Clear, concise, and completely comprehensive. I have been using yahoo finance as one of my trading evaluation tools for over 15 years. What I respect and enjoy about the site is it’s simplicity and ability for me to list and segment my various portfolios. The design and development team appears to be very active as they have updates and have incorporated several new, valuable features this year. I know there are several much more sophisticated and advanced platforms to choose from. However, any successful investor not only has a trading plan, but executes with as much simplicity and clarity as possible, yahoo finance provides that structure and outline.

Yahoo Finance App Review. As far as the mechanics of the app, it works great. It keeps up fairly well with the current stock prices. It is easy to add, edit, or delete stock symbols from your watch list. There is also a little chart that provides the price direction of the stock although sometimes it is a little behind. The news section falls short of expectations though. It does provide links to articles to read but some are from other news sources that you have to subscribe to in order to read them. The Yahoo Finance articles have a definite leftist liberal bias and really don’t belong on a business app. Whoever the editor is, needs to be schooled on what is relevant business news and what is just a hit piece against the other side. The news articles also come too late to know what is going on if the market is making a big move. So I suggest that you spend less time promoting your political agenda and more time reporting what is currently going on in the market, like real business news, so traders can actually stay informed with information that affects their investments. You also should have a remark section on your articles so readers can give you feedback.

Needs improvement. News blips that get posted on the lock screen very rarely go to a news story when I open my iPhone by sliding the notification. This is a serious failure in the app implementation. Moreover when I go to the news feed list, the notified headline is rarely on the list. I think many of the news stories are useful but the navigation has severe flaws that could be easily fixed. Get the geek squad busy Yahoo! ********* Later: I’m using the app a lot to look at stocks and options information. I really wish it supported landscape mode for iPhone cuz it would be easier to scrutinize the spreadsheets for options prices. ******** Later: UI improved. The data feed can be flaky eg Details view sometimes doesn’t get the options information and the options link is not displayed. I would like to see an auto update for the options data. It doesn’t appear to be implemented at this time. Later…. Still quite buggy. Useful info and such.

Yahoo Finance Bias. Your biased coverage of Tesla/Musk is beyond frustrating. I’m all for fact based arguments on both sides, but your negative flippant mocking angle is clearly one-sided and has been for a while. Over time your analysts are proven wrong, yet nothing changes. I’m doing everything I can to find a replacement app. When we find out 5-10 years from now that Yahoo Finance had a vested interest in Tesla’s failure, it will not surprise any of us who had the ability to sniff out your constant BS. There should be accountability, not to mention greater time allotted for those with a track record of accurate analysis, instead of opinion-only pieces from babbling heads with only a superficial knowledge of the subject matter.

Yahoo Web Site Review. Have been using this website for several years. Very good source of stock research info. I do like to skim read the latest posts for current info about a stock. Also helps measure investor sentiment for a specific stock . I do find though that the post tab can be frozen for several hours at a time. I also use the news tab to see what is causing a big move in a stock. There can be a significant lag though. An example today is that all uranium stocks jumped on news the the government wants to stop buying uranium from Russia. That news is not yet available.

The app has bugs in Conversation forums…. The app has bugs with the Conversations forums. When I try to post anything in the app, it tells me to “Sign Up to Post”. When I click the button, I get spinning circular bars that never go away and soft freeze the app. I can get away from it by hitting another navigation tab below, but if I click back to “Home”, it will come right back to the infinite spinning circular bars, but will lock me into this frame, never to escape again, until I force close the app. This happens even if I’m connected to Wi-Fi on my phone and sitting next to the router. It happens, as well, when I’m not using Wi-Fi and have full or any amount of bars of reception. Because of this glitch, I can’t contribute or participate in any discussions on Yahoo Finance conversation forums, only lurk. This happens every time that I attempt to post, so this problem is not intermittent. Please fix this bug!

Yahoo finance ap. This would be a good ap if it was not so heavily politicized. There is constant pandering of left wing ideas or political opinions that are not financially related. There are numerous negative article written about Trump which are opinions and negative information about him which are biased and often not accurate and have very little to do with the economy or finance. The ap also publishes a lot of slanted, negative articles against the market when it is moving positive. Yahoo finance writers need to be more balanced. You’ ve seemed to only hire left wing democrats. Both sides would be more balanced and objective. Actually, little or no politics would be better. Little or no bit coin crap would be better also or a way to deselect topics of little interest. Bit coins are illegal money laundrying of money pathways

Best source for finance news. My finance teacher circa 2016 (the year I laughed at my barber telling me to buy Eth for .99) told me I should get a watchlist started on yahoo finance. Boy do I wish I believed in my convictions of that watchlist. From Snapchat to Chegg and many others I knew from watching people around me must have some value greater than 2-10 bucks a share and laughable market cap by today’s PE giants. The team is as unbiased a news source as I’ve seen. They talk real metics of valuation and the guest list is phenomenal because they put the time in to ask these folks to come chat. Way better than any of the eternally biased other big name networks.

Hám_RÀ. Yahoo finance app is been for me the most trusted app which has proven its worth and integrity even when there was no hope for me that anything was Left there to keep and accountable lists of my stocks and commodities yahoo finance and CNBC are most trustworthy charts and panels that have a micro forensic capacities for multi way of keeping economical and sustainable indicators for investors or capitalism industrial complex management and production for journalists and investors. The title which I have given for the review has codified meaning including but not limited to as what I intend to progressing management of technology industry with fintech company and and institutional halal Áhmar insurance community commercial service development and marketing an architectural mansions that as wonders of ancient wonders of land marks and modern architecture are compact structures ingenuity integrated into a hybrid architectures that have a bigger purpose that what the current living generation could comprehend of the whole and the bigger picture.

Love it. Really. Still want to tell you more of course…. Just a couple tweaks would make this truly great On the App: A. Under Statistics include historical numbers like on the website B. Should have same features as website across the board. On Both app and website A. To make it WAY more useful. Please allow someone to just enter numbers under “holdings” ANY way they want You really limit the usefulness insisting it be entered so it looks exactly like a holding you have I’m sure EVERYONE would like to be able to just put in a cost basis and share number without dates or other details B. Allow searches or a detailed filter for types of patterns you provide alerts on, like there is a filter for bearish or bullish. B1. Allow alerts for patterns, high or low volume (above 1, 1.5, 2 or below etc) no matter what company or security they happen in Makes looking into you’re own companies easier AND seeing perhaps related companies when an event occurs where a change may be relevant to you Or just tells you where you might need to look. C. No reason not to have technical analysis events on indexes and funds. There’s no more liability. If I’m missing something then put in a disclaimer. So please include technical analysis on all indexes and funds

Yahoo finance?. Yahoo Finance, I don’t know runs this division of Yahoo. Your all awesome at Yahoo Finance! All divisions of Yahoo as well. Excellent web site! Easy to navigate. I like the immediate news and subject editing. Serious well documented writing and editing about global facts and subject matter on most corporations domestic and international. Complex subjects are broken down for readers like me to get the big picture. Thanks for your response. Thanks Truth is a difficult commodity these day, not at Yahoo Finance! I’m not a good reader. I rarely give reviews in corporate review requests. I always give reviews for service like tradesman, troubleshooter phone techs, billing specialists helping bogus charges on an account. Thrush is. Over the years when I’m looking for a simple stock quote? Yahoo Finance keeps my interest until I’ve run out of time to continue reading. Not just about the stock quote I looked up but about that company and it’s about fact after fact, story after story. Best is Yahoo Finance stories are fact filled, easy to understand and lead to opportunities. Thanks again to Yahoo Finance, a team of teachers, Mule

Decent, Could Be Better. I generally enjoy using Finance. I love its design and the content, but the functionality is just overbearingly poor at times. One can only love an app so much until its practicability becomes detrimental to the user. Among the app’s abilities is the quintessential feature of portfolio tracking. There are two ways to begin tracking your portfolio, either manually or by linking your brokerage. At first thought — I had found a panacea — an app that could solve my task of portfolio tracking along with decent news. The only problem that I have with their portfolio tracking, through the linked brokerage, is that my portfolio is inaccurately represented. The money in my account is noticeably off balance and fails to display my actual balance. The point of a portfolio is to track your assets, which this app fails to do accurately. That is my only complaint regarding the app and I hope my commentary is useful to interested users. 4/5. Decent app.

Yahoo Finance. Im a reasonably big fan of Yahoo Finance. It’s a pretty good source of information. But it’s a little lacking in instructions on how to use it. But I’ve muddled my way through. l’m probably like most people, I’ve learned to navigate along the way and make it work for me. But when the format changes, for no apparent reason (from my perspective), I become less efficient in accomplishing what I want to see and do and then it’s back to the learning curve (again with a lack of instructions or a guide). This causes me frustration-like most of us, I’m a creature of habit and as I get older, I don’t do change as well as when I was younger. While I struggle with change that “makes it better”, I don’t like different, especially if it’s only different but not better. Different is not necessarily better. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Stop messing with it because you can. Familiarity is comfortable, change/different but not better is stressful and uncomfortable.

Used to be my favorite finance app, but now…. Yahoo used to have one good property — their finance app. It provided a clear, objective curation of business headlines and a set of simple tools to track your portfolio. Lately it has become as much of a Biden administration mouthpiece as CNN. Clearly biased headlines and curation limit the breadth of data provided. As an example, I receive a grand total of zero - zero - notifications from Yahoo of the administration’s crisis in Afghanistan on the day it went down. I had to rely on other news sources for those headlines. The woke editors at Yahoo can suppress the truth all they wish to, but the fourth estate shouldn’t be based on political bias in any form. I do not want Yahoo to be liberal or conservative. I want the men and women who pretend they are journalists to provide me with a clear, fair, and objective curation of the news that is likely to shape my portfolio.

Long time power user, good app, improvement needed!. I am a long time power user. It is a good app to monitor stocks, create watchlists and portfolios. However there is no sell feature so you need to delete positions if you are selling your positions which is not practical or useful. If you could also add your sells than it would report your p&l better. Furthermore the app is currently very buggy. The portfolio list randomly scrambles even though you sort it based on p&l, amount or alphabetical which makes it difficult to view and list your positions in a meaningful way. Furthermore the news section is full of news from companies trying to upsell expensive subscriptions with appealing headlines but low quality content. Premium version is generally useful but hard to navigate and make full use of its features.

The best finance app ever. 1 suggestion/request. I just love yahoo finance. It is the best finance app, which is the know fact. I love it, use it, rely on it, read news from it, have my own portfolio on it. But I have one request. Please, I would live if you could make the graph more easily workable. Now when i click on the graph to check the prices of the stock in last couple days or week. It opens up a new page and then it is not very handy. Difficult to operate. This is the only part that I love of the ios Stocks app. Their graphs are very very handy and easy to work with. If at yahoo finance you could do the same, that would be just amazing and i will not have to go back to the ios stocks app for it. Currently i use the ios stocks app to move and see the rates of the stock on the graph, for everything else I use yahoo finance. Hoping you guys read the request and work it. I still gave 5 stars as i love yahoo finance, it is really really good with all the info and details. Just if you can fix this part, it will be a slam dunk.

Watchlist keeps getting erased or reset to capitalization vs todays change. After four months I’m about to drop this Watch List frustration. I have re-entered my entire Watch List twice only to have them blown away a month or so later! Now the list is not showing price but valuation of the company, totally useless and No tools to set and lock in preferences. They need to understand the customer experience is wayyyy beyond what Yahoo Finance unstable Watch slits feature has delivered and allow RECOVERY, and lock in so No changes get made without a Pin. Pretty simple, if the developers actually used it themselves they might understand our expectations. Go use Fidelity or anyone else.

Old finance app better on iPad. Must retract my comment below, after version upgrade functionality returned! Thank you Could customize to what I want to see. The Home Screen permitted me to list across the top, overall market status to include futures ahead of the open, this is exceeding helpful. The other feature was the holdings summary to show full value of investments being tracked. What I do not understand is I have these features on my iPhone app but less functionality on my iPad and less data displayed on a larger screen ? Yahoo has been great and I’ve used it for many years, yet yahoo and other financial services apps are providing less capabilities and calling it an improvement ? It’s not, IMO.

Very helpful. Yahoo Finance helps me track simple and complex purchases, trades and portfolios with real-time updates. I like the extensive charting tools and analyst reviews. I also like the news associated with each security being listed below the profile. They need to fix the bug in the chart comparisons: when you compare multiple stocks in a single chart and change the time period (1M, YTD, etc) the compared stocks do not show the latest trade price while the referenced stock does. This renders the comparison worthless because it is not a fair comparison. Beyond that, I wish I could move the data from one portfolio into another without having to manually re-enter. I like the phone app’s display of pre- and post-market percentage changes while in list view. It would be great be able to see charts of the prices in these sessions. Over all, a very helpful tool!

Everyday I looking. I enjoy this App; watch it most time & it with Facebook same time ; thanks for this service. Look at everyday With virus going around be safe & God bless.i like it has conversations to read what others find out in there research I hope it true not false , God Bless again & Be safe to all in the world we really are all visiting here to embrace each other of all colors when u really think abut it we are on inside the same with red love or red blood & I believe our GoD Watching is all actions are words I sure he disappointed when we if we go to heaven doesn’t separate by race I sure that a tough subject love all in ur circle of life all visiting here don’t hate outside it much better, easier to show peace go live . It SAD to watch on TV show HATE in NY & others states .

Great app w some bugs. Great app. Please fix some obvious bugs. 1) calculated stock total value is different from the holdings view vs individual stock view, the individual stock view doesn’t calculate/track sold off stocks ( negative quantity), but rather ignores them as shorts. Totals are inconsistent, annoying. 2) when scrolling up the list, the bounce feature when list hits the top goes bizarre and jitters. It’s nauseating. Seems to happen when scrolling up slowly. Scrolling up fast works fine. It may be a refresh view related error of some sort. Doesn’t happen every time, but frequently. 3) Suggestion, not a bug. The new font is bad. Seems every thing is emboldened now, makes it difficult to read as the letters are less defined. 4) suggestion. Allow side swipe from a stock view to permit scrolling to next stock on the list. It’s more intuitive that side swiping is to see the next list item rather than more detailed info, like on dating apps. 5) suggestions. Make a dividend payout feature. Since you already have the purchase date and number of shares info. This should be a simple feature. And it increases user engagement to input their stock positions. 6) suggestions. Allow for users to exclude some stock lists from the total holdings info. I’d like to see what my total holdings positions is with and without including my retirement account positions, for example.

Awful LIST support!. The app supports adding your investment accounts so that you can view details on your stock (more info than what the broker app may support). In theory, this is great. BUT... You cannot rename the list. They use whatever random name Yahoo feels like using at the time. I've added, removed, and re-added my Robinhood and Fidelity accounts several times and got different, ugly, unwanted names, multiple times. Second, it randomly becomes disconnected from your brokerage accounts. Every time I open the app it needs me to "refresh" my Robinhood account, which means that I need to log in. Again. Every day. Other apps (such as Mint) don't do this. If they let you rename lists and fixed the Robinhood connection issue, this would be a 5-star app!

Horrible update!. I loved this app But after this last update, no more "grid" view on iPad when in landscape mode. I used to be able to see all of my holdings and see all of the price quotes in three grid rows. It was a wonderful thing and so helpful in monitoring my portfolio. Now after this update, it is pretty much useless for me, unless they fix these issues ASAP. Looks like many others are having the same problem. Please return the grid settings as before, or many will be deleting this app and looking for a better platform. *Updated Review* Thank you for correcting the grid view! I can once more use this app daily as my go to! Thank you for addressing the problem and listening to the many users that were affected. Five Stars!

Getting Better. Overall this app has gotten much more powerful with time, but is not quite at the place where I’d like it to be. First, while new features were added to make the app have all the content as its desktop counterpart, some small UI tweaks are needed to make the financials data and other in-depth sections easier to view on mobile devices because of the smaller screen and massive amount of information. And I would like to see a better news feed that incorporates a more varied amount of sources. Also, I’d like to see the font switched to the native iOS font as I think it is more appealing, and switch the advertisement system to have less intrusive banner ads instead of the way the ads are currently presented. Other than that, this app is an essential for keeping track of the market.

Lee experience Of the introduction to Yahoo finance. To start off I would say that I like the layout of yahoo finance. I like the easy to understand structure of the page. It’s clear concise, and I like how I can type in a product and most likely find the ticker symbol. The only thing I would improve about Yahoo finance is actually teaching the client like myself the basics of finance for exampleWhat does market cap actually mean and how can we benefit, how can I benefit offered increase in market cap. If there was a small section about the different terms and definitions it probably would make Yahoo finance the place to get all your information about finance.

Please go back. The last update has made the presentation very difficult to look at. Why the flashing with price updates? Totally unnecessary! The idea behind the color changes with price direction is understandable, but I’m not sure it’s an important feature here. Just because you can, doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. It’s much more useful to have the green and red color presentation of the last version than the monochromatic display where everything’s seems to blend into a screen of gobbledygook with flashing dim colors as prices update. It’s seem the only consideration was given to how dark mode work. I still hate dark mode. You should be able to make both light and dark mode work without sacrificing the other. 12/12 update Another update and we still have the horrible looking monochromatic display. Please bring back the previous looking colored view. Perhaps give users the option to keep it. This new looks is very difficult to look at. Everything blends together. The previous look was very easy to get a sense of things at a quick glance.

Absolutely useless.. Roughly a few weeks ago, this app started doubling and tripling my portfolio investments, at first making me think I was suddenly rich…and then, when I went into the app a few days later, it started showing only fractions of my investments, at first making me think the market crashed. Thanks for the emotional rollercoaster ride, Yahoo Finance. I’ve unlinked and relinked my accounts over and over. Deleted the app, reinstalled it a number of times. Still showing me random investment totals. Add to this frustration, they buried the most useful feature (set notifications based on target prices) and finding it now gives me a headache every time. This app used to be great. Now it’s useless, buggy garbage. Deleted from library and looking for an alternative that…you know…does what it’s supposed to do.

Investing. Pretty good app works pretty good could use a little tweaking giving more updates and more up-to-date news that’s happening now on companies instead of having to look somewhere else to get it otherwise you miss out on the news and what’s going on around the world US and can cost investors a whole Lotta money because they missed out on a small piece of information that you did not provide I wish you could just provide that little extra information instead of finding out secondhand the next day later thank you for your understanding

Yahoo finance. More information available and very intuitive than most .when using other sites I had to come back to Yahoo finance to get complete picture I would give five stars except so many times I click on a certain story when I get there I am asked to subscribe , even though the same story that needs subscription you can find it for free on another site. Public information should not require subscription. Very frustrating to click on story then it tells you you need to subscribe, I understand the reason behind it ,but if the story is public knowledge then it should be read without the annoying subscribe first ,if the story is exclusive to that site only then I understand someone need to subscribe. Most of the time it is not Yahoo but others who put the story on Yahoo then ask for subscription before finishing reading the news.

Good app but a few missing things. This app is great for information and researching stocks, and is much better than most brokerage apps for those things. It has good app design and is like a good mix between Robinhood’s ease of use and Fidelity’s information. The news stories in the app could be improved a lot though, I would suggest making it easier to find and go through on the news on the stock quotes screen, a good example of this is making it similar to the Apple stocks app where the news stories are just a swipe away. Another problem I have with the news stories are that the ads are the same color and font as the actual stories which is confusing at best and misleading at worst. Having a tint around the ad could go a long way to discerning them from the rest of the news stories and is a chance to make it color themed, purple for the light theme, and a lighter gray for the dark theme. Overall this is one of the best apps I’ve seen for finance, I hope you can get back to me and address my concerns, thanks!

Track sells?. I LOVE this app, there’s only one thing that’s missing or I can’t figure out - how do I add my SELLs in my lots? I can add my BUYs just fine but what about when I sell a stock? I tried adding a negative quantity but that tracks it as a SHORT and it does reduce my quantity of a stock in the overview. I could just modify my lot to match my current qty and avg price but I want to see the profits I made from my sells individually. Also would be cool to make it support Crypto a bit better - allow for more decimal spaces in the qty and price when entering a lot. Also add a field for fees and maybe a small “Note” field. Otherwise this is the best finance app out there, Yahoo’s saving grace these days.

New update with the side bar. I used to love this app very much. However, the latest update , the formate has changed. I tell you this change is like the new Coke, bring the previous formate. For example, if I have multiple portfolios built and I click on one of the them then on several of the portfolios, I won’t be able to go back to home unless I hit back several times. Additionally, the major indexes were always displayed on top, with the new format, once you click on a portfolio, the indexes are gone. I would have given this app 5 stars except for the new changes of format. It’s really an awesome app to track investment and it allows for multiple portfolios to built. Please bring back the old format.

Latest upgrade broke my list which won’t update. I updated today but it has ruined the app for me. Won’t load prices in real time, really laggy and constantly trying to reload. A huge pain. If I try to order by clicking on the percentage change I get blank entries for a long time. If the prices finally load the screen freezes and I can’t scroll through. Now news and analysis videos won’t play. Not sure if it is only a problem on iPads. Update 2/13: they released a patch for the iPad. Now the speed at which prices update is a bit better when you try to click to order by percentage change or whatever. However the prices don’t line up with the tickers. For example it listed Disney stock at 14 because that was the price of the ticker beside it in the ordering. There is some kind of offset in the cells that I don’t understand.

Garbage: doesn’t work. You can’t connect your brokerage account. It will not fully connect it or it will tell you it is unavailable all together. Sometimes it won’t even let you add your brokerage account. IF you do get it to connect it won’t last for more than 30 minutes if it ever fully connects at all. Then repeated customer service attempts will not fix anything. They’re unresponsive and nothing ever gets fixed. I’ve also tried using the price alert feature which also does not work. I have my notifications on and never have I seen a price alert notification yet when I open the app it will say a price alert was executed days before. What could I possibly use this app for that I cannot find on my actual brokerage app then? .. the answer is NOTHING. This app is pointless, never works, bugs, frozen, unresponsive customer service and the list goes on. I deleted this app for the 4th time. I don’t know why I keep giving this a chance but never again.

Love this app, but.... UPDATE 1/17: Looks like the Holdings section is back, so I once again give the app 5 stars. I really do love this app and would give it 5 stars, but all of a sudden my linked holdings account no longer appears at the top above my stock symbols list. I have closed the app. Rebooted my phone. Deleted and reinstalled the app then rebooted my phone and nothing works. This morning I opened the app saw my holdings were back, but before I could get excited, the holdings disappeared once again. Not sure what is going on but until my holdings are permanently showing on my screen once again the app is useless to me. If this can be fixed I would gladly give it 5 stars once again.

Bad Changes to Important Data. Thank you for the response. I’m happy you at least responded. But you said you “are trying to figure out how to incorporate price & %” Guess my question is why do you have to figure it out when you already had it on old version? You had it perfect & had it figured out; but changed it for the worse. Bottom line, I’m glad you responded & sincerely HOPE you actually DO take it seriously & change it back ASAP! I won’t use (and I know many others that feel the same) until it’s corrected. Thanks again & I hope you return the POINTS along with % soon. Thank you!! You changed the “points” the Dow, S&P, etc from the main page at the top. Only listing the % up or down & NOT the POINTS up or down. WHY would you take that away?? You made an update , but TOOK AWAY data!? Financial Professionals use Yahoo finance app to see certain data at a glance. You subtracted data!!! Does that make sense? Don’t let programmers change things that your audience wants & needs! Your app used to be better than CNBC, now it’s worse. I will only use CNBC app going forward unless you change and bring back the +/- points. In case you don’t realize what you changed, it used to show -10% AND -200 points. Now, only the %. Bring the points AND the % back.

Latest Yahoo Finance upgrade. The latest upgrade v9.3.0 (Feb 17) is very disappointing and does NOT provide any Adv over the previous version. Very confusing on what to press to return to the previous view resulting to extra keystrokes and aggravation. The BIGEST complaint is that the markets diary was removed from the detailed lists view, meaning you cannot monitor your watchlist at the same time as overall markets (indices, gold, oil, bonds, Bitcoin). Who is the idiot that approved this change. Please rollback to the previous version or allow users to access the old views. The SECOND biggest complaint is the quote view now eliminated the left pane allowing simultaneously single column view of your detailed watchlist w/ scrolling. This latest upgrade removed key features for power users wanting more info simultaneously. Very disappointing:-(

Major likes and a couple items To Do Better.. Hello: First and Foremost thanks for the great financial app. You are my home page for over a decade now, so that should tell you I kind of like you. we do need to discuss a couple things. The “news stories “ that are just subscription demands are a real downer. They are NOT demands from Yahoo, but from the authoring company of the story. You really do need to require those to disclose we will learn nothing more by clicking on the story. I cannot imagine anyone giving them money after such a mean trick, anyway. I realize these are not Yahoo’s ads, but it IS your site and you can require disclosure or cessation. I was going to say something about stock comments. But we have all pretty much got used to the rules and do not run afoul of the monitoring program very often. And as I am teaching young nephews about stocks, I thank you yet again for making the talk much more family oriented! Really when one thinks of all the content, the fact there is but one irritant says a LOT positive about Yahoo’s Financial Section! UPDATE: When a giant firm like Yahoo takes the time to read and respond to a review , that says they have not forgotten who creates their business ! It also earns that fifth star!

Used to be 5 star (before the recent versions broke things). I really liked this app and its features, but the recent versions broke a couple things, so I rated 3 stars (at best) right now. 1. The app used to total up my portfolio based on the share quantity and basis prices I have entered. But now all I get is a bunch of black/red/green dots where my portfolio total should be. I tried pull-down refreshes and app restarts, but no luck. I cannot get a portfolio total anymore, which was a key feature for me. 2. When I scroll down to read additional news headlines, the scroll pane jumps around every few seconds as I am reading the headlines. This is really annoying. Both these recent issues really impact the app’s usefulness, so now I can rarely stand using it.

Graph feature to view the price cycles of a given stock. I was enjoying to look at the stock performance graph that shows how the price changed Day to Day by sweeping my finger from past dates to present and watching the stock value change. This provides us the minimum to maximum values in a given period. But this feature disappeared and I cannot track the changes in values. Please reinstate that feature. That feature is invoked when I hold my iPhone at 90 degrees where the long sides are in the horizontal direction. That would be a big help to enjoy the viewing of a stock performance for a given period in a graph form. Thanks

Great Service. I am not a person who can see above what’s around the next stock, or my typing skills for that matter. We will not even get me started with my grammar for God sake. I have really enjoyed the information that has truly helped me with my stocks, some good some not so. I am not in the best place to give an opinion as to how much it has helped me individually, I’m not that good so what I can tell you is that without the service that I have received is spot on! I have never been so happy with the all the time, and service I have received. All I can say is this is this, if you have it keep it, if you don’t have it get it as soon as possible you won’t be sorry, and last but not least, everything on the bigger picture it will not let you down. “Sis C”

Recent updates have decreased functionality. I have used Yahoo Finance for over 5 years on my iPad for my Watchlist. Then I would rate it 4 to 5 stars consistently until the past month or so. For a Homepage, it should be a summary of the market indices and the Watchlist in spreadsheet form where I can quickly scan 30 to 40 stocks at a time which Yahoo Finance used to do. Then a week or so ago, the market indices would disappear when I would tap My Watchlist to see in spreadsheet form. Now I have the market indices, but my Watchlist is in a single column where I have to scroll down for 2 minutes to review some 200 stocks on my list. Before I could glance at the spreadsheet form and the blinking of the red and green tags of prices updating would give me some sense of how actively the stock is being traded. Then I could quickly tap on that stock for more detail. I cannot be constantly scrolling a single column list, and is nonsensical to get a feel of the market. Bring back the older interface. If you need to improve it, have the market indices row stay frozen while I can scroll a few times only to scan my entire watchlist. Give the user the ability to move or group our stocks in a certain order. Right now older inputted stocks are at the bottom and newer ones at the top. I would like to group certain stocks scattered throughout my list together without having to form another watchlist. That is all I have to say right now. Improve functionality.

Slow as molasses!!! ….what happened. I use this app to tie together all of my different accounts, but ever since the last release especially, it has dropped its ability to sync with Vanguard and this has been going on for weeks now. I’ve written them about it four times with no action taken. Still, as I try to sync, I get “ incorrect credentials “ when I know this not to be the case. Additionally , though some what improved from my last review, this thing takes forever to cache from screen to screen especially when trying to get back to your home page , which is like having to click the a button on your browser 20 times just to get back from looking at various stock pages etc. . Additionally, there is no consistency in how the app fits pre or aftermarket prices in the sidebar column lists as they are cut off about 10% of the the way through each box making it impossible to see in that view. Whoever they working on coding this app should go back to school to understand that time is money…..especiallly in the stock market. So I’m looking to dump Yahoo as soon as I can find one that I like somewhere else. And still ….no heat map!!! What’s up with that

Newest version is unusable to track accounts. I’ve been using this thing for so many years that I think my kids were little when I started, and now my daughter‘s graduating college. I’ve always used it as a better looking app to track my stock and bitcoin accounts. However, after being the best option for that for years, the new version is absolutely unusable under the heading “my holdings”. Data that used to be spread out across the entire screen on my iPad Pro, which I use for trading daily, is now squashed on one side of the screen with the ugliest, Google/Microsoft style spreadsheet look that I’ve ever seen. I hate spreadsheets to begin with, but I’ve never seen one quite so ugly and unusable. All of the names of the stocks are squashed up and nearly illegible, I’ve done everything possible to fix this, changed, font sizes, changed, bold settings, but it’s clearly a problem with the new version. I am going looking for something else now after at least a decade of using this app. It looks just as bad on my iPhone I should add so it’s not an iPad issue. I don’t know what they did, but why you would mess with something that has worked for so long is beyond me.

Free!. Excellent app! Much better than CNBC or Bloomberg which only offer a few videos as analysis but then force you to pay for a subscription if you want to watch more videos and get more information. I know Yahoo! Finance also offers a premium subscription but the regular version is already really helpful and full of insights. Videos just keep on playing, you don’t even have to click on another one. CNBC forces you to connect a TV provider to unlock episodes. Seriously? Who still has cable TV in 2020? Thank you so much Yahoo! and keep up the good work!

5 stars for the last 5 years… until now. I’ve used this app for over 5 years and it has been great! With this most recent update, key information that I could grab at a glance now takes 3-4 clicks/taps. Not to mention, it feels slower and clunkier. What used to show dividend yield on a stock now just shows the dividend. You have to click “more details” and wait for it to load before it shows you the percentage yield. You used to be able to quickly see what earnings and profit were. Now you just see the green and blue colors without the dollar amounts. Want to see the dollar amounts? Click the chart and wait 8 seconds. I know these are first world problems I’m ranting about, but your app was better before, why downgrade user friendliness? If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!

Ruined by trolls - please fix. Update. The new changes make the comments section even worse. The mute button is now gone! This is moving in the wrong direction. The mute button was great because it allowed individuals to decide who they didn’t want to hear from without affecting everyone else. It would be a lot better to add an unmute feature than to eliminate this feature entirely. The way this app handles reporting of abuse is an affront to free speech!! Please fix this problem! A lot of great posts are being deleted. Some users are apparently flagging the posts using the “Report Abuse” option which seems to delete those posts for everyone. Here are some suggestions to fix this problem… 1) Users should be able to mark another user as a “trusted user” and if that person’s post get reported as abuse, everyone that trusts that user should still be able to see that post. 2) There needs to be an option for a user to “Hide This Post”. Being able to hide posts a user doesn’t like, instead of just the Report Abuse option (which affects everyone), or mute (which hides ALL posts and not just the one they don’t like) would probably decrease this behavior because it would give people an individual choice to clean up messages they don’t like. Related to this, it would be great to “Show all Posts” for a specific user in case a post is hidden by accident.

Don’t get too big for your shorts. Yahoo finance is a great new aggregator. But it is just that. When I click on a morningstar story, don’t tell me that I have to subscribe to yahoo premium to read it. I understand that you guys are trying to become more than just a news feed and find new revenue streams, but your playing in an arena that you are highly outgunned. Though I admire the shift in corporate budgeting and strategy, I feel that you will drive away people who just liked your app for the news, like myself. Find a better way to monetize than blocking public articles to incumbent users. Don’t alienate, extricate, extricate and monetize.

Disappointed that alerts are now restricted to 100. I was a fan of yahoo finance as its easy tool to manage your finances and keep a track of stocks you own and know next buy sell point using your techniques. One of the most lovable option I used was add price alerts. Today morning I found that they have restricted it to 100 only with unlimited on upgrade to $25 a month. Thats too disappointing. I don’t think yahoo should charge us for alerts for following reasons. Firstly we are not accessing any proprietary info from yahoo analysts. Secondly we are not interested in knowing research ideas from yahoo, I like to do my own research. Thirdly, you already have my data on stocks I browse and importantly the stocks I own. Searching for new tool that can offer free alerts.

Just ok. But it looks great. In addition to my previous review, I think it’s fair to say, that despite how much I dislike this app, It is in fact the best one available at the time of this writing. I’ve tried every other one. So while I really do wish it was sorted out, it also significantly better than ALL of the others. With that I have to bump it up an additional star to 4 stars. Don’t waste your time looking checking the others. — When you add in your holdings every time you create a list, it’s treated as other holdings. So if you organize by industry, like energy, biotech etc.. and you then have a list for all of your holdings, 1000 shares of stock a Your energy list, becomes 2000 shares in your holdings list because you have stock a in two list 1000 shares each. I definitely will not link to my brokerage account because yahoo, Verizon..

Nice overview. I find it useful to quickly track my stocks and watch lists, but find the news articles from questionable sources i.e is it news or marketing? A lot of marketing. But then it’s free, and we expect quality for free these days, which is another topic. Somewhere, someone has to pay.

Bring back old widget!. I prefer the original widget where it always has a black background and proper red coloured text, not the current salmon colour. I like the app itself following System dark mode settings but for me, I prefer all of my iPhone widgets in dark mode regardless. So basically the older widget.

Quick and easy to use. I’ve used this for many years. I like it for easy access, availability of over night market graphs and I always look at the news. It is reliable and has a simply format with other good functionality.

Very Useful Investment Tool. Besides providing a valuable means of tracking international and domestic portfolios Yahoo Finance presents links to good articles on stock you’ve invested in. I’ve been using it for years and it continues to improve. Well done Yahoo Finance Team.

Wow. Impressed!!!. I have been using the app for a couple of weeks and would never have thought it was that good. Excellent and user friendly for retail investors.

Best app to track overall portfolio. I love this app as the easiest way to track my entire portfolio which works across all my devices. In the future I’d love to see more widgets for use on my homescreen and I’d love to see some sort of paid version so I can remove the ads. Thanks!

Still one of the best ways of tracking stocks. Provides news and premarket stock prices as well as their own video content. Still a great app.

Easy to handle. I like using this APP for periodically checking watch list. It also provides new on your selected watch list.

All my finance needs. Love this app. Allows me to track portfolios in different markets and the news content is excellent.

Too many changes. Why did you change the main summary view?

Peter. Stock market tracking and share alerts are handy but the news articles are just rubbish or advertising

Update is terrible. The update is hard to read. Text is too small. When I try and look at a detailed chart it crashes every time and says data not available. This did not happen to me prior to the update. If I could go back to the previous version I would. That was excellent. Had no issues. Also don’t know why you don’t automatically list the share list in alphabetical order. Also why ask for a nick name. Frustrating

Great app. In my opinion this is the best finance app for news, the reports are straightforward and easy to understand, I also really enjoyed the watch list feature only showing you news relevant to your stock interests.

Perfect and free. Love all these features: chart, essential details, option list, news, even comment section.

Day to day, keeping stock. This is a great app for day to day use, on your mobile device, especially iPad. You could use it for serious research as well, but most of us already have that base covered. It has made me plenty of money by just checking the market and the portfolio.

Good service, average app. Clunky app. Why, when I tap a news story, does an unrelated video start playing at the top of the news article, delaying or even sometimes prevent the loading of the actual story itself? Who thought that was a good idea?

It’s all about cred. The fact that Motley Fool dominates the news feed is a crying shame. This sleazy publication, screaming “buy this stock to get rich quick” -seemingly pathetic attempts to manipulate the market - is operating at the fringes of legality. An otherwise excellent app providing a good free service, and an outstanding subscription service

Yahoo Finance. For a free app this quite good. Perhaps I should have given 5 stars based on that. It has the basics for financial advice and I stress that part so I would recommend that you do your due diligence before committing to a share purchase. For a quick check and lookup, this app is good. If you buy shares this app will allow you to watch their progress.

Omg. I had been a user of this app for a year or more and a feature I loved dropped off I contacted the programmer and they not only apologised they returned the feature and better yet personally advised me it had been updated all within two weeks Best ever experience with an app

Good app. Like it, it is a good app. It can be better if it can update my news region every time I change my watch list.

Clean interface - easy to track stock performance. Basic information is sufficient for me. I particularly like the presentation of share info

More and more Adds. Update required for “bug fix” and “improvements” when all that I see changed is more adds every update.

Amazing app. Yahoo Finance is simply an amazing app, I have used a handful of apps for stocks and market scans, the others don’t even come close to matching Yahoo Finance in quality. Hats off to the team that designed and built this app!

Nice app but still need improvements. The UI is simple and nice. News and holdings view is great. The main issue for me is the holdings section. The price in the table are always old while the graph, once you click the stock, shows different price. Basically, prices in the holding section is 15-20 days old. 1-2 days of delay is fine to me but not 20 days.

Personalised View. Only thing I would add would be the ability to see my personalised views of my portfolio I have in the desktop within the app - otherwise every other feature I use is here

Best Finance App. I use this everyday and the interface and experience is definitely best. Only sad thing is where did the comments section disappear to????

Get with the programme!!!. Useless!!”” Innaccurate & a waste of time!!👎🏽 Why do you even bother showing the All Ords Index or the ASX 200??! Out of date and a complete waste of time Why can’t it be “live”????

Good app. Nicely done app, good charts, you can access pretty much all the data that’s on the website. It also doesn’t have the silly politicised news popping up where it isn’t wanted (which is why I deleted the default apple stocks app)

Recommend. This app allows me to track my portfolios both local and international. It’s very easy to set currency for each portfolios. Easy to navigate.

This app used to be outstanding…. Mid February 2022 - This app used to be outstanding on the iPad… Now I’m ditching it. The recent changes have destroyed the ‘all on display’ functionality.

Good app, too many notifications. The app is useful for news and stock information. But there are too many unwanted notifications and you can’t turn off general news notifications separate to your portfolio notifications, very annoying.

A wealth of information. A wealth of real-time information set out clearly with a intuitive interface. Obviously a lot of time and effort goes into making and maintaining this app - bravo to the developers for a great product.

Great stock tracker. I’ve used this app for a couple of years and access it several times a day to track multiple portfolios… a few tricks but great once you get familiar with it you’ll find you’re a little addicted Couple of things that would make it better… 1 the ability to group multiple portfolios for total and gain/loss purposes. 2 an easier way to import. Currently I find it easier to manually enter any purchases and then cross check that everything is in sync 3 be able to handle day totals better. For example my AU day total for today (Monday) still includes my US day total (eg Friday). This is why point one would be nice that I can group portfolios at least by $ type

Ok site but be wary. The easy access to information is good when searching different companies. Be very wary of the people writing different things and offering comments and valuations on stocks, some of these are completely incorrect.

Useful info and news. Only problem : Can’t expand pictures /charts in news articles, so you can’t read the smaller text items.

Updates for premium users. Now the app crashes - test it before release

High quality. Snappy and intuitive to use . I wish they had alerts for Australian stocks show up as banners on home screen when not using this app and/ or could trade US stocks through Yahoo from Australia.

Functional but spammy news. Portfolio tracking is handy. On the Wishlist is ability to report on capital gains (buy and sell records) and dividends. However the spammy, click bait news sources really reduce the overall impression. Most days you can’t get a trustworthy insight at all.

Conversation section bugs. I love using this app, I use it every day but you have to fix the bugs in the conversation section where people discuss company’s. Every time your reading a discussion thread or try to expand a post the app refreshes and you loose the post you were reading. This happens in every forum. I have always found these message boards very informative for a somewhat beginner investor like myself, I hope they fix this bug really soon because it hasn’t been fixed in the last few updates. Other than that this app is a great way to track your portfolio and get relevant news. Easy to navigate and a great interface with decent analysis and company information.

Best App for Financial News. It has best UI so far i have seen, usually financial app are old looking and sluggish but this app takes UI experience to next level. Would love to have premium option so I don’t have to see ads. Regardless best app i have seen. Love it and would greatly recommend.

Very happy but Could be better 👍🏼. Very comprehensive, just needs an alert feature and multiple watchlist options, good articles posted as well 👍🏼

Version 10.0 GUI not clear. Latest interface is a downgrade. Key information does not stand out like it did before. It’s nice and clean, but everything just blends into the background.

Capital Bank Notes. Bank notes have stopped updating price for a while now. Totally useless to anyone that have these in portfolio. Used to work before. Please fix this issue.

Bugs still not fixed. Nice app but there’s some basic stuff that it can’t do properly like summing up your portfolio value across different lists. Bug becomes even more obvious when the total value is different between your iPhone and iPad 🤯

Keeps shutting down when I open the app. This app keeps shutting down whenever I open it to view my stocks watch list. It won’t stay open or open at all. I have downloaded all the latest bug fixes. I am using iPhone XE.

Feedback. Love the app. But why is there not live updates in prices from the ASX. It seems to lag by about 20 mins. Also can we have commodities prices for Iron Ore, coal and gas. Thx.

Most recent update displays wrong currency. The most recent update converts my US watch lists into AUD (local) and I can’t change it back. I need to see them in USD, not have to take into account USD/AUD fluctuations as well as gain/loss on the actual stock

Feature Request: Holdings Chart. Great app and very user friendly. Would be perfect if it shows a chart of total holdings over time a la Robinhood, and for individual stocks in your holding. Thanks!

Real Time Prices & Comments On YF Rocks !. Amazing value addition to investment community through real time stock prices & commentary. Would highly recommend the app for serious investors & traders.

Missing some features. Overall great. But it would be great if you put in a purchase date in portfolio it allowed you to pick a price rather than just a blank cell.

My list 2.0 sucks!. I hate the new my list 2.0 it’s literally ruined the app. Why would you remove my ability to see days gain and total gain, my purchase price and market value etc? That was the best part of this app and you removed it. Ugh. Gonna have to look for a new finance app now.

Column sort would be useful. This has been my go to app for several years. I would love it if I could sort columns from high to low so I could quickly see the days stars and dogs. The icons at the top are useful, but I would love to know how to change/organize them.

Yahoo Finance is informative!. Yahoo Finance is quite informative and useful for its readers, observers and users. It is serving an incredible purpose to those having thirst for Finance related news and analysis.

The new charts are terrible. Whatever update you just did it’s horrible I can’t even read the charts any more. I’m going to another stocks app now

New update Color hard to see. The bright green and red is such an awful design choice. They are like mini flashlights in your eyes. I can even look at the numbers for more than 3 seconds

Very useful app. Great app, always helps me. Easy to manage lists with sorting by price, percentage increase, etc. love this app. ❤️

Holdings Tab. omg. Please put the Holdings tab ba ck the way it was.

Holding tab is problematic. Please revert to the previous format. This is not adapted to crypto and all required fields are not great if you don’t recall exactly when you bought them. The 2.0 is a mistake. Will give 5 stars if reverting to previous format.

Avoid at all costs. Portfolio 2.0 is such a disaster, will not let you add any new holdings and there is now way to revert back to how it was. Yahoo keeps changing the layouts when no one’s asking them to do so. Please do yourself a favour, and avoid at all costs!

Sucks up all my data. This app literally uses 1 GB with all videos turned off…ridiculous

Newest update looks horrible. Worst visual update to an app I’ve ever seen. Literally can’t look at it anymore. Just went from easy on the eyes and simple to harsh font and no way to differentiate between walls of numbers clustered together. Yahoo is asking for an uninstall here.

Giving me alerts that stocks are at all time lows. When the stocks are nowhere near there all time low.

Every update gets WORSE. First you ruined the charts with the garbage update and now the most recent update I have to click twice through to see my portfolio and has the ugliest side bar like come on. Who approves these terrible decisions you have completely ruined the app

Needs more filters to find TSX stocks. The app is great for NYSX but for someone like me who is looking for strictly TSX stocks, the app has no filter or screener for any specific search and under markets it does not let you choose which stock exchange you are under. Hopefully they add this soon.

Easier to use and more practical than Apple’s app. I installed this because I kept going to the web version for ratios and performance analysis. It really has a lot of data and well organized

Canadian ETF Data Gone. NAV, Yield etc are now all missing for Canadian ETFs. Also, when using the stock function for Canadian ETFs, none of this information is available after the last yahoo update. Pretty much makes Apple Numbers and any other spreadsheet app useless for Canadian investors. Poor decision on Yahoo’s part. Now all my spreadsheets are effectively useless. Devalues Apple Numbers now for me too. Please bring back the basics!!!

Recently I have been unable to click between time periods. Great app, but buggy clicking lately. Scrolls work, so it isn’t frozen, but clicking seems broken.

Currency Issues. App still shows market value in USD (but says CAD) for US stock lots purchased in Canadian dollars. This causes gain/loss percentages to be incorrect.

They got rid of the years from the graph. They got rid of the year when scrubbing through the graph. Whose bright idea was this?

App does not work on M1 Mac. Unable to log in and import all my stock info which kinda defeats the purpose

Do not convert to 2.0. This is the dumbest update this app has had. All my portfolios are uneditable and I can’t even remove a ticker let alone update my holdings. The holdings feature is now useless…

Yahoo Finance. This is an amazing app to keep track of your investments and for various information on companies. I highly recommend it !!

Version 2.0. For those complaining the new version, I was one of you. But today I came back to adjust my previous review. I have managed to redo columns in detail tab so my original concerns are gone now. But I still have conserve currency. How can see my average cost in US dollar?

Just ok. It’s a pretty good app all things considered. It fersher has one major design flaw for (iPhone at least), if you click on a stocks chart, it flips the screen sideways and has this little tiny X button in the corner of the screen that is almost impossible to actually click. Oh and when I was coming here to write this I saw that it says real-time quotes, that’s not the case, unless I am missing some option, quotes are delayed 20min

Spammers. Boards are full of spammers you can mute but they are back the next day You can report but nobody cares You can write a comment but if you are not a bot they decide whether to let it go up or not Something is up with this site I think they are bought out by shorts

Don’t Upgrade to Version 2.0. The new version is worse than the old. The little mini graph on a stock on the main page doesn’t show the date of the stock price when you scroll through the history. I wish I never upgraded.

New widgets are messed up. The previous update had better visuals as they provided price tag with the graph, this new widgets doesn’t have that option and colours are washed out. Please bring old widgets with graph back.

need a new developer. Who ever is the developer and UI expert needs to get replaced. So many bugs, UI is getting worse by the update and the last update makes it crash on every open.

Hate the new update. They took away one of the categories at the bottom and if you use the search tab it doesnt show any after hour numbers unless you click each stock. Heading backwards in terms of updates

2.0 is a step backwards. Its impressive that they made it so much less useful than the previous version. Ease of use and useful information has been degrading lately, but this one is the nail in the coffin for me.

Best FREE financial app hands down!!!. The title says it all...best watch lists...amazingly fast real time quotes and with real tick charts.... no other app that isn't part of some brokerages in house program comes close to this... thank you Yahoo

The financials section is brutal change it back. It’s so hard to read the financial section with the new sliding change. Just change it back .

Bring back old currency display please!!. It used to be very convenient app to use to track your stock investment. Yet, after the recent update, I can no longer have different currency display anymore. It's either going to be all usd or Canadian... but I have both currency stocks and now the average cost is all messed up and I have to manually change currency display each time I check a different stock I track. BRING BACK THE OLD CURRENCY DISPLAY PLEASE!!!!!! Or I'll just need to delete it and find another to track... sad

Yahoo Finance. Not bad. A lot more offered than any app I've tried. Just to keep up with what's going on and why. Other apps just gave data but no news. Found out about this app online, in an article about what apps seem best now that the stocks app that use to come pre installed on IPad no longer offered.

Version 2.0 is terrible. The new 2.0 version is garbage! You can’t manually add shares and is a headache for Canadians since the portfolios don’t show up on the desktop version and you can’t edit anything on the app version! Zero tech support and zero answers how to fix this. Was a really good app now ruined!

New version is horrible!!. New version is horrible I can’t sort my stock by name, the value can’t be changed to USD even thought the setting is set to default to USD. Please fix this before I find another app!!

Ridiculous. This app used 1 GB in 10mins. What data are you trying to get from us?

Good but needs improvements. Dear Yahoo Finance, I’ve been using your app for over a year, and while I love much of the Ui and the community on there, I’m surprised that in over a year, you haven’t updated the app to capitalize of the surging interest and growing amount of people getting into the stock market. Issue #1: there should be an increase focus on conversations and user interactions. How come I don’t get a notification when someone replies to my comment? How come it took me almost a year to finally figure out how to see my own user activity?? It took me a year to find out that I had to go in conversations, then as the bottom window pops up to leave a comment, I then have to tap on my user profile, AND THEN I can see all the comments I’ve made and liked, to then also be able to go back to where I commented to see if someone replied to me. This is such an unintuitive design and user experience. Can’t you see how so many user communities are being built elsewhere when yahoofinance could’ve easily been the central hub for everything? Look at your competitors, they all put a greater priority on user interactions than you do, and getting a general sense of what’s being discussed is incredibly important as we’re moving towards an age where fundamentals alone are not enough to predict the movement of a stock. Issue #2: There are a few bugs around the “conversation” section that need to be fixed. First of all, one of three times, it’s stuck “loading” infinitely, I learned that I had to hard close the app and then reload it, to then go back to the stock to then finally load the conversation... I’ve been doing this for a year now, ridiculous. Also, you need to rework your comment censoring algorithms, it is deleting way too many real organic comments and bleeping words that you guys deem inappropriate is just belittling, you should let users decide whether they care to have language censored or not, we’re all adults here. Issue #3: You have a few more design issues that need to fix, while overall it’s a beautiful app, which is why I love using it in the first place, there are a lot of functions and elements that aren’t intuitive, such as how if I want to “star” a stock so that it appears in multiple watchlists, well each time I “star” it, the menu disappears and I have to tap on the star again to open the menu... why can’t you just leave the menu open and let me dismiss it myself when I’m done adding it to my different watchlists?? Issue #4: Another design issue, but the most important one: setting Alerts... First of all, you should allow us to have alerts that don’t deleted once triggered. As an example, what if I want to know every time a strike price touches a certain price, on its way down or up? Especially when stocks are volatile, it’s going to touch certain price points multiple times, and it’s annoying that I have to go back and set the same alert again just to know if it ever reaches that price again. Also, and this is the most annoying part, after setting an alert for a stock, I can’t just immediately create a new one for the same stock, I have to close the alert menu which brings me back to my stock and then tap on the alert icon again to then be able to create another alert on the same stock. This is such bad design, because actually after you create an alert for a stock in the menu, if I tap to create a new alert right away, it asks me to search for the stock I want to create an alert for... That’s so unnecessarily tedious. So can you just imagine how tedious it is to create these alerts, only for them to maybe get cleared out and then having to come back and do it all over again? I’m getting really tired of doing all of this, I moved over from the bloomberg app over to you guys because of the nicer design and the conversation community that also has a user base that’s more mature than stocktwits, but if something else ever comes up, or if tradingview becomes more popular, I’ll naturally be moving elsewhere if none of the design elements are fixed. I took the time to write this lengthy review BECAUSE I want to keep using your app and so wish to see it get improved. I hope you’ll take it seriously and start working on not only fixing the flaws cited here, but also take an opportunity to brainstorm how to improve your user community experience, cause there’s really a lot of opportunities there.

Temps reel + Date ex-dividende. J’adore l’ajout des cours en temps réel pour la bourse canadienne. Commentaire constructif: Il serait intéressant que la date ex-dividende soit indiquée dans les statistiques clés!

Useless For Canadians. Doesn’t recognize or track most Canadian Mutual Funds and ETF’s

What on earth did Yahoo do this app??. I’m so annoyed with this app. The 2.0 update completely screwed up my entire portfolio and made everything so confusing. Everything is way off and I have literally no clue how to fix it. I’ll have to delete the app and add in my portfolio all over again. I don’t understand why these apps can’t just leave things the way they are.

Why are there errors !!. On the holding tab u can’t put in the share price in Canadian $$ as there’s an error in the software!! Sent in a help ticket.... crickets !!

Not good. Very limited. You can't do much on this app and not all of the stock are available to see. It sucks basically. Lol.

New format is not an improvement. Tried the new format and hate it. Would love a way to reverse it back

Don’t like. I prefer using the website. This app is limited and yahoo now disabled web access of yahoo finance. Can’t use my own created view; this app option is only basic or detailed. Can’t switch to landscape mode...

Another horrible update. I don’t understand why time and time again a major update is pushed out without testing properly. This update has so many bugs that I’m just going to stop using from now on.

Great App except….. One star because their moderators in the comments section are too trigger happy to reject your comment without verifying the content and also why do I have to sign in each time I’m using a PC (I don’t have that problem when using my Mac).

Old version of holdings. Please bring back last version of holdings view. It was so simple to see and click on holdings before, now not so much.

Can't Log in to Account. For some reason, I am unable to log in to my account. I love the app on iPhone, and will update once this feature gets fixed.

Useful app. Overall pretty decent app, but can you put back the actual price of the stock during pre market and after hours instead of just displaying the change. It was a lot easier to view the info before.

I used to love this app! WHAT HAPPENED!?!?. This app used to be so great, I loved it and it was definitely my go-to for tracking and watching stocks. I don’t know what the deal is with the app now, but almost every time I open it, I just get the spinning wheels of death, and it never loads/updates. I deleted the app and reinstalled, close and reopen, pull to refresh… nothing. It is so frustrating. I’m about to just delete it and move to a different app; I don’t know what happened and why this won’t ever load, but I used to love it.

Please bring back ‘business description’ section of company profile. Recently, I noticed the ‘business description’ section is no longer provided in the ‘company profile’ section in the yahoo finance app. What made the yahoo finance app so great is that I can instantly look up a stock price AND business description of a company. A stock price and the accompanying statistics available in the app are useless if I can’t quickly read a description of the company to figure out what the company does. Please bring back the business description. Thanks!

Others are Exceeding Yahoo Finance. Yahoo Finance was one of the better apps for financial news. However, other apps (BLOOMBERG, CNBC, Fox Business, etc.) have upped the game leaving YF behind. Some of my pet peeves with YF are: 1) the number of adds has grown as a percentage of news stories 2) lack of a marker (like a dollar sign) to linked stories that require paid memberships to read content. That way, I could pick alternate web sites that contain the same story that don’t require my e-mail address or some type of paid membership 3) Way too many class action law suit press releases posing as news stories 4) Lack of coverage on foreign companies with substantial activity in North America. Examples include Hyundai, British Airways, Sony, etc. It appears that if a stock is not directly listed on the NYSE, the business in question fall off the YF radar scope unless the is a class law suit against the foreign company Sorry for sounding so difficult, but YF needs to take a hard look at its current practices or it will fall behind other apps. It will no longer be the “Go To” app for financial news.

It’s always all here. Yahoo Finance is always the first go to provider of financial news. Not Google Finance, not CNBC or any other provider. I’ve been in this business almost 50 years, Yahoo Finance is reliable and easily available. I know for a fact several investment professionals use Yahoo Finance. Jimmy Kramer on Mad Money has used it for years. I have no financial interest in Yahoo Finance. I am not paid to write this review. Yahoo Finance is kinda like Joe Friday on Dragnet always said, “Just the facts mam, just the facts.” I use Yahoo Finance several times a week for financial facts on companies I’m considering going long or short.

Yahoo Finance is a Chinese Company now. Yahoo Finance is owned by Apollo global management, if your going to leave a review, you might as well address them directly, yahoo finance was a great investing app, its pretty much as gone down the drain now, I loved reading the comments from other users, was one of the best parts, they got rid of that, they also own Fox News online, they’re in the process of destroying that as well, sometimes I wonder, if y'all are in the business of making money, or are you just collecting a paycheck from China now too, its so sad, I guess Apollo global management is a Chinese Company now, you might as well change your name to dragon global management, and Communist Finance

Great app! Please consider custom notification sound. Love the app and the price alerts are reliable. My one and only ask is for price alert notifications to have a different custom sound. I wish a lot of 3rd party did this. To many notifications from many apps using the one default iOS sound make relying on sound a miss sometimes. Any sound lol. A cha ching, a ding a do dong, just something unique that when I hear it I know... that’s yahoo finance wanting to tell me something and not one of my many other apps. Thank you for your consideration.

Stellar user experience. Just got this app and coming from the fidelity app, its worlds better. I have a lot more to discover but here are some highlights: pinch and stretch and create segments by holding two points on graphs, realtime stock price while reading that companies news, red/green font color on price fluctuations. More to come I’m sure. The one thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t accept my Google Voice phone number when creating an account. I don’t like tying my mobile number to any apps if I can help it, just to be safe.

Crummy Appearance. The rating would be zero stars if that was allowed. I agree with nearly everyone else on here, the appearance of the new app is horrible, everything is harder to read, and it’s far less intuitive at a quick glance. I also agree with those saying companies push out new useless updates and “improvements” to apps for no reason whatsoever, seems it’s just engineers way of justifying their continued employment. No real value to add? Quick change the app’s appearance to distract everyone. Also, they say they appreciate our feedback, but that’s just lip-service, they don’t care that 95% of people on here don’t like the new appearance, they won’t change it back, they’ll just keep it just the way it is now. Why? Just cuz, that’s why.

Yahoo financial EDC. A+ I’ve been using yahoo search engine browser on and off on my personal pc keeping yahoo alive, at times I’m beginning to use yahoo search engine first, during my initial set up then as main browser using Google as default. I’m confident yahoo financial alerts and advisements will continue point me in the direction of financial growth to become stronger together during these unprecedented events. EDC are my initials, I like the ring to (Yahoo financial EDC) by this I’m just showing Yahoo that I’m not only following but representing. Thank you.

Potential for a great app. I like what the potential is with your tracking of a portfolio and have kept much of my own stocks in this for several years. The potential is in keeping a list with stock shares and prices. The internet itself generates too much effort, which is made worse with the incessant requests for user-names and passwords. I don’t see how you check a few stocks in a brief amount of time. Also how would one edit the data for a stock? In the past I managed to use the import and export feature, with Excel to show the portfolio’s value. Find another app that permits this—maybe Morningstar but that involves buying access.

Portfolio 2.0 made it unusable for me. The most recent update for the portfolios made it so I can’t use the app anymore. In order to track your stocks you are required to enter a purchase price and a purchase date. I understand that this gives you more detail but as so many people do fractional shares nowadays it isn’t manageable, especially if you are trying to manage old buys. I have thousands of transaction a over the past 6 years that I will never be able to enter. A simple fix for this would be to allow for both options, detailed transactions (include date and purchase price) and non-detailed transactions (number of shares only) I used to check this app 50 times a day but now I am looking for a replacement.

Love YF but something that might help.... I love Yahoo finance and it’s helped me keep in touch on what’s happening in our market in learning more about companies. But I think what would help if there was a “save for later“ tab and a section that makes it easy to go back to articles that maybe we couldn’t read right away. So many times I’ve came across an article that look like a good read but I couldn’t read it at the time and then forget about it because something comes up. Then later on I have a hard time remembering what article it was didn’t have to scroll through my feed to find it.

iPad shortcomings. Why is it the iPhone Yahoo Finance version is better laid out than the iPad version. That's because the iPhone version has the Home, News, Discover, Markets, and Account titles at the bottom of the screen taking up very little room. Where as the iPad version wastes space by putting those titles in the left hand side bar. It didn't always used to be that way, but Yahoo Finance thought how can we mess up the iPad? And they found a way. I have tried telling Yahoo of their problem and all they can say is, it's working fine.

New version is a disaster!. To be clear, I gave the previous version a 5 stars. However, this new version is a total catastrophe! Let me just simply point out a few drawbacks: 1. Comment sections are destroyed! Somehow I can’t even give people thumbs up after this update. Every time I try to give one, it disappears after I leave the page. 2. GIF section is full of bugs! In this new version, it seems to prevent users from searching a GIF with multiple key words! The search will only work with one key word. 3. Comment layout are getting worse and more complicated. Why can’t you just put ‘thumb up’ and ‘thumb down’ symbols right next to the ‘reply’? Now there are lots of blank space between the two and it’s not UI/UX friendly. 4. Why does it have to show ‘1 person is typing’? It sometimes pops out from nowhere, and it is annoying. Again, not UI/UX friendly. 5. Sometimes when I click ‘view more data’, it directs me to ‘view all posts’. It gotta be some kind of bugs, please fix it. If possible, I would much much prefer the older version. I chose to update because last few updates were great - but this time, it is a nightmare.

Very well made app for iPhone, would love to see on Apple Watch. I use the iPhone app daily to track multiple portfolios and even some physical instruments such as gold and silver. The app is snappy and responsive and provides the information that I am looking for on my total portfolio performance. I would bump the review to five stars if this app had a few additional features, specifically: - Ability to sort my portfolio by the various columns in the “my holdings” view (e.g. sort by largest holding value or largest % gain) - Apple Watch app (including complication) to review portfolio data on my watch would be incredibly useful

Best business finance application out there. Quote’s they got it. Looking for that mining company in Africa and need the symbol it’s right there. Set a price target up or down good to go. Daily news on all companies available at your finger tips Chat room posts from those invested share their thoughts. Charts are in beautiful colors in green and red candles showing trends and price history. End of day a quick flash of all my percentage winners I’ve for several brokerage firms and Yahoo Finance has the best had held platform period

New Version - Bad UI. Updated Jan 2024. My original review was 1 star because they effectively ruined the app with their update, but to their credit they did address a lot of the things they did I(’m assuming after seeing reactions). Overall this is really a great app. Hopefully no more “improvements” that change that. Original review Dec 2023 - Sadly this is another case of a highly rated app being made worse by developers that try to fix things that aren’t broken. The new UI is horrible - much harder to read. Great job of messing up a wonderful app!

Analyst. I had fallen in love with your app up until recently. In the past I was able to look at analysts thought of buying versus selling a stock showing a rating from 1 to 5 where one was a very strong by to five which is a strong sell. Starting today I cannot see that. Very very disappointed, without that the app just seems to be just another app not the one that used to be so special. It was so important that if I would see it again I would be giving it five stars not three. Hope you will go back to what you used to share.

Doesn’t Handle Shorts Well. Overall the app is really good and it’s easy to add lots, track prices, see details, etc. It updates consistently and the alerts are what I would ask. However, I operate on a long and short basis and the app just cannot handle shorts correctly. It tracks them in a value basis in the portfolio but if you click the underlying for detail it half loads. For example, I wrote calls against my Sonos position and I added the call option to my list and put in the negative shares (reflecting the short) and now the Sonos security where I am long doesn’t fully load. It is not just Sonos, it does this every time I write calls against a security and I add the short.

Widget needs price change option. Unless I am missing something, unlike the Apple Stocks app widget, it appears the Yahoo! Finance app widget does not offer an option to see a stocks list by price change rather than percentage change. It would be great if one could press on the widget and when selecting Edit have the option to show the change in either percentage or price. I know its simple enough to open the app and see your portfolio set by price, or try to convert it in ones head for those visually gifted to do math in their mind, but if the widget could do it like the Apple Stocks widget that would be great.

PREMIUM IS A SCAM. Do not pay for premium. I have been a subscriber for over 6 months now, and I have not gained any actionable insight. The recommendations are horrible. I considered linking my brokerage, but they don’t even link with ameritrade?! It’s a terrible scam. If I’m spending $40/month, I’d rather get the Wall Street journal and find recommendations myself. I’ve lost so much money by following what they recommend. Plus, it is near impossible to even find the premium features on the app. You would think that they would have an entire separate app for something this expensive. NOPE. It’s hidden away. And you can get the same (if not better) insights from the free version. Horrible waste of time and money. I am furious that I wasted so much time and money on this joke of a platform

Stop messing with the app.. The folks at yahoo just can't help themselves. They have to keep messing with something that already works well. Please go back to the format in the earlier version of this app. Thanks note to the developer requesting specifics.I don't want the daily total gain for all of the portfolios or wish list that I'm tracking rolled up on one page. I didn't mind having to click on the top of the page to change the portfolio I wanted to view. The changes you have made made it less user-friendly.

Recently unusable and completely awful. This app was to be great. For the last couple months it has been the absolute worst. The prices shown are not accurate, they jump around and are usually 1% off of the actual real time prices. This is not due to normal market changes either, I have checked. In the watchlist the app shows one price, then when you open an individual stock it will jump to a completely different price often 100bps different then what it’s showing on the watch list. This has made this app complete irrelevant and useless. What good is a stock app that doesn’t show accurate prices? Complete and utter joke. I expect better. Is there going to be any updates that address this? I would love to hear from the development team on this.

Been using for years. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 "I recently dove into the world of finance with the Yahoo Finance app, and it's been a game-changer for me. The user-friendly design makes navigating the complex stock market surprisingly easy and engaging. I'm constantly updated with real-time stock information, which is perfect for keeping track of my investments. The personalized news feed is spot on, delivering relevant financial stories that cater to my interests. It's like having a financial advisor in my pocket, making me feel more confident and informed about my financial decisions."

Great app just one small issue. Thank you for your hard work on the app. Im just having a small issue. I have an Iphone XR 64gb. At random times Im unable to access the conversations section. A spinning loading wheel will show next to the Conversations button. If i click into it, it tries to load but nothing shows. If i close the app altogether and reload it, it will work normal for a short while then do the same thing. Not too sure what to do but otherwise its a very nice app and easy to use. Thanks!

Stocks for kids. I’m not sure if it’s an oversight on my behave or haven’t found the way to do it . I would like to have an option of placing my watchlist of stocks in Alphabetical order or have the stock in a order of my choice energy, gold oil , automotive stocks ect. followed by the date I started Monitoring the stock. Also I like to mention I often spend time with my kids and grandkids trying to inspire them in learning the market as we know the Market has a host of subjects that they study in school math , Economics and so on. So add an option were they can have some play money ‘’family fun’’

Great App, But An Issue Arose. I have been using this app for years and been very happy with it. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered a problem with it. I used to use the “home’ screen with stock market quotes, gold, silver, oil, foreign currencies, etc on the top of the screen and my stock watch list below the Home Screen indicators. Now I can’t seem to get both working at the same time. I want to see the my ‘basic’ holdings and the ‘home’ screen indicators at the same time. Has the app been updated or am I doing something wrong? Appreciate your help.

Pretty awesome but one major change should be made. It’s a amazing app I can see companies and crypto and scrutinize them with high detail unlike most apps, but I think the more important add on in the app is the news page which any many ways is where people can make the most money or save their money. I would like there to be a way where I can customize my news page to only have certain websites like wsj or investopedia, Reuters and sites like that so I can customize my learning. That’s all thank you!!

Latest UI is absolutely awful!. I am a UI designer myself, what they did with the latest ui updates for individual company info pages are awful! I It’s not intuitive at all! After briefly exploring new interface, I still can’t understand if they limited access to some info that’s been there before or it’s now well hidden and will take users time to find where it is. The quick summary is gone and nowhere to be found. All the info is all over the place. Too many new screens to get to the info needed. Very disappointing! Why break something that worked? It doesn’t look like any new features were added so I don’t see point in this redesign.

Eh. Honestly the application isn’t nearly as good as the website and a lot of time the information I need is on the website so I just end up going to my browser anyway making the application kind of pointless tbh. All the information on there is usually just available on most brokerage apps anyways also making it pointless. Also feel like the fact that yahoo tries to make you pay a monthly sub for certain information on their website is shady and honestly overpriced, although most subscription based financial information services are incredibly overpriced so it’s just part of the business. I do love yahoo finance and use it a lot but feel like the subscription is way overpriced and the app is pointless compared to the website.

Long-time user dissatisfied. This app used to be the best app for stock market info and I have used it for a long time. Now, many of the news stories about an investment require a paid sibscription from the provider or are sources that write robo articles that are not well thought our. In other words, o am looking elsewhere for meaningful news on an investment. Furthermore, I have noticed articles written by Yahoo writers to be extremely politically biased. I am extremely disappointed in the direction this app has moved. Another problem with this app is censorship on message boards. If you try and post something and for some unknown reason the program decides it doesn’t meet community guidelines, even though it does meet guidelines, there is no one to talk to about it and you are censored.

Mad money. Yahoo! Finance is an exceptional app for anyone interested in staying up to date with financial markets and investments. The app offers a user-friendly interface that provides real-time data on stocks, bonds, cryptocurrencies, and more. The comprehensive news section keeps you informed about the latest financial developments. Additionally, the portfolio tracking and customizable alerts make it a valuable tool for managing investments. Overall, Yahoo! Finance is a must-have app for anyone in the world of finance, from beginners to seasoned investors.

Quarterly financials now require preminum. Yahoo Finance has more advanced tools for investing than any other free mobile app on the market. Personally, the advanced charting and financials on this app are the sole reason I keep it. Yahoo Finance offers more features on their app than some brokerage firms offer on their website. Having said all that, the most recent change now requires premium to access quarterly financial reports. As a mobile app, Yahoo Finance, is still a clear leader but to pay $35/month to access the quarterly reports is steep considering most brokerage firms offer it for free (just not on a mobile app).

Very user friendly. Wish the newsfeeds were not just ads. As far as stock tracking apps go, I think this is one of the easiest to learn how to use. I find it better than Apple’s Stock Market default ap. I would like to see the customizability increased so I can group stocks I am following by industry types, small, emerging and blue chip stocks and international and US based publicly traded companies. The downside I have found so far is that I do not like the news section at the bottom. It is not helpful and is clickbait to paid advertisements. It would be more useful if it showed reputable newspapers, podcasts and Wikipedia. I find I have to do the market research myself by switching to other apps. Overall, I give it five stars for ease of use and the charts are very helpful and improve with each new software update. It is a very good app that can be even better with each new iteration.

Comment replies go to another page. Hate this about apps, but the site stopped working correctly on Safari, not loading the graph or drop down boxes not opening. Tech support gave me a whole list of things to do that I don’t understand how to do and suspect it won’t help anyway. So I actually found the app and luckily it was able to install an older version on my iPad. So instead of replies to conversations dropping down on the same page, it takes me to another page. This is what I completely hate about apps. So I’m constantly going back and forth to read comments. Like they love to waste your time.

The best finance app. I’ve used a bunch of different apps for tracking the market and my portfolio, and Yao finance is the best I’ve found so far. Excellent graphs, portfolio tracking, and alerts. I do wish the news would be more diverse, but there are other app’s and websites for that. The community is the weak spot, but that’s not under Yahoo’s control. The only item on my wish list is to be able to track your sells, and see your realized gains/losses, but maybe that’s a premium option that I’m not aware of.

Terrible new update, just got slapped with a wall of text. I love you guys. Your whole dev team, and I’ve been a fan of this app&data for a decade plus. But… The new update is painful for me visually, and is probably my least favorite update ever. It’s a wall of text, that’s impossible to scan in the same way that the more pronounced colors/boxes enabled. It’s much less compact, and the new fonts, visuals, and spacing are all just harder to read, especially after hours where you end up with 3 rows of tiny text next to a ticker price. This is not shock/awe due to a new UI.

Custom price setting. New update changed the way you enter the “custom price”. Latest update added one extra step to set the custom price. I’m trying to go back to quicker way of doing it, as it was, by tapping the bell (top right corner), which allowed to enter custom price on the spot. Now when I tap the bell it opens separate page with options to set the custom price by choosing set percentages, or by choosing “custom” tab, which allows you to enter desired price. Previously, the latter was embedded in the bell icon, which made it quick and easy to set the custom price. Is there way to change this to how it was? Or if not, how do I reverse it back to previous version?

Yahoo finance is corrupt.. I am new to investing i have being buying and selling for alittle over 1 yrI have seen a lot of under handed stuff go one on other platforms and talked about on other forums. Yahoo fine is supposed to be a trusted and reliable trading tool to help investor and guide them using accurate information while trade. It is insane to see yahoo finance hide or remove posts in the AMC conversation board. Yahoo is unbiased in its action only allowing posts n the AMC conversation board to be displayed from 1 week old to several months old posts. I have investment accounts on multiple platforms but I will never open a brokerage account with yahoo finance. Their actions against AMC how dishonest they can be by manipulating the conversation on a certain topic to advance they’re agenda.

Fantastic App. Absolutely love this app. Especially how easy it is to set up multiple watchlists, with multiple various alerts/notifications for each stock. It is genuinely one of the best finance apps for data I’ve ever found. It pairs seamlessly across devices via signing into the same account. Works just as good on my iPad, if not better. The only thing that would give it a perfect 5 star is for the developers to continue to broaden their support for broker services to add. I use vanguard and SoFi. While vanguard is supported very well, SoFi is not. Other than that, I cannot think of a single issue with the app. Absolutely love it.

Please let me hide news from Spammy sources. Biggest missing feature is the ability to hide news from certain publishers. Watchlist doesn't have options for any columns. There's 5 and there's not even any basics: PE, market cap, etc. no way to sort the watchlist, it just kinda comes up with its own preference. When adding a new symbol, it doesn't suggest the current price, you have to go back and check the price. I'd like the ability to add notes, make sub-lists and sub-sub-lists

News feed not updating without refresh. I like this app, but when I open it up, nothing shows up in the news feed. I just wait and wait and wait - until I pull down on the screen at the very top to “refresh” the info and all of the sudden all the news articles show up. So this is a bug. I shouldn’t have to open the app, scroll down below my watch stocks, only to see no news, and then scroll all the way back up again to pull down on my screen to get the news feed to show up, and then scroll down again to read the news. Please fix this bug so I can save time when using the app. Thank you!

Latest update ruined app. Is there a way to uninstall an update? The app was nearly perfect before this update. Everything was at your fingertips on one screen and it was easy to scroll through everything on my watchlist. Either all the metrics have been removed or they’re hidden behind lots of clicks which you’d now have to do for each and every stock you follow - too time consuming and not user friendly. I’ll improve my rating if this is fixed. Please just go back to the excellent UI you had a few days ago!

Jacobo Monjaraz y.ahoo. this is from Jacobo Monjaraz appreciate it the best channel 5 stars maybe more than five because these guys there’s stars in the earth not in the sky, so every single person working there we’re going to camera you know all the people run Yahoo may appreciation is going to be able to forever and I hope I miss the old you guys are OK but I really appreciated everything you guys do and I hope the people appreciation so they get a refund and be part of the family from yahoo

Market manipulation through no moderator. Yahoo finance uses a computer moderator which unfortunately allows market manipulation with absolutely zero recourse. There is a troll in the mnmd message board that lies and uses about 5 different accounts to try and scare people out of their positions. I have tried to get yahoo to do something multiple times and they don’t even respond. Posters are confidential and it’s absolutely being used illegally by certain individuals. Yahoo is either benefiting from this or they just don’t care. Either way Reddit or any message board with a human that thinks is better

Excellent app with great customer service. I’ve been using this app as my primary finance app since I bought my first iPad in 2012. It’s my go-to app to monitor my investments. There was an issue with the Market Value column suddenly missing from the My Holdings tab with the latest update. I wrote an e-mail to customer service and the programmers corrected the problem is a few days. They were responsive to my emails and let me know as soon as the corrected update was available. Great to have a large company like Verizon be so responsive.

Ridiculous. iPhone X 1.) New chart view has potential, but should never have been released in this sorry state. 5-day chart view has ONE-DAY resolution. I.e. if you look at a 5-day chart you only see 5 points, one for each day. That’s ridiculous. Resolution needs to be at least 10x, but more like 100x the period, whenever possible. There’s no excuse to put out such a Garbage product! For years, yahoo’s Old charts had issues with very low resolutions on some time scales. NEVER show less than 100 data points in a chart, and you’ll be doing pretty well. 2.) “Conversations” A.) cannot reply to lowest reply Tap to reply to a conversation thread. Scroll down to last existing reply. Can not scroll low enough to tap “reply to” to the last reply. It is out of frame. B.) cannot copy post to clipboard The app automatically unselects selected text very quickly. Only if you are extremely fast, can you highlight the text you want, tap it, and then tap “copy” before it gets unselected. This is a problem because you can’t edit your old posts. If you see a typo after posting, you have to copy and create a new post to fix it.

Update is horrible.. Horrible update. Previously listed important information under the stock chart. Now it doesn’t even show the yield. I have to click into another page to see the yield. Also the days high and low is nowhere to be found. Yeah, I can look at the chart but it’s not as precise. Old app was great. Was one of the best finance apps. Just bring back the info under the stock. I mean no dividend yield? Why?? Come on guys. However the innovation score and significant developments are great additions to a stocks “homepage.” Some additions are helpful, just put back the same information as previously listed and keep the other updates.

iOS 16 issues. I recently upgraded to iOS 16 and use this app all the time. Since upgrading I notice the buttons under charts (1D, 5D, 1M, 6M, etc.) only work for the first few seconds when I open an individual stock. After the first couple seconds, I can’t change the time frame, click on the chart to open a detailed view or hit the little dashed square to open the detailed chart. This seems to only affect individual stocks because in Markets tab view I can change it whenever. Please fix this so I don’t have to close a stock and reopen it to change the time frame! I’ve tried deleting the app multiple times and reinstalling it, but it definitely seems like a bug. Thanks!

Recent changes not good. I have been using the app for years. The most recent changes have been very disappointing. The new sidebar view is not good. Would like an option to change it back. Today, the app opens, but several of my stocks shut down and close the app when I click on them. Not all of them, but several. The same issue happens on my iPhone, and both iPad minis. Very frustrated. Looking for an alternative app to monitor my portfolio.
