Interface needs work. Barely usable. Please consider a redesign.

Deleting App. Not user friendly. The free version doesn't allow to check for future dates. Good options though if you want to know right now.

Not free. App doesn't disclose that there is a $2.00 annual fee until after installing...

Subscription. Not good for use in the States. You need to buy it every year for a new license. Not worth it.

DO NOT BUY. As others have said, this is all bait and switch. After downloading this app that does nothing, I tried TideTrac and it's awesome.

Best tide app for the price (but not free). Best tide app around - really. I'm not sure what the complaining is about. I bought this app when it was $2 up-front (not on the app store), and it has features normally found in similar apps selling for $10-15. Loads of US locations - I count about 20 near Paris Island alone while other apps often just show one. Also it has offline use (no connection required), nice data display, currents ….. I recently killed three other tide apps on my phone since I found I no longer used them since getting this app. As far as I can see, the negative comments are due to the "free" claim. Apparently that is just a limited demo. Probably not a good marketing tactic, but with so many tide apps out there you need some way to try-before-buy. Regardless, the app is a great bargain at the price. (Not affiliated in any way with anyone.)

NOT FREE. Free to download. Then you need to play if you want information for tomorrow or next week. LOOK AT THE REVIEWS...MOST ARE NEGATIVE, AND FOR A GOOD REASON! Too bad there is no negative star.

Clunky. Can,t get anything but tides for current day, in free version anyway. Not clear if I get more by paying, or what. Not much use for planning.

Too Limited in many ways. Tides are important but currents are critical and missing. I agree with other reviewers this app is good looking but not intuitive. The number of steps required to get current location tide data is excessive. This freeware is limited to todays tides only so you need to buy the full version to see tomorrow. In reviewing the full version it appears to be subscription based so it must be repurchased annually. That's not how I want to buy or use a tide program. They rattle on about licensing fees which is odd because there are public domain algorithims for computing tides that have been in use in PC applications for decades.

Warning!. The latest version will NOT work on IOS 7.1.2 Most apps will not install an update if the IOS version is too old to support it, but TidesPlanner goes right ahead. So, I now have a non-working app. I emailed customer support and got no reply.

ok. Pretty good, you dont need to know currents if you know anything about water...high tide, the current is coming in, low tide, current is going out. so difficult i know. app is ok if you have a clue of whats going on

Marine Tides Planner … kinda crashes. Can I say it crashes if it won't even open (other than a nano-second) on my iPad? Works fine on my iPhone 4S. ???

An ambitious effort, but a confusing user interface. There's a ton of data presented in this app, but the numerous cryptic buttons and unlabeled numbers make it a jumble of unusable information. I'm sure the developer can figure out how to use it and what it all means, and maybe you can too, but it's not an app you can just open up and use. It keeps informing me that I "do not have a valid annual license for this port" so I'm not sure what data is being withheld for lack of a license.

That's a shame, since this app provides a wealth of other data. Also, the number of monitoring sites available is rather limited, at least for my area (California). Annoyingly, this apps asks every time for you to click the "accept" button concerning the app's data accuracy and liability (a one-time opt-in would be fine, but this is really not user friendly). So much promise, yet falls short like so many other tide apps. Deleted from iPod touch after one week.

Great tides app for beachgoers. We went to the RI shore for vacation and I wanted to know when the tides hit. This app was perfect. Thanks.

Self. Did not find my gps location.

Won't update. I have tried to update fro at least 10 times but never completes.

Extremely limited. Extremely limited in the ports you can select. The other tide apps have many choices, and I can find my location. This does not. I deleted it.

Lousy selection of locations. They've got 6 spots inside Monterey Bay and nothing along the coast between Monterey and San Francisco, not even Santa Cruz. Useless unless you live at one of their spots, like all the iPhone users along the coast of Africa.

Awful app don't waste your time.. This app is awful I'm standing on the beach wanting to know when high tide is I hit the gps loc and it comes up with the nearest port on the app about 30 miles away!

It's ok. as free is ok however i am not going to spend money to upgrade it.

Great work fixing it!. Thanks to the entire team for making this app possible. Customer service was very prompt when I told them about the issues the past version was encountering. This new version is running very well showing tides for all the regions. Thanks again.

Not user friendly. Tried this app and found it too difficult to use. I have little patience so if you're willing to spend the time to figure it out you might find it worthwhile. I just deleted it.

ACTUALLY, Zero stars. BUYER BEWARE, this tidal app is touted as "free", yet charges you for current year data. A TOTAL WASTE OF YOUR TIME! My review was rejected unless I gave it at least one star, because an option for zero is not provided. At least they are consistent in denying accuracy. I GIVE THIS APP ZERO STARS.

Hmmm. It's only a really good app if you are planning to go on a boat ride to specific places, but it's not very cool at all if you aren't.if you want to go boating, get this app. If not, you are in for some uselessness.

Great app. Great app, easy to use and most of the features you need

Cash every year. The app requires cash every year to be able to use features such as looking at tides a day ahead. Don't mind paying once but really? yearly?

Downloaded & Deleted. Doesn't have detailed NW locations. Specifically Vashon Island and inner harbor areas.

I shoulda read the reviews first!. Free to download, $1.99 to use (unless you really do need the tides during the year 2010) I am sure there is something better out there.

Garbage. What is the use of a tide planner if you can't plan ahead. This version is broken. One thing I hate about Apple is they like it when updates break software. It forces users to pay for a new version or else shove annoying ads down your throat. This particular app is useless because it no longer lets you look ahead to another day. I get an error message telling to change a setting that cannot be changed. You get today's tides or any tide information you want in 2009 or 2010. See what I mean about useless. Software should get better not worse over time. I think I will start my own software company and simply make software that works instead of junk that doesn't. It should be easy as there is no real competition.

Needs major update. Horrible, complicated & confusing interface.

Tides washed away my app. The latest app shows a flat tide. And when I tried to reload, I was told I didn't have a current license. I purchased the 2016 license in January. I refuse to pay it again! Very disappointed in this app.

They fixed it no more Bummer. Great turnaround on a fix. Tides for my area now work and I'm not sitting in the mud wondering what happened anymore. Nice job.

Tides. Nice graphical view, helpful for hydrographic survey baseline info. I really wish I could select units and Parameters such as MLLW.

What happened to this app. This app was great until the most recent update then the tide graph was flat, and when I reloaded the app after paying for annual tides I had to pay again, sorry I'm done with this app unless the upgrade gets fixed

rip off. Only "free" if you don't want it to be useful -- requires paying for current year data.

New update ruined it. App no longer works. I paid for 2016 license and cannot look at tides beyond 12 hrs. No access to company to seek fix or refund. SAD.

Very limited usability in the US, hate it!. No currents for the US, horrible user interface. Needs a lot of improvement. Should not be sold in the US. Regret buying the license.

iOS 4.2.1 and older ?!. I don't like this trend of not supporting older versions of iOS, and I don't mean version 2 or 3, but 4.. What is that all about…? We deserve an explanation, what is the reason of not supporting iOS 4.2.1? iPhone 3G can only go up to 4.2.1

Good stuff. I've used another tide app for a year now but this one is better. It's simple and clear to use and does what it claims. I would like access to more than one day for A$1.19 as an option. I would also prefer the 'yacht' cursor to be a red dot. This would be easier to read. Thanks guys. PS it would be great if the tide height updated every time I accessed it during the day rather than just reiterating the days original log in datum.

Cannot be trusted. Their Tide data is regularly late for any given High and Low tides date by as much as 35 mins for our local waters. A late Low Tide = navigating a skinny channel at night, thinking you've still got 30mins before low tide .... only to suddenly hit the bottom - ran aground !!

This App is unstable. I found whilst this App seemed brilliant at first, it quickly became unstable and would not open at all. After reloading it twice the same problem appeared after the second use of the App. Very dispointing wont be buying at this stage any other App from Tucabo. Get it right before u release it, thats my opinion

Crashing on IPad 1. I had version 10, which runs fine and is a very good app. I use it almost every day. I now have 12, but it crashes every time open it. I haven't been able to even try it. I hope it can be updated with a fix, because it does look good on ITunes.

Daylight saving?!. Does not account local daylight saving, no point, just use a local tidal guide.

Very Useful. Despite the Daylight saving issue I found this App very useful for the cruising sailor. Highly recommended.

Unreal. I have just downloaded this app and have found it very easy to use. Well done to the team involved with it. A great app.

launching off my beach. Very very very good. I have compared this with wx tide and other programs and this works well. The only thing missing that could improve it is sunrise and sunset information.

Ok but confusing. There's so much here and the many icons are "mystery meat" (don't know what's hiding underneath until you click on them). Somehow I managed to get to England when my only chart was in Australia, and I changed the tide height magically and can't reset it. Still, looks like there's a wealth of good features here for when I learn to use them.

I just want to know the tides. Horribly complicated, no labels on any buttons so you don't know what anything does

Mr. I have used this app for almost a year and the tides are always wrong by up to .8m and 45min difference, Not good when trying to nav waters with tidal movement of up to 8m..........

Tides Planner: Newest update crashes. After purchasing the 2016 data update it crashes repeatedly, now will not open or run at all on i-pad with IOS 7.1 Worked fine prior to recent (paid for) update. When I contacted them they knew about the problem. Their solution was to use an older version, which has last year's tide table data.

Version 3.20. Basically OK... BUT....I would like to be able to see a weekly view and also I want to be able to see the depths in FEET. The fact that there is no 'help' file make getting around a tad difficult. Even after downloading the manual it shows a 'preferences' page but not how to get there! Otherwise it is excellent.!

Tides. Found this to be interesting and useful. Great app! Glad I have it when I am heading out on a sail.

Not working properly. This latest version does not seem to be working properly: no curves, just a flat line.

Great, but.... The app has a lot of functionality, it takes some time to understand all of the options and symbols but easy to read once you understand them. Chart is great. I would like to know if more tidal stations are going to be added. Coverage is good, but not complete. You will probably pay for the planner.

Very useful app but.... I use it on a constant basis as a live reference but always combined with proper written tidal documents. Great tool but I noticed some slight difference in water level & important time differences between actual CCG ( Canadian) tides publications and prediction in TP that ranges from a few minutes to +/- 35 minutes in some locations for the past 3 years. Still using it as a quick reference once I know the daily variations.

Not user friendly. Don't like the interface. The clock is a joke. Hard to tell time. Less is more.

Free???. Having to pay to see future dates is terrible. If I want to plan for the next day I do not want to buy an extension. There are far better apps for this that cost money, but if you plan to buy the extension, use your money on a better app!!!!

Crashes on startup. Just installed the new update and it crashes on startup. I've got an iPhone 4 (OS 7.1.2). I really enjoyed using the app before the update. It's a very useful tool.

Wew3. This is not a user friendly tide chart system. Only allowed 3 favorites and difficult to load those. Tide graph funky. Current not available. Listed tidal stations are poor for nw USA, B.C. Look further for a tide chart, this one not worth it.
