Nice!. Well designed and intuitive.

Good for finding wines, horrible at recognizing labels. A great app for finding new wines and food pairings, regardless of your budget. The additional image recognition purchase is completely not worth it, and even the search feature leaves much to be desired if you want to remember a wine you've enjoyed. Of the 15 wine bottle labels I have used it for, it has not recognized a single one. When it doesn't recognize it, you still lose one of your paid for images. I've tried it on bottles that it has in the search feature when you just type in the name and it still won't recognize the label. I've followed the directions to no avail. Glad I went with the $.99 option. Don't waste your money on this feature, it's completely worthless.

Can’t even create account. There seems to be a problem with the app. Tried for the last two days to create an account but no luck. Never gets out of “loading” mode. Someone needs to investigate and resolve.

Pretty good app!. It's very good at pairing up food and wines, either starting from food and selecting wine, or vice versa. I can't speak to the label recognition software, since I didn't try it, due to having to pay for it. My experience with other label recognition software makes me leery, though, which is why I haven't bought even the minimum 20 scans for 99 cents. Maybe I will, though. I only give it 3 stars because I'm writing this review way too early to have fully used the app, and Im just doing it to get rid of the annoying request for review that keeps popping up.

Great App. Use it mostly for recommendations for wine with food. Works great for that.

Doesn’t work.. That simple

Photo my wines. Very awkward to get a photo and upload it. Not directly self explanatory in process. If photo taken from my camera files it truncated the picture so it’s hard to know how to take the picture for what I want to show.

Too convoluted just a sales tactic. This app was unhelpful. Deleted it after entering first wine.

Getting Worse not Better. This used to be good and very helpful app. With the latest upgrade things went bad. Previously I would enter a food to find a wine and the app gave a number of different wines by type. Now you get their sponsors wines not styles of wine. The food listing also seems to have been limited. The camera scanner often locks up and when it does work it doesn't find the wine, unlike the competitions apps. If it does find the wine but doesn't have a photo stored in the Hello Vino database, it deletes my photo so I have a wine in my favorites but no photo. Support is horrible. The web site says they will reply quickly to all questions and comments but I have never received a reply. Very tempted to delete the app from my phone. What was helpful is now shameless commerce.

Great way to keep track of favorites !. If you are forgetting where you purchased that special wine you love, you can easily use this app to track where to buy it!

Nice App. Good app for those wishing to catalog their own wine collection or just all the wines they try for future reference. Offers suggestions for food pairings. Offers bargains on wine purchases. Good all around app for the general wine drinking public.

Barolo. What wine App doesn’t have Barolo ? This one.

Good concept, poor execution. Very limited number of wines in their database, and I very quickly found out that their tasting notes are the exact same for every single one of their Sauvignon Blancs. I’m hoping that with time they will improve the app.

S'a'right. I'm a professional newbie in the wine tasting world, and this primarily does what I need. I was using Wine Notes before. It was so time consuming and ridiculously complicated even for the most avvid wine taster. If it had everything in a single area like this app, I'd probably still be using it. This app could use a few more additions and label reading accuracy but primarily does what I need. The label recognition isn't perfect but it gets pretty close to what you're looking for and you can always manually edit to what you exactly need. Not strenuous or time consuming at all, unless you're incredibly lazy, then it's hard work 😛. It'd be awesome if the app developer added the ability to browse my own wines by brands, varietals, and countries. Another idea, adding an area for wine tasting jargon and definitions for the brand new tasters. Also, it'd be cool if there was a slidebar like the rating, to describe tannins, sweetness and acidity strength. Other than that, I enjoy the other features. I absolutely love the facebook and wish list features very much. It actually won me over since I have a few wish list wines and I'm a Facebook drone 😆. 3 out of 5 stars. For being fairly basic and uncomplicated, yet still needs improvement for journaling fun. Definitely download and give it a try. 😎

So far so good. Not only is this app great for finding just the right type of wine, but also for introducing you into the wine and food pairing world people seem to be so confused about!

Best wine app hands down. I have been using this for some time now and have gotten the updates over the years and just love the newer version. I have tried the other wine apps too like "Vivino", "delectable", etc., but this app is great for all wine lovers and I love how the latest version follows your preferences. It just seems like a big jump vs the other apps. It's funny because when I am out with friends we talk about how hello vino is not only great for the novice, but it is also an excellent app for someone who has enjoyed wine for years.

Nice app that needs a few tweaks. I really like this app. It lets you enter the wines you own, as any good wine app should, a company it with a photo and flesh it out with your own notes. What I didn't like was that I found no way to delete a wine once you entered it. It does provide the option to delete except, it really doesn't delete it. The intruding wine will just show up again after deleting it like a paranormal haunting. I really like the layout of the app and the colors that accompany it. However the thumbnails of the wine listings are way to small and need to be larger. And the app does not rotate to vertical mode. It stays horizontal which I find very un user friendly. One big plus is the app does not require you to register to use it, although you may get more enjoyment out of it if you do. It would also be nice to have region maps of the wines. Otherwise I really like this app. The three main issues if corrected would make this a great pick. The wine recommendations by meal and taste is quite nice.

Needs improvements. Love the site but do not find it intuitive or easy to navigate. Attention site engineers; keep up the good work.

Best I tried, but.... ... the label pictures are often missing. These are extremely helpful when searching the shelves for a bottle I'm unfamiliar with. If there was a way to add a picture to wines that already existed in the database instead of creating your own and missing out on the notes already available this app would be perfect for me. That issue aside, I like it. The My Wines section is easy to use to remember and save wines. The Search feature is much better than all other wine apps I tried. And the food pairings are extensive, although I cannot speak to their accuracy just yet. If it's at all possible please allow wine label additions to wines missing them in the database!

Excellent App and Support. I tried several wine related apps and this one has moved ahead of the pack as my go to for wine selection and tracking personal notes. The label scanner is a very nice feature. So far the recommendations have been spot on and delicious! I had a slight problem with a crash in certain conditions but I contacted the developer an received a quick fix in a friendly and professional manner. Great support! I recommend this app.

Novice to expert - fun and useful. This app. is great! It's easy to use and offers great pairing advice. It recommends wines for pizza, pasta, and burgers for those nights when foie gras or roasted beef marrow are out of the question. :) The wine descriptions are written in a way that novices can understand and experts can appreciate. Wine pairings by brand can be a little pricey, so be sure to ask your local wine merchant for a less expensive alternative to XYZ wine if pricepoints are an issue. I work in the wine biz, and while many of these pairings are second nature, the "other wines you may enjoy" feature is always full of fun surprises. HIGHLY recommended!

Doesnt work. Paid $5 for image recognition but doesn’t work— still has the option to purchase it again.. emailed customer service a week ago and no received no response. Seems like i got scammed out of $5

Not good for recording favorites. This app is geared toward selling you wines. It is not good for recording your own history and favorites. It has no way for you to categorize wines you have tasted by type. You can only search them by name. Also I tried scanning several wine labels and only 1 out of 3 were recognized. The rest were not in the app’s database.

My go to wine adviser. I LOVE this app. I ho to it several times a week for ford and wine pairings and they are alway spot on. One thing I like is that they offer red wine alternatives with foods where a white is the first choice. A boon for us red wine lovers!

If you enjoy wine and food, this is 5 stars. I'm a chef that knows the fundamentals of wines and food. But this app is extremely useful at work and when I'm off the clock. I don't know of a better app out there that has more or even the same amount of info. Great for pairings. Makes wine and food even more fun and enjoyable. It helps me, as a chef, to be able to order wines and develop menus for those wines, or vice versa. Every pairing recommendation is spot-on. Plus, they have a seasonal recommendation for whatever the current season is. All in all, best wine app.

Disappointing. Even the basic features cost money.

Great but could have more. This is an amazingly helpful app especially for someone who loves wine in general and is really trying to feel out their pallet. The only thing that I would really like to see added is advice or instructions on how the wines should be served. I know there are certain wines that should be chilled up to serving time, certain wines that should be stored at specific angles, and other wines that need to breath before they are served. Also tips about the type of glass to be served in would be helpful too especially for special occasions.

I love this app, but.... I am a newbie in the wine world and I really enjoy this app. It's not based on social interaction like Delectable, which I hate, but gives you details about all wines. I've had it for a year now and it has helped choosing wines for meals, based on what I've enjoyed, and my taste (and budget)! It's great that we can save our own wines but I agree with the other review: we should be able to edit the entry after we saved it. I'd also like to see the ads-free feature to be cheaper. There's no reason to ask for $3 to remove ads.

nice app but lost data; poor customer support. I did think this was a pretty good app for keeping a record of wines I've tried. For each wine I could easily record my personal rating, a photo of the label, and cost; and sort by name or preference. I had a fairly extensive list; unfortunately, somehow when updating my phone, I lost all that info. My account is still there as before, but all data is missing. I have tried contacting Hello Vino via their support email multiple times, with no response. There is no phone support option. I suspect this app is not actually being supported any more. I've decided to use another tool as I start from scratch again...

Exceptional!. As a sommelier, I truly appreciate all the details & nuances in this app. It's very difficult to find an app that delves deeper, beyond the basic varietals & appellations. Hello Vino has done an exceptional job of compiling even the most obscure wines & offering well-informed, creative food pairings. The features such as label recognition & the ability to not only access - within the app, no less - and save winemaker's notes are invaluable to me. I intend to move my current "cellar" & replace it entirely w HV. It's not perfect, mind you. It'd be nice to be able to either download or upload a label image to the winemaker notes pages, but most of my issues are very minor. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied & look forward to utilizing this valuable tool for a long time to come.

Wow, What a relief!. Finally a user friendly app that allows wine lovers and occasional wine drinkers, that have no idea and have the same overwhelming feeling as I do as I stroll down the wine aisle, "What the hell do I choose?!" This app is amazing not only does it allow me pair wine with what I am making, but also when I have a bottle of wine at home it tells me what to prepare! I recommend Hello Vino to everyone because there will be a time that choosing or pairing a wine for yourself or for someone else will be a challenge. Thank you so much Hello Vino!

Disappointing. Tried to learn more about a wine label but it was unable to recognize. I have seen friends use a similar app, so I will have to find out which one they are using as this one didn’t seem to work. Surprised it has such a strong rating.

Great app!!! If you have an older version, Get the Update!!!!. This is an excellent app for wine/food pairing, along with a large database of wi new overall. Wish they had a iPad specific version, and the ability to sync between an iPhone and iPad. Five stars if they do. :-) Update! GET THE 2.1!!!! The new version does exactly what I had hoped for.....flawlessly! Everything is synced through the cloud, it's easy, you won't lose that pix you took of the fabulous red you had at that dinner party and just HAVE to find more of! I hope sharing's next! This is becoming one of the best wine apps on iTunes. Great going guys!

Horrible.. I bought this app many years ago. Now the scan feature stopped working. It completely deleted my list when I logged out and now it’s totally lost. And they have no support. Totally horrible. I think this app might have been something few years ago and now no one takes care of it anymore. Sad.

Worst app EVER. What a complete waste of time. Free scans promised upon signing up but do NOT appear in app at all. Does NOT recognize purchased scans. So bottom line, does not scan. Will not upload label photos. Does not recognize good wine by name. Completely utterly useless, I am deleting immediately after writing this. If I could give this 0 stars or NEGATIVE stars, I would.

Fun and responsive. My friends and I have had a great deal of fun trying wines and comparing our thoughts to reviews on hello vino, and I love the various ways to pick wines...by mood or adventure. I was disappointed in the pairings with food, emailed the experts about what I found lacking, and was extremely pleased to receive a personal and prompt answer! I cannot say enough how fantastic this is! The people behind the ap care to make it better for the end user, and welcome suggestions. I'm a believer.

Constantly Shows Notification On Icon. What the heck is up with the little "1" notification that constantly sits on the app icon? It looks like I have a new update, message, or something else new that usually I have to view before the notification will go away, but I've checked EVERYTHING in the app and it still shows up. Please fix this, it's annoying! Also, please add some of the typical "cheap" wines that you can find in any grocery store. There has been countless times where I've searched for a not-so-unique $10 bottle, and nothing shows up! C'mon, not all of us are wine snobs that can afford a $30+ bottle every other day...and if we were, we wouldn't need the app because we'd already know our stuff! I think out of every app on my iPhone, this is the only one that I haven't seen an update for, and I've had the app for about a year. Please make some updates or I will be deleting the app very soon.

Disappointing. This app is pretty disappointing. I had such high hopes, as the star rating was high, and the number of reviewers was high as well. I paid $3 to have adds removed, however every time you enter the app, I am hit with a full page add to sign up and save. Then I paid $5 to be able to take scans, because this is not a basic feature. You either enter an email address for a limited number, or pay for unlimited. Neither is worth it, as the feature doesn’t work properly. It takes a while to load. When it does I’ve experienced 3 issues 1) it can’t find my wine 2) the wine title is populated to the search field, making you think it found the wine, but you get a pop up saying the wine can’t be found 3) the wine is found, however when I try to select nothing happens. I would expect that after paying the amounts I did that I would t have anything to complain about.

Easy and helpful app. With a nice, clean interface and clear menu options, this app holds a wealth of information but is not overwhelming to a non-wine snob like myself. It's easy to navigate to wine options depending on your meal, or you can go the other way and tell it what type of wine you have, and it will suggest meals. I only wish for one improvement; I would like to be able to sort the suggested wine list by price (or availability?), so that I have a better chance of finding a suggested wine at a restaurant with a more limited wine list. Excellent app, and you can't beat the price.

Fair. Not enough wines are listed. Even Yellowglen, (mass produced wine) isn't reviewed. Some brands are there but if so one vintage out of five. This app can be improved.

SCAM. Bought the unlimited scans pack, paid and nothing updating on the app. Keeps prompting me to pay for scans. This is a scam

Crashing. Have only had the app on my iPad for a week and it is continually crashing. When the app was working the edit option kept disappearing and I have to restart for it to return.

Good but .... Easy to navigate and a good database BUT ratings of stored "My Wines" are randomly deleted.

Lost info on recent update. I've been using this app For almost a year now. I had many wines on it all with pictures. When I did the recent update I noticed today that the pictures are gone. I am really not happy about this. All the time and work gone. And the new app format is nowhere as good as the old one.

This app is crashing all the time. Sad... This app is worthless and crash all the time. Come on! Dev team!

Prejudice for data plans.... I have been using this app for a few years, as I like to try different wines with special meals. It was handy...until recently. I choose to not have a data plan, and now I cannot use the app without Internet access. That's just wrong. Shame on the creators for succumbing to the financial greed.

Cool idea!. I like the idea of wine collection via App. There are still a long way to go for this app to collect wine info as much as possible. Yet, I see the great potential of this idea. If they can extend it into a global wine networking platform, it can perform even better!

Good, But. Good app, but it would be nice to have Canadian content. You can take it's wine type recommendation, then just pick the type from your Canadian wine selection, but if it actually gave specific Canadian recommendations, it'd be better.

Disappointing. This is first time I have posted comments on an app. I wanted a wine app an unfortunately there are too many to choose. I had always thought that with a free app I couldn't really go wrong. This app was free but to use the scan feature requires a payment. You can't get a sense of how it works until you pay. When I did pay, I quickly discovered the app has limited ability to identify wines accurately. When I use the search option, I had better results but strangely, it wouldn't associate the bottle photo with the search results. At minimum, the app developer should give people a couple of free scans to see how it works. Without that, my assessment is this app is a scam.

Easy to browse and large database. Really comes handy when in the need to pick a wine on the go or just browsing for fun!

Good but needs more data. The database of wines is lacking (either that or Canada has different wines than the US) but the food pairing suggestions works very well.

Bad app scan does not work. After paying and trying the scan for the app, it crashes and it will not scan, how did Apple allow them on the site, time for Apple to clean up the App Store and remove it

Saved me!. Thank god I didn't need Internet connection for this app. I needed to find the wine type for my taste while I was at lcbo, and it helped me from standing there like an idiot. Lol my saviour, 5 stars!

Excellent. As a beginner to wine tasting I am really enjoying this app, most especially the audio wine reviews for each individual wine. Could you have an interface where you can send an audio or video clip of a review to a friend ? It might even encourage them to install the app on their iOS device. Waste of money. No good, there is a bunch of in app purchase for special features. I stupidly bought these features and they don't work!... Searching labels by using your camera. $5+..... Getting rid of adds $2+..... Finding out your a dummy for buying into a bad app, priceless...

Canada???. Where is Canada in the list?? Some of the best wines are from here. Update this app to include Canada already!!!!

It's okay.... I work in a liquor store and got this hoping it would be helpful to recommend wines and get to know more about our products. While this app has a few of them, it really doesn't have a lot of wines in its database. It also charges to scan labels/barcodes and the prices are not accurate to the area, which is unfortunate. Still pretty good compared to other wine apps though.

Could be so much better. Search is cluncky, missing a lot of wines by region (sonoma search only shows Pinot?). Missing all Canadian wineries. Not useful really at all.

Missing a lot. This app is missing a lot of countries and different kinds of food and wine. For example what wine is best to drink with calamari? They were missing a popular German Reisling that is found in the USA and they ARE missing Canada. The idea is interesting but they should make this app updatable by english language iPod/iPhone users around the world and monitored by the app publicators and by other iPod/iPhone users. If they do want to make this app for multi-language users then I hope they have people who can properly translate the sentances.

Great app. This is a great app. I am able to save my favourites plus find new wine for different meals. It's easy to use and a welcome addition to my iphone

Great app!. Handy and convenient. I like the scan mode so you can more information about the wine.

New Version a visual improvement but with functional glitches. I like the new look but there are functional issues and glitches. Examples include (i) several of the "More" menu options end up with error pages; (ii) The forgot password function is slow and often times out; (iii) The photo images of wine labels is promising but labels are not fully readable and cannot be enlarged or enhanced; and (iv) a really basic deficiency is the details on Wines viewed does not include the country of origin. I think this Ap could be great but its not there yet.

Great app. Have been trying to find a good wine app for a while where you didn't have to subscribe or pay extra to get advice. This app fits the bill, with suitable pairings for a variety of cuisines as well as recommendations of what wines to buy and prices, as well as a section for your wine wishlist or notes on wines you've tried. I haven't played with all the features but I like everything so far. There are in app purchases for advanced bells and whistles but it's still a good app without having to buy them.

A great work in progress.... As an individual in the wine business, this app is one hell of an undertaking. As it is, the app is very good at basic recommendations. It could use some work in its recommendations by Country/Region, but as I said, it's a great undertaking and I'm looking forward to future versions of this app with more recommendations, however as it currently is, I think it could really use quite a bit more. I await further updates. :)

Not that great for wine notes. For keeping track of your own wine purchases, not that great. Can't search nor apparently export your wine notes. Auto correct in the wine name field? Turn that off - every wine's name fails with auto correct at least once. That's the lack of attention to detail that by itself doesn't make the app worthless but with other items like it make it difficult to enjoy. There's another review in here with detailed notes that is quite thorough. I agree with that review and won't spend my time writing more. I'm going to find something else.

Most responsive Customer Support Ever. I don't know much about wine apps but I tip my hat to the reponsiveness from Hello Vino when I had problems with an earlier version. Not only did I receive suggestions on how to work with the app but when the update came out I received a personal email suggesting I try again (I never left). I've had fun taking some photos of various bottles.... like others say many are not in the database but I have had enough success with the app that I will keep using it. Buying a few bucks worth of photos makes the app that much better and is certainly not expensive. Thanks.

Hello Vino. I really like your site and have entered all of my wines. I would rate you five stars if you would let me sort my wines by red or white! Also the sorting by date in my wines does not work. Take care of these and you are ***** by me! Packard38 2/5/14. Your updated version looks good but is not easy to use (IPad). I like to keep my wine inventory and tasting notes. You have made it harder to do that!

Not bad at all, could use further tweaking. Great app for somewhat beginner vintner and wine drinker. I like that I can rate and write notes for wines I've tried, although I wish this saved list was searchable. Would also be nice to integrate a wine cellar management section to keep track of everything but very good overall.

Well done!. This app is amazing! Finally a wine app that has it all. I've downloaded about ten different wine apps, none of them compare. And then I started listening to a podcast called 'wine for normal people' and found this app! Great app, great podcast! I recommend both. So very user friendly.

Love the app. Well I live in Thailand now and I use this app at the western store where I buy my wine and other things I can not get. Snap a photo and read the reviews. Like them to at a world feature for all the expats can use in there region were they live but great work. I always pick the best wine as my friends say when we get together

If you like wine and you like food you'll like this. While I typically choose something that I like with my food I don't get to explore many grape variaties because I tend to always buy what I know I like, this pairing gives you the chance to explore different possibilities. This is good for those that don't know what they like or for new wine drinkers as well.

Great. Great app. New interface is a very nice upgrade. I have issues with the pictures in my list displaying since the new upgrade, and it would be nice if it could open to "my list". Overall it is by far best I've found, and developer is good with updates, so all bugs do get quickly resolved.

Novel idea. Handy app for casual wine drinkers who want to expand their tastes. The wine suggestions have been spot on in most cases and I enjoyed some that I wouldn't have thought to try. Only thing I can't figure out is the wine profile-I've saved around 20 favorites and have yet to get any personal recommendations based on my taste. Regardless, plenty of reasons to download this app and no reason not to.

Very good list and easy to navigate. I found the site before a huge family dinner. I needed to bring a bottle or two for dinner but did not know what was the bet for the occasion. SO I tried 4 different apps one by one the were either disappointing or incomplete. I then found this app and now it is my favorite and it's easy to use for any for any occasion.

The wine virgins 😄. As my husband I hit our forty's we have decided to try drinking more wine.. Which is a LOT more romantic then beer or whiskey.. Lol and since we have 0 clue what the heck is going on I downloaded this app to help aid us in this amazing new adventure.. And I have to say AWESOME!!! Ok. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a wine expert. But this app is really only for the complete novice. Very limited database, and it doesn't allow you to change your price range setting once you set it initially. (At least not that I've found after playing with it for a while). The regional database is also limited. Even the interface is limited. How about letting me search by varietal? Or varietal AND region. It's just very very basic.

Nicely done. Yeah you need Internet for brand suggestions and search, but you can get the type of wine in offline mode; and you really need to know the basics of every wine cause this app goes straight to the pairing (which I love) without much explanation. I'll give it the other two stars with more offline content and an option for saving your favorites and sharing your own pairings Thanks for this app, by the way.

Pretty nice app. I've been using this app for 2 years. It works really well in pairing wines with meals. The wine bottle label recognition system works only average and is the only issue with this app. I have purchased a large number of wine label recognitions... When it doesn't work it should not take away a label recognition from your account. I understand there are millions of wine bottles and its a major task but if it fails.. Why pay for it.

Nice App, great Customer Service. I like wine pairing suggestions, recommendations and variety of wines in the app. Very intuitive navigation and simple interface. I especially would like to mention great customer service, they helped me solve some app issues on a weekend! Highly recommend.

For wine novices only. Pairing recommendations are mostly new world. It would be nice to see more old world options. Champagne recommendations are actually all sparkling wine - none are actually French. Food options are basic, but helpful. However, if you are combining foods, it doesn't help you find a general option to pair with for example a cheese tray where you serve more than one kind of cheese. Also, it keeps crashing.

My Wines. So this is just par for the course now- I wrote the following review a couple of years ago but I still have disappearing photos. Since I hardly use any other function in this app it's especially annoying: I notice that my label photos are gone, again, with the latest update (in the "my wines" function). I saw there was an option to restore the photos but after I executed that feature they still weren't restored.

Almost useless. This is made to help you order from their store. It knew nothing about the wines I have available and was difficult to use if you already knew the variety and just wanted to see how it stacked up. The search was not very handy especially with foreign wines, and after a few times I just took it off. I already know what goes with what. I really wanted something that would easily show me good deals on the less expensive wines. This app was not useful for that. Thumbs down.

Easiest one to use. It looks like they update their database often. Very easy to add wine that I've had, rate it, and then find what I've had. Other apps make this process much more difficult. I wish they would have a pro version that did label and barcode searches vs. a per use charge. Text entry is not too big a deal tho. For what I need (wines rated by me), this is #1.

Excellent Customer Service. I too had trouble maintaining my Unlimited Image Recognition Scans, but I contacted customer service and they worked with me until my issue was resolved. For some reason iTunes was not recognizing my account name as an owner of the app, but Hello Vino was able to track down my purchase through my email address and restore my scans, so problem fixed and I am back to drinking again. Ha!

Very helpful. It's free and provides assistance selecting wine for any occasion. You may not be able to find the exact bottle that the app is recommending but you at least know the type to search for and that has been very helpful.

A Sommelier friend in my iPhone!!!. Totally in love with this app. I had a little issue with it not posting on Facebook, but technical support is above par. I actually deleted three other apps I had, since this one is the most comprehensive, easy to use app ever!!! Also a great companion to the blog and Wine for Normal People podcast. Can't wait for their weekly down to earth and truly awesome conversations about wine. No arrogance, no fake. Just cool friends hanging out chatting about wine and all inclusive. LOVE IT!!!!

Great App. Alright, I work at a winery and this app is pretty darn good. For those complaining about the under $10 selection: grow up! Yes, there are many solid, modestly priced wines available but overall you get what you pay for. If you want a great wine/food pairing, you're going to have to dish out a little bit of cash. If you want to save money learn the name of a grape you like and experiment with brands.

My favorite 🍷 app.. I have been using this app for about one year, and it has been very useful. I love the ability to take a snapshot and write notes about the wines I purchase. I haven't actually made any of the recipes, but the feature that links to a recipe to compliment the wine you've chosen is pretty handy. Out of the wine apps that I've tried, this is my favorite.

Sadly this is a useless app. Scanned 5 labels and the app didn't get a single one of them right, yet it charged me for each one. Recognizing that the label recognition portion of the app was not functional, I decided to type in the names and search that way. Here, the price points were wrong on 4 of the 7 searched, the year wasn't listed or even considered, and I could not find the option to upload my own photo to match to the wine. In the end I will delete this app and continue my search to locate, catalogue and rate my wines.

Great App!. This app is so easy to use and extremely useful for the novice, who's just learning to appreciate proper wine pairings! For the first time, I feel I know what to shop for, and why. This app has given me a newfound pleasure--EVERY meal has been made better because of this app!

A very helpful tool!. I've had this app for at least 3 or 4 years and it never fails. I love it because even as a free app I can take pictures, write notes to myself, and build a database of my favorite wines and the stores I've purchased them from.

Searchable and scannable (for a price). I wanted it originally because it was a free app. I could find some wines via search but not all. So I purchased the unlimited scan if labels to find the ones that a search didn't have. It left me with the result of not found! What is the purpose of purchasing the scan function! The application is nice looking and it has some functionality but don't purchase it if you're looking for wines that aren't mainstream apparently.

Love it!. I'm a complete novice when it comes to wine, and only like something sweet. This app has been wonderful in helping me know which wines I will like, and compiling a list so I can refer to it when shopping. The descriptions are informative and very helpful. Also, there was a slight glitch when I first used the app. I reported the problem, and the support people immediately got back to me with the solution. Great app, and great developers!

Useful app. I like the ability to search the wines I list in the collection by name or vintage. This is a big help when I am deciding on which bottle to open, since I can quickly evaluate which wines I have held the longest. The attached photos are helpful in quickly recognizing the bottle when I decide to purchase a replacement. It would be helpful to have more fields, including the ability to sort by grape varietal and price.

Find wine for any occasion!!!. This app is awesome! Tell it what you plan to eat and it'll give you a wine type and specific brand/bottle to pair it with. Also works in reverse. Tell it what bottle you have and it'll tell what food it compliments. Never give the wrong wine gift again! It'll also recommend wine based on your wine-taste preferences. Love it :-)

I Love Wine. No really I do, and I promised myself that I would use this app more often this year to track the wines I like. This is a simple, useful, friendly, and fairly deep application. I don't use all its features, although I have explored everything this app has to offer; in fact, I really only use it to track the wines I drink, but it's free and like I said it's fairly deep depending on how much you intend to use of it. I like it so it gets 4 stars. There are some features I wish it had, but it's no reason not to get it.

Very useful wine app!. This app is a must-have for wine enthusiasts of all knowledge & experience levels! It's especially handy if you're just starting to get into & interested in wine. My favorite features are the wine pairing suggestions by meal, the search for local retailers for particular wines, and the ability to save wines that you've tried along with your comments on said wines. Absolutely a must-have for wine lovers!

Perfect for in the grocery store!. I love using this while I'm doing my grocery shopping/meal planning. It also came in handy around the holidays, which can sometimes be a little difficult to pair nicely. The only thing I would encourage is for the developers to keep adding more food options, especially ethnic foods! Thanks for a great app!

Search fails miserably. If you want to use the label identification, don't waste your time with this app. I bought the minimum of 20 searches, used five and got zero identifications. After the first failure, I started taking pictures of common wines you can buy in the grocery store, with no luck. In one case, it identified a 2001 vintage of a mass produced wine, but since the photo was of the 2008 vintage, I typed in the correct year. It came up with no match. That's about as pitiful as it gets. I have no idea if the rest of the app works well or not and I have no desire to investigate.

WAS a Useful, Helpful App. After this app was revamped a while back it went from being one of my favorite apps to one of the most disappointing. Suggestions and pairings are now very minimal, and it seems they just want to sell me something. I used to love searching for foods to pair with a type of wine I already had, and I don't think I can even do that anymore. Hoping for the development of a new app that is more like this one used to be.

Good use for matching. I have a couple wine apps on my phone and found this one the easier to use. There may not be to many specific wine reviews but I use it more to match varietals and styles rather than look for a specific wine.

Depends what you want. Looks beautiful but is primarily focused on selling you wine vs providing you with detailed information about the wine. The other big emphasis is on food paring. Info and ratings are highly limited and skewed towards wines produced in huge quantities with wide distribution. This app is not where you will find a small producer from Sonoma (let alone Burgundy) to impress your friends. Wine info / ratings (if it exists at all beyond describing the grape) also did not include multiple years or differentiate by year which as anyone with a bit of wine knowledge knows is key.

Love the Locapour Options!. I have looked at so many apps that tell me about the same wines over and over again. HelloVino goes a step further, by showing wines from all over the country. Perfect for those folks looking to eat AND drink local! Thanks!

Vino. A useful app when you need some help looking for wine to match with food ; other than going with red for beef and white for chicken. I have found this helpful to distinguish between different types of wine while I'm standing in the store looking at the bottles on the shelf.

Great! But one suggestion. I have always loved using this! It's so simple and refined, and very helpful. One thing I would improve though is the food pairings for wine I already have took me a long time to find and figure out. I think there should be a selection on the main menu that says simply "Meals for your wine" set up the same way "Wine for a meal/occasion" works.

I want to like this app. I think the premise is good, the AI was attractive to me, has a nice layout, but I have a few issues. FYI, I am $4.99 into this app, so I can scan. For instance, when I look up a wine type, like Bordeaux, or a maker, when I click the individual wines nothing happens. Also, there is no way to go to the next page on a long list that obviously continues on. Either I do not understand the fundamentals of using this app, the developers do not, or it is buggy. That is why I said 2 stars, in case it is user error. I tried to create an account and it would not let me register, said I have to be over 21. I am over 60 and I put in the appropriate birthdate. And why did I have to put in the same info in several places? Also, the wine descriptions are a little generic, I am labeled as a wine enthusiast. Being that this is somewhat associated and promoted with a popular podcast, I was hoping for more. No help files or ability to put in suggestions.

Yes, Finally!. You know the feeling when your expectations are exceeded and you sort of have that sigh that releases hidden tension with the world and "finally" summarizes how long you've been waiting for something for cater you? I had that moment with this app. If this app was a human I would have a drink with her - anytime. (In fact... I do). Laugh & Enjoy.

Seems Nice but Not Completely. Creating an account was extremely difficult. It should automatically capitalize your first letter, like every other app out there. It does not sync properly between iPhone and iPad like it says it will. Was really excited until it didn't work as easily as other apps. It could be great - take the time to make it better.

Good App if you want try new wines. I have yet to actually try any of the wines that it has recommended but I have found a couple that are of interest. The only update that I think would help would be a link to the best source to purchase the wine from or even maybe a link to a google search of some sort.

Wine-o. Really enjoy this! I live in a suburb and haven't been able to find a lot of the recommendations, nor does it recognize some of the brands in my local area. It's still very helpful and helps to learn about different kinds of wine I haven't tried! I can look morw of the recommendations when I'm in an area with a better selection.

Useful. I like that it suggests a type if wine given some sort of food (including types of cheese), exactly what I was looking for. Then I can choose specific brands. I don't know if it will have wines available in Alaska, though it most likely will.

Fantastic Update!. Love the new, updated design and experience. I'm no expert oenophile, but I am picky and on a budget, and this app has helped me remember which wines I prefer so I can spend wisely. Since the update, I've used it for finding recommendations to suit my taste--something I wasn't compelled to do in the former design. À ta santé!
