Needs more interaction. It would be a lot better if you click on the holiday and get directed to a description of it on Google or something. I also think the background is a little bit busy and makes it a little bit difficult to read the holidays. I can still read it of course but it would be nicer if they had a clean background. Just my opinion.

Some holidays are missing. DoesIt’s limited on what national holiday it is. It doesn’t include every holiday and there is no option to complain to.

Like it!. I like this app a lot! Hallmark use to have one but stopped updating it so this is a very good substitute. I do agree with some of the comments about more interaction as far as looking up the meaning about some of the holidays. It is fun to see what today might be celebrating!

Fun!. I look at this app every day. The background colors could be muted a little to make the text easier to read and it would be nice to see the days in calendar format rather than a list. Minor complaints considering how much I enjoy the app overall.

Fabulous. My husband, kids and I check the app every day without ever looking ahead a day and always wish people a happy whatever day it is! This is such a fun app yet so simple!

Support?. I *just* bought this app today (February 15, 2016) and this app incorrectly displays Presidents Day as February 16, 2016... day after actual Presidents Day. No way to contact creators of app (that I can find) to let them know. Also, when tried to export Feb. 20 events to sync to my calendar, it synced to the wrong day. Fun idea, overall... but design could use some work (cleaner look would be nice).

Great!. Great app, however in the past it has been mainly food holidays when there are others out there. The most recent update has been brilliant, showing multiple bizarre holidays for one day (because there actually are). Awesome, can't wait to see what tomorrow will be! Hah

Good but…. 1. The year is 2022 so you might want to update your app icon 2. Days are not in correct order (ex. Labor is apparently sep.6 when this year it’s sep.5) It is a really good app but idk what days are truly accurate

Fun, good for daily laughs. Love knowing what today is! When the boss is being a crab, my coworkers and I just use the holiday as a take-off for the daily jokes. We brought a cake to work for "Waiting for the Barbarians" day...Would like to be able to scroll to a month though, rather than have to scroll through all the days. When someone asks what day is it on their birthday in November, it takes a minute to get there. Maybe next revision?

Bizarre Fun!. I love knowing random information and facts. This app is great! It's so fun! I had no idea the different random holidays that there are. If you like random info and like to sound like your full of random (bizarre) info this is great and I recommend it!

Decent app. I think this app would be better if it gave descriptions of the days or at least let you click to perform a google search. Also the interface could be better (like by letting you view by month/week/day, etc). Other than that it's a cool app - has at least 1 holiday per day, usually more. If those changes I mentioned are made its 5 stars!

Fun. I love looking at this on days when I'm a little down. They're always funny.

Fun app. I got more from this than I expected. Things like hootie hoo day and talk like a pirate day make great conversation starters and fun days. It's more than just the typical holidays which makes it interesting. Highly recommend it.

National holidays give me cheer.. I only wish I could see it as my screen saver and I would see it automatically when I turn on my device.

Eh - it's alright.... Leaves out some common holidays celebrated in other "normal circles"!

2017 Holidays. This is a fun app! Always enjoy finding out which unusual holiday in is.

Fun but not accurate. Fun to have, but half the time the bizarre holidays people actually joke about aren't accurate. Example: Hotdog day.

Holidays. Well, it's just like the previous reviews. You have to start in January in the main calendar screen. An update would be helpful if there were a list of months and then that month's holidays. The backgrounds are singular, with only one. This should be updated. Also, if the actual recognized holidays were listed in this app it would be more successful, so it doesn't just seem like a little kid's app. Okay, but two and a half stars from me.

Easter?. What about Easter being listed?

Super Fun. I love the fun calendar. Wish the background pictures were lighter so the wording can stand out more.

Pretty good!. I wish it also gave a description of each holiday.

I like it a lot.. Good app but some days are almost devoid of entries and some days the colors look washed out.

2022?. I love this app, but unfortunately we are now in 2022 & it has not been updated. Will there be an update for 2022, and if so, is there a drop date goal for the app store? Thanks!

Do not purchase. The free ones give you more accuracy and more holidays than this app.

Great for what it does. This app gives one something to think about every day.

No easy way to provide feedback in app. I have seen many holidays have the wrong date for example today is listed as National Personal Chef day. I was about to send to a friend who is in-fact a personal chef, but decided to check other internet sources. It appears this holiday is on July 16th not February 26. Wish there was a way to add feedback easily for fact checkers

👍 Great app [please make widget font large again!]. The widget is a great way to see something different every day. Unfortunately the last update often compresses the font to sizes unreadable without a magnifying glass! 🔍 [August 18, 2017 UPDATE: My original review was January 14. so my first observed the widget text became smaller around the beginning of this year. I'm using an iPhone 6S and have been keeping the OS current by installing every iOS update. Perhaps the widget text shrank because of an iOS update?]

Awesome!!!. I love this app & use it everyday. I would love to see it in calendar form or be able to go day by day without scrolling from January through whatever month it is. When I look at today I would love to be able to flip to tomorrow!!!

Entertaining . This is a neat app idea.. My mom and I have fun checking to see what holiday each day is each morning.. But I have major beef with this app now... Just like every other day, I opened it up this morning to see what holiday today is... Apparently today is "Amelia Earnhart day" ummm... Come on now... Really? Who is that?? I believe the name they were aiming for is Amelia EARHART! Come on, proof read your stuff people.. I paid $0.99 for this app, and I expect the grammar and spellings of words to reflect upon the fact that I actually paid for the app. I'm seriously hot over this... Whoever published this app should be embarrassed as hell about this. It makes the creator of this app look just plain stupid and ignorant. Come on now... Wise up.

Good but...... I feel like it leaves out a lot of days, just focus on adding more of the days to this app pls, I just feel like I’m missing out on a lot of weird holidays with this. So just please focus on adding more holidays in, if you did that I would give five stars if you add more.

Super Fun App! 🎉😃🎉. I’ve had this app for years, & it Never gets old! It will most assuredly be here beyond time, lol! For ages, I’d send these daily holidays to my three children, while they were in school, to help keep them smiling, & for them to share your app with others. Many children are unhappy during school. We don’t know what they’re going through at home…or even if they have a home! Sometimes, even just a small gesture can make a difference in someone’s life. Dev, you helped make that possible for a lot of people. Maybe, cut down on several planning a life of crime? Because a few well placed smiles turned them just the Right Way! GO, MATTHEW!! 😉❤️

Celebrate every day!. This is lots of fun! Use it to prompt random celebration with friends, at work, and with the kids. Would love to have a little info on each holiday and ability to submit holidays to developer from the app.

On Holiday. I love the app but wish it integrated automatically with my calendar

Fun app with a few improvements. I’d love to be able to add the individual holidays to my calendar. I’d also like to click on the holiday to get more information. And finally, I’d like to be able to share just a particular holiday, not the whole page. But it’s great fun and I check this app every morning.

Fun app! Great tool for random celebrating.. This app is great for those days when you really need a reason to celebrate something regardless of how crazy it is or when you just want a random reason to make someone smile. Happy Blame Someone Else Day!

Fun & Informative!. Love this app, it has the traditional holidays along with the odd and weird ones. The only thing I would really like to have added to this app is the ability to lookup specific days.

Important facts are missing?. March 30th is my birthday, and National Pencil Day, but that’s not listed. It says other amazing and contradicting things... I’m beginning to think these are just made up. Is that the case?

Practically perfect. I enjoy the humor of the app. Don't expect to see EVERY holiday listed. You may know something exists on a certain day, but it won't be there. A few holidays show up on different days. It would also be cool to have interactive links to find out what the holiday was about, for example, Veep Day, and a search function to see if a certain holiday was listed. However, like I said, for a buck, I've been having fun sharing the holidays with friends.

An excellent calendar. The unique presentation of the special “day” is very useful.

2020?. Is there a 2020 version? On the app National Hot Dog day shows up as July 17, when google search says its July 22nd.

It’s not 2021!! Update the icon, it’s 2022. Fun knowing what each day has been deemed. Like that has the widget feature. Don’t like the fact that the text is so Small and White. Very hard to read 👓

Potential. As others have said, would be good if we didn't have to scroll though every day to get to a particular day. Also would be cool if there was some history to the names. For those saying these are "made up", a quick hop on google will show you otherwise.

Notifications would be awesome!. Great app. Provides exactly what it said it would. An option to have push notifications at a certain time of day would be fantastic. I would use it at work and show everybody what bizarre holiday it was!

Bizarre holiday app. Its a great app, and super fun to look up when I'm bored with my friends, but I found some things I disliked as well. I found that I would hear of other weird holidays and they wouldnt be one there, or on a different day. For example chip and dip day. Also, it might be cool if you put all the real holidays on there too, just to keep everyone on track :) good job though guys!

Bizarre. Love have something specific to celebrate each day !! You should only have one or two on each day though, less confusing. 

Bull. The holidays are randomly written when the real ones not listed are more interesting! If you want to look at the list you have to start with Jan 1. You can't select a starting point.

Bizarre Holidays. This is a fun app. I enjoy sharing the off the wall holidays with others.

It's a good app. It's a pretty funny app, good conversation starter with the weird holidays it tells us about. But it'd be much better if it had notifications everyday so we could remember what day it is. Just a thought!

Fun. The calendar is enjoyable to view daily. Some of the holidays are a little odd, but my 9-yr old daughter and I still have fun with it.

Cracks me up. It would get 5 stars if it had a little history and origins of how these came to be but I love history with everything so could be just me...otherwise this is a fun app I use everyday!! 👍👍

Fun fluff. Fun to look at ... Well, not visually, because of the ugly wallpaper... But the "holidays" are fun. Links would make it a "real app" ... Even just an automatically generated Google search would be great...hey developer, there is an idea! Hope you can do it!

Awesome!!!!. I love this app! I wondered where I could find all the weird holidays and food days and then we found this! Lots of fun at work where everyone gets into it.

Fun and easy to use. I use this to put funny holidays on the giant whiteboard calendar in the break room at work. My employees get a kick out of seeing what funny holidays are coming up each month. Totally worth the price.

Random. This app is so awesome. There are some holidays out there I had no clue .

Can no longer post to Facebook?. I love this app and enjoyed sharing the holidays on Facebook. This week I've noticed that when in try to post, the holidays section is now Blank?

Great. Backgrounds make text hard to read. Otherwise it's great.

I want a refund... Or an update. I bought this app because the fun facts one was pretty cool, but this app was a sad dissapointment, please explain the holidays, where they originated, and evidence. We payed good money for an app that should be free, the least you could do is update this app

Fun App. It is fun checking each day to see what is celebrated. Kind of like a brief thought of the day. Entertaining.

Miss the bigger text. This is my third year using this app. A little levity everyday is a good thing. Unfortunately, the smaller text in the most recent update gets lost in the graphics. Please revert to larger text. : )

Odd but fun. This truly is an unusual app. It allows you to remember special days in your life, ranging from any kind of topic. From a holiday like Valentine's Day, to something random, like "root canal day" it's all in the calendar. If you've got the space for it, get it.

Trouble post FB. I love the app, but since Facebook updated their app I can't post the holidays from this app to FB. I get a blank Facebook screen when I look to post the holidays.

Makes me laugh. I like the revision for 2012 since we get more than one holiday per day. The backgrounds sometimes make it hard to read. I wound prefer a muted solid color.

Rip off. You can google what holiday is today and checkiday lists all of them. You pay 99 cents for the app and it only tells you three? I am so disappointed in that. Completely a rip off.

Missing graphics.. Fun app. with fun information, but does not run as shown. Every day (inculding Jan. 19 Popcorn Day) has the same picture of a festive coctail. Hopefully you will be able to add graphics to match the days.

Fun but needs an explination. This app is great but I'd like a definition on some of the holidays. Overall a little overpriced for the basicness of this app still fun for a good start to a day.
