Great Tool!. Extremely helpful for those Networkers / IT Admins or any other tech who wants or need to do network connectivity test. Check the other useful apps from this developer which can be used combined with each other.

better than regular traceroute. This app is sort of like a combination of ping and traceroute; it keeps sending packets, and takes note of where they're being dropped, and color-codes hosts accordingly: high latency hosts are red, medium are yellow, low are green. Very cool, and quite handy for network analysis.

Nice app with a great UI. I really like this app. It not only does the job but does it with the kind of polished UI I've come to enjoy in good iPhone apps. Most recommended.

The Sexiest Traceroute Program Ever Written. This is the perfect way to answer the question: It is everybody --or just me? Yes... the fonts are very small, but this app pulls down a boatload of information. If you want to prevent a fatal crash of a hop that is not behaving, I recommend you hit pause after the first or second pass. If you can't read the small type, learn your colors. Red = Bad and Green = Good!

Clean. Another example of what an iPhone app should be. Clean and neat interface, small footprint and just the right amount of functionality. Great job. I especially like the automatic country of origin capability.

Useful. It's really useful for me. I can check the network status on my iPhone now.

This is Matt's traceroute for the iPhone. Love it.. I was hoping somebody had made something like mtr for the iPhone - so I wouldn't have to. This is it. Realtime packet traces, nice visualization of loss along the way. There is just one tiny thing I would want to improve: it could have a compact mode where it shows sending / receipt of packets historically, similar to mtr's second display mode. Definitely worth the money, highly recommended for debugging network weirdness.

Absolutely Essential for Travel. When traveling I am always stitching together flaky Wifi networks and various VPNs for security. Without this app I would have no insight into what the issue is. With this I am able to quickly see what isn’t working and workaround/fix it. That is my use case, but there are tons more obviously. This app is so clutch!

Beautiful and powerful. Nice Trace is the best traceroute app around, period. It shows every hop and every detail, and has subtle animations that add up to an amazing experience.

No improvements except one. This is great, except it should have an auto trace method so one doesn't have to copy the ip.

handy. This is a well-designed and useful application that combines a lot of the useful functions of traceroute, ping, and WHOIS queries into a single tool. If it didn't have a nasty habit of hanging when dealing with heavy packet loss / nonresponsive DNS, it'd be a no-brainer 5-star app. Right now, it's tough to use this app in exactly the circumstances where it would be most useful (i.e. the local network is flaky).

Pretty good stuff. Very clear interface, straight forward information, perfect tools for Administrator.

Great Tool!. Solid app. I use it frequently and highly recommend it. Would love to be able to do level 4 traces using variable source & destination ports, configurable TCP, UDP, & ICMP payloads, etc. Then again, I'd also like to see world peace and happy shiny people.

One of the essentials. I use this app and the rest of the collection every time something seems to be broken. Only thing I'd wish for is an ad version; I use the iPhone version on my iPad

excellent network evaluation tool. allows the user to evaluate multiple links along a path to detect and correct problems. I use this tool often.

Nice app - not longer works since the latest update. Nice app that I've found very useful in the past. Unfortunately, the app no longer works since the latest update. Hopefully, that will be resolved soon.

Where did a call org and watch it ping. Nice for seeing where the call org and Where it went just to get to me

Very nice. A very useful trace tool, although the color scheme is a little difficult to read.

Very useful graphical trace. The graphical trace screen which continually updates is incredibly useful for spotting any issues along a network path.

Awesome.. Good for running quick traceroutes from the inside of a target network out, for the simple fact that it fits in my pocket and can come with me almost anywhere.

Excellent!. Great app. Just what the doctor ordered, and best traceroute I've seen. The only small critisism is that it could have more contrast between the background and the text (e.g. green on black rather than green on dark green). I'm looking forward to more apps from this dev - and yes, I have bought his other app (Net Status) - it's also excellent!

Great tool for networking. Thank you to the developer. I’ve been using the trace tool and related utilities since they came out a few years ago. Very helpful for debugging, and I find that when I change hosts that running trace a few times helps get the new name-IP resolution out there sooner. I run a few traces, switch services or DNS servers and run again. Thanks again!! A well crafted, good looking, and reliable app.

Works well, location information is suspect. Works well but consistently thinks many AT&T locations in the network are in European Union! Most of these misidentified locations in the AT&T network are in Florida.

Excellent app. Really good app, completes traces FAST, gives a nice visual display, and shows packet delivery stats for each hop in real time. Valuable tool!

Comes in handy. Easy to use with a nice interface. Has come in handy when troubleshooting nets a few times

I don’t know how a traceroute could be better!. This is hands down the best app for traceroutes.

Best trace+ app I could find. I bought/downloaded something like 10 other apps for this purpose, none do tracing as well. Only two others have slightly better non-tracing network features. You wana trace, get this app.

This is the trace route app you're looking for.. Just a great looking, simple to use, non-bloatware trace route app.

Elegant and Accurate. This is a very elegant and accurate traceroute application for the iPhone. I am able to determine where there is a flaw in the path very easily, and then take the needed actions to correct it (or call the person who runs the network where the flaw is - thanks whois!) recommended for network admins and IT staff!

Very happy. Does what it says it does, updates are regular but by no means excessive. Very easy to use and interpret. I am surprised by how much I use this app.

Best I've seen.. Most complete information. Truly useful, and usable. I've bought a handful of these related utilities from the same author, and am pleased with each and every one.

AS Number. Love the ability to see the AS number in the trace.

Excellent !. Excellent tool; much better than most tracers in the pc/linux world. It continually updates itself, shows problem nodes in red or yellow, and good ones in green.

Useful troubleshooting tool. It comes in handy for testing the availability of site. You can compare routes with cellular versus WiFi or iPhone versus desktop.

Great traceroute app, nice UI. I've found this app to be very useful on several occaisions. Provides a slick frontend for performing traceroutes with AS number and origin country listed for each hop.

Excellent traceroute app!. This app is an excellent implementation of an MTR style traceroute utility. The graphical presentation of the traceroute data makes it simple to identify network issues. Great for troubleshooting wireless network connectivity issues from a mobile device.
