Field. All of the courses in Great Falls start at the same place in the field. Then it goes to what looks like the first hole. It indicates it is about 1700 yards. I don’t know about you but I am never going to play a course that’s 14,000 yards.

Poor button design. Using this app to gauge yardage at my local driving range. The range has flags at various yardages and the GPS gives the distance you are from the flag. Each flag is a hole on the app. The problem I am having is the buttons are too small to move between flags. I have an iPhone 12 mini. I can use the back arrow to go back on previous flags, but it is almost impossible to press the forward button to cycle through holes(flags). Update: the app no longer works. Nothing loads on my iPhone 15. The screen spins like it is looking for local courses and doesn’t load anything. Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it is working well! I am not experiencing any of the issues above.

Not good. Previous version I paid for was bad , this version is much worst. So buggy, ie can’t move to next hole with gps only mode. Work around is to use score mode. Anther issue is Default putts should be 2, with out having to specify ever hole, not 1 or zero putts as it is now.

Disappointed. When you changed the app you destroyed a very good, easy to use app that gave very clear distances. I do not care for the split distances it now shows and I cannot move the center circle to find distances to anything

FreeCaddie Pro. I have been using this app. for at least 10 years. I have played many different courses all over US .. I have to give it a 5 star all the way. Learn to use the free app. before writing a bad review. Thank You, Hitm Straight.

Not usable!. App doesn’t work! Had the pro version for years! Now cannot even log in. Says no account! Useless and no support from developer! A total piece of crap!

What happened to the voice ?. Used this for years. Opened it up the other day and the voice is gone. What happened to it. The voice was made your app stand out from the others. Now it’s common.

Pinpoint accuracy. I love this app. Only wish it had Apple Watch support. I use it every round. People will shoot the distance with a range finder, this app is always spot on with those. Five stars no question

Internal server error 500. I’m using IPhone x and downloaded this app and keep getting this internal server error Tried everything to fix with no luck. My cousin and I were golfing today and his was working but not mine

Perfection. This is the best Golf GPS app! Don’t listen to the haters. I have the pro version and love the views, ability to zoom in on targets, keep score for the entire group, etc. If you stick with the free version you can still get front middle back, hazards, scoring, etc. I like how simple it is compared to all the others, and I’ve tried many. GolfLogix is an old expensive pig of a program. Grint and 18 birdies are great but considerably more expensive and obsessed with being like InstaFaceTweetChat. I don’t need or want my golf gps to be a social networking platform. Just give me accurate distances and everything else is a bonus. Bottom line. If you’re 16 and want to post pictures of your swing and get comments from others on every shot then go somewhere else; when you grow up, you’ll use this.

Hello. Can’t change language

Don't like changes. Don't like changes from last year

Screen and score card. My screen brightness slowly diminishes during 18 holes. Also the score card stops recording at hole 16 or 17. I have to shut done app and restart to finish course. How do I fix this problem? Thanks

Error message when adding a golfer. I keep getting the error message below when I try to add a golfer Request Fail: Internal server error (500)

Awful!!!!!. Once again a kid on a Schwinn Bike out of college who has zero idea of how to play golf decided he could make the app better. EPIC FAILURE!!!!! Used this for years and paid for the premium and it was well with it…then. Now…completely unusable!! Well done. Never change a good thing…it never works.

Golf Gals. I liked this app better before the updated version. It is so slow to respond to the touch screen selections now, so requires multiple taps. And the settings I saved such as displaying temp in Fahrenheit and distance in yards has never actually saved despite trying many times. I must go in manually each time to change distance from meters to yards. I wouldn’t consider this an upgrade.

Not Happy Unless I’m Missing Something. First, the GPS numbers are all over the place! One minute I’m 257 yards and then I’m 14,000 yards! Also miss the voice yardage from the old plan. Looking for a new app.

Ruined. Loved this app for years; it was simple and accurate. Then the upgrade came. Now it’s garbage.

Doesn’t work. Won’t load courses , been coming up with an error for 3 months now!!!!

Unusable after “upgrade”. Can’t log in. Get invalid parameter message. Received message from customer support that new owner is rebuilding from ground up. Course creator won’t be available. We don’t need another GolfLogix clone. Please make legacy app available. Listen to your user base. Thank you.

No longer use since updated. Will try this version once more, but not expecting to find it useful

Update list some features. Lost the shot distance function in the new update.

No longer a good app. The old one was way better, this update ruined a great app

What happened?. I have used and loved this app for years. Yesterday I installed the “upgrade”. What the heck? Now I need a login I’d? No more distance to hazards and doglegs? It does have satellite views. Why? Suddenly the yardage goes off by 175 yard halfway up the fairway? This app has gone from great to useless.

Don’t update!. I updated now they have lost my login info and account. I don’t want to pay again.

Not the same app that was promoted and that I purchased.. When I first downloaded this app it was great. I even purchased the upgrade. The GPS was accurate and I actually enjoyed the audio feature most of all. The newest version is not the app I Purchased. It is now basically useless to me. The graphics you show in the App Store is no longer the graphics or interface that is the actual working app. You basically took a big swing and struck out.

Go back to the old version!. Old version is much better

Anybody Home?. App has been great for 5+ years, but think they have not kept up with IOS updates (version is two years old). Can no longer find/download courses. Emailed support with no reply. Sad.

Aweful app. Don’t waste your money. I’ve paid for the pro version again. After years of using it. The update wiped it out. And now it won’t even let me log in. Waste of money. And impossible to get a refund. Super angry

New Version 👎. I’ve given this new version a year and recently uninstalled this app. The saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Unfortunately they tried to fix something that was not broken and it hasn’t worked out.

Free caddie. I don’t like the changes, most golfers just want know the distance of the next shot. The new set up is terrible and the settings keep changing no matter how I set them. Keep it simple. Like the old app settings better. I’m thinking about looking for a new golf app.

Inaccurate. I downloaded “Free Caddie” a couple of years ago. Just recently I upgraded to the pro version (which I paid for). One of the courses in Phoenix that I play regularly is incorrectly measured by close to 14,000 yards. I have written to the company on two separate occasions in the past month, requesting they look into this problem. Like most companies these days, there is zero communication. Their only response was to direct me to a location to unsubscribe. Very disappointed in this company.

What happened?. I loved this app I paid for the pro version and I’ve used it for a few years it’s been great. The new upgrade is horrible and impossible to use inaccurate total piece of junk. What were they thinking?

Don’t Bother. This app was awesome 2 yrs ago. Now I can’t even get it to pull up any courses to download. Just keeps giving me an “internal server” error. Not impressed.

Constant internal error message. Whats with this app are you guys closed on Saturday?

Error. Lake Murray, Oklahoma golf course redid their course and this app still has the old layout. Please fix this.

Free caddie. It used to tell u the distances as well as display. I upgraded my phone and the app now harps no audible. Why?

Not the same. I liked the old version but when had to install on my new phone I do not like it.

New upgrade. Was nice to see FreeCaddie upgrade…. Has always been a nice easy and very accurate …but with new upgrade it has become useless yardages are WAY OFF by 50 to 100 yards 😕…. Time to look for a different APP option

BATTERY HOG. BEWARE!!!. App works great on the course. However it requests access to location services "always" without the selection to use when not using the app. Severe battery drain when not using the app. What the heck are the developers tracking in the background?

Upgrade ruined this app!. I’ve been using and loving this app for years, even paid for the upgraded version. Now they’ve ruined it! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Why would you take a great thing and turn it to $h^t? Now I want my money back 😡

New version is terrible. I would love to know why you guys decided to completely change this app. I’ve used this for years and it worked so well. It now logs you out half way through a round. The GPS is terrible. I wish you had just left it alone. Time to find a new GPS app

Unfinished app. Useful app, great considering its free. Plenty of courses listed except it only shows the distance in yards. The Nokia and Blackberry version are able to convert to metres, should be a simple add-on to this version

Add courses to Apple Watch.. App is downloaded on Apple Watch but not able to view courses other than a limited number showing.

Only half works with iPhones. This ap does not display hole numbers after the 9 th hole if your using an iPhone. I contacted support and they said they are bringing out an update which will fix if big I wouldn't have bought it if if know about the bug!! There is no mention about this bug On their faq page or when you download . Wait until the bug us fixed before you buy this ap.

Yards to Meters. Not bad. Accuracy could be better. Need conversion to Meters for the rest of us living outside the USA.

changes. this app was good but it now won't find satelites so it doesn't work. whatever they changed now doesn't work . now time to look at a different option if this keeps up

Canadian courses. App can't locate Canadian courses in Ontario. They should be made available without having to request every single course as other top range finder apps do.

Unable to download courses. Keep getting error 500 when searching for courses. Customer support never replied.

Great app. Great app, easier than most on the battery life, although I had to plug in my b-up battery xtender on the 12th hole. My phone is only 2 months old but I did not turn off the Bluetooth or 3G as they sugguest. I am going to part with the 20 bucks for the pro version and LIFETIME updates:) Takes only about 10seconds to d-load a course to your phone. save it then have a great round :):)

Crashes Pebbleb. For some reason the Golf app keeps popping up on my Pebble even though I kill this app. After today's PebbleOS update my watch keeps crashing to recovery mode. After 3 reloads of the OS & crashes I deleted the FreeCaddie app from my phone and now my watch is fine. Coincidence? I think not!

Lost in 4. App worked great until 5th hole...yardage information would not load. Support section not helpful. Rating not accurate as I would like it if it worked for 18 holes!

Very accurate and easy to use. Yardage is very accurate and has a great display so you can easily see yardages when using your phone in the golf cart. I use this app in conjunction with my rangefinder and the two work great together. I have compared to yardages to the GPS systems used by the golf carts as well as my laser rangefinder and it is very accurate. The app also will measure your drive distances if you use the measuring option. I purchased the optional upgrade which is very good as it shows a graphical display all of the courses. This is a fantastic every golfer should have as a reference. A playing partner showed me this app while we're playing and I'm glad he did. It is a fantastic app perfect for every golfer.

golfer. So frustrated with my paid (upgraded) version of "FreeCaddie" today. Besieged by 14 robocalls while the GPS was on for the app. That's just wrong during a round of golf. Suggest you look @ other apps

Great!. This is the best app of its kind. I added 2 of my favorite courses on their website and downloaded them to my iPhone in minutes. This is great!

Great golf app. Ive tried all the so called free golf gps apps out there and this is the best free golf gps. Other apps I've tried are ok because aerial photos but you have to estimate yardage. I've used this app and it's accurate compared to the yardage posted on the markers on the courses ive played. It's a free app, so keep on mind you only get yardage not all the bells and whistles of paid apps or golf gps devices.

Perfect for Pebble. Not many features compared to some apps, but what's there works perfectly for me. Accurate yardage, constant updates on Pebble, and low power usage. Phone stayed off in my pocket and had 82% left after round. Would like an auto hole advance, but simple enough to change holes with a button press on watch.

Another POS. Worked we'll 1rst hole then it stopped working on the pebble and I phone on the second hole. Tried to rest it and no luck. For the pebble guys this app does not work with your watch.

My favorite.. This is my favorite golf distance app. Has exactly what you need and no more/no less. Lets you focus on golf and not your iPhone

Doesn't work. This is one of the featured Pebble watch apps, but luckily I didn't buy a Pebble watch to use this app because this app doesn't work. It displays well on the Pebble, but the distances are way off. It started off 100 yards long for 3 holes, and I could subtract, but then I started getting 551 yard par 3's and gave up.

Not that great. Looks are good. I played one of the courses today and the yardages were not even close. 15 yards off at least. On one hole I stood in the center of the green and it said I was 21 yards over the back. Get what you pay for I guess.

Freecaddie. I dled the free version--wow!! I am soo glad I didn't by a bushthing or spycaddy! This app rocks-- I marked my own course, editted it, and used the free ver yday. Accuracy will be as good as your course inputs--it was very close to the marked yds to mid green pins on the tees and spriklers!! I am seriously considering the pro version! Recommend highly

Kirby. I had a problem with a course in Arizona that would not download. I sent in an email in the evening to the support center of this app asking for help. Received a response before I was awake the next morning. Course now downloaded and working! Awesome job at free caddie tech support! Great app! Accurate! Easy to use! Thank you!

Look out SkyCaddie!. If your a golfer this is the best free app by far! with this gps app you can play ANY golf course you want. If the course is not in there database you can go to there website and map out 18 holes in about a half hour and it's instantly playable!!! Sweet. Depending on who mapped the course this program can be dead on! I just map the courses myself to make sure it's done correctly.

Not even close. I tried this app with an eye toward buying the full version. My home course was listed but the distances were off by as much as 100 yd. and accuracy at 19 yards? Can do better on my own.

Tormenting. Par 4 hole scored as a par 3. Hole numbers missing. No way to contact support. Bought pro pack and it does not work. Multiple courses. Potentially a real good app.

Have loved this app, but. Have used this and loved it for over 2 yrs so bought the pro version last year. For some reason now I can only get the 1st 9 holes- I get yardage for the remaining holes but the hole number is missing. I got an iPhone 6 and updated to ios9 - not sure that has anything to do with it but please help!

Who needs skycaddie. So far I've played three of my favorite courses and it's preformed flawlessly I can't say enought about this app, And it's free ! Don't waste your time on those others this is the one you want.

I hate false advertising. Their pictures don't show the ad banners that are in the app. If they'd have shown ACCURATE pictures instead of manipulated pics I wouldn't have downloaded it. I did to see if I wanted to buy the pro app. DON'T BUY IT!

Awesome app. I have tries at least 10 of these free caddie apps and none of them had hardly any of the courses around my area so my hopes were not high. To my great surprise this app has almost every course I have ever played. It's simple but works great. Better than some dumb range finder my father in law spent like 250 bucks on and this cost me zero. Great application.

Ok app. Works decent. Two complaints thus far. In iOS, location services is either "always" or "never". When it's on always it drains the battery. Would be nice to have it set to "when app is in use". Other complaint is ads still come up even when purchased and they come up in the most odd moments.

FreeCaddie. This is one of the best, easy to use, apps I have tried. It is not fancy, but gives you the distance to the front, middle and back of the green with very good accuracy. It is as good as the $150 plus devices that are sold in stores - and it is free!

Lost Hole Numbers For The Back Nine. App worked great until I upgraded to the iOS 9. On every course the hole numbers on the back 9 are missing. Tried to reload but did not help. Otherwise no issues. Please fix!!

Frustrating with Pebble watch. I use this app with my Pebble watch, but after a few holes, it goes to Recovery Mode. Works fine on the iPhone, but it is a very basic app.

Always tracking location and selling to 3rd parties.. I've used Freecaddie for many years and have liked recent updates except for them using your location ALL the time. This is typically used for selling to 3rd parties for sending promotions. It's really disappointing. I will not be using this app any longer.

Everything I need. Have used for years after having a sky caddie and upro it is the most simple and easy to use golf gps app. Highly recommend

Can't opt out of ads even after buying app. You get ads at the wrong times. Can't opt out even after purchasing upgrade.

No need to spend$$$ on GPS. Played a round at metro in Oakland and worked just fine. To save battery, turn off 3G, lower brightness level and your good . At the end of a 4 1/2 hour round,had 3/4 of battery power left

Not Good.. Version prior to 5.0 was preferable. I’ll likely dump freeCaddie now.

Excellent!!!. The app exceeded my expectations using the pebble!! I used twice in the last week and it was a pleasure having the most accurate readings at a glance of my wrist. No need for a dedicated expensive GPS product or Apple watch.

Great yardage tracker!. The app works just like it should and provides the yardage just like you think it would. It connected to my pebble with no problems and managed to maintain a decent connection. I've only had it disconnect twice in a round of golf and that ended up being a lot better than other yardage apps. It barely used any power through the round and was pretty accurate. So far this is the best yardage app for the pebble.

Very great golf GPS. I have the FreeCaddiePro and have used it on 3 different courses. I really like it, all the info you need is right there on your phone. Distance to green, shot distance, distance to hazards, scoring. I am sure there are other feathers I have not discovered yet. So far this is the best golf GPS I have seen.

not the same. bring back the old app
