Great Game RUINED. I bought this game several years ago and loved it. The graphics were simple, but attractive, and the gameplay was fun. On a whim, I decided to play it again after a very long time. The new graphics are ANNOYING. It’s a basic puzzle game; 3D graphics are unnecessary. The flashing lights and moving backgrounds are incredibly distracting. Also, the dragging around of the character is not at all smooth. You can’t see it under your thumb as you move it, and it seems to easily move further than intended. My memory from before was that you could do a single tap on the spot you want it to move to. Much easier and simpler. Annoying!!!

Kill the music. Please, please, please provide a way to turn the music OFF!!! It’s horrible and distracting.

Locks up. I have always loved this game. Like others I don’t care for the flashing lights but still fun. BUT it sticks. I have done pack 2 level 20 multiple times but it sticks at the end and won’t let me move to the next level. Bummed that I have delete the game I suppose.

Fun puzzles, but old UI was better. Like others, I find the changes to the UI made the puzzles less enjoyable. They are still nice puzzles — it’d be nice to have the old “flat” look come back in a future update — maybe as an option?

Appalling update. Loved this game for its simple clear graphics and the clever strategy levels. Even though no new levels seemed to be forthcoming I still kept the game on my phone, resetting levels to play again. I received a shock when I opened the game to pass the time while waiting for my plane. Jarring, blaring racket deafened me and my fellow passengers. Overdone graphics, horrible sound effects have reduced this once once elegant game to a travesty. There are no settings to switch off sound. And the new graphics are horrible and unnecessary for the game. Wish I had been given an option to upgrade the game. As it is, I immediately deleted this off my phone.

Love the game, hate the glitch. I have been playing this game since it was released, but lately the game stalls as soon as i complete a level. Love the simple design of very complex puzzles, but the game gets stuck everytime i try to play now.

Bad Redesign. This was one of my favorite games, and I played it all the way through a least once a year. Then came iOS 11, which broke the game. Dang it! I was happy to see a new version - until I began to play it. It is so obnoxious! Besides the annoying flashing bright strobe at the exit square, there are loud sounds which continue to play even after I turn off all the sound. And the animation leading into each level is just way too much. Please tone this down so it’s more like the old Boxed In 2 and 3 - and then please update 2 and 3.

Fantastic game!. I loved this wonderfully creative variation and extension of Sokoban! Thank you for the challenging and enjoyable puzzles!

Simple concept, challenging game. The best advice for this incredibly challenging game: learn to plan ahead. I've played all three of the Boxed In games, and each gets better than the last. Challenging levels with simple gameplay? Clearly not impossible to achieve, as this game will have you scratching your head.

Addictive game. Would give it 5 stars if it had sound. Need more levels. Finished all 50 levels in a couple hours.

Please update Boxed In 2 & 3. Please update Boxed In 2 & 3 so they are up to date with the current OS. No need to junk them up with all the unnecessary new graphics like you did with this one, just make 2 & 3 compatible. Thanks.

Quite amazing, challenging puzzle. Cleverly crafted, sokoban like puzzle maze game but different and more complex than sokoban. What’s really exciting is a level editor including mazes designed by others. I’m not sure but creating a suitably difficult maze yet still retain an air of possibility might be more difficult than solving other’s mazes. At least I’m having trouble creating even one maze that can be called challenging or interesting. This is really a superbly designed, addictive puzzle. I often stay up all hours because it is so hard to stop. Fees are reasonable (I believe in supporting well made apps I use): to eliminate ads, buy new levels (or complete current levels for more), unlimited “undo” function and others. One can do a lot for free which is a great gift from the game maker. Thank you!!! Highly recommended 👍🏻

Fun game with poor color contrast. Some of the colored boxes are so faint I can’t see them, or maybe they don’t exist? For example, I don’t see the blue box on level 14, also level 45. Please increase the color, otherwise the game is unplayable.

Unnecessary Fluff. There’s no point making a game “3D” if that third dimension is never used for anything. I loved the original few Boxed In/Iced In games. They were fun and creative and visually clean and simple. This update adds a lot of unnecessary visual elements that don’t help the game at all. It’s difficult to see where the robot is to start and all the animations feel more like they’re done because they can, not because it will help anything. The game is better off going back to a clean 2D design and focusing on new levels and game elements.

Absolutely HORRIBLE after 3D redesign. Had the original Boxed In and Boxed In 2. They were 5 star games functional, clever, ... Why in the world would anyone redesign it into this continuously animated 3D space nonense? I have no idea. Swipe controls don’t function properly or accurately as in the past. Animation is not necessary. Dancing robot is stupid. Music is horrid. Worst game redesign EVER. Developer, if you care about your players, rename this to Boxed In 3D and bring back Boxed In v1 and v2.

Fun for a while but buggy. I enjoyed the game until I got to Pack 1, Level 30. At that point after successfully solving the puzzle the game locks up. Unfortunately i am then stopped from going to the next level, thus permanently killing the game. Since the game has not been updated for more than a year, I expect it is a dead issue.

The best puzzle game on iphone!!!. Hands down, the best game on the iphone! I just replayed all levels after a 2 year hiatus, and enjoyed them just as much as the first time. Hint-click the Level # button to get to the game level you want. To the developer-have seen nothing new from you for some time. Please do more Boxed In or Iced In games!

Challenging but cannot replay. I enjoyed the game -- just challenging enough to hold my interest. However, once one finishes level 50, the "congratulations" screen does not let one return to play. Although many wouldn't be interested in re-playing, I am and it would seem easy to make that possible.

Boxed in 2 #47. I love this game. I go back every few months to solve all over again. The only problem is when I get to boxed in 2 #47 it never lets me go on to #48. I have passed this level 100 times and it won’t progress to the next level. All 3 boxed in games worked flawlessly with the “old” version.

We are impressed!. This version is the first my husband and I have played so we have no clue why anyone is giving this update bad reviews. That being said, the graphics are fun, the levels delightfully challenging, we can play it together, no ads, we feel like we’re exercising our ancient brains, and we just mute the “music.” What’s not to like?! Much better than Candy Crush, those flying birds, Solitaire, etc...all those silly addictive games...

Paid for ads???. I bought this app or at least a version called “Boxed In” but now I’m suffering through ads. Developer website is useless.

Updates Required!. Apple should require these apps to be updated in order to stay on the App Store. This version freezes my phone!

Boxed in. This is a pretty decent puzzle game that is ruined by ads in between each level (20-25 second ads). It would be good if the ads were related to the game you’re playing.

Horrible Ad-Ware. I’ve had this app ever since it was a $0.99 app. In fact, still have BI2 and BI3 on my 32-bit iPad 4. When this one was the only one updated, I didn’t think much about it other than I could now run it on my 64-bit iPhone. The most recent updates have introduced nasty ad-ware that masks itself as some Indian girl trying to call through some Gaga chat app that wants to be installed. Whoa! In coming here to complain, I now see the app is free. Well, I paid for this app. I don’t want ad-ware, especially this kind of crap. If Dennis Mengelt is still the author then it’s sad you’ve bought into this business model. If your company got sold to some job shop that just hijacks games with ad-ware then that’s too bad too. Either way, get rid of this crap now, or the app goes into the trash!

Needs update. Great game, have played it for years but the developers abandoned us, every time I finish a level it crashes and won't update my progress. PLEASE FIX THIS GAME !

Loved the old game, new graphics are horrible. I loved the old game, but the graphics on the new one are horrible. I closed the game because of the horrible flashing beacon. Please fix this mess and go back to the old graphics.

Tsunami solidarity. Wow, so wonderful the developers are showing support for the disasters in Japan! They've made all of their games free "in light of the current devastation caused by the earthquake". This makes me like their games more and gives hope for corporate based future...

Needs update.. This game worked great until latest IOS update. (13.5.1) Crashes after finishing a level and trying to go to the next. Please fix.

Can’t Publish.. Best Sokoban out there!!! I’ve enjoyed your puzzles for years and now I am able to create some too. I was able to publish 2 (SoSavvy is the name) #3 and 4 do go to publish mode but I wait and wait for them to be complete. Please help!

Totally absorbing. Just want to mention that some issues mentioned in earlier reviews have been fixed: It IS possible to replay both finished levels and finished packs. And while the music and sound effects are indeed extremely annoying, you can turn them off. The only annoyance that can’t be eliminated is the very bright exit light that starts flashing once all gears have been destroyed. Often the hardest part of a puzzle remains to be solved at that point and the flash is very distracting. YAlso, while the unlimited undo is well worth the extra dollar it costs, it doesn’t work 100% of the time. What I like best about the new version are the many user-designed puzzles included for free. The quality varies but some are really good.

Great game but hangs terribly. Love the game enough to pay to remove the ads but as I’ve made progress, when the bot hits the exit, the entire game freezes upwards of 15 minutes before I can get to the next level. Sometime I even have to replay the same level as it doesn’t remember I finished it from the freeze. Can you fix this?

Relaxing puzzle game. No in app purchases and no ads. The Puzzle designs make you think it out. I find it relaxing and entertaining. Graphics are nothing special when compared to what is possible on this platform but for this genre my concern is more on gameplay which I think was well done. Good job Mr Mengelt.

Stuck on level 24 of pack 2. The game has been slow to close a level for a few days, but today it will not close this level and is completely locked. The only way to close the game is to abort the app. That has been effective for the last few levels but now it simply opens with the same level complete. Playing on an iPad Air, iPad OS 13.5.1

Keeps your mind sharp!. Just the right balance of solvable and pull-your-hair-out levels. This definitely exercises your brain and keeps you challenged.

Fun Fun Fun. One of the best logic maze games ever! I've never had so much fun pulling my hair out and starting over.

Fun! Hard to see Robot Guy though?!. Wish Robot Guy was yellow or something that stood out more. Love the game otherwise!

Ok. It's ok. Was barely able to pass level 5. Level 6 is almost impassible. I hope that i can pass it. Other wise im deleting this app. They are just to hard.

This is cool. Great concept. But to re-say what a couple others said... Don't rely on walk thru too much, it's fun to get hung up. And the arrow to the next level gets in way of controls, causing disruption in middle of game. Did someone say when all 50 levels completed you can't start over?

Old version was sooo much better. I still have the old version. I still like the game but this new version- the graphics, the noise, the flashing light. I do not like that part of it. The old version was simple and so much fun to play. I’m glad I kept the old version on my iPad.

Fun but it freezes. Installed on my iPad Pro and it’s challenging but it freezes every time I complete a round. Sometimes I need to re-complete the same round many times so it’ll move on to the next. 🤮🤮

A welcome return!. So glad to see the return of my all-time favorite puzzle game on iOS! Puzzles range from easy to deviously hard, but there’s great satisfaction in solving them.

Best game on iOS. I enjoyed this game so much I played all 150 levels several times over the years. Now I enjoy creating the puzzles for others to play. Very challenging and interesting.

Boxed in. Why, my ipad’s screen broke today. No problem it was my mini I have a new ipad pro and an iphone 7s but what i don't have is my most favorite game in the world. I would not update my old ipad so I could keep the things I enjoyed the most. This new or updated version of boxed in freaks my eyes out! I don't even feel like looking at it! I have dyslexia and this shadow type look is so disappointing. So much for favorite. Why not just creat a new game and given it a new name. The cute robot is gone it’s no where near the cool game it used to be. My grandson dosent even like it anymore.

Love this game but new graphics annoying. I played the old versions of Boxed In (1-3) and was sufficiently challenged. I enjoy strategy and Puzzles and this game offers both, so after solving all the rounds, I would revisit the games every 4 to 6 months to see how quickly I could finish 50 rounds. Eventually, the game would not update and I finally decided to purchase the new version. This is still a great puzzle game, but I am truly irritated by the new graphics. The incessant flashing light to signify the door is open is absolutely irritating and I fail to understand why the robot is the same gray color as the boxes. Why not make him stand out with a distinct color? The 3D graphics have taken some adjusting too. I suspect the creator thought the game needed more pizzazz with the graphics, but I do wish he would at least tone down the flashing door and change the color of the robots as it detracts from enjoying the game. Otherwise, if you like puzzles, this is great game to challenge you.

Fascinating, But The Game Freezes!. This puzzle game is so cool! I played the original back when I was a kid, and now my thinking is allowing me to much more easily complete the in-game levels. Unfortunately, after finishing some of the Pack 1 levels, the game begins to freeze for a teeny bit before displaying the dancing robot finish (that is an absolutely hilarious upgrade to the game, by the way). However, the freezing started to happen every time I moved the robot into the goal square. That is a big problem. After finishing Level 25, the game freezes completely and I have to reload it, and it shows that I had not completed Level 25. I tried over ten times, repeatedly completing Level 25, but the game froze completely every time. PLEASE FIX THIS. Until you fix the freezing, I’m gonna have to put the game down for a bit. But other than that, 5 stars!

Not better. Miss the old game. The new graphics look very dated and aren’t an upgrade at all. Pity. I liked this game and want to support the dev.

So addictive - great brain teaser!. Controlling the robot could be a little easier (seems to be a common frustration amongst the players out there) but this is one of the best and most addictive puzzle games that I have played in years. You have to download this - it's an excellent time filler and very satisfying to work your way through the levels.

Pretty good.. Not bad. To all those people stuck on level 44, it is the hardest one to grasp. Assuming that I'm thinking of the right one (the level with all the boxes in a square walled room with only 2 possible entries), if you wanted a couple of clues then 1) come in through the top and 2) move the middle block on the left wall up. That's all I gotta say. Anyway, pretty good app but I do wish there were more levels to fiddle with.

Fantastic!. Challenges player for logical reasoning and thinking. Great for mature adults who are usually patient and will think before arriving to a logical conclusion. Interface is ordinary, controls need some rework and I don't like the fact that I can't undo more than one move - hoping the developers can give us that option of multiple undos without having to start the level again in the next update. The idea is great; the execution on iphone probably needs some attention but hey it's free okay! - 4 out of 5 stars, well done!

Great Game...No Sound. Great game that's missing a soundtrack and/or sound effects. A soundtrack and/or sound effects would greatly enhance this game and bring this up to a high quality level and in this day and age sound effects are the given norm for games of this calibre. We are not living in the "silent movie" era anymore so bring on the sound and this would be a five star game.

Nice game ever. Used couple of hours to finish, not as hard as thought. Hi level 44 isn't tough, clue is start from above through the bottom, push 2 boxes out from top and leave them spaced on top so you can move them in final step, the last bottom box has to be placed somewhere at the bottom temporary to allow you to move up n down. That's all I can say by words. Good luck

Sooo boxed in!. Unreal app, very addictive! Was hooked after completing the first 10 levels... When I wasn't playing it I couldn't stop thinking about it! Can't wait for boxed in 2!

Issues with games 46,47,48 and 49. I really enjoy this game but I have had to replay the above numerous times as it won’t progress to next game despite having completed them. I am now stuck on game 49 having to replay 9 times so far as it won’t move to next. It’s like it freezes - very frustrating!

Great game. Don't listen to those who arn't smart enough to understand the game or get past the first level. Bzza bzza.... whatever. I'm looking at you! Also finishing the game (or at least getting past the first 10 levels) is a good idea before submitting a review based on "it's too easy and gay". XRABAU: I hope your joking? If not, push the top and bottom blocks to the right, then move the middle one up or down. That's all you have to do. If you think that's hard, wait till you get to level 30+. Good luck.

Excellent game - the best FREE (currently) puzzle App! (v1.1). The full version was FREE when I got it (and it still is at the time of this review). It took me 5 days to complete all 50 levels, playing for about an hour each day on average. It is definately addictive, and I would highly recommend the download.

Fun thinking game. Not too hard, not too easy. I'm on level 17 now and have really enjoyed it so far. Only quibble - same as another reviewer - would love for the robot to move smoothly, rather than bit by bit. Love it!

Nice but over quickly. This game looks nice, plays well and is enjoyable but is over too quickly. The levels don't seem to get progressively more difficult. 50 sounds like a lot but it's not really. Could do with more or harder levels.

Love it. My Favourite game. Up to level 20. At first i found controls difficult until I realised that you do not have to swipe on your robot any where on the screen will do. & it is free. Would like to see the ability to save a position (that would give it max stars).

Simply 1 of the BEST games around!!. I've downloaded lots of games from the store but never really felt compelled to write a review for any of them but "Boxed In" is way too awesome so I had to leave one. It's challenging enough that you don't get bored but at the same time it's not too hard that it discourages you. Though a few more hard stages won't hurt =) I play a few games a day so it'll last me longer hehe. Like some others have already mentioned, a lil' music would be nice and also a clock/timer.. Maybe some more stages? **winkwink** Not bad for a free game. Thank you developers!

Best game app by a mile. This is definitely the best game app on the app store. Am up to level 45 and don't want it to end. Please roll out more levels soon as I'm afraid I will suffer a nasty withdrawal.

Finally Updated!. Great to have this title updated, and to have all three versions in one app now as well. Improved graphics are good, but liked the retro feel of the old versions. Nice to be able to unlock the previous versions if already purchased them previous as well. And now build your own levels as well. Great game.

Think outside the square. An awesome, addictive set of puzzles that will have you really thinking to solve them. I reckon every employer should give this to prospective employees to test their patience and thought process. Great little app that you just have to solve. Love this app.

impossible??. i finished the 50 levels in a few hours.. VERY fun gaming!! For those of you struggling on the first level.. try pushing the top and bottom ones in.. then the middle one UP or DOWN to get to the finish... stop rating it one star cause you don't pass the easiest level!

Great puzzles, now a little bit more refined. Yep, if you enjoy a puzzle (or 50) then this one's worth a download. The update has changed the first level to make it so easy it's not really a puzzle any more - so I hope no one else says the app is 'broken' on account of them not being able to figure it out. All the levels can be solved and, running through them all once more since the update it's possible to see how a few minor things have been tweaked and refined a little. A couple of tips for those getting stuck on one of the levels: I never found a forcefield which I didn't need to turn off at least once. If you can't solve one of the levels, put the game aside for a little while. Coming back to it later will often provide the fresh approach needed to think up something new. Definitely one of my favourites

I could spend all day playing this. Very strategic, problem solving game. I like how it opens at the same place where I left off, after me getting frustrated n closing it. Lol. Controls are good. Very simple yet worthy game!!!

Simple concept. I can see how such a game can become quite addictive with endless logic puzzles. However the control system needs improvement to take advantage of what iphone has to offer and the simplistic graphics could do with a makeover.

Excellent app. I take back my last review. Level 44 is solvable. I finished all 50 levels but had to cheat and look up how to solve level 44. I was completely stumped so excellent work for providing such a challenging game. This app is excellent esp since it's completely free. No hard sells at the end. Thanks

Challenging & fun!. This game is fun and the update makes moving the robot so much easier! It starts off easy and gets quite challenging and 50 levels will sure keep me entertained! great for those who like games such as Toki Tori etc. Would like some background music and item music option in future updates =)

Value for money. I loved it and i spend nothing for many hours of fun!!! Highly recomended for people who like strategy games.

Excellent logic-based game. I have just finished all 50 levels of this game and wanted to let you know that I think that you (the developer) have created an excellent game. The graphics are top notch, the game loads quickly, and most of all, you have created an excellent set of logic puzzles. This is the sort of game that is too rare these days - one that makes you think and is fun to play! Please keep these sort of games coming...

One of the best iPhone games so far. This is one of the best games I've played on the iPhone so far, hopefully next update will include more levels. Don't play much anymore. Played it for the first time in a long time. Don't like the new look

Great!. This os a seriously good puzzle game. I highly reccomend it. Level 40 onwards brce fairly challenging and I found completing them very rewarding. I hope others enjoy this game as much as I did.

Awesome. This App is great, keeps you entertained and thinking for hours. I'm currently on level 43. Takes me a few goes to get some of them. I love it, more levels or another game like this would be awesome! WORTH THE DOWNLOAD, ESPECIALLY AS IT'S FREE!!

Better interactivity needed. I like it but I found it so frustrating compared to similar games on the pc because it takes sooo long to get your little dude to move anywhere. Maybe you could make it so you can touch and hold a spot onthe screen and he will automatically move there, or if you do a long slide he will continue to move in that direction till he hits something?

Gr8. Awesome fun and challenging I did every level but a few took a few attempts I have lots of paid games but preferred this one. Only suggestion-would be good to report benchmarks, comparisons and performance times compared to others. Eg-number of attempts and time taken per level and in total for all 50. Only problem now :( I have done all 50 and got no more :(

Great Game - not for Epsilon Semi Morons. Great game, challenging, controls are irritating but prevent accidental mistakes - get over it. As for not completing level 1, my 4 year old did it in minutes... why rate a game poorly, if a) you are a moron, b) you have problems downloading it to your phone c) you are computer illiterate d)can't read the instructions or e) you had a bad day. Good on you for giving us an intellectual challlenge for free

Honestly, the smartest puzzle game I've played.. This game has the best puzzles with the least amount of mechanics. And I have played many, many, many puzzle games. Good job to this guy!

Boxed In. Love this game, very addictive, and definitely pleasant without the background music, so do not add that on any updates please. No problems with controls, and love it that you can go on to another level if stuck on one and go back, also good that you can see which levels you have passed.

Fun. I'm 12 and what is this? But I'm actualy 13 and this is easy for me. Any stupid people older that me that can't get past level one need to go back to school.

Great game however.... I wish u could undo more the just one move, I mean honestly, two wrong moves in succession and ur (u know) prehaps u might change it, not too much maybe like 5 moves

Very nostalgic. I remember playing this game when I was little, I’m glad you brought it back. I feel like the app icon isn’t very appealing to look at so I feel you may need to update the app icon to look less cheap and more better looking. I also don’t like it when I collect all the gears and the exit starts flashing in really bright colours. Some people may feel the enjoyment of the flashing lights but I would like an option in the settings that’ll allow for me to turn the flashing lights off because it’s quite distracting. I love the options where you can make your own level. That’s probably my favourite part of the game. Thanks for making it, hope it improves even more in the future.

Stumped by 44. I completed the first 43 levels quickly and easily, but was stumped by level 44 for a couple of weeks, so I skipped ahead to 45, which I completed in about a minute. I was still stumped by level 44 for a couple of weeks more, so I stopped playing the game for a few months. I hoped that the break would give me a fresh perspective, but it didn't. I have read 3BYRKI's solution for this level, but I wonder if his level 44 looks the same as mine because he mentions a + sign, which is not created if I follow his formula. He also says to unlock the yellow before the blue, which is impossible to do. I have tried different variations of his suggestions and this level still remains insolvable after following his instructions. It is very frustrating as I completed all the other levels within 2-3 minutes each.

Great puzzle game, but too easy & too short. It's a great puzzle game, definitely require brain work for a few levels but most levels are pretty easy. Need at least a few more harder levels for the challenge. If you're like me, you won't find this as challenging as you'd like, hence my 4 instead of 5 star ratings. Control is easy enough but would be nicer if you can actually drag the robot around. One improvement it can make is to compare the number of movement you made against the minimum steps possible to solve the puzzle. That should challenge everyone to match the minimum steps. Enjoyable. Such an addictive game, once I got it I couldn't put it down. My only qualm is it's a little too easy. Levels 1 to 10 got harder but from 10 to 50 they were all pretty similar in terms of difficulty. I found most levels I could do on first attempt (including level 50 the so called hardest level). But like I said it was highly addictive and I loved playing it. Just wish it was harder and had more levels.

Disappointed. I like the idea of the game. Love puzzle games that get your mind thinking, but is there suppose to be sound? Very boring with no background noise. Also how do you go back to the menu once you start playing? Fun game . Love this game. Passed all levels. Since the latest update, I've decided to play it all over again. Although I appreciate the added option to use a directional pad, which is so much better than the default, it's a little annoying because the reset button is right next to the down arrow! There've been several times where I was close to solving the puzzle and then accidently pushed the reset button! Please fix this. The location of the direction pad is good, but could the reset button be relocated to somewhere else? Perhaps somewhere at the top corners? Thanks!

Boxed In, great & free. Many of the complaints are people who have not figured the game out. This will keep you busy and make you think. The slow response some have stated is because of them swiping the finger to move the man around. You can move him by keeping you finger on and going slow. He will follow you from one side to the other in one motion. If you went faster you would move things that you don't want to. By far the best free game I have played.

Fantastic game!!. Great game, wish it was longer (all 50 levels done!). Level 22: move block into red square in top right corner. Come down and remove gear in bottom left corner. Go around to top and move block underneath green glowing square all the way down. Go right and move only block that can still be moved all the way down. Go all the way back around and now push that block all the way to the left! Now there is an access route! Move the blocks against the right wall to the top and now move the block to the right if the green glowing square to where it should be :). Hope this helps.

Great game!. I wish that the undo button would undo the last box I moved, rather than the last step I took. Because I can undo my steps by myself, obviously. :) Also, the undo button looks very similar to the restart button, and sometimes I accidentally press the wrong one. Oh, one more request: can you make it so if you leave the application while in the middle of a level, it will save your spot when you come back? Thanks! I love this game!

Great game!. I love this game. I beat every level by myself, some are considerably difficult, but it can be done! I like the addition of the directional pad, but as I was playing through again using the pad I noticed I would sometimes restart the level since the down arrow is so close to the restart button. Maybe switch the restart button with the go back one move button? I also think being able to go back more than one move would be a great addition. Maybe two or three moves? Overall a great game, I gave it 4 stars, but I'd like ro give it 4.5!

Update Please.. Please update this game for the retina display. Such a great mind game but it shouldn't look like I'm playing it on a Nintendo NES

Definte download. This is one of the most fun and addicting games available, and can't beat the price. The game is tough but not impossible, took probably 3-4 hours of game play to beat all the levels. A good time waster, easy to pick up where you left off anytime. I know some people have had trouble with certain levels, 33 and 44 seem to keep coming up, but they are beatable just have to trial and error your way through. A few additions I would make, the ability to reverse your last move is nice, but it should be the last box you moved, not just the last move. Sometimes you move a box and then start walking away and decide you didn't want to move that box, but if you have moved your guy after moving the box the only reverse you can make is the last move of your guy. Add some more levels, make them somewhat harder but I thought this was plenty tough as is, no need to make them impossible. A controller would be nice as opposed to having to swipe your thumb across the screen, but not imperrative. Overall a great app, very fun, and of course at a great price. If you are thinking of downloading what do you have to lose? If you don't like it jus erase it, nothing lost.

Fun twist of Sokoban.. The first thing I have to say is that it is a good idea to make an app free for a limited time when you want an app to spread. If the customer likes the app, they would recommend it to others. As for the game, it is fun and challenging. It is a box-pushing game like Sokoban, but you have to collect all the gears before escaping to the exit instead of just pushing boxes through slots. While you can skip levels, you need to complete a cluster of 5 levels before going to the next cluster. The only thing keeping me from recommending this game that is usually $2 is that there is no sound. It makes it feel cheap and bland. While I do not mind the trackball like swiping, it's a bit wierd for a game that has and is intended for stiff controls. Add at least sound effects in the next update and I'll definately recommend the paid version to others.

Great game. I really don't understand anybody giving this a low review. I have bought a lot of games and this is more fun and engaging than 95 percent of them plus it's free. I saw a couple of comments saying it's a ripoff of some computer game but honestly there are lots of games in the app store that are eerily similar to each other. That other game isn't available on the app store but this is and I would whole heartedly recommend it. I would even pay for it if it wasn't free!

Pretty Sweet!. The game is obviously well thought out, The puzzles can be done in one way and one way only. Very nice puzzles even though some levels in the middle seem more challenging than the last few for some reason. I think 44 was my favorite. Flaws are in the controls, just tedious. I am sure many have complained also as there will ve an update fir a D-pad. What I would like to also point out is undoing the last move should be the last box move not last step. Many times the bot moves an extra step in a seperate direction because of the swipe controls and you end up having a useless undo when it is really needed and have to restart the whole level. Fixing those and it would be excellent. I also think even $2.99 is not a bad price, free or $0.99 is more than a bargain.

Congratulations to the game developer!. This is an awesome game! I am having a blast playing it. My only criticism would be to improve how the robot moves. When he has to travel long distances I feel like I want to hurry him along so I don't have to sweep across the screen so many times. I do see on your description screen that something is in development for this already so I am looking forward to seeing what improvement you make. I haven't finished all levels yet but I already can't wait for more!

Freakin Awesome. Update: For all the dumbphucks who can't honestly figure out lvl 1 you just need to give up on life. All lvls can be solved just have to try different moves til you figure something out. This game is very good free or not. Still can't wait til the next 50 come out but I don't think they'll be as easy. The controls are fine, what's the big hurry. If they make him move too much faster then you'll go past your one undo. Great game worth DL,ing This game is very challenging. IDK how yall made lvl 1 so difficult, but the rest were easy...lol. I know it takes time to create more levels but can't wait for next 50.

Very Cool Game. Really like the new cursor move buttons in v1.3 to move the robot dude around. Only issue is that the bottom button is too close to the restart button. I've lost count of how many times I inadvertently restarted a game when I was way into it. Update ------- Took me a while, but I completed all 50 levels! I like the thank you to NIN and Tool after finishing :) The problem with the location of the Restart button still needs to resolved somehow, but this game still rocks and I can't wait for new puzzles in a future update.

Awesome!. Puzzles are challenging and addictive. It's hard to put it down. Like many, I'm not a fan of having to swipe to move, but thankfully the devs included an option to use a d-pad instead (find it in the options menu.) and in response to the person who commented on not being able to go back to previous levels, you can! Just press the button that tells you the current level to see the list. The only thing I would really like to see is an option for multiple undos, like 2 or 3 moves instead of just one. Thanks for a great game!

Not bad, not great.. The concept is great - a classic puzzler that's just challenging enough to get your mind going, but not so challenging you want to throw your iPhone out the window. What prevents me from loving the game, however, is the controls. The swipe-driven movement is very frustrating, causing the game to go much slower than necessary. I usually wind up quitting after a few levels because I'm so tired of constantly moving my finger over and over. Also, the graphics could definitely use an overhaul - fixing the GUI and the control scheme would make this game go from being worth downloading for free to being worth a buck or two. There's a lot of potential here - I'd love to see the developers take it to the next level and make it a really great app!

Excellent puzzles. Horrible finger-swipe controls. The puzzle quality more than made up for the terrible controls. I thought "boxed in 2" would have better controls but it is the same. Swipe once to move the little guy 1 step. Want to move a box to the other side of the screen? Swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe! Ugh! sometimes it doesn't register. But I only took off 1 star because the puzzles are excellent and you can play it discreetly anywhere. Also, there is no sound, but no biggie.

I used to love this game. But the graphics are awful now. No way to mute the sound. Flashing, distracting lights.

Great Puzzle Game. This is a great free puzzle game. It does not deserve the negative ratings. 50 levels that can become addictive as you try to solve them. Swipe movements are a little annoying, but a great game. Love the new controls but move them to the top right. Too easy to hit the level reload button when pushing down button. Or maybe ask for confirmation if reoad is hit. I'd be upset if I was far into figuring out a level and hit it by accident. Great though. Can't wait for boxed in 2.

Very fun game!. UPDATE- After the new update this is 100 times better. The directional pad is sweet. Would be neat to have a counter for the amount of moves it takes to complete that level and see if you can complete in the least amonut of moves. Especially since some levels have more than one solution. Finished all the levels. A good challenge but needs more levels. Some were way too easy. But well worth the free download!! Would be helpful if it had an arrow pad instead of always using your finger. Looking fwd to the next one!!!

Fun little game. This is a great time waster. Easy controls, fun and interesting puzzles to solve. What are the gears supposed to represent? Will your little guy not work without them? I know you have to get them to get to the next level, but it seems like it needs something else.. Maybe adding in some kind of timer or number of moves feature, points for each gear, maybe all three. Either way, for free it's really great. If those features were added would gladly pay about .99. Leaderboard and wifi play would be cool too. Otherwise great job on a game I'm sure I will waste hours on. Absolutely 5 stars for easy game play, interesting but not too difficult puzzles and cute graphics.

Really Addicting. I had to keep playing this game to get all 50 levels solved, competing with my wife (yes, she had an iPhone too). We had a lot of fun with the challenging levels. To improve, please make it easier to move the man, make undo to undo the last box moved, not just the last man movement, and you should also display a count of moves (current and best) for each level. It could also be more challenging if you included some 'decoy' box targets that were NOT necessary to complete the levels. Thanks!

Great little puzzle game but.... I love this game its a great time killer i dont know what im going to do when im on the bus when i complete the 50 levels! I love that i can listen to my music while i play and its very exciting to solve a puzzle after youve been stuck for like 2days. The only things i dont like is that moving the little robot gets tiring its more work to move him then to solve the puzzles. Also it would be cool if the game warped you into the exit after the puzzle is solved instead of you dragging your self there. Basically if you love puzzle games you must get this app you will be glued for hours!!

Great game... I can't wait for an update.. It's very addictive, I just wished he moved a little faster. To beat lvl 44 you have to start at the top push it down two spots until it's even with the other two. Next push the very top block to the left one spot. Move some down to let the bottom one out go push it one spot to the left just to get it out of the way. Then put two up top for now then push the one on the bottom over to the blue, then get the one for the yellow. Last push the one from up top to the red and your home free.

Such a genius puzzle game!. Big ups to the creators of 'Boxed In' - this is such a challenging mind exercise I can't get enough. Just playing these puzzles makes me feel like my brain is growing. I like how each puzzle feels unique and that they get more challenging, it's not just a slight duplication from one to the next- they really put lots of thought into this. You really have to do some thinking ahead and strategizing. Many times, other puzzle games get boring and you learns the rules quickly but this game has a high learning curve. Thx guys for making it free to download! The only thing that would make it better is easier control of the robot, it moves too slow for me. Wish it would glide smoothly instead of take steps. But overall outstanding game!! Pls make more puzzles, I would so pay for this app if it wasn't free. :)

Amazing Game. This game is simply great. It has enough challenge yet you can solve it after some tries. That keeps me engaged and keep trying. Good food for the brain. Additionally, the gameplay is so simple and intuitive! Lastly, it's free!! Great game guys. For this type of games, once you solve the level, there is not much repeat value so they need to keep adding levels and some new things such as magic pills that will destroy blocks/walls, time limit bonuses (such as you get more than 1 undo etc).

Tons of fun. If you like puzzle games - get this one. I had a lot of fun solving the different scenarios. Yes, it gets a little tedious having to stroke your robot each and every step, but that actually helps in close areas needing precise placement of boxes. The alternative is using the d-pad, but it gets in the way sometimes Some sound effects would b cool, but I just play my iPod music. Tons of fun, wish they had more levels because the addictive nature of the game means you'll get through it quickly.

Love this game!!!!. Solution for lvl 19 Where you start move to box 2 over DO NOT put it agaisnt the other box. Now collect the gear in middle. Now the box near the red slot don't mess with it. You actually don't need that slot get ur way up to the top the three near exit the lowest push it to the corner with the other two block get the gear then push the block to the right near the red forcefield. The box you haven't mess with move to left to green go down move the 2 block toward the gear and the middle block move up get gear and exit. Lol. Complicated hope I helped you. One of the most frustrating one. Love this game wish had music though

Fairly good. A well done sokoban style puzzle. What's missing: 1. I expected to see much more of easy levels, and have them increase in difficulty much slower. 2. I suggest counting moves and grading result based on that. Now there is no incentive to strive for min. moves. 3. Cheers after each level are annoying, please make them optional. 4. Remove "controls on the upper side" option and make it automatically upper if user chooses "show controls" option. Otherwise it doesn't make sense - I'd accidentally hit 'restart' when I move.

Great! But needs one thing. This challenge is very fun! A great game! However, as said before, it needs to be able to follow your finger instead of continously picking Up your finger. When you create a game, there can be multiple ways to do one thing, in this case there is the touch movement, but only some work well enough for easier gameplay. ALSO, for the people who give poor ratings and complain that they can't get past level 1, stop doing that. It's giving a great game horrible ratings because you can't figure it out. If plenty of other people can, then it doesn't need a bad rating from you because you can't figure it out.

Retina Display!!!. I'm only rating it low to draw attention to the fact that you need to update the app for the retina display! INCLUDING THE ICON!!! Fix the icon and I would give the app a 5!

LVL 44 answer. How do u get past level 44??? Walk as follows starting at top box: . . . . . . . . Go around outside on rt push box left once and it will be under gray wall. Go back in and push original box out top. Back out and push it 2 spaces past green box to edge of wall. Go back in push another out top and get it in green box. Push bottom outside box to blue square. Back in box push far right box down and remaining available box left and out bottom. Go out and put it in yellow. Back up to do red and then all done. Easy for me now but took me days!! Key was that bottom box pushed out and under wall so u can get around easily!! Good luck!!

Time consuming!!!. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Challenging without being impossible to move through the levels. The only level I had a problem with was 44. I thought it was impossible. Fortunately I found help through a google search. I typed in Boxed In Level 44 and there was a video showing how to solve this particular puzzle. There are other levels available to watch, but I only needed help with this one. At times I would like to save a level at a certain place and not have to start over from the beginning every time. But this is a minor complaint. Overall, a very enjoyable game and I'm looking forward to additional levels.

Only one criticism. I love this game, however, so do my kids which is the reason for my review. I wish there was a way to select a level rather than progressing through levels one at a time. I am on level 31 but my sons, who are 7 & 9, are only on level 8. So when they want to play, I have to progress slowly through all previous levels and vice versa when I want to play after them. Seems like there should be a way to have a list of unlocked levels to access whatever level you'd like.

Awesome. I love this kind of game! Very easy to use, however the first eleven levels are ridiculously easy, as are thirteen through fifteen. The most I've had to restart one of them is three times, and only because I accidentally moved a block the wrong way once. Level twelve is tricky-- although I figured out half of it immediately I have yet to get the top half correct without moving blocks that make the rest impossible. I am looking foreward to playing the rest of the levels; thank you!

Great game for those who like puzzles. This is a mentally absorbing game for those who have a fondness for puzzles. It is addictive and a terrific stress reliever. I solved all 50 levels. I gave it 4 stars out of 5 because it lacks the pizzazz factor compared to other games available. The controls are very basic, but does the job. I have two complaints. The reset button is too much in the way, considering that I have to use a lot of stroking movements to move the guy. I accidentally reset the game many times. Also, it would be nice to have more than one undo step, so that I don't have to reset the game once I'm in an impossible position. Thank you.

Great advance of Sokoban. I've always loved Sokoban. This adds a wonderful set of new problems before solving the game. Very clever. There are only 50 levels so the game won't last long. Three days. I hope enough people like it, so more levels come on line. There are hundreds of thousands of sokoban levels. (I do agree with others that the way you move the pieces is very annoying. I hope the author looks at the many sokoban clones for the iPhone and choses one of those means of moving the man. ) The new mouse pad solves this nicely. The web site says more game levels are on the way. If this is sustained it could make this a long term winner. Currently this is a must have for free. When it costs money, wait for 100+ levels first.

Great Logic-Based Game, But Flawed. This fun little game has you shifting crates in order to collect little screws to activate the exit, generally blocked by color-coded doors opened by pushing a crate onto the corrasponding colored square. 50 puzzles in all with increasing difficulty, should challenge intermediate players. Though entertaining, two things make for an average rating. First, it could have stood to be much longer and larger; game took a few hours to complete and the levels are all fairly small in scale, rather than featuring some really big levels. Needs larger scale levels, though considering the next problem, I don't think we'll be seeing any new levels. That problem? A COMPLETE lack of music and sound. This game is silent! I'll make sound effects for you for free, man! This game needs sound effects badly! So put on a CD when you play. This is a bug, lack of music and sound design knowledge, or simple laziness. Unacceptable. There is no options menu, so I am positive the game has no sound. Other than that? Fun and addicting logic puzzler; a solid, albeit silent, entry into the genre. Even footsteps and a Couple of bleeps would raise it's rating. Too bad.

Brilliant App. The way it is right now, I would easily pay $3-5 for this app. If more levels were added this could be a $10 game. I love the idea someone had of making your own levels. That would be awesome. As far as free apps go this could very well be the greatest one I've ever downloaded (top 5 at the very least). Very challenging but in a fun way. My only knock on this game is that the levels don't have much replay value. That's why more levels would be amazing.
