Can't change beginning of the month date. I've tried but haven't figured out how to change the start date for the beginning of the month. We get paid on the 15th and this would be a great program if I could change my month start date.

Wow! Finally a feature complete budget app. Great app! love the syncing across multiple iOS devices, Dropbox backup all the graphs etc. also really appreciate the developers letting users try the full version (w/ 20 entries) to get a feel for how feature rich this app is before purchasing.

Best expense tracker available. I have downloaded most of the free versions of expense tracking applications and this is the best I have found. It is very nice that it allows to enter recurrent income and expenses, it allows to track different accounts (credit, debit, cash, savings, checking, you name it!) and transactions from one to the other. Categories are editable and the info can be downloaded to excel. Reports are graphic and actually useful (this is important, there are some applications whose reports are really useless!). This application, however, doesn't track currencies (hey, sometimes we have to travel to different countries!). I highly recomend trying those "lite" versions before buying anything. There is one expense tracker on the loose whose decimal point doesn't work! Anyway, I'm just about to buy the paid version: this tool allows me to track all my accounts and any transfer from one to another, reports are wisely organized and displayed and so far salary can be set on automatic. In a little while I will know what I do with my money, and I will be able to save! Now, beware, if I end up buying a mac computer, I will try to program a better application! ;-) Try this one. There is only another good aplication, also with an orange logo!

Great tool!. I really like this app. I did a lot of searching and review reading before getting this one. I even downloaded a couple other lite budget apps only to delete them after using this one. It takes some time to set up and configure the way you want it but once you do it's great! It's very well thought out and easy to use. In the future I would like to see an easier or quicker way to add expenses/transactions and a graph option under each budget catagory. I would also love a place to track savings.

Scup Family. We are so happy with this app. The free version even allows my husband and I to sync! Very well thought out. We decided to upgrade to the premium version and only 1 of us had to for both of us to enjoy the additional features. Well thought through. Use the info pages for help. Easy. Awesome.

Not even worth downloading. This app seems great, but is limited to only 10 entries. I'm serious, that's it. That's fine if you're running a lemonade stand, but completely useless if you're really trying to budget yourself. And you're not eight years old. Be an adult and get a budget app made for adults. And before some idiot says 'it's free', let me remind you a free app is meant to entice one to purchase the full product. You wouldn't buy a car if you were only allowed to drive for 10 feet at 10 mph, why is an app any different? $ is $.

Export to Paid Version Not Working. Loved this app so I bought the paid version but when I try to export my data from the this version to the paid it 'errors out' and goes back to the home screen! Has anyone else had this problem? Please, please, please fix this issue ASAP! Would have given app 5 stars if this feature would have worked for me.

It is impossible to change its home currency. I’m using its paid version. Very good app. BUT: I started living in another country and I wanted to change its home currency. Nope! It has no CSV backup and restore, only binary. No income definition ability.

Excellent App. Do not listen to any reviewer who says they don't like this--it is user error. This app is EXCELLENT! the interface is well designed, easy to use, and has all the tools I want in a budget app. I have tried lots of others and I'm not going back. This app is my number one. Great job to the developer. I will absolutely be spending the money on the full version.

Nice app... But.... 3 features that would make this a killer app: - abilty to add custom category - can only view expenses and income month by month. Add feature to be able to view in 3 month, 6 month, 1 year or all transactions. Same with charts, reports, etc. - recurring expenses and income only allows you to add a start date of today or in the future, not a month ago for example. Fix this. I should be able to add a recurring expense starting 5 months ago. Add all the above and I'll buy the pro version of this app in a nano second. Otherwise it's useless to me. I do like the user interface and simplicity of this app. Keep up the good work.

I love this app!!. I have used GoodBudget for a year and got tired of the confusing ”Add money to envelope” process as well as my red budget bar all-year round. Tried several other top-rated budget apps but finally decided to stick to this one. Here is why: 1. It’s AD-free 2. Free Home sync 3. Very neat and aesthetic interface with a white background and colorful icons. You can assign the desired icons to categories, which is a fun way to personalize the app. 4. Easy to track spendings and create reports. You can even create sub-types within a category of expenses. 5. When reporting the amount of a spending, the calculator pops up, sooo convenient. There is one suggestion though. I wish I could open the dropdown list by tapping anywhere on the tab, not necessarily on the arrow mark on the leftside. Still, I find this the best app for someone that simply wants to track their spending and not bother from other unnecessary and confusing functions.

Nice!. This is a simple app that seems to have a lot of the bases covered. Since this is the lite version I wonder how much more goodies are packed into the full version. Seems to be easy to use. I downloaded the manual and have not read it yet.

Functionally feature rich, not intuitive. One of the cornerstones of an iPhone/iPad app is its ease of use - its intuitiveness. This is especially true for a home budget app, where its users need to open the app, enter some data quickly and not bother too much about what to press or how much information to enter. This isn't true for HomeBudget Lite. I evaluated it in the hope that I'd end up buying the full app, but sadly, the app wasn't uset friendly at all, to the point where I found myself getting irritated by it - and I've been a seasoned iPhone user for 4 years. For example, what's with the not allowing users to enter data unless they press the '>' button every time? Simply let them press the edit box and enter data! Feature-wise, I've no complaints, and it has everything that a home budget app could need. I won't purchase it until the creators make it much more user friendly.

Close-ish. I was hopeful, but this app is a little too cumbersome in actual use. It expects you to work in a different way than I would like to work. Payees must be entered before you can use them in a transaction, every expense must have a category AND subcategory, you cannot type in the fields but must select from a list for everything. You cannot change the date for the initial balance that i could see, so it seems it would only be useful from this point forward, not from account opening (I tried it with an account opened a few days ago with only a couple of transactions to get a feel for it and have a clean start, but everything was in the past which is fine for the transactions, but then your initial balance is after all your transactions). If it had more flexibility in use rather than what the developer thinks is how someone should use it, it might be really cool. I only got through trying to input transactions, and didn't even try to use it after that, figuring it's just not worth the frustration of the completely counter-intuitive interface. :(

Lite is very light. Lite app does niet mention that it is limited to some 30 entries. So after having entered your expenses for a few days you can only continue by buying the full version ? Not worth it ?

Try it out!. I am writing this after spending a good deal of time searching for a personal finance app. My searching has come to stop. After spending some time using this trial version, I wanted to write a review because I love it so much. It is simple, and it is proactive which are the two features I wanted. My recommendation? Check out the trial, but be warned: you will want to buy the full version like I will be doing as soon as I submit this review!

Helpful. I'm not sure why everyone's upset about not being able to go past 10 expense entries and 5 income entries because it says it in the description. It is a lite version, so if you're planning to download this, just think of this as a trial version to see if you like it before you spend your money on the full version. Overall, it's helpful, but I give it 4 stars since it doesn't have a clear way to deal with credit card balances and payments, I ended up making up my own category for this. Other than that, I like the way it's set up and the many different views.

Great budget app!. Great app that allows you to set recurring bills and income and money in multiple accounts. I like the calendar view of all bills and if they are paid or not. And i love the notifications, very helpful. Also like that a payment for a bill can be spread in up to 6 payments (great for car insurance) although this isn't clear until you select the bill to make a "payment". Wish list: 1- I wish pay-days could also be marked on the calendar. 2- that bills could be marked as auto-debit. 3- that I could mark a one-time bill as recurring later on, 4- and be able to get a total for bills due within a certain period of time, such as a total for due bill in-between pay periods. Oh, you guys need to add an upgrade to full-version option in the lite version, this way the user entries won't be lost and promotes upgrade to paid version.

Love the App!!. I downloaded a different expense tracker before and it didn't really work the way I wanted it to. This app is great. Does everything I want it to, so far, and it looks great. I wish it had more entries as far as type of expense but it's good that I can enter my own. More icons would be good as well. The free version was limited to so many entries so I bought the full verison. Looks like there was a vastly improving update so I'm right on time. Satisfied as of today.

My daily go to!!. I love this app!! I have been using for about a year now and won't go without it. I haven't had the trouble people are talking about. I did have trouble syncing at first with my iPad. But I just realized that when I sent the initial data transfer that I had to accept it on all devices again. That fixed that problem. :) It hasn't let me down. Just wanted to let the makers know that there are some very pleased customers out here. Thanks for a great product!!

Great!. Best Budgeting app that I’ve ever used! The only thing I wish you could do is go back to previous months from the home screen of the app and not have to go into specific sections to do so.

Very good app for budgeting. I was able to quickly add all my accounts (bank, credit cards, etc) as well as setup my bills (one time and reoccurring). This app works great with alerting me when my bills are due. I set it to alert me a week in advance. However, there's one thing that I'd like for it to have that I didn't see. I have several bills that are setup for automatic billing. It would be great if I could also set these bills an have them deduct automatically when the time comes. If this feature is there and I simply missed it, then this app deserves a 5 star rating. It may not connect to my real accounts like Pageonce, but then I'm perfectly fine with that.

TOP-NOTCH money manager sync with multiple devices. Hands down to the programmers on this one. After several downloads and trials on other apps. My family found EXACTLY what we're looking for. will definitely share with all our family and friends. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!

Disapointed with home budget. I downloaded the light version and it seemed like what I was looking for, so I purchased the full version based on the fact that it said I would not have to re-enter all of the data. Now it seems that there is no way to keep all of the data I had already entered. Very disappointing. I couldn't find anything in the user manual about that either. I feel that I wasted my time and my money.

Can't edit/delete entries. With all the bells & whistles built into this app, you would expect edit and delete functionality for account entries. The description says they have it, but it's very well hidden if it is, in fact, there. I'm glad I tried the Lite version first, because, if you don't catch an entry typo until later, the only remedy (unless you have a backup available) is to delete that account and start over. That one issue makes this, as far as I'm concerned, a useless app.

Awesome App. I love this app, I guess the only thing that would be better is if it was free. Kind of exspencive as far as Apps pricing. Definitly worth the $5.00. With in half our or so I had all my info in ** the only thing that would make this the best App would be a Due date and a reminder that would sync withyour calender **

I Finally found it!!!. I've had an iPhone for four years and have been anxiously waiting for an app like this the whole time. I don't like the apps that just sync with the bank and guess on upcoming expenses I love to be fully aware of what my money is doing at all times. I really love the family sync. Thank you for letting me try it before I buy it. I've tried at least a dozen other financial apps and nothing comes close to this one. Time to go make the greatest $4.99 investment of my life. Too Complicated. Although this app is interesting, it is too complicated. It's design is different from what I prefer, and the format cannot be changed. I like how there aren't any ads, the option to upgrade, and the picture addition. By taking pictures of receipts, this creates another credential to my purchases, which many financial apps don't have. Overall, there are several nice aspects but collectively, its structure is too complicated.

Great budget app!. You CAN add recurring bills. Go to bills, then tap the circular arrow in the bottom left corner to add your recurring bills. Next time, email support before you leave a negative review. This is a great app! My husband and I can both keep tabs on our finances, instead of one of us being the keeper of the budget.

Almost there. I like the idea and I only gave it 3 stars because I would like to see how much money is left to budget as a running total as I'm setting up my budget amounts for the categories. I didn't see it in the free version and I can't tell if something like that is in the full version. Unfortunately, this will keep me from purchasing the full application.

Like it!!!. I have been trying different ones and so far I am sticking to this one! I like the nice interface, the ability to change the order of the categories one has added, the new extra icons, and more! For now, I do have a suggestion though, would like to see in the split the budget section an option for one time payment, no split. Thank you.

Budget overview made simple. This is a very simple to use app and for no charge what have you got to lose? Graphics are clear and I like the option of entering recurring and discretionary spend. Will be a useful tool for tracking the monthly expenses and income without opening up the XL spreadsheet

Could be great, but lacking one essential thing.... I love the simplicity of this program, how intuitive it is, the look & customization, but it is missing one essential element that I am sure a lot of us can use...easy integration with Quicken. A lot of people use Quicken on their home computers for a more robust application and the fact it helps at tax time with Turbo Tax. Lets face it we're all on the go & having your financial application to add expenses on the fly is great. Who wants to spend the extra time to re-enter everything again later? If this could easily export to .qif I would be "The app" to beat & perfect. If you don't use another financial application elsewhere this would be perfect; however, if track expenses elsewhere you might want to think twice. In regards to a previous review.... I've had no problem with making 10/5 entries. The program has been very stable.

Home Budget. Awesome app. Lite version ought to have a link to the full version to install it and tranfer automatically the data you imputed on the lite version so you don't lose your information. Thanks

Bugs needs to be fixed. I have only 8 expenses and 1 income entries .The overall concept is great, but there are some bugs must be fixed: Family Sync is not functioning properly between my PC and my Iphone, delayed and incomplete Sync which makes this feature worthless. When i tried to contact the support team via the app form itself, it failed to send my feedback. So i used my yahoo mail, the reply i got was this "Family Sync works properly only with the paid version". The last issue is am not able attach any scanned receipts or any JPG images.

Great app. It can be very complicated. The initial setup takes a long time if you want to fully use it's features. I messed with it for days trying to link up accounts and have transfer, incomes, bills and expenditures down. This app is for someone who keep track of their daily account and keep an eye on exactly where their money goes. If u want an easy way to track your account try mints.

Opportunities for Improvement - Better Edit Functionality if you mess up!. Pretty user friendly until you mis-enter something and then you can't delete it. For instance, if you enter an expense in Recurring Expenses, you can't delete it even though you may have meant to enter it in one time expenses or if the recurring expense ends. Of course this renders the entire thing inaccurate and therefore useless. I think the only way to delete it is start all over from scratch by deleting the App and reinstalling, but that means you have to re-enter EVERYTHING! There are some definite opportunities here.

Love it. I just downloaded this yesterday and so far this app has been super simple and easy to use I did get the update and I would recommend this for anybody interested in trying to manage their money!

Can’t do much on the free app. You’re only allowed to add 10 expenses, after that you’re asked to buy the app to add more. Don’t waste your time download the spending app

Reliable. This app is reliable. Used this before upgrading to full version and was flawless. If you upgrade to full version, you simply need to backup to email and you can restore once you've upgraded. Haven't lost anything since using both versions.

Great stuff. Love and am using it every day. The transfer of data from free version to the real one is not obvious, but I managed to stumble over it. Now s friend also struggles with transferring his data from Lite to real version and I can't recall how did I do that?

Almost perfect. I would buy this app and use it regularly IF, I could change the budget period. As far as I can tell I can only budget for the month and my wife and I use a budget on a two week cycle. Otherwise the interface is one of the best I've seen. The app is user friendly and you can really customize it (minus budget period).

Lots of promise, fails to deliver. Installed in large family with 6 different devices and many accounts, devices could not stay in sync longer than a couple days, tech support's only answer is to purchase full version and/or force another initial sync. Also: splits actually split the transaction into two separate transactions; scheduled transactions/bills/income on the 31st only happen on months with a 31st; you must manually enter the exchange rate for each multiple currency transaction instead of the app calculating based on the amounts on each side of the transaction. Tech support stopped answering emails once it was clear they could not help and would have to refund licenses ... Luckily Apple will refund without permission from them.

The Real Deal. I reviewed a lot of the expense and budget apps and this is the one I settled on for the Budget portion. While the expense portion isn't as robust as a straight up expense app, it is more than usable. The budget part is perfect in its simplicity and usability. This has a clean logical interface and will certainly get me to pony up for the full version.

Great. The only thing missing is being able to family sync with a desktop or laptop. It would be awesome if the app could be used one a computer!

Love the concept. I downloaded this app because it could sync between my phone & hubby's phone. A HUGE selling factor. I love the layout out of this app. Looks food and easy to use. Wanted to try the free before paying $4.99 for the full app. Glad I did. Once the month changed over my account balance was not brought forward. So I couldn't tell how much money I had. Family Sync worked fine but I did notice they have that's it's free now but they may start to charge monthly for that option. So, I like the look and layout. But it needs work. Glad I tried the free before shelling out the money. Will delete.

Very useful!. I have tested about six similar Apps. in this category. This one is the winner. The PROS: Keep in mind this is the Lite version but I was able to edit and delete default categories and create my own and create sub-categories. It allows user to move categories around so they can be organized in any way the user prefers. My personal preference is to have the categories in alpha sequence. It allows user to track more than one account. Nice pie chart. I will get the full version.. Recommended.

Good but a few flaws. The only finance app I found that allowed syncing between multiple Touches and iPad. Family syncing failed when I used special character for password. No way to change group password so you have to create a new group. Developer responsive to emails about the issue but if its a known issue it should be posted somewhere or better yet fixed to support truly secure passwords. Would be better if you could import from csv or other data types for bank data, otherwise it'll be a lot of manual entries. Ultimately I'm undecided on purchasing full app, the only thing keeping me is the family group.

So far. So far this app is really cool. I like that you split expense categories but, I would really love to see split accounts for ways of paying. Example paid my restaurant bill on credit card but left cash as a tip. Or had a gift card for part of the meal and paid cash. Or at a grocery store, you pay with a snap card and part you pay cash. So you can split the expenses up but not the ways of paying on the same receipt without making a separate entry. Fix that, and this is close to 5 stars.

DOESN'T SYNC ALL ENTRIES WITH iPhone. Very disappointed with this App. After seeking support because of the app only partially synchronising between my iPad and family iPhones, they gave up responding. Their "standard" answer did not work so they suggested that I delete my group, re-create the group and then sent the initial data. This did not fix the problem - moist data synced, some did not. I rate this App as useless if you want to be able to reliably sync between the iPad and iPhone versions. If you use it on the one device OK but do not expect much support if you run into a problem.

Fantastic app. Love this app, I use it every day. I love the layout and clean design. Two things that would make app even better - a goals section where you can save up for a certain goal. Also the option to change the view from monthly to weekly or fortnightly in the main screen. As we get paid weekly, i budget per week not per month in terms of bills. I love that you can switch between calendar and list view when viewing bills. Makes it so easy. I no longer need to use my paper diary to keep track of expenses. Highly recommend this app to anyone! I started with the lite and I have now bought the full version. Also love that it syncs data between devices so I can switch between my phone and iPad. Also can link to my boyfriends phone so we can always see where we are at financially on the go

Terrible buggy cannot trust it. Terrible software. Does not work. Recurring expenses do not get entered half the time or just stop recurring suddenly. Other expenses are sometimes double entered. You cannot trust this software to accurately tell you your expenses. We spent money for the PC, iPhone and ipad versions thinking it would all link up properly. It does not. You have to sometimes reset it all from the main account meaning you lose data on the satellite devices. We basically have to keep a separate track of everything because this software does not work, which defeats the purpose of it. It looks pretty... But it does not work. Don't waste your time or money.

Great tool but free version only allows to enter 10 expenses.. I really enjoyed using it initially. Fantastic tool with many functions. But after 1st week of the month I wasn't able to enter any other expenses, as it only allows 10 expense entries. So became useless for me.

Thieves. Pissweak thieves. Lite version was ok until you get a message that you can have a maximum 20'expenses before you have to upgrade. So it's good for about a weak then a waste of time. No point downloading - look for alternatives.

Tricky App. The app is good but they have a trick to get you’re money and make you give them you’re money and update to the premium version from the light version. They have a cheap trick where you put all of your info in the app during the week and then all of a sudden you can’t use the app after 20 expenses. Pretty tricky. So it’s pretty much ineffective despite it’s good functionality.

Changed without warning. I've been using this app for years. Suddenly I'm no longer able to use it because there's now a paid version. Thanks for the lack of warning and goodbye. With all the glitches I'd rather use a spreadsheet.

Awesome app. I’ve just downloaded the version and in love with it. However is there a way to create a cycle for the onebudget? I would like to create a one budget and be able to create it as a weekly cycle and also being to rollover to the week after of budget not spent.

Good potential, but unusable. There is no support for non-US banks. I was looking forward to using this app but found I couldn’t link my Australian bank account to it. Would definitely come back to use the app if this feature of international bank support was added.

Limits apply. Limited to 20 expense entries and 10 income entries. Was good to work out where my money was going but hit the limit before the week was up.

Best value for money budget App!!!. Fantastic for setting budgets and tracking your expences to make sure your finances stay on track. It does give you weekly budgets but you enter it monthly then it breaks it down into weekly for you. Very easy to use and very adaptable to suit your finances. Only thing it needs is to store places of purchase for re-occuring expences like fuel or groceries etc to save you writing notes each time. Would also be good if you could export your actual budget as well as expences. Other than that it is the best value for money budget App in the App Store. Do your self a favour & buy the full version, it's worth every cent!!! 5 stars from me!

Works BUT. I have tried a few similar apps out there! This seems to be the better one, BUT lite only allow 10 entries - shame. One other thing it appears the developers don't really care what is said in the reviews - otherwise they would have done something about the entry limit!!

Need more development. It’s ok app. The option of Budget for a week or fortnight as well would be better! I prefer to budget for a week!

EXACTLY What I Was After!!!. I have dwnldd sooooo many finance/budgeting/billing apps that I'd nearly given up... Until I took a stab at this one  Wow, everything I was looking for is RIGHT HERE! I didn't want fancy OTT app that took an hour to understand, I wanted clean and simple that combined everything  recommend

Good but need work!. Tried a number of similar apps out there .... This one has the most potential, my key concern with the app is the reporting seems to be weak - the aspect that should be strong if you spend a lot of time inputting transactions and you want something meaningful out of it. Price for full version would be worth it if better reporting. Also I'd recommend more transactions in the free version to allow adequate testing.

Needs some bug fixes. Very good app. But the recurring expenses and tranfers etc don't always work. Has to be done manually. Must be a bug. Please fix ASAP!

great app. I really like this budgeting app. Very easy to use and practical. Shows an overview of my spending and income patterns in clear graphs. Only problem is that CANCEL button doesn't work when I accidentally press TRASH button then click CANCEL because I don't want to delete the data. Could you please fix this up? Thanks, von

Lite should be called Trial. It looks pretty good but I didn't get a chance to test because it only allow a miniscule number of trans. Unless you want go straight to the paid version you won't get a chance to trial with this limited trial app

Complete Waste of time and space. This is not a lite version, it is a waste of time. The limit of 10 expences doesn't allow you to enter enough information to realisitcally see if the app does what you want it to, so I wouldn't even call it a trial version. It you want to know if this app is right for you you will need to buy it.

Best of a big bunch. So many budgeting apps, it has taken forever to find one that does everything I need and is not too convoluted. This one has a very friendly interface, and most importantly the sync function works. Only problem with the trial is that on iPad if you are entering a text field in portrait mode, then tap the amount field the iPad keyboard obscures the popup numerical keyboard and can't be use to enter numbers. As many others have said, is that 10 entries is not enough to allow a real evaluation of all the features. Such a good app needs the ability to allow trial users to explore the features. I have been looking for a good budget app since 2009, and after a test of the trial and confirmation with my wife that she likes it more than the competition, I'm upgrading.

Great. Fantastic for tracking expences. I would really like to see an integration of home equity line of credit account support. I would pay and upgrade for that.

Ok. Should be able to allocate your income in each expense and able to balance it to your bank accounts.

Finally, a great home accounts App. I've used many over the years. This is the best. Sync is reliable, I run on ipad and 2 iphones so my partner and I can both enter transactions and keep a close eye on things together. No issues, higly recommended.

Don't buy this app!. Just made a purchase of the full version so regret the decision, input doesn't work most of the time and lite only stores 20 transactions. Go look for another similar App, this one doesn't work... Just wasted $7😡

Great app. I love this app if I had one suggestion it would be to add a tab where you can see the totals spent in each categories like u can u der the payees tab.

5 Years and still love it!. I’ve been using this app for over 5 years. Love it and has saved me way more than what I paid for it. Easy to use and shows me exactly where my money is going. Maker of the app always ready to listen. Keep up the good work!

Needs tweaking. Needs opportunity for fortnight or weekly budget. Currently minim of monthly. Enter budget, but it doesn't translate into expenses, so you have to enter it all over again! Needs help, but could be good with a few updates. Come on developers, make it a 5 star app!!!!!

Best app. Just say it is the best app of this kind, attributing to beautiful interfaces and comprehensive functions. Anyway , I give a suggestion. As salary is issued fortnightly or monthly, an income is better to be set with a repeating period and a exact start date. In this case, we do not need to set salary income manually every time.

Useless for practical purposes. I was looking for a free application for basic budgeting tools, and this appeared to be the perfect solution. Until I tried to add my tenth expense - still within the first day of use! I am uncertain if anyone could use this free app. If I wanted to pay for an app, perhaps this would be a good one. Otherwise, like I have seen from others, this should be a 'trial', not just 'lite'. Do not try to use the lite version for your budgeting needs.

iClound sync 2 iCal. Brilliant app. Not a single budget app can turn the info into acouple simple recap "events" on iCal. It'd b a great feature. Looking at my calendar anyway, and- "ooh- looks like this month was a good one for savings!" or "oh the phone bill is due soon" thank you for a fine app none the less

Powerful and Intuitive. I like the ability to link expenses with the accounts, specify recurrent expenses, and do budgeting (would not mind more icons though... like Gym? Golf? or Student Loans?). So far, I had no problem deleting expenses. (Also, I do regular transfers from my Checking to Credit Card; why should not this option be present?) In the end, I like it quite a bit.

Canadian?. Am I missing something? The only way I seemed to be able to set this to Canadian dollars kept converting my balances making this useless to me. Sorry but I had to delete it. Looked good in the app store.

Not Very good. The app does not let you input multiple entries for the same category/subcategory. For example it will only let you enter 1 car loan payment expense. But if you have two cars it wont let you add the second car expense. Very disappointing. I cant even combine the car payments in one expense as they occur on seperate dates within the month. Maybe this only occurs in the lite version but I wont take the chance and buy the paid version if I have no way of knowing if the other version is more versatile. From the app description I thought the only difference between the two versions was that the number of income and expense input was limited to 5 and 10 respectively in the lite version.

HomeBudget excellent 100%. Superbe application. Depuis 2 ans que je m'en sert, je ne peu plus m'en passer. Je met mes depenses au fur et à mesure ce qui me permet de suivre mon budget. Je mets même mes compte bancaire et cartes de credits et même les depenses récurrentes automatiquements. Je le recommande à 100%.

Don’t get caught. The lite version gives you the semblance it’s a high performing app with lots of features. But after you upgrade as you must after x number of inputs and transactions, these features don’t work. Automated responses from so called help team are cryptic and not designed to solve actual problems.

It's only a trial version. Please, don't call this a lite version. It's only a trial app, for the user can only enter 10 entries and then they will ask you to switch to full version app which will cost you CAD$6.99. Uninstall it and shame on you!

Seems great app. I dont know if its because of the free version but i cant see the reports with my expenses and income that i input. Very simple to use, theres a help at start screen to explain how it works.

Not enough transactions. Yes, it could show off what it can do in maybe 40 transactions instead of 10. Still, it's a great program to track your expenditures (as long as you have even a very basic understanding of accounting).

Great!. The lite version is great to play around with to get to know what the app is capable of. I'm still playing around with it and so far the only major glitch I can find is that you cannot edit an entry made by another device. To the developers: this fix will make the app that much greater. My husband and I are working at imputing our expenses together to cut the initial setup time in half but we've run into this problem! Please come out with a fix!

Use Excel Instead. Too rigid with little value over a fairly simple Excel spreadsheet, which has full flexibility.

Disappointed. Limited options (like no parking rent or loan in reoccurring payments ) and confusing UX. Gave it a shot and quit!

Sync doesn’t work. The only reason I chose this app was for the ability to sync within my family. But the sync feature does not work! I contacted support twice. The first time there was no response. The second time they said to delete the group and try again, which I had told them in my message I had already tried. No thank you!

Calc. It would be nicer if you can add a calculator.

Poor. Very dissapointed. This is VERY limited. You can only input ten expenses. This is great when you purchase the full version otherwise the lite is a waste of time.

Great to try before buy. I tried this lite version to see how it works and whether I would be able to actually see myself imputing all this information on a regular basis. I found that it's not that time consuming once you've set up your basic accounting info and it's very quick and convenient to add items as they occur. I tried several accounting aps and found this one by far the easiest and most comprehensive. It covers everything I need. Now that I see how useful and easy it is to use I will definately buy the paid version and thankfully I can automatically transfer my info to it from this one. It's a no brainer to set it up but there is a downloadable user guide on the developers website if there is a need for understanding any aspect of it further. I think this is one of the best and most frequently used aps I will ever buy. It's worth the purchase price but having this free version to try it out was helpful. Thank you developers.

Easy to use and feature rich. It's hard to find an app that's both easy to use AND doesn't have skimped down features. This is both - nice GUI and easy to understand.

Don't waste your time.. Only lets you enter 5 expenses so it's totally useless. Who only has 5 monthly expenses?

Awesome. This app works great. Exactly what I was looking for. Downloaded a diif app at first bit this one works way better and is simpler to use.

Needs daily cash flow. I need to know how much money I have on a given day. If I have a bill that comes before my pay day, I need to be aware that I will not have enough money to cover it. This would prevent NSF charges, and make this program useful. I only see monthly cash flow updates, which can make a month look good if there is more income then expenses, even though the income may come after the expenses within the month and cause problems. It looks like a good program, and I will likely buy it if this feature is added. If it is already there, maybe someone could point me too it.

Really good. Used it since more then a year! Very useful. Can't leave without it!! Look's complicated, but try it, it's easy to understand. It's my favorite app so far. Can't miss a paiement and you see if you spend to much money on this or that!!

Looks nice but doesn't work. This app has a good looking interface but only one of the recurring expenses that I inputted actually shows up on the reports. I can't figure out why this is but it makes the program useless for me as I cannot input recurring expenses.

Use it everyday!. •easy to understand •pie charts •easy to add your own categories •helped me stay financially focused important - if u stay committed to entering your spending, and make a budget, this app will visually tell u were your spending too much. Stay committed to your budget and you can clime out of debt. I have, thanks to this little app and a little will power.

Doesn't work. Only lets me save 1 expense entry and won't let me save any income entries. Every time I try to save an entry it gives me the message that 'this version can only save 20 expenses and 10 incomes and that the paid version is unlimited'. I don't even have twenty expenses or ten incomes to enter, I shouldn't need the full version!

Wonderful. As a University student, I have to budget my money. I was never good with numbers but this app made my life so much easier. I downloaded lite and within 3 hours I was downloading the full version.

Just what I wanted. I have budgeted using Excel on my home PC for a number of years and had grown accustomed to tracking my expenses and budget in quite a detailed way. So when I was looking for an app to replace it I was quite hesitant. However so far I am really pleased with this one. I particulalry like the feature to add your banking account balances (Checking, Savings, VISA etc) and then these are updated as you enter expenses, allows you to know your balances without necessarily logging on to your online banking or passing by an ATM also I like being able to add payees so that you can track within expense types where you have spent money. Don't pay attention to the poor reviews here, these are all linked to the lite version which has some serious limitations, the full app is easy to use and does not impose any restrictions on expense entries etc that I have come across at least. It does take a while to learn all the ins and outs of how to operate it but the user guide on the website does a pretty good job of explaining it.

It's helpful!. It's good to keep track of your monthly expenses but you can only add so many expenses in this version and can't delete them afterwards to replace it with another expense.

After 20 transactions you have to pay. I really like this app, used probably for one month. Easy to use and understand. After 20 transactions it asked me to update for promo. I'm not really would like pay, so I removed app and will start to looking for something for free.

Simple and easy to use but limited. This app is great for university students or anyone looking to keep track of expenditures on a casual level. It's easier to use than the other finance apps and offers alot of features, like graphs for trends, etc. But for more professional users the free version might be somewhat limited...

My currency not represented. I would buy this app if it had my home currency, Angolan Kwanza, and if it had a cashflow report with forecast. (recurring incomes - budgets). I need to know how much money I will have in six months time, and adjust budgets acordingly. I will keep this version installed to check the updates.

Reporting needs improvement. I would buy your app if there would be a possibility to see expenses yearly and by custome dates. Monthy expense charts is not sufficient for me to see where my money goes. Otherwise it´s very good app.

Makes it it easy. This is very easy to set up, easier than older accounting sw. We used to keep our budget on a spreadsheet, yet it required massive data entry from the pile of expense chits- gas, fast food, etc we brot home every week, this way u/both of u denter when u spend, much easier. I bot this mostly for the family synch feature as my wife and I share the our Household account, now we can see where we are, when both of us r spending. specially as u get low in funds, it is critical that the other doesn't go out and buy something expensive-oops overdraw. Reports and charts are easy to read and clear. I asked a few questions of support and got answers back quick, mostly related to me not reading the user guide, so try to do that first, it will save u time. I looked back and it is clear the developer is upgrading the app, good for users. Given the real cost of sw is the learning and set up time, this app is very good. Older reviews may be talking about problems fixd in latest sw, I had no problem setting up categories and deleting the exp items I put in as practice. I understand the free app is crippled, why would I expect a detailed accounting app like this to be free, so get the app, play with it to see if it works for u- with your expenses and categories, then spend $5 for the paid app, Take a look at what home accounting sw costs for your mac/pc-big bucks- and difficult to set up and use, $5 is cheap given what it does, clearly pays for itself if it eliminates 1 bank overdraw fee over the next year or so. I upgraded to the paid app for me and my wife, upgrade worked perfectly, now latest data on both iphones. Buyers have to understand the lite version is really only to play with to see if it fits what u are trying to do, so slamming it for have the restrictions isn't really smart. Having the lite gives u the ability to check it out, most other apps dont let you do that.

#1 FREE Expense Tracker/Budget App. Very easy to use. Everything you would want in an expense tracker app right in front of you. I suggest the $ or real version because there's no cap on how many entries u may have. Get it now!

Low quality app. Many things should be improved. Lot's of alerts with long text messages, many actions needed to do manually.

Too confusing from the start.. Took 15 minutes to find the "export transactions" link through BofA. Turns out, it's only offered as a PDF, which this app does not support. Do I have to download additional software to convert my statement to a compatible file? This sync process is far too complicated to be worth it. Try "level" for a nice, simple finance app. All you do is enter your bank log-in info and the app does the rest.

Does what it is supposed to!. This app is great! Does exactly what it is supposed to, and gives a nice snapshot of your bills, expenses, and accounts all in one!

Useless. WARNING: this app is limited to 20 Expense entries and 10 income entries. I've wasted 2 hours entering data, and no way I'm mapping $5 for the full app. I would pay $2 maximum, if they made certain changes: 1. Allow me to upload icons. The current icons for categories are not sufficient (for example, there is no icon for "savings", like a piggie-bank) 2. Allow me to add entries without choosing a subcategory. I don't want to have categorize precisely every small item. This is too tedious. 3. Make the charts more clear and simple.

Support????. I sent several times an email to the support address asking about a feature that does not work. I never received a reply after several weeks of trying....

Do not update this app. I was using free app. Now they made a update . The update says bugs fixed, but it's not bug fix it is to force the users to buy the app for 5$ It's not worth for $5 Better get nice app for $5

Unpredictable. It seemed to work at first but the family sync doesn't work properly, now I can't apply a payment to many bills, it keep thinking I want to edit the bill. Customer support didn't help much, emailed and phones them. Hope it gets better and usable.

Best finance budget app out there!!. I've downloaded several finace apps and this one takes the prize!! It's super easy to use. Syncs across all devices. Love it.

Pretty good, but missing some features. I really like this app! I'm using the free version, which is fine for now, and I'd deffo upgrade to the paid version if they added the ability to add interest expense (such as on a credit card or auto loan) as a percentage. Cheers.

It's does not work. Since I installed the new ISO4 platform on my phone this application does not work. It does not allow me to enter any transactions. I am waiting for a software update and until than it's useless.

Making Life Simple. So far, my husband and I are really enjoying this app! We are able to see what each other are spending, and he is more aware of our account balance these days.

Good app but.... I like the lite version of this app a lot, very user friendly, easy to enter income/expenses but due to the limitations I want the full version. But the full version is way overpriced ($4.99) which pretty much just allows for additional recurring entries. Doesn't seem worth it. Waiting for the price to drop before I buy

Scam Alert!. You are only allowed 20 expense entries and 10 income entries TOTAL before you have to pay to upgrade the app, rendering the program useless. I wasted my time thinking that extra features were what was offered in the paid version, but, be warned, the free version would more rightly be called a "trial" version since after you reach the limits you can no longer make any helpful entries. Waste of time. (Expletive deleted to remain "family friendly")

Not Worth It!!. If you don't plan on spending the $5 for the full-version, don't waste your time. You have a very small limit to recording expenses and bills, so if you're trying to "home budget", don't use this.

Absolute Junk. I download this app with the thought of if I like it I will pay the $4.99 for the full version...you're supposed to be able to enter 10 expenses and 5 deposits which would be great if it would even let me enter 1 of ANYTHING!! When I try it tells me what it's limits are...which is obviously zero!

Poor sync. Used the free and it has 20 input limit. Then I paid and it still did not work. They even make it mandatory to get a Dropbox account and still it does not work, or sync. Wish I would have read the reviews before I wasted money

Great App. Its really useful and effective. Now I can organize all my money stuff. Lot of options to work with. The camera options is the best for me. I dont need to keep a lot o paper or receipts anymore. Loved it. And recommend it.

Reconcile feature is terrible. This app was one of my favorites now it is useless to me. The reconcile feature is screwing up all my accounts. I wish they would have never added this. I want my money back, this turned into the worst app I have ever bought! Please give me my money back!!

Not Ready For Prime Time. Utterly useless without the ability to input recurring items and frequency (i.e. quarterly, monthly, etc). Am I expected every month to re-input all my bills? Who has the time for this and it would be so easy to incorporate it into the app.

Terrible app. Don't waste your time! I put all my info in initially only to never be able to get back into it. I have tried reset password and the app just hangs. It says an email is being sent, no email ever received. Cheap, don't waste your time.

Family sync. Does not work. Was gonna buy it just for that. Fix it and I will reconsider.

Useful App. I love the family sync option. It was what was lacking with the other apps.

Not quite there yet. I think the broadness of the features contained in this app is great, makes it versatile, however there are some few oversights. The currency list is not as comprehensive as I'd have loved it to be or you might want to make provision for people to include currencies that are not listed such as the Zimbabwe and Zambian currencies.

Great potential. App has a lot of potential, however it is VERY hard to use! Can't track when I pay bills and its hard to navigate the screens. I would not recommend this app for tracking bills.

Not a real budgeting app. This app shows a section for budgeting, but it is really the categories section that keeps a running tally of all expenses within said category. If you have a "budget" for shopping, there is no way to set a limit to track on a monthly basis.
