No mute. Love the game. I’ve loved it since it was a free miniclip game back probably almost 10 years ago, but there’s no mute option on the music or sound effects, and that reaaaally kills it for me

Poorly Done Level Difficulty. Many of the levels seem pretty haphazardly put together. Almost as though they tested them with late game unlocks rather than section appropriate items.

Gamercool. Abysmal. Half the time it’s luck whether or not you kill a guy. And some levels are almost impossible. Avoid this app

Can’t Mute??. I can’t believe there isn’t an option to turn off sound. Makes the game unplayable for me.

Upgrade to IPhone X. Only reason I’m giving it 4 Stars is because this game deserves to be updated to fit the IPhone X Screen. Please Update? Other than that. Seeing that this game was in the App Store made me happy!

No sound options!. It’s a simple and cheap download, so can’t complain about much. I just find it ridiculous how there is no option to turn off the sounds. I want to listen to music or a podcast while I play and not the boring basic background music.

Flintlock. If anyone can figure out how to get past flintlock in gray wastes let me know. It is out of range of everything.

It’s been a long time. I’m glad to see this still being a top chart game i played this about 6 years ago on my iPod 2 and i can tell that the developers changed a lot sense the last time I played it is really nice to see one of my childhood favorite games hasn’t died yet

Crap. I paid a dollar for a horrible rip off of angry birds?!?? Want my money back!

Still fun, but the challenges still need work.. For "Playing Fair", one must use only weapons unlocked in the area you're crushing. Trouble is, these challenges came out long after I finished the game, so I don't recall which weapons came from where. Please, highlight the projectiles which are valid for the "Playing Fair" in each stage. If not that, at least give us a list. Thanks.

Fun for a few days. CtC was what Angry Birds copied, but it doesn't mean this is a great game. You'll have fun for the first few days, but only the first two major worlds are playable. The very last one is quite literally impossible. Don't download this looking to 100% it. You will not.

Great game. This is one of the original games I downloaded when I first got my iPhone. Years ago. They have updated it and it is still a great game to play. My kids love it too!

Can’t turn off sound. I know this sounds simple but when I’m listening to a podcast my intended goal for some free time I can’t. I want to be able to play the mindless game to keep my thoughts on a podcast or audio book but I can’t turn the sound off. Please update this because I love the game from playing when I was a kid.

Absolutely Fantastic. Defeated every level in 1 shot it took me ages. Wish more games like this were made today I miss the days of games like this

Weird. Ok for some reason I just thought about the first game I played which was this game so I went to see if they still have it which it is here and after 5 years, they just now came out with a new update!?! This is some demented crap I have no clue why I just thought about it and you guys update it

Needs improvement. Just downloaded this game looking for something fun to play on long drives. I remember playing this game on the computer as a kid so my hopes were high. Just starting out I was disappointed. The game doesnt allow you to zoom out to see the entire field. Leaving you firing blind. I don’t remember if that was the same for the computer but with all games (angry birds as example) you are able to zoom out and aim. Not being able to and wanting to have a good score leaves my constantly restarting. That is my second issue, the restart button. For being one of the main options it is way to small. It may seem like I’m nitpicking, but I would expect more from a game that cost money compared to a game like siege master that is free and doesn’t have these issues.

Can you please add more stuff. Like more people like farmer,wizard,or a peasant More building blocks to play with to like campfires so if wood hits it the wood would burn, and more types of wood Maybe some other stuff but that’s all I have for now Thank you for reading please add this or suggest.

Still great after all these years. Not much to say but this physics game pre-dates Angry Birds. It's still a fun game to waste some time that doesn't have flashy graphics or consumes more battery. Still 5 stars.

Updated Review: Characters Were Too Small. The latest update fixed a problem where game objects and characters were too small. Back to being one of the greatest games in the App Store!

Love it. I remember playing this when I was younger, our teachers used to yell at us all the time, can’t believe this found its way onto IOS. Would love for it to have more levels and a new continent!!

Nostalgia sort of. Played this game a lot as a younger me and got reminded of it when I was told angry birds is a rip off of crush the castle the memories of playing this game came right back to me

No updates. No updates..... why waste the time

Good, but..... Fun but you can’t use all your collected weapons in all the areas. There is one castle in particular that can’t be beat with a single throw. If I could use weapons from other conquests, it wouldn’t be an issue. It seems the older version would allow it but not this version. I want to be able to use any of my earned weapons on ANY castle.

Not that great of a port.. The look has transferred over from the browser version, but that’s it. The mechanics don’t work as well and the projectiles don’t work as good as before(minus the boulders). The vortex bottle doesn’t have hardly any lift. You’re lucky if it flings a small piece of wood or a person, all other objects remain stationary for the most part. The trebuchet doesn’t work as good either. Not only does the backswing not work, but the forward swing has no accuracy. This game needs serious work before any extra features are made.

iPhone upgrade ooops. With upgrade my app no longer works except on unit I will not upgrade. I found your new game now I have to start over again and apparently LOST my prior purchase to upgrade this prior app. One problem is only I paid for extra games then block from using it.

Great!!. Love this game, the humor in there voices when you crash a castle. Love it

Cool but. How do I tell what level I’m on so I can get tips???

Impossible level. PLEASE HELP. On skull island in grey waste, the left most level is not possible to beat. I have been stuck on this level for some time now. The castle is too far to reach. I have tried every type of ammunition available although it is physically impossible to reach the targets. If anyone can help please let me know

Good for the price. Great game! Way better than Angry Birds. You actually get a good value here, and there’s no In App purchases.

Better than Angry Birds. I like this game a lot but I think there’s not enough levels, there is only three lands to play in and I finished the entire game in less than one week...make more levels pls.

Great puzzle game. This is the game if you want to simply throw projectiles at block castles. The different types of projectiles and blocks are easy to figure out, so it comes down to strategy and aim rather than pay-to-play special items with weird effects. The graphics are great (minus some silly optional prize skins), like real blocks and soldier figurines. Miles above the alleged “crush the castle siege master” game that stole its name.

Awesome. Love this game! Addictive and puzzling at times. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is it needs more levels and types of ammo. Come on updates! 🙂

Buyer beware!. This game used to be great but it is now so glitchy that it locks up your phone. Do not download.

It’s fun just need more levels. It’s fun as the computer version just not as many levels?I don’t remember if the pc version had more but it took me 3 days max to beat it , really sad because it is really fun

Forgot why I deleted this long ago. Sometimes very entertaining, but often frustrating because of lack of zoom control and unreasonable firing mechanic. On some of the castles the precision of targeting required is beyond the ability of the firing mechanic to support, and with the lack of zoom, the game often becomes simply a game of chance.

How do you change weapons in builder?. I don't see any way to change the weapon set in the builder mode. I've defeated all levels with a gold medal and unlocked all but one ranks And the builder mode's buttons are too small, so is the "reset" button at lower left, it's extremely hard to press it. Also, the second background choice in builder is not properly done. Might wanna fix it When testing the built stage, "Ranks" button does not work. If you manage to eliminate every object in builder mode, the whole screen gets greyed out

It’s a decent port (sorry for paragraphs). If you’re like me, who played the flash version of this game years ago, possible in school? Maybe at work for others. This was one of my favorite flash games and when I saw that there was a mobile port of it I knew I wanted it eventually, and so I got it. It is quite fun, some challenging levels but not many. My only real problem with the game is that it doesn’t contain the original levels (maybe a few are from the original game, but the artwork remains the same which is nice) and I feel the weapons you can use have been tweaked or just don’t feel as powerful as the flash version of the game. In the original game, I liked that every new region you’d be introduced by some weapon smith giving you a new item to use, which is absent in this game. You do get new items, not in the same order as the original version. All in all, it’s decent, it contains the original Artwork, while giving some newer graphical changes, such as to the items you use against castles. I however wish there was more levels, I went for gold as I went along as when I finished all levels I had nothing further to do, and the “Editor” is very weird to use, at least for me. It’s hard to even things out.

It’s fun, when it works.. Either the rose tinted glasses were darker than i thought or they messed up some things in the port because its not as good as I remember. The upsides are the fun and quirky variety or throwables and how some are satisfying… but thats if they work right. For example, one mission required pinpoint precision with a firebomb to set the wood in the castle on fire to be a one shot, but it didn’t spread to everything for some reason making me do the difficult shot again and only on the third time did it spread properly. Another was where i had to launch a block at a castle using a well placed bomb, but the block hit the ground like it was magnetic and lost all momentum making me do the hard shot again. All this precise work with a funky trebuchet just to have your amazing shot be worthless really killed the fun of some creative levels. Its a bit of old school fun but not worth the money.

Lit. This game is dopeeeee. You should add more levels though. I’m a returning customer since the beginning, but I downloaded the game again yesterday and I just now beat. It’s definitely challenging though.

Keeping earned weapons. I like the old version better. Because I finished it, all it needed was more levels. This game does that perfectly. Although I don’t like the power downgrade of the bombs and the vortex, it is minor and actually does make the game more challenging. The only reason for 1 star is unlike the old game, not having the ability to carryover and use previously unlocked weapons and bombs to every region ruins the game for me.

A Blast!. Hear!Hear! How did I not know about this game until just recently! Yes it’s somewhat rudimentary and a bit short... but the gameplay is highly addictive and a tremendous amount of fun. The trebuchet action is brilliantly done, giving you a real sense of control over the launch of wonderfully imaginative and crazy projectiles! The ability to create your own “castles” is a great touch... I’ve had just as much fun with that feature as I had blasting my way to Gold on every level! Bravo!

ITS BACK?!?. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN??????? I had no idea this updated until now!! This is THE game that inspired Angry Birds! Before iOS gaming was around, Kongregate and New Grounds where the places to play all the best Flash Based Indie Games. Fun and simple games that were challenging, but didn’t require you to devote your life to in order to enjoy them! Super excited to have CtC on my 8 Plus!!

No mute function. Seriously? How is there not an option to turn off the music and/or sound? It’s ridiculous and made it so I don’t even bother playing the game.

Fun action, hilarious sounds. The campy sounds and graphics have a real sense of humor, the firing mechanic is fun, there are lots of levels to unlock, and eventually you earn cool stuff like explosive bombs and homing crow swarms. My only critiques: a mix of really easy and really hard levels. Not a big deal though. Since this has to be compared to Angry Birds (which I also love): the two-tap trebuchet firing mechanic is more fun to me than the AB slingshot, giving this game a very distinct feel. Also, this game came first! As far as I can tell it's the first of the "Angry Birds" genre. Great to see new updates and new content added to such a classic.

Game constantly freezes. Keeps freezing & it stays frozen even when restarting the app, i have to delete & reinstall which is annoying as i loose my saved games. Fortunately it's only a tiny financial loss otherwise id be asking for my money back. Second rate graphics.

More levels. Great app but to short. Needs more levels

Sigh. I was so excited to see this game. One of the best flash games finally on my iPhone! Alas I was let down. Everything is great, but there are minor things which greatly affect gameplay. The text is horrendously hard to read, the graphics are.. err... blurry which may have been intentional but it just looks lazy. I was excited to gloat and remind everyone that this original flash game would have been an inspiration for Angry Birds, instead I'm embarrassed for you.

Glitch. There's a glitch on the level to each his own it's like there are invisible walls and my bombs keep hovering in mid air also I can't get through the level flintlock with anything higher than a bronze how do I do it also needs more levels and the eel jar other than that it's awesome keep up the good work Randomizer Ω

Too much fun. I play this game everyday. It is soooo good. Awesome weapons and awesome designs. Even better you can build your own castles and test them. Great game. Must buy

Great game. This is really fun, it has some great physics and sound effects. I wish the game would give you more credit for persevering and finishing the level though, even if you don't win a medal. It is a casual game after all.

More Levels please. I've finished this game already - not enough levels. Extremely enjoyable. What is needed is an infinite level or at least 1,000 levels to keep us going. Going for the 1 shot doesn't really appeal to me or make the game feel any replayable for me so I would like to have many more levels SOON. I love the game and want MORE please NOW. A terrific way to pass time so please don't keep us waiting. Also difficulty levels might be worth a try. For instance at higher difficulties you get less shots or less effective weapons but again that can also apoil a good game. More levels would be ideal.

Great game with more potential. One of the first games I happily paid for Needs an update to be universal for ipad also, or an Ipad version and many would pay up for it i'm sure Also need to reward customers with more levels

AWESOME!!!!. This game is so much fun and great for something to use up your spare time. It would be great if there were more levels, weapons and if you could share your own levels with other people. Otherwise highly recomended!!!

Mute The Sound Effects. I wish I could mute the music and sound effects in the full version of this game. I love to play it all the time but you can't have music on while you play it, the sounds just play over the top of the music!! Very Frustrating!! Is it just me or did I miss it somewhere?

Great fun but too few levels. This game is quite addictive. My main gripe echos many of the other posts - it REALLY needs more worlds with new regions and some new imaginative weapons. (the current weapons are still fun though)! What about including a DIY weapons editor? That would be very cool!! Overall, a fun piece of software - well done!!

This is a success. I remember when I played the online version. Aah, great times. Bringing it into this format was a definite good idea. I really enjoyed this. 5/5 from me, athough editor annoys the heck outta me. And I agree, it needs more levels. You guys should make updates that slowly create another island. Great work!

Skull island is frustrating!. The first region of skull island is so hard that it's frustrating, I am starting to get real angry because of it. P.S To the people saying that skull island doesn't work, just do any level in the last region of the original island and then it will work.

Not worth $2.50. Most levels you will complete first go. The first hard level is Angles and Jutes which is a really stupidly designed level. It gets easy again after it. Then once you get the vortex thing you will have gold on every map in maybe 15 mins. How fun, not. Angry birds is superior.

Addictive!!. Love this game so addictive, wouldn't usually get a game like this coz I didn't think I would be into it but it's really great, have a problem on scull island and got all golds but it don't do anything is there only 2 islands or wats goin on??

Great. Great game I started playing it on pc then realised it was on iPod! The angry birds game just copied this witch makes ne angry cause they re really taking crush the castles credit. I give it a five keep the updates coming with more levels please

update is great. yes the start of skull island is kinda hard but once again it takes about 1 hour to finsh the whole game so yes overall the update is great and it would be good if you kept adding a new region or two every update :D

Addictive. Great game, reading other reviews, those 2 lvls are hard, but I went away and finished other levels ten came back and finally completed them. My only complaint is it's too short, I bought the game last night and finished it just before bed - both lands. Need more lands and harder levels !

help. Ok to beat the level flintlock you have to equip the timer bomb and just simply throught it at the ground and let i roll over the ramp thingy and it will explode and send a metal piece at the castle and kill all people the very first time its really easy and if u make a mistake and blow up the ramp u have reset

Great update!!!. I loved this game when I first got it. I had alot of replay value with the help of the unlockable ammunition. And now with the new UPDATE thanks for making a whole new area!! I can't wait to crush those castles again! Keep up the great work!

Good fun .... Fun and a bit of a challenge for the first few levels, but once you get the bombs you can finish all the levels within 30 mins ... definitely needs for levels added

TOO SHORT!!!. The campain is too short but and easy, this game has a major fault which is if you pedantic and need to get ALL the castles with a gold star all you need to do is go back to the levels with the up graded weapons and thus beat the game. i would recomend this game if was longer but it is not worth the money atm.

Skull Island is IMPOSSIBLE!!!. On the first segment of skull island, Point Landing, there are two levels which are impossible, 'Dark Materials' and 'The House of Usher'. You are given one weapon, a fire potion or petrol bomb which only burns wood and not bricks! I think that this is either a mistake that the Author made or He/She was being a total stooge! I don't believe that awesomeguy1296 completed Skull Island. HOW DO YOU PASS THESE LEVELS!?!!??

89 out of 90 gold.. Hey, this is a great game, it's just that there is one level that I cant seem to get gold on! No matter how hard I try. The level is called "Flintlock" in Grey Wastes (on Skull Island). Anyone got any advice on how to tackle this level? As for 1.2 the updated version is great, thanks for the new content. :)

More Levels Please. Comon people, we are paying you for this one! Angry Birds has seemingly HUNDREDS of levels - you can do better - more levels and fast! Nothing is new since 2011. We love it. We want more things to break.

Heaps good game. It's a fantastic game but way too short (50 levels goes really quickly in this game) also add a more variety of weapons and ammo. I think that it is a bit overpriced and there are some minore glitches (the backgrounds not working sometimes), while your at it make It faster it is sooo slow.

Brilliant!. I love this game! An the fact you got to use a bit of strategy to come back with upgraded weapons to earlier impossible stages is great! Love it!

Classic ;). Great game when I first found it on the PC a fair few years ago... And still is with but now more levels :D Kinda irritating that this game is getting ripped on for being "angry birds but bad" cuz it was made ages before it :P they probs got inspiration from this game, hehe

Sound Issues. I love this game but Christ alive, why is the music blaring in the background that can’t be turned down or off in any way? Bizarre.

Its just bad.. Honestly never played a worse game. They need to work out some serious issues with the "special" ammo being less useful than the rocks, for one, the crow ammo is just completely useless, and the acid vial only destroys one object per throw. Honestly, dont waste your money on this.

Nah. After the first island, not only did having to start all over from scratch (as in, the teeny tiny rock) in the second island frustrating it was also IMPOSSIBLEEEEE Ya.. lost interest the moment I started the second island. Fun while it lasted tho

Mis-advertised: not 50 new levels. Ripped-off. I liked the game and was willing to pay the $2 for 50 more levels and enjoy. There is not 50 more levels , rather only 50 more tries at breaking castles, each region might be concidered a level, if you are feeling generous, but come on this is not right. I would like my $1.99 back. Alternatively, give me the 50 levels, (as I see the term meaning) and I will re-review. Till then I am one very unhappy customer.

Not a ripoff of Angry Birds. I love this game! It's fun and challenging and doesn't have dumb looking birds and pigs like in another game in the app store. Also it came first. Angry Birds ripped off this game btw not the other way around.

Fun Addictive Game! Looking forward to future versions. NOTES - BUGS - REQUESTS. This is a pretty addictive game. I like the concept. NOTES TO DEVELOPERS and OTHER USERS: 1 - Regarding SKULL ISLAND NOT WORKING for pre-instealled users. READ the WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 1.1. All you have to do is go back to the first map, Play 1 Tower/Level in the Bestonia territory and then SKULL ISLAND WILL WORK. 2 - I wish I would have access to ALL my weapons from the first MAP to use on SKULL ISLAND as there are a few tower which so far have been impossible to get medals on. I'm guessing this might be a bug. 3 - FEATURE REQUEST - I'd love to take my own Castles and post them ONLINE for others to BEAT. Maybe even include the possibility of having a top 100 Fortresses? I'm giving this game a preemptive 4/5 Stars as I expect we'll be getting lots of new updates for FREE increasing the Apps longevity. Once you get a Gold medal on all the towers, there not much replay value. Good job!

Love This Game. Bought it for my iPhone 4 in 2011, and recently installed on my iPhone 12. It's still a great time-passer.

Addictive, but on the shallow side.. To begin with, do not hesitate to purchase this game. There is a general consensus that the game is too short and too easy; while this is partly true, it is still worth the price, and there is no other game like this as fun or flawless available on the iTunes store. The design looks and sounds good, and gameplay couldn't be more intuitive (tap. tap. tap. got it?), while maintaining a reasonable standard of difficulty (depending on how good you are with physics games). Replay value is so-so, it took me two days to score all gold medals. You can unlock the ability to design your own levels, which is fine, if only a little clunky on the iPhone (a good time-killer, however). The only thing that could improve this game would be an update with more lands available for attacking, which wouldn't be too difficult, i imagine, considering the amount of players creating and contributing their own levels.

Beautiful. Played this on the computer 11 years ago and bought it 9 years ago and just redownloaded it a couple weeks ago love this game !!!!

Pretty good. Good time waster, good amount of levels. Got it a while ago can't remember if i bought it or it was free for a day or something. Probably not worth buying considering it's just a flash game ported to iOS. I know you just recently updated, but it could use a mute button for the sounds and music. Wouldn't mind listening to my own music lol. Overall good game.

Too easy. I played the free version then bought the full thinking it would be a lot harder. But it was too easy. I finished the game with a medal on every level except flint lock in 2 hours. There should have been more levels like flint. Also the make your own map is hard to us needs work. Just play the lite version don't waste $0.99.

MORE LEVELS. Great game, but add more levels please...or add some type of battle game. Where you can battle the computer in crushing castles...

Meh. I bought it because I heard it was similar to angry birds. Well, it's not. Not a BAD game, but far from good. Avoid.

Childhood. Everyone complaining about the game can stop, it’s exactly how I played it when I was in school and it shouldn’t be changed.

Good. This is definetly a good game. I like how you can now create your own level. Keep up with the ideas and updating so people will still enjoy playing for years to come.

The inspiration for Angry Birds. What else can I say?. I like this just as much as Angry Birds. I've played this in Armor Games before and I just couldn't believe my luck to find that they had an app for this. I've played this for about two months and so far I haven't seen any bugs. I really recommend this if you're a fan of Angry Birds and would like those type of games.

Very amazing!. I used to play this on newgrounds. Lite version is awesome app. Full version is very worth it. These guys make great games. Great physics. Great weapon progression. Great medal rewards. Flintlock was the hardest. Got gold(eventually. It's like a puzzle). Great level editor ( any plans to allow fan contributions?). 90 levels IS a lot... But we all want more please. We will pay or you can put corporate logos on the timbres and canon balls. Oh my gosh. LIVE ctc versus real people. As you level up in class, you get to compete in the heavier timbre classes. Or you could have weight limits in terms of contruction materials. I hope this could go viral.

Great old computer flash game. This is a game made for play on your computer via flash. It was way better than angry birds then, and it still is. Those of you that are stuck on a level. Try using bombs to launch other pieces of castle that you can reach, to hit the castle you can't reach.

Used to be good, but.... I loved this game a couple years ago when I played it during lunch, and I used to play it on my boyfriend's iPod afterschool, so when I got an iPod Touch the first app I bought was this, and I love it. But the last time I updated it there was a new continent, and the ammo that came with it was birds. Freaking. Birds. They do almost no damage, and are very difficult to control. I think the new ammo is from the (false) accusations of Crush the Castle being a rip-off of Angry Birds. If you include ammo like that, it'll just make things worse, and it's annoying to the players. Give me some better ammo, and then I'll give you your five stars.

Only one thing. I have played this game over and over. The physics are great and the medals add a challenge that make it so you want to replay each level with new weapons. I love the addition of skull island and I hope there are more to come. I only have one complaint, there is no way to turn down the volume within the game (unless it is hidden within an info button I am not seeing). I know I can use my volume control on the iPhone itself, but this is very frustrating when I want to listen to my iPod and play at the same time. The game is totally worth the price, fix this and it is definitely a five star game. If the function is there please fill me in.

Worth the money!. Loved this game, I've played through it three times already! Wish it had more levels, but it's still totally fun. And it's a blast once you unlock all the weapons and can go back and use them against different castles. The castle editor is kind of lame. Too hard to use on the iPhone interface. But that's not a big deal. One reviewer said the castle called Flintlock is impossible, it isn't, it's just amazingly challenging. Check this app out, or try the free one for a taste.

Amazing! except for one thing. As I'm sure lots of people were, I was really excited when I found out Crush the Castle came to the iPhone/iPod Touch. They've really translated it over beautifully. Extremely smooth graphics, new levels, and I'm loving the medal system. You can take as many shots as you want to try to bring a castle down but you have to take it down with a certain number of shots if you want a gold, silver, or bronze medal. I have one complaint about the game and it's actually affected the gameplay greatly in my opinion, and that's the fact that instead of having a stationary camera that rests on your trebuchet until you are done firing the iPhone version actually has the camera that follows your projectiles even when they are still attached to the trebuchet. This means that while you are concentrating on releasing the shot at the right time, the camera is constantly moving which makes it extremely difficult and frustrating. It would have been so much better if they would have kept the stationary camera as in the flash version. Overall a good game, but that one fault is very hard for me to overlook.

Outstanding Trebuchet Destruction. Very good animation, graphics, and sound. Lots of levels with progressive arsenal of cool trebuchet ammunition (like boulder clusters of various sizes, exploding cluster bombs, big fused bombs, Greek fire, acid, and a magic potion that does really bad things to whatever it hits) that yields laughs and even some stress relief. Once you beat all the levels, you can go back to any of the previous challenges with all the neat weapons you've earned and wreak havoc on everything. 5 stars. You'll love it. Developers: Add even more levels! This is highly addicting! ***Flintlock is NOT physically impossible in one shot. Simply ground round roll your large bomb up the first ramp, just enough to clear the top and fall down next to and behind the little stump. The blast will send the stump flying into the target and knock it down.

Such a fun game!. I remember playing this on the computer a while back. It was so perfect except for the lag, my PC couldn't handle it. So, when I found out it was for iTouch, I immediately got it. I have to say, it is well-worth the $0.99 price! I do agree with many people here when I say that it needs more levels. I'm actually sure that Armor Games is making a whole new island of castles to crush, so just be patient! Thank you for making this incredibly addictive game :)

Awesome Game. so after crying about the update and the silly bugs I started a new game and made it to skull island. Awesome new map. Flintlock was too easy. It was fairly simple what needed to happen. I didn't think any of the new levels were too hard. So to those that were complaining, grow up. Overall, awesome game. Entertaining game play, the graphics are pretty nice too. Excellent physics. Can't go wrong with this game.

skull island is awesome. skull island is amazing. all the ppl who are saying that it does not work, or that the fire potion doesn't work, or that some levels are impossible are INCOMPETENT. I beat the wave 1 of castles and am on to the next. they designed skull island as a CHALLENGE not something to easily clear. and the fire potion only works on the columns that look like they are made of wood. anyways, amazing update and it DOES work, everyone who is giving a bad review just doesn't know how to play games and expects life to be handed to them on a silver platter, rather than a challenge be presented every once and awhile. keep up the good work armorgames!

CLC 1.5-The most real trebuchet (counterweighted catapult). This is only catapult game I've found with physics that match what a real catapult will do. (My favorite toy as a kid). I also find that I have good days and bad days, and I can always do it in different ways (using only smallest boulder to toss, or trying to destroy entire castle in one shot. I have some neurological problems from a car accident, and I'm actually using this for rehab that's fun. For the complaint that it's too easy, they're doing it the easiest way: try adding challenges, and it gets much harder. (I went through all the levels in a week of intermittent playing, and then reset the whole thing and decided to do each level the hardest way---and I've been working at it for weeks this way.) Good Job!

Incredible. Now I am what you may call a lover of apps where you destroy things, but in all my days of destructive app playing I have never played such an incredible app. when I first got it me and my friend spent at least an hour beating all the levels in arcturia in at least two destructive ways. when I first got my iPod I played pocket god and thought that was the best but this far surpasses it in every single factor. I strongly recommend this to anybody who can enjoy a good app.

"Five stars for the king.". This game is TOTALLY worth buying. This game requires strategy and smartness. In this game you will be exploring two islands. In each island is towns, with castles in them. And the main goal of this game is to destroy the castle. To destroy the castle, simply select your weapon (each time you pass a town, you gain a new weapon), then fire at the castle using force and distance. If your weapon hits the castle, it will either knock over the walls, or will have a special effect such as the magic potion, the bomb, or the fire bomb. Once all those people in the castle are down, you win! Then, you move to the next castle. Every time you destroy a castle, you will get a rank. It could be: gold (the best), silver (the second best),

5 out of 8. I can't get past can o worms, house of usher, and dark materials.... I've spent all last night and today on it and still cannot find a soulution and I love puzzles!! Please fix this... Oh and what id like is to be able to use the new wepons that we get on any level in the game.. Lol I'd like to see that fire potion in some of the other levels :P other than that I give this game 5 stars... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Keep adding stuff and I'll make sure all my friends get this game!

Finally deleting.. Well I had this app on my phone for a long time. I was hoping they would add more levels or something but it doesn't look like it. The game was over very very quick. Anyways, the game was very short but however short it is, the game was still fun and still mostly worth $1. Yes, games like angry birds are waaaaaaaaaay more bang for your buck (literally) but angry birds is worth way more than a buck and way better than this. It's a very similar game but if you already own angry birds and looking for a similar game, get this but don't expect to get much more than am hr or 2 out of it before you max everything out.

Fun But Flawed. This game is pretty fun and addictive. Then the new updates came out. New island? New weapons? A dream come true for an avid player of the game who conquered every level. However, I became confused when at first the map for Skull Island wouldn't load properly. I went and played a quick level and beat it and came back to Skull Island and now I could play it. Well that's a small glitch, but harmless enough. First level, i couldn't beat and I couldn't really tell what this new weapon even did. So thankfully I could view the other 10 levels and was able to beat all but three of them. Trying every angle and trjectory, I could not manage to knock over certain parts of the castle, let alone kill everyone within the alloted chances. How on earth do you knock down inflammable castles with only fire bombs? That's when I found out you had to replay the whole other island again (with gold on every level) to be able to bring small stone with you to Skull Island. Wow. That's kinda a dick move. Give us a new weapon and levels, but make us replay through the first island again just so we can really play the new stuff?? That's just plain idiotic. So if you are comptemplating buying this, do so. You will love it and lucky you, you won't really have to go through the same BS we vetrans are...that is until they release another update...

VERY addictive, great game, minor flaw. I LOVE THIS GAME!! I found it very easy to play and very easy to 'just do one more castle'! Well worth the price, I recommend buying it. My one quibble, and the reason my score is only four stars, is that there are a couple of very powerful types of ammunition that they don't give you until you have destroyed all the castles in a given section and DON'T REALLY NEED IT ANYMORE!! What makes it frustrating is--it's really good ammo!!! Other than that, typical top-flight fun-to-play game from Armor, defintely a good buy.

great update. this updated version improves the game a lot by extending the length of the campaign and adding new ammo types to use on the new map. If not for billbob187, i would have said that it is impossible to get better than silver on flintlock, but i have now found that the game-makers have slid a little trick in that goes against what you would expect to do. im not going to tel you because I want to give billbob187 credit for finding it, not me. I hope to see even more FREE map pack extensions in the future.

I love the game but. I'd like to hear from Armor games in the release notes whether we really have to start a new game to get different weapons on skull island. Like many other commenters, I'm having trouble with two levels (Usher and Dark Materials) with only a fire weapon. If I have to replay all of the other levels to get other weapons, as some commenters have suggested, I will, but I'd like to hear from the developer that this solution is real and not just Internet trolls trying to get us to waste time. All in all, great game though. Lots of fun.

Absolutely wonderful game!. This game ROCKS!!! I've been trolling the app store looking for some more good physics-based games, I happened upon this one and I'm glad I took the risk of buying before trying. I do wish that the camera could have been better but that's not a deal breaker, at least not for me. I only hope they come out with some more levels in an update cuz I'm dyin' to crush some more castles! Anyways, i highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys a fun and addicting physics-based game. P.S. Awesome job on the musical score and I love the magic bottle you get once you get all gold medals on all of the levels. Very nice touch!

For ppl who need help with Flintlock. Your going to use the big bomb. Right before the slim main castle there's 3 platforms. Closest to your launcher is a ramp style platform. The middle of the 3 is a small "L" style platform and the biggest of the 3 (where you usually reach at the farthest throw) is a small height but wide platform. What you want to aim for is throwing it slightly fast at the ground enough to go up the ramp and lay right next to the "L" platform. Once it explodes it throw the vertical part of the "L" right over the 3rd platform and hits the bottom of the castle slightly but enough to knock it all down and kill everyone. It takes a while but once you see it hover over to the castle you can see it's very possible. The MAIN key is making that bomb literally be right next to that "L" style platform.

Fun, but too short. Crush the Castle is good, idle fun. The control mechanism is very simple - tap twice, with the pause between taps determining the angle of your shot. This makes it perfect for the iPhone, even in a shaky car. It gives itself very well to pausing and resuming at any time, picking up exactly where you left off. But the game is so short! I'm a casual gamer, but I was able to play through all of the levels in about an hour, and revisit and get golds on all but one level in another thirty minutes. That makes less than an hour and a half of fresh playing time. It does include a level editor, but it feels a bit too much as if the game were left unfinished. I'd strongly encourage Armor to collect some user-made levels and add a hundred levels or so.

Great app, but.... Just like the Skull Island update, this update is riddled with problems. Firstly, the Murder of Crows will sometimes glitch and not kill the person being swarmed. Changing the Acid so it can't dissolve metal, even in the previous areas, just makes it a whole lot more worthless, especially since the area of effect is so small. The Firebomb's pathway in a lot of the levels is interrupted, so the fire dies out before the whole trail of wood burns. The idea of having an indestructible building material to use in conjunction with the Moonstone and metal is good, but quite difficult to do. And the ice/glass it becomes near impossible to deal with in the last area. Also, losing the special weapons in the previous areas needs to be fixed. I appreciate the update, but it needs some work.

Really good game. Definitely needs a reward system. Once you get the gist of it. It becomes easy. The later levels get harder because it becomes more about finding the weak link than just knocking down barriers with brute force. Directs hits at that point mean nothing. And to that one person complaining that the bodies don't disappear. They're really not supposed to. When someone dies they don't disappear. And the creators are not gonna make them disappear just to make it easier. It's not angry birds. It's more original than that

Very addictive. This game is extremely fun and addictive. Yes, I prefer the slingshot used in Angry Birds to the trebuchet in this game, because the slingshot is easier to control, and Angry Birds also lets you see the exact angle you used previously. Despite that, I chose CTC instead of angry birds, because as a person who loves animals, I'm rather disturbed by the idea of using exploding birds as weapons to kill pigs. For whatever reason, it's much more entertaining for me to kill those deserving royals in this game. Add more levels, and it'll be 5 stars!

The update makes the game tougher, but even better. Some of the new levels are harder than the ones in the first continent. But all the new ones can be defeated! There's often a trick to it. In Point Landing, pay close attention to what is wood and what is not. Burn out the wood first (sometimes involves some tricky throws), then hammer what remains. Pay attention to which levels allow you to use two shots and still get gold—that's a hint. If you get stuck on "Flintlock", remember that a flintlock is a kind of gun. You've got to put the gunpowder (fuse bomb) in the "gun." It takes some finesse, but when you get it right, you'll launch a little metal piece straight into the enemy castle. So don't give up! Just be aware that many of the new levels are tricky, take combinations of shots, or require new ways of thinking. When you figure them out, you'll feel awesome!

FLINTLOCK IS THE EASIEST LEVEL. I love this game and play it more then anyother game on my IPod Now onto the title, the key to beating it is to glitch the large stone cluster to make them fly farter then anyother ammo, you do this by selecting any of the potions: Potion, Acid Bomb, Fire Bomb. and press the screen so the trebuchet will start to throw, quickly switch to the large stonecluster while the ammo is still on the trebuchet. press again to launch and you can launch the large stone cluster farther then initially believed. -Tip- when you glitch the large stone cluster you may have to practice a few times before you get it right because the ammo will double in speed on the trebuchet so you must be quick about it. This glitch only works for the potions start and a cluster launch, it wont work if you choose fused bomb or anyother single ammo as the second part of the launch. And as all ways, i hope this cheat helped a lot of people on all levels. :D

NO MUTE BUTTON. Makes this otherwise great game a pain in the nether regions.

A BLAST !!!!!. At early levels I thought ho hum an Angry Birds knockoff. But then when I advanced to higher levels, well that's when the fun & adventure really started rolling BIG TIME. Timed bombs, magic potion bombs, acid bombs, magnetic bombs, bird-flock bombs, fire bombs. Figuring out which combo of bombs to use to bring castles crashing down on the king & his court is challenging & fun. Great graphics. Love to hear the groans & grunts when the bad guys get crushed. It's as good as any Angry Birds episodes. In fact I am Crushing Castles more than plying AB, & I never thought that could happen. Just get Crush the Castle & keep at it til U get to higher levels & u will understand. PLEASE GIVE US MORE LEVELS.

Awesome game!. I really love the new update there's finally new levels. However, a few of them seem very difficult with just fire i think we should be able to play with weapons we've already unlocked. And for those of you who rated this a 1 star because you think the skull island doesn't work, you should READ THE UPDATE!!! and it will tell you that you need to go to Bestonia, beat a level there, and then the levels in Skull island work. Next time read the update before you go off rating this a one star. It's a great game.

The Update. The new levels are amazing! I wrote a review a little while ago about how bad they were but boy was I wrong!!!! Just got gold on all last night. Acid potion is a little weak but I'm not gonna complain. I don't have to use it. Also for the people that complain that all they have is the fore bomb, you have to start a new game, get all gold on the first island, and then you get a small stone cluster. Again amazing update. Wish I could give more stars.

Was confused!. Yeah. When I got the update I was really confused and frustrated because I didn't know that I has to start over completely. At first I didn't even know what the fire potion was because it didnt tell you if you were continuing and old game (and you also had ONLY the fire potion) buy then I found out by looking at reviews(which is also how I found out to start over completley). I forget the name of whoever asked this but you do flintlock (gold) by throwing a bomb in front of the first LITTLE metal thing. It goes flying, hits the ground, bounces, and knocks over the wood.

Would be great if.... This game would be GREAT if it didn't crash every time I unlock a new area. I am also unable to play any of the castles in the final Skull Island area because the game crashes if I try to start any of them. Otherwise, this is perfect for when I feel the need to hit things. It's cheaper than a punching bag, the cheesiness of the people dying makes me laugh, and there's nothing like launching fire bombs at a half-wooden castle to take care of some stress and get a few giggles in at the end of the day.

That's it, that's all there is?. I was really looking forward to something to tide me over while I wait for AB updates and then CC came along. I was pretty hopeful as each level had their own challenges. That said, I'm not a gamer by any streatch of the imagination, I just like to play while waiting at the Docs office or on the ferry or etc... But after a day and a half I finished all levels with gold. It almost seemed too asy and I keep playing thinking that I might of missed something and that there might be more or that I might unlock some hidden level... but there's not. I can't wait unil AB Rio updates! It was fun for all of about 30 hours but other than that, I am totally dissapointed!

A Significant Amount of Win. Thank you for FINALLY fixing the update. As I said I would, I've given you the five star review. Very entertaining overall. I lose track of time playing this app. It's challenging at times and requires some physics problem solving. I often laugh when I realize how the names relate to the layout of the level and provide a clue as to how it can be beaten. Definitely worth the money.  Ashton the Fox says buy this app!

Great game. It's a great game, but I noticed a couple of strange glitches. One being that sometimes when you touch the screen, the trebuchet doesn't move at all, and the rock doesn't go anywhere, yet it still counts toward the number of shots fired. Second, I noticed a glitch with the physics of the black hole created by the potion. It doesn't work the way it should; it effects the light objects, like wood, more than the heavy objects, like stone and metal. Black holes are created by gravity, and should effect the heavier objects more. Unless it isn't a black hole, in which case I'm completely wrong. :3 neither of these tale away any of the fun of the game though, so it's still definitely worth buying.

Duh. For all of you that say it's impossible to beat all you do is start a new game select the first continant and beat it with gold. Then skull island will unlock with SMALL ROCKS this will allow you to beat the levals. But the levels are incredably hard but possible just try to beat it then come back with better weapons. And yes flintlock is possible you just blow up the little iron pole into the castle. I have only one left without gold but i will keep trying. So please don't give the game bad reviews because you can't beat it. It is possible

Amazing. This game is great the levels may seem hard at first but for three of the levels you are not suspos to hit the tower you have to hit the iron bars on the ground with the bomb that will launch the iron bar into the tower That was for the people who could not get the three levels and then rated it one star. this game is worth the two dollars my only negitive comment would have to be to add more levels Amazing game lots of fun buy it

Fun, but for how long?. Yes it's an oldie.. Fun, some minor flops tho..... they keep track of how many shots you took- rating you on how many shots it took.. Bronze, silver, or gold.. Now to get anything less than gold is often unrealistic.. For example the pieces of the castle often fall and create a new barrier that traps the last individual(s) that you need to finish off.. And the weaponry barely penetrates the castle in the first place, when you do the initial first hit- it'll fall into a more strong barrier that you won't be able to get through... Restarting is the only option quite often vs getting it on more than one shot.. Simply putting it- if you don't kill all the people in the first "knock down" then you often will just have to restart. A bit frustrating maybe for some. And overall this game is a little dull.

Great but needs something else.... I absolutely love this game! It has just enough difficulty in it that I didn't beat it ridiculously soon but it isn't so hard that I gave up trying. I really like the different weapons you get but I wish more levels would be added. I was very excited to see an update a few weeks ago but there weren't any new levels which is a little disappointing. Other than the need for new levels this game is PERFECT!

Solid Game. This is a fun game, some levels are really easy, some levels require a little forethought to solve. The different weapons are great. I beat all the levels fairly quickly but that is because it is pretty addicting. There is some but not a lot of reply value in finding new ways and using new weapons to destroy old levels. What I'd like to see is more levels added in the future. My only complaint after playing the free version and then purchasing this and playing it is that this game does seem to drain the battery pretty quickly. Maybe I'm just sucked into it and don't realize the time.

Terrible castle editor, TERRIBLE!. When you try to select a piece, it creates a new one instead, which you then have to delete. So you try again and again, and finally you find the pixel that let's you select the piece, now you have it selected but your finger is covering it entirely! You can't position it accurately because you can't see it, so you let go of it to see where it is. Then when you realize you want to move it a little, you have to go through another twenty attempts to select it. Also, the pieces don't snap into place or avoid each other, so you build a castle which then self destructs when you try to test it because one or two parts are overlapping. Basically it's useless and after a good long try I gave up and deleted it in disgust.

The pros and cons. Here's the deal: the game is alot of fun-it's very enjoyable to knock down the castles. However the problem is that the game is too easy- there are 50 levels and each one takes under a minute (the game can take literally a half hour). The game creators realized this and they therefor added into the game gold medals which are earned upon destroying the castle in one shot (in most cases) the game therefor takes longer to beat since one tries collecting all 50 gold medals. This would all be swell if not for one problem and that is that as you advance into the game you earn more powerful artillery- upon earning this you may use it in any level you choose. So it comes out that once you've earned the highest level of artillery it is more than easy to earn all 50 gold medals and therefor defeats the purpose of them. In my humble opinion the creators shouldn't let you use any artillery you don't get originally in the levels when you are playing for the medals. All in all it is a fun game and definitely worth the two bucks!!

good and bad. Loved the game as soon as I got it and liked the medal system and receiving new ammunition upon compleating levels. However, once i received the bombs and got Gold on every single level, theres nothing more to do, build your own castle maybe, but what can you do with that, plus the magic potion is awesome, if i could use it for new unbeaten levels. PLEASE add more levels than the plain 50 on this current version, otherwise game is great, great graphics skull island us good once again need mor levels more weapons and bigger castles would be cool plus you need to have an options menu for sound

Great game. I personaly have gotten all gold on every level including skull island levels. I don't know if anyone has said this yet but the trick to flint lock and musket lvl is too use the time bomb to blow a pice of metal lying in front of the castle into the air causing it to hit the main castle. In flint lock you have to get a time bomb right behind the little pice of metal that comes after the first ramp. I will say that it is very tricky but it is possible.

This is how to beat the Flintlock level on Skull Island. Ok what you do is equip the big single bomb, there is a ramp closest to you, throw the bomb on the ground fast enough to go over the ramp but not hit the block that is in front of it. Wait for it to explode then the block should go flying at the targets but it will hit the wooden part of it. If it doesn't go far enough to hit it, press the reset button. This game is good. I think this game is pretty good btw ppl complaining that it's free now r idiots $3 is NOTHING ppl come on I meen seriosly I paid $3 for this game and I'm not complaining. This game is good quality but it is the same thing as angry birds just to warn ppl but it's a bit easier one thing u can do on this that u can't do on angry birds is u can make ur own map after u beat the game p.s. Ppl keep saying this game copied angry birds when actually it was in the app store before angry birds and the ppl complain about it crashing, well it's probably bc u got too much S@&$ on ur Ipod try deleting some apps I meen seriosly

Celano. This game is pretty fun. You can't play it all the time; some levels can get frustrating and you have to walk away for a bit. It keeps track of your progress and allows for several hours of challenging fun. Besides, who wouldn't want to knock down castles and try to kill all the guards? If you get bored with that, try making your own castles and knocking them down. I only gave it four stars because it could use a few more levels and making your own castles is not very user friendly on such a small screen. Overall, definitely worth the dollar!

Primary school memories brought back to life!. This was the best game when I was in primary school. I remember breaking into the computer lab just to play this game after hacking the computer system so that it would take away the blocking mechanism to the website and just playing this game for hours, while skipping class. It had the best graphics back then for the time we came out and the graphics today or even better if not the same it's still an amazing game I will play this game over and over because the quality fun you have from playing Angry Birds you get to experience in this mid evil version of Angry Birds not to mention Angry Birds was based off of this game just saying people

Update fixed.. The problems mentioned below were apparently addressed in the mist recent update. Five Stars. Three problems with this update. 1) Initial confusion about how to access the new land mass. Solution: Re-accomplish one of the last castles in the original landmass. 2) Initial confusion about how to use "firebomb" weapon. Solution: Firebomb needs to touch wood and it will burn. 3) Most people are simply doing the "solution" from problem #1 and are then starting skull island with only the firebomb and no rocks. The correct way to start Skull island (The new landmass) is with firebomb and the three small rocks. Soulution: The only way to do this is to restart the ENTIRE game from scratch and get gold on all castles. Then you will start the new landmass (I have verified) with ROCKS AND firebomb. The update information should not state anything about finishing the last castle from betsonia because this still leaves you with ONLY the firebomb and no (ZERO) rocks. The ONLY way to start skull island with firebomb AND ROCKS is to start the entire game from scratch. This needs to be explained better. Now that I've figured out how to do it, I'll return my rating to 5-stars but the creators should still fix the bug or give better instructions.

Fun, but I'd like a little more "science" behind it. This game is diverting enough to play (though not as entertaining as Angry Birds), though I'd find it more interesting if it displayed some stats like distance, angle, velocity, etc. Archer and iShoot provide something like that and it makes the gameplay a little more intellectually engaging, rather than just a click-and-shoot. Though, all in all, a fine little game. One other comment: I'd like an option to turn off the "blood" when characters get crushed. Makes it a bit too macabre for my young kids to play.
