Relatively useful. Go to settings to speed up the testing if you get bored. Intervals go up only; descending intervals might be useful, too.

Great tool!. I just started using this app for review with hearing intervals. It is very useful to start hearing better. No matter what level we are musically, it is always good to keep our basics fresh. This app does that!

Helpful interval practice. It's basic and un-fussy.

Solid. I like switching between piano and guitar. I didn't notice battery issues so I will need to watch that next time.

relative pitch. Tried perfect pitch training... usually got about 60% correct; so decided to try relative pitch. This is my first day— and I’ve had some success, some challenges... but I’m enjoying it and I may develop better pitch discrimination.

Interesting. I think this could be helpful for musicians starting out. The app works well and walks you through each step. One option might be to let users proceed more quickly if they already know all basics.

Ear Training Tool. Perfect tool to quiz, and stay on top of intervals. Very easy to use on go. Two thumbs up!!

Great for beginners. I have an ear that struggles with even tuning a guitar. Some other apps are made for people with more talent and skills than I have but this one starts you off easy and you can increase your capability as you progress. Perfect for someone like me.

Simple, straightforward, easy drill! Nice.. The user controls are great. Glad to have this app. I find this sort of thing addictive and fun--not to mention that you get better at recognizing intervals the more you play. It works.

Great for learning intervals. Finally I have my tone deaf wife telling the difference between unison and tone. I'm working on thirds with my daughters, and I'll have to buy the full version so I can get the bigger intervals. Easy to use, pleasant encouraging voice feedback. A little slow on the replay button. And chords would be a nice addition. Five stars! This is what an app should be - fun and educational in a mobile format.

Pitch. This program is absolutely great for learning about music. It explains things in a way that is relatable and easy to understand for those who have difficulty learning how to be musically correct musically literate. I say add the app... You won't regret it!!!

Great App. Great app for what it does. Easy to use with good quality sound (notes sound like a piano). Follows traditional ear training methods. All intervals are played relative to the same "Do"/tonic (middle C). So, no testing of intervals relative to different keys/key centers (i.e., no functional harmony training). Great free app.

I'm improving!. My ear training is improving, I like this app. I wish it would play intervals in different registers to better train my ear though. But for the basics it's pretty swell.

Very useful ear training program. I just was checking this lite version and I got hook up in training my ears I definitely buying the full one I found it very useful to my music education.

Great tool for beginners. Gentle introduction to interval recognition. Make use if the custom training option, which should keep you busy for a while longer. You'll soon need some more material, but this is the best choice I've found for the first steps

I like it.. Does what is says. Teaches you the distance between notes and then tests you on it. Good sound and easy interface with voice feedback while training you. Lite version only gives you the first few in an octave. The full version seems a little pricey but will still probably get it after I master the lite. 

Fun and Instructive. I've just had the app for a short time period so I can't say whether or not objectively that my ears are getting better but I am getting better at the exercises. And it seems or at least i feel that I'm getting better. What I can say definitively is that I am learning terminology without even thinking about it. I'll write another review after I've spent more time with the program.

excellent app, better than the rest. I've used several of the pitch training apps out there and this one has been, by far, the best. I will definitely be upgrading from Lite to the regular app, it's worth every penny. This app not only teaches you the differences in pitch, it also tests you. It's design is simple, incredibly easy to use and navigate.

Love this while driving!. I love this app! I am on my way to a wedding that's 1 hour away from me and this little thing really came in handy! I'm sure I'll pass my final now!

Ear training. Excellent tool for training!

Perfect for Me: Simple & Well-Structured. I really liked using this app to train myself in identifying intervals. There's not a whole lot of "extra features"-- it's very straightforward, but that's pretty much what makes it a perfect tool. It has a great approach and allows you to learn by repetition. I like testing instead of training after hearing the lesson, and just repeat test after test until the intervals I often confuse are cleared up. I plan on buying the full version, even though you can practice/test all intervals in custom mode. =)

Very Nice App. I am really enjoying using this app and since my scores on the tests keep going up I can tell my ear is getting better. I like the free version so much I'm going to buy the full version even though it's 7.99. That seems like a lot for an app but my lack of a well-trained ear has always held me back in music and this program is definitely helping my ear improve. The ability to create your own custom training and testing allows you to concentrate on intervals where you are especially weak. I wish they'd make the typeface on the info page bigger though. It's hard to read.

Review. This app is great my ear training is improving. I'm really considering purchasing the full app to get a full range of interval practice. I would recommend it.

Works fine, but definitely a limited trial. It needs to use more than just the C chromatic scale, otherwise it won't help anyone transpose in any other keys...hopefully a feature in the full release (I won't buy if it isn't, and neither should anyone else). It would also be nice if the trial at least expanded to the major 3rd; the two semitones stop won't show anyone if the product does what it says. I would buy this full app for $1, no more.

Great ear training app. I've been using this app for couple weeks to train ears. Lots of training / test options, very intuitive and easy - good enough that im considering in-app purchase for paid version w descending tests more tests

Great Program!!. This is what you want in an ear training program. You start out with easy exercises and progressively move up to more and more difficult ones. I'm actually using this app a lot-- AND making progress. I will certainly be buying the full app-- once I master these initial exercises. This one's FREE-- so grab it!

Terrible battery life. Battery life is cut short due to unreasonable background activity. Uninstall ASAP.

I think is an awesome app for really basic ear training.. Every beginning student should have this app whether they are an instrumentalist or vocalist. I would recommend it to anyone.

Interval ear training apps... There is no better!. Choose your intervals, up or down the scale, ascending, descending, and harmonies. Plus any kind of musical voice this app does it all! Plus it allows you to customize to include only some or all intervals. Need interval training? You want need anything else!

Ear training made easy!. Get this now! At least try it. Very proffesionally done ap and helps tremendously with ear training. Vocalist especially need this. Also instrumentalist and anyone trying to improve sight reading or melodia sollfege reading. however, the starting note should be a different note each time to Make this app really help you in real life

Battery Killer !. I would've given 5 stars but this app absolutely destroys battery life on my 6S. It makes no sense either why an ear training app has to use that much battery life just from running background. I only actually use the app 10 mins per day.

So simple it has become my favorite app!. Other developers should learn from this powerful application. iPods are small: they do not need a lot of visual clutter! This app keeps it simple and has custom settings one can set per their needs. I've had it three days and since I'm recovering from surgery I've had nothing better to do but play with this game. I'm getting much better at hearing intervals already. Don't bother with the other "perfect pitch" app as studies have proven that unless you developed pp as a small child the odds are extremely small you'll develop that skill as an adult. For the rest of us there is relative pitch - this app is a great tool.

Awesome. Just what I was after. The free version brought me exactly what I needed for my music course. I can test my ears on a custom test with the intervals I desire and it helped me improve my scores from 40% to 90%! happy! :p

Very Useful for Recognising Intervals. As already stated in a previous review, the modes aren't easy to work out. I'm in custom mode, don't know how to switch back and can't find instructions in the help contents. Lucky I actually prefer custom mode. Apart from that, it's a very useful free app for training your ear to identify intervals.

Great app.. Learnt all the intervals in 24 hours with nearly 100% accuracy & by using songs with known intervals to help identify them. Nicely set out app & lets you play back any errors to master.

Good stuff. Great app, it would be beneficial to implement a system for monitoring results so you know which intervals you are having the most difficulty with and then you can modify training and testing accordingly.

Relative pitch lite. Great app. instruments are quite listenable. As someone else said: better if you could get some stats on areas you are strong and weak for follow up lessons. More options in scales would better, the lite choices are fairly obvious. Am considering buying the full version.

This app. For someone such as myself with no sense of pitch at all, this has been very helpful but it has taken me 6 months of listening on a daily basis to improve noticeably.

Relative pitch. A fun great way to learn your intervals! Students would love it if used at school.

Okay but...,. I've had a few goes of this app and this what I've found, when it is freshly installed it seems pretty easy (after I've done a ton of practise with it), but the more you use it the harder it gets, the range of pitches increases and those high note are hard to tell apart. The notes then are given different timbre and overtones so you don't associate timbre or overtone with a particular interval. This is when the going gets tough. To do it properly you have to go through all the pitches and overtone to grasp a mental idea of what the different intervals sound like harmonically and as single intervals. If you do it for a week and think you've done it, you haven't tried it until you've heard the full range of pitches and timbre. The progress indicator wasn't to flash on the previous version of this app that I had installed. Some days/weeks it really seems like I'm going backwards.

Starts great...then goes downhill.. It's a cool app to start with. Then if you want to run the training again (cos let's face it, you're not going to recall It all after hearing it once) it is impossible to start the training again. Clunky. I wouldn't go for the full paying version after this one. It's just too hard to navigate.

Relative Pitch Lite. I am an older adult, just beginning to teach myself how to play a keyboard. Along with learning theory and practicing fingering I am using this app. It truly is FANTASTIC!!! I tried a few other pitch teaching apps and this one is by far the best..the others, I found, were too advanced for a true beginner. This one is easy to use and takes things step by step. When I feel I have done well enough with it I will, most certainly, purchase the full, paid version of it.

Excellent. I absolutely love this app so far. I've been using it for two days and can already see improvement in discerning from an octave, semi tone, major/minor third and tone! It's very easy and fun to use. I will be recommending it to other and upgrading to full version.

Very easy to use and it is effective.. I am using the light version yet plan on purchasing the full. It deffinitely trains the ear and teaches how notes differents from one another.

Good stuff!. The only 2 reasons for a 4 is that for training I'd like some interval songs to help memorize the intervals and for testing it may be beneficial to be able to identify descending intervals too.

Fantastic. This app is great It teaches you basic ones like minor seconds and major thirds I've ready learned a lot
