Neuroimaging... Best neuroimaging anatomy resource, worth every penny!

E-anatomy. Went to use app. Informed it had been upgraded, thought ok. Said there were new modules could purchase. So I did. Then found out after having paid a lot for all of previous modules the app is now time limited. Very poor considering the initial outlay. Will not be renewing this rip off. At time of initial purchase of app and all of its modules there was never any mention of time limited functionality. This is a complete ripoff if not fraud. If the product has been changed to a subscription model as it appears, I demanding a full refund of all monies spent. I can just go on the web and get the info I need or use texts. Anatomy doesn't change and I am not willing to pay on a subscription basis This is the first review I have written about an app. I have purchased many apps. Extremely unhappy customer

Best anatomy app available. This is the best anatomy app out there. Yes it is expensive. $200 for all the modules. But this is literally an interactive anatomy atlas. Best suited for radiologists or some surgical specialties. My only critique is that, for me, there is not enough fine detail in the musculoskeletal anatomy. I'm talking about the real fine stuff like knee posterior lateral corner structures and things like that. The neuro section is outstanding and the body section has a ton of great diagrams in addition to atlas structures.

Yearly Subscription SCREW OVER!. I sure am glad that I did some research on this app. I came so close to purchasing it, and fortunately I didn't. It turns out that you have to pay a yearly subscription fee of $70 per module. So if you get all 3 modules you will be spending quite a bit of money. I will NOT buy software that I can't use forever! Also notice... is there anywhere on this page that you are viewing indicates this? Is it indicated in the app itself? The answer is NO!!! I wonder how many have been tricked in to buying this software, then a year latter they find out that they have to pay yearly??? The app itself is great, I really like it, and wanted it. For someone who has to learn general anatomy, cross sectional, MRI or CT, I would highly recommend.

I learned my lesson, nothing about anatomy though. OK so I did not read the fine print and was not smart enough to read the reviews - this app is a total waste of money - do not buy it, it gives you next to nothing and prompts you to buy the real application for ridiculous money. I learned my lesson, save yourself from having to pay to learn it.....

AppTastic!. The application is extremely useful. I happen to be learning MRI, and, this application is of tremendous use. Yes, the application is expensive. But, it's worth every penny as a great cross-sectional reference while I am working, with the added benefit of not having to 1: sort through an Internet search. 2: being forced to go through an anatomy book.

AnatomyAppFan. I love this app. It is pricey, and had I known each module was so expensive, I might not have purchased it. But I did. I am a health care professional (Occupational Therapist) and this app is a fun and quick resource which has helped me visualize the anatomy I am researching and tests or MRIs or x-rays I might come across.

Unreliable when you need it. Been using this for work for several years. It’s great when it works. Why it needs to check in every time I use it eludes me. It keeps failing to verify the purchase so yet again Google to the rescue. An inferior product that is free and works 100% of the time beats an unreliable (but otherwise excellent) product. Oh well. Unsubscribed.

Best anatomy app. Hands down

Misleading. Admittedly, I didn't read the fine print. To be clear this is a demo app, and I'm kicking myself for paying $3.99 for it. In my opinion, the modules are greatly overpriced. If I'm going to pay $210 for an anatomy atlas, I want it better resolution than this app delivers.

Best mr atlas. I’m a diagnostic radiologist and use this app several times a week. There is no equivalent resource. It’s comprehensive and extremely user friendly. Easily worth the $$.

Pretty good. There is a decent amount of anatomical detail and a wide variety of systems covered. I appreciate that for MRIs different pulse sequences are given and the relevant windows for CT. I tried the quiz mode once however and can't seem to remove it when using my iPad. Otherwise, great app!

Designed to make you accidentally add expensive subscription.. Use great care - user interface is designed to have you unintentionally add a very expensive recurring subscription without purchase warning.

Subscription problem. I have one year subscription and my status is subscribed but when i scroll th images application want subscription for showing names please help me?

good interface , why yearly subsciption?. very handy to be able to scroll through images. occasional problem when a number of structures are close together, it's hard to tell which structure is being referred to. just now realized there a yearly subsciption to every module because I saw it in another review. not happy to be finding out about that now.

Amazing CT Registry Review. I can’t stop saying how great this app is! I’m using it (along with Mosby’s CT Review) to study for my CT registry. The app is easy to use and so informative!

Best radiology atlas... but think before updating.. Version 5 of the most comprehensive atlas with radiologic anatomy and simple diagrams is here... and more beautiful than ever. I bought the three modules in an older version - however, Version 5 is the first time my access to those modules has been altered, so think twice before you update. And YES these features are lost even after you "restore purchases". For old purchased module users: you gain "orbit anatomy" and "laparoscopic view of female pelvis", while you lose "skull anatomy" and "abdominopelvic cavity CT" to subscribed users only. There's a new "lumbar spine MRI" module for subscribed users only as well. Finally, a few features (including "View Zone" that I frequently used) is now only for subscribed users. Because of this, I promptly deleted this version and downgraded to the last version. As a radiology resident I use this atlas frequently... but again, if you've previously purchased modules, think twice before upgrading to the new version.

Can’t login. Amazing app but I can’t login now. I bought the subscription and the app was working amazingly but I reset my iPhone due to other phone related issues and now I can’t login the app!!! Whenever I log in with my email or google, the app just disappears!!! How to fix that

Awesome app, too expensive. This is a great app which is the best implementation of a radiologic or anatomy atlas I have seen anywhere. The only thing that bothers me is that it is so expensive. Over $200 for all the modules.

Needs offline mode!. Great content, but needs to have the ability to access the content offline. Perhaps a way to activate the program for a year at a time with subscription.

Very poor customer service and support. I paid over $100 in 2013 for access to the MSK and Neuro modules. They updated their platform to a monthly service fee now and basically took away my access to the materials I had already paid for telling me there was nothing they could do and would not refund me.

Too choppy and too expensive. It's a great idea, but the execution could be better. The modules are a little choppy and could be better integrated. Then there is the price. By eliminating the printing and distribution costs, you would think it would be less expensive than a printed atlas. I feel the price is too high. I would think that someone will come out with a less expensive version.

Terrible TERRIBLE upgrade. I have never before seen a great app take such a huge leap backward following an upgrade. What used to be essentially a 'perfect' app, has now been downgraded, with performance and usability now resembling the clunky laggy web interface you get when you pay $80/year subscription fee or whatever it is they charge. Why would a user like me who legitimately paid a one time fee of about $150 for all of the modules in the app via the app store a few years ago want to pay an annual fee to use the crappy web interface when I can continue to use the previously awesome app? I'm guessing that they finally asked themselves that question too. Partial anatomic labeling (ie the small box you can place over an area so as not to be overwhelmed by labels from other anatomic areas) is now only available to premium subscribers. I thought it was against the general principle of the app store to not allow developers to start charging for features that have previously been purchased by a user. Not happy.

Warning: this app could cost you hundreds of dollars to use!. Purchasing this app is akin purchasing a car frame without the motor, transmission, seats, steering wheel, and so forth. For the average person this would be ridiculous! Same for this app, there are literally hundreds of "modules" that need to be purchased in order to effectively use this app. It would be nice if you were given 1 or 2 free modules to test the overall functionality of the app, alas this is not the case. I believe this app has great potential. Traveler be warned this app could cost you a pretty penny.

Anatomy. Finally. A great source for normal anatomy

Use the RESTORE function. Just received an update which made it seem like I lost my purchase and would force me to subscribe. However, all you have to do is use the RESTORE function; create a login if you don't have one. iOS will verify that you purchased the modules in the past and grant you the access. No subscription necessary! Overall an outstanding app.

Useful and detailed. I'm a radiology resident and I use this program every day. I bought the entire thing, which was pricey (US$210) but that's about the same as one textbook, so it's worth it. For radiology, it is extremely useful because there is a large library of normal studies that you can view in axial, coronal, and sagittal, AND you can flip the images to match the study you're looking at on your PACS station for best comparison. There's even an amazing coronary artery anatomy section of moving IR images. The anatomy drawings are OK, and not as plentiful as I might like, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Overall, though, it's the best atlas for iPad out there (I have several others and this one is definitely the best). The MSK is very extensive, and definitely worth the $70. Haven't been on Neuro rotation since I bought it, but it also looks very extensive. The body section leaves me wanting sometimes, but it's still pretty awesome. Anyway, I would recommend it if you need a great radiology reference, which is what I think it's really intended for, and it's worth the money for that. The drawings are occasionally helpful, but not as detailed or extensive as a typical book-based atlas such as the Netter's everyone uses in medical school.

great for radiology residents. as a rad resident, i have been logging onto their website for sometime for quick help with anatomy landmarks, etc..now i finally have it in the palm of my hand and the app works equally impressive as the online version. i am not quite sure why the other reviews are so negative but it serves its purpose well..although a bit pricey, highly recommended for those rad residents who do not want to flip though a big text book at 3 am when reading a train wreck head trauma case.

Glitch. When I initially upgraded, upon restarting the app. Half the labels were gone and required a further subscription. I was extremely upset. Upon deleting the app and reinstalling, it seemed to have corrected itself. So don’t stress

Works Again. The app is very useful when you can access it. I was not been able to restore my purchase initially. With latest version that has been fixed and the app works as advertised.

Ripoff. If you purchased the modules before the update you no longer have access to them since they switched to subscription model. I understand that companies and business models evolve but when you take something back that has been PURCHASED its called stealing.

Sexist. This app is great as long as you aren’t or don’t care for women. Every scan involving the abdomen/pelvic region is male anatomy except for ONE pelvis labeled female. It is extremely disheartening and I won’t be subscribing for that reason.

Perfect. This is this best aid I have ever purchased for my medical practice. I always have it with me. Beautiful images and diagrams that can be adjusted depending on how much anatomy you want to see. Far cheaper, and far lighter, than all the books that would be contained in this service.

XCELNT. Very detailed anatomy. I work in the radiology field and use it nearly everyday. No more "thumbing" through anatomy books. Very quick and easy to use for radiology anatomy.

Constant request for validation. This program is unreliable. I have subscribed to this for multiple years and now, when I am in the middle of call and remote from my text books, I have to re subscribe. The program wont let me do an iTunes restore and I need the anatomy information NOW!! I'm ordering anatomy books for my kindle and kissing this program GOODBYE!!

Won't restore in-App purchases. There is a bug and it will not restore previous in-App purchases. Useless until they get this fixed. I have deleted and reinstalled it and tried accessing my account on the website without success. Anybody gotten anywhere with customer service?

Very helpful. I am a neuroradiologist in a private practice and I use this app almost daily, especially when reading the MSK MRIs. I find the interactive scrolling to be tremendously helpful in pinpointing an anatomical structure; much better than using a book! I feel this price is fair, but would rather a flat, one-time purchase price for the e-anatomy with upgrades possible. I haven't used the CMEs as yet, so I have no working comments on that. Hope this helps!

Can be improved. Website access can be painful and slow. If you have yearly subscription, it won't let you download

Imaios. Great anatomy app. I knocked a star for continual login issues.

Phenomenal, with one usability weakness on iOS. The best imaging atlas I've found. The only minor annoyance is that you have to re-login every 24 hours or so, and since our hospital doesn't offer unsecure wifi access, I have to walk outside to get a cellular signal to log back in on my iPhone/iPad. At least once you are logged in, it doesn't require an active network connection, but I wish it would stay logged in on ios devices for longer periods of time. Developer: please consider! Otherwise, this app is fantastic.

Good. Good, not great. Can’t see structures in different planes at the same time which is frustrating. They have a tiny side bar showing other planes while scrolling but that doesn’t help much for comparison and learning in detail. Quiz mode is also very underwhelming.

E- Anatomy. As a radiology resident, this is far and away the best $200 I have spent on any text or app! Fantastic on iPad, but too much detail for the iPhone. Easy to just select the anatomical areas of interest, an scroll through. Recommended without any reservation

Great Resource. I use it frequently when looking for small anatomic structures. Works well and significantly improved from several years ago.

BE CAREFUL OF THE SUBSCRIPTION. Great app, helped me pass my exam. HOWEVER, I have been trying to cancel my subscription and it has not been working. ON TOP OF THAT I have also been charged for a yearly subscription which I do not even recall paying for.

Great, handy anatomy app for radiology trainees. Very comprehensive. Could use additional modules on CT of the extremities. Also institutional subscription renewal interval is too short. Have to log into university network every 3-4 weeks. Absolutely recommend to medical trainees.

5 star app; 4 star price. Fantastic app for reporting. Excellent reminder of the anatomy you tend to forget or bluff. Clearly the price for each module is a let-down, although given the work involved in designing this and the ease of use, it is worth it. Highly recommend downloading the modules and activating them on ipad so that you dont have to use the internet to view. Online modules are horrendously slow through imaios website.

No help what so ever. It's free to look at coloured pictures with no medical information at all and it costs $90 just to get that feature. No thank you.

Annual subscription ripoff.. Can no longer purchase anatomy mods outright. Rather, you have to pay exorbitant annual subscription fees forever. Massive rip-off. It's a shame (because its anatomy is decent) - but definitely avoid.

Need more offline content. I use this on a daily basis and find it very useful for anatomy however having seen then amount of content available on the imaios website there is alot more that should be released on the ipad that hasn't been

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.. Must have. Fast, esp on mobile, always being updated, customisable, perfect detail. Makes you look like an anatomical genius in your reports!

Don. This is a rip off. Read the fine print. Only the brain and cranial nerve modules enabled. Pay $274????? to enable the rest. And the download is 949mb for TWO little modules enabled. Just not worth it.

Revision. A great app for revising and looking at imaging of anatomy. Costs too much for the full version but what is included is wonderful and a great support to learning.

Not worth the money. This is pretty much a $4 demo, whenever you look into detail you are asked to buy the full module at $69.99.

What's the point?. It's ok if you only want to look at the pics without tapping a single muscle/bone/organs to know the name of it. It forces u to buy their modules to be able to do that.. Pointless.

Invaluable for radiologists!. This app packs nearly all the imaging anatomy you'll ever need, including great illustrations of every section of the human body. The search function is well built, just as the isolate function for an individual structure. Yes it does cost around 100$ per year, but it is certainly worth it!

Too expensive!. App looks great at first, but you actually need to buy individual (very expensive) modules for it to reach full functionality . Otherwise only 2 modules on the brain are included.

Great App, but to much money involved ! Bonne App, mais trop dispendieuse !. There is so much stuff in this app its hallucinating ! Heart, chest, limbs... From simple Rx to CT Scan and IRM. You have almost everything. But its too much money for a app (since there's no paper involved here, i was thinking this app is a little too expensive). If you have the money to pay 200 bucks and more, than go ahead... You won't regret it. If your like me, a poor student, you will have to wait a bit. Il y a tellement de choses dans cette application que c'est hallucinant ! Le coeur, le thorax, les membres... De simples radiographies au Scan et à l'IRM. Vous avez presque tout. Mais c'est beaucoup trop d'argent pour une seule application (selon moi, puisqu'il n'y a pas de papier en jeu et d'impression, ce programme ne devrait pas être si dispendieux). Si vous avez l'argent... Achetez ce programme, vous ne le regretterez pas. Si vous êtes comme moi, un étudiant pauvre, vous allez devoir attendre encore un peu.

The worst security systems. You manage the worst security system I know! .... Of all the Apps that I use, you are the worst company that I know at Apple! ... Congratulations! ....

Missing scans. I paid $20 for a 1 month subscription. While I love the continuous labelling as you scroll through the images, it is missing areas of anatomy like the wrist and foot. I am in school so I am just learning how to look at CT images. The hand and foot have tiny bones with particular articulations that change drastically with each slice due to some bones sitting more anteriorly or more superiorly in correlation with others. I am disappointed particularly with the missing CT scans of the hand and the foot because that was where I needed to most help. I managed by using MRI images but I find them more difficult to look at as they incorporate more soft tissue which can be distracting and make it more difficult to see the bony anatomy. I relied heavily on Radiopeadia (free to view images but missing labels) for learning hand and foot but it was time consuming to follow the changing anatomy without labels. For the steep price of this subscription I expect more. I won’t be renewing after my month is up. Not to mention I couldn’t imagine spending an annual fee of $120 yearly on something like this. This should be a one time purchase type of app if it is missing content.

Ok but.... First, this app is extremely helpful for a radiography student studying anatomy and trying to read CTs and MRIs. Although, subscription is a real turn-off. Also, can you make the app support split screen please. It is so frustrating trying to make notes by switching back and forth between this app and my main note taking app. It will be easier to just have them both open side by side at the same time. But overall, not a bad app

Great Photos. HORRIBLE cost. Photos are great for an overview. All labels on the cut away photos themselves are expensive. There are 3 packs that you need to enable everything (so far). each cost around $70 each. I would stay away from this app since it is a waste of time.

No activated.. Excuse me. I subscribed through my apple account but hasnt activated ANY of the modules. And as it states all modules will be activated for one year after subscription. Please look into this problem. Or get me back my money. I'm not paris hilton. Decreases resolution?. This is why I should always read the reviews! Upgrade has some good features but does appear to cause pixelation (did they remove Retina??).

Good anatomy app, too expensive to be missing content. I purchased the head and neck module for $70, only to find the glaring omission of CT head and neck. This is what I would most commonly use for clinical reference, and it is not include. Add a head and neck CT data set and this app would justify its large expense.

Do not subscribe to these criminals. I bought this early on hopefully to support a good product and now my purchase means nothing and I would need to subscribe to my "purchase". These are snake oil Salesmen best avoided. Subscribe at your own risk.

Needs to be upgraded for larger screen size on iPhone 5. It's been almost 6 months now, c'mon!

Don't waste your time.. Nothing works. They want you to pay 70 dollars per module. There is a lot of modules. Expect to pay hundred for this useless app with sub-par black and white images. Truly disappointed. I can buy a medical book for less than the cost of one module that is better.

Must have app!. This is a must have app for the practitioner of MSK MRI. I use the joint modules for confirming anatomy on a regular basis. So much easier to use than a bulky paper atlas.

Missing several key modules, otherwise good.. Overall, a very good anatomy reference. There are a few glaring omissions - no CT head, CT neck, or dedicated CT sinus modules, for example.

Colorful. Way too expensive.. Great layout and organization. But the $70 (that's right...$70) was way too expensive just to get the labels for the particular areas of anatomy... And without the labels the app is useless to me. I'll stick with my Grey's app.

It is not free application!. Application takes a lot of places, but no extra spending money you can not understand anything in it!

Imaios changes the in app purchase. I bought the in app purchse for MSK a year. It works great. I use it on my iphone at work and on my ipad while studying. Great resourse. But now the $70 does not last. They want you to pay $90 and it only lasts a year. If they change it back (so the in app purchase lasts), I will gladly buy the body and neuro modules. Buy a copy of El-Khoury cross sectional anatomy. You won't have to pay a yearly subscription.
