It is back. Just to update from all of the negative reviews. It seems they’ve fixed their issues with the data and the app gives accurate forecasts again. Glad to see since Corporate greed has ruined Surfline, and that same corporate greed has driven Surfline to buy out and kill off magic seaweed. SwellInfo always have more accurate forecasts to my local spot than either of the than Surfline and MSW, so glad to have this option back in action. (It’s been fixed for a year or so.)

Buggy and inconsistent. This app regularly fails to update the current conditions. Fix your issues, people paid money for this!

Flat Spell. This app was a great tool until it changed hands. Now it’s a joke. Do not purchase this useless piece of crap, it doesn’t provide any information that it once did. The only improvement I have found is the addition of the color gray. It’s sad.

June 2019. Something is wrong with App. Every spot I have is firing. Offshore winds and green when it’s not correct. I wish it were true. Anyone having same issue?

Crushing it. Usually the south is very accurate and helpful for surfers. Lately it has been crashing hopefully the developers will solve. Surfers don’t give up use the web site on safari

App acting up. App has been acting up and not syncing correctly. Please fix it. This app has been awesome for so long and now it’s not working.

Sad!. This as been my go to surf forecasting tool for many years. But, in the last month, it just quit working! Feels like they have decided to not support it and just let it die. I’m still hoping it will get fix. I guess it’s time to find a different App. I’ll miss this App!

Great app but please fix days. App is great and most days is very accurate. Lately the days are not syncing up to what days it actually is at the time. Please fix and it will be five stars!!!

App is broken. They stopped updating the app. It’s Sunday and they claim it’s Tuesday on the app. The waves currently are 2-3+ and on the app it says “none”. I’ve tried to redownload and refresh but nothing seems to fix it. Waste of my $5.99. Very disappointed.

What happened?. This app used to be great, my go to for surf forecasting. Recently the wind speeds have stopped showing up and the data seems to be incorrect. Are they just letting this app die off? For new users, I would not recommend spending any money on this unless they fix it.

This app died. I’ve used this app for a few years and found it very useful and relatively accurate until around July of this year, 2019. Then it just stopped working all together. No idea what happened. Tried to reinstall several times, to no avail. Please fix this app!!!!!

Surf forever. From now until the seas dry up New Jersey will have a 3 foot swell @ 7 seconds. Their website is broken, their app is broken. Too bad, Swell Info used to be my go to site. Try something else.

App Permanently Broken. The app has officially stopped working and updating with forecasts at all. The Swell Info team has completely abandoned any updates to the app or their website which both do not deliver forecasts anymore. It’s too bad since we paid for this app and it was so much better than the Surfline app.

Not So Swell On The Info. I think that this app has been left for dead. Here on the East Coast, Ocean City has been 2-3 feet for the last two months. And everywhere else is this consistent as well! Amazing! Get Surfline. Much better.

Help a bro out. I’ve had the app for many years. Always worked for me and helped with narrowing down the surf forecast. Over the last few days I go to open the app but it goes to open and then completely shuts down and disappears. Wouldn’t be as mad if I got it for free, but tables turn when I paid for it and sent emails but got no support or contact back.

Was great... now failing. App won’t refresh anymore. Same as another review recently written. Hope this is fixed!

App hasn’t updated for a month.. Moving on. The tides are still automatically updating but no forecasts. Sorry folks. Was a good app and I always recommended it. No more.

Bummer. I used to live this app but something happened and it’s no longer updating. I hope they bring it back maybe an update is on the way. It’s such s nice quick easy way to check the forecast. I use other apps along with it but swell was such a nice easy snapshot for a first look at the upcoming week.

Out of sync. Bought this app a year or two ago. It was ok when I bought it now it won’t even change the days just always says that it’s Thursday and 3 feet .

App used to be best now dying. I agree with prior review, as of last few months app is dying. It’s Sunday and I can’t get forecast for Monday, Tuesday, or Weds. 2 weeks ago it claimed wind was zero mph for 10 days straight for entire east coast, that’s just not possible

Used to be my favorite...now it’s unusable. I paid for this app years ago. It truly was my favorite. Now it is the worst, days of the week are off, tides inaccurate, etc. very disappointing they “dropped the ball”.

Not working anymore. The days haven’t lined up all year. Major functionality issues and it doesn’t appear they are putting money into fixing it.

Terrible. Last few months the app has been freezing up and won’t refresh. It use to be reliable but no longer. I have removed the app in the past and downloaded again. Still no good. It was a waste of money!!

Are they going to fix the app?. It was a great app and then maybe a few months ago it just stopped syncing up? Kind of annoyed that it doesn’t work anymore. If they aren’t going to fix it then they should just remove it from the App Store. Just sayin.

Does not work. Simply does not work. Our beaches are closed down two swimmers because of a tropical storm swell of 10 feet. This app shows us with 1 foot and never changes it only says we have 1 foot of Surf for every day forever...

It’s back!?. I just checked the app on a whim. Appears to be updating again. I’m in Hawaii. Don’t know about other locations. I’m glad to see it come back to life.

Doesn’t work anymore. I have used this app for a long time and it was always great, this year it has not been accurate and some days it reported that the conditions were unknown, the last 3 weeks it has been showing the report for Thursday 3 weeks ago, this app does not work anymore.

Not working. My boyfriend and I are having the same problem. It won’t update the forecast. My boyfriend just paid for it again OMG!!! And still does not work.

Crashes Don’t Bother. This app used to be great, but now it crashes upon opening. It’s been responding like this for the past 6 months so I don’t expect them fixing the problem. Do not download this app!

Data is far to be accurate.. This app used to work good , but the last several months , they stopped updating the data. Now it’s just worthless, waste of time and money. Junk.

Hunh. Bought this app maybe 8 years ago, $5.99 I think, always was good. Past few months report was not synching up with the sessions I was having: e.g. report showed 2+ and green, okay grab the longboard, but out surfing 4-5+, like wish I had my shortboard. Now just this week, here it is a Saturday and report is showing Thursday, Hunh!!! Are they just going to let the app die? I deleted and reinstalled, didn’t fix it.

Choppy conditions. For whatever reason, financial, SWELLINFO took a totally swell, fantastic site and threw it in the trash and had the nerve to charge $2.99 to do so. The graph format for swell prediction is perfect; easy to read at a glance, the big BUT is, every day is predicted to be the same; 2-3 feet. Oh, we, Here on the east coast wish it would be so! Hope you guys at swellinfo get it straightened out soon.

Completely broken, probly sold to Surfline. App no longer works. no updates. No explanation. No reply from developer. Cannot recommend. Used to be great. But is 100% dead. Most likely sold out to Surfline so Surfline can capture the monthly subscription revenue. Or maybe it was a long term ploy all along...

Used to love this app... I loved this app for years, always gave me a heads up days in advance of a swell so I could plan on taking off week to head for a surf session. Since I live 1.5 hours from my favorite surf spot this was very convenient. For the last month the app is not working properly stating 3ft everyday. It hasn’t been updated in 3yrs. Hope the developers fix this but for now I can only give it 1 star

App has died. This app no longer works, I found another called Tides that has some info on it. Too bad they gave up this one, I paid for it some years ago.

Not recommended!. DO NOT BUY! It is not the same version, and does not have all the features available on the web site. The web site is still available. This makes me believe that this app is not the same as the original one. Since the original one lost the domain a few days ago, this is probably somebody who bought the domain; but does not include all the features the original one did. Not recommended!

Not functioning properly. Have had the app for years and had been satisfied with the overall experience. It was fairly accurate and told me what I needed to know (tide tines, forecasted every 3 hr increments, wind, etc). However, for the past several weeks/ months its been worthless. Doesn’t update, sync is off. I can no longer check multiple spots because it’s not showing anything. Look for another app unless they fix it pronto.

This WAS a great app. I used this more than Magicseaweed and Surfline. It was great. Then it stopped working about a month ago. Rumbling over the Internet said it’s dead. It’s too bad was very useful.

Help another bro out! Fix it!. Same problem as the previous review by similar title. Was one of the best wave forecast mobile apps and I have been using it for years. Not the most detailed but the most important info, fairly accurate and easy to navigate and compare spots. Now it’s broke. Please fix!

App doesn’t show correct data.. Don’t use this app. Totally stopped working in the past couple months. Same problem reported in other reviews. The developers just gave up.

Doesn’t work anymore. Such a bummer! I used this app for years and really appreciated it. Looks like I am not alone in experiencing that it won’t update anymore. Mine’s been stuck on the same forecast for a couple months. I keep trying to delete and re-load it. Still stuck. I really hope they keep this app going. It was nice. The website is MUCH better. The app only shows super basic information and you can’t see the maps! The basic info is available in many free apps so what’s the point? Why charge $2.99 for such a basic app? To me, what makes the Swellinfo site awesome is the swell maps — they need to be in the app!!!

What happened?. This was a great app but something has happened. We have 3 to 4 foot surf today and it’s showing ankle high or less. Has been doing this for a couple months. What’s up? It’s not updating correctly either.

App Crashes Now. Came to the review section to see if others were having the app crash when trying to log on. Been happening for the last two weeks. Other than that, really quick and accurate way to get data and compare spots. Needs a more complete update for the future for it to be worth the money.

Gone. Surfline bought out SwellInfo just recently and shut the app down. So guess were screwed Maybe they will get their act together and offer another tapp

Not accurate and doesn’t show forecast. Had free version for years and was great. Bout 6 months to a year ago it went dead. Update time is set to East Coast :-(. Overall a decent App but it seems to be set to East Coast time. I live in CA and by 3pm I can longer see the current day. I would rather see the current day's info for a few more hours (to see if it's worth heading to the beach) than to see the most up-to-date info for the rest of the week at, say, 3:30pm when there are still a few more hours of daylight. I can wait for the up-to-date info for the rest of the week until after sundown. I have mentioned this multiple times to Swell Info Support but they did not respond. Not cool since the App isn't free. West Coast users should email them and maybe then they will change the update time.

This app is no longer actually working. I agree with the 6/29 review. Giving up now. It used to be excellent.

No longer works for NY and NJ.. It used to work fairly well, but as of Spring 2019, in my region, there is no wind speed, or any response from the developer.

Used to be good.. Waste of money. Inaccurate and info won’t load so it stays a week behind. Used to be my go to app for checking the waves. Save your money and use MSW. So disappointed.

Accurate & reliable but far cry from the site. The site has amazing charts and graphs and forecasts. Really good. This app, though nice, doesn't give you optional ways to view the data. It's just blue, red, or green days. Pretty basic. For $3? Hate to say, doesn't seem worth that. Also considering you can only have five "favorite" spots, we're talking MAYBE $1.99 (what makes five the magic number? Magic Seaweed and Surfline both have way more). Something nice, however, is the accuracy; they really have that dialed. Maybe that's why I would stil recommend the app. I am happy to do my part to support surf-related endeavors, though I have to say buying this app feels "generous" on my part. P.S. Lastly, to swell info folks, I'd have gladly paid $5 or even $7 if this app was as kickin' as your site.
