Amazing App. I love all of the updates that this app has done in the past 6 months. I use my fire tablet to read news in here in the morning and the night and you guys are always up-to-date with features! The local news is the best feature to date! Thanks for all of your hard work and making this my favorite news app ever.

The streaming is down a lot. I like the app, and when it works it’s great, I like to listen to the streaming simulcast at work. Seriously good app, but the msnbc streaming is down a lot. In fact for three days now whenever I try to listen I get the same error message. “Unable to load audio. We’re sorry there seems to be a network error. Check your network connection and try again.” It’s not my connection, there is nothing wrong with my connection. I can stream everything else from audio to movie streaming apps. And until three days ago I could stream msnbc through this app, even if it would go out frequently, it was usually only out for a few minutes. This time it’s been several days.

It's fine but not great. First, whoever is maintaining the content is lazy. Look at the video section and you'll see week old videos. Not good. Second, if you listen to live broadcast, the ads are horrible. Repeat repeat repeat. Same few ads. On top of that, I often get Spanish ads. Remember, this is MSNBC news. I don't want foreign language ads. And if I was the advertiser, I wouldn't be too happy that my marketing money is going to waste. Third, you click on an article and it launches safari... that's not how an app should work. Lazy.

Version 7.1.0. Freezing up and I must quit the app and restart using an AppleTV. At live mode start up lasts 10-30 min and then gets wonky, intermittent and so is the other glitch of starting a segment and within a few seconds restarts the same content when in live mode. I do appreciate the app and use it every day. Streaming is a challenge no matter which side of TV your on, look forward to the next update, my 3 star is respectable, not to far to get a 4

Love the app! What happened it to now?. I have always loved this app on my iPad & iPhone but something appears wrong with application when I do not use the full application. I was able to get updates without having to open full application on my iPhone & iPad until recently this week! What it is going on with your application now, is it just sheer volume or glitches? “Failed to Load” Press to Reload function is not working either!

Fantastic coverage, no paywall. One of the very best news apps. I prefer reading the news to watching it--this app allows both, and does both well. The widget provides constantly updating headlines when other apps, like the New York Times, have totally abandoned their iOS headline widgets. You can read top stories, including excellent coverage of issues of specific importance to LGBTQ and ethnic minority communities, watch video clips or the entire NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. Richard Engel's coverage of international news, especially Syria and Ukraine, is unparalleled. There are ads, but they're not intrusive at all, unlike so many other news sites and apps that have become unusable, and there's no paywall. In this era of fake news and alternative facts, this app is a bastion of quality journalism.

Since last iOS and tvOS update it have been garbage. I use this app on my Apple TV and my iPhone. Since early April 2021 it’s been glitchy on both devices. On the phone images fail to load and frequently it tells me I’m offline (I’m not). On Apple TV it freezes, pixelates, then restarts the story. I’ve troubleshot my network, quit the app, restarted devices, deleted and redownloaded the app on both devices and even restored the phone... never resolves issue. Internet speeds are 115 mbps down and 10.5 up, using Ethernet or WiFi on Apple TV, or WiFi only on the iOS device.

Totally disgusting ads. For the last few months, the ads that appear throughout articles appearing in the app are actually worse than clickbait, the kind of stuff you see at the end of any normal webpage. They are not only utterly ridiculous but absolutely disgusting to look at. This includes drawings of people farting, people with skin disease, and all other kind of maladies. Then there are the utterly indescribable images of what appear to be human deformities. How this kind of garbage could ever be approved for display on a reputable news site is beyond me. What has happened to NBC News? The app works well and I trust the journalism of this organization but these ads render the site unusable for me.

Latest version of this app is unusable. Unless you change your settings to accept it’s notifications. Personally, I like to read my news like I used to read the newspaper. I DO NOT want the app to “Notify” me about anything! Sadly, that makes it impossible for me to use the App. No Rachel Maddow, no Nicole Wallace. Bummer. I have no idea what they were thinking when they made that change! That’s ok, I deleted their messed-up App and I have a half-dozen other sources of news. I hope lots of other folks are as outraged as I am, and NBC re-thinks their outlandish policy on notifications!

The reason why NBC news is needed. They way that the news is written lets you get the message and the facts directly. There is no color or implied facts with the content, I consider this news to be the facts and nothing more. When I read this information, I can draw my own conclusions with any other suggestions. I appreciate NBC for their honesty and sincerity; thank you.

App is okay, content is trash. The app works okay, with frequent scrolling issues, resetting, pictures failing to load and other glitches, it’s earned about 3 stars… The content, on the other hand, is trash. I keep the app to see what NBC is saying is the “news” and how they frame it, which is typically very biased and skewed. Please understand what you’re getting when you read this. The articles will always present you with one side, written from one point of view, and never include any contrary voices. Additionally, they pick only the articles they want you to view, of course. MSNBC APP. This is a wonderful app for my IPHONE 12. Unfortunately I have a mini IPAD that I used to watch MSNBC with. Now with the new update I’m unable to watch it. The mini IPAD has version 9.20 and cannot be upgraded to 14.0 or later. I’ve tried to use older version of MSNBC app but pop up window tells me I have to update MSNBC app to watch it. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Minor Issues Make Big Differences. There’s a lot of little things that are annoying. I have this on mobile, and it gets annoying. I can’t figure out how to search, so I can’t see anything but the past two days of news. It gets really annoying! I want to see stuff from the past, almost every other news app has this! It would also be nice to have subtitles on the videos. I don’t always have headphones with me, so it’s difficult to look at certain stories on the go. It would also make everything difficult for deaf people. Most everything else is great, the ads get annoying but it’s fine, gotta make money somehow I guess. Overall it’s an alright app, but these things start to get to you after a while.

Apple TV : No control over playlist. I watch this on the Apple TV and I am pretty irritated with their update… It’s been A while now and I wanted to check in on the news for the 2nd impeachment… I stopped using this app because they changed the way it deals with playlists… I wanted to check out msnbc highlights and I can’t skip around anymore… I am willing to watch ads, do not get me wrong, but I hate being locked into a playlist without being able to skip around… I’m willing to watch Ads! It’s a very frustrating experience… This app used to be better it feels like they did this to make sure I watched ads… squeezing out every nickel at the cost of user experience

Privacy infringement.. I’m so conflicted. I love the design and UX of this app. It was one of the first news apps to have iOS12 widgets but it employed them brilliantly. But I’m just scrolling through an article and am presented with a couple of advertisements from their inbuilt Taboola Feed and was rather confused as to how one of the adverts was with regards a very particular item I had been browsing in a different app. Not on the web. In an app. This infringement of privacy is why I’ll be deleting this app from my phone with immediate effect. The use of Taboola is, with this user, negatively impacting your brand.

Trusted news coverage. Even when I was a kid my family always depended on NBC and the Today Show in the morning and evening for our news coverage. I also do watch news on CBS and their coverage is also excellent. It’s a comfort to see the same ppl delivering the news and knowing their names makes them a real part of our family. So I’m giving NBC an 5 star rating.

Nearly impossible to use on iPad. This app has one really annoying glitch. When I'm trying to read through the headlnes on the main news page, the app suddenly jumps, completely on its own, to somewhere else on the page. It may be up or down, but the headline I was looking at just disappears and the screen is centered in a new, random, place on the page. Then I have guess whether to scroll up or down to get back to where I was. If this is because the page was refreshed, please give us a button to do the refresh when the user wants it refreshed - don't aggravate the user by jumping away from what they were trying to read! Otherwise, the coverage seems to be very good. I just can't stand the way the app annoys me. If it didn't do that, I'd give it 5 stars.

Gesture for previous page. The only thing abt the app that could be improved is the left-to-right gesture to go to the previous page. In the current version a finger has to be placed completely off-screen then swiped to cause the app to respond to the gesture (iOS). Because of protective cases, that is difficult. Allowing the left-to-right gesture to begin anywhere on the screen would be more practical.

#boycottNBC. NBC is hosting a Trump town hall the same night as a Biden town hall, allowing him an alternative to an equal and fair portrayal to the American people of the quality of the presidential candidates. This is an appalling choice that further fractures the country by forcing viewers to choose a candidate to watch, instead of letting Trump accept the consequences of opting out of the presidential debate. They’ve given him a platform to escape a debate in which he’d need to be civil and defend actual policies and plans. This is forcing a fissure in our democracy. Shame on you, NBC. This was my primary news outlet. Deleting the app, and unfollowing your network for good.

The REAL News. I trust NBC and MSNBC to deliver the news in a timely, accurate manner. They have the best journalists and reporters who are willing to put their own lives at risk to bring viewers the real story. I have depended on NBC news for decades, but particularly over the past 5 years as real journalism is under attack on a daily basis by our President and his cronies in the right wing media. I am thankful to NBC and MSNBC journalists and reporters for providing their viewers with the real news during these turbulent times.

Glitch Glitch Glitch. The content of NBC News’ app might be of value, however one would be hard pressed to fully know. While the user peruses the headline stream, the app page will inadvertently jump to an alternate section, leaving the user … hanging. The user is then left to scroll and hunt for the original article, only to have the page once again jump to another section?!? At this point the user might simply close the NBC news app and open CNN or NPR or ABC News or CBS News or Politico or FOX News or Huff Post or The Hill or the Associated Press or any of the hundreds of other news App choices available without this ridiculous and wonky glitch.

NBC news is great, The app as well…except…. I see reviews here that are up to two years old that address my issues. NOTHING has been done to address the app’s “automatic refresh” boondoggle. This apparent “brain fart” of an idea is, in my opinion, screamingly frustrating! Literally every time I go to take in my daily diet of your news options on my iPad, I get automatically catapulted to an awfully rearranged menu. So many times I’ve been just about to make a selection and then “POOF” it’s gone! At which point I proceed to look for the item unsuccessfully and give up. I give up because of the other problem I have with it, “lousy search options”. Seriously??? This app is from the NBC that I’ve always loved and respected? As per usual, the content etc. are in line with how I’ve come to expect from you folks, top of the line. But these problems I’ve listed are what I’d expect from rank amateurs. (I’m not going into the bugs I’ve experienced, I don’t want to split hairs.) I love you guys. (Loved you better when news was a public service and not a corporate venture.) But even now you are the one I turn to. The best thing going. Please fix this weirdness? I think, by now the public knows how to push a “Refresh” button when THEY WANT.

Channel 4 Cols OH. Don’t just tell people to check website.... Some people do NOT have a computer or don’t easily know how to get to the site you’re telling about..... Just TELL us what we need to know....or put at bottom of screen like school closings. I volunteer at StAnns; yesterday the volunteer coordinator sent out a list of resources for community..... it was very informative & most that I have never heard about in the past 2 weeks watching TV & news conferences. That’s not serving ALL of your community. Thank you. Jan

The App does not find the internet connection on my device. This App does not get any reception since the upgrade. After the upgrade the App keeps telling me that there is no connection and I should check my internet connection. However my internet connection and my device are working fine with every other App except for this NBC News App, which I used to enjoy. I have updated and restarted the App and restarted my device. Everything else is working and has internet receprion, except this App. What can I do?

Great App. I like this app for the news but also because I can watch the different news programs, however, sometimes the videos are not available the same day as when they were broadcasted. My one gripe is that the updates typically break minor details around the app, and some can be annoying.

Constant Truth of Information. I have appreciated being able to stay informed with the truth of information. I may not agree with the news but I need to know the reality of our lives. I appreciate knowing someone else’s perspective. I appreciate even more not being mind manipulated & given the respect that I can decide myself. The ease of use of the app is wonderful.

Political. I have been watching all night. GREat job! BALLOTS FOUND INGARBAGE! I live in a Mobil home park and all of our ballots were found in the garbage! If it wasn’t for a kind neighbor that found them all and delivered them to everyone I know I wouldn’t have been able to vote since I don’t drive. It had to be done by the mail delivery person, no other way! I live in Clackamas, Oregon pls check into this! Thanks

True/Trusted Reporting. I am a women of love, I love my fellow man, women and child globally. Breaks my heart reading or hearing some of the news reports in my day. I known the world and my country are/is a complicated mess and sometime wonderful place. Spent a lot years working (sometimes 2 to 3 jobs) And raising 3 kids. The time I spent learning the news around me was at minimum. Most news came from my fellow workers. Now that I gave time, I’ve jumped in with both feet and heart. Thank You NBC, MSNBC, Today and apps for your great reporting. 🙏🤞💙💙💙💙

ABC News comments. Many of the featured stories are excessively politically correct. There is a great over emphasis on racial, sexual and homosexual matters to the detriment of the overall presentation of information. In addition, many stories make assertions without facts, representing poor journalism at best and outright propaganda at worst. In specific, the story about the $160 billion restaurant rescue bill uses the term “grant“ interchangeably with “loan“. The fact that no editor picked up on this grotesque discrepancy or simply doesn’t have the literacy to tell the difference between a loan and a grant is appalling.

Disappointment. This app is worthless. Nothing to do with the content. Just that all I can see are the picture/headlines. When I click on a story I get nothing but black screen. After months of sending messages asking them about the problem—no response. Too bad. They used to be good, and the news content probably still is. They just don’t care about the delivery medium. Maybe the same techie geeks that build the app are managing the online feedback and don’t pass on the complaints. Whatever, I’m deleting it forthwith.

Constantly Forced to Sign In. I view content on the Apple TV app, and every hour (sometimes more or less) the app closes itself and I am forced to constantly sign back in. Sometimes I log in and select MSNBC and instead of loading video content, it goes to a blue screen. Then, I am forced to force close the app and restart the process again. It has been doing this for well over a year. It’s exhausting and makes watching NBC coverage more trouble than what it’s worth.

Best news app that isn’t biased!. Among many reasons to choose where you get your news from, it is always best to choose cites that showcase everything. The good, the bad, the ugly. You don’t want a news app that’s biased or caters to those who choose to be willfully ignorant. That’s why I love NBC among a few others. Because I know I’ll be getting accurate news information on current issues. Thankful that there’s still good news apps out there.

When “Breaking news” push notifications aren’t breaking news. The push notification options for this app appear to be “all or none”. There is one option in settings for “Breaking news”, another for “Quiet mode”. The problem is, I get tons of notifications for things that aren’t breaking news at all. Some are editorials (notification title starts with “OPINION:...”), others are non-breaking news stories: “Toddler's family grapples with 'unfathomable' loss after her fall from cruise ship”. The app needs a *real* “Breaking news only” push notification option. Until it does I’m about to turn off the app’s notifications because I get far too many non-breaking news notifications.

Good app but needs fix. I really like this NBC news app. It’s just the right amount of news without the overwhelming and completely depressing, overblown, polarised information of other news apps. I want to be updated with the latest important news; not bludgeoned with gruesome murders, US vs YOU political crap and a TMI style of app reporting that complies a bunch of other nonsense making me feel that human beings are the worst idea ever created! That being said, I have a couple of technical issues; why does it jolt you off the section you are reading ( I assume more stories are being added? ) it is incredibly frustrating to be reading a headline and suddenly your 3 or 4 stories down and have to scroll back to what you were originally looking at. Also, while I love that the content is limited, which makes for a clear straight forward news feed, some of the stories at the bottom seem to never change, so really you end up reading just the upper portion...how about moving those older stories along. More stars when small issues are fixed😉 Thanks for doing the news right!

Notifications. I had to turn off my notifications for NBC News because the most recent one contained T****’s name. For my own mental health, I can no longer have that name unexpectedly popping up in my face. Some may not understand this, but 81,000,000 others just might. When I want to know what he’s up to, I’ll check your app and Twitter. I’ll turn my notifications back on in 2024. Thanks!

App developer link takes you to nowhere. This app has had the broken widgets since April of 2021. I’ve even downloaded all the new apps and for my new 13 Pro and the widgets still have not updated since April. Particularly “This week in photos”! So I have a revolving stack that just keeps showing the same thing since April 2021! It’s the same 10 images and the widget is called “This Week in photos” so it supposed to update weekly, but nope! Still seeing the same photos all summer, fall, and looks like it’s going to winter! Please fix! This is super annoying! I want them to change so bad, but the only option is to remove the widget from my phone or unless the app. I’m gonna do both if it isn’t fixed because NBC should have it where when you click on developer options, or report, it goes directly to an online form to report the problem. It cannot be fixed if we cannot report it. So I gave it one star, hoping someone will just happen to see this review, because there is no way to report this information to the developers!

Quality news coverage. I really enjoy this app and I appreciate their journalistic integrity. One of the last news outlets that you can trust to be fair and honest without an obvious bias. The app is well designed and easy to use with out a paywall. I recommend this app to anyone looking for a reliable way to stay up to date with current news.

Improvements Please!. Review 1. Would like option of either audio of news or news in print. 2. Anyway to respond to an article or to vote ie. YES good idea or NO ridiculous, not necessary and waste of taxpayers money idea. For example I want to scream at the asinine idea of Trump inserting himself into “The Capital 4th.” I will not watch if he has any part in the celebration. Did jhumsoon write “myocarditis?’. I love reading the comments where people are supposed to review the app itself, but ramble on about insignificant and trivia. An NBC News app reviewer, jhumsoon commented how he or she develops inflammation of the heart, every time they see someone on NBC News get stabbed when receiving the vaccine. Jhumsoon, I want to ease your heart inflammation! Pediatric and Adult patients get different size needles. A child is never given an adult sized injection in addition to adults and children have different sized breathing tubes, IVs, and pretty much every other piece of medical equipment, in a controlled environment. Kowledge is power. That’s the good news! As far as the NBC News app, I love the convenience of getting “breaking news” notifications and don’t have to search through random news outlets when I have a trusted news source right on my iPhone and/or iPad.

PLEASE add a search function. It’s a nice way to get news and it’s free. But there NEEDS to be a way to search for articles. I frequently will have clicked on a notification to read an article and some problem causes me to go back to the home page of the app (sometimes I didn’t finish reading the article before spending an extended period of time with the app minimized, or sometimes when I click a notification it doesn’t actually take me to the article) but if the article isn’t on the home page and I don’t know where to find it in the explore tab, there’s no way for me to get back to it. This is less pressing, but it would also be nice if clicking links inside an article that lead to another NBC article would open up that article inside the app rather than in my browser.

Way too many notifications…. The app itself works well, but they need to calibrate what they think people need to be notified about immediately. Not knowing why Tiger Woods got in another crash is not breaking news. I had to turn the notifications off. I was getting 20 NBC news notifications for every 1 received from a competing network’s app. Ironically, they just had a segment about internet addiction featuring a guy that had trouble ignoring this sort of non-stop news.

NBC online News. I prefer the content of NBC and MSNBC over all others. I feel they tend towards Democrats and democracy which are my tendencies as well. I prefer CNN’s layout to yours but I’m not sure I can pinpoint what’s different. One thing I like about CNN is that videos of their TV personalities are seen giving perspective and analysis. I think that is a vast difference. And I like the physical layout of their website. Signed, a Michigan Democrat

Info is good. Delivery is lousy. Many articles require waiting 15 seconds for an ad to run before the news video. If I wanted an ad to run every time I would just google “show me ads”. I want the news. And the ad seems to be the same for every news story. Other news outlets seem to get their news up faster so I usually start with CNN which is just as bad with video ads.

Where did objective Reporting of news and balanced analysis go?. I’ve watched the NBC Peacock for almost 60 years. I’m an independent who loves my country. NBC has lost the reporting integrity it once had. Chuck Todd is in way over his head. You don’t need to be Tim Russert but Todd isn’t the same hemisphere. Poor app. Update to the comments below: Even without scrolling, while viewing article titles with the page stationary, it suddenly jumped further down… I like NBC news, hate this app. Constantly jumps to sections further down as I scroll to view articles. Always jumps to a completely different area than where I had previously been when using the back button from an article. This has been an issue for as long as I’ve used this app. No other news app I use behaves this poorly.

3+ decades is enough. As an adult, I have watched the NBC Nightly News for more than three decades. In recent years i have enjoyed podcasts s as well. Why? Like you, because my parents watched it and I followed suit. The doctoring of the Columbus police shooting of an armed and assaultive person has caused me to pause and wonder, what is NBC’s role in this non-stop attack against law enforcement? Then I remember, ratings, it is all about ratings, not character of employees or reporting abilities. If that were true, Savannah Guthrie and Brian Williams, come to mind as individuals who should be unemployed. It breaks me that my news source has lost any semblance of reality, but to doctor reporting…that is INTENT, intent to lie and mislead to sell a story. I hope your sponsors abandon you, as you have abandoned your viewers. Good bye.

Back to being a five star. If you’re on the fence about this app, look at how consistent the developers are at responding to each of our technical complaints. They addressed my issue. As far as ads go, it’s a free app offered by commercial network channel. Someone has to pay for it. I’d rather read, listen to, or watch ads while on the app than sacrifice my personal device’s autonomy when I’m off the app. Here’s my previous review: Was among my favorite news apps until today. They now force users to accept notifications. That’s ridiculous. Hate to see it go but it’s deleted now. I’ll revisit in the future - hoping they see the light. Because I will miss it. But not enough to accept nonsensical notifications.

Page content jumping around, poorly organized. This is regarding the iPhone app. I use the app by skimming down the home page and just choosing to read certain articles that interest me. Ugh, every time I read an article and return to the main page I’m not in the same spot where I was, or for a split second I am but then the page content jumps, and I don’t know if the spot I left off is above or below where I am now. This seems due to ads randomly appearing or disappearing. SO ANNOYING. Also, there doesn’t seem to be any logical organization anymore. This has been my go-to national news app for years and I am just irritated trying to use it. Considering deleting.

Slight degradation. This is my go-to website for news. Seemed to operate quite well in comparison to other network news sites. That has changed. Once I’m done reading a story, I usually have hit the back button to get to the next story that I would like to read. Now it takes two hits of the back button to get to that same spot. While this is a minor convenience, it is an inconvenience. Please fix this!!

Where's my Morning Joe?!. The only show I depend on for the App: "Morning Joe" is gone!!! How could you do this. I watch it during my (Australia) morning on my walk into the city. I Love that show and I am very disappointed that you no longer provide content for Joe, Mika, Willie, Mike, Donnie, Ratner, Harold and the rest of the gang. Humph!!!

Slow to load. Slow to load but that could be the network.

Videos stop halfway through. Trying to watch dateline and videos stop halfway through clips as many others have reported taken far to long to resolve for such a large company

Bad video stream. The stream freezes midway through a clip. Extremely annoying.

Full screen adds when selecting story!. I used to love this app but recently every time I select a story to read a full page add appears which I can’t get rid of. I don’t select any of the in page adds it does it by itself. It’s making the app unusable. Please fix

Video servers too slow!. I have a fast wifi line and even with that the videos always intermittently freeze then jitters occur. Compared to other news video apps like CNN their videos load super fast and never halt in the middle of downloading a video. For a company like MSNBC we expect better hardware systems than this.

ALL VIDEO CONTENT BROKEN!!. The people responsible for this ap have let it's users down far too long for over 3 years with bugs. The latest means that any attempt at watching a video is exhausting and slow.

Thank you MSNBC. You are my trusted news source. Thanks especially to Rachael Maddow, Nicole Wallace and Joy Reid. I feel I'm getting reliable, well researched and credible news about what's happening in the United States and the world generally. With the savage cut backs to the Australian ABC, our National new carrier, it's good to know there's a credible and consistently reliable app I can turn to for up to date news coverage. nice looking but ultimately useless. Can’t play full episodes of my fav programs, just snippets; but the very worst thing about this app is it doesn’t provide the ability to cast the programs (Chromecast etc.) to my TV. Sadly, since the MSNBC website doesn’t allow this either, I continue to be forced to watch pirated full programs on YouTube. I don’t want to, but here we are.

MAGA. Fake news!

Ruined by TuneIn. I use this app 4-5 hours a day to listen to the live feed of MSNBC shows, which is run by TuneIn. TuneIn clearly delays the feed by about 30 seconds so it can run its infuriatingly stupid ads to the listener. These run on high rotation, the same ads day after day after day, so they drive you crazy. They also cut to the ads a few seconds before the live speaker cuts to an ad break. Also infuriating. When I close the app to avoid the ads and try to get the feed as live as possible it usually restarts with the start of an ad - clearly this is not a live feed. The content on the app itself is good, but when I’m listening to th app in the background and another app cuts in with, say, an auto ad on Candy Crush, the app doesn’t resume when the CC ad ends. You have to go in and restart the app. Other apps I have resume play when another app intervenes like that. Last: the app frequently stops and I have to restart it. I guess this is because of some backend conflict with another function on the phone (iPhone Xs Max, 14.6) but don’t know what it is. Please address these issues. PS: Why are most of the reviews here of this app 7-10 years old?

Great News. System works with my requirements. I only miss the automatic scrolling feature while the updates are being loaded.

Frustrating. The app keeps jumping to a different place in the stream of news. It’s very frustrating when I’m trying to scroll through. To the point where I’m about to delete the app

Too slow & poor selection. Very slow too load even on a fast wifi connection, poor selection of programs.

UX poor. The user experience is very poor compared to countries in Europe. It could be a lot better.

Great App 👍🏼. Love the app it allows me to listen to world news while on the go. I use it everyday, you can listen to live audio news daily for free no subscription required all day long. The only setback I have with the app though is my PowerBeats pro volume control doesn’t work with it most of the time. I hope they will look into this flaw soon.

NBC appeals to me. This has become a time of very good news, extreme and bad news and another category which is poking us with a stick - the non stop roller coaster of chronic lies, hate and division. A appreciate the page layout, the headline image choices, and the stories themselves. All contribute to making the effort to read and watch in-spite of the fact our minds often feeling overwhelmed.

Comprehensive accurate coverage of relevant stories. The most accurate reporting on a wide variety of regional, national and sometimes international stories. I can hear Lester’s voice as I read each story.

Excellent. The coverage had been excellent .

App is always buggy. Don’t fix bugs for ages. Newest bug requires you to exit an article twice and sometimes even 3 times. Been this way for a month.

Where’s the audio?. Just did the update and now all I get is an error message and blank screen when I go to the listen tab. Not cool.

5 stars, but no sound, so 0 stars. This app provides access to excellent content and is well designed. BUT, currently, sound often does NOT work! There’s a bug in the app. So it’s uselessness. FIX THIS PLEASE!

Doesn’t keep track of correct position in the page causing jumps.. Whenever the page automatically adds content it jumps to a story way down in the page. I have to scroll to many, many pages back up to find where I was before the interruption. This happens 4 or 5 times every day. It is VERY annoying.

Thank you, NBC News. I’ve always had an extreme dislike of politics, and have never been one to really closely follow the news, but about 18 months ago I decided to learn. I started watching MSNBC, and downloading and reading the news every day on my NBC news app. You folks have not only introduced me to a whole new world of understanding and knowledge, but have taught me so much almost from the ground up about American politics. Your app news articles are very well-written, reliable and interesting, and I really look forward to reading them. MSNBC is just brilliant. The news anchors are very interesting, obviously extremely knowledgeable and competent, and have a very unique and warm approach which makes listening to the news really enjoyable. Now my husband and I talk politics and he tells me he’s amazed how much I now know about it. Thank you, NBC and MSNBC, and keep up the great work!!

New user. I have just started using it.

Players Controls Block Screen. The video player controls never disappear from the screen. They block the image themselves, plus they cause a dark overlay to further obscure the image: doubly cursed. Why can’t you simply use the Apple iOS video player and be done with it?

Bring back full screen. A good news app overall, but after a recent update it’s no longer possible to watch video in full screen. Please bring it back!

The Jumping News Streaming service. NBC has great news articles and reports and I particularly like the thoughtful opinion pieces. But what is with their app! While scrolling through the menu it jumps And bumps and moves. I’ll be in the politics section of the main screen and it jumps to the Meet the Press section. It actually makes me anxious to use this app. There’s got to be a simple way to change that.

Excellence in Reporting. Factual, to the point reports. Totally objective in nature. Not usually seen these days in the news. Experienced people who speak to the people and don’t talk down to them like other broadcast crews have been doing. As a Canadian I look to NBC NEWS for the facts, and understanding of reporting all sides of a discussion or, in this case, both the left, right and centrist sides of the political map.

Real News. Just recently came upon this app and have to say, the best reporting of 6 daily papers/ apps I read daily. Well read, refreshing, real, not fake. Keep up the good work

Drives me nuts.... The Inspiring America advertising video INCESSANTLY comes up. OK, I can understand it coming once per session, but for EVERY video played, even if it’s 45 seconds. One really bad and really BIG drawback to an otherwise great app. Once per session, please. Enough already.

No more streaming in Canada :-(. The latest updates revoke ability to stream MSNBC while in Canada. Why, oh why? Please restore streaming. Otherwise NBC good source timely news updates and interesting articles. Sorry, this is a nice app… but restoring streaming to Canada would Make App Great Again! Please… with maple syrup on top. :-)

NBC News. I never accept the news unless I hear it from multiple sources. My top networks news are NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, and CNBC. After that I listen to other sources, read many newspapers, and make my decisions based on the reliability between the information I receive. I find that NBC is quite consistent in reporting reliable And timely information.

Popup box interferes with otherwise useful app. I installed the app a few months ago to watch the debates. Initially it worked fine; however more recently it comes up with an extremely annoying popup box within minutes of turning it on. The box has no mechanism to turn it off and you can’t scroll to dismiss. The only way to get rid of it is to delete and reinstall. If this continues I will delete it permanently.

Would be great if authentication errors stopped. Love having MSNBC live stream accessible on Apple TV! Only reason I use the app. However every couple of weeks the app doesn’t display the stream and instead “User Authentication Token Not Available” displays. Sign in, sign out, no difference. Few days later it fixes itself and then happens again. Why can CNN build a flawless app but NBC can’t figure it out?

Free, but you’ll pay for it.. Scrolling headlines for something interesting? Not really an option. This app is so horny to push revenue generating ad-content at you that it continually resets. You’ll loose your place in the feed, loose your place within an article. It’s like a glitch: but it’s intentional. Absolutely appalling and makes every interaction VERY frustrating. Quality content and reporting, if only one could actually dig into it without constantly being returned to the top of the app. Don’t bother unless you enjoy reading your newspaper in a gale-force wind.

Switched to NBC. I used to check CBS online but I hate that they started offering mostly video clips instead of stories. But I can read faster than the video, don’t use speakers in public places, and don’t have a lot of time. Thanks, NBC, for keeping the easy dual-option. Great reporting, too.

Unusable - Overlapping sound - two channels simultaneously. This app is unusable for us due to overlapping sounds. When I switch between NBC News Now, MSNBC, and Today, the sound from the last channel will continue to broadcast simultaneously with the new show; drowning each other out. It all garbles together into a noisy mess. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and tried to adjust every setting possible to no avail. Please fix this! I would very much like to use this app.

Enable auto-refresh on ATV!!!. Soooo... why is it that, on the Apple TV, when I want to watch Maddow, or Chris Hayes... I can’t just select “Shows” and then “Maddow”, because it pulls up the cached show from LAST FRIDAY... until I drop my universal remote, pair the Apple remote, force quit the app, restart, then navigate to “Shows” > “Maddow”, THEN the current episode finally shows up. At that point, I’m pretty much ready to just watch CNN on Sling. AUTO-REFRESH. Please.

Where did objective Reporting of news and balanced analysis go?. I’ve watched the NBC Peacock for almost 60 years. I’m an independent who loves my country. NBC has lost the reporting integrity it once had. Chuck Todd is in way over his head. You don’t need to be Tim Russert but Todd isn’t the same hemisphere. Best way to get MSNBC. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate receiving audio ads made to blend in with the audio news feed itself (please not the same ones over and over however), and that I can fire up the app by saying Hey Siri play MSNBC. So good! Way better than fiddling with video, and very smartly thought through.

What happened?!?. Been using this app for years but just did an update and now it doesn’t work. Stories open in text files, can’t see photos anymore, it’s just a jumbled mess. Deleted and reinstalled app twice but now that I’m looking at other comments, looks like there is a big problem with this last upgrade. You blew it, NBC. Deleting the app altogether until you get your ish together!

Outstanding new service. NBC news service is usually first when a news event occurs . It is factual, the reporting is easy to the reader lastly, it gives background information on the news break story. My first choice on all of my electronic devices ! Too many insignificant news alerts.. Especially on weekends to keep your presence known you send some random facts & stats! Sending unimportant alerts is not important to just fill my inbox!! Do not send mere random facts or opinions to keep us all hooked. There’s enough news with the idiot we have in the White House, we don’t need to receive insignificant non-newsworthy alerts. Anxiety is high enough! No need to raise the bar! Trump can do it all himself!!🤯😱

Love it EXCEPT the videos won’t play.. It does a good job in written form of articles of gathering and presenting the news along with also having the most interesting and intriguing short videos but they WON’T PLAY. The ad first on the video sometimes plays. But the news part won’t. It’s frustrating and an enormous flaw in this program. Please, NBC, as naive as this sounds of me to ask as if you’ll care, please fix it.

Forced to watch porno ads. This app used to be great with the news and only the news. But now it pops up commercials between every story and many of them are pornographic to the point I wouldn’t want kids to accidentally see it. And you can’t stop it until the end short of restarting the app, then you’re forced to watch it again. I hope an update improves it and screens the ads better. Kid’s addition doesn’t go well after some of those porno ads. Real disappointment!

Why. No pay wall is nice but this review is just about the app not the content. It is lacking in organization, has incorrect play times on video thumbnails and does not offer chrome cast support. This would be ok if this was not a broadcasting news company. Your platform is based off of videos but the app does everything wrong with videos. It’s organized like a bad newspaper app not like a video news company. You also suggest short length videos over your full length news.

Review. Waiting for nbc to cover Householder scandal in Ohio. Waiting for follow up on Russian pay for American lives by Taliban. Not enough on Portland- this is a huge attack on our legal system and puts buildings ahead of people. Stormtroopers at behest of sitting president. What are you waiting for? How about detailing who is holding up bailout? Why aren’t states funded? What does states rights mean today? Did like your AOC headline and coverage. I watch nbc news daily but have to seriously supplement it.

Excellent news app!. This app works pretty well buta bit slow in loading. This is not unusual as I see the same or slower load times in other popular news apps. Whatinenjoybthis news is really great is the content! A strong contender for those of us who demand an alternative to Fox news!

Stop pausing audio feed. Love this app but really wish it would stop turning off my audio feed when I just want to browse the news while listening to music. Or at least give us a setting so we can toggle that option on and off.

News Review. Since we have to stay home, getting the news from your network is great! Especially with the terrible virus that affects all of us 24 hours a day 7 days a week! Keep it coming!

Home page continually jumps down page. I’m done with this app. As reported before, one cannot browse the headlines on an iPad without the app regularly jumping on its own to lower points on the Home Screen. If you read a story, it will return you to a random lower spot on the Home Screen when finished. No other app does this. I and others have reported this before but no action has been done to fix the bug. Goodbye NBC. It’s a shame as I like the reporting.

Not entirely stable. It’s strange, there are links within the app that take you to the nbc website rather than re-direct you somewhere within the app. For example, there will be a story about their new service NBC News Now and of you click on it you’re redirected to the website rather than the part of the app for NBC News Now.

I like the content but.... At least on my platforms I find the app pretty buggy; it jumps to random places in the feed when I finish reading something rather than going back to where I left off. There is a nice cross-section of views, wide areas of interest, and generally very solid writing, but it’s habit of sending you wherever is a bit annoying.

Try again. All apps that purportedly show the evening news have the same problem, even after NBC updates the apps to fix bugs and improve performance like it just did. The ad at the beginning plays just fine but when you expect to see Lester Holt, you see nothing except that whirling dervish. If you wait long enough (and I’m talking 5-10 minutes), Lester finally appears-for maybe 2 minutes and then it’s back to the whirling dervish. I don’t have 2 hours or the patience for this. Much as I like Lester Holt, I’m switching to CBS.

Glitches Are Worsening (Apple TV). Ever since the update at end of last year (2020), video segments rarely play to end and are often frustratingly edited. Halfway through a Today or MSNBC segment the playback suddenly skips to entirely different show or goes to live stream program. Also, the “Oops, can’t play back that video” error message has also become more of an issue. I’ve seen this complaint on Twitter regarding your playbacks. Please, please resolve this issue!!!!

Decent. Informative. Straight to the Point!. I don’t have a lot of time to spend searching for news that matter. NBC makes it quick and easy for readers to understand the headline in one glance. It gives the reader an idea what they would read about if they open the tab.

Poor politics!!. There are too many episodes of Hershel Walker on Nightly News with Lester Holt! What about sharing the spotlight on his opponent? Constantly showing Walker is obscene and not the same kind of time given his opponent. I’m from California and can’t vote in the GA. election but am sick and tired of having Walker shoved down my throat. Please STOP it!!!

Auto play issues. All of a sudden videos start auto playing as I read articles in the IOS app. This is a new problem and I cannot find a way to stop it. Often I cannot even determine where the video is that is playing to pause it. This needs to be fixed or I will delete the app. Ongoing issue of the app jumping all over the place. When I finish reading an article, it doesn’t take me back to where I was. I end up at some random spot. Very annoying

News coverage. How could you all decide to cover the man in the White House on all 3 of your channels tonight? I watch msnbc all evening every night - but I sure won’t tonight. Even on your channels when he speaks for more than a few minutes, I mute him. I am a 77 year old college educated lady in Virginia. I love your channels, but surely not this decision!! Pages not loading, images distorted. Getting lots of errors lately with pages not loading correctly and images being badly distorted. It looks like it is trying to load desktop version of image as opposed to mobile. Also website is crashing a lot too in mobile chrome browser. Story will load and as you scroll down, the page will reload and present an error.

???????. Today I tried to send a complaint about the application however the email was returned stating no such address. I’ve been using this application for over a year to all day long the application was blank there was no news at all you click on say world news you get some titles and little square boxes and a blue line so you got nothing. I uninstalled the application rebooted my iPhone and reinstalled the application NOTHING.

Why Can’t The App Stay Put?. The app keeps jumping down in stories whenever I return from reading. All other news apps let me continue from where I left off. For example… story one, two, three etc. NBC News keeps changing??? AND… NBC used to be my favorite place for honest reporting. I believe the honesty to still be there. Please keep the news moving fluently.

Help! Audio is not playing. I tried to report a problem but I couldn’t write out what was happening so I guess I’ll leave a review. I’ve had this app for about a month and it was playing the videos and audios just fine for about a week or two and then all of the sudden the audio stopped working. I’ve tried everything to fix it and nothing works. Help me fix this! I like getting my news from NBC

Issues with login on Apple TV. I actually love the app when it works. But over the last month, it’s consistently logged me out of my DirectTV account and required me to login every other day. I went on a trip and came home and now it won’t even let me login. This is happening on two separate Apple TVs, and I’ve sat and tried troubleshooting it for an hour. Please fix this; I love the programming but can’t enjoy more than a 10 minute preview even though I should have access to the content!

Great app, but.... I use this app daily. However it’s missing a critical function: the ability to increase the font size. So many times my reader glasses are not nearby and I cannot read anything other than the headlines. Many other apps offer increased font size in their settings. I’m disappointed that this app does not. ☹️

Privacy infringement.. I’m so conflicted. I love the design and UX of this app. It was one of the first news apps to have iOS12 widgets but it employed them brilliantly. But I’m just scrolling through an article and am presented with a couple of advertisements from their inbuilt Taboola Feed and was rather confused as to how one of the adverts was with regards a very particular item I had been browsing in a different app. Not on the web. In an app. This infringement of privacy is why I’ll be deleting this app from my phone with immediate effect. The use of Taboola is, with this user, negatively impacting your brand.

Sound not working for videos. This has been my go to app for news and the video section has been my go to place in the app. But the videos don’t play with sound anymore - as of the last few weeks. Strange that it’s not been addressed yet. My other news and music apps play sound just fine, so it’s clearly the NBC News app. Thinking I’m not the only one with this issue?

Graphic commentary...?. NBC might want to provide readers a feature that nobody else is fulfilling ....that being graphic commentary. Yes- facts are important but seeing an artist’s point of view helps explain the truth. I look forward to the day that NBC or any other news platform starts supporting the freedom of speech by using political cartoons to engage their readers. Photos and columns are......everywhere.....people love political cartoons and yet digital news platforms have yet to recognize that fact.

Love NBC, hate the iPad app. The news coverage is always good, but reading it on the app is beyond challenging. The content changes - while I’m scrolling, while I’m reading an article or even when I’m just looking at the headlines. It’s frustrating and, while I think NBC is the best news coverage, I’m about to ditch this app.

The truth is your guide. I know all news media has taken a severe hit while the last administration was occupying the Whitehouse. I also know that NBC News has always reported news with the utmost integrity to keep to the facts. I have appreciated your reporting for many years. Thank you.

Poor app. Update to the comments below: Even without scrolling, while viewing article titles with the page stationary, it suddenly jumped further down… I like NBC news, hate this app. Constantly jumps to sections further down as I scroll to view articles. Always jumps to a completely different area than where I had previously been when using the back button from an article. This has been an issue for as long as I’ve used this app. No other news app I use behaves this poorly.

The NOT FOX news. I love getting the most important relevant news first in a concise manner- not long drawn out opinion pieces. Don’t have to read posts from the public which is usually nonsense and the biggest crime, semi illiterate spelling. Thanks for making the horrible news readable 💜

Accessible to Braille Readers. The NBC News app pruvide good access platform in plain text format which is much easier for Braille Readers to read and follow through freely without any inaccess (visualize) formats. Braille readres are unable to view or recognize any images or videos via braille without text-based English written transcripts/visual description to be included.

Needs font size adjustment option!!. The NBC news app is easy to navigate and alerts show latest news. Easy to share an article. Only 4 stars because the font is not adjustable. The font in the articles is too small. If I see a headline I want to read, I will open NBC in Chrome so the font is bigger.

Bill Jones. Thank you for your news. I like reading your stories and insights. I do Primary read NBC news to try to understand the news written from the lefts point of view. I’m intrigued with your selection of what and is not considered important for the American people to know.

Awful full page ads and Recent News keeps reverting to Top News. They introduced full-page ads that are onerous to get past, they persist for 5-10 seconds and are designed such you make you accidentally click on them trying your hardest to scroll past it, as it says at the bottom of the add. Recent news reverts to Top news every time you go back from the article you were on

Need to be able to change font size. Love the reporting & the stories. However the font size is a problem; it’s way too small and difficult to read for my old eyes. I generally have to open an article in Safari in order to be able to change it to a larger font. I hope the designers will add this feature to the NBC News site soon.

Missing functionality. I do enjoy NBC Nightly News and NBC in general but the App, despite being updated recently is still lacking Chromecast streaming functionality that most other news like CNN, CBS and like 90% of media-based apps have. Additionally, formerly full screen functionality is broken with white bars now framing the videos (at least with the iPhone 12 Pro).
