Dazed and Confused. After a thirty year plus hiatus from road cycling, I decided to get back into the sport. As most people getting back into an old hobby, I immediately turned to the internet to get me up to speed. Keep in mind, when I last rode a bike, helmets were pretty much non-existent, aluminum bikes were all the rage and bike computers… what the heck is a bike computer? I decided I would download and app on my i-phone until I could research the best computer for the job. Now, after using this app for the last few weeks, I am blown away and left seriously wondering why anyone would need a bike computer? Get a quad lock, attach your phone, open up the app and happy pedaling. You can see yourself riding on a GPS map along side some key metrics. If you desire push yourself while riding and see your data change in real time. When you get home you can save and study the data in detail; your time, speed (average and high), cadence, power, breakdown of data per mile, summary of the ride, see your route on a map, etc. and many other data points. Is a bike computer better? I have no idea but I cannot imagine how it could be better. I give this an A+ for my purposes and on my Apple IPhone, the battery does not move even a little on my average 10-15 mile rides.

10-Years and Loving It. I’ve pedaled nearly 30,000 miles since I started using Cyclemeter ten years ago. In that time I’ve tried other apps but cyclemeter has always been my favorite. It does a million things I never use but I’m glad they are there. It does everything you could want in a cycling app. I think my favorite development has been the ability to use the Apple Watch to record rides instead of relying on the phone. It’s made the whole process much faster and seamless; because sometimes you just want to hop on your bike and go! If you’re looking for a solid biking app, this is it.

Great app with a few things I would like to see. This is a fantastic app with an insane amount of customization. There's a few little things that I would like to see. I noticed that when pairing your device it shows the battery level. It would be nice on the main screen to see a small battery level indicator for each device. You would also be nice if there was a way that when your heart rate changed into different zones you could choose whether to alert you were not in the same with cadence. The last thing I would like to see is when you're out the first set of pages you could swipe either left or right. Swiping right would take you to the last page of your set instead of having to swipe through all the pages to get to the end. This should be an easy one to fix and I hope they do. I also really really want a 3-5 second power option 20 second is way to long and a live reading is to jumpy. Keep up the good work in the new innovations. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. Update: 2022 Still using this as my go to app for all my cycling metrics. I love the Apple Watch feature and one of my favorite settings is I can tap the screen and it will read all the metrics I have programed. This makes it nice so I do t have to take my eyes off the road to see how I’m doing. I can also have it programmed to intervals and report automatically. Still my favorite after all these years.

Highest Recommendation for a Great App and Great Support. I have been using Cyclemeter on my recumbent trike for several years and find it invaluable. Recently I had a question about a warning from the app about low memory. I emailed support and received a very complete response within just a couple of hours! They really support this product and it shows. I give this app my highest recommendation. It is highly customizable, reliable, links to My Fitness Pal and social media, provides every stat I need to constantly improve and shows my progress over time. I LOVE this app. I have tried others like it, but this is the best hands down.

Great app and very good support. I tried the free version when I got a mountain bike early 2020. I quickly signed up for the elite version as its very reasonably priced. I’ve never thought about going back to the free version. I’ve emailed customer support two different times, one a question about data usage and another with a tech support issue that was my fault. Both times I received a very thorough response within an hour. I’m not sure how many apps have that level of CS but I’d bet Cyclemeter is in the top 10% in that regard.

Try Cyclemeter before buying a dedicated cycling computer!. I have tried so many cycling apps over the years I have lost count. Cyclemeter is in a completely separate class, far above all the others. Its full suite of metrics rivals, and exceeds, the most expensive dedicated cycling computers. It's UI is very user friendly and because it takes advantage of the iPhone's robust hardware, the execution of its software is smooth and delightful. And, of course, no dedicated cycling computer can rival the size and performance of the iPhone's screen. And if that wasn't enough, customer service is brilliant and responsive. I use a Quad Lock case to attach my iPhone to my bike. It is a solid, elegant piece of hardware. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the issue of battery life. Depending on the model iPhone you have and the brightness level of the screen, you will get varying battery life. But you will not match the battery life of a dedicated cycling computer that excels at battery life such as a $600, Garmin 1030+. So, if you are going on a long ride of 10+ hours, you will need to bring a spare battery to recharge your phone. The vast majority of my rides are in the 1-3 hour range. The iPhone+Cyclemeter+ QuadLock are perfect for such rides.

Excellent customer service and device integration. I downloaded this app and upgraded to the premium version because it is the rare fitness app that can track a third party cadence tracker sensor and pull the heart rate data off of my Apple Watch. I have paid for the premium version of most Apple Watch fitness apps and this is the only one that has delivered. The integration between my Watch, IPhone and iPad (since I plan to use the app with my spin bike) has been really good. If I could think of any improvement, it would be to have a customizable workout dashboard that allows me to assemble the key metrics on a single page. However, I can access key data by swiping on my watch or using my watch in conjunction with my phone. I see some great potential in this app during my outdoor runs as well. Finally, $10 per year is a very fair annual price for the premium app so I feel there is a good value proposition.

An absolute joy to use !!. It took me a while to learn the 'rotes' but am so thrilled to have this as my primary mileage app. i also use Wahoo device as a simultaneous back up. I've not found a feature seriously lacking even if not perfect. i learned how to share stats and trips with my iPad and i so LOVE the browser metrics and interactive stats and the ability to view and playback my trips in Google Earth. I am recovering from 5-way bypass and the data compiled allow me to track my walk and cycling rehab progress. I don't rave about anything but in the case of Cyclometer it is an extremely well thought out app. Take a bow !!

Excellent App. 5+ Stars. Got this app to use for mountain biking. Used it for a few months as a free app and then bought it because it was so useful. When I got an iWatch a few months ago I had trouble getting it to sync up and properly report miles and heart rate. All Apps have some kind of issues at some point but the absolute best Apps have great customer support which Cyclemeter does. It took a couple of emails to get it working correctly. Ronni was the “go to” gal. She gave easy to understand instructions and always prompt responses. Makes this App best of class. I recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.

Great primary cycling app. I have this on my phone while my garmin is on the bike. I use this for my own personal monitoring for its ease of use. Never gives me any trouble and the info it gathers fits my wants and needs. Often shared to Strava and fb. The garmin is my secondary gps. It’s a little more complicated but it seems to be more accurate in comparison though not by much, compared to other cyclists data from the same rides. Having both on at the same time gives me peace of mind. They both share to my Strava app so after each ride, I have to delete one or the other. Depending on which one looks good. Hehehe.

Incredible. Cyclemeter is one of those must haves if you want to gather as much data about your rides. It’s really simple but allows an advanced user the ability to gather and visualize almost any data. Automatically upload the data wherever you want whether that’s Strava Apple health email Facebook etc. I could go on. Works fantastic w the Apple Watch. B autiful gauges and screens that are equally customizable. One minor head scratcher is that there is no complication available for the watch so you can’t put it on a watch face you have to go to your apps list. Developers are on top of updates too.

Wonderful app. This is one of the few apps I’ve had on my iPhone for the last who knows how many years and didn’t get replaced by the ever expanding features built into iOS. Cyclemeter has a very easy to use interface, it takes very little time to setup to display just the metrics you’re interested in (time, miles, ascent and calories for me) and even the free tier does almost everything I need. (iCloud backapps was pretty much the only feature I needed from the paid version and the ads in the free tier was not intrusive either, just a web add right before you start a ride and right after you end it). I also like that it doesn’t push me to share anything with anybody online unless I actually work with the settings deliberately. (None of the “we changed our phrasing of our service slightly and accidentally started sharing your workouts with the world” nonsense like Facebook or Strava) I just wish it was a little easier to view my past bike routes on the map, but otherwise I’m very happy with this app. I cannot believe a gadget that could do what this app does used to cost hundreds of dollars not that long ago. Thank you.

Great app for data junkies!. I’ve been using Cyclemeter for going on two years and am still finding new ways to sort and display information. I’m a little worried my head might explode if I added power meter pedals! I’ve found one irritating quirk when using auto stop on rides. It might affect other activities , as well. The situation where I noticed it was a day I rode to do errands; I had several stops – a couple of them over an hour in length. At the end of the day, I ended the ride (done) and Cyclemeter reported what seemed like an accurate amount of time for the time I was actually riding. All good. BUT when the app synced with the Apple fitness app, I noticed I was credited with 577 exercise minutes - the total elapsed time from when I left the house until my return. I’m not a programmer, but I would thing this should be a pretty easy fix. I’d have to ride a century to log 577 minutes of actual ‘exercise!’

Disappointed. Just got back from a lengthy ride and found out that for some reason my cadence sensor didn't record. My speed sensor worked fine. After my ride I was prompted about elite which I have owned for months. I restored my purchase following the prompt but my cadence sensor still didn't record. I work in IT, I assure you I know what I'm doing and haven't changed any settings in the app. With that said, there are so many settings in this app. I wish that one of them was an option to warn me if my sensors weren't connected or my elite subscription for some reason needed to be restored - before my workout. After my work out I go to the sensors page and I can see that they're both connected and both have ample battery. Some type of feedback in the application indicating that the sensors that were used previously are detected during this work out would be great.

Doesn’t support Apple Watch stand alone. The app has a lot of great features. I used to be a user of Runmeter and thought this would be a nice addition to my workout tracking. Unfortunately I read about all the great feature for this app in the App Store but I missed the one line that stated that the app works with Apple Watch but you must have your iPhone with you. I paid the $10 subscription, took my bike on a trip and then found that my watch wasn’t tracking even though I have cellular and GPS on my watch. I’m Impress with the features but can’t believe the app developers haven’t integrated the app with the Apple Watch without a phone tethered to it. I bought the watch to ditch the need for a phone. I guess I’ll have to search for a new app.

An Excellent App. I happened upon Cyclemeter after, first Strava, then MapMyFitness, stopped supporting Bluetooth devices. I use my Apple iPhone for both riding and running and the loss of Bluetooth device support was catastrophic for me. I tried another app and then thankfully found Cyclemeter. While supporting all my devices, (Coospo HR & Cadance, Apple Watch and Aftershockz headset) the app provides every single stat I could ever want. The fact that literally every interface is customizable, including, to my surprise, those on my Apple Watch, makes me regret ever using any other app. Adjusting colors and placement of so many elements has allowed me to focus on my workouts. I’m still finding little gems with in the app to make better analysis and review of all my excursions. Thank you for an excellent product.

Setup can be frustrating.. The iPhone app works great once you figure out how to set it up. There are so many different configurations and calculations that you get lost in the maze of options. Once you turn something on you wish you hadn’t it can take a while to go back through all the options to turn it off again. However once set up, it works great. Lots of good info. I’m planning to get my first Apple Watch (S4 cellular) and was thinking I’d use this app on the watch to track all my info but according to the support pages it must be connected to the phone to function. The entire point of the watch for working out it to ditch the phone when running/biking so you don’t have to carry it. What’s the point of the APP if it can’t function autonomously and then upload the info back to the phone when you’re finished? Seems like a pointless app for the watch.

I love my cyclemeter as does my wife. I am enjoying my cycle meter as is my wife. She can track me while I’m out on the road. Sometimes she sends to the store for grocery supplies. One store in the area is affectionately known as the suicide Safeway. We live in a retirement community and it’s dangerous to go to the Safeway during the middle of the day. It’s better if you in the early morning or late In the afternoon. The other store is Sprouts. It’s 5 miles from home she tracks me both ways oh l forgot to mention l’m 72 years old. My son said that I’d get killed my two wheeler bike so l left in San Diego when we moved. And bought a trike when I got here (Green Valley Az.) . Anywho, l love my Cyclemeter and l do go on longer rides.

Free, intuitive, and COOL. God bless the creators of Cyclemeter. So many features for free. Track your biking AND WALKING no matter how far from the main road you are. Some tracker apps don’t follow you through wooded areas, but this one traces your path to a TEE no matter where you go. So cool. I love looking at the map when I’m done. It tells you the exact amount of miles you’ve traversed, with other details like speed and elevation and ride time. And you can add NOTES!!! So I can write about my route or any other trivial details. Best of all, it’s a simple, easy to use, INTUITIVE app! This is everything a simple hiker could ever want, and so much for free. I usually don’t leave reviews but I’m doing it just to remind the creators to never make any negative changes to the app — and to never remove the app. Words can’t describe how much I appreciate this simple little application, and how much I’ve utilized it over the past few years. Thank you Cyclemeter!!!

Nice Workout Tool, Needs Better Weather Reporting [Resovled]. I just use Cyclemeter to push myself a little more on my bicycle, it’s a nice and easy to use app that offers much more than I make use of. [Update after developer’s email] One of the things I’ve noticed is that the weather it reports is often at odds with actual weather in my area. Developer responded very quickly and a follow up email solved my problem — I was expecting to be able to update weather under Edit in History but was told it can be done directly in History without going to Edit. I appreciate their fast and helpful response.

Excellent App for all kinds of Workouts! ## 1 Wish. This app has by far has every data aspect that could possibly be squeezed out of a workout, and puts all that into a very intuitive assembly. I have used trackers for a long time, and use this app on my Apple Watch to start and stop workouts, in my opinion the best - BUT PLEASE make the Watch App independent of the phone, very hard to run with a iPhone XS Max in your front pocket for any distance. And I have just tested 4 of the other most popular phone independent Apps out there, and either they are filled with adds (even with the payed version), not very accurate or so focused on social data sharing i believe they forgot what the app was for in the first place. For reference I have paid for the Elite version of Cyclemeter for two years now, using on watch 4 but have had it on a 3 and no issues ever with crashes or sync to the health app and other apps.

GPS ? Solved 🤩. I love this app and have used it for years. Maybe it’s coincidence, but the latest update seems to have turned off GPS recording in my iphone 11. Upon your suggestion I checked the ‘indoor’ toggle slider and made sure it is off. Thanks for your great support structure, but the problem continues to exist: no GPS recording. 🥴 Update: the support from the Cyclemeter team was very prompt and extremely helpful. I had to give it 5* now, as it turned out to be my inadvertent and inept change of advance settings which led to my GPS not recording problem. The app is still my 1st choice and more affordable than Strava.

Good app but bugs and lacking features.. There are 1,001 reasons to use this app, and it really is good. I just want to point out a few issues and requests. 1. lately when I open the app on my watch, it shows no connection to the phone, even if the app is running on the phone. Only fix I know of is to uninstall and reinstall app which is not really a solution. For diagnostic purposes I’m using an iPhone X and Apple Watch S4 LTE. 2. It does not work in standalone mode on LTE Apple Watches like some other apps, and needs the phone in range. This defeats the purpose of the LTE watch since I can’t bike with just my watch if I want to use Cyclemeter. 3. Feature request - can we have a way to show team members on the map? I’m part of a 6-person team and would really love to be able to see each other on the map as people can get lost in races and you don’t always know if they are just ahead or trailing behind. This feature would be amazing. Overall thanks for making a great app. Cyclemeter has been my go-to cycling app for years.

Best out there. For the money I have not found better, I’ve tried several and while some come close, those that do are more expensive. This has so many stats and lets you customize it. I like the social aspect of Strava and a freak-ton of people have that, so it is awesome that this automatically pushes your workout to Strava, best of both worlds. I only have one thing that keeps me torn between this and the Apple Watch built-in app. Their’s has a color gradient on the map for your speed. I love that and if they had my current speed available on the display I would switch back, just for that feature, even if it meant giving up all the other features this app has. Please figure out how to do that!

I need for expensive bike computer. I have been using Cyclemeter since 2013. Elite for past 5 years. It replaced my Garmin and I never went back to a bike computer. It is complete and advances as my iPhone advances. With purchase or RFLKT+, I no longer needed to have my phone on my handlebar. RFLKT+ displayed my ride info and I kept my phone in safe place + save battery since I did not need to have it on. One note (or request) for developer: RFLKT+ is no longer supported and stoped working after latest firmware upgrade. Are there any other displays available that can do the same? I hate attaching my iPhone to handlebar on rides.

Still a Great App.. I've used Cyclemeter for three seasons and am looking forward to my fourth. It captures far more data than you could want - I can't imagine wanting any more. Exporting to a spreadsheet, if you keep a log is straight forward. I use Apple Numbers and add my blood sugars to the spreadsheet so I can better manage my diabetes. I really like this app. Although I never used the others on my phone, I find this to be very complete and packed with great features. I have the Elite version, which was so much more reasonably priced than the competitors. I especially like the auto email feature so my wife knows where I am on my solo rides in case of an emergency. New addition to this review: I now use the Wahoo RFLK & speed sensor with Cyclemeter. Both work very well with Cyclemeter, giving me even more data and versatility. I still highly recommend this app! Third review: after another year with Cyclemeter, I am still very satisfied. I once used a Garmin, but now Cyclemeter has totally replaced it. I also want to add that the tech support is very responsive. - Email them with a question and you get a timely response. I am extremely satisfied with this app. Fourth review: I still consider this a fantastic app. I used it for all of last riding season and look forward to using it this year. I use the Elite version, which is very economical and so packed with features. I highly recommend this app.

Simply the best. After logging more than 23k miles in this app over the last decade, and after trying out various other similar apps throughout that time, I can tell you this is The One — the best cycling app you will find and totally worth the paltry fee for the Elite subscription. It works great on phone and watch, and integrates seamlessly with Apple Health, Strava, MyFitnessPal, and more. Best of all, the customer service is fast, friendly, and thorough if you have any questions or issues along the way. Thank you, Cyclemeter, for being quite possibly the best, most useful and reliable app on my iPhone.

Inconsistent sync with Apple Watch. After getting an Apple Watch, I tried out three watch apps for recording my rides. Strava was never accurate, Apple never would pause for stops, and Garmin had inflated calories. When I found Cyclemeter, I thought I found the perfect app for iPhone and Apple Watch. Then early in 2020, the Apple Watch would stop communicating with the phone. About half of my rides, an icon of a red circle around a phone with a line through it would appear in the upper left hand corner of my watch. The iPhone app would still record my ride and get heart rate data from the watch. Finishing rides would result in a notification that said I had to wait for data from the watch. I learned that I could delete and reinstall the app on my watch, but that workaround stopped working. Recently the watch got stuck at less than a mile for a 20 mile ride, while my iPhone recorded the ride but said I burned 0 calories. I would give this five stars from the first few months, but must lower to two until the apps (watch and iPhone) start doing what I paid them to do.

Cyclemeter. Cycle meter was a great app that I have use for many years. It use to share you ride on Facebook but after all these years now you have to upgrade and pay for it. That is the only thing I would use for the paid app so I can just take a photo and post it. If they wouldn’t have changed it and make user pay for an upgrade for that one item I would have gave it 5 stars. I think it rotten of the owners not to have grandfathered us users that have been faithful for years to make us pay for what has been free. That is why I rarely use the Walkmeter anymore which was great to but have to protest somehow. I received an e-mail by the company that state they never changed it as my post stated above. Problem is I have many posts on Facebook through the years where the App allowed me to share it and they say it was only allowed in the paid versions but they can’t show where I ever paid. Another minus for this app.

An app worth paying for. I've spend plenty of money on altimeters, odometers, etc for my bike. It's amazing that a $5 app has replaced all of them. The integration with my gps and map apps is excellent and I no longer find any change in mileage accuracy when tires are inflated slightly more or less. Best is that I now know exactly howl much hill climbing I did on every ride which was never so clear on my costly altimeter. I highly recommend this app. It's also a great gift to give a friend as it has high value but doesn't cost you much.

Powerful and Flexible!. I cannot believe the wealth of features this app provides for only $9.99! I’m saying goodbye to my MVP account with MapMyRide and switching to Cyclemeter. Not only does this app offer more insight into my rides and unlimited flexibility, but it also costs a quarter of what I was paying. I’ve only used this app for two rides so far but it has won me over! I have recently purchased a set of speed+cadence sensors that I’m excited to try out with this app. I also LOVE the Apple Watch integration that allows me to remotely control the app and view my stats. I am just in awe of how well this app is designed and thought out! The only thing I noticed that didn’t seem right is that the Elevation Gain or ‘Ascent’ I believe it is termed in Cyclemeter, is not showing the feet of elevation I climbed over the course of my ride. Perhaps I don’t have it set up correctly. Would love some input from Abvio on this. Thank you for making such an incredible resource for cyclists!

3-stars to 1-star. My previous review was three stars. Since then, my elite membership has got me an app that doesn’t even provide data—other than an estimated calorie burn. No mileage, route, time enroute. Nothing. I would really like an app that I can just start at the beginning of my ride and know that it’s working. I really don’t want to spend my time off the bike troubleshooting. Even the basic Apple activity app provides at least SOME data. Original review: I like the amount of info and for the most part, the Apple Watch functionality. However, heart rate info is off from what my Apple Watch heart rate app shows. Seems to overestimate calories burned, as well. The info is very hard to read in the sun, especially the dark blue. I do like the auto start/stop feature. I just don’t think this is worth the subscription price.

Problematic update. After ten years of using and loving this app, the recent update has been problematic on two fronts. First, with zero warning, it completely wiped out a decade of my cycling and hiking data. Not everyone chooses to use iCloud but I would have backed the data up there if I'd known an update with such drastic consequences was coming. Second, on two occasions in as many weeks, I've ended strenuous exercise to find the message "The workout unexpectedly stopped" and my activity largely unlogged. This is unbelievably annoying. If it happens a third time I'll be abandoning Cyclemeter for one of the many competing apps. After all, with no history to lose, I might as well do it now.

Good, but.... I like a lot about this app, but it quits working too often. About 1 in 5 rides I get to a stop point and check it only to see it stopped working many miles ago. No I usually don’t have other apps running. Sometimes I run Google maps in parallel, but the drop outs don’t correspond to whether that is on or not. I turn off the screen while riding to not drain the battery and to not get distracted, so I never see it drop out. In all fairness I had the same problem with RoadBikePro, which is not as good when it’s working. It’s a bit disappointing, as logging my rides is important to me. I may have to buy a dedicated Garmin bike computer I guess. Sure wish these guys could fix the problem. Note that a couple rides when this quit were with Google maps running, and that doesn’t quit at the same time. So it’s not the phone GPS chip or connection.

New favorite fitness app. I cycle, hike, walk. This app allows me to track all three. #1 it syncs workouts to apple health app. #2 spoken intervals is great but you must turn it on in settings. #3 allows map routes to be downloaded in kml (google earth) plus many other download and sharing options. #4 tracks bike and shoe mileage. There are some many other features that are awesome but haven’t used yet such as live location sharing (for safety and fun), challenge/race against a previous workout and more. I’ve never reviewed an app in the App Store but I was compelled to do so for Cyclemeter. I pay for the premium subscription which is a very reasonable price. To the developer: I love the year, month, week mileage totals. This is important to me for cycling miles but it appears the total is for all workout types. I would love to see the mileage totals for each workout type.

Needs to add some features. I’ve been using this for years but would switch to a dedicated bike computer if I had the money. It’s missing a few features that they should have added by now. One, the ability to trim a recorded ride. I can’t count how many times I’ve forgotten to stop the ride after driving half way home. They tell you to export to Strava to trim and then re-import. I did this like once then never bothered again. Also some kind of optional auto start or stop feature can’t be that hard to implement. Maybe when the bike is moving for more than a few minutes and there’s a cadence reading, it could auto start? Doesn’t seem like rocket science. Also better integration with route sources like MTB project or trailforks like some bike computers are implementing.

Love it!. Great app, simple to use, reliable and accurate stores entire history and can track your progress by the day/week/month or year with the touch of a button. Being able to keep records like this encourages me as I’m sure others makes you want to ride more often, ride longer, faster and keep improving your stats and your health!!! The best $10 I’ve ever spent- but oh, by the way- they will let you have it for free with almost all the benefits if you don’t mind an ad or 2!!!! Ride on!!!

Set up is way too difficult. I’ve had this app for years now. I had my tech buddy set up my pages some time ago but when I recently, AGAIN, attempt to adjust page settings, it’s next to impossible to figure out. For example, all I wanted to do was change my fonts all to white so I can use less battery to visualize the screen. Guess what? Impossible! Hate the set up part but love the app when riding. Still only give three stars for this app as I’m gonna have to ask my buddy to do it again. 🙄

Big Battery Drain! Not accurate. Stalker app!. I decided to give this app a try but it did not perform as accurately as I was hoping it would. The speedometer was no where near accurate. To test, I used my tractor that has an absolute constant speed necessary for crop farming. I set my rpm and gearing for precisely 4 mph. This app never read nor stayed near 4 mph. It read waves of fluctuations from 1.77 mph to 7.26 mph. Not good. During this time, the phone’s battery drains very quickly. So I deleted the app. Even after deleting, the phone’s charge drops quickly with no apps running. This is a new iPhone, only 2 weeks old. It did not behave like this before installing this app. I am suspicious that they have installed tracking factors that do not get removed when deleting the app. This feels like an ex-boyfriend stalking you and draining the life out of you. Beware! I feel it is best to stay away from this app.

Great app, great support. I had been using the app for a few months when I got a set of power meter pedals (favero assioma). At first I could not get them so show all the info I wanted and Cyclemeter did not seem to be receiving the l/r balance data at all. A few email back and forth solved most of these issues but still couldn’t figure out the l/r balance issue. My emails were escalated to one of the software developers and we were pretty quickly able to figure it out. Great service. Basically the pedals are set to send all the data (for a Bluetooth connection) through the left pedal. They can also be set to send data individually and this is what Cyclemeter needs. Once I had paired them with the default setting I could no see the right pedal until I had removed the left pedal both from Cyclemeter AND from the iOS Bluetooth settings. Then I could go into Cyclemeter’s device settings and connect to each pedal and I was able to record all the data.

Sometimes I like the app. The app is good when it’s it’s working, the other day it was on and running but didn’t record anything IDK 😐 There’s a Ton if options none of them make any sense as to what they do and they don’t exactly work the way I had hoped they would. Like the competitive part I really was hoping it would tell you verbally that your behind your old pace but I have yet to get it to do anything like that. As much as I like this app there’s a reason to hate it. Such as the Bicycle I add the wheel size but it doesn’t actually record the information. Guess I’ll go back to using road bike app it does keep me on pace even it it’s only by time and distance.

Ruined Their Product UPDATE: DO NOT BUY. NOW A TOTAL PIECE OF CRAP. ENDLESS ADS TOSS YOUR INFO WHILE BIKING AND AT FINISH. LESS THAN ONE RIDE IN THREE NOW GETS SAVED. EMAIL STOPPED WORKING. OTHER BUGS MAKE NO LONGER RELIABLE AND NO LONGER USABLE. Not loyal to their early customers. Was nice a few years ago — then stripped features I had once paid for. But, app is no longer reliable. About half of my cycle workouts are lost due to poor GPS — which is not the case as the blue dot constantly shows where I am. Not used to be until after “upgrade”. Their coding for GPS is really, really bad — it erases the entire workout instead of dashed lines between good GPS locations. This means my monthly distance and calorie reports are useless. Oh, even though I once bought their premium — now I have popup ads every few seconds. I think they interfere with the GPS tracking. Bottom line: this app not worth the trouble, let alone subscribing for it!

Personal, flexible and versatile. I got app 5 years ago when it did not track anything else but cycling and a subscription fee was only 0.99/yr. I did that for one year and stopped due to its lack of functionality. This year I decided to give it a shot since it now covers almost every activity I can think of and more. The best part is that there’s no personal information needed so I can just use it and not worry about privacy. The way the data is organized and presented is rather useful and easy to browse. Hope they can keep this app up and make it last longer than a few more years.

TERRIBLE UPDATES!!!!!. Let me start by saying I’ve had this app for almost a year now without any issues. It was awesome, I told everyone how much I enjoyed using it. Now there’s this new “update” that has made this app absolutely horrible. My last four rides the app has just stopped tracking randomly. It makes the app pretty much useless. I’ve used free apps that track better than this. I’m going to give it another week and if nothing changes I am going to switch apps. It makes no sense at all to have a app that is supposed to track just stop tracking especially when you’re paying for it. I don’t even know why this makes me so angry but good lord please fix whatever you guys did to make it so crappy.

Great app, hard to use correctly. This is a great cycling app as long as you train & retrain yourself on exactly how to use it. It’s served me well quite a few times, and I appreciate the detailed summary at the end. Unfortunately, it is far too easy to screw things up without realizing it. Case in point, this morning I created a new route, hit start, stopped when I was done, only to find out I was still apparently modifying a ride I had done weeks ago. This means it’s impossible for me to see how many miles I just rode, and even the splits are done on 5 mile segments and have nothing to do with where you may have made stops, or even turned off the app for some days. What did I miss? It’s imperative that you press “done” after stopping your ride. Even opening the app weeks later and creating a new route does not automatically stop the previous ride. So whenever opening the app, be sure to look for a “done” button and press it before starting your ride.

Great GPS Cycling App!!. I've purchased and used several GPS apps for cycling over the years and this is the one I use on my iPhone 4S. I use it in conjunction with the ANT+ Fisica heart rate monitor. I don't use all of the apps "bells and whistles" (just the basics) and it has never locked up on me, skipped recording data, or suffered a failure of any kind in nearly 250 rides of distances between 15 to 60 miles. Great App! The only thing I would like it to do is record HR over time when cycling indoors on a trainer with no GPS signal. It will record HR just fine but it graphs HR over distance which looks like a large dot on a graph due to no detectable movement by the iPhone GPS. I use a HR app for when I ride indoors in OHIO for much of Dec- Feb.

Great workout app. I’ve used cyclemeter for 5 years and it keeps getting better. I use it mostly for cycling, but it allows you to choose other activities such as running or hiking, so I have no need for other workout apps. I briefly used a Wahoo heart rate monitor with it, but wearing a chest strap was annoying. Now with an Apple watch, it is easy to control without reaching in my pocket for my phone, and it does a great job of recording my heart rate from the watch. It does not have social media functions, but will post to Strava if you want. (Overall, it’s a much more useful app than Strava). It will also post my workout results to my iCal, email or facebook. There are links to their website which integrates the route map with plots of speed, heart rate, and altitude, gives splits, etc. Overall the data is well presented, and it’s hard to imagine what else one might want.

Pretty good overall. I’ve been pretty happy with the app but my biggest complaint is I wish it would turn on and off on its own. There’s lots of times when we’ll stop and take a drink or something and forget to turn it off and then our miles per hour gets skewed. I would think if a person was sit still for longer than five seconds you could go into pause mode and then when it senses you’re moving it could turn back on again. Just my idea. I’m obviously not an experienced cyclist just an occasional weekend rider.

Great app; inconsistent. Sometimes this app works perfectly and it is absolutely amazing. Sometimes it crashes ~10 times in a 4 hour ride. Earlier today while using the app in a ride, experienced a crash every 20-30 minutes. I had low power mode on but that shouldn’t affect anything. Had I not kept opening the app, I could have done most of my ride with incomplete data. In total I was shorted about 4 miles (46/50). I really like this app as it is compatible with Apple Watch but it sometimes is very frustrating. I hate to write a bad review but I think it is good that people know about this (possible) issue. Hopefully support can solve my problem.

This is the most comprehensive and flexible cycle app. This app offers 100% flexibility in terms of sensor fusion and data correlation. It can be customized as desired. But the best part is the customer support...they are literally devoted to provide solution and make their app and possibly better product to support customers needs. I’m a newbie to cycling so don’t take my word for granted just try the app and you’ll be amazed. The only really lacking feature is the navigation. If you are familiar with the area and you are more focused on training probably this won’t be a problem. The app still deserves 5 star for being able to stay away of lobbies and just proving the best application supporting your cycling (and running) activities. Well done!

Cyclemeter. This app is the best app that money can buy, it does everything from static cycling at home to counting your steps when your phone is in your pocket, all this for $15 AUD what more can you ask for in an app..

No longer a fan. I bought it years ago paying upfront and only recently returned. Ads further detract from the user experience. Some advertisers use green start buttons that ressemble an app function to trap you into clicking. Misleading and deceptive conduct by both Google ads and the app owner for letting that happen.

Rubbish!. Paid for PRO but get advertising. Most annoying. Pay, pay, pay!

Great App. I use Cyclemeter for every ride. It’s easy to use and adjust to whatever bike or track that I ride. It provides a huge amount of information about my ride, much more than I need but it is useful to read. The map is clear and seeing how I am performing with respect to other rides is a good feature. It’s my go to App for cycling.

Excellent support. Cyclemeter is a wonderful program, I cycle 20 km a day as often as I can, and sometimes more, the maps and statistics in Cyclemeter are superb. Recently I returned to Australia from Thailand and had to change the Apple region on my iPhone, but had difficulty with seeing Cyclemeter data on my watch. The support from Cyclemeter’s help desk was fast and gave easy to understand instructions. After 2 emails a hard reset of my watch allowed me to add the Cyclemeter program and everything is ok. Chris

No support from customer service. Asked several times why would the app show me to take the ferry if i wanted to bike from rose bay to north sydney. It makes no sense to propose public transportation as an option. No answer from them.

Rather use other apps. I was an early user, but they hold your data for ransom and you’re forced to pay just to share data with other fitness apps or even to use Apple Watch heart rate monitor. In the end the app was just a middleman for Strava and Apple fitness, so If you have to pay for this you might as well use something that’s a easier like Strava. Just a shame to loose all those years of data.

Thank you. Thank you for doing what Strava won’t. I’m tired of users asking strava to add features and it falls on deaf ears. The two features here that strava doesn’t have is dark mode for night riding and supporting cadence from my power meter (Favero Assioma). The price per year is worth it for me to have these two features. I’d like these if possible: - Di2 Bluetooth groupset support - More customisation around the pages, eg, centre text in the pane, hide the top bar for the activity type (put it somewhere else). It looks a bit messy where I want to design it to be very clean (stravas record screen is very clean)

Cyclemeter. It’s awesome, I have been using it for nearly 10 years. It’s never let me down.

Advertising!. They have added painful advertising to my paid ‘Elite’ version. Hate it when developers do that. Have turned off my subscription and when it expires will be deleting it.

Awesome App. If

Great app. I’ve used this app for a while now. Brilliant!! Can’t fault it yet!

Your data is yours. It is not sucked up into the cloud to vanish when the company goes down south. It has everything I needed. Heart rate monitor, shoes and bike tracking. My only gripe is, the free version had way too many ads that I was almost at a point of giving up before subscribing.

Good App, I recommend it. I use this app for 10 years (there are not many apps I can say that about). For walking, hiking and road cycling the gps trace is spot on. MTB is a little more problematic because to the constant wiggling through the forests but I can more than live with it. I love the tracking of performance and the transferring of data to my website of choice. Use it, you won't regret it.

Disappointing move. I enjoyed using this app for about a year, then they changed some policy, where now I spend more time closing down ads on the app than actually using it. I had to let it go as the ads made it effectively useless.

Runs without fault. I came upon Cyclemeter after Strava discontinued live HRM, and I wish I jumped earlier. The app is absolutely reliable, I’ve never experienced it faulting or hanging, even my sometimes flaky Wahoo BT appliances have connected and stayed connected. Highly recommend.

Truly excellent app.. I have spent some real money on cycle computers and this app has just put them all to shame, I recently completed some short 30 km rides to compare the accuracy of the app to a regular cycle computer and a well known cardiac monitor cycling watch and this iphone app split the difference of both devices by only 1 to 2 km / km/hr in distance/ average, maximum and top speed, producing a thumbs up for accuracy. The cycle rout mapping and graphs are a bonus demonstrating improvement in fitness but also can be use for bragging rights for long rides :).I’m not tempted to mount an iphone to handlebars however this app's audible information service makes it great as a training guide or if one just wants information on the move. Now if it could incorporate heart rate monitoring and cadence information this package would be complete otherwise this is a great investment for the avid cyclist.

Awesome app for cyclists. This app is great, it has such detailed data and so many customisation options. It does exactly what I ask it to and connects easily with my Bluetooth devices and other accounts like Strava. I even discovered I can control it with Siri. It would be even better if it had a 3 second average power measure. The instantaneous power is quite variable and the 20 second power average is a bit slow. Please could the developers consider including this feature in an update? Anyway I’m happy to use this app instead of a head unit like a Garmin or a Wahoo. Thanks for putting so much work into creating this!

Better ... but still lacking. The user interface on this app is superior to any other that I've used. The average speed data by kilometre is an excellent feature that I have not seen on any other app. It also groups rides by date, or by route and the quick reference icon system to tell you how that ride rates against other similar rides is outstanding. No other app gives you as much information at a glance or so many options as to how to process that information quickly and easily. The graphs are a bit naff but no more so than other apps. I don't think they transfer to the web page, so you don't seem to be able to share elevation data with others. That could be something worth looking at. But still the ONLY downside for me is the lack of automatic resting recognition. I ride with my iPhone in my toolkit bag so that it will be less likely to suffer damage should there be an unfortunate crash. Therefore the manual option doesn't work for me. If I encounter a set of lights ... or a puncture ... then my time settings are all out of whack. The only saving grace is that the information is editable ... another plus over other apps ... and so I can edit in the time from my bike computer. If it wasn't for that, it would be almost useless. PLEASE Abvio LLC, could you give us an automatic rest detection?? Do that, and this app will be far and away the best bike GPS app available.

RJP. Great user friendly all round app

Getting there, keep working!. Definitely not the prettiest cycling app out there, nor the most intuitive to use by a long shot, but it has probably 85% of the features of Strava at 20% of the price - and unlike Strava, it can use your Apple Watch for heart rate whilst running on your phone screen.

Poor iPhone sync. Extremely poor iPhone syncing of rides. I’ve stopped using app. Pointless if losing 80% of stats.

Fantastic. Love it, has a mind of its own. It is accurate and intuitive. Best ever wouldn’t leave home without it.

Cyclemeter is Excellent. My wife & I use both Cyclemeter on our phones & Strava from a Garmin. Both are very useful & the backup of two recording devices provides surety of recording should a device fail. Cyclemeter provides me with detailed historical, easily editable, shareable data of all my rides, (back to when I started in 2015) which are easily & quickly located by scrolling to approximate date, or route name, far more quickly than Strava. About 3 occasions I’ve messaged for help & received informative personal replies within a few hours totally unlike trying to get help with Strava. Cyclemeter is also very affordable. The only extra I’d like would be that I could download all my history data just in case for some currently unknown reason Cyclemeter became unavailable.

Each update, more ads crammed in. Cannot use this app anymore due to developer placing more ads in the interface and annoying pop ups too at times when it is inconvenient.

Can’t get Fenix 6 watch heart rate into app. Please help. Paid for elite subscription. I can’t get my Fenix watch heart rate to display on custom page. I have added device and shows it but not heart rate. Your support page not working on website. No contact details for email.

Doesn’t link to Apple Health. In the free version the app doesn’t link to apple health so if you want to track you data I suggest you use another app or set you apple health to record your ride.

Great cycling app. Can’t really fault it. Once off fee to buy it for the basic version and it’s good enough for me.

Such a good App. I’ve used it very regularly for 2+ years on my iPhone mounted on the road bike. Superb functionality. I used it free for quite a while and now pay the annual subscription. Highly recommended.

Broke my heart. I once loved this app and swore by it. Hell I even paid for it. Until it changed to subscription based payment. Lastly - if you’re using an Apple Watch you will sill need to bring your phone with you. Rather pointless that it can’t run as stand alone.

Great value. Very impressed with this app so far. Can’t believe the number of features that are available for free. And the subscription offers a huge amount of extras so definitely worth it.

No Cycling Training Plans. I downloaded this App for its training plans. I was looking for cycling training plans but unfortunately the only training plans available are for running.

A Bike computer app that req. subscription to use bike sensors??. Meh typical ‘free’ app bloated with ads that requires an annual subscription to use anything but the most basic features. Connect to my heart rate monitor, speed or cadence sensors? That's $15 a year. Thanks but no thanks. I’d pay that for a one off, but not going on subscription for what should be the basics of a bike computer app .. it’s just a glorified map and gps speedo otherwise and there are plenty of free, ad-free options for that

Unskippable Adverts. Don’t bother showing a skip button if it’s not going to work.

Excellent cycling computer - User since 2016. I’ve been a user of Cyclemeter for 5 years now. It’s been fantastic. Currently I use a custom screen that shows speed, average speed, cadence, heart rate, previous split average heart rate, 20 second power, 1 minute power, Time and distance. If I swipe right it shows me map direction, current heart rate and 20 second average power. The app is very powerful and I’ve been able to import GPX routes for new locations, every ride finishes and syncs to Strava. Post ride reviews and sharing is great with its online explorer. I haven’t been able to ever find a full user manual / online PDF of all the functions and definitions- for things like the different power settings etc however the support response has always been quick and very helpful (thanks Ronni!) There is a very short list of things that I think the app could improve upon - the first really should be an easy fix - the power meter options are limited to either immediate or over duration starting from 20 seconds. Immediate is not useful as instant power fluctuations result in an unusable number. 20 seconds is too long for “current” power. Other cycling computers have 3 second power output which is known to be the preferred “current” power measure and allows a rider to make power changes based on the 3 second current power. Please add 3 second power output Abvio / Cyclemeter for me and my riding friends!! Apart from that, Strava segments would be great and the ability to use a different phone for Cyclemeter and have the rides upload to a cloud DB and then synced with a main phone. Id like to cycle with an iPhone 13 mini but my main phone is a 12 pro where I’d like to review data etc. I highly recommend Cyclemeter. Cheers.

Cyclemeter is the best. I have used this app for over 9 years and over 100,000 kilometres cycling recorded and I love it over all the others I have tried. You don’t have to settle for a handful of basic stats, either. Cyclemeter has live statistics for just about everything and lets you rearrange, resize and even recolour them. Recent enhancements to the map functions have now made it even better. They update Cyclemeter frequently and I highly recommended it to all.

No Longer Shares To Facebook. OK - I paid for this app some years ago, and have enjoyed using it on a casual basis, to keep track of some info on my bike rides. It really does a lot more than I use it for - but one thing I did enjoy was sharing my ride info on Facebook. This feature does not seem to work anymore, nor can I find the settings for it, nor any info on why it is no longer available. Either a glitch, or, I suspect the developer has removed the feature. If so I will get a refund from Apple and find a different cycling app. According to the developer “You can still post your rides to Facebook, but the procedure has changed. You need to view your ride in History, tap Share, choose the Workout Explorer Link to use the system sharing capability, and then tap on the Facebook icon to share to your Workout Explorer to the Facebook app." Not 100% sure why the developer thought changing the way the app shares ride data to Facebook from an automatic one that required one click to post on Facebook after the user hits “Done” at the end of their ride, to a long winded five or six step procedure. I’m sure you can figure out which one makes more sense for the best user experience. (Hint - not the one you changed it to.)

Great app. This app is exceptionally comprehensive and configurable. Every statistic I could want and available to display on fully customisable screens. Has all the basics of power, cadence and HR plus loads more. The support is also first rate. Excellent!!

Fantastic. I have been using this app for about three years and it is fantastic! Much cheaper than other ones and does the same job! I love the auto stop options. Thanks for a great app Cyclemeter!

Doesn’t seem to track rides properly on ios13. Since I upgraded my phone to iOS 13 my rides have large sections with no tracking. Just straight lines.

Tends to need constant resetting. Must be better available

Love it. But I'm outgrowing it, I want more!. Just awesome. Love how I can record all my activities in one place, and share with friends. Love how much customization is possible. Clocked up 1000's km in the last few years, between road bike, MTB, walking, running, swimming as we'll as going to the gym. Using two speed cadence sensors , heart rate monitor, RFLKT & RFLKT+ all working perfectly. Just bought a Wahoo Stride Sensor, assuming it was compatible, very disappointed to discover it wasn't. Spent the last couple of weeks trying to get an app which talks with the stride sensor, but each of them come with the compromise of a poor feature list (compared to Cyclemeter). I'm also have an iHealth body analysis scale, iHealth wireless blood pressure monitor, iHealth activity and sleep tracker, and currently looking to buy the Finis Swimsense. It would be great if Cyclemeter or maybe a new parent abvio App could collect the data from all these device and store them together. There are a number of apps out there now that are trying to do just this (MyFitnessPal, MapMyFitness, TrainingPeaks to name a few), but I'm sure Abvio could make a better version. What do you say, c'mon... Take it to the next level.

Mr stephen. Best app easy to use reliable great training extras. Love the file analysis with maps and splits to improve the ride.

Feature Rich. Love this app. Does everything I need and more. Use it as my cycling computer. Can export rides to Strava and more. Still haven’t discovered all it can do.

Could be much better. A few minor problems which spoil potentially a good app. Firstly, unless the GPS is fired up and getting a good signal the counter won't run. So the timer starts but it just thinks its not going anywhere. So before I start the app, I go to maps, and let the phone centre itself. Next problem is that when you stop on your bike at a set of lights or something, the timer countinues to run, so the average time includes waiting time, which isn't great. IPhone battery life is pretty poor as most people know and this app chews through the battery. I think I can almost get a 4 hour ride out of it before the phone stops, but less if you listen to music at the same time. Announcements are great, and a good incentive to improve on times, but as it still includes the stopped time, its a little average. GPS elevations are pretty rubbish. My home elevation can vary by 20-40 meters, and I don't think thats the tide level changing. Could be so much better, but a lot cheaper than a $400 Garmin GPS on your bike. A bit of fun.

Terrible app!. I chose Cyclemeter pro over Strava and it was huge mistake!! Every other time that I use it for some strange reason it doesn’t record my performance properly. A few times it was just giving me zero calories. Today I got a gps signal error! I am going to use Strava again.

Superb app. I've used this app for over 6 years now, mainly for cycling but also for bushwalking and kayaking. It is very light on battery power and provides all the stats I need. I highly recommend it.

Tried them all, this one is best.. Can’t ask for anything more really. It’s fully customizable, has all the features you could ever want and the upgrade to premium is a great price.

Di2 would be Nice!. Great app with a lot more features than GARMIN. No need to carry a phone & Garmin! But yeah would be so good if I could sync my Di2 gearing via Bluetooth would be the ultimate package!

Overall great but app freezes. Overall the app is great, simple, clean and contains a wealth of data. The only issue is occasional the app freezes during my ride then I get the yellow logo screen of death before losing my activity completely.

Fantastic for my indoor trainer. Bought a bike trainer for the basement And use this to keep track of my rides. After some tweaking it works absolutely flawless! I've synced it with strava and it automatically gets uploaded to strava so I can combine both indoor and outdoor rides. Lots of options.

1.5 years of use.. Combining this ap on my phone with a Quadlock has been an amazing way to track my progress on the bike. I don’t think I would have been able to achieve my fitness and weight management progress without this software.

Advertising. Why I received on this app advertisings which I paid my subscription for the second yesr ? 😡

Easy works Great. I have been using it for years. Love this app

Backroads. Use it all the time. Great for making back track on trails etc!

Great program. Great information and not many ads.

Decent. Overall a pretty decent app but why does it no longer calculate calories burned?

Cyclemeter Support. Suddenly I was bombarded with unsolicited advertising making it difficult to navigate. Ultimately, it was my error and lack of comprehension as to what to do. The Cyclemeter Support group resolved the issue within hours.

Update. Update: My bad you app works but not for indoor training. Issue resolved with Wahoo but not with your app I wrote a previous negative review stating the the app would not connect to my Wahoo. I stand by my initial review, the app apparently is no longer supported by my Wahoo SC. All supported apps are listed in my Wahoo profile and Cyclemeter is NOT. After 3 years it’s time to find a new app.

Super app on steroids. I have used Cyclemeter daily for the last five years. Simply the best. I would never go back to others.

Does everything you want it to do except peddle. I like this app for cycling on my phone and I can see everything on a computer screen as well. Great response from the app developer to show me how to use the computer as well as the phone. Now if I could just get the app to help me peddle the bike……

Great app, even better tech support. I’ve been using the free version for over a year, and it’s everything I need. For some reason I lost my ride history during an iTunes sync, so I contacted Cyclemeter’s tech support and they gave clear concise instruction on how to retrieve my history. Simply awesome!

Hands down best app!. Has all the features you need and customization to tailor your workouts. Awesome to have power, power avg, HR, HR avg, cadence, cadence avg, elevation, time, ride time, all in one screen while I’m riding!

Just get the upgrade. After years of using the free version of Cyclemeter, I recently purchased the Elite version in order to connect speed and cadence sensors. The sensors were seem less, the data never dropped out—a problem I’ve had with other apps. I’m so impressed by the ability to customize the main view so only the data I want is displayed. The app can stay on while you ride and battery use is reasonable: I went from 100% charge to 70% on a 1 hour ride, and accidentally left screen brightness on full. When my ride was complete, the app updated Strava and My Fitness Pal automatically.

语言支持. 这个应用非常好用,强烈推荐,但唯有的缺点就是不能设置界面语言为汉语,不得不使用英文的界面...敬请更新!

Luv this App. Does everything I need it to do!

Cyclemeter: Un « must » pour les amateurs de vélo et autres activités sportives.. Excellente APP. Bien conçue. Bonne interface et bonne intégration de l’AppleWatch. Je l’utilise depuis 1 an. Pour vélo de route, ski de fond, Kite ski. Je ne peux plus m’en passer.

Best cycling app for tracking your rides.. I have purchased many of the cycling apps and Cyclemeter is one of the best. It’s simple and reliable. You track your rides and all key data over the long term. You can also easily post your rides to social media easily. It’s also the cheapest yearly/monthly subscription, totally worth the money. Komoot plus Cyclemeter is all I use now.

Amazing. The app is great, the support is even better. They actually respond to inquiries. I love the ability to add, remove screens and customize what I see while I ride. I definitely won’t be purchasing a cycling computer anytime soon.

Great App. Love the app! New to biking and I find the maps and stats very useful

Why I Chose Cyclemeter…. After reading many reviews of many apps to collect data on my rides I chose Cyclemeter. Most apps in this category have similar features, and accuracy. What made me select Cyclemeter is the fact that the data collected is under my control. I can share my data if I want to, I don't have to setup an account on a site that collects my data and shares it with me. I'm in control of my information! I'm not an alarmist, I just believe that I should be able to do what I want with my data. I sync my data to my Mac and manipulate it using an app I designed for myself.

Happy until I got power meter. Purchased power meter, works fine on all other apps but only show up as cadence senor on cyclemeter. Kinda disappointed.

Pas gratuit. Abonnement annuel requis après 7jours😒

Great app. I’m 70 years old and haven’t been n a bike in 40 something years. Biking a couple of miles a day just to my legs used my to it. I tried other apps, but they don’t show what I want to see and Cyclemeter does, on one screen, so I subscribed to it. I like how you can import the info into health. Keep up the good work.

Disabled A Linker using Nordic Walk. This app needs an A Linker walk for disabled exercisers.

Best. My favourite cycling app for cycling and also use it Mtb. Great support when I have needed it Thank you Cyclemeter

Needs Display. I want to continue to use this app but had to stop because of continued crashes of my Wahoo RFLKT display. Replaced by Wahoo Element Bolt which does give me a display but the supporting software is a joke compared to Cyclemeter. This program needs a display. Apple Watch is too small and not handy to read. Can’t use the phone because it would eat the battery while displaying in full sun for hours on end. I would give it a solid 5 stars after using it since about 2011 but for the lack of a display.

Bike rider. Enjoy looking at my bike ride, trace where I went the altitude, distance, speed, calories burnt. Can go back for the year or month see by rides and what the temperature was on the riding days. Really enjoy it

***READ THIS FIRST***. This app works great, but before using it, open your Apple Watch app -> My Watch -> Workout and DISABLE the "Start workout" reminder. I was well into a ride today when I looked down to check my distance and saw "It looks like you're on a bike ride, do you want to record it?" The default bicycling feature on the watch had paused Cyclemeter to display this message and I missed about 5km of data as a result. I wondered when I first downloaded Cyclemeter if it would conflict with the default app, but I had put over 600 km on my bike without incident until today. This info should be the first instruction when installing the app. The glitch has me thinking it's time to switch to a true bike computer.

Latest update broke the app. App keep asking for precise location setting and the app won’t let you start working timer. Also now my iOS heart rate monitor status won’t show up in app after latest update

Compete with yourself. This is a great app, I like being able to see my past times on the same route in real time. I also share it with a. Few people to encourage and stay accountable to get out and ride.

Deception!!. I did like it before, but now it not working like it use too! I want my money back!! 😡

Too inaccurate. This has lots of bangs and whistles but at times it is very inaccurate when measuring distance or speed. That is despite good cell signal. I have switched to the speedometer app which in parallel tests (both apps running) has proved much better.

Pourquoi payer?.

Great!. This is an awesome useful app!

Love it.. Been using for a few years now. Love all the options. Great App!

The Best. Have tried several of the other “big guys” and was pretty happy with map my ride and then they took the cadence option out so that it would not work with cadence sensors. Tried multiple others with the same sort of problems, or they made you choose a playlist outside the app. Cyclemeter simply does everything, you can use outside sensors, you can control your music playlists, and you can even totally customize the screens you want to see, oh and you can do the same for the Apple Watch. The elite membership costs less than one energy drink per month so not only is it better than the others it’s a better price too!

A few minor annoying glitches.. The app will sometimes quit half way thru a ride for no reason. I’m not sure it measures distance correctly. I’ve noticed discrepancies from posted distance on trails.

Best cycling app, and more!!. I have used Cyclemeter since 2014. There are others out there but this one is still the best for me. I upgraded to Elite to get even more features and the annual fee is worthwhile. I pair it with Wahoo RFLKT and Wahoo SC. Plus it is on my Apple Watch. Uses very little data and battery. Developer is very responsive if I run into any problems. Highly configurable and great stats. Data is private too! I mostly use it for cycling, but I also use it cross-country skiing and hiking!

Lake ride. Excellent data capture

Great app.. Many functions and options. I like that I can track my rides, walks/hikes and jogs all in one app. With Elite is definitely the way to go, well worth money.

Application complète, je recommande. Vous pouvez accumuler le résultat de vos entraînements, vous pouvez construire vos programmes d’entraînement à partir de modèle. Adaptable pour une multitude de sports. Essayez-la.

The Swiss knife of cycling apps. Not the best user experience out there, but certainly the most feature-rich. Gives you everything you need, whereas other apps just try to complement Strava. Works for plenty of other sports as well. Sweet price, too. Would love to see audio turn-by-turn directions added.

Very happy. Excellent for tracking your rides and at a great price!!

A truly great app. Extremely versatile and easy to use. I only wish there was turn by turn navigation for routes.

Not accurate. Its a good app except for one thing, every time i use it the time is off. It was only after comparing run times with a stop watch. The company gave some solutions to rectify but none of them worked. I now have to use another app with this app and a stopwatch and then edit the info on this one. A solution but not the best

Annoying ads!!. I pay a subscription for this App but I still get spam on my interface! Frustrating!!!

Frustrant. Gps bug ou ne demarre pas malgré tout les reglages possible! !

Excellent App!!!!. Wonderful way to keep track of bike rides with an amazing amount of info. Am planning to add a sensor to use while riding bike stationary in winter! 2022 Update: I have now been using it for years on hundreds and hundreds of rides outside and indoors with the Wahoo Blue SC sensor and the Apple Watch app and it continues to be a great app!

We love Cyclemeter! The most useful app in existence!. We use it not only for biking but also when walking and hiking. We can see the map of the route we took after which stays in the history and how many kilometres we went and how long it took. we love this app it is one of the best and most useful apps ever!

Still Amazing. Update: I’m into year 4 with this app and loving it more than ever. I’ve added a Apple Watch and now I record and track in real time my heart rate stats. Fantastic. I've been using this app for a year now and I'm still amazed on how well it is designed and written. It's a great motivator for my bike riding regimen. I'm still discovering new and informative data and usages. I don't like the idea of subscribing to apps but this is an exception and worth every penny.

Really amazing app. I have been using cycle meter for over 2 years and I got to say, it’s such a great app. People keep saying to use Strava instead, but strava doesn’t record the huge amount of info that cycle meter does. Hell, even if you wanted to, you could buy the cycle meter premium thing for 10$ a year, and export all of your data to strava! I hope the developers will continue to update this app, because I will gladly use it over any other cycling app in the AppStore :)

Best Fitness App out there today!!!. First, awesome price!! Second outstanding performance and function for multiple fitness activities especially road, mountain biking, and indoor trainer rides! Outstanding sensor integration for speed, cadence, and especially power although I can’t figure out how to display both (duo) pedals for graphical feedback. I don’t normally post reviews, but this app and the developers deserve the kudos!!

App has lots of option but has some major flaws. The app has major flaw that needs addressing before I can even think about subscribing. 1). GPS tracking falls short literally. It is at least 10% off from Apple Watch tracking and a friend’s Strava app which was within 0.1mi of my Apple workout. Now I understand GPS is based on signal strength, etc but when have two apps using same gps and you have a known distance marker and the other app is almost dead on, there is an issue. 2). Mountain biking and road riding over same distance were almost the same in terms of calorie burn. As all know 10mi on mountain bike on moderate trails burns more calories than 10mi on road bike unless your road bike is constantly going up a hill. 3). Cannot start new ride from the iwatch easily. Can only start and stop. Clicking done seems to do nothing unless hit it a few times. Then Have to wait for reset to pop up but why do I need to do that if I already ended my activity on phone?

Strava Killer. This has so many more features than strava, even with a premium Strava subscription. It can do all the basics and upload to Strava if you do choose. What makes it far better for me is you can download GPS tracks (anyone in Strava) and set them as competitors in Cyclemeter. Your live progress will be matched against their recorded time. Great support too. They respond quickly and with very helpful information.

Can’t restore purchases. I would give this 5 stars but you can’t restore purchases. So when you need to wipe your phone you have to download the app again. Subscribe to elite as if you never had the app in the first place. Then Cancel the previous subscription. What a pain. Remember programmers - if a user can’t find a feature then it doesn’t exist. Of the restore purchases feature does actually exist, then you need to slap it in the top of the purchase screen.

Best I have used. I have used a number of bike computer apps the last 5 years and this suits me best by far. Never have had any communication issues or glitches in the app. Nicely customizable. I have a couple of complaints/suggestions and maybe the app does it and I don’t know it. 1. I wish it showed bike trails in a particular color such as google maps does. 2. Would like to be able to plan out a route before riding in the app. It seems like it should do both of these, but I haven’t been able to do it. And a minor suggestion - I’d like the stopwatch screens to wrap; that is I can go from last page to first page by continuing to swip. Thanks WWJBD58

I would give this five stars from the first few months, but must lower to two until the apps (watch and iPhone) start doing what I paid them to do.

use this, then strava. this app has awesome metrics and data, but the added benefit is I have gotten lost a timer to when doing a long trail ride and I can easily check out the map of where have i come from and find my way back home. And then when it's all done, you can still upload the Strava or whatever app. Get this app!!

A strong cycling app. I've used this app for years and it has served me quite well. All of the data one would want from such an app is available and it is generally user friendly. My only cons are that 1) it tends to shortchange the climbing numbers by a significant margin (when compared to every other app and device of my riding partners) and 2) it would be great if it automatically detected when I stopped and it paused the stopwatch until I resumed. As it currently operates, I have to manually stop and restart and occasionally I forget to restart! Other than those issues, it is a good product.

Recommend to. This is a fantastic app. I have been using it for years (since 2015) and recommend it to everyone. I have tried other fitness apps, but none of them have given me the same satisfaction. My only wish is that it was more well known and was able to sync to other apps so that I could use for my erg.

May have saved my life!!. I’m too competitive to ride with a group. I really don’t want to be “that annoying guy.” So... I compete against myself. Cyclemeter Elite let’s me see my best, worst and median location as I’m riding a known course! With incentive from Cyclemeter, I dropped 30 lbs over a few months and now have a “heart like an ox” according to my cardiologist. Best change of lifestyle app I can imagine!

Almost great. This app almost does it all. The killer feature for me was being able to use my Apple Watch as my HR monitor while cycling. I’m shocked other apps don’t provide this. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is not being able to adjust the font size for all my pages. On my main page I want a couple of metrics big so I can glance down and see them similar to how Strava and Bike Computer display, however it seems I am limited to only changing the color.

Great app!. I’ve been using this app for years, and it is an integral part of my workouts. The display is super customizable, so I can keep track of the metrics I’m interested in. It provides audible feedback while I’m riding so I don’t have to look at the display. It’s great keeping track of the mileage per bicycle. I highly recommend this app.

Been using since 2014. I’ve been using this app to track my bike rides since 2014 and I absolutely love it. The app features an intuitive and well-designed interface and is packed with features. Love the detailed specs on my rides and the simple ability to sync with Apple Health. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is probably one the most well-designed apps I have ever used on the iPhone. You should try it.

The best!. This is exactly what I was looking for, and checks all the boxes! Apple Watch Heart Rate Support, Graphs, power metrics, yes! Only things I’d change, more flexibility on page layout (not just vertical stacking, but left right as well) and make the page use the whole screen! When riding, get rid of the 5 tabs at the bottom, get rid of big margin at top, and get the giant start button out of the way so we can see more data!

Displays Apple Watch heart rate on iPhone. FINALLY! I found an app that will allow Apple Watch and iPhone to work together and display the heart rate on the iPhone. This way I can use it as a bike computer. Strava does not do this. Theirs only works with 3rd party heart monitors. Buy Cyclemeter will work in tandem with your Apple Watch and display the heart rate on your iPhone. I got it for this feature alone! Oh, yeah and it’s customizable to infinity.

Tons of features.. This is an updated review to include a correction. I initially gave the app a 1 Star review because I thought the subscription was monthly. The developer contacted me to inform me it was yearly. This is much more reasonable, although I am still not a fan of subscriptions for products. However, I will likely subscribe for a year since the app is very packed with features. I’ll update the review with my impressions of it after I’ve used it for a while.

Correcting !! Ads running on app?. Apologies! I had to restore my app after it expired, 🤦🏻‍♀️and the ads are gone! Thanks to app support for the quick response to my original complaint and how to resolve it. I stand humbly corrected! Original complaint: Why are you now running an app when I first open the cyclemeter app and try to start it? Then tricking users with 2 start buttons? I pay annually for this app, which is otherwise great by the way, but this newest thing is nothing but annoying!

Interface could use work but a bargain just the same. This app gives a ton of information and is a relative bargain at $9.99/yr for the Elite version. However, the interface could use some polishing as things are hard to find and even confusing at times. I’ve also had issues recently with recording stopping during a run because another app opened. This didn’t start happening until I had used the app for four months or so.

Complete Apple Watch support not available. I have a Gen 4 Apple Watch with GPS & cellular. Although Abvio advertises support for Apple Watch, it will NOT work to track your route if you leave your iPhone at home. I do more running than cycling, and it’s really a pain in the summer to have to carry my iPhone in my running shorts pocket or in an armband. Keep in mind that I have a watch that is in many respects a miniature iPhone (with GPS, bluetooth, and cellular capabilities). I emailed a Abvio support about the issue, and I was told that it wan’t a priority for their developers at this time to make a cellular Apple Watch work standalone with Cyclemeter.

Review. Great app, I can see my improvements or not. I compare it to my cycling computer, and this app completely destroys the cycling computer. Great customer service!!! I was having issue phone upgrade or something many years ago. Sending an email at 11 cst i figured oh I will see a response in a week. 5 minutes later a real person emailed me back and walked me through step by step. Don't waste your money on the off the rack stuff. CYCLE-METER gas them beat.

Great app for cycling. This cycling app has everything I need. It does the standard time and distance, and in conjunction with the Apple Watch, it provides me with heart information. You can have it link your ride information with Strava and other apps along with Apple health. I also found their customer service good and response time was very good compared to other apps I’ve used.

Great App but…. I have been using this app for years but over the last 9-12 months, weekly at least once or twice, the app crashes in the background because I don’t leave my screen on and it stops recording my ride. I have to them go manually update my data for that ride. I pay for this app and I would expect this to not occur or be resolved by now. Abvio, please look into this bug and help to resolve it so I can add a star back to my rating. Thank you!

Runs like hot garbage on Series 0. Used to run awesome on my Series 0, now it takes me three or four tries to get it to sync with the phone, it absolutely refuses to resume after pausing, and whenever I’m done with a route it asks me five or six times if I want to share with Strava (yes! I always do you stupid app), makes me hit “Done” again (even though I already told you I was done when I hit the big Done button on the first screen), which it then just dumps me back to the beginning. I have to do this over and over again before I finally get the reset button. UX disaster and runs like Crysis on a 486. Terrible. Might as well go back to Strava, the only reason I stopped using their app was that it again started to run like Crysis on a 486 after months of working fine.

Amazing App. This is by far my favorite bike app. They always keep improving. The automatic update to MyFitnessPal justified the elite upgrade. I love the RFLCT interface. Nice to not have to keep the phone on my handlebars and turned on. I got a Mophie external battery for long rides, so it's nice to be able to keep it all in my pocket. Thanks so much for the constant updates. Just wish it didn’t try to sell me in the upgrade every run.

The greatest cycling app. Have been using this app for 5 months now. Have ridden 256 miles according to the tally. Once I got it all set up the way I like, it displays everything great. Syncs with Apple Watch for a heart rate readout. Shows a map of where you’ve been. Keeps history of all rides. Just does exactly what I need. And it can do a lot more if you wanted it.

One star for the price. Over all I like the app, but the price kills it. It was acceptable when they used to charge a few bucks a year. I was totally fine with supporting the app with an annual fee of $4-5, but $10 is ridiculous. So it will cost me $100 for ten years? Sorry, not worth it. App developers don't understand that people may have multiple apps on their devices they might pay an annual subscription for. If they all charged $10, now I'm paying $200/yr for 20 different apps that I use? With a world wide market, app developers would make actually make more money charging less because more people would be willing to pay a few bucks compared to $10.

GPS functionality problem with most recent update. I’ve been using Cyclemeter for 3 years without problems. Since the last update my SPEED and CALORIES remain at 0 when I start my ride. I have to go to general - privacy - location services - and uncheck Cyclemeter and then recheck it back on. Sometimes this works other times it doesn’t. I’ve also tried to go into the settings on the app itself and uncheck internet access and recheck it back on. Again sometimes it works right away and sometimes it takes a few minutes to work. I’m not sure where the problem lies nor how to resolve it.

My phone is my Cycle computer. I love this app. The screens are completely configurable; selectable elements and even what size to display them. Integrates perfectly with my Bontrager DuoTrap for speed and cadence, and my Apple Watch for heart rate data. All data is captured, graphed, exportable,... anything you want. I have my phone mounted right on my stem for easy viewing (configured key stats on screens with large font). Great app, and tech support was fast and helpful the one time I needed help.

Use for every ride. My husband and I have used this app since 2013. We often cycle separately and this allows us to know where the other person is. It has made rescue easier when a sudden thunderstorm has come up or a mechanical issue occurs. We love it. 2021 Oct I am also walking every day and keep track of distance, time and pace. It is great to have a record.

Powerful, but not always intuitive. Could use more accessory connections.. I really love this app paired with the Duotrap S sensor on my Trek. Gives me all the info of a dedicated cycling computer, but on a bigger screen that I already own. Setting up the screens exactly how you want them isn’t super intuitive, but you can figure it out if you play around for a bit. I would like to see support for the newer Garmin Varia radar units and Bontrager lights, both of which use Bluetooth now.

What more can you ask for?. There is so much to be said about this wonderful app. First and foremost it tracks absolutely everything from average speed to descent to ascent along with letting you know what is going on by having Voice come over your speakers and let you know exactly how long you been riding your average speed and things of that nature. Secondly, everything logs to Apple Health Apple health is huge and I track all of my workouts there whether I'm biking lifting weights or playing basketball. Apple Watch support is also great with you being able to start a workout from there, see average speed, current speed, distance of current ride and more. The most complete app and worth paying for.

Turn IPhone Into Head Unit / Great Customer Service. Rather than spend $400 for a head unit for my bike, I tried this program on my iPhone. It harnesses the power of the phone which I imagine may be pretty close (or better) than Wahoo or Garmin device. I get all the metrics I need. I am also very impressed and appreciative of the incredible customer support. I’ve received detailed responses from customer support in less than 1 hour. Great product. Great customer service.

Fantastic in every way. This app is wonderful and the Pro version is very affordable. It integrates with everything like HealthKit and works with Apple Music. Lots of fun statistics and data that stays on your device and is optionally backed up on your iCloud (great for privacy-conscious people like me). You can even see your stats between different bikes and it logs the weather so you can see if your ride was a bit slower / tougher because it was very windy.

Cyclemeter use. I have had and used Cyclemeter for a few years. It has all the information for road biking, except heart rate. That is on my iPhone. I can easily track time, speed, distance and location. Plus it records previous rides and their maps. I found a bicycle phone holder and set the phone in ‘never turn off’ mode and have the easily readable screen available for the entire ride. I recommend it highly. It is a must for me. I use it on every ride. John

Great app, watch app crashes though. I have been using this app for about four years. Generally love functionality, data, history, etc. I pay for the elite subscription. Seems cheap for amount I get out of it. The one things that is incredibly irksome is to find out Apple Watch portion of app crashes or closed mid ride and you lose all heart rate data...grrrrrr! I’m on latest Apple Watch, OS, etc. Figured out last year how to set watch so pressing crown doesn’t switch apps. Today, 1/2 way point of 26 mile ride watch app froze or crashes. Didn’t see it until mile 25. Overall though amazing app if you pay for it.

Best Value in the personal training app arena. At $10 for the year, the app offers the same features as Strava pro and other apps, minus the personal trainer options at 1/12th the price. If you are someone who wants realtime GPS tracking of your run, bike or other outdoor distance training activities, be able to see trends, customize routes, and follow friends, this is definitely the app for you. Added bonus of

Incessantly Incomplete. This could be the perfect app, but it misses one key feature that’s available in most other cycling apps. Their map does not show bike paths. How does an “obsessively complete” cycling app neglect that feature? This app has the choice to use either Apple Maps or google maps. Google maps already has a cycling path overlay, but it’s not available through this app. I’ve reached out over the years about this. Always got a standard response that they’ll pass it onto development. The app is rich in other features. And it’s no slouch otherwise. But if you like to explore different paths. It is quite annoying to have to switch back and forth to another map program. Which is a shame because I love all the other features this app has to offer. But this one missing feature has kept me from using the app and/or subscribing to elite.

Just What I Needed. I cycle about once a week on average. This app gives me exactly the info I want: speed, avg. speed, distance, etc. in a super-nice screen layout with lots of flexibility (you can really customize the display). And, their customer service is first-rate: every time I’ve had a question they have responded quickly (24 hours or less). I’ve downloaded and tried all the others (Strava, etc.) but for my needs Cyclemeter is the best and I’ve deleted rest.

It’s okay but...... Tons of settings on the elite but the only thing I do not like is that you cannot increase the fonts. When out in the sun they get washed out with the background. You can increase the numbers but not the font. If this is not improved by next year when I’m up for renewal I’ll cancel it. It can eat up your battery a little. Went out on three and half hour ride and I was down to 25%. I have a battery pack case though. So this app is great because of all the settings and features but should improve on the fonts.

Bad heart rate tracking from watch. I honestly love the app. But my largest frustration is the fact that it seems to miss my heart rate measurements from my watch. I have the app running on my watch, my watch is tight, and no warnings. Then when I go to review my completed ride, no heart rate or only certain segments with heart rate. Very annoying. Did I say annoying? Other than that. I love it…. Please please please fix the heart rate issue.

Elite. I am enjoying this app a lot. My first impulse was to buy a bicycle computer like many others have but at the same time I needed an updated iPhone. The compromise was a new iPhone and download a cycle app to it. I couldn’t have picked a better one (in my humble opinion). This (Elite) gives me all I need. Times, splits, distance, calories, maps and real time speed. All at a glance. All you need is a good mount. I also like that I can answer an important call.

Bait & Charge. I recently started using app & keep getting pop ups to upgrade, which is fine I'm usually good at closing them! But today as I'm done w/ my ride, I try to reset the info & get the pop-up, while trying to close it (isn't easy to find little x) I'm tapping the edges in bright outdoors & get a message 'Thanks for your purchase'. I don't mind paying for it when I'm ready but the way the app developers try to get you is reprehensible!! It used to be two way authentication to verify purchases but nowadays it's automatic one tap & you're done! NO Thanks!

Review 2: has a serious GPS delay. I’ve moved to AZ and use this in Tucson for road biking. I ride on the loop and am basically in the open and it takes 20-30 seconds to display any movement from pressing start. It’s usually at least 0.05mi behind where I am. And keeps running 20 seconds or so after I stop as the average speed drops. I’m using an iPhone 13 so it’s not processor related in that I have a slow processor. While a phone is not a dedicated GPS it should be faster than it is.

Seriously - Best App. It is a whole next level in recording workouts. It is extremely detailed and there must be a team somewhere that it very obsessed with making this the best fitness app. The help section alone is impressive. You can fully customize EVERYTHING. And it’s not expensive. I’d really like to shake the hands of the programmers. Total respect in making this awesome app. Stop reading reviews and down load it already

Works great. Very detailed. I love this app. It gives me all the data i need. Doesn’t drain my battery. Live tracking for others. Post workout website. Training plans. Maps. Training zones. Tons of customization!!! Only 2 requests would be to make it easier to add custom routes and add navigation prompts on watch. Thanks for great product. Please keep it up!

Why the change?. I’ve been a user for 9 years (elite). The recent change to stopwatch view which removed the running time clock and replaced it with calories makes no sense since calories is now in that view twice. I have tried in vain to see if this can be changed somewhere in settings and have failed. Annoying but not enough to cancel.

My #1 riding companion. More reliable than my regular bike computer! I use it for both road and mountain biking. I like the fact that it allows me to switch bikes and keeps up with mileage of both. Counts calories, avg. speed, fastest speed. I like to look back at the history to compare times. You can even keep track of shoe mileage-it's just a crazy good app!
