Simply beautiful. As a happy owner of GuitarToolkit I've been wanting this since it was released, but hesitated because of the price. Too bad I did, because this app is simply awesome. Beautifully laid out, and unbelievably useful for learning new songs. I think this app will actually influence my playing far more than GuitarToolkit. Would love a few things, and I'm confident in the developers that they will deliver over time: 1. Include ChordPro format (with lyrics), and if so, a transposer. 2. Introduce edit capability (might be tough but with so many inaccurate tabs is important) 3. Allow the metronome to keep running after the song is done (useful for practicing at slow speeds). As it is now I have to move over to GuitarTookit to use its metronome when I'm looping through a new song. 4. Seems as if the instruments for each song come along with the power tab file. Please introduce an option to select from TabToolkit built-ins with higher quality (like the nice sounds in GT!).

Excellent!. Previous reviews say this app is just to get you to buy tabs, but this is not true! It is incredibly easy to add tabs from other sources. You can add Guitar Pro and other "rich" tabs, PDF, or even just plain text -- this is one of the best features of the app! Overall it is a fantastic way to learn new songs and keep my song book organized. Things that could be better: 1. The selection of tabs in the Agile tab store is pathetic. I'd happily pay 99 cents for a good quality tab, but there is nothing there I want; 2. It would be really nice to have better organization of tabs I've added, and to have syncing between multiple devices. But this app is worth far more than they charge and a far better value than Sonsterr or the various confusing UG apps, which make you pay a subscription fee.

Good app, it can be greater. I like the app a lot. However, an update with a better variety of music in the Tab store would be great!

The reason i bought an iPad!. This app is the reason I got an iPad. Being able to carry around and use all of the tabs I create in GP5, in my iPad is just amazing to me. This is what sold me on the iPad idea. Great app, and a great interface. Uploading is a snap, adjusting track and instrument levels is very easy. Just a great tool for tech savvy musicians. One thing I would like to see is the ability to edit tabs and music, but I would think the developers have no choice in that matter, unless they went with a certain format of tabs, and that wouldn't be to convenient. But if they could find a way, this would be the app to end all apps for me. I would never use anything else ever again. Thanks for such a great app!

Business as usually, 99 cent per song, you find out about it after the download.. 99 cent per score, it adds up, ain't nickels and dimes. You think there would be some group bundle deal. Deleting this app, looking for some desktop software where the over all price is better. You know if you purchased printed material there is a cost for printing, storage, distributing it, middle man retail cost, you got to like gouging prices on Ebook, app Newpapers, app comics, these people are unbelievable over pricing these and laughing. Apple seems to have self appointed themselves the morality police, they seem to have no problem of not having a policy posted up front, before you download an app, it is a pay as you go, this one is the worst. How about 25 songs for 5 bucks. You really want to do business with a app company like this? I am starting to regret doing business with Apple.

Reads Guitar Pro. If you don't give this 5 stars I have no idea what you want out of life. Seriously. Playing guitar for 30 years teach as well. Get my tabs from Ultimate Guitar TAB. This is a breeze to use slick smooth graceful intuitive. As good or better than native iphone app. Reads, plays donwloads tabs, takes you too and from webiste to download which is more than I can say for most other apps that kick you safari and your out of the app with no way back. Woth the price. You can slow down songs go landscape, rock out no worries getting this! - Dave

Worthless. This app is completely unnecessary. The website claims that it will view text tab file formats. The only thing it does is display the text file as a *text file*. You probably already have many ways of doing this, and there are *many* other apps for reading rich formats. If you’re trying to find a good app for viewing text tab files on your iPad or iPhone, look elsewhere.

Good for viewing tabs on iPad. If you have an iPad, Tab Toolkit is a good app for viewing any of the enormous wealth of completely free guitar pro tabs out there. You can download tabs directly from the net (just google for "free guitar pro tabs" there are plenty of sites). In earlier incarnations of Tab Toolkit, I had trouble with power-tab format files, but guitar pro format seems to work just fine, with minor caveats. Playback works for very simple scores. But when notation gets complex (e.g. repeats ), the playback makes mistakes. This is probably dependent on the format of tab being played. I have not purchased any of the tabs in the store, but I expect they probably play back more accurately. The store selection feels limited and stocked with primarily pop and rock.

Sound is irritating. Really only works if you purchase tab from ta toolkit. Poor selection of available songs. You can down load tab from the internet how ever it is hard to do and why bother? Just use your web browser to view it

Best App for advancing guitarists, PERIOD. On my iPhone, this was one of my favorites. On my iPad, it has become the guitar app to equal; because it W'ONT BE BEAT! The intelligence, utility, & aesthetics of this app's GUI can't be overstated. The beauty & clarity of the TabToolkit iPad version make this a major music education app that's fun to use & informative; whether you're a rank beginner or a working pro. MEGA KUDOS to Agile Partners for being extraordinarily ethical & generous in providing this as a FREE UPDATE. If they had charged $4.50 for the upgrade, I would have paid without complaint; it's that good! The current trend of developers charging repeat full price for "HD" versions with LITTLE TO NO NEW FEATURES is SCANDALOUS. Agile Partners are my APP DEVELOPER HEROES! If you're into beats & experimental sounds, check out their other awesome music app Star6

Best Tab and Notation App Available!. Agile Partners makes the best guitar apps available, bar none! And it is the best supported app on my devices! TabToolkit is the best guitar tab app available! Tab, notation and fingerboard display is the best available, and I have most all of them. iPad version gives you a nice multi line view of what is coming. The A/B looping lets you repeat a section, important for difficult, fast sections. It has a metronome, essential for the serious player. It has all kinds of tracks. You can still surf the web for tabs, but the best part for me is their ever growing tab store. You don't have to spend valuable playing time sorting out poor quality tabs.

Unsupported. It looks like the app is no longer supported and hasn’t been updated in years. It’s basically useless now.

Don’t read the negative reviews. This software is awesome!. It went on sale for a dollar and I purchased it regardless of the reviews. Once I had a chance to use it I found it to be the best pro tab software available. It crashes now and then but honestly I don’t mind. It has so many features including speed, instrument volumes and scrolling directions that I overlook the occasional bug. It has a tab store where you can purchase songs for a dollar. However, you can also load them into the app from the various other website that offer them. I found the purchased songs to be of higher quality. If you play any instrument: piano, guitar, drums, bass…. you owe it to yourself to get this app.

Love it!!!. This thing is the best way to store and organize tabs on your Iphone or Ipod Touch!!! The interface is simple to navigate and works horizontally or vertically. Of course I would expect this program to support Guitar Pro & Power Tabs, which of course sound amazing as is, but it also supports PDF and regular text! Has a built in web feature that allows you to download Guitar and Power tabs and regular text tabs straight to your Iphone from your Iphone. By default you get some pretty cool warm up and practice exercises included. It yet, does not support multi instrument playback support and I would like to see the notes name instead of a circle on the fretboard when playing a song but thats about it. Its a stable and lightweight program that does so much while being so simple!!!! Love it!

Really nice!. Update: just as I expected, the improvements keep coming. I'd still like to hear some better samples, but the addition of note bending, slides and improved editing has gone a long way to making this perfect. This is a great start, but needs a few more features and a little polish. The guitar sample sounds very cheesy. No support for note bending, slides etc.. It would be nice to be able do more editing than only alter the artist name and song title. It's currently very clumsy to change the tempo. This could be a great practice tool, if you could set up a loop so you can work on small sections. It would be nice to able to control how much of the fretboard is visible. (a larger, shorter fretboard would be easier to read quickly). Perhaps having the toolbar at the bottom hide while playing would be a more effective use of the screen real estate. On the other hand, what it does, it does very well. Importing songs is easy. The app is rock solid and smooth, and has a very useful display. Agile also publishes GuitarToolkit, which I've owned since the v1. It has been continuously updated and is my favorite and most often used music app. I'm hoping they'll give TabToolkit the same kind of attention.

Best app on my Ipod. This is by far the best app on my ipod. Everything about this app is amazing! From its ability to play guitar pro, power tab, etc; to its outstanding sound and performance. This app may seem like a lot at ten dollars. But i you think about it; guitar pro© cost sixty dollars on the computer. Yes, there are alternatives such as Tux©; but the sound is not that good. This app is great for any guitar player no matter how good or bad they are. This app on a one the five scale gets a six.... But itunes will only rate it five. But heres to you tab toolkit -sincerly (The Idea Sheep)

Needs looping/practice feature.. Great program if you just need a place to store/play guitar music. I bought hoping to use it to learn and practice. The feature I hoped was included but wasn't was a looping tool that would let you highlight a section of a song to loop over and over to play along till you get the section nailed down. In other apps you can also set the looping/practice feature to slowly increase the tempo each loop until the tempo reaches 100%. In this app you constantly have to reach down, tap to stop, scroll back to the start of the section you are working on, open the song properties box and change the tempo, and then press play again. Rinse and repeat 20 times per section. :(

essential tool for learning your favorite songs. I have owned this great piece of software since the first version, and as a beginner guitar player, it has helped me immensely in exploring songs by my favorite artists, and learning how to play great licks, riffs and whole songs. the interface is super-intutitive and all major functions are there that you would expect from a tablature app. i really like being able to slow down the song to better understand how certain song parts are played, and there is also a metronome built in to help you stay in rhythm. You can setup loops to practice certain song parts over and over until you master them. If you own AmpKit, you can put that app in multi-tasking mode and then hear yourself play along with the tabbed song in TabToolKit, which is seriously a killer feature. With the most recent version, these guys have also added a tab store, so no more looking for tabs on the Internet that may or may not be accurate! Big props to these guys for a great app that enjoys continued support and powerful updates that make it even more of a value. Buy without reservation.

Great app two suggestions. This app rules and has taken my playing to a whole different level. The two features from guitar pro that I use all the time that are not availible on the app are the loop feature where you can choose measures to loop so you can isolate the parts your having trouble with. The other is the 1/2 speed button. It is possible to play them at half speed by going in to the menu and selecting the playback tab and use the tempo wheel to slow it down then but when you want original tempo you have to go back into settings to the playback tab ect. It would be nice to have a 1/2 speed button somewhere on the screen while tab is playing that you can toggle back and forth. Other than that this is perfect!!! Keep the updates coming.

Still some features missin. I like tabtoolkit but there are some issues. Lack of support for GPX stinks but I did email the company and they said they are working on it. Release of GP6 occurred as they released the new version of tabtoolkit so it'll take a little bit of time for them to get that all set up. I would love to be able to import files via mail. Email yourself the file and have an option to open up the file with a different app, in this case TTK. Pages, numbers, good reader, etc all can do this and it would be awesome to be able to do it with TTK But other than that the app is great.

WAS Disappointed. How do I get the tab I paid for or get my money back? I had created an account during my first tab purchase and while my iTunes was charged the tab did not appear in tab toolkit. Wrote to support and they fixed the problem fast. Thanks Andrey.

Time for an update!. This is so sad. This was my go to tab app since it was first published. Now there are too many bugs and is not worth my patience. Stay away from buying this app unless they update it some time soon!!

Decent App. Been using the app for a few years and it's served my purpose! However the app could be improved by adding an adjustable scrolling function for the music!

Amazing.. It's just like having Guitar Pro in your pocket. The integration between actual GP tabs and TabToolKit is absolutely seamless and uploading tabs to it literally takes one second per tab. I've had every generation iPhone from 07 to the present time and purchased probably hundreds of apps in the years and this is the first one that has wowed me to the point of writing this. I Never write reviews, but this app truly deserves it. The price is certainly steep for an iPhone app, but it's completely worth every penny. It's extremely simple to use, yet very very powerful. The app is so well developed, it almost feels like it was made by Apple. It's just awesome. TabToolKit is the #1 tablature/sheet music app for the iPhone.

Outstanding. As someone who travels a lot, this a total life saver. I play all kinds of guitar and it's is great for all. As for the reviwer who complained about classical tabs, it is no different than other tabs, if you dowload a tab with wrong or missing notes it is not the apps fault. If any improvement was possible would like more realistic sounding instruments. I do realize this is for a portable device and space is of concern and having hundreds of megs in guitar samples are not practical. Anyway a MUST app for any guitarist. I didn't think was possible maker a tab program like this on this platform and have it be as useful as on a full size computer. $10 is a steal. AWESOME !!!!

Great App/Great People. The App is awesome. Sometimes I have so much fun downloading tabs that I forget that I now need to learn how to play the songs. It's so much better on an iPad as you can usually see the whole tab. To that end, I bought it when I only had an iPhone & really didn't want to re-download all the tabs to my new iPad. I emailed Agile about moving tabs from iPhone to iPad & got a personal response that took care of my issue in 5 minutes. They went above & beyond by walking me thru the steps to move tabs between computer, iPhone & iPad very easily. Thanks Agile & keep up the great work.

Winning. Tab Toolkit is outstanding. While I haven't tested competing apps, it's highly unlikely that there is better tab app currently on the app store. You have the sheet of music and as it plays, a vertical red line moves with the music and the contact points are displayed in real-time on the guitar neck below. You can manually move the bar at any time to play through sections at any speed. You can also adjust the global speed down to as low as 10%, so you can learn at your own pace. It's easily worth the price.

Waste of money!. They make you spend 3.99 to find out it doesn't come with any tabs worth the money. Hard to navigate and there aren't many tabs to offer.

Very cool. I've used power tab editor for year to learn new songs. I've seen this app before and always wanted to download it but thought $10 was always a little much. So when I saw it for $5 I couldn't resist. Also, the fact that it's a universal app makes the deal that much sweeter. All in all, the app works great. I was able to quickly transfer power tabs from my computer to my iPhone. Also I have the ability to select which guitar I want to follow and the interface is just so perfect. Five stars for this app easily.

Tremendous Way to Have Guitar Tablature on the Go. I downloaded Tab Toolkit after reading the great review on Fretbase. I love it. What is particularly impressive is the way the tab scrolls across the screen so that the size of your iPhone or iPod Touch doesn't seriously limit the tab-reading experience. Very cool to be able to upload your power tabs and have the built-in synthesizer actually play the song you are trying to play. I also like the built-in metronome and ability to see not only the tabs but the proper placement of your fingers on the fretboard. Even the built-in practice tabs are great! If you want an iPhone app. that will ensure you always have your guitar tabs with you, this is the one for you!

Best Power Tab player, period.. I have a large amount of Power Tab songs stored on my computer and would love to have a mobile player. This app is simply amazing. The layout and interface can't be much more cleaner or polished, and everything is laid out logically. You can wirelessly import all of your Power Tab files from your computer. The app shows you what to do, and could not have made it any easier. Transferred about 40ish songs to my iPad in about 20-30 seconds. Super simple. One of my favorite features was the ability to adjust the volumes for each instrument in the song. I'm a bass player and the bass is usually the quietest instrument in Power Tab songs. I was able to turn the lead guitars down to about 40% and the bass to 100% and really was able to hear it quite well. If you love using Power Tab songs on your computer and want something to use while mobile, this app is what you want.

Best tab app. Been using this app on my iPad for years. Don't know what I'd do without it

The app I've been waiting for. The title says it all. I've wanted "guitar pro mobile" for a loooooong time and now it's finally here!! Granted the app does not provide editing or creating support for tabs, but it appears that this is part of the agenda for the developers. For that reason, as well as some of the other obvious features that are confirmed for future updates, I give it this release five stars all the way. Here is a small list of I what i am looking forward to with this app: play all tracks simultaneously, edit and create tabs will full support for instruments, timing, and effects, export projects as gp5 files (probably needs licensing or something so I'll hold my breath on that one)

Still selling app but developer(s) not supporting fixing any reported bugs. Have loved this app am am extremely disappointed that the developer(s) don’t feel it is worth maintaining it (look and feel changes), and adding some cloud sync option so when there is a problem the user does not loose the 1000’s of song they have entered. Reported a huge bug in June 2021 and developer did not even have the courtesy to get back to me. I like this app better than the Guitar Pro iOS app but seems I might have to migrate to that app even though it is not as good because currently my TabToolkit app is not usable because it crashed and now it only comes up unside down so is unusable on an iPad with a keyboard. To fix problem I probably have to delete app and re-download it. Problem is I will loose the 1000 songs I have imported. Not sure how to recreate all the files and then each song that has a Ukulele as an instrument needs to be manually edited after download because Ukulele comes in as the wrong instrument (Spinosa). If developer reads this please consider maintaining this app.

Absolutely The Best!. I've been with this app for a long time and it keeps getting better. Not just a little update here and there, but major functional user-benefit updates. Now it will handle my GuitarPro 6 files, Amazing!! I have never had any poor experiences with this app, nor a crash. Those who are having troubles, I'm sure these developers are working on it and don't forget to reset after an install. Works like a charm. (previous) It's GuitarPro for the iPhone. The new improvements are amazing! Now with multitrack playback. The covenience of being able to take your GP files with you without lugging your computer around, downloading new files in app, and being able to slow down the playback speed make it a must for anyone that uses GuitarPro. Thank you developers! And those of you still debating, just get it, you won't regret it.

Pretty cool app so far. I have guitar pro 6 on my desktop, and also have the guitar pro app, which I gave a positive review. This app, tabtoolkit is a pretty nice app. It's a player. It has its own tab store, but it will also play any of my guitar pro files. I load them in via Dropbox. Compared to the guitar pro app it holds up quite nicely, and has more realistic sounds overall than the guitar pro app. It also looks nicer. One of the weaknesses I've found is with tremolo strumming. It "ignores" it, and just plays the notes regularly. The company itself must be pretty busy, I wrote with a question about tabtoolkit working with the iRig HD and didn't get a response. But so far so good. I hope they fix the tremolo strumming on both single notes and chords. One nice feature is with the drum tracks, you can watch the drum kit as its being played. Also, I love the slow down "wheel" 1 percent increments. A very useful feature.

5 Stars.. soon.. I think this is my first app review - absolutely my first for the iPad! This is a tremendously useful app. The more I've been using it, the more impressive it becomes. I've scanned in PDF's, imported Guitar Pro tabs - those were kind of tricky to find at first, but I managed to find some. Pasting in tabs works too. I do wish that they had a repository of tabs themselves, to access online without going to a zillion sites. Also, syncing tabs with the iPhone version would be sweet; if there is a way, I haven't found it. Those two reasons are why I don't give it five stars. Soon! Just not quite there, yet. Still, if you want your music on the go, instead of lugging around binders and loose sheet music, use this app! Highly recommended.

Excellent support!. UPDATE: I had one issue with the program that I describe below. I contacted support and they responded within a few hours. They issued an update that fixed the issue in less than a week. I am really loving this app! No more carrying around lots of heavy books, and the favorites feature makes it a lot easier to keep a quick list of tunes I am working on. --------------------------- The application works as advertised as far as displaying and playing tab files. It is very difficult to get files on to the iPad though. Downloading them one at a time from the built in web browser works, but uploading them to the built in web server is problematic. The first few dozen that are uploaded go well, but the the web server crashes every time you try to connect to it after that. I have a collection of a few hundred tabs that I would like to upload to the iPad. I am hopeful that an update will resolve this. It seems like they don't test updates very thoroughly....

Severly outdated app. App is outdated so i removed my previous review since i believe it may lead to buyers purchase the app that may not work properly on their current version of ios due to it not being optimized.

Honestly, the reason I own an iPod in the first place. This program has done wonders for helping me to learn new songs. Since I've gotten it, seen a genuine jump in my talent, and now that it has GuitarPro 6 support, there aren't many songs I don't have access to. Also, it's great for providing me with backing tracks -- all I have to do is mute the instrument I want to play, and then away I go. I can't recomment this app highly enough to anyone who wants an easy way to organize, read, and utilize tablature of all types. Also, as an awesome side note, the developer support for this is top notch. I emailed them with a question about how to better integrate this with their other exceptional app, Ampkit+, and I received a very helpful reply the very next day. I really can't applaud this app enough; it has truly revolutionized the way I learn the guitar, and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

Delivers the goods. This is a super tool. I was able to download a guitar tab pro file in about 10 seconds. It may take me longer to learn how to play it :-) As a beginner, I like having the collection of basic finger picking excercises and arpeggios right there too. Looks like there are more features to discover. The interface is a pleasure to use. The pain of the $9.99 price tag for me comes mostly from the sight of stacks of printed guitar tab books I've already shelled out for. I think having the tonal audio cue, the chord form, the meter, and the tab all there at once is a game changer for me. I just don't have the ear or experience to gather that all in one place without lessons. This is a more fun way to learn.

Best iPad app for drum practice, hands down.. I’ve tried pretty much every drum tab and sheet music app out there for iPad, and this is by far the best. The $0.99 tab store songs are great, though a bit dated (great for me, being a child of the 80s) - but keep in mind you can add your own tabs and sheet music at no cost. On that note, it renders and plays back Guitar Pro files better than Guitar Pro’s own iPad app! (I bought the GP app and still prefer TabToolkit for my GP drum tab files.) My only suggestion for improvement would be to lose the :3000 upload page and instead use the iTunes file manager thing (iTunes -> (ipad) -> Apps -> (click app) -> Manage Files, whatever that’s called), as it’s more convenient to add files to apps from another room if your iPad typically lives on a different floor than your computer. Agile Partners, keep up the great work, and aspiring musicians and hobbyists, give this a download.

Great App. Lots of cool stuff I'll never use. One feature missing.. I like to just bang around on the guitar, and this is working out great for my needs. I can go to the internet and download tabs. The app can also download files from my computer, though I haven't really tried that. Some of the features are probably just too advanced for me - I don't really need the capability to switch between tab format and musical notation. Or play the song in midi. The feature that I'd like to use more would be an easier way to transfer tabs between my Mac and my iPad. But I figure that's Apple's fault more than the developers. And the one feature that seems to be missing is the capability to edit the tab file once it's on my iPad. I want to format the riffs and lyrics to fit the screen, or to have them just the way *I* want to play them. I suppose this could be done on my computer, but that just seems like a long way to go around to get to where you're going. Still, a great way to be able to play songs around the campfire.

Finally found what I have been looking for in an app!. Finally, I have been in search of an app that could give me what I wanted and I have found the one. You guys have done a great job in giving us the features and simplicity that make an app a success in my book. I have been using a program on my pc but always wanted to something that offered me more and was portable; phone and iPad. I hope others can benefit from this and help their practices. Thanks for your hard work and great app!!

good app but I wish..... Good app but bummer to pay for each song. Wish app offered a list of free songs within the app and not have to look outside for them. Wish app offered more songs because it's song list is limited. I also wish app had the option to listen to a brief sample of each song while browsing for new stuff. And since I have to pay for each digital downloaded song, I wish app allows me to print them too. But I like using this app...all features are as described above. Tab Toolkit has the best version of "More than Words." Good stuff. Not a 5 star...but I wish it were.

Great Customer Support!. So I downloaded this app and was so excited to try it out. I play bass. I opened the app, downloaded some Guitar Pro tabs (google: guitar pro tabs in the in app browser and the first one that comes up is a great site, easy to download tabs), and went to check them out. Nothing for bass. I could turn off all the other tracks sounds and hear only bass but it would still show guitar tabs not bass. I emailed customer support and within an hour I received a response and instructions on how to show the bass tabs (click in instrument in lower left and click the instrument you want to show tabs for instead of just clicking on the volume or blue arrow), it worked! What makes this even more amazing is that it is a Sunday. Bradley emailed me back quickly on a Sunday! Amazing customer support, amazing app!

How to use this app for dummies xD. Hey, if you bough this app and you think it was a total waste of money.... Your wrong!! I will tell you exactly how to use this app so listen up! When I 1st bought this app I was able to download tabs easily from UG but lately they have been trying to get you to subscribe for 2.99$ a month. When your downloading songs only click on the ones that say "guitar pro" or "tab pro". It will take you to a page where it will offer you to subscribe... Scroll down and your should see something that says "download guitar pro" or something like that in bright red letters. Click on it and let it load. Then you are ready to rock & roll :p Now if you rated one star... Change it to 5 stars cuz this is the best app ever

hasn't been updated in years. Does not work with new versions of iOS and hasn't been updated in years. DO NOT BUY

perfect for the ipad. I didn't buy the ipad for this app, but this type of app is the reason I bought an ipad. I use Guitar Pro and my biggest gripe was always being tethered to a PC or laptop. With guitar on lap, trying to squeeze behind my desk or reaching around the guitar to operate the mouse, etc. With the ipad and this app, I can just place the ipad on my music stand and it's the same as using music sheets (but music sheets that play!) As far as the app is concerned it's great. Take tabs you find online (thousands of guitar pro tabs are available for those who look), and the import feature works great (hit a URL from your desktop to connect to your ipad and upload away). Tabs are organized nicely, you can edit name/artists from the app itself, the tabs play and sound great, nice dial for changing speed, etc. The only negative on the sound is the ipad volume is too low, but that's an ipad issue, not an app issue. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is the looping feature is missing (being able to highlite a section of music and repeat, for learning purposes). But I sent an email to them about this and within 15 minutes had a response that this was a feature that they are actively working on and hope to get into a future version. Once that feature is in place, the app becomes "perfect" in my mind and I can give it that last star.

GUITAR PRO SOFTWARE ON YOUR IPHONE!. This app is AMAZING! I've checked out a few of the other songbook apps that can store app but none have the functionality as this one. The polish is amazing in my opinion. Transferring files is as easy as going on your laptop or computer then downloading a guitar pro or copy/pasting a text tab and copying it into the transfer file website. The actual tabs themselves contain the different instruments to view (depending on the downloaded tab) and the UI is spectacular. Highly recommended for ANY musician who wants tabs on the go! I've never used guitar pro but i heard its $40 and this is only $10...well worth the price!

Really?. Overpriced, and when there's finally a notable update - it's you pushing .99c tabs at me? And I'm going to pay you for them because you formatted other people's (free) work to suit your own app?

Great APP. I love this app. It works perfectly well especially it now supports gp6 files and I edit and save using GP6 then take an iPad with me with all my music in it. Love the app. Great work guys.

Fell short. The slicks looked inviting, and the preloaded content is great, but the tools for managing online content haven't left me inspired. Hopefully this aspect of the app will improve over time. Not worth the price at this stage.

Amazing. This is hands down the best computer software I have ever used to learn guitar. LOVE IT

Polished. Very polished application, well worth the money. I've uploaded a handful of files to it with no problems.

Best. Ability to import own tabs in from of and no subscription is a win win

Not fit for market!. If you look at what this app does it's a great, simple idea that is an excellent addition to the Guitar Toolkit, which I have and love. Unfortunately while the pre-loaded demo tabs show that the app works fine, I have not been able to use either method provided to add new tabs. Direct downloads of Guitar Pro format tabs from the web, just spin for ages and then stop with no file added. Using the local port 3000 web server to upload from a laptop to the iPhone causes TabToolkit to quit (crash?) on the phone and sends a connection lost message to my MacBook. (And yes both devices were on the same wireless network) If you can't add new tabs this is a very expensive demo. It's useless! Don't buy until Agile Partners fix this. It should have never been released in its current condition!

Hdugud. Can't believe I paid for this....should put songs on for you automatically with the fretboard on downloaded songs....rip off should be 1.19

A probem. The ability to play tabbs on your ipod is great but the problem is that I don't have a wireless network so i can't upload any of my tabbs. It would be great if they could make it so that you could transfer tabbs using the cable. It also costs an awful lot of money (13 dollars) especially if you can't play any of your tabbs on it.

Still no printing?. Was waiting in anticipation for the next update..... But there is still no way to print tabs. So I've dropped my review another star. (down from 3) It's easy enough to add, and I don't know why you haven't done it yet. Instead you decided to add more ways to make money.

Great. great jobs guys 100%

Rubbish app. This app is rubbish. I wanted to be able to loop my music I already have on iPhone. Waste of money

okay but “download tabs” is broken. This app has potential to be really good, BUT, ... The tab store is very limited and quite expensive compared to other options. The “download tabs” via web browser function is broken. When Googling it will download non-existant tabs, named f_1, f_2, …. If I try to download a Guitar Pro tab from my DropBox, TabToolKit refuses to do it. If you try to download a Guitar Pro tab from ulimate-guitar.com it works fine as long as you don’t have the Ultimate Guitar app installed. If installed, the browser will open that app rather than giving the file to TabToolKit. The “download tabs” feature also has some annoying user interface design warts, even when it does work. TabToolKit would be a great app if only I could easily get tabs into it.

Good. Nice app. Good on the go. Need to be able to play more then one instrument at a time and a realistic sound engine like GP5.

Editing?. This is my favourite app but can agile update so we can edit guitar pro and power tab files?

Two big thumbs up. This is an extraordinary app - simply wonderful and very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Yes it does take a couple of attempts to understand exactly what types of tab can be downloaded as playable content, and this might be improved by the developers by the provision of a detailed step by step you.tube video. But once mastered you have a choice of about 300,000 songs each of which can be placed on the iPad within less than a minute. Two big thumbs up from me - worth every cent.

Great App. this app is great. is has everything any guitarist would want. i use to have guitar pro but i accidentally deleted it but now i can use this. worth the money and easy to use

Its a mobile Guitar Pro. I use this App in conjunction with Guitar Pro. The Best thing about this App Is that if you already use & love Guitar Pro, you can take it on the road!!! It won’t replace Guitar Pro, but if you’re learning a new song & you’re not at your computer, it’s fantastic! The only downside to this App is that I can’t seem to find a manual for it. It took me a while to figure out how to transfer G.P tabs on to My iPhone. The Developers web site doesn’t have much other than brief descriptions of features & screen shots. But other than this small matter, this is definitely worth the money.

Excellent. I've got Guitar Toolkit, Ampkit and now TabToolkit kit, so Agile Partners are doing something right.

Great App with one thing missing. And that thing is FIle Sharing intergration. With file sharing through iTunes this app would be a 5 star app

Piano or Guitar players, buy now!!. If you play guitar or piano, it is great if you download the Guitar Pro files, you can see a fretboard or keyboard at the bottom of the screen while it plays back the song and scrolls through it. You can also slow down or speed up the song and add a metronome and do a lot of other things. It is also great for sorting all your sheet music in PDF format. Instead of having stacks of paper you can just have one iPad sitting at your piano. I hope they somehow let you play Finale Notepad files on this app eventually. It's great for any musician, just buy it, you won't regret it.

Fantastic app. Absolutely brilliant app that enables me to learn how play my favourite songs on my keyboard easily without having to read music notation.. I also use it with GarageBand as well, that way I can recreate my favourite songs in garageband while learning to play all the virtual instruments. A must have app for any guitarist, keyboard/pianist or drummer which is also perfect for beginners who want to quickly and easily learn how to play their favourite songs.

Drummer. Not Happy! Paid for the app then discover tabs cost $1.29 each, needs a leaf taken out of the Ultimate Guitar Page.

Surprisingly good. I bought this app before reading any reviews for or against (silly I know, but it paid off!) and I was pleasently surprised. Does everthing I want it to!

Worth it!!. Definately worth it!!!

Review. Alright app, only downloads tabs from certain sites, but definately not worth $13, regret buying

You don't have to buy tabs! But u can.... Some reviews here seem to be of the mistaken, yes mistaken, belief that once you buy this app you also need to buy tabs from the tab toolkit tab store. Those people need to dig a little more before posting erroneous reviews. The fact is, you CAN buy tabs if you want, from an in-app store that's been added but there's nothing that says you have to. You can still use the inbuilt web browser to find free tabs on the net just like you ALWAYS could. The tab store is an added OPTION. I really wish people would criticize apps legitimately instead of showing their own inability to be thorough since there are enough apps out there that do need it. This ain't one of them! I've had it for a while and the developers have continued to update it and make it better over the years. It's solid, stable and I use my iPad all the time to learn tabs now. Much better than a desktop when you can put the iPad on a stand. Keep up the good work!

Excellent, worth the cash!. Awesome app! It brings all the goodness of Guitar Pro files right to the iPhone. Slick presentation, the wireless file transfer is effortless, it's just a great way to carry tonnes of tabs around and hear them play! My only suggestion would be to scale the fretboard up in size for songs that don't use 20+ frets. Good work!

TabToolkit Best App of All Time!!!. Why would I title my review with a line like that... Well I can't think of a bigger compliment than that. I am a guitar teacher so I may be biased and have vested interest in a product like this but after downloading stacks of music, drum and guitar apps, tuner apps and multi track apps - this is by far the most useful. I am an avid Guitar Pro 5 user and was considering purchasing one of those mini laptops to take with me - not any more!!! This app can load Guitar Pro 3, 4 and 5 files with ease. This morning at work, I was doing my ritualistic check for app updates and then, up pops TabToolkit with a MAMMOTH Guiness Book of Records update now providing multiple instrument playback along with many other goodies. So... I got home at wirelessly loaded 340 Guitar Pro files onto my iPhone from the laptop, and I'm now a very hapy chappy. Thanks team at Agile Partners for a brilliant app and it has made we want to buy GuitarToolkit now. Damian from Perth, Western Australia.

Awesome App. If you like to play the guitar or piano this is an awesome app and i would highly recommend it! The built in browser for searching the internet and downloading tabs is great! Keep up the awesome work guys! This is officially my favorite app!

GREAT. GREAT APP helpful when u need to remember part of a song would be better if you could play multiple instruments at the same time like you can with GP5

ajs. awesome app exactly what i was looking for great job worth the money

Great!!!. Great, use it all the time.

Useless. Don't waste your money. Progression is better. Hasn't been updated for two years. No chord diagrams. Useless. New Tabs never updated. Very disappointed. Don't see any updates for two years.

Great. I've been waiting for an app like this, and it has finally arrived

Awesome. This is the most expensive app I've paid for, but it was worth supporting the devs IMO. Incredibly handy to have tabs with you all the time in such a useable format. It's a shame that the tuner is a seperate $13 app. I don't think guitartoolkit is worth that much; it's an ok tuner, but not great. would have been far better as part of tabtoolkit, and then it could automatically give you the right tuning according to the tabs.

Awesome. I found out how awesome this app was but I know you can import text/PDF etc but ca. You please allow us to export as PDF thanks

As good as Guitar Toolkit. Fantastic. Works brilliantly. As a teacher I'm using this a lot and it's as good as the Mac version of Guitar Pro. Well done Agile!

Excellent. Everything I wanted in a tab app. A loop function with speed trainer like Guitar Pro has would be nice, but this is still great and well worth $13.

Brilliant!. I play guitar and drums and for a long time, I've used Guitar Pro to get printed score. The problem was that the printed sheets fall off the music stand all the time and are a pain to keep organized. Along comes the iPad and this wonderful application that reads GP files directly, plays them and scrolls the score at the same time. It's a simple matter to get on the web and find the GP file that you want, then download it directly to the iPad. For those reviewers that were "left cold" by that option, you can send them directly from your desktop via WiFi. It couldn't be simpler! Things I'd like to see: Integration with Dropbox would be awesome. Goodreader does this nicely. The Dropbox app supports partners. Support for the new version of Guitar Pro would be nice, but it's not mandatory. Scrolling the page from something other than the top line. The middle of the page perhaps? Get on board with. Guitar Pro and provide an editor. That would be fantastic! In summary - fills a need that was precisely the sort of thing that I bought the iPad for. Well done!

Amazing Must Have app. This is the best app I use everyday, I highly recommend it for beginners and pro's you too will enjoy all its features. One of the best things that help's me practice and I can't begin to list other amazing features this app has. Just buy it and you will soon see why. Best Buy!!

Tab Toolkit Nose Dive. This app started out to be fairly helpful but some how has degraded into a feeble attempt to sleeze more money out of their customers. There are so many other apps out there that do the same thing better and more honestly : Guitar Pro for one.

Genius. This is the very best app for learning guitar off a mobile platform, its built in web browser to download guitar tabs of sites like 911 makes in an invaluable companion.

Excellent App. Beautifully designed and easy to use. Adding guitar pro tabs is fast and simple - I've been using the built-in web browser to find tab files which are directly imported by downloading. Has good controls for moving around song parts while playing.

So close to Perfect. This app is by far the best tab app out there. There is only one thing it needs to be perfect. Autoscroll for Text files. Is can get a little annoying having to manually scroll halfway through a piece. With this added in a future update, it would be perfect!!!

Lyrics and chords?. I got this app to learn songs to play in a band. I sing and play rhythm guitar so need chords and lyrics. Before I bought the app I checked if it did these things and sure enough in screenshot 1 you can see lyrics and in screenshot 4 you can see chords. However none of the built in songs have either and I've yet to download a chord pro song through the clumsy web interface that does have them. Also the midi instrument sounds are inexcusably amateur. Give it a miss.

Not worth it !!!! Expensive $$$$$. Not only do you have to pay for the app you have to buy the tabs also, did not know how expensive playing guitar was

Really Cool App. Love this App! So good to have songs you have written in Guitar Pro 6 on your iPhone to show your band mates, and to download tabs from the web. However, I think you should be able to edit the notes and music in the App too, and the instrument sounds could sound more realistic like Guitar Pro 6.

Needs updates ASAP. It's a very good tool that needs updates, hasn't been updated in 2 years. It's been left for dead. - no iPhone 6 or higher screen support - tab web download is unstable, can't get tabs on.

Why are people so opposed to paying for things?. These tabs are well worth $0.99. They have full notation and tab for all instruments (even the flute in Stairway!). If you would prefer some hack job tab that's completely inaccurate, go somewhere else. These are professionally made and worth the price, plus you aren't violating copyright.

Amazing. This app is the best for tabs and stuff. All it needs for five stars is a bluetooth feature so that you can connect to other people, for example the rest of your band now that they are all connected when you are using guitar pro tabs the click of the play button will start all of the other ones connected to play at the same time, k there's my idea! Great app!

iCloud. Suggestion: Use iCloud to keep tab library in sync across multiple devices.

Garbage!. I can't believe this, you actually have to spend money on tabs?? What a joke. First off this app was in the $5-$10 range when first purchased and was only mildly useful, and now it's $1 per tab!??! You can be sure you won't be seeing another penny from me and I strongly suggest everyone do the same. If you have a game console go buy rocksmith. It's this app X1000 with tons of songs to learn and more to download that are the same price as this. Truly dissapointed, you guys are stunting the growth of thousands of budding guitar players

Great app!. This is a great app, I don't know what other people are upset about, they didn't take out the capability to download tabs for free when they put in the tab store. It's just optional. I personally don't use the store but i'm not complaining that they added the option in. The only thing I'd like to see is editing capability. Other then that great app! Had this app for more then 3 years, and was worth the $10 charge back then and still now!

You gotta get this app!. Most amazing tab playing software on the i-device. It plays all formats and makes it so easy to add tabs from your computer or even download them right to your device. 100% worth the price! If you play with tabs, you should have this. Thanks so much!

Slick, but incomplete. I have three tab apps on iPad, and this one is the slickest by far WITH Guitar Pro tab files (various versions supported). The score scrolls (speed variable) with the notes highlighted on the score, the notes appear in position on the fretboard or keyboard, plays multiple tracks/voices... very cool. The app supports uploading / downloading tab files from the computer. But Guitar World has not gone the whole way, and offered easy download from a library of free (nice!) or low-cost Guitar Pro tab files from its web site. You buy the expensive Tab Toolkit app, and you're soon wondering what to do with it! Searching on the web for tab files produces a few. I found just text-only files on Guitar World's web site, and for those this app offers NO BENEFIT AT ALL, save your money. Elsewhere on the web there are lots of promises of Guitar Pro tab files, but they seem to be offered the way free porn is offered (I hear!) ... lots of offers, not much given away. If you have a good library of Guitar Pro tab files already or know where to get one, or if you have Guitar Pro software and are willing to make your own tab files, buy the Tab Toolkit app, you'll be very pleased. Otherwise, save your money... within half an hour you'll find you have nothing to do with it!

Great. Thank you thank you thank you for fixing the download problem. I love this app, would give it 20* if I could. Highly recommended.

Great app!. It is awesome, it lets you play the tab and follow along with it

Amazing!!. This app is worth the money and has helped me progress a lot a quicker with my guitar! Thanks for the update! :)

5 Stars if you could select and loop a section. This was mentioned by couple others. It's almost exactly what I'm looking for; it just seems I should be able to select a few bars and just loop that section.

Well designed app, works very well. Very useful app. Does exactly what it should do: plays tabs at the speed you want, focusing on the instruments you want, with a loop feature to practice certain parts of a song. I did not buy any of their tabs. The feature to download and install tabs from any free tab web site works really well. Finally, the feature to mass-transfer tabs from your computer to the app over wifi (without iTunes) is great.

Intuitive to Use. My favorite guitar tab app by far. It's incredibly easy and intuitive to navigate, and the instrument sounds aren't bad either. The built-in metronome, master volume control and slow-down slider makes practising tabs a delight. The new A/B looping option just made it even better. We'll see how the tab store goes. Hopefully they'll offer bundles at a discounted price in the future.

Good app. Tab DL broken. I've used this app for years and it was an amazing app worth 5 stars and the price, but the dl browser is broken. Keeps saving random junk/ gibberish files constantly on any search engine and sites are incredibly slow to load. The actual program is good and previously could find any tab online easily (please fix this and return this app to its former 5 star glory). Sound is as good as any comparable program, touch controls are well done, can auto detect and save text tabs which is a brilliant feature and has many adjustment features for the player tab files. It is very comparable and very reminiscent to GP programs ive used through the years though has the failing of not being able to edit or create tabs.

Very Slow. Paid lots for this app and is very slow to search and download songs ... very disappointing ... not worth it.

Great App. This is a great app. I love it. It really helps me when I am learning songs. The download feature works awesome and I've had no problem downloading from my desktop. Keep up the great work.

Editing. I was hoping to get an editing feature where I can write music on my iphone then export it to my computer later. For $10 I sure as hell hope its comming soon. However the flow and sound of the app are great thats why im giving it 4 Stars.

Lol whut?. So this would be cool except you have to buy almost all the tabs. I'd rather just go online and get them for free. Each tab is a 99cents although sometimes they're free

Good but..... I used to love this app until something happened that made me unable to down guitar pro and power tab off of UG website. Also, it would be awesome if there was a looping function, instead of having to manually returning to what section you wanted to play every time. If the downloading is fixed I will love this app again. If the looping is added, i would thoroughly enjoy this app.

Amazing buttttt. Its perfect up untill a day or two ago when it stopped downloading from ultimate guitar... Please fix it i need to learn MORE..

Tis. Great app, though the ability to use it to write original tabs should definitely be in a future update. As it stands, it's great for beginners and pros alike. The ability to slow down the tempo makes learning a song easy. Also, being able to single out each instrument is a nice touch. Although some graphical updates should be considered, it's still a pretty decent learning tool. I wouldn't really recommend it for song writers, considering the lack of *gpx support (nice to hear theres plans for it though), as well as the lack of it's own in app tab, chord, or sheet music writer. Those drawbacks alone make the price tag a little steep, still it is a good app for anyone wanting to learn new songs (or for anyone who has GP5). Keep on trucking guys, I look forward to any future updates!

Amazing app. Just a suggestion, I think this would also be cool if you could email, or print via bluetooth or something, so if we wanted, we could just get the sheet music. :) thanks, love the app.

Terrible. This app is awful. Only has a handful of songs. You can upload a few of the more popular songs to work with. More of the underground artist where you cannot find tabs online it will just say error or could not be found. Any song you want music or tab for you have to pay an additional fee for (around $2 a song). Most songs you can find tabs for free online. I regret the $4 i spent on this.

TabToolkit rocks out with it's **** out. Love this app (hate that I don't have an iPad for it but w/e). Downloading from in app doesn't work for me anymore, but I just transfer tabs from my pc with my wireless connection anyway. Would love to see a looping feature and maybe a way to change tunings. Great stuff though as is.

Great for what it is. This app needs to be updated badly. The download browser is slow, unresponsive and glitchy. Iphone 6 support needs to be added badly. However I found that the local ip download method works incredibly well and the actual tab viewer works amazingly. Some editing features would be a nice addition as well

Guitar pro for iPad !?!?. This app is amazing! You can download tabs very easily or move them right off your computer on to it. For those that don't know a how to use it just go to download hit the download button and the a webpage should open. Just type in ultimate-guitar and search the song you want click either one that is a guitar pro file or power tab and hit download it should open right up and you can start learning :)

Superb. I only wish I could write tab with it though. Definitely should be added as an update. Very great though.

Not worth $10.... I own this companies guitar tools app which is awesome so I bought this without hesitation. Now I wish I had my $10 back. What it does it does well, don't get me wrong. But it doesn't do much for $10. This should be a $3 or $4 app tops. I think ITunes should force apps over $4 to have a crippled trial version so you can really see what you're getting before you buy.

Unfortunate tab store update.. This App was fantastic until they started the tab store. You used to be able to get tabs from the web for free in-app but now you have to pay at their store for lower quality tabs.. DON'T BUY unless you already own guitarpro/powertab and have a collection of tabs to upload.

Excellent. Great app. First rate customer support. Highly recommended!!!

AWESOME!. This app is awesome. It can read GP5. you can upload from ethernet and you can upload from your computer to your Ipod its wonderful

This app doesn’t work on iPhone X. Stunned that’s it’s even in the App Store - it won’t even open on my iPhone and repeated messages to the developer on their website have just been ignored. Just wish I could give it 0 stars

Used to be a great app. It would seem as though the developers have abandoned this app. There have been no updates in about 2 years. The browser doesn't run as well as it used to. It is very slow. Save your money for an app that will be supported in the future - and that runs well on IOS 9. I've given it 3 stars because the tab player still seems to work well. However, getting new tabs is difficult due to the extremely slow browser. Please update it.

Awesome app, Awesome support. I LOVE this app. This app is exactly what i was looking for. I aplaud you guys for a job well done. Thanks a lot for the last fix. Super!!. Thanks!

Amazing. Very good app (best virtual sheet music on iPhone), very slick and functional. Almost no bugs at all; this app is great for any experienced guitar player.

Awesome new features!. At last they added the loop function. Im not Sure about the tab store, but you can still download tabs directly from ultimate guitar for free, so I guess that if I can't find a tab there or if it's poorly made, I could buy one on the store.

Fantastic. Highly recommended if you are looking for an on-the-fly tab program. Works flawlessly on iPhone 4 and I was surprised by the amount of control over volume levels and sound types.

Good app. Good app but I'm a idiot and thought you could write tabs on your iPod

&$@&'n sweet app. Brilliant is all I gotta say. You can DL power or guitar pro tabs. You can listen to individual tracks ( guitar, vocals, etc ) or the whole band. Varying formats to view the music is cool. Will give a five star rating when there is a loop function added. Repeatedly sliding bar back to start of section that I'm learning gets rather annoying. The browser is lite on any frills but it works unlike other apps that need u to use the computer. Great for musicians on the go. My rating went down from four stars because still no loop function.

Brilliant. The best iPad or iPod app I've bought. Well worth the money if you play guitar

Bug fix needed. Generally have loved this app but have been having a problem when I go to download some tab from a tab website. As soon as I land on a website the app randomly gives me a “Successfully downloaded and installed message” labeling this new ‘tab’ f_##. When I then go to open this new tab it’s gibberish. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem remains. This will become a deal breaker and will result in me no longer using this app and no longer recommending it. Bug fix please.

Rip off. Paid for this when all tabs were included, now I have to pay more to see what used to be free??? Or really what I paid for initially!!!

Only a tab reader. This is a beautiful and functional tab reader but it would be SO much better with the ability to create and save your own tabs. I'm surprised no one has made something like that, and these guys would do the best job of it.

Excellent App for a beginner. I got this app hoping to learning to better play my acoustic guitar. I play piano and synths since many years, but I am a beginner on the guitar, so my review only targets my level. The User interface is very clean, simple and well designed. I did not experienced any bugs and every file loaded as expected. Being able to see every single note assigned to each string and controlling the speed of the song while playing it cannot be more valuable than this. And for portability, this is definetely a must when you are on a trip or simply moving around the house. I contacted the seller to ask him a couple of questions and his answer came very fast and he had a super friendly attitude and willingness to help. Excellent support. Do not expect the app to sound like a $500 or more pro sampler or softsynth. I never expected it to sound like that, but I expected it instead to allow me to better learn and play guitar without a teacher, and it really shines on that. Very good buy, especially for the price. I used to carry around a lot of different sheets and having trouble findingh chord charts all the time, etc. I recommend this App to anyone willing to self-train, learn and I assume that, for intermediate and pro guitar players out there, that it has something of value for them too, either improving their skills or watching how others are playing some songs :-) I do not work for this company. I have a full time job in the software field but I just wanted to provide my honest review. Best Regards from Montreal.

Great app but a little short. As other reviewers have noted, this is the best app available for Guitar Pro tabs, but lacking with text tabs. Worth the money if you spend the time to find Guitar Pro tabs.

Amazing.. This is by far the best tab reader on the iPhone. It's my favourite music app by far. It's so easy to use, it does what it's suppose to, the UI is nice and clean. Well worth $10.

Don't buy. It's pointless. I bought this app before they came out with the store. Now you have to buy all tabs. Big surprise... Ppl desperate to line their pockets with cash. While not as functional, the ultimate guitar app still provides tabs which do NOT have to be purchased.

Ok... The app needs the ability to create tabs it'll be awesome

Trouble Connecting. At first I had trouble connecting to my computer to download files but that seems to have mysteriously resolved itself. It would be a better program if you could create your own songs right inside the program.

Amazing app, but missing.... Missing the ability to loop a section on playback! I can't believe it's not already included! In and out points and a loop button. I feel this is really essential for learning tough solo sections or any portion where you need to repeat playing for learning a section at a time. Because of the scrolling mechanism you need a way to hop back to the beginning of a section for practice without taking you hands off the guitar and fumbling back through the tab manually. Other than that, so far I'm completely blown away by this app. I had a hard time choosing between this and the cheaper tab app would good ratings, but as I looked into it, this had so many cooler features. I had never used the power tab before and I am blown away. Holy crap it's amazing. Downloading new tabs right from the app browser is great! Thanks! And please add in/out points and playback looping!

Glorious. This app is The best! To add to what one reviewer said about downloading, make sure you create a login and password for Ultimate Guitar and then sign in. Then you can download all the guitar pro versions you want for free. The 2.99 a month fee is just to be able to play those files through ultimate guitar. But anyone who bought this app doesn't need to do that. This really is the best tab app I've ever seen. I expected it to be coming from the makers of guitar toolkit.

A Real Review. Okci don't know what everyone elses problem seems to be but let me actually tell you why you should buy this app. It is 50 dollars cheaper than guitar pro, and it supports guitar pro files. You can save any tab from your device, OR your computer, and it does it all for you. With the iPad you can put it on a freaking music stand and make it your music. For the price, if you so much as own any type of instrument, your an IDIOT not to buy this app. To the developer: though this app is FLAWLESS and amazing, one thing that could simply be added is a built in iPod. Having the guitar pro is great, but if I need to look at a regular text tab which even with this I sometimes do it is easier to have to not go back and forth.

Feature that could be added. This is a great app! But one thing that I noticed is that there is no way to change, this is hard to explain, how sometimes the tab is viewed with certain parts of the music sheet being squished, so some parts actually play through visually faster than others. Is there a way to turn this off so that the notes are spread evenly when playing the tab?

I love this app!!!. I was shopping for a good tab app for me and my band and finally decided on this one. At first I thought I had lost $10 because I didn't own Guitar pro or power tab editor(which is free but I didn't feel like jumping to my desktop every time I needed a tab) but you don't need it! Yes you heard me right. You can download the tab right in the app, no need for any other steps. Thank you so much for this app, it is worth every penny!!

Great App for practice and learning!. I've been taking lessons for a few years and this app is perfect for learning tough riffs or entire songs. The app really shines when you import tabs from Guitar Pro. The developers are really supportive of the community and continue increase the file support. I would recommend this to guitar players from novice to expert.

Amazing!!. This is an amazing app! If you are a guitar pro user this app is for you. You can transfer all your guitar pro docs to this and use it anywhere, and if your out with your band or just want to download a quick guitar pro file you can go right to google and search for the file and download it instantly!!! Worth every penny I love it!

This app is the best!!. I've been using this app for a few years now and I still love it!!!! For all the negative reviews saying it doesn't have enough songs, they don't know how to use this app. There is an in-app web browser and you can download whatever tabs you want. I personally download apps from the website ultimate-guitar and it works perfectly!

Still great but no new features. No crashing for me on the new update. However there is still no speed trainer and the Guitar Pro app just added the ability to write your own tab, two things customers have been asking for frequently for this app. This program is far superior and I hate to see it fall behind.

Fantastic and polished. I had to get this as soon as I read that it supported gpro tab and I really didn't expect the interface to be so smooth. Even sitting in front of my laptop I'd prefer this for playback over Guitar Pro. Don't hesitate to make this purchase! I don't know what else you could ask for out of a guitar tab app on iPhone short of editing/sequencing but this was well worth my $10

The Most Amazing Music App. This is by far the best music app on the iPad yet! It allows you to visit tab sites from an in-app web browser, download tabs (standard text or Guitar Pro!) and play them back and review them instantly. You can also upload them from your Mac or PC to your iPad via web browser. It handles all my Guitar Pro Tabs with ease, and has superb stability. Worth every penny! I would by this 10x over.

Wow. This app is amazing and the support is unbeatable. I received feedback almost instantly when I submitted my suggestions and not just an automated email telling me that my ideas are important and someone will get back to me. There are a few features that the app is missing, but they are on the way in one of the coming updates. Worth every penny!!!

Tab Store tab accuracy is great, loving this. The accuracy of the tabs in the Tab Store is way better than what you can download online. (But you can still download free stuff online if you want to, those features are still there in the app.) I'm personally glad to see that artists are getting paid when I buy tabs in the Tab Store. New features in this release are great also. Looks amazing on my iPad 3. A/B looping is so useful. New audio is also great.

Big thanks to the dev for adding support for iPad instead of making me rebuy. Most devs seem to be releasing HD versions of apps for the iPad, making users rebuy. I just wanted to thank the devs of TabToolkit for realizing we've already paid for all these features! As for the app itself - this and GuitarToolkit (same dev) are two things I use constantly while playing guitar. Well done.

Surprise!. I used this on my iPhone and enjoyed having access to music whenever and whereever I wanted. I now have an iPad and installed what I thought was the iPhone app only to discover that it was updated to a universal app. I was looking to see the little pixel double symbol and wondering why it looked SO nice on the iPad. *Smacks head* I can't wait to play around with it now. It's a great program that just got better. Thank you developers for my wonderful surprise.

Best. Best 10$ I've ever spent and if your complaining about having problems using the built in browser just use Safari ( just like you normally would) and go to download the tablature file and it will pop up and say "open in tab toolkit" and then works just like normal or using the old built in browser. Seriously I have no problems using it that way at all. Try it guys!!

Great app. This app does everything I could want; you can download guitar pro files and have it play them back with all kinds of options, or it will even detect that you are looking at a regular text tab in the built in browser and offer to download it for you. I didn't really know what to expect when I downloaded it, but it's turned out to be a really good app.

Perfect!. I was skeptical after having tried so many desktop applications before that do this kind of thing. But I took the risk and it was well worth it, clean interface and the ability to upload via your desktop is super easy! Thank you! If I had only one request it would be to have a piano sound when you have the keyboard view up, but it's a minor request at best.

Fix the bug!!!!!!. I've been using this app for about 6 months now. I've loved it up until the stupid bug with downloading the tabs. It says that the "connection has dropped". It would be great if it is fixed ASAP, but then again it took them forever just to get all the instruments to play together, so who knows how long it will take for them to fix this bug.

Awesome. This app is sick. I stopped playing guitar until I found this app. It also has excersizes and scales. U can find almost any tab you want and the interface is easy. Being able to hear the tune is awesome. A lot easier than reading tabs off paper and listening to a cd. An overall must buy for tab readers.

Thank you!!!. This app already was amazing but the developer even made it iPad compatible! Not like those other crooks selling the same thing again in HD. This app and an iPad is a must have for any musician who wants to learn complex arrangements or even beginners wanting to cover their favorite tunes! If I had only this app on my iPad, (and beat maker/ multitrack 16 for composing) it would be well worth the money

Killer App!. If you are a musician and pride yourself on learning new material and techniques, this is a must have. It is beautifully designed, updated regularly with new features and a joy to use. The latest update 1.1 with multiple tracks available for simultaneous play truly males this everybit the rival of a desktop application. Great app and great value....just buy it!

Awesome app. I honestly don't know how anyone could give this app a bad rating... It works very well... The only thing I can think of is that the people writing bad reviews know very little about guitar or guitar pro... For those that do know... Guitar pro is a 50 dollar program, and this app on my iPhone 3g runs better than the guitar pro I had on my laptop, no joke... For people who want to have instructional tabs and sheet music for there favorite songs, where ever you go this app is amazing.

Works exactly as advertised. If you want tabs from UG, sign up for free (easiest from within the app) and just google up "guitar pro tab" for whatever song you are looking for. This app works wonderfully, you have access to all the tabbed in instruments and can easily see/hear the timing. Anyways, for a 1 time fee of 5 bucks you cant go wrong. Highly recommended.

I am so happy. I'm so happy that they finally released a app that is so incredibly wounderful. I've alway wanted to have a app like this it is perfect for lookin at tabs on the go. When I'm playin with my bandmate I'm now using this app right by my side. Thus is the best app out there for any guitar player. I'm now going to be downloading a pantera tab from my computer onto this. Can't wait! To see the result.

What!?. I paid $10 for this, and now it's free, but pushes in app purchases. Oh well. It's well-executed and still offers free tab downloading inside the app (though it's obviously less accentuated in the UI now) for those not willing to cough up a buck a piece for their convenient (better organized) in-app store. Seems like a very fair compromise and a great deal for newcomers. Free app plus free tabs if you want to put in the effort to find them, or free app plus $1 downloads if you feel lazy. Incredible value.

Best app EVER. I have over 60 apps on my itouch and this is the only one I have ever found the need to write a review on. It is a must have for any guitar player. Runs smooth as butter and does everything I could ever have wanted. Downloading tabs is quick and simple and learning to play them is even easier. My only question is why isn't it higher on the top apps list?

Few slight issues. This is a great app except for a few things. One, there is no way to play all the istruments together; two, there should be a way to change the instrument playing; and three, there needs to be a way to edit the tablature. Other than that, this is a great app. Maybe not worth the ten dollars, but if your willing to give up those three minor issues, this is your most useful to tool for getting tab on the fly.

I can't believe it's finally here!!. I have been waiting for a guitar-pro-on-the-go app like this app since the iPhone came out with the AppStore! Ican't believe it's been here and I didn't know... There are some things I would like to see added on here, like full band playback and the ability to mute and solo certain tracks, as well as ability to show bends, vibratos, etc. Because they are omitted in the iphone even if they are on the tab, but the interface is great, and i'm just happy I can take my tabs with me now... This is awesome I can't wait for future updates

Sorta ok. On appearance, this looked like it would be an extremely useful app for downloading and using guitar tabs for learning new pieces. I especially like the idea of having both the score and tab and being able to play the piece..that alone is worth the $9.99. I usually just save tabs to the notepad app. The problem is...and it could simply be that I'm too impatient--there does not seem to be an obvious way to actually download pro-tab files using the app. The help and info pages seem to suggest that one can do just this...but I couldnt figure it out....so caveat emptor! I'll go back to using the FREE notepad app.

Solid app. Being able to download and play Guitar Pro files on my phone is great. The layout works surprisingly well considering the amount that has to be packed into a tiny iPhone screen. However, one of the biggest reasons that Guitar Pro files are so effective for music students is that they allow you to loop sections in whatever speed you want. You can have the speed increment by X bpm for every loop. Thus app lacks the looping feature entirely. Didn't know that before I bought it.

Fantastic ! B). This app is amazing. Its one of the best ways to learn guitar. Especially if your a visual learner like me. I've been teaching myself for about 3 years and it really hasn't taken me anywhere but since I got this app I've been rockin out and have had a few band offers. Ftw right? A def buy if you really wanna be a beast at guitar. Oh and btw, this app would be killer if you could tab out your own stuff and then you could post it online and share.

Very close to flawless. I am floored by how good this app is. As I clicked through it the first time I kept saying to myself 'well.. it probably can't do this...' but it kept doing that! I've been in computers, to include QA and software for 18yrs and this is one of the very few apps where I admire the features layout and functionality, every one. Bravo!

Good, but..... As a total novice I found this program to be extremely helpful with practice and playing music. However, the lack of sites that seem to work is very frustrating. I don't use a home PC and have found few places in which to download music. A few site recommendations with the program would be nice. 4 stars because it is a awesome program, 5 if they can make it a bit more convienent for downloading music.

Absolutely amazing. I used to avoid those Guitar Pro tabs, but this app makes them gold! And if the song is too obscure to have a pro tab the app automatically recognizes the text of standard tabs on a regular website and gives you a one button solution to add it to your library. this is a game changer. No more spiral bound portfolios with pages flying everywhere. If you play guitar and have an iPad buy this app.

Awesome. Grab some tabs (and do a little homework on google to find GOOD ones) and this app will make you a better player. It's that good. It's like packing a guitar instructer in your pocket with you at all times for mastering your favorite songs. It won't teach you theory or scales (which you need) but it can visually breakdown songs to help things make sense. Just buy it. Props to the developers!!

BEST APP EVER. This Is really the best app for guitar tabs there is. I would searously get the app right away when any of you have the money. It works with guitar pro tabs and you don't even have to spend $50 on guitar pro. It just let's you view then right away. If anyone out the is looking for a challenging song to learn on guitar type in "ever again" by as Eden burns. Please tell me what you think.

Worth every penny. This is easily the best $10 i have ever spent and its the reason i ever invested in an ipod to begin with. I own this and guitar pro and i use this one much more. The only problems are (as stated below) that there is no create a tab feature and you cant alternate tune the songs (for example playing a drop d song in c# sharp standard) but this app is much smoother than guitar pro and easier to use

Worth Your Hard Earned Money. I hesitated for weeks before buying... Yes it is expensive (for an iPhone app) but after using it for almost a week now I can see why. Clearly, a lot of hardwork, foresight and love went into creating this app. Plus, having this in my pocket has motivated me to practice much more often. I have learned several new piano and guitar tunes since downloadig it. I, like you, wish it were cheaper but some things worth having are not cheap. So if you play allot of music don't think twice.

Disappointed at the changes.. I've had this app for a long time, probably since the week the original version was introduced. I paid ten bucks for it, and generally it would take me about thirty apps to spend ten bucks. But this app was awesome. Somewhere along the updates they decided to not let us download tab anymore. That's not the app I paid ten bucks for. At first, we could actually download tab! Now this thing is of no help. Meh. Not sure what they charge now but I wish I had my ten bucks back, since it's not as great as it used to be.

I was skeptical, but WOW!. I thought you would have to have basically the entire Guitar Pro program (i.e., $40 worth of software) to be able to read Guitar Pro files. I was just sure that the images they were showing had to have some additional purchase(s) to be used. $10 is a lot for a straight tab app, but I bit the bullet and gave it a shot. Oh man, was I wrong. Big time. Along with Guitarist Reference, this is the best guitar app available. Combined, you can do whatever you want for guitar, on your iPhone. That rules. I would love to be able to create my own tabs (with the accompanying sheet music), in a future update. PLEASE! Then it would be 8 stars out of 5. Someone is going to have to step up big time, to top this app.

Amazing. Thank you so much Agile fir making this included with th iPhone version. It's fantastic. It's liking holding the future of sheet music in your hands. I almost cried over an arrangement of one of my favorite bands, able to hear all the instruments and switch between them with a touch while it plays. That is such a junk compared to simple paper or my bulky laptop. So well done. Now just make a ipad guitar pro & life is good

The Best App!. TabToolkit is the best one I have on my iPad. I no longer have to have dozens of music books. TabToolkit has allowed me to put all of my favorite music in one place. It also has the added bonus of playing guitar pro files. The author responds quickly to any questions that you may have. I am usually not one to write reviews, but this is one amazing product.

Great app.. Works smoothly. No bugs (yet). The transfer of tabs from computer to phone is incredibly quick. Something i didnt expect. Very helpful for trips and such. One thing that bugs me is only one track plays at a time so you cannot hear the rest of the song. The ability to play with an adjustable track is why i First bought guitar pro. I hope to see this function in the future.

Awesome. Really good application! Compatible with Power Tabs and importing them from the PC to iPad was completely easy and very fast. Just importing the tabs brings in all the information and the app sorts them by a variety of choices. It does separate the parts (guitar, bass, guitar 2, etc) on visibility and you can choose which one you want to view. Whats also cool is it shows you wherein the fretboard the notes are, so you can visualize how your fingers would move. Well worth the money!!

Amazing. This app is amazing, I was going to buy a laptop since I an traveling and I can use my desktop but then I found this app which pretty much saved me hundreds. It can read many different formats which is great as well. Suggestions: 1:show bends when they happen 2:make it able to create your own songs

Great on iPad!. I was using this on my iPhone and really enjoying it's functionality. With a free update for the ipad available at launch, this has instantly become an essential companion to my guitar playing. The iPad format is perfect. I would like to see a focus on improving the text-based tabs in the future, such as more options for formatting, optional auto-scrolling, and perhaps a text parser that can attempt to identify artist and song name without having to type it manually.

Fantastic Program. This is like an ebook reader for music. It's replaced several of my songbooks, giving me an easily portable music library. The app makes it easy to download new music from the web, or import my existing files. Whether importing tab files or using guitar pro files, the app makes playing a breeze. Highly recommended.

Fantastic!. This is one of the best apps I have ever found in the AppStore. This is the ultimate tool for sharing your compositions with other musicians and allowing them to learn it in no time! User experience is better than in some apple stock apps. Great attention was paid to every detail of this to make it usable by any musician. Even the dials respond to inertia! Well worth the money and more.

Must Improve!. Unless you guys want to get beaten by an overrated(something that gets to much credit but is not as worth it as people make it seem) app then it's time for some improvement either that or work together(I don't think it's possible at this time because both products are already out and both do the same thing. Now it depends on who has the best features). Many people are asking for music writing, who knows? Might be it. Good luck :/
