipe, but I have multiple panes on a single tab and what I want is often on a different tab that is out of view. Writing notes, circling text, highlighting, etc could be so much easier if I could just choose a pen. One major drawback of any platform, there is no easy way to go to the next/prev annotation in a resource. I have to open the notes and filter on resource. But then the notes are in chronological order, not page order, and highlights and underlines don't show the text being annotated. It's even more tedious on the pad, where I have to click on so many things to do things that other apps do naturally with the pencil. I'll be trying to scroll through the list of annotations, and end up drawing, or swiping to another tab. I just want to go to the next note/annotation and it seems like the app just fights me.

Logos is a great tool!. As a Worship Pastor, lover of the Word, and just all around passionate disciple of Christ, I have so appreciated the in depth level of study I can get from the tools given me through Logos Bible software. I love the cross platform functionality it provides for me (iMac, iPad, iPhone, etc.), and the way I can access all of my library from multiple devices and apps (at times I honestly do not understand the benefit of this though? (e.g. Faithlife, Ebooks, etc.,)). The only real negative I have is how much time can be spent researching (not that the tool/app is slow, but the lack of restraint from the present author)! I am a researcher by nature, and this tool is a deep well of endless researching capabilities that if one is not careful will result in hours of time being spent on a single word from your Bible reading plan that day that you never really noticed before! And we’re off, Bible Word study opens, oh I never knew that is what that meant, and then dictionaries lead to more searches, searches lead to guides being opened, and on and on it goes! It is delightful, but one must learn to manage it well! Haha Thank you Logos team for a great resource!

Needs So Much Work. This app needs much work. There’s no apparent way to edit tags made in notes. For instance, I want to delete a tag completely from my tags list and there’s no way to do that. I want to edit a tag and there’s no way to do that. I have to restart the app several times as the select feature stops working and will only work again once I restart the app. Every time I want to search on a word or perform another task in another resource, even though an instance of that resource is already open, it opens another instance of that same resource making it so that I have multiples of the same resource open. I’m guessing some folks might like that however a choice would be most helpful. What I find with the scrolling feature when 2 books are synced to scroll together, they don’t scroll to the exact same verse. Notes filter doesn’t work well if I want to work with 2 or 3 different notebooks at the same time. Also while working with notes, whenever I move to another resource and come back to my open bible/notes, my place in my notes has to be located again and it appears that some of my notes are missing (though by clicking on the note name, I discover that they hadn’t gone anywhere—just temporarily appear to be missing.) At least one open resource doesn’t allow to get back to any other open resource without restarting the app. This wonky app makes bible study time-consuming with no easy flow.

Will not load-update. I like to take my time and use an app (I don't write that many, unless I am VERY happy or have other strong comments) before I write a review. However, it is hard to use an app that will not open. I have just started to use the Logos app a fair amount, when all of a sudden it will not open. A Bible you can not open is not worth having. One must always be able to access the Bible you are carrying. Stability is more important than features. All the features in the world are of no use if you can not open the app. After deleting and reinstalling now loads, however, not always on the first try. I do like Logos Bible App even if it is a little buggy. I will update again sometime. Also, wish I could do at least some continuous scrolling ESP. on the phone. How do I copy a passage to send to someone?

An honest assessment!!. Logos is a genius application/ forum. It’s a “one stop shop”! I love the fact that it has lots of literary options to choose from. Logos has an application that can be shared with friends from church, work, school, or even a online bible study group that was put together on social media! This app has tools that I’ve found to be extremely useful. This app makes studying and even navigating through references easier, especially when I’m preaching. It allows me to flow through the subject matter seamlessly! The daily bible study guide, commentary, and lexicons are amazing! There are a few things that I would like to see made easier, more accessible, and available. But its flaws are eclipsed by its pure awesomeness!! I mean could you imagine what the actual full version can do? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT AND CANT IMAGINE USING ANYTHING ELSE!!!!!

Love this app!. I’ve been wanting to go deeper in my faith and understanding of Gods word. Logos has everything you could ever want in a Bible study resource. There are a TON of features, and it does take a few hours to get used to and find your style of study within the app, but once you do it is incredibly satisfying. I love the fact that you can purchase additional resources from their library to take your studies to the next level. They did an incredible job of taking the desktop app and seamlessly turning it into a mobile app that has all of the same functionality. That’s not something you often see in apps with this many features. If you are looking for ways to grow closer to God or just study Christianity, look no further than Logos.

Difficult to use. I started out with this software when it was Thompson Chain Bible Study for computer in 1998. It’s been sold and renamed many times over the years. When it was Wordsearch it was the easiest to use and then technology moved to tablets. When I went to iPad instead of computer wordsearch wouldn’t transfer my books to the app and said I would have to buy my books again so I went to Olive Tree app. When I got the notice that another company have bought wordsearch and my books would finally transfer I use it as read only because I had so many notes in Olive Tree. Now logos has the app. I’m sorry buy I find it very difficult to use his app. I want to like it but I don’t see it happening. It highlights when I don’t want it, simply by trying to move down the page to read. I can’t delete the highlight. The help in totally useless. It wasn’t bad until the last 2 update. I find it very irritating because over the years I have invested thousands of dollars in books that can only be used in the app, I have over 5,000. I admit many I don’t use anymore, the commentaries are the ones I use the most. Please make logos more user friendly or restore wordsearch.

Great step in the right direction!. I was glad to see the overall change in the layout of the app. The tab idea is genius and should make mobile bible study much more efficient. As other users have reiterated, more care to the note function would be nice as well as eventual inclusion of a sermon editing feature. I preach directly from my iPad, and upon occasion as I am prompted by the crowd, the Holy Spirit or something I forgot to include, it would be nice to on the spot edit my sermon content. Lastly, if personal books could ever be synced to my iPad that would make this app head and shoulders above any others of its kind. Also, scriptures within a sermon do not seem to hyperlink when accessed from a mobile device, only when viewed on a computer. Overall glad to see the update, keep up the good work!

Love my Bible program!. I sometimes stop and ponder if I really need the power of Logos, with all its bells and whistles, since I am just a Christian who love the Word of God and studies it each day. But I have been using the basic program for years and just can’t see going away from it. I am so pleased with the ability to customize my Bible Reading Plan; the ability for side-by-side versions of the same Scripture that I’m studying; the dictionary - for those words that stump me; and the great commentaries to help me understand. Yes, I feel it is the ‘Cadillac’ of Bible programs, and I love it! I’m an iPhone and iPad user also, and the ability to use a mobile device or my desktop PC interchangeably is just outstanding! May God continue to bless Logos with awesome programmers and other staff to continue improving an already awesome program!

Taking Notes and View Scripture is STILL a Pain. The new version is an improvement, but my issues still remain unaddressed. Please let us open AND CREATE by default our notes and community notes as a secondary document. Original Review: I really enjoy using Logos on my computer. I use the iOS application to keep track of my prayer list, do my daily scripture/devotional reading, and review bible study notes before bible study. One major things keeps me from giving this application five stars. It is essentially impossible using my old iPad (4th generation) or even my new iPad Pro 10.5” to simultaneously take notes and review scripture. This is a HUGE drawback. If you try to review surrounding scripture, it closes (and saves) your note. If you are doing a public note, you CANNOT edit the note after it saves. iOS now allows me to use the ESV bible app with the Logos app so I now can (finally) not have several bibles out during worship services (I look like I am working on a term paper each Sunday morning). Logos should allow me to take public notes while using their application by default. I cannot imagine a circumstance using an iPad where you want the note to freeze your reading materials.

Please improve text comparison feature. Great app in concert with the desktop version but the mobile text comparison feature needs improvement. This is one of the most common things I do and would love to do all my studies within the logos ecosystem for sake of simplicity but this feature just doesn’t work well. I often find myself using the YouVersion app instead as it just seems to work the smoothest for text comparison than any other app I’ve used. Please let us choose which Bibles we want to see and not see in the tool as well as the order we see them. Also give the option to get rid of the those red bubbles which often make things confusing and the “% difference” indicator. Thank you for listening!

Great App. Really enjoy this app for Bible Study preparation and notes. There are seemingly endless resources that can be purchased and utilized in this app, though that can quickly become cost prohibitive. There are also many free resources available. I think the user interface could improve in terms of note taking capabilities. I have used Notability every day for the past 3 years, which has spoiled me a bit, and I have used OneNote on and off over that time, and comparatively, the note taking features are lacking, but still usable. I will say that there is definitely a learning curve when you first start using this app as everything is not overly intuitive. But overall, I am pleased with the app. I hope that it will continue to be improved on a regular basis.

World-class. Occasionally frustrating.. Logos is an amazingly powerful tool with no equal. That said, using it on iPad (or mobile) is occasionally incredibly frustrating. Somehow, mouse integration doesn’t really work; you have to resort to tapping, since the app stops responding to clicks. Highlighting acts bizarrely; it will either highlight too much or not enough. Finally, the app is not 1:1, capability-wise, with the desktop app. There are random things you can’t do unless you use Logos on Windows or Mac. For example, if you want to use the Text Comparison tool, you’re unable to pick the bibles to choose from unless you do so on desktop. Unfortunately for me, I don’t have a computer running Mac or Windows, so I have no ability to choose my translations. There are also other tools, like the Psalm Explorer, that inexplicably aren’t available on iOS despite being available on web.

Good but...a few tweaks. I have evolved in my use of logos so my experience has touched all platforms, desktop, iPads, and now iPhone. Now iPhone has been my go to platform for its mobility, it slips into my pocket right? The others can’t do that. I talk to a lot of people one on one about the gospel and theological issues. This app gives me freedom to do that without leaving notes behind. At any moment I can be talking to someone and have all resources at my thumbs. So where is the rub so to say? Imagine this; you could still Ike up a conversation with a stranger on the street. I always assume I have only minutes to give the gospel into their hands. Most of the time I don’t need logos but when I do I need turbo performance. I pull my phone out get up logos find reference, easy enough right? The next move is a cap shoot, when I need the drop down options to pop out at the top and bottom of the phone. They as mad to hide, which is good. I swipe up, nothing, I swipe down, nothing, left right tap tap tap, what the heck is the problem. Then later when the conversation is over, there it is like a mole. Can you spell FRUSTRATION... three stars for now. Too I hav a major frustration with the desktop app. I have to call in for that. Can’t type that fast.

Growing in Grace & Knowledge of God. I have been putting off writing this review because when I am studying I get so engulfed in the Word and resources of Logos, that I didn’t want to stop studying! Today, since I haven’t started studying yet😀! 😂, I do want to share with anyone who is serious about studying the Bible,& learning about the God of the Bible, I highly recommend this amazing tool! It has helped in my personal growth, it has helped me come to know my Savior in a deeper more intimate way. I am learning the ♥️ of God as I study. I know this is a long review; I guess I waited too long to share😇. Because of Logos, I have built an online Bible study group, that encourages others to join me as we dig deeper into the Word of God! The depth of resources available in this tool is unimaginable! My study group said” feel lime I am in Seminary! “ I 💕 Love Logos, I Love it on my phone. I wish I had found it sooner! Get it today and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO GROW IN THE GRACE(that we’ve been given while procrastinating about being serious about Jesus!) and KNOWLEDGE of our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. ”But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.“ ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭

Mobile App 2022 Not as Good as it Was. Using the mobile App on iPad the highlighting is basic and doesn’t have the versatility it did have to be able to highlight multiple choices over a word or sentence. The screen is not as versatile as it was before where you could slide the dividing line between books/Bible and make it the size you wanted or needed; now your choice in size and layout is pre-determined. Why they made these changes when they had an exceptional App to begin with makes it irritating to use to limit the flexibility it did have & dumbs a person down. UPDATE: The highlighting remains as versatile as it was before, but the pop-up box is not large enough to show what a person has highlighted and can make additional highlighting or highlight over those same words. On my screen it is very difficult to see a person needs to scroll or slide up to see there is more in that pop-up box. Sometimes the pop-up box shows specific highlight and sometimes it isn’t visible unless you know to slide the pop-up box screen up. The screen is pre-determined with options to size it, but I haven’t found the center slider that lets you make your own size dividing/splitting the screen between books/Bibles.

Best compiled package. Logos bible software in indicative of the name "Word" bible software. It brings in depth accessibility, language (Hebrew, Greek) and understanding to us who are serious about studying to show ourselves approved of the word. Not knowing the original language, culture and setting, can often bring misleading and incorrect teachings, now that's a thing of the past. Revelations from the Holy Spirit can now be cemented with proper exegesis to reach the lay person or the learnt intellectual alike. Technology has given us wonderful tools and the immediate access to resources when He changes our message or speaks, is wonderful with the portable tools such as iPads and iPhones. However; let's not leave the Holy Spirit out of the Logos when we deliver, Amen Logos! I am continually recommending Logos to my students and people who are serious about their spiritual life. Those who have tried it has seen the benefits in your souls and natural lives. Logos software was become a staple of their diet. Con: If someone is not fluent and an excellent speller using the search will be a setback. Aid in spelling would be good as most word search engine does. Sales is pushed a lot, something personal could be given back on birthdays to show application for those who buy and support a lot. Apostle Dr. Williams Kingston, Jamaica

Professional Grade Bible Research software!. Professional-grade Bible study/research software! Professional level software for Bible research, study, and heavy duty graduate or Ph.D. level Assignments where every prof is gonna want an excellent research paper from you! Of course, I’m not speaking of the Logos app you download free. The Logos starter app available for download is pretty powerful in its own right. But as soon as possible you should upgrade to the Professional Logos apps which will make short work of several major research papers. After University or seminary, Logos Bible software will help you continue to grow in the Christian faith and your relationship with God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit! Logos is fantastic and rewarding on a daily basis. Worth the extra expense and steep learning curve! academic work while attending seminary! I have been using Logos Bible Software for over 15 years and it has really made my academic/seminary work easy! Most importantly, my heavy pastoral responsibilities (preaching, teaching, prayer, counseling) run smoothly. Highly recommended!

Great App for Growing in Knowledge of the Lord. Before downloading Logos, I was using the youversion Bible app. However, the update to include a daily devotional with click-through stories and videos was a needless distraction from God’s Word, and made me all too aware that the app was supporting and promoting, at best, a low interpretation of Scripture. Logos, on the other hand, works like a digital library. There is no pushing of any particular teacher. I appreciate the resources and tools for Bible study such as concordances, maps, dictionaries to help understand translations, and commentaries from Biblical teachers. I also like that every highlight color is able to be labeled. My favorite way to study the Bible is still without my phone. I like to flip through pages and feel the Bible at my fingertips, but this app is helpful to have as a supplement to my usual system of study. Recommended for serious students of the Bible! No gimmicks or feel-good fluff, just a library of materials to assist you in studying.

Improving but not very useful. The app is improving but it is my least favorite bible app. Two main issues are a lack of a coherent design philosophy that makes the interface inconsistent and confusing and sloppy implementation of the features that do exist. I tend to buy duplicate copies of Logos resources in olivetree if I want to use them on mobile. If bandwidth is available the web version of Logos is far superior no crashes much more functionality. Latest annoyances other than crashing are the inability to access tablee of contents or index in csb bible notes with out going to gen 1:1 or rev and manually scrolling. Inability to switch book to book in commentary sets. Olive tree does all these so I have to purchase more duplicate resources. By the way I would have posted these comments as feedback elsewhere if you had a method of providing feedback (your forums appear to not be actively monitored).

From a Church Msmbed. I have been studying the Word for the past 5 years of being a being a believer and the method I use, verse by verse with cross references, a dictionary, and concordance, everything I am looking for comes with this app. I purchased the NASB Bible because that is the one I use, and I purchased a commentary on 1st Corinthians. I had trouble finding different books on the apple App but when I called the excellent customer service I was able to go to the website and purchase what I needed and it appeared in my library immediately. This app is am Incredible tool and I look forward to digging “deep” for my weekly Bible Study group. I am also looking at the Bronze package for logos 9 which costs less that my current TV service(no eternal value) so I should be able to swing it when the time comes.

There when you are. Living in a time when time itself is sometimes hard to come by, it’s nice to have an app like Logos to turn to. Even if you only have a few minutes you can read something uplifting and encouraging from God’s word. A few minutes is better than nothing. I’m reading Systematic Theology. Ya...I know. Pretty deep. But, I taking it in small doses. With Logos I can read a little at a time and the app saves my place, so when I return I can pick up right where I left off. You really have the option to do whatever you want to do. You can either do a simple devotional and Bible study, or you can do an in depth study. This app has incredible resources cross-referencing ability at your fingertips. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys studying God‘s word...

Good app but font is horrible. It's a shame you cannot change the font, just size. Why can't we have the option of changing the text to display in a font for the user to choose. The default (and only) one is ugly. I would prefer a more classical, more pronounced serif one. Those are better for reading long texts. Some people like sans serif, though. People with dyslexia can really benefit from the Open Dyslexia font. Some people like monospace. Give us options. Olive Tree does a really good job at this, why can't you give us font options? Also, I have over two thousand resources. We should be able to favorite the resources we use the most in a separate section so that we can readily access them at any time. And please categorize the resources we own into bibles, devotionals, magazines, etc. like you do in the Logos store (check how Olive Tree does it). You already do that for the daily readings section with devotionals. Just apply it to all resources.

Online titles are great. Overall the product (desktop, laptop and mobile) is solid. I’ve had the logos 6 for a couple of years now and honestly I bought it thinking that I would use it way more often. Due to it being way more difficult to use than I thought it should be I quit using it until recently. After giving it another shot and a lot more time it’s been growing on me again. BE AWARE there is a BIG LEARNING CURVE for new users. The depth of study is incredible. Compared to other programs/Apps it is good, if your looking to invest some time and a chunk of change to study this is the one for you. If you don’t need a ton of resources than maybe consider an alternative. I’m not trying to dissuade anyone at all, but it can be a substantial investment so do your homework. Regards

Great Digital Library. I just love what Logos Bible Software does! It is a mighty robust library that is designed and crafted to provide nothing less than the best in research of many spiritual genres! I just don’t know what I would do or where I would be had it not been for Lord and these added tools in ministry. Those of us who preach and teach all the time as well as working on a secular job, truly value this tool. Keep up the great work of advancing this digital library for the advancement of the kingdom of God. More I can say but it would turn into a book. So many great features; the ease of access to information; the ability to prepare sermons and bible study effortlessly and the list goes on and on and on. Thank you Logos. It’s a little expensive but I truly understand and appreciate it for all it’s worth. I would never be able to afford these resources if I bought hard copies. I would never be able to go through so many different resources all at once without the clutter if I had hard copies. I would never be able to research manually through all the materials any other way. Okay I will just stop here……

Logos is great, but the app is limited. I’ve used the desktop version of Logos for years. It’s feature rich and wonderful. This app, if I didn’t have the prior experience of the desktop version, is also good. But knowing what Logos is capable of, I find the iPad app very limited: limited Facebook, limited resources, no offline search, no pronunciation, limited “info” window, limited contextual (“right click”) menu, limited Bible word study, no psalm explorer, etc. Why is this the case when more and more people are using tablets as their main computer? I can still use Logos to read, but if I need to do a study, I’ll need to pull out my laptop (which I otherwise no longer use) for the desktop version. Faithlife, please update the iOS version of Logos to include more of the features that make Logos so helpful.

Buggy!. I would love to give this app a great review. Unfortunately, I can’t do that. As most Logos users probably do, I use mobile devices to read. This is my primary method of reading the Bible, devotionals, commentaries, etc. The desktop version of Logos is solid, however, the iOS apps are filled with bugs when attempting access resources online AND offline. I’ve reported these problems weeks ago, even months ago, and I received no initial response. Two weeks later I had to call and report the issues again. Still no response. I escalated to my sales associate and someone finally contacted me via email with a message saying “we are working on it.” No follow-up since, over one to two months now. Still having the same problems. I would love to see these bugs are fixed so I can give this app a great review. My hope is that someone from Logos that can do something about these issues see this review and contact me.

GO DEEPER. I am really impressed with the abilities the Logos software enables me to have. Notes on scriptures. Word meanings and their origins. The original Hebrew and its pronunciations. Bible word studies and word searches. Cutting my search time down immensely so I may study more in depth and for longer. I can discover more scriptures using words I want to understand more fully in the amount of time it takes me to type the word. I can even access a nightly devotion and never lose my place. I can do everything on my phone so I am always ready to show my friends. It’s not just for pastors. It’s not just for sermon writing. This allows me a deeper study with My Savior. This is education at my desk or in my pocket so His word is ever before me. It’s an app with easy to use tools for the layman that he too may explore his Bible more fully and ‘Knock’ at the door. Seek and you may find. This allows me to seek ever more deeply and quickly. As a mom of five, time to study is short. The ability to go from page to page and reference to reference quickly is important. The ability to use the app anywhere helps because you never know when you may get a free moment or the urge to seek understanding.

Hopefully helpful critiques. This is really a wonderful app that has helped me organize my Bible studying and even do some inductive Bible study. I have one critique though, well two, and I think they could really make the app better. It has to do with the notes feature. I love that you can make notebooks and see all of the highlights and notes you have done in one place. I wish though that it would display the text that was highlighted their in the notes section, or at least the reference. This would really make the notes feature more useful, to go back and see what was highlighted quickly and find what you were looking for or catch themes or similarities easier. Right now you have to open the note and click them then it opens the chapter were it is, this is nice but cumbersome if you are looking for something or trying to study a theme with this tool. Another suggestion, I wish there was a preference/option to make certain highlighters default into a created notebook. For example, a place to make everything in pink highlighter pin could automatically go into a notebook called resurrection. This would really aid in topical study. Just a few hopefully helpful suggestions, thank you

Logos, it is worth the Price!. I purchased my first edition of Logos this year. At the start I did not like it, I even thought it was not user friendly. I would have not recommend this software due to the fact it was overwhelming. I contacted customer service with the idea of trying to get a refund, but instead I asked for help. Links were shared with me for training, and I decided I would give this Logos an honest try. It is now my go to bible study app for bible study. The mere information that can be found is incredibly easy to find. The more I use the program the more user friendly I see it to be. Each day I have grown to a deeper appreciation and love for it. My bible understanding and preaching has grown by finding this information. Please, if you partake in this program give it an honest shot, as it will change how you prepare to share God's Word. I started with the free edition and I am working my way up the ladder to the higher platforms. Today I am using Logos 10-Gold. Today I am a happy user! I would recommend this setup to anyone! They have packages for all budgets and payment plans to help get this in your hands.

Needs update. I feel that with the recent power of the new iPad’s, especially the iPad pros, the app should have followed suit to become more powerful. I believe having the same home page as the desktop version would be most beneficial, being able to scroll the cards. I would suggest perhaps making the iPad Pro versions as close to the desktop version as it is more powerful and able to do more. Love the app and use it daily just hope that a more modern update is in the works. Previous post: Still my favorite Bible study too especially now on the larger iPad Pro. I like that there are a lot of features from the desktop version and I hope that they continue to add more to the pro iPad. If I had to make a request I would add the crossword puzzle maker! What a great way to pass the time when traveling and using mobile devices! And the sermon editor document tool and also the visual word mapping.

Retired Air Force Chaplain. The app is awesome and I use Logos on my laptop for sermon prep and other research. I have been using Logos since approx 1992 when I entered seminary. I use the resources, such as the 365 Day Devotional Commentary, as a Bible reading companion daily. I am still familiarizing myself with its capabilities and features. E.g. How to get back to original place I was reading after reading from another resource where I was gathering more information. I have enjoyed being able to down load bible versions to have them available off line. I have also enjoyed the passage and exegetical search engines that I use in personal devotions, Bible study with others, or in chapel when other chaplain is preaching. So thank you for all your hard work in making it a more powerful research and search engine with each update.

Improved efficiency in my studies!. I’ve now tried a few different tools and combinations of tools to enhance my study experience and the Logos iOS iPhone and iPad app paired with the web and desktop version really has improved my efficiency in my studies. The user experience is very well designed and intuitive making it a pleasant and non distracting experience while studying. Additionally the ability to note scripture and automatically hyperlink directly to verses you reference is a massive time saver and creates a seamless experience when reviewing past notes in passing as you read through scripture. There are some opportunities for improvement related to UI viewing options I would like to see in the future such as scaling of the UI in the iPad version which would improve visibility when using more complicated layouts. Overall this app is a fantastic step in enabling better studying and reference for notes and additional resources all in one place.

Tabs Tabs everywhere, but not on the same screen. While I love Logos and the awesome capabilities it has, I think the IPad app version should mirror the way the desktop/web version works. Or have it’s own app, instead of there just being a generic mobile. There is more space for it to look like the desktop/web version, than the IPhone mobile app version. On days I can’t lug my laptop around, to be able to open the app on my IPad and not have to toggle between windows would honest be amazing. I’m wondering if that is going to be in the works at some point. I don’t mind using the web version, but to have it in the app....especially with the new logos 9, I was expecting some major update with the app. Other than this, keep up the good work, and thank you for bringing this wide knowledge database to our fingertips.

Virtually unusable. I have been with Logos since Logos 4 this app locks up so often it makes it so frustrating to use. It doesn’t help to delete the app and reinstall there’s no use downloading your books because they will freeze up the whole app freezes up so often it makes it virtually unusable. Very disappointed in the lack of technical expertise that is given to this app when other apps work just fine with books downloaded or not downloaded. I am astounded that faithlife/Logos has not invested in this app and it’s controversial use or I should say lack there of with all the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on this program you think they would put a little money from each of us into making this app more effective and more productive enough said.

The Logos Bible! Getting better but can always improve.. The dev team is awesome. They are really working hard to making this app a great study and resource tool. The app is getting a lot more user friendly and easier to study. It is not the desktop app but it is getting there. I use the app more than I use the desktop app. The one thing I would love for the dev team to work on would be the note taking functionality. The app makes you leave your reading and takes you off to a different screen. Would it be possible to have notes in a tab? Also it would be nice to know when you created a note so you can reference back when you created it for reference. It would be nice to have the note with the date on the side of the note. Other than that this app surpasses every other bible App in the App Store when it comes to bible study and accessing a huge library of resources. Nothing else has the tremendous amount of resources as Logos does. You have to try it to believe it. The Logos team just keep out doing themselves. The app keeps getting better with every release. Do not hesitate to get this app.

Great Bible Program. This is a very good Bible program for the iPad. Logos is miles beyond anything else out there on the market. It allows you to split the screen, using several Bible translations at once, including Greek and Hebrew. I can import books from my Logos account to the iPad memory and save them there for off line work. I do wish the HomePage gave more options, sort of like the HomePage of the full program, but what you have here is great. The free program is well worth downloading. I do like the fact that I can take my Logos and go mobile more than with a laptop. Oh yes, and my textual notes come through, and I can write more, showing up in any version I use. That is a huge benefit over other programs. Get it! Highly recommended!

The App is so basic, not the full thing you would expect. I like the Logos software for my MacBook. So I gave it three stars. However, the Mobile App for my new iPad Pro is sad and at first frustrating. I have to do all my study on my Mac but then can access some, not all, some of what I am doing on the iPad. I got the iPad to replace the laptop because it has more capabilities than the laptop. Unfortunately, logos doesn’t pair well if you want all the bells and whistles. For instance, nope can’t use the Apple Pencil, sorry! And nope you can’t log out, really you can’t logout on the app. You have to uninstall and reinstall and log in. Nope you cant download your books, so some searching is a no go. Basically the app is a bible reading software with some ways to look up commentary on your phone and that is it! Really. Faithlife calls it a “reader app” if you are looking for a desktop app for your new 2020 iPad Pro with all the bells and whistles this is not it.

Lots of Tabs - Poor Instructions on Usage. I have used Logos "Diamond" level desktop version 7 for the past eight years and have no complaints about its resources or functionality. However, I cannot say the same for this “new” iPad tab version app and its functionality. Compared to the previous version, which I have used during the last two years, Faithlife has failed to forewarn users of such sudden changes in its software, nor has it provided adequate information or instruction for previous version users to migrate to this new design. How unfortunate and yes, I did review those “Speedy Gonzales videos. What a waste of programming time with absolutely no real instructional substance. I was blindsided from one day to the next when I opened the app and found you I am now ignorant on how to get from one aspect of the program to another. You got it! I am not happy with Faithlife’s sudden approach in forcing current users to learn a new way of navigating its app software, without adequate warning. At the very least, Faithlife could have given current users the option of remaining with the old navigation menus that are engrained in one’s mind and then allow users to switch once better “tab” menu instructions are available. David Zachary, MTS

Great content, but very underwhelming user experience. I have been a logos user for about 4 years now. Primarily my time is spent on the desktop version. I have invested more in this software than any other type of software. I have no complaints about the desktop version, but the app just continues to disappoint. I keep expecting it to improve, at least to the standard of an average free Bible app, but it has not reached that level in my opinion. I have countless quality resources on here, but it is so glitchy that I rarely do anything more than read on it. Sermon writing is very difficult on my iPad Pro, and I always end up finishing it on desktop. I love Faithlife and all the products they have released to help us grow in our understanding of the Word, and I only include these comments in hope that it will be improved soon so that we can benefit from the accessibility of mobile versions.

Look no further than Logos Bible Software. The Logos App is free but buy the real deal... With it's easy too use platforms, immensely powerful/state of the art search ability, integration with presentation software, automated slide generator and preaching mode- Logos is a one stop shop. My Microsoft Word app is so lonely now, and I'm not apologizing to the Gates, instead I'm thanking the Pritchetts. I use an Apple iPad with the "Pages App" to write my notes (which translates it to text) then airdrop it to my MacBook, copy past it into Sermon Manager, adjust some things, and Viola! Seriously, it's that easy and saves a ton of time so you can go back to doing things like listening to people fight over what color the walls will be painted, whether to have nasty prepackaged communion cups or stale square tiny biscuits with tainted grape juice, or you know... things like that. ;) Just get Logos (at least Silver or Gold), you won't regret it, promise!

Powerful, but also frustrating. The Logos app is extremely powerful, but in order to really tap into that power you have to spend a lot of money in order to have the resources in your library and the datasets to utilize that library. That’s only the beginning of the frustration. Once you do have the resources, highlighting or copying on Apple iPhones and iPads can be a nightmare. So much so that I end up using Tecarta Bible app instead. Logos just can’t seem to get copying and highlighting to work consistently…when it does work. The app has a difficult time differentiating between the magnifying glass, dictionary lookup, selecting text to highlight or selecting text to copy. Plus, half the time it doesn’t respond at all to dragging across text to highlight. You end up shutting down the app and restarting before it finally responds. I was instructed by the app support staff at Logos to uninstall it, shut down my iPhone 12 Pro, restart and reinstall. Didn’t help at all (and doesn’t explain why I have the same issues on my iPad). So, powerful, but not what it could or should be.

Great Tool for Study. This is truly one of the best tools/apps that I have ever used. There are many features and plans to help develop our understanding of our God which can be honed to meet our specific needs as we grow. I upgraded from Logos 9 to 10 and have zero regrets and even upgraded my package so that I could scan my physical library into my digital database. This is especially helpful with resources that are given to me from family and friends that I may not have had the funds to get otherwise. While it deserves a better rating than the 4 stars that I am giving, it isn’t perfect. There are a few features I wish it had that I have seen in other apps and study tools. Features that I may not have thought about had I not used other tools in my quest for knowledge and understanding.

Request for change. I am enjoying the new design. I’ve used the feature to show my favorite bible. It is nice not to have to look for the Bible but that I just have to click the button. I like being able to keep as many books / resources open as I want. My request for change: can you add a way to “lock” the resource into full screen mode? I want to keep the menus off the screen while I scroll up or down. Right now the menus show up and cover the viewing area. When I am reading in low light mode, I’m distracted by the sudden change of color on the screen when the menus appear. Could the menus also change color to match the low light color scheme? For example, I’ll be reading in while in bed. My background will be dark and when I accidentally bump my screen down or scroll a bit toward earlier in the book, the stark contrast of the white menu on the black reading background causes me to glance away from the text I’m reading. I’ve been trying to get used to it for three weeks and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to adjust to this. I’ve been able to adjust to the other changes and I’m enjoying it. But after three weeks of trying out the app, I decided to request the change. Thanks for listening.

Keeps getting better, but layouts don’t sync. This recent logos update continue to make the iPad app wonderful. I was excited about logos 9 and the sermon builder and preaching mode, yet it’s downside was unable to edit sermons on the iPad app. BUT no more! Being able to edit sermons on the iOS apps is game changing as I can make last minute tweaks without my computer. Two things I would like to see though 1. In the sermon builder a way to hot key the different text formats for continuous typing and not having to drag the mouse down the menu. As well as the ability to create custom font format for your presentation style. 2. I would enjoy seeing a layout I made on my iOS be accessible on my Mac and vice versa. Currently my iOS layouts and Mac layouts are separate and will not sync. If this is user error, please help, but I don’t see any option to sync layouts.

Awesome study resource. I completely enjoyed Logos. That is until a recent update that changed the entire app. I cannot figure out how to view things in a way that is user friendly anymore. The most recent update completely changed the layout of the Home Screen. However, all of the features of Logos are still worth the hassle of learning the new layout. Being able to have multiple resources open and link them together so they scroll simultaneously is amazing. For example, you can have a Bible and commentary open together and link them so when one scrolls, the other follows along. This makes studying the Bible much easier. Additionally, every resource is searchable, which makes topic studies easier as well. The recent update in the app (iPad version, not sure about other versions) is a minor inconvenience that I will have to learn to live with - unless they make an option to revert back to a previous layout or add more customization options. Overall, I appreciate Logos. Although slightly expensive, and you don’t get the physical copy of books purchased (sometimes it is nicer to hold the book physically and book mark certain pages), it is worth the cost. The previous app layout would highlight sales and even a free book of the month. The website is still easy to use and does all of that. Despite the very minor shortcomings, I would still recommend Logos to anyone wanting a great way to study the Bible.

Great content. I really love how logos brings together a tone of resources in one place. This has made my bible study times a lot more richer.

Store can be misleading. Bought a package and didn’t notice the ‘partially included’ icon for some commentaries. If I had noticed I would have probably held off on the purchase. Now I don’t have the money to but the rest of my textbooks for this semester at seminary straight away. It would be a good idea to have more verbose warnings about partially included resources in packages in the store.

Long time user ... long time frustrations. Logos appears to be in a field where there is not much to compare with them, and the lack of competition shows. Features keep getting added such that users get easily lost. Many features don’t follow simple, accepted ways of interacting with users. E.g. Logos is only just coming to grips with scrolling vertically through a document - rather than paging sideways. I think Logos have such a massive legacy of poorly implemented features that they probably cannot recover easily. Perhaps they should spend the massive upgrade fees on fixing what they have, rather than adding more features. Despite all that Logos is still my favourite Bible tool.

New font hard to read. Great App for Bible study and personal devotions. The best around. However the new font is very hard to read compared to the previous one. How about giving us the option to go back to the previous font?

Rating. I can access so many things in this app and it’s just so great overall. I sincerely thank whoever made this.

FANTASTIC. Logos App is amazing. So easy to use, search, and carry around an entire library wherever I go in all my devices. Currently I’m awestruck by what it enables me to do on my iPad. Logos support is also great.

Steve T. Very happy due to the fact that you have everything at your disposal

Lacking. Logos has some powerful content but the User Interface makes it painful to access and work with in depth. If you want a simple Bible reader, fine. If you want to do more in-depth Bible study, it makes you a little sad inside.

A Powerful yet interactive Tool for God’s People. I have been using Logos and it’s previous versions for over 30 years and it’s assistance has been incalculable in my ministry for the Lord Jesus I heartily recommend this program for anyone seeking to be a serious student of God’s Word

Reverend. It is a superb program. Preparing sermons is just so much easier. The feature I like best is that everything is integrated.

Unequalled. Having used Logos for over 5 years, I can honestly say that it is the best bible study program for anyone who wants to dig deep into the Word. It is incredibly intuitive and powerful, in ways that no other biblical program that I’ve experienced. It costs a bit more than the competition, but it’s an investment well worth making.

Logos. I find things here. Especially when I look for them

Dev’s need to focus on reliability. I’ve been using Logos for many years, and have spent thousands on resources, but the iOS app continues to let me down. There continue to be issues, year after year, yet I see the developers adding features. Scrolling freezes, features self de/activate, notes go missing, and so on. I’ve stopped logging tickets because all they say is to reinstall the app. But those intermittent issues remain despite 3 different iPhones now, over 7 years. And not entry level either—this is a 14 Max Pro. Reason I’m writing this review is because it’s simply not good enough given the amount of money I spend with Logos. Fine if it’s a free app, but it’s not. Lately I’ve been using Youversion just so I don’t have issues. Pls pick up your game—it needs to be better that just ‘okay’!

LOGOS. I have had and used Logos for over 25 years, I use it for studying the Bible, and reading the morning and evening devotional, if I want to check a word, or a phrase, I can look up the concordances to quickly find the correct word or phases. The programme is the quickest and most accurate Bible programme that I have found during the time I have been using computer programmes to broaden my knowledge, I happily can recommend this programme to every person needing scholarly assistance, and any person wanting to expand their knowledge of their beliefs or trying to answer a workmate who has no, or limited, knowledge who asks a tricky question.

Resources paid for not accessible. Upgrade to a new device has always been difficult, I still do not have all the resources I have paid for, despite many emails.

Good but not yet great. Logos mobile is my go-to bible and biblical resource app. I use mobile and laptop versions multiple times a day. I love that I have many resources available on one app and these are all tied together across devices - although there are other providers that do this (and perhaps do that core business better). I like that most resources in print are available as a logos linked resource. But some core use suffers. Even when resources are downloaded to the app, when offline, most are not useable - very frustrating! A simple bible search is cumbersome (open new tab, choose type of search and resource, why not just have a search window in the resource you are using??). My iPad version suffers from many bugs which I have reported and they persist. Some I reported over 6 months ago - providing video as well. These are not small bugs — content not showing or loading, wrong content showing, big issues. Logos mobile threatens to be masterful but needs to pay attention to core use issues. I am tied to using it because of the number of resources I have. I hope they focus on making the app bullet proof, reliable, and very useable, rather than adding any more ‘features’

Helpful. This app helps me so much in sermon preparation and bible study. There are a lot of books and articles in one app. Praise the Lord! Thank you, Logos!

Hope and disappointment. Logos has always had a habit of adding new features yet refusing to fix old issues. Sure we’ve now got tabbed browsing. But the way Logos sorts books remains terrible. Sure I can upload my church’s bulletin but attempting a local word search remains difficult - why is the Apocrypha listed higher than the NT in filtering results? It’s great I can link panels but there’s still only a back button. How hard would it be to also add a forward button? And why oh why does search now bring up an entirely new panel? The shrink/zoom animation for such a simple task is frustrating. And if you think tabbed browsing would be similar to a web browser you’d be wrong. More shrink/zoom panel effects. This is not a new thing. Logos has always been this way. Their never ending quest to add features yet neglect current ones is unsurprising. Each Logos update brings hope and disappointment in equal measure.

Great advanced features. I really like the tabs in this app, it means I can start reading something new or look up a word without losing my place. Perhaps it would be nice to be able to label them. There’s a few important things that mean I won’t be using this app however; When I select a single word the app freezes while it tries to look up a dictionary definition. Most of the time, that’s not even what I’m trying to do. This lasts up to 30 seconds. I also can’t select a group of words, to share with friends, single word selection is all that’s available. Search is a bit slow; I looked up the word ‘condemn’, in the esv Bible, search took around 25 seconds. The results were decent however. There seems to be no Greek/Hebrew concordance, i like to be able to see all occurrences of a word so I can understand it better.

Inspiring. Very easy to use, extremely informative, with lots of excellent options. Cannot understand why it took so long to find this invaluable resource.

It ok.. Personally all I use Logos for is t read commentaries. I have tried other features without a lot of success. I do most of my reading on an iPad. It would be nice to see what book I am actually reading up the top when I have several opened.

Logos setup. Had logos at one stage but could never do updates so I thought maybe it would be better to delete it and start over again ... WRONG. Tried umpteen times to install logos onto my windows based laptop .... even followed all the blog material on the internet .... all without any luck at all. Absolutely useless and the phone app is not the same. So frustrated so am concentrating on building the Wordsearch Bible program

Great Companion App to Logos on desktop. I use this app a lot, it’s very helpful to have access to your logos library on the go, but I came here because I just found and am blown away by the Reference Scanner function. SO HELPFUL to be able to scan a list of Bible references and have them appear in full as a list. Brilliant.

A ‘Could-a-been Great’ App. I have been a user of Logos for years now. As a pastor, it has been my #1 app/software for serious Bible study and ministry preparation. It’s depth of resources and functionality has been unparalleled. That said, there has been one area that has consistently let the app down - the notes section. Other apps provide a descent hierarchical structure for filing notes. E.g. I could have a notebook/folder on Psalms, under that a series of folders, one for each Psalm, and inside each folder all my notes for each verse or paragraph. I cannot do this with Logos and that’s a serious flaw. I had big hopes this would be radically improved in the latest Logos 8 update but sadly, no. To make things worse, I’ve discovered some of the reference links to my previous notes have been broken and now lead back to the wrong Scripture reference. “Not Happy Jan.” Come on guys. If you really want to be the go-to app for Pastors, you need to seriously overhaul the functionality of your notes section. Version 8 was nothing more than a pretty dress-up. Pastor Steve

Update good but needs fixes. I use the logos iPhone app a lot. The new tabs are great, love them! But the latest update has for some reason obscured the OS clock at the top of screen (very inconvenient not to be able to see the time while in-app) and removed the in-app screen-lock functionality. Please fix the clock and bring back the screen lock, it’s very helpful to be able to lock logos for reading while leaving my other apps unlocked for videos etc. Thanks!

iPhone audio nonexistent. Good to have audio available for iPhone 7

Amazing resource. I have used Logos for many, many years. It is my best (and now only) go-to resource for my personal spiritual enrichment, message preparation and Bible teaching resource. I keep finding new treasures.

My Go To. Always my go to for scripture. Also when writing a sermon it has great options in helping with the topic and the peer reviewed sources are just fantastic.

Hands down the best, Bob and Software there is. This Bible Software has taken me from an understanding of my bible a mile wide and inch deep to an understanding an inch wide and smile deep. Thank you Logos

Un comparable. This app logos is on a league of its own it syncs all my Greek and hebrew to all my devices at once and make the work load so much easier

Excellent resource. I have only just discovered this resource and have already found it to be a really helpful treasury of Biblical Studies.

very useful product. Have been using this for years but have been particularly impressed with the new windowing approach introduced in 2017. It is now much easier to read sequentially through a text. It is also very good being able to have multiple windows active with different resources, each easily accessible. Great app.

Brings wrong Bible verse/s. Enjoying Logos. The only issue is with the NLT because that is my favourite version and I use it every day but starting 16th September 2021 it didn't work properly. When I open a Bible verse, it brings up a different Bible verse. I updated it, reboot and start the phone again, the same is happening so please check this out. Thanks

Recent update added problems. This app was really buggy and laggy last year and the years before. Then there was some big update maybe 4 months ago that fixed many of those problems. But now this recent update from the past few weeks has been bad. The whole tap the screen to hide/unhide things has made it impossible to type notes and to tap the filter to remove filters. Basically, I go to edit a note and tap when I want to edit and the UI pops up, I tap again where I want to edit and the UI disappears, and I go back and forth a several times until I can finally edit in the specific section I want to.

Functionality hit&miss. I am a long term user & have always been generally happy. But... sometimes simple functionality suffers. Since last update, daily readings no longer functions correctly on iPad, but does on iPhone. Often searching resources (even downloaded resources is snail pace). I saw someone else’s review urging a (Bullet proof) app before chasing added bells & whistles. I couldn’t agree more. God bless

Great Study App. I have been looking for a while for an app to help me with my Bible studies and this app has been a great app for me. I strongly recommend it to you who would need someone to help you search for keywords for your sermon or even related texts and commentary.

Excellent platform. Love how Logos has improved their mobile apps, including iPad. Great software that is improving all the time.

Commentary and word study smorgasbord. I Pastor a Church in country Australia. Our library has very limited theological resources. With Logos I have access to a large library which keeps widely read and informed so that my content creation for teaching and preaching is well informed. Exegesis is easy with access to tools I never would have been able to use which gives me confidence when I stand in the pulpit and guide people with concise and researched interpretation.

Really excellent app. This is a great app. I use it all the time on my iPhone Marking out my highlights and markings on scriptures get synced to my iPad! Makes studying so much easier. Love it! After the new update its even heaps better now!

Notes option not so friendly. Everything is fantastic except “Notes” function. Not easy to reference, cannot put in your own note writings and then reference backwards to the verse. Separate comment - different pages stay open and cannot close them- confusing as to which one I was at.

Logos Bible app. I really love this Bible app for all that it provides however I had issues not able to remove highlighted portion and underlined. I found this difficult even after many try’s so deleted the app in frustration.

App keeps crashing. Why does this app keep crashing and hanging? When it doesn’t crash and hang this app is an amazing study guide for the Bible and has amazing devotions.

God speak to me. As I aspect God to speak to me every morning, I thank you for the new Words every day, kindness, may God richly bless you and your family, Amen, Thank you.

Logos Logou Logw Logon. Logos is a great library system. It benefits from being cross-platform and intuitive, with the same form and function on devices of the same size. So when using my iPhone, I can access all the books in my library which I use on my Mac laptop and my Windows PC. This is genuinely wonderful. Fantastic! And each app on different devices costs no extra, because they don’t charge for the software, only the books. Once started, the software is smooth on even the iPhone 8. No stuttering. It is easy to search and also quick at it. It has many ways of doing similar functions like turning pages, scrolling to keep all types of users happy. A nice interface. iPhone 10 is great. iPhone 11 starts showing less improvement because the software works so well. If you have an iPhone 6 it’s laggy on everything, so don’t blame Logos. So, having said all that, it should be a 5/5 score easily! So why did I give it 4/5? Memory! The iPhone app can take a while to start. I imagine it has a large memory footprint either because it’s a big program or because of my book collection. Either way, this means there are times I will load another Bible app (OliveTree) if I am in a hurry. 1. I highly recommend Logos Bible Software to those looking to start a theological library. 2. I highly recommend Logos wrestle with their iPhone memory issue or at least work out how to start the app faster.

Best bible app. If you have paid for logos software, this is best bible app ever. With all resources available at your finger tips and the logos tools available when using this app, this is the premium app for bible study.

An abundance of great resources. I still love to read hard copies of the books I own, but for sermon and Bible study prep, there is very little that could compare to the depth and breadth of Logos. And then there are the features that aid my devotion times. A wonderful resource

Absolutely perfect bible study. I have to leave this comment! This must be the best app to understand and use for all my Bible studies. Wonderful! Love it!

Remove these stupid highlights... Too many features for a bible app. Give me an easy way to remove highlights in the app itself and I will give you a higher rating. On a touchscreen or tablet merely brushing the screen in wrong place adds highlights to bodies of text that were never intended. Stop highlighting everything! Great access to the bible. But way Too easy to highlight text by mistake on a touchscreen device and not easy to work out how to remove highlights. On the touch screen it seems to be too easy to select text which gets auto highlighted for some reason. Removing accidental highlights on mobile is very hard to do if not impossible. I had to resort to the version installed on the desktop to remove these highlights.

Bible Study. This is an excellent program. I would say this is the best out there for an app on bible study. Only thing is that it needs to be able to look at the words that the bible was translate from the Greek Hebrew and Araramic.

Great app. App navigation is very easy and has all the features that is needed when diving deep into the word. Is has a quick definition search as well as a historical/biblical definition search Overall it’s just an all in one bible app

The Best. In the beginning was the LOGOS, and the LOGOS was with God, and the LOGOS was God. (John 1:1 NIV) LOGOS is an excellent Bible app with tons of resources. It’s like having a seminary in your phone.

Very good. If you are a student are not. This App will change your life. Well done

Importing. Wish I could import my physical copies onto here without paying for it again. Amazing app, great for studies and reading

A good bible app. It’s good, I use it lots

Love This. Am I able to have the ESV Bible?. I’m Looking for The Imitation of Christ For my Laptop, I have it on my cell phone But I was trying to get it on my Laptop. Could you help me please? God bless you.

Great Tool!. Well put together resource.

Love my Logos Bible software.. Been using for years. Fantastic bible program.

Fantastic. Great tool I was a missionary Bible student getting free book each month help me further my study’s and helped me grow

Bible Software. I love the word of god. Great Bible software. One of the best .

Best Bible App. This app is incredible. Able to switch between ESV and other versions with ease for in depth study!

Spencer Buss’ Thoughts. Logos is the best Bible study and Sermon writing application that I’ve ever used!

Daily reading easy now. I have a 25 minute passenger ferry ride for work twice daily. This is way better than playing solitaire and I get my daily read in while listening to music to ignore the noise.

Most useful Bible app I own. How great to have all these Bible resources to carry with us everywhere we go

Loved it!. Thank you for making this app! It’s a great tool to dig deeper with my devotionals. When I discovered this (from a reel), I immediately shared it to my friends.

Not a 5 star, but A 7 Stars!!. Anyone who have used other bible software will know that this is the best and the most intuitive of all - the theme are actually thinking like you, whether you are a pastor, researcher, student or faculty, there is something tailored for you. Keep doing the great work. If there is 2 more stars I will give you 7 stars.

Not user friendly. In the past, i used bible on line. Far behind logos for ressources but Easy to manipulate.

Logos is the best Bible software program on the market. This software is for those who are serious about learning and growing in the Christian faith.

Divorce. Insightful subject

Mr Mel25. A great resource for every believers or even just a reader seeking to gain a deeper more powerful knowledge of the word with logos you have all the resource at your fingertips

THE BEST BIBLE STUDY APP EVER. This app truly allows you to study the Bible in more details. Definitely a FIVE STAR Bible app! I also love the highlighting options as per word only etc. Thank Goodness that you changed the highlight tapping options back to change color only on highlighted words. because I use it daily.

Great. I really enjoy using the program. I would also appreciate the amplified bible as well. I find that a downloaded bible, other than the supplied one cannot be read without internet connection. To bad because i live on the edge of internet. I would like to be able to do some research on customs of the times

Indespensible. This app is like having a well- stocked library at your fingertips. You can start large or small and continue to add the resources that will help your study. It’s been a blessing using it.

Excellent app. I’ve been benefiting a lot from this app, having a quick access to original Greek or Hebrew is just amazing.

A gift!. What a privilege to study The Word in such depth.. for free! That’s how it should be - the Word available for all. Not just those with money and theology titles. Thank you developers and investors!

Yes. Third bible app i try, very good

Worth perseverance. I have been using logos forever and it is for sure a heavy hitter in the Bible software category. There is however a learning curve that I have to admit has kept me in the minor leagues. Could I up my game? Yes indeed but I succumb to the path of least resistance often and just google it. Maybe I should re-google logos for newbies and get out of the shallow end of the pool. I am really enjoying the mobile version on my phone and I think it’s because it seems like a slightly more simple environment.

Outstanding resource.. Thank you

Resources. I really appreciate the variety of bible versions available in this app. It makes getting clarity on the text quickly with having to flip through several pages to find a passage.. There are other factors such as biblical courses, and other resources to deepen one’s understanding and knowledge in biblical studies. Thank you 😊

Best Bible app. I love this app.

Excelente herramienta. Muy buenos recursos para estudiar la Biblia

Steve Travers. Outstanding App!

Great app. The setup up is easy to figure out and the content. Well……That’s just remarkable

iOS capability. I love the program but it has not been made for iPad iOS. They need to add Apple Pencil functionality so I can circle and make notes with the pencil.

Impressive assemblage. Logos is a tremendous help in my Bible research, and makes multi-book navigation and comparisons quite simple. The resources are amazing for content and the reading plans are quite creative and useful

App and company needs help. Can’t believe how much a paid app collects so much data and private information ? Isn’t this app suppose to be for the study of Gods word ? Why so much data harvesting? I would be ashamed if I called myself a Christian company and did this .

Not working on iPad 6th gen. From the last week the app is not working on the iPad 6th generation. It shows a pop up message saying that it cannot download a resource and is frozen. Then, it is closed by itself few minutes later.

My Daily Companion.. My life is enriched by using this app and acquired resources daily. It’s layout and menus make it very easy to use. Each update brings more rich features and simplicity. I use two apple devices and all my highlights are visible on both so I know exactly where I left off the previous day. Access to dictionaries are also a bonus - so there is no need to have multiple apps open while studying. With so many features at my fingertips (literally) I’m contented and settled with Logos Bible. Hopefully the developers can read my comments because there are some textual references that need correcting. Hopefully these is a way to send these corrections as I encounter them. Thank you for this wonderful app. God bless.

Best App For Bible Study. This is a great free tool (there are things you can purchase within the app) right off the bat. This is the only app I’ll use studying for. Reading versions, however, I use another app for because the versions are free (YouVersion app) rather than to purchase extra. 5 stars for a great study Bible!

Being able to jump to other references. Very helpful.. Jumping to other references gives a better understanding of thought. Job well done. Robert.

So incredible mind blown. This app is amazing and worth it!!

Unsurpassed for Bible Reading and Theological Study. Great for sermon preparation with indepth study tools.

It doesn't get any better than this! What a fabulous Program! I love it soooo much!!!. I graduated from Quicken to Logos because I could see Logos had a desire to be continually working to improve, and I could see it was so user friendly. I love the training that is available and the on going education opportunities there are. I love the availability of my commentaries. The ongoing upgrading and perfecting for the sake of the user in mind. It is so user friendly and smooth, anyone can use it, from beginner to advanced scholar. What a fantastic bible software! Love the program and the customer service is second to none!!! So helpful!

Excellent. I use this resource everyday day. From Bible study, word searches, daily reading and everything in between, Logos has enriched me and helped me grow in my faith.

Good Christian Resource. Excellent Bible apps. But would give 5 ⭐️ if will provide offline deluxe version of the Bible as OliveTree does. Also, I just purchased the NLT Bible but didn’t downloaded into my library. Pls verify my account. It billed me C$9.03 via PayPal. Thanks

Love this app. I have been using this for a couple of months, and find it very easy to navigate. I love the way the app is designed, so you can open more than one book of the Bible at a time. Recommend for sure.

The Best Transitions of Multiple Translations. Wishing well, The title says it all… I like the tabs inside the app…I love more tabs which means more cross referencing quickness! Wanting your best, WhiteStone Promise

Well done. Great app. Perfect features and interface.

Wish mobile was as good as desktop. The app is great, I use it on my iPad and it misses so much that desktop has.

In-depth study of the Word. There is no better way that I know of to study the word of God in depth then the thorough way Logos offers.

A must have app. Absolutely love it. Very helpful tool to study the Bible.

iPhone X full-screen size. In large part I enjoy the app. Having your full library readily available for readings and study is wonderful. Now, if only we can get the full-screen display on iPhone X would be awesome. It appears it’s still set on the former screen size with the black edge margins. Hoping a fix for that is soon released! I’d also like to see if reading plans could be introduced, a bit more dynamic and invite friends to share in, a la Youversion’s Bible App. I prefer using Logos but most of my friends utilize the Bible App’s plans and in turn spend a great deal of time on that platform. There’s got to be a way to incorporate some of that here too right?! Overall, Great system and great product, Faithlife!

Need a lots of improvements.. I love the app but i notice that it still needs a lot of improvements, theres a couple of stuff that it was getting on my nerves since there no way to go around it like for example; Notes Feature (if you highlight a verse it will crate a different note even if you are already working on that verse in the note that you are currently working on) the fact that theres no option to cancel that is frustrating and on the same notes you if you anchor the verse to the note even if you dont want the whole verse it will automatically highlight the whole verse and that's frustrating as well cause sometimes the message is not in the whole verse you know!... but theres more to it and theres more stuff to be fix but i cant write all of it down.

Larry Tolivers Logos review. The Logos Bible App is literally outstanding. I bought a nominal package for my computer a few years ago, and then I found the free phone and Tablet application. I taught for 7 years recently on Sunday mornings during communion services and classes on Wednesday nights. I used the Logos app for reading, showing Greek and Hebrew definitions of the words, highlighting verses, and studying amazing stuff that’s right there at your fingertips. Super easy to navigate and full of amazing helpful ways to show and teach. I have it on my phone, iPad, and computer. I would honestly cry if it weren’t available. Thank The Lord for this Logos app. Larry Toliver Associate Pastor

Excellent Bible Application. I really enjoy just reading some of the commentaries and other Bible resources from my iPad! Logos iPad application is an excellent tool in assisting me dig into the Bible more and more. The last update was transforming. With the sliding panel on the left allowing me to perform quires, view my library and much more. The new clean formatting of the resource text is top notch. This application is tremendous. If you want to dig into the Bible using your iPad or just want to read on of the thousand resources available from Logos this application is my choice. Update 10 Outstanding Bible software on desktop, laptop or iPad. It is so powerful! Every pastor, teacher or student of the Bible must own this software. Well done.

Perfect for self-study. I’m not a seminary student and have no plans to become a pastor, but I do find myself driven to study God’s Word. Picked up the fundamentals package and it has more resources than I can seem to keep up with. I do lead a men’s life group so I want to make sure I’m grounded properly and can provide proper thoughts and responses to the conversations and the Logos app certainly helps with that study. They also provide resources for free or great discounts monthly that help add to my collection. I really love the ability to have multiple resources open and to be able to switch back and forth or to just search an item and have it correlate among them all.

My app is not operating properly but it’s my favorite. Since the update, my logos app on my phone and my iPad have been frustratingly buggy. While I’m reading and scrolling (downloaded material) it stops me as if the rest of the scripture is not there and I have to restart the whole app to get a little further and my highlighter is also buggy. On my phone, when I attempt to restore purchases (subscriptions) I made from my computer, the app quits and gives an error coded and this box pops up a lot. I’m reading more now I just want to have access to my subscription and bug free material. Logos is still my favorite Faith-walk bible app.

Some annoying issues. From my iPad: When trying to select a text where the highlight turns blue, the page turn. So difficult to select the text without the page turning. Also can’t go to other passages if I have low internet, the bible books won’t load. But other bible apps load with no problem. Further, The notes are very difficult to edit. That’s because the window the notes are in gets in the way from scrolling down. All of this may sound difficult to understand so I hope you can decipher what I’m trying to say. Finally, I have inserted a lot of notes into this app, now I’m afraid and don’t trust that this Logos app with retain it, that it may one day delete them. One of the reasons is because I see my highlight, at times, go in and out with no reason.

A Great Bible Study Tool. To my knowledge there is no better Bible Study software on the market. I have been a Logos user for over ten years and have just scratched the surface of the capabilities of this software and the volume of digital documents in its library. You can't go wrong by purchasing this system. That said, all systems can (and should) continue to develop and improve. I find the touch controls on the ipad version clunky and often sticky. I have had to reboot on occasion to get the system to respond to the touch screen. This happens in highlighting and note taking most often. I encourage Logos to work on a better touch interface for pads.

Updates keep making it harder to use. Since an update a couple months ago, the top toolbar no longer disappears completely when scrolling. As a result, the resource name is always showing. This wastes space that could be used for the actual Bible text. Recently, the top bar seems to take up even more space when it only shows the resource name. Please provide an option to completely hide this bar while reading. Also, it’s become increasingly difficult to select any text that isn’t an entire Bible verse. Please make this easier again. I don’t want to see the giant panel pop up at the bottom just to select text.

Nice app, very robust. Price prohibitive for me.. Logos is the gold standard of Bible software and this app is for the most part excellent. I like the features I’ve used. Wish fonts and font sizes were more configurable (i.e. font sizes for each type of window, like a paper Bible in which the study notes are not in the same size font as the corresponding Bible text). Love tabs! Comes with a lot of good translations for free. I don’t want to create a free account because I don’t want to deal with all the marketing that will probably come with it. I’ve tried to get into Logos before but the bundles are more than I can spend and I feel like I’d be buying a lot of older, often public domain resources that I would not use (that has nothing to do with the quality of this app, only with why I won’t use it more).

Essential tool for my iPad. I have been a Logos user for a long time (20 years?), since the software was first introduced. Over that time the product has become essential for Bibles study and teaching as I have built a library of books, notes, and highlights. But today I very seldom access Logos from my computer because this app on my iPad gives me almost everything the full computer version provides. I use this daily for quiet time and bible study. I use it to read books that are part of the library and interact with them in a way I can easily find my thoughts. I did finally upgrade my computer software to Logos 8 but waited because I found this app provides all the functionality I need.

Excellent development and improvements. The app has come a long way--load times are much better and the better handling of downloaded books makes transitioning to a new resource much more effective. I now use this frequently when preparing for church over and above the main computer application. I would like to see a less unwieldy library feature built in automatically (wading through a thousand resources when I can't remember the name of a specific text is challenging--though the search function is quite powerful). The downloaded books I have selected for when I am offline often seem to get corrupted and this is not usually evident until I am somewhere I can’t easily redownload.

The Words of our Maker. Made in Heaven. By the Creator. That’s what and who I am. It’s important to give credit to whom credit belongs. And to none other. On most or all ID-cards the owner, issuer, and creator of the card is clearly stated. Usually in terms of a State voted into existence by men. Not by the above said Creator. Not by the One God and Maker identified in Genesis Chapter 1 and 2, Exodus 3:14; 20:2, 11; Revelation 14:7. Yet, Satan, the deceiver, also claims to be God. He is the father and source of all lies. So he makes us mix up one authority with another. The authorities of any State created by men and ruled by Satan. States ruled by by men licensed to legally - albeit unlawfully - trespass upon the Ten Commandments in order to enforce policies contrary to the Ten Commandments and contrary to the true spirit of the teachings of the Torah. Am I willing to identify my self in terms of such a State made ID-card? No way! Is the God identified in Ex 20:2 leading His people out of such States, out of such houses of bondage? Yes, indeed He is. But not by force or coercion! It’s up to me to accept His leadership. It is up to me to learn to identify myself correctly. The words of God, the logos of John Chapter One, is certainly key to learning that. Thanks for sharing God’s Word!

An awesome app for learning and studying the scriptures. This bible app is extremely helpful ! There are so many resources to choose from and it really makes studying the Bible a lot easier . At first the app was a little bit hard getting use to , I had to go on the logos website to see how to use the basic features. After that though it is pretty simple , just takes some getting use to , I highly recommend using this app , especially for some personal study or preparing a sermon , it is just really great all around ! May God continue to bless those who made this app , they are helping their brothers in Christ grow in the word of God and helping them understand the Bible better! I once again highly recommend getting this app ! God bless !!

Indispensable; HOWEVER…. A great app, but even better, a great Bible study aid and tool which I use every day. HOWEVER, who is responsible for creating and vetting the often ill-conceived and erroneous graphics for the Verse of the Day? Sometimes they’re silly, sometimes outright misleading regarding the meaning of the text. But MOST often, they’re way over done and disproportionately diminish the size and readability of the verse. It has become the poorly done graphic of the day, rather than the verse of the day. How do I know? I am an internationally award-winning illustrator, designer, and Sr. Art Director with over 30 years professional experience, and the most critical principle of any graphic is that it SUPPORTS the text, never distracts from it. THAT rule governs design and advertising—how much more the Word of God! You would do well to simply add an appropriate background or vary the fonts, etc., and visually get out of the way and let the power of the Word be what it already is—because it needs no amateur embellishment from man.

Logos. I love Logos and everything about it. I’m in bible college and can’t afford and of the packages but I use the basic resources and I get so much! I’m forever grateful. The resources provided opened up another world to me concerning the Bible. And everything is right there. I love the power word look ups and the topic searches. The Hebrew and Greek is right there and you can find plenty of free commentaries. I appreciate the free book every month as well. I take advantage of every resource I can! I love it. One day I’ll have enough money to consistently afford the other things Logo offers but in the mean time I’m content with what I can get! Shalom! Thank you writers and everyone else who worked hard to put this software together for the body do Christ!

PLEASE update the UI. There’s literally one thing holding this app back from being the go-to Bible study app for Christians everywhere and that is the UI navigation design. The central tab/page-based navigation is so slow, cumbersome, and unintuitive that it becomes dealbreaker after only 30 minutes using it. I would strongly recommend checking out Material Design navigation design principles, they have done a lot of research on how to make intuitive mobile apps, even those with a lot of content like Logos. Alternatively if you wanna reach out to me individually, I have a personal interest in the success of an app like this and a good bit of experience/expertise UI/UX design for mobile, web, and desktop apps

Best Bible App I’ve ever used. I’ve had this app for several years now and use it everyday. There are some aspects of the app that are not available unless you pay for them. However, I use this app everyday while doing my personal study and I’ve never found that I needed those extra things. I guess if you were a Bible student trying to get your degree you might want to pay for the extras as part of your studies, but for just reading the Bible everyday, you don’t need them. There are a lot of versions to choose from and the app is very easy to navigate. There are a lot of free helps as well. I love it and am so grateful I don’t have to go back to YouVersion ever again.

Good for reading, poor for productivity. I use the Logos desktop app extensively and enjoy it a lot. The iPad app, is, however, a very different experience. If your Bible study or sermon preparation workflow is iPad-fist, I highly recommend you invest in ressources for OliveTree’s app. They’re not perfect, but their iPad experience is far smoother and much faster. I’ve found it less buggy while offering more options (their desktop app doesn’t do much more than the iOS app, though). With Logos, basic tasks like copy-pasting a verse to a document is extremely difficult and buggy (your have to select text *just* right to copy, often times the text selection just disappears!). Ressources like the reverse interlinear are clunky and hard to use. If you have a large Logos library and just pan to read on the iPad, go ahead and get this app. If, however, you plan to research and write on your iPad, look elsewhere.

Latest update a step backward. The new tabbed version doesn’t allow using the Passage Guide on a single screen and creates cumbersome interface. Additional info: Old way: come across Bible passage, swipe up on it and it brings up menu to choose Passage Guide, which then splits same screen and you have all the passage guide links relative to that verse. You can hit them sequentially and read them in same screen, easy-peasy. New way: come across Bible passage, go up to upper right and hit button, then choose Passage Guide which opens to new tab. Then you choose a link in Passage Guide and it opens up a new tab as well. Now you have multiple tabs to keep track of and anytime you want to change between them you have to hit another button (the tab button at bottom). Once you read one resource, you hit tab button, scroll through to find the Passage Guide again, hit another link for another resource, that opens in another screen, and you read it, then hit the tab button, go back and find your Passage Guide, hit the next link on it... UPDATE: I wasn’t aware of the two-finger swipe to move between tabs - that does make it less cumbersome (if not as easy as before), so I moved rating up.

Sloppy Tagging. Overall I like this app. But the tagging of the Hebrew Bible is far from good. Biblia Hebraica Quinta, BHS, Lexham Hebrew Bible, all of them a plagued with all sorts of tagging errors. Some words have the wrong gloss, others lead to the wrong lexicon. I do not understand why in some cases the Hebrew words are tagged to the TWOT, when all I need is normal Hebrew lexicon to find the meaning of the word. I have found at least five or more mistakes per chapter in those books I studied carefully. It is a pity that an app which otherwise is very good has received so careless a treatment of the Hebrew text. I cannot opine on the Greek New Testament, but I’ll leave this for another time.

No Other App Compares To Logos. There really is no real comparison when you look at how valuable and useful this app is. Sure you will always find those that wish it had a little more of this and wish it could do a little more of that. One reason you will always find this complaint is due to the app being able to do so much and the Faithlife team providing so much what people have asked for. The app was already great and they have gone and made it better. Much better. No complaints from me. I am thankful for this resource, the timely updates, and the constant improvements. Keep up the hard work, you are greatly appreciated!

Need better tool to share daily messages. Great app. However, I would like to share the entire written message with others some times, as it is written when I open the App. Some people do not have the App or capability to use or put App on their phone. I would like to be able to highlight and share entire message or copy and share it without it just showing up as a link. Then the link does not open for the other person to receive and read it. Otherwise I like the app. Thanks! Please make it easier to send a daily reading to others without them being required to open a link or download the app themselves. Spreading the Gospel and encouraging others should be easier with this app.

LOGOS 10 Review. I absolutely love this software. It is easy to learn and to use and it is very creative and helps me to navigate different areas at the same time. I love the versatility and how everything is in one place at your fingertips or mouse 😀. Whoever created this software was very thoughtful to the needs of how humans need to study, learn, and research the Bible and different articles and resources. You can customize everything and really dig deep into the Word without staying up all night.😴 I would recommend it to anyone and it doesn’t matter which package you choose. It meets the needs of everyone 🙏🏾

It would be hard to be better. I started off with Wordsearch Bible 20 years ago and stayed with them until LOGOS bought them out from Lifeway. I could not love LOGOS more than I do … especially the IPad App. I use an IPAD pro and I rarely open LOGOS on my Mac. The IPad is just too good. I keep the ipad beside my mac as I work on my sermon and do research and it’s incredible. The Passage Guide and Exegetical Guide are seamless. The Facebook is helpful. For a pastor, this resource is invaluable. I have a huge library on LOGOS and they make it so simple. Of course, there are some minor things here and there I might do differently but overall … expect amazing.

No more book clutter. I know many of you still like the smell and feel of having a book in your hands. I still enjoy the experience of paper and ink, turning the page, and being hit by that unique aroma books give off. But if it’s sources I need; information from credible references ; gobs of information available at the click of a button, Logos is where I go. It’s quick, intuitive, and full of more info I’ll ever need to prepare Bible studies and sermons. Like many of you, being a hubby, a dad, and a full-time IT guy leaves little time left for study. Accessing references in Logos, reduces search time and actually helps me keep my train of thought (Mr. Scatterbrained here lol).

Best Bible Study resource I have found + Suggestion. I love using Logos! Keeps all my notes in one place and can easily find them. I have a suggestion for a future update: Please make it possible to have a specific icon and color associated with each notebook. This would help me organize notes easier when I read through and see my foot notes. Another thought for a new upgrade, on the exegetical guide, it would be convenient to have a “next verse” and “previous verse” button for faster navigation during exegetical studies of large pieces of scripture. My thanks to the Logos team!

Wonderful Resource for all types of studying the Word of God. Logos is an incredible resource for Scholars and Seminarians; as well as Churches, Pastors, Theologians, Bible study leaders and anyone else who desires to understand God’s World more deeply. With Logos you don’t need to be a scholar to understand. The tools in Logos can help you with daily devotional studies and prayers or help you prepare for a doctorate in Theology; as well as every other kind of study of God’s Word and God’s people. Logos can help you prepare the weekly sermon and help you preach the sermon with digital visual aids automatically generated to help engage God’s people; train for missions work and more. Using Logos tools can be as simple or as detailed as needed to suit your needs. Logos works on every type of digital device and all of your devices are linked so you can pick up where you left off, no matter where you are. I have not been solicited for this review or compensated in any way. I just believe in Logos that much. I have in fact only scratched the surface of what Logos can do in this review. See it for yourself. The starter package is free and with no strings attached!

Cannot take notes without crashing.... Edit: since the last update, the problems I had seem to be fixed. Now my only complaint is that I wish they would return the option to keep the book name/chapter at the top of the screen while reading! Adding 2 more stars to previous review! Old Review: I have really liked most of the updates to the app over the last couple of years, but this last update has been terrible. I cannot make notes in the pop up window without crashing the app. Simply trying to change the highlighter color often crashes the app as well. Since the last update, the app also freezes frequently. The navigation window appears, and it seems as if you are navigating through to a new passage, but upon choosing the verse, the window returns to the original passage window, but will not scroll through the chapter...sometimes it will only scroll up or down a couple of verses. The only solution is to close the app, and restart it. This is, of course, very inconvenient when in the middle of preaching a sermon or teaching a public Bible study!

Features are there but UI/UX really need updates. * Please update the UI/UX of the app. The custom tab-based functionality is not only slow but inaccessible for what is often just quick lookup information. * Please consider implementing WAY more (a) modals, (b) popups, and even (c) standard mobile page routing (with corresponding back links). * Logos feature funtionality is bar-none, but other apps are simply way easier to use, more intuitive, etc. and the predominant reason is the decision to use the current custom tab-based navigation. I guarantee you, if you replaced the navigation system completely you would get NO complaints

What was once good. The Logos Bible app has been my go to app for Bible reading for years. Over those years there has been one annoying trend; that being the tendency to be presented with Logos/Faithlife advertising. Granted it is about things goin on at Faithlife, and not products and/or services, but advertising it is. It went from being there, to begin ever present, to begin in your face. Every upgrade however, has given me options to hide it. This time though, it’s there and there is no way to make it go away. Sorry Logos, I came for the word of God, NOT what is happening in your world. When I combine this with the new notes feature that is so frustrating to use, I find myself on the edge of looking for other options.

Highlighting is a frustrating joke, please fix. I have owned logos since 2010 and just upgraded my base library to logos 9 Gold. I am trying to read and highlight a book I just bought and it is basically impossible to drag the handles of a selected word to move it over a sentence or two and it NEVER works!! It tries to move my main resource to another “page” or “workspace” or whatever they are called and almost never allows me to highlight an actual sentence! This is beyond frustrating. A simple fix would be a quick button that would put the screen in “highlight mode” so any drag of the finger would highlight the existing resource. You then tap the “highlight” button again and it it gets out of that mode. EDIT: I watched all the mobile app tutorials and I was indeed trying to highlight wrong, but I still found a bug with trying to drag a the handle on a selected word to select a larger grouping of text. I highly suggest watching all the videos. The app has excellent features that may not be immediately intuitive or known.

So convenient!. I used to buy commentaries in print form, but for the sake of convenience, I decided to switch to Logos. Wow! Not only can I open 5-10 commentaries at a time without making a mess on my desk, but I don’t have to drag around those old commentaries when I want to study at the coffee shop. My wife is happy because my home office is less cluttered and I can literally study from any of my commentaries anytime, anywhere. I always have my phone and/or iPad with me wherever I go. So if I’m sitting in the waiting room at the car shop (for instance), I can pull out my phone and work on my sermon right there! I love it and won’t go back to the way I used to do it before.

Disappointing Changes. Logos is a very powerful tool on the desktop of a computer. If I was rating the desktop version I would definitely give it 5 stars. Unfortunately the most recent update of the mobile app has drastically changed the experience adding numerous steps to make changes to highlights this I have had to downgrade my rating to 2 stars. Prior to the update the logos app had a better interactive experience than the most popular e-readers. Though I still have numerous option with the update, the ability to change highlights or have multiple highlights is far more cumbersome and time consuming. Until another update is released to fix the problem or until they revert back the the way it worked before I am unable to give a rating higher than 2 stars for the mobile app.

Best Bible app. Updated 2: the issue is fixed. This truly is the best Bible app for serious study. Updated: I've tried to purchase commentaries and study notes in the store section of the app. Both purchases were unsuccessful, yet I was still charged. When I called Logos, I was told it was an apple problem. This app should get 4 or 5 stars easy. But, due to the fact you're charged for purchases that you never receive, three stars is the absolute max I can give until this is fixed. I've tried nearly every Bible app on the market and this one is by far the best. Some things could be more intuitive, like switching between Bible versions, but overall, this app is fantastic!

Learning Koine Greek. As a new learner of Koine Greek, I find it helpful that as I read a passage and come across a specific word about which I unsure, I can double tap the word and be given a pop up with all the details about the word (eg definition, lexical form, tense, person, number, etc...). This adds to fluency and clarity enabling me to read the passage more quickly without losing focus on context. Hence, I am able to retain the contextual meaning and increase confidence in the deeper meaning of the passage. Thank you to the creator of this ap for making it available to us at no cost. May God bless you! For later additions, it would be nice if it incorporated other koine Greek versions, but you can’t beat the value of this free offering. It’s one of my most useful tools.

Great resource!!. I love this app! I have my bible with me where ever I go, and it has some great bonus features. The search feature comes in great especially when I am trying to remember "where that verse is that talks about," or when I am trying to find where that word or phrase is mentioned else where. The study features are excellent with the ability to highlight, underline, change font color, and many other options. This app also has many extra resources for reference, among which would be the Greek dictionary and new testaments, commentaries, and other writings. The only thing this app seems to be missing for some is the ability to read to you.

Please consider your mobile users.. I think this is a wonderful app. There is a wealth of really great resources, and with a recent iPad acquisition, I was very excited to begin doing prep work with Logos and Evernote. It is utterly stunning that the simple act of copying text blocks is somehow more difficult on the larger surface of the tablet, as opposed to my phone. It causes some fair amount of frustration. FaithLife, please please fix this. Perhaps also, please consider a flexible bookmark function, to make hopping around doable without having to save to favorites. You guys have a very awesome app here; please just consider us mobile power users 😁

Variety of resources. I purchased a couple of books that were fairly old but the digital format was compatible with Logos so I could load them into the system which makes them convenient to read. I have used some of the available resources particularly the Revised Common Lectionary, as well as some other reference materials available from their store. The free items that came with the basic bundle had a number of items that interested me as well as some pretty obscure old books that were fun to browse. I use it daily for Bible reading and it is easy to access various translations.

Excellent - Used Every Day. Logos has always been a massively helpful tool, and Logos 10 adds some extremely helpful features. One of the ones I use most is that the mobile app finally offers read aloud, turning your entire library into audiobooks! As a seminarian with lots of reading to do, I’ve been able to listen to books while I’m driving, eating, or any other times when I couldn’t previously read. This has proven not only helpful but spiritually nourishing. I highly recommend Logos, and the ability to take you entire library with you in your pocket makes the mobile app a welcomed companion.

Incredible Resources At Fingertips!!!. I was initially reluctant to use Logos because I tried to learn the tool sometime ago unsuccessfully (trial). After seeing an add about logos 7, I decided to give it a try to learn the tool. OMG!!! I am so glad I did. The most impressive feature for me (preacher, teacher, seminary student) is the integration of the resources and the ease to utilize other tools without disrupting my thought flow. Logos is by far the best, most comprehensive bible resource out there. I am enjoying Logos 8 even more. This doesn’t go without mentioning it syncs across all my platforms (iPhone, iPad, MacBook) so at any point, I can study deeply using any of my platforms! Fan for life!

Stewardship. Logos Bible Software has been the greatest investment that I have made with the money God has given me to steward for him towards the goal of studying the Scriptures FOR THE PURPOSE of sharing the Gospel. We are all stewards of everything God has given us, money, time, talents, relationships, etc. God owns it all and we are stewards of it. The most important thing we are stewards of is THE GOSPEL MESSAGE!! How well are you stewarding it? What have you done with it? Have you shared it? Have you grown deeper in your understanding of it? Logos Bible Software can help you do that. I own Logos Bible Software and the app allows me to study anywhere, anytime, with anyone. My only regret is not getting it sooner.

Hard to Navigate. I have had this program for more than a year. It is difficult to navigate along with the slow loading speed plus the multitude of not-responding messages I get frustrated me every time I try to use it. At this point I feel I have wasted a lot of money with this purchase. I have not benefited from it one iota. As I age my vision decreases but I am unable to increase the size of the font even though I am using an Apple product. Most programs one is able to increase such just touch. My screen is always freezing. There is no easy access link to chat or call Support! I regret this purchase. I have to wait 4 hours every time for the Library to synchronize.

Invaluable. Logos is invaluable and hands down the best resource when it comes to Biblical Studies. My only complaint is that the mobile app frequently has to be restarted to select text. I have experienced this on two iphones over man different versions of ios. I go to select text to highlight, and I cannot do so. I then have to restart the app to be able to select text. Or, I will be able to select text and to highlight the text, but the highlight does not show up until after I have closed out the app and reopened it. This is the only reason why I have given it 4 stars, otherwise it would be 5.

A Treasure Trove of God’s Word. I love this new version of Logos! Logos has been my go to source for answers in so many ways and the mobile app just keeps getting better with each revision. The somewhat new feature where you select a Word and the definition pops up and you can open your lexicon in a new panel is great. Only one thing I still request and have not seen on the mobile app: when you select and copy a piece of text, the reference be posted below, just like the desktop app. Thank you, developers and the entire team involved in this project. I pray for you. His Word is not bound! (2 Timothy 2:9)

New Update. Not sure why my mobile Logos app when holding down on a word to look up Hebrew and Greek sources for the def and semantic range of words, etc. in addition to mood, passive, or active types of verbs only get English dictionaries and definitions, In addition, I now have to go the extra mile to look up this information. The “Passage Guide” option now prioritizes not-so-technical sources, e.g., the Faith Life Study Bible is number 1. I am not a fan of this change and it cheapens my experience considering what I have invested. I almost bought the recent Portfolio Edition but why as the academic sources seem to take a back seat.

02/24 Update. I downloaded this app when I began taking college classes on the Bible. I really like all of the features available on it, especially being able to takes notes and highlight text. It has become by “go to” Bible resource. I will continue to use it, but I am frustrated with the latest update as it changed how the highlighting functions. I can no longer tap on a highlighted portion and change the type of highlight. I have to reselect the text and hopefully get the right portion to change the marking that I want. It is very frustrating. Can you please change it back? Or offer a course in how to use the Apple iPad app?

This Is a Second-Tier App at Best. PROS: The app gives full access to your online library on your mobile device. Customization options are decent. CONS: this app doesn’t function as speedily nor as intuitively as other Bible apps in the app store do. It lacks features common to other programs, such as instant bookmarking, chapter and text headings, dramatized audio, Nook/Kindle page turning simulation, parallel translations that are side by side in landscape mode, etc. In short, the resources function more like PDF files than ebooks. Many resources are divided into separate books rather than being compiled into one single, such as J. Vernon McGhee’s Through the Bible series. In my opinion, this app is only worthwhile if you need access to your Logos library on the go. Otherwise, I would recommend others that are available and are much more user friendly.

Best Bible App Ever. The Logos Bible App is the most comprehensive biblical study tool I’ve ever used. Being able to pick between all the different translations is a huge help. I particularly love being able to read the Bible in a split screen view, with the Faithlife Study Bible open at the bottom of the page. This really helps me dig deeper into God’s word & understand intricacies I wouldn’t pick up on if I was only reading the translation’s text. The infographics are great & the short videos of particular locations do so much to put me in the place I’m reading about. There’s so much more I could say but that would take pages and pages. I honestly can’t believe this is a free app. It’s a huge blessing in my life!

Logos Mobil. I love using Logos on my I Pad Pro. I would like to suggest you adding the same Copy Bible verses button that you have on the desk top version to the Mobil version. I am a Pastor and have found that the copy and past feature is extremely useful. I would use the Mobil version much more if it had this function. I Do know how to highlight the verses I want and then copy and past, but this is slow and does not keep the same formatting as the other way. Thanks for all you do and please let me know if this function is available and perhaps I just have not found it. Bill
