Used to be good. Years ago this app was great. Now it’s information is all wrong. Addresses and pictures don’t match people at all and descriptions are not accurate. I would not trust this app for its intended purpose at all. Stay away

Not accurate. This app needs to be up to date. I know of several offenders that are not listed on this and that is just wrong. I paid money for the accuracy !!!

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO CORRECT!. This app is not even close to correct! I live in a downtown area of a medium size city and it shows ZERO offenders anywhere near me. Yet, a smaller city about 30 miles away shows A LOT of offenders. In addition, an app called “Sex Offenders” shows quite a few near me, as I know there are. That app is far more accurate. This one is NOT. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼.

Doesn’t work. Not sure what’s wrong or if this is even a real app, there are people with the same photos but different names and the. There are some of the same person/people that are in three different locations, I also looked up by name someone I know should be on here and they aren’t.

Don’t pay. Paid the 4.99 and I can’t even use the search feature, and the info isn’t accurate. How are you born in 1993 and your last offense was in 87’?🤔

INCORRECT INFO IN APP!!. This app is a great idea, but they have the wrong photos paired with the wrong images. For example ... as I write this, there is a duplicated entry for a man in MA named Michael David Gilim. Both entries have the exact same information in them, but have two different images attached to them — one of a black man, one of a white man. Obviously, they can’t both be correct. I found this mistake within the first TWENTY SECONDS of using the app ... which makes it clear that it’s pretty unreliable. Five stars for the idea, but two for poor execution.

Dosent show all. It shows none by me and i have two rhat i found on the webiste. This dosent show all of them. It also kept glitching waste of money

Sadly disappointed. I paid for the full version hoping to have accurate information anywhere I go especially live. Unfortunately every person on here coincidentally has the same tattoo on the left hand, same birthday, same alias, same EVERYTHING. The only thing different is the picture.

Does not work. I purchased this app five minutes ago. It will not let me look in a town without a name. I would like a full refund!!

Side view for some profiles. Some profiles only show a side profile. Not trying to be funny, but I would like to see the face for obvious reasons.

Missing offenders. This app is great as far as information. However I have a sex offender that lives across the street and doesn’t show. So I searched by name and it shows correct address but 40 miles away. Obviously that’s incorrect. I have another 1 block away and also doesn’t show. Just be careful that not all pop up when searching areas your in.

Update?. I paid for this app I don’t find it “fair” that the data is a year old! If you as a company are no longer active with the app. remove it from the App Store!! This is super disappointing

Pictures are wrong.. Many times the pictures are inaccurate. Missing offenders known to be living in areas etc. not a very good app

Some missing offenders. I was looking at the neighborhood my children live in and found no offenders. I then looked into whether there was another way to look for offenders and found there actually are offenders in both areas I searched on the app. Don’t depend solely on this app.

Great app. But you need to update more 2016 isn’t good enough

App somewhat works. Now this app does work to a point. I never knew how many sick people were in our area. Now the part that doesn’t work is I know we have 4 in our trailer park with 1 being our neighbor. Out of the 4, only 1 shows up. Hopefully the bugs get fixed as this app is great to have.

Don’t buy this!!. Wish I had read the reviews before I paid for this jumbled mess. Wrong information or Written very poorly. Find another app and read reviews before you buy the owners of this app doesn’t seem to care anymore.

Garbage. I purchased the app for my wife, For one the search doesn’t work and locks up For two when searching by location it only shows 100, and I know there’s way more than it’s showing. It’s got potential, but for now I uninstalled it off her phone. Until it’s working as advertised, it’s garbage That’s putting it nicely Waste of 2.99 plus tax.

Offenders with wrong names. Not Accurate. This App has offenders names listed with wrong photos. Some of them are listed twice. Totally inaccurate information. What good is this app when basically nothing’s correct. This app should either be updated correctly or be reported. It’s a joke

Small fix. Great but when it shows what offense they did it just shows “;;” and nothing else.

Information is not up to date.. Today i received a postcard in the mail advising of a high risk sex offender in the community. I then try to search for offender in the app and he is not in the system. Kind of scary because I believed the app was current and up to date of the offenders.

Not worth it at all. Every single offender says it happened in 1997. All of them. Nothing is up to date. Nothing is recent. The navigation is horrible. I’m very upset I paid for it. Even if it was a couple bucks. I’m about to delete or off of my phone .

Not updated. I know a sex offender that I actually just found out about (he’s been registered since 2000) and he is not on here. I wonder how many others are missing in my area. I could’ve kept me $2

Used to include every offender in my area. It used to include all the offenders in the area and surrounding towns now it’s trying to say there’s only a few that are living at the prison on Devens but none for like a 30 mile radius around me in all directions. CLEARLY not accurate at all. Would not put any trust in this anymore and I have the paid version I’ll probably uninstall and purchase a more reliable one.

YIKES. More often than not, the “offenders’” mugshots don’t even match the physical description, like a white guy’s mugshot for an offender described as black, or vice versa, etc. (this occurs a RIDICULOUS number of times!) This is terribly ineffective, and makes me seriously question ALL of the info provided, even if these mugshot are real offenders. Not sure if I want to keep this app. Fix it and we’ll see.

He was white and a black person is in the picture. Also there are a lot of entries with same name and address with different pictures. How should I trust this app?

Useless garbage. This is the most inaccurate app I’ve ever seen. And with something of this nature it should be as accurate as possible. I know there is more than 4 sex offenders in Vancouver WA. My supposed to know if my kids are going to be safe or not with this app if it doesn’t give accurate information it should be taken off App Store completely. I never even write reviews. But this is something I couldn’t stay quiet about.

Subjects show up in wrong cities. I enjoy the app however I’ve noticed that certain registrants that show up in my city are actually located in a completely different city in a completely different part of the state. I think the issue is that the street address is the same. Should be an easy fix

Inaccurate. It DOES list sex offenders in the area I live. However, many of the offender mug shots are listed over a description of another offender, many don’t match the sex or race or address. What gives?

Map problems. The app does find offenders but the map keeps recentering to my location and won't allow me to actually see red dots more than a few seconds until map zooms back to my location. Didn't use to do this. The lite version also has this problem. It does list names and addresses but it doesn't have the same impact of seeing a red dot just down the street.

List is old!!!! 2021 people are not added. Save your money. This app is very in accurate. I’m getting pings on another app telling me offender moved into area and gives his address. This app lists nothing around me. Worthless, gives you false sense of security.

You need this if you have kids. I utilize this in the town I live in to know who the bad guys are. I actually scroll through the offenders, locations, and utilize it like flash cards. If and when I run into one of these people I immediately recognize them. I also keep track of how close they live to my neighborhood. Nice to have.

WTH?!?. I got the lite version and looked for a better one. $150?!? So I bought this and now it’s not showing me a thing, and telling me to upgrade. Hey 5 bucks is 5 bucks and I don’t have $150 to spend on an app. I have 2 little ones that play outside a lot! I would like to know who’s around!

Doesn’t work. Saw several up to date, validated police listings of registered sex offenders in my area this morning, this app doesn’t show any of them.

Great idea poor execution. Terrible, waste of 2 bucks. Inaccurate to the point of being useless. I know there is an offender on my street yet this does not show that. I know there are over a dozen in an apartment complex in my town yet this app shows zero. Love the idea, love the pin and picture mechanic, but it is so inaccurate it is useless. Refunds should be available.

Search broken. If you search, the app reports “X found” but doesn’t list the results ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Does Not Stay Current. I know for a fact of a person that was released from prison in mid-late March that has been on Texas’ sex offender website ever since - it’s April 26th and he still does not appear in this app. Just keep this in mind. Edit: It’s now May 12th. Offender still doesn’t appear in this app. Save your money and just bookmark your state’s offender website if you want current info.

Descriptions do not match offenders photos!. Seriously. You post photo’s of African Americans and put in their descriptions that they have blond hair, blue eyes and are white. Seriously????? How can we belie e your information is correct if you cannot even post the obvious? Sorry I actually paid for this ap.

Not accurate. There are many registered sex offenders that are not included on this app. Another issue is that the list shows offenders in a completely different state, nowhere near current location. The free app that I have (not the lite version of this one) is much better. I wish I hadn’t wasted my $2–hopefully this review will help others not waste their money.

Everybody on this app is 65.. Everybody listed on this app is 65. The birthday I always see is January 30, 1954. I find it highly unlikely that everyone listed on this app was born on January 30, 1954. Let’s make sure our info is up to date please!

Not accurate at all. I compared the app to my state registry. There are 6 known offenders that have lived by me for years and this app does not even list 1 of them. Highly inaccurate, not worth the $1

Just got it. And all I see is an error that something went wrong.

Not accurate!. I downloaded this app and checked for sex offenders in my area. A whole list came up immediately, complete with a photo of each offender, description, address, and the crime they were convicted of. The problem is that I live in Oregon, so I went to the official State of Oregon Sex Offenders Website and searched the same area for registered sex offenders. The lists I pulled from this app and the one from the Official Oregon site were completely different! Either the State of Oregon or this app are completely wrong. I've got to assume that the State of Oregon can track their sex offenders! It's a shame that I had to select one star to be able to write a review. I'll hold onto this app for a little while to see if there is an acceptable update, or if I get ahold of some other information that explains why I have two completely different lists.

Great app while house shopping, sex offenders found only a street away! thanks.. This is VERY INNOVATIVE, downloaded app today and within seconds I found ALL sex offenders within range of the homes we were looking at buying. This App is a GPS device that can give you actual details of the sex offenders at your current location, including offense and picture of offender. It could even be your next door neighbor... Very scary. My new home buying experience is a reality of what can be living around a corner. It is a comfort that made our decision very clear. I DEFINITELY recommend this to everyone whether you are just shopping for new home or own a home now. It protects your entire family,especially children to any dangers of sex offenders around you. Thanks. First and foremost I want to thanks the people who developed this app. This app has empowered me to know the crazy and sick people out there that lives close to me. With this knowledge I am more cautious than ever and have really taken steps to make sure no one in my family becomes a victim. Knowledge is power and you have given us the tool to protect ourselves and our family. I can't say thank you enough. I have recommended this app to all my friend and they downloaded this app and are glad they did. I know cops out there that also uses this tool. Don't be discourage by the negative review because there are plenty of people that are thankful for this app and maybe have saved people. Great job!!!!

Alias Names are broken. It says every single predator has the alias name of “Watson, Daniel”, which is clearly an error. In a task as serious as identifying sexual predators, there is no room for this kind of stupid error.

Outdated. Old and shows offenders who are deceased. Also everyone’s last offense date happens to all be March 1997.

Nothing works. This app does not work. Not one single search function works. Don’t waste money.

17 within 1 mile radius of home. Great app for parents. Scary to find this many registered offenders so close to home. Even worse one of my children's former sports coach was listed as a local offender. Always had qualms about him as he was too insistant about giving her rides home from practice so that I would not have to stay. Also too many pats on the girls backs and those "shoulder hugs" Needless to say, but I always declined trusting my parental vibes. Sgt. Davis is right on target about offenders NOT registering. This man is listed as not only violent, BUT he did not register himself as an offender!!! My child was 13 when he coached her. Kids have instincts too. She thought he was too "weird" and touchy. She too, wisely disclined his offer of rides home. Point being listen to your parental vibes and listen to your kids when they talk!!!! You never know that they may be correct!!!!

Data / Photo Mismatch. Photos of offenders do not match the corresponding names and data. Application is pretty much useless without valid data.

Incomplete. Using this app didn’t show the offender right around the corner from me.

Not as current as it could, or should be. The two issues I have with Offender Locator are 1) how often it is updated, and 2) the inability to adjust the map. I receive updates from my State's sex offender registry via email, and I note that there are discrepancies that appear to be related the frequency with which Offender Locator is updated. Specifically, addresses for some individuals are different (suggesting they have moved), and some individuals that are included in the State's registry are not yet listed on Offender Locator. The second issue is that you can't zoom in, or out, on the maps provided. So in rural areas without a lot of roads to serve as landmarks, it can be difficult to identify the location without entering the address into a secondary mapping application. On a positive note, it is much easier than trying to locate the information on a state-by-state basis if you are like me and my family that travel a lot.

Outdated. In North Idaho, this has not been updated since 2018. It says an offender lives in a rental property I own, which he does not and has not since I have owned it.

Thanks For The Update. California is working again!!! Thanks for making it easy to protect my child. Yes, this information is free online but what I'm paying for the easy access esp. when I'm not home and need to look up a location (more now since we are looking to but a home). One problem I already forsee is the new map pin. Don't care to much for it. Revert to the previous version or update to make the search easier and I'll change my rating to a 5. Overall - California is working again. --------------------- Previous Review: What happened to the Cali database? I bought this app over a month and a half ago to support this program. Now I try to access the app and was directed to the lite version...WTF??? If the issue with California is "free information", then Apple should refund ALL users not just CA residents. I will change my rating once or if the issue is resolved. Until then...don't bother buying. I just wish we could rate lower then 1 star. Apple needs to address that as well.

Great App. Not sure what everybody is complaining about but this app works just fine for me- I have tried it in Phoenix, AZ (where I live), Oregon, and the DC/Northern VA area and each time I have received in the inquiry a fairly long list of offenders along with their picture in most cases and a description (which will vary by state according to laws) of the act committed. Not once has the app crashed for me as so many others have. The only thing I couldn't say with certainty regarding this app is that while each list I built has many on it, I don't know if it missed some. All in all great app!

It's a scary world. Pros I'm surprised at the number of "offenders" around me at any given time. Good photos of each offender. I won't list Cons, but here is what potential info would make this worth more $$$ to us users: Date of last update - if I view info on an offender that hasn't been updated in 10 years, I might consider that person differently than if it was updated yesterday. Someone needs to "proof" each individual. I saw one picture of a guy with hair. But the listing showed Hair: Bald. (OOPS) Last Offense missing in many, many offenders. A "Legend" of Offenses would be helpful to us less enlightened. Perhaps a "Star" rating on the degree of the offense to make it easier to understand their offense. How many times have they offended? THAT would be valuable information. How long were they incarcerated? And when were they released?

Convenient. Not sure why people are having problems with this app but it works fine for me and it's very accurate. I do have an issue with the map view though... there needs to be a way to zoom and pan across the map! Some areas have more hits but not all hits are viewable on the static map, even when you search by city instead of GPS location. It would also be a lot quicker if you used the internal map API instead of using the maps from Bing... this would also solve the lack of zoom/pan.  Overall a very decent app and I really wish people would stop complaining about .99 cent apps that provide "convenient" access to information that is generally free on the web. If it's free and you didn't want to spend .99 cents then why the hell did you download it in the first place???!!! Did you actually expect to receive 10 times the functionality of a .99 cent app that clearly stated what it does in the description?  Perhaps maybe to be surprised with live video feed inside the house of an offender? LOL seriously... grow up! Note: it's also not possible to receive "more" information on the crimes than what is publicly available online. You have to request a disposition at the court house where the trial was held by law. Sex offender laws are even more strict to prevent riots or vigilanti behavior :) only the location, type of crime, and the victim's age range are available (information that relates to the crime itself anyway).

Okay seriously?. As the title states, seriously? Guys this is rediculos. Everywhere I am seeing this 1 start rating and the "I've wastes my .99cents!" stuff. It is 99 cents! I bet you can find that much inbetween you couch and if not it is seriously not the end of the world like some are making it out to be. And as far as the "I want to protect myself and or children stuff" if you are seriously telling me that you trust this app enough with your familys security instead of a gov. Approved website completly devoted to this kibd if stuff then all I have to say is wow! Maybe I should give you a one star rating on common sense then? Sounds fair to me. And as others have said it is free! So you don't have to waste your money

None show up. I have an offender living right next door to me and 12 in a 1 mile radius according to the national registry and non of them show up on the app

New to app. But my neighbor is a known sex offender and isn’t listed. Just a idea more updates are needed

The BEST $1 I have paid ever!. This is unbelievable! I'm a student and am very frugal when it comes to these App stuff! But, seriously! I thought that I lived in a peaceful neighborhood (East Side - the most affluent place in Providence) until I found out that there are 5 creepy sex offenders living less than a 0.5 mile away! And, boy, they look VERY creepy!! I'm sure these people have done more than sexual assault, so this is GREAT! I don't have kids, but i worry about myself! It's cheaper than a bar of Snickers, so PAY for it and you might be surprised; the sweet grandpa living down the street might have raped kids! So, it's a MUST-HAVE ! I wholeheartedly thank to the people who designed this app!

Doesn’t work. Just paid 99¢ and I do NOT see perverts listed in my town ( where I know there are registered sex offenders ) so I’d say this app does not work

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY (Part 2).. The Customer Support for this application ignores my inquiries for a current offender status update or to bring the offender list up-to-date. Apparently, if you purchase this application, you will only get those offender information that was posted in the past. Read below (under my comment name) for my reviews and my complaint regarding how long ago these information have NOT been updated. Four weeks after my initial request to the web-master of this potential application have gone unanswered and ignored. If the anyone buying this wasteful application do not mind looking at the same informations time and again, then it's your choice; but my advise is to save your money and dedicate your resource to looking for your information free of charge on the web. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APPLICATION- it is only a waste of your money.

So Little Paid For SO MUCH INFORMATION!. Is this app "Perfect"? NO - definitely not! I'm sure their database needs a bit of updating, but ... within just 2 minutes, I was able to locate 5 PERVERTS who live within 2 miles of my home. In my mind - this, alone - was worth the price of admission. I think that any parent not willing to spend such a small amount of money for an app that could offer so much "peace of mind" says volumes about their "parenting skills" and true concern for the well-being of their children. If you have children or just care about the general safety of children close to your heart - BUY THIS APP!

"Use To"...Works great!. Gave me a shock when I saw who they were. Also how near my area. My teens loved looking up their friends addresses with their friends. I was shocked again, when they said they have seen some of them before! Glad my kids & there friends said now we have an idea of who to stay away from! Which lead them into talking about how to be more safe. This is a must get app for parents! Well worth the money when it comes to the safety of kids! (Update on use) September 25, 2013 Lately app is not working very well keep getting errors on address and things. Hope an update comes to fix things. (Update on use feb 23, 2014) app not updated fails to load or show all offenders. Even when GPS is on. Very sad it is no longer working. (Update June 23, 2016) app still not working right. Load fails and gps errors loading errors connection problems. Was hoping to find an update but did not so I have left an updated review.
