Awesome app. Glympse allows me and my wife to make most of our time. We both have to commute but only have one car. I cannot use public transport to work, so I use the car. I drop off my girl friend at the train stop every morning before I drive to work, however, picking her up in the evening is not that easy since I might be stuck in traffic or her bus/train is caught up by the rush hour. Being on each others' screen through Glympse makes it much easier to still time our pickup well. If she is running late, I go to the store adjacent to the train stop first. If I am running late, she walks towards the way she sees me taking on glympse. Also, for longer driving without the other you can always make sure you know what's going on so that I can have dinner on the table by the time she is home for example. We seriously use Glympse every day. Just great!

Amazing app. My whole family has iPhones and we still use and love Glympse all the time. There’s just something cool and reassuring about watching your loved ones in REAL TIME coming and going. When my 13 year old babysits our younger kids she likes it when I send her a Glympse when we’re on our way home. She says it makes her feel better and helps her know when to start cleaning up (and turn off the TV! 😂)

Thanks. We have two homes one on each side of our state of North Dakota, especially in the winter we reside one in each home with frequent visits each time one or the other is traveling we use Glympse to keep checking on each others traveling, it’s such a comfort to know the progress especially with the Weather get in winter , our kids also like keeping track on us

Great app but should work with Apple CarPlay. This is a great app but defeats the purpose of having a navigation app that you don’t have to pick up and use with your hands while driving. It has yet been made compatible with Apple CarPlay. Also, it has a little bug. It’ll show somebody viewing the clips you sent to them and it will say “7 watching“. Another user may show up as “2 watching“.

Great location sharing app. This app allows you to send a pin of your current location and speed so people can keep track of where you are. An excellent way to keep tabs on family or company coming to visit. What is great for me is that my wife can know where I am in inclement weather or when I am going to be home very late. The only downside is that this is not a Siri recognized app, allowing me to send a Glympse on-the-fly if I forget to send one before I leave wherever I am at.

One of the most useful apps around. Better than find my friends by a mile, this is a must have app. Send friends and family a Glympse and let them track your progress on the way to their house, or find your buddies without trying to text constantly back and forth. Good bye “Where are you?”

Useful. I use this app to augment the Find Friends native app for friends without iPhones or for those who I’m not sharing locations with on the regular. A very strange side use of the app was to determine my speed when the speedometer in my car stopped working (and the only caveat to that is that I wish I could increase the font size of the speed reading)

Safe travels. At first I felt like Glympse was a bit stalkerish and unnecessary. However, I’ve come to like using it because of the feeling of security it provides. I travel extensively around the country with my toddler to visit family. My husband travels for work so he often isn’t with us. I can send a Glympse to my husband and the family members we’re visiting so they can see our progress. If I forget to tell them where exactly we’re stopping for a break or to eat, Glympse shows them where we are. God forbid something happens to us on the road, someone can see where we are.

Informative for clients. I love using this app do to several reasons. I own my own cleaning company so whoever I have scheduled that day I leave my home and once I get down the road generally to fuel up I will send them my glimpse to their location. They can see how far out I am and when to expect me time wise. I do travel a lot, so before I started using life 360 with my family I would use this tool as a live location for example my mom or dad or my kids to know that I was safe and they could see how fast I was going and so forth… They like to be nosy don’t they? LOL but I love this app thank you!!

Super App with occasional hiccups. Love it. Would like to see the ability create a longer time. 4 hours is not enough sometimes. After a recent update, when sending a Glympse via txt, the app says it was sent, but it really wasn't. If I reboot my phone, it starts working properly again--for a time. Then reverts to inaccurate "Glympse sent" messages. 2021 Update My old review above had a request for more than 4 hours, they have done that. Not sure which update created this but now the app shows every recipient as NEVER VIEWED even if they have viewed. I get the notifications if they check the link, but the app continues to show them as NEVER VIEWED. A software fix is required.

2 hours of sharing. I was a good ok app. However, the app stayed open for 2 hours. Meaning it was sharing my location for those hours and then it stopped. My kiddos were tracking me on my 8 hour drive and got worried when they didn’t see it anymore. When I got half was to my destination to put gas in my car. I looked on my phone to see that I had one that was there. I feel dumb for downloading this app. I know better next time.

Great app to let people see where you are. The app lets you generate a link to share your location for a set period of time. I use it when I’m meeting up with folks, so they can see how close I am. Much easier and safer than trying to use my phone while driving.

Setting up group. Location services is great and setting up your group is fairly easy, BUT - not being able to set the group and defer the invite to a later date is terrible. It’s a 5 star app except for this. I wanted to set up my list in advance so I could activate a couple days before an event instead of scrambling at the last minute. In spite of not telling it to send, my messages told me otherwise. I deleted the app and let the people the invites went to know to disregard. Can’t believe we can’t set up a draft-type list we can send when we’re ready.

Useful but poorly designed. First off I want to say this is an amazing app. But you can tell the developers don’t love their app, it’s been over 5 months since an update. Yet their Apple Watch app still requires a option that they removed 10 revisions back, meaning you can not sent a glympse from your watch because they removed a option in the settings and the watch require that setting to work!!! Trying to find a support email address or forum is totally a waste of time because they don’t want your input. I was forced to say these things because of their horrible support. Look for a way to contact them, I dare you..

Great for meeting up. We use Glympse all the time to find each other and meet up as a family. We have six so instead of having to text each other we just share location. I am geographically challenged and get lost a lot, and Glympse saves me from the anxiety of not being able to figure out where I can find my peeps. Love it.

Obsessed!. I am obsessed with this app. It holds me accountable. I will say “yes. I’m on my way. Walking out the door....” 30 minutes later—> I ACTUALLY walk out the door. But with Glympse, I share my location and destination with someone and tell them I am on my way and I actually go because they can see if I haven’t. It also helps that it’s MY idea. No one forcing me into accountability. It’s good stuff

Just doesn’t work as described (groups). For some reason the links always open in a browser even on my phone and looking at their FAQ from 6 yrs ago there doesn’t seem to be a valid way to just make this change in the application. Due to this I cannot make or share any private groups and there just does not seem to be anyway to get any help at all. Used to use this app with the bike club but going to have to move to a newer more modern application as this one is showing its limits and age. Wish there were just more options.

Beats phoning ahead!. Why call to say, “Well, I should be there at (such-and-such a time) – as long as traffic cooperates” – when you could just send them a glimpse of your location instead? That way, the folks at your destination can just tap the link you sent them and know where you are at any moment until you arrive. It’s a great app, and I use it all the time!

Useless. Tried this app to help keep track of my family. Out of seven devices, with only two being the same, zero were even remotely close to accurate. We tried using it in several different cities while traveling. Not once (literally) was it within a quarter of a mile of where the devices it was installed on. Seven devices.... didn’t come close to the correct location on a single one. My family and I use a couple of other apps which turned out to be way more accurate, usually within 20 feet or so. Even Facebook’s location sharing feature puts this app to shame. It would make sense to be a little off on some devices, but on several? Come on. Even on my iPhone 11 Pro, this app has never located my phone closer than a quarter of a mile out of the 30+ towns and cities I’ve tried it in. This app is absolute junk.

Not what it was in the beginning..... I travel frequently for work and for the last several months there has been issues with Glympse. With both sending location and if someone requests my location, unless we are both on the phone it will not link. Seems useless if one has no way to pick up the link at another time! AND...most times even if we are both on the phone at the same time it will not link. For busy people, knowing arrival times is crucial! I have an iPhone, and the app is current. I think this is an important app, but believe me, I’m nearly ready to look at other options, such as purchasing Spot which I would prefer not to do, but the reliability and ease of use, even with tech-savvy people, with Glympse is suffering badly.

Inconsistent results. When I started using Glympse maybe 8 months ago, it worked really great. But within the past several months, I have noticed that it freezes a lot. In fact today I have a friend traveling who is trying to share his route with me so that if anything happens to him I can alert authorities. However, Glympse has failed for the entire duration of his nearly 2 hour trip. This is not the first time and I want it fixed. It has the potential to be such an awesome app.

How?. I’m trying to figure this out. My mom has it set to when I text her and she’s driving- it sends her location automatically to me. How do I set that up? I want my location shared with a few specific people in those situations. And does it do it automatically or do i have to start it every time i get in the car? I have my phone settings set to if I’m driving it goes into do not disturb mode. There isn’t much of an “owners manual” for this app- If there is, please... direct me! Excited to set it up and get going!

Love glimpse!!!. Love glimpse. I first started using it for family meet ups. I use it when we’re getting together and there are multiples of us coming together at one location. Makes for easy planning if someone is cooking and needs to know when to pull out the roast... also disable your speed insight. My dad doesn’t need to know how late I am or how fast I drive ;) Additionally, I’ve found its great for airport pick ups, surprise parties and other friend meetings. No one is left waiting. You all know exactly where everyone is at and how fast they’re moving. My only wish is that the recent map view with the dotted line was a bit clearer. It’s hard to immediately see where people are at and what road they’re on.

Dont work correctly with my apple watch! Please fix... I like this app and its pretty good.. but then get an apple watch and its one the apps that should work with my apple watch series 6 but i cant use it correctly when i get a message saying “ to send a glympse you need turn on allow share from extension in the glympse iphone app”... and when i try to do that, there is no such option for me to do so in the iphone glympse app.. please fix this issue in a future update..

Good Tracking App. Works well, easy to use, permissions granted through a link from text, email, or social media brings you to a website to view real time map that lags by only a few seconds due to network. Seems to ping every 5 seconds which is pretty good for my purposes. Only wish is that it would simultaneously show my own location when tracking another phone.

It good. I love this app because when I’m at a friends house or something my mom can know where I am and I can know where she is. But the only thing that I would say that I would like to change is that if you have find my iPhone you can just put in there information and know where that are I just wish it were more like that or you could make a friends system like where you have certain people that you have as friends and you can see where they are. But other then that I really do like this app.

Stopped working. I e been using this for a couple of yrs now and all of a sudden it stopped working. Well the only thing that stopped is that it won’t generate the link that I send to people showing where I am at. I have deleted it and reinstalled it but it didn’t help. I tried to send in a message to support but I was not able to get that sent. I do like the app. It is a great thing. I hope to be able to get some support help on this.

Why doesn’t the Glympse open directly in the app?. When receiving a Glympse when I first started using the app, it used to open their location directly in the app and it was great. Now it opens via browser and I have to click the View in app option. Today when I clicked that option, it takes me to the App Store and tells me to open the app which when I do, does not show me my friend’s location. Disappointed in this change!!! Am I the only one? Is there a setting I’m missing that I can’t find?

Commuter App for Safety. I commute about 550 miles one way every week. A couple of quick taps and my wife knows where I am at any moment. If something should happen, she’d know right where to send help. This app really gives some peace of mind. It would be great if this integrated into Apple CarPlay though. Would make its use easier (and safer) while driving or motorcycling.

I’m old. Glympse is new.. My family needs to know when I will arrive and I need the same information from them when they (rarely) visit me. (I told you, I’m old.) Watching them navigate the highways and byways on their way to grandma’s house is a thrill. I can’t imagine the world two hundred years ago when pioneers and settlers couldn’t glimpse their relatives en route to their destinations. Merci, becoupes! Veronica

It’s ok. I use to love it but not so much anymore. It use to let me know when a user has viewed my location but it doesn’t work anymore. Also I can’t seem to find how to get my history of users. I can see them when I go to Share my Location but then it doesn’t let me delete any of them. Swiping doesn’t do anything.

Best Bet for safety. SO SIMPLE to use, even across platforms. Love LOVE using Glympse when loved ones are travelling to KNOW where they are and that they’ve arrived safely. Never has happened, but would also know where someone is if there was an unplanned stop or breakdown… Also great to let someone know where you are even if you’re just out for a walk.

Navigation buttons and editing location names. First off, I haven’t used it yet. However, during the setup process, I discovered a couple issues. First, the little itty bitty tiny back arrow is way too small. I’m not someone with giant hands trying to type on an iPhone 3, just an average Joe, using an iPhone X. I found that I have had to attempt to push/tap/mash the back arrow, about 5-10 times before it would go to the previous screen. If I was attempting to see, much less touch the back arrow while driving, I’d end up being some statistic. Please make it bigger and more distinguishable from background color. **Note - I wouldn’t try to use it while driving since my vehicle now recognizes the app. The second issue... In trying to rename a location, I finally discovered that I must hit return on the keyboard, which only makes the keyboard disappear, then I have to try my luck again with the back arrow. How about a “save” or “update” button, which automatically takes you back to the previous screen. Once I actually use it, and if I discover anything else of note, I will update my review. For now, it’s a 4 of 5, based on the hopes that it works as well as all of the previous reviewers have raved about, with the option to increase once issues are addressed.

Very handy. I send my wife a Glympse when I go out for a bicycle ride so she can track my location and see that I’m still moving. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I frequently get an “Unable to connect to network” message recently, and I don’t see any reason for it. The phone is getting cellular service when this happens. It also seems to continue sending my location when this is happening.

Generating Glympse Not Working. I’ve been using this App for several years and love it. In the last couple days the App stopped working. Although I have data the Glympse App gets stuck “Generating Glympse”. I thought this was a one time event but for me on an iPhone X and IPhone 5s the App will not “Generate Glympse” anymore. My guess is there are server side issues. I’ve power cycled the 2 different iPhones and confirmed data availability with SpeedTest and other Apps. High data speeds are available. I’ve force closed the Glympse App as well.

Try Out Public Tags. We used Glympse for our youth camp so that parents could go to our website and click on a unique bus link and see the location of the bus as it returned to their town. And as Camp Director I could see where my buses were as they came to camp. And the app even shows me how fast they were going and a estimated hours & minutes until arrival. So helpful! Thanks Glympse team; most excellent app.

Not as good as it used to be. I have an iPhone. With the old version of Glimpse, I could put in any destination address. Then, everyone that I shared my trip with could see where I was how far I was from the destination any given time. The Glimpse app would tell me and everyone that I shared my trip with, how much longer my travel time would be. Now, when I try to put in a destination address, the app wouldn’t allow me to. It will allow me to show others where I am, but not my destination or how much more travel time I have. Does anyone know of a good travel tracking app that works well???

Love it but want more from it. Love it as a fast secure location sharing app but when using it through iMessage I don’t like that you have to have the app open in order to use the iMessage shortcuts I wish it was more streamlined in general. The other thing is that the bread crumb trail can be very inaccurate sometimes it looks like I’m walking to places that I’m not at all. Idk if that is a problem with my phones gps or what but if that could be more precise and fine tuned this would be a killer app. Family360 from what I read isn’t secure and doesn’t care about your data privacy which is why I use Glympse. Hope you guys can make this app more streamlined in the future otherwise I’m pretty happy with the product so thanks 👍

Not a fan of the recent updates. We have used Glympse for several years as a surveillance team. It has been great up until the recent update. The large bubble icon and the blue tracking lines that follow every team member have made it more difficult to use. Please offer an option to remove the blue lines. Other than that Glympse has been a great tool for us to keep track of one another while working.

Constantly hangs when sending a glympse. After using this app for years with no problems, the app started hanging when sending the glympse a couple of months ago. I have to hard-exit the app, reopen, and resend the Glympse in order for it to work. I am not sure if the problem was caused by a change in Glympse or iOS, but after months of issues and other complaints, it is still not fixed. I have tried navigating the glympse help menu to find an answer or place to submit a problem, but can’t seem to find any place to get help. Hoping that posting the issue here might help get this bug fixed.

Very good, but needs tweaking. The accuracy and reliability is excellent. But, there are 2 things that need to be changed IMO. First, you can only set the tracking app for 12 hrs. Would be nice if it were for up to 7 days. Second, there is no way to delete the contacts you have sent the tracker to. My list has 100’s of needless contacts I can’t get rid of.

Simple and perfect. Glympse does what it's supposed to do, allow others to track your location and speed. My wife loves being able to keep an eye on me when I'm taking a long bike ride, and I like knowing that she's keeping an eye on me in case something should happen. (Even though she once "caught" me taking an unscheduled stop at the local ice cream shop!) Some years ago I got hit by a car while riding and ended up in the E.R. Nobody knew where I was! If I had had Glympse my wife would've known that something was wrong and could've found me.

D jones. I travel to Service customers machinery and appointments are not always exact because of the nature of what I do. Glimpse allows me to notify multiple appointments all at the same time as to my location and progress allowing them to better plan their day, works great and unlike other apps that claim they do this or that, I have never in the last year experienced one bug or screw up with this app, I’m glad my parents didn’t have this app when I was younger and dating!

Missing 1 feature but AWESOME otherwise. To the developers of this awesome app. I use glympse to let my clients on my limo bus find my location throughout the night. The great part is they don't have to install any apps to use it. It is a web based link they can see me from. The part I wish this app had was a way for them to see their own location on that link, or a way for them to connect their dot to my dot. I often have to park in an area just within walking distance but it gets difficult to describe to them where they are in relation to my location. This would be an amazing feature to include in a future update.

Handy but can’t use with Apple Watch series 5. I like how this works but when I try to use the Apple Watch app, it tells me that I must turn on the “Allow share from extension” in the Glympse iPhone app. Problem is, there is no option for that setting. It is now where in the Glympse app. I have opened every setting menu, tapped on every option twice to make sure I didn’t overlook it, but it does not exist. This is on an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Great app. Makes me feel safe. I was in a bad accident and hit my head. I had no idea where I was at. I hit redial on my phone and got my husband. He knew the route I normally took to work. He finally found me and got help. If I had this app he could have looked and sent help immediately. If you drive a lot of backroads, country roads this app is an absolute necessity. If you have teenagers that just started driving, this app is a necessity.

Useless app. Friends send a glympse via text to see where they are and the app refuses to load it. Stays on the data acceptance screen and just reloads it after accepting the terms. Force closing does nothing. WiFi vs cellular does nothing. Deleted the app and brought up the link through the website and it worked 2x. Subsequent glympses from friends give a site can’t be reached or the page continually refreshes itself every 2 seconds but never loads. Again making the friends glympse useless. Sharing location with google maps is infinitely simpler and actually works each time.

Great app. This app is pretty awesome. It’s good to know where a loved one is or them knowing where you are on long trips. Their last update a couple months ago seemed to cause a glitch where the app to not let me past the terms of service page. But deleting and reloading the app fixed that little hiccup. Note: I have to mention the guy whose review said he and his wife love the app. Then he goes on to say how he drops his girlfriend off at the train station in the morning. Haha. Well, his wife must know since they use this Glympse app!! Haha some more.

Frustrating. When I first started using this app I liked it but over time it’s become more frustrating because when I try to share my location or request it only works half the time. I keep resending in settings with WiFi or without and yet I get same result from multiple locations. I rebooted my phone and checked for app updates by my version was current. I’m about ready to seek another option because this is an important tool for me and my family.

App was great before the recent update. Had to turn off notifications because they were sent by the app every few seconds when someone opened my glympse link to view it. Annoying. Also all info used to be easy to see at once. Someone’s location, speed and seconds since last update were all in one place. I still can’t figure out how to conveniently view that info since the update. Don’t mess with a good thing! Didn’t need a “sleeker” ui. Just need an app that works and glympse used to belong in that category.

Awesome. Very handy app, my wife now knows when I am heading home in case I get stuck in traffic, or lost or head to the pub for a beer. Lol.

Great app and simple to use, love it!. What a great app! I am always on the road and constantly get the question from my wife " what time will you be home?" this works everytime and I use it for work and personal. Great job!

Very useful but there is always room for improvement. Very useful - would good to have an option to chose how often one position is updated say every 5 minutes would be adequate and save battery

Very cool. I'm a delivery driver and use this every day to show my customers how far away from their house I am. No one complains that you're late when they can watch you driving in real time! ;)

This is the app you are looking for. If you're trying to find someone, or someone's trying to find you, and you're not using Glympse, then you're just making unnecessary work for each other. With this app, you just fire and forget - you can find each other, or the other can just watch your progress. It also avoids any awkwardness about them wondering whether they should call to see where you are, or whether it might seem pushy. On commuting I send a glympse to my wife, and she need never chase me or wonder when I'll get home again

Love it!. Mum always wants to know where we are when we are traveling but can be a bit geographically challenged. It's awesome that she can see where we are in real time and follow along our journey with us.

Best App ever. Love It

No longer works on ios12 :(. I love this app and use it frequently. However it’s become unworkable on ios12. Crashes all the time. Can’t set the country or enter a name. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app but no difference. Please fix soon!

Must have. Very useful.. This is a great and practical app that doesnt require your friends to be using it. Also makes for a fun talking point when you arrive at your location. Best and most unique app on my phone.

Not working for iPhone 11 Pro. I use to love this app - but it’s not working for iPhone 11 Pro! It’s so bad!

Family safety is the best feature.. My family travels far and wide and Glympse allows us, with their permission, to keep an eye on them. Not spying, just making sure they are safe. Great app and very easy to use.

Better alternative to google latitude.. Great little app that allows your friends and family to see where you are. Say if your Picking them up they can see when you have turned onto their street and make your way out the front. I use this all the time! Also if you are letting friends and family knowing if you have arrived to your location. Only problem is you need to have your iPhone/iPad connected up to power as with all Location services APPs.

Brilliant. Lets me have dinner on the table just as my girlfriend walks through the door. Shows speed, route, estimated time. Works via SMS in Australia too. Doesn't seem to automatically open the app any more, settling on the safari browser instead and requiring intervention from the user to have a Glympse appear in the app.

How amazing is this tool. I would pay $20 for this, great when doing tours , we message our clients to see how far away we are

Crash City!. Constant crashing during beta iOS testing and their "support" should be renamed, coz they provide anything but! When provided with the feedback, I was told to try again when not beta testing; isn't that the point? To fix things before public release? They've updated the app since they were advised of it not opening, yet still haven't bothered to try fix it. Good work, Glympse staff; another previously happy customer who won't be back. 👎🏻

Love this app, room for further development. I love this app and I have for many, many years. I'd love to see apple CarPlay support and Apple Watch support roll out however. Particularly the car aspect, I know apple can be super strict on this side of things but if there was some way to add functionality, this would be it. Tell your boss, wife, friend how late your going to be but also give them a direct feed to where you are? Fantastic.

Very useful. A great way to let loved ones know how far away you are. Would be good if you could authorise friends to pull your location similar to "find my friends".

Accurate and Dependable. Totally recommend Glympse to people looking for location sharing apps. Useful for giving confidence to family or clients, that you are on the way. The means to share location is not totally intuitive/obvious but it's easily found and learned. I'm a little particular about privacy away from when it's necessary to be 100% available, and switch off all Permissions when not using the app. That it's easy to do so, is a great aspect. Please don't "do a Microsoft" as they have recently done with Skype and turn it into an unusable mash!

Great at just what I have been looking for. Been looking around for an app that lets people track my progress while on route for a while I've found quite a few that hit the mark but this is the best I've see yet My favorite feature is the ability for the tracker not to have to sign up to a service or download an app People are tied of resisting new accounts so that just don't bother Nice work looking forward to see what you come up with next

Practical easy to use. My family use it all the time. Great to know where they are as we travel so much. Highly recommended.

Functional but annoying. This is a great app until you don’t rate it. Firstly the repetitive and annoying nature of the reminders is a big detractor. Finally cause I haven’t got around to rating it, it has stopped working for incoming glimpses. So while the app has the potential to be great it falls to annoying.

Love this app, BUT!!. I used to use this app a lot, so did the rest of my family. But since I got the iPhone 11 Max Pro, it no longer works on this phone. I hope that it is updated soon

Best tool on your phone. No better way to have coffee on the table just as the wife rolls into the cafe. Nice thanks guys

Update Needed. I love this app. We use it on our motorbikes for group rides. If the group gets split up for any reason we are able to identify where the others are and rejoin them. Since upgrading my phone to IOS12 the app isn't working. Select country to enter phone number and crash or enter as guest and select config then crash. Looking forward to a fix.

Fantastic app, only one thing missing really. Siri Shortcuts.. If this app could integrate into Shortcuts/Siri Shortcuts, that would be the final thing that’s missing for many people I think

Almost there.... Great tracking app in that there's no need for the other person to have downloaded the app and no awkward codes via email. (It uses SMS). I like the selection of duration as I have sometimes forgotten to cancel tracking and used up heaps of battery & data in the process. The only drawbacks: It uses Apple Maps which is a terrible, third class mapping service. Please switch to Google Maps. Secondly? There are moderately frequent drop outs where the location is not updated for many minutes for the person following someone. The tracking aspect could therefore be a little more polished.

Wonderfully useful. Great when traveling and so safe and convenient when driving. People don't need to wonder what's your ETA. They don't even need this app to view your location! Feedback: maybe let us set the update interval.

View only needs Navigate option. Sending SMS link opens page with a map. But it needs a navigation link in google maps so you can navigate to location to make it perfect for my use.

Un-believable lag. To do anything in this app you need too push the buttons at least 5 times IF it decides to work and not crash. Night mode is even worse as to search an address you need to type every detail about the destination for the app to find it, then 2/5 times you can set it as your destination if it doesn’t crash, if I didn’t have to use it for work I would not even consider this terrible app on my phone

Brilliant app would love to see shortcuts support. Imagine being able to start a glympse and put the URL on the clipboard, then send that in a text as part of an iOS 12 shortcut. That would be the icing on the cake for this awesome app

Almost perfect. Ok so I love this app and use it so much, thank you! But I'm leaving this review for one reason, PLEASE LET US CHOOSE MORE THAN 4 HOURS FOR A TRIP DIRATION! I know your FAQ says it's due to battery but I always use it in the car, in a charging car kit, and sometimes I drive 15 hours in a day. It's dangerous (and not easy while driving to extend the trip) and if you let it expire you have to send everyone a new Glympse, which confuses some people. Please consider it! I gave you 5 stars in anticipation :)

Unreliable. Doesn’t work. Have tried once or twice a year for a decade and it does not work. Often the problem occurs at the recipient end - they receive the notification on their iPhone X, 11 or 12 but cannot access my location. Complete junk.

Simple to use. Great app that works well. Great for my 80 year old parents who now don't ring me multiple times when I go to visit them as they can track me on the iPad and not worry where I am if I am running late.

Quick. Works. I like this. I have a couple of on-bike alternatives such as Strava beacon or Garmin live-track but this is quick, easy and just works. The only quibble I had was time and route estimates were a bit off considering I ride mostly... latest update includes transport mode :-)

Love the app but crashing recently. This app is excellent and usually reliable but has recently been crashing when I try to open it. I’d hoped the update available today might have fixed this issue but unfortunately it’s still not functioning and keeps crashing as it attempts to open.

Dark Mode needs work. Some text and buttons are illegible in Dark Mode on iOS. For example the ‘Select’ button in Destination setting. Many other places in the app too. For example within Settings it is hard to know which slider is ON and which is OFF. A user has to turn off Dark Mode to see!

Use this app all the time.. My husband and I use this app all the time to coordinate meeting up, it's great. He has also introduced a number of friends to the app, who are all using it now.

One of the best locations apps around. Such a good app to use when you want to just let a friend know you’re on the way, but don’t want them to have access to your location for any longer periods of time. I use it with my riding group and love it! Great job guys.

Still a bit buggy but very useful.. One of the most useful apps on my phone But viewing a glympse still requires the user to go through iMessage, then Safari, rather than receiving a push notification straight from the app itself. Bugs, of course, but definitely getting there.

Works great! Use it every day.. Functions exactly as advertised. wish there was a way to default opening of links in the app instead of the browser, but that may be a limitation of iOS.

Useful. I found this great to let people know how far away I am from getting to my destination. They can track my progress even keep an eye on my speed. Haven't used this to keep track of my teenager yet but I can see I could. A handy app.

Great app gone backwards. This has been one of my favorite apps but the new version is terrible. Just to switch between 2 people's maps I have to hit the drop down arrow, then select the other person, then hit the drop arrow again. Are u kidding?? The old one had an arrow on the top bar that u hit and instantly switched maps (one tap is much better than three) please fix design people!! How did that get through at the design meetings!!

Great 👍. Recommend monitoring and track suspected cheating wive and activities at work. However this great app couldn’t grant all access I needed to detect and catch my wife red handed in her deceptive ways. It all started when I had a suspicion on her with some recently inherited behavior like staying out late nights after work, being clingy to her phones and so on. I came to the internet to find a lasting solution to solve my marital problems. Thank God, faz came my way after checking through positive reviews , how he helped a woman catch her cheating husband red handed. I reached him via his mail at targetspytech (@) gmailcom and he requested for certain info such as my spouses phone number and phone model. Within hrs I got a notification popped up on my phone it was from Faz. he gave me a spy link which I accessed with my phone web browser there I was able to see all of his texts, call logs, WhatsApp, deleted conversation, social media shared pictures and videos etc as if I got his phone in my palms. It’s really a great opportunity to use the services of targetspytech (@) gmailcom, if you got similar issues right now I’ll strongly advice you write him for an excellent spying and tracking services. Great app to use instead of sending multiple texts. No need to send a text when you've been delayed, or to say that you got home safely. Does drain the battery quite quickly, so I use it in the car when plugged into a power source and expire the Glympse as soon as it's no longer needed.

Converge. It would be nice if the recipient could see their own location as well as the person who sent it to them so they could converge and meet

Not working. After last update on IOS not working. New terms page press Accept but won’t go anywhere. Does this on both our phones. No way to contact support via email so will leave this review. Loved it when it worked and hope for a fix soon

Rob. Unbelievable Finally somebody made an app that is just what I want. Unbelievably simple, only requires email for app (encrypted) after input. Works flawlessly. I am a pilot, trucker, boater, and this just saved me a ton. Thanks so much. I’d even gladly pay for this.

Still needs work. I downloaded this app on Two cell phones. When I tried to add a cell phone's location to the other, the app tried iMessage à web site link instead of using the app to add a glympse contact

Glympse. Does exactly what it says. So far no problems.

My wife can keep tabs on me. Less stressful for my wife and she knows what to do if I go down.

Location services always on. Please allow for location services to be used while the app is being used only. I prefer not to be constantly broadcasting my location.

No longer supported. It was good while it lasted but as of July 2021 it has not worked for months. Based on comments on their web site they stopped supporting it 4 years ago. Is there an alternative?

Cool app. Perfect little gps tracking app!! Need a little tweaking like to be able to edit and re save favourites and the time to view. Other then that, it's a great free product.

Let your loved ones know where you are. I don't use this app very often but when I do it is invaluable. I can send a link to a family member or friend that let's them see where I am. Great when I am driving to pick them up. They don't have to call to find out where I am and how long before I arrive.

Love the app but,. In last month has been crashing closed either on opening or once creating a link. Most infuriating.

Everything is perfect!. You get no bad surprises with using this app! It's solid, stable and delivers what you expect it to do!

Crashes upon generating link and doesn’t track. Once again the app no longer tracks you when using it. People who receive a link only see a non-moving location. It doesn’t change when you change location. The app also crashes immediately upon generating a link to share, which is why I suspect the tracking isn’t working correctly. This happens quite often with this app. It needs to be fixed.

App is now failing for my wife to track. Have used this app for years 5 stars, now 1 Star. However, this cycling season the app continues to fail and closes on my wife’s phone. She can’t even accept the link before it closes. Nothing has changed and worked fine up until the end of outdoor cycling in 2020. This for me was important to make her aware of my location, expected return and my safety. Disappointed with the lack of support she has not received. I can no longer use this product and will have to revert to my Garmin device or Specialized helmet tracker. Unfortunately not as nice a Glympse was.

Consistently used. Just works great. Tremendous tool for finding people and being found, only for as long as desired.full control for the sender, as it should be.best of all, the recipient doesn't need to have the app to view. Brilliant.

Great when meeting people. We have travelled to meet strangers when buying or selling something. Often we meet halfway and Glympse is a great tool for each knowing where the other is and the time each of you will arrive.

Love this App!. Glimpse is a great application for staying in touch with your family and friends. The best part is that they don't even need to have the app installed or even a cell phone. All they need access to is a web browser and they can track you realtime on a map for a predetermined amount of time. You can even see the last time they last viewed your location. My partner and I use it all the time when we are running late. I highly recommend this app!

Stopped working properly.... This app used to work flawlessly, but ever since the latest version it doesn't work half the time anymore. I use it with friends, and sometimes it won't update their location unless I ask them to turn the app on again on their phone. If they don't turn it on, the latest update can be 45 minutes ago... What's the point.? Completely ridiculous.

Works great when it works. Only works about one out of 8 tries these days. The other times sit at the generating screen for 20 minutes before successfully generating the glympse. This is on a 100 Mbps LTE network.

Constant crashing. I used it for a long while it was great. Now it constantly crashes every time I try to use it

Constant Hanging. I’ve used Glympse for years and would rate it 5 stars normally but for the past several months, every single time I send a Glympse, the app hangs, I have to force-quit it, and then re-send the Glympse (always works on re-launch). I emailed support 2 months ago and they were aware of the issue, but to date there has been no fix. I’ll update rating once the app works again.

Beats the competition. Easy to use - pick people, time limit, send! Safe - decide who and when someone sees you, and focus on driving rather than updating. Universal - not tied to any one device or OS, just need Internet and a browser. Use this all the time with my friends. A bit if a battery drain for GPS, but worth it!

From flawless 5 stars, to buggy 1 stars. To developers: please help. This bug is being ignored... An app I love is becoming useless... Tried to uninstall then reinstall, same bugs appear: The app no longer opens from text messages, only the webpage. The hard press menu is different than the online support: cannot select preference of opening. Trying to open the app from the webpage leads 3/5 to the iOS App Store and 2/5 to the app. Dropped to one star. Utterly useless with all the bugs. So sad...

Very little lag,. I’ve finally had a chance to use this app. My son had to drive to a town in Northern Québec in January. With the extreme cold weather and snow covered roads, being able to follow his progress was securing for a parent. We talked on the phone and we compared notes as to where he was and there was a 10seconds delay. Absolutely amazing app!!!

Siri support needed. This is an amazing app but it needs support for Siri so one can simply ask Siri to send a Glympse to friends for the location that is input into maps.

Indispensable if you travel a lot and have a family. I’m frequently on the road and it gives my family piece of mind to be able to see where I’m at. More reliable than iMessage location sharing and accessible to any device or computer with internet access. My only gripe is that the UI is pretty confusing. Could be a lot simpler.

Used by a Corvette group.. I’m part of a corvette group and we use this app all the time. Never had any real major issues with it and it’s very user friendly.

Wonderful!. Glympse is wonderful for keeping family updated on how near or far you are from them. We always use it when heading to our out of state daughter's house. If we get lost, we send a Glympse to her and she tells us street by street how to get where we need to be! Would hate to be without it.

Great App. My family uses this app regularly as we live in North Dakota where snow storms and blizzards are frequent, monitor each other’s trips to and from work, as AAA isn’t a viable roadside option here. Very accurate in actual geographical position, speed and direction.

Gotten away from them. Glimpse no longer works properly. My friend sends the Glympse notification through messages. I tap it to open and I am taken to an advertising page for the Glympse app. I already have it. I have unloaded the app and tried rebooting several times. It used to simply open in my Glympse app and was convenient. Now, I can’t even see my friend’s location because Glympse is trying to get me to download the app I already have. Glympse was great a year ago, but it seems to have gotten away from the intended use and become ineffectual.

Guess another app goes in the pile. As others have stated, you can’t actually move beyond the “accept the updated terms” screen, and the last update was 4 months ago, so looks like this app is just dead and gone like so many others. Shame. This used to be a really fantastic app, but now it’ll get deleted since it’s effectively USELESS if you can’t get past that stupid notice screen when launching.

Use Glimpse Daily. My husband sends me a Glimpse when he leaves work. This helps we have dinner hot when he gets home. The text is helpful. Also like when can let people know how far we are when meeting anywhere.

Great app, Big problem!. This is merely a great app when it comes to location sharing. But there is a BIG downside... guess what! It cannot share the link on iPad just because it says “iPad cannot send text message!” Are you kidding me! Just fix it and get the next star... doing that is just like a piece of cake.

New update makes viewing speed cumbersome.. It was really convenient to be able to see speed at a glance when looking at the map. Having to click on the icon makes this more difficult.

Pat your own back. App keeps asking me to rate it while I am trying to use it. Which makes it dangerous to use... have to answer it’s stupid self rating system in order to continue use. I like how this app actually works while I am out cycling to let my wife know im moving and safe. I just don’t want to be bugged constantly with rating it while I am moving.

What happened. When I first got this app I loved it and it worked perfectly. I don’t know what happed or when it stared but it no longer works. I went to app page to check that I had my phone setting correctly for the apps to work and I have all my setting setup exactly as suggested and Glymps no longer works. When ever I send link to friends to share where I am all the app does is spins and never sends the information. I’m currently trying to find a new app that will work like Glymps and I will even pay for one that works.

Simple and useful App. Glympse is one of the most used apps I own. My husband is s cyclist who bikes in the city. I can view his progress and have on one occasion, was able to determine that he was involved in an accident. To say this app is a lifesaver is true. Thank you Glympse!

Love this App. This app might seriously save lives. Whether you’re lost or in a car accident or whatever. Whenever you travel alone especially. Plus, you don’t have to take your eyes off the road to text someone you’re almost there.

Again, too many clicks to open. When I receive a Glympse link, I click, it opens in safari. I click “view map”. I click “view in app”. It says Open App Store, I click “cancel”. I click “view in app” again. It says Open in Glympse, I click “Open”.

Awesome. I love sending my kids my location. They know exactly when I’m there to pick them up and I don’t have to wait. And they don’t have to wonder where I am. Only downside: they can see my driving speed and they tell me I drive too slowly. Haha

Family At Ease. No more having to remember to let family know when you get someplace. Also in Michigan winters it is nice knowing if we go off the road that there is a map showing exactly where we are located.

Very useful app. My husband and I used this app daily when we were a one-car couple coordinating pick-ups at the train station. Now that we have two cars we still use it whenever we’re meeting someplace, or coordinating a pick-up to go out together or even just to let each other know where we are and when we’ll be home.

May save your life!. I love Glympse. It allows you to keep track of loved ones when they're traveling. And it works very well. I’ve been using this program for a few years and with each update it gets better.

In a year. I've been using Glympse for a year. My fiance and I use the app to track one another bc were constantly on the go. It cuts down on the texting and phone calls. It's always accurate and we've never had any issues with app.

Worked yesterday but not today.. Yesterday my daddy took off on a 9 hour trip. He had car trouble soon after he left and we were able to locate him and help him. But today when he took off, the app continues to say it can’t connect to network. I was really relying on this app to help me with my fathers travels today. — not happy about this. The network is working fine on my end. I have WiFi and cell service. It must be a problem on their end.

Use to be a fan !!!. Today was a day from hell ...I’m a professional driver and I was recommended by several clients and fellow affiliates as someone who was a good person to use while in Chicago. High end client with a detail who tracks his every move via Glympse and the app decided not to work and made me seem as though I am not up to par with technology. Everything seemed fine now my reputation is marred due to this and this could have been a deal that put me over the top . Tried restarting and refreshing but then Apple just got tired and threw the towel in

Simple location sharing. I can imagine some people saying "what's the difference between this and Apple location sharing"? Let's just say it's a nice alternative to using that...give yourself a few more options, etc.

If you want to keep track this is the only app. By far the best app in the App Store for keeping track and finding someone in a crowd. Or just letting someone know when you will be home. Works wonderful When one person is out on a bicycle so the other can keep track.

I can’t get past the ‘I agree' page!. The ‘I agree’ page flashes a map and goes back to’i agree’ page. The app blocks me from opening the Glympse sent to me by a traveler by going to the app. On my other iPad without the app I can get the Glympse. USELESS and I can’t delete the app!

Get out the door faster. Love Glympse! It’s great to let someone know when you’re on your way. We use it often to let my parents know when we’re on our way. That way when we’re close they start getting ready to leave and are walking out the door as we pull up.

Road trips. I use Glympse when we have a motorcycle ride and we’re picking up others along the way. They know when we will arrive and fall right in line without having to stop and re-group.

Good lord this is a frustrating app.. When it works it’s great! Just be prepared to be nagged like your phone is a crack head looking for a fix...expect to need to restart your phone whenever generating a glympse fails or the nagging doesn’t stop, even if you cancel the glympse, it still notify you every minute ‘please switch back and hit send’ even though it’s stuck twirling away until you pull your hair out....

Nice. My girlfriend uses this for me to pick her up from places and it works every time. I love her and this app. She introduced me to it. Just wish it could have no time limit and the user could choose when to disable it or enable it at will. That way it could be used for family for safety.

Great App!!!. It's great for my family to keep tabs on me if I'm out somewhere new and want them to check in on my location. It's great for traveling with or to others so they can know how early or late I'll be. I can tell it how long I want them to see my location.

So helpful!. I’ve used this app for both personal and business use. It shows your location at every moment which is perfect for meeting up with your friends. It also works out great when I’m making a delivery to a customer because they know right when I’ll be there.

App constantly crashes with “Fatal Error” message. Each time the app is opened it asks for me to agree to share location, switches to the map for a second, then brings me back to the window asking to accept the app tracking location. It is a continuous loop and each time I click “accept,” it sends me a message saying “Fatal Error. If problem persists contact support...” I did, and they thanked me for reporting without providing a fix.

This app freezes up too often.. This app could be amazing.. but every single time my daughter uses it coming home from college, it freezes. She’s 5 1/2 hours away and I like to see where she is along the way, but it never fails, it always freezes up before she gets home or back to school. It now says it was last updated 55 minutes ago. I’ve tried exits by the app, going back to the original text where she shared her Glympse, but still frozen. Grrr!!

Failure to inform me my invite is viewing. Over the past two weeks Glympse no longer tells me that a person I invited to view my location is watching. This wasn’t a problem at the beginning of January. When I ask the recipient if the are viewing my Glympse they indicate they see my real time location updating but my app still says they haven’t viewed. Please fix this bug!

Great app.. I use this app all the time. For clients and family. If they’re wondering where you are and when you’ll get here, they don’t need to call. Just look at the Glympse. Then they know if they should start the dinner or wait a bit. It’s great. And I recommend it to everyone.

No Longer Works!. Developers: HELP! Please fix the crashing!!! I have had this app for years & loved it. However, with the recent update it no longer works. App crashes every time. I have read the forums and changed all the settings accordingly and also changed the location setting to Always (which was not required on the previous version of this app). Why did you make it worse instead of better in this new update?!?

Glympse is awesome!. I use Glympse to show my babysitter when I’m on my way to get the kids. My friend also sends me their location to let me know how far they are so I’m sure to be ready when they come pick me up. It’s helpful!

My favorite for real-time sharing. I prefer this over Apple’s location sharing or google maps, or Waze. This lets folks see real time location with speed, and it’s easy. Down-side: it’s the only thing it does well.

Latest update causes continuous notifications. I updated to the latest version and now when I send someone a Glympse, I receive constant notifications that the person I sent it to has read/opened my Glympse. It’s very distracting as it constantly pops up on screen every 1-5 seconds. Please fix this issue

Won’t link to Evernote. This app is exactly what I need for my business, the only problem is when I click on the button to link my Evernote account nothing happens, I’ve tried on multiple peoples phones, and every time I click on the link Evernote nothing happens. Please fix this asap

Love this app. Very useful, I love using this app. And I like that you can select how long you share your location. The only setback is that I wish the app would ask you at least 2 or 3 more times if you want to view somebody’s location 🙄

Best Option so Someone Knows You're Really Coming. I use Glympse *all the time* when headed somewhere to meet someone. It's always reassuring for them to know I'm on my way, even when I'll be on time—but especially on the occasions I might be a few minutes late. Over and over recipients say, "Wow, that's cool! And so helpful."

Wonderful!. My husband and I use Glympse daily👍🏻 He is a runner and biker...I love seeing where he is and that he’s ok. We have used it to find each other while out walking or even to show where we are located while driving. Love using it!
