Outstanding App. Just one try and your hooked with this app to record your workouts.

Has Not Failed Me. I am a walker...fast and slow. I do not jog nor run, so I cannot address this app for those who do. But, this app has been working consistently for me month after month. It gives me all the data to let me know how my workout/walkout is doing per day and over time. It has not failed me. I endorse this app.

ERROR !. I get this write message every time: “Import Data Problem In order to import the sessions you have to bring the lite version up to date first. Please go to App Store and update Footsteps Lite.” ZERO support from developer. I never had lite, and downloading it does not help. Background: I used another app which stored all pedometer data in the Apple HEALTH app. I “upgraded” to Footsteps, expecting those records to import so I would have a full, complete history. But no. Fail. The app just asks for the lite version and then chokes.

nice and simple. i got it to get a relative idea of how i am doing on my walks since i am trying to lose a little weight and improve my asthma and what not. it works with the apple health app which is nice and its not over complicated or hard to use. also nice :)

Long-time user returns!. I used this app for a long time on an iPod Touch. I experimented with some other accelerometer-based pedometers but usually came back to this one. When I got an iPhone, I started using GPS-enabled apps to track outdoor workouts (running and cycling) but still wanted something else to track steps in everyday life. I was using an app that used GPS in combination with the accelerometer for a while and liked that it could run all day in the background (so I could set it and forget it), but I didn't like the way it used up battery power. Another app used the accelerometer only and would also run in the background, but it didn't automatically detect pauses. Footsteps always detected pauses but for a long time only ran in foreground. So when I saw that the latest update enabled running in background, I was happy to download it again. A couple of improvements to setting step length and step sensitivity would make the app a little better, but this is pretty good. Thanks for updating this!

Steps. Difficult to navigate settings. Company won’t get back to me.

footsteps is the best. I use this app everyday. It’s accurate easy to use and has various features I really like. Thank you footsteps

Not all it's cracked up to be.... Great apps are in the little details that make the difference. I have been using the app for 14 days straight. I have walked the same path every day and the numbers don't add up. I understand that I will not walk the exact amount every time but there are a lot of things that don't make sense. Lets start with what works. The timer. The step counter is fairly consistent considering I walk at different paces so the number of steps will be different. Here's where it gets interesting, Distance. Depending on the given day I had walked anywhere from 1.79 miles to 3.2 miles over the same route. The most interesting aspect is the final day of the test I walked the route as fast as I could. I cut 10 minutes off my time but the speed of the walk was slower than any other walk and the average speed was almost half of my regular speed walks. The history aspect is also irritating. Some days the session is saved like you would expect. The date & time of the session. Sometimes the session will save over a 24 hour period from the stop time of the previous session & the start time next session. Hopefully these issues for me can be resolved. Until then I'll be looking for a better app.

Excellent. Great app, very useful.

Love the app but.... It's easy to use but it is showing incorrect data for number of steps and time elapsed. I have checked FAQs and my settings. Please help. Thank you in advance.

Pretty decent. I have enjoyed using this as part of my workout and have found it to be very accurate when running around a track. You do have to do some set up to get proper results for yourself. My complaints would be that the auto walk/ run feature does't always work resulting in walking calculations after a run or vice versa, and it also stops calculating when phone goes into sleep mode. I now manually switch the walk/run mode and constantly check my phone to make sure it hasn't gone into sleep mode.

Less than satisfactory. I just upgraded to the full version yesterday when my free version only went up to 3000 steps. Needless to say my walk was not over yet. I upgraded to the full version and on today's walk I was averaging 3.8 mph because I know how long it takes me to get from one landmark to another and wants to pace I have to keep. Along the way in the "lock mode" the audible pace noise that sets the tempo would cut in and cut out. As I'm walking and looking at this app the MPH was anywhere from 1.9 - 3.9 mph. At the end of my walk which should have been 1.75 miles it told me I had only walked 1.23 miles at 1.9 mph avg. if I try to put my iPhone 5s in my pocket while walking it would stop altogether! I had to carry it in my hand the whole time during my walk and 8°F weather. It's still cut in and out but was a little better. Another feature I think it should have and does not would be the ability to calculate your distance based on the duration of the walk/run and mph you were walking/running as well as sensing if you are ascending or descending hills. If were going to pay for the full version we might as well get our moneys worth.

Footsteps is Great. Purchasing the upgrade is worthwhile! It easily links with your health app and is convenient to use. I've been using it for years and would be lost without it! Happy Exercising!

The only app I use!. There are several out there...this is the best one. There was a slight problem and it was fixed immediately! Love it!!!

Good for my dog walking. Slip it in my pocket and off we go

Walk-ing. Got me started walking again!

History. Love keeping track but the history section doesn’t work well. You can’t look back with our the app closing.

Great for beginners only!. This app was awesome when I first started walking regularly. I loved that it tracked everything... Speed, distance, time, calories... Everything you want to know when beginning a new walk/run routine. It challenged and motivated me each time to do a little better than the day before. However, after 6 months NOTHING worked quite right. As my routine progressed and I was running as much as walking, NOTHING was tracked accurately! I would walk for 90 min, it would say 65... I would run more than half my routine, it only tracked maybe 30% at best. Even the distance was way off. The longer into my routine, the less and slower it tracked accurately, which was very disappointing since I had grown to rely on tracking my progress. I've updated, deleted, reloaded, etc and nothing seemed to help. Like I said... Great for beginners. Time to move on!

No customer support response. I have been using this app for almost two years. Recently, after the most recent update, an issue has cropped up where the step counter runs backwards when I start to walk after a pause, losing as many as 150 steps. That's tough. I emailed technical support to no avail. They have not replied at all to my request for help. There are many other apps out there, e.g., Walker, Argus, etc. Save your money. Will you please update your app? It frequently quits or functions erratically. I am using iOS 11.3, iPhone 6 +

Walker. Works great. Needs a widget so you don't have to unlock your phone while walking.

Hiker gal. Was hiking at a state park in Delaware. This worked great! Will continue using.

Love it. I love this app so easy to use. Not super accurate when it comes to miles. But I still love it.

Like it. I like this app pretty well. Best one I have tried. Been using it for over two years!

A solid pedometer. I was looking for a pedometer for my iPhone since I have it on all day anyway. Even though this one only had a few reviews, it seemed to have all the features I wanted. Simple, straightforward, easy to use. It works well with counting walk steps and is very accurate. I have not tried it running. The developer gives very clear instructions about how to use the iPod function because none of these apps can run in the background. What no one points out is that if you get a text or phone call while the pedometer is working, it stops counting. You need to remember to restart it after the call. That is apparently an inherent issue with all these types of apps. For that reason, I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. But it does what it says. Worth the 3 bucks.

Easy to use and pretty accurate!. This is a great app if you want to track your steps in the most accurate and detailed way!

Great App!!. I hike the mountains in Phoenix and this has been great to show me how far my husband and I really walk. The only thing I noticed is, I also walk on a treadmill every morning and I have not yet figured out how to synchronize the two exactly. The app is always a little behind what my treadmill says. I walk 4 miles/hr for 30 minutes and it should be 2 miles, right? The closest I can get the app, with the settings is, 2.2 on the treadmill, before I hear the 2 mile ding on the app. BUT IT IS A GREAT TOOL for walkers!

Automatic start. The automatic start feature does not stop and start automatically. I don't always remember to turn it on and it's very frustrating when it doesn't record my steps. I've sent emails to tech-support, but they have not responded. Has anybody else had this problem, and how did you resolve it?

DF. I use this app every day and when I went to use it today the ‘start workout’ button had disappeared. I deleted the app and then reinstalled it. The start workout button is back but needless to say my entire workout history was lost.

New format. I DONT LIKE IT !! I want the old, easy to understand version and this one keeps stopping the count. I want the other version back.

Improvements. This is a good app. Improvements could be a voice that tells you when you have reached milestones in you exercise routine. An app that I have does that but is not supported in the next OS upgrade.

Feet. # of feet in history doesn’t make sense please explain...

Easy to use. Easy to use and accurate

Works great. So far no problems!

No. Yes yooooo

I like it but.... I like this app, it seems to be pretty accurate and I love that it tracks the time I spent walking as well as how many calories I’m burning. However, I’ve noticed that the app doesn’t start counting my steps automatically even when I put it on “always track steps”. I have to first open the app for it to start tracking my steps. With that being said, if I close the app during the day it will stop tracking my steps. So I have to remember to reopen it if I close it. And that’s kind of a hassle. It would be nice if it tracked my steps even if I close it or if I forget to open it. Other than that, I like the app.

Not working. Not working with IOS 13

Problem. It’s Not Working With iOS 13.

Rip off. Been using this app for couple years and no record just about anything any miles but now they got cheap now you're only limited to 3000 miles that'll be the last time I ever use this app there are plenty other apps that do the same thing I was a fan but now I'm not thank you and goodbye

Good review. This app works great . I recommend using this application and tracking your daily activity.

Works not as good after update. Not as trustworthy to work right after update . Lost 2 years of data when I updated.

Needs improvement. The screen is constany flickering on and off, especially when I try to add things to my playlist. I've tried restarting the app and my phone, and it doesn't help. I agree with others that the app needs to count steps throughout the day, even when the user is doing other things, like talking or texting. I would like to track my steps throughout the day; otherwise, what is the point of having a daily vs. manual mode? I do like the display and all the information it contains. I'm not sure how accurate the calorie counter is though-- even after I entered my weight it didn't change, and there's nowhere to enter height and sex, which does factor into calorie burning.

Not too accurate. Good app but the counter is not so accurate

Does not record distance accurately. Used on a 2 mile marked course, app consistently was from .50 to 1.04 mile off on the distance.

Don't waste your money...... I purchased this app for the calories burned.....but it doesn't sync with my Apple Watch!

Easy and Excellent and Fun. Thank you

Use it and like it. Seems fairly Accurate

Crashed. I have been using Footsteps app for years. A great way to keep up with my daily walk. It stopped keeping track of my steps as it would go to pause and not start up again. I deleted the app and now I have downloaded it again. I lost all of my data but I wasn’t getting credit for my steps. I hope it works better this time.

Great App!. I use this app all the time. It pauses when you pause and you can save your walks, hikes or runs. It takes a little bit to get it adjusted to your footsteps.

Appreciate it!!!!. Makes me want to leave my goals each day!!!

Footsteps app. I like Footsteps app. It is simple to use. It has exactly what I wanted in an app to count how much I walked per day. It counts steps, the mileage, time, walking or running, and holds history. It probly does much more but that’s what I wanted in a simple to use format. In this format, the app is also free.

Great until it froze. I was really impressed with all the features but after a few week it stopped working altogether

Works really well.. Very accurate, I was surprised how well it tracked distance. Great for tracking exercise when you have bad gps reception or you're on a treadmill.

This app doesn't work? Refund?. Charts looks nice BUT the app is so far out of whack with actual walk times they are too inaccurate to worry about, I.e I know I have been walking for 30mins but the app claims I have only been walking for 23mins. I thought the apple App Store was regulated to ensure quality control - obviously not!!

Good Stuff. Great App, many features in every step. A few probs with auto pause though. Good all rounder.

Ella van acker. I love it I use it every day assists me to set distance goals and tracks my speed again I love it

Cassidy. Great app! I love it because it shows you very clearly the distance you've travelled, duration and calories burnt. It would be absolutely perfect if it was able to work in the background and had a small icon up the top with the number of steps per day!

Good app. Worked well. Good simple interface. Good app.

Useful and easy to use. Great app, simple to use and really useful data. I got caught out with the 3000 step limit on the free version but didn't hesitate to buy the full version

Good. Works well

Not as good as I thought it would be. I had my phone down my bra and it only recorded ⅓ of what I did. Not very good if you have to have it in your hand. Also I looked at it and quite a few times it had stopped. Not sure why.

Mr. Very useful and easy to use. Surprisingly accurate.

Footsteps. Easy to use and understand.

Great App. Does just what I want and it's easy to use.

Use it everyday - awesome app. Love it, use it all the time to monitor my exercises. Helped me improve my walking and running.

Now my long walks have become meaningful :). Fantastic app!

Auto-pause annoying. This app would be absolutely great but the auto pause constantly comes on and stops the app. This happens nearly every time I use this app. It would be great if there was a a way I could remove the auto pause or if the app could be fixed.

It works!. When it works it works well! I wouldn't rely on it if I was on a serious walking program though, but does the job for me even when it has days off!!

Gone Bonkers. Footsteps, normally so reliable, has lost its sense of proportion: I walked about 5km only to find Footsteps is reporting 56km John Carroll

Awesome. Not too fond of the new update though.

Long term user. Great app, been using it just on 12 months and travelled over 4 million steps. I like the manual step length input as this helps adjust the accuracy (compared with other apps). My only suggestion would be to have a GPS mapping function so you can compare and map the different routes taken.

Good easy app. I like how easy and straightforward this app is to use.

Latest update doesn’t work. The latest update doesn’t work. The details are ridiculously inaccurate.

No good. Randomly decides not to auto start, you lose whole days of steps😕

Footsteps pedometer. Simple, easy to use and understand :)

Helpful app. This app is a good and easy way to keep a record of your exercise regime

Easy to use!. I have tried other pedometres and this is by far the most user-friendly. I love the daily-weekly-monthly records. The interface is attractive and easy to read.

Footstreps stopping. Intermittently stopping time and count since last update

Great app. Great app! Easy to use and very accurate

Battery usage. Astronomical battery usage on the iphone7 and current iOS. Normally get 2 days on a charge. With this app running 70% battery was gone in about 6 hours. It works but the battery usage is just ridiculous. Sorry I wasted money on it.

Simplistically Lovely. This app is really good and so useful. It automatically graphs your steps, speed, calories burned, distance and duration. When you stop moving, it stops recording. You can set it on automatic, walk or run. It's all very simple and actually incredibly accurate. It motivates me more to exercise because I can see how far I've come thanks to the graphs, and it helps me to manage what I eat because I can see how many calories I'm burning. However to get the best results, you'll need to put it in your pants pocket and make sure it doesn't move around a lot in your pocket otherwise it'll miscount your steps. It's very sensitive, but absolutely wonderful, I definitely recommend buying the full version. The unpaid version doesn't go over 3000 steps :/

Best Pedometer App on iTunes. I have tried most of the pedometer apps and they have all come up very short. Footsteps answers all of my needs, is very accurate and best of all works in the background with it's own sleep process. Well done! A great app.

Easy for this grandma. Easy to install and operate. No fuss. Fairly accurate and doesn’t cost anything. Much cheaper than a Fitbit or apple watch! Setup to use only when active and doesn’t use battery!

Pause Settings. One of the problems with this app is every time it is updated it gets worse. The current version keeps going into auto pause despite my taking it off auto pause.

Footsteps. I have been using this app for 2 months and all things are great but the kilometre measure is inaccurate for the distance I walk . Unable to work out how to fix this ... Otherwise easy as to use....

Very easy to use. I tried many others but find this the best one of the lot.

Pedometer. Really easy to use, everything on the one screen. Tried others, this is the one to go for.✨

Terrific. I absolutely love this app. I'm trying to lose weight, so this app is a godsend.

Michael. This app can be unreliable and can stop and start for no apparent reason!

Absolute Rubbish. I have 2 similar apps. This one and Moves. At the end of the day, this one shows less than 1,000 steps and Moves shows many 000's.

This version work very well. I have been using Footsteps for several years. This version appears more accurate and it keeps working if you are using several apps at the same time.

Easy to use & very handy. Simple design and easy to use. Very handy for counting steps when you are trying to lose weight.

Loses data. Any time you change a setting it deletes all of your data. Makes the app useless. Much better free apps like pacer

Accuracy. I’m just not convinced of the accuracy of the pedometer. I think I was hoping for an accurate distance travelled rather than depend on male distance ratio formula.

Top App. Very easy to use.

Excellent. This is by far the most acurate and detailed pedometer I have come across on the app store. Really like how you can calibrate to your walking speed exactly and it tells you how fast your going and your average speed as well as calories burned

Very good. Accurate, once properly calibrated.

Almost perfect if allowed background running. I love this app. Far better than all other similar apps I've used. Although it's a shame that it doesn't work in background. Otherwise it would be perfect.

SN73. Love the simplicity of using this app. I'm glad I chose this over so many of the others

Stepper. Great program, easy to use

Dissapointed. Disappointed as I am getting complete different reading with the same walk that I do every day?

Good app.. Good app. Does what it is supposed to do and easy to use.

It works great!. Counts the steps, time and distance. Great for what I need.....

Need an update to fix auto-pause bug!. Before the latest update, I thought this app was one of my greatest purchases ever! Now, as soon as I lock my phone, the counter stops running and it doesn't track my steps. I should note that this was NOT an issue before I updated. I can't just carry my phone in my purse without auto lock or turn off auto lock.. Please fix this issue!!!!!

I'm very impressed.. Everytime I pulled it out of my pocket and checked if the steps were the same as I was counting, it was dead on. I am very impressed! Highly recommend.

Best Aap. Incredibly accurate!

Great and easy to use. So easy to operate.

Best App Tried. We have tried out a few Apps and this was the most complete and easiest to use. Liked the free one so much that I actually bought the full version. Well worth it!

Cira. This is simply the best pedometer on the market.

A recommend to all A1+. Everything I need in one spot

Footsteps. NEW VERSION 5 ***** LOVE IT - WORKS VERY WELL:)

Footsteps App. App works great, anyone that says otherwise just isn't using it properly!

Not good. Don't bother with app. I was out for 1.20 hours and when I checked the app when I got home it said I walked for 29 min. I might be expecting to much for 99 cents but it would be nice to at least work. I'm just gonna wait for a update and see if they can make this app work better then I would write a better review

Nice layout, but poor performance. Does not accurately monitor time, or other factors.

Where the Hell is the Price. I can't see anyone downloading this without knowing the price. So what the hell is the price for this previously free app?

Not bad. Could be better, doesn't start first time I turn on my phone in the morning, I shake my phone a couple of times with some result . Also it should save my previous days steps for the next morning , when I open the app. I can check it on a graf. Kind of pain.

Footsteps review. Footsteps is a very reliable program, doesn't cut out on you and has graphs and very good history of your steps. Would recommend this to everyone.

👍. I love this app!! It tracks everything I need. My friends now have it. Best one out there! A bonus would be if it had miles as well.

Footsteps App. Every three or four days this app pauses on its own and doesn’t register all my steps. It is set for auto pause. I check it frequently and it looks like it is working but quits. The health app is always working and registers way more steps. Not happy with this app.

Really decent. I picked up the Footsteps Pedometer while I was working with Canada Post and it was a really good way to gauge how much distance I was covering in a day. You just open the app and walk. Now, I walk for my health and the app has all the resources I need to stay on top of walks and runs over time. The app doesn't quit anymore when you get a text, either. You can also adjust your gait and play music through the app. I picked up the paid version so I wouldn't have to put up with ads for Clash of Clans while I looked at my charts.

Easy to use & reasonably accurate. This is a great little app. The only drawback is that occasionally it doesn't show number of steps recorded, which is a bit frustrating. (For the doubters, it HAS recorded all steps, it just takes a minute or two for the screen display to update.) This seems to happen when my iPod has gone to sleep.

Great!. What an easy way to keep track of everything!

Pedometer. This is a great pedometer. The features on it are put together very well. I would recommend it to anyone.

My walks. Love it. I use it almost every day since buying it . I have told and showed them all about foot steps . Makes me walk more often and gives me a goal!!

Footsteps. Post in App Store doesn’t say how much it costs -???

Fun to track walk. I got this app to monitor how far I walked each day. The difficult part is setting your pace correctly. It is too bad that you can't also get a map.

Has great potential. I really want to love this app. It has all of the features I need for my walking workouts. Unfortunately, not all of the settings can be saved. For instance, I have to set my step length every time I use the app. It does not save the setting. Very disappointing for an otherwise great app. I've tried contacting the developer through feedback but there has been no reply.

It works !. It works even if not open But you have to click 'more', 'sessions' & choose 'daily' or 'manual + daily' & open it in am just once It would be great if there was a "verbal" alert to indicate us when we reached a certain amount of steps &/or calories If not verbal, at least a bell alert Great job !

App works.. This app is fine. It works just as advertised.. But I don't think it should be worth .99cents...

The best pedometer app for daily use!. Accurate, doesn't drain battery, and I like that you can have the automatic daily step counting on and at the same time start a manual session to track distance on a walk or run-no other app that I've found has that. You can set it to show what percentage of your steps were walking vs. running. I like that you don't need to set up an account or have location services on for the app to work (I don't need GPS tracking on my daily walking, thanks.) Also, if the distance isn't accurate you can fix it by going to settings and adjusting your stride length. The one improvement I'd like to see is a badge showing the number of steps right on the home screen. Otherwise, it's perfect!

Burns Battery very fast. Greetings: This App is very good, it works perfectly. But when I do a session for about 1 hour, the app burns battery power very fast. Also the App will not count my steps if I dim the screen, or put my Ipod Touch in sleep mode. Other than that the App is worth the 99cents. Regards Robert

Footsteps. Great app for steps, distance, and the time it takes. Pauses when idle, starts up when you do!!

Stepping with confidence. I tried the free version, but it was clear i would count passed 3000 steps. So i gladly paid for this full version and use it every day for my 15km walk days!

Love this app but.... This is the perfect app for me! It works immaculately and doesn't let me cheat which is also great. Unfortunately I have one little hate for this app, only that it's extremely difficult to save a workout on this app and o usually lose them. Before the update it said save&reset when you wanted to reset it and it no longer does that so I don't know what's wrong with this or if it's me being me. A cycling feature would be great on another app or in a future update. Keep up the fantastic work!

Megawatt. Perfect. I walk when I can and this app allows me to track my distance etc. Perfect

Needs some tweeking. I use this app daily for my walking or running. It works pretty good. The downside is if you receive a TM or phone call it stops logging your steps. If you don't notice that you received a TM it is very frustrating. If they fix this bug it would be my favorite app on my phone.

Lindsey. Not accurate at all and shuts off all the time if you don’t keep an eye on it very dissatisfied

Excellent. Easy to use with in depth history, graphs, auto pause, lock screen, etc. one of the best pedometer.

Good work!. Its a good app, however in auto mode it does not differentiate very well between walk/run. Suggestion: make the slider bigger/longer to allow for finer adjustment. Adding a scale to the slider would also help.

Doesn't work. As advertised the app continues to work when it's not open. It doesn't do that for me making it useless and a waste of 99cents

dwrvwhite77. Just a great little simple step counter that gives just the basics but has lots of adjustments in behind to get accurate data for anyone ➕➕➕➕➕

Footsteps. Very good app and very accurate.

Love this app!. The only thing us I wish it could track my steps without the app having to be open all the time. If you get a phone call while walking, it doesn't record your steps while you talk. You can, however, listen to music in your iPod while the app records how far you've walked. All In all, I love it. Footsteps has been really helpful thus far in losing weight. :)

this is a very useful application for the whole family. thanks to this application that I can check the progress of my health, which can capture my activities in two ways the user manual and automatic daily sessions. this is a very useful application for the whole family

Works as advertised. Have been using it for a while and it works great. Very accurate, simple and well designed. It is great that you can create your own playlist inside the app. Recommended

It's okay. I like the app when it's working but it has a tendency to skip days. For instance it is 430am and yet my screen still thinks it's yesterday. If I want to be accurate I have to reset each day so I don't get to keep a history. It does stay working well in the background so they have fixed that problem.

You almost got a five. I love this app. It keeps a good history and it usually works perfectly. There's one major flaw and I don't know how to report it. It will go for days automatically resetting every morning for me without my having to touch it. Then for no reason it will stop. I can't find any instructions about why it keeps stopping. I'll get halfway through my day and look at it and realize it had stopped again that morning. Fix that it would be absolutely perfect.

Wish it wouldn't stop counting when notifications pop up. It is very accurate, although it would be much better if it didn't stop counting when a notification pops up on the phone. I've missed out on several thousand steps because of that when my phone is on silent at work :(

Perfect for older iPhone. I wanted a pedometer app for my iPhone 3GS running iOS 6.1. Other pedometer apps stop counting steps when a call or message comes in or when you want to run another app in the foreground. Terrible! But not this one. Everything works great as you'd expect it to. Yay!

Changing rating. Earlier this week I wrote a review about the app not workin. Yesterday an update was released and the app works again. Thank you for listening!! Great app and my absolute favorite for Walking!!

Just what I needed. I ordered on the recommendation of a close friend. It was everything they said it would be. Have logged just under 500 walking miles since my purchase and I love being able to have an accurate record of my workouts. Great product.

Pretty good. I like this app so far. I've tested it several times and it is accurate (not more than a step off count). I had no problem running iTunes in the background on the touch. Reserved 5 star rating for after using it a little more in the near future.

Good but could be better. I love the app and its ease of use. My only wish is that it automatically started. I forget to start sometimes and miss steps. Is there an automatic feature that stays on even when you don't manually turn it on? That would make it great.

It works!. It's pretty accurate and being able to listen to my music while the app is running is a plus. Con: iPod touch users need to leave their iPod on while the app is running and not have it on sleep mode or else it will not count the steps.

Freezes, doesn't save walks.. Did not give me the option to save my first two walks. Screen flickers one and off when you're trying to read/set it. Very poor judge of distance, regardless of what stride length you set. Recorded the same walk as two different distances; recorded another mile walk as barely 1/2 mile. Sorry I didn't try the free version first.

Use it every day. Simple to use and to the point. My hips move slot when I walk so most pedomiters double count my steps. This app. Gives at least acutate step counts if not speed.

Love, love this App!!. I love this app. I have to exercise everyday in order to stay as healthy as possible going through the lung transplant program at Duke. This is great to keep up with my steps and keeping my time recorded. This is Good for the walker, runner and the stepper, I give it 5 Stars!

Good stuff. I like the application and use it often the one thing I would like to change instead of chimes I would like to have a voice and have the ability to make it louder or softer and change the voice I'd like to be able to hear you have walked 2.5 miles and the time and the steps etc. etc.

Happy with it. I've tried this app on my two mile walk and it was pretty accurate, the distance was only 20 feet off which is a really small error. Didn't experience any crashes and I was listening to the music during the walk. Charts look promising. I'll try it more during the weekend but so far so good. I recommend it.

You cannot ask for anything better. Simple to use. User friendly, reasonable cost, summarized steps, convenient above all it works. High kudos to designers. You cannot rate what you have not tried so try it!

Great app. Interface is very professional looking and is intuitive to use. As long as it is in my pocket - rather than my belt clip - it counts steps fine. I am more likely to walk when I can keep count of the length and now I always have a pedometer with me

Nice & Easy. I like this app for a simple reason: you can use it as simply or as complex as you desire. I need to walk because of a disability, but I'll never run a marathon. Yet, the app is so flexible that it can be used either way. For me, I get my steps, distance & time. That's just what the doctor ordered. Try it, you'll like it!

Love This App. This is the first time I have used a pedometer - I thought they were too complicated. Well, this app is quite easy to use. I did have to read the manual and FAQ's but that was simple enough. I like the features, the history and the ability to lock it while I am walking.

Great app!!!. Reliable for walking or running. If you need a pedometer, download it and you will have a good pedometer for cheap!! You can also create a playlist from your music library to accommodate your run or walk.

Best app for iPhone tracking. I do not need to compete against other, just need to monitor my daily distance and this is far and away the best app running in the background to do exactly as it says, track footsteps. This hands down the best app for its intended purpose.

Needs update. This app needs some fine tuning. I cannot manually save my "trips" at all, so I can only follow my progress through the manual view. Frustrating. The music feature needs some work. I could not get mine to just import certain songs, instead I had to opt for my entire iPod list which left me changing songs a lot. & lastly, I just upgraded my phone & none of my history saved of transferred to my new phone. We are talking over 2 years of history, gone. Please update this SOON!

I LOVE THIS APPLICATION. This is the first application I paid for since buying my iPhone back in August. It is straightforward, super easy to use and accurate. I just pop it in my waist band of my waist snipper or bra and walk. It has a cool ticker to keep you on pace and keeps history to keep you motivated. I haven't even tried to use the music and other features, but will in the future. If you are iPhone challenged like me, this is the one for you. :)

Very Useful. I have been using this app for over a year. It gives a pretty accurate measure of distance and speed when compared to the high end treadmills. It is great to use for walks inside malls where GPS apps struggle. I also like the alarm that can be set to chime at each mile. Listening to iTunes through the app is great too. The app stores each walk.

Lost steps. In general, I like this app. However, today when I started it up late in the day, I wasissing over 6000 steps. The numbers physically dropped by that amount. It wasn't just missed steps by the app. I didn't have any kind of iPhone glitch, so i don't know why it dropped so many steps. Fortunately, i had just checked my count before the glitch, so i know how many steps were lost So beware and always know your approximate count so you can add to it if you are keeping track on your own.

GREAT! But how 'bout monthly totals?. I have no complaints. This is a solid app. Unlike many apps, this one works as advertised. It would be nice if I could view totals for each month; distance, avg speed, steps, calories burned. Maybe even on a line graph?

like this app. I like this app. I use it on an iPod Touch. It seems to be most accurate on distance walked but not necessarily on steps taken. I can walk the same distance two days in a row and the distance walked doesn't change but I will have a different number of steps each day (maybe that is correct, but I don't feel that my stride changed). If I put my iPod in a phone case on my hip, the steps walked both days match more closely than the days when I drop the iPod in my pocket.

Love this app...when it works :(. I have yet to figure out why it sometimes doesn't start fresh each day - so i've walked all day long at school, but at 4 o'clock its been tracking for only the past 15 minutes? Besides THAT, it seems to track well when its on & calorie calculations are much more accurate than the other pedometer's I've used. And tracking the speed is pretty cool too. I also wish it could share w/ other apps - perhaps that could be next??!! Please!

Love Footsteps!!. I absolutely LOVE this app!!! Each day, I keep pushing myself to walk further than the day before; by the end of the work week I find myself walking OVER 12 miles. In the 3 weeks since I've downloaded the app, I've lost 4 pounds

POWERFUL!!!. The best pedometer for the money you can buy. Gives me a lot of information that keeps me on track for my workouts. I did not want to buy a bracelet pedometer, to me they have a kiddie or girly look. A good store pedometer starts around $35 and goes up to just over $100. I also did not know if I would lose interest in a walking routine. So, how far wrong can you go on this $2 investment?

Great App for walking. Love th fact u can make your own music playlist to walk to! Just wish it would not stop when a text comes thru. I can understand when a call comes in but those asside thois is a VERY ACCURATE APP to walk too. Just have to fine tune the gauge to set it for walking. Once it is set right it is spot on.

I Like It!. This app does just what it says. You can listen to your earphones but not the speaker. If you take a call, it will pause the app. I uesd for 3 days for about 2 hours each day, it only used about 20% of the battery each day, while listening to music. GPS would be better but it would really drain the battery. Not sure about backing up the history data...Only wish you could walk and talk on the phone at the same time. Otherwise, good job!

I recommend this app. Using this app has helped me stay true to my New Year's resolution & I lost 40 pounds, too. I dedicated myself to walking 2 miles every day with my dog & have found different routes & places to walk. The secret is to have your phone or mobile device in a place that will feel the "jolts" or movement of your body. So, strap your phone to your arm or have it in an EMPTY pocket ( I use my back pocket) and let the footsteps add up. Great for counting how many calories you've burned or how many steps you've taken.

Simply wonderful. I love this application. It allows me to beat my activity from the day before or the month before. It has helped me to shave off a few unwanted pounds that my 30 min walk per day just wasn't doing before I started using this application. I do wish I could talk and receive text and it would continue counting. Also wish it had a weight component. However, it ha been wonderful thus far.

Cool app, no problems. I've been using this pedometer for over a month now. It works as advertised, keeps separate counts for walking and running, which is great. The graphs are very helpful. Good job, thank you

Steps great. I've been using this for a couple of years now, does a great job at a basic pedometer for walks, and the improvements they've made to it for being able to switch the screen and do something else and then come back while it's been counting steps in the background is great. Love it.

Perfect for Me. Love the simplicity of this app. The display characters are large, easy to read, and not cluttered by a bunch of useless graphics. Once you accurately determine the length of your pace, it is accurate and very easy to use. If you want an app with just the basics, this one hits the mark.

Great!. Great app. Gives fairly accurate steps, not sure about calories or distance. Definitely better than other apps I've tried to use without wifi (I'm using IPod touch so no internal GPS). Well worth the money if you just want a basic reference to mileage and calories burned.

Better than the average. It records calories burned differently if you carry your phone in your hand versus in your pocket. I asked for the creators to explain this difference but they never answered my email question. Despite this problem I still think the program is better and the average. I'm still giving it a mostly positive review.

Does what it says!. I love this app & use it all the time! The auto pause is awesome, no worry & easy to use! What app out there is atomic clock accurate?! I have no less than 4 apps for walking & no two agree on the outcome of my walk!

LUV IT. I absolutely love this app! I wanted to see how much I walk in a day at work (3 miles or more a day)! There is only one downer about this app, it locks but doesn't go into a power saver mode which drains my battery! But it was worth the $.99 I paid for it on sale!

Very good app. I have been using it for some time and I am very pleased with it. I must say, I was reading all those bad reviews and I started with another pedometer rated much higher but was not happy with it so I gave this one a try. All the features work like advertised, the readings are accurate. I recommend this app to everyone looking for a good non gps pedometer.

Useful. This is a decent app. I use it to monitor my walks and runs and it works great. I'm usually out for 2-3 hours and found this app to be very accurate. On iPhones it's also pretty gentle on the batteries. I usually run Footsteps, turn on the music and put my iPhone in the pocket or a case so the screen turns off. It's well designed and easy to use. Well worth its price. Thank you

Need better instructions. After trying two other pedometer apps, I find this one is much better for recording routine daily activity. It is simple to use once you realize your phone cannot be in sleep mode. I hope they make this clear, because I almost got rid of it, until I finally figured it out.

Questionable Purchase. I like the concept. Tracking my steps, calories and miles was great when it was free, it actually motivated me, however once I purchased the app, it no longer worked like it did when it was free. I'm thinking it's on and it's not Before it automatically did what it does. Now I have to check to see if it's tracking and usually I don't realized until half the day is gone.

Footsteps - Pedometer. Works really well most times. All features seem to work fine. I have had a problem with it not waking up and recording walking and I had the screen lock on. It is possible that I pushed the phone sleep button after I hit the lock screen on the app. I will have to be careful not to do that.

Best one out of the few for me.. I like the high contrast color option that is new, but wish font size was larger. This appgives you both steps made and how many miles traveled on one display, just wish it ran in the background whilde looking at a map.
