No Texting. The texting feature hasn’t been working in a week. I’ve gotten several emails saying it’s back up but it’s not. We, as a business, use texting to set up appointment times. This has cost us customers and current customers need to constantly be called back to let them know the texting is down. They might have went with other companies in the meantime. This probably should be more like a one star review but will give a little credit that Line2 has been good to us so far. However this texting glitch is a big black eye on an otherwise decent company.

Reliable phone service. I’ve been using Line2 for many years. They were wonderful all that time. When COVID came to the U.S. in 2020 and the lockdowns happened I noticed service was becoming a problem for calls coming in and apps for the phone and desktop. I would call and I couldn’t reach anyone so I would email them. The emails were getting through because I would get auto-response back confirming the emails were received but no actual emails addressing the problems. This I have been doing for over a year and I've not had any responses back. I've seen reviews on the Internet and a lot of people are having serious problems also. I am now looking for another company. It's sad that a company that one gave wonderful service came down so much.

Eh! Not the best not the worse. Good: It’s committed to its purposes for me. Bad: Unreliable, doesn’t even notify you rather the call is coming from your native line or Line2 (unlike other apps I have used). There seem to be a gliche every day. Making it hard to trust the product. Can reach customer care and also can’t make adjustments like with your native phone. Ugly: The price is not worth the product. I do month to month because one of these non-busy days I hope to switch applications because for 9.99+taxes monthly is NOT worth it. Please trust me. This is a complete unbiased review. I still do use them just being honest but as soon as I have time to search another app I will end services.

Great service until you try to cancel. Had the app for many years and it works well. Now I no longer need a second line and am learning that they make it very difficult to cancel service. You can’t do it via the app. You can’t do it online. The help page directs you to a url that doesn’t work. I tried chatting with customer service but that’s only for sales and they can’t help. The only option is to call. Tried that and was cut off twice. Otherwise, very long wait times. Recorded message suggested opening a ticket via the help tab. I’ve done that so let’s see if they respond, how long it will take and if they can help. It should never be this hard to cancel a service one no longer needs especially after being a loyal customer for many years.

The worst customer service I’ve ever had!. I normally don’t write negative reviews but this is ridiculous honestly the worse customer service I have ever had in my life! I have been talked down to for 3 days now with still no service but my payment is up to date. Besides the actual working issues of line 2. I was literally belittled by a customer representative I will keep my name to my self right now. Even asking him to forward me to his boss or manager countless times he just wanted to argue. Nor would he ever state his actual title when I asked, just that he was a manager. Funny how the manager of this operation has answered my calls multiple times. This app was purchased to run my business so a lot rides on it functioning. The call forwarding won’t even work. Outraged and in disbelief on how this company trains and monitors their employees! I will keep reviews posted until my issues are resolved.

Don’t expect to use with Apple Watch. I just received an Apple Watch for Christmas and cannot for the life of me get the Line 2 app to install on my watch. Despite there being a troubleshooting page that says the watch app should automatically install, when I contacted support, the email I received in response basically said that there is no support for the Apple Watch, nor do they intend to support it anytime in the near future—meaning that if you’re like me and can’t get it to load on your watch, you’re out of luck. This makes my Apple Watch less useful to me than my Fitbit in this regard, because Line2 notifications at least buzzed on my Fitbit. One would think that with the move towards smart tech wearables, a company that wants to cater to businesses as a telephone line replacement would offer some sort of support in this regard. Overall, the app works well enough for my purposes because I send all calls to voicemail and only text, but if having a reliable phone line is super important to your business, just get a real line. When I have turned on calls in the past, a percentage wouldn’t make it through.

Loyal user. It's been almost 15 years now since I stop having a cell phone plan and just using my iPhone as a wifi phone with line2. Took a little getting use not being able to talk while on the road but that the reason I got rid of the cell phone plan. Here is the positives: yearly cell bill is $99, less likely to get a cell phone driving ticket and I can't be reached all the time (Me time). There are free wifi at most everywhere so it's like you have a cell phone plan. I have been happy with line2 for a decade. Wish they would include faxing at a reason price with there business plan. 8x8's plan is better so they have my business line but I am very happy with Line2. Keep up the good work. Oh thanks from finally adding the ability to to get pictures. I’m still on the legacy plan and the sound quality is pretty poor. I can’t upgrade because the auto attendant does not have the same features as the legacy plan. I am stuck between poor quality in the legacy plan, then trying to find out if the new system sounds better

Great for calls & basic texts.. I got this app so I could get a local number while keeping the number I've had for over 10 years. I'm in real estate now & a local number is important. However, because I'm in real estate, I often need to share contacts, send/receive photos, videos, they finally figured out how to send photos, but videos still don’t work, and even if I’m on my iPhone, if someone shares a contact w/ me, it won’t come through & open. Additionally, why isn’t there an Apple Watch app? For some reason I only get the alerts & call throughs on my watch about 1 out of every 10 times, so it’s really frustrating. Lately it’s been taking forever to connect, even on WiFi. And if the call isn’t picked up on either end, it hasn’t been showing up on recent history. Super frustrating. I had previously given this 4 stars, but I’ve got to drop it as it seems to be getting worse, not better.

Horrible app. I purchased this app so I can have another line on my phone, however when I was sending texts, most of them didn’t go through. When I contacted customer service, they were taking too long to respond, asking me to do a lot of work for them, for example to do tests for them to see if it’s fixed and it wasn’t fixed. It took hours from my part to help them resolve the issue and they never resolved it. This app is unreliable because you wouldn’t even know if the person has received your text or not. It’s 50/50, I know because I did endless tests on my personal phone. When I asked them to reimburse me, they refused saying they can’t since iTunes had charged me. So, really, it’s a waste of your 10$ and also they make it automatic renewal for you to continue paying and in order to remove it, you have to go through many steps, which is also a hassle. Do not recommend!

Do not port your number to this company!!!. We have been trying unsuccessfully to port out our business number from line2 to our local provider. 6-7 unsuccessful attempts. The local sends in exactly the information that line2 says they need and something is always wrong. Port requests are denied with various errors and line2 tech people deny that they even received a request. Either they are incompetent using their own system or unethical in stringing out into paying more monthly fees. We feel like our well known, long standing phone number is being held hostage by this company. Considering legal action. Even without the failures in porting out, the Mac OS app doesn’t work well. Hard to manage multiple lines on desktop app. Too expensive compared to other options. iPhone app is better as far as multiple line but often the call quality is poor or connections dropped. Needs a very fast WiFi connection.

Glitchy but great when it works. This app can be really helpful when it works. I often have trouble with phone calls going through when initially dialing out. Calls fail at least a few times a week. People on the other end often mention bad sound quality... crackling sound on voicemails and on phone calls. Also it tries to connect with my car’s Bluetooth and turns off any radio or other source already being played through the system in operation whenever I get in the car and start going (specifically when I’m not using the phone). It will show on my dashboard of the car that a phone call is connected (to my own cell phone). Delayed response when hitting buttons in the app/phone to start or end a call. Sometimes I hit the button to end a call and it doesn’t show ended so I hit it again and then next thing you know I am dialing the person back because it hit it twice.

Does it really need a text language filter?. I use this app for my business line and have found in the past 5-6 months that messages will not send, which I originally attributed to poor signal. It soon became apparent that any message that contained a swear word was met with a refusal to send. I hate to say it, but swearing is necessary in business; not between the business and customer but more between colleagues. Also I shouldn’t have to scrutinize my messages and change my usual personal tone so I can send a text. Even more-so, I shouldn’t have to think of a better way to text my coworker to ask for a rivet gun because the message got rejected because it contained the word “gun”. I have been using this app for about 4 years but I think it is time to find one meant for adults, as my business has obviously outgrown this one.

Review. Generally, it’s a good app. I value the second line on a single phone the most. I have had good to excellent call quality 90% of the time - Virgin Mobile/Sprint in the metro D.C. area. I’m self-employed and have no need for the advanced features that get promoted so much. There are a few downsides that I’ve learned to live with: uploaded contacts don’t allow customization; multiple notifications of confirmation of a choice that need to be clicked before moving on; faxing separate and over priced; and some others that I can’t recall at this time, but if I could find an app that resolves those issues, I would switch. Despite that perspective, I would and do recommend Line2 to others.

10 DLC has ruined line 2.. I run a busy physician office where we often send patients text messages about their appointments. Ever since Line 2 signed up our office for the 10 DLC Registration it has been absolutely horrible. They will routinely shut off our text messages for up up to 48 hours with no warning. It can take an hour to reach their customer service agents. once they agree to reestablish it, it’s a minimum of a few hours to a few days for them to get us back online. The worst part, our client/patients have no idea that the system is down because they send a text message and they get confirmation as if it went through. We cannot see the text messages they sent, cannot retrieve them later, they just disappear. This is absolutely horrific if you run a time-critical office, a professional office, or you want to keep your clients. People will think that you didn’t respond and you will have no way to contact them or figure out who tried to reach you during the downtime. Line 2 has no idea how many text messages it takes to set off the spam filter, and they don’t have direct control over it so they have to contact a third-party company, which takes additional time. If it happens on the weekend, forget it. Nothing will happen till Monday.

False Advertising. This app supposedly offers a free version and/or a free trial. The process is confusing when you’re attempting to create an account. There is a $9.99/mo version and I selected the free “standard” version since I wasn’t sure how much I would like the app. As soon as I clicked on “standard”, I received an error message from the app telling me that I have already signed up for the app previously and that another “free trial” would not be extended to me. I have *never* created an account for this app in my life, nor have I even downloaded it until today. These guys are scammers. I’ll find another calling app where at least the fine print is displayed up front and the creators are not engaging in shady practices to make money.

Great app and very useful but.... It does the job (almost) the only issue I have is when receiving calls my phone doesn’t ring, all I get once whoever is calling me and it goes to VM is a ding saying I have a missed call??? Tried everything but still nothing. Please fix I’d love to keep the app and i pay monthly so it’s not free but what’s the point if I’m not going to get any calls. If fixed I will be keeping the app if not I’m just going to cancel my subscription. I’m so glad I didn’t pay for the whole year was thinking about it but I thought I’d give it a try first. If this gets fixed I will change my 3 star rating to a 5.

Spam calls out of control. For the past 6 months everyday getting random calls that last 44 seconds but never hear the phone ring nor does it show as a missed call. Contact customer service took weeks to get a reply only to be told they have to see the issue happen in a 24 hour span I emailed them about 20 plus examples of the issue for the next week. They supposedly did testing only to be told there nothing that can be done about it so all day my team has to call back all these phone numbers from all over the country to either recieve this number is disconnected or we didn’t call you. Been a loyal customer for years with no satisfaction at all customer service doesn’t even exist then send a rating survey to funny. Why sell business services if you don’t value other small businesses who rely on your service but they know how to stalk you for there payment and up charges for texting which is just another money grab I guess it’s time to move on or create a better option for all hardworking small business owners this service isn’t worth the money at all.. horrible customer service problems never solved rare updates or upgrades and no credit off when the app decides not to work properly… I wouldn’t recommend this even if it where FREE!!

I’ve been looking for this solution for a while. This is a fantastic way to combine two phone lines on one phone! I’ve been using my corporate phone for five years now and didn’t want to lose my personal phone number. So I was paying a monthly service fee to Verizon to simply forward all of my calls. From time to time I would price other services but the savings didn’t seem worth the hassle of switching over. One day I searched online to see if anyone else had similar problems and came across the Line2 website. At first I thought it was too good to be true so I did my research, read reviews, looked them up on BBB, etc. it was exactly what I was looking floor! It was very easy to enroll and port my number over to them the app is user-friendly and does everything I would want to do. The only thing I would change is that when a call comes in from my personal line, the caller ID doesn’t work. It just says that the call is coming from me. But that’s a relatively insignificant thing against everything else it does. I love this service and recommend it to everyone who has to carry two phones!!

Honest Opinion. Overall it’s one of my favorite apps to use as a second line but my only complaint is that it’s really slow when it comes to opening text messages and sending them. I don’t know if it’s the app on my processor but I have an iPhone 7 Plus so Aside from sending text messages on this app my phone is lightning fast still to date. I still recommend the app if it’s just for casual use. It beats buying a second phone. Butted if you Frequently text multiple people simultaneously during ur day-to-day than this app won’t keep up with you. Oh and if your phone is on “LOW POWER MODE” you won’t receive ANY notifications if the app isn’t open. (I missed some really important messages that were time sensitive that way) 🤦‍♀️

Pretty good for small business. It has been reliable and consistent for small business use with occasional phone needs. We get more junk calls than good ones so wish there was a way to filter those out. The voice message to text in an email is our favorite feature. The voice mail in general works well. For some reason, most phone calls are first dropped and then we have to try again. There is a slight delay so we often talk over people. Highest on our wish list would be the ability to create a list of contacts just for line 2. We’d like to at least be able to add a name to a recent phone number. We use Line 2 on our personal phone too which is great for receiving and making calls - keeps them separate from our personal number, but dislike the fact that it wants to access our personal contacts. Overall good value for our needs.

Line 2 is just great as placeholder personal line. I always have company phones- my last employer let me keep number- new one said they would not, didn’t want to tell all my personal contacts I had new number, especially if I was going to need to change it again when I left new job. Line 2 allows me to keep old number and call text from it on new company phone. And not have to carry another device or have another cell plan (new company phone has unlimited cell data) all for 90 bucks a year!

Use for business. Have been using line2 for several years now. Once I figured out how to extend the number of rings before voicemail (config on web) this app has been good. Works reasonably reliably and meets my needs fairly well. I wish it had a separate contact list so I would not need to have personal and business contacts merged. Also wish the call log would not appear in the regular phone app's list merged with the call log from the primary phone number. It also occasionally does not ring but instead sends calls to voicemail even though I'm on a strong, reliable network connection.

It’s okay but needs improvements. I’ve been a Line2 user for over 5 years. In that time it’s worked well but then an update comes through and things change, sometimes things get better, sometimes they get worse. Most updates are for the better but occasionally they mess up something. Currently the latest update has somehow caused me to see calls after I’ve missed them instead of getting them when they come in. Luckily this is a rarely used work line so it’s not a huge imposition. Figure it’ll get fixed at next update. Need to add ability to share contact info via SMS. Also need to be able to support videos thru MMS.

LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP.. I’ve been using this app for around ten years now and I’ll have to say that in all that time, my relationship with the app is still a love/hate one. I use the app almost every day and I use it often, it really serves me very well, but then again, there these little annoying things that really gets on my last nerve, like the fact that you can’t adjust the keyboard volume with out adjusting the volume on the entire device, so The Whole world has to know that you are dialing a number, (2) The WIFI signal strength does dot show up unless the called party answers the phone, so you never know if you even have enough signal strength to even make the call. (3) If you dial a number and the called party does not answer the phone, the dialed number does not show up in your Recents call list. (4) Right now, since this last update, when dialing a number from your contact or recent call list, the software seems to take for ever to acquire the dialing UI, and there are several other little quirks that I will not mention. I do believe that with a little effort, these are all things that the developers can easily fix if they wanted to. But in spite of all that, I still think it’s a great app and would highly recommend it, so go ahead and give it a whirl for 30 days for free, what have you got to lose? You may just find that you like it.

DON’T USE THIS SERVICE!!!!. Unless you want to grow 10 years older in 2 days. Phone support is very hard to reach, heavy accent and they don’t care to solve your issue. They’ll do everything possible to get you to red rough the help files instead of solving actual issues. I started using them and ported my current cell number to them and 3 days later I have 2 tickets open, left 4 voicemail and no one called back yet and yesterday a rep by the name SOI Pitt me on a brief hold, left me there listening to music and 10 minutes later I get an email that a ticket was open for my issue. Stayed on hold for 10 more minutes and she never picked the phone again. I’m 24 hours past my second ticket, 48 from my first, still can’t receive calls and the support line continues to demand me to leave voicemail. They shouldn’t be in business.

Over a Decade of Declining Service.. For the past year there are times where the app will just log out entirely. Then it refuses to recognise the credentials to login. This was remedied by a password change before, because it was at least possible to login to the website. Not anymore. It’s now only possible to login to a dashboard link that allows no changes and is currently only useful as a way to view received texts. Being this has been used as a primary phone number for over a decade, only because the alternatives are even worse, it’s difficult to leave. After messaging support and receiving no assistance at all, that even more painful option of leaving the app for good seems even more likely than ever. Why pay for a service that doesn’t work and doesn’t work well when it does and then provides no support to make it work? Typically after a certain amount of time a service that has somehow managed to exist should be expected to improve. In this case it’s obvious that quite the obvious is true. No Thank You Line2.

Does what I want it to do. UPDATE: We have now gotten rid of our legacy office phone system and everyone is using iPhones with Line2. It works great. Phone ring on Line2 and iPhone simultaneously. Voicemails are emailed to you for easy listening and forwarding. It just works. Another great update. It's pretty amazing to be able to manage a second line from my iPhone. In fact, we use Line2 for our company. It's not perfect, but it's close. And it keeps getting better. UPDATE: great job on the new version. It’s beautiful. I like the design better than my native phone app. (I said it).

Currently Experiencing Issues Since Newest Update. I have been using this app for several years now and over the span of those years I have occasionally had some minor issues with this app. However, the most recent update is giving me more issues than normal and is causing me to lose in coming calls. Example, when I go to place a call now there is a delay before the call is initiated, making you think it did not take, so you click it again, and again, then all of a sudden it pops up with all these calls attempting to be in queue. At that point you attempt to cancel them or hang up the calls, but they won’t close. 2nd example, more calls are being dropped than usual, there are a few more issues but i have only addressed the major problem ones, at least during my use of new update. The other thing that lags is the new missed call pop up that appears if you miss a call. Calls that come in ring once then drop off, no warning. And no, my call session is not set to 1 ring, it is at least 5 before it should be answered. Although I have these issues currently, I still overall like this app, maybe because it has been very good up until now.

Technical issues to the very end.. I initially got their service for a business project. I then used it on my resume. Soon, many people had the number, and I needed to keep it. Then the issues started. Two weeks of not being able to send texts. The reward? A rate increase. My number starts getting spoofed. Their resolution? “Just get a new number.” That was enough for me to decide to port out. I found a carrier, and started the process. They kept changing my info and rejecting the port (an FCC violation). After several attempts to port, and discovering they blocked it, I contacted them and said my next call was to the FCC. In total, it took TWO WEEKS to port out. They finally complied in the end. DO NOT use this service for anything other than a burner number, and even then use a different service.

Avoid at all costs, terrible customer service. Line2, if you're reading this, you can thank your employee "Brian C" for causing you to lose a customer today. I would give Line2 negative stars if I could. I was a loyal customer for years, but I am now leaving this disrespectful company and will instead use Skype. The customer service from Line2 is the most wildly unprofessional I have ever seen. I spent over 9 hours trying to get in contact with Line2 over a billing issue that I wanted to quickly resolve so that I could pay Line2 and resume using their service. After many calls and messages, I reached a polite man on the phone who tried his best to help me but couldn't. My many emails went unanswered, I often encountered bots who ignored me on the online chat system, and finally, "Brian C" said he would ban me from the online messaging system after I told him that the company was acting unprofessionally and that I would need to delete my account if they couldn't resolve the billing issue. My interaction with Brian was the final straw after many negative experiences over the years with this horrible company (and during the holiday season in a pandemic, how tactless). Congratulations, Brian, you have worsened your company's reputation.

An OK small business option. We’ve used the service for 2 years; we are quite mobile, mainly working in client homes. Pros: ability to recognize incoming business calls from personal; good voicemail system; good call handling and forwarding capability; generally reliable service; reasonable cost. Cons: occasional trouble making outbound calls (calls don’t complete), occasional static on calls, problems transferring calls to private mode from vehicle Bluetooth system, inability to control our caller ID display. UPDATE: It’s been 3 years now, same problems but seem more frequent. The app is erratic enough that we’re looking around for other options.

Rating depends on how critical it is needed. I’ve used Line2 for over 3 years. Have it on an iPhone 6s the whole time if it makes a difference. Sometimes the app works well. Sometimes I have not gotten a text for several hours after it was sent. I’ve also had voicemails show up when it didn’t ring. Tech support doesn’t seem to have a good answer. Maybe if it didn’t use WiFi or gave a choice to turn it off. When making an important call, I’ve chosen to turn off WiFi on the phone and it seems to operate with better call completion and clarity. All in all, I like the idea. Needs to be more consistent for business as I rely on it too much. I’m looking at other options. If there’s a free trial, it might be worth trying. Maybe it works better for you.

Great solution for small business. It is really great to have just one app in which I can manage all of my business calls, texts, and voicemails because I can monitor it closely during business hours and ignore it after hours. There is no pressure to change the number when I change phones. It just solved the whole problem of how people contact me to do business. If you are familiar with renting a mailbox to to get a postal address for your small business, this app is exactly like that in the context of getting a business phone number. It just solves the problem for you in one step. The price is very fair because the solution just works.

Awful Customer Service and Terrible Call Quality. The call quality is like making an international call 30 years ago or like playing the game telephone—garbled and unintelligible. The notifications you receive for calls are also quite inconsistent. Very often, important calls would simply not ring on my iPhone and navigating their convoluted system settings to fix the problem didn’t help. Finally, I decided to port out my Line2 number to a cellular carrier. I continue to encounter problems with the port request from Line2–everything from an invalid PIN (which Line2 provides, btw) to an invalid address (even though it’s definitely my address). I have been calling Line2’s customer service number (on hold for 45 mins before asking me to leave a message, and they never call back) and emailing them (4 messages/tickets started but no reply) but it’s like they know I want to leave their service and refuse to help. This whole company is a nightmare to deal with. If you port your number to them, be prepared to walk away and lose your number, because that’s the point I am fast approaching.

Necessary for my business, but not great.. Having two lines in my phone with two different area codes is critical to my business. I travel abroad a lot and having the ability to make WiFi calls is also vital. Unfortunately I wish I had a better option than Line 2, as the call quality is often quite poor and the whole app is quite glitchy. I can use WhatsApp for a perfectly clear call and then use Line 2 immediately after and the call sound is worse and has moments that are distorted and often with an apparent delay. The app freezes a lot with a few weird repeating issues, one of which is that a phone call will often not hang up until the phone is turned off and back on again. Also, I’m not sure why, but I seem to get more spam calls on my Line 2 number than on my primary line. I never read the fine print when I agreed to the terms, but I am assuming that Line 2 is selling their customer numbers. I do need that second number and the ability to make WiFi calls, but I’ll tell you, I use Line 2 as a last resort and as little as possible. It is reliable and good for texts though.

Good business tool in general.. I’ll give this one 4 stars as I’ve been using it for years now. The good points about it are that it interfaces well with the contacts app already on your phone. Works very well as a separate line and has its own texting function. It used to have a feature where my wife was able to get and access my VM from her phone. Then she could notify me of who to respond to first. Which allowed me to ignore the phone and just keep working. I only had to respond to her calls. They took that feature away. Please bring it back. I found it very useful in a micro business situation. Also the latest update seems to be dropping an inordinate amount of calls. I think you guys are trying to do too many updates. Once it’s working leave it alone. Update: I’m currently running iOS 14. The current version of Line2 doesn’t play nice with it. I can no longer attach a photo to any texts. You can select a photo but the app always fails to process it. Then the app locks up most of the time. I wrote to customer service and pointed out the issue. Their response was they needed more information. ??? Don’t they have iPhones with pics? Not being able to attach pictures to client’s texts is a serious serious issue that renders the app a 2 star app. FIX IT!!!

Dont use!. This is a horrible app. Its always glitchy. Doesnt work like it intended too. The voice call is substandard. I just spent about 400 bucks on this with three lines. Im finding another service because my customers are complaining and i’ll eat the money. Save yourself the time and money. I will write this off as a loss. Just a note for everybody that thinks this a some false review. Ive been a customer for more than three years with at least 3 lines. I have been extremely hesitant to do research to find another service because of the time that it takes. Also the implementation into my business of a new service would take a lot of time and manpower. Ive worked with line2 through many problems in the last 3 years but im just done.

Outage-Refund???. How in the world do you run a telephone company in this day and age without having SMS capabilities? I understand outages happen, but this is beyond ridiculous. We’re going on a week with no text messaging? Most people rely on this for business, what is the company going to do to offset our lost business and compensate us? Unless something big is done fast, I recommend everybody contacting Verizon or AT&T and porting your number. Would be much cheaper to port and set up a forward then to continue to lose business this way. So I revived a form letter response from the developer… now what I want to know is what are they going to to do for us (the entire line2 community) to make up for putting us out of business for over a week??

Only Line2 to Line for 10$, Spam stay away. Well, I am a new customer, I might change my review, but so far, I haven’t seen anything positive from Line2, since I downloaded it, it started to freeze up, it is slow, I bought the Standard plan for unlimited SMS and unlimited Calls, but it is not letting me text people unless they are Line 2 customer, that does not make sense- we are talking about 13,20$ charge/mo and what is Business App not kids kind of thing. I still can make call, quality is So so. I tried to call like 10x they just don’t want to pick up the phone, well you still can send Email... wait till they respond. What is frustrating is that when you buy the plan they mention unlimited sms and call to US/ Canada from anywhere and when you use it. Not even 1 sms. Still waiting for a solution otherwise I am gonna cancel the whole thing and report to App Store. 3 days Trial( they charge you at the first min you pick your plan). 30 days money back well I will see if that is True... but hopefully they will fix the issue.

It’s a good app, but room for improvement. I’ve been using Line2 for the last few years to keep my business line separate from my personal. And I love that this app does that for me. There are a couple of drawbacks however that make it hard for professional use. I really wish their call audio was better, it sounds really low quality and (metallic?) As a radio engineer I know the sound of a cheap pots DAC all too well! Also here on the App Store because I’m reinstalling as it was crashing sometimes when making a call or when a call ended. I have not had any spam calls on this number whatsoever, And I’m sooo happy about that. Thank you for not selling these numbers, huge plus for me. I do wish there was a way to silence and calls txts from some numbers however. All These little things are important when targeting a business audience as it reflects professionally. So There are a few things I really wish were better, but in the end it does what it’s supposed to. I hope to see this app continue to evolve.

Never had such bad customer service. The problem first came up when I couldn’t place any outgoing calls from the app. Like many people, I was using this app for business purposes and it was critical for me to be placing calls with my Line2 number instead of my personal number. I tried rebooting the app, uninstalling it and then reinstalling it, turning my phone on/off. Nothing helped. I called customer support and couldn’t get through to a person. I then created a support ticket and wrote that my issue was urgent (I was missing out on making business calls that day). I also tried engaging with the chat feature on their website, hoping that I could somehow speak to a human to resolve my urgent issue. However, the sales chat person said my only option was to submit a support ticket. Thanks for nothing. Two whole days go by. I hear from no one. No emails, no calls. No help or resolution. 6 days later (8 days after my initial support request) I finally received an email with instructions to resolve my issue. I honestly don’t even know if those steps worked because by that time I had cancelled my Line2 subscription. I was reminded to write this review because I received an email from their support team today saying that they were happy to report that “this issue has been resolved.” This email came 2.5 MONTHS later. Wow. Glad I dropped them when I did.

It’s ok service. Calls done always come through, calls get dropped or people just can’t hear me. Messages show as being there but they aren’t. This all happens even when i have full bars on my phone or even when I’m using WiFi. Sometimes won’t let me call out, it doesn’t have my name saved as the number in the top right but has my brokerage i work for instead when it doesn’t belong to them. Pictures doing go through or come in visible, phone doesn’t ring sometimes when calls come in just sends notifications that there is a missed call.

Do not waste your money. After about 30 hours of my using (and paying for) the app, it logged me off, tried to call customer service to ask wha happened they mentioned their server detected that I’m “ Fraud “ and I’m asking people for information, I explained in dispatcher in locksmith company and just text technicians information and which address to go and what kind of job they will do , or text my customers asking them for pictures for locks and safes needed to be drilled and so on , I asked customer service not to depend on computer detection and they can go and check the messages I’m sending, they basically careless unhelpful bunch of thief’s, I had to go through apple to file a complain and get refund , didn’t have a chance to test service will but all what I can say that I do my job with other applications fine without any body to get his nose in my business and and don’t want even spend a minute before insulting me and claiming that I’m “ Fraud “

Unreliable. We use this in our office and it is so aggravating. There are issues with the app not working at least once a week. We have to log out of all devices quite often. It will ring and not let you answer the call then takes a few minutes for the missed call to show up on your recent calls. There are so many times we try to call out and it won’t connect. When you call support, they repeat all the steps you’ve already done and it works for 20 minutes. Then it stops working again. There are so many times our patients are unable to reach us bc the unreliability of this app. It’s cheap, that’s the only pro, but you certainly get what you pay for.

Odd behavior from the App. I’ve been using Line2 for three days and sometimes it behaves oddly when I place calls using my data service. Sometimes, Line2 data calls do not connect at all. I will see Connecting…and the call never connects. When I placed the same call immediately using my native cell phone app, the call connects as expected. Since I am now less confident using data, I started placing calls using my cellular service and I find another unusual occurrence. Line2 cellular calls will open an additional pop up window and ask you to call from another number. This other number is a Line2 Gateway and shows “Toktumi, Inc.” It seems to work well enough and the receiving phone will show your Line2 phone number correctly. It’s just an unexpected behavior.

Great service, but sluggish. The line2 app has been great for business related calls. We love the call forwarding so we can work on the go. However, the app is very sluggish. Logging in is slow at times, and swapping between the call log and messages takes a while to load too. The call quality is a little poor through the app, but when the calls are forwarded the call quality is much better. This means we try to stay logged out, and only log in to check our text messages. The text messaging thru the computer is non-existant. We can see the messages if we download via csv file, but it would be great if we could respond to messages through the website. Also, I would like to see an update where we get notifications via email for new text messages. Thank you!

Totally awesome for expats. This app is totally awesome for expats. I tried other apps but they did t allow a foreign cell phone to be the primary number. Line2 does and it works flawlessly for me. I even ported a Skype phone number and now I can receive texts from the US for two-factor authentication. The call screening feature has cut back on marketing calls and is worth the price of admission alone. My US number is my business number and I will be using the virtual switchboard feature soon. I am very happy and highly recommend this app. UPDATE: My Line2 number works with WhatsApp for Business for iOS. So now I have two mobile numbers each with their own WhatsApp account... on ONE device. Works perfectly!

Been using for more than a year. I’ve using the service for more than a year and I am disappointed. Although the functions are there, the shortcomings are numerous. For example, messaging does not allow videos or .vcards to come through. In addition, the phone service is very spotty, especially when you compare to your normal cellular service, even though it is supposed to be the same thing. The quality just isn’t what it should be. Last, the service will identify that the strength isn’t very good and will ask you if you want to switch signals in the middle of a call and if you elect to do it, it will hang up your call. Bottom line, this just isn’t seamless. There seem to be new bugs when releases come out. For example, you can no longer telephone numbers into the dialing screen, which is certainly annoying when you don’t want to dial with your main line from an email or other link.

Double Billing Nightmare AVOID. This answer doesn’t make sense - how can you not see transactions from a third party?? So anyone who pays via Apple doesn’t get credit for paying?? How does this make sense? So you cancel everyone’s line if they pay via Apple because you can’t see the transaction? Where does the money go then???? It disappears into thin air? Absolutely Horrible. Avoid this app at all costs unless you want to argue with them about their mistake. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I have used this app as my second line number for over ten years and was happy. However last week I got a notice that my account was past due. That’s odd I thought, I’ve been paying monthly via my apple subscription for 10 years. So I called customer service and found out that since 2018 they have been billing me annually on a card that is now closed - hence the problem when they tried to run my annual subscription this week. No problem I thought, they will see that I have been double billed and do the right (aka LEGAL) thing and refund me for all the double bills which totals nearly $600 now. Nope. They just tell me they can’t do anything and that because the agreement they sent me over 5 years ago had some fine print in it that I was supposed to cancel my subscription on Apple they did their due diligence and I’m out of luck. I balked and was told that a supervisor may call me in 24-72 hours. Let’s see if they actually do.

Glitchy. Phone does not always ring. I get an email that alerts me to voicemail, or else I would never know I got a call. Forwarding to this app is unreliable. No feature to change ringtones. Forgive me if I don’t contact Customer Support, because when I did it the first time because I could not forward my work phone to my Line 2 number, I was told to contact my cell phone provider. You assured me the problem was with them. Then, when that turned out to be untrue, you told me my free trial period was over, when in fact I had been paying for the app for 4 months. What the problem turned out to be was Apple billed me a day late and so you simply stopped serving me. So, I don’t really have a lot of faith in your abilities. Update: I contacted customer support because I am unable to make calls, the app freezes up, and when a call finally does go through, nobody can hear me. The response was via auto responder to look up the solution myself, which I have already done to no avail.

This app rocks. It gives a free number to receive calls thank you toktumi::)) continue this app in australia

What's going on. I try to type in my number but it just goes back to the home screen errrrrr

Couldn’t receive incoming calls. Very bad support, incoming calls not working and goes straight as missed call. It’s been more than 5 days and no response from support. Need refund for the amount paid.

❌ SCAM! ❌. Warning!!! App doesn’t work! Once you sign up and pay, your account never registers and remains unusable. Support never respond. Should have read reviews online before signing up. Will be requesting a refund. Wouldn’t recommend this. Don’t know how people get away with scams like these.

Calls often drop out. Calls drop out and sometimes calls will not connect. I occasionally have to call clients and prospects from my own number as it often rings on their end and does not connect when they answer

Not recommended in australia. Really shouldn't be in the australian app store. I brought the monthly subscription, wasted $15. Gives you an international number and works exactly like one (both calling in and out) not user friendly down under.

Worst. The connection constantly drops. The only thing Line2 has going for them is their pleasant customer service

Text messages don’t send randomly. The app has trouble sending “some” text messages. Their whole messaging system is broken.

Does not right. When it works it’s great. Unfortunately it does not always ring.

Not as good as used to be .. but some signs of improvement. I’m now updating an older negative review. I’m an old loyal customer of Line2 and was sad to see that some times you can’t receive incoming calls. However, this now improved but receiving sms is not guaranteed. In many cases you never receive such messages specially those meant for verification such as Google messages. I love Line2 and do urge support department to the messages problem seriously .

Bug. Hi, when I want to listen my voicemail, the app closes automatically. It doesn't work anymore... Will you fix it? Thank you

Handy. Line2 is a very handy service. I especially like the texting feature. At times the call quality can leave something to be desired.

Censored SMS. After Line2 had a nearly week long outage, they seem to have put “spam” filters in place for SMS messages which appears to drop certain messages or prevent you from sending messages. It’s garbage now in my opinion. I recommend looking at other options.

It’s lie. Doesn’t work

Needs an update - calls don’t connect properly. *** please update the calling capabilities *** I’ve been using line 2 for over a year now. For the most part it works pretty well, especially for texting. The problem comes when I have to make calls and the app takes so long to make the call, or drops the call, or it is a poor connection that I almost always give up and use my personal line instead. One feature I do love though, is the feature where a caller has to state their name before the call will go through. This cuts down on a lot of spam. Thank you for that feature.

Rubbish. Your service is very poor and waste of money

Scam. Hello this is my third time contacting this customer support for a dutiful refund after I was told I would have a 2 month free trial it was charged instantly. If you do not respond again I’ll be forced to carry out legal action Thank you

Help. There is absolutely no support. No one responds to your message you send. Been trying to get my phone ported and I have no idea if the port is going through or not!

Login issues & could not call. Don’t buy this app. I had a lot of login issues, couldn’t pass many calls.

Don’t get this app. It does not work. Calls go straight to voicemail and does not ring. Help line does not respond

Sign up process. I can’t even submit my address. Can’t get past signup process.

Does not ring for incoming calls.. The voice mail and text service is excellent, but I cannot get it to ring on incoming calls it goes strait to voicemail and the online and app FAQ don’t seem to have the answers. I contacted the company and the promptly responded but wanted the last 4 digits of my credit card to answer my question, which I thought was weird. Either way, I still cannot receive calls which kind of defeats the purpose.

SMS still hasn’t been fixed... I asked them to fix this problem like 3 weeks ago. Sms alerts no longer works and overall quality of sound is just terrible.. I paid for 1 year upfront and so far been using it since the sumner. A lot of issues..

Line2 review. I’ve had this account for a few years now and although the price is good the performance is not exactly the best. When talking with others the line cuts in and out often and at times drops. Texting is ok as long as you don’t expect attachments as they sometimes get lost? I’ve contacted customer service and had very little success resolving the issues mentioned above.

Sam. I have been using line2 for over 2 years. Calls have been dropping and sometimes pictures is not supported by Line2. I really do hope that the creator of this application sees this and fixes it. Otherwise there is no problem with it. When this is improved, I can then give a 5 start to this application.

Review. It is getting better but drops a lot of calls thank you

Over priced. Great idea but not executed well, slow unresponsive, bad connectivity on calls doesn't keep sms and now with the price hike it's not worth it anymore, Line2 needs to up their game

Have used the system for 2+ years. I chose this system after extensive research. It has served my business very well, allowing the load of incoming/ outgoing calls to be shared between owners, managers, staff as needed. I have taken business calls on houseboats and on different continents. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this service (and I already have several times).

Glitchy & Inconsistent. Line2 is the best way for me to have an American number for my family and friends to call or text. And I used to use it for business. I have yet to find something that can replace it, but it is no longer something for which I can give a glowing review. But for well over a year there have been chronic outages, inconsistent performance, and regrettable customer service. They also have not kept up with robust technology that would allow it to function completely like a normal wireless number. Too often I have to tell family and friends that they will have to email certain files as Line2 supports only a very few types of data sharing. When the government or big three cell phone providers came out with new rules for these types of service providers, Line2 failed to give all the information needed to decide whether or not to continue using it for business purposes. They essentially wanted business owners to sign on the dotted line and then find out after signing how much the added costs would be. That is a very poor way of doing business. No wise person would sign a contract blindly.

I don’t get the phone calls. It goes straight to voicemail. Ive contacted them for support and still nothing.

Crash. App is unusable and keeps freezing and crashing. Gets stuck on the loading screen

No showing notifications. For some reason I’m not getting the calls in my phone, I just get the missed call! I have the phone on my hand but I wouldn’t show the calls, I only get the missed call. And I verified calling from another phone to see but still does the same thing.

Not happy. Waisting money ! My call always dropped and you need internet too to use the service

Line2 Team, do something.... I'm using Line2 since many years now. Very good software but... what is becoming very boring is the so many false calls that I'm receiving and growing. At such a point that I had to send all of the messages received to my voice box automatically. No more direct answering. It takes me a lot of time, each day, to check them and I'm adding most of those numbers to my unwanted list. Many of them are 5-minute calls with a strange noise or nothing at all. Please, Line2 team, do something about it ! Michel J. Grenier Line2 888.799.7201

Poor Quality Phone Calls. The quality when I take a call on my laptop sucks. I can barely hear the other person.

Bad reception. Terrible reception. Off and I can barely use Line2 to make a phone call.

Text/SMS works on and off and is unreliable. Clients have not received our texts sometimes for weeks without us knowing as the SMS feature doesn’t always work. Found out from Line2 support that we need to manually reset our lines weekly which is a complete hassle. Only saving grace is the cheap price

It’s ok. Convenient and inexpensive, but call clarity and connection is very poor most of the time.

Loving it. Love line2, love the service and the app but why can’t we change this ringtone on iOS ?

It is not working at all. Outgoing message is not working…. Worst app ever

Issues. Low volume and on phone unless you’re on speaker phone. They hear you, you can barely hear them. Texts don’t work as they should. You will receive text, but texts never get to destination.

Their system is set up to just restrict accounts ?. I got a number and I paid for it after filling my email and my real number. I can only receive texts from people but when I send out it’s not working as my sent message just disappears. Email is

Hello. was going to subscribe for one month, but I accidentally pressed it for one year and canceled it immediately, but one year's worth was paid Please give me a refund

Line 2. Excellent service Thé Best Buy for me in my last 20 years….. Major Pierre

Cant send texts. I paid my subscription for a service that doesnt work. since july 19, you cant send texts. waste of over $20 and I will be asking apple for a refund.

Line2 and Censorship. The app works well however the censorship Line2 applies to outgoing text messages is a deal breaker. Line2 monitors and censors all text messages sent using the Line2 app. Line2 applies, somewhat inconsistently, a monitoring mechanism that looks for certain key words in text messages sent by users. When a keyword has been detected you are presented with a “Message not sent. We’re sorry, we weren’t able to send your message” popup. and you are forced to modify your text in order to send your message. When asked why Line2 was censoring private text messages I was told, by Line2 support staff that the FCC in the US required Line2 to censor all of our text messages. Staff at Line2 were unwilling or unable to provide me with any further information about this FCC requirement. While the Line2 app is quite good their covert monitoring and censorship practices are reason enough for anyone not to use this platform.

Don’t know other solution for my needs. it’s almost completely useless I barely used it But I need to keep my phone line for my what’s up number, and others. When I decided to go full time cruising I wanted to take my phon number with me without keeping the existing plan that I had since I’m changing country every week almost Starlink fixed the internet but the phone number I haven’t yet found another solution This app doesn’t allow receiving phone calls I only get the voice mail or missed call alert Even while playing in the app I used sometimes to make some phone calls but most of the time doesn’t work all sorts of errors No more minutes !!! On an unlimited plan ( please contact support ) when u press contact support and compose your email it says email not found Any many more Avoid if u can !!!!!

Doesn’t work, poor data management. I spent the $14 to see if it would work. When I tested it out it went straight to voicemail. The more concerning part is when I signed up, I got a confirmation email. The email displayed in full what my account password is. If someone accessed my email they can easily steal my password. Thankfully this wasn’t a repeat password. This MUST be fixed.

Really wanted like it. I signed with Line2 in March 2022 and when it worked it worked fine. But unfortunately between March and July they had 2 outages. Both lasted a few days. Then in mid July, outgoing text messaging stopped working. This lasted about 2 weeks! Unacceptable. I had to cancel; couldn’t risk having more issues. It is unfortunate because I will say that when it worked it was great and their support was readily available via chat.

Login broken after last update. Login is completely broken after last update - number field is very fussy about pattern, not easily edited, sign in button remains disabled when it should not be. Looks like web page developers tasked with performing real programming and not up to the task.

I never saw a worst app in my life. It’s terrible you can’t call anyone

Dropped calls. Lately it’s been dropping calls. Where’s the update?

Decent app, but can be a bit glitchy. I have used this for our business in lieu of an additional phone for two years now. Generally it is pretty good and has worked well, but sometimes there is issues with delayed or missed messages and photos not coming through in a timely manner. The biggest issue though is the call delay. There is a noticeable second or so delay when speaking to people over the phone. It is a bit better when using WiFi but still there.

If only I could give negative stars…. A bit long but bare with me. I’ve used Line 2 for nearly 10 years for a lack of better alternatives. I’m abroad and need a Canadian number to be reached. Not only have the scam calls increased in the last year as someone else mentioned to daily occurrences, but last month, while waiting for my new credit card to arrive from abroad, my old one expired. I missed a payment for 15 days and my line was put on hold. I switched to my new card right away but my services were not restored. Can’t make or receive calls, can’t receive or send sms. A month of going back and forth with email support was useless. Finally, after spending 3 hours on a Skype call with support, the only thing they accomplished was “accidentally” getting me to delete a very valuable SMS thread that I needed for court to escape an abusive marriage and save my daughter by getting full custody. There were death threats in this now lost thread that my lawyer needed as evidence. Their “techs” were clueless to the fact that it would all be deleted if I logged out and back in even though I explained in detail that the thread spans back over a year. Then, they were clueless as to how to retrieve it. They also didn’t call back when the call dropped as they had promised while I was still trying to resolve the issue. This app and its incompetent techs have now cost me thousands more dollars in court, and the possible loss of full custody of my child, where now in a possible in a shared custody situation, she will 100% be abused by a mentally unstable, alcoholic parent. Thanks, Line 2! There is no way to extract your data or SMS history. Before or after logging in and out. You could lose information that is valuable to you too. Please pass on this app so something awful like this doesn’t happen to you. There are much better alternatives now.

Blurry. Voice is blurry

Money Grab. if this app would allow pay as you go without automatic payments, i would use it. Company policy does not allow automatic renewal. why don’t you guys stop doing this?. I want to pay for a year, then get notified when i need to pay again. like all the other apps. Your app just renews it without consent. that’s why we can’t use it anymore.

Used to be OK but.... I used to like this app as it was progressing fast in adding feature and becoming more and more stable. However in the past year it has been crashing very often. Another issue is that you cannot select Bluetooth AirPod as the option rarely shows up. I use is as my second line and so far it has been very useful. Although other brands have the same feature and those works fine and as good as Line 2. In general, the app has regressed in quality and bugs are becoming a problem. I hope the developer starts working on stabilizing the app or might just loose the users.

Fantastic Solution. I have been using Line 2 for over a year now. I have never had any issues and it works great on both my laptop and phone. Call quality has been great and support is pretty good. I came to Line 2 when my other VOIP line started having major call quality issues. Line 2 allows my to confidently travel from country to country while managing my business.

Line 2 is very good!. If this service has VoLTE or HD voice, it would receive a perfect 5 out of 5; however, this service just flat out works really well. if T-Mobile DIGITS was wanting to know how to make their service perfect, they would have to model it around Line 2! Keep up the great work guys n gals! Better advertising would lead to more sales especially when it’s marketed towards people who use their personal phone for work and don’t want the company to know their personal number! Less than $100 a year, that’s a steal! Love this service! THANKS Line2!!!

BEWARE - RIPPED OFF!!!!!!. Yesterday, I downloaded the Line2 app on my iPad Pro. I went through the the signup process and paid for one month of service. AFTER accepting payment, the Line2 app tells me there is a problem with my name and I have to start all over again. Line2 TOOK MY MONEY and FAILED to give me a phone number. Line2 ALSO FAILED to create an account for me using the e-mail address I specified during the signup process. Bottom line, I just threw away $9.99 because a poorly written app checked for an acceptable name AFTER accepting payment. If a person’s name is so important to Line2, an alert should appear BEFORE they take your money. Speaking as a registered Apple Developer, the Line2 iOS app is poorly designed and implemented. For example, when choosing a phone number, the app does not indicate which city the phone number is associated with. The Line2 website does show the city associated with the phone number. Line2 Development team - Back to the drawing board to get your app right. If you do not know how to correct it, I DO KNOW HOW TO CORRECT IT - PAY ME TO DO THE JOB RIGHT.

Good, but needs more work. Overall it works as described but some issues. I’ve had trouble with it not pushing notifications of messages or calls through. For a while it wasn’t even pushing the calls themselves through. Also, recent updates have been scattershot: for a while we got transcriptions or voicemails unannounced, then it disappeared without warning. And for a while it would take audio a few seconds to catch up. Overall it works fine but reliability can go in and out.

Been working great for me. I have regular Line2 to Line2 calls with friends overseas and the quality is fantastic. And it works in countries that have blocked FaceTime and Skype. Line2 seems to be able to get through any firewall. I do wish they would invest more in their tools to manage contacts. What's the point of having special routing for VIPs and blocked contacts when finding and moving people into and out of those categories is so difficult on the website and not even supported in the app.

Works so well I had to review it!. When I moved to a different location I wanted to take my old phone number with me (people from 20 years ago have this number), but the local phone company said the number “wasn’t in its footprint.” Thanks to this app I still have this number on my phone and I still get more calls on it than on my “official” number. The clarity is as good as any cell call. Using it is seamless.

Customer service. Your customer service leaves a lot to be desired, impossible to get any customer support. I have upgraded my account this week and need help and over the past two days have been on hold for over 25 minutes each time and was never able to speak to anyone nor do we get return emails!! 🥵

Was never perfect but just keeps getting worse. From the beginning there were issues with missed calls, texts, and app bugs but aside from rarely updating the app to address issues, the experience just keeps getting worse without any form of support. * calls often drop before you can answer because by the time your actual phone rings, the caller has heard too many rings and hangs up * texts are often not received by the app or don’t get delivered to the recipient * trying to tap the voicemail tab to listen to messages just instantly crashes the app no matter how many times you reinstall and reboot your phone * call quality over 100mbs WiFi is so poor it’s unusable * spend 30+ minutes on hold for support only to be told by a message to call back another time * support emails are ignored and not replied to Sure it’s half the price of Grasshopper and more mature business second line products but it should be far more reliable than it really is.

Locked out of account, no response from Line2. I rarely write reviews but people should be warned off. I had a couple of phone numbers with Line2 and it used to work fine but I’ve been locked out of app for a while and I can’t get a fix. Use this as a secondary number so not urgent but it is a problem. I reset my password through the web dashboard but it’s not recognizing as soon as I log out. I can’t get into the app at all. Support is useless. I’m guessing it’s an AI. Apparently I’m not the only one with this issue. I’m not sure what happened but I would stay away from this until it’s fixed because at the moment it’s worse than worthless if you actually need to receive calls.

Great idea, nice app, poor call quality. Everything about the Line2 experience is excellent, except the audio quality of the calls. The price is right, the tech support is excellent, the app is well designed, but callers voices sound highly compressed and tinny—always annoying and often unusable. I typically have to apologize and ask people to call me back on my main number. I’ve consistently had the problem on WiFi networks at home, office, and other locations with high bandwidth, as well as on public cellular networks. If the audio quality was better, this would be one of the greatest services.

Apple continues to drop the ball. I have been using this app successfully for 2 years. All of a sudden I am unable to check my voicemails through the app (iphone) or through the dashboard on my computer (safari). Customer service reports that newer versions of iOS and safari do not support the voicemail function. The only way to check my voicemail is to work around through chrome. Super frustrating as this is not the first app that I’ve encountered this with over the past 6 months. And all have been apps that are used regularly to support my small business.

Great app, just what I wanted. I have use the Line2 app for about five years. I have a psychotherapy private practice, and did not want to get a second phone. I also wanted to be able to identify whether calls were personal or professional before I answered. This app has worked perfectly, has done everything that I had hoped it would do. There have been no glitches. In addition, the Wi-Fi calling has been very helpful when I am done international traveling. I strongly recommend Line2.

Jack. Excellent 2nd phone number, I use it for my business. Having a working phone number on my iPad I can text, call and answer calls from my iPad, I pay yearly subscription so I don’t have to worry having a interruption on my service. This is a App that need to be connected to internet to work. So when I am out of the office the calls go through my telephone. It is convenient to have this service specially if you use tablets.

Buggy start, warning. Beware! I signed up via the iOS app and picked a number. I didn’t receive any email or notification and after getting charged immediately was prompted to sign in with a number which of course I didn’t memorize. Now I can’t sign in. The website doesn’t recognize my iTunes associated email. When I finally find a person on the phone willing to talk, they ask me to pay again and take my dispute to Apple as they are the middle man. So, a buggy app that’s quick to charge and failed to properly set up my account. Even signing up at their website was buggy and gave me errors on Chrome. Maybe it’s a good app but I never got to see the service work

Will not renew. For the first few months it worked great. Then my text started not going through and now I have to have all calls forwarded to my private number because if they go through line 2 number it doesn’t even ring it goes straight to voicemail. It took a few days to realize that no call were coming through and I lost a lot of business. The whole point of getting this was so I knew if it was a call coming through for the business or my private number and now I don’t know because they ring through my private number or I wouldn’t get any calls. I have emailed customer service and they haven’t helped. Bad service don’t get it..

Great app but.... Been using Line2’s services for a while now and for the most part its been a good experience. Lately however the app will sporadically close when I open it. Upon opening it again I have to log back in, only to find I have missed a call or text. This is used as a business line. I will investigate other options but I hope the developers address these issues. They’ve built a platform with great potential but bugs of this nature will drive users elsewhere.

Mediocre. Good price but at a cost! Wishing for improvements! Needs automatic reply’s: “I’m driving now; get back to you later” “Out of office until _____; I’ll get back to you” Search ability for finding text threads would be great!!! Many glitches wherein my text image sent, shows up on my screen but not on the recipients. Upon contacting tech support, I’m told they can’t help unless they’re notified within 24 hrs. I spent 24 hrs in panic mode, covering for glitch. Repeatedly!!! Tech support labels it: “problem solved” Kind of like a dog licking his own balls. It’s been a great two years, while price was the priority, but now I can afford a more reliable service and you’re going to lose a customer. I even paid a full year to save a few bucks but I’m not happy at all. You just wiped out all the history of all my texts with clients!!! Nice job!!!! Thx for nothing!!!!

Stop working. My husband has been using Line2 for about 1 year now and it’s progressively gotten worse. I told him to just cancel his subscription and download another more reliable phone service, but it would mean a lot of his business contact would no longer have his correct number. He’s been trying like hell to contact the company for about a week with no luck. App when working was ok at best, but no it’s just horrible

Ok app. I wish that this app had all the features of the desktop. Specifically, allowing recording different greetings and the ability to save greetings for future use. It’s annoying to record a greeting for a closure and then re-record the greeting you use every other day. There is also no way to upload files on your phone but you have to via the desktop. I ended up using multiple apps to save a voicemail that I will use for just one day. Frustrating extra work for a business owner!

Doesn’t work anymore. I used to love this app and ran my biz from it for years. Then push notifications on texts stopped working and they have not fixed it for months. Most of my clients contact me through text so I have had to change the number on all of my promo platforms to my regular cell phone. I have called in a few times. They say it’s a reproducible glitch, and they will fix it, but it’s still not fixed . This renders the app and service pointless. what’s the point if getting texts that I don’t know about?!!!! super disappointed.

Very convenient, no problems so far. My land line had degraded to the point I needed to “cut the cord” since local phone service was never going to upgrade the copper lines in my neighborhood. I was able to port over my home phone number to Line2 and now have crystal clear voice and voicemail. It is also convenient having the old home number ring in on my wife’s cell phone and be able to receive Text message. What a great upgrade to an old phone number I’ve had for almost 50 years Thank you team Line2, well done!

Very good for price. A bit unreliable for sound quality.. I’ve been a user for around 8 years I guess. That tells you something. For a small business owner who wants great functionality and low cost, this is a great app. The only sacrifice is occasional but fairly regular audio issue of audio delay, since its streaming. Delayed audio can make for some awkward conversation, but this doesn’t happen that much. Price, usual quality and ease in setting everything up - in pretty detailed customization - makes it worth it.

Dropped calls. There are a couple things I am concerned about with Line 2, one of them being that I have calls that get dropped if on too long and then when you try and call the person back it says that you’re already on a call with them, this seems to happen when I’m on the phone for an extended period of time with one person. The other thing I’m not happy with is when we had to go so long without being able to send text messages, Line 2 was having internal issues, there was no compensation for what we had to go through and business that was possibly lost.

Worst user interface, no customer service. We’ve been a paying client for over 3 years and recently experienced a billing issue for the first time; our credit card on file expired. Instead of calling any of the cell phone numbers on file, Line 2 simply disconnected service and closed our account without notice. When I tried to figure out what happened, I discovered that they changed the log-in password so that there was no way to see our account/access ANY records or add an updated credit card. (The phone number on the account has been ours for 7 years and they claim to have put it back into the “pool.”) When I called to reinstate our account, I spoke with David in their Hollywood “help center”. He became hostile almost immediately, then refused to connect me with a supervisor or manager to help. (He told me I’d have to SUBPOENA them if I wanted to speak to a supervisor or anyone who works for the actual Line 2 company.) I’ll be taking my company’s business to Google or Switch, great reviews and less expensive.

A Great Option!!!. I have been using Line 2 since there early days for my business. It has been a dream come true to have just one cell phone to handle both my personal and professional needs. Technical support has always been timely and helpful. Great that I was able to preserve my long standing office number!!!

No improvements over 3+ years. In my three years of this app, I’ve been disappointed that contact cards (sending and receiving) remains unsupported. Additionally, videos can not be sent or received on this platform either. Pictures are fine. SMS messaging is fine. Calls can be difficult to manage depending on how you want your phone to handle the Line2 calls. Overall, a poor rating as I have been using the app almost 4 years and these features I was told were “coming soon” never came to fruition. Once my annual subscription is up, that’s it for me.

Horrible customer service with no response!. We have used Line2 for our business for the past year. There has always been continuous glitches here and there that seem to be fixable after a few efforts. Most recently my iPhone and iPad will not ring when calls come in for over a week now. I am also not receiving texts when they come in. I have opened four support tickets, left multiple voicemails and spoke to someone on chat. Chat told me they would escalate this to management to get it fixed and I have yet to receive a phone call. We are canceling this service and moving to a new provider!

Don’t do it!. Please do your Business a favor and refrain from using this company. I used them a few years ago and they were great! Boy it’s changed, I think they got bought out by a different company and the entire backend is glitchy, hard to use, and confusing!.. when you call for help most of the people don’t seem to understand what they are doing and seem annoyed, the last lady I talked to seemed like she was texting on her own phone and watching TV in the background, c’mon guys! I switched to RingCentral and am so grateful for them, professional customer service and system that works AMAZINGLY. Do yourself a favor and just go straight to RingCentral right now, you won’t regret it!

Great idea, disappointing results. I use Line2 for business and I really enjoy the possibilities an app like this presents. Unfortunately, for 90% of all calls I receive no notification/indication/ringtone of incoming calls until Line2 alerts me there is a voicemail. This is a problem, as my business depends on me picking up the phone in a timely manner. This problem arises especially when I am not connected to a Wi-Fi network. If this problem isn’t corrected in the next week or two I will have no choice but to look for another business solution.

Crap!. This app is crap. The calls come in fuzzy and there is often a lag between you and the other caller. The app has recently started crashing and the companies only suggestion is to uninstall and reinstall it which doesn’t work. Or turn off my contacts, which I need for business. I’ve had this line for 2 years now and I think it’s time to switch. I work in real estate so changing my number isn’t easy and I doubt I can take the number I got through line 2 with me. Use google voice, works 10X better and I don’t have issues with my other number in that app!

Nice when it works, but..... Spotty at best. The caller will hear two or three rings before my phone starts to ring, so there is less time to answer before VM kicks in or the caller gives up. Support people said that was “normal” and it was working as intended. And that’s if it rings on my phone at all; 2/3 of the time it doesn’t and all I get is a “missed call” notice. If the caller leaves a voicemail, it can be hours before it shows up. I’ve also had constant problems with dropped calls, even in places where there is great cell coverage. Bottom line...kinda works but not ready for prime time.

Strong start - turned to horrible connection issues. At first I was very happy with line 2. Then about after a week of using app I started having connection issues. I had to start giving out my personal cell number to clients. I can fix the connection issues by changing some settings in the background but then I lose the ability to see actual phone numbers and the ability to distinguish between personal and business calls at a glance. I have yet to call the company and see if they can help. I will amend my review if they can fix it all so I get what I thought I was purchasing. If not I will ask for my money back.

Don’t waste your time or money!!!. If you think you’ll be using this app as a small business phone number alternative, YOU ARE WRONG!! This app doesn’t work. The support team doesn’t know what they’re doing. They have a ton of errors. The port process was a nightmare. Waited on hold for several occasions. Then once it finally ported, the calling didn’t work. Again on hold two more times. Finally my texting wasn’t sending, but could receive. They escalated my case. At this point I finally cancelled with Line 2, with six support calls in. Getting my number ported back to ATT until I figure something out

Good service poor audio quality. I’ve been a subscriber for several years and have been satisfied, in general. Line2 support is responsive when they’re needed which isn’t often because they've resisted the temptation to add a lot of unnecessary fluff. The app is simple. It just works. My only complaint is that audio quality is poor. It’s like listening to VHS tape when the rest of the telephone industry has moved on to Blu-ray.

No Response from Customer Service. About two weeks ago, I was unable to log into my Line2 account. I reset the password was able to log into the dashboard, but unable to log into the app on my Mac, iPad, or iPhone. After numerous attempts to reach customer service, I still have not received a reply. Extremely frustrating when you’re paying $12 a month for an app that is very much a part of my daily life. Who knows the number of phone calls and text messages that I missing because of their lack luster customer service.

Works, lacks stability and quality. I have been using Line2 for a year, and overall my experience has been positive. Occasionally the program goes “offline” and since there is not a notification that the program is not working, you miss calls. The call quality is fine over WiFi, but if you are making calls over data, speak as clearly as you can because the quality is poor. I like the concept of line2, but wish it was higher quality and would notify me if it is offline.

Terrible app. Why is it that I need to delete and reinstall this app everyday. This app glitches so bad that it frequently doesn’t allow me make phone calls, receive them, or send photos on MMS. This is the one thing this app and this company is supposed to do. In the past few months it has gotten really bad. I am considering switching services because this is ridiculous. The service quality has plummeted recently, which is too bad because I have recommended to many people over the years.

Better options available. I chose this app on recommendations from some other colleagues using it. Regretted getting it soon after. Didn’t want to go through the work of porting the number to some other app and all so continued to use it. Many problems over the months with this app and so finally convinced myself to close my account. These are the main issues I encountered: 1. Unreliable. Had many failures resulting in critical loss of communication for hours to days at a time. 2. Poor interface. Gets stuck very often. 3. Voice quality poor, but improved when you switch to cellular instead of WiFi 4. Poor customer service. Unreachable at critical times when the server has failed etc. couldn’t reach them over the holiday weekend when the account had suddenly closed without my knowledge Based on all these, would not recommend until issues solved.

Really needs Apple Watch integration. Title says it all. I’ve always had little issues with line2, but that’s usually my fault or a network issue. I stopped needing line2 and went without for a few years. I’ve come back, but now I’ve found that there is no support for Apple Watch, and I have to answer on the line 2 app. I’ll be searching for something with Apple Watch integration. If you don’t need that, it’s a great little tool, and it appears to have improved since I used it last. I’ll update my review if my opinion changes with this use.

Sketchy service. I am a paid user of this app and service. About 70% of the time I cannot connect to make a call. That is with four bars and 4G showing on my phone for data. I will be looking for a more quality service to port my number to. I am sorry about this because this is such a good thing for small business. I just cannot support the lack of functionality of the app and connection.

Worked at first - now it does not. This app is used for a business line so I don’t have two phones. It worked well for a short time. However now, I do not receive calls, only a notification of a missed call and voicemail. Per others who have called me- it rings once and then vm picks up. I also do not receive notifications for text messages. I have now sent in 4 support tickets with only one response that did not work. I’ve also requested my number be transferred to another carrier - which their site says is possible. That was 3 business days ago and no response. Based on other reviews I may never hear from them. Very disappointed

The worst customer service ever. I have tried multiple times to cancel my subscription. I am not happy with the service of the line and the customer service only calls you when they want you to increase your subscription. They make it impossible to cancel your subscription, telling you, you have to send an email, which never gets answered and yet, four months later. Still trying to cancel, the only calls I receive from customer service are to change my subscription. In my option, the biggest waste of money and it is so hard to reach someone to give you a straight answer. Don’t join. JUST, DON’T JOIN.

Can’t group message. Despite what they say, if you group message with an active audience they shut your account down with no warning. They don’t let you recover tour text messages and they don’t offer a refund. I work in the medical field and had my patients texting me on Line 2. I lost months of valuable data when they abruptly shut me down after I sent 3 group text messages with 6 participants on each thread in 10 minutes. It was flagged as spam and there is no opportunity to show you are not spam. Their customer service was beyond RUDE and not helpful. I would not give this company a dime if you plan to send group texts.

Better then my iPhone!. This is better than my iPhone for calls and texts! The web interface makes all the difference, and I can use the client on my computer too! On the web, you can download text messages and phone call logs quickly and easily! It’s so much easier than individual screenshots! And none of this with extra programs or apps to install. Apple can learn a thing or two from this. :-)

It’s like paying to use Skype 1.0. App used to work ok. Not great, but ok. Then without warning, the app was updated. All messages and call history deleted, all contacts made within the app deleted, and worst of all - nothing worked anymore. Calls drop after 2 seconds, calls won’t go out.. or sometimes it does dial, but then dials the same number twice in a row so doesn’t work. Umpteen text messages never sent/received. Zero support except some b.s. response to say they couldn’t recreate the issue (so I and my clients must be crazy, right?).. then when I literally re-creates the issue, no response even after following up. So much of my reputation lost by using this app. Never again. Stay away if you want a serious business number.

Bad update. I have been using Line 2 for years. They have progressively gotten worse. The app does not allow you to choose which phones to ring as it used to when the app first came out. And today I found out that the app went down and lost all my history and I did not get a call from a distressed client which hurts my business. Will be looking for alternatives unless they up their game in the next week.

Robo calls flooding my phone. Well, over the past years that I’ve been using the app I’ve encountered a few glitches. Calls not going through, or not being able to hear the calls as well. And now, it’s been non stop robo calls. Sure I can screen the calls, but if I’m getting 10 to 20 calls a day who has the time for that. I work in the tv and film business and if I can’t talk to my clients because the call keeps getting interrupted constantly by these robo calls ( a lot from China too), what’s the point. When I tried calling customer care about all this, they told me they can’t do anything about it and THEN they tried to up sell me to there more expensive plan!!!!! That’s not the help I need guys!! Such a shame, it was fun while it lasted. I’ll be testing out some other apps in hopes I will find a better app. We shall see. I won’t be telling my friends about this app anymore. If you guys can figure out how to deal with robo calls maybe I’ll come back.

Great App for Travelers. I use this app frequently for international travel and it allows me to make unlimited phone calls whenever I have Wifi as if I were at home. The international calling rates are very good, too, when calling abroad from home. The issues I mentioned in a previous review seem to have improved, although call-handling when I’m on a regular call is still a question mark and the voicemails in the app don’t work right (but they get e-mailed as well so there is a workaround).

New Updates - No Calls. I have used Line2 for about 2 years now. It’s always had its quirks, but with the most recent update, the app is useless. Calls are being sent straight to voicemail with no notification that anyone has even called. Turned on call forwarding since the app isn’t working and call forwarding doesn’t work either! Can’t send or receive video texts, only pictures, which has been a pain as well. Outages have been every 2 weeks for the last several months, often for several hours. Time to find a new provider.
